45 years ago, a Virginia soul band called the Edge of Daybreak recorded their debut album, Behind Bars. Record collectors consider it a masterpiece. The band's surviving members are long out of prison. But they say they have some unfinished business.
Lunchbox
Break. Eyes of Love was supposed to have been followed up by another app, Listen.
Bobby Bones
To Soul incarcerated on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your.
Lunchbox
Podcasts, Mr. Bobby Bones. Well, let's start the podcast. I can do Eddie first. Going LA is crazy. I was not part of the racist incident. Incident. So I don't. This is not my racist story.
Bobby Bones
I don't know what it is. Me and Ubers, because, like, I remember in New Orleans had a crazy story in New Orleans.
Lunchbox
What was your New Orleans story?
Bobby Bones
Where I was gonna put my suit in the front seat and the lady had, like, a bag of trash, just threw it on the street. She's like, put your suit right there.
Lunchbox
That wasn't racism, though. That was littering. Not. Not as bad as racism, but still. Yeah, unfortunate. So we went to Los Angeles for a couple days. Show's been on the last couple days. But I filled in for Rich Eisen Massif from ESPN back in the day. Works for NFL Network. He went on vacation, and so I went. Filled a couple days, but so we stayed in LA for two days, and at times we'd be split apart. So Eddie and Reed would get in an Uber. And what happened?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, we want to go to Venice Beach. So we get an Uber, and we're almost to Venice, and our Uber driver kind of turns on a street and pulls in front of a truck, and the truck just lays the horn for, like, 30 seconds. Like, we're like, what is happening? And then the Uber driver's like, dude puts his arms up like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Lunchbox
What do you want?
Bobby Bones
Like, what do you want?
Lunchbox
Driver was what race? He's a white dude.
Bobby Bones
And the guy in the truck was a Hispanic fella. And so we get to a stoplight, and then the guy. The truck pulls up right next to us, and the guy. The Hispanic guy, rolls the window down. He's like, boom, boom, boom, boom. Starts yelling.
Lunchbox
Are you scared at that point?
Amy
Oh, yeah.
Lunchbox
He may pull out a gun.
Bobby Bones
We're in la.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Like, yeah, I'm scared. And then the Uber drivers like, what do you want? But didn't roll the window down, thank God. But he was, like, yelling through the window. What are you gonna do about it, Chewy?
Lunchbox
Huh? Huh?
Bobby Bones
Oh, you do something chewy. And I'm like, oh, oh, chewy.
Lunchbox
So Reed didn't know because Reed is younger and white and didn't understand that Chewie was. I wouldn't say a racist term, but he was using a name.
Bobby Bones
Just a blanket Hispanic name.
Lunchbox
A Hispanic nickname.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's like doing Carlos, Jose, whatever.
Lunchbox
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Chewie at the dude, huh?
Lunchbox
What if he didn't know Chewie, though? Do you think there was a chance they knew each other? No, no chance.
Bobby Bones
Because Chewie wanted to kill him and.
Lunchbox
You were a little concerned.
Bobby Bones
Well, and I was thinking to myself too, like, does he not know that I'm Hispanic?
Lunchbox
Oh, it's a good point.
Bobby Bones
I'm in the backseat and Chewy's in.
Lunchbox
The backseat as well. He's surrounded by Chewies.
Bobby Bones
Interesting.
Lunchbox
We. I didn't go with them. Had another meeting. But Venice beach is where they do.
Amy
All the muscles they work out.
Lunchbox
Yeah, it's. They call it Muscle Beach. Right. And Eddie was saying they had music on and the guys would like. They knew people were like watching.
Bobby Bones
There was this one guy who looked like he was a competitive bodybuilder and he just. He was oiled up and everything. He would just do like a couple curls and then like the crowd would be like.
Lunchbox
Oh, they would cheer.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah.
Amy
Do they have like tip jars out?
Bobby Bones
No.
Amy
Is this like their job?
Lunchbox
I don't think you can get to them. Oh, can you walk on the floor?
Bobby Bones
Anyone can work out in there.
Lunchbox
Oh, really? I've never been.
Bobby Bones
There was an older dude, like maybe like a 60 year old.
Lunchbox
So you could have hopped in and did some. 15 some curls.
Bobby Bones
100%. Yeah. It's just like a community gym outside with like, with benches and weights and everything.
Lunchbox
I thought you had to either pay or. No. One of the guys that I know. Cause we were out there and he called me and he goes, hey, what are you doing? I said, we're go try to find some food. I'm leaving Aiza to a different meeting. And he was like, hey, be careful, okay? You don't even know where I am or what I'm doing. It doesn't matter where you are. One of my friends just got mugged outside of a really nice restaurant at a valet and they stole his watch. What?
Bobby Bones
Like, why do you tell us that?
Lunchbox
What? What?
Bobby Bones
We were on our way towards, like, I hear you.
Lunchbox
Like, I'm looking around anyway, like. And he said, so it doesn't matter what part of town you're in, just be careful. People will jump you.
Amy
Crime is up there.
Lunchbox
Or I guess, I don't know. But then. Anybody walking anywhere?
Bobby Bones
Anyone?
Lunchbox
What do you. I got my sleeves pulled over my watch. The. Yeah, it's. It's bizarre.
Amy
Louisiana. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
LA is crazy. You know, there's a skyscraper downtown where like they didn't finish building it. And there's graffiti all over it. It's up.
Lunchbox
It's probably like 50 floors and there's nothing in it.
Amy
It's just like.
Bobby Bones
It's like really. It's like they started building it. They put glass and everything, but they didn't finish it. So I guess people just, in the middle of night just go and spray paint.
Eddie
That's cool.
Amy
Now it's just art.
Lunchbox
Can homeless people stay in it?
Bobby Bones
I think so. Like now there's gates around it, but I think people jump the gates.
Lunchbox
That's what I would do, right, if I were homeless. Hey, Scuba lived out there for a long time. Now he moved here. He gets run off the road all the time. If you guys haven't heard that story.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Do you know about this building?
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
They started, I think, in Covid and it's just been sitting there. No one's moved into it. There's also one in Orlando too, called the eyesore and i4, which you guys probably saw when you're there, similar where they built it, it's just been sitting there. No one's moved into it. It's just vacant.
Lunchbox
Why? Why the one in la? I'm looking at it now. It's actually a lot more finished than I thought it was because there's glass on.
Bobby Bones
Oh, there's glass.
Lunchbox
Why?
Bobby Bones
I just think because most people left during COVID There's a mass exodus. They thought maybe at some point people would move into it and take over, but no one's moved into it. I mean, I don't think they fully finished it as well. I think it's just the exterior is finished, but the inside isn't fully done. And stupid question, like, how do you get from the first floor to like the 40th?
Lunchbox
Probably stairs. Oh, my goodness.
Bobby Bones
Stupid question.
Amy
Yeah, thank you.
Bobby Bones
I was like the other elevator in there.
Lunchbox
You're right. But the answer would be stairs. And then.
Bobby Bones
Thank you.
Lunchbox
But I'm sure, like we lived in Austin, right? We were younger, so we went out a bunch more in Nashville. I guess I could ask Morgan this question, but in Austin, if you went in a stairwell in a parking garage, people were. It was terrible. Even like a three story parking garage. People would just like pee in the stairwell. They'd be so drunk they'd pee or vomit in stairwells. And you just didn't want to go up and down the stairs if it wasn't a place that was constantly or consistently being cleaned. Is it like it here? Yeah. I mean, the other day we came out of brunch, and there was vomit on the street, so the street, though, like, in every stairwell. I felt like in Austin, it smells like a bathroom.
Amy
Yeah, it's gross.
Lunchbox
It was.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
They're not. They're not great here. And also, if you go up on the. On any of the bars on Broadway, they have multiple levels, and those stairs are, like, so sticky, and they're just gross because so many people are drunk.
Amy
Stumbling up and down them.
Lunchbox
I mean, spilling beer and stuff, too. Yep. Hey, I want to address the chair contest from yesterday.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah. Thank you.
Lunchbox
And a bit of the controversy, and people are holding me accountable, which is absolutely fair. I was kind of put between a rock and a hard place where Eddie brought a drill. But we never said, don't bring a drill. So it started, and we didn't say, don't bring tools. I didn't feel like it was the Ferris thing, which is why I took it from them after, like, a third. But I agree that Morgan did lose. However, it wasn't on equal terms once the game started. You did nothing wrong because there wasn't a rule about tools.
Bobby Bones
Are people upset about this?
Lunchbox
Well, people come at me for it because I'm the one that has to enforce the rules. So Eddie did win, but I will acknowledge that I could have stepped in and said, hey, nah, man, you can't use your drill. I just hate doing that when I never said that to begin with. And all he did was play within the rules that were given him.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, hate the game, not the player.
Lunchbox
Hate the.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, hate the game because the game wasn't in the rules.
Lunchbox
The player, not the game.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no, don't hate me because I'm the player.
Lunchbox
No, no, but you know what I mean.
Bobby Bones
Don't hate the player.
Lunchbox
No, but you're the player. You're the one who brought it, and they can hate you for it. Oh, yeah. But don't hate the game, because the game rule wasn't that you could bring or not bring a drill.
Eddie
Right.
Amy
See how Eddie said it? I agree with that. So it's like our brains think same because we're dyslexic. That's right.
Eddie
Here we go.
Amy
We're seeing it backwards, because I'd be like, yeah, hate the game, not the player. Be mad at the rules. Not Eddie, me, the player.
Lunchbox
I had asked on the show if by accident, I had sexually harassed Morgan by saying, hey, your hair looks good. And then we had the whole conversation of what you can say in the office.
Amy
Right?
Lunchbox
And so I was like, oh, like I didn't think I really sexually harassed her, but some people, you know, we hear stories all the time, don't talk about people, physical things. And her hair was different. Hey, your hair looks good. Then I'm like, oh, I might, I might have sexually harassed her. Whatever the crazy rules are now. I felt her sexually harass me back the other day. Uh oh, she was just testing it because it was like about my sweater or something or. I don't even. I was walking out and she was. She said something to see if I'd feel uncomfortable. I don't remember what it was, but. Was that on purpose?
Amy
I was testing you to see how.
Lunchbox
You felt, like in reverse harassed.
Bobby Bones
What did she say?
Amy
I just said, hey, that's a cool sweater.
Lunchbox
And then I said, oh, those are cool pants. And that part was to be funny because we said, you can't really talk about somebody's pants.
Amy
Yeah, but I feel like if you say cool in front of it, it makes it okay.
Lunchbox
Yeah, well, HR I'll be calling you later. I do that. I turn it on her. But I meant to acknowledge that as I was walking out. I didn't. But it just felt. It was a great experiment too for me because it just, it didn't feel like anything other than, oh, that's just a friend saying what you're wearing is cool.
Amy
Which is exactly how I felt when.
