Pretty Vee
Hilarious. What's up, y'all?
Jess Hilarious
Charlamagne, the guy.
DJ Envy
Peace to the planet. It's Thursday. Good morning. How y'all feeling out there? I feel blessed, black, and highly favored. Happy to be here another day to serve our beautiful listeners. Good morning to one and all.
Jess Hilarious
What's up, Jess? How you feeling?
Pretty Vee
I'm feeling good. I ain't going to lie, though. I do not like riding past people that drive the bikes. They don't look and they don't use their lane. I tried. No, they real slick. They swerve off, like, for real. But I. I just don't. I don't like it.
Jess Hilarious
Well, you can hit them. I just want to say that. You cannot hit them.
Pretty Vee
I know. I've tried, though. That don't mean anything that you can't. They. They supposed to. Yo, that's why they have a lane, right?
Jess Hilarious
That's. That's facts.
Pretty Vee
That's crazy. Like, you know, like, the buses got a lane. They in their lane. Why don't y'all drive in the lane that's built for y'all?
DJ Envy
Do you hit your horn loud and aggressively?
Pretty Vee
Absolutely.
DJ Envy
You can't control the volume, but, yeah.
Pretty Vee
I speed up on the. On a back wheel and everything. Just. I don't care.
DJ Envy
Yeah, don't do that. I was actually driving with a person one time in Jersey, and for whatever reason, soon as they got in the car. I can't stand these people in these bike lanes, and they hit the gas, and when they hit that gas, they ended up hitting that person at the bike.
Pretty Vee
And what happened?
John Cameron Mitchell
The person rolled over.
DJ Envy
What did he. And, you know, they be like. They like. It's a bunch of them.
Jess Hilarious
There's a crew.
DJ Envy
So he kept driving just for two seconds. Oh, my God. He had to pull that thing over. Yeah. Yes. No.
Jess Hilarious
It's funny. I hated the bikers until I became a biker in Covid, because I started riding like I was the one.
DJ Envy
The bike. Yeah.
Jess Hilarious
I was riding the bike, like, miles, 30, 40 miles a day. And then I started hating drivers, I swear.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Jess Hilarious
All day.
DJ Envy
The reality is staying. You know, I did. Wolf Packer told us that yesterday. Stay in your lane.
Jess Hilarious
Yeah. Stay in your lane.
DJ Envy
And your lane ain't getting no wider bikers. Okay? It's definitely not.
Jess Hilarious
It's definitely not. Cause the bikers got to deal with everybody in their lane. They got to deal with walkers, pedestrians. They got to deal with people on skateboards. They got to deal with all that. So sometimes you got to veer out.
DJ Envy
A little bit to get back in the crazy part. That's with their safety. That's the ill part about it. Like, forget what we saying right now. Stay in your lane for your safety.
Pretty Vee
Yeah, exactly.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Jess Hilarious
Well, good morning, guys. We got Pretty Vee joining us this morning.
Pretty Vee
That's my girl.
Jess Hilarious
She has a new book, the Pretty 100 Day Guide to recenter yourself and find your purpose.
DJ Envy
Yeah, we was in Brooklyn last night at Powerhouse arena having a great conversation about Pretty Vee's new devotional, the Pretty victory.
Jess Hilarious
Okay, so we're gonna be chopping it up with Pretty Vee. Also, we gotta salute. You know, today's Rihanna's birthday.
Pretty Vee
Hi, Bieber Zayn.
Jess Hilarious
Happy birthday to riri.
Pretty Vee
What's up?
DJ Envy
Salute Sav. Roger.
Pretty Vee
I know who she is.
Jess Hilarious
Oh, they don't have an age.
Pretty Vee
Oh, okay.
DJ Envy
Drop on the clues bomb for asap. Man, I'm so glad you got found not guilty. You'd be sick sitting in prison right now.
Pretty Vee
Yeah.
DJ Envy
On your.
Pretty Vee
On your girl's birthday.
DJ Envy
What? Jesus.
Pretty Vee
I know. I keep calling him his wife. I. I keep calling her his wife. Hey, they not married, are they? I don't know. For some reason, I thought they did. I thought I heard that somewhere. I don't know.
Jess Hilarious
Think so.
Pretty Vee
Either way, I'm 37.
DJ Envy
God damn.
Pretty Vee
37.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Pretty Vee
Okay. Happy birthday, girl.
Jess Hilarious
All right, well, let's get the show cracking. We got front page news when we come back. We gotta re. Rejoin.
DJ Envy
Okay.
Jess Hilarious
All right. Happy birthday, Riri. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
DJ Envy
Morning, everybody.
Jess Hilarious
It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlemagne the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get in some front page news. Good morning, Morgan.
DJ Envy
Good morning, DJ Envy.
Morgan
Charlemagne the God. And just hilarious. How y'all doing on this Thursday?
DJ Envy
Friday, less black and highly favored. Morgan. Good, good.
Morgan
All right, so top of the headlines, guys. President Trump addressed the future investment initiative Institute priority summit in Miami beach on Miami Beach, Florida. The summit which is host Saudi Arabia's sovereign sovereign wealth fund, is described as a gathering of global leaders, innovators and visionaries aiming to tackle the most pressing challenges and opportunities. He spoke about the Russian Ukraine war where he once again blamed Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelinsky for starting the war. And he also talked about securing the border and said more tariffs are on the way. Let's hear more from President Trump at that event.
DJ Envy
I'm going to be announcing tariffs on cars and semiconductors and chips and pharmaceuticals, drugs and pharmaceuticals and lumber probably and some other things over the next month or sooner. And it's going to have a big impact on America. We're bringing our businesses back. If they don't make their product in America, then they very simply, they have to pay a tariff. But if they do make their product in America, they don't have to pay any tariff.
Morgan
And of course, there's been some drama surrounding President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky. As mentioned, President Trump continues to criticize the President Zelensky on social media. National Security Advisor Mike Walsh spoke about the relationship, relationship between the two leaders after Trump called Zelensky, quote, a dictator without elections. And a post on Truth Social. Now Waltz slammed those who criticized how the president is handling the Ukraine Russian war. Let's hear more from National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
Charlamagne Tha God
Well, it's one that's frustrated right now and clearly is going in the wrong direction. But what President Trump is focused on is ending the fighting. A lot of the same voices demanding a cease fire in Gaza and in the Middle east are now, what, criticizing how we get to a cease fire now in Europe. And I got to tell you, all those voices will quiet down when we get to that cease fire and when we get to a broader deal.
Morgan
So Trump also describes Zelensky as a, quote, modestly successful comedian, end quote, who talked the US into going into a war that couldn't be won. Of course, this comes a day after Trump suggested Ukraine started the war with Russia. He also said the Ukraine, Russia war is more important to Europe than the US and noted we have a big, beautiful ocean as separation. Any thoughts on that, guys?
DJ Envy
Yeah, my thought is I hear people, you know, repeat the things President Trump said, but they never correct him. Like Ukraine didn't start the war.
