This is the Bobby Bones Show.
Bobby Bones
Let's go. What's up, everybody? Welcome to Wednesday's show. More in the studio.
Eddie
Morning.
Bobby Bones
Go on the Bobby Bones show now. Cody Johnson, you worked in prison. What happens in prison? Like, as a prison guard, Are you scared all the time. Do you make buddies with these guys?
Cody Johnson
No and no. It's just a different culture. It's a different lifestyle. I mean, you know, where you're gonna.
Bobby Bones
Get shanked at some point by.
Cody Johnson
Yeah, I mean, yeah, but I mean, I kind of grew up around that environment, too, like, and my dad, you know, working there, my uncle worked there. I think that's a lot of, like, where my security mind is. Stays today because of that experience, you know? And it's not like you go to work every day and you're knocking heads, and it's a constant riot and fight. Like, they kind of.
Bobby Bones
That's what I feel like, produce on tv, like, go in and you're like, here we go.
Bowen Yang
It's Tuesday.
Cody Johnson
No, it can be very monotonous because these guys are just trying to get through their day, too, you know, like, they don't want to have that because then it's going to mess up everybody's day, you know? So, I mean, yes, I've been through some. Some things that, you know, I've seen a lot of things, but it wasn't just like, hell week every week. But it did teach me a lot about life, about discernment, about walking into a room and reading a room really quickly and picking out potential threats in a room. And I. I still have that. I'm put on a Persona on stage of being a very nice guy. But, you know, at my core, I know that I have that, too. I'm not the guy you can back into the corner.
Bobby Bones
You're probably pretty intimidated when I'm around then, huh?
Cody Johnson
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I didn't expect you to laugh that hard.
Cody Johnson
Yeah. The aspiring musician who finally gets an interview with Bobby Bones. That's not intimidating at all, huh?
Bobby Bones
I have a lot of family to Been in prison. Like, pretty much all my family's been in prison. And what would be crazy to me is when I, like, in prison. Oh, yeah?
Cody Johnson
Yeah, Me too.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah. Like, not work. Like, I always made the joke.
Cody Johnson
Half of them work there, the other half are living there. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And so. And there's one doing life right now. There's another that just got out pretty recently. A lot of family members have been in and out quickly. But it would always be crazy to me how there would just be a phone from a. Like a call from a phone from somebody in jail, and how they would just have freaking cell phones.
Cody Johnson
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
In prison.
Cody Johnson
Dirty bosses, man.
Bobby Bones
So it's either they snuck it into their butt or somebody did.
Cody Johnson
Somebody did.
Bobby Bones
Or like a guard or something.
Cody Johnson
Your mouth to it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or a guard or somebody took it in.
Cody Johnson
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Like. And it's just. You just know somebody's own culture, like.
Cody Johnson
Inside the prison does not beat to the drum of outside world. Like, they're not watching the news and caring about what protests or what riots or what, you know, Covid or anything like that. It's just.
Bobby Bones
It's.
Cody Johnson
They're. They're in their own subculture. A lot of it's pretty amazing, actually, to see the ingenuity of some of these people. And the talent.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Cody Johnson
The sheer raw talent that is locked up. And you're like, man, what a waste.
Bobby Bones
You know, like a guy makes a full DVD player out of piece of baloney and a hanger, and you're like, dude, if you use this out here.
Cody Johnson
Yeah, you'd be a millionaire.
Bobby Bones
Be Elon Musk. Yeah. I remember when Luke Combs announced that tour. How did it feel? Because, again, you're a guy who can do, like you said, 68,000. You're playing all these big shows, and then it's like, hey, come out and be main support. Was that. I don't know. Was that. You had to swallow a little bit to do that?
Cody Johnson
No, no, no, man. I have. I have nothing but respect for Luke, and I've been opening for Luke Combs since he was playing tennis courts. And, like.
Bobby Bones
What do you mean by that?
Cody Johnson
Like, South Carolina, he played a tennis court, and it was like 6,000 people. Like, it wasn't a huge show. And of course, he was blowing up at the time. But I think real respects real. And whenever I saw Luke for the first time, I went, that's. That's real. The way he handles his camp, the way he handles his finances, records. His records, the content that he's putting out had a lot of respect. And so you just tip your hat and say, I can get with that, buddy. And he's opened a lot of doors for me. Like I said, we went from opening for him from tennis courts and pavilions to stadiums, you know, and I'm not a coattail rider, but whenever a good friend of that many years says, hey, do you want to go be direct support for me overseas? You say, hell, yes, I do. And what did I do? The very next year? I went back and. Or two years later, I went back and headlined my own tour and sold everything out but Auckland, New Zealand. But Luke didn't sell out Auckland, New Zealand either.
Bobby Bones
So I feel like whenever you're playing the shows with Luke overseas and did you. You did some football stadiums here, too, right, with him? Yeah. I feel like you also gave him credibility. I can see that, like, because I love Luke and have known Luke for a long time, but whenever he's like, hey, Cody Johnson's coming out with me, I went, oh, Cody's playing with Luke. If Cody thinks Luke is legit, then I for sure know I already knew, but I for sure knew Luke was legit.
Cody Johnson
But, like, there's two perspectives. So, like. And I've told Luke this. I've told this to a lot of people. My job is the Open is to not be seen or heard. Get on the stage, do your job to the tee, and get out of the way.
Bobby Bones
Because you weren't the opener. I think it's unfair to say opener, but on that.
Cody Johnson
On that same coin, if you flip it over, my job as the opener is to try to kick your ass.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but, yeah, you weren't the opener. You were main support right before him.
Cody Johnson
But what you said about Luke matches what I just said, for sure.
Bobby Bones
He knows.
Cody Johnson
Yeah, I'm coming out.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Cody Johnson
To try to mop the floor. And all it did was elevate their game. And there's. He's like, dude, I love having you open because it just pushes us to a different level of knowing, hey, if we're gonna follow that, we better gear it up. And I'm like, that's a. That's a high compliment from. From him. It took me a lot of years to be the guy. Now that whenever I walk off my bus and I walk up to the stage, I'm very. It's like a. It's like Conor McGregor walking to the ring. Give them to me. Y' all better watch out, because here I come. That guy. I'm 38 years old. Have been doing this a long time, but I don't think you have that when you start. I think if you have that when you start, you're probably destined to fail in a lot of ways, you know, because this. This industry can eat you alive if you let it.