Lunchbox
You complimented my hair. So I was trying to see how you felt on the opposite side. Yeah, I didn't feel like a piece of meat. Although sometimes I would like that. Not by any of you guys at all.
Amy
Who do you want to feel like a piece of meat from? Just people. You just want to be one.
Lunchbox
The common general public. Yeah, Pop. So I'd be like, man, he's so hot. Yeah, I never got that. Like good looking people that like, have been like, man. Or like, get things because they're attractive or people stare at them because they're attractive. Like, that's crazy. I'd love to have that man.
Eddie
It's a rough life. It really is. Sometimes it gets overwhelming, but it is nice because you get preferential treatment.
Bobby Bones
Do they tell you that lunchbox, like.
Eddie
You'Re so hot, you can see in theirs, their eyes. They look up like, whoa, like, that's a good looking dude.
Amy
He's just like.
Eddie
And some people do say it though.
Lunchbox
They say what? Like what has been said to you by someone you don't know about your physical looks?
Eddie
I just like, you are like a model.
Lunchbox
That's never been said. I don't Think you're ugly, but there's no one that's ever come up to you and said, you look like a model.
Eddie
You haven't been there. I guess I haven't.
Amy
You are like a model.
Eddie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
What kind of model?
Eddie
I don't. That's all they say. They don't tell me what kind of model.
Lunchbox
Model, probably. Right.
Eddie
I don't know.
Lunchbox
Like a fitness model or something.
Eddie
I. I don't know. Guys, they don't go into detail.
Amy
They're like, man, like, they just make noises.
Eddie
I've had girls do that too.
Lunchbox
And what would that noise sound like?
Amy
No.
Eddie
Like a piece of that.
Lunchbox
Oh, they even say, I'd like a piece of that.
Amy
Yeah. He's like, meat dang.
Lunchbox
Eddie wants to know if I appreciate you guys more. What does that mean?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. So we went to the Rich Eisen show, and, like, you filled in for two days with other co hosts, like, just other people that you're not used to just doing a show with. So I wondered, like, when you were done with the shows, were you, like, wow, I really appreciate Eddie Lunchbox and Amy, like, you know, they're.
Lunchbox
They're Morgan and Mike.
Bobby Bones
Everyone. Everyone.
Lunchbox
But, like, you know, you don't appreciate everybody right now.
Bobby Bones
Morgan, Mike. Yeah, yeah, Abby.
Lunchbox
I think I appreciate everybody the same. I was in someone else's system. So it's. And it's two guys, and they have other jobs while they're going. Where I felt the biggest compliment was the main guy that sits across Chris. And I've done the show before. There were times where he wouldn't be looking at me. He'd be working on, like, social media stuff already as I'm doing the show. That was the biggest compliment because that meant he felt comfortable enough with a guest host to go back to doing his job and not have to always look at being there as like, okay, I'm gonna be there and just pay attention to everything you say to prop you up. So biggest compliment was that he just did what he normally does after a bit. But I appreciate you guys. The same. Different models.
Bobby Bones
Totally different.
Lunchbox
We have one model right there. Lunchbox.
Bobby Bones
Yes. Yeah.
Eddie
Right here.
Lunchbox
He gets told he looks like a model. This show was built on me finding people that I knew outside of the business world and bringing them in and making a show that sounds probably not like the best radio show, but hopefully, like a show that people feel like they understand the people they sound like the people. Like we sound. That's a really professional show. So different. You want to compliment. You're great no, no.
Bobby Bones
I thought that it showed me just sitting there watching you do. Do. It was like almost like your range as an actor, you know, where, like.
Lunchbox
I took on a serious role.
Bobby Bones
It's kind of like a comedian taking on a serious role where it's. It's. No, it's not like, it's a completely different show.
Lunchbox
Full frontal, nude.
Bobby Bones
But it is cool, dude. Like, you just go in and, like, you. You take over that piece and then it's a whole new show, different co hosts, and you just did four hours of it.
Lunchbox
It's good for me to stretch myself that way and hop into someone else's system. Yes.
Bobby Bones
Pretty cool.
Lunchbox
Yeah, it's pretty cool. Their studio's huge, Amy.
Amy
Oh, yeah, I saw. I looked on the video.
Lunchbox
It.
Bobby Bones
It's humongous.
Lunchbox
It's humongous.
Bobby Bones
And they're very far apart from each other, which I was surprised by.
Lunchbox
And.
Amy
Oh, distance wise, like. Yeah, yeah, further than me and Bobby get.
Lunchbox
Further. It probably double. Oh, and my vision so bad. I mean, wonder if I was over there.
Bobby Bones
It's funny you mentioned Chris because, like, he would be on his computer and I'd look like, oh, he's like. He's like lunchbox. He's probably, you know, Facebook.
Lunchbox
No, no, he was actually working.
Bobby Bones
He was working. He was doing stuff.
Lunchbox
Yeah, we're lunchbox. What are you doing right now on your computer? What's he doing right now, Morgan?
Eddie
Deleting emails.
Amy
He is. He's on his computer deleting emails.
Lunchbox
Yeah, he's going through his junk mail.
Eddie
Yeah.
Lunchbox
No, no, no.
Eddie
My hotmail is at 96% full, so I'm.
Amy
Wait, you still have Hotmail?
Eddie
Yeah. Does the Internet still work? So why would I change it?
Amy
I mean, I had Hotmail and then I upgraded to Gmail long time ago. And it was a great, great.
Eddie
Why?
Amy
It offered me more.
Lunchbox
What does it offer you? Hold on. There's no need to be aggressive.
Eddie
No, but she just ripped on my Hotmail.
Lunchbox
She was surprised. That'd be like, yeah, I'm over here on aol. Hold on a second, I'll get off. Let me log off AOL and shut down my MySpace tab like that. That would be similar. Ish. Hotmail is still used, but like Gmail or Apple, they actually are able to be used by so many things. Like one account does, like nine different things. Like you have a Gmail account. You can do sign like YouTube TV. There's all these things.
Eddie
But I don't have YouTube TV.
Lunchbox
No, no, it doesn't.
Eddie
So why would I.
Amy
It doesn't have to be that calendar.
Eddie
It'd be like, yes, don't have a calendar.
Amy
Okay, see? Well, hot mess.
Lunchbox
Probably why you should just do snail mail, bro. Since you have nothing else. Just, like, mail letters.
Amy
I mean, he would like to. He. That's how he wants to pay all of his bills.
Eddie
I do. And I do like it whenever someone. Like, when you're at a place like your doctors or whatever, and they're like, oh, can we get an email? And I'm like, @hotmail.com, they're like, hotmail.com. oh. Yep. They look at you a little weird, but got. I mean, what. What did hot.
Lunchbox
Or they look at you like, is he serious? Like, is he messing with.
Eddie
I feel like Hotmail gets a bad rap. It still does. It. It brings my email to me. It sends email out. It's just like, it's. It was back in 98.
Lunchbox
I don't think it gets a bad rap. I think it's just not used as much. So people are surprised when someone uses it as their main. But I don't think anybody judges you for it. I don't think Amy's like, well, you're an idiot. Use Hotmail. There just aren't a lot of people who use Hotmail as their main mail. It'd be like, yahoo Mail. You know, I used a Yahoo Mail account for a long time, and if someone still said it, I'd be like, hey, more power to you, buddy. I can't. That's crazy. You're still using that. You get on Ask Jeeves for search. You know, I will say when I.
Eddie
Ask people for their email, I've not really got many Hotmail accounts handed to me. But yeah, I still use the Hotmail because everybody still has it. Like, I don't want to go tell everybody, hey, man, I changed my email.
Lunchbox
It's not gonna break the heart.
Eddie
No, but it's. It's annoying because what if you miss somebody?
Lunchbox
Well, you keep. That's a good point. Like, who are you worried about missing?
Amy
Like, that you can't update, but you can.
Lunchbox
You can keep both in.
Eddie
But, like, my accounts.
Lunchbox
Like, it's like if you change the cell phone number, you can slowly move it.
Amy
Yeah. It doesn't matter what account. I just googled it and says it's generally not considered a preferred source for professional or personal use.
Lunchbox
Did I say that?
Amy
And it has a reputation for being associated with spams and scams.
Lunchbox
Oh, hey. The favorites of only fan models everywhere.
Bobby Bones
You think they talk about lunchbox And Hotmail, like, it's his only customers. They're like, okay, so what do you think Lunchbox wants?
Lunchbox
A picture of him is up in the office.
Amy
There's only a few more.
Lunchbox
The last original.
Eddie
And I can't believe you guys don't use the Hotmail did.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I did. I haven't a while.
Eddie
But why. Why pull the plug? What makes it so cool to pull the plug?
Lunchbox
But I told you, because I have an Apple email address that I use mostly because it goes with my phone, with my computer. I can say, so it's all my television. All the accounts that I use are together, so that makes it easier. They're all integrated. Same thing with. I have a Gmail address as well.
Amy
You know, he created that Hotmail so long ago. It could have something like Hot Boy 69, like his name.
Lunchbox
But it's not gonna. It's not gonna be Lunchbox, though. Cause I'm sure he had it before.
Bobby Bones
He was lunchbox Y98. He said.
Lunchbox
Yeah, he was. Yeah. So he wasn't. He wasn't. Then he was like, prom king.
Amy
Yes.
Lunchbox
For life.
Eddie
I'm back here in 2012 deleting emails from 2012.
Lunchbox
But why are you doing that right now? Like, we're in the middle of the show. There's no reason to.
Eddie
No, no. But I'm talking to you as we do it.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Eddie
Because I can double task, but there's.
Lunchbox
No reason to task. It doesn't matter.
Amy
Have y'all ever gone back to, like, right here?
Eddie
I got one from checks in the mail.
Lunchbox
I cringe when I see stuff I wrote.
Amy
Did you ever? Just, like. So sometimes I just go back. I'll type in a gear, like, just. And then grab bags, see what comes up. And I've looked at old emails between me and Bobby back in the day, between, like, when I was first starting on the show and I was sending, like, hey, what do you think about this? For show prep? And I'm cringing at it. But you were encouraging. You're like, you're getting on the right track.
Lunchbox
I cringe when I see old. And I have a Facebook page, but I have, like, 20 people I follow. I just basically watch my sister and her kids, like a personal one. And I'll see things that I would post. Fifteen years ago, I was like, oh, I hate me. Like, if I got in a time machine and I met me, I'd be like, I don't like you.
Bobby Bones
And the captions.
Lunchbox
Yeah, it was all. It was all bad. It's all bad. I saw A picture of Blake Lively working behind the counter at a donut shop in Connecticut. Obviously as like, image rehabilitation, but her image rehabilitation needs just to be. Go away for. For a while.
Amy
How does working at a donut shop make her normal?
Lunchbox
Look at me. I'm just doing something fun like normal people do. This is giving out donuts.
Amy
Oh, she's giving them away.
