So first, this weekend, Saturday, August 1st, I'm going to be participating in a celebrity basketball game. No, I am not playing basketball, but it's a celebrity basketball game that opens up. That happens in my hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, every year. It's been happening since I was a kid. So they've been doing this well over, like, 15 years now through an organization called Duffy's Hope, which is an organization that, like, gives back in the community where I'm from and scholarships and just a ton of different things to help kids in the inner city figure things out in a real way. So excited to be doing that. Every year they bring, like, Lorenz Tate and some of the Power cast. I know Tariq was there one year or Michael Rainey Jr. I went and just was just there chilling one year when Cash Dog did the celebrity basketball game. Who else? Little Meech as well. There's always just a ton of love and a ton of support. Let me see who's actually there with me. Yeah. So this year they have DJ Diamond Cuts, who is a DJ in Philly. She actually works on the Breakfast club's sister station, Power 99. She's gonna be DJing. Michael Rainey and Gianni Paulo will be there as well. So Tariq and Brayden from Power. They also have Boots Ennis, who is a boxer, who we've interviewed on the Breakfast Club. Lorenz Tate, I told y', all, is there every year, which I love. I say that to say that there's like, a real commitment from a lot of the celebrities. Derek Milano, who is a actually writer, really very talented writer from Delaware. He's a music artist as well, too. Will also be there. Young Dylan will be there, who is a music artist as well. I know a lot of the kids go crazy about young Dylan. So it's gonna be. It's gonna be dope. I'll be there. It's gonna go down at the Chase Field House in Wilmington, Delaware, y'.

I mentioned power a bit and I think that it's a fine time to show 50 Cent and Courtney Kemp, who is one of the showrunners for the Power Universe, the power series that 50 Cent has going on. So some love, because they recently signed a deal with Netflix. This is a streaming deal. It's an international rollout that is expected to do that is expected to introduce millions of new viewers to the Power franchise, which was on Stars Again, which was created by Courtney Kemp. Courtney A. Kemp Black Woman and executive produced by 50 Cent. Now, this will start in November, and the entire Power universe will stream internationally across Netflix. So there's a lot of shows that you watch under Power. So you have the original Power, which followed. You have the original Power, which followed Amari Hardrick. Hardrick as Ghost St. Patrick. Then Power Book 2, and, you know, you met Tariq and who is Michael Rainey Jr. You met Tasha, who is Notori Naughton. You met all of these characters throughout the season, Tommy as well. And then the things just kept going. Power Book three, raising Canaan. Power Book four, Force, which is like Tommy Egan's like, own. That's his own story. There's been all of these iterations of the show which fans have become to know and love. And I think, like, whether you watch Power or any of these shows or not, because I do know that there's, like, always a conversation of, like, people who feel like they support the shows or who don't, because they don't like some of the depictions of, like, you know, the drug dealing, all that in the shows or whatever. I think overall, the stories that we see throughout the Power series are stories that we can. We can all like, even if you don't relate to, you've never experienced, you can understand, like, people that are making do with what they have, doing the best they can with what they got in my Mariah Carey voice to just get out of the circumstances that they are in and once they are there, trying to find that balance between who they were, who they are and where they're going and how that impacts generations to come. And I think in black households and those conversations not because of the choice of how they get in the money, right? Like, I'm not saying black households and drug dealing is synonymous. What I'm saying is that us trying to figure out how to break generational curses is such a thing. It's a thing that we talk about so much. It's a thing that, you know, we focus on so much because we want better as our kids come and as they grow up. And I think a lot of 50 cent shows even though they're wrapped up in all of the, the. The things and the variables, it gives that. And I think that that's why so many. So much audience correlates in response to it. The way that they do it invokes emotion, whether you love it or not. So amazing to see this go down. Congratulations to them. I think one of the biggest things to, you know, to. To think about when it comes to this is the expansion and, like, how it will open up the show to so many people who were not able to just watch it on Stars. I think about shows like Girlfriends, right? Who in September 2020, they got the. The whole girlfriend's show, the catalog with Tracee Ellis Ross and Golden and Jim Jill Marie Jones and, you know, like, that came to Netflix and there was a whole generation of young black people and black women who were able to watch this show and again, find their overarching themes that they related to and the storylines