Charlamagne tha God
Yo. Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo.
Just Hilarious
Jess.
DJ Envy
Hilarious.
Just Hilarious
Good morning, Charlemagne the God.
Charlamagne tha God
Peace to the planet. It's Tuesday. How y' all feel out there? I feel blessed. Black and highly favored. Happy to be here another day to serve our beautiful listeners. What is happening?
Just Hilarious
What's up, Jess? How you feeling, man?
Lauren LaRosa
I don't know. I don't. Right. Because I am set to go on a cruise, 2026, right? But I was watching this documentary on Netflix. Yo, it's called Amy Bradley is Missing. And that will change your whole perspective. Probably not, y'.
Caller
All.
Lauren LaRosa
Cause y' all don't really care about stuff like that, but, yo, that would change your whole perspective of going on cruises. Yo, this girl, of course it was 1998 or whatever, but she just went missing. She just vanished in the middle of the night.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, that could happen to you anywhere. Not even on a boat.
Lauren LaRosa
I know, but like the.
Charlamagne tha God
But abracadabra.
Lauren LaRosa
It just seems. Don't do me like that.
Charlamagne tha God
What happened, because.
Lauren LaRosa
No, it just seems like, yo, even in the documentary. All right, so our parents are still looking for her till this day, right? Like 20 years ago, she just vanished. And the last. She was last seen with the bass player or whatever. The bass player. They were in Curacao, right? And it was a. It was a cruise. It went from Curacao to Barbados to, like, all these different. And so what you ban on international waters, there's no jurisdiction for nobody to come and lock you up, even if they think you did something. So you can get away with all types of sex trafficking. And at that time, a lot of.
Just Hilarious
Like, yes, you go with your husband.
Charlamagne tha God
Going, Yeah, I was about to say, how was she traveling? Was she traveling alone?
Lauren LaRosa
No, with her family. She wasn't doing it by herself.
DJ Envy
It was her.
Lauren LaRosa
Her brother and her two parents.
Charlamagne tha God
That's hard.
Lauren LaRosa
And they looked out there. They saw at 5:30. She was sitting on. She was sitting on the balcony, six o'. Clock. Her father looked up there. She wasn't out there no more.
Charlamagne tha God
How old was she?
Lauren LaRosa
23.
Charlamagne tha God
Yep.
Lauren LaRosa
Amy Bradley. But it was so many people, like, saying, like, oh, I remember when this happened. And da, da, da, da. Not the cruise line was in on it. And even in the documentary or the director of the. Of the cruise was like, he didn't care. He was just like, I mean, we still had a cruise to go on. I mean, they. Her mother came to me and said that 7 o' clock in the morning, my daughter is missing. Can you make a voice announcement? He was like, no, we're not gonna interrupt.
Charlamagne tha God
On the water or did she go missing? When they stopped somewhere, it was on the water. Oh, yeah, you can't. Ain't nobody getting off this boat till we find my daughter then that.
Lauren LaRosa
Exactly. But they was like, no, we're not. No, the cruise still goes on. Like, maybe she jumped.
Charlamagne tha God
Maybe she was there. No video of her falling off.
Lauren LaRosa
No, no, because all the blind spots, like, yo, somebody took the girl off of the boat and had her on the island and she was sex trafficked. She probably still some way over there to this day. Like, if they didn't kill her, if she's not dead or whatever, somebody from.
Charlamagne tha God
Carnival or some cruise company is listening right now. Like, God damn it. Just hilarious.
Lauren LaRosa
I'm Royal Caribbean.
Just Hilarious
Well, I was gonna ask, you going on a family cruise or are you just going? It's family.
Lauren LaRosa
Family. But I probably won't. It's. It's crazy.
Just Hilarious
I used to go on cruises all the time.
Lauren LaRosa
Nobody wants you. Heavy.
Just Hilarious
It's probably one of the safest now because they got cameras everywhere.
Charlamagne tha God
How long ago was that?
Just Hilarious
How long?
Lauren LaRosa
The 90s? 98.
Just Hilarious
This was 98.
Lauren LaRosa
I know, but it was. It's just sad.
Just Hilarious
They have cameras everywhere.
Charlamagne tha God
People still go missing, though.
Lauren LaRosa
I get what you say.
Charlamagne tha God
That's a warranted fear.
Just Hilarious
I recently went on a Disney cruise a couple of years ago, and that was. The kids had an amazing time.
Charlamagne tha God
You'd be all right. Well.
Lauren LaRosa
All right.
Charlamagne tha God
Thank you, killer. Jesus Christ. I just want to come in here, you know, make people laugh a little bit. Thank. A little bit here, you know, Here you go. Somebody's on their way to the cruise right now. Probably listening to the Breakfast Club. The boat at the dock, they on the way. They like, well, guys, God damn. Is this a sign? I didn't want to go anyway.
DJ Envy
I'm sorry, y'.
Caller
All.
Lauren LaRosa
No, don't even worry about it. Just go ahead, have fun.
Just Hilarious
You just ruin that. All right, well, comedian Nate Jackson will be joining us. He has a new Netflix comedy special called Super Funny.
Charlamagne tha God
It's been out since July 8th, July, if you haven't seen it yet. But you know, Nate is a person who, you know, been around for a while, specializes in crowd work.
Commercial Voiceover
That's right.
Charlamagne tha God
You know, and that's what the I'm not. That's not what all of the Super Funny special is about. But you know, it's a large part of it. But if you know Nate Jackson, you know him from probably a lot of his crowd work and he's going to be on the spin off of the office that's coming out.
Caller
Yep.
Charlamagne tha God
I don't know if you call it a spin off, though.
Lauren LaRosa
It's called the Paper.
Charlamagne tha God
The Paper. Yeah.
Just Hilarious
Well, they say it is the spin off. In the report that they released, they.
Charlamagne tha God
Said it is universe. Yeah.
Just Hilarious
All right, well, let's get the show cracking. We got front page news. A lot to discuss went on in New York City yesterday. Hopefully Morgan will break it all down. So don't go anywhere. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Charlamagne tha God
Morning, everybody.
Just Hilarious
It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlemagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get in some front page news. Good morning, Morgan.
Charlamagne tha God
Good morning, y'. All.
Morgan
How y' all feeling on a Tuesday? I know there's grim news coming out of New York.
Charlamagne tha God
Blessed black and Holly family. All right. I love to hear it.
Morgan
All right, let's get into it. So five people are dead, including the gunman, after a shooting at 345 Park Ave. In Midtown Manhattan. It happened around 6:30pm on Monday evening when a man identified as 27 year old Shane Tamura entered a skyscraper with an M4 rifle and began opening fire. Now, he traveled across country from Las Vegas before arriving into New York City. And he does have a history of mental illness. Initially, the NYPD said the shooter had been neutralized, but several sources later indicated that he died of a self inflicted gunshot wound. Now, during a press conference, New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch described the shooting and said the motive remains unclear. Let's take a listen to those comments.
Lauren LaRosa
In part, the building security camera footage.
Charlamagne tha God
Shows the shooter enter the lobby, turn right and immediately open fire on an NYPD officer.
Lauren LaRosa
He then shoots a woman who took.
Charlamagne tha God
Cover behind a pillar and proceeds through the lobby, spraying it with gunfire. According to our law enforcement partners In Las Vegas, Mr. Tamora has a documented mental health history.
Lauren LaRosa
His motives are still under investigation and.
Charlamagne tha God
We are working to understand why he.
Lauren LaRosa
Targeted this particular location.
Charlamagne tha God
Horrible, man. You hear stories like that and you want to know the motive immediately, right? Like you want to know his background as well. So you hear he had a mental illness. So then you ask yourself, well, how did he get a gun? We know how. It's America. Guns are easier to get than affordable health care in this country.
Just Hilarious
Legal gun. I, I read something this morning, actually I heard it on the news on the way in. They said that he said something about complaining about CTE and blamed it on the NFL and they said that the NFL was in that building.
Charlamagne tha God
Was he a former NFL player?
Just Hilarious
No.
Morgan
Oh no, he was not. He was a high school football player though. So maybe he had big dreams. So Tish went on to say that the gunman's car contained a rifle case with rounds, a loaded revolver, ammunition and magazines. Now, three men, one and one woman were shot and killed after the SUSP sprayed bullets in the lobby and went up to the 33rd floor before shooting himself in the chest. Among those victims was Diderol Islam, an off duty New York police officer who was working security at the skyscraper where the shooting happened. He's a married 36 year old father of two with a third child on the way. Police Commissioner hailed the late officer as a hero. Let's take a listen to his, those. Excuse me, Tish's comments. Police Commissioner Tish's comments.
Charlamagne tha God
Officer Islam was married with two young boys. Horrible man. His wife is pregnant with their third child.
Lauren LaRosa
He was doing the job that we asked him to do.
Charlamagne tha God
He put himself in harm's way.
Lauren LaRosa
He made the ultimate sacrifice.
Charlamagne tha God
Shot in cold blood. He died as he lived.
DJ Envy
A hero.
Charlamagne tha God
Rest in peace to that brother, man, his family. That is horrible. I was looking at that video, doing not the video to steal pictures. How you just walk across the street in New York with a big ass rifle in broad daylight. It feels like it's a police officer on every corner in New York City. No cops were on the corner and saw that happening. Like a guy just walking across the street with this big ass rifle, parked.
Just Hilarious
His car right in the front and got out and started walking, which is crazy.
Charlamagne tha God
That's insane.
Just Hilarious
That's crazy.
Morgan
So apparently that officer, the officer Islam, he was the first to essentially, you know, see him. And because he saw him walking towards that building and once he entered that building, he engaged with that shooter. So Tish did go on to extend sympathy to the victims and their families. In addition to the NYPD officers who lost a brother, now New York City Mayor Eric Adam he actually opened a press conference talking about that officer who was killed. Let's take a listen and learn more.
Caller
He served in the 47th Precinct, was just 36 years old.
Charlamagne tha God
Damn.
Caller
Three and a half year veteran of the department. He was doing what he does best and all members of the police department carry out. He was saving lives, he was protecting New Yorkers. He's an immigrant from Bangladesh and he loved this city. And everyone we spoke with stated he was a person of faith.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Morgan
So photos have emerged of that suspect. Like you see, you said in indicated envy and Charlemagne of him showing, carrying that high powered rifle and going into to that building on Park Avenue. That building as you mentioned as well, is home to the NFL.
Charlamagne tha God
So his name is Shane Tomorrow, Right, Shane Tomorrow.
Morgan
Shane Tamora is the, is the suspect not the.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, the alleged suspect. Well, we say alleged because you still have to. But yeah, clearly what happened. We know what happened. But he ultimately killed himself, right?
Just Hilarious
Yeah, he killed himself.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes, he did.
Morgan
Yes, he did.
Just Hilarious
I'm, I'm, I'm like thinking what you thinking, Charlemagne? Like if he had cte, right? And we know he had mental health problems this early on, that means it had to be documented. How was he able to get a legal firearm?
Charlamagne tha God
Because this is America. You be asking questions you know the.
Just Hilarious
Answer to because he had a legal fight.
Charlamagne tha God
This is America.
Lauren LaRosa
And then if you. And then just things like this, right? And this may seem very insensitive, but if you go, you know you're gonna kill yourself after you do this. Just kill yourself first.
Charlamagne tha God
I always say that like this doesn't make sense to me, you know, you.
Lauren LaRosa
Gonna take yourself out. Just why, why you?
Charlamagne tha God
Why? You ain't gotta hurt nobody else. Yeah, start with yourself. If you start with yourself, then you know innocent people will not be killed. Start with yourself. That's right. I feel the same exact so damn way. Yeah. You know, I'm not encouraging it, but I'm saying if you get to that point where you feel like, you know, you want to go out and you feel like you got to take a bunch of other people with you. No.
Lauren LaRosa
Right.
Charlamagne tha God
Do us all a favor and start with yourself, please.
Just Hilarious
All right, well, that is front page news. We'll see you next hour, Morgan.
Morgan
All right, Presidential news coming up at seven. Y' all stick around.
Just Hilarious
Everybody else, get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, phone lines are wide open. Again, 800-585-1051. Get it off your chest. It's the Breakfast Club. Good Morning.
Caller
The Breakfast Club.
Charlamagne tha God
Ray. Ray. Ray. Yo, Charlamagne, Envy, what up? Are we live?
Caller
This is your time to get it off your chest.
I got an indoor pool, an outdoor pool.
We want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club.
Charlamagne tha God
We can get on the phone right now.
DJ Envy
Here.
Charlamagne tha God
Tell you what it is.
Caller
We live.
Charlamagne tha God
Hello?
Just Hilarious
Who's this?
Caller
Hey, how are you?
Just Hilarious
Hey, good morning. How you feeling?
Caller
I'm sorry to get in here, but yourself bless.
Charlamagne tha God
Black and Holly favorites.
Just Hilarious
Good mama.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes.
Caller
Good morning, guys. Good morning, Jazz.
Lauren LaRosa
Hey, girl.
Caller
Follow me. It's your homegirl from the843.