Lunchbox
Well, no, but just like, I'll read you the story. Blake Lively's in her self described happy place. The actress, 37, surprised fans by working behind the counter at a donut shop in Connecticut, baking with genius food friends and their kitchen mixer the size of a car. She wrote alongside a photo of a kitchen tool on Instagram from People. A source tells People that Lively was in a happy mood during the visit. At one point, a father and son chatted with Lively and the dad told his child her husband's deadpool. Lively has highlighted her love of baking. So this is. Let me get in the news for something that's good. It's just real bad right now.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
And so I think the best way sometimes, because I think pretty much you can bounce back from anything. If you don't hurt an animal or a kid or kill somebody, you can bounce back. And maybe some. Some roads are longer than others. But I think she should just chill for a while. Give it a year and a half break. I'm sure she has projects, but just chill because this looks so contrived. But the donuts do look good. I'm not gonna lie. The donuts do.
Eddie
Now, is it. Oh, I feel like it's over for whoever loses this case. Right.
Lunchbox
They may settle because I feel like.
Eddie
Whoever loses is just gonna be ripped apart.
Lunchbox
Both sides are getting ripped apart. I think now he's taken the lead because he made the website and posted everything on the website.
Amy
And I mean, if you were him, would you settle? I feel like I would want to if I was truly.
Lunchbox
I'm sure they want it to be over, though. I'm sure he wants it to be over too, because he was the bad guy, that Justin Baldin forever. For months, everybody hated him because they. They were the first ones out. They were the first to market with. This is why the situation is bad and toxic and.
Amy
Which is why I feel like maybe he may have more incentive to not settle because it's like, ugh.
Lunchbox
I could also see that he's exhausted of it and just wants it to go away and could make a bunch of money and everybody in his industry would know, but we also forget about things. So Quickly as like the public that's not involved. Dude, she'll be fine in a year if she just goes away, nobody will care. Nobody will care.
Eddie
I will say I've learned his name now. I didn't know who he was.
Lunchbox
I didn't either.
Eddie
Like, he's made. He. He is now on the front of everything and he has a shot to have a pretty good career, I think. I don't know if he's good acting idea. Did he?
Lunchbox
I don't know. I didn't know him before, but I mean, I know I'm only from this and I learned only from this. I didn't like him at all at first. He seemed like a bad dude, but then you realize, oh, they just led in the narrative. And he waited. When he put the website out of like, all the stuff, like all the. Everything was like fold up. I was like, oh, so y'all.
Amy
Did y'all watch Virgin Jane? The Virgin was that back in the day? Oh, he was in that. So I guess that's where I first knew him from. And then he. I mean, he has other projects. I know. And wrote a book. He wrote a book.
Eddie
So what do we think? Do we do. Do we think that they were in love and then they broke up?
Lunchbox
Yeah. So I. I'm. This is only think, only speculation. I feel like I've been on that part of Tick Tock. I'm not as much anymore, but I was on it for like two weeks. Like Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively, TikTok. Once everything came out, as far as he released all the stuff on his own website so everybody could see. What it feels like to me is that Ryan Reynolds is a massive control freak. Like, that is the thing that I take as his mass control freak. Now, was it because he felt like something was happening between those two? Because I did read a little text. It was kind of flirty between her and him. And they were doing he's hot, she's hot. They were doing, you know, in a movie scenes, I'm sure human things happen and feelings happen. The Taylor Swift stuff got kind of crazy when she was using. Using Taylor as basically a weapon. Like, I'm Khaleesi and I have my dragons, and Taylor's one of the dragons. And then there's a reason she wasn't at the super bowl with Taylor like she was last year. Like, Taylor's like, I don't want a part of this. So it felt like a big power play. When they had the premiere, they made I can ask Movie Mike this too, but he, like, had to go down in the bottom, like, in the basement. Yeah. I kept him separate. They didn't do any of the press together. Yeah, they. She had, like, had her own. She was editing her. It felt like they bullied him a bit. And I do not know any of what I'm saying is accurate other than what I've watched, but it seems to me and Amy, I'd like to know what it seems to you like. Like Ryan Reynolds got upset is the most powerful of all, and created pretty much all of this from him being upset for whatever reason he was upset.
Amy
That's a theory that I've heard from other people, and that's the one I lean towards. Like, that's the one that. What resonates with me the most is that, yeah, there was something that he felt threatened by or something went on, and then he orchestrated like, a. Okay, this is the takedown, and this is how we're gonna handle it, because I'm not. I'm not gonna be embarrassed by this.
Lunchbox
He made fun of him in Deadpool and did Nice Pole. And it made no sense. That character had no context in the movie. Yeah. They said that was a. Kind of made it a jab at him. Yeah. And so I think you put some lines in there that were references to things. Yeah. So we don't know, like. Like anything else. We don't know. What's crazy is. Speaking of we don't know. And it's gonna come out Friday. I did an interview with Amanda Knox, and it was like. It was over half an hour, and that was 2007. Am I going accurate with the year where Amanda Knox quickly was. She was like an exchange student or she was living abroad, going to school in Italy. She was 20 years old. Her roommate, they found a roommate dead, and they're like, she did it. Amanda Knox did it. She's on trial in Italy. She's convicted. She's in jail for years. They appeal. She wins the appeal. They reconvict her. They revisit. But just watching the news, she did it. And there wasn't social media now, there wasn't people podcasts that were doing true crime. But watching the news at the time, you're like, yeah, she probably did it. She's young and pretty, and, yeah, I probably don't like her because she's young and pretty and I'm not. And so she probably did it. That was generally how people felt. And then Once it was 2007, Amanda Knox was catapulted into global infamy after being accused of 2007 murder of her British roommate Meredith Kercher during a study abroad program in Perugia, Italy. May not be saying that right. But that's what I remember. And then now once all the facts come out about the DNA, once how they just messed up all the evidence and it seems to me like a lot of it was because they identified her. They wanted to have somebody that they could say did it and have the victory of we found them, the murderer is now found. Let's move on. And the American villain, and she didn't do it. And so. But she. I talked with her for like it's on it comes out Friday on the Bobby cast and she was awesome.
Amy
Like, yeah, it was interesting.
Lunchbox
Oh yeah, you were in here listening.
Amy
Yeah, I was in here deleting emails.
Lunchbox
But paying attention back from 91.
Amy
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lunchbox
But yeah, that's. That's us though, because the media paints us in certain ways to look. You should see it this way because we're giving you the narrative. So it's the only narrative we see. Especially back then. I could do the Duke lacrosse thing. That's the most famous one ever. Oh, that one was. That didn't happen. They didn't rape her.
Bobby Bones
I'm sure there are still people that don't know the follow up on that because you just read it and you take it for what it is and you move on with your life.
Eddie
And they were like supposed to be the number one lacrosse team and they got their season.
Lunchbox
Boom.
Eddie
See ya.
Lunchbox
Yeah, so.
Eddie
Oh, not bad.
Lunchbox
All that to say. I really try not to formulate an opinion unless I feel like I have seen some anti bias information. And it's really hard to find anti bias information. Like really hard. So that's why I'm like, I don't really know what happened with those two. But if you were to ask me, based on what I read through, even through some of like the legal documents that have been filed, like it seems like if I can be friends with one of them, it'd probably be Justin Baldani because it seems like Ryan Reynolds probably not the best dude. And Blake Lasley.
Eddie
So now I gotta look at Ryan Reynolds all different.
Lunchbox
The thing is you won't because he seems so. Nine months. What everybody moves on. Nobody like got stabbed, a kid didn't get hurt, a dog didn't get kicked, people.
Eddie
But it's pretty bad. I mean, I don't know what they accused. They say a sexual. Like what did they.
Lunchbox
No, there was no assault. Like, like made uncomfortable with some of Them. Right. You know, I mean, like, you guys can correct me. I'm just going from mine. I don't. Yeah. I think it was, like, made to feel uncomfortable in the workplace. Okay.
Eddie
Making sure there's not any, like, false accusations of, like, it does.
Lunchbox
The legal filing accuses Mr. Balfani, Mr. Baldani, and Wayfarer CEO Jamie Heath. Who's that?
Amy
That's his partner.
Lunchbox
Of repeated. Of disturbing behavior and repeated sexual harassment.
Amy
Not partner like life partner. He has a wife, like, partner in that. Wayfarer. But, like, he's CEO of that. Yeah, like, he's involved in that.
Eddie
Not the.
Amy
Not that. Where we got the chairs.
Lunchbox
No, no. Yeah. No way.
Bobby Bones
That's what I thought.
Lunchbox
No, no, no.
Eddie
I was like, dang.
Amy
No, no, no.
Lunchbox
Anyway, my point is she should just chill because that. All that does is it's still too new to the controversy just to hide out for a little bit. We're gonna forget anyway. And that story about her, if true, where she walks out with the phone and starts recording the other girl, and she's the next day, dude, that sorry psychotic. And psychotic if true. And like, apparently, if true, allegedly Blake Lively's bodyguard was taking pictures. Girl license plate. Yeah. And then if the hotel gave that crew that girl's information.
Amy
So, yeah, Wayfair is technically considered what, a production company?
Lunchbox
Wayfair or Wayfarer?
Amy
I don't know. I. I've been saying it Wayfair, but if looking at it phonetically. Wayfarer Studios production company that also was behind the movie. It ends with us. And so that's his partner in the Wayfarer Entertainment Studios.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Anyway, Go away. That's what I would say. That'd be my advice. People will forget. People forget very, very, very quickly. As long as the bad things aren't done. Let's go. Give me voicemail number five, Ray.
Eddie
Good morning, Bobby.
Lunchbox
Good morning, studio.
Eddie
I just wanted to let you know that me and my wife will be coming to Nashville Saturday for the Challenge Mania live show. And I know Lunchbox is a huge Challenge Real World fan, like I am, so I was just wondering, is he coming to the show, or did he even know anything about it? Huh? Did I know about it? I'm going to be interviewing all them suckers. That's right. We're going to have a big old panel up here at the studio.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Whoa. Really?
Amy
Oh, yes.
Eddie
I said to Bobby, I was like, bobby, I don't want to step on your toes. I know, like, you like doing interviews.
Lunchbox
But you didn't say anything to Me, Scuba said, hey, do we want to do this? And I was like, yeah, it sounds great. If he wants to do it, bring him up and we can use it on the podcast next week. That'd be great. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Why do you make stuff up like that?
Lunchbox
Bobby, let me tell you something. That's why I told him. I said, you listen here.
Bobby Bones
We had a meeting. You.
Lunchbox
You let me take control of this one.
Bobby Bones
He ran with that one pretty good.
Lunchbox
What do you think? What is it, though? Like, who is it? What is it?
Eddie
Dude, it's the Godfather. Mark Long, he was the og and you got Paulie, who came from Big Brother. He's a big. I mean, people hate him. Like, I. I mean, there's. It's just gonna be great. I can't believe it's gonna be great.