Bobby Bones
By the way, that interview is an hour long. You can watch Netflix or you can listen to the podcast. Just go search for the Bobby cast on Netflix or wherever you get your podcasts. Hello, Bobby Bones. My girlfriend tells me she loves me, but anytime I bring up the idea of marriage, she shuts it down or changes the subject. On top of that, I think she flirts with other guys. She says she doesn't and that it's just part of her personality. She says I'm overthinking things. Are we fundamentally mismatched? Should I walk away? Signed boyfriend wanting more? It's weird to jump and tell somebody you love them and then continuously not say it back. If they. You say it. This is kind of how it works. You say it and they're like, oh, they basically have 30 days to commit to that, or it's time to move on. 30 days is a lot of time. Because if you're at that point, you're at that point where you're kind of meeting at a junction of, yeah, I think I want to say it. I'm going to say it. Maybe when you say it the first time, it startles them. They're like, whoa, I'm not ready to say that yet. But if they don't come to that conclusion within 30 days of when you came to that conclusion, you did not meet at the appropriate junction. I don't think it's going to work. Now, you also could just be a very jealous person about the flirting. Some people's personalities are big. Also, you might just be broken. See, you could be jumping quickly to I love you. We don't know how quickly you said it.
Amy
Well, maybe there's something just within her where I love you or the talk of marriage, it's too early. Scares her.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, or it's just too early. How often does this happen with a dude? Where a dude's the one going, I love you and let's get married almost never. So I'm playing the odds here. And she's going, bro, you need to pump the brakes a little bit.
Amy
Give her some space.
Bobby Bones
Give her, wow, you say I love you, she doesn't say it back. And then you're talking about marriage after she doesn't even say I love you. And then you're getting jealous because she's talking to dudes. Reading between the lines of this email, I think he's the crazy one. So my advice to you is take some deep breaths. And then if you want this to work, you've got to let it organically.
Amy
Unfold itself for 30 days.
Bobby Bones
Well, you know, you have 30 after you say it. Just in general relationships, if you say it girl to guy, got a girl and they don't say it back, that's okay. There could be many reasons they don't say it back. But you have 30 days to say it back or it's. It's over. It's not gonna work.
Eddie
Do you keep trying? Do you keep saying, like, I love you and then waiting?
Amy
Do you look at the calendar and wait?
Bobby Bones
What that does is it pressures them. And when some people, when they get pressured, they back off. I think this is a you problem, Guy.
Amy
Also, we don't know that you should, like, totally jump ship. We haven't. There's so many other details in your relationship we don't know.
Bobby Bones
Why are you protecting this guy? He's overzealous. I can Tell you as a dude.
Amy
But his final question was, do I need to jump ship?
Bobby Bones
Sort of for her sake? I don't know. Maybe. Does she know she's in a relationship with you?
Amy
Yeah. Are y' all really together?
Bobby Bones
Yes. I'm gonna say you just need to take a beat and evaluate and slow down a little bit. That would be my advice right now. All right. There you go. Thank you. How good are you at naming inventors? If I said Thomas Edison, you would say light bull. Yeah, you get that one. Okay. You guys want to play?
Bowen Yang
Yeah.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
There is a big prize in the studio today because we are days away from Valentine's Day. Up for grabs, a 250 gift card to Macy's.
Bowen Yang
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby Bones
For one of you, I need this. Yeah, you can give it to a listener if you wanted to, but you can keep it. It's for you.
Eddie
Oh, don't say that.
Bowen Yang
Oh, yeah, don't say that because they're gonna have listeners calling it.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
How would we get it to Macy's? No, a listener would call and be like, can I get you a card, Macy?
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Macy's makes it easy to find something special for every relationship and every budget. You could get this in time to buy somebody in your life sometime. Valentine's Day, we think about that. Awesome. Days away. All right, here we go. Write your answer down. I will give you the inventor. You tell me what they invented.
Bowen Yang
Okay.
Bobby Bones
The Wright Brothers.
Bowen Yang
Got it.
Eddie

Bobby Bones
It's the automobile, I guess.
Eddie
Yeah, that counts.
Bobby Bones
Ford did the assembly line.
Eddie
Oh, he did?
Bowen Yang
I thought Ford.
Bobby Bones
Carl Benz invented the automobile. For a mix of practical frustration and engineering obsession. Wow. He wanted a better engine. He was obsessed with making a small, reliable internal combustion engine.
Amy
Darn. I almost wrote engine.
Bobby Bones
No, you didn't.
Bowen Yang
Yes, I did.
Amy
I swear. Why would I say that?
Bobby Bones
He invented the complet with the engine, the chassis, the fuel delivery and the ignition.
Eddie
I almost wrote chassis.
Bowen Yang
No, you did not almost write chassis.
Amy
I was being serious.
Bowen Yang
Hey, guys. Hey, guys. I need this. Valentine's Day. Here we go.
Bobby Bones
Henry Ford. Okay, okay. Hold on.
Amy
Hopefully you didn't just mess with our minds.
Eddie
Yeah. Why would you do that?
Bowen Yang
I'm very confused.
Bobby Bones
Oh, boy.
Eddie
I'm in.
Bowen Yang
Oh, man. Daddy needs this for Valentine's Day.
Bobby Bones
Come on.
Amy
Don't call yourself Daddy.
Bowen Yang
I'm in for the win. I'm very confused, though.
Bobby Bones
Amy. Have it.
Amy
I do.
Bobby Bones
What do you have?
Amy
Automobile assembly line.
Bobby Bones
What do you have written down?
Amy
Automobile assembly line.
Bowen Yang
Lunchbox. The assembly line. Just like you just told us.
Eddie
Eddie. You said assembly line, so I wrote it down.
Bobby Bones
That's correct. Yeah.
Bowen Yang
I thought you were messing with us. Oh, my gosh.
Eddie
That would have been so mean.
Bowen Yang
I was so nervous. I was like, is he really doing this to us?
Bobby Bones
Johannes Gutenberg.
Bowen Yang
Oh, man. I've heard of this dude. Come on. Hold on. Gutenberg. Johannes Gutenberg. I am in for the win. I can see Macy's.
Eddie
Yeah. I don't know. I'm in.
Bowen Yang

Bowen Yang
Oh, my gosh. Ah, man. Come on, guys. I got nothing for Valentine's Day. I need this. I need this. Come on. My wife.
Bobby Bones
Watch rocks.
Bowen Yang
Batteries. He admitted batteries. Diesel.
Bobby Bones
No. Oh, Amy.
Amy
Diesel.
Eddie
Diesel. Gas. Eddie. Man, I thought it would sell like batteries, so I wrote down batteries.
Bowen Yang
Good work.
Bobby Bones
The answer is the diesel engine. Amy, you're the winner.
Bowen Yang
Hold on.
Bobby Bones
There's no. Hold on. She said diesel.
Bowen Yang
She said gas.
Amy
No, I said diesel.
Bobby Bones
Somebody else yelled.
Eddie
I said gas. Diesel.
Bobby Bones
Gas. Amy.

