He doesn't think I'm qualified enough. And they come up with a plan to murder him. And so he gets off the bus with her, and they go in and shoot and kill him.

So, Amy presents Men are Crazy.

[Bobby Bones]

What do you got?

[Eddie]

There's this 33 year old man who is now going to be spending four months in jail for stalking his girlfriend. He was so desperate to see her that he shipped himself in a box to her house.

[Bobby Bones]

No way.

[Eddie]

Opened it up. He came out, threatened her with a gun.

[Bobby Bones]

No.

[Eddie]

And took her keys. So when she kicked him out, he was still coming back to her house. She ended up installing security cams and you see him returning to the house several times.

[Bobby Bones]

How do you mail your. How did he mail himself to the same. Like, how do you eat? How do you pee? How do you.

[Eddie]

Yeah, well, I don't know if it was by the US Postal Service or FedEx, but he was delivered in a box. So maybe he had like a courier pick him up.

[Bobby Bones]

Or a buddy.

[Eddie]

Yeah, hey, can you drop me up? But listen, if any of y'all have a buddy that's going to actually deliver you to a girlfriend's house, but maybe they don't know you're crazy. Maybe they think you're just like trying to be romantic. But he was definitely stalking her and this was his way in.

[Bobby Bones]

How far in did he get? Did they. Because I feel like that's a pretty heavy box. Did they get the box in the house?

[Eddie]

Yeah, the box was inside the house. And she said once it was inside, he came out of the box and then threatened her with a gun. Which he denies, by the way.

[Amy]

Of course. But you can't admit to that.

[Eddie]

Yeah. And then he, like I said, took her keys, then she kicked him out. And then he kept returning to the residence, and he told the judge, no, no, no, no. She gave me the keys. I was returning because she voluntarily gave me access. And she's like, no, no, no. So, anyway, he's been sentenced to four months in jail for stalking.

[Bobby Bones]

And that's Amy presents Men are crazy. That's wild. Both are wild. So I would say the Lunchbox Women are Crazy is a little worse because somebody died.

[Amy]

Yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

But this one took real, like, loony thought, like, I'm gonna get in a box and be delivered over there.

[Eddie]

I mean. And also in Lunchbox's story, I mean, he. She did recruit a man to help her go kill her boyfriend. So.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah, Right. So men are awesome. Men are crazy. Because they'll do any. They'll go crazy for a woman that.

[Eddie]

They met three minutes ago on a bus.

[Bobby Bones]

Well, this guy got in a box. Yeah. Men are crazy. You know what? Men are crazier. I'm with that.

[Eddie]

Okay. They bought a painting at a garage sale for 50 bucks. It's a Van Gogh. Wow. 50 bucks at a Minnesota garage sale. The painting, titled Elemar, was previously analyzed by a Van Gogh museum in the Netherlands. And it's a. It looks like a guy smoking a pipe, shoulders up, got a little furry hat on near the ocean. The painting was bought for 50 bucks. It's not even. They knew. They just thought it was an old, cool painting. And so they brought in experts, historians, scientists, data analysts. This thing could be worth $15 million. Imagine $50 because you think this old, crappy painting is kind of cool to, like, put in the bathroom, and it's worth $15 million. They're still in the process of authenticating it.

[Eddie]

Do you go back to the garage sale?

[Bobby Bones]

No.

[Eddie]

You don't give that home anything.

[Bobby Bones]

No, they sold it.

[Eddie]

I know they did, but, I mean, they didn't know. And it's like, you're never. 15 million. They'll never know. This is all in the news. They're going to know. Like, that they know.

[Bobby Bones]

I don't know.

[Eddie]

They're going to know.

[Amy]

Bones, you think that, like, somewhere along the lines, like, whoever bought it originally knew he was Van Go, but then didn't tell anyone?

[Bobby Bones]

The reason I think I wouldn't go back is because that. That is right for lawsuits against you to have nothing.

[Eddie]

Oh, okay.

[Bobby Bones]

Well, and why would you want to open yourself up to that? Because you did nothing wrong except buy the painting. And then all of a sudden, somebody starts Suing you, and you're like, well, I guess I'll just settle to give them $5 million. So I have to go through years and years of not getting any money, so my answer would be no to that.

[Eddie]

Maybe you just pay off their mortgage for them secretly.

[Amy]

Something that can be a lot of money.

