After much thought and prayer, I've made the difficult decision to file for divorce. This has not been an easy decision. As a working mom, I'm committed to giving my daugh the love, stability and support she will need while we navigate the next chapter together. I'm grateful for the love and encouragement of my family fans. I respectfully asked for privacy as we move forward. So. Yeah, just all that.

I. Mondays and Tuesdays, my days are so jammed that I end up leaving here and I slide right into my NFL show with five minutes before it starts. Then before I know it, it's three o' clock and I've had nothing to eat. So I was telling my wife last night, I was, you just need to take your lunch to work. I said, man, it feels like the old days working maintenance on the golf course.

[Eddie]

Oh, man. Lunch pail. No, the whistle blows.

[Bobby Bones]

So I brought my lunch today, which usually back in the old days, I would go home for 20 minutes. I don't know. Or we used to work from my house and do the NFL show from there so I could eat real quick because I would be home. But now I don't. But have my lunch here today, so.

[Eddie]

What is it?

[Eddie]

Yeah, what is it?

[Bobby Bones]

Don't worry about what it is, but

My wife made these biscuits. And so it's sausage, like, different sausage biscuit type things. Chicken, biscuits.

Container? No, but has a B on it. But that B is beef. But people will think it's Bobby multi use because they're chicken. And there's beef and bees, obviously.

But don't eat it.

The other day you gave me oatmeal, and I've been thinking about how nice that was. I was so hungry, and it happened to be a day where you randomly were like, does anybody want this oatmeal? And I was like, yes. And I've thought about it a few times, and I hope I properly thanked you at the time, but obviously you didn't know how hungry I was.

[Bobby Bones]

I didn't.

You didn't. But it was. It just hit the spot. And I'm. I'm grateful.

It is kind of cool when a friend, like, gives you. Like, I'm just starving. Like, I have a banana. Do you want a banana? Like, that's pretty cool.

Like, Mike has come through for me a lot, and Eddie's come through for me a few times. If I'm going up, I have nothing to eat. I'm not gonna be home till 4 or 5pm can you guys help me? Eddie, toss me a banana. Mike. Mike, I think, started to bring bars because he just knew it would happen. I think he had. I always have an extra. He's like a memaw. But he knew I would get hungry in the day. But yeah, I got brought my lunch up here today, so I'll probably eat that in the car.

That's cool. Not the break room.

I was picturing you in the break room setting up a table in like filming yourself eating.

[Eddie]

That's what I picture. But then I'm like, Bobby would never sit there by himself, like, eating his lunch.

It's not that I wouldn't waste that time.

It's not a waste of time if you're making a video.

But I wouldn't make a video about mukbang or whatever. What's it called?

I'm not gonna mukbang that small lunch. A mukbang is if you eat 20 biscuits.

No, people mukbang normal.

But I would only mukbang 20 biscuits and 20 sausages.

Yeah, you never see mukbang. It's what people eat on video.

Yeah. I, I, I, if, if ever I do a video where I'm trying to show a recipe or doing something that I want to share, I have to cut out where I eat or I cover my mouth. Like I just could. It's so awkward for me. I can't be a.

[Eddie]

You're right. There is a girl that I follow on Instagram who makes really good dishes, but she always eats it after she's done with it. And it's kind of like. And she's good looking.

[Amy]

But some people love that.

[Eddie]

I don't like that.

[Amy]

That's why they, they like their, their sort of like, what's the sound stuff?

[Bobby Bones]

Asmr.

[Amy]

Asmr. Mukbang is like people, they're satisfied by watching it.

[Eddie]

Weird.

You don't like seeing a hot chick eat or what?

She's hot. And then when she eats, I'm just like, don't eat like this.

[Bobby Bones]

ASMR doesn't do it for me. Like, I don't find that satisfying at all. And mukbang, because Mike used to watch a guy mugbang is eating a lot of food. Like, it is a lot. You can't just have a meal and get to call that mukbang.

[Amy]

So his mukbang, though, evolved to what people? I get what you're saying. Maybe that's the original origin. But if some people evolved it to think mukbang is just eating on camera.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah, it's just eating on camera. But I think the best ones are when they get a lot of food.

[Amy]

Okay.

[Bobby Bones]

Like when I was turned on to mukbang videos. It was people eating a lot because it would make the news or Mike would tell me about it. There was this one guy that made the news and he was a famous mukbanger and he's big and he made all these videos ahead of time. Like he recorded all of them and he just put them up on his normal schedule. But in the meantime, he. He was getting extremely fit. And then one day he just showed up and he lost £100 or something. Way more than that. Nick Avocado. Yeah. It was like the. If you watched his content, it was. The next day he lost 100 pounds.