Charlamagne Tha God
Right.
DJ Envy
Like Russia launched the full scale invasion, invasion of Ukraine in February of 2022. So, I mean, I don't, I don't even know why people repeat that without, you know, adding the fact that that's not true.
Jess Hilarious
Well, nobody ever corrects Donald Trump. Nobody ever corrects him.
DJ Envy
That is true.
Morgan
No, that is, that is true. What do you guys think about these talks, these negotiations and whether or not, you know, Ukraine is involved?
DJ Envy
Oh, no, Ukraine should definitely be involved in the peace talks. Like that don't even make any sense. Like, you can't, you know, that's like having a negotiation for your contract and you're not at the table. Like, you're not talking to your agent, you're not talking to your manager, whoever it is, or if you're at your job, you know, negotiating something, you'd be sitting at the table negotiating it for you. So, yes, Ukraine needs to be sitting.
Jess Hilarious
At the table, but I would be very fearful if I was Ukraine, because obviously, we can see Donald Trump has no respect for Zelensky or Ukraine, and he's going to do what he wants to do regardless. So, you know, he's going to make this deal on behalf of Ukraine.
Morgan
All right, so moving on, we do have an update on an executive order. An appeals court has ruled President Trump cannot end birthright citizenship for now. The U.S. constitution says anyone born in the United states becomes a U.S. citizen, an amendment Trump has been trying to overthrow with an executive order. When a Seattle judge banned that order, the Department of Justice filed an emergency request to lift the ban and end birthright citizenship. So on Wednesday, the ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled births right citizenship will remain the law while the case moves forward, with arguments slated for June. So we will continue to update you as June comes around with that. But in as, as of right now, if you were born in America, you United States of America, you are safe, supposedly.
DJ Envy
All right. You say that stupid people are showing they operating above the law. They don't care what y'all saying. I. I wouldn't trust that I stay in the house, whatever you've been doing. Okay. Have you been getting low? I would stay low. I'm just.
Pretty Vee
That's probably why Chris Mob ain't leave out yet.
DJ Envy
You see what I'm saying? Was she born in.
Pretty Vee
I ain't never exited. No, I'm not even exited. Every day I go home, I'll be knocking on the door like, hey, it's always like, just playing with us.
DJ Envy
You play too much.
Pretty Vee
That's funny. I'll be laughing.
Morgan
It doesn't hurt to have a drill, right?
Scott Galloway
I mean, yeah.
Pretty Vee
You know, you got no off your chest.
Jess Hilarious
800-585-1051. If you need to vent, phone lines are wide open again. 800-5851-051. Call us up now. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
DJ Envy
The Breakfast Club.
Jess Hilarious
Wake up, wake up.
DJ Envy
This is your time to get it off your chest. Whether you're man or blessed, we want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club.
Pretty Vee
Who's this?
DJ Envy
Hey, what's up?
Scott Galloway
It's B from Houston.
DJ Envy
What's up?
Jess Hilarious
What's going on?
DJ Envy
Well, my name is Brittany, but, you know, the whole world named Brittany, so. Obi. You said B. I'm sorry, but I just want to get off my chest.
Scott Galloway
Hey, bro, it's 29 degrees.
DJ Envy
I am over this cold weather. Can we, like, get back? We in Texas, like, no. Are you ready? You ready for it to become springtime so you can complain about the heat the way you complaining about the cold? You know what? I just moved to Houston from Dallas, like, literally six months ago, and I'm not ready for the heat.
Scott Galloway
You're absolutely right, but I take the.
DJ Envy
Heat out of the cold. I can't do this.
Jess Hilarious
Houston eat different. What's. The humidity is high. It's hot.
Pretty Vee
What's the degrees right now there?
Jess Hilarious
She's at 29.
Pretty Vee
Oh, 29.
DJ Envy
It's 29 degrees. Oh, my God.
Scott Galloway
I love y'all so much.
DJ Envy
Well, guess what? New York is cold. It's 19 degrees right now. Yeah, y'all made for it.
Pretty Vee
I ain't made for this.
DJ Envy
I'm from South Carolina. It's cold. Yeah, we not made for this.
Jess Hilarious
Well, thank you.
DJ Envy
Brittany actually say it's going to be snow showers this morning.
Jess Hilarious
Said a little bit of snow.
Pretty Vee
I'm from Baltimore. I made for this.
Jess Hilarious
Hello? Who's this?
DJ Envy
It's your boy, Lovey from the Bronze Good morning, Breakfast Club.
Jess Hilarious
Happy birthday, Lovey.
Pretty Vee
Morning, Lovey.
DJ Envy
Lovey, what does shrinkage look like for you? What does breakfast. I'm asking because it's cold. I mean, if anybody that's joining us, Lovey has a. How. How long is your penis, Lovey?
Jess Hilarious
You tell us. Charlamagne.
DJ Envy
Thirteen and a half. Okay, so what does shrinkage look like for you? Thirteen and three. Quarter. Damn.
Jess Hilarious
Okay, see where he said that?
DJ Envy
Damn. God. God.
Jess Hilarious
Well, today's Lovey birthday. Happy birthday, Lovey.
DJ Envy
Respectful. I have a little pushback against my brother family. Something y'all was talking about yesterday. As a single father, you realize there's zero resources for a single father. My truck transition been down for months. I didn't. I've never called in and put in my cash app, like, yo, can y'all help me? No, I jumped on the transit. Do what I do. I still gotta get the kids to work, make breakfast, get their lunch ready. I never. I never quoted, but there's never no love for a single four of us. So I really want to put a little love out there for a single four.
Jess Hilarious
Well, salute.
DJ Envy
But if you want to help me with our cash, my cash app is L O v e y XXL. Man, please. You got a 13 and a half inch penis, you better go out there and do some porn or something. You better go use that.
Pretty Vee
Make some money.
DJ Envy
Use what God gave you. Exactly.
Jess Hilarious
Now, lovey, did you have your threesome for your birthday, bro?
DJ Envy
Yes, I did. Oh, let me. Let me put you on the game, though. Ladies get so into ladies. You almost gotta. At the end, you. You almost gotta be like, yo, y'all remember I'm here, right? So at the end, after they're satisfied, they just lay there together and like. You know what I'm saying? Jazz, it's like they marinate in it.
Pretty Vee
Yeah.
DJ Envy
So I love to please my queens. That's all I'm gonna say. Yeah, I'm definitely on a bigger note. I'm not giving no money to someone with a 13 and a half inch penis who's having threesomes. You living life. You living life. But your cash app out there. Oh, please. But. But on a bigger note, Charlemagne, I qu to shoot my shot at you. I know it's not Freaky Friday. Whoa. Yeah, know. Pause, pause.
Jess Hilarious
Tear that back up.
DJ Envy
Go ahead.
Pretty Vee
Saying.