Charlamagne tha God
843. What's happening? How you feeling?
Caller
I am awesome. I am so awesome. But as you guys are telling the story about the officer and because I haven't heard that story yet. I was stuck in a dealership all last night when my daughter With a car. I don't know anything that's been happening yesterday or. But I didn't have a reaction to it and that. I caught myself not having a reaction to that. And I'm like, man, this is crazy that I don't want to normalize the violence in this country. Like, I don't want it to not bother me. You know, I want to be bothered by that.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, we are.
Caller
I caught myself just listening to you guys and not shrugging it off. And that's crazy to me.
Charlamagne tha God
We were just having that conversation. Yeah, we were just having that conversation behind the scenes. Yep. How we just desensitized to it.
Caller
We are so desensitized to crime that nothing moves us before or nothing. Sense goes down our back and finds about crime. And what does it take? We only have church shootings. We already had school shootings. We have had worse of the worst on so many different levels at so many different times. And nothing, nothing is staking the normalcy that we move forward with. I mean, I hear say, well, why this, that, and the other. But they show them in the state envy. This is America, and you can't listen. The people who write down laws are criminals. So how you gonna have laws when the people who write now laws are criminal?
Charlamagne tha God
Right?
Caller
We'll never have. We'll never be a country of laws where you got criminals writing it. But we got to start right here, one district at a time. If these people don't feel like our kids are important enough, we so busy. And I know I'm trying to shorten it next week. Next week, y' all is tax free for school. How about save some of that money because y' all might need it for A bulletproof book bag. If that don't shock you into this world.
Charlamagne tha God
Damn.
Caller
Because my grandkids had it last year. Why am I grandkids, bulletproof book bag. The freaking school, man.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, wow.
Caller
While we sit around and just go about our date.
Charlamagne tha God
You're absolutely right, man. We're so desensitized because we've seen the worst of the worst, you know, the Sandy Hooks, the Emmanuel Ame's in Charleston. We know America is a country that celebrates gun culture. We know America is a country that, you know, glorifies violence. And all of us are just trying to go about our day and make it home to our families, but it's just like, yo, we really can't be like that. We got to be connected, and we got to be community, and we got to care about what's going on out here. But we just be like, God bless thoughts and prayers, sending healing energy to these folks that, you know that. That happens to. And you just hope that, you know, it's not your turn anytime soon.
Just Hilarious
And it's crazy. She talked about the bulletproof book bag, right? I was looking at them last year, I seen them online, and I was like, do I want to traumatize my kids and tell them to get this book bag and what to do if there is a problem? But then, you know, any loud bang that they hear, any alarm that they hear, they are so traumatized that they're living in fear all their life. And for a kid that just is just a normal kid, do you want to put that trauma on them?
Charlamagne tha God
And by the way, what's a bulletproof book bag going to do?
Just Hilarious
Well, they say you. You buy that book bag, so if there is a shooting, you put it.
Charlamagne tha God
In front of you. Okay?
Caller
Okay.
Charlamagne tha God
Okay. Get down.
Lauren LaRosa
Put it over your head.
Just Hilarious
Oh, you know, lay it. Get on the floor. Put it on you.
Charlamagne tha God
All we had to worry about was goddamn fire drills, right?
Just Hilarious
That's it.
Charlamagne tha God
You know what I'm saying? And occasionally a hurricane drill, because I'm from the South. But now you got to worry about. They're doing active shooter drills in schools. That's crazy.
Just Hilarious
All we had was fire drills and snow days. That's. That's all we had.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Just Hilarious
Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, hit us up now. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Caller
The Breakfast Club. This is your time to get it off your chest, Whether you're mad or blessed.
Charlamagne tha God
I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk. I hate the way that you dress everything with me is blessed.
Caller
Call up now, 800-585-1051.
Charlamagne tha God
Not just me, I'm with the culture feeling.
Just Hilarious
Hello? Who's this?
Caller
Good morning.
Charlamagne tha God
Good morning.
Caller
This is Victoria.
Just Hilarious
Now it says, hey, you're about to go on a cruise, and Jess is frightening you.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, my good. Of course. See what you done did?
Caller
Hey, man, I'm about to go. August 19th. Are you skipped.
Lauren LaRosa
I'm so sorry, Vic.
Charlamagne tha God
No, you're not.
Lauren LaRosa
I am. I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you're going. Listen, you. You better make sure you don't drink too late.
Charlamagne tha God
And.
Lauren LaRosa
Are you going by yourself?
Charlamagne tha God
On my honeymoon.
Just Hilarious
She going on a honeymoon? This lady has been shopping. She's buying matching outfits. And you didn't kill that for her.
Charlamagne tha God
No, no, no.
Lauren LaRosa
Your husband at all times. And listen, they could be putting something in the liquor, so make sure you watch them make the drinks. I don't care, because I want you to call up when you come back so I can make sure you're alive.
Caller
Well, can I give a shout out to my stepdad?
Sure.
Lauren LaRosa
He has a lion.
Caller
Event night, Aug. 16, Tree Hotel in Princeton, New Jersey.
Charlamagne tha God
Okay, thank you. Guys, I just googled.
Lauren LaRosa
And get another phone before you go.
Charlamagne tha God
I just googled how many people go missing on cruises. And they say about 15 to 20 missing person reports are filed each year. But they said over the past two decades, an estimated 200 to 400 passengers and crew members have gone missing from cruise ships. So that's pretty. That's actually kind of infrequent, to be honest.
Just Hilarious
There's still a lot of people.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
Come on.
Just Hilarious
I'm always nervous about falling overboard.
Charlamagne tha God
Even with the kids.
Just Hilarious
I'm right, right so much. Because you just never know.
Charlamagne tha God
Well, there's nothing funnier than just saying, don't nobody want you envy when you see. Oh, my God.
Lauren LaRosa
No, and I didn't mean it like that. I'm saying they don't be taking men is what I mean. Sometimes they'll take me. They'd be looking for the women.
Just Hilarious
Somebody wants me.
Lauren LaRosa
Yes, they do.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes.
Lauren LaRosa
Yes, she does.
Just Hilarious
Hello?
Charlamagne tha God
Who's this? Yeah, what's up, y'?
Just Hilarious
All?
Charlamagne tha God
Hey, mv.
Lauren LaRosa
What'S up?
Charlamagne tha God
Peace. Trav, what's up?
Just Hilarious
What's up, Trav?
Charlamagne tha God
Nah. Chilling, chilling.
Caller
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
Can I tell y' all something? I read this article, right, that said how white people feel like they don't have to, like, move out your way a lot when you're walking in spaces. And ever since I read that article, I started Noticing that when I'm walking, a lot of white people really feel like they don't. I don't know if it comes, they say subconsciously from, like, back in the day when black people used to, like, move out their way and step off the curb and everything. So I just want to say, y' all gotta start shoulder checking people, man. I started realizing white people do not move out your way. A lot of them when you're walking. You know, that's such an interesting theory, because there also was. People would get mad when white people used to cross the street. When black people used to come, they used to feel like that was racism and they were profiling. So if they not crossing the street, then maybe they're not afraid of you anymore. So isn't that kind of a good thing?
Lauren LaRosa
It happens in the airport all the time. I definitely notice it, but I don't try to shoulder check nobody, you know, because it's a lot of white men that do it. So I just say, excuse me. Excuse me as they see me, and then they, like, move out the way. Like, damn. All right. You know, that's all.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah. I was in the mall walking with four white women. They was taking up the whole. Dang.
Caller
Like, literally just.
Charlamagne tha God
And I was sitting there, and I was. It was like a game of chicken a little bit. Yeah. It's like they don't. Like, you don't exist or something. You kind of like, got everybody saying.
Lauren LaRosa
Like, yo, white women. You should have said, y' all not Sex in the City.
Charlamagne tha God
Move.
Lauren LaRosa
And then they would have been offended. But then they would have parted ways.
Charlamagne tha God
And depending where you at, just wear a T shirt that says, I am gay. Those white conservatives will get out your way fast. Right?
Lauren LaRosa
Bye. Yo, you're stupid.
Charlamagne tha God
It's true.
Just Hilarious
Get it off your chest. 800-5851. 105 on. We got the latest with Lauren coming up. What are we talking about?
DJ Envy
We do. We're going to talk about Deion Sanders. He came out and talked about the health battle that he's been fighting. And, man, this story is going to make y' all remind y' all how God is so good.
Just Hilarious
All right, we'll get into that next. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Caller
The Breakfast Club.
Charlamagne tha God
Morning, everybody.
Just Hilarious
It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlemagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club.
Charlamagne tha God
Good morning.
Just Hilarious
And let's get to the latest with Lauren.
Lauren LaRosa
Lauren becoming a straight fat.
Just Hilarious
She gets them from somebody that knows somebody.
Charlamagne tha God
She gets the details.
DJ Envy
I'm the homegirl that knows a little bit about Everything she be having the.
Charlamagne tha God
Latest on.
Caller
The Latest with Lauren LaRosa.
Charlamagne tha God
Sometimes she has facts, sometimes you have details, sometimes she have a little bit of everything.
Caller
Well, it's the latest on the Breakfast Club.
DJ Envy
So yesterday, as we discussed in the room, Deion Sanders, Coach prime held a press conference to talk about what has been keeping him away from work, what has been this health battle that he has been on. And he revealed that he actually fought bladder cancer. Let's take a listen to him explaining or his doctor explaining the cancer.
Charlamagne tha God
As you guys know, Coach has his other health issues, his vascular stuff. So every year Coach goes for a CT scan of his vascular pattern to make sure, you know, the blood clots are away. With this scan. Everything turned out really great from the vascular side.
Caller
About two weeks later, we get a.
Charlamagne tha God
Text from his primary care doctor that, that said, we need to refer you guys to a urologist. They go in for a quick procedure and the doctor told us, okay, you.
Caller
Guys are going to need another procedure.
Charlamagne tha God
I'm going to refer you to my colleague, Dr. Kirkraja. But at this point you have a bladder tumor. From there we'll go get it removed.
DJ Envy
And then Dr. Kirkraja it was. So we proceeded with removal of the bladder tumor. Very high grade, invading through the bladder wall, not into the muscle layer. Something we call very high risk non muscle invasive bladder cancer.
Charlamagne tha God
Electricity elected to undergo a bladder removal.
Caller
We performed a full robot assisted laparoscopic.
DJ Envy
Bladder removal and creation of a new bladder. And I am pleased to report that.
Charlamagne tha God
The results from the surgery are that.
DJ Envy
He is cured from the cancer.
Charlamagne tha God
I definitely was googling bladder cancer all day yesterday. Gotta add that to the list of potential health elements you got to get checked for.
DJ Envy
Absolutely, yeah. Now the insane thing about this. Well, first of all, I just want to say, and they said this in a press conference yesterday when I heard the word cured, I'm like, people don't understand how rare it is for a doctor to say you are cured from cancer because a lot of times if you're fighting cancer, it doesn't cure cure, you just can like manage it and subside it. So that is a huge.
Just Hilarious
Well, they removed, they removed it so that way it couldn't grow.
DJ Envy
But even then, sometimes like if things are removed and like things aren't caught in your blood. So there's so many nuances to cancer that like cured is a very strong word to say when you talk about cancer. And the doctor said it yesterday in the press conference because the type of cancer that he's dealing with, like the Numbers aren't for you in, in this situation. But he talked about. Because, you know, obviously the next question is, it's like, what is his life like now? Because you hear bladder cancer, you obviously think about how do you live day to day. So he talked about what his life is like right now. Let's take a listen to him on depends.
Caller
Now.
Charlamagne tha God
I'm.
Caller
I depend on. Depend, you know, if you know what I mean. I truly depend on the pen.
Charlamagne tha God
Like, I, I, I cannot control my bladder.
Caller
So I get up and go to the bathroom already four or five times a night, but then I'm sitting up there waking up, you know, like my grandson. We. We're in the same thing. You know, we're in the same.
Charlamagne tha God
We got the same problem right now.
Caller
We going through the same trial tribulations.
Charlamagne tha God
We kind of see who.
Caller
Who has the heaviest bag at the.
Charlamagne tha God
End of the night.
Caller
Like, this is ridiculous.
Charlamagne tha God
So if you see Porta Potty on.
Caller
The sideline is real dozing off and waking up on.
Charlamagne tha God
First thing, I'm grabbing my crotch to.
Caller
See if I peed on myself.
Charlamagne tha God
So he got. I know he said you got to wear the pins, but you got to walk around with the bag, too.
DJ Envy
So at one point, he was walking around with bags. I'm not for sure if that's something he's going to actually have to do every single day. But, yes, there are bags that he uses and in the vlog, because right after this press conference ended, his son, who, you know, had. They had their media channel, his son put up the first vlog of us seeing him go through the surgery. And you see the bags. There's two bags. One was, like, really filled with blood. And, like, it's very graphic in the video, but you can see the full process now.
Just Hilarious
Is that for life or it does it. Because I also heard that they're gonna use one of intestines to reformulate a bladder or something like that.
DJ Envy
They recreated a bladder for him.
Charlamagne tha God
I didn't know they could do that. That.
DJ Envy
I didn't know that they could do that either. But it seems like this hospital that he was at was, like, very, like, advanced. Yeah, like, they use robotic, like a robotic surgery of some sort to even do the surgery that he did. But it seems like their goal is to make it where, like, he can be able to, like, have a normal life. But he does need some assistance, which is where he's talking about the depends.