that they needed to get through certain things. And I remember being home with my mom during this time because, you know, around that time is when everything, you know, kicked off with her cancer battle. And I remember we just would sit and watch the shows and watch the episodes as if they were new on Netflix. And it caused so much conversation between me and my mom that when I was younger watching Girlfriends, we weren't having those conversations. Number one, my mom didn't even look at me as like a real person. I was just her baby and I was a child, and I didn't look at her as a real person. She was my mom, and I didn't understand that she also had a life and that, you know, some of the mistakes I would move on to later understand were just mistakes and her trying to do her best, I didn't understand them. But me being able to revisit that show at a different time period in my life, it changed the way that we were able to talk to each other. And I know, you know, you have the Parkers on Netflix now and you have Insecure, Issa Rae's Insecure on Netflix as well. Same thing. I remember going back and watching Insecure, Moesha, going back and watching Moesha and just the conversations it sparked, even if not in my household, but just in the community. So, you know, whether it's Power or whatever the series may be, I'm always excited for black storytellers, black talent and black centered narratives and conversations to get the eyes and the spotlights that they deserve. Always excited to see that. So congratulations to 50 Cent and all of his team. Over there. This is a. That's a huge thing for them, you know, can't knock the hustle. Or can I say that it's 50 and J cool? You never know. 50. Moving on.

I've been watching this wedding unfold on my timeline for like the last year. I feel like Tyler Lepley and Miracle Watts, actors finally got married in Los Cabos in Mexico. And oh my God, like, I just feel like I've been on this journey with them. I don't know them personally. I've interviewed Tyler Lepley once here at the Breakfast Club. It might have actually been twice. Yeah, twice here at the Breakfast Club. He actually came the last time. He was promoting Ruth and Boaz, a movie that he did with Devon Franklin under Devon Franklin's. Speaking of black storytellers under Devon Franklin's hat that he, that Von Franklin has with Tyler Perry Studios and Miracle Watts and him, you know, they met on the Centipede Valley some time ago and it's just blossomed from there. I literally feel like I've been a part of, like, watching this as it goes on. Like, you know, Miracle Watts was really good about documenting her journey, trying to figure out everything with the wedding and just documenting, you know, parts of their relationship a bit and you know how people always say, like, you don't never know what's going on in somebody's household. I get it, and I understand all that, but, like, it feels so good to see black young love on my timeline. You get on social media sometimes, and, you know, you have to really differentiate, like, what are real thoughts you should be having in a relationship or in your relationship and in your household, versus what are things that are conspired just for the clicks, the controversy in the engagement. And that's why I like to see couples that, like, from what it appears like, just genuinely effing enjoy each other. Y' all will remember the viral photo of Tyler Lepley and Miracle. Was it dancing in the club? And, like, she did, like, she's, like, on him, and it was like, the video. It turned into a photo, but there's actually a video that stems from of them dancing in the club. And it's just so passionate and intense. You felt that love throughout the wedding. There was a video that Miracle Watts posted, and it made me think about, like, just what kind of bride I was going to be. So she posted this video before the wedding. It was probably like, a week or so prior to the wedding, and she talked about being a type A type B. I'm sorry, a type B bride, and what she didn't have prepared because she's a type B bride. So for anybody that's wondering, a type B bride is a bride or a type B person. And I was trying to figure out, like, am I type B? Because I am. This kind of sounds like me as a person that's very relaxed, very easygoing, flexible, very go with the flow. And when it comes to a type B bride, that's the attitude that you apply to your wedding. So you're focusing more on, like, the overall experience in the, you know, trying to micromanage the small details. And when Miracle Watch posted this video talking about she didn't even have a wedding dress in her possession yet, and she was, like, less than a month out from the wedding. I got nervous for her, but it worked out. Let's take a listen.

Okay, so let's talk about a few things that I have not done as a type B bride with nine days until my wedding. All right, so number one, y' all gonna be mad at me. Listen, don't judge me. Number one, I still don't have a wedding dress. It actually should be here today, so we are hoping, you know, that it fits, and then everything is just perfect. Number two, I don't have A reception dress number three. No alterations. Obviously, I don't have any dresses, so no alterations have been done. I haven't completed my DIYs. I don't have any wedding shoes.

