All right, so we will certainly talk about the latest regarding Ghislaine Maxwell and those Epstein files, or lack thereof. But first, let's get into some presidential news. On front page now. President Trump is announcing a new trade deal with the European Union that would lower tariffs to 15%. He made the announcement during a joint news conference in Scotland on Sunday, calling it the biggest of all deals. Meanwhile, European Commissioner head Ursula von der Leyen claims the agreement will rebalance trade between the two partners. Let's take a listen to their comments in part.

So Trump went on to say the 27 member EU has agreed to purchase $750 billion of worth of energy and make $600 billion worth of investments in the U.S. the deal ends months of uncertainty surrounding trade with America's largest trading partner. So shout out to that trade deal. In other presidential news, President Trump says the US Will ramp up aid in Gaza in response to the humanitarian crisis there. Israel Defense Forces announced on Sunday they are starting a tactical pause of military operations in Gaza so humanitarian aid convoys can reach starving Palestinians. President Trump made the comment while addressing the media before trade talks with the EU chief in Scotland. Let's take a listen to President Trump's comments.

US Is going to do more aid for Gaza, but we'd like to have other countries participate. We're going to mention that to the European Union today. You know, that's an international problem.

A spokesperson for the Israel Defense Force says the it will observe a tactical pause from 10am to 8pm daily in areas where the military is not operating until further notice. More than 100 aid trucks began moving into Gaza from Egypt following Sunday's announcement. Of course, the decision comes amid growing international outrage over widespread starvation on the Gaza Strip. I'm sure you guys have seen images and video regarding that. And for my last story, police say a Royal Caribbean crew member stabbed a fellow member during a cruise to the Bahamas and then died after jumping overboard. The Royal Bahamas Police Force says it happened on Thursday night a few hundred miles off the coast of the Bahamas. In a statement, Royal Caribbean said our crew immediately initiated a search and rescue operation, but unfortunately the crew member passed away. They revealed no further information, but police claim that a 35 year old South African man stabbed a 28 year old South African woman, maybe another crew member, which is being reported multiple times, and then jumped into the water. Now, that woman survived the stabbing incident.

So 11 people are recovering after they were stabbed seemingly at random at a Michigan Walmart store on Saturday. Grand Traverse County Sheriff Michael Shea says 42 year old Bradford Gilly was arrested and is facing a charge of terrorism and 11 counts of attempted murder. Let's hear more from Grand Traverse County Sheriff Michael Shea about the scene.

At the time of the deputy's arrival, multiple citizens, including one who was armed with a pistol, were confronting the male suspect in the parking lot and preventing him from harming further people and leaving. During the incident, 11 individuals were injured by the suspect. The weapon used was a folding knife with a three and a half inch cutting blade.

[Lauren LaRosa]

Yeah.

So the sheriff also noted that the incident does appear to be a random act and of course, the victims were not predetermined. The victim's age range from 29 to 84 year old. And one patient was released from the Munson Medical Center. And all are expected to survive. A group of bystanders and surrounded Gilly in the parking lot and would not let him escape before deputies arrived and handcuffed the man. Let's take a listen to that audio. And just a disclaimer that could be hard for some to listen to in the Walmart.

And he's being held a hero.

I don't know his last name, but his first name is Derek.

Well, let's switch gears to the Epstein files, or lack thereof. On Friday, Epstein. On Friday, Epstein associate Glenn Maxwell wrapped up a second day of questioning by an official of the Justice Department. The convicted sex trafficker was granted limited immunity in order to allow her to answer questions about Jeffrey Epstein without fear the information could be used against her in a future case, although it would only apply if she told the truth. Now, her lawyer, David Marcus, spoke to reporters outside of the Florida prison where she's currently serving her sentence. And she and said she was not granted clemency. But she did answer every single question, including questions about 100 different people linked to Epstein. Let's take a listen to David Marcus.

She was asked maybe about a hundred different people.

Everybody knows Ms. Maxwell would. Would welcome any relief.

So in 2022, Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison for sex trafficking of minors. Meanwhile, House Speaker Mike Johnson hopes that Ghislaine Maxwell was telling the truth during that meeting with the Justice Department. In an interview with NBC's Meet the Press, Johnson said the victims of sexual abuse are a priority, but added that Maxwell's testimony could be beneficial. So lawmakers across the country continue to call for transparency regarding these files, these Jeffrey Epstein files. In an interview with ABC's this Week, Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna says it's time for these files to come into the light. And the California Democrat was joined by Republican Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky in co sponsoring a bill that would force the House vote to release the Epstein files. Now the two spoke more about the legislation. Let's hear more from Representatives Khanna and Massie.

The American people desperately for all of the evidence of the files to come out so they can decide for themselves. It has the force of law. It's not a subpoena.