Lauren LaRosa
I love that he was in, like, good speed, seems to be in good spirits and, you know, laughing and playing you know, a lot of people get down and just. Yes. But I, I love the attitude he has about his disposition. Just like up.
DJ Envy
Yes. It was very Coach Prime. It was very Deion Sanders. Like, it was like, it was crazy because you're talking about cancer and cancer. When people hear it, you feel like it's a death sentence. And he got emotional at some points, but he kept it very like, my faith, my spirit, like, I'm here, I'm a vessel. Let's actually listen to him. There was a moment where he got emotional. Press conference. I wanted you guys to hear. Let's take a listen.
Caller
It has been a tremendous journey and I'm, I'm truly thankful that God, God is so good. God is so good.
Charlamagne tha God
You have no idea. You have no idea how good God.
Caller
Has been for me to be here. You have no idea.
Charlamagne tha God
Thank you.
Caller
Thank you both for everything.
Charlamagne tha God
Well, definitely send the healing energy to the good brother Deion Sanders. And this is why if you woke up today healthy, thank God there's always somebody out there going through, you know, something worse. And he's still giving all glory to God because he knows the option is deaf. He's happy to be here.
DJ Envy
Yes.
Lauren LaRosa
He's dealing with this every day too.
DJ Envy
Yes, every single day. And, and he said though, that because some, one of the journalists in the room asked him, like, how are you going to depend on your team now? Like, what's that going to be like? He said, depending on my team. I'm at work with my team. Like, you know, he's going to be back into his life and at work and doing the things that he was doing before, you know, as he would. He also talked a lot. The people who reached out to him and who were just there for him because a lot of people didn't know what was going on. He said Randy Moss called him in. Randy Moss's wife called him like almost every other day.
Charlamagne tha God
Randy was having his own battle again.
DJ Envy
Yes. Yep. He said that he would talk him through certain things and just, you know, be there for him the day.

DJ Envy
The press conference yesterday, he said D.C. young Fly actually called him and prayed with him, but there's been a lot of people. We had a full list of names. Desean Jackson ones on the list. There were so many names that he mentioned of people who just, like, reached out and poured love to him, even though he was trying to, like, you know, he didn't want everybody knowing what was going on. He said he was 180 pounds soaking wet. @ a certain point, he didn't want people to see him, but people made sure they got to him to pour love into him.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
And then also, Is Karrueche dating him? Are they dating? Well, she was very emotional as well. On. Was that a live.
DJ Envy
It was a vlog.
Lauren LaRosa
A vlog, yes.
DJ Envy
Yeah. So there have been some rumors that.
Lauren LaRosa
She almost made me cry.
DJ Envy
I cried with her.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
DJ Envy
There was a vlog yesterday that was posted by a son that I mentioned. And in the vlog, Karrueche is one of the people that was at the hospital with him when he went into the bladder surgery. So there's a part of the vlog where she is talking about what they're there and what they're doing. Let's take a listen to Karrueche.
Lauren LaRosa
So, yeah, we are here to fully remove the bladder.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Caller
Texting the boys. It's their first day of practice today, and I'm excited.
DJ Envy
Yeah. And she was super emotional in the video. Like, it was one point in the video where, like, she didn't even want to say the word cancer. There's another point where he's headed back into surgery and Karrueche and his son walk him back. Like, right before he goes back in, he says, you know, like, I'll see y' all later to him. So they haven't officially said yes. So I can't officially say yes. But, you know.
Lauren LaRosa
Well, I mean, I know that that's definitely not. They're not gonna address that right now. But I know somebody maybe knew and I missed it because y' all know, I mean, I'm just with a mess, but I still don't be knowing everything.
DJ Envy
No. Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
When I missed, I think a lot.
DJ Envy
Of people were like, woo, hold on.
Charlamagne tha God
Everybody ain't tuned into everything all the time. They got. Y' all got mad at me yesterday. Cause I ain't know Ray J. Oh.
Lauren LaRosa
I mean, but that was just all over the place.
Charlamagne tha God
I ain't never heard that before.
DJ Envy
Yeah, that was amazing.
Just Hilarious
That was amazing.
Lauren LaRosa
I did get mad at him. So I was like, how you did. You didn't see that? Ray J, your cousin, that was.
Charlamagne tha God
That was a mem.
Just Hilarious
At one time.
Charlamagne tha God
I know. I heard they was dating. I ain't never heard he was connected.
Lauren LaRosa
And that's the thing. I never heard that they were dating.
DJ Envy
I heard it, but I didn't believe it. I heard that, but I didn't believe it. I thought it was like one of the jokes and then I heard the death thing.
Just Hilarious
I heard both of them.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Just Hilarious
Regardless, I'm just glad Deion.
Lauren LaRosa
Absolutely.
DJ Envy
And this is going to be a multi part series that his son and his. His family will be dropping across YouTube because they want people to. To stay informed and continue to go get themselves checked and do all the things. Because he also mentioned he didn't have any symptoms either.
Just Hilarious
Wow.
DJ Envy
So, yeah. So he. They want you to see his process. So you to take care of yourself as well too.
Just Hilarious
Doc, if you listen, I'm coming to see you this week now.
Charlamagne tha God
That's right. Check my bladder. What you mean? And I'm gonna have to explain the story to him. Well, Dion Sanders just had bladder cancer. He said we need to get checked. So however I need to get checked for that, please check me.
Just Hilarious
I got you.
Charlamagne tha God
I'll check.
Just Hilarious
All right, that is the latest with Lauren.
Charlamagne tha God
I'mma make you my bag. That's what I'm going pee on you.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh my God. Any opportunity for the marriage. Relax.
Charlamagne tha God
You see. I'm glad y' all see.
DJ Envy
Make him your bag.
Charlamagne tha God
All right, when we come back, we got news.
Just Hilarious
That was the ladies with Lauren. It's the Breakfast Club.
Caller
Good morning, the Breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be the same.
Just Hilarious
Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlemagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get back to some front page news. What's up, Morgan?
Morgan
All right, y'.
Lauren LaRosa
All.
Morgan
So in international news, President Trump says he's reducing Russia's deadline to reach A ceasefire with Ukraine. He made those comments yesterday in Scotland. Let's take a listen.
Caller
I'm going to make a new deadline.
Charlamagne tha God
Of about 10, 10 or 12 days from today. There's no reason to wait. It's 50 days. I want to be generous, but we just don't see any progress being made.
Morgan
The president initially had a 50 day deadline for Ukraine and more so Russia and saying that he also had discussions with Putin. But too many people are dying in that war and Putin has got to make a deal. In additional remarks, Trump somewhat spoke on the Jeffrey Epstein file, saying he wants to focus on other issues, calling the controversy a hoax. No, he questioned, he questioned why the Biden administration didn't release the files during his administration, you know, under the Biden administration and denies going to Epstein's hideaway island. Let's take a listen to Trump on the Epstein files.
Charlamagne tha God
Those files were run by these people.
Caller
They were run by my enemy.
Charlamagne tha God
If there was anything in there, they would have used them for the election. I never had the privilege of going to his island and I did turn it down, but a lot of people in Palm beach were invited to his island. In one of my very good moments, I turned it down. I didn't want to go to his island. I think, you know, I think the reason the Biden administration didn't put it out because they know that it would be mutually assured destruction. Right. Because clearly there's, there's powerful political figures from both sides on there, plus their allies and corporate donors and et cetera, et cetera. But it's very important to note that the main people that want these files out are Trump supporters. This is a conspiracy that Trump's administration puts. And his supporters are the ones that want these files out. They're the ones that want the transparency. I don't know why he keeps trying to blame this on Democrats.
Morgan
Clock that tea. All right, so Trump says he banned Epstein from his Mar a Lago resort years ago. And he again denied a report by the Wall street saying that he sent a birthday card or greeting to Epstein that included a drawing of a nude woman. Let's take a listen to Trump's explanation on that.
Charlamagne tha God
I'm not a drawing person. I don't do drawings of women. That I can tell you they say there's a drawing of a woman and I don't do drawings of women.
Morgan
So the Trump administration has faced, of course, pressure from both sides of the aisle after a memo from the FBI and Justice Department said an Epstein client list does not exist.
Charlamagne tha God
You know, it's interesting too, because it's, it's just funny how the news works because Bill Clinton, you know, wrote a letter to, you know, Jeffrey Epstein as well for his birthday, but nobody's talking about that. And Jeffrey Epstein had a picture of Bill Clinton in the dress in high heels, you know, you know, in, in his New York mansion, but nobody's talking about that. My thing is this. I don't care who's on the list. Everybody gotta go burn it all down. Yeah. Like that's just simple as that. Mutually assured destruction. Whoever's on that list need to go. Nobody needs to be protecting pedophiles. I don't care what party they are.
Morgan
No period. And you know, to that point, though, you know, Clinton is not the president right now. You know, if he was, you think that anyways? Yeah, I think he would still be under scrutiny if he was the president right now.
Charlamagne tha God
No, he wouldn't, because liberal media wouldn't push the issue.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, okay.
Morgan
Well, this comes as, speaking of liberal media, this comes as Trump's legal team is seeking to expedite deposition of Rupert Murdoch and his lawsuit with media MOCA and defaming him in the Wall Street Journal article. Now, according to the final filing, Murdoch opposes the request, while the President's lawyers cited Murdoch's age as a chief argument to push for early testimony. Now, Trump's $10 billion lawsuit stems from the Journal's reporting on that birthday letter to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Now, lawyers for the president are also seeking any documents exchanged between Murdoch and other defendants in the case, as well as messages and logs from his call from July 10th through July 25th. And switching gears back to New York. But also there are other states involved. 20 Democratic state, 2020 Democrat led states, including New York, New Jersey, California and Connecticut are suing the Trump administration over its efforts to gather sensitive information about food stamp recipients. Now, Attorney generals, including New York's Letitia James, said the U.S. department of Agriculture is illegally trying to get Data on the 42 million people who receive SNAP benefits, including Social Security numbers, birth dates and immigration status. Let's take a listen to New York AG Letitia James. This administration is attempting to use this.
Lauren LaRosa
Program as a tool in their cruel and chaotic targeting of immigrants. It is outrageous.
Charlamagne tha God
It is unacceptable.
DJ Envy
They are basically trying to weaponize the.
Lauren LaRosa
SNAP program against immigrant communities in violation of the law.
Morgan
So California Attorney General Rob Bonta also weighed in. Let's take a listen to his comments.
Charlamagne tha God
People who apply for SNAP benefits have.
Just Hilarious
To provide sensitive and private information about themselves and others in their households. SNAP is a lifeline for over 5 million Californians. It helps working families, seniors, children and people in crisis put food on the table.
Morgan
So states have been giving a July 30 deadline to comply or face losing federal funding regarding SNAP. Now the legal dispute over SNAP data arises as the Trump administration again continues to collect and links government data for immigration enforcement.
Charlamagne tha God
I just don't understand why they are so hell bent on cutting things that actually help people. It's just mind boggling to me. Like, I just don't understand why you gotta go out of your way to cut people's those SNAP benefits. That is literally how some people just, you know, can, can keep food on their table. Yeah, yeah. And it's the same thing when, you know, I'm an ambassador for the food bank in New York City. Like when you see organizations like that getting their funding cut. Those are the people who go out there and help. You know, the, the least of us, the less fortunate. Like, why would you ever get in the way of that?
Commercial Voiceover
Why?
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, for real?
Charlamagne tha God
Clock it. Clock that.
DJ Envy
T2.
Morgan

All right, everybody else, when we come back, Nate Jackson, comedian, will be joining us. He has a new Netflix special called Super Funny. It came out in July 8th and we're going to talk to him next. They don't go anywhere. It's the Breakfast Club.
Caller
Good morning, the Breakfast Club.
Just Hilarious
Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlemagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. We got a special guest in the building. He has a new Netflix comedy special out right now. It's called Super Funny. Ladies and gentlemen, Nate Jackson.
Charlamagne tha God
How you doing, my brother? I'm doing good.
Lauren LaRosa
How about you?
Charlamagne tha God
Don't come. Don't look over here. Get gritting and smiling, looking for material.
Caller
Even on that right now.
Lauren LaRosa
We see your mind going already.
Caller
No, this is my first time on Breakfast Club. I'm like, yo, that's crazy. He just, yep, this.
Charlamagne tha God
Happening.
Caller
That's what I'm on.
Lauren LaRosa
What's up, man? How you doing?
Caller
I'm doing good, man. Things going crazy.
Lauren LaRosa
Congratulations.
Caller
Thank you so Much.
Lauren LaRosa
I love that. I love to see when we like us, when we get specials.
Caller
You proud of me?
Charlamagne tha God
Yes, I'm proud of you.
Lauren LaRosa
Thank you.
Caller
Are you kidding me?
Lauren LaRosa
Thank you.
Caller
I watched a video with the flickering and you came down the hallway and then appeared in the chair.
Charlamagne tha God
I was like, thank you, Nate. Thank you. People who don't know or who may not be familiar, who is Nate Jackson?
Caller
I guess TI Dubbed me the king of crowd work. I'm an entrepreneur. I own the biggest black owned comedy club in the country.