But, baby, let me tell you something. She talking about she had a dress. She had alterations, right? She didn't have a dress for her reception. When I say she looked beautiful, Essence did, like, an exclusive look into the wedding. I loved her wedding dress. What I loved about her wedding dress was the way. The shape of it. Like, it was very, like, bail. Like Southern belle. Like, the corset with the. You know, the pageant dresses, like, when I used to wear pageants, they would strap you in, and you have to suck up in the corset. And then the big poofy dress would come down. You'd be slim at the top, and it would poof out at the bottom. I don't even know what those are called, but y' all know what I'm talking about. The wedding dress gave that, but it was also, like, elegant. It had, like, you know, a little hint of sexy with the lace. And it was. She looked good. It worked out, baby. Okay. But I think what I love the most, and I've mentioned it a few times, was just how intimate and full of love the wedding seemed. And y' all are going to be like, well, duh, Lauren. It was a wedding. Of course, it was intimate and full of love. But let me tell y', all, a lot of people who are in the, like, entertainment space. Like, I've. I've watched and covered several celebrity weddings. And, you know, you see all of the, like, features in Essence or Vogue or, like, wherever. Whoever breaks into People magazine. Where they're doing like the wedding photos and they, you know, the pictures of the wedding party and you're seeing all the video and the content on social media. And a lot of times, like, yeah, you know, it's nice and it's. And there's love, but like, there's a difference. When you feel like people aren't concerned about the who's, who's and the attendance of the wedding and like actually loving each other. And you can tell the difference even if you don't know the people from the outside looking in. Like, you can feel the energy. The last big celebrity wedding was what, Travis Scott. But, like, we know that, like, she did it at Madison Square Garden. There were tons of celebrities. Like, there were celebrities that came out where I was like, how do y' all even know? I didn't even think y' all even knew them. Like, how did this even not knew them enough to go to their wedding? And don't get me wrong, you can have a big wedding and it still feel intimate and full of love. But I say all that to say, taking it as an example to say that a lot of times in the celebrity world, like, I think, you know, everything is about the headline and about the feature and about the write up and who's there. And they purposely. I was reading some of their Essence feature where Miracle Watts and Tyler Lepley are now. Miracle Lepley talked about how they wanted the complete opposite. Like, they really focused on making sure they had people who were a part of their lives for real. For real. And a part of their journeys at their wedding. And you felt it like from, you know, them rolling out the. The weekend that they had leading into the wedding and the fun that they were having and the partying to, you know, just the video. Watching Miracle walk Watts walk down the aisle to become Mrs. Lepley. When I say she was balling crying, I mean, I've never seen a bride cry as much. Normally the guy cries harder. And don't get me wrong, he was, he was crying too. But, like, she was. I was like, wow. Like, I felt the emotion even though it was short. It's like she didn't put as much as her ball and crying probably because she wanted to. You know, the makeup is hot, whatever. But I felt it like, I felt their, like, love for each other through social. So congratulations to them.

As they were awaiting Miracle to arrive on the aisle, and her mom and dad walked her down the aisle, by the way, Tyler Lepley came out, and he's just, like, entertaining the crowd. And, like, he came out to this song. He's dancing to the song, and he's just in such a good mood and, like, ready to receive his bride and the shot card. I'm like, yes, honey, I know that's right. Y' all better be young, have a good time, and enjoy it. One of my biggest things with marriage is I always tell myself that in my marriage, I want to be able to still enjoy myself. And I really want to be, like, real life friends with my partner, like, in a real way. Like, I think marriage is a thing where, like, the wedding and the ceremony can be so beautiful and the pictures and you have all these things. But there are a lot of marriages where, like, the foundation is, like, so the complete opposite. And the people who I listen to and not even, like, listen to in a way of, like, every marriage is going to be different. Like, so not per se. Like, you know, you try to, like, mimic marriage because you don't know. But I do love talking to married People about being married. Like, I. I really do. Because for me, it's like I'm hearing and learning in real time tools that it takes to survive. The fact that, like, you're not the same person when you get married as you are two years into the marriage, one year stank, six months into the marriage, you know, things change. Babies, you know, even if you got a baby at the time of marriage, your baby gets older, think work changes, your body's change. Like, so I think that at the core of that, there has to be something very real. And everyone that I've spoken to has always said friendship and communication and relearning each other, like, never. It's gonna sound so cliche, but, like, never stopping. Like, you never stop, like, dating each other in a way. And I think, to me, I hear real foundation is friendship, communication. There's a lot that come with that, like, honesty, hard conversations, knowing that this is your person, you gonna have your best of your times with. Just. There's a lot of ups and downs that come with