Lunchbox
So you're coming up to interview them when?
Eddie
Friday afternoon, early evening.
Lunchbox
It'll be on. We'll play a little bit of it on the show. I'm sure next week. And then we'll do a full podcast.
Eddie
We'll play a lot of it. It's gonna be.
Lunchbox
We'll play. We'll play a little bit of it on the show. Maybe an hour's worth, I guess. Unless he really tells me. If he gives me the what's for? I'll probably give me voicemail number two. Ray.
Amy
Morning, studio. I was just calling to shout out my husband. We had an awful breaking point in December and he is 90 days sober from alcohol and gambling. I love him so much. He chooses every day for me and our one year old and for himself. You guys have been a beacon of light in our relationship separately and up together, and I just wanted to say thank you for that and if you could give him a big shout out. 90 days forever to go.
Lunchbox
Thanks, guys. That's awesome. Congratulations. One day at a time.
Bobby Bones
Really cool.
Lunchbox
Then those one days end up being 10, 20, 90. Good luck. That's really cool. Congratulations. Give me one more, Ray. Number one.
Amy
Hey, Bobby.
Lunchbox
I am a teacher and I've got a senior that I am just trying to help get over the finish line.
Amy
And graduate this year. It's my spring break, so this would.
Lunchbox
Kind of be the perfect opportunity to.
Amy
Maybe play a game and win some shoes. Potentially.
Lunchbox
I would love the opportunity. These shoes would be going towards my.
Amy
Student who's just had a rough school year. But I'm proud of him and I.
Lunchbox
Think he can finish strong. I was hoping to use this as a little bit of graduation motivation. I'm into it. Scuba, can you call and vet No, I believe her. But if it's my shoes, I only have one size. They're elevens. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I imagine she probably heard the show and made their size 11 call.
Lunchbox
And if so, let's bring her on.
Eddie
All right, cool.
Lunchbox
That'd be cool. I can show you guys. You know, the guy they called was like, my son's been saving up his money.
Eddie
Yeah.
Lunchbox
And I was like, let me just buy a pair of shoes, but just say it's from you. These are the ones I bought them, and they're size fours. I don't have kids, so I'm learning about size. There's size four, then there's size four. Big, which means big kid. The size four. They're size for, like, young kid. I almost bought the size four. Like, for, like, bait. Toddler.
Amy
Tiny.
Lunchbox
Yeah. So these are the Jordans that I bought him. I have the exact same pair, so I want that kid to buy his own. And the kid won't see this. These are the ones I bought him. Is these.
Amy
Oh, those are cute.
Lunchbox
Black and reds. I have these exact ones, and I love them. And so I'm gonna. We'll mail those over to him. Those are the ones.
Eddie
How old was the kid?
Lunchbox
11.
Bobby Bones
11. That's about 11 size.
Lunchbox
And he had. Yeah, but he. Wait, we knew his size.
Eddie
Yeah, I know. I just wore eight.
Lunchbox
Four or eight?
Amy
No, he's a four.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Amy
He's a four. Because I remember thinking, like, oh, my daughter's 17, and she's a four.
Lunchbox
Yeah. I mean, could be a.
Amy
Her foot's tiny.
Lunchbox
Small kid.
Eddie
I just thought, maybe you should have got a five, because they grow so quick.
Lunchbox
It's gonna be like, I'm not his dad.
Eddie
Month and a half, he's gonna be on those shoes.
Lunchbox
I'm not his dad. All I was told was the size and the size the kid was gonna buy, so I bought them.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that's how we do it. Two sizes bigger. Yep. Make it last for a year.
Lunchbox
Okay. You know, I didn't have that in me. I didn't know. I don't have kids, so.
Bobby Bones
Well, to make you feel better, he wears a three and a half now, so he will grow into a size four.
Eddie
See, there you go.
Bobby Bones
Bobby's already thinking about it.
Lunchbox
I wasn't. But, man, I did feel, like, shamed for no reason there.
Bobby Bones
You don't know.
Lunchbox
But, like, I want to help this kid.
Eddie
No, we were just trying to help the kid.
Amy
Even though his own money, and then.
Lunchbox
He'S like, I would have bought him one and a half we didn't buy him crap. What do you mean you to buy. Hey, cancel that real world thing. Yeah, cancel that. All right, let's do a mid roll. Ray, you good on that? Take a little break. All right, cool. Sonoro and iHeart's Mike Cultura podcast Network present the Setup, a new romantic comedy podcast starring Harvey Guillen and Christian Navaro. The setup follows a lonely museum curator searching for love. But when the perfect man walks into his life. Well, I guess I'm saying I like you, you like me. He actually is too good to be true.
Bobby Bones
This is a con.
Lunchbox
I'm conning you to get the gelato painting. We could do this together. To pull off this heist, they'll have to get close and jump into the deep end together.
Bobby Bones
That's a huge leap, Fernando, don't you think?
Lunchbox
After you, Chulito. But love is the biggest risk risk they'll ever take. Fernando's never going to love you as much as he loves this jobito. That painting is ours. Listen to the setup as part of the Mike Podcast network, available on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Cheekies
Hey, y'all, it's your girl, Cheekies. And I'm back with a brand new season of your favorite podcast, Cheekies and Chill. I'll be sharing even more personal stories with you guys, and I know a lot of people are gonna attack me. Why are you gonna go visit your dad? Your mom wouldn't be okay with it. I'm gonna tell you guys right now. I know my mother, and I know my mom had a very forgiving heart. That is my story on plastic surgery. This is my truth. I think the last time I cried like that was when I lost my mom like that, like, yelling. I was like, no. I was like, oh. And I thought, what did I do wrong? And as always, you'll get my exclusive take on topics like love, personal growth, health, family ties, and more. And don't forget, I'll also be dishing out my best advice to you on episodes of Dear Cheekies.
Lunchbox
So my fiance and I have been.
Bobby Bones
Together for 10 years.
Lunchbox
In the first two years of being together, I find out he is cheating on me, not only with women, but also with men. What should I do?
Cheekies
Okay, where do I start? That's not love. He doesn't love you enough. Because if he loved you, he'd be faithful. It's going to be an exciting year, and I hope that you can join me. Listen to Cheekies and Chill, Season 4 as part of The My Cultura podcast network, available on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Amy
Welcome to Pod of Rebellion, our new Star Wars Rebels Rewatch podcast. I'm Vanessa Marshall. Hi, I'm Tia Sircar.
Lunchbox
I'm Taylor Gray. And I'm John Lee Brody.
Amy
But you may also know Harrison Dullah, Specter 2, Sabine Wren, Specter 5, and.
Lunchbox
Ezra Bridger, Specter 6 from Star Wars Rebels. Wait, I wasn't on Star Wars Rebels.
Eddie
Am I in the right place?
Amy
Absolutely. Each week we're going to rewatch and discuss an episode from the series and.
Lunchbox
Share some fun behind the scenes stories. Sometimes we'll be visited by special guests like Steve bloom voices Zaborelio's Spectre 4, or Dante Bosco voices Jai Kel and many others.
Amy
Sometimes we'll even have a lively debate.
Lunchbox
And we'll have plenty of other fun surprises and trivia too. Oh, and me, well, I'm the lucky ghost crew stowaway who gets to help moderate and guide the discussion each week. Kind of like how Kanan guided Ezra and the ways of the Force. You see what I did there?
Amy
Nicely done, John.
Lunchbox
Thanks, Tia.
Amy
So hang on cause it's gonna be a fun ride.
Lunchbox
Cue the music. Listen to Potter Rebellion on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. We ready to fight? I'm ready to fight.
Bobby Bones
Is that.
Lunchbox
I thought it was. Oh, this is Fighting Words.
Bobby Bones
Okay, I'll put the hammer back. Hi, I'm George M. Johnson, a best.
Lunchbox
Selling author with the second most banned book in America. Now more than ever, we need to use our voices to fight back. And that's what we are doing on Fighting Words. We're not gonna let anyone silence us. That's the reason why they're banning books like yours, George. That's the reason why they're trying to.
Bobby Bones
Stop the teaching of black history.
Lunchbox
Queer history, any history that challenges the whitewashed norm or put us in a box. Black people have never ever depended on the so called mainstream to support us. That's why we are great. We are the greatest culture makers in world history. Listen to Fighting Words on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you you get your podcast. My name is Brendan Patrick Hughes, host of Divine Intervention. This is a story about radical nuns in combat boots and wild haired priests trading blows with J. Edgar Hoover in a hellbent effort to sabotage a war. J. Edgar Hoover was furious somebody violated the FBI and he wanted to bring the Catholic left to its knees. The FBI went around to all their neighbors and said to them, do you think these people are good Americans? It's got heists, tragedy, a trial of the century, and the God damnedest love story you've ever heard.
Amy
I picked up the phone, and my thought was, this is the most important.
Bobby Bones
Phone call I'll ever make in my life.
Amy
I couldn't believe it. I mean, Brendan, it was divine intervention.
Lunchbox
Listen to divine intervention on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Today's my birthday. I have a bunch of presents here. Should I open them right now?
Bobby Bones
Yes, please do that.
Eddie
No, I think we should wait.
Amy
Why?
Bobby Bones
Yes, please do it.
Lunchbox
I don't have to. If it's weird for. If it's weird for everybody, I don't have to, like, through the presents.
Eddie
That's weird for some of us.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I know.
Amy
Because he didn't get you anything.
Lunchbox
He never. I don't.
Amy
He's like, let's hold off until I get your gift.
Bobby Bones
But he might be the only one this year that didn't get you anything.
Lunchbox
But that's okay. I never expect him to get me anything. But I don't also don't have to open them here, but it could be. It's up to you guys.
Amy
It's your birthday. What do you want?
Lunchbox
Is it in bad taste to open them?
Amy
No, it's like a birthday party.
Bobby Bones
Whatever you want to do, man.
Lunchbox
Mike. Since I'm tied into my ears, cake and everything, Morgan gave me some vegan cupcakes, which is very nice of her, which. Which kind of sucks that I have to eat vegan stuff because Eddie and I went to an ice cream place and I'd have vegan. I. I just can't eat milk. It's.
Bobby Bones
How does that taste? It tastes good.
Lunchbox
It's. You're just happy you get to have some ice cream, but it doesn't taste.
Bobby Bones
Like real ice cream.
Lunchbox
I feel like they said 75.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Yeah. Then you can tell, like, while you're eating it, like, it's not real, but it's close.
Lunchbox
You don't. I mean, I don't cry like that. In my head. I would. I'm kind of just happy they have it because most places don't.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Okay, so this is to me from Raymundo. From Sizzin. There's a card. It says, happy birthday.
Eddie
My gosh. You. I'll got him a gift.
Lunchbox
HPD goat now. Okay. I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Oh, happy birthday, goat. You're the goat.