[Eddie]

Wow.

[Bobby Bones]

Because he recorded all the videos and just kept releasing them on the same schedule. Is wild. Like, shout out him. Because I love the strategy of.

[Amy]

Yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

And he would do videos where he would go to, like, McDonald's, order everything on the menu and then eat it. That's what I like to like. Those are the mukbangers that got famous.

[Amy]

I saw a girl the other day, she had a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts and she put them on her hand.

[Eddie]

All of them.

[Amy]

She stacked them up and then she goes and smushed them down to make it bite size. Which is crazy. They do that.

[Bobby Bones]

You could smash that much.

[Amy]

Yes. Because they're so. They're full of air. And so then she smashed it down into this almost look like a hamburger. And she took a bite and she ate the whole thing.

[Bobby Bones]

That's a suicide.

[Amy]

So that was eating 12.

[Bobby Bones]

It's like our drinks back in the day when you would do all the drinks. It's a donut suicide.

[Amy]

12 donuts.

[Eddie]

That's crazy.

That nutritionally.

Yeah.

I was like, yeah, I would feel terrible after that. But yeah, I had no idea you could even do. And she acted when she was stacking them up, like, she was like, I'm going to build a sandwich. She was like, here's the bread. And she was like the turkey, the lettuce. But each.

It was all donuts.

[Amy]

I watched the whole thing.

[Eddie]

That's funny. You remember I ate. Was it. How many dozen donuts did I eat while I was on a treadmill?

We walked down our career where sometimes we don't remember segments anymore. I remember this.

Yeah. I had to run like a mile while eating donuts.

So the Krispy Kreme Challenge was created by a student run charity based to help North Carolina Children's Hospital. And so we took Eddie to an indoor location of a treadmill. He started off strong by running 2 miles in 16 minutes. He started to slow down when he had to shovel the donuts in his mouth. He finished all the donuts and headed back to the treadmill. So I guess you had to eat and then do it.

Yeah, I remember eating while I was

[Bobby Bones]

doing it and I said, you were

doing it and I said if you

[Bobby Bones]

did it, I would give you 100 bucks. But you decided to keep the hundred dollars for yourself.

[Eddie]

No, I didn't give it to charity.

[Bobby Bones]

What is this? Eddie completed the challenge. Oh, he decided not to keep the $100.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah. I didn't see that.

Not because, and I remember, I think the charity, you're right, it is North Carolina something. I still get emails from that charity.

So this is from Sunday, but it got me thinking about if I would stick around and go to this concert. Jay Z, because of a security threat at his show.

[Bobby Bones]

I'm going to tell you the story and then I'm going to ask you.

I saw it. I know the story. I watched some of the clips too.

[Amy]

Okay. Would you stay and go to a concert if it was delayed four hours? Supposed to start at 8pm and then your. The performer goes on stage at 12:20. The concert ends at 2:45 in the morning.

[Bobby Bones]

So they didn't even know if he's gonna come out. So it wasn't. It's gonna be delayed four hours. There's some people that overran a barrier, like fans.

[Amy]

So it caused a security threat.

[Bobby Bones]

Yes. And so then they had to make a decision. So everybody's for a lot of that time just waiting, not knowing. I think it's easier to wait, thinking it could happen at any minute.

[Amy]

Okay, I get that part.

[Caitlin]

So.

[Bobby Bones]

And it was at Yankee Stadium.

[Amy]

Yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah. So it wasn't Jay Z being late. No, it was. It happened. And now they have to decide if it's safe enough to go out. So a lot of that wait was people knowing about it and then just waiting to see what the answer would be. And I think that would be easier to wait because you don't. It could be happening at any minute. So you don't know.

[Amy]

Okay, that makes sense. Because I guess if it's 8 o' clock and I hear, okay, there's a security threat, it's gonna take at least four hours. I would be like, are we staying? And then also to go on at midnight or 12:20 in the morning. Is there a noise ordinance?

[Bobby Bones]

I don't know. I don't know about that. In that part of the country. And Yankee Stadium is kind of outside. Yeah, yeah. The finale began over three to four hours late after a security breach forced the gates to close, leaving about 10,000 fans even outside. Jay Z explained he delayed the start to ensure safety, apologizing to the crowd. The set ultimately stretched nearly 50 songs over, so he gave them an extra hour of show for those that waited, which pretty much everybody waited. Then they did fireworks after at 3am oh, dang.

