Bobby Bones
The Bobby Bone show. My niece is going to prom in on April 25th.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, what's today? That's a popular prom date, man.
Bobby Bones
I'M telling you, we got it hooked up when it comes. What's a popular prom day?
Co-host or Male Panelist
April 25. Because that's when some proms are here as well. And that's also my daughter's 19th birthday.
Bobby Bones
Damn, that's crazy.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I know. It is crazy. So it's just in my head because I know there's a few proms that night here, and your niece is in Arkansas, so just. It's prom season.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
How many people are going? I'm texting with her now. I've really taken, like, a. Not an interest that would be an unfair thing to say to me, but like a disciplinary. And tough love. Emphasis on love interest. In my niece right now she's in 11th grade, and I'm on her about act, on the things you gotta do now. And so I told her they were in town because they came into town for the baby shower you threw for my wife. And so my sister, my niece, my cousin, her kid, they all came to town. And so I told him. I said, hey, we're driving back from Amy's house to my house, and I got my niece, and I don't want anybody else to ride with us. My cousin's kid, but no adults. And I was just giving her the business. I was like, hey, look, you're 11th grade. You haven't taken the ACT yet. Like, I love you, I care about you, but I'm gonna hold you accountable because I know you want to go to college. And she's like, yeah, I'll get to it. And she's a smart kid. And I said, no, no, getting to it. So every day I text her, take the act. She said, you gotta take it the first time, because then you know how bad you are. I don't mean this in a bad way. So you can get better at it, because the first time you take it's the worst because you haven't been through the experience, the waking up, the sitting in a room. Sometimes you can do all the practice tests you want until you take the real thing. It doesn't feel like the real thing. So I said, you got to take it the first time so you can be bad at it. She's like, well, I don't want to take it and be bad. Tough titty. You got to take it to be bad. And so you said, tough titty. Probably. She's 11th grade. She can hear the word titty. And so she did. I was so proud of her. She did. She went and took the test, and her score was fine. It was actually better than I thought it was going to be for the first time. And I think she was embarrassed to tell me her score, which she shouldn't have been because it was fine. And I think she was embarrassed to tell me her score because mine kind of rocked.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Your first time?
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah, of course my first time. I took it in seventh grade and got, like, a 24.
Co-host or Female Panelist
That's crazy.
Bobby Bones
Like, I had full. I had full scholarship anywhere in state, but I was. I. I was zoned in. I knew my only way to get out of where I was was to nail that test. And so I got a 24 in seventh grade. Seventh grade. I didn't take it again until ninth or 10th, but a 24 got me a scholarship anywhere in state. And so she hit me back, and then she. I was like, okay, start taking practice tests. When's the next one? And so I've been on her there, and she doesn't have a driver's license yet. She can, but kids don't care to drive. What? What the. And she has a job. And I'm like, well, how do you get to your job? Well, somebody takes me, and I know they don't have money, so I'm like, if you get your driver's license, I will buy you a car. You got to go get your driver's license. Like, do it. And I said, you are very lucky because you have a rich uncle. I didn't have anybody rich in my family. I will buy you a car if. As long as your grades stay where they are, you keep your job and you go and you get your driver license. And so I don't know where we are on that right now, but I stay on her. And I stay on her about the act, because ACT is. What is the big one in Arkansas. I don't know about you guys.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Same we did. I mean, ACT or SAT in Tennessee.
Bobby Bones
Tennessee. It's ACT for your kids.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
What did you take when you were kids?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Sat. I did both, but sat. I took act. I took once. Sat. I took three times.
Bobby Bones
What was the one there was more emphasis on?
Co-host or Male Panelist
I guess it was the sat.
Bobby Bones
Sat?
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Morgan, Kansas.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Act.
Morgan
We didn't even have the sat.
Bobby Bones
It was never an option for me to take the sat. The only thing I knew about the SAT is they took it on. Saved by the Bill. Harvard.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah. The guy in the pipe.
Bobby Bones
Yes. And he was so like, I just been on her, and I'm like. I told her, I said, if you take your ACT again, you will score two points higher if you take the practice Tests, you will score two points higher, and then you will take it again. And then from there, you need to score one point higher each time. And so she's 11th grade.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Whatever, whatever.
Bobby Bones
So prom's coming up. I was texting her this morning, and I just hit her up this morning. I was like, how's it going today? Just to see what the feedback was going to be from her. She was like, good. Just got to school. Talking about prom with my friends. I like to hit her with generic questions because then I go, what's the deal with that? Because all she said was talking about prom with her friends.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So we're trying to plan out stuff, figure out what stuff we need to do, because we're gonna try to go get our nails done together for prom. And I said, when is it, man? I write. So do I always text like that?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yes to the prompt.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Abruptly, there's no, like, hey, how's your day?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Like, hey, assertive and direct.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah, Just like, what are you eating, bro?
Bobby Bones
Text. Kind of cold.
Co-host or Female Panelist
When are you coming over?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, how's it going today? What's the deal with that? When's prom?
Co-host or Female Panelist
Are you here yet?
Bobby Bones
She's April 25th. We still have time, but we're trying to plan some stuff to make sure we get everything done. I said, where do you go to get your nails done? She has this place in Hot Springs called Blink. I said, where's prom? Sits at a family farm in Malvern. Sounds kind of fun. Like a. Because we had ours in the high school gym or a convention center one year. Very cold, not the temperature, but just like, there's nothing there. And yeah, put up a couple things. I said, how much do nails cost? How many people going? Said, it depends if you just get your nails done or if you get your toes and nails done. I'm going with two other people. Okay, how much? Like, if she does the work, I will pay for every single thing she ever has to care about, ever. I just need her to do the work and focus. You do the work and focus. I will take care of everything. How much for toes? I was going to tell you this, too. Toes and nails. She's probably like, why is he asking me so many weird questions about my toes and my nails at 11 o'? Clock? Toes and nails for three people at that place. Fully done up. Is that a thing fully done up? Yeah, kids say that.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Well, because, like, did they. Are they adding any, like, acrylic nails? Are they doing nail art?
Bobby Bones
And you don't do it day of prom? Right. You have to it before prom.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I mean, I would. It's fair. If they're already talking about it. They're scheduling it before prom, like a day or two.
Bobby Bones
So this isn't me, but my wife's parents, they have a prom dress store. We talked about that before. And they start a few years ago and it's crushing. And they didn't make it to go. Like we're going to make a bunch of money. They literally did it because the small town of Vienne is where they're from and there's not a lot there. So they're like, what if we put a business here and people will stop here at this business and it's called Glory Prom and it crushes. So I have my sister and my niece drive up there three and a half hours and then they just get whatever you want.
Co-host or Male Panelist
They already went?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think they went last week.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh, cute.
Bobby Bones
Or maybe yesterday, one of the two. I should ask that. Oh. Oh, she does read messages.
Co-host or Male Panelist
So you can tell she read it. She's doing the math right now on her nails and toes.
Bobby Bones
What else? What like, what else can I do for like girls going to promote. We got the dress taken care of. Caitlin's mom does that. She's like, don't worry about it.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Well, how are they getting out to this farm? I always worry about kids driving.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Driving? Yeah.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Especially if it's out in a small town and not that I don't know. And it's not even another. Mom and I were talking about this the other day again. It's never that. You're worried about the decisions your kid's gonna make.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Of course not.