This girl was driving to California, and a pole, I think, comes off another vehicle, goes through her car and impales her in the stomach. During. Yeah, during traffic. So her younger brother was in the back seat. She managed to steer off Road call 91 1-AS-POLE dragged from her vehicle. But, yeah, I got her in the stomach. She underwent three surgeries, lost parts of her colon, liver, and Kidney. Spent nearly two months in the hospital recovering.
Amy
Oh, my gosh.
Bobby Bones
WDBJ7. She was just driving in traffic, and a pole right in her stomach went through the windshield.
Amy
That sounds like an episode of the Pit. No, I didn't watch the Pit, Anatomy, anything.
Bowen Yang
Yeah, but the Pit blew up.
Amy
Like, it's.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
Huge people.
Bobby Bones
It's so medical. Like Cuddy and Surgery. I don't like those shows.
Amy
Yeah, it's. It's the Pit. It's the inside of the er.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
I mean, so that's what it is.
Bobby Bones
Firefighters cut the pole before they rushed to the hospital. They gave her a 1% chance of survival, and she lived. Wow. But through traffic, right to the window, got her right in the stomach.
Bowen Yang
And what's crazy is they said the pole was so long. While she was sitting there waiting for medical help, people were still rolling over.
Bobby Bones
The pole, driving over the pole because.
Bowen Yang
It was so long. That's crazy.
Eddie
Crazy.
Bobby Bones
Okay, Amy, I want you to. You had something come at you in your car.
Amy
I did.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so walk us through it.
Amy
Okay. I'm driving down the highway, I'm going about 65 miles an hour, when something out of the back of a truck flies towards my car. I can't even really say for sure exactly what it was.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Amy
But it flies at me straight up my windshield. So now I know how I will react in this situation. The options are, A, I screamed and swerved out of the way. B, I stayed calm, gripped the wheel, kept my eyes forward. And handled it like a responsible driver. C, I turned my head, closed my eyes, and hope for the best.
Bobby Bones
Probably. C. Because sometimes when I see a light go to yellow, I. I close my eyes real quick so I don't see it hit red because then I didn't run the red light.
Eddie
You're not breaking the law.
Bobby Bones
If I'm like, oh, God. Close eyes and just stay straight, I would imagine I'm picking C for you. Crisis.
Amy
I'm a C. Yes.
Bobby Bones
I don't think you swerve. That would be the most dangerous thing you could possibly do. I think C is middle of the road. Okay, you guys.
Eddie
Yeah, I'm gonna go see. I'm shocked that she actually saw that something hit her car. Yeah. I figured she was doing something else while she was driving and didn't.
Bobby Bones
She's reading a book and eating cereal.
Amy
I tell you, if I hadn't seen it, I would have heard it because it. Like I was on the phone and the person thought, whatever that was. Lunchbox. You can be on the phone while driving and not be holding your phone.
Bowen Yang
I'm going with a Bluetooth. I'm going with a.
Bobby Bones
You think she swerved?
Bowen Yang
She screamed and swerved.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Amy
But the person was like. That was so loud. I'm surprised your windshield is not cracked.
Bobby Bones
Which did you do?
Amy
See, I turned my head, closed my eyes, and I guess I was hoping for the best, But I don't like that. That's who I was in.
Bobby Bones
This is a reaction. It's all reaction. I know, but doesn't make you worse of a person. I don't know.
Amy
I guess thought I would take a little more ownership of the situation. It all happened so fast, but now I know instinctively I'm that person.
Bobby Bones
But it didn't crack your windshield or anything. No. Imagine if it was a pole like that right through the windshield. Yeah. Imagine looking down, too, and there's just a pole in your stomach. Not in nowhere, because you're not even driving somewhere where that could possibly happen. You're just on the road.
Amy
One time my sister was on i35 and a shovel flew out of the back of a truck in front of her and it did crack her windshield, but it didn't go through, which is crazy because, I mean, that's similar. Like this fear of this sharp object coming at you, then to have the.
Bobby Bones
Wherewithal not to swerve or slam on the brakes.
Amy
I think it just all happens so fast.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Hopefully not you. Your sister.
Amy
Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Bones. A couple with a 35 year age gap welcomed their first child on the husband's 70th birthday. Oh, wow.
Eddie
Congratulations.
Bowen Yang
I love, love, wow.
Bobby Bones
Love's awesome. Married Alaska couple with a 35 year age gap welcome their son Roy. His name's Roy. Okay. That's for sure a 70 year old that had that baby. If they're naming that baby Roy, Roy Briley III. It was the same day as his dad Roy's 70th birthday.
Eddie
Exactly.
Bobby Bones
Wow. Glenda, 35, first met Roy in 2020 when she sought advice about starting her own insurance business. Their connection quickly turned romantic. They moved in together, got engaged, and married in a small ceremony. 35 years. If it works, good for them. She's also not 18 or 19 or 20, but if she was, I would think she was just doing it for money. I need to know what old Roy's got. His make account.
Bowen Yang
Yeah, like what does Roy have?
Bobby Bones
Roy looked pretty young for a 70 year old.
Eddie
Really?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I mean, he definitely looks old. He looks way older than her.
Amy
I mean, maybe if he is quote unquote younger 70 than most other 7 year olds.
Bobby Bones
Pull it up on the screen. Roy. There's no way. Roy 70. I mean, I believe it, but I'm saying this guy here, Roy's got it going on.
Amy
I just worry about him being alive when the kids like graduating high school.
Bowen Yang
Oh, he won't.
Bobby Bones
That's why they make stepdads.
Eddie
I'm surprised the girl's name is Glenda.
Bowen Yang
Yeah, that's an old name.
Bobby Bones
You know, I went too hard on Roy that I backed out of that. But yeah, Roy still rides his bike. No, Roy's a young 70 man.
Eddie
Boy, Roy.
Bobby Bones
Attaboy. Roy is right. I will bring a picture in just a second.
Eddie
There he is.
Bobby Bones
Look at Roy. Look in the far right. Right there. Huh? You guys don't think he.
Amy
I mean, he looks younger than. I wouldn't say 70, 58.
Eddie
Not 58. Come on, dude, he's 65, got a white beard.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I don't know, I'm. The 35 years is weird because you don't under. There's nothing culturally that you guys bond over. He likes what? The who, Right? And you like Harry Styles. You know, but hey, whatever works. I'm happy for him. A woman lost her home and life savings in a celebrity AI Deepfake scam video. She is Abigail. She lost her paid off home and more than $81,000 after falling victim to a sophisticated AI powered romance scam in which criminals posed as General Hospital actor Steve Burton. I need to see Steve Burton. Using advanced deepfake technology, the scammers created convincing video calls, voice messages and other communications that made Abigail believe she was in a genuine relationship. Gradually isolating her from her family, they persuaded her to send tens of thousands of dollars and ultimately commence her to sell her home. I don't recognize this guy. He's got some piercing blue eyes though.