Lunchbox
Let's see what this is. Here it is. For those listening. It's a square.
Bobby Bones
Did you wrap that?
Lunchbox
Ray Bazer came in clutch on that one. Okay.
Bobby Bones
That looks very nice.
Lunchbox
Something from Dick's Sporting Goods. It is a courtside traction mat.
Bobby Bones
Oh, my kids have that.
Lunchbox
This is for, like, on the pickleball court. That or you can put it right at the entrance to your house and you can wear your shoes in your house again. Oh, my. There's no way.
Amy
No.
Lunchbox
Yeah. My wife would kill that. But I could definitely do it. Oh, I can do the gym. I'll do it in the gym because.
Amy
It gets all the stuff.
Lunchbox
Yeah, we track.
Bobby Bones
That's a good idea.
Lunchbox
We'll do it in the gym. We'll do the gym at my house. No chance, dude. We are a shoeless house. I have no choice in the matter. This is cool.
Bobby Bones
This just has, like, glue, right.
Lunchbox
It takes all the dust off sheet sticky pads. So you do your feet. Oh, and then you peel the. Right. Yeah. Eddie. All us athletes know. It's just perfect for the shoes. And you get that. Max traction.
Bobby Bones
That's it.
Lunchbox
Yeah. It's only once. Max traction. Okay. Max one down. Anybody want to volunteer?
Bobby Bones
There to be next to you, man.
Lunchbox
I'll do the.
Bobby Bones
That's mine. I apologize for the shark wrapping paper, but that's all I found in my wrapping paper collection.
Lunchbox
About that. Next up. This is from Eddie.
Bobby Bones
It's not a like. It's not like.
Lunchbox
No, no, no. There's. Well, you can't build up or build down. You're like doing a spoiler. You're doing a spoiler. No spoilers.
Bobby Bones
Build down is important because the build down is so hard to buy you anything.
Lunchbox
But again, that's why I said we don't have to do this here.
Bobby Bones
But I enjoyed this one.
Lunchbox
No spoilers. Okay. This is a picture of Joe Burrow with Eddie and I behind him.
Amy
Oh, that's.
Lunchbox
That's funny on tv. Fox.
Bobby Bones
That's pretty cool.
Lunchbox
That's pretty funny. That's a funny one.
Bobby Bones
Put it in your bedroom.
Lunchbox
That it will not go there. Why not? Nor will we be wearing shoes in our house. And not. Not because of me.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Lunchbox
I'll put that in my office. It's funny. Okay. Okay. How many more do I have over here? Two. Two more. Give me the red one. Same wrapping paper as Ray's. Well, this one's heavy. Who's this one from?
Amy
That's from me.
Lunchbox
Who said that?
Amy
Abby.
Lunchbox
Thanks, Abby.
Bobby Bones
Did you wrap that, Abby?
Amy
I did. We had the same paper. I was like, it's kind of funny.
Bobby Bones
It's interesting.
Lunchbox
A little card on your birthday. Remember? You can't teach an old dog new tricks, but you can't teach a new trick to an old dog.
Amy
You get it. The card. Because it's backwards, you usually open it.
Lunchbox
Oh, boy.
Amy
Right to left. And this one open left to right.
Eddie
She was so proud of that card. And you didn't give two cracks.
Amy
But you're left handed.
Lunchbox
My issue is I'm left handed, so.
Amy
So it was.
Lunchbox
That actually felt right instead of it feeling like it normally does. This is very heavy. Abby got me. It's a box. Oh, that's funny, Eddie.
Amy
I knew you could use it.
Lunchbox
That's funny.
Bobby Bones
Gold bars.
Lunchbox
But no, it's a humongous thing. Like some mornings I'm like hurting, so I'm like, I gotta get an energy drink. So she got me a whole box of these energy drinks.
Bobby Bones
Oh, that's cool.
Lunchbox
That's why it's so heavy, because it's liquid. Can I hand this to you?
Amy
Eddie said gold bars.
Bobby Bones
I thought they were gold bars.
Lunchbox
Oh, that'd have been awesome. I wonder if Kyle the gold guy got me something for your birthday. Yeah, okay. Okay. And then finally, lunchbox.
Bobby Bones
Finally.
Eddie
That's not for me, man. Ran out of time.
Lunchbox
Excuse me?
Eddie
I ran out of time you had all year.
Lunchbox
We were gone.
Eddie
Yeah, I mean, I just. Time gets away from you, man. When you got three kids.
Bobby Bones
I heard that he didn't get me anything for my birthday. It's okay.
Lunchbox
Oh, I expect nothing from him.
Bobby Bones
I know. I'm saying. Yeah, but he did get Amy something.
Amy
He did. I made that bird seed.
Lunchbox
Yeah, there's. There's.
Eddie
Yeah. You didn't have any bird feeders up at your house? Dude, like I would have got it for you.
Lunchbox
We still kind of feel like there's something up with that. But you know what? I don't want to question it.
Bobby Bones
Whatever.
Amy
We'll see.
Lunchbox
I don't want to question it.
Amy
Could have just been totally thoughtful.
Eddie
How do you use it yet?
Amy
Yeah.
Eddie
Liar. Why does she lie to my face? So rude.
Amy
Actually not lying. I have it out. I just haven't been able to enjoy the birds box.
Lunchbox
It looks like it's. It's a little bigger than a shoe box. I don't think it's shoes. Cuz it's a little puffy, a little soft. Scissors.
Bobby Bones
You need scissors, man. Oh, there you go.
Lunchbox
There you go. Straight like this.
Amy
Oh, wow.
Bobby Bones
A lot of tissue paper in there.
Lunchbox
It's a nice sweatshirt. Let me see what it is here.
Eddie
Oh, geez.
Lunchbox
It is a.
Bobby Bones
Huh?
Amy
You know?
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah. I do know what it is. Yes. I didn't know inside jokes where. But I know what the brand is. No, no, no. It's just. It's a nice sweatshirt. Oh, my company that I wear all the time.
Amy
Oh, yeah, I noticed that you wear that brand, so I googled it.
Lunchbox
That's very kind. Thank you for all the gifts, everybody.
Bobby Bones
You're welcome, man.
Lunchbox
Thanks for even just, you know, thinking about me.
Eddie
You're welcome, man. Happy birthday. I. I just. I mean, like, probably the most awkward gift is Morgan's because she only gave.
Lunchbox
Oh, you want to write the gifts now?
Eddie
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Eddie
Because there's how many people that work here. And she got six cupcakes. So how do we celebrate?
Amy
They're for Bobby.
Lunchbox
They're not for anybody else.
Eddie
He's not going to eat six cupcakes.
Lunchbox
He could if he wanted to.
Amy
He loves sweets.
Lunchbox
I do love sweets.
Bobby Bones
You can eat six cupcakes and they're.
Lunchbox
All vegan, so he can safely eat them. I'm going to put in my fridge.
Eddie
Good.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Lunchbox
I just to the stage now, too, of just thumbs upping people that say happy Birthday. That's cool, right?
Amy
Thumbs up. Can't. You should give it a heart.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I do a thank you in their name. That way they don't think it's like a template.
Lunchbox
I have a paste of it just to thank you with two exclamation points.
Eddie
I don't even think you need to reply to everybody that texts you.
Bobby Bones
I mean, that's a reply.
Amy
Why don't you just double tap heart, guys.
Eddie
150 texts and you got to sit there.
Lunchbox
I'm just doing copy and paste thank you with two exclamation points.
Bobby Bones
Put their name on it, though.
Eddie
What about on Facebook? Do you have to reply to everybody on Facebook?
Lunchbox
I don't get on Facebook.
Eddie
Well, you should. It's a great place.
Lunchbox
I don't have a one. I don't get on our show page because they're too mean. I. I don't have a page that I use. I just check on my sister sometimes on her page. She has like 20. I have, like 20 followers over there. Okay. So thank you for all the gifts, everybody. You're welcome.
Bobby Bones
Hey, happy birthday, dude.
Eddie
My birthday.
Lunchbox
Thank you. Appreciate that. Okay, I have some real notes here. All right? Now what I do on podcast notes. Okay? So this will not. This will have no spoilers in it whatsoever. My name is not Amy. I'm Bobby. So I want everybody to feel safe when I talk about this. I finished the first two seasons of White Lotus. That's how you declaring first two seasons.
Bobby Bones
That's exciting.
Eddie
You were smoking it, dude.
Lunchbox
Traveling a lot. Flew back and forth to California. Watched a few before. The third season is happening now. I think I've watched the first episode of the third season.
Eddie
I need to get on the third season, so.
Lunchbox
And my wife has been watching it. The only reason I'm trying to catch up is because whenever I was about to watch Squid Games season two, episode one, she was like, I'll watch it with you. But I was like, you didn't watch any of season one. It was like 12 episodes. She's like, I'll grind it out over a weekend. And she just grinded it out.
Bobby Bones
Good for her.
Lunchbox
Like, respect. And so I was trying to grind through this. I don't like how it makes me feel. I don't mind.
Bobby Bones
Explain that.
Lunchbox
I don't mind awkwardness. I don't mind cringe. I love awkward. I just generally don't like being in people's business, even in real life. Who watches White Lotus?
Eddie
I can totally understand what you're saying right now about how you don't like being up. You feel like you're up in people's business and it's a little like.
Bobby Bones
But like weird.
Lunchbox
It's not even about the TV show part of it. And like, I'm following. I just. I don't want to be in anybody's business.
Eddie
That's what a show is.
Bobby Bones
You're watching somebody's business.
Lunchbox
No, but not really. This.
Amy
This is because, like, you're in their hotel room.
Lunchbox
No, no, no.
Eddie
This is deep business like this.
Lunchbox
It just feels. It's gross. Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Oh, it's definitely gross.
Eddie
Feels dirty business.
Lunchbox
I don't like.
Amy
I'm not gonna say anything.
Bobby Bones
Don't, don't.
Lunchbox
And it's not a show that I'm like aching to get to. No. When it's on, I'll watch it. And I'm like, okay, it's. Yeah, but I like, have no interest in like, I can't wait to get on. Watch other episode. Wow.
Bobby Bones
See on the, like the third season, like, I'm just, I check is like, is it new? Is it out? Is it out?
Lunchbox
Well, maybe the third season is going to be something.
Bobby Bones
No, it was like that with me for every single season.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Yeah. I'm not a dramatic in people's business gossip type person anyway. Like, I don't. I just don't care. And so this is just like what? I don't like. It's like watching a documentary on mayonnaise and onions.
Amy
Really?
Lunchbox
Yeah. I mean, I did it, but it's good, right?
Eddie
Like, it's.
Lunchbox
I get why people like it.
Eddie
Yeah. It's well written.
Bobby Bones
Have you thought about quitting it?
Lunchbox
I'm trying to catch for my wife because she did that for squid games.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lunchbox
But.
Bobby Bones
But if you had the choice, I.