Co-host or Male Panelist
What are the other kids? And then they're all on the road and they're all in the same vicinity. It's nerve wracking, those types of nights.
Bobby Bones
Oh, we got a message. No, never mind. She read that one though.
Morgan
They typically go to eat too before, so that's always something. Like they're all dressed up and they'll go out to eat before the dance happens.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Let me find out what's up with that.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Does she have a date?
Bobby Bones
I would imagine. Unless they've broken up. She has a boyfriend.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Because I see them in pictures, you know. I told you guys I'm gonna get on Facebook.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Have you met him?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Co-host or Female Panelist
You didn't meet that dude. See if he's okay.
Bobby Bones
Here's the problem with that. I'm so intimidating.
Co-host or Female Panelist
You got tattoos and stuff.
Bobby Bones
I just like. I wear. I wear a cut off. And he got all my tats. I Haven't. No. I haven't been back to Mount Pine in a year or so. Because now mostly when we go to Arkansas, we go to Fayetteville. Because one I would go to Fayetteville anyway because going to games. But then now dj, my brother in law's coach on the team and you know their kids and we have a house there obviously, so we stay there. So. Hey, Scuba asked me, by the way. Scuba, I don't know if this is he in there, right? I'm here. Yeah, I can't see the bet there's a bad angle. Scuba sent me a, an email. It's like, hey, would you do commercials for like travel explore Fayetteville or something? Like what was it?
Co-host or Female Panelist
Chamber of commerce. What is that like?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, Fayetteville.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah, Arkansas.
Bobby Bones
And it said. And I was like, that's like asking me if I would do commercials for left handed people. Like yeah, it was like that's the easiest commercial ever. But it said because we do a thing. Do you guys get a note from Scuba? It's like all these things. Okay, so I'll respond 90% yeses. Because he doesn't send me things I wouldn't do or don't have any education on. And so I mostly am yeses. But he wrote Fayetteville, Wichita.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yes. Because what they're trying to do is get people from other areas and that's
Bobby Bones
probably a target area in Wichita to talk about Fayetteville.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, like a local spot. Oh, why didn't you say that? I was confused because I usually put
Co-host or Female Panelist
the city of where it's from if it's a local one. So that one was Wichita.
Bobby Bones
Oh yeah, it was like national deal.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Now it's a local one.
Bobby Bones
I already do that anyway. The national pretty much. Yeah. Just tell him I would do that.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah, I told him yes. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay. She still hasn't responded. Okay, we can go around the room.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Oh, you know that screen right there, that one goes, That's a Scuba screen. So you ever need to look there and Scuba's not there.
Bobby Bones
It's not that. Cuz sometimes I do that. But I'm sitting in a different spot now.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Oh, okay.
Bobby Bones
I'm a little discombobulated.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Got it.
Bobby Bones
My brain's a little whopper jawed right now. I don't really know where to look. Okay, let's. Oh, but yeah, they drove up to Gloria. She got a dress. I forgot what I'm gonna say. The eating. Maybe I can handle that.
Co-host or Male Panelist
That's why I was asking if she had a boyfriend because he'll probably think it's so clutch if the bill gets paid.
Bobby Bones
No, he didn't pay me back.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah. But also then I'm like, wait a second. That should be on the boyfriend.
Co-host or Female Panelist
It should.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I guess it's a weird thing because I always want her to feel like, with my niece, I always want her to feel like I'm here for whatever you need whenever you need it, but you need to need it, not just want it and, like, take advantage of it. And that is a very fine line. And I think I'm probably going to have to have that with a kid, too, right?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yes.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yes, 100%. See, what I do with my kids is I get them everything they need. But it's not easy. Like, if they ask for something, it's a whole grind. Like, no, probably not. And then they have to, like, persuade me why they need something or why we're going to spend that much money.
Bobby Bones
I need three meals a day, dad, not just one. I don't know, kid.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Not that.
Bobby Bones
Okay, Morgan, what were you going to say? I saw you take your breath.
Morgan
Yeah. There was something else that you could potentially do. But then I thought maybe the boyfriend would pay for it.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Was.
Morgan
They do, like, boutonnieres and flowers. So I don't know.
Bobby Bones
I'm going to say this. I don't know this boyfriend. I don't know who he is. I don't know if she still has a boyfriend, but where I come from, nobody has money.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Right.
Bobby Bones
So I definitely don't mind alleviating that pressure from even him, because you don't live where I live. If you're good, like my town. And I don't. I'm not saying that in a way that's bad. I just. There's no money where I. Where I live even now. I mean, it's. It's. It's even worse now because the mill shut down.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Do you know rich people just be like, you know what? I want to live out in the country. And they.
Bobby Bones
This is not the country.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Okay?
Bobby Bones
Mountain pines are the country. Like, you drive beside Mountain Pine to get out to the lake, but it's like Ouachita, and there are no houses on Lake Ouachita. You can't build on it. It's Corps of Engineer Lake.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Oh.
Bobby Bones
So, no. Yes, I completely get that. But nobody in LA is like, we should move to, like, Wyoming or Mountain Pine and get our second house.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Gotcha.
Bobby Bones
So, yeah, that's. What's up. No response. Okay, let's just do stories and I'll update you guys. On if she responds. Okay, you.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I saw Meryl Streep and Anna Winter on the COVID of Vogue, and it reminded me, I think a few months ago, this was one of my podcast stories where I talked about Devil wears Prada 2 is coming out on May 1. So now that they're on the COVID that means it's getting closer. So then I started reading the article, and I was reminded about the date of May 1, and that is going to be here before we know it. And I'm so excited. Like, this will probably be a movie. Artemis. No, not Artemis. That's the people on the moon right now.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Hail Mary project. Hail Mary is something that has almost gotten me to the theater, but I think I'll just wait and enjoy it at home, even though I know it's amazing. But I feel like Devil Wears Prada, too, will get me and my girlfriends to the theater. Like, I'm very excited. So just heads up. May 1st, and that's just a few weeks away.
Bobby Bones
I think I would have gone to the theater for the Ryan Gosling movie project.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Hail Mary.
Bobby Bones
I just had a baby, so I couldn't, but that would have got me to the theater.
Co-host or Male Panelist
It looks good, but shout out, Artemis.
Co-host or Female Panelist
The people in space, what are they doing?
Co-host or Male Panelist
They're just.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Are they gonna land?
Bobby Bones
They're just going around the moon. They're not landing on the moon because they can't. Hey, dude, this is supposed to be the mission that proves you can get
Co-host or Female Panelist
there, but they're not landing.
Co-host or Male Panelist
So how about this? I saw Jessica Alba. I feel like this would be Lunchbox's story. Maybe if he wasn't sick, he'd be like, oh, hottie Jessica Alba.
Bobby Bones
I'll leave my wife for her.
Co-host or Male Panelist
It's so cool. There's a woman aboard the. There's three guys and a woman. And she was. Sorry, I can't think of her name. Christina. Maybe she was looking for her Honest lotion, and she put out a message like. She's like, I am looking for a bottle of lotion. It's honest lotion. So Jessica Alba posted a video on Instagram yesterday reacting to that, and she got real emotional because it's a company, obviously, she created. And then her daughter's name is Honor, and she decided to name the company Honest because she's like, what if brands are hon about, you know, the ingredients and what's inside? And she's like, and now my lotion is in space.