Charlamagne tha God
Super Funny Comedy Club.
Caller
There you go. In Tacoma, Washington, I'm a guy that got it out the mud from the very bottom and scraped my way up to a Netflix special that was in the top 10 and peaked at number three and did extremely well for the platform. And there's a lot coming. There's TV shows, there's movies, and so I'm excited. That's who I am. I'm your excited, huggable gangster cousin.
Charlamagne tha God
One of the people that probably don't, you know, might have thought you came out of nowhere. Like, you got the Super Funny comedy club in 2021, right?
Caller
Yeah. Well, basically we were building it, and then the news was saying that Covid was coming.
Charlamagne tha God
Was coming.
Caller
Okay, which is, which is. Which is it's hard enough to build a place, let alone watch the news and be like, I don't think it's gonna come over. I don't think it's gone. If you remember, Seattle is where it first touched down. The United States.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Caller
As soon as it was like, I think it was Everett, Washington or something, it was like two hours north. I was like, oh, this is a wrap.
Charlamagne tha God
So that might have been a blessing. Then a few you. Some PPP loans.
Caller
No, because you had to be open for like a year to get eid. Yeah, we had. We had no help.
Charlamagne tha God
You couldn't lie like everybody else, man.
Caller
I tried. I tried to create. I was a. I was. I have an auto detail business. I have. I have a dog grooming business. I clean shoes. I was coming up with everything. All of them were like, nothing was working. So, no, we just fought on our own. We just fought it, you know what I'm saying? And. And survived. And so we were at the first location for five years. Now we're at a brand new location downtown on the Marriott block from Tacoma, you know, but it's. It's. That's it. Like, this is. This is it for my city. We're in the most peak spot, best location it could be. And now it's like we're thriving like crazy.
Charlamagne tha God
But you're a veteran, though. You've been doing comedy for, like, 20, 26 years.
Caller
20. Somewhere between 23 and 24.
DJ Envy
Okay.
Charlamagne tha God
Okay.
Caller
Yeah, yeah, for sure. I've been. I've been. That's what I'm saying. I've been at it for a. You know what? We. We've met before, and. And it's worth me talking about for a second. Charlemagne. So I was working with Jesse Collins Entertainment as a crowd warmup, and they did this show, Hip Hop Hollywood Squares.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, yeah, I remember that.
Caller
Yeah. And Jess was the square, and D.C. was the square, and other, like, cast members from Wilding out and stuff were squares.
Charlamagne tha God
That's when D Ray was hosting it.
Caller
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
Okay.
Caller
And I really wanted to be in a square. Like, when sound stage would be empty, I'd be sitting in a square and, like, to the point where they, like, over headsets, like, that was like Nate Jackson out of the square. Like, just total rejection. Yeah. Like, this is for stars. They put me out the chair. So we were on a break in between two segments, and I was so upset. This day, man, you have one of them days where you, like, man, all this. Yeah, that's what I was on. Song and Tip was like, in the top left square. And I had. Me. We had met before, and he told me to put. He was like, play. You wanted me to play Juvenile. You see that? 98 degrees.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Caller
So I played that.
Charlamagne tha God
I remember the day now you talking about.
Caller
Yeah. And so he was up there. You were either on the bottom one or the left one, but you were right there, and you were like, yo, you're killing it. I was like, excuse me.
Me.
And you were like, dog, I. With, like, the. I can't remember exactly what you said, but you're like, I with, like, you know, the crowd work guys with the little guy. Because I was the little guy, man. I came up under Wendy and I grinded. I got it out the mud. So when I see y', all, I watch. I was like, you don't even know what that did for me that day.
Charlamagne tha God
Wow.
Caller
On Mamas. And I'm just telling you the little things like that. I was like, you know what? Let me just play my role. Let me do my. And let me just. You know what I'm saying? But that. That. That was heavy that day.
Day.
Charlamagne tha God
I remember that day because when 400 degrees came on, all of us. That's from the south started rapping it, like. Right. Everybody didn't talk rap like that was a great day.
Caller
See the 98 Mercedes on TV?
Charlamagne tha God
I bought that.
Caller
And I looked up in all nine squares is rock. I was like, okay.
Charlamagne tha God
And I remember you doing the crowd work, but I remember you being a little bit bigger.
Caller
Okay. I remember you being bigger, too. Don't eat Breakfast Club because we're trying to lose weight. Yeah, man, I went. I went fruit and veggie raw at the. On May 1st, and I lost 38.5 pounds. So I'm just, like, melting. And so now I'm like, trying to introduce, you know, some white meats back and whatever, just because I was like, man, there's too much chicken going by. Everybody like, yeah, yeah, we eat, but you not. So I basically just eat around the outside of the grocery store and stay out the middle. And so I've just been melting away.
Just Hilarious
So was it a scare or you just wanted to get healthier or. The reason why?
Caller
I want to see where my connect to my body.
Charlamagne tha God
Okay.
Caller
That makes sense. Yeah. I have a joke about it. I'm like, I can see the first seven inches, but that first five, I can't see that part. That's a joke. But, no, I just wanted to lose some weight, man. I had. We lost, Teddy Ray. We lost.
Charlamagne tha God
Now you're laughing at that. Now I'm laughing. I'm still having jokes.
Caller
Yeah, he did the math too, anyway.
Just Hilarious
But rest in peace is always right, man.
Lauren LaRosa
But you know what? I noticed in your special, you talk about it a lot. Got your weight and eating, and you got a lot of food jokes or whatever.
Caller
Yeah, I did, like four minutes of the. Just break the ice.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Just Hilarious
And then they're like, that's what we're.
Caller
Gonna take for the. For the national clip. That's gonna be your trailer. I'm like, oh, okay. So now. Okay, what about all the other stuff I said?
Lauren LaRosa
But how does it impact now? Because now you, you know, you lost. Lost a lot of weight, and I'm guessing you're still coming down, right? So how does that affect your comedy now? Like, you still doing the food jokes?
Caller
You can. I mean, it was not.
Charlamagne tha God
I don't have. Have.
Caller
I had food jokes, but it was more about weight loss jokes and temptation, and you could have that at any weight. You know what I'm saying? Like, it was. It was crafted where I was like, I think I'm losing weight, but I can still get these jokes off.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Caller
I mean, but at the end of the day, I write a lot, and that's what. That's what that's what the crowd work is. You're writing on the spot, so just switch it up.
Just Hilarious
Is there anything that you stay away from? Like, you know, because I feel like the world is so sensitive now. Like, you say one thing, oh, we're gonna cancel you. Is there anything that you stay away from or you'd be like it?
Caller
I kind of am with everything. But I will. I will tread lightly around, you know, some politics stuff because it's. They just been so. It's so magnetized, you know, At a point people are like, I don't even care what you're talking about no more. Because he's not. He's obviously not. And I'm like, man, just chill out. I want everybody to laugh first.
Commercial Voiceover
Right.
Caller
That's why it's called super funny. I wasn't. That's the theme of the show. Love. Love hard. Eat good and laugh. Laugh to your fullest. So that's the thing. That's what it is.
Just Hilarious
I was gonna say, do you think people miss the funnier things because they want to cancel you? They are looking for something to be hurt or affected by. Cause I remember one time you just laughed. It wasn't. It could be a black joke, a white joke, a gay joke, a straight joke. It didn't matter if it was funny. It was funny. But now I feel like people look for something to be like, I'm gonna cancel you off that word right there, you know?
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Caller
Depending on the word, but. Yeah.
Just Hilarious
Or the term or the joke.
Caller
I think it depends on how you saying it.
Charlamagne tha God
Right.
Caller
Like, what I can stand the least is when a comic takes the time to qu. Craft a beautiful joke. And I mean, a beautiful joke where it, like, meanders and then you get hit with the punchline and then you still be like. But the topic was da, da, da. Hey, man, chill out. That's a good ass joke.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Caller
Also, I think we're shifting back some, and I don't want to say it on a platform so big that people are like, oh, you think we won't cancel you too? I don't need that smoke. But I'm just saying, I think there's been a shift since, I don't know, maybe 20, 19, 2020, definitely. You know what I'm saying? And. And so there's been some pushback. People like Schultz and people like Chappelle that are like, I'm all that. That comedy first. Then we'll talk about what's next.
Commercial Voiceover
That's right.
Just Hilarious
We're still kicking in with comedian Nate Jackson. His new special Super Funny is out on Netflix right now.
Lauren LaRosa
Jess, if you are gonna say anything that's gonna be even a little bit controversial, it has to be funny.
Charlamagne tha God
Has to be funny so people can't be.
Lauren LaRosa
It gotta be so funny to the point where they don't even wanna cancel you. Man. That is funny, right?
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Caller
I had a joke about a Vietnamese car dealer. And I know it sounds ridiculous, but I'm from Tacoma, Washington, and we kicking with the Vietnamese, Cambodians, Samoans, black people. We all. Everyone's all. We all mix. And so when you go gamble, the dealer gonna be Vietnamese. And they were teaching me words. And so I started picking up on the dialect to be like that and stuff like that. So I had this joke that means you. And so I picked up on that. They say that a lot. And I just started hearing it, not knowing what it was. I'm like, why y' all keep saying. And they're like, oh, yeah. I mean, you. I'm like, what the. So I wrote a joke about how I had found out, but I put it after I hit a jackpot pot. So basically she was calling me B, which was my interpretation of her saying it in my face. And I didn't know. So I slowly reveal that they've been being racist to me. And then I get her some. Get back the dealer. And I. I say, she acts black. So she. I said, well, okay, you act black then. And she's like, I don't know my father. I'm like, that's not what the.
Charlamagne tha God
I was listening for an accent. Stop it, stop it, stop it now.
Lauren LaRosa
She about to come in, like.
Charlamagne tha God
Triggered her.
Caller
I'm so sorry, man.
Charlamagne tha God
One of. I was watching one of your specials before, one of your crowd work specials, man. There was a fat dude in the crowd, the fat dude named Big Mac that do security. I don't know if you remember, but the dude was like. He said something to you and you was like, don't get mad at me. I'm not the one who fed you.
Caller
Hey. Make you bite all that. People be in the comments like PAC calling the kettle black. I'm like, nah, that's a little plac on a big ass kettle black. But the point of the Vietnamese joke was that same joke, JFL was like, we can't have you up here because you saying that joke. Well, I'm like, did you listen to it?
Charlamagne tha God
Right?
Caller
So I just got back from that. I came straight from Montreal here. Oh, I have my own show. I had like, I. I did variety top 10. Yes, I got that this year. But. But it brings it full circle to be like, they showed me so much love. I was like, you know what? I'm not gonna be bitter. I can't.
Lauren LaRosa
Funny.
Charlamagne tha God
You shouldn't.
Caller
Now if I just came out, like, Vietnamese sound crazy, and I just start cussing, like, I'm like, that. That is.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Caller
You overstepping.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Caller
You know what I'm saying? But not. And that's my pet peeve. Like, if somebody. If you can. You can hear the intellect in the joke and the setup and be like, oh, that was a good misdirection to hear that. Like, nah. It's like how some older black people. Like, I didn't even have fun because he cussed 14 times. He's sitting there counting.
Charlamagne tha God
Exactly, man. That's a show. Yes. Listen, give people the story. So you went from you doing the warm up, warming up the crowd at the hip hop squares, but I know you ended up on Wild. And now, like, how did all of those stuff. Things happen?
Caller
Oh, my goodness. That's not my start. My start. I just got dared to do comedy while I was in college and I went on stage and I was like, oh, this was kind of good. And so I stuck with it. And then I moved immediately to la and I was there for like, six years. And then I was like, I need to go home and stack some bread. So I started, like, 12 shows, and then I combined it into one show, and it was like the biggest show. It was like Thursday night was like 420 people for like, eight years. It was massive. And in Seattle. In Tacoma. Yeah, downtown Tacoma. And if it's really like 80 people every Thursday, in case the IRS is listening. So it was like. It was hella. But then I stacked and came back, and so then different opportunities started to kind of come together. And so I had an opportunity to work with Jesse Collins Entertainment. And that's how I did the crowd work. And I think it was just a plug from D Ray.
Charlamagne tha God
Okay.
Caller
Because, you know, I do Monday nights at the Improv, and D Ray looks out. Shout out to D Ray.
Charlamagne tha God
And.
Caller
And so that's how I got into that. But the way Hollywood, man, you'll have a day where you're like, yo, I made it. You'll be standing on a table, fist pumping the air between Tony Rock and Chris Rock, like. You know what I'm saying? Like, what? It would feel like a million bucks. And then the next day you're like, damn, I gotta perform in this dungeon. Yeah, it's not. It's not. It's up. But you gotta do it all. And so you know that that's essentially.
Charlamagne tha God
Why I was where I was.
Caller
I was like, man, I just can't get a damn. I got Wild N Out. Bet I do four episodes. Niall says I look old. I'm like, corey Holcomb is here. No shade. No shade. But I'm just saying, don't say I look old. No, he. Yeah, like, I waited to get on the show for six years. Yeah, I look old now. Give me a part of my hair.
Charlamagne tha God
Let me rock. Give me a part of my hair.
Caller
And then every game was rapping. I'm like, we can't just do no oc.