Eddie
Wow.
Bobby Bones
Steve Burton, Fox News. So back in the day you would just get scammed by somebody sending a picture going, I'm this person now. They create these video calls where it looks just like them talking to you but everybody listening. If a celebrity reaches out to you on social media and wants to be your friend out of nowhere because you're a fan, it is not real. Unless it is a blue check mark, it is not real. They do not have secret accounts. They have for just their best fans. That is not real.
Eddie
I know, but these videos, dude, they look so real.
Bobby Bones
Steve Burton's a pretty good looking guy. He's got some.
Amy
I think that's a younger photo.
Bobby Bones
Oh, it is. He older now?
Amy
Well, I don't know. You never know with.
Eddie
I don't see any older photos of him.
Amy
He's 55.
Bobby Bones
It's pretty solid. 55.
Eddie
Him and Royer.
Bobby Bones
A private Caribbean island once owned by Shakira hits the market for $30 million.
Eddie
Lunchbox.
Bowen Yang
I don't have 30 million.
Cody Johnson
Eddie, don't be stupid.
Bobby Bones
Can you down payment?
Bowen Yang
I. What would a down payment on 30 million BE?
Cody Johnson
I couldn't afford that.
Bobby Bones
20 would be 6 million.
Eddie
Right.
Bobby Bones
I'm out just for the down payment. Dang. A remote island formerly owned by pop icon Shakira has been listed for 30 million, twice the amount the Colombian singer paid for it decades ago. It is a 650 acre slice of paradise located in the northern Bahamas, about 125 miles from Miami, Florida. 13 miles of turquoise blue waters, white sand beaches, protected coves, wooded areas, diverse wildlife habitats and high vantage points. And you can get there by private jet, helicopter or yacht.
Bowen Yang
Dang.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, my luck. I'd save up all my money and then buy this and then not be able to pay to get there. I couldn't afford the boat ride in.
Eddie
That's beautiful.
Bowen Yang
That is awesome.
Bobby Bones
Daily mail. But like one hurricane. Does it wipe that thing away?
Bowen Yang
Nah, now they. It's been there forever.
Bobby Bones
But again, one hurricane.
Eddie
Sure, but that's everything, right? Like one earthquake.
Bobby Bones
Yes, that's everything. I agree, but I think you're a little more prone here. There's a whole season of three months of hurricane season in that area what's.
Bowen Yang
More beautiful, that island or Shakira?
Bobby Bones
That's a weird.
Eddie
I was about to answer, too.
Bobby Bones
Now that the super bowl is over, millions of fans are going through withdrawal. It is called football withdrawal. Psychiatrists say it's what a smoker feels when they're deprived of cigarettes.
Amy
Wow.
Bobby Bones
It can be unpleasant. Football withdrawal is serious, but they say not serious enough for antidepressants experts. After a couple weeks, you'll find something to do with your time. That's from Loyola University.
Eddie
Yeah, I believe it.
Amy
You'll go golf or something.
Bobby Bones
I was a little fatigued. I had hit football fatigue. And maybe because I do two other two full sports shows as well, I was a little football fatigued between college and it lasting so long. Now with the College Football Playoff, NFL, I need a break.
Eddie
I feel like it's gonna hit me on Sunday, you know, when I like, ah, Sunday is noon, and there's like, oh, gosh. There's nothing on, like, Winter Olympics.
Amy
Oh, what about basketball?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. NBA's not the same. I think it's gonna be on Sunday that I don't have to be tethered to the screen all day.
Eddie
Because that's what you did.
Bobby Bones
Just like my wife. And she was great about it. She's like, it's part of your job. So why do you look at me like that?
Amy
Because that's funny.
Bobby Bones
It is part of my. I literally worked.
Amy
I know. What a blessing.
Cody Johnson
Why are you laughing?
Amy
I'm not. It's just like, wow, that really worked out for you.
Bobby Bones
It did. Austin Butler will star in a Lance Armstrong biopic. If Austin Butler doesn't play, like, the worst dude ever, I'll be disappointed.
Amy
Are they gonna show, like, all sides?
Bobby Bones
I. The only person I've ever seen do a. Do you know who I am? Is Lance Armstrong? Like, really, as a celebrity, be somewhere. Be like, you know who I am. That's the only person I've ever seen do that. Like, he better play the biggest jerk, or I'm gonna be like, that's not true. Not aside from all the cheating. And maybe Lance Armstrong has changed, but do you guys have any Lance Armstrong stories?
Eddie
Oh, yeah, dude.
Bobby Bones
Do you?
Eddie
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
What do you think about it?
Eddie
Yeah. I was backstage at a concert, and, like, him and Matthew McConaughey were walking up and he tripped. Lance tripped on the stairs, and I reached to, like, help him up, and he was like, get out of here, dude. I don't need you.
Bobby Bones
He wiped you away.
Eddie
He's just like, yeah. He, like, hit my arm away and I'm like, oh, okay.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Dude, he hit your arm away when you were trying to help. I got you.
Eddie
I got you. And he's just like, get away, dude.
Bobby Bones
I got this bad dude.
Eddie
I was like, man, that's rude.
Bobby Bones
Bad dude. Lunchbox, you have anything? No.
Bowen Yang
I just saw him and Cheryl Crowe getting off a boat one time at Hula Hut, and I ran down there and said, hello.
Amy
What does that mean?
Bowen Yang
He's just like, thanks.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I get it.
Bowen Yang
That was it.
Eddie
Hold on. You said hello? And he said, thanks.
Bobby Bones
I'm back on Team Lance now. I get it.
Bowen Yang
You know, he wasn't really rude to me. That's why I was like. He was like, all right, thanks for saying hi or whatever. And then he just walked away. And I was like, all right.
Bobby Bones
Did he say hi back or just thanks?
Bowen Yang
Thanks.
Bobby Bones
You said hi?
Bowen Yang
And he's like, oh, my gosh, that's so cool. And he's like, thanks.
Eddie
Oh, that's so cool.
Amy
Did you have a camera in their face?
Bobby Bones
Probably. Amy, have any Lance Armstrong story?
Amy
No.
Eddie
You sure?
Amy
I'm sure.
Eddie
In that documentary, though, there's.
Bowen Yang
Oh, man.
Eddie
One of my favorite scenes is when he goes to Rice because his son was playing football at Rice, and he's like, I'm gonna go speak to the team. And he's like, man, I love you guys. You guys are my favorite team. But I'm biased. Number 54, he's my favorite, and the kid's like, dad, I'm number 67. Right, right, right.
