Before we had AT and T Business Wireless coverage, our delivery GPS wasn't the most reliable. Once our driver had to do a 14 point turn to get back on route. A 14 point turn. An influencer even livestreamed the whole thing. Not good for business. Now with AT and T Business Wireless, routes are updating on the fly and deliveries are on time. And the influencer did get us 53 new followers though.

Lauren came in hot. Hey y', all, what's up? It's Lauren LaRosa and this is another episode of the Latest with Lauren LaRosa. This is your daily dig on all things pop culture, culture, entertainment, news and all of the conversations that shake the room, baby. So we always kick off the show with a behind the scenes of the grind check in. My low riders who have been here and are not new here, y' all know this is how we do. For everyone who is just tuning in for the very first time on this episode, the behind the scenes of the grind check in is where we really take a second to see how we're doing. Like, really check in on how we're feeling. Because when you bobbing, weaving, moving, shaking, grinding, hustling, whatever you call it, you don't take the time to do that pretty often. I know I don't. So I built it into this show so that I could intentionally take the time to do that daily. So let's get into it. So checking in behind the scenes of the grind today, I am ending the week feeling like I'm finally in control of my week. A lot of times I think the top of the week has the energy of like, go, go, go, go, go. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Everything's so urgent. Everything's so urgent. And toward the end of the week, it's like, okay, I'll get to it when I can and I'll prioritize, I'll figure it out. But I think this week, with starting on that high and, you know, things calming down toward the end of the week, I always try to look back on whatever feelings it is that I'm feeling about anxiousness or not being in control of things and figure out, like, why I was feeling that way so that the next time that that feeling comes up, I know how to combat it. This week, I think I felt like that, number one because of a lack of sleep. But I've been doing really good. Okay, I scheduled nap times all this week, and I have been honoring myself with making sure I stick to my nap time. But also, I think too, I've been letting the thought of FOMO creep in. And I think fomo, which is fear of missing out, people only talk about it in a sense of partying or not being able to or not being able to do fun things because of responsibilities or adulthood or whatever FOMO creeps into in the career building stage. And I think this week for me, the FOMO was the fear of not completing something by a certain time on other people's timelines. I learned this week that I had to get better at setting boundaries about what is actually feasible for me, no matter how urgent it is to another person. Let me explain. So there are things that will come up, whether it's task or it's ask that people have of you. Whatever the case may be, something can be super urgent in a person's life because it just is in the priority of the, of their life, their day, what's important to them, what they have to do and, or not, or lack thereof. Right? But it might not fit into your list of to do's and things and priorities the same way. Not that it's not important, not that it shouldn't get done, not that you won't get it done, but there may be other things that are more important that you have to prioritize in order to make sure that you as a whole are okay. Somebody told me today that I have to be selfish in this, this time period of my life. And I think coming to grips with that has been tough for me because just the word selfish itself feels so, so dark. It feels so lonely. It feels so vindictive and manipulative. Like, it just doesn't feel like you're a good person when you're saying, hey, I'm selfish. But I think as you're building something and as you're establishing yourself within any new space, arena, career, shoot, if you're a new mother, new father, whatever the case may be, that's one boundary that you should set as you're even learning how to set boundaries, is the ability to be a little bit selfish about yourself. So this week, I came out of this week understanding that I, I'm not okay with being selfish about, about me. And to some extent, on one hand, when it comes to just being morally like a good person and being able to, like, look out for the people who love me, look out for the people who. I feel like, even if it's not a love thing, right? Like, even if it's not family, friends, whatever, just, you know, do good to people that are doing good to you. And honestly, like, I've gotten to a point where now I feel like, all right, do good by the people who aren't good to you as well, because you're rewarded for that. And not even about the reward, but I don't know, I'm just. You just, I'm. I'm just in such a blessed space right now that that's just like where my mind is. But I don't think, on the other hand, being selfish has to feel like the opposite of everything I just mentioned. I think that being selfish for yourself, in terms of understanding that it's okay to say no, it's okay to say, not right now. It's okay to say, I'm not capable of having this conversation. It's okay to say, hey, I Think this relationship needs to end. It's okay to say, hey, I think this business idea, this interview, this story, like, all these, it's okay to say, no, it's not for me. I've never been really good at that. To a certain extent, like, for me, it's like, it has to get to the extreme. And it's crazy, like, to even hear myself say this because I'm really blunt with certain