[Bobby Bones]

And then they think they're getting scammed.

[Eddie]

I don't know.

[Bobby Bones]

I hear you. It's just if you go back and you're like, hey, I bought this from your house. 50 bucks. Do you know how many lawsuits there are going to be? People advising them in every what way? Every lawyer trying to get money? Nope, I wouldn't. Not because I don't think I'm a kind hearted person, but because that's just too much drama. I bought the painting not knowing I got lucky. I didn't scam anybody. I got lucky, okay? So that's why I would say no to that. I don't mind the secret mortgage, but if somebody did that to me, I would think for sure I'm in the middle of a scam central.

[Eddie]

Well, you're not. It's paid for.

[Bobby Bones]

If somebody paid off your mortgage, if you went home today.

[Eddie]

Yes.

[Bobby Bones]

And you're like, hey, some mystery shopper has paid off your mortgage, what would you do?

[Eddie]

I'd be like, oh, my money meditation worked.

[Bobby Bones]

They'd say, what the heck's a money meditation? What? What? What is.

[Eddie]

Oh, I was doing a meditation about welcoming more abundance instead of lack. Like, sometimes I feel like I think in a lack mentality, and I just want to think more abundance. Like, you know, So I would be.

[Bobby Bones]

Like, wow, isn't that about appreciation more than getting well?

[Eddie]

I'd be like, look, all I did was shift my mindset from no more lack. And look what it did. My mortgage got paid off.

[Bobby Bones]

I for sure would think I was being scammed.

[Amy]

I would thank the Lord.

[Bobby Bones]

You wouldn't check?

[Amy]

No.

[Bobby Bones]

You wouldn't check to see.

[Eddie]

I'd pay it forward. I'd be like, wow, look what was done for me. I shall do unto others.

[Bobby Bones]

And then I would think, though, then it would get caught up that I didn't pay off my mortgage. And then I just paid it forward and lost backwards.

[Eddie]

That's you thinking in lack.

[Bobby Bones]

I don't even like sports, but I like to go to the Super Bowl.

Yeah. Number two is New Orleans. Great city. We love being there. Not really built the same as a Vegas, a Los Angeles. As far as, like, the amount of hotel space, that's. That could be a bit difficult. And then also they say a little bit. The host city's still reeling from the terrorist attack, which is January 1st, right?

[Eddie]

Yeah.

[Bobby Bones]

So. But if you want to go get your ticket for kickoff, Kevin, $4,000.

[Amy]

There's still a chance.

That stinks, huh? Yeah, it stinks for all. That stinks. And it stinks for him that he has to go with us.

Because athletically, I'm sure Kevin would have.

Trust me. So let's see. Do you think your partner is totally honest with you? That's the question. Relationship experts say probably not.

[Eddie]

What does totally mean? Like, hey, are you having a good day? And they're like, yeah. And they really mean no.

[Bobby Bones]

It's virtually impossible to be 100 accurate with everything you say. Reveal. Recollect. Also, I just don't remember things sometimes. There have been times in my relationship with my wife where if I can't remember, I picked the option that would get me in the most trouble. So since I can't remember, I'd rather go ahead and get in trouble than be a liar later and get into that trouble later. Plus the lying. And then turns out she'll be like, wait, I just found out that wasn't true what you said. And I'm like, what do you mean? I gave worst possible answer. And she was like, that wasn't. And I was like, you know what? I'll be honest with you. I didn't know. So I just said the worst possible thing and went in and took my lickings.

[Eddie]

Like, I'm trying to imagine what you so complicated. Fine.

[Bobby Bones]

One day it would be like if I forgot food or something. If she said, told me to get food or something. And like, I forgot. And she was like, do you remember me tell? And I'm like, no. And I should have got it for you. It's my. I knew you had said it. I was just. She's like, no, I never told you to get food.

[Eddie]

I'm like, oh, yeah, you just admit.

[Bobby Bones]

I just don't remember. So I will just admit whatever. Whatever can get me in the most trouble immediately, I will admit to it, because that might have happened. I just don't remember, and I'd rather be in trouble than lie.

[Eddie]

She's like, did you eat all these cookies? And you're like, yes, I did them all.

[Bobby Bones]

And Stanley's got, like, cookies coming off his face.