Lunchbox
Would not watch another episode. No way.
Eddie
Wow. Man.
Lunchbox
I give no craps. The only thing that I think is kind of interesting because I've only been through one episode of season three, is that I think Baby Billy's in every show he's in is awesome.
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Lunchbox
He plays. His range is wild.
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Lunchbox
And so it's so cool to, like.
Bobby Bones
See him and not think, that's baby Billy. Like, I thought it for a second, but after a while, like, I don't think that's Baby Billy. And most actors, like, who's the one? Joaquin Phoenix. I'm always like, oh, it's Joaquin Phoenix playing someone.
Lunchbox
Mike, you watch that show? Yeah. You love it?
Bobby Bones
I love it.
Lunchbox
I love that uncomfortability.
Amy
I mean, I don't mind.
Lunchbox
Uncomfortable. I like. And the music, like, the Office makes people cringe. I love Scott's tot. It's my favorite episode.
Eddie
Oh, so funny.
Amy
So I guess, I don't know, I'm just having a hard time understanding what business you think you're in. Like, I get like, lunchbox feels you on this. I don't feel it. I feel like whenever you're watching a show, you're all up in someone's.
Lunchbox
It's very. It's everybody's most personal dynamic.
Amy
Okay.
Lunchbox
Yeah, everyone's. Well, that's what it is. The show is like, let's get into everybody's most personal dynamic. They don't know. It's just different people. So it's characters.
Amy
The mom in season three is so funny. I love her.
Eddie
I haven't seen.
Lunchbox
I don't. Don't say anything else.
Amy
That's not. I'm not.
Lunchbox
It's just about you.
Amy
I'm not giving anything away. I feel like I can say that. Parker Pezzi.
Lunchbox
Yeah. She's awesome. I used to love her in the old. The old documentary. The old mockumentaries. Go ahead.
Bobby Bones
Days of Confused. That's what I remember in.
Lunchbox
Oh, no, no, I don't.
Bobby Bones
Can I say what I told you yesterday and blew your mind about the character?
Lunchbox
I would just say season one.
Bobby Bones
What?
Lunchbox
Because if you. If you say that, then.
Bobby Bones
Don't worry don't worry about it. We'll move on.
Lunchbox
No, I. This is what you can say without it being a spoiler. In season one, there's a character that's played by the guy that was Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite, and it blew my mind.
Bobby Bones
Bobby didn't know that that was Uncle Rico.
Amy
Oh, I'll have to Google it, because I don't think I did either.
Lunchbox
Wow. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
The first time I saw him, like, oh, wow, look, it's Uncle Rico.
Lunchbox
I finished, you know, it was all done. I gave Eddie an update where I was, and he goes, you know, that's Uncle Rico. And I was like, what the crap? I did not recognize that actor as that person. But. So season one, that's that. Yeah. Hey. Your wife has joined the chat on Instagram Live and she says, let it be known I have not asked him.
Amy
To go on this journey.
Lunchbox
She didn't ask me.
Amy
You're just doing it out of the kindness of your heart. And so she wanted to reiterate, this.
Lunchbox
Is not for me, but it is for her.
Bobby Bones
This is interesting. Caitlin's watching this, but she never asked.
Lunchbox
Me to do it. I never said please. I know she never said, please do it, but she was watching it. And I would, like, just leave the room. And she was watching because she liked the show. And so I thought she did this for squid games for me. So I'm going to try to do this so I can at least watch, like, the finale with her.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
And that's sweet of you because I.
Bobby Bones
Don'T even do that crap.
Amy
Or could you be building up, like, you are doing this so that way when something comes up that you want her to watch, you'll be like, remember, I watched White.
Lunchbox
Already owed her. I feel like I already owed her. So, like, I'm just trying to get back to even at this point. And also there weren't that many episodes.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Pretty quick.
Lunchbox
But yeah, she likes it. The guy's name's John Gries.
Bobby Bones
Who? Uncle Rico. It's awesome.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And that's arranged too.
Lunchbox
Do you know how old he is? 67.
Bobby Bones
He looks old in this show.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Baby Billy's awesome. We watched new episode last night of Gemstones. Did you watch it?
Eddie
No, I haven't watched it yet.
Lunchbox
That shows. It's the best.
Eddie
It's phenomenal.
Lunchbox
It's the best. So, yeah, that's where we are, TV wise. I have a friend that watched the Day of the Jackal. Finished the whole thing. We had dinner with him last week. We were like, you should watch Day of the Jackal on Paramount. It has Eddie Redmayne in it. And they messaged me last night and they were like, it's one of the greatest. We couldn't stop watching it. And now it's not Paramount, it's on Peacock.
Bobby Bones
That's quite the treat when someone that you. You recommend a show and someone hits you back with like, thank you, that's so good.
Lunchbox
Oh, no, I quite treat. I gave them a good show. Or maybe my wife did. No.
Bobby Bones
And then they tell you that.
Lunchbox
Yeah, but the trait was us presenting them.
Amy
Now that Bobby knows that Caitlin's on Instagram, he goes, or maybe my wife.
Lunchbox
She'S the one that put it onto me. But who knows who said it at.
Amy
Dinner, Bobby's like, and I recommended it. I'm moving my wife. I'm just gonna go ahead and cover my faces. Since Caitlin's on Instagram, she probably isn't.
Lunchbox
On anymore if I know her.
Amy
Though she did say hi, Eddie too.
Bobby Bones
Oh, nice.
Lunchbox
Thank you. I want to spend the next few minutes talk about how great a wife I have.
Bobby Bones
Just randomly.
Lunchbox
Yeah. For no reason was.
Amy
No, you already had it. I already saw it.
Lunchbox
Yeah. We cheat on that. Yeah. Yeah. For no reason whatsoever. And it's like a 20 minute deal, so go for it. I'd like to start now. She logs off. All right. You ever see those TikToks that are like, all right, this message is for so and so and so and so only. And then they're like, yeah, okay. Now that they're gone, everybody else is gone. You ever see those?
Bobby Bones
I haven't seen those.
Lunchbox
Okay. She said she's gonna join more often. Yeah, right.
Bobby Bones
She's just watching for your birthday, dude.
Amy
That's what I was thinking. I was like, is this like a birthday gift?
Lunchbox
Not only that. So there was a. A message between some friends this morning. And, like, my wife gasses me up in, like, real life, human loving ways, like actual healthy ways of, like, family and deeper ways. But my wife doesn't gas me up. If I say something that she doesn't think is funny, she ain't laughing. And it's really hard to get her to laugh because she's funnier than I am. And so earlier this morning, got a text from a couple friends and they said, there's four of us on there. It's me and a couple of our friends that are married. They say, happy birthday, Bobby. We love you, buddy. And I responded to them. Thank you. Thank you. I wouldn't be here without you guys. And this award goes out to all who believed in me and all who believed and had birthdays before me. Good night. It was one of the first texts of the morning, so I had plenty of energy. And they go, ha, ha, ha ha. And then Kaylin actually hits two smiley, laughing, crying emojis. And then I respond, that's how you know it's my birthday. She never laughs at stuff like that. And so I screensaved that, and I'm gonna frame it and put it in the old room there. Okay. A study found that men have worse hearing than women. How do you think that's selective?
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah, because we always forget what they say.
Eddie
We don't pay attention. We tune them out.
Bobby Bones
Like, my wife's like, did you not hear me? I'm like, huh? No, I didn't.
Lunchbox
I probably lifted the men, though, a bit because I always hear what my wife says. She's the best. A plus. And so I really like it when she says stuff.
Amy
Her hearing is phenomenal.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Yeah, her hearing. Her hearing is good. But my wife, honestly. And this is not me exaggerating, because I think a couple of you guys can back me up. She has a photographic memory, which is kind of annoying sometimes because she remembers everything. And she could lie about remembering something. And when. Because I would go, she. Well, you do remember. She can hear a song once, know every word to it. She can read words back. You could say a word to her. And she's done this before on social media. Like, you could say thesaurus, and she could just look out in her head and spell it backward.
Bobby Bones
Whoa. That's crazy, because I don't even know how to spell the straightforward.
Lunchbox
But she's done that on the show way back in the day, right? You guys have seen it. I'm not making that up.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, she did that one time.
Lunchbox
She can just see it in her head, whatever the sentence or word is, and it's like it's written in front of her and she can spell it backward. And different things have colors attached to them. She has like a. She has like a weird brain. Like, different times and hours have colors attached to them.
Amy
There's another thing she does, like, when she's watching tv, but I don't know if she's talked about it, so I guess I don't. Would it be weird if I said it?
Lunchbox
I don't know what it is.
Eddie
Yeah, that's her stuff.
Amy
That's her thing.
Lunchbox
It's kind of her stuff. Hipaa.
Amy
Yeah, I don't wanna. But it. It's interesting to me. Like, really.
Lunchbox
I Don't know what it is.
Amy
It's hard. Yeah, you do.
Lunchbox
It's your risk.
Amy
Yeah.
Eddie
It's your friendship at stake.
Lunchbox
Oh, you can say that.
Amy
Oh, okay. So whenever she's watching a show, she's typing it. Like, everything they're saying. She types every word. Like, sometimes her fingers will even kind of move. And then if she makes a typo mistake, she has to backspace. Like, if. If the character is like, you know, I went to the mall. And she spells mall.
Lunchbox
Like, not on a computer, in the air.
Amy
She'll have to.
Lunchbox
Oh, fake in her head.
Bobby Bones
Like a typewriter.
Amy
No, no. It's. It's all in her mind. But. And her fingers don't always have to move, but sometimes they do.
Bobby Bones
That's probably part of, like, visualizing the world.
Amy
Yeah, it's probably just how brilliant her mind is.
Lunchbox
The.
Amy
So I'm gonna start doing that.
Bobby Bones
She's like, the Queen's gambit, where she, like, envisions the move.
Lunchbox
It's just. She just remembers everything. It's.
Bobby Bones
I remember crap.
Lunchbox
Okay, I'll do one more. I don't think she would care. I don't think she would care. When she reads finished. She reads books like crazy. Like. Like, gobbles them up. Start book and book. Start book in book. Chester. The last page out loud.
Amy
Hmm. That's just.
Eddie
Why is that?
Lunchbox
I don't know. I don't question. I leave the rooms awkward.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you don't want to hear the last page.
Lunchbox
Maybe it's, like, because it's in case I read it.
Bobby Bones
Right.
Amy
That's how she pays respect to the book. Like.
Lunchbox
Like watching the credits. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know. But all those, like, quirks I wish I had because she's, like, in a space intellectually. She gets all the lucky weird stuff. I'm over here just with anxiety and neurosis, you know?
Amy
But those are also. Have been a gift for you, too.
Lunchbox
Yeah, but I can't like, read words backward or remember a whole song after I hear it once.
Amy
Also an impairment.
Bobby Bones
That would be cool.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Mine's an impairment, but.