things. I'm very like, if I don't like it, I don't like it. If I don't want to do it, I don't want to do it. But for some reason, when it comes to just certain things, career is one of them. I think it's like a scarcity mindset, but it's also like a. If I'm being honest, I think it gets a little people pleasing too, where I don't set the boundaries that I need to set. And then I find myself stretched really thin. I find myself backed against the wall. I find myself mad at people because of the position that I'm allowing them to put me in. Just a ton of different things. So that was like an honest revelation this week as I was trying to catch up with my week and catch up with all the things. And we added Netflix live into our daily broadcast for the Breakfast Club. So with that comes an extra meeting a day and more people to talk to throughout the day when I'm already burnt out, you know, to a certain extent, because we talk all day long. So, yeah, it's like a push. You know how you. Like, you're trudging up that hill, and it's like, once you get over the hump, you're gonna be good. It's gonna be smooth sailing. I'm not. I'm not over my hump yet, but I'm still trudging up the hill. So it's like I'm stepping over all these rocks as I'm trudging, and I'm learning things as I'm stepping. And this week I feel like I learned physically because my. I was so drained physically and, like, you know, I was pushing through in performance at work and in personal life because I wasn't doing well at being selfish, period. And that's. That's where I'm at. And that's what I've realized this week. So hope you guys are taking, you know, as the week winds down, I hope you guys are taking some time to just think about, like, you know, what this week has meant to you, what has made you feel, why you felt that way and use it to move forward. Because I'm already putting some things into position as I think about all right, like what do I need to be more selfish about? That's going to be like my next journal entries. Like what do I need to be more selfish about? And I was going to write what do I need to be more selfish about? And then write why. But I don't even want to write why because I don't want to have to explain it. I'm going to write what I need to be more selfish about and how it's going to benefit me once I do it. I'm going to approach it that way because I think by writing why, I'm discounting my feelings and my experience. I know why. I don't have to explain it. I don't have to explain it to myself. I don't have to make it make sense. I just need to execute on it and set the boundary. Be a little bit more selfish. Well, speaking of being selfish, let's get on into the latest hey, it's Ryan

All right, y'. All. So the Knicks, the Finals, the spurs have been my life for the last couple days. If you guys are under a rock, I don't know how you didn't know that this was going on, but the Knicks and the spurs have been facing off game three, game four. So there's been a lot of reporting that we've been doing on it over on the Breakfast Club, but we're going to talk about it today for a second only because one of our reports made it to page six. And I was like, all right, like, speaking of being selfish a bit, one person who was not selfish with her time and her energy recently, Taylor Swift. Now, I learned at the Grammys when Kendrick Lamar swept the Grammys right after Not Like Us. And she can. And Taylor Swift was in the crowd singing and having A good time. It was lit. I'm like, okay, baby girl. Seemed like a good time. I learned then that she was not selfish with her time and her experiences and her appearances. She likes to go out and have a good time. I don't care how famous she is. Taylor Swift did that at Game 4 of the Knicks, and it has been one of the talking points of the evening of her being there and is she a Knicks fan and all these things. Now, back in 2014, Taylor talked about how when she moved to New York, you know, she would go to the Knicks games often. And Ari Stoudemire, she was saying how him and his family, they were just so nice to her and so normal. And she just. As a new celebrity here in New York, she just really appreciated and she admired it. So it made her become a fan of the Knicks. So she's been a fan ever since. She's not somebody that we see at the games all the time. A few weeks ago, she was out at a gaming, a game for Cleveland with Travis Kelce, but this was different. She was at the Knicks game. She's in the gear. She's having a good time, dancing, doing all the things. I saw some people saying that the. The Knicks won and were able to make that comeback from the. You know, they were down 29 points and were able to make that comeback because she was in the building and because Wu Tang performed at halftime. You know, all the things, Right. But Page Six did a story on our reporting of it over at the Breakfast Club because I don't think nobody dislikes Taylor Swift over there. I just think it's like, they're not Swifty. They're not Taylor Swift fans. I talk about Taylor Swift because I admire how she's been able to build out her business. She's smart. I love watching women be smart in business, especially women in entertainment, because this is such a hard business to build out and sustain a career in. And she's doing it at one of the highest levels, and she does it and makes it look very effortless. But we just was joking around, having a good time, and Page Six picked up this reporting, and they say, here. Here's the. Here's the headline. Charlemagne. The guy brutally disses Taylor Swift courtside. Next appearance. Get the F out of here. Charlamagne got lashed out at Taylor Swift following the exuberant experience or