Bobby Bones
I said, because she was, like, in her car. Did you say that?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, she was doing a Selfie style reel on Instagram or TikTok or whatever. And that was really cool. And then I saw a jar of Nutella floating through the little spacecraft. And I was like, dang honest. And Nutella getting some free marketing.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Morgan
And iPhone, because they're taking all the
Bobby Bones
pictures of the moon if they're really in space.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then there's the reels of people that are like showing all the reasons why this is so fake and they're not really there.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Well, even NASA like posted something on Instagram and on the bottom it was like AI generated stuff like that. And the comments were like, wait, wait, wait, why does this video have AI written on the bottom of it? I guess it like.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Which is so messed up because, like, I personally do think that they're up there, but even when I was watching Jessica Alba and I'm like, don't get emotional. You're not in space.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Because they're not really there in the
Co-host or Male Panelist
back of my head, even though I do believe they're there, but also the conspiracies are popping up on my Instagram and so I'm like, oh, she's crying. And now this is a really special moment. But what if your lotion's not even really there? It's just in a simulator.
Bobby Bones
This is what I believe.
Co-host or Male Panelist
What?
Bobby Bones
I believe they're in space. I don't know if they're able to get through that belt though.
Co-host or Male Panelist
But they're for. They're. They're in the. They're at that place the furthest distance from Earth.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah. They said they broke the record.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Hey, I broke the record for most pancakes eaten this morning.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Did you?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Co-host or Male Panelist
No, you didn't.
Bobby Bones
You can't prove it.
Co-host or Female Panelist
One morning.
Bobby Bones
You can't prove I did.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah. All I've seen you eat is a banana.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah, man, we saw you.
Co-host or Male Panelist
You ate the most pancakes ever.
Bobby Bones
Talking about before I came in, I, man, I'm just. I'm not a conspiracy guy, but I'm now such a cynic because our government lies to us, so.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Okay, but NASA's not really government.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, they are, kind of still.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Really?
Bobby Bones
Did you know NASA, for the most part, we took an out that they weren't anymore. Well, no, it's like saying the Post, the government still is heavily influen is involved.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Okay. Yeah, because. But it's not just America. There's a Canadian on board.
Bobby Bones
Well, then they can't be.
Caller or Guest
Fine.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Well, then there you go. There goes that theory.
Bobby Bones
There's our credibility right there. I again, I'm I'm not Mr. Conspiracy. I just. I feel the government lies to us all the time.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Do you follow the girl? I can't think of her name, but she's the conspiracy theorist that holds a glass of milk every time she talks. A big old Mason jar full of milk.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Why does she hold the glass?
Bobby Bones
I don't follow a lot of conspiracy people. That's not my thing. I just don't believe the government.
Co-host or Female Panelist
So you come up with all this stuff yourself?
Bobby Bones
I don't come up with anything, no.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Like whenever you talk about conspiracies, is there things that you think about?
Co-host or Male Panelist
No.
Bobby Bones
Mostly it'll be things that I read and go, there's no way, but let me dip my toe and see. So there is a little. Guys, I'm telling you, the nine scientists that have all disappeared or been killed because in one way or the other, they were connected to things that are astrophysics, space program. There's no way that's a coincidence.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Two.
Bobby Bones
Okay, three, four. Man, this is nutty. Nine. And not all nine of them were like super prolific. It's crazy to me. And there's just so many distractions that happen right now that we don't stay on stuff because the next thing comes along and moves us off.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Do you think the government is shocked that we're not that into this moon trip?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh, so many people are into it,
Co-host or Female Panelist
but overall, like 1969, right?
Bobby Bones
Like we're stripping the moon, but we were racing to the moon then.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was a much bigger one.
Bobby Bones
We had to beat the Russians, I think. I think they could have celebrated it more and they're not because there are other things like Iran that kind of took, you know, which, by the way, thank God nobody got. I predicted yesterday. This is not a celebration of me, but let's celebrate me for a second. I predicted yesterday exactly what would happen. Last night happened. They'd come with up some negotiation and it wouldn't happen. I never thought it would happen. You just can't write stuff like, I'm going to end a civilization.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Mm.
Bobby Bones
So I. I never expected that to go off. I was just disappointed at the rhetoric ish that was used.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Did you still check at that time?
Bobby Bones
No, I was early in the day. They were like earlier in the day. They're like, we're getting closer and to go. I was like, of course you are.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's right before I even went to bed. I knew there was a two week ceasefire, so I felt better. But my plan all along was just to Go to bed.
Bobby Bones
There's also not even a ceasefire. There's still fire and missiles over there like crazy. Who is? Iran.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh, damn.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah. They're just like, open the strait.
Co-host or Male Panelist
But we're not like, who knows what we're doing? I don't know. Morgan and I were talking about that this morning. I was like, there's rules in war, you know? And she's like, yeah, but I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Geneva Convention's a real thing if you abide by it.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, I just figure, like, let's abide by the rules.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I was reading a story yesterday about how we, you know, to save the pilot that went down in Iran, we were using this tech that can track heartbeats, and they were able to track his heartbeat.
Caller or Listener
Whoa.
Bobby Bones
And I'll have Mike if you don't
Co-host or Male Panelist
have his heartbeat, if you don't mind
Bobby Bones
searching it up for me.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Like, when you're looking for something, you can track heartbeats. Almost like the warm detective.
Bobby Bones
But if you come across. Well, like a goat. Sure, that's a great question.
Caller or Listener
Sure, sure.
Bobby Bones
I don't know. It's either him or a goat, boss. I think the heartbeats would be different. And then what I didn't know was a raccoon in. Does everybody who goes into these places, do they have their heartbeat monitored? So you know which ones is which? Does that make sense?
Caller or Guest
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Do you have it? Yeah. It's called a ghost murmur and it can detect heartbeats up to 40 miles away.
Co-host or Female Panelist
About 40 miles. That's pretty good.
Bobby Bones
And you're right, like, what about a ghost? Are you flipping me off?
Co-host or Male Panelist
No, I'm like, I just started tracking my rest. My heart rate with my OURA ring and how we all have different. We all. Like you're saying maybe they had data on his.
Bobby Bones
It's like a fingerprint, right? You know what everybody's is. So then when you see it again, like, so what do you see on that mic? It says it uses it some kind of. They won't give us too much in this. Yeah, some kind of long range quantum magnet magnetometry. That's what he uses. So some kind of electric signature that can detect a heartbeat.
Co-host or Male Panelist
So do you think personalized heartbeat, like, personal to him or just.
Bobby Bones
Here's why I think they won't say that in that story, is they don't want us all knowing that they've probably got our personalized heartbeats and they know where we.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Stop flipping off.
Co-host or Male Panelist
This is what. This is why I was scared. This is why I Scared to buy this for Two years. I was like, now everything about me. Well, I don't know, what if you
Bobby Bones
go missing in the mountains? They're like, let's hack our oura ring. And. But this is a technology that we didn't know that we had.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah, I get that.
Bobby Bones
And it came out because of this. And it just is like, what other technologies do we have?