Amy
But also a gift.
Lunchbox
I live impaired. No, no.
Amy
A gift. This is not, like Parker. Funniest.
Lunchbox
I've only seen one.
Bobby Bones
Decent people. She's awesome.
Amy
She's so good. I love it so much.
Bobby Bones
I went, are they decent?
Lunchbox
Someone tried to pay Amy with Monopoly money when she bought. Sold something. Marketplace.
Amy
Yes. Okay.
Lunchbox
Which is weird.
Amy
Weird. So they show up and it's. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Is this real?
Eddie
Yes.
Amy
Promise. Follow me. Stick with me. So it's $50. And normally I do Venmo, and this person was like, no, cash. I'm like, okay, fine. So I go. And they bust out the $50 of Monopoly money, and they have a straight face, and they're acting like it's totally real. And I'm like, what? This is awfully money. And they're like, ah, just kidding.
Bobby Bones
Oh, it's a joke.
Amy
And then they gave me the.
Lunchbox
You don't know them. That's not a joke you do with someone you don't know when you're selling.
Amy
Because they said they do. They. They said they do it with every single thing they buy off of Facebook.
Eddie
That's funny, actually.
Amy
So funny. Like, they love seeing people's reactions. And it's not like they held it for so long that it got awkward, but it was. I was questioning them for a minute, and then they were like, ah. Like, I kind of like it.
Eddie
I kind of like it that they do it with everybody. That's funny now.
Amy
They said it's their thing.
Eddie
The more you talk about it, the funnier it's getting.
Bobby Bones
That's like Lunchbox. He played golf with a dude with. That had an exploding golf ball.
Eddie
Oh, my gosh.
Lunchbox
I've seen those.
Eddie
No, no, no. This guy was the slowest golfer in the world. He was so annoying. It had taken so long. We'd been out there for almost five hours because the guy was so slow. And he gets the 18th tee box, and he puts it on the tee. Oh, my goodness. I hit it so hard. And I'm. Okay, good. Now hit your golf ball. Goes to his bag, puts a golf ball on tee, does another exploding golf ball. He does it twice, and I'm just like, okay, once, fine, twice. You're an idiot.
Bobby Bones
Hey, that's funny. Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
No, I think where it gets maybe.
Eddie
On the number one tee funny, but after taking five hours, not funny.
Lunchbox
Where it gets funny is if you keep doing it family guest style and you do, like, seven in a row. Like, it's. It gets so unfunny that it becomes funny again because you just continue to do it. But yeah. 1. Okay, funny. 2. Not funny. 3. Okay, dude, stop. 4. I'm about to kill you. 5. Okay, so I'm gonna be funny again.
Bobby Bones
What's funny, though, is that this guy was alone. Lunchbox was with his buddy. Like, this guy was alone.
Eddie
I know this guy. Oh, my gosh.
Lunchbox
A couple of the notes I have before we go. Amy, my brain gift that you gave me.
Amy
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Am I able to do it?
Amy
You are. It's ready to go. It took them a minute. Cause I guess they switched owners or somewhere in the process over the years.
Lunchbox
And so what do I do when I go there?
Amy
They were able to access it and.
Lunchbox
Am I naked, kid?
Amy
No.
Lunchbox
Can I be?
Eddie
It's up to you.
Lunchbox
Okay. Is it optional?
Amy
I think you were. You wear clothes and we just have to get it all switched over fully to like, your name, your number. But I don't want to give them that. That's up to you.
Lunchbox
I hear you, but what do I. I don't understand even what I'm doing. I go, I sit in a chair. They use those clamps to hold my eyes open.
Amy
No, they're not going to do that. They're going to hook electrodes up to your brain and you'll probably watch something and then like, I don't know how long the process, but you can make. No, some places. I don't know exactly how this place does it, but some places you can watch Netflix, like, or you're. You can watch something else. Like, it's not. It's nothing.
Lunchbox
Because they're monitoring my brain.
Amy
Right. You're not gonna feel any sensation or pain to my knowledge.
Lunchbox
And then. But how. How does it help me?
Bobby Bones
Well, that's a long pause because I.
Amy
Think it helps everybody differently. It depends on what you're. Okay, so put it results. And then let me put it this way. Yeah, because your brain might have different things going on, but how something similar was explained to me once is. It's like when your heart needs to be shocked back into rhythm, like a fibrillator type thing. So it's sort of like resetting your brain to function how it's supposed to. Like, all of us, our hearts are beating in different ways and doing different things. So it's going to come in and do what needs to be done for you, and they'll program it to that and sort of of shock your brain back into functioning like one of those.
Lunchbox
Elon Musk chips they put in. All of a sudden you know everything.
Amy
No, I know they're not going to insert a chip, will they? And then also, I have not personally been here to the place.
Eddie
Oh my gosh.
Bobby Bones
I wouldn't do this, man. I wouldn't do it.
Lunchbox
Am I going to come out circumcised again?
Amy
Like, I've gone to other places, but when I bought this for you a long time ago, I. I believe it was Amy Grant. I first heard talking about it and I just thought, oh, this might be something that Bobby Would really enjoy checking out and just kind of.
Lunchbox
So what do I do? I just call him and say I'm me. Do you give me a number to have a contact?
Amy
Yeah, I'll give you the number and contact and then we'll get you square and then you'll make your appointment. And I'm sure on the phone once you make the appointment, they'll say, this is what time you need to get here. This is what you need to wear. And this is how, this is how long you need to be prepared for. But it's all, all five sessions are, have been paid for.
Lunchbox
I'm doing it and I'm appreciative. Is it close to my house?
Cheekies
Yes.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Bobby Bones
You think you can get your brain to normal in five sessions?
Amy
Well, that's what they, that was the recommended, I'm gonna say the time I.
Lunchbox
Go to the dentist and the nitrous oxide doesn't work at a normal level for me because I'm, I'm anxious, I'm wound tight and I'm like, turn it up, turn it up. You know, like we're almost at the top. Turn it up. It doesn't work. It doesn't work. So I'm gonna have them like shock, shock me as hard as possible in my brain, right? Like turn it up.
Amy
But like they, I think if you're high, right?
Lunchbox
I'm, send me in, they show me an ink blot and then they shock. Yeah, yeah, yeah, shock me.
Bobby Bones
It's a little scary, man.
Amy
They're not shocking you. I mean they are putting electrodes on your brain. But like, do we want to say, like, what's the problem?
Lunchbox
Okay. Ultra. Look it up.
Amy
What?
Bobby Bones
Severance. What is that?
Lunchbox
No, Mkultra. Look it up.
Amy
Okay.
Bobby Bones
No, I'm not going.
Eddie
Don't do that, Eddie.
Amy
It's going to support. No, I went to their website.
Lunchbox
Look it up.
Bobby Bones
Machine Gun Kelly.
Lunchbox
No, not, it's not a rapper.
Amy
Okay, here you go.
Lunchbox
Go ahead.
Amy
They say their tagline ace, we help your brain, help you love it. It supports your brain's natural ability to heal and achieve higher levels of well being and performance throughout your life. Because your brain is your central command center. And when it's overactive in certain areas, you might not sleep well or perform your best. So I'm sure at the time that I bought this, I was thinking about your sleep because we've. That's something you've been working on for a long time. Also anxiety, different things. Like, so if it's hyperactive in one area, it's it might be sort of asleep in another area. And it's like, oh, let's calm down this area and wake up this area. And then you're functioning the way your brain was meant to be. And it's more a. Like if your brain's like all. All the different parts of your brain are like a little ecosystem and we need them to all work together.
Lunchbox
If I come in with a new accent, like sometimes people hit their head and wake up like Brooke, jolly good.
Bobby Bones
Or you play piano.
Lunchbox
Really? Dude, that'd be awesome.
Bobby Bones
So MK Ultra, it was an experiment.
Lunchbox
Go ahead.
Bobby Bones
By the CIA back in the day, in the 50s.
Lunchbox
Go ahead.
Bobby Bones
I don't know. They would shock develop procedures and identify drugs that could be used during interrogations to weaken individuals.
Lunchbox
Mind control. They used lsd.
Bobby Bones
Psychological torture.
Lunchbox
They tested people like crazy. Like really, really bad. Is there a documentary on that? There's. Well, there's a film called MK Ultra and I believe the Unabomber was at one of the people they mess with.
Bobby Bones
Kaczynski?
Lunchbox
Yeah, Tech Kaczynski.
Eddie
Really?
Lunchbox
We have to look that up? Yeah. MKUltra. It was a bad deal, dude.
Amy
Oh, look. On their website I have a testimonial Amy Grant's experience also. Who's you know? Bob Parsons?
Lunchbox
I know Bob Barker. I know Michael Parsons.
Amy
He's the CEO of GoDaddy and PXG Golf. He's.
Lunchbox
Before he was the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski was a mind control. Oh, I got hit with the paywall. Dang. We almost got it. We almost got it. Till said you gotta pay with a mind control test subject. We got it. We went back to it before I threw up the block.
Bobby Bones
I do that too.
Lunchbox
Yeah. And now. Now we're getting hit with pop ups. Okay, a couple other things for before we go. Yeah. Unabomber returns Spotlight to Harvard mind control study. Ted Kaczynski, the anarchist and so called Unabomber who died in federal prison. He died.
Eddie
Yeah, he did.
Lunchbox
He was a boy genius to terrorist. Going from star mathematics student to a feared assailant who targeted academic science and industrialized society as a whole. He went to Harvard at 16 on a scholarship. Like super genius skipped 6th and 11th grades. He was studied by the psychologist there because he was so smart. And so the psycho, the psychiatrist was backed by the CIA and so they didn't. The study they did on him they think was the MK Ultra stuff.
Eddie
But why would they do it to him if he's a genius?
Lunchbox
See, that's even they'd want to test it on all types of people.
Eddie
Oh, thank you. You know, you figure dumb people, it's like if we shock him, it's not really gonna.
Lunchbox
It's not just shocking. It was mind control. It was keeping their eyes open. It was LSD doing drugs with them, showing them things over and over again, and it was right.
Eddie
But why would you want to waste a smart person when you could use a dumb person?
Lunchbox
I don't think it's wasting. I don't think anybody's a waste. I think they want to use different types of people. Thank you, man. So.
Eddie
Well, I'm not saying dumb people are.
Bobby Bones
I mean, you said waste a dumb person.
Lunchbox
Well, I mean, like some would say, then they should have used you.
Eddie
Well, I'm a lot smarter than a lot of people.
Lunchbox
True.
Eddie
I mean, I graduated top 50% of my high school class, so there's 50.
Bobby Bones
But that doesn't mean anything.
Eddie
50.
Lunchbox
But it was like, if you're comparing yourself to someone like Ted Kaczynski, who was a genius who went to Harvard at 16 and skipped grades and was so smart they wanted to test his brain to see if they could break him. Like, why didn't they just use somebody like you instead?