appearance at Wednesday's NBA Finals. Knicks vs. First showdown. Why is Taylor Swift a New York Knicks fan? Breakfast Club host wondered during Tuesday's radio broadcast, how did this happen. Co host DJ Envy sarcastically chimed in, you're from Reading, Pennsylvania. Stayed down there with the Philadelphia 76ers, mind, y'. All. I've said to them multiple times, I didn't even know Taylor Swift was from Pennsylvania. But I'm not a Swiftie. I always knew her to claim Tennessee because that's where she grew up. So she showed up at game four. I told you guys. She had on the, you know, like, a custom New York Knicks setup. But the fact that she was out and about with her. Her ex at another game a few weeks ago, like, even analysts were confused as to why Taylor Swift was there. And I know that she's been living in New York. I know that she's been out and about in New York a lot more recently, as there have been reports that she's planning her wedding here. But people were wondering. I think it was honestly just like, you want something to poke fun at, and that's what it was. But when I saw this headline, I'm like, yo, people will make news out of anything. I'm people. People will make news out of anything. Because why is this a headline, y'? All? When I tell y', all, it was just. We were joke. It was just jokey, jokey, jokey, jokey, jokey. Like, it wasn't. I was very surprised to see this on the front page of Page Six. Like, when I say surprise, I mean super surprised. Like, they. They aimed this article as if Charlemagne has, like, this, like, rivalry with Taylor Swift. I wouldn't be surprised if the Swifties are in his comments at this point. But I will say it was pretty interesting watching her turn up at the game and them little dances she was doing with her homegirls. They're from a band. Somebody tweeted me the name of the band that they're from, and I'm like, so great to know that. But the focus of the reporting wasn't them. It was the fact that Taylor Swift was there. I mean, they were dressed alike with her, but. But, yeah, I mean, people are saying that Taylor Swift was a good luck charm. I know Jordan Wags. Jordan Wags, Wags. Wife and girlfriends of sports. I know Jordyn woods was as well. Her lucky bag was in the building. I wouldn't be mad to tell us if pops out at the next game. I actually wouldn't. Would love it because it gives the people who watch the games like me. Like, I am not a big sports fan. I don't have a team. I don't follow sports. When I watch sports, or games like this. I'm watching for the pop culture stuff. I'm watching to see what celebrities is there, what they doing, who they with. Man, look. Yesterday, another part of the game that stood out to me. Carmelo Anthony. In the midst of all of the Knicks conversation, there was a photo posted with him and a woman named Raquel who used to date another athlete. The people think. The people think that he is now in a new relationship. And I got quiet cuz I'm like, this is. This would be the first real public relationship since lala. Even though we knew that there were other women, unfortunately, because some of them were coming out while he was still dealing and ending things with lala. This would be the first actual public relationship that we've known of. And it's been some years, so I know that there's been relationships. But you know, if. If that photo was what we think it is, they made it IG official following the Knicks game. You also got, I mean, Rihanna, asap, Rocky running around after the game. And they outside till 4:30am and I'm looking at what she's wearing and that's the type of stuff I watch the game for. So I'm all here for Taylor Swift popping up. I have nothing against her, but it was funny to see her doing this little dance on the side of the. On the side of the. On the sidelines that celebrate. They call it Celebro celebrity row. I don't know the things that we make news. Sometimes I'd be like, all right y', all, like we. We gotta do a bit better. Because when I saw this article, I could. I literally was like, there's no way that, that our. Our segment became a front page news conversation just because they didn't want to tell the Swift at the game. But look, I don't know. The cr. Some of the craziest things in storylines are what people check into. And speaking of storylines. So there are reports right now that Taylor Swift is supposed to be getting married at Madison Square Garden. I kinda understand. I had said on the Breakfast Club, like not on Breakfast Club, but we were preparing our report behind the scenes and I said that I didn't think that this made sense, but now that I've been going down this rabbit hole of Taylor Swift and her love for New York, I kind of think it makes sense now because if she's such a big Knicks fan, if she is such a big, I love New York person, even though she is, you know, she, she not. She's not from New York. She moved Here, right? So she's. She's a transplant. Maybe an MSG is such a New York City staple. It's like the Empire State Building, right? Maybe the wedding at MSG is because of how much love Taylor Swift has for New York and for the city and Travis Kelce wants. Because I'm thinking about, like, me, like, when I get married, I always wanted a destination wedding, right? But even if I were to choose a destination, it would have to mean something to me. But I also am, like, you know, my grandmother doesn't fly. So I've always said when I get married, I want to do a very, like, traditional church wedding, but make it fly. Like, make it cover of essence, cover of Vogue, of course. But I want to do like, a very, like, traditional church wedding because I know how much that would mean to my family. And it would