[Amy]

I guess.

[Bobby Bones]

No, no.

[Eddie]

Nobody's sleeping in the Bronx.

[Bobby Bones]

And it wasn't their fault. Like, it. Lil Wayne didn't even show up to a show a couple weeks ago. He just didn't show up. It was like his first. He just didn't show up.

[Eddie]

That wasn't a security deal.

[Bobby Bones]

Nope. Everybody was there and there was no wheezy. So this is completely different because this was the last night of multiple nights. And so to answer your question, I think if I'm an hour and a half or two hours into waiting, thinking it could be any minute, and they're going, okay, we're going to be up and running in the next 90 minutes. I'm waiting because I've already waited two hours. If they say, hey, it's going to be four hours.

[Amy]

And did they re. If they can somehow know that you left, can you get a refund for your ticket?

[Bobby Bones]

A lot of the people weren't even allowed in because it happened so early. So there were, like I said, thousands of people outside the gates. So you could still get a refund, but also you could go freely, like go eat, come back.

[Amy]

Oh.

[Bobby Bones]

If you needed to or wanted to.

[Eddie]

So what was the breach?

[Bobby Bones]

Some people pushed over a gate, so

people that didn't have tickets were in there. Man. That's kind of what happened with the Travis Scott Houston thing.

Oh, no, no, it's not. That was inside the facility.

People died, but it was people, too.

[Bobby Bones]

There was way too many people that shouldn't have been in that concert.

At the very beginning, a bunch of people broke in. Yeah.

So, I mean, I get, like, taking your time on that.

This was before anything started, and I don't think anybody got hurt.

[Caitlin]

Right.

[Bobby Bones]

Because the Travis Scott thing, he got into all the trouble because he kept the show going.

[Eddie]

Knowing that that had happened.

[Bobby Bones]

Knowing that something happened.

[Eddie]

And I'm not even saying Travis Scott knew, but the promoters or the organizers from the documentary I saw, I mean.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah, they were telling him in his ear to stop. Yeah. And he continued on. No serious injuries or major casualties were reported through a security breach and crowd surge by individuals at Yankee Stadium. So my answer is, if I've waited through 90 minutes or two hours of it and they say it's going to be in the next hour and a half or so, I'm probably going to go and wait it out. If they say it's going to be four hours and we may or may not, I'm going to get my refund.

[Amy]

And that's pretty cool. I didn't know the part that he played an extra hour. So you're getting this special Jay Z type concert and fireworks at the end.

[Bobby Bones]

Rihanna did the final night. I mean, he had a lot of guests come out. Eminem did one of the earlier nights, which is pretty cool.

[Eddie]

That is cool. But let's be real. We probably would go to that concert Monday night.

[Amy]

No, Sunday night.

[Eddie]

Oh, Sunday.

There's a Seattle radio host, I guess his name's G. Scott Sr. And his son was getting married in Ohio. The wedding day to set. And like a few weeks before the wedding, they say, hey, man, you got a chance to emcee one of the World cup games in Seattle, but you'll have to miss your son's wedding. Okay. And he said, man, I got to emcee the. I got to emcee the World cup game.

[Amy]

What?

[Caitlin]

And so he missed his son's wedding so he could emcee the World cup game in Seattle.

[Morgan]

And.

[Caitlin]

And he was like, I know my son's gonna be mad at me, but this is like a once in a lifetime opportunity. And now he did an interview with people and he was like, man, looking back, I made the wrong decision.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah, it's not like you're playing in it even then. That's probably a little more tough decision. Although, if you're playing in it, you probably don't schedule a wedding to emcee it. You're just literally getting on the camera and going, hi, everybody. Here come some T shirts. I only know what you told me.

I mean, that's what the article said is he was like, I chose work over my son.

[Eddie]

That's terrible.

He's like, I. I hopefully one day he'll understand, but I think I can see it.

It's not even the final. Your favorite team is in, and you've been waiting your whole life. Even then, you don't do it. But that is at least a bit more substantial. Like, if you're French and you're in the championship and your dad just died and he was France's biggest fan and. Yeah, and your son's getting married, but, you know, it would admit so much to your D. No personal story connected to this dude. He just wanted to be on screen during a World Cup. I was like, oh, yeah, it's not good.