DJ Envy
You know, I've been doing radio like you for 20 years, and I would love to bring my all love shows to black effect. I would love to just send you my. Reddy, you can tell Eddie to get my email or whatever. I would love to send you my resume because I would love to get on black effects. Yeah. Eddie will give you. He'll tell you the people to reach out to. To pitch something. You can. You can reach out. You can reach out to Dahlia Chanel. Yes, thank you. Love you. I'm on it. All right. Love you. Have a good birthday. Appreciate you, my guy. Yes, sir.
Jess Hilarious
Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, hit us up now. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club.
DJ Envy
This is your time to get it off your chest, whether you're mad or blessed, so you better have the same energy. We want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club. Hello?
Pretty Vee
Who's this?
DJ Envy
This is Calvina. Hey, Calvina.
Jess Hilarious
Get it off your chest.
DJ Envy
Hi, I'm Calvina. I'm living in Georgia, but I'm from New York. Shout out to Rosedale Queen. Hey. And I am a cna, working to get my nurses license. But I just want to say that if you ain't in the loving field, like, if you don't want to really take care of people, don't go into the nursing field. These nurses be so brutal. They don't really like to help the DNAs. It's just like, I just be feeling so bad for these residents because it's just like people don't care no more. I agree with that. With any public service, if you don't care, don't be a nurse, don't be a teacher, don't be a doctor, don't be a police officer. If you don't truly care about people and have no empathy, don't go in those fields. I agree with you. That's it. That's what I wanted to get off my chest. Shout out to New York. Shout out to Barga. Shout out to all the nurses and CNAs, local nurses that actually care. And hey, Charlemagne. I didn't even say hey to y'all. Hey, Charlamagne. Hey, Envy. Hey, Jeff. Everybody. Good morning.
Jess Hilarious
Well, you have a. You have a good day. You live by what, snake Road on 232nd around there by the park?
DJ Envy
No, I'm talking about Valdosta, Georgia.
Jess Hilarious
Okay.
DJ Envy
Where is.
Jess Hilarious
No, no, I thought you said Rosedale. But Rosedale's in.
DJ Envy
Yeah, I live up to 226.
Jess Hilarious
Oh, oh, oh. 226. Okay.
DJ Envy
All right.
Jess Hilarious
So you are from Queensland?
DJ Envy
Yeah, yeah, I'm from Queens.
Scott Galloway
For real.
DJ Envy
I've been down here In Georgia, what, 20 years?
Jess Hilarious
You forget about your home. I say snake Road and 232nd in the park. You don't know none of that no more, huh?
DJ Envy
Oh, Snake Road. Over there by the airport. Not too far from the airport.
Jess Hilarious
Now you know. Now you know.
DJ Envy
Will you have a good day? Yeah. You had to give me a reminder.
Jess Hilarious
All right, have a good one.
DJ Envy
You too. Bye. Bye. Hello?
Jess Hilarious
Who's this?
Scott Galloway
Hi.
DJ Envy
I just wanted to say happy birthday to my fellow Caribbean queen, Riri, and also happy birthday to my daughter, Jamie. It's her birthday also today.
Pretty Vee
And I would also like to say.
DJ Envy
Happy birthday to my niece, who made me an aunt Jessie. Happy birthday to all three queens. I love you guys and have a great day. And to the Breakfast Club.
Pretty Vee
You guys make my drive to work amazing and entertaining.
John Cameron Mitchell
Jess, you're doing amazing, girl.
Pretty Vee
Thank. Thank you, babe. I appreciate that.
Jess Hilarious
Get it off.
Scott Galloway
Thank you, guys.
Jess Hilarious
Thank you. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. We got Jess with the mess coming up. What are we talking about?
Pretty Vee
Yes, sir. Everybody was laid to rest yesterday, and some of the biggest names in the industry came past to give their respects. We gonna break it all down.
Jess Hilarious
All right, we'll get into that next. It's the Breakfast Club. Good Morning, the Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy. Jess. Hilarious. Charlemagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. And like you said, it is Thursday.
DJ Envy
Good morning.
Jess Hilarious
I am glad my daughters ain't got no D. This weekend. I get to relax.
Pretty Vee
That's what's up.
Jess Hilarious
You got cheerleader this weekend?
DJ Envy
No cheerleading competition this weekend. Praise God.
Jess Hilarious
But you working this weekend?
Pretty Vee
I work this weekend. I'll be in Tampa. I gotta go to LA tomorrow, though. I got some things going on in la, and then I go to Tampa Saturday.
DJ Envy
Where you at in Tampa Saturday?
Pretty Vee
My Hard Rock is on Sunday, but I'm going there a day early. But, yeah, Hard Rock Casino this Sunday.
Jess Hilarious
Okay.
Pretty Vee
At eight. So, yeah, go get your tickets.
Jess Hilarious
Get your tickets.
DJ Envy
Official dot com.
Jess Hilarious
That's right. Well, let's get to just with the message.
Charlamagne Tha God
The news is real.
Pretty Vee
Whether it's Jessica, Larry's Jessica, Robin Moore. Jess don't do no lines.
Jess Hilarious
Don't do no lines.
Pretty Vee
She don't spare nobody.
DJ Envy
Worldwide. Jess. Worldwide message on the Breakfast Club. She's a culture shooter. She was able to get y'all to.
Pretty Vee
See something and understand something that nobody could get you to see.
DJ Envy
It's time to set it off.
Pretty Vee
So not one dry eye in the building at Irv's funeral.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yeah, that according to reports, which makes sense because I think a lot of people, you know, from everyone I've talked to who knew Herb Gotti personally. If you got a story, you got a story.
Pretty Vee
Yeah, thank you.
DJ Envy
Look at.
John Cameron Mitchell
You know what to do with the mic if you got it. If you got a story, you got a story, right? So yesterday, Irv Gotti's funeral went down here in New York. It was. It happened at Greater Allen Ame Cathedral Church. It was a private ceremony, but there were videos that surfaced online in attendance. You had all of his murdering crew, crew, Ja Rule, Ashanti attended. I know some people were wondering if she was actually going to make it out.
Pretty Vee
Lloyd.
John Cameron Mitchell
Charlie Baltimore, Jay Z. Gayle King, Steve Stout, Hype Williams, Benny Boom, Angie Martinez, the Rough Riders crew. But of course, with Ja Rule being there, he stood up and he spoke to give his final words to Earth. Let's take a listen.
DJ Envy
I just want to say, Herb, I love you. Everyone in this room loves you. You touched everybody in your own way in this room. I know everybody has their moments of that with him. So we are here, celebration of your life because it will live on forever. I love you, my brother. See you when I get there.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yeah. And he was. He was obviously really emotional. He had on some glasses in the Beginning of his. The eulogy that he did, took the glasses off. Just wanted to make sure that he was given a proper respect. And he spoke to the family and talked about, you know, now Herb is at peace.
Jess Hilarious
But they were brothers. I mean, he got, you know, he got them signed and started from the very beginning. And they were very tight and through thick and thin. And they were real brothers. So definitely rest in peace and condolences.