mean a lot to, like, the little girl in me who grew up in these traditional black churches who, like, there, it's just sacred, right? So taking it back to something that really means a lot to me, maybe there is something with Taylor Swift and MSG that we just don't know. Because even Dolan, James Dolan, who is one of the heads over there with the Knicks, right? He talked about Taylor Swift in the wedding. I think there is more here than we're gambling. Like, then we know. And I'm gonna figure it out because now I'm all up in the business. All right, now let's get. Let's. Let's get back to Juicy Door. Let's move on to the next story. So Drew Sidora, who's been going through a really public divorce, a divorce that almost left her homeless, almost after without a home, when a judge ordered her to evacuate the premises and then decided to stand down on that. The divorce has finally been finalized. So that story actually broke a few days ago. The divorce finalized. She was ordered to pay child support a little bit over $2,000. A little bit over $2,200 to her ex husband, Ralph Pittman, as a part of the divorce judgment because he was awarded full custody of their children. But yeah, she's finally divorced. So in a divorce docs, it came out that she makes around like $38,000 per month now. So Drew Sidor is on season 17 of Real Housewives of Atlanta. She is on the season alone with Portia Williams, Cynthia Bailey, Pinky Cole of Slutty Vegan Kelly, who is the owner of Mama's Chicken and Waffle. She's a newcomer. K. Michelle is also on the season, and they've made some headlines recently. Angela Oakley, Charles Oakley's wife. Who else am I forgetting? Shamia, my girl Shamia, who was at one point best friends with Portia. That's how we first met her on Real Houses of Atlanta. But. So her income was reported at $38,000 a month compared to Ross, which was $27,000 a month. Now, when more details about her divorce came out, it was revealed that she is making a little bit over $26,000 per episode. So she would have made a little bit over $465,000 just for season 17 of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Now, I saw some people talking shit about this $20,000 an episode. I'm not mad at that. I'm not mad at that at all. Like, yes, she's been on for a few seasons. Don't get me wrong. Drew has been on Real Housewives of Atlanta since season 13. So now this is her fourth season. So you would think that she would kind of be a little bit further along in the pay scale, but she's not. I mean, Drew is. Drew don't get. Drew is a. I feel like everything with the household, people always take it as shade when you're, like, just being honest. I'm a fan of Drew on the show. I think Drew. At first I was like, I don't know if she should be on the show because, like, I didn't really like outside of her marriage. I felt like the storyline kind of just like it wasn't really there. It wasn't really existent at all. In my opinion, once we got through all the drama with her marriage, I was like, okay, now what? But now I actually, I like Drew on the show. I feel like Drew has also come a long way with, like, understanding how to navigate tension with the girls and the clapbacks and all the things. So some people are arguing that, like, she should be a lot further along to be four seasons in. But I think that Real Housewives of Atlanta as a location, like, as a franchise, they've been struggling trying to figure out cast for a few years now. The first season that Drew was on, if I remember correctly, that was one of the first seasons where I remember they did all the big shakeups in the cast because Nene was no longer coming back. And then Cynthia Bailey was, like, there. But then she kind of faded out and only wanted to be a friend of the show because she's on the show now, but she's a friend of the show, even though she still has a big presence because she's an OG Kenya was on the show, and then Kenya got, you know, suspended indefinitely from the show. Like, there was a lot of changes within her first couple seasons. So there's a lot that, like, not only she had to prove, but the franchise itself had to reprove because we were missing a lot of the OG Girls. And people and fans were very vocal about that. So I think I understand the sentiment of, like, people saying, oh, wow, she should be making more by now in comparison to the other girls. But then I also don't. I feel like this is the first real season of Real Housewives of Atlanta where the show is, like, making headlines consistently. People care, and they're doing it without the OG Girls on it, without a lot of them on it. Like, you know, Portia carries the show, but, like, now a lot of the new girls are starting to get their own headlines. And that's what I mean by, like, people caring people always will care about Real Housewives. Atlanta is the best of the franchise, if you ask me. Headlines will always be there. But I feel like this is the first real season where the new girls are carrying headlines and not just, like, popping up in a real quick and then leaving. Like, it's like, continue. Like, every week you're seeing them trending. Every week you're seeing them in the news. And that matters because it draws the fans in for the next episodes. Right? So there was a some information circuit circulating, and it was a conversation about the highest earner peaks on Verjas in Atlanta. So according to reports, at one time Nene Lee peaked and she was making $2,850,000 per season. During her final season, Candi Burris reached up to 2,300,000 per season, making her one of the highest paid housewives of the franchise. Kenya Moore has committed salaries around 1,000,000 to 1,500,000 in her peaks, and they