that. But friendship, like, I think that friendship is really, it goes without saying that like a friendship at the core of a marriage. And God, let me not forget that too, because that's the other thing too, that a lot of people tell me, like, having their religion and their faith be the center of it, along with the communication and the friendship. Because it just. There's a deeper meaning to marriage than just, you know, we're signing paperwork and now what's yours is mine and the business of it. You know, there. There are contracts that you sign. People do prenups. You know, there's marriage licenses. Like, there's paperwork to this. But the deeper substance of it and the way that you guys are equally yoked and the way that your lives change when that union becomes one I think is a testament to, like, where the relationship, like, starts. And maybe it's not situational, right. Of how it starts. Maybe it's, you know, where it starts in terms of, like, how you guys build through whatever those situations are that start the relationship. Like, I don't know. I just have loved watching them get married. Don't even know them personally, but I loved watching them get married. Oh, you know, another wedding I watched online and I was like, yes. Latoya and Rondo. Shout out to Toya. Shout out to my homegirl. She just went, congratulations to her as well too. She just welcomed second daughter together. But their third child, or not even a third, they're. I think it's like their fourth or fifth child because Rondo also has children prior to her. But watching their wedding to Latoya and Rondo, who played for the Lakers and retired from the NBA, I was like, man, this love is. And then it wasn't even about how grand it was. That was beautiful to see too. Especially knowing her, I felt like, you deserve this girl. Like, you were such a good woman, a good mother, a good partner. You deserve this fairy tale wedding. But it was also about, like, the basis and the core of the relationship that I was like, yes, Black love. Like go off we we Donovan and Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones, y' all up next. Oh, Mona Leo, too. Mona Leo had a really beautiful wedding too. Her and son of for Vegas, Mona Leah and son of Fort Vegas had a beautiful wedding as well too. And she had a beautiful daddy daughter moment because her dad was a cancer survivor. So, yeah, their moment during the wedding was like, I remember her posting about that and it made me tear up. But yeah, shout out to all the love in the room and all the new things and all the congratulations that we've talked about today because I don't know, man. Yeah, I might be headed there, y' all know, you know what I'm saying there. We'll see. We'll see what happens, okay? I know Tariq was there one year or Michael Rainey Jr. I went and just was just there chilling one year when Cash Dog did the celebrity basketball game. Who else? Little Meech as well. There's always just a ton of love and a ton of support. Let me see who's actually there with me. Yeah. So this year they have DJ Diamond Cuts, who is a DJ in Philly. She actually works on the Breakfast club's sister station, Power 99. She's gonna be DJing. Michael Rainey and Gianni Paulo will be there as well. So Tariq and Brayden from Power. They also have Boots Ennis, who is a boxer, who we've interviewed on the Breakfast Club. Lorenz Tate, I told y', all, is there every year, which I love. I mentioned power a bit and I think that it's a fine time to show 50 Cent and Courtney Kemp, who is one of the showrunners for the Power Universe, the power series that 50 Cent has going on. So some love, because they recently signed a deal with Netflix. This is a streaming deal. It's an international rollout that is expected to do that is expected to introduce millions of new viewers to the Power franchise, which was on Stars Again, which was created by Courtney Kemp. Courtney A. Kemp Black Woman and executive produced by 50 Cent. Now, this will start in November, and the entire Power universe will stream internationally across Netflix. So there's a lot of shows that you watch under Power. So you have the original Power, which followed. You have the original Power, which followed Amari Hardrick. Hardrick as Ghost St. Patrick. Then Power Book 2, and, you know, you met Tariq and who is Michael Rainey Jr. You met Tasha, who is Notori Naughton. You met all of these characters throughout the season, Tommy as well. And then the things just kept going. Power Book three, raising Canaan. Power Book four, Force, which is like Tommy Egan's like, own. That's his own story. There's been all of these iterations of the show which fans have become to know and love. And I think, like, whether you watch Power or any of these shows or not, because I do know that there's, like, always a conversation of, like, people who feel like they support the shows or who don't, because they don't like some of the depictions of, like, you know, the drug dealing, all that in the shows or whatever. I think overall, the stories that we see throughout the Power series are stories that we can. We can all like, even if you don't relate to, you've never experienced, you can understand, like, people that are making do with what they have, doing the best they can with what they got in my Mariah Carey voice to just get out of the circumstances that they are in and once they are there, trying to find that balance between who they were, who they are and where they're going and how that impacts generations to come. And I think in black households and those conversations not because of the choice of how they get in the money, right? Like, I'm not saying black households and drug dealing is synonymous. What I'm saying is that us trying to figure out how to break generational curses is such a thing. It's a thing that we talk about