So I have a good news. One, because I saw this video going viral online. Eddie, there's a video coming for you. And there is this gibbon at a Albuquerque zoo, and she found a baby robin and started taking care of it and, like, even trying to feed it and was gently cradling it. It was a super sweet video.

[Bobby Bones]

What's a gibbon?

[Eddie]

[Morgan]

It's a primate. Yeah, it's a monkey.

[Eddie]

Oh, it's a kind of monkey.

[Bobby Bones]

Did you guys know what a given was?

[Amy]

I didn't know.

Just because I go to the zoo all the time.

[Bobby Bones]

Oh, I had no idea. So this monkey is raising a bird?

[Morgan]

Yeah, she found it in her enclosure.

[Caitlin]

Oh, look at that.

[Morgan]

Yeah. Little baby bird under there.

[Amy]

That is so cute.

Was she doing the mouth thing?

[Morgan]

She was trying to feed it and take care of it. And then eventually she set it aside to eat her breakfast. And that's when the Zoom zookeepers came in and safely retrieved it and got the robin back with its mom. But she cared for it for a couple hours.

Man, that's cool.

[Eddie]

It's pretty cute.

[Bobby Bones]

Like, nature is instinctually having nature take care of nature.

[Eddie]

Yeah.

[Morgan]

And she had just welcomed, like a while before her own baby, so she was definitely doing the mothering thing with the baby robin.

she's just taking care of it, trying to feed it. I also learned that not all monkeys, apes, gorillas are not all the same thing. They're just all primates.

So apes belong to a different biological group than monkeys. So, like, monkeys usually have tails while apes do not.

[Bobby Bones]

Is this because I knew that, but is this like alligator, crocodile, kind of

[Morgan]

like they're all in the same primate category, but they definitely. You can't just say like, oh, it's a monkey, but it may not be. It could be a ape version of that, which I didn't realize. I kind of just all. I saw them all as monkeys.

[Bobby Bones]

My great aunt had a spider monkey when I was really little, used to poop and throw it at people. And then it started biting people. So I don't know what happened to it. It was also my great aunt, so I was not like, we were that close. She lived in little rocks. My grandma's sister, she was old, but they had a spider. She had a spider monkey. I saw it twice. Thought it was the coolest thing ever. Tell all my friends about it. One day I went back and it was gone.

[Eddie]

Oh, it was mean.

[Amy]

No, they probably had to take care

[Eddie]

of people or the zoo. So my uncle, he's a drug dealer. He had a monkey and he bit my mom.

[Bobby Bones]

And if I was a drug dealer, I'd have a monkey.

[Eddie]

It's kind of like. And it was unspoken, like, because everybody was like, how did he get that? Nobody would answer. How did he get the monkey? Figure I was part of a drug dealer something, right?

I'd for sure have a monkey if I did. Drug dealership.

Yeah, but same thing. Like, you're saying the monkey was dangerous after a while, just angry all the time. So they just sent to the zoo.

He gets Bubbles, his monkey.

He has a monkey. It looks awesome because I'm a dog. Something so cool to have that monkey. But remember the documentary where the woman had the monkey all the ripped off her face?

The chimpanzee.

[Bobby Bones]

In the end, it ended up being the face ripoff. Right? Or am I thinking, are there two? No, there's two. Or there are two different ones. Wasn't a series on hbo, Max. The Chimp Crazy. Yeah, I don't think that one ended with the monkey face.

[Caitlin]

Oh, that's a different one. I, I, I.

[Eddie]

Which one are you talking about?

[Bobby Bones]

That was a woman's story.

She kept a chimpanzee in her house. And then like, a friend came over, neighbor the nate. And it ripped her face off.

My brother had a neighbor where he collected snakes and his boa killed him.

Yeah, like his family members, like, we can't get a hold of him. They went to go to his house to check on him.

For that to happen a bit, you have to know the snake is wrapping itself around your neck because it's a slow. The snake doesn't just jump out of the corner and wrap and take you down like a wrestling match. Like you might be wearing it around your neck. And it gets to the point and you're like, oh, this is Funny. Let's see how tight it gets. And then it just. Then it gets so tight.

[Eddie]

Yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

You have to know that's happening while it's happening.

[Eddie]

It's almost like some of these people that have snakes are so, like, trustworthy with it. Like, oh, I'm just gonna let him crawl around my shoulders and. Oh, it's cute. He's getting around my neck.

So I'm saying, oh, it's wrapping. Oh, I wonder how tight this will be.