Bobby Bones
I don't think I'll be one to watch that one. But Austin Butler is awesome, though. Like, if you're. Get somebody to play you that's like, oh, yeah. Top level there, Bones. All right, we have a tattletail segment called Spill the tea.
Bowen Yang
Let's spill the tea.
Bobby Bones
So this is anonymous. The person that is telling on somebody else doesn't want to be known. So they have got on the voice changer to manipulate their voice. So maybe you won't know who it is, but the clip is 28 seconds long. Enjoy. Yeah. Like, Eddie's gonna kill a pedestrian the way he drives out of the parking garage. He comes flying down the ramp. I just wanted to let you know he's an unsafe driver, and pedestrians should be aware they're gonna get killed by Eddie in his big red Jeep. I just happened to be standing on the street, and I saw him the other day fly down the ramp, and it was so bad, so scary. So watch out for Eddie as he drives out of the garage. You're gonna get killed. So we do have a parking garage, and if you drive aggressively or reckless, you will hit somebody or something. I'm surprised there aren't more accidents. But, Eddie, first of all, any response to you driving recklessly in the parking garage in the ramp?
Eddie
No. I mean, I don't think I drive any faster than anyone else. I. If it's a straight shot, I go pretty good.
Amy
Why?
Eddie
Just because it's, you know, it's time to go home or whatever. But, like, I think where it's dangerous.
Bobby Bones
Long enough of a straight shot to feel like that, where it's dangerous is.
Eddie
Those turns, you know? So when I get to the turn, I usually slow down and I make sure no one's there. I think that's where I would probably hit a pedestrian if that were a factor. But, like, nah, man. I'm pretty safe driver coming down that.
Bobby Bones
Ramp, I would just encourage everybody to go a little slower in the parking garage than you think is the appropriate speed to go, because you can't control other people. And they come whipping around, and all of a sudden, boom. It sounds like Eddie's the other person we're talking about.
Bowen Yang
What the. Whoever did that. It sounded like they were talking about the big ramp, like, heading to the street.
Eddie
Oh, that one.
Bowen Yang
And someone did just say that they. When it's straight, they go fast.
Eddie
Oh, I didn't. I didn't catch that from that. I wonder how he caught that.
Bobby Bones
No, I caught it.
Bowen Yang
They said they were standing on the street.
Eddie
Oh, they said.
Amy
Okay, well, whoever recorded it tried to sound more feminine than they are because they were like, okay. Like so.
Eddie
Oh, it's not. That wasn't a girl.
Bobby Bones
Do you think it's a girl?
Eddie
No, I know exactly who that was.
Bobby Bones
I don't know who it was.
Eddie
Yes, you do.
Bobby Bones
Who do you think it was?
Eddie
It's lunchbox.
Bobby Bones
Okay, let's hear it again. You're like, eddie's gonna kill a pedestrian the way he drives out of the parking lot. For sure.
Eddie
Trying to be valley girl. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Can you. I'm asking here. Can you go two miles an hour slower? Yeah.
Eddie
I'm just not understanding. And, like, so coming down that just.
Bobby Bones
In general, in the parking garage, everybody go a little slower. You're gonna have an accident.
Eddie
Yeah, I can. I can promise I'll do that. Okay, Slow down a little bit.
Bobby Bones
Just a commitment to me, because I don't want you guys to get an accident here.
Eddie
I'll tell you. I haven't been close to getting an accident.
Bobby Bones
Oh, why would you Say that.
Cody Johnson
I mean.
Bobby Bones
Why would you say that?
Eddie
I mean, it just. Nothing has.
Bobby Bones
I don't believe in the jinx, but just in case I'm wrong on that, I would never say such.
Eddie
Really.
Amy
I know, but you're always. Whenever I say, I've never broken a bone, and I'm not.
Bobby Bones
Why would you say that?
Amy
I still don't break anything.
Bobby Bones
Why would you say that again?
Bowen Yang
Have you ever hit a pedestrian?
Cody Johnson
No, never.
Amy
I just don't think my bones are breakable right now, at this point. Maybe when I'm 80.
Eddie
Amy, have you ever hit anyone with your car?
Bobby Bones
Why do you have to think? Why do you have to think?
Amy
Not a physical person.
Bobby Bones
Did you see the football player that had all the felonies against him? No, because he cr. He ran into a cop. He was, like, chasing his girlfriend.
Amy
Oh, no.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Pierce for Atlanta.
Eddie
It's not good.
Bobby Bones
Supposedly thought she was cheating on him, so he, like, is in his Lamborghini, like, is chasing her. Hits a cop, Hits the human cop, not a car. Yeah. Five felonies, a bad day.
Amy
That was a very ultimate road rage.
Bobby Bones
Anyway, chill, all right?
Eddie
Slow down.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Eddie said he drove up beside a celebrity on the road.
Eddie
Man, it's so cool to see a celebrity in the wild, but when you see him in a car next to you, it's pretty awesome.
Bobby Bones
Have you guys ever seen a celebrity in a car here in town?
Amy
Oh, one time I thought I saw.
Bobby Bones
Dolly, and she confirmed that was her. That was Dolly.
Amy
So that was cool.
Bobby Bones
She confirmed.
Amy
That was a long time ago.
Eddie
I thought I saw Taylor Swift one time, but you guys said that she wasn't in town.
Bowen Yang
Yeah, I think I saw Ryan heard I was sitting at a restaurant. He was at a red light, sitting in his truck, and I took a picture of him, and I'm pretty sure if I looked through my phone, I'd find it.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Eddie
Oh, I saw Ernest. Ernest in his old car.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah, that's one for sure. You'd know or. Can you see anybody?
Amy
Yeah, I saw Keith Urban in one of his sports cars.
Eddie
Whoa.
Bobby Bones
I saw Keith Urban once in a truck. Big truck. I chased him all the way home. No, I just. I knew where he was going. I knew where he was going, and he wasn't going that fast, so it wasn't. I tailed him. I should say I was going to the same place. Yeah, But I saw him on the highway, and I was like, let me just get behind him. Who'd you see?
Eddie
Yeah, so when I was on the highway, I was like, gosh, this Car's going slow. It's stopping all kinds of traffic on the highway. On the highway. Dude, it's probably. I think at that point, it was probably 65. The car was probably 155.
Bowen Yang
Oh, that's probably Bobby.
Eddie
It was Bobby.
Bowen Yang
Shocker, dude.
Eddie
It's so funny watching you, though. You're driving, you're drinking your little sonic drink, and you look over, and I'm like, what's up? And you're like, what are you doing there?
Bobby Bones
I was drinking my little sonic drink. But I have. There's no need to go fast. Why would I be going faster than I need to go?
Amy
Yeah, but you can cause problems if you go, too.
Bobby Bones
There were no caught. There were no problems.
Eddie
It could cause traffic.