John Cameron Mitchell
And I wanted to ask you, Envy. They also gave Irv, like, a little ride through the neighborhood. You know how, like, what they did with Nipsey, they gave her a ride through Queens one last time. And they took him past his neighborhood home, but they also took him past a park in Queens that they said was, like, really instrumental in his career.
Jess Hilarious
So he's from Hollis, but he got his start as DJ Irv. So Irv got his start djing the basketball tournaments, djing the park jams and the park things. He would just go up, set up. And back then there was no money. You just DJ because you just enjoy DJing. So that's how he got his start in meeting everybody locally in the streets, because that's the way everybody would congregate. They would go to the parks and ball out and meet girls and girls and meet dudes. And that's where you gotta start DJing.
DJ Envy
You know what I was thinking, too? You never know what people's relationships are behind the scenes. We don't really know these people. We just see interviews and we just see moments. So we assume things. But if you have issues with a person when they are alive, but you love them enough to go to their funeral when they pass, then maybe you don't have the issues you think you have with the person. So you should probably smooth that out while they alive.
John Cameron Mitchell
I agree.
DJ Envy
You know, I agree.
John Cameron Mitchell
And I think that when. When I mentioned that Ashanti was there and people were wondering if she was going to make it out, I remember when he first. When Irv Gotti first passed away, people were wondering if Ashanti would say anything publicly about it.
Scott Galloway
And she.
John Cameron Mitchell
She actually did take the time to say it. And she talked about how she couldn't believe that things ended like this. And she always wanted him to be at peace. So I think, to your point, Charlotte, like, when it gets to this point, it's like, what's really important here? And it was her showing up for him, because he did do a lot for her in her career as well.
Jess Hilarious
Got her signed to two, got her started as well.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yes.
Pretty Vee
Prayers to his family. I seen 50 Cent was picking on Meech again.
John Cameron Mitchell
Little Meech this time.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Pretty Vee
Yeah. Well, yeah.
John Cameron Mitchell
Little Meech this time. Yeah. So he. He posted and was talking about the fact that he found he. He had to put Little Meech in rehab at some point, allegedly. So he posted saying, I'm gonna read the actual quote. Give me a second. So he posted saying, I thought about. I thought about it. I think he was uncomfortable with me and Mimi's relationship. He's talking about Little Meech. He's talking about Big Meech being uncomfortable. I'm telling Mimi I don't want him doing drugs. He telling him. He. He's. I don't know what this means. Something about using X, the X pill. He said he's telling him to chill, stop spending your money. He's telling him how much money he blew. People don't know. I had to send me media rehab. Russell Hornsby peeped. He was high on set. He started throwing up at weapons test. And then Ian told him. Then someone told 50 that Little Meech had whippets in his truck. 50 said that. He said. I said water whippets. And he looks. And it's the stuff that being BB guns. So he's saying that at some point, little Meech was allegedly showing up to set high, and it was to the point when it came to substance abuse that he had to send him to rehab. So.
Pretty Vee
But the crazy thing is, though, like, I've been seeing Little Meech lately since him and 50 been going, you know, like. Well, 50 been. Because they haven't been going back and forth since 50 been picking on him. Right? And he had been looking high. But I thought. I. I just noticed. I just thought that because BMF was like, his everything, and that's the. That's gone now. You know, it's like a beef, you know, that he's. That he been throwing in that he ain't got nothing to do with. So that will push him to get high. I'm thinking that that's why he'd been looking high lately. But.
John Cameron Mitchell
I think the crazier part about this is that 50 is basically implying that his dad. It was influencing him to do this. Like, I think that that's the crazier part.
Pretty Vee
What, to do drugs.
DJ Envy
He.
John Cameron Mitchell
He literally is. He's. He's basically saying, like, because he. His dad flaunted his drug use, at one point, he was encouraging the BS that the son was doing, and he's saying that Big Meech didn't like the fact that he jumped in the middle of it to try and like help the son. I thought that that was crazy because I'm like, that's his son.
DJ Envy

Charlamagne Tha God
You have you ever looked into the night sky and wondered who or what was flying around up there? We've seen planes, helicopters, hot air balloons, and birds. But what if there's something else, something much more ominous that appears under the COVID of night? Silent, unseen, watching. They may be right above your car late one night as you cruise down the road, or look like mysterious lights hovering above your home drone. Or are they?
DJ Envy
We used the word drone because it was comfortable to other people. One minute was there and one minute it wasn't. Oh, that is beyond creepy.
Charlamagne Tha God
Do you feel like this drone was targeting you?
DJ Envy
Specifically? Yes, absolutely.
Charlamagne Tha God
Listen to Obscurum Invasion of the Drones on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Do you remember what you said the first night I came over here? Ow. Go slower. I met Santi at a luau party in October.
DJ Envy
I'm Santi Damian.
Jess Hilarious
Oh, it was bizarre.
Charlamagne Tha God
The guy just disappeared one day. Santi has been missing ever since the hookup. What is that? I'm solving a mystery through sex and haven't made a private dick joke until now. Like no matter how hard I try, all roads lead to the hookup. You think it's causing people to turn aggro?
DJ Envy
I'm gonna rip your arms off and use them to.
Charlamagne Tha God
Yeah, that's a word for it. This is such terrible representation. I'm so sorry. Poppers.
DJ Envy
These aren't just any poppers.
Charlamagne Tha God
Mama always used to say God gave me gumption in place of a gag reflex. No, my psychiatrist didn't laugh at that one either. Listen to the hookup on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows. Hi, I'm Arturo Castro, and I've been lucky enough to do stuff like Broad City and Narcos and Roadhouse and so many commercials about back pain. It's giving funny true crime. I love storytelling and I love you.

John Cameron Mitchell
You know what I mean? But I. I don't know. People are like, well, what is 50 stake in this? But he's saying, yo, I. I helped this family make over $5 million.
DJ Envy
Like, I just want y'all to know, going from Irv Gotti's funeral to any story about 50 Cent is absolute insanity.
Jess Hilarious
That is crazy.
DJ Envy
I can see Irv balking from the cave right now.
John Cameron Mitchell
Why didn't you stop me in the beginning?
DJ Envy
We could have kept paying respect to Irvine.
John Cameron Mitchell
Sorry, Irv. I didn't even think about this.
Pretty Vee
Doing our job.
John Cameron Mitchell
Look at each other like, y'all didn't even say nothing. Sorry, that was not purposely done. I was trying to wait for a photo for my second story, and it had come in.
DJ Envy
You know, people gonna think you being messy.
John Cameron Mitchell
No, I'm not being messy. I was waiting. Exactly. And that it's all your fault.
DJ Envy
Don't blame nothing on me. Crooked Wig Productions. They ain't got nothing. Okay?
John Cameron Mitchell
Panda Face Productions. Panda Face Poodle. Don't play with me.
Jess Hilarious
But to close out what you were saying, that's the reason why people are saying 50 is that upset because he's allegedly put that young man in rehab. I'm just closing it out because it was all over the place that he put that young man in rehab. They gave that family millions and millions of dollars, and he was upset with what they did and how they came out.