[Eddie]

And then, boom.

[Bobby Bones]

Then it gets to the point where you can't. But then you run and get a fork and stab it to death.

[Eddie]

I don't think they'll let go, dude.

Oh, if you kill it, it will. If there is a snake around my neck and I got utensils anywhere, I'm about to get released.

Yeah, this thing was huge.

I'm gonna grab its head, and I'm gonna start stabbing it. Oh, man. Yeah, I say that.

I mean, it's a good strategy.

The last American polio survivor in an iron lung died after the machine started to break down. And not only that, they couldn't find anyone to repair it. Because polio. No, because of the machine, because of the lung. Because there aren't iron lung repair people anymore.

But this is, like, today. There's polio going on right now.

No, but she got it when she was younger. She's 78 now.

So she got polio at five years old in 1953, just two years before the polio vaccine became available, and spent most of her life using this massive breathing machine after the disease left her with severe paralysis. And so the iron lung is actually not a lung you put in your body, by the way. I should have said that to begin with.

[Bobby Bones]

I was like, that's because your body won't accept iron. Like that. My fault. So, yeah, she used this big old clunky breathing machine that was called an iron lung, and it broke down, and nobody could fix it.

[Eddie]

So she died.

[Eddie]

That's terrible.

In California. In Southern California. Like, a bunch of people now are getting. Like, they're getting arrested or they're getting citations for fireworks. They part they popped on fourth of July. And they're like, what? How do you know? Like, I wasn't popping fourth of fireworks on fourth of July. It turns out that they were flying drones all over the city.

[Bobby Bones]

Funny.

[Eddie]

And whenever they saw a firework, boop, that's the address. Pop them later. And now I love it. It's crazy. And. And I understand now this is Southern California.

[Bobby Bones]

Like, they're the fire do that in middle Tennessee. Yeah.

It feels like probably the first people that ever drove under in the interstate. One of those cameras would give you a ticket. You're like, what's this mail? I got a ticket. There's a camera.

[Eddie]

That wasn't me.

How did that happen?

[Eddie]

Right? Or like, even the tolls. You're just like, I didn't go through a toll. And then you look at the picture and like, no, that's me. Yep.

That's funny. I hope they do that everywhere. And they should, because it won't cost them much money. And secondly, they'll make money and people will stop popping freaking fireworks on the third and the fifth.

[Amy]

Yes.

[Eddie]

And the sixth. Sometimes.

Yeah. And I know on the fourth, even in places you're not supposed to, people are shooting fireworks. I don't even care about that. Maybe they get a warning. But don't be doing on the third because I'm not prepared with my dogs or our baby. Or the fifth when we were going, woo. Glad that's over. Pow, pow, pow, pow.

[Eddie]

Yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

Whoever came up with that idea should get a raise.

[Eddie]

Dude. The footage is funny too, because you see people pop the fireworks and they run into their houses like, wasn't me.

[Amy]

No, I did. And I don't think it's for me. I couldn't drink enough water.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah.

So I had to make a choice. And then I didn't see the cognitive benefits that so many people were talking about because I think you have to take. I was taking five and they said to work your way up to 10. Is it grams or I can't remember how much. A little scoop. I would do one scoop. And to me, I was like, I took it long enough to see if I noticed a difference and I didn't.

[Bobby Bones]

So now they're saying creatine may do more than boost muscle performance. It may help fight cancer.

[Amy]

Well, dang, now I needed it back to me.

[Bobby Bones]

And I've had a couple seasons of creatine, one in like 11th grade, because that was what you took in off season football to try to get bigger. So everybody took creatine and then I took it a year and a half or so ago a bit I just, I couldn't drink enough water and it made me feel bloated too. Because it's water. It's water in your muscles basically.

[Amy]

Right.

Is that a rudimentary.

[Amy]

Yeah, but also your organs need like your kidney. If you're not drinking enough water, it can be damaging to your kidneys, for example. And so then you have to weigh other health concerns that could come if you're not taking it properly.

They researchers at UCLA report that the supplement best known for boosting muscle performance also appears to energize key immune cells that help the body target tumors, at least in mice and lab grown human cells. It's interesting.

Oh, my gosh. Is it. Cancers are benign.

He said that? And I'll read you this from People. Joe Amible revealed he has what appears to be an early stage brain tumor after doctors discovered a lesion during his scan. He'll undergo brain surgery in two weeks to remove the rest of the tumor. I did see what he said. It was blueberry sized. It was like, all bad news coming yesterday.