Co-host or Female Panelist
But what's the difference between our heartbeats? Do you think we have that unique heartbeat?
Bobby Bones
Do you think we have that unique of fingerprints? Yes. You wouldn't know, but you would not know that by just holding two fingers up. They do reference a heart print in this.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Okay. Do you know your resting heart rate right now? Yeah, like right now.
Bobby Bones
Pretty fired up. So I don't know
Co-host or Male Panelist
because mine was like. When I was looking at it, it was like 66 or something. And yours might be something else. However, if I'm a lost pilot down, my heart rate is high.
Caller or Guest
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
They're so trained. They're such bas.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh, that's true. To like, stay calm.
Bobby Bones
They are the baddest of the bad. They're awesome. Okay, my heart rate right now is 72.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Okay. So I'm like 66.
Bobby Bones
Can I show you my stress, though? Like, when I do the show, I get. I'm so stressed.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Like, this shows you stress level.
Bobby Bones
It's like I'm playing a ball game.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Wait, do you pay extra for that? I don't have that.
Morgan
No, it's in there for you.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you're new. You're new to the game.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Wait, I gotta get mine because I
Bobby Bones
can look at, like, the stress and I have like, I'm like so into sleep.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. What stresses you out? I gotta see if I get stressed during the show.
Bobby Bones
What do you mean?
Co-host or Male Panelist
I want to see if I get it.
Bobby Bones
Often asks me if I did a four hour workout when I'm done after.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Wait, what?
Bobby Bones
Because, dang, dude. When it's showtime right now. Amy's got me pissed off. I'm 88 bpm right now. You see it? I'm jumped up right now.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Why did I. Amy, you know.
Bobby Bones
You know what's up? Flip me off twice. Yes. No showing you my 89 now. I'm trying to get it up higher. That's how I get it.
Caller or Listener
Higher.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Does it go up?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Whatever.
Bobby Bones
I can see it.
Co-host or Male Panelist
It's going down.
Bobby Bones
Well, it was because I was talking. It was now back up.
Co-host or Male Panelist
It's back up. It's back.
Bobby Bones
He's like, were you in a car wreck? Yes, I was at 89 a second ago, because I'm so, like, I got to get myself super focused. And we go bang, bang, bang. Energy's got to be good. I'm stressed because I got so many things to do. And it's like, did you just work out for four hours? And I'm like, no. Dismiss. Activity doesn't count as a workout.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Okay, I have to go get mine and see if I'm stressed during the show.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Don't you have it on?
Co-host or Male Panelist
I don't have my app in front of me, and I didn't bring my phone over here.
Bobby Bones
Front of you.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I don't.
Bobby Bones
You have to stop with the finger. You have to stop with the finger.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Oh, it's going up again.
Bobby Bones
Harvey's going up.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Bobby, can't you tell? This is my pointer finger.
Bobby Bones
Amy keeps doing this to me, though,
Co-host or Male Panelist
because I have the ring on, but I don't have my app in front of me. And that's how you get the data.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Hey, Bobby, have you seen it when you're watching a basketball game or Razorback game?
Bobby Bones
I haven't looked. I bet it's high. I bet. But my lowest over the past three days has been 69 while I sleep. What was yours? Right now? 68.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Dang.
Bobby Bones
It must be nice to be you.
Co-host or Male Panelist
No, I think my resting is 66 or something. Hold.
Bobby Bones
Dang. That's even.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Just.
Bobby Bones
Hey, don't even lower.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Jealous of my.
Bobby Bones
I am jealous, but you.
Morgan
Guess what?
Co-host or Male Panelist
My people are probably so bored by this, but my sleep score is a 91 last night.
Caller or Listener
What?
Co-host or Female Panelist
It's out of 100.
Co-host or Male Panelist
So good.
Bobby Bones
Wow. Do you want to see mine?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh, I got a little stress. Am I like you? I take this job as serious.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Do you guys stress each other out?
Bobby Bones
Maybe I'm stressed out right now because I keep wondering why I'm getting flipped off so much.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Wait, wait, wait, wait. No, my. Sorry, my bad. I'm. My resting heart rate's 82.
Bobby Bones
Like I get asked, are you doing strength training during the show?
Co-host or Female Panelist
That's crazy, man. That's how stressed out you are.
Bobby Bones
I'm not stressed out. I just have.
Co-host or Female Panelist
But your body is.
Bobby Bones
I need to be at a high level. It's a performance stress. Yeah, but you know, it's not stressed out. Yeah. Oh, yeah, for sure. I don't look at it and go, oh, man, I gotta do better. No, I. It's. It's game time. I gotta get up. So you want to see my sleep last night?
Morgan
Have you ever gotten that 78 triple crown? Because I've never accomplished that.
Co-host or Female Panelist
What's that an award?
Bobby Bones
The triple.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I got the double, where you get,
Morgan
like, all three of your big numbers, you get a crown on, which means you're good all across the board.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, I'm brand new. I already got triple crown. But then I had a theory about this. I had a theory.
Bobby Bones
Look at my stress yesterday. Just generally, like, I'm gonna have a heart attack and die anyway.
Co-host or Female Panelist
What's the level?
Bobby Bones
It's all, like. They show you a grid, and mine is, like, all through the.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Is it because of the baby?
Bobby Bones
Because of you.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Okay. Or me?
Co-host or Female Panelist
You're flipping him off.
Bobby Bones
No, it's. No, it's not the baby. I'm the most chill.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I had a theory that because I'm brand new to this.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I get it.
Co-host or Male Panelist
It was giving me, like, good data.
Bobby Bones
Like, when you sell drugs. Hey, first hits.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So, like, the first three or four days, I'm hitting crowns and all that, and then I thought, wait a second. This is kind of fishy. What if they do that to get you hooked? So that they were like, oh, there's. They get excited. They want to go check the app. Because that's what I want to do when I wake up in the morning. I want to check my sleep score.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, you'll get over that, though.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I know. But it definitely gets me hooked, because if I were to start wearing this thing and I had low everything all the time, I'm not gonna be excited to wear it.
Bobby Bones
Or it would. Yeah, it's a probably good point there.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Anyway, just.
Morgan
I did hear it takes a while to level it out, to actually have all your accurate, average levels. So it does take a few weeks until really balanced.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Your crowns aren't even accurate.
Bobby Bones
I do have mine hooked with my apple health, though.
Co-host or Male Panelist
That helps.
Bobby Bones
Tells me what's up. Okay, Morgan, your story.
Morgan
All right, so there was some chick fil A workers, and they posted a video, went mega viral. But now they've been fired because of the video.
Co-host or Female Panelist
What did they do?
Morgan
Mike, will you throw. Eddie, will you throw it up there? It's on the screen. I want you guys to watch it and see if you think they should be fired because of this.
Bobby Bones
This is hard for me to see. It's behind my head.
Co-host or Female Panelist
I can put it up over there, I think. Hold on.
Bobby Bones
Now we can let her turn around, but it's stressing me out to turn around, so. Oh, God. Heart rate's going up.
Morgan
It's gonna go back up.
Co-host or Female Panelist
There you go.
Bobby Bones
Dancing, huh?
Morgan
Yep. All dancing.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Oh, but they're shaking their boobs.
Bobby Bones
But Is it all girls?
