Bobby Bones transmitting across America. Turn it up. This is the Bobby Bones Show. Let's go. What's happening everybody? So last night I'd ordered some toast, no bread, then turns to toast. My wife said the same thing. She was how'd you order toast? Well I ordered bread. In my mind. I'm gonna turn it into toast. Thank you. And I ordered some orange juice. I'm on an orange juice fixation right now. And so I ordered it from UberEats, which will also go to grocery stores. And they deliver. And I go out. It's on my Instagram story. I pick it up, and it was a little too heavy for just orange juice. I walk in. Is a massive thing of White Claw.
Eddie
It's a little different.
Bobby Bones
That a boy.
Matt Castle
No, not that a boy. I was like, oh, no. Like ab.
Eddie
Did you get. Did you hit orange White Claw?
Matt Castle
No, they just dropped off the wrong order. Oh.
Eddie
Because there was no bread.
Matt Castle
There was no bread and there was no orange juice. There was a variety pack of White Claw.
Bobby Bones
Nice.
Matt Castle
And it's. No, not nice. Because I don't have. I don't. I don't want the White Claw. What would you have done in that situation, Amy?
Eddie
Oh, I go to the app right away and I get my money back. You click wrong order was dropped off. And then, yay, I get a refund. And then I guess I place a new order.
Matt Castle
Oh, that's interesting. I guess I could have done that.
Eddie
What did you do?
Matt Castle
I called Uber. Cause I was like, somebody's not getting their order. And if I don't ever get my order, I get so irritated.
Eddie
True.
Matt Castle
And I don't want them to not get their White Claw because they're having a party. I guess it was a Monday night, so I guess they needed their value back.
Eddie
What if it's someone that had a drinking problem and you just saved their life?
Matt Castle
No, I didn't, though. Cause I called and I said the driver did this was just dropped off to me. There was thing of White Claw. And there was something else in the bottom of the bag. I said, but this isn't mine. I said, and I didn't get my order. So can we have the person come back and switch orders? I didn't know if that could even be done.
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Matt Castle
Or if they were like, just keep it. Because once ordered off something off Wayfair, and they were like, oh. Because something wasn't. We didn't know the right size. They were like, just keep it.
Bobby Bones
That's the best. That was the best.
Eddie
I know.
Matt Castle
That was the best. And so I thought they may say, just keep it. And I was gonna bring it in for you guys for a treat today.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's been awesome.
Matt Castle
But they were like, great. But we have to give the driver your address again. Are you okay with that? And I thought, well, didn't they have it to begin with? And they said, yes, but it only shows up on their app, and then it is gone immediately.
Eddie
Yeah, but I've wondered before, did they.
Matt Castle
Screenshot it, or do they, like, copy, paste, save to kill if their tip isn't big enough?
Eddie
Exactly, yes.
Matt Castle
And they were like, so is it cool if we give it to them? Again, I say yes. So they ended up coming back seven to 10 minutes later, switching it out. So the bag on the porch went from the White Claw to my bread that turns into toast and orange juice. And I thought, everybody won. First of all, the driver wins because he didn't screw up or she didn't. It was a guy. He didn't screw up now. And he can get their stuff to them. They're not gonna write a bad review. I got my stuff, had some toast last night. It was excellent. And everybody won. But I didn't think about doing that, just getting my money back and keeping the White Claw.
Eddie
Well, no, I mean, I wasn't worried about keeping the White Claw. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't charge. But you're right. I guess the option of getting it to the original purchaser is the ideal thing. How do you like your toast?
Matt Castle
I can't take credit for it because it's nothing that I take credit for nowadays really comes from me. It's mostly for my wife. I'll just be honest. She has this toast recipe that's not even a recipe. She's like, I didn't invent it. It's not a recipe. I'm like, but you popularized it. And what she does is it's sourdough toast. I don't even know really the difference or why sourdough is better for me, but apparently it is. So I just trust her on it. Like, what's the benefit of sourdough?
Eddie
I mean, I guess the ingredients are probably better for you. Minimal. I don't know what kind of bread. I mean, there's all kinds of bread. I know, but even in sourdough, there's different types. Types of sourdough. But I assume her homemade sourdough.
Matt Castle
Are you okay?
Bobby Bones
Your mic just fell.
Matt Castle
I just knocked the mic.
Eddie
I assume your homemade.
Matt Castle
Did your, like, hinge fall or did you knock it over?
Eddie
Oh, it fell.
Matt Castle
Oh, you knocked it over.
Eddie
I knocked it over accidentally.
Matt Castle
Sourdough benefits include improved digestion, which I have hard. So this is probably why she got it in for me. Lower risk of chronic disease, better blood sugar management. I'm sure for Me, it's improved digestion. Okay, so we sourdough. So we take the sourdough. You know, we get the fancy toaster, too. That goes like 13 seconds left. It's awesome. Didn't get that for free, by the way. Some people not promoting it. And so I cooked the sourdough. The problem is some of the sourdough in the loaf. The pieces in, like, the middle to the back, they're way too big for the toaster because they're really long. They're like long like this. But I go sourdough, boom, toast it, it comes out. Then I take butter, and I take the butter and I put it on top of it, and I'll take it and put the sourdough with the butter in the microwave for seven seconds. Oh, gosh.
Bobby Bones
What?
Eddie
That's risky. You risk making the bread chewy.
Matt Castle
I've done this enough times now that 7 seconds is my spot.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Eddie
So I'm just saying it's a risk. But if you got the seven seconds.
Matt Castle
Down, been doing it for 13 days now. Feel pretty comfortable with it. I appreciate your care, though.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
She was really worried.
Matt Castle
No, I know. She jumped in like, whoa, what are you doing? Sway.
Eddie
But it can get chewy, and you've ruined your experience.
Matt Castle
But I don't chew it. My experience is good at seven. What that does, though, it allows the butter not to go fully melty, but it makes the spread so much easier.
Eddie
You could also just leave your butter out at room temperature for the day.
Matt Castle
I don't do that. I think that's what psychotic killers do.
Eddie
Okay. Wow.
Matt Castle
Yes.
Bobby Bones
And people on the farm and people.
Matt Castle
That put their apples in the fridge, also psychotic killers. I'm gonna keep one eye open around you.
Eddie
Okay?
Matt Castle
So the butter is a perfect spready, melty. So I spread it just right. And then I take honey, and I take the honey, and I go low lines on it, and then I make it all even perfect.
Eddie
You don't put a little dash of sea salt on top?
Matt Castle
My wife does. I always forget now that you said that. She does that too.
Eddie
That's the best part.
Matt Castle
It's an excellent snack. And this is like saying, you know, you should really put wheels on automobiles. They go faster. I know most of you guys have been. Probably have done this or tried this, but for me, it's awesome. And so I needed my sourdough, and got it. I had a snack last night as I was watching the game. Really needed Notre Dame to not allow that last field goal, but they did so lost that game.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you had plus eight?
Matt Castle
I had plus eight and a half. Yeah, that's what we did. And they got their. Somebody's got their White Claw. Ray still drink White Claw? Well, now there's a lot more on the market. You got the High Nooners, which are pretty amazing. Truly crushes all the time. I would say White Claw might be number three. White Claw, though, was, like, first to market the same time as Truly's, but they were the most popular. But now Truly's got a bunch of different flavors. And High Noon now has teas as well, which my wife likes. I like.