John Cameron Mitchell
So that's the reason why we were not being petty.
Jess Hilarious
And that is just with the mess.
John Cameron Mitchell
It was a run a show thing.
Pretty Vee
Thank you.
John Cameron Mitchell
Hand to face.
DJ Envy
Don't get mad at me.
Jess Hilarious
All right, all right, all right.
Pretty Vee
I didn't do it.
Jess Hilarious
When we come back, we got front page news. And then Pretty Vee will be joining us. She has a new book, The Pretty Victory 100 Day Guide to Recenter yourself and find your purpose is the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
DJ Envy
You're checking out the Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody.
Jess Hilarious
It's DJ Envy. Jess. Hilarious. Charlemagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get back to some front page news. What's up, Morgan?
Charlamagne Tha God
What's up?
Morgan
Is the first friend MV Elon Musk. Yeah. So he says he will ask President Trump about a proposed Doge dividend. That's Department of Government Efficiency. He made the comment in a post on X, his social media platform, saying he was responding to an investment firm CEO who pitched the idea of a tax refund check for five grand to be sent to every taxpayer funded by savings from the Department of Government Efficiency after its expiration in 2026. Now, Musk added on X, obviously the President is the commander in chief, so this is entirely up to him. So basically, what he's saying is all these cuts, these savings that Doge is going to implement, maybe it'll come back to the pockets of the people in the form of a tax refund check of five grand. What do you guys think about that?
DJ Envy
I think this is why this administration is better strategically at politics than Democrats. Because, you know, you look at it Monday, there was protests in the streets about what Trump and Elon Musk are currently doing to the federal government. We know 12,000 federal workers have been fired indiscriminately. People are seeing the incompetence of what he's doing because he's firing people that we actually need to keep our country safe and thriving. So, you know, when those protests started Monday to calm any civil unrest, he comes out and says, I'm going to give you this $5,000 tax credit because I'm finding out the government is wasting your taxpayer dollars on nonsense. So I want to take this money and give it back to you. Nobody's going to question anything they do in regards to Doge if he does.
Jess Hilarious
That sounds amazing to me. And for taxpayers out there that owe money and you get a $5,000 tax credit, people gonna love it.
Morgan
Yeah, I was gonna say definitely sounds like stimmy 2.0, so. All right, guys, switching gears to aviation news Delta Airlines is offering passengers on Monday's Toronto bound flight that crash landed $30,000 each. A Delta spokesperson says that offer comes no strings attached and does not affect rights. 21 people were injured in the incident at Toronto Pearson Airport. The regional Delta Airlines flight from Minneapolis was carrying 80 people on board. 30,000. Is that a good settlement? What do you guys think? I mean, no strings.
Jess Hilarious
That means no strings. I mean, I could sue regardless, right? So I get that 30,000 and then I can sue. So I ain't got to sign off.
DJ Envy
No, they're not going to just get them that 30,000 and let them not be able to sue later. They're going to give them that 30,000 and make them sign something so they don't sue.
Morgan
It says no strings. Delta spokesperson says no strings attached.
Jess Hilarious
I would tell everybody to get an attorney to just to double check. Like Charlamagne said, you don't want to get that 30,000 and you can't sue. But if it's $30,000 for my inconvenience and scaring the ish out of me and then I can still sue, yeah, I would.
DJ Envy
Yeah, there's no, there's no way they giving these people $30,000 and not gonna make them sign something so they can't come back and sue later. There's no, it's, there's no way. Yo.
Morgan
We'll continue to watch that situation. Bringing things home to you guys in New York. A judge, a New York City judge in New York City says Mayor Eric Adams federal corruption case isn't yet make. He's not going to make a decision on the case or whether to drop the charges as of yet against the New York City mayor. Judge Dale Ho ordered Adams and the Department of Justice officials to appear at a hearing in lower Manhattan to discuss the reasoning behind the DOJ's order to dismiss the case. For now, taking the stand, Adams says he was innocent. The mayor has been facing calls for an ouster over allegations of quid pro quo for his cooperation with the Trump administration's crackdown on immigration in exchange for tossing the charges. Now, the order triggered the resignations of four deputy mayors and several federal prosecutors. There's no word on when a decision in the matter could be made. Ho says he'll take everything that was said in the hearing under careful consideration. And I will keep you guys posted as to what decision is made by Judge Ho regarding Mayor Eric Adams. But meanwhile, Governor Kathy Hochul, well, she is speaking out about President Trump right now. So the White House made an illustration. They posted an Illustration of Trump wearing a crown. The caption of the post quotes, congestion pricing is dead, Manhattan, and all New York is saved. Long live the king. Now, that was taken from a post on Truth Social by Trump. The illustration is reminiscent of Times magazine cover, and it shows a grinning Trump in front of New York City saying the words Long live the King. In the lower left hand corner. Now, Governor Kathy Hochul. She's defiant over the Trump administration pulling the plug on New York City congestion pricing program and has announced that the state is suing. At a hastily called news conference on Wednesday afternoon. The governor was especially worked up over that tweet following his actions, Trump's actions. Let's hear more from Governor Kathy Hochul.
Scott Galloway
Long live the king.
DJ Envy
New York hasn't labored under a king in over 250 years.
Pretty Vee
And we are not. We sure as hell are not going to start now.
DJ Envy
I don't care if you love congestion pricing or hate it.
Pretty Vee
This is an attack on our sovereign.
DJ Envy
Identity, our independence from Washington. We don't care.
Jess Hilarious
Nah, we don't. And I actually want them to pull congestion pricing. I'm kind of with him with this one.
DJ Envy
Yeah, congestion pricing is killing New Yorkers. You know what I'm saying? And she's trying to deflect from the fact that people don't want the $9 congestion pricing. Like, that's not gonna work. Yes. Two things can be true at one time. We don't want a king, but we also want to. Don't want to pay the $9 congestion price. And this ain't a big joke. A little joke either.
Jess Hilarious
No, no, we don't. We don't want that at all. And, and people have been saying it, and people have been saying how it's been hurting them. And, you know, it's, it might be easier for Governor Hocu because she doesn't actually live in the city. Like, there's no way around it.
DJ Envy
No, it's just crazy for her to try to use that. Like, it's the big Joker. Like, I got the big Joker. Okay? Like, no, we don't want Donald Trump to be a king, but we're Talking about these $9 congestion pricing right now, man. So that guy over there saying, hey, hey, no, $9 congestion pricing is not a thing. That's what we want.
Jess Hilarious
I did read something where they said, you know, they can keep congestion pricing, but the price is too high. Charge $2.50. That $9 is. You're really stretching New Yorkers. You're really stretching anybody that comes to the city. Tourists Anybody from coming out of town, people that just want to see a Broadway play or go to a nice restaurant, you're stretching them. So they're saying instead of charging $9, maybe charge 250.