Morgan
It's all girls.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah. That's kind of. Oh, yeah, that's not good. There's one guy at the end.
Bobby Bones
Well, I kept waiting for guys. Does the guy have big boobs? Oh, he does grab his boobs. I guess that's the thing, huh?
Morgan
Yeah, it's a trend.
Co-host or Female Panelist
And so that's why the dude turned around and twerked.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I don't know that I would now. If this was my Chick Fil A, I don't think I would fire. If they had. If they were otherwise wonderful employees, I would say this is a bad. This is not the reflection I want on of my store on social media. So, like, take this as a warning.
Bobby Bones
I feel the same. Except for it could be like a corporate mandate passed down. I don't know. Do you know who fired them? Local or corporate?
Morgan
No, I mean, they. They're from a Florida branch and it's just all the Florida staffers got let go. But they were. The person who posted it was confused because they've had another video go viral and they didn't get.
Bobby Bones
It was all their ding dongs is all dudes on the wiener. They're like, no, we got there just fine.
Morgan
I don't know that it was a
Co-host or Male Panelist
wiener video, but Chick Fil A now has hot dogs.
Morgan
It's like their second time going viral. So.
Bobby Bones
I don't know, Amy, I mean, what's wrong with you?
Co-host or Female Panelist
Like, what are you.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Like, what would they be doing? I don't know.
Bobby Bones
Eddie, what's your story?
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah, so there's. Have you seen that video of the lady that fell out of the carnival ride? It was crazy. It was in Mexico and there was like. It kind of looks like the zipper, but it's the hammer. It's got two sides. You know where people are in it? Like four people are in it. It's open, but they're strapped, like, with a bar. Well, this thing started, like, just shaking too much. People started slipping out and this lady is like holding on. And then finally a guy's like, just jump and grabs the lady. She jumped in the middle of the ride and he caught her. It was crazy.
Bobby Bones
Wow, what a commitment to have to make that call if you're gonna jump or not. Yeah. And then what? How Was she like 5 9? Was she like a normal sized woman?
Co-host or Female Panelist
Normal sized woman caught her.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Five nine's not a normal sized woman.
Bobby Bones
Taller. Slightly taller. I'm saying, like, was she a normal side? She wasn't.
Co-host or Female Panelist
She looks normal.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Caller or Listener
And.
Co-host or Female Panelist
But you know how the ride is like it's two, right? There's two things with a big hammer.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yes.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Rod or whatever was already coming down. So it wasn't like she fell from the very top.
Bobby Bones
Oh, you still got to make a commitment still, man.
Co-host or Female Panelist
That thing was moving and she. It was crazy. Crazy.
Bobby Bones
How tall are you, hater?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh, I wasn't hating. I was just five, five, six. But yeah, I get what you're saying.
Bobby Bones
You just point out how I'm stupid. No, check the level, check the level.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Whoa, whoa. You're filter right now.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Stressed out.
Bobby Bones
My finger. I'm giving her the finger.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I think you're taking my comments through us.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Hey, I meant to tell you, I quoted you to my father in law.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no.
Co-host or Male Panelist
What?
Co-host or Female Panelist
Because he was talking about like, man, you know, like some of these movies, man, they just got like F bomb after F bomb after F bomb. And I was just like, I'm gonna use it.
Bobby Bones
I don't know what I said here.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Like, don't you think that the F bomb and the bad words, like it's just a word, you know, like, why is it a bad thing? And he was just like, huh, what about that?
Co-host or Male Panelist
What about your kids?
Co-host or Female Panelist
Well, that's what he was, that's what he was referring to. That my son was watching a movie and he's like, had a bunch of F bombs or whatever. But I'm like, you ever thought about like, it's just a word, it's a sound that we make.
Bobby Bones
That's where I go, it's a sound. And, and that, that, that sound itself means nothing. Because you can go, get on a flight, go 12 hours, say the same word, and it's nothing. That word doesn't even. It's not in their language.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah. And he was like, huh, interesting. I never thought about that.
Bobby Bones
Now the intention behind it is what matters.
Co-host or Female Panelist
But he was just saying, watching the movie and it being in the background and just like, F this, F that, F that. He's just like, why? Like why? I was like, yeah, but is it really just.
Bobby Bones
It's just a sound, you know, my two things, words, intentions of words are what matters. More so than the word and the sound itself and the two yellow lines in the middle of the road that keep everybody from dying. I can't stop thinking about it.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Well, I thought about that too, but I was thinking about planes. Just like planes trust other planes too. Like some plane can decide to just
Bobby Bones
go around being told by air traffic control what level, how high to be.
Co-host or Female Panelist
I know, but they can just decide to ignore that, you know?
Bobby Bones
But still, it's so hard to hit a plane. Like on a road, you got a very select space. And we're looking at those two yellow lines and going I'm completely safe from hundreds of people coming at me going 50, 60, 70 miles an hour. And those two yellow lines that are nothing are going to keep me from dying. That's crazy to me.
Co-host or Female Panelist
You think we should put walls?
Bobby Bones
We don't have the money for that
Co-host or Female Panelist
cuz like that would.
Bobby Bones
And we do on interstates. But I mean the yellow lines, they seem to be working pretty good but
Co-host or Female Panelist
for the most part it's just crazy
Bobby Bones
to me that, that, that we just trust that people are going to abide by those two yellow lines that do nothing. I usually drive if it's a four way with just yellow lines in the middle. I stay on slow side because I don't want someone crossing over. And then I whip it real quick and I gotta make a left. I whip it in the left lane, then whip it. Which probably even more unsafe than if I would have just driven in the left lane to begin with.

little bit unbelievable until I really start making money. It's financial literacy month and the podcast Eating While Broke is bringing real conversations about money, growth and building your future. This month hear from top streamer Zoe Spencer and venture capitalist lakeisha Landrum Pierre as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up. If I'm outside with my parents and they see all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what today? Now, Obviously, it's like 100%. They believe everything, but at first it was just like, you gotta go get a real job. There's an economic component to communities thriving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them. Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect podcast Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. You know what they say? Early bird gets the ultimate vacation home. Bobby Bones
This is the Bobby Bones Show. Let's go. Hey, grab a couple calls here. This is a vet in Louisiana. You know, we're talking earlier about that guy, and he was at a school board meeting, and that. That student sits next to him and he's like, yeah, you're hot. A vet. What do you want to say?
Caller or Guest
What I want to say is, have people lost their ever loving mind? The way they behave.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Caller or Guest
Adults with children. I don't get it. I don't get it. I don't get it. I just don't. I wonder what's going on with the world.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, me too.
Caller or Guest
I live in a very small town. We had a teacher who had an affair with the student. Her kids went to the small Catholic school that my kids went to. I'm 60 years old. My kids are 35 and 28. I had to look at this woman every day after she got arrested and was like, what the hell is a woman? What? She was a teacher.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no, I hear you. I just always assume it's a dude because dudes are creepy and awful. In our school, we had a dude. We had two of these. I don't know if it's a small town thing, Yvette, because I. It sounds like you're from a small town, like Me. We had two. Two sitches.
Caller or Listener
Two?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, we had two. I don't want to say much more. Oh, but we had two. More than one.
Caller or Listener
Two.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yvette, keep going. I'm sorry to cut you off.