Bobby Bones
So wasn't White Claw featured in Vacation Part one?
Matt Castle
Well, Ray was known for White Claw for a while. Yeah. And it also, in the entire United States, was low in production two, three years ago, and there was a shortage nationwide. And we're not saying it's because of the song Vacation, but. But you kind of are. By bringing that up. You sang about it in Vacation. So you think that created the shortage? I'm just saying that's how popular it was. It's definitely past that now. Did you guys see Carrie sing at the inauguration? There was no music, so she sang Acapella. Yeah, it was good.
Bobby Bones
That wasn't the plan.
Matt Castle
No, they. There was a lot of technical issues, so she just sang, and it was great.
Eddie
She mouths, I can just sing it.
Matt Castle
Yeah, she was like, I could just sing it. So she did. Did you see Billy Ray Cyrus sing?
Eddie
No.
Matt Castle
Oh, my God.
Eddie
Where?
Matt Castle
So I just wanted to celebrate one and not be like. Because Carrie did great. But then he performed at, like, the. Like, a ball, like, a party. And the guy's, like, up, and he's like, my guitar won't come on, or there's, like, a guitar issue. And he's like, I'll just. I'll just sing. It was kind of like Carrie did, where Carrie's like, I can just sing it. He goes, I'll just sing it because he's gonna do Achy Breaky Heart. I would like to say I like Billy Ray. He's been super nice. He's been nicer than nice to me over the years. And so this is not a shot at him personally. It looked like, though, maybe if I were to draw a conclusion, that Billy Ray had had a few drinks or maybe a few smokes before he went on, which he's been known to do, right? And so they take the guitar off, and he goes, okay, everybody, just follow me. And he's, like, snapping, and he goes, you can tell my ma I moved an ark and nobody's singing. And also a snapping is off because he's. I think he's. He's under the influence of something. Probably it's a party is real bad.
Eddie
I feel awkward.
Matt Castle
It was. You would have felt awkward watching it. One of those where I kind of felt bad for my guy, Billy Ray.
Bobby Bones
Dang.
Matt Castle
And that also, they're like, hey, man, will you sing Achy Breaky Heart at the Presidential?
Bobby Bones
I mean, that's his big one, though, you know? That's the one, man.
Matt Castle
Yeah. So shout out Carrie, shout out Belly Ray. Both had to deal. Oh, I just.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no.
Matt Castle
Kicked a buck off and you fell.
Bobby Bones
Your funko fell.
Matt Castle
No, no.
Eddie
Did you kick it off or just fell?
Matt Castle
No, I messed up my. My knee when I was doing the snaps. My. I'm going to knock it off. The other one off. It fell off. So there's that. So another thing I want to say is tomorrow. Not sure why they're doing it on Wednesday, but I fully encourage and support it. Eddie and I, the Raging Idiots, are going to play in Atlanta and Mobile.
Eddie
February 4th.
Matt Castle
February 4th. February 5th. Which is a Tuesday and a Wednesday night. We'll make sure it's not a late, late show. It's for St. Jude. We are busing down and we're going to stop. We're going to stop at Atlanta, then we're going to drive over to Mobile before we go to New Orleans, which is where the super bowl is. You get tickets tomorrow, 10am local time@bobbybones.com. so local is. Because Atlanta's eastern and Mobile is central. So I just say local. 10am get tickets there. We're super excited to play, but Eddie has a broken arm.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's a problem.
Matt Castle
He can't play guitar. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
No, seriously, that was one of the first things I thought of when I fell. Like, that's not good. We have a show in like, three weeks.
Matt Castle
I think less than that.
Bobby Bones
Two weeks.
Matt Castle
I mean, if today's the 21st, it's.
Bobby Bones
Like two and a half weeks.
Eddie
Two weeks exactly.
Matt Castle
Two weeks exactly.
Bobby Bones
So I'll talk to the doctor today.
Matt Castle
Maybe there's no way you're gonna be able to play.
Bobby Bones
Well, maybe I'll tell the doctor, hey, speed it up. I got a show. I got two shows.
Matt Castle
Great job. That's, like, on it. You're getting on a flight, you go to the pilot. If you get talked to them when you're walking to the plane, like, hey, can we move quick? Can you speed it up a little bit?
Bobby Bones
Like, we gotta go.
Matt Castle
Is there A speed limit. Can we get over there real quick?
Eddie
Well, maybe Matt Stow could play.
Matt Castle
What will happen is, if Eddie can't play, we'll just have to get Reed to play.
Eddie
Well, you can play guitar.
Matt Castle
I can?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah.
Matt Castle
No, no, for sure. But I'm not as good as Eddie and we'll need more than just me, so. And Reed can play. So. And Reed can sing. Man, Reed's a better singer than better.
Eddie
Watch out.
Bobby Bones
This could be Wally Pip by Reed.
Matt Castle
Good reference, Eddie.
Bobby Bones
We don't need you anymore.
Matt Castle
Good reference, Amy. So, Wally Pip, you mind baseball? Yeah, Phil. The rest. Historian. Oof.
Eddie
Well, I can't remember if Wally Pip is the one that got taken out or put in, but there was somebody that either got taken out or put in. And then I was like, whoa, this guy's the star. So. See ya.
Matt Castle
So I like your version of it. So let's just say, though, you have to commit to a story and someone comes up and says, amy, gun to your head. I need you to go out and tell the people the story of Wally Pip. Go.
Eddie
I can't tell if, like you said, when you say you just got Wally Pipped, it must be that it's negative. So Wally Pip left the game and somebody else went in.
Matt Castle
And.
Eddie
And saved the day, became the new starter.
Matt Castle
Boom.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you'd spare her.
Matt Castle
You don't get shot in the head now. May shoot you in the shoulder, but if you don't know who the player is. Because the reason the WP story is so famous is because of who the player was and what the player was able to do. But you nailed it.
Eddie
Right? But we call it Wally Pipped. So that's what I remember. But this also happened with Tom Brady and that one guy.
Matt Castle
No. Oh, we gotta get there too, because that's hilarious. But go ahead, finish Wally Pip.
Eddie
I don't know who. I don't what. Give me a decade. Was it Babe ruth?
Bobby Bones
Was it 60s?
Matt Castle
No, I would think like 20s.
Eddie
Okay, so babe. Babe.
Matt Castle
No, but close. So what happened?
Eddie
I don't know any other baseball.
Matt Castle
What happened was Wally Pipp played first base for the Yankees. He got like a bad headache and decided not to play that day. The guy that filled in for him was Lou Gehrig, who then they called the Iron Horse, who not only was a superstar, but played like 2,100 games in a row after the record was only broken by Cal Ripken way later. Consecutive games.
Eddie
Got it.
Matt Castle
So to get Wally Pipped is you get hurt and someone comes in and then is way Better than you and just keeps the job, which they often say, you won't lose your job because of injury unless you're Wally Pip or Drew Bledsoe. Oh.
Eddie
Which Drew is who ended up in the hospital. And so they put Tom Brady in, and they're like, oh, so poor Drew. When he got out, he'd been replaced.
Matt Castle
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But Drew almost died. Like, that was. That was a bad injury.