Charlamagne tha God
You just be funny. Would have a game like, all right.
Caller
This is what we gonna do. You gonna roast this thing. We, like, bet all the comments. Like, hell, yeah. Nick, be in the corner like, you know what? He needs bars. Now we're like. And just get out the way. Trying the clips, man.
Charlamagne tha God
Go ahead, man. God damn.
Caller
Here come Justina. Go ahead, man.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Caller
I'm like, that's not my bag. I'll learn it, but that ain't my bag.
Charlamagne tha God
You only did four episodes of Wild N Out.
Caller
Yeah, I did four. But they were big ones, though.
Charlamagne tha God
Got you. Yeah, they were big ones, though.
Caller
Like, I did Erykah Badu episode. We did. Because I can sing too. So we did the. The Revenge of Tyrone where she did the follow up to Call Tyrone. And then I did the Travis Scott episode. And then I did the one where the dude had hella kids. But then he said, we can't talk about the kids.
Charlamagne tha God
Nick.
Just Hilarious
Nick Cannon.
Caller
No, no, it was somebody with more, I think Cromartie.
Just Hilarious
Oh, Antonio Cromarty.
Caller
Yeah, that's all we want to talk about. Like, you got a million kids. He was like, anything. But the kids were like, well, then go home.
Charlamagne tha God
Go home.
Caller
Because.
Lauren LaRosa
Right.
Caller
Yeah, so I did a some good. You know what I'm saying? And so I like that. You know what? I think the reason I only got the four. And I'd like to say this on this platform. On the Erykah Badu episode, she came and she was like, yo, let me meet the people I'm gonna be on the episode with. And me and the 85 south guys all stood around on the sound stage with Nile and she's like, here's what I think we should do. And I'll ran down the gate games. Here's what we're gonna do. Freestyle from there. She's like, okay, I'm going to my dressing room. I want, I want one of the brighter ones to come with me.
Charlamagne tha God
Now.
Caller
I'm standing up there with one episode under my belt. She's like, you, what's your name? I'm like, nate Jackson. She's like, you, you tell me what's going on here. And I was like, I was like, hey, Carlos, can you come with me? Carlos? We go down. She's like, there's gonna be a part where I go down to my knee and I'm singing real hard. I want you to put my jacket on me like James Brown. I'm gonna throw it up off and come back like a phoenix and I'm going to kill it. I'm like, bet that part of the show happens. I walk out, I put the thing on her. Everything happens as planned. After it's over, execs come up and they're like, who the told you to walk out? Sorry, what?
Charlamagne tha God
Wow.
Caller
Erykah Badu did. Erykah Badu told you to walk out? Yeah, she said throw the thing on her.
Charlamagne tha God
Why do you.
Caller
What you thought I just over just came out the. I know I'm barely welcome here. Why would I put. Yeah, mess up your million. Million dollar moment, you know what I'm saying? And so that's when it was like I was on ice. But it only takes.
Charlamagne tha God
But the show is in really. So even if you did do that and it worked, who cares?
Caller
Come on man, think. Put, put the other hat on you exact you put your bag in the air of being on episode. Here come one of your little Since.

Power.Com Awards doing anything in frame that.
Charlamagne tha God
She asked to do that specifically.
Caller
And I even remember being like, somebody was next to me. I was like, hey, she said to throw the thing. You want to go out? And they were like, well, no, I mean, I don't want to go. I was like, okay. Well, she asked like, I'm not gonna. I don't want to not do it. Then after, she's like, where was the.
Charlamagne tha God
I was waiting.
Caller
Yeah, man. Did you at least tell Nick when Nick is like Batman, you see Nick there and then ninja smoke. Hello, Nick. When the last time you seen Nick J.
Charlamagne tha God
Playing cards on that?
Caller
Playing cards on the Internet. I've not seen that in person.
Charlamagne tha God
Kidding me.
Caller
He's just in a garage doing upside down sit ups. You don't never see Nick. He got too many shows. He was shooting six shows.
Just Hilarious
That's crazy.
Caller
I could not believe, bro. He shot like a vlog, a desus and Mero thing. He shot Wilding out. Then he went to agt, then he shot a car show. Then I was like, this is tired.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes. Yes. No.
Caller
See, Nick, when we're still kicking in.
Just Hilarious
With comedian Nate Jackson, his new special Super Funny is out on Netflix right now.
Lauren LaRosa
Jess, how did that, how did that come about though? How did. How did Netflix end up the place?
Caller
It's simple for me. But like, so my mama getting older and she has an office downstairs at our house in Lacey, Washington, and she got to go down these steps to go down in this cold ass basement and turn on an area heater to get on Netflix or to get on any streaming platform. But Netflix, Netflix came on their old ass smart tv, which is dumb now, but that was the one. I was like, it's a smart tv. Netflix built in so she'll watch Netflix and from the comfort of the couch, fireplace and all that. So for me, I was like, this is how my mama gonna see me and be comfortable.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, wow. Wow.
Caller
So you pair it with all the other stuff you know about Netflix and it kind of makes sense, but if they're not gonna give me a deal, it's like, I gotta go to wherever.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Caller
But that's why I was like, I could just stick it on YouTube with the crowd. Work joints where there's now 750,000 people. I think that would land well. But let's see if we can get traction with them. Because just literally I was on calls with Agency. They're like, what do you. Wait, what platform? I'm like, netflix.
Charlamagne tha God
Why?
Caller
My mama can't watch this downstairs. Like, I need her in the living room being like, my baby did it. I need that.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Caller
And we. And that's what we did.
Charlamagne tha God
Gary Owen about to write that down. He gonna try to use that to get his Netflix special. Finally. You know, Gary can't get a Netflix special for nothing. No, I ain't know that Podcast.
Caller
It's called Gary, and I did not know that.
Charlamagne tha God
I know Gary had a podcast.
Caller
Yeah, he got what just called Gary Owen.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Caller
And I got my.
Charlamagne tha God
Hold on that. Funniest. So you got a Netflix special. How did you break the news to Gary?
Caller
Right after he told me that they turned him down.
Lauren LaRosa
Damn.
Caller
But I didn't mean to say it that way, though. Like, he was like, hey, man, I'm waiting to find out about Netflix.
Charlamagne tha God
Now.
Caller
I had already knew, like, I might be riding him third on mine. And so I just had to sit there, and he told me the whole thing. Like, yeah, man, I'm ready for it to get on there, man. I don't know what it's about. And I was like, man, maybe, you know, just keep talking along, brother.
Charlamagne tha God
You didn't want to give him your good news yet.
Caller
I had to wait. I. I had to wait till, like, the. The moment of, like.
Lauren LaRosa
Like, yeah.
Caller
And I was like, you want to hear something crazy, man? But you can't. You can't go. You can't act stupid, though.
Charlamagne tha God
You can't tell nobody.
Caller
You can't say, you can't act stupid. He was like, ah, what you got? What you got? And I was like, yeah, yeah. Netflix gave me mine. He was like, that's what's up. I support that. But no, so.
Charlamagne tha God
So damn. So he.
Caller
He deserves one.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, why not?
Just Hilarious
On the podcast, you said, gary be taking your style.
Caller
Where you see that at your podcast. We talked about it live. So you saw us come to a resolution, and you want to go back to when it was up and start there?
Just Hilarious
We start from there, Then we go to the resolution.
Caller
I'll precede this with, we're good.
Charlamagne tha God
You're good.
Just Hilarious
Now, what happened with Gary taking your style?
Caller
This is the thing. Gary would come up to the club. He did a weekend, and the weekend went great. And I asked him to do my podcast, and we had a great episode, and. And then it just. It was. We just synergized to where it was like, yo, we should probably do something. And then it turned into, like, the Gary and Nate pod. And then the crowd work joints that I was putting out, where I'm putting out once a month or whatever. I, like, somebody sent me and was like, yo, Gary got these things he's doing once a month now. And I was like, well, stop laughing.
Charlamagne tha God
They're cool now.
Caller
I said, wait, wait. Gary did what? So I didn't say nothing. I just sat on. Cause we were only filming once a month.
Charlamagne tha God
I have been seeing Gary do more crowd work lately. I'm not gonna l. I'm not even joking. I have been seeing him doing crowd work.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, you'll see it. And when they explore, it just pops up, right?
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah. Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
White people always do that to us, though.
Caller
Good for Gary, man. I love that he's getting traction because Gary's hella funny.
Charlamagne tha God
He is. We love Gary, man. But this story is.
Caller
I'mma be honest, I did not know.
Charlamagne tha God
Y' all had a pod. I just subscribed to it. Y' all only started in November, though.
Caller
It's also done. Yes, we going to do one more episode explaining when it's over. But that is over. We're done.
Charlamagne tha God
What?
Caller
We can't.
Charlamagne tha God
It's only been 24 episodes.
Caller
And that's hella.
Charlamagne tha God
It's over now. I just subscribed. Look, I literally just subscribed.
Caller
Click the same button.
Charlamagne tha God
Finish the story.
Caller
Subscribe to Opinionated Charlie, man. That's my podcast.
Charlamagne tha God

Subscribe to Opinionated subscribers. Subscribed to get. Make sure you subscribe to get some. And then opinionated his mind. There's enough out here for all of us to get it.
Charlamagne tha God
Finish your story.
Just Hilarious
It's not even a full story.
Charlamagne tha God
God damn.
Caller
Envy, Envy, Envy. Just be in the fight.
Charlamagne tha God
He's funny in the back.
Caller
You ain't gonna do. You ain't gonna do.
Charlamagne tha God
That's what you do. Envy.
Caller
You just pump the bear.
Charlamagne tha God
He is Instagram.
Caller
Listen, I rock with Gary. I have no. I have no malice. You know what I'm saying? And so he. He good, but not. But it's just an and so. I have noticed that as I'm up in the Pacific Northwest fighting for ways to be an innovator and stay relevant from way the up there and off the grid, that sometimes people come up and they're like, oh, that's. That's the sauce. You can't. I can't protect that. Whether he comes close to me and does it or stays away from me and does it. If somebody sees a editing style or a wave or, I don't know, a dress or a way somebody Walks to talk. And it's working.
Charlamagne tha God
See? Go ahead.
Caller
There's nothing you can do. He from. He from there. Well, he from Ohio, but he live this envy is wild. He's literally saying every point of contention from when we argued at the end of the day, we only were recording first month.
Charlamagne tha God
You said that to him. You said you ain't wasn't even wearing baseball jersey. You told me. You said, yeah.
Caller
And then Gary was like, look at me.
Charlamagne tha God
At my wedding party, he said, look at me now.
Caller
You know goddamn well.
Charlamagne tha God
Like a week.
Caller
Gary solid. He not going to be saying and all that, but anybody that's wondering where I'm at on it, he good. He good. Okay, now, but y' all just not.
Just Hilarious
Doing the podcast no more, But y' all good.
Caller
No, I. I can't. It's because we do first. We do first Mondays. And so he'll come up and do the club and the door deal is. Is what makes it worth coming up. Then we record one or two or three or four episodes in one day or two and then two. And it'd be my only two days off or maybe a 14 stretch of road gigs. I'm like, gary, I can't. I can't do it. So I'm doing. I'm doing a comedy festival the 11th through the 17th, because my birthday is the 14th in August. And so he's gonna come up and he's gonna do Monday the 11th, and then we're gonna do one more episode. Just explain Lightning. We're just busy.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah. Where's your comedy festival is in your hometown?
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, yeah.
Caller
San Tacoma.
Lauren LaRosa
Okay.
Caller
Yeah. So. And we got Tony Rock anchoring the weekend.
Lauren LaRosa
Amazing.
Caller
Gary will do the Monday, then I'm gonna to do a Nate Jackson presents on Monday. It's one of my concepts where it's like I'm hosting for 35, 40 minutes, and then all the acts just come out the door. You don't know who's on stage. Kind of like this Chocolate Sunday, you know?
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah. This makes so much sense because I was listening to the Gary's pod, like last week, and I was wondering why he was just going in on people who do crowd work. He was like, people who do crowd work are lazy and they don't really know how to write.
Caller
But now Gary on his pod, that's something made up. That sounds made up.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, yeah, I did make it up. It's true. Hey, yeah, I did make that up.
Caller
Because here's why. Here's why it's made up. Because if you do crowd work, or attempt to do crowd work. And you have good moments, and you string them together. You already know you're using traditional standup structure, but you're plugging the information you got off the people into that. So we're writing live and on the spot. And I think that what's overlooked is. Is the phenomena of why people are like, why crowd work? Because you're in the crowd and you're hearing the response. Your brain is processing the same information, and you're like, what would I say? What was he gonna say? And every time the person you like that does, it finds an angle every, like. So if I got to start with whatever, like, I would have been. I would have went on stage and be like, y' all see Coldplay? Y' all see the dude get caught? Like, I can talk about that at a crowd work joint. And now it's like, who in here cheat? Now we got some segues to get through, you know, Mean. But, like, it's almost a gift when you get something, you're like, oh, okay, let's cook with this, right? And I like to find a few so that I can do callbacks and have it all come together in jail together. So at the end, you're like, that was. That wasn't just. That was an experience. That wasn't just a couple of moments.
Charlamagne tha God
Nate Jackson, tell them where to follow you, brother.