Caller or Guest
Well, no, that's okay. Right now in the news, there are two school teachers. Two having an affair with the same child.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh, my. The poor child.
Caller or Guest
I don't understand. I do not for the life of me understand that. Again, I've been out of school for over 40 years, so I'm probably old enough to be. I don't know, probably a mama's maybe. But I just found out probably 30 years after I graduated that one of the girls in my class who was a. She slept with our computer science teacher in high school. He was nothing. I. I don't get it. I don't understand. I just don't understand. What's wrong with people?
Bobby Bones
What's wrong with people?
Co-host or Male Panelist
People.
Bobby Bones
She didn't mean to set us up for that, but. Yeah, what's wrong with people? You know, what I'll say is, first of all, I agree with everything she's saying. Like, we put these people in a position, hopefully to guide the next generation to be responsible and then create other responsible people. And now more and more stories are coming out. But here's what I'd like to say. This ain't new.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Nope.
Bobby Bones
We just have media that shares stories. Once it goes to court or even gets found out. If you don't think in the 50s and 60s and 70s it wasn't happening like crazy, it makes it no more. Right. It's disgusting. It is wrong. So I don't know that the world is getting worse. I think we just know more about the worst world. So, Yvette, I feel you like, it pisses me off. So I'm with you. I'm glad you called. I'm sorry that's happening in your town? Definitely happened in my town. Twice. Three times. Three times. I just thought of another one.
Co-host or Female Panelist
You just remembered another one?
Bobby Bones
Yes, I remembered another one now.
Co-host or Male Panelist
So she's saying the. The woman in particular, her kids school. Like, she said she has to see her. She went to jail. Like, how long did she go to jail for? She's out now.
Caller or Guest
Oh, she's out. But the. The thing about that is she went to jail. She went to trial. The boy was a senior in high school. My thought is, you couldn't wait six months for him to be not a student anymore. Number one, I don't get the whole attraction thing like that. But she went to School. They are together. They are together. They are a couple living in a home. She divorced her husband. She had four kids.
Bobby Bones
Okay, can I.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Can.
Caller or Guest
I went to school with my kids.
Bobby Bones
Can I present. I mean, I mean, one slight inch of devil's advocate. I don't know if the kid's a senior and 18, and then also they're still together. Like does that a little bit.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Well, yeah, but as a teacher, you.
Bobby Bones
I agree with that. Hey, I couldn't agree more.
Co-host or Male Panelist
So, like, as a therapist, you can't.
Bobby Bones
I know, but I'm just saying. Is there a sliver if he was 18 and they're still together?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Let's ask her. Was he 18?
Bobby Bones
I got a feeling I know what Yvette's gonna say here.
Co-host or Male Panelist
No, Yvette, at the time of the affair or whatever you call it, by
Bobby Bones
the way, it's no, because she has a. This teacher has an authoritative position.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I know it's a no, but I want to know the age.
Bobby Bones
But I don't want to get put into the. You're hot like that guy. I'm not in that category.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I know you're not. I understand what you're saying.
Bobby Bones
Go ahead.
Co-host or Male Panelist
What's the age?
Bobby Bones
Hey, Yvette.
Caller or Guest
I think he was probably 7. I think he was probably 17. But I do believe that because even if he'd have been 18 because she was a teacher and he was a student.
Bobby Bones
I agree with that.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, no, we get that.
Bobby Bones
Hey, I'm down like a deep frown for sure on that. But I'm just asking if it makes it instead of 100%, like bad, bad. If it's like 93. If they're still together and he was
Co-host or Male Panelist
18, I'm thinking he was 17.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, but she's thinking that we don't.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah, we don't know.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Well, at some point in his senior year, he was likely 17.
Bobby Bones
I'm with you. Yeah, we had three. Now that I think, unless he was
Co-host or Male Panelist
held back in kindergarten.
Bobby Bones
Great point. Could have been 19.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I just.
Bobby Bones
What if it's a teacher who's not. I'm just creating scenarios. What if it's a teacher who's not over the student in any class?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Absolutely not.
Co-host or Female Panelist
And they're 18. Oh, they teach another class.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah. Like he.
Co-host or Male Panelist
No, no, I agree.
Bobby Bones
Hard. No, I ain't getting lumped in with the weirdos. So we had three. I don't want to say anything about the first two, but the third one was with an 18 year old student and it was a like 22 year old new teacher and she didn't have a class over him.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Okay.
Bobby Bones
Wow.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Still?
Bobby Bones
Hey, still no.
Co-host or Female Panelist
No. I told you guys. I got invited to a teacher's house right after we graduated. Me and two other friends.
Bobby Bones
Party on, Wayne.
Co-host or Female Panelist
We had drinks with.
Co-host or Male Panelist
What?
Bobby Bones
Wait, no. You're underage drinking. You can't do that with a teacher.
Co-host or Male Panelist
They graduated, she made it.
Bobby Bones
You're still underage drinking though. You're an adult with underage drinking.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I know, but he's graduated. It doesn't.
Bobby Bones
But he's not 21.
Co-host or Female Panelist
But it's crazy. At the time we were like, this is awesome.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Do you ever get an underage drink with adults?
Bobby Bones
I'm familiar. But if you're an adult and you're giving kids now, we flipped. Amy's a weirdo.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Just like that.
Bobby Bones
I know how many people do that, but that's bizarre. Like, as soon as you graduate, come over and let me give you drinks. Uh huh.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Three of us Bahama mamas.
Bobby Bones
Was she just waiting? Was it girl?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah. Like, what was that about?
Co-host or Female Panelist
I don't know. I mean, she was always cool with this all school year. Like, how old is she? She was younger. She was probably, I would think, in her like late 20s.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Okay.
Co-host or Female Panelist
And then she was like, you guys graduated, Come to my house. I'm gonna make you all drinks. We're like, cool. It was awesome.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah.
Co-host or Female Panelist
It's weird now.
Bobby Bones
Weird. Did she hook up with any of the you three?
Co-host or Female Panelist
Not that, no. I mean, not me. And then none of my friends told
Co-host or Male Panelist
me that they did text them.
Bobby Bones
Now why as a teacher. Why as a teacher would you invite 18 years year old over and give them drinks if you weren't trying to do something right?
Co-host or Female Panelist
Aren't like sometimes teachers just want to be cool. Like, hey, I'm cool.
Bobby Bones
And that usually turns into them hooking up with a kid.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Well, that's true too. Yeah. I don't know, man.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, it's definitely disturbing. And you're right, Bobby. This is not, you know, I feel like. Sorry, what's our caller's name?
Bobby Bones
Yvette.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yvette. I feel like a vet at the same time. It's been happening for ever. So it's not anything new. We just have more information now. And it's, it's doesn't make it any less disturbing or acceptable by any means. But it is hard to process.
Co-host or Female Panelist
It's weird. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
It's just weird that an adult will be attracted to a kid.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah.
Co-host or Male Panelist
But a lot of them are.
Bobby Bones
I hear you.
Co-host or Male Panelist
And it's.
Bobby Bones
And a lot of people. Some people like to be Peed on. And that happens a lot. And I don't like that. I don't get that either, but a lot do.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, I'm out on that.
Bobby Bones
Me, too. Same.
Co-host or Female Panelist
What on earth?