Matt Castle
Like, Drew Bledsoe almost died because that was an internal.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he was bleeding internally.
Eddie
Yeah. But still, that's good. He came back.
Matt Castle
And it's crazy what you retained by hearing us tell these stories over and over again. Because she nailed the Wally Pip when she just know Lou Gehrig. But when she had to commit, she committed good. Yeah, he had, like, internal bleeding in his chest cavity or something. And then when Tom Brady got hurt, who filled in for him? So week one, Tom Brady gets hit in the leg out the whole season. Who fills in for Tom Brady for.
Eddie
The at the Patriots?
Bobby Bones
I don't know 100%. You know this person?
Matt Castle
I don't know that. She does.
Bobby Bones
She knows the name.
Eddie
And they're a quarterback.
Matt Castle
Yep.
Eddie
Give me a hint. More than that. Not too big of a hint.
Matt Castle
Don't quite know how to give you the hint.
Eddie
Okay. Why don't it too big.
Matt Castle
That is what she said.
Eddie
Because I want to get there.
Matt Castle
That is what she said.
Bobby Bones
Oh, boy.
Matt Castle
Oh, boy.
Bobby Bones
It doesn't end.
Matt Castle
That is what she said.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Eddie
Okay.
Matt Castle
The person lives in Nashville now.
Eddie
Why don't I remember this? Because I watched that whole Tom Brady roast when he got roasted.
Matt Castle
Yeah. But I don't know.
Eddie
Like, I learned a lot at that, too.
Bobby Bones
Was he brought up in that roast?
Matt Castle
I don't know. So Tom Brady goes down week one, and a guy named Matt Castle.
Eddie
Oh, Matt Castle. You're co host on say More Close. Lots to say say less.
Matt Castle
Lots to say.
Eddie
Lots to say.
Matt Castle
So Matt Castle goes in.
Eddie
I've been listening.
Matt Castle
They win 11 games. I thought it was 13 forever, but I don't know that it's. I don't know that it's 13. So goes in, wins 11 games, and gets a big contract to go play with Kansas City Chiefs.
Bobby Bones
So but before then, Drew Bledsoe, I think, like, Tom Brady got hurt again later. And then Drew Bledsoe came back, won the playoff game.
Matt Castle
And then they got. Then they. It was like for them to make a decision once Brady was healthy again.
Bobby Bones
And they sat Bledsoe, they picked Brady. That's terrible.
Matt Castle
I know. Bill Belichick, do you know where he's coaching next year.
Eddie
Upper college.
Matt Castle
Yeah. Good job. You know why? Do you know which one?
Eddie
Nearest girlfriend.
Matt Castle
No, I knew she was gonna say.
Bobby Bones
That's why.
Matt Castle
No, not to be near his girlfriend.
Eddie
Okay. Cause I thought she was gonna go.
Matt Castle
She's gonna go wherever. No, no, no.
Bobby Bones
Girlfriend has friends.
Matt Castle
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah.
Matt Castle
Do you know where?
Eddie
I don't remember. Give me a hint.
Matt Castle
A little more blue. They're blue.
Eddie
Cincinnati.
Matt Castle
Not blue. Pick a school that you know is blue.
Eddie
South Carolina.
Matt Castle
Nope. Not red and black. Duke. Okay.
Eddie
You're getting closer, Unc.
Matt Castle
Yes.
Bobby Bones
There we go.
Eddie
Okay, see, we got there. Blue light. You. You should have said light blue.
Matt Castle
I could have said Carolina blue. They actually have their own color. Like, they have a dedicated color, which is Carolina blue that they own on the color spectrum.
Bobby Bones
Wow.
Eddie
So how do they feel about that? Him, Bill Belichick being their coach?
Matt Castle
They feel pretty great because they paid him a lot of money. I mean, he's the greatest coach of all time. Now. Andy Reid has a chance to pass him. If you're way old school. If you're like, 100, you probably say George Hallis. But still no Andy Reid.
Eddie
Coach of the.
Bobby Bones
Come on. You got it.
Matt Castle
You can do it.
Eddie
Chiefs.
Matt Castle
Yes, sir. Yes, sir. There is a new Bobby cast with Maggie Rose. She talked about getting dropped and then ghosted by her new. By her record label. So she got signed.
Eddie
Wait. Businesses ghost their people?
Matt Castle
Well, I'm gonna play you this clip. I'm glad you asked. She got signed, and they spent a bunch of money on her album, and they kind of, she says, ghosted her. Here you go.
Eddie
Seth England had a falling out with.
Matt Castle
Morgan Wallen and freaked out and dropped me and a lot of other people.
Eddie
Who had stuff going on.
Matt Castle
And I also think that they realized.
Eddie
That they didn't have the capacity within their staff to work the kind of music I was releasing.
Matt Castle
It really is a shame. I wanted to win with them, and I ended up submitting for the Grammys by myself. I've signed now with One Riot and.
Eddie
Virgin Music Group, and now they get.
Matt Castle
To use all that stuff. So she signed a deal. They dropped her, and then she got nominated for Grammy after they dropped her. After they dropped her, which is crazy. We played second one, and I guess.
Eddie
Because I had my. My fitness setting on, I wasn't getting all the texts. And then I just was like, well, I haven't heard anything. I just didn't realize that they weren't coming through.
Matt Castle
I reached out to him.
Eddie
I was like, well, you know, we.
Matt Castle
Tried and we, we can be proud of that.
Eddie
And then he was getting to Starstruck.
Matt Castle
The office at that time.
Eddie
I heard him on the phone, like, as the elevator doors were opening. And it was all, all the girls on his floor just shrieking because they.
Matt Castle
Had seen it, like, moments before we.
Eddie
Did, and it was surreal.
Matt Castle
So she got nominated for Grammy after they dropped her.
Eddie
Ain't she nominated herself? I love it. She submitted and did it all.
Matt Castle
You know what? I nominate myself for Grammy. If it's that easy, I shall nominate myself for and in the Nobel Peace Prize while I'm at it. That would be cool. So all of a sudden you get to nominate yourself for crap. Okay, let's take a break, right? Take a little break. Shut her down. Come back just a minute. All right, here we go. Playoffs. Matt Castle
I have the 10 most anticipated shows for 2025. So number one is Severance, which I've watched the first episode of Severance season two. I love Severance. I, I. You okay?
Eddie
Yeah. I don't know.
Matt Castle
Shoulder. Eddie's pain is making it.
Eddie
No, no, not at all. I don't know. I did something one direction and then all of a sudden it, like, tweaked and then now I'm like, oh, I'm scared to move my neck, but it'll be fine.
Matt Castle
You're just rubbing it so aggressively that it looks like.
Eddie
Yeah. Cuz I feel like maybe if it just releases, it will. Maybe it's just something that pinched or not pinched.
Matt Castle
You need like, Ray to walk over there and grind it out. No. Okay.
Bobby Bones
That'd be weird.
Matt Castle
Let's make it. No, not if you do it the respectable way.
Eddie
Like in front, like, everybody's present.
Matt Castle
Yeah, I'm with above clothes.
Eddie
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Let's pick Ray.
Eddie
Nobody asks Ray because he's. Is he the strongest?
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Matt Castle
I feel like of everybody here, Ray's got the strongest hands.