Yeah. So they're looking to maybe, you know, put that thing, that bill on the floor, get a vote and require those files to be released. But right now, Congress is in recess, August recess. There's one more story that I think I really need to share. I know I'm probably over time, but this is something that I feel like if I don't share it, then I, I don't know, I'm just gonna go ahead and share it. But there is a Legionnaires outbreak in central Harlem I think that New Yorkers should be aware about. According to the New York City Department of Health, which says five cases have been discovered, but there are possibly Several others waiting test results. The warning has been issued for zip codes 127, 130, 135, and 137. Water is being tested in those neighborhoods to find the source. Health officials say Legionnaires disease, which is a type of pneumonia, is transmitted by breathing in water vapor that contains the Legionella bacteria, but it's not transmitted person to person. So officials also say if you have flu like symptoms, you should contact your doctor as soon as possible. Don't wait for that cough or that sneeze to go away. So Ray J felt like, first of all, he said that this may be one of his last interviews. But, you know, Ray J He addressed a lot of things. So the first thing that he wanted to get into with Cam Newton or one of the first things was his relationship with Whitney Houston and the fact that people blame him for Whitney Houston's passing. He says, when everything happened with Houston, when the news broke that she had passed away, there were reports by certain outlets that Ray had found her. And people instantly said it was Ray J. And then he said, 10 minutes later, certain outlets came up and cleared up the fact that it wasn't Ray J. Brandi's brother, Ray J Singer, however you reference him, but it was her security guard, Ray. But he said at that point, 10 minutes had already passed. So this is something that, like, he's been living with since then. And of course, you know, they had a very close relationship. So it's something that it doesn't feel good to him to have to live with. And people bring it up and have conversations about. So he. He wanted to address it.

But my thing is, like, yo, when they were saying it, because I. I don't know how Charlemagne didn't see it. Like, that's all he was saying for a long time, for after, like, you know, Ray J is very vocal on certain things. I'm like, yo, why wouldn't he just say, yo, I ain't. That was like, that wasn't me. Like, why wouldn't you? Why would you wait till now to clear it up?

He's never really spoke about Whitney.

[Lauren LaRosa]

Never spoke about it at all. And then respect to our family and respect for the love that he had for her. I get it. But it's like, yo, you being blamed for this.

Yes. You know, Well, I think this interview, what his intention was behind it was, you know, to be able to finally do things like that. But he says in this interview as well, that the reason why he's never addressed it in. He avoids certain questions is obviously. But also he says that, you know, there are certain questions that you shouldn't have to ask him. Like when people ask him about Whitney Houston and her drug use, he doesn't feel like it's his place to answer that. Like, we know the story of Whitney Houston and things that have happened. And also, she's not here. Their plan that they had together didn't happen. He never saw her again after that. So I think it's just more of like a respecting and wanting to stay in his place out of the respect for the relationship they had.

And the wild thing about Ray is, you know, we make fun. Everybody makes fun of Ray, and we joke Ray a lot. But all the big things in his life, he never really spoke about. He never really spoke about that. Kim Kardashian tape him because damn lie. No, he didn't.

That was probably the worst, worst thing that's ever happened to me. If you look from then till now, the most distasteful. When you have a daughter, now there's victims and I'm the. The aggressor or whatever it's called. And then we can't work in the industry no more. We can't do Dancing with the Stars and America's Got Talent. There's nothing I was able to do in the music industry. I mean, not in entertainment. When that happened, I don't own. Only anxiety. I feel is like, yo, it's so simple. Just tell what happened and I can walk away. And I'm talking to the family just tell man. So my daughter's good. I'm in contracts with these mother. I don't supposed to say none of this. I'm in contracts for what I'm doing now to shut the up.

So what happened when all of them were in on it together?

Because you can't just sell a sex tape to any of these companies. Everybody knows that everybody has to sign off. All parties involved.

But the way they made it seem like. But they made it. The way they made it seem like is that sex tape tape leak went from the door. They made it seem like it was a leak. It was a mistake. Oh, my gosh. Oh, that's. That's how they made it seem like.

Well, common sense to tell people that.

You know, you can't just leak a sex tape. When they leak it and they. They not leak it. When they put it out for mass distribution and sell it. Yes, all parties involved sign off on it.

Well, to the point of what you guys are talking about. Back in 2022, this came up again because Reggie did a big interview, remember, where he said Kris Jenner was. Though he alleged Kris Jenner was the one that signed off on that. Vivid. Vivid was the company who distributed the sex tape that she signed off. And I remember being at TMZ and I remember being in the newsroom, and there was such a back and forth because you cannot release something there. Someone has to sign the paperwork for Vivid in order for things to be out.

I'm old enough to remember the CEO of Vivid doing Vlad TV and breaking down the deal.

Yes. But at the time, sources on that side, on the Kardashian side, still remained that they had nothing to do with.