Bobby Bones
Same, bro. I don't want anything to do with that. A lot of people do it. You know what I mean?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah. I don't. I actually don't know anybody except for I don't talk about it on a Sex in the City episode, but that's it. And he was a politician, so that was not shocking.
Bobby Bones
Politicians are the weirdest people anyway.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I think so, too.
Bobby Bones
They're the weirdest. They are the weirdest people anyway.
Co-host or Male Panelist
They sure are. Except for, like, I can maybe name two.
Bobby Bones
I'm gonna. I'm gonna. If I name two, then I need to go double check their backgrounds.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh, there's one. And he's actually listening to our show. I think he's normal.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Oh, he's normal?
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah. You know James.
Bobby Bones
Oh, no, I messaged him.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I know. I think he's normal.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Co-host or Male Panelist
He's maybe the.
Co-host or Female Panelist
This is a politician.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Okay.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Friend of the show. We'll just call him James.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Okay.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I'll call him Jay. He seems, like, the most normal. And I.
Bobby Bones
He's also young, and I was, like, wise and was, like, going to, like, seminary school.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And, like.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, he's everything I didn't think was possible when I was younger in a politician. A Christian Democrat.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he's a Christian hardcore, like, very much for the Lord, like, could not be anymore. He's only 36.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah. Like, if I had to. So that's why I can't make a blanket statement that, like, all politicians are.
Bobby Bones
I'll blanket the crap out of them all until proven.
Co-host or Male Panelist
But then there's. But then there's Jay.
Bobby Bones
Okay, Yvette, thank you for sharing your passion for that, because I agree with you. What the crap is happening.
Caller or Guest
Thank you. Y' all have a good day.
Bobby Bones
You, too. You, too. I like that you guys call us if you want. We Love the passion. 877-77-Bobby. That's our number. 8777. B, O, B, B, Y. Bones. Let's grab some calls here. Go to Ed, who is listening in Tennessee. Hey, Ed, you're on the show.
Caller or Listener
Hey, Bobby, I got a good one for you, man. You'll love this. Standing out behind a gym one day smoking a cigarette with a junior and two seniors. I'm a sophomore. All of a sudden, we hear a door flinging open. It bounces back against the brick wall. Two people screaming. Teacher Runs by us, followed by a man we didn't know. Guy reaches out and grabs a hold of him and begins to clean his clock. And, I mean, really whooping his behind, telling him the whole time that I told you, leave my daughter alone. And when he gets through cleaning his clock, I guess he gets all he wants. He gets up, walks around the side of the building. The teacher does. Guy goes back into the gym. Now, I said all that to say this. The girl he was messing with was also a sophomore. We were in, had classes together. She had a best friend. About a month or so later, we found out that this same teacher's dating this little girl's best friend. And her dad is also a teacher.
Bobby Bones
Oh.
Caller or Listener
At the same school.
Bobby Bones
So the dad whooped the other teacher's butt because he shouldn't have been dating a young girl.
Caller or Listener
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
And you saw it?
Caller or Listener
I saw the whole thing. Watched it with my own two eyes. Me and three other guys.
Bobby Bones
Did you ever think about jumping in to save anybody, or are you just letting it happen?
Caller or Listener
No, I wanted to see it. Come on, Bobby. Come on, man. Look how young I was. What would you have done?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I probably should have watched it. Be honest with you. I probably been like, dang, that's crazy.
Caller or Listener
Well, I'm gonna make a short story really long here. My. My wife that I'm with now is that same teacher that got his butt. Whoops. Niece.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh.
Bobby Bones
Now I'm having to do, like, lines drawn to people. But yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Caller or Guest
I didn't.
Caller or Listener
I didn't know it. I didn't know it when we met. I didn't. I didn't have a clue. The lecture. We got married. Who, you know, what was. You know, you just don't meet some family till afterwards. And I found out. I'm like, oh, no. First random reunion I went to, that's when I found it out.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh, you saw him?
Caller or Listener
No.
Bobby Bones
Sounds like a high school core memory right there to see that. That butt whooping. Oh, Ed, I appreciate that. Thank you for calling the show. Hope you have a great day, man.
Caller or Listener
Hey, look, I want to tell you something, man.
Bobby Bones
Yes, sir.
Caller or Listener
I've listened to your show for a long time. I'm a first time caller, longtime listener, and I know a little bit about your past history and where you come from in life. Where you've come to in life is admirable. I commend you for that.
Bobby Bones
Oh, thanks, man. I hear a radio. Hear a radio in the background. What are you doing today? I hear some. Are people talking to us on Radio.
Caller or Listener
I'm a truck driver. I'm sitting in a. I'm sitting in a place fishing to get loaded. That's the dispatcher up here talking to me across the CB radio.
Bobby Bones
What are you hauling?
Caller or Listener
A little everything. I'd give you the old joke, hauling butt, Bobby. I'm hauling butt.
Bobby Bones
I like it. All right, Ed. I appreciate that. Hope you have a great day. Have a safe day today.
Caller or Listener
All right, y' all have fun.
Bobby Bones
Let's go over to Vicki, who is listening in Arkansas. Vicki, you're on the show.
Caller or Guest
Hi. Morning, studio.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Morning.
Caller or Guest
Hey. So I've never called in before, but I'm a longtime listener, and my oldest son's birthday is on Thursday, and he's turning 18. He and I have both been listening to you guys for, gosh, years now. And so you've kind of become this commonality that we have that we like to catch up on the show together after a while. And I just wanted to hop on and just shout out happy birthday to Aiden. And also just to let you guys know, like, you've brought, like, you've allowed us to have so much conversation about, like, topics that are sometimes crazy or weird or silly. But, gosh, I'm getting emotional. I'm just. We're just super proud of him, and I just wanted to hop on here and just kind of surprise him.
Bobby Bones
Well, that is awesome. So this is what I would encourage you to do. So this is going to be up on the podcast, because if you missed it live, you missed it, but it's going to be up on the podcast. So, Aiden, first of all, happy birthday. That's awesome. You're 18. What's he doing at 18? Like, he's going to get a job, going to go to school. What's the deal?
Caller or Guest
He is currently, he's working at Hideaway Pizza, which is. We live. It's in Rogers, but we live in Bentonville. He is a senior this year, so he's also graduating, so it's just a lot. A lot of emotions right now. But next year he'll be going to Oklahoma State, and super excited about that. We're huge Razorback fans. My husband, I both went to the U of A. And so for him to be Orange now has been quite the transition, but just super, super pumped for him. We just keep telling him we're like, well, at least they don't play each other, so that helps. But he's wanting to join a fraternity, and I don't know, he's grown so much the past couple years, and I had him When I was super young. So, like, it's just kind of this whole, like, we've kind of grown up together, so. Just so proud of him. But you guys are awesome. We love you all so much. You make us laugh. And we were like. When I found out that y' all had had. That you and Caitlin had had your baby, like, it's literally like your family. Like, we. I immediately ran out and I was like, Bobby had a baby, like, yelling at him. And just so, so thankful for you guys. Like, you just. And I also feel like when he goes to school that you all will be something that we can still connect about, you know, connect over. So.
Bobby Bones
Really great. Hey, the good thing about him going to Oklahoma State is it ain't that far.