Bobby Bones
I mean, Lunchbox is the closest.
Matt Castle
Yeah. But he's. He claims he has some allergy thing, but it's from Coach's convention. There's no doubt. Anytime he does anything, he comes in sick like this. No, no, no, no. Let's vote then. Hey, Amy, who thinks that he has this because of being out for three nights late? Coaches.
Eddie
He's so adamant that it's.
Matt Castle
Isn't he adamant on Vegas weekends too?
Eddie
But, but did you go to the doctor to get that diagnosis?
Matt Castle
No.
Eddie
Oh, well, then how do you know?
Matt Castle
Because I'm coughing up phlegm, so.
Eddie
I know, I know. But when you go to Vegas, this does happen.
Matt Castle
Same thing. Yeah. I get allergies. You don't get allergies. Okay. Never been to Vegas, but yes.
Eddie
I don't know. I'm not a doctor.
Bobby Bones
No, Amy, it's easy.
Matt Castle
Okay? It's easy. Amy, vote. Amy abstains. Sometimes you can just abstain from voting when you're in fly.
Eddie
I'd like to abstain because he has shown up with this Flynn stuff. No coaches convention, no Vegas.
Matt Castle
But every time he does something where he's, like, staying out late multiple nights, he comes in like this. Cause he's like, yelling. Hey, Ray. Was Lunchbox yelling?
Eddie
He said he wasn't yelling.
Matt Castle
No, no. And his voice was good Sunday night. So I'm just curious. The last 36 hours, what he's been doing. That's what I'm saying. It's the exact same thing every time he goes to Vegas. So that's all. That would be my point if I were presenting the case. Eddie.
Bobby Bones
I'm not wasting my vote. I'm voting.
Matt Castle
He. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Lost his voice because he was yelling at the coaches convention.
Matt Castle
I didn't lose it.
Bobby Bones
I've been there with Lunchbox in Vegas. I've been there with Lunchbox coaches convention, and there's a lot of yelling. So that's exactly what he did.
Matt Castle
My drinking.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah. And the drinking dries your voice, your throat out. And when you're yelling on top of that is what you get.
Matt Castle
Morgan.
Amy
Oh, yeah, he lost it this weekend. Because here's the thing. If he would have came in with, like, a doctor, he'd been like, I went to the doctor. This is what I have. I'd be like, cool. Totally believe you. But he's very loud. And also, this is just an unusual weekend for you. You did a lot of things that you don't normally do on a weekend, so your body needs some rest.
Bobby Bones
It's okay, man.
Matt Castle
It's okay, man. Oh, boy.
Bobby Bones
Here we go.
Matt Castle
But it is every time. I mean, what's the doctor gonna tell me? You have a sinus infection? No, it's not about the doctor. I don't want to pivot to that conversation. No, no. Morgan said if you went to a doctor. But what's the doctor gonna tell me?
Bobby Bones
He's gonna say, did you have a coaches convention this weekend?
Matt Castle
He's like, oh, I saw on your Instagra coaching convention. And, like, you were passed out in the middle of the daytime when your wife took a picture of you because you were so exhausted. That was at night. Yeah, Whatever it was. He's like, on the couch. That was. That was Sunday night. What's up? That was Sunday night. Severance.
Bobby Bones
Are they rolling that out, like, one at a time?
Matt Castle
Oh, that's the worst. It's the worst. And we couldn't wait to watch it. We watched it. Now we're just sitting here.
Amy
I started that one.
Matt Castle
Season one. Yeah.
Amy
I'm on episode six, season one right now.
Matt Castle
Pretty cool.
Amy
Yeah, I'm involved.
Matt Castle
I loved it. Number two is the last of us, which will be season two. I loved that show on hbo. Now, that was based on the video game, but I never played the video game. Right. Yeah, I think you have. And then I like the guy in it. Pedro Pascal. Yeah, he's good.
Bobby Bones
Oh, is. Yeah. Like Star wars guy.
Matt Castle
Yeah, he's Mandalorian Corona commercials. That's what you know. Oh, I. Yeah. What do I know him for? Oh, I know him from. He played, like, a cop in something. Narcos.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yes.
Matt Castle
Good one, Bones. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Eddie
Well, Mike Dean.
Bobby Bones
No, but he said I knew him from something else or he played a cop, right? Yeah, pretty good. He remembered that.
Matt Castle
Why'd you hate on that?
Eddie
I wasn't hating.
Matt Castle
Your shoulder. Shoulder giving you hate vibes. I do that, too. And I'm, like, hurt and I'm cranky.
Eddie
No, I was giving Mike D credit because he's the one that said narcos. And then Eddie goes, good job, Bones.
Matt Castle
I think Eddie's good job to me was that it was narcos. And I remembered it.
Bobby Bones
I remembered he was on another show as a cop.
Eddie
I was.
Bobby Bones
But you know what? Good job, Mike D. Remember random TV.
Matt Castle
Shows that people were in? Number three, Squid Game, season three, which comes out in June. So. And I do have my squid game dice. What's funny? I post on my Instagram. I was like, yeah, once I was in South Korea, and I had to play this thing. What?
Eddie
Nobody believed that. Are you about to tell us. Are you about to tell us that somebody believed that you were actually in South Korea and you almost got shot?
Matt Castle
This is what I said. I said, in South Korea, I got myself in some trouble, and I had to play this game. Luckily, luckily, I won, but this is one of the games I had to play. And so I. I played. Taught him how to play this on Instagram. And I was like, it's how I bought this house. But I wouldn't do it again.
Eddie
And so, yeah, like, I laughed out loud. I watched the whole thing, and I laughed out loud, which is hard because we're all together all the time. So I'm like. Like, this is funny.
Matt Castle
And so when I did it, I thought that a lot of people would understand it was a squid game reference. And I didn't expect everybody to. But also, it's not quite. But I was like, dude, you're just playing jacks. And I'm like, it's not even about the game. It's like the J. You mean. You mean jacks?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Matt Castle
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Did you figure out how to play it?
Matt Castle
Yeah. So, yeah, I know. I do know how to play it. So one. So there's five dice you roll. The trouble is you roll them. And so then you have. You pick up one, you throw it. I don't want to hit it. I'll knock stuff off you do one and you catch one. Like Jacks one. Catch one, but you're not bouncing a ball. And then you do. Then you hold. You throw one. You have to pick up two, and then two, then three. But the hard part on this is you have to catch it on the back of your hand. Where. And again, my South Korean family, when I was staying with them, they're the ones who taught me how to play this. So this is the hardest part because it's.
Bobby Bones
Oh, gosh, that's impossible.
Matt Castle
It's impossible. So that's what it was. Everybody. I understand it's a bit like Jax, but it was a joke about squid. I'm even playing the squid game music in the video.
Bobby Bones
People like.
Matt Castle
You mean Jacks, you idiot.
Bobby Bones
Where'd you get that? For real?
Matt Castle
I ordered them off Amazon and I got that in the.
Bobby Bones
You got the pouch scan?
Matt Castle
Yeah, I got that too. And it took like, dude, three weeks to come in because they had to send him from. I'm pretty sure who did?
Eddie
South Korea.
Matt Castle
Some guy with. Some guy in a suit with a card get recruited? He slapped me.
Bobby Bones
He was in the subway.