And that's why he says he doesn't say much about anything. Then he also talks about, you know, cuz now he's addressing his mess ups. He says, you know, he's had issues with his sister in the past. The more I think about it, though, all of these things that the old folks used to do to us or say to us, it really was just to regulate our nervous systems. When you think about it. Like, it was these things that just simply made us feel good and calm, like the ginger ale, the crackers to go lay down. My grandmother used to make toast with cheese and give me some hot tea. And no matter what you was going through, you would eat that and drink that tea, go to sleep, wake up feeling brand new.

It was just more so about the love that was in it.

Well, guys, we talked about the tea app in here, here. And for all of the ladies who went and signed up for the T app, and for some of the ladies that were already accepted onto the T app, there has been some trouble in paradise. We cannot have nothing because over the weekend, black owned, I, when I say we, I just mean us as women. You know, YouTube girl. So over the weekend, it was announced by the T app that there had been a data breach. So a lot of the legacy storage systems, the data there for its users, have been breached. The company said that it detected unauthorized access to about 72, 000 images, including 13, 000 selfies and images of identification documents, which the company asks you for because they're trying to verify that the users who are signing up are women.

Big lawsuits, bro.

So then you wonder, okay, well, who exact whose data was exactly leaked? So the T app says that the data, data that was leaked belonged to users who signed up before February 2024, and that typically the some of this information. According to the the T's privacy policy, the selfies it solicits are deleted shortly after the users are verified. But the hacked images were not deleted. The data set was stored in compliance with law enforcement requirements related to cyber bullying prevention, according to what T said in its statement. Now, where did it end up? I saw and I at first I thought that this was fake, but I saw people begin to say, yo, it's photos of me all over because of the T app and blah, blah, blah. According to New York Times, data from the hack, including photos of women and identification cards containing personal details, appeared to circulate online on Friday. So if you were seeing some of that and people reacting to that, that was a real thing.

I'm shocked they haven't gotten sued by members of the LGBTQ community who feel like the site should be inclusive to more than just women.

[Lauren LaRosa]

Oh, my God. Somebody said that.

You know how they do, right? I can see a. A class action lawsuit coming right now.

Apps, they do all types of LGBT.

Apps, and I'm shocked they haven't gotten sued by people who are. Are getting posted on that. On that site. And they not. They don't even have nothing to do with it anymore.

Well, the app says that now they are working with a third party cyber security expert or experts and that there was no evidence to suggest that other users data were leaked besides that contained, I guess, amount of users that they had. So they're basically trying to counter this. So, yeah, right now, in other news over the weekend or actually late last night, there was an exclusive story that broke via TMZ that Marcus Morris, senior, former NBA player, 13 year NBA veteran, was taken into custody in Broad County, Florida. But there was no real details about the arrest at the time. TMZ mentioned that there was an online booking record for him and they also had a mug shot. The only thing that was known was that there was a some sort of alleged fraudulent charge. Now on the online booking website that I have pulled up here, you do have the arrest date as Sunday. It does mention that he was arrested in the airport, but again there was no more information. But his brother actually posted because people began to run the headlines. His brother posted and basically said that the headlines were unfair and that know he would be out himself to be able to tell you guys what really happened in that. Whatever the alleged fraud charge was, it was something small, but because of the headlines, it was made to look bigger. And I have tried to reach out. I tried to get the police report to get more details. There's not much listed for them team wise. But I reached out to what I could find. Like I reached out to his brother, his twin brother who had posted this and haven't gotten any information back as well. But according to the booking site, you know, that's what most of these reports went off of.

Yeah. Now. Oh yeah. And the fraud charge was in. I mentioned the amount because the fraud charges listed on the booking website was in response to insufficient funds. Insufficient funds. Check.

But most people don't know And I'm not saying that this is part of it, but if you write a check and it bounces, you can be arrested for if it's over 500. If you know you didn't have the funds and you still write a check, that is considered a fraud charge. Not saying that this. This is what happened here, but that is something that can happen that most people don't know. Because everybody's bounced a check by accident before, right?

Yeah. And his brother said all they can say is lessons learned. That, you know, his brother was embarrassed in front of his family in the airport. And it's weird, but, you know, won't stop nothing. And he'll be. His brother Marcus will be out to tell his own story on his own side. And as we close today at 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time, there will be a press conference that Dion Sanders. Sanders will hold. You guys, remember we talked a bit about him, Deion Sanders, going through some health battles. Yes. We still don't know exactly what it was, but they released this video yesterday to talk about the press conference. Let's take a listen.

His son, who records all of our content, Deion Sanders Jr also posted an additional video where he says that the battle that they're going to be talking to us about is won now, which is why we're going to see a lot of content that he's been recording. And he recorded it because his dad asked him to. And he didn't want to at first, but now he understands why he needed to.

Yes, he said that the battle was won. Yes, he did say that. But that press conference will take place today. And Deion Sanders Jr also mentioned that the battle begin April, right before the draft.