so much. It's a thing that, you know, we focus on so much because we want better as our kids come and as they grow up. And I think a lot of 50 cent shows even though they're wrapped up in all of the, the. The things and the variables, it gives that. And I think that that's why so many. So much audience correlates in response to it. The way that they do it invokes emotion, whether you love it or not. So amazing to see this go down. Congratulations to them. I think one of the biggest things to, you know, to. To think about when it comes to this is the expansion and, like, how it will open up the show to so many people who were not able to just watch it on Stars. I think about shows like Girlfriends, right? Who in September 2020, they got the. The whole girlfriend's show, the catalog with Tracee Ellis Ross and Golden and Jim Jill Marie Jones and, you know, like, that came to Netflix and there was a whole generation of young black people and black women who were able to watch this show and again, find their overarching themes that they related to and the storylines that they needed to get through certain things. And I remember being home with my mom during this time because, you know, around that time is when everything, you know, kicked off with her cancer battle. And I remember we just would sit and watch the shows and watch the episodes as if they were new on Netflix. And it caused so much conversation between me and my mom that when I was younger watching Girlfriends, we weren't having those conversations. Number one, my mom didn't even look at me as like a real person. I was just her baby and I was a child, and I didn't look at her as a real person. She was my mom, and I didn't understand that she also had a life and that, you know, some of the mistakes I would move on to later understand were just mistakes and her trying to do her best, I didn't understand them. But me being able to revisit that show at a different time period in my life, it changed the way that we were able to talk to each other. And I know, you know, you have the Parkers on Netflix now and you have Insecure, Issa Rae's Insecure on Netflix as well. Same thing. I remember going back and watching Insecure, Moesha, going back and watching Moesha and just the conversations it sparked, even if not in my household, but just in the community. So, you know, whether it's Power or whatever the series may be, I'm always excited for black storytellers, black talent and black centered narratives and conversations to get the eyes and the spotlights that they deserve. Always excited to see that. So congratulations to 50 Cent and all of his team. Over there. This is a. That's a huge thing for them, you know, can't knock the hustle. Or can I say that it's 50 and J cool? You never know. 50. Moving on.

I've been watching this wedding unfold on my timeline for like the last year. I feel like Tyler Lepley and Miracle Watts, actors finally got married in Los Cabos in Mexico. And oh my God, like, I just feel like I've been on this journey with them. I don't know them personally. I've interviewed Tyler Lepley once here at the Breakfast Club. It might have actually been twice. Yeah, twice here at the Breakfast Club. He actually came the last time. He was promoting Ruth and Boaz, a movie that he did with Devon Franklin under Devon Franklin's. Speaking of black storytellers under Devon Franklin's hat that he, that Von Franklin has with Tyler Perry Studios and Miracle Watts and him, you know, they met on the Centipede Valley some time ago and it's just blossomed from there. I literally feel like I've been a part of, like, watching this as it goes on. Like, you know, Miracle Watts was really good about documenting her journey, trying to figure out everything with the wedding and just documenting, you know, parts of their relationship a bit and you know how people always say, like, you don't never know what's going on in somebody's household. I get it, and I understand all that, but, like, it feels so good to see black young love on my timeline. You get on social media sometimes, and, you know, you have to really differentiate, like, what are real thoughts you should be having in a relationship or in your relationship and in your household, versus what are things that are conspired just for the clicks, the controversy in the engagement. And that's why I like to see couples that, like, from what it appears like, just genuinely effing enjoy each other. Y' all will remember the viral photo of Tyler Lepley and Miracle. Was it dancing in the club? And, like, she did, like, she's, like, on him, and it was like, the video. It turned into a photo, but there's actually a video that stems from of them dancing in the club. And it's just so passionate and intense. You felt that love throughout the wedding. There was a video that Miracle Watts posted, and it made me think about, like, just what kind of bride I was going to be. So she posted this video before the wedding. It was probably like, a week or so prior to the wedding, and she talked about being a type A type B. I'm sorry, a type B bride, and what she didn't have prepared because she's a type B bride. So for anybody that's wondering, a type B bride is a bride or a type B person. And I was trying to figure out, like, am I type B? Because I am. This kind of sounds like me as a person that's very relaxed, very easygoing, flexible, very go with the flow. And when it comes to a type B bride, that's the attitude that you apply to your wedding. So you're focusing more on, like, the overall experience in the, you know, trying to micromanage the small details. And when Miracle Watch posted this video talking about she didn't even have a wedding dress in her possession yet, and she was, like, less than a month out from the wedding. I got nervous for her, but it worked out. Let's take a listen.