Matt Castle
We sit there slapping each other. The night agent season two.
Eddie
Oh, I'm ready for that.
Matt Castle
I didn't watch season one.
Eddie
It's good.
Amy
You would like it with all the CIA. It's Washington, D.C. secret agent type level stuff. You'd like it.
Eddie
Yeah, like he worked the Night room and would get the nighttime phone calls.
Amy
Yeah, the second season does. Season one's already out.
Matt Castle
Yeah, season two comes out two days. Okay, we're gonna watch this then.
Bobby Bones
What's the Night Room?
Eddie
Well, I mean, he's the night. He's like in a room at night with, like a phone and if it rings.
Amy
But it's never supposed to ring.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's his job. Yeah, that's legit.
Matt Castle
To watch a phone that never rings. They used to have kind of that job. But, Ray, you were answering calls to do what? Deliver cable? Yeah, telecommunication. So it was cable, Internet and phone. And I would try and upsell them. They would say, hey, having a little bit of an issue. I'm not able to get this cable channel. And I'd say, well, let's get you with phone and Internet as well. He was the day cable agent.
Bobby Bones
Okay. A little different, but okay.
Matt Castle
Yellow Jackets season three. I loved Yellow Jacket season one. I thought Yellow Jacket season two lost its place a little bit. I will watch three to see if they catch me about. I loved one. It's about the plane crashing and the soccer team. It's based on what happened. Miracle in the Andes. But it's, like, a bit fictional, and it's in Canada, and it's with a high school soccer team from America, so.
Bobby Bones
Did you ever see the movie about the. The miracle in the Andes?
Matt Castle
Read the book.
Bobby Bones
The movie's crazy.
Matt Castle
I would imagine the book's crazier.
Bobby Bones
The whole visual of what they're doing. I'm sure you imagine when you're reading the book, but when you see.
Matt Castle
I've never heard anybody go, no, the movie's way better than the book. And you get a lot more with a lot more.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Eddie
Because the book, your mind, you can.
Matt Castle
Oh, I'm not saying you're wrong. That's usually the other side of the argument where someone's like, no, man. You spent two weeks in the book reading every detail in a movie. You got to cram into two.
Eddie
I actually like your side in the movie, because I don't.
Matt Castle
I could eat something.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Matt Castle
I could eat somebody right now. Like, I'm a little bit hungry. I could eat somebody right now.
Eddie
No, I would for sure die.
Bobby Bones
Oh, white lettuce is good. Dude, you would love those.
Matt Castle
Never seen it.
Eddie
Oh, yeah. You need to watch them.
Matt Castle
Daredevil. Oh, Born Again, season one. But technically season four, because. Oh, I watched the Netflix series.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that Ben Affleck.
Matt Castle
Oh, that's going to be coming back. It's not Ben Affleck.
Bobby Bones
Who's the Daredevil?
Matt Castle
He was the movie. Oh, Charlie Cox. I love Daredevil on Netflix. Yeah.
Amy
And it looks intense. It looks like they're keeping with the whole Netflix, like, darkness of it.
Matt Castle
Yeah, it's gritty. So we'll see Stranger Things, season five. I think I quit after two.
Bobby Bones
We're done.
Matt Castle
I don't even. I'm not even saying it's bad. I think I just quit after two.
Bobby Bones
No, I did, too.
Matt Castle
Four is one of the best seasons of any TV show I've ever seen.
Bobby Bones
Really?
Matt Castle
But I don't want to watch three. Just watch four. Yeah, I'll be Lost the Bear, season four. We never watched three. Black Mirror, season seven comes out this year. Maybe the greatest TV show my life. Maybe the greatest TV show of my life. One of them, if not the best. The great.
Bobby Bones
The.
Matt Castle
That's the show.
Bobby Bones
Dang.
Matt Castle
I know. It came out this year. It just says tbc. What's tbc? To be confirmed. Confirmed. Wow. Who uses tbc?
Bobby Bones
No one. Because they've already announced it, but they.
Matt Castle
Haven'T said the date it comes. Tbc. Like a tobacco.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Tbc, abc.
Matt Castle
Oh, that's what.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Alcohol and beverage.
Bobby Bones
And what was Elvis?
Matt Castle
What?
Bobby Bones
Elvis.
Matt Castle
Oh, Elvis was tcb. Thank you very much. Take over your business. Yes. I have to find my other dice in a second. A couple things I've written down that I need to get checked off my list. I may not even know what they mean, but bear with me. Is your arm hurting you bad? Killing you?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think the pain pills wore off.
Matt Castle
Do you have any more?
Bobby Bones
Not on me, no.
Matt Castle
Eddie would like to report a theft in the studio. No idea what that means.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah. There's somebody stealing your books. So there has been, I don't know, for like, three months, two months or whatever, there's been a pile of your books sitting right next to me. Like, it's like three fail until you don't ones the white ones, and then three of the bare bones, and slowly you're down to two fail until you don't, and one bare bones. So that means somebody's coming in here. Or somebody in here is stealing your books.
Matt Castle
I don't like thievery.
Bobby Bones
Who does?
Matt Castle
That's a good point.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, no one.
Matt Castle
But that can't be. Cuz, like, who's gonna steal a book?
Bobby Bones
Are you? Unless I was thinking maybe, like, Abby takes them from there for you to autograph and you give them to someone.
Matt Castle
Sometimes I'll sign books to send off, but mostly if it's. If they send them up here. Right, Abby? Yeah.
Eddie
I haven't taken any from that pile. I didn't even know there was a pile.
Matt Castle
Oh, maybe it's Eddie donating them to Goodwill again.
Bobby Bones
Stop. It's not funny. And it's not me. And I didn't do it. My wife did.
Matt Castle
Do people have access to the studio?
Bobby Bones
The only person's access is everyone you're looking at in this room. And we. Even though. Even though the cleaners don't have access. Yeah, because they have to get me to get them in, so only us.
Matt Castle
So it's someone on the inside.
Bobby Bones
Somebody's doing inside job.
Matt Castle
Okay, well, do you want me to.
Bobby Bones
Set the cameras up?
Matt Castle
I kind of don't care.
Bobby Bones
Hopefully they enjoy the books.
Matt Castle
Yeah, if they read the books, get something from them. Hey, that's true. Isn't that the win?
Eddie
It's a great message.
Matt Castle
Isn't that the win, Morgan? Yes. This has been a week, so you may not even remember. I thought my word of the year was content, but it's something else.
Amy
Content.
Matt Castle
Yeah.
Amy
My word of content year is content.
Matt Castle
I was like, I hope your words Content, that's your job.
Amy
If it isn't, that'd be a bad thing.
Matt Castle
Got it. Content. Got it. No.
Eddie
Yeah.
Amy
My word of the year is spicy.
Matt Castle
So it was content, but now it's spicy. Yeah.
Amy
I've decided, you know, I'm just. I'm just kind of over being the one that I was like, oh, she's so sweet and nice and I am. But, like, there's a side of me that, like, I really hold back from kind of, you know, going after people when they love to come at me. So I'm. I'm being spicy this year.
Matt Castle
I would encourage you not to take that spice to Facebook, though, because I know you have to manage that because you'll spend all day fighting with people.
Eddie
No.
Matt Castle
Yeah. No.