Caller or Guest
No, it's not. It's not. It's about three hours door to door. I've already gotten down.
Bobby Bones
What's good about three hours is. Is it is too far for him to just go, I think I'm gonna go home for the day. But it's close enough for him to go. If I need to go home for the day, I can. Like, that is the perfect. Because he's not gonna come home on just a Tuesday. Because there are times when you get homesick as a freshman. You just gotta get over it. That's learned. That's a life lesson. Like, sometimes things aren't comfortable. You gotta suck it up. Three hours. That's long enough for us to suck it up. But three hours is also where if something's going on with you and you need him or he needs you. Three hours, he gets in the car, he's home by lunchtime. That's. That's the perfect distance from home. And you know what? That's the one. Orange.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I don't really hate Oklahoma State.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, Oklahoma State. I don't mind a poke. So. Vicki, that's so cool.
Caller or Guest
We completely agree. It's not burnt orange. So we are all about it. Go Pokes. Yeah. Thank you so much. I think it's going to be great. My husband's already given us rules on how often I can go visit him and how often he can come home, which I've think is such a good thing for us. But, yeah, super proud of him.
Bobby Bones
So this is what I'm gonna do.
Caller or Guest
Thank you for letting me get on.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. I want you to hear this. This is what I'm gonna do. So for those that are listening right now, Vicki called after we finished the show on Wednesday. So this is recorded, but I'm gonna play this on Thursday. So if people are hearing this live, it's on Thursday. This is aiden's birthday. He's 18 today. And then if he misses it, then he needs to go to the Bobby Bones show podcast and do that there. Okay.
Caller or Guest
Yeah, we usually listen to the podcast, but I might purposely make him make sure he's listening on the radio, too.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Vicky, that's awesome. Sounds like he's a great kid. I'm super proud for you to be proud from him. And thank you for listening to the show.
Caller or Guest
Yes. Thank you, guys. Have a good day.
Bobby Bones
Hey, Vicki, let me ask you a question before you hang up. What time do you guys listen?
Caller or Guest
Yeah, it really depends. He usually listens to the podcast and it's usually the day after. So that's why I wanted to call today so that he would hear it.
Bobby Bones
Would you rather me put it on today's podcast for tomorrow or put it on tomorrow's live show?
Caller or Guest
It really doesn't matter. Well, actually, preferably today, if you don't mind, because I know. I know for a fact that he will listen to this tomorrow.
Bobby Bones
Then I will put this on today's since we're recording it on Wednesday on Wednesday's podcast, and then he'll hear it on Thursday. Happy birthday, Aiden.
Caller or Guest
Awesome. Thank you. I really appreciate it.
Bobby Bones
Bye, Vicki.
Caller or Guest
Goodbye, Bones.
Bobby Bones
All right, did I do a story or did I just talk?
Co-host or Female Panelist
You didn't do a story, I don't think.
Bobby Bones
Let me see if my niece ever responded. I asked one of my teachers, but I don't know how much. She said around 500.
Co-host or Male Panelist
500? For what?
Bobby Bones
All three of them to get their.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Oh, is that right? I mean, I was thinking 120 per person and then tip.
Bobby Bones
Okay, I'll say I'll pay forever Prom, all three of you, but use it for that. Deal. Do you guys have all the things? Like Venmo Cash app.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Don't have Cash app.
Bobby Bones
I have venmo. Cash app, PayPal. I don't have Zelle.
Co-host or Male Panelist
I have Zell.
Bobby Bones
Sometimes people go like, can you give me Zell? And I'm like, I don't have Zell. Is Zell. Just want a regular one, like normal, like all the others.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Chase. Yeah, they've chased that, but, well, or
Morgan
it's just a bank. I have bank of America. So, like, it goes through your bank versus.
Bobby Bones
Well, I have a bank. I have a bank of accounts.
Morgan
Like, I do it literally through my bank app to do Zelle.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I don't have Zell.
Morgan
I don't know if it has its
Co-host or Female Panelist
own app, but man, there are some of these basketball tournaments that we go to where they're just like, cash only. And it throws people for a loop. They're just like, what? Like, where's the nearest atm? Like, I don't know. Not our problem. Go find cash. And people get upset.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, it is weird.
Bobby Bones
Okay, I'll do a story. Sam Hunt's the latest country star to join the billions club.
Co-host or Male Panelist
The what?
Co-host or Female Panelist
He's worth a billion dollars.
Co-host or Male Panelist
You mean streams?
Bobby Bones
Streams.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Oh, my gosh. I was like. I was having a heart attack. Check my stress levels.
Bobby Bones
What other country artists that have songs that have streamed a billion. Morgan Wallen, three times, Post Malone, Luke Combs three times, Shabuzzi Dan and Shea, Zach Bryan twice. Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton and Florida Georgia Line. Have one song. And I still. I'm just. I didn't mean to go here on this because that wasn't the plan. But when I go, hey, here's the tier of country music. Tier one is Wallen and Combs and Zach Bryan and people like, you're crazy. Putting Zach. Zach Brian's the only country artist that has two. Wallen and Combs, F3. Zach Brian has two, and there are no other ones. Everybody else has one. He doesn't have songs that are played on the radio, but you don't have to have radio to have a massive song anymore. You can have. There can be 1100 ways to do that. It definitely helps, but yeah. So big congrats to Sam Hunt. All right, everybody. Good.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Good.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Let me check my stress level real quick.
Co-host or Female Panelist
I bet you I don't have an aura ring, but I bet you on Fridays before the kids get out of school, I have like, like two o' clock on Fridays. I bet you I get triple crowns every week.
Bobby Bones
You don't understand how. You don't understand the lingo.
Co-host or Female Panelist
So that's like the best of the best.
Bobby Bones
You don't get triple crown for nine.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Yeah, but it's part of your sleep.
Bobby Bones
You get triple crown for sleeping. Sleep.
Co-host or Female Panelist
Okay. Thought my numbers would be perfect.
Bobby Bones
Hey, dude, don't be stupid.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Your vitals
Bobby Bones
uneducated.
Co-host or Female Panelist
I don't think with my vitals I'd get a triple crown. That'd be bad. No good vitals stress right now doing pretty good. Amy, flip them off real quick.
Bobby Bones
103. Oh, my God. All right, thank you, guys. We'll see you tomorrow. All right, bye, everybody.
Co-host or Male Panelist
Bye.
Caller or Guest
This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human.
In this vibrant and candid episode of The Bobby Bones Show, Bobby updates listeners on the “tough love” approach he's taken with his niece during her prom season, reveals the surprising things that stress him out, and the team dives deep into a shocking caller discussion about teachers who cross boundaries with students. The episode’s tone is light, comedic, and at times deeply reflective, blending Bobby’s signature hard-hitting honesty with the show’s trademark banter.
Candid, fast-paced, playful, and at times deeply earnest—this episode offers a behind-the-scenes look at Bobby’s family life, cultural skepticism, and the timeless, troubling stories that remake themselves in every generation. The show blends hard truths (“tough love”) with good-natured humor, while callers and co-hosts bring the heart and poignancy.
Even as the headlines shock us, Bobby and crew’s openness is a reminder that tough conversations—about family, integrity, or social trust—are best handled with both honesty and compassion. Families grow together, words matter less than intentions, and history is never as new as it seems.