DJ Envy
And I don't even know where it's at. So being that I don't know where it's at, like, you know I'm driving a different car right now. Exactly. I'm driving a different car right now. So my pass is in my goddamn glove compartment. So when I go into the toes, I got to go reaching there to pull my easy pass out. But you don't know. I don't even know where the hell we at in New York with the congestion pricing.
Morgan
Seems like more people. To your point, you guys are there more people are not in favor of this congestion pricing. And to your point, Envy, maybe it just needs to be lowered. So we'll keep you guys posted. So that's your front page news. I'm Morgan Wood. Follow me on social at Morgan Media. For more news coverage, follow at Black Information Network, Download the free iHeartRadio app and visit us at virtual. Thank you.
Jess Hilarious
Thank you, Morgan. All right, when we come back, Pretty V will be joining us. She has a new book, the pretty Victory. It's a hundred day guide to recenter yourself and find your purpose. And we're going to talk to her next, so don't go anywhere. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlemagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. We got a special guest in the building.
DJ Envy
Who we got Pretty Vee.
Pretty Vee
My baby. What's up, V?
Scott Galloway
Hey, guys.
Jess Hilarious
New book, The Pretty Victory 100 Day Guide to Recenter yourself and find your purpose is out right now. How you feeling?
Scott Galloway
I feel so good. I feel blessed. Black and just, you know, obsessed with this book now. You know, I'm just excited for this journey. Like it came from a text message via social media posting. And now just having my own book, like, it's just, it's amazing feeling. For sure.
DJ Envy
It makes sense for you to have a devotional, a book full of affirmations because all you do is send us devotionals and affirmations every day. I know. Yes. So it makes sense.
Pretty Vee
Yeah. So it's completely on brand for you.
Scott Galloway
On brand.
Pretty Vee
Yeah. And you know what I love about it because we're just going to jump straight into it because my sis got other press. Hello. So you know what I love about it is you had said how to use this book. You said it took you 100 days to start thinking new and doing new things. What are some of the things that you felt like you had to work on in those hundred days? What were the hardest things that you had to overcome? Time.
Scott Galloway
Well, just not entertaining social media. That was one of it.
Pretty Vee
It was like a fast.
Scott Galloway
Yeah. I was, like, literally in my closet writing this. Like, I literally was like. I was given snippets on social media.
Pretty Vee
Yeah.
Scott Galloway
Like, I. I watched TD Jake. So when I seen TD Jake's sermon, he's like, stand on what? You know, and for me, I'm a mind person, you know, me, I'd be all in my head overthinking things.
Pretty Vee
Yeah. But it's.
Scott Galloway
It was more of like, okay, let's separate from what I know that I'm familiar with doing the skits on the table, entertaining, checking the social media, checking the DMs, engaging arrangements to, like, girl, you just have this book deal and you need to get to it. Like, so I was really in my closet. I had to separate, Just sacrifice the social media, take that away for a little bit and get locked in. In my closet and just start writing. And I was just throwing little snippets on social media to see how people was going to react. And it just became a book. And I just had to literally write, write, write each day. You know, shout out to Nikki, shout out to Frankie, like, just for helping me, because I still wanted to add, like, the comedic side and, you know, wanted to chat, you know, Charlemagne, like yourself, asking y'all for your quotes, like, we'll make sure guys victorious. Trying to put it all together, not just be your typical devotional. Because everyone is not religious and everyone does. Does understand, you know, spirituality. Yeah. So. And I believe in Jesus Christ. So, you know, I didn't want to dumb that down either. I needed to throw him in there. But it's for everyone. It's a unisec book. It's for the. It's for the women as well. And I just wanted to really, like, tap into the other side outside of being funny for sure. Because it's so much.
Pretty Vee
Why this for your first book, though? Because. Because Davana is a person that wears many hats. You. You are not just funny. You do so many other things. Why not? It is for the first book. Yeah. A memoir, like you said. Why? Why?
Scott Galloway
Yeah, And I just.
Pretty Vee
No, no, no. Not even. All right, well, not even a memoir, but, like, who you are. Like, your layers of who you are. Because a lot of people don't know you are Davana. Xl who you say who you are in the book. I ain't trying to spoil it. You do, but you do say in the book. Book. I'mma save who I am for the next book. Yeah. Okay. Why is that not the first one?
Scott Galloway
I just. For me, I just feel like I just have so much work to do. Like, that's not even there yet. Like, I just need to, like, do some so much more. I'm just not there yet. And I feel like, let's put something out where the people could appreciate, you know? And I was like, this devotion. Someone told me I had an interview. They were like, okay, well, we just be like, the funny bee. Like, this is just. The book is so serious. I was like, girl, you haven't even got the book. But not even I.
Pretty Vee
Right.
Scott Galloway
Like, you know, like, I want to. To give you guys a part of me. And if this is what I have to do, I'm gonna be still. I remember when I had. We had covet, and I reached out to Charlotte when I was like, oh, I'm overthinking. We ain't got to work that Charlotte said to be still. I hate it when Charlotte told me that. I was like, be still. I hate the word still because I get to think. I get to be in my head. But that's one of the things that's. To answer your question. In the beginning, like, I had to be still. And I hated it because I was like, this has to be written, and the only person that's gonna write it is me. Me and whoever else we hire to help me put it all together. So, I mean, I just wanted to put a devotional out because I'm like, it's just necessary. Like you said, it's on brand. And I just want people to hear my story. Everything that I've been through, you know, delay is never denial. I talk, you know, I talk about Hollywood in here, just don't change, you know, and just keep going. And, you know, don't be afraid to walk alone. The relationships I have, friendships and people I've, you know, dated. Like, how you just don't have to walk alone in your pain. You need. God will send help. Peoples and angels. I talked about in the beginning when I was so hungry in college. I had no money. I had no food in Miss Ding. Shout out to, you know, St. Augustine University. Hello, North Carolina. He helped me, gave me $50 and laid on his heart. God said, you didn't eat, and here's. Here's money. I just talk about all the. The propheticness that's in here that brought me to this day. So I just hope. I know it's going to help us soul. You feel me? The mission is, I don't look at the numbers. I look at, like, who am I touching in this season? And if that's what it is, we going to rock out.
Jess Hilarious
I wanted to ask you. Now, your mother's a pastor, correct?
John Cameron Mitchell
Yes, she is.
Jess Hilarious
A lot of this into you. So to talk about growing up with your mother being. And you still doing the funny skits and the outlandish skits, but you still are so close to your faith.
Scott Galloway
Yeah, my mom, like, again, her mission is to do what she has to do in ministry, but it's the thing we're doing ministry. Okay. We're healing. Like, laughter is healing, you know, outside of what we do is a gift. You know, what Jess does on stage, I can't do what she do. That's up there. 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 45. I'm over here. Like, can we do some magic tricks?
Pretty Vee
But that's what you do.
Scott Galloway
Yo, I want to do some magic tricks.
Jess Hilarious
Y'all.
Scott Galloway
Y'all want to see it?