Bobby Bones
There were no traffic. It was fine. It wasn't backing up traffic.
Eddie
My gosh. Cars are just, like, passing this car.
Bobby Bones
Like, who is stupid Jeep? Seriously, for me, I was like, who is this idiot? He was right beside me. Just stand right on me. Right on.
Eddie
Did you hear me rev?
Bobby Bones
No.
Eddie
Oh, I try to rev.
Bobby Bones
My car's louder than yours.
Eddie
Yeah, much louder.
Bobby Bones
But daddy's like, what's up? And then he just drives off. He's gonna get a ticket.
Eddie
Okay, now. Now, you saw me drive fast, okay?
Bobby Bones
Did you not leave me in the dust?
Eddie
I did, but, I mean, I was going the speed limit. You were not.
Bobby Bones
You aren't going to speed limit. You weren't going the speed limit. Anyway, guys, be careful in the garage. Yeah, okay. Everybody's commitment. You'll go. You'll just think about it more, okay, sir. Yes, Bones. Wake up. Wake up in the morning. Then you turn the radio on, and the dial just keeps on turning. This week's next bit. And Bobby's on the mic. So you know what this is? This is the Bobby Vaughn. Now. Time for the morning corny. The morning Corny.
Amy
How did the orca ask out his girlfriend?
Bobby Bones
So, guys, just so you know, an orca is kind of. It's a water animal, kind of like a dog, whale type situation. I was going to ask that, like, this.
Amy
Will you be mine?
Bobby Bones
That was the morning corny.
Eddie
I like it.
Amy
No. Bottom of the ocean.
Bobby Bones
Okay. As soon as we get off the air. Yesterday, the surveillance images in the Nancy Guthrie case appeared on my feed. And it was video of a guy in a mask. And that was one of the things that I said was, man, if they're fully covered up, how are we even gonna know? Like, that's an. Because it was. How do they not get any video of him? It's like, even if they did, if he's fully covered, what are we going to know? I just wear lifts.
Amy
How do you, like, change everything about how you walk? Yeah, I know. Because one of my friends was like, amy, you have such a distinct walk. I would know it was you. If I could see you walking, I would know.
Bobby Bones
And I'd for sure be sore. So I'd be walking like, ow. Because I had done some workout the day before. They made me sore. They'd be like, that's Bobby for sure, because he's sore. But here is a clip from CBS News.
Amy
The fact that he's wearing a mask covering his hands, so he was ready. He did not want to leave DNA. He did not want his face recognizable, so speaks to that. Also, I find it interesting. We're 10 days out, and we know that technology companies were working with law enforcement, so it took them this long to obtain this image. Because an initial search of the surveillance camera footage did not yield an image like this.
Bobby Bones
Feels pretty incompetent to me that they didn't have this immediately. If all of a sudden they can go back in and find it.
Amy
Yeah. I was just, like, hoping they had it sooner and they just weren't telling us. Maybe, like, this is like, okay, now we can release it to the public.
Bobby Bones
That could have been a thing. I don't think it was here, but I was hoping the same. Like, they're not letting us know things because if we know, then we don't know what they know, so. And the guy had, like, gloves on. He was covering the camera at first. You guys watch it all?
Eddie
Yeah.
Amy
I shouldn't have sleep. Was. I was, like, setting all my alarms last night and. Well, scary.
Eddie
And then it came on tv and the kids were all watching.
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Eddie
Oh, no, no, that's. That's just a cartoon. Guys, like, it's not real. And they were just, like, scared. Now.
Bobby Bones
They grabbed a guy last night, and then I saw him on the news this morning. He's like, I didn't do it.
Amy
Yeah.
Eddie
Who is the guy?
Bobby Bones
I don't know. Some dude. And I was watching him. He's on, like, a blue.
Amy
He's a delivery guy, and he lives in the area. And apparently his eyes looked like the eyes in the video.
Bobby Bones
Unfair. They grabbed it because he was. They for sure. Yeah, yeah. And the guy's like, I want to clear my name. I didn't do it.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So there's another. I'm just run through some. Some clips here. I'm gonna lead with this. I saw on TikTok. Okay, so everybody knows that's what's happening here. This guy brings up a point. Dominic Lee Evans is the son in law's bandmate. The son in law is the person they've been saying could be a suspect.
Amy
Remember when I gave y' all his hobbies? He's in a band.
Eddie
Right, I remember that.
Bobby Bones
What does that have to do with.
Bowen Yang
That has nothing to do with me.
Amy
I'm reminding you of what I told you all that he likes. He makes homemade pasta. He's in a band.
Bobby Bones
He was arrested. This son in law's bandmate was arrested for burglary, robbery, and theft in this Arizona town. Hit it. He is Tommaso Cioni's bandmate from their band. He's been arrested in Pima county for burglary. If it's him. It could be him. It definitely could be him. If he had his mustache or a beard grown out, it could definitely be him. This is like what Amy's doing on our show.
Amy
No, I don't think it was him. I wanted to know his hobbies. He studies lizards.
Bobby Bones
That guy's Tick Tock is Nick's News now. So I'm not a big Knicks News now subscriber.
Amy
Oh, well, don't worry. Yesterday I started following in the nick of time or in the nick of crime. And his name is. No, but his. Maybe. Maybe because this is on Instagram, but his name's Nick and he does, like, a crime podcast. I was like, clever name.
Bobby Bones
So a person of interest was detained for questioning, which I talked about for Savannah Guthrie's mom, Nancy. This is after all the video came out. And yeah, this guy, if you haven't seen it yet, he's like, I undo it. I believe him.
Amy
Oh, yeah. He was like, I have no idea what you're talking about.
Bobby Bones
He's like, I never even met this person.
Amy
I need to clear my name. He's like, I don't even watch the news.
Bobby Bones
He's like, I don't even know what news is. It gets worse and worse. I've never even seen a television.
Amy
Well, no, but I mean, he was just saying, I didn't even know this woman was missing.
Bobby Bones
You know what's weird? I was thinking about because on my Twitter feed was cbs, abc, and NBC all reporting about it, and it's a massive news story, but they're all reporting about the news anchors from another network making her more famous.
Eddie
That's weird.
Bobby Bones
That's got to be a decision they're making. Or, like, when do we go with this, because regardless of how tragic, how crazy it is, like, we're elevating another network's main anchor, and then they had to commit at some point. But then also I'm seeing, like, the Today Show. That's what she's on, right?
Amy
Yes.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
The Today show is having to, you know, lead not with the Olympics, which is what they wanted to lead with, but with this every day. And they're having a balance between. It's one of their own people, like, caring about her and also just making it news.
Amy
And Hoda came back from the Olympics, well, to fill in, I guess, because she had left.