[Eddie]

Yeah, okay.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah. So they say your partner's not 100% honest with you around. 90% of people keep small secrets. Research finds it's things like ruining a meal by eating it or watching a TV show you're supposed to watch together. Oh, I would never do that. That's a cardinal sin. I would never. She'd divorce me. Yes, I understand that Abby lost, so she's got to read the Empyrean series. At least the first book. I have to tell you, this series is unbelievable. It's the biggest rage all over the Internet. If you look at it and the series, the book is excellent. Rebecca Yarres was the one that wrote the books. Only three are out right now. I'm on the third one, but I got my husband to read it. I got my sister to read it, and they can't put it down. Abby, I know you laughed, but, Amy, you should really read the book.

[Bobby Bones]

Well, their names do sound a lot alike. So what happened was Amy ended up losing Abby. We wanted Abby to lose. Actually, we wanted Lunchbox already to lose. Let's be honest.

[Eddie]

Maybe it's just confusing because it's like the loser is actually the winner.

[Bobby Bones]

But regardless, I believe. I believe the book is good, but I didn't want to read it, really. And to me, a fantasy romance. A phantomance. What do you call it?

[Eddie]

A romantasy.

[Bobby Bones]

Exactly what I meant. Doesn't sound appealing to me. Even though I loved the Hunger Games, I read the books way before the movie, before I knew the movie was coming out. Because if I hadn't known the movie was coming out, I probably would have waited for the movie. I'm not that cool.

[Eddie]

Yeah. Yeah. There's not. The romance stuff is. Not in Hunger Games.

[Bobby Bones]

Not really. It's Katniss and Peeta, and you kind of root for them, but you don't know what's up. So I'm not against it in any way. I just didn't want to have to read a 500 page book and do a book report on the show for a personal pan pizza for book it. Which is basically what this is gonna be. Nobody did book it. Huh?

[Amy]

I cheated.

[Bobby Bones]

Okay? Nobody looked like they got the reference. And so I just. I just settled in my chair. No.

[Amy]

Like, I would take the test, but I would never read the book and I'd never get the pizza.

[Bobby Bones]

No, I got lots of personal pan.

[Eddie]

Pizzas just for that.

[Bobby Bones]

Me too. I crushed. Okay, so Amy's gonna read it and report back. The thing is, Amy wants to cheat and listen to it.

[Eddie]

No, I'll read. I'll read. Yes, but my friend did say that on audible, you can listen to it.

[Bobby Bones]

You Hear the moans.

No, no, no.

Yeah.

Here there's options. You can just listen to someone narrate it, or you can listen to it being acted out by 10 different actors.

Or something terrible and easier. For this bit that sounds the worst. It's like you listen to a play.

She said it was awesome. I'm just saying for other listeners that maybe want to have that experience. She thought it was great. And then I will read it, because I know that that's part of the thing. Is, like reading 500 pages.

Does audible have the acting out?

[Eddie]

Yes, Audible has the narrator. Like, you can just listen to someone read it, or you can choose the. I forget what they call it. Like, the. It's like the visual movie version or something.

[Bobby Bones]

So Amy brings up a great point. I don't want to get lost in the great point she's making. She needs to be punished, which is.

[Eddie]

A 500 pages of reading.

[Bobby Bones]

Correct. But for everybody else that ends up wanting to read this, listen to it. Listening to books on Audible is the way to go. Like, for sure. And then if you can do that on Audible, that's awesome too. So I would Recommend the Audible if 500 book. The book is just thick in real life. I'd like for you to bring it in every day too. Amy, the book. Would you carry it in? Like, you're going to school every day.

[Eddie]

With the book physically carrying it around?

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah, we just need you to, like, have it with you too.

[Eddie]

My. My friend text me. She said. She said you definitely need to do the Audible version because it's kind of like a movie with different characters, and you visualize it all and your mind is being acted out.

[Bobby Bones]

And I think that's great.

[Eddie]

Yeah.

For anyone not being punished.

Okay. Y'all carry the book around. I mean, I'm gonna have to. How am I gonna finish 500 pages if I'm not reading every spare minute of my day?

[Bobby Bones]

The people that I always looked at and admired and wished I was more like are people that would just do random things, like go sit and get your tags renewed or have to wait for oil change. And they're just reading a book, like, randomly. They just take a book with them, and anytime they have a couple minutes, they read a book.

[Eddie]

That's gonna be me.