Pretty Vee
Like, that's me, you know, Like.
John Cameron Mitchell
Like, can we do something?
Pretty Vee
Come on, now.
Scott Galloway
Like, let me put the pink roll back on. Like, that's just. Like, I. I commend them for being in their purpose and walking in their purpose and being the legend that she is. Me, on the other hand, I'm like, I'm gonna jump on some tables. I'm gonna be some. Be a personality. These characters that I have. And there's no judging, like, just walking your gift. And when God steals you some other way, go do that, too. But right now, in this season, I'm. I'm just doing both. I'm bal. I mean, people may take it serious, may not, you know, and some people, you know, may not take it serious. Like, okay, should we trust in this character that has been doing this stuff for years now? She's writing a book. I don't believe it. So that's why it's in everybody face. I'm posting every day about it. I ain't on the table right now. I'm gonna just let y'all see what's going on because respect this avenue. You know, I've. We. We're doing a lot, but respect this calling until I decide to say, all right, we. It's been five months now. Let me get back to what I'm doing and still carry with it, because it's my brand, you know? But My mom, she loves me. She doesn't judge. She's like, if this is what you're doing, just don't do nothing that's gonna take you away from God. That's it. That's all. She not that type of mother for sure.
DJ Envy
And you sold out your first show last year. When you did, you was in Atlanta at the. Where was you at? What was the name of the building?
Scott Galloway
Center Stage.
DJ Envy
Center Stage.
Scott Galloway
Yeah, we was there.
DJ Envy
You sold that out, period.
Pretty Vee
She ain't never say she don't sell out.
DJ Envy
Sharon about y'all.
Scott Galloway
Yes, and we gonna. And that's the thing. We put her on the road too. Like, you know, we, we added more characters. I was actually put her on the road.
Jess Hilarious
Like, it's not her.
DJ Envy
Like, put her on the road.
Pretty Vee
That's how she got.
Scott Galloway
We going to put Sharon on the road, you know, this year. So I'm excited about that. I was just trying to just make. Get this book going. But Sharon deserves a stage. Like more people to see her New York for sure. This is the. The pit of ban Jamaican people. So I want to bring her out here. But yeah, I wasn't afraid. My mom came up, she seen me whining, she seen me talk about people, she seen me up there carrying on. So yeah, we just want to walk into that.
DJ Envy
You know, it's interesting about that. You talked about Jess and her gift of being able to do stand up. Like, you know, stage plays have been around forever. You know what I mean? There's people that have made multi millions of dollars off stage plays. Of course, we know the Tyler Perry's, the David Talbert. I think. Yes, David Talbert, I think. Yeah, but, but, but that's a lane that a lot of people, especially your generation aren't in. You could easily be producing stage.
Scott Galloway
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And everyone tells me that. They're like, I just got a text. I think it shout out to Tory Lanez. I know you.
DJ Envy
You feel me?
Scott Galloway
Shout out free.
Pretty Vee
Yeah.
Scott Galloway
Like literally, he. He DM me the other day and was just like, yo, you could be producing plays. Like, you're gonna be like, how, you.
Pretty Vee
Know, you know, like, yo, you feel me?
DJ Envy
Like, Megan, thee stallion just unfollowed you too, man.
Scott Galloway
Well, she wasn't following me from the gym. Yeah, she wasn't following me from the jump. She wasn't following me. But I love Meg and you know I love Meg, but I'm just telling you what he told me, you know, shout out to him like, hey, like, I think you should do that and of course, Charlotte told me, too. I brought the idea to him, like, yo, I want to do this. I want to do these plays. You know, I want to get my characters involved. But my thing is, is, like, I. I sent him out the devotion. I said, look, thank you so much for that advice, but we gonna. We act on it. We're gonna act on it, but I just. I just want to make sure everything is right. And someone told me, just do it. I think I'd just be scared of people, just like, are y'all gonna show? Like, y'all gonna come out and support me? That's how I was at Chevron. I was like, y'all gonna buy a ticket? Like, you know what it is? And I was so nervous that day.
DJ Envy
But, you know, faith and fair can't coexist now.
Scott Galloway
I know. I know. So that's why I just. I. I went at it and just did it.
Jess Hilarious
All right, we got more with Pretty V when we come back. Don't move. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlamagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with Pretty V.
Pretty Vee
Jess, now, with all the long list of everything that you've been doing, you also received your honorary doctorate degree for humanitarianism. I say that word right. Humanitarianism.
Jess Hilarious
Last year, they was on your ass.
Pretty Vee
I know.
Scott Galloway
Jess said it should be a certificate, y'all. Jess, a certificate.
Pretty Vee
I knew you was coming.
John Cameron Mitchell
I knew it.
Pretty Vee
I knew it.
Scott Galloway
A certificate. Sissy.
Pretty Vee
Now did that. Now, I know you are proud of that. I'm extremely proud of you because you went to college in real life anyway. You got real life. You know what I mean? But not taking anything away from your honorary doctor degree. But did that moment when people were coming for you or, you know, the backlash that you received from it, did that take away from, like, the enjoyment? Did that take away from, you know, the fact that it was a victory for you? That was still a victory.
Scott Galloway
Yeah.
Pretty Vee
That you received.
Scott Galloway
It did, but it didn't.
Pretty Vee
Okay, right.
Scott Galloway
Because like I said, I wasn't the only one who received it. My mother received it that day. My brother received it that day. And I feel like there was. There's a process. It wasn't like, yo, what up? Can we honor you? You gonna get your doctors? No, I had to, like, fill a whole moment out. I had to get in this class and. And do tests, put work. I had to just do the whole thing before I got it. So I think it was that. That moment dragged out for the longest. I was like, why are we still talking about the doctors? I ain't never told y'all I was getting a white coat. Like, I need to tell y'all I was in school. I didn't say, charlotte, come to the graduation and just be here at 5 and Envy. Bring your wife and kids. Like, I didn't say that.
Jess Hilarious
I said, I don't think you got that many tickets.
Pretty Vee
I got six kids.
Scott Galloway
I never said I was gonna a white coat. I got something that's community, respect, and honored, and I was feeling great about it. Like, all these great people got it. Usher, Missy, Michael Jackson. I guess because I'm not in that caliber, it doesn't matter. And she's on the girl and she's doing the skits, and, like, we're not taking it serious. Like, oh, they're just giving out this title to everybody. Whatever. I was like, whatever.
Pretty Vee
I got it.
Scott Galloway
They. They seen me. They acknowledged me. They gave my flowers. They shouldn't change the name.
John Cameron Mitchell
I.
Scott Galloway
It shouldn't be a certificate, Jess. But at the end of the day, it is what it is. You know, I got it, and I stood on it. And I know my friends were happy.
Pretty Vee
Absolutely. I definitely was happy.
Scott Galloway
I was just like, let's get it. Let's go. You know? So it's just for the next person, you know, like, they may call you and say, jess, we want you to be in honorary Delta. I'm like, I'm all for. I love that for you. A doctor.