Bobby Bones
You know, it's wild that this is real. Some of it seems so fake, though, because this is so wild. It's what happens in movies and on shows on Netflix. So it got to the point where it was super crazy for a while, and now it's happened for so long, and it is so bizarre that it just feels very reminiscent of something we watch all the time.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
It's now crossed over into that space where you're now just a voyeur. You're just watching to see what happens next, just like you would a show. It's crazy. It's crazy. They haven't found the person.
Amy
I know. And it's sort of too like you're. You're talking to your friends about, like you would a show. Like, my friend called me last night who was in meetings. He hadn't really kept up for sure. And he's like, hey, can you update me on where this is? Because I. I don't feel like going back to catch up with what happened today. And so then I gave him the download of it all. And I mean, it's terrible.
Bobby Bones
It's terrible, but it also almost feels fictional because it's so terrible.
Amy
That's what I mean.
Bobby Bones
Like, you would Fine line that it gets crossed over to where now you're just talking about as it's a normal. Like, oh, wow, do you see the guy uphill skiing in the Olympics, wins that medal? How about Savannah Guthrie's mom? It just becomes like a conversation point because it's so bizarre and it's been happening for so long. Anyway, that's what's up. That's the latest on it. Something rare and bizarre has happened this morning. The FAA closed airspace around El Paso, Texas, for 10 days. Not for 10 hours, but for 10 days. And you're talking about a major city, a major hub where Southwest, Delta, that American Airlines, all goes into for 10 days.
Amy
10 days. That's crazy. I saw that even when 911 happened, I think the max that we were closed two to three days. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Wow. So this is so rare, especially for 10 days for an entire commercial airport. Now what normally happens is that the FAA will put up temporary flight restrictions if there's like a wildfire, something very local. But that'll be short. And that is airspace is limited and it'll be very coordinated if it's going in and out. What is not common about this at all is the grounding of all flights at a major commercial airport. The 10 days part is wild. And they're being so vague about it. Quote, special security reasons. That combination highly unusual. Here are some instances where this has kind of happened. 9 11, that's. That was the entire national airspace.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
But that's a once in a lifetime thing. And again it was for a couple days. If there's a major natural disaster like a hurricane like Katrina, in that instance, they will do that because they have so many other planes going in to help. And why would you be going in unless you're going in to help? And that's already all coordinated. Just talking about the coordination of it earlier volcanic ash events in different places. Sometimes they'll close it down if there's a problem with air because you just can't land an airplane when you can't see if the Runway's been damaged or the power grid is gone. But that's pre. Like that happens. And then we shut it down because of that. And then military or security operations. But anytime this has happened before, they've been shorter in duration. 10 days is wild. Especially when they say special security reasons. El Paso, big city, metropolitan city, a border city, a hub where again you got a lot of planes going in from all the major airlines. There's also a mention of Santa Teresa, New Mexico and so very uncommon. Again, I was just looking through the past 50 years. Unless it is a natural disaster or wartime level event, it doesn't happen. Now that's what I have as the last hour. Anything you've seen?
Bowen Yang
Yeah, in the last 22 minutes. FAA lifts temporary closure flights to resume.
Eddie
Oh, that was it.
Bobby Bones
How do they go 10 days then?
Amy
No, I literally just read about it being 10 days.
Bowen Yang
That's according to the AP.
Bobby Bones
Dang. We broke news and then unbroken and.
Eddie
Now we reversed it.
Bobby Bones
Then I wonder what the heck happened. Especially for them to go 10 days and then for them to do. Because this has happened just this morning. All this has happened this morning. Amy. Conspiracy theory.
Amy
Me. I know I was about to be like, is this another distraction?
Bobby Bones
It says Mexican cartel drones breached US Airspace. Oh.
Eddie
I mean, El Paso is right there.
Amy
A major security issue.
Bobby Bones
Okay, can I say this, though? Cartels, they don't really do that. They. They're smart not to get America involved in stuff. And I think, Eddie, you could speak to this because you're from down there.
Eddie
Yeah, from McAllen. But, yeah, border town cartels really don't do that.
Bobby Bones
They.
Eddie
They don't want to mess around with the American military or anything. The government, because we will shut their operation or at least they'll temporarily. You know, they don't want to do that.
Bobby Bones
Can I give you my conspiracy theory thought?
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
This is just from hearing about it now and just seeing the story pop up. What if we just say that happens, gives us a reason to go and, like, bomb them.
Eddie
The cartel?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. The cartel want anything to do with coming to America. They do things through America, but they don't want to send things into America because that would make us go, well, they've now crossed over. Let's go bomb them. I don't know, man. Everything just feels so weird right now. Everything feels weird. Everything feels like a distraction, too, from the Epstein files. I'm not gonna lie. Everything is a distraction.
Amy
I mean, honestly, that's how I'm starting to feel. And I'm making sure to take care of my algorithm. I really am. I'm trying to follow diverse situation. I'm trying to get it. I. I don't want to echo chamber, you know, so I'm really trying. And it's. It's really hard because even some of the people you would think wouldn't ever say that are now saying that, and you're like, okay, this is scary. And now that's pretty much where my mind goes. That everything is one big, huge distraction, and that the administration is like, oh, okay, yeah, this terrible thing happened over here. But good, good. Okay, we'll take that. Because it distracts.
Bobby Bones
Let's shut down airports. Let's. Yeah.
Amy
Everything terrible that has happened this year, just go ahead. And in my mind, I'm filing it under, they don't have a problem with it because it's a distraction. They know that it's a bad look, but it's also like, what's a worse look? The Epstein files. So they're picking their. Their poison.
Bobby Bones
Everything's crazy right now. I've never seen anything like it. Just generally speaking, never seen anything like it. I will say the one thing that's happened is you're seeing people come across the aisle. And both can be disgusted at the Epstein files, especially when they got to go and read the unredacted Epstein files and they come out people that were like, I don't know if this is that, but you know, like, oh, yeah, it's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. And the fact they were redacting all this stuff before they got to us. Completely unfair.
Amy
Yeah. I have goosebumps when I think about watching some of them walk out after reading it because you can tell that they are like, genuinely like, likely scarred for life for what they had to.
Bobby Bones
Read and disgusted and shocked. And those that didn't think it was as big of a deal. And they were like, nah, this is the Epstein files themselves for a conspiracy. And they came out, what, yesterday? Day four yesterday. And they're like, nope, nevermind. This is the worst thing I've ever seen.
Amy
Yeah. Like, I thought it was bad, but it's far worse. And the fact that it's ever been said to us from anybody's mouth that it's a hoax or a distraction and we need to move on from it, that makes me so mad.
Bobby Bones
It feels like we're just completely powerless and our government just tells us what to do and they think we'll believe everything they tell us.
Amy
And like, if you're not getting frustrated with this.