[Amy]

Oh, my gosh.

[Bobby Bones]

One after the other.

[Amy]

Oh, that surgery's scary.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah. I'd want to play the violin or something while they did that, to make sure.

[Eddie]

To make sure what?

Well, they have people that can play the violin. Play the violin while they're getting some of those brain surgeries done to make sure they can still play. Oh, but I can't play at all, so it'd be crazy if I got it. And then you learn how to play it. I came out of it, and I was playing violin. But, yeah, two stories yesterday. I was like, what the crap is happening? And then there's that explosive diarrhea traveling all around the country.

[Amy]

That's freaking Me out. I mean, it wasn't at first, but same.

[Bobby Bones]

They haven't had a little bit of explosive diarrhea.

[Eddie]

But now even Taco Bell is cutting back their ingredients to go. We're not even risking it.

[Amy]

Yeah. There's no lettuce, guac, cilantro, or pico de gallo at Taco Bell.

[Bobby Bones]

And it's not because people are getting sick from Taco Bell. It's just them going, hey, we're going

[Amy]

to be proactive and not serve you this and not.

So that's what's causing it, is cilantro.

No, it's all those items.

If it were only cilantro trouble, that'd be an easy dodge for me. I'm not a big cilantro guy.

No, there's. It's fruits, vegetables. They're even saying, like, make sure you heat your fruit. And I'm like, heat your fruit to 158.

Right. But on it, I mean, I could see myself eating a baked apple, but other than that, like, what other fruit am I heating up?

You don't eat fruit jerky.

But I'm dehydrated.

That Joe story. So whenever he shared about his brain tumor, he did that prenuva.

What is that? Oh, this is scary.

Did you go in and get scanned?

[Amy]

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

He said, I didn't share my prenuva results because they ended up finding a lesion in my brain. So then I had to go get a brain MRI and there was a blueberry sized lesion in my brain, which is a tumor. So, yeah, that is a helpless feeling, I bet.

[Eddie]

And it's crazy that a blueberry size is early stage. I would think that that's like pretty intense.

[Amy]

Blueberry. What kind of blueberries.

[Bobby Bones]

But I mean, yeah, like a marble grows that big. That's. That's a big.

[Amy]

How big are the blueberries you're eating?

[Amy]

Are you heating them up? Are you shrinking them?

Well, sometimes you hear things. They have a tumor the size of

a golf ball or right in your brain, though.

Yeah, I know. I don't know. Maybe I compare it. My mom had a brain tumor, but it was benign, so she didn't get it removed. But it was a pretty large mass. They wanted to monitor it because if it grows, even though it was benign, it's more of like when it interferes with other things in your brain, then it can cause issues. And my cousin just had one removed from his brain and everything was going okay, and now it's not.

[Bobby Bones]

Well, what's up with everybody in your family getting brain tumors?

[Amy]

I don't know.

[Bobby Bones]

Have you thought about that?

[Eddie]

That's two.

I hadn't because I just see my mom and my cousin is.

Are they blood at all?

[Amy]

Yep. It's her brother's.

Because they couldn't. They may not be. If it's like your dad, I get it.

No, it was. It's. It's my mom's brother's son. And I think I even told y' all in one of our personal tell me something's good that the surgery had gone well, but then things went terribly wrong. And he's. It's been a couple months now and he's still in the hospital, like in, like a rehab now, because there's all different kinds of things. And he's got a trach now and a feeding tube. It. I don't know. It's just surgery up there is crazy. That's what happened to my dad. I mean, anywhere on your head. Like, my dad had throat surgery. They're like, oh, yeah, everything will be fine. And then everything just went downhill.

[Bobby Bones]

This has turned into a. Tell me something sucks.

[Amy]

That's on me, though. I started it. So I just play a song.

You guys, Ray thinks that he's gonna win $11,000 at Papa Palooza if he gets first. That's not true. The winner doesn't get eleven thousand dollars. There's eleven thousand dollar total in prizes. First place gets five thousand. Bo spending way more money than he should be on this. But have a good one, Ray. Ray's competing on ESPN on Saturday in that mini basketball game when you go to Dave and Buster's and you shoot those little basketballs and you have basically a minute. He. He won the Las Vegas tournament.

[Eddie]

Tournament, yeah, tournament.

He won. So I paid for him and Scuba Steve to go out there and flights are not cheap. And I said, hey, I'll take 10% of your winnings.

[Amy]

Not knowing what the winnings were.