DJ Envy
Not with all that pink and green on it.
Scott Galloway
Excuse me. And she might be ak you know, you never know.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Scott Galloway
AKA May call her. And we like Jazz. Do you not know? I did a whole video for you when you got this position for Breakfast Club. The whole video was represented around Jess. Hilarious. Because this is awesome where you're sitting.
Pretty Vee
Thank you.
Scott Galloway
Like this. It was no other person. I hit shawl. I said, oh, you. That's Jesse. Like, she deserves that seat. So even when you went missing for the baby, I'm like, okay, we're Jess at. You know. But again, things had to come in and fill in for you. But this is your seat. So as a person, as a pretty V, A B, Simone, A Jessal, as a Drew Ski A Marco. These are accolades that we're like, whoa. We're getting like. And I'm just happy that I got it, and I'm happy that it's on my house. Stand it up.
Pretty Vee
And I'm like, I'm happy for you.
Scott Galloway
I'm excited.
DJ Envy
I got one From South Carolina State. Just getting one from Baltimore City Community College, first of all.
Pretty Vee
Oh, my God. What? No, I'm not getting anything from Baltimore City Community College. No, they didn't send nothing here. They don't even have Twitter. It's a community college. Don't do them like that. They don't got no damn Twitter.
DJ Envy
Said they want to give you honorary doctorate. You didn't hear that?
Scott Galloway
And if Jess get that from the community college, we lit like, you know.
Jess Hilarious
He had to look that up. He had to look that up, you know?
DJ Envy
Right.
Pretty Vee
You're such a clown, ccc.
DJ Envy
See, I told you.
Jess Hilarious
Look at it.
Pretty Vee
Anyway, you talked about. You said earlier that, you know, you talk about people you've dated in the book and stuff, too.
Scott Galloway
Yeah, I ain't say no names.
Pretty Vee
Oh, you ain't say ain't no names in the book?
Scott Galloway
Ain't no names in the book.
Pretty Vee
Ain't no names in the book.
Scott Galloway
I actually called to make sure I could throw a little sliver in there.
Pretty Vee
But other than that, where's the love life now, since you're doing all this work on yourself and you had 100 days to change and to thank Nuuly.
Scott Galloway
Yeah.
Pretty Vee
Where's the dating status?
Scott Galloway
Single and not ready to mingle. We is focused. We is getting to it. I mean, we have. I'm on a mission right now to just focus on a pretty victory, focus on all the great things. Whatever I put down, I'm picking back up in the season. I feel like. Like I'm just growing spiritually. More like I'm asking God to cover my heart, Be open to new collection connections, but cover my heart, cover my borderlines.
Pretty Vee
Yeah.
Scott Galloway
Of my ear gates. Like, I'm just really intrigued, just having fun. Like the skits, the comedic side. And I'm running what Charlotte told me. He's like, yo, you're all purpose entertainer. I'm running with that, doing everything I could possibly do. Whatever I put down on picking back up. So right now, I'm single, You know, I hear whoever, like, you feel me? Like, like Miami Dolphins, Eagles, what they do.
Pretty Vee
Like, whoever they feeling blessed, you know.
Scott Galloway
Dentists, entrepreneurs, where y'all at? Bus driver, whatever out here, you feel me? But we, you know, we working single. I'm just vibing out.
DJ Envy
I want to ask both of y'all something. You and Jess, right? Because in day 19, you talk about following God's instruction instructions, right? So I want to ask you, how do you know what instructions are God's instructions and what's not? And I wonder about that in regards to relationships, like, does God say, you know what, that's who you should be dating or that's who you should be dealing with?
John Cameron Mitchell
Absolutely.
Pretty Vee
I. I feel like God sent me a man after his own heart. You know, me and Chris, we pray together. That's my partner. This is the first time I've been in a relationship where I actually feel like we're doing the spiritual, growing together, you know what I mean? Like, and other relationships, they. I'm not saying that I was dating atheists, you know, but. But I would initiate the praying. I would initiate. Yo, let's read together. Let's, you know, when, you know, you sent me two of these, right? He took one and he's like, yo, I didn't know she was doing the daily devotional. I said, yeah, well, she sends me. He said, I know she was turning into a book. And, you know, he started reading it. Like, he's very, very spiritual. He's a Christian Godfaring man. And yeah, I do feel like God has spoken to me and told me, this is the last person that you gonna be with. This is the last and final relationship. And this is the one. This is what I was preparing you for. I do, I do believe that wholeheartedly.
Scott Galloway
Yes, I believe that for you.
DJ Envy
So what about you, V? Has God told. Is this God told you? Look, I don't want you dealing with nobody right now.
Scott Galloway
See, God is not the author of confusion. So whenever it gets a little rocky for me, I know that's not him. I've been in spaces where it's been confused, confusion, manipulative. I talk about that. Conniving, just controlling. And that is not of God. Now, God will put you in a situations for you to learn. It's a lesson. Like warning does come for destruction. Understand what that that means? Like it comes for destruction. So I think in this season, God is saying, be still and be patient because you have tapped into different relationships. Whether it weren't wasn't good for you. You have tapped into different friendships that held you back. So I think in this season, he is telling me to be still and wait on him. Seek he first the kingdom of God. I keep hearing that every time somebody called me, they like, oh, you were in my spirit. And this dropped in it. Matthew, you need to read it. So I'm like, okay, what am I doing that is moving too quick and not bringing God along long. So, and. And waiting on his answer. So that's why I said in the beginning, I'm just waiting on that soft whisper to move. So in this space that I'm in, I'm like, if it ain't of him, and if I ain't. If we ain't doing what we need to do, I don't want you. I don't care how much money you got. I don't care if you got the G unit chain on. I don't care if the. The Jabot is to the ground. I don't care if the Timbs is flapping the. I don't want it.
Pretty Vee
Yeah.
DJ Envy
All right.
Jess Hilarious
We got more with Pretty V when we come back. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's Envy. Just hilarious. Charlamagne. Tha God. We are the Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with Pretty Vee. So question. What's the most important chapter in this book to you?
Scott Galloway
The most?
Jess Hilarious
If you wanted one person to say. I wanted you to read this one chapter because I think this chapter is whatever.
Scott Galloway
Yeah. I love you.
DJ Envy
I love you.
Pretty Vee
And why?
Scott Galloway
Because we don't hear that enough.
Pretty Vee
Yeah.
Scott Galloway
The household I grew up in, my mother said it, but my dad was very slim to none, you know, Caribbean man. Very hard, hard. Very, like, straightforward. You don't hear as much. And then when you do, it's like I have to say it. All right, dad, did you hear me? I said I love you. I love you, too. My father showed he loved us for sure.
Pretty Vee
Yeah.
Scott Galloway
But it wasn't like, I want you. I want you to tell me that, because the. The trips and the gifts and the Christmas stuff, and it's back to school clothes.
John Cameron Mitchell
That's cool.
Scott Galloway
But I need