Amy
There'll be a. There'll be a threshold, but it's just more now. I'm not letting people get by with being jerks all the time. You know, I'm. I've always been the one who's like, okay, confrontation, don't do it. And now I'm just over it. I feel like people should be held accountable for their actions on all fronts.
Matt Castle
You know, I'm a strong eight for that reason.
Bobby Bones
Strong eight.
Amy
I'm also an eight.
Matt Castle
Are you an eight? Justice must be mother served.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
What's your enneagram?
Amy
Yeah, yeah, we're challenging.
Matt Castle
I'm like an 8, then a 1 or something.
Amy
But it also has a double meaning because I really suck at eating spicy foods, so I kind of want to try and eat spicy stuff.
Eddie
There we go. It's double meaning. Love a good.
Amy
Like I am a baby. I put sugar in salsa.
Eddie
What?
Amy
Because it's too spicy.
Bobby Bones
That's illegal.
Eddie
Wait, what?
Bobby Bones
You can't do that.
Eddie
Does that bring the spice down?
Amy
I mean, it counteracts the spices.
Matt Castle
I have not heard of it. I just wouldn't eat the salsa.
Eddie
Flavor wise, maybe, but the spice, you would think it would still sugar.
Amy
There was a waitress that told me that and I tried it and sure enough, it counteracts it. So I'm trying to get better about eating spicy stuff.
Matt Castle
I feel like I've been on a crazy chipotle kick over the past few weeks. I get it two or three times a week at this point. And I've been eating that sauce. That's a little spicy for me. With the red. The red liquidy one?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. The darker one?
Matt Castle
Yeah. And I've had it five or six times. I forced myself to eat it and I'm starting to get kind of used to it. Which is good. So maybe it's just about committing.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I mean, I hated spicy food, and I'm. I'm Hispanic. But, like, in the last 10 years, I've just grown to love it. I don't know. That's my taste buds kind of dying out the older I get, because that happens, too.
Matt Castle
Interesting.
Bobby Bones
But I love spicy food.
Matt Castle
Now I feel bad about your arm, dude. I don't even want to keep going because I know your arm's killing you.
Bobby Bones
You're good, dude.
Eddie
I mean, wow, we learned something.
Bobby Bones
What are we gonna do about it?
Eddie
You can mix. This will alter the flavor profile. I wonder if lime juice would work because it says lemon juice. Sugar or honey will help offset the spice. So you could maybe add lime because that feels. I feel like that goes with salsa, and then it won't change it too much. That's fascinating. Back to Eddie's arm. Sorry.
Bobby Bones
Nah, you're good. There's nothing to do.
Eddie
As you report, I feel better. I don't know. Needed to work itself out and.
Matt Castle
That's quick.
Bobby Bones
Ray got in here real quick.
Eddie
No, nobody helped me.
Matt Castle
Ray snuck in and went to town. Ray, give me that voicemail note. That's number seven on the list. I could not believe it. I listened to the show and I heard Lunchbox always drive. Well, yesterday I caught a wild lunchbox in the act of riding in the passenger seat, and his wife was driving. I could not believe it. Absolutely mind blown. I tried to take a picture, but I was driving and I couldn't catch it. Kind of like Bigfoot in the wild, but I thought it was funny.
Bobby Bones
Busted.
Matt Castle
Any truth to that? Convenient. Didn't get a picture. Sometimes it's hard, though. Yeah, yeah. Convenient. Can call and leave a voicemail. No picture. Man, that well.
Bobby Bones
Pardoning man.
Matt Castle
Yep.
Bobby Bones
Convenient.
Eddie
Did your wife drive recently?
Matt Castle
No.
Eddie
No. Okay, well, then there you go. Nothing wrong.
Bobby Bones
Like, seriously, though, why can't you just admit it? Like, why can't you just say like?
Matt Castle
It's also not a big deal that.
Bobby Bones
Your wife drives in person sometimes. My wife drives.
Matt Castle
I told you, on road trips she can. She does. But in the city. You gotta stop in the city. 99% me. It feels. It hurts me to hear that. In the city.
Eddie
In the city of Compton.
Matt Castle
Oh, there's another one, though. So I don't know. What. I think you guys may have been singing a different song.
Bobby Bones
I was doing that one.
Matt Castle
Oh, you were?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. City of Compton.
Matt Castle
I was doing that one, too, but there was another one. Sing it again.
Eddie
In the city. City of Compton. We keep it rocking. We keep it rocking.
Bobby Bones
There you go.
Matt Castle
Yeah. Keep going. So I know.
Eddie
Well, I welcome everybody to the Wawa.
Matt Castle
How much do you know? So it ends there. Yeah.
Eddie
Yeah.
Matt Castle
Okay. A drug counselor at a New York state rehab facility sold crack cocaine on multiple occasions to undercover agents.
Eddie
Wait, they worked where at a rehab facility? Oh, that's terrible. So they were. They confiscating it from people checking themselves.
Matt Castle
In, and then they were undercover agents that. That acted like they were going to rehab, so it wasn't even confiscating it.
Eddie
Oh. Say it again.
Matt Castle
A drug counselor at a New York state rehab sold crack cocaine on multiple occasions to undercover agents, according to police, who arrested the alleged dealer on the felony narcotics charges. According to tips from the publics from the public. Investigators began probing Alvin Lewis, 54, and identified him as a narcotic and dangerous drug dealer operating in Dutchess county, about 80 miles north of New York City. On multiple occasions, Lewis sold crack to agents with the local prosecutor's drug task force.
Eddie
Oh.
Matt Castle
While conducting surveillance of Lewis, police determined that he worked overnight hours as a counselor at Arms Acres, an inpatient rehab clinic. He is being held without bail and online search. Da, da, da. Yeah, but. Yeah.
Eddie
So do you think he was a drug dealer first? That was, like, brilliant. I'm gonna go get a job as a counselor. I don't. Because then I've got the vulnerable people, and I have access, and I can make a lot of money or he got desperate. Somehow when he was in the situation, he realized.
Matt Castle
I don't think it's the first one, because if you're a drug dealer and you're doing pretty good, you don't need to go get an education to be a counselor. You're just making good money. I don't even know that he was desperate. I think you just see an easy way to make money, and you're, like, overnight. And a lot of people here, these people want drugs. I know somebody. So you just sell them.
Eddie
I feel like you have to be pretty desperate to sell drugs to people that are trying to get off drugs.
Matt Castle
I feel like you can be opportunistic more than desperate. You can be, but I feel like that's just somebody who's kind of shady anyway and, like, is doing it, and it's like, dang, I could sell these people drugs.
Eddie
I don't know. I hope that, like, he's trying to pay for cancer treatments or something.
Matt Castle
Are you doing Breaking Bad? Are you doing Breaking Bad and we don't know it?
Eddie
That just seems like, so Low. Like, people are coming in there already addicted and vulnerable, and you're supposed to be their counselor, and they're coming to you, and you're like, hey, that's the opportunity.
Bobby Bones
That's easy money.
Matt Castle
That is the opportunity.
Eddie
Yeah, because. What was it called? Arms Acres or.
Matt Castle
I'm not sure. I tossed the page. Oh.
Eddie
I wanted to know, like, how much this treatment place was. Like, was it.