Eddie
Probably because they're like, this idiot won't break.
Bobby Bones
I don't get that.
Eddie
Maybe they think it's harder to break a idiot because idiots don't know better.
Bobby Bones
I think it'd be easier to mind control an idiot than a smart person.
Lunchbox
I think so, too.
Bobby Bones
That's what I would think.
Lunchbox
Yeah, me too. Ray wants to know if I'm mad at Kane Brown over something that happened. Oh, I'm. I'm not mad at Kane Brown for any reason whatsoever. Kane's my friend. But why? What happened? Have you seen on TV the commercial he's in for Wayfair? I'm not. It's him. NBA star Blake Griffin, Kane Brown's wife. And they're all just playing charades. And so I was wondering, because you're with Wayfair, people on the show are with Wayfair. He probably got selected over you for the country demographic. I mean, I guess. I don't. Sure. Okay. And also the talent scout, he's like way more famous though. Yeah. They probably heard him on our show and said, ah, he's funny, great personality. We should put him on that Wayfair commercial. A lot of speculation there on that. Heard him on the show. I thought you and Kaylin been great on the commercial. Ah, thanks. Now. We would have been, but I got an audio clip from it. Of Kane just to rub it in or what it said to rub it in. I love Kane. That's like.
Eddie
Yeah, let's hear. Let's hear how good Kane did. See if Bobby could do better.
Lunchbox
Quick. Go ahead. This one. Rocking chair, velvet top.
Amy
The Chase lounger.
Lunchbox
This is charades.
Bobby Bones
Loungers are off limits.
Lunchbox
No, there's laying in bed, chillin. Oh, good. No, Kane and I are actually close. I text him the other day and I was like, hey, I need to come to your house and do something. He was like, all right, cool. Sitting that wayfair chair that he got probably for free. No, not Morgan's. Oh, hers is still sitting in the corner.
Bobby Bones
You need me to put it together?
Lunchbox
I don't think I can read this is not a. I can't read this. But he asked something and I was like, hey, I need. I need to come and check that out. And he was like, come on. You know where I left. Get over here. But no, I'm not mad at him. Yeah, I was to check out the.
Amy
Way for a bit.
Lunchbox
You want to try?
Amy
Is it.
Lunchbox
I can let you see it. No, I'll let you see their text.
Amy
It's fine.
Lunchbox
It's his info. It's him. I don't want to share anybody's anybody's stuff if it's not. But no, no, no. Ken and I are cool. We're cooler than cool. We're ice cold. What's that from? All right, all right, all right, all right. Yeah. Good job.
Bobby Bones
Hey, ladies.
Amy
Hey.
Lunchbox
Yeah, two final things. Amy's playing in a celebrity golf tournament.
Bobby Bones
You're playing?
Amy
Yes, I was invited to play and.
Lunchbox
She'S asking if she'd play left handed since she's ambidextrous.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Yes.
Amy
Well, what culture, what kind of clubs that I would want? Because they'll have them ready to go. And I just felt like if I asked for left handed, that might be a little high maintenance.
Lunchbox
I mean, I ask for left all the time. They'll ask.
Amy
But you are left. Yes, I would just ask for right, but then I'm not gonna be able to show what I can do.
Lunchbox
Just say half and half if you're gonna screw them. Go half and half.
Bobby Bones
Hold on. Are you missing work for this? Cause I always have to turn down these celebrity turnouts.
Amy
No, actually that was the first thing thought. But it's Walker hazes for his Be a Craig foundation and it starts at 1:00pm oh, that's good. So perfect. Cuz I thought, well, we can't do it during the morning show.
Lunchbox
And then why are you putting her out there like that? No, I'm just saying.
Eddie
Who invited you?
Amy
Well, Walker.
Eddie
Wow, that's weird.
Bobby Bones
I have to turn down a lot, man. Cuz they're always like oh, shotgun, start at 9am like I can't do that.
Lunchbox
But then why would you just call her out like that though?
Bobby Bones
And because I was, I was going to wait for the I'm not feeling good, but I was going to get ahead.
Amy
So I. You think I would say I'm not feeling good and then I would show up at a country music related golf tournament and think that Bobby would never find out about it?
Bobby Bones
Maybe you take that chance.
Lunchbox
One final thing. Eddie's gonna try something that I think we have all tried in our histories of doing this show and unsuccessful, but I think we've all tried it at some point. Which is the new morning routine.
Bobby Bones
I could do it.
Eddie
Of working out before work.
Bobby Bones
I can do it.
Lunchbox
We've all been there.
Bobby Bones
Really? Every single one of you guys. How long did it last for you guys? Guys?
Amy
Oh, let's see. Back in 2006. I know I at least went a week.
Lunchbox
Yeah, like two and a half weeks.
Amy
I mean it's tough, man. Yeah, I was, we. I was at 24 Hour Fitness at like 3:30 in the morning.
Lunchbox
She left her wedding ring there or.
Amy
Something once and the only other person there was the guy vacuuming. And I was so nervous that he vacuumed it up. But then I found it on the elliptical which I don't even know why I took it off. Oh, I think because it's the elliptical with the hand things. And my ring was bothering my finger so I took it off and then what's the plan?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, the idea is to go running before I work. Like and like it's wake up, go run, do the whole process of maybe some stretches, a smoothie, you know, that whole thing.
Lunchbox
And I think why not journal too?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, that wouldn't be a bad idea.
Eddie
Like how far are you gonna run? Like 10 minutes? Or are you running like 40 minutes?
Bobby Bones
No, I'd run like 45 minutes.
Eddie
Oh my gosh.
Amy
What?
Lunchbox
It's fun at first, but you wake up too early. It just is very inconvenient. Unless you're already waking up with that time to spare.
Bobby Bones
No chance.
Lunchbox
Yeah, then I don't do that.
Amy
I hope 45 minutes also. Why are you putting. This is like a lot. Like you're doing a lot at once. You should just. At that therapy thing I went to with my kids and my ex husband, they Their big thing is like 2 degrees of change and 2 degrees at a time and 2 degrees of time. Because if you go 20, 50, 1, 80, like, you're gonna crap out because you're gonna be like, oh, this is too much change at once. But if you just go two degrees at a time, it's still a lot and it will add up.
Bobby Bones
Well, I would start with a walk.
Lunchbox
No, she's not.
Amy
I'm just. You said smoothing 45 degrees.
Bobby Bones
Stretches, stretches. Maybe a little Bible time.
Lunchbox
Yeah, that's all great. I hope you set aside all this time for all this devotional time. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Eddie
You're gonna go to bed at 4 o'clock in the afternoon so you can get up and 10.
Lunchbox
Like, do it. You need to go through the process.
Bobby Bones
I'm going to do it. So I'll let you know how long I last. Dude, what do I do? The ent prove you guys wrong.
Lunchbox
I would love it.
Amy
That would be great.
Lunchbox
You show we're stronger than we are.
Bobby Bones
I'll let you know.
Lunchbox
Did he get it from that guy on Tik Tok who went viral with this morning? Oh, when he does his face in the eyes. Oh, I. I thought about banana.
Amy
What?
Bobby Bones
I'm not gonna do the banana, but the ice. The ice bowl. That sounds like a good idea.
Lunchbox
That guy spends more time setting up his phone to record that stuff than he does his whole day.
Bobby Bones
True.
Lunchbox
Yeah. You started getting on zoom calls.
Bobby Bones

Release Date: April 2, 2025
1. Eddie’s Crazy LA Story
The episode kicks off with Eddie sharing an intense experience he had while visiting Los Angeles for a few days to fill in for Rich Eisen on ESPN's NFL Network.
At [03:05], Eddie recounts how he and his colleague were taking an Uber to Venice Beach when their driver acted suspiciously, leading them into a tense encounter with a Hispanic man who aggressively honked and yelled at them.
Eddie: "We're in LA. Like, yeah, I'm scared." ([04:17])
The situation escalated to a frightening level as the driver and the man behind a truck seemed confrontational, causing significant anxiety for both Eddie and Bobby. They later navigate through the chaotic environment of downtown LA, discussing the prevalence of graffiti and unfinished buildings, which adds to the city's gritty atmosphere.
Bobby: "LA is crazy. There’s a skyscraper downtown that’s just been left unfinished with graffiti all over it." ([06:39])
2. Controversy Over the Chair Contest
Transitioning from Eddie’s story, the conversation shifts to a recent controversy involving a chair contest hosted on the show. Lunchbox addresses the backlash received for not setting clear rules about tool usage during the contest, specifically when a contestant used a drill, which was not prohibited.
Lunchbox: "I could have stepped in and said, hey, nah, man, you can't use your drill." ([09:22])
Bobby: "Hate the game, not the player." ([09:40])
The hosts discuss the importance of rule enforcement and the challenges of moderating live events without explicit guidelines. Lunchbox defends his actions by stating that since no rule was broken explicitly, he chose not to intervene initially but acknowledges the feedback and responsibility that comes with being a host.
3. Sexual Harassment Accusations
The episode delves into a sensitive topic where Lunchbox admits having unintentionally created an uncomfortable environment for Morgan by giving her compliments that may have been misconstrued.
Lunchbox: "I might have sexually harassed her. Whatever the crazy rules are now." ([10:27])
Amy: "I was testing you to see how you felt on the opposite side." ([10:57])
The discussion highlights the complexities of workplace interactions and the evolving standards around acceptable behavior. They talk about the importance of understanding boundaries and how even benign compliments can be misinterpreted in the current social climate.
4. Hotmail Email Discussion
A lighter yet relatable topic emerges around the use of Hotmail, with Eddie expressing his preference for the outdated email service despite its declining popularity.
Eddie: "I still use Hotmail because everybody still has it. I don't want to go tell everybody, hey, man, I changed my email." ([17:38])
Lunchbox: "Hotmail gets a bad rap. It still does. It brings my email to me. It sends email out." ([17:49])
The hosts debate the practicality and social perceptions of using legacy email services. Amy explains that Hotmail is generally not preferred for professional or personal use anymore, primarily due to its association with spam and scams.
Amy: "It has a reputation for being associated with spams and scams." ([18:12])
Despite this, Lunchbox defends his choice by emphasizing the simplicity and broad accessibility of Hotmail, highlighting the challenges of transitioning to newer platforms without losing contact with existing correspondents.

Lunchbox: "I don't want to be in anybody's business. I just don't care." ([49:26])
Amy shares her experience watching "Day of the Jackal" and speculates on the psychological impacts of shows and the media's portrayal of events like Amanda Knox's trial.
Amy: "I talked with Amanda Knox for an interview that was on the Bobby cast, and she was awesome." ([27:03])
The hosts also touch upon the MK Ultra conspiracy theories, discussing historical experiments and their implications.
Lunchbox: "Ted Kaczynski was a boy genius turned terrorist due to mind control experiments." ([67:05])
7. Final Banter and Recommendations