Bobby Bones
Yep. You're letting your apologies get ahead of your faith even.
Amy
Yeah. No, and if. Don't even get me started on what. The super bowl was one big distraction. They loved it. They loved that we were fighting about.
Bobby Bones
I just think they were making money there.
Amy
Well, they were making money, but I think that they liked that it was also a distraction. I mean, because they have us fighting. I think whatever creates more divide then makes you fall in line and want to just believe anything else that the either side is saying.
Bobby Bones
You know, we moved fast from the airport to the Epstein files. Amy and I are the same now. And people just lie about stuff. Like, it was like Oprah's plane was 11 times on Epstein Island. Amy text me. She goes, this true? I was like, no, that's not true. Like, I don't know what Oprah's done, but that part is not true.
Amy
Well, that video had at the, at the time. I'm sure it has more at this point. But it hadn't even been up for 24 hours and it had over 3.5 million views and too many shares to count. And it's like, I don't wanna be reckless with what I'm consuming. Like I said, so I wanna make sure I get that person. If they're spreading really false lies like that, I don't want that crap in my feed. But I've started to just follow informative people. Like last night I started following this girl. I gotta find her handle so I can tell y' all about it. But she is straight up. She's going through the files and she is straight up putting the people in the files and attaching the specific email, the gross email that they exchanged with Epstein, and then calling out where they work right now and asking the companies, why does this person still work there? Because in any other situation, this person would be fired.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. One of the Giants owners has been in the files. A guy who runs an agency. And now people are leaving the agency. Like really popular artists are like, I'm out. Yeah, man. Anyway, airport's back open.
Eddie
That's good. Good news.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Get you some of that Wetzel's pretzels in there. Back in El Paso. Yeah. I'd never seen anything like that as far as 10 days. But just to announce it's going to be 10 days and then to let it off in like two hours, that's crazy too.
Amy
My hand kind of hurts from when I just slammed the table. I'm. I'm.
Eddie
You're mad, you said.
Amy
I am very.
Bobby Bones
If you're not mad, you're not paying attention, disturbed, or you're letting a barrier exist because it's always existed and you're just believing people because you've always believed them.
Amy
Oh, yeah. I mean, it's causing issues in my real life relationships right now.
Bobby Bones
Oh, someone you know is in the file.
Eddie
What do you mean?
Bobby Bones
No, that'd be crazy, huh?
Amy
If that was the case, that would be no.
Bobby Bones
All right, you guys can hit us up if you want. 877-77. Bobby.
Amy
Bobby Bone Show.
Bobby Bones
Bonehead.
Bowen Yang
This story comes to us from Kinston, North Carolina. A 41 year old man broke into a Little Caesar's pizza place. Turned on the lights, fired up the oven, put the open sign on, served pizzas and took the money for himself.
Amy
Oh, okay.
Bowen Yang
I mean, then he cleaned it. He cleaned it, shut it down. When he closed the next night, he broke in again. Employees were waiting for him that time. Turns out he was a former employee. So he knew how everything worked. That's how he was able to get in there.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it seemed fishy that he just know how to do it all, all that stuff. So was that like cosplay? He's a manager.
Bowen Yang
Well, he just. It was a way to make Money. He just turned on the stuff. He started serving pizzas instead of ringing them up in the register. He was making straight cash.
Bobby Bones
But he wasn't working there. He's a former employee.
Bowen Yang
Right, right, but he needed money.
Bobby Bones
No, I get that. I'm just saying if you turn it on, you don't work there. Someone's gonna go, he doesn't work here. And then they're gonna arrest him.
Bowen Yang
Yeah, but no one was there when he. He was the only one working the restaurant.
Amy
I mean, how many customers do you get if you're normally closed, but then.
Bobby Bones
People are driving by?
Eddie
It'd be cool, like, two in the morning. You're like, wow, Little Caesar's open.
Bowen Yang
Yeah.
Amy
He'd be like, it's $50 for this one pizza. They're like, wait a second.
Bobby Bones
Okay, there you have it.
Bowen Yang
I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day.
Bobby Bones
Halle Berry is getting married for a fourth time. Lunchbox. I know you're a big Halle Berry fan.
Bowen Yang
Oh, man. She's getting married four.
Bobby Bones
Four times.
Bowen Yang
I do.
Bobby Bones
Listen, you may. You may find a JLO for being married so many times.
Bowen Yang
I will say that her track record makes me think she might be a little bit on the crazy scale. Which, I mean, is just unfortunate because she's so beautifully hot. Like, oh, my gosh, how unfortunate? Like, so unfortunate. Like, I, you know, I want her to be the perfect woman. And her track record speaks that she might be a little crazy, a little.
Amy
Hard to do guys like, well, that.
Bobby Bones
Means she's picked out three bad dudes, and she has a bad picker, too.
Bowen Yang
She's the common denominator. And so that little does worry me, though. But I'm telling you, man, that crazy scale, you know how you say the crazy scale? It must be so bad that these guys can't deal with it.
Amy
Yeah, or she can't deal with them.
Bobby Bones
There's something to that.
Eddie
Amy.
Bowen Yang
Yes.
Amy
I don't know.
Bowen Yang
I don't want to bash on my girl, Halle, let me tell you.
Bobby Bones
Can you name her husband's.
Bowen Yang
Ooh, No, I cannot name her husband.
Eddie
You know one of them?
Bowen Yang
I know one of her husbands. Oh, David Justice.
Eddie
Yeah. There you go.
Bobby Bones
Play for the Braves.
Bowen Yang
Okay. And then she married.
Bobby Bones
You won't know the other ones. You don't know Eric Benet, he was a singer. And then Oliver Martinez, a French actor. And then now she's marrying Van Hunt. Yeah.
Bowen Yang
I don't know who Van Hunt is.
Amy
Sam Hunt's brother?
Bobby Bones
No.
Eddie
No. Is his name Van Hunt?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Bowen Yang
How's there two Van Hunts?
Amy
Yeah. That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
Is Van Hunt the news guy, right? I know a Van Hunt, 55. Is he the news guy? I don't. I don't know Van Hunt like a new guy. No, he's a singer, songwriter, producer. I'm thinking of Van Jones. Is that somebody on the news?
Eddie
I don't know.
Bobby Bones
No, I don't know. Van's pretty cool. Yeah. Van Jones, I'm thinking of. Yeah, he's cool. I like that guy. Yeah. Halle Berry confirmed her engagement to Van Hunt during an appearance on the Tonight show with Jimmy Fallon. So she's getting married for a fourth time. We love love, don't we, everybody? We do.
Bowen Yang
We love Halle Berry.
Bobby Bones
We're not gonna hate on that. Bye, everybody.
Bowen Yang
Mr. Bobby Bones.