say this dipped to $500,000 during a contract renegotiation. Portia Williams reached heights between $1,300,000 and $2,000,000 per season at a peak of her tenure. Mind you, though, these are all women that they're naming that are. When I say, like, franchises on their back, like these. This is the Real Housewives of Atlanta. These women I just named a different game out here now in the reality TV streets, it's a completely different game. And that's why when Portia went back to Real Housewives of Atlanta, I was so happy. I was happy for her because Portia was always really smart, even when she wasn't on Housewives. About the move she made and the business she was doing. But I knew that she would be the leader of the pack because she's the OG girl. She's doing it all right. She's building business tremendously. Million dollar businesses at that. Storylines be on point. The look every time you see her is on point. Like, she is the essence of what a reality star is who then turns into a mogul from it. And the other girls just have to get in line and learn, like, regardless if they want to admit that or not. But I was excited for that reason, but. And I knew that it would have a trickle effect, right? Like, I knew that any of the other girls that were going to be on the show and step up and actually start becoming a high earner, start getting the camera time, the storyline, the headlines, we're going to have to get, get in the game. The look got to be together. The clapbacks got to be together. So it's like iron sharpens iron, basically. And I think Drew is sharpening. Like, I think she is. I think people should leave her alone about what she's making now because if you're watching the show, you know that, like, regardless if you love the storylines all the time or not, she's on her way. She is on her way in $22,000 per episode, $465,000 a year. That's a nice little bit of money. Okay. People was out here losing jobs. Shows is getting canceled. Tammy Roman had a lot to say about it. You guys remember Tammy was on Basketball Watch for some time. Let's take a listen. Good morning.
Tammy Roman
I was down to the blog People's Place, and I saw that they had released some information about Drew Sedora, who's on Real Housewives of Atlanta, her divorce. And I just wanted to say I think it's unfortunate that so much information is public, but what they were focusing on was her rate of pay. And I think the reports were that she makes $26,000 an episode. And so I'm nosy. So I went to the comments and there were people saying, oh, my God, that's so low.
Lauren LaRosa
She.
Tammy Roman
She ain't hardly making no money.
Lauren LaRosa
Who said that?
Tammy Roman
Because I'm about to tell y' all something. When I started Basketball Wives, I think it was 2010, I was making $2,500 an episode. I was still working my everyday job at Morgan Stanley, and I was flying down on the weekends for $2,500 an episode. Now, that's not what I made by the end of the show or whatever, but I just Want to say it's not a lot of people that's making 26,000. Okay. That are in the reality TV space. And the Real Housewives, they get about 24, 26 episodes. So when you do the math on that, I just wanted to come on here and say, Drew, in the event you were feeling minimized or people were making you, you know, feel away, girl, get your paper. Girl, get your coin. Cause mother was going for 2,500. So there's that.

And this is exactly what I mean by people are crazy. I don't think people understand. I think people see the glitz and the glam of television and they get it real confused real fast. Like, number one, almost any industry is a seniority based game. Like, you come in, man, look, I came into radio, I came into podcasting as the new kid in school. Just to be able to make anything, to afford anything off of anything that you are new at is a blessing in these industries. $2,500 an episode. I know people that are working in entertainment and television that are barely making that per episode. I don't care how much earning she got to go. First of all, y' all are comparing her to girls that lit. When I say literally, Housewives of Atlanta is on their back, I mean, we need to thank them that we have the franchise, because, baby, they carried it. Drew is not she it. She will be fine. She is developing. She is. I'm trying to. If y' all don't see it. Pinky Cole was another one, too, that I was really like. I don't know if it makes sense for her to be on the show. I kept saying, why did she decide to go on Housewives? I'm gonna be honest with y', all. And I know she comes from the TV world, so she knows what she's doing. But you can't fake the funk for too long on reality show TV because it'll get corny, It'll get cheesy, especially in the housewives world. I'm not mad at Pinky Cole either. And y' all be all in her business about money, too. The girls is maneuvering. I just hope Drew through all the mix and all the madness and people having conversations about her money and the eviction and the divorce, that she hears things like what Tammy has to say and stays sentos down. Because everybody has to start from somewhere. Everybody has to start from somewhere, like, literally. And a start is better than nothing. Some people ain't even got to start. All they got is an opinion in the comments. I'm Lauren LaRosa. This has been another episode of the Latest with Lauren LaRosa. I tell you guys, every single episode. You guys could be anywhere with any old body but you, you'd rather be right here with me talking about all of the things. I appreciate you guys so much every single time you tune in and I will catch you in my next episode. This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human.