[Bobby Bones]

Because I'm for sure, like, knuckles deep in Twitter. TikTok. I take my AirPods. Like, I take my AirPods and phone. When people that like to read books or reading books, like, I wish that was me. I like to read some. I probably have about seven months of the year where I read. I'm in. And I have a couple months where I'm just like, I got nothing. Nothing in the tank as far as reading, because it's just like, I need to be on TikTok.

[Eddie]

You don't need to be. No, I do, I do.

[Bobby Bones]

TikTok brings me a lot.

[Eddie]

Yeah, TikTok's awesome.

[Bobby Bones]

And I love how they change the terms of service to where they can get in your phone and own everything and know everything about you and even get in your bank account. That's fine.

[Amy]

Oh, that's great.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah.

[Eddie]

Yeah. I hadn't even been on TikTok in a little bit, and when I first. I opened it up last night for something and the first thing it sent me was stuff I had been searching elsewhere and I haven't even been on TikTok and then boom, there it is.

[Bobby Bones]

I'm surprised. After all the years of I know everything, hearing, knowing that that would surprise you.

[Eddie]

It doesn't. It just every time it happens in a real dramatic way, it's like, still does. It's still a little interesting how it happens.

[Bobby Bones]

Fair enough. Little interesting. I'll accept.

[Eddie]

Okay.

[Bobby Bones]

Because I'll search for things on Google and then it'll pop up on TikTok. But I'm like, you know what? They're just in my phone.

[Eddie]

Yeah. No, I mean, honestly, I was grateful. It was helpful.

[Bobby Bones]

Now it switches. But, you know, I'll be honest with you, I was very happy and heaven.

[Eddie]

Yeah, obviously I was looking for information and then bam, there it was in a three minute video or however long it was.

[Bobby Bones]

Yeah, TikTok, you just got to know who to trust. There are a couple things on TikTok. You got to know who to trust and to make sure, if you're going to take any advice that there's somebody who has a blue check or has a back, a specific background in it. And playing cards, you got to know when to hold them and when to fold them, when to walk away.

[Eddie]

Well, I don't know her credentials so much, but she was holding up a skeleton with the brain and the muscles. And so I was like, she must be legit.

[Amy]

What was it?

I do that too.

[Eddie]

I was looking up how to massage the bottom of your skull to your neck to release tension.

[Bobby Bones]

And you look up some weird stuff on TikTok.

[Eddie]

No, I didn't look it up on TikTok. That's my point.

I'm like Andre the Giant, 1994. That's what I look up. Amy's like, how to Massage the brain.

That's my thing. Like, I was talking to someone else about it or looking it up elsewhere, and then, boom. TikTok fed me the perfect video. I needed to release the tension, but I forgot to check her credentials.

And then secondly, she was bringing it up as kind of like, everybody's reading this right now. Yeah. Like, recommendation. Should I read it? Should we read it? So I'm okay with it because a lot of times we bring in stuff that we really don't want to do to just present to the room to see if we can make it a bit. But I completely understand why you would say that. But in life and throughout history, ball don't lie. So Ball don't lie. Amy has to read the book.

Right.

So. But I agree with you. I think that's a great point. And that's exactly what's happening. And then if Amy reads it and loves it, maybe we spend it with just the dudes on it.

I was thinking about it when you brought up being at an oil change or something and reading a book. Like, someone should have to be sitting over there. And you know sometimes how you read out loud to yourself a little bit. It should be on one of the steamy pages.

[Amy]

Do it.

[Eddie]

A guy has to read it out loud.

See, Carol, this is what we're talking about. Amy's bringing this in, and she doesn't even want to do that, because we can make her do that.

So I possibly could have misspoke. It happens all the time. I've got eight things going on in brain and I say things. And if that's the case, that's on me. That is not what I meant. I think to extend the bit, which a very mid bit over three days is hilarious to me. That to me is funny. It's a very mid bit. We did it for three days. And I might have said that, and that's on me. So he goes and gets in line with his plate and he's waiting and a girl cuts in front of him. And he gets so mad he walks up to the girl's dad and boom. Smashes his plate over his head. Tells him, teach your daughter not to cut, dad.

The girl was like 10 or 11.

I got a lot of feelings about this. You can't really say anything to the kid, right? Like, what if someone said to your kid in that situation, hey, don't cut.

Frustrated if an aggressive. An aggressive don't cut. I think, you know a nice, hey, let's not cut. I think that's fine, right?