Caller
Nate Jackson comedy.com or@ Mr. Nate Jackson on the gram or Nate Jackson Comedy on. On Tick Tock. Just tap in. NateJacksonComedy.com is the. Where you can see everything. I'm. I'm on. Get some tickets while there's any seats left. It's like that.
Charlamagne tha God
Congratulations, bro.
Lauren LaRosa
You say he was doing shows and movies and stuff. You casting stuff?
Caller
You want to act in something?
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, for sure.
Charlamagne tha God
I got some. All right, cool.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, I got some because, like, I'm really, really good.
Caller
I almost forgot the movie. I'm tripping. So there's a movie with Seth Rogen, Kiki Palmer, Keanu Reeves, and it's Aziz Ansari's directorial debut that comes out in October, and it's called Good Fortune, and I'm in that. So. So, yeah, no, I got stuff.
Lauren LaRosa
Okay.
Caller
I just bought this red camera. We about to be. It's about to go.
Lauren LaRosa
You bought the red.
Caller
They can't tell me nothing.
Just Hilarious
Check out Super Funny On Netflix now. Nate Jackson, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for joining us, brother.
Caller
Appreciate you.
Just Hilarious
That's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Let's get to the latest with Lauren.
Lauren LaRosa
Lauren becoming a street thing.
Charlamagne tha God
She gets them from somebody that knows somebody. Somebody detail.
DJ Envy
I'm the home girl that knows a little bit about everything.
Charlamagne tha God
She be having the latest on the.
Caller
Latest with Lauren LaRosa.
Charlamagne tha God
Sometimes you have facts, sometimes she have details, sometimes she have a little bit everything.
Caller
So it's the ladies on the Breakfast Club.
DJ Envy
So congratulations goes to Beyonce because her Cowboy Carter tour, which we talked about the closing of, is now being ranked as the highest grossing country tour ever.
Charlamagne tha God
Wow.
Just Hilarious
Nice.
DJ Envy
Which is insane because y' all know they tried to keep her up out of them country music streets. Real, real bad. So this is according to Polestar and Billboard box score. So according to Billboard box score, which is a data collection database that has, you know, for 40 years, been collecting data from industry sources, artists, venues and promoters, Beyonce made over $400 million after 32 shows across nine cities. Now, according to Polestar, which is a publication that, you know, centers in like concert news, they credited the tour with. With making the 400 million dollar mark as well. And then they're the ones who put the mark on it that no other country tour has ever ach. Amount of money.
Charlamagne tha God
Wow.
DJ Envy
Now the 32. The 32 shows is a big deal because this also put her tour in a place where she was one of the fastest or smallest tours to be able to gross this amount of money. Now, the way that they broke it down on the Billboard box score is that Beyonce did fewer cities, but she did more shows in each city. So like, for example, she did four nights in Atlanta, five in la, five in New York, six shows in London. London's in London. And if they say that it's rare for artists to do so many shows in a single stadium on a single tour with. But with the more dates, it equaled more tickets and it was. She was able to gross more money. So really smart of her. So congratulations to Beyonce.
Charlamagne tha God
I didn't even know that it was considered a country tour.
DJ Envy
Well, Cowboy Carter is a country music album, so.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, but I didn't know that they. Yeah, I don't know. I just never thought about it like.
Just Hilarious
That because she did have the music.
Charlamagne tha God
Beyonce. Yeah, yeah, she did. Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
She makes some hits off of Renaissance.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah. She. Some of her older hits.
Charlamagne tha God
Jay Z coming out.
Lauren LaRosa
Beyonce tool.
DJ Envy
Speaking of Renaissance, Rolling Stone also noted, according to Polestar, that Beyonce is the first American artist to have suits two separate tours gross over $400 million with her two 2023 Renaissance Trek that made $579 million across 56 shows.
Just Hilarious
Wow.
DJ Envy
Hit maker.
Charlamagne tha God
What is act three going to be? What kind of genre of music she going to love? Lean into Afro, beach, reggae, hip hop. Do Everything Is Love part two. What we. What are we getting?
Lauren LaRosa
I honestly feel like rock and roll. Like, she really channeling her Tina Turner era. Like, yeah, she's doing that. I think rock and roll is going to be. I mean, it's going to be obviously some other things thrown in there, but this, this was. This was. What's her name? What's the daughter named?
Charlamagne tha God
This was Blue.
DJ Envy
I period.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah. Yeah, man. Rummy. Roomy rummy.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
This is day tour.
DJ Envy
A lot of people want to see the original because of the Destiny's Child reunion that happened the final day of the tour in Vegas that we talked about. A lot of people want to see the original Act 3 be the Destiny.
Charlamagne tha God
Child 3 because it's three of them. You know, I mean, Act 3 would be hard. That would be great. That'd be dope.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
DJ Envy
Yes.
Lauren LaRosa
Because I would. I would be there. What?
Just Hilarious
You'll be there regardless.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, you're right.
DJ Envy
I've never seen Beyonce perform them in, like, in person. I want to see that.
Lauren LaRosa
You never had this one I've heard you own.
Charlamagne tha God
So you be walking around here in cowboy boots just cuz you want to.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, wow.
DJ Envy
Hats, too.
Charlamagne tha God
Well, and I say really have people wearing cowboy boots and cowboy hats? Absolutely.
Just Hilarious
That cow print thing that you had, she never would.
DJ Envy
It was a sample, y'.
Charlamagne tha God
All.
DJ Envy
I was trying it on.
Charlamagne tha God
That was disgusting.
Lauren LaRosa
It was for a shoe.
DJ Envy
And when it comes back, I'm going to wear. Not in here, but you going to see me in it. Yes. I will shout out to the Plastics, nyc.
Charlamagne tha God
I promise. You don't have to prove nothing to us.
DJ Envy
I'm not trying to prove.
Charlamagne tha God
I promise you.
Just Hilarious
If it's not it, it's just not it.
Charlamagne tha God
Do not need to be walking around looking like the chick Fil a cow for us.
DJ Envy
Y be so mad at my fashion.
Charlamagne tha God
Fashion.
DJ Envy
Okay, now, in other music news, a hip hop icon and actor, Busta Rhymes, period, honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Just Hilarious
Favorite rap bus.
DJ Envy
Yes. So the Walk of Fame released this news and they, you know, mentioned that guest speakers there will be Chris Rock, LL Cool J and Chuck D. This will take place on the Hollywood Walk of fame on Friday, August 1st at 11:30am and you know, you're able to Come and watch it and, you know, all the things. Now he'll receive his star in the category of recording, and he'll be joined by MC Big Boy, who emceed the ceremonies as a speaker. And then, as I mentioned, Chris Rock, Ella Cool J, and Chuck D will also.
Charlamagne tha God
You mean Big Boy?
DJ Envy
Big Boy will MC the. They have, like, a ceremony, like, you know, where they let people come up and speak. Your family's there. So Big Boy will MC these ceremony.
Charlamagne tha God
Said Chuck D. Chuck D. Buster rhymes his name. Who else?
DJ Envy
You said LL Cool J. LL Cool J and Chris Rock.
Charlamagne tha God
Yep. All right.
DJ Envy
Yep. So shout out to him. Congratulations on that. That is dope, Major.
Charlamagne tha God
I feel like Q Tip should be in that mix, too, but that's dope. That is dope.
Lauren LaRosa
Mariah Carey should be giving some words, too. Remember her tribute, how he broke it down for her?
Charlamagne tha God
What?
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
Like, he. Yo, I never see nobody speak about nobody like that while giving him a tribute. That was amazing.
DJ Envy
So, yeah, it's crazy because I thought. I would have thought that he had already had a. I was thinking he.
Just Hilarious
Definitely should have had one already. Out of hits and movies and everything.
Charlamagne tha God
But, yeah.
Just Hilarious
Salute to Buster. All right, well, that is the latest with Lauren.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
And Happy birthday to Kalan.
Charlamagne tha God
I.
Lauren LaRosa
It's.
Charlamagne tha God
He's still going.
Lauren LaRosa
I don't know.
Charlamagne tha God
He's still going. Who is that? I.
Lauren LaRosa
Celebrity.
Charlamagne tha God
You still C. See, Nate Jackson was in here doing. Nate Jackson was in here doing them accents, and you just can't stop. Huh? Who. Who is it, Lord? Is it.
Just Hilarious
Is it C?
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, no.
DJ Envy
How do you pronounce that?
Lauren LaRosa
It's a celebrity. They put three eyes on there.
Charlamagne tha God
Her. Look. You.
DJ Envy
You know her.
Lauren LaRosa
Wait, so it's not.
Charlamagne tha God
She's still. I'm telling you, it's Nate Jackson. Nate Jackson was in here shouting out the Vietnamese people and. And got Jess going. Is that Cie?
Lauren LaRosa
She meant Cie. Why they put three eyes on the end of this girl name?
Charlamagne tha God
I'mma fight.
Caller
I'mma fight.
Charlamagne tha God
Jeff.
DJ Envy
Can you say it, J?
Lauren LaRosa
I thought it was.
Charlamagne tha God
Shut up. That's where you get your wigs from, too, Lord. Okay, because your wigs are coll.
Just Hilarious
We'll give you a dog.
Charlamagne tha God
After the hour. We need Micah Hill to come to the front of the congregation. There's a lot of teachable moments to be learned from this man's situation. We'll discuss it.
Just Hilarious
Oh, my goodness. All right, we'll get that next. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Caller
The Breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be the same.
Just Hilarious
Don't Be out here acting like a donkey. It's time for donkey of the day.
Charlamagne tha God
I'm a big boy, I could take.
Caller
It if he feel I deserve it.
Charlamagne tha God
Ain't no big deal. I know Charlamagne guy gonna have some funny out his mouth if you guys say something you may not agree with. Doesn't mean I'm mean getting that donkey, that donkey, that donkey. Donkey, donkey, donkey, donkey, Donkey of the day right there. Breakfast club. You can call me the donkey of the day but like I mean no harm. Donkey of the day for Tuesday, July 29th goes to a 21 year old Oklahoma man named Micah Hill. Okay, Micah. Is currently being held held on a fifty thousand dollar bond for assault and battery with a deadly weapon after police say he admitted to shooting his girlfriend's husband. I repeat, Micah Hill is currently being held on a fifty thousand dollar bond for assaulting battery with a deadly weapon after police say he admitted to shooting his girlfriend's husband. I know, I know. I had to read it a couple of times myself before I got it. Confusing, isn't it? Let's go to KOCO ABC News 5 for the report.
Caller
911 calls flooding into the Edmond Police Department Tuesday afternoon. Police say 21 year old Micah Hill.
Charlamagne tha God
Was in his girlfriend's car and she.
Caller
Was inside when her husband came up to the car window.
Charlamagne tha God
Hill told police it scared him because.
Caller
They'Ve met before and the husband allegedly had spit in his face and threatened.
Charlamagne tha God
Him in the past. Hill said out of fear he grabbed.
Caller
His girlfriend's gun, loaded it and got.
Charlamagne tha God
Out of the car. Documents say Hill told police the husband walked around the car and asked Hill if he was hurting his children. Hill says his answer was no. He claims the husband then lunged toward him.
Caller
So he shot him twice.
Charlamagne tha God
I heard two shots in the parking lot.
Caller
Seconds later walked in and was yelling help.
Charlamagne tha God
Help.
Caller
I need help. He shot me. He shot me. I know.
Charlamagne tha God
They hit the panic alarm at the front desk as well.
Caller
Documents say Hill admitted the husband was not visibly armed, but told police he quote, couldn't do anything unless I shot.
Charlamagne tha God
Him because he can't quot out fight him. Well, at least he was in front of a plasma center, so there was some doctors there to help after he got shot. So many teachable moments in this story if you're willing to learn something. But let's discuss number one. I'm not dying or killing for nobody else's wife. Okay? Michael, you 21 and you were smashing this man's wife. I don't know what the situation is between the Husband and wife. Maybe they separated. I have no idea. But whatever was going on between them was none of your business business. And that woman had you, Micah, doing too much. Okay, see, you wasn't keeping it, player. You said you met this woman's husband. Husband before, and he spit in your face. Okay? Drop one of clues bombs for the husband. All right? You deserve that spit to be in your face, because why are you meeting the husband? Okay? This woman put you in a position you had no business being in. If they separated and you smashing, I get it. But keep it like. Like that, okay? If she wants to bring you around her kids and a strange husband, you got to say no. Okay? Now, maybe y' all just creeping, and the husband know y' all creeping, so he couldn't believe the audacity of you coming around him, playing in his face. Oh, you think he's sweet, huh? Oh, you think he's a cat doll? Okay. Saliva to the face, I understand. Then this man thought you was hurting his kids. I don't know where he got that from, but he asked the question for a reason. Once again, why are you even around this man's kids? For him to eat? Even have to think to ask you that question. You 21. Only thing you supposed to be giving this man's wife is hard D and bubblegum. I don't even know the whole story, but based off the information I've gotten from this story, that man had every right to whip your ass. And that leads me to my second point and the reason you getting donkey of the day. Can we play the last part of that news report? Just the last part? This part. Documents say Hill admitted the husband was.
Caller
Not visibly armed, but told police he, quote, couldn't do anything unless I shot.