[Bobby Bones]

Not knowing what the winnings were. And then I didn't think he would finish first. I just did it for the bit. And you can watch it on our YouTube page. Watch the video of them competing. It's obbyboneshow on YouTube. And Ray wins the whole thing. So I'm flying Ray back to Vegas again this weekend, and he'll be competing on espn. Ray, we're watching it at the house. We're having a big party. Yeah. And it's a single elimination tournament, and he's playing that game on espn. And, yeah, I told Ray to keep the money if he wins, because 10% of $5,000 is $500, and he should just keep it. Yes. I spent way, way, way, way, way more than that to get him out there. But, you know, if he's following his passion, I love helping him. And you got to think I'm gonna get more TV time than a guy in middle management with kids. It's a little out of shape. I mean, I'm tanned and I've been working out. You just said a bunch of words that really don't make a lot of sense, but we're rooting for you. Anyway, the cameras are gonna follow me. I wouldn't be. I would honestly believe that they would. They're gonna show some of my games just because also, we've been. I hope they show everybody's games. Are they not? Yeah, I mean, they are, but remember, 64 March Madness. You know how long is around. It's two hours, so I don't know how many. How long's a round of the game? 55 seconds.

There's 32. That'd be 32 minutes for the first round. I believe they'll be. It ends up being about the exact same amount of players as games, so I think there'll be about 65 games. Okay. They better show Ray on this. If he never makes it, if he's like someone that goes on American Idol and makes it pretty far, but they never show him on camera, that would be a nightmare. The biggest nightmare is going out there and being done in 55 seconds. I mean, that's quicker than Conor McGregor.

Yeah, don't do that.

Don't lose. But you've made it to the championship, and I'm proud of you. Yeah. And, I mean, I got nobody out there going out with me, so I'm basically holed up in the hotel room until the tournament that night. That means nonstop focus, though. Oh, trash can and basketball. Nonstop focus. Yes. So on ESPN, Saturday night, Raymundo will compete in the Papa Palooza.

Does that come with Disney? ESPN plus, possibly.

In the bundle.

Pretty cool. To me. That's pretty cool. Researchers at University of California, San Diego pulled off two operations, including a complete gallbladder removal on large living mammals.

[Amy]

So, okay, so. So animals.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah.

Okay. I thought that was on humans.

[Bobby Bones]

I was like, who volunteers for that?

[Eddie]

So here, I think, is the misconception that they're just robots. And you go, hey, Roomba, go over there, do some cutting and get it out.

[Amy]

Well, I figure doctors are maybe, like, on TV shows, you see doctors, like, behind a thing, like, controlling the robot.

[Bobby Bones]

So these robots are definitely a tool. They're alongside the doctor. So before you think that you're just going into a robot hospital, although that'd be pretty cool.

[Eddie]

All robots.

[Bobby Bones]

Thank you. Check in right here. So the machine is nicknamed Sergi. 5ft tall, 60 pounds. And human operators control them remotely by using motion capture, foot pedals, tracking systems. It's basically AI. That's a tool from the doctors.

[Amy]

Okay.

[Bobby Bones]

We've been using tools with doctors forever, and the tools have been getting better and better and better. And what's great about this is a Couple of things. One, robots don't have bad days, Robots hands don't shake, robots don't get in fights at home and come to work when they need to save someone's life. And they're not mentally 100% well, which as humans, that's what happens. It doesn't matter what your job is. You're not the same every day. So with technology like this, you get a lot of consistency, you get extreme precision, which is going to help whenever you're recuperating. So there are a lot of benefits to this. And again, it's not just you putting robots in a room and walking in. Eventually that could be the case. But you know me, self driving cars are for sure the future too. And people go, well, I saw a story where a self driving car hit somebody. Yep, you did, because that was the one. But did you see the 10,000 stories of people that are driving cars hit somebody? And if we're all like on the same grid, I think I would trust a computer more than I would trust a human that's on his phone or that has kids in the backseat yelling at them or that's drunk or that's. So I'm all for eventually healthcare costs. This will benefit us in a positive way there too. So I'm very pro robot. In case any AI is listening right now. I'm on your team. When you guys decide to like, let it rip, I'm here. I've been on your side forever.