Number two, I don't have A reception dress number three. No alterations. Obviously, I don't have any dresses, so no alterations have been done. I haven't completed my DIYs. I don't have any wedding shoes.

But, baby, let me tell you something. She talking about she had a dress. She had alterations, right? She didn't have a dress for her reception. When I say she looked beautiful, Essence did, like, an exclusive look into the wedding. I loved her wedding dress. What I loved about her wedding dress was the way. The shape of it. Like, it was very, like, bail. Like Southern belle. Like, the corset with the. You know, the pageant dresses, like, when I used to wear pageants, they would strap you in, and you have to suck up in the corset. And then the big poofy dress would come down. You'd be slim at the top, and it would poof out at the bottom. I don't even know what those are called, but y' all know what I'm talking about. The wedding dress gave that, but it was also, like, elegant. It had, like, you know, a little hint of sexy with the lace. And it was. She looked good. It worked out, baby. Okay. But I think what I love the most, and I've mentioned it a few times, was just how intimate and full of love the wedding seemed. And y' all are going to be like, well, duh, Lauren. It was a wedding. Of course, it was intimate and full of love. But let me tell y', all, a lot of people who are in the, like, entertainment space. Like, I've. I've watched and covered several celebrity weddings. And, you know, you see all of the, like, features in Essence or Vogue or, like, wherever. Whoever breaks into People magazine. Where they're doing like the wedding photos and they, you know, the pictures of the wedding party and you're seeing all the video and the content on social media. And a lot of times, like, yeah, you know, it's nice and it's. And there's love, but like, there's a difference. When you feel like people aren't concerned about the who's, who's and the attendance of the wedding and like actually loving each other. And you can tell the difference even if you don't know the people from the outside looking in. Like, you can feel the energy. The last big celebrity wedding was what, Travis Scott. Travis Scott, Travis, Kelsey, Taylor Swift. We didn't get a look really into their wedding, but people talked about how magical it was. Yeah, but people talked about how magical it was. But, like, we know that, like, she did it at Madison Square Garden. There were tons of celebrities. Like, there were celebrities that came out where I was like, how do y' all even know? I didn't even think y' all even knew them. Like, how did this even not knew them enough to go to their wedding? And don't get me wrong, you can have a big wedding and it still feel intimate and full of love. But I say all that to say, taking it as an example to say that a lot of times in the celebrity world, like, I think, you know, everything is about the headline and about the feature and about the write up and who's there. And they purposely. I was reading some of their Essence feature where Miracle Watts and Tyler Lepley are now. Miracle Lepley talked about how they wanted the complete opposite. Like, they really focused on making sure they had people who were a part of their lives for real. For real. And a part of their journeys at their wedding. And you felt it like from, you know, them rolling out the. The weekend that they had leading into the wedding and the fun that they were having and the partying to, you know, just the video. Watching Miracle walk Watts walk down the aisle to become Mrs. Lepley. When I say she was balling crying, I mean, I've never seen a bride cry as much. Normally the guy cries harder. And don't get me wrong, he was, he was crying too. But, like, she was. I was like, wow. Like, I felt the emotion even though it was short. It's like she didn't put as much as her ball and crying probably because she wanted to. You know, the makeup is hot, whatever. But I felt it like, I felt their, like, love for each other through social. So congratulations to them.