Charlamagne tha God
Him because he can't, quote, out fight him him. Now, I was born in 1978, okay? I represent Generation X dropping the clues bomb for Generation X, all right? The generation born between 1965 and 1980. Some call us the forgotten generation because people tend to focus on baby boomers and millennials. Some call us the latchkey generation due to the high number of us who were left home unsupervised growing up. But that's what made us independent. That's what gave us resilience. That's what made us be able to adapt to things around us. This also made us us mind our goddamn business, okay? Being Generation X made a lot of us keep to ourselves and not meddle in other people's affairs. And if we did, we knew that there were consequences. And repercussions to our actions. Okay? The problem I have with Generation Z is y' all don't think y' all gotta get punched in the face, okay? Y' all don't think you have to deal with the consequences of your actions. If you're gonna sleep with that man's wife, then you have to deal with what comes with that. You said your son, you can out fight this man. So if you know that, then you don't need to be sleeping with his wife. And if you do, you need to be very, very, very, very discreet. You need to be super duper on the low, not in this man's face, so he can spit in it, okay? You don't even own a pistol. That's why you had to use your girlfriend's pistol to shoot her husband. How crazy does that sound? Okay, you had to use your girlfriend's pistol to shoot her husband. Real quick, can I talk about this whore for a second? Okay? I wish I had this whore's name, all right? You mean to tell me you running around here with this 21 year old year old, sleeping with him, got him around my kids, and he shoots me with your gun? How do you even explain that to. Your turn, okay? Thank God the husband is still alive because how could you ever explain to your kids that their daddy is dead because mama was out here popping her poom POOM for a 21 year old, and so he shot daddy with mama's gun, huh? This story stinks, okay? I can smell the bacterial vaginosis all over this story. Sorry. All right, Micah, you and the husband need to run from whoever this black widow is, okay? This woman you in jail for, and this woman the other guy is in the hospital for doesn't care about either one of y', all, okay? If. If she didn't, she would have. If she did, she wouldn't have either one of you in situations like this, okay? The husband already spitting your face once. That's a warning. Why she bringing you back around after that? Okay? Why you back around? You should know that some spit to the face could also turn to getting shot in the. Especially when you dealing with somebody's marital partner. See, ain't nobody teaching these youngins nothing. Man, I can name Quite a few OGs in my life who would have told me, leave that alone, okay? That woman going, that woman husband gonna kill you, okay? Straight like that. I can hear my daddy saying to me, that woman either gonna get you killed or you gonna have to kill her husband. Either way, you lose. And Micah, let Me be the first to tell you that you lost. Please give Micah Hill the biggest. He haw in jail for shooting your girlfriend's husband. How does that even sound?
Just Hilarious
That sounds crazy.
Charlamagne tha God
Come on, man, cut it out.
Lauren LaRosa
Got exactly what his ass deserve.
Charlamagne tha God
And if you can't, if you can't, you can't fight in the street. Oh, Lord God. What you think gonna happen to you in jail and you ain't got no picture pistol?
Just Hilarious
All right, well, thank you for that donkey today.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes, ma'. Am.
Just Hilarious
Now, when we come back, let's open up the phone lines. 800-585-1051. Ignore him, Jess. Well, let's open up the phone lines. With everything going on in this world right now, all right, we see a lot of stuff going on and we see a lot of people taping this stuff. So the question is 800-585-1051, when you see some activity going on, whether it's a fight, whether somebody doing something else legal, are you videotaping? Are you calling for help? Are you looking the other way?
Charlamagne tha God
Now, this came from something. We was talking about this the other day. Where did this come from?
Lauren LaRosa
Just people. Just online.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, I thought it was. I thought it was a story.
Just Hilarious
It was. I can't remember what the story was, but people are doing it all the time. Like, they.
Charlamagne tha God
They'll see it. Producers.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, oh, oh, oh. Remember I said it was a trend that this guy was fake kidnapping a kid?
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
We'll set the camera up to see how many people reacted to it. And it was literally, he did it like a hundred times. And like, only three people reacted. White woman and two black men.
Just Hilarious
So we're asking 800-585-1051, what do you do? Because you always hear these situations where.

Just Hilarious
You know, somebody gets into a problem on a train, right? And then somebody jumps in. And the person that jumps in to help, he's the one that gets killed.
Lauren LaRosa
Yes.
Just Hilarious
He's the one that gets caught. He's the one that gets hurt. He's the one that gets stabbed, grabbed up. So we're asking, and I at least.
Charlamagne tha God
Want you to pull your phone out to dial 91 1. Don't just, don't just pull your phone out to record. Yeah. Don't think about content.
Lauren LaRosa
Right? Right.
Just Hilarious
Well, that is the question. 800-585-1051. What are you doing? Let's talk about it. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Charlamagne tha God
Right now, add your opinion to the Breakfast Club topic. Break it down.
Caller
800-585-1051.
Charlamagne tha God
The.
Caller
The Breakfast Club. It's topic time. Call 800-585-1051 to join into the discussion with the Breakfast Club.
Charlamagne tha God
Talk about it. Morning, everybody.
Just Hilarious
It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlemagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Now, if you're just joining us, 800-585-1051. We're asking, with everything going on, on in the world today, when you see something, do you say something? Do you pull out your phone and record or do you look the other way? That is the question. Now, this conversation comes from something that just seen online. There was a, I guess a guy doing a prank where he act like he kidnapped some kids.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
Actually, he wouldn't even call it a prank. He was just trying to do like an experiment, right. Where he, the kid is actually his, his kid and he sets up cameras on at different intersections and he runs up behind a kid and snatches him and just goes into the alley or whatever.
DJ Envy
Right.
Lauren LaRosa
And then people, he wants to see how many people will react. People got their headphones on. And this is actually in New York City and people got their headphones on. People see it, they keep walking. They on the phone, they don't care. They, they still just walking, minding their business. It was one, one white woman who saw it, ran right after him in the alley, come out and you see him showing her the camera. Like, okay, now this is just an experiment because she was upset.
Caller
Set.
Lauren LaRosa
Same two. Two black guys followed him as well. And then he shows them, like, no, it's just an experiment or whatever. And that just made me think, like, damn, do people really not care? Or do people really feel like, yo, it ain't my business? So it's like, I mean, I'm praying, but it ain't my business. I don't want to be hurt or, you know, trying to save somebody else. But it's like, is that heartless or is that. I don't know, Are you scared to lose your life? Like, what is that?
Just Hilarious
I mean, you hear so many times of people, you know, know, jumping into a situation and wound up dying.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Just Hilarious
Especially, you know, if it's a domestic violence case where, you know, somebody jumps in to protect somebody and then the husband winds up, you know, beating him up or shooting him or stabbing him or even on a situation where you hear it all the time, where people are just minding their business, they try to do the right thing, and. And they end up dying.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Just Hilarious
So it's like, so what do you do in that situation, Jess?
Lauren LaRosa
I call the police. I ain't gonna lie. I will, I will literally call upon police. I, I, I can't just not do anything, you know, but I will call the police.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah. I'm not looking for nobody to be no hero, but I'm just looking for you to help. Like, I don't know what I would do in a lot of situations, because all situations are different. But I know what I'm not doing. I'm not pulling out my phone to just record. Yeah. I'm not thinking about content for my social media, you know what I mean?
Just Hilarious
All the time, like, a car get into a car accident and it be on fire, and the first thing somebody do is record the burning car.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah. Not even seeing somebody in.
Lauren LaRosa
Somebody is in it. Right.
Charlamagne tha God
And I ain't asking you to play firefighter. You're not smoking to bed. Just call 91 1. Like, how hard is it to pick up the phone and dial 911 and say, hey, this is what I'm seeing. I'm just, I'm just asking y' all not to pull out y' all phones and just record. The only time I'm pulling out my phone to record is if it's an extraterrestrial or something supernatural. Yeah.
Just Hilarious
Yeah. You know, I remember even, like, it was about 15, 16 years ago. The Breakfast Club just started. There was a car accident on Queens Boulevard in Queens And I seen it. I was on my way to work, So I called 911 and be like, hey, I just seen a car accident. Accident. There's people over there helping them. But I just wanted to call because it just happened. When I say the police called me at least 30 times, came to my house and everything. They made me feel like I was.
Charlamagne tha God
The one who did the accident.
Lauren LaRosa
Like you're the suspect.
Just Hilarious
Like I was the suspect.
Charlamagne tha God
Well, you know, they think you saw something, right?
Just Hilarious
But even though I explained what I seen, I was like, this red car hit. I didn't see anything. I was on my way.
Charlamagne tha God
But. But what's different? They always come to your house. You. We. You're a known informant.
Just Hilarious
Shut up, man.
Charlamagne tha God
What, you didn't know that? No.
Just Hilarious
Don't listen to him.
Charlamagne tha God
Like, I don't see a problem. Hello? Who's this?
Just Hilarious
This guy?
Charlamagne tha God
What's going on, Lamar?
Just Hilarious
Talk to us, brother.
Charlamagne tha God
Yo, so as a content creator, I got a YouTube channel called Boiler Heroes. It's very. It's very hard to make a decision at the moment when something's happening, if I'm a film it or not, because in my mind, like, I got more rules. So I'm gonna be like, man, I don't know if I should do this, but in my mind, I'm like, I could be one video away from making. Making it. I don't know what's making it, but I'm one video away. And this video could be the video to take me to the next level. So am I gonna film this? I think, take you to the next level. Back in the days. Hold on. Back in the days, we was always one song away. Like, you told us to go get a trade and all this other stuff, right? I got a trade right now. I'm filming it. So now I'm like, man, I was one song away back in the days, but now one video away. But black man, let's think about this. What happened? What happened to empathy? You know? I mean, what happened to humanity? Like, why. Like, why are you. At that very moment, in that very moment, every moment, if I see somebody in danger, if I see somebody in trouble, and I'm not willing to intervene and help myself, I'm not picking up my phone to record for personal content. I'm gonna pick up my phone to dial 9111 video away.
Lauren LaRosa
When you could have been a hero and save somebody.
Charlamagne tha God
That's true too, right? You're right. Nobody help. Nobody there to record him being a hero. Jesse.
Just Hilarious
But that's. But that's. The problem.
Charlamagne tha God
I can't be a hero if nobody see it. I need people to see it.
Just Hilarious
That's.
Charlamagne tha God
That's.
Just Hilarious
See, that's the problem. It's like, he'd rather be famous. He'd rather get those likes. He'd rather get that. The money from the views than actually save somebody.
Charlamagne tha God
That's the world we live in. That's literally the world we live in.
Caller
Hello?
Just Hilarious
Hello, who's this?
Caller
This is Angela in Columbia, South Carolina. How y' all doing this?
Charlamagne tha God
Metro 803, what's happening?
Caller
Let's go, let's go.
Just Hilarious
What's your thoughts, mama?
Caller
My point of view is I originally said that I was against the recording. However, in certain situations that need awareness. So not all recording, not all content is bad just because it's a bad situation. However, if you feel that you're gonna be in danger or it is a point that danger may happen, meaning a shooting or a fight or whatever the case, remove yourself. Don't be that person.
Charlamagne tha God
Okay, but I get what you're saying, but what. What if the person is in such immediate danger that you need to call 91 1? How is recording going to help that person? If that person needs, you know, some emergency assistance right then and there?
Caller
If that person needs emergency assistance, of course you need to call 911, but in the same. At the same time, I'm going to ask you. It depends on how many people are around. You know, you're making multiple 911 calls and the same breath, what could be doing one thing and the other can be doing?
Charlamagne tha God
Okay, now you bringing up a great point because we see these videos all the time and it be 20 people with their phone out who calling 911.
Lauren LaRosa
How many y' all need everybody, right?
Caller
It should be common sense. It should be common sense. You see somebody brains getting knocked on.
Charlamagne tha God
The blog, the common sense ain't common.
Caller
That's right, it ain't.
Charlamagne tha God
Nope.
Just Hilarious
Thank you so much.
Charlamagne tha God
You know what's so crazy? Common sense ain't never been common. Because my parents used to say that. And my grandparents used to say common sense ain't common. So common sense ain't never been coming.
Just Hilarious
We got Chris on the line. Chris, good morning.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes.
Just Hilarious
Chris, what are you doing? If you see something.
Charlamagne tha God
None, just nothing. You just mind your own business. You're not gonna at least call 911? No. You gotta mind your own business sometimes. Unless it's concerning you, that's it.
Lauren LaRosa
So if you see somebody snatching a kid up, what you doing?
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, you gotta call 911. Dead okay, then. Okay.
Lauren LaRosa
That's what I'm saying.
Charlamagne tha God
So don't act like you're not gonna do nothing, loving. I mean, you ain't gonna be able to do nothing unless, man, concerning you, like, the fighting on the side of the street, you know, just watching your business. But that's why I said earlier, it depends on what the situation is. Right?
Lauren LaRosa
Right.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, it just. It just. It just depends on the situation. Like you say, though. Like, they're just saying, like, if I see Jess on the side, I like Jeff. Jess, how you doing? Tell the man how you doing. DJ Envy, how you doing? Like, if I see Jess on the side side and she can't jump, I'mma jump.