Matt Castle
Oh, that's a good point. Was it a real expensive one? I guess it probably wouldn't matter.
Eddie
I was trying to Google, but.
Matt Castle
Final thing. Tuesday reviews day. Let's go around and review some stuff. It's today's Tuesday, but it's like a Monday to us. We did a new show yesterday, but we weren't here for it. We recorded it ahead of time. So we were just getting stuff done from the weekend as well today. But Tuesday reviews day. I will go. I watched a show called the Night Manager, which is different than the other one, the Night Agent. The Night Manager has Taylor Swift's old boyfriend who used to also be a Marvel character on Disney. Tom Holland. Is that his name? No, no. Tom Hiddleston. Tom Hiddleston.
Amy
Oh, Loki.
Matt Castle
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Tom Hiddleston's in it. And Hugh Laurie, who was the doctor in House?
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah, we just talked about him recently.
Matt Castle
We did. Who's we? You and your family?
Bobby Bones
No, we played a game where House was one of the. What do they have in common? And he was one of the guys that plays the doctor.
Matt Castle
So we watched it, and it's about a guy who is trying to get in so they can take down somebody bad. It's called the Night manager. It's from 2016. It is a limited series, so there is no season two. And I would give it four and a half pyramids out of five. It was awesome.
Bobby Bones
Wow.
Eddie
Night Manager.
Matt Castle
Yeah. Not the Night Agent, which I think we're going to watch now, but Night Manager. I give it four and a half.
Eddie
Amy, I watched the biggest heist ever. It's a documentary on Netflix about the biggest heist.
Matt Castle
Eddie, his microphone. And again, I'm dealing with one arm here.
Bobby Bones
Sorry.
Matt Castle
No, no, all good. I have to remember, too, because I know my knees knock these things off a minute ago. Or knock the book off. I got to stop hitting stuff, too. We all do, right? We all do a better job. But I do it, too. So I'm trying to, like, if I hit the table, I, like, punish myself. When I go home, I take a belt and go whack over my back. Yes. Because I'm trying to stop, too. So, Amy, I'm sorry to interrupt. Go ahead.
Bobby Bones
Sorry, Amy.
Eddie
No, it's a documentary that came out last year about this couple that stole over 4 billion in Bitcoin. And their story is pretty wild. I was very interested. But then at the end of it, I'm like, this. I would not recommend this. Like, you could just save yourself a bunch of time and read about them real quick. But it's pretty crazy what they were able to pull off and some of their past and how everything was like, weaving together. And they said, like, the cyber people that are resolving it, they're like. It's like you kind of have to look at it as, like a sweater and you're like weaving everything, but everything would go back to them. But it's weird because it's all happening online because bitcoin is digital currency.
Matt Castle
That is correct.
Eddie
Right?
Matt Castle
I thought you were going to say something. Wow, Like a. Got it.
Eddie
I know. I hate to blow your mind with that information, but it's digital currency, but they're having to wash this money. So you think of laundering actual cash and, like having a business here they.
Matt Castle
Were cashing out the.
Eddie
Like a car wash and you launder the money. But this, they were having to launder money they didn't even really have. It's like in cyberspace. So it was really weird. And she was an online rapper who's not.
Bobby Bones
That's cool.
Eddie
But she wasn't gay. It was like a joke. Does anybody know the couple I'm talking about?
Bobby Bones
No. No.
Eddie
Y'all have never heard of these people. It's the biggest heist ever.
Matt Castle
That's the name of the movie.
Eddie
So I give it two bitcoins out of five, though.
Matt Castle
So that's it.
Eddie
Which. You know how you have your money comparison thing, Bobby, with like, what is a billion dollars compared to a million? So a guy, I rewound it so I could quote him, but he was talking about if you had a $4 billion fund, if you spent $100,000 a day, it would take you 110 years to run out of money. That's how much bitcoin they had.
Matt Castle
That's a lot of bitcoin. Digital currency. That's what it is. Yes. Morgan, did you watch anything?
Amy
Yeah, I have three things I'll do quickly. So six, triple eight. It's a remake of a true story about the first African American, like, all female squadron that was sent over to Europe in World War I.
Matt Castle
They fly, drive women planes. What was their.
Amy
So, no, they actually went over and they were the postal service, because none of these letters in the mail was ever getting to the soldiers. The whole story, I guess I had never heard of it. So it was just really cool to see something I'd never even heard about.
Matt Castle
What do you give it?
Amy
I give that one four out of five letters. I watch Back in Action, which is the new movie on Netflix with Cameron Diaz.
Matt Castle
I was thinking about watching that. Jamie Foxx, CIA.
Amy
It's great for that. It's an easy watch. It's not like you're gonna be obsessed with it. It's like comedy action.
Matt Castle
Tell me if the plot's right on this one. So they did something and then they don't wanna be found, so they go away to, like, witness relocation. And then a YouTube video gets posted and then all of a sudden they're being searched for again. Yes. Okay.
Amy
Exact premise. And there's kids involved, so it's a family movie that you could watch. And again, it's not family.
Bobby Bones
Well, you don't like it.
Matt Castle
Usually that means there's no bad words and no. Like shooting.
Amy
Oh, there's shooting.
Matt Castle
Okay.
Amy
There's action in it. But they have kids. It's part of the thing. And this. That one was good. But it's not gonna be something that you're, like, obsessed with. It'll be good. Easy watch if you want to throw something on.
Matt Castle
Okay. The rate.
Amy
So I give that one 3.5 out of 5.
Matt Castle
Bridges, did you watch that one?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Matt Castle
Thoughts?
Bobby Bones
I don't think you like it.
Matt Castle
Okay. Pass. Right. Next.
Bobby Bones
He called it.
Amy
And then Silo, season two, we finished.
Matt Castle
We finished it as well.
Amy
Okay. I was not liking the season at all. And then the last.
Matt Castle
I should have done it too. I'm sorry to interrupt. Go ahead.
Amy
The last few episodes, I finally was like, yes, okay.
Eddie
Finally.
Amy
This is what I love this show for. So I loved it so much, but because it took a long time, I'm giving it 3.5 out of 5 suits.
Matt Castle
I will ditto everything you just said. Season 2, for the most part. That was a terrible storyline with her.
Amy
It just took a long time.
Matt Castle
It was terrible. That part was a terrible storyline, but it ended freaking awesome.
Amy
And now I'm, like, ready for season three.
Matt Castle
And I've been, like, watching stuff and their books too, how that show ended. And we're not going to spoil anything. There is an ending that's kind of a twist, but also not really, but just something you don't expect at all that makes you go, well, I have to wait two more years for the next season, it's. They did a fantastic job with that. I know. I need.
Amy
I need to run a theory by you that's floating around there based on that last episode, but, yeah, it was. The last few episodes are really good. You just have to get there.