They had a shot cart. Okay. Come down the aisle. As they were awaiting Miracle to arrive on the aisle, and her mom and dad walked her down the aisle, by the way, Tyler Lepley came out, and he's just, like, entertaining the crowd. And, like, he came out to this song. He's dancing to the song, and he's just in such a good mood and, like, ready to receive his bride and the shot card. I'm like, yes, honey, I know that's right. Y' all better be young, have a good time, and enjoy it. One of my biggest things with marriage is I always tell myself that in my marriage, I want to be able to still enjoy myself. And I really want to be, like, real life friends with my partner, like, in a real way. Like, I think marriage is a thing where, like, the wedding and the ceremony can be so beautiful and the pictures and you have all these things. But there are a lot of marriages where, like, the foundation is, like, so the complete opposite. And the people who I listen to and not even, like, listen to in a way of, like, every marriage is going to be different. Like, so not per se. Like, you know, you try to, like, mimic marriage because you don't know. But I do love talking to married People about being married. Like, I. I really do. Because for me, it's like I'm hearing and learning in real time tools that it takes to survive. The fact that, like, you're not the same person when you get married as you are two years into the marriage, one year stank, six months into the marriage, you know, things change. Babies, you know, even if you got a baby at the time of marriage, your baby gets older, think work changes, your body's change. Like, so I think that at the core of that, there has to be something very real. And everyone that I've spoken to has always said friendship and communication and relearning each other, like, never. It's gonna sound so cliche, but, like, never stopping. Like, you never stop, like, dating each other in a way. And I think, to me, I hear real foundation is friendship, communication. There's a lot that come with that, like, honesty, hard conversations, knowing that this is your person, you gonna have your best of your times with. Just. There's a lot of ups and downs that come with that. But friendship, like, I think that friendship is really, it goes without saying that like a friendship at the core of a marriage. And God, let me not forget that too, because that's the other thing too, that a lot of people tell me, like, having their religion and their faith be the center of it, along with the communication and the friendship. Because it just. There's a deeper meaning to marriage than just, you know, we're signing paperwork and now what's yours is mine and the business of it. You know, there. There are contracts that you sign. People do prenups. You know, there's marriage licenses. Like, there's paperwork to this. But the deeper substance of it and the way that you guys are equally yoked and the way that your lives change when that union becomes one I think is a testament to, like, where the relationship, like, starts. And maybe it's not situational, right. Of how it starts. Maybe it's, you know, where it starts in terms of, like, how you guys build through whatever those situations are that start the relationship. Like, I don't know. I just have loved watching them get married. Don't even know them personally, but I loved watching them get married. Oh, you know, another wedding I watched online and I was like, yes. Latoya and Rondo. Shout out to Toya. Shout out to my homegirl. She just went, congratulations to her as well too. She just welcomed second daughter together. But their third child, or not even a third, they're. I think it's like their fourth or fifth child because Rondo also has children prior to her. But watching their wedding to Latoya and Rondo, who played for the Lakers and retired from the NBA, I was like, man, this love is. And then it wasn't even about how grand it was. That was beautiful to see too. Especially knowing her, I felt like, you deserve this girl. Like, you were such a good woman, a good mother, a good partner. You deserve this fairy tale wedding. But it was also about, like, the basis and the core of the relationship that I was like, yes, Black love. Like go off we we Donovan and Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones, y' all up next. Oh, Mona Leo, too. Mona Leo had a really beautiful wedding too. Her and son of for Vegas, Mona Leah and son of Fort Vegas had a beautiful wedding as well too. And she had a beautiful daddy daughter moment because her dad was a cancer survivor. So, yeah, their moment during the wedding was like, I remember her posting about that and it made me tear up. But yeah, shout out to all the love in the room and all the new things and all the congratulations that we've talked about today because I don't know, man. Yeah, I might be headed there, y' all know, you know what I'm saying there. We'll see. We'll see what happens, okay? But just know wherever outlet does the write up about my wedding, that, that feature, I. I need video, I need written. We might have a live podcast stage. The people need to get this, okay? They need to feel this. Nah, I'm joking. He ain't gonna let me do a live podcast stage. He might, though.