Caller
I'mma help.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, I appreciate that. Thank you.
Charlamagne tha God
But I'm a helper. But I'm depending on who jumping on.
Just Hilarious
It depends who jumping you like. It depends, like, if I like. You know what I mean?
Lauren LaRosa
Cuz.
Charlamagne tha God
That might be a little confusing, though. We know who, J. What? I think that's a wig. Y' all better jump in. She dressed like a girl, but that was. Y' all better jump in. Y' all better be able to tell. Y' all better jump in. They jumping, J. But it's just one person.
Lauren LaRosa
No, Jay, it's the girl and the guy.
Charlamagne tha God
1. Get him. Get him, please. Hello? Hello? Who is this? Hello?
Just Hilarious
What's up, man?
Caller
This Jimmy, man.
Just Hilarious
Jimmy, you recording? I can hear it all in your voice, brother.
Charlamagne tha God
Listen, I was thinking when you had me on hold, I'm. I'm like, at first you want to get up out of there, you want.
Caller
To, you know, be safe, but I'm.
Charlamagne tha God
Gonna try to date the case. But nowadays, people be wild when you try to save the kids. You never know, you might get shot. You might get kidnapped, too. Nah, you gotta. You gotta help. You gotta assist the kids, man, because you know, that could be your child. Like, you got to assist the kids. Yo, you have to, like, you gotta. You gotta intervene in some way. But I'm saying, you never know, you try to do that, your ass might end up on the T shirt. You never know. Yell and scream, do something, make some noise.
Just Hilarious
But you see that. That all the time, too. You see a parent always. Usually a father disciplining a child, and then somebody stepping in, then that person that stepped in always gets their ass whooped. Yeah, that happens all the time.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, man. My. My. My now 9 year old, she used to have a fear of elevators. So we'd be at the airport, about to get on the elevator, and she would Yell and scream and run away from the elevator. And then I would have to go after her. And I'm just like. People think I'm trying. I'm trying to kidnap this little girl. You know what I'm saying? I had to explain to her, you know what? You don't want to put so much fear in her, but you cannot do this at the airport. People gonna think I'm trying to kidnap.
Just Hilarious
But just imagine, right? So imagine you do that. You grabbing your daughter, and then somebody.
Charlamagne tha God
Grab you, and now you gotta tell them, shut the F up. Mind your goddamn.
Just Hilarious
You fighting this guy because he grabbed you, and then you just trying to get your daughter. And he got a bunch of guys with him, DNA jumping you. You got your firearm on you, then you shoot him and he died for no reason.
Lauren LaRosa
Why would you have your firearm? It depends. Like, it depends on the situation?
Charlamagne tha God
Yes.
Lauren LaRosa
Like.
Just Hilarious
But what's the moral of the story?
Lauren LaRosa
Don't be so quick to record every damn thing.
Charlamagne tha God
That's the moral of the story.
Lauren LaRosa
You gotta call the police or yell or scream or something. If you don't want to end up on a T shirt, I totally understand that. So. But, like, do something.
Charlamagne tha God
That's all the police say. All police say. If you see something, say something. That means call 91 1. I'm not asking you to play hero.
Lauren LaRosa
Right?
Charlamagne tha God
But just don't pick up the phone and record Horde. Yeah. Don't just think. Don't just think. Content. First, help me and seriously, help me.
Lauren LaRosa
If I'm getting jumped by a bunch of Mr. Sisters, please.
Charlamagne tha God
See what I'm saying?
Lauren LaRosa
Handle it.
Just Hilarious
You're on your own. They ain't beat me up. All right, we got the latest with Lauren coming up. Don't go anywhere at the Breakfast Club.

Charlamagne tha God
Sometimes you have facts. Sometimes you have details. Sometimes you have a little bit everything.
Caller
Well, it's the latest on the Breakfast Club.
Charlamagne tha God
Talk to me.
DJ Envy
All right, guys, so this was just filed moments ago. So it's breaking right now. Diddy. Diddy's legal team has submitted a request to the judge asking for bail again for Diddy. You guys remember he was denied bail while awaiting his sentence sentencing, which is going to happen on October 3rd. Because the judge said that Diddy was a danger to the community because of all the violence and just his disregard for the law that they felt like went down now. So here's what they're saying really quick. They're saying that. And they have this new bail package that the judge could consider because of three things. Most people convicted of the same charges. The two men at counts that Diddy are convicted of are let go, but prior to their sentencing. And they provide a bunch of case law that shows you other instances where people in Diddy's position have been able to be released while they await the sentencing. One of the things that they point out is that he was not. They claim that Diddy was not a direct customer of the Axe. So. So they're saying even though there were these escorts and all these things happened, Diddy himself did not have sex with the men that were hired to come and have spend time with his girlfriends. It was just a part of the lifestyle that they did. But his girlfriends at the time, Jane and Cassie, were the only people who benefited from the services. So he shouldn't be a person that is behind bars.
Just Hilarious
So he paid for the escort service, not the sex. They're trying to say.
DJ Envy
Yeah, but they're also just saying, too. It's. It's rare that you see in any of the cases that they provided a person who has. Who hasn't benefited from this whole ring that you're alleging be behind bars, especially while awaiting sentencing. So they're trying to make that point and comparing it to other cases. They also mentioned that logic don't make.
Charlamagne tha God
No sense, though, because if I buy a kilo of cocaine, it don't matter what I do with it. I still bought the kilo of cocaine. I don't have to sell it. I don't have to use it, but I bought it.
Just Hilarious
But I guess he tried to say, is he. He bought the prostitute.
Charlamagne tha God
If I bought it and gave it to you, I'm still guilty.
Just Hilarious
But he's saying he bought the escort for comforting service. He didn't have sex with the escort. I guess that's what matter.
Charlamagne tha God
You still pay for the prostitute. You still pay for the prostitute.
DJ Envy
But they're not arguing because you guys. What you guys are arguing kind of goes more toward is he guilty of it or not? And they're not arguing that it didn't happen. They're saying it happened. But because he didn't directly benefit, he shouldn't be the person behind bars right now while he awaits the sentencing.
Charlamagne tha God
What about this semen that I rubbed on my nipples. Prostitute. That was a benefit. Oh, my God.
Lauren LaRosa
Therapy.
DJ Envy
They also claim that views on sex have changed because the men act is so old. It's 115 years old. It was created back in 1910. So because of the way the views on sex have changed, maybe things like the semen on the nipples should not be considered. And who benefited, by the way?
Charlamagne tha God
I do think Diddy. I do think Diddy should have a bond. I thought he should have had a bond a long time ago. I'm just simply saying that argument.
Lauren LaRosa
Really?
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
DJ Envy
I didn't feel like you thought that.
Charlamagne tha God
Huh?
DJ Envy
I didn't think that you thought that.
Just Hilarious
I would stay. I said. I always said that he should have had a bond, but.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, especially after he got, you know, found out, guilty on all those big charges and he was. Yeah. Yes, you should have them on.
DJ Envy
Well, the third reason that they mentioned on here is that, well, we talked about this. They're just backing up the claims that Diddy did not have sex with the minute he hired his girlfriends did. So, yeah, this was literally just file. I'll actually be doing a deeper dive into this on the latest with Lauren Rose of the podcast, because I've got this walking in the room, but wanted to let you guys know that this was going down. And we kind of predicted this when we talked about the prosecutor being fired. Remember we mentioned, like, maybe at this point now his team will try again, because the prosecutor at the time, who was comey, the lead prosecutor, was like, he don't need to come home. And they did everything they could to convince the judge, but it's the judge.
Charlamagne tha God
It's not the prosecutor.
DJ Envy
But I do think that there. There's going to be some conversation around how things were positioned to the judge based on how the prosecutors presented their case.
Charlamagne tha God
The judge is probably gonna say he's still not taking accountability for what he was found guilty for, potentially. That's what the judge is gonna say. The judges say they're still trying to do workarounds. At some point, you're gonna have to show some type of accountability if you looking for leniency from the judge.
DJ Envy
Yeah. Especially because the judge was very direct in saying, you know, it's not just how the prosecutors feel and what they think should happen, but he directly pointed out some of the things that happened while Diddy was awaiting to turn himself in at the hotel here in New York with things being set up in the room and all those things. So we'll have to kind of wait to see.
Just Hilarious
Yeah, but is he Looking for leniency or is he looking for the law? Right, because the law, they haven't had any case where anybody has hired a property prostitute and has been in jail without a bond for over a year because that's what he's found guilty of, hiring a prostitute and carrying more state lines. And anybody that has had that for their first time offense has all gotten a bond, has not done this much time. So the judge can say that, but it's supposed to be what's fair in.
Caller
The court of law.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
DJ Envy
On page two of the document, when they talk about the exceptional reasons why he should be released. Because remember they mentioned the only reason he would get a bond in this situation if it was exceptional is that that they say in the history of the man act statute, in the history of the man act, there has never.
Charlamagne tha God
Been.
DJ Envy
There has never been facts presented this way to incarcerate any other person. So basically, like we don't, we've never seen this from the cases that they're providing. They don't see it. But what will happen is, is the other side will go and try and find more cases to go back at what they tried.
Just Hilarious
They couldn't find a case where a person has hired a prostitute, has been in this jail this long and has never got a bond.
DJ Envy
But then he still don't have a bond though, so it worked. So I mean, again, this is just.
Just Hilarious
Some shooting their shit.
Charlamagne tha God
All I'm hearing is trouble is easy to get into and hard to get out of. That's what my parents used to always say. My dad used to always say that trouble is easy to get into and hard to get out of.
DJ Envy
Very much so, yeah. Dang. I wonder. That's it.
Charlamagne tha God
You got still some time left.
DJ Envy
Okay, well, I did want to, you know, talk about Glorilla. Cause she got her a boo now. Okay, now Charlamagne, you can be all up in her business because it's basically public at this point.
Charlamagne tha God
Why would I be in Glorilla business?
DJ Envy
You had asked her about Damian Lillard. Remember you did that on your sit down show that you do.
Lauren LaRosa
Charlemagne, man. Now you can be all about her business.
DJ Envy
And she was like, yo, relax, you all up in my business.
Charlamagne tha God
Chill joking.
DJ Envy
But now she, she popped out. So her and Brandon Ingram were spotted first in a club in Cabo. She's been celebrating her birthday. And in the video she's like hugging him and they walk in together. And then additionally there's a video that now, you know, is being reported of them two in the car. And it's really cute. She has two phones. She has one for the light. She's holding up the other one and they're like, you know, just making a video together. So salute to them. No, there it looks like, you know, she might got her little boot thing.
Just Hilarious
All right.
DJ Envy
In the summer wit. Shout out to Glow.
Charlamagne tha God
I don't think you should report on nobody's relationships because you don't want nobody to report on yours.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, God, stop.
Charlamagne tha God
I'm sick.
Just Hilarious
Does she have a relationship?
Charlamagne tha God
Who? She got a couple. Really?
DJ Envy
I don't have a couple of nothing. I don't know which.
Charlamagne tha God
I got two different videos. I bet you won't.
DJ Envy
You have videos, but do not.
Charlamagne tha God
Couple of nothing.
Lauren LaRosa
You can't do nothing.
Caller
Exactly.
DJ Envy
For some reason, when you go out on a date, people like to be all up in your business.
Charlamagne tha God
How many dates? That's what it was.
Just Hilarious
That's the latest with Lauren requested. Now it's the Breakfast Club.
Charlamagne tha God
Good morning.
DJ Envy
Ready to pay for that wedding?
Caller
The Breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be the same.
Just Hilarious
Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlemagne the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Salute to comedian Nate Jackson for joining us this morning.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes. If you haven't checked out super funny on Netflix, man, you need to. If you don't have Netflix, who I would, which I don't even know who that would be in this game. He got a bunch of stuff on YouTube. A lot of different crowd work too, man. Nate is a funny dude.
Just Hilarious
That's right. So definitely check out his special.
Charlamagne tha God
And poor Gary. I really had no idea that Nate and Gary did a podcast together. Together.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
And Gary is still looking for a Netflix special. Why doesn't Gary Owen have a Netflix special? Serious question and only reason I bring it up. Because he wants one. He's the only person I actually actively always see campaigning for one. He really wants one.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, well, I can't feel sorry for him. He's white.
Charlamagne tha God
Very true. That's a good point. If he hasn't figured it out, well, who are we to intervene?
Lauren LaRosa
We can't help him now.
Just Hilarious

I do, man. I want to talk to you all about passion. You know, I love Wayne W. Dyer. And I was out last night. I was out at, I took my daughter to go see Gracie Abrams at Madison Square Garden. And it's always interesting to watch, you know, artists because, you know, my, my daughter's a Gracie Abrams fan. So I saw her when she was at Radio City and then I've seen her grow to, you know, now be at the Garden selling, selling out two shows in a row. And it just made me think about passion, right? Like you got to be passionate about something and life. And passion is a feeling that tells you this is the right thing to do. Nothing can stand in my way. It doesn't matter what anyone else says. This feeling is so good that it cannot be ignored. I'm going to follow my bliss and act upon this glorious sensation of joy. That is a quote from Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. I live by that. I agree. Passion. Find yours and don't let anybody stop you from following it. Have a great day. Breakfast club bitches.