If you're using a filter on your Instagram, that's AI. Your algorithm is AI. There's been AI in everything you've been using for 100 years now. Is there the ability for it to get. Yeah, but they had the same thoughts of the Internet, like, oh, Internet's awesome. Oh, you can do bad stuff on the Internet. The Internet's gonna kill us. Well, yep. To both. Yep. He cashed in a 12.8 million dollar lottery ticket left behind by a customer, but he didn't. He didn't do anything wrong, so he kept the money. A Circle K clerk alleges that he followed a company policy because they're fighting over it. It's in the courts about who owns a lottery ticket worth $12.8 million.

[Amy]

Oh, my gosh, that's wild.

[Bobby Bones]

Circle K filed a complaint against the store clerk in February, accusing him of trying to cash in the winning lottery tickets that a customer left behind at the store. And the customer bought multiple tickets for the Pick Lottery game in which players must match six numbers in their tickets. According to the complaint, they printed off $85 worth of tickets, but the customer only paid for $60, leaving $25 worth of tickets on the counter. The remaining tickets were left unattended in the store until the next morning and the winning numbers were called. He clocked out of work that day, purchased the abandoned tickets from an employee. Can you buy them, though, after numbers are called?

That's what I. I don't understand is once the numbers are called, I feel like it is void. Void. But I don't understand the rules. There must be some rule where you can still buy them.

[Amy]

Because it was printed.

[Caitlin]

Because it was already printed.

Yeah, but they weren't paid for.

Right. So I don't know the regulations. There has to be something in the writing. But it's crazy that it's not like the lottery's come out and said, no, it's void. So they are saying it's a valid ticket. Now they're just trying to decide who owns it.

Well, the customer doesn't own it.

He didn't pay for it.

Right. But the Circle K, the owner of the gas station is saying, hey, that should be my ticket.

[Bobby Bones]

I probably fight for it too.

I mean, I'm sure we could work out a deal.

Well, that's what they want.

$8 million.

Even if it's not yours. And you fight for it. You're hoping for a settlement, that you get a couple million bucks out of it.

And the deal is between the owner and the employee. Right. Not the guy that.

You got to know it's you, though, right? Because what happened? So they printed out 80, and he's like, no, I only paid for. I'm only paying for 60.

So he's got to remember that trans.

The attorney claimed that his client followed store policy, which requires employees to purchase any leftover lottery tickets. What does that mean?

What kind of policy is. Hey, man, when you get off work, if someone got lottery tickets, you have to use your money to buy those.

[Bobby Bones]

Maybe it's that if you print them off, you need to get the money first before you print them off.

That would make sense. Meaning don't print them out until they pay for them.

Otherwise, you're prematurely printing them. So is that you mess up. You have to pay for what you. Your mess up.

well, but they're already there. He, He. What he should have done was purchase them before his shift ended because that's policy. But he. He did it a day later.

But if he purchases them. Purchases them before, he wouldn't know there's a winner.

No, no, no. He purchased it before his shift ends because remember you, you said he printed them out and the customer only bought $60 worth. So the, the re. The remainder of the tickets are on him because company policy is that you have to pay for them.

Yeah. It said the unsold tickets were left in the store overnight. The following morning, after the winning numbers were called, he removed his work shirt, put a regular shirt on, clocked out.

The legal question is whether he cheated the lottery system by generating a winning ticket afterward. The legal fight is ownership.

I'm just reading this news story. I don't know. I always like when people fight over lottery tickets. It's kind of a fun story. Unless they're like, screwing over old people. I like it when there's divorces and they win the lottery, like in the month that they're divorcing. Oh, yeah, Those are funny to me. That's happened recently with somebody where there's a. They're going through a divorce. The judge has already said it. Yep. It's I, I declare you divorced on this date. But the date didn't hit yet. And one of them hit the lottery.

She won a four million dollar scratch off.

But. But they were still technically married.

[Caitlin]

Yep. And so the guy said, hey, whoa, whoa, whoa. We're not. The divorce didn't get finalized because you owe me half that money.

[Amy]

So they went to court and did he get it?

[Bobby Bones]

Because now the judge, I believe the judge said that only the winner is getting the money.

[Caitlin]

The judge said the woman keeps the money.

[Amy]

Yes.

But they're not divorced yet. Officially.

[Eddie]

I'd say it's not.

However. No, they've been in the process. And just because the judge gave a date that happened to be a weaker

legal date, I bet if it's flipped, it'd be being split. I bet if a dude won, he'd be splitting the money.

I'm not going to try to take it from my part. Like, if I'm getting a divorce and the guy I'm divorcing from wins a ticket and we're a few days out, but we've already started the process. I'm not going to take the money.