Matt Castle
Yeah, it was a rough season to get through until the end. You're right, Mikey. I watched one of them days. It's a comedy in theaters right now. It's kind of like Friday, except it's two females instead. Keke Palmer and Sza. I thought it was actually really funny. Theater. Theater, yeah. It's a theater movie. All I hear is, I hear the Charlie Brown. I saw your fan when it was like, go to the theater. Wah, wah, wah. Go ahead. I'm sorry. But there's something about going to see a comedy in theaters where you can see other people reacting to it. It makes it funnier. Like, I feel if I watch this movie at home, I'd be like, oh, that was pretty good. But seeing other people, them finding things fun, you're like, oh, this is a good time. And it's kind of a throwback to those 90s comedies that did that. And what would you give it? I give it four out of five job interviews. Wow, this is solid from you. Anything else? It's about, I started Slow Horses because you said it was good. Dude, you're gonna love it. Get. Get through the first. It's awesome. Devour season one on season two now. Oh, so you did, like. Yeah. I wish I could rewatch that not having seen it. Do you think Apple has the best original shows now? I think they have amazing shows and they do not give two ships about promoting them, because unless somebody comes to you and goes, it's all, yes. They're the only ones getting shows and movies with, like, big a list stars, and then they don't say anything about it. You know what else we watched during the break that never talked about was the madness on Netflix where the guy sees somebody get murdered and he's a news anchor.
Bobby Bones
That's on Apple.
Matt Castle
It's on Netflix. Oh, yeah.
Eddie
Oh, I started this, but I forgot I did.
Matt Castle
I would give it four out of five cable news networks.
Eddie
Wait, did you watch the whole thing?
Matt Castle
The whole thing.
Eddie
Okay, so I should go back and finish it.
Matt Castle
We started it. We were like, huh? And then about halfway through episode two, we're like, oh, we're totally in.
Eddie
Okay. I think I really liked this, but for some reason, I got sidetracked, and I would have never gone back to it.
Matt Castle
It ends up being great.
Eddie
Okay.
Amy
Is it English?
Matt Castle
Yeah, it is, yeah.
Amy
Okay.
Matt Castle
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Eddie
Like. Like American.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I watched Christopher Reeves Story. There's a documentary on Christopher Reeves who played Superman back in the 80s. And kind of just the story of how he even got that gig, because really, that's what he was known for. He did a few other movies, but how he became Superman is pretty interesting. And how all his professors were like, don't do this. This is like, you're gonna sell yourself out. Like, this is gonna be a thing that's gonna stick around. Like, it's not a role for you. You're a serious actor. And then, of course, he, like, fell off a horse and paralyzed. He got paralyzed. And he's a quadriplegic. And that story is just crazy how they said he would never, ever be able to move a limb again. And then with, like, time and exercise and just kind of him working at it, he finally got to move, like, his arms. He was actually moving his arms and stuff, which I didn't know any of this stuff because actually he. After he got paralyzed, you're like, oh, well, that's just sad.
Matt Castle
It's like, Superman not gonna be Superman anymore.
Bobby Bones
Then that's it.
Matt Castle
And we'd have social media. There was one way to keep up with people. Unless they did, like, a 2020 update on them and how expensive it was.
Bobby Bones
To just upkeep his medical bills.
Matt Castle
Would you give it.
Bobby Bones
I'll give it four out of five capes. Just because I learned so much about Christopher Reeves and knew Nothing.
Matt Castle
It got 98% of rotten tomatoes.
Bobby Bones
It's really good.
Matt Castle
Wow.
Bobby Bones
You might cry, but it's really good.
Matt Castle
Lunchbox. Nope. Nothing. Just a partying. Yeah. Okay.
Bobby Bones
Coaches convention.
Matt Castle

Podcast Summary: The Bobby Bones Show
Episode: TUES PT 3: Why Bobby Bought Alcohol + Why Eddie Might Be Replaced + A Theft In The Studio Gets Reported
Release Date: January 21, 2025
Host/Author: Premiere Networks
In this engaging episode of The Bobby Bones Show, host Bobby Bones is joined by co-hosts Matt Castle, a former NFL quarterback, and Eddie, as they delve into a mix of humorous mishaps, light-hearted debates, and intriguing studio happenings. The trio navigates through personal anecdotes, pop culture references, and spontaneous banter, ensuring listeners are entertained from start to finish.
The episode kicks off with Matt sharing a relatable delivery mishap. At [02:13], Matt recounts ordering toast and orange juice via UberEats but instead receives a variety pack of White Claw:
Matt Castle [02:14]: "I ordered bread. In my mind. I'm gonna turn it into toast. Thank you."
Bobby’s confusion and frustration lead to a humorous exchange about handling incorrect orders. Matt explains his proactive approach:
Matt Castle [04:00]: "I called Uber. Cause I was like, somebody's not getting their order. And if I don't ever get my order, I get so irritated."
Eddie suggests the standard procedure for such errors:
Eddie [03:17]: "Oh, I go to the app right away and I get my money back. You click wrong order was dropped off. And then, yay, I get a refund."
Ultimately, the delivery service rectifies the mistake promptly, replacing the White Claw with Matt’s intended order of toast and orange juice. Matt reflects on the resolution positively:
Matt Castle [04:17]: "Everybody won. First of all, the driver wins because he didn't screw up or she didn't. I got my stuff, had some toast last night. It was excellent. And everybody won."
This segment not only highlights the occasional quirks of delivery services but also underscores the importance of communication and patience in resolving such issues.
Transitioning from the delivery debacle, the conversation shifts to a historical sports anecdote involving Wally Pipp, drawing parallels to Eddie’s current situation. At [14:01], Matt introduces the story:
Matt Castle [14:01]: "What happened was Wally Pipp played first base for the Yankees. He got a bad headache and decided not to play that day. The guy that filled in for him was Lou Gehrig..."
Eddie adds a modern twist by comparing it to NFL quarterback transitions:
Eddie [15:14]: "Which Drew is who ended up in the hospital. And so they put Tom Brady in, and they're like, oh, so poor Drew. When he got out, he'd been replaced."
The discussion evolves into a humorous speculation about Eddie potentially being replaced due to his recent arm injury. At [12:12], Matt shares:
Matt Castle [12:12]: "Eddie has a broken arm. He can't play guitar. That's a problem."
Bobby muses on the absurdity of the situation:
Bobby Bones [12:24]: "Two weeks exactly."
The trio jokes about finding a replacement, with playful references to their own names and roles:
Matt Castle [13:07]: "He can play guitar."
Eddie [13:08]: "Watch out."
Bobby Bones [13:14]: "We don't need you anymore."
This segment combines sports history with current events in the studio, using humor to address Eddie’s temporary setback while fostering camaraderie among the hosts.
Later in the episode, the hosts bring up a concerning issue regarding missing books in the studio. At [35:01], Matt introduces the topic:
Matt Castle [35:01]: "Eddie would like to report a theft in the studio. No idea what that means."
Bobby elaborates on the situation:
Bobby Bones [35:33]: "There's been a pile of your books sitting right next to me. Slowly you're down to two fail until you don't, and one bare bones."
The discussion unfolds with Matt expressing disapproval of thievery:
Matt Castle [35:35]: "I don't like thievery."
Eddie and Bobby speculate on possible culprits, humorously suggesting internal access as the likely source:
Matt Castle [36:15]: "So it's someone on the inside."
Bobby Bones [36:21]: "Somebody's doing an inside job."
Bobby humorously considers innocent possibilities:
Bobby Bones [35:47]: "Unless I was thinking maybe, like, Abby takes them from there for you to autograph and you give them to someone."
The segment balances the seriousness of the theft with light-hearted speculation, emphasizing the close-knit environment of the studio while acknowledging the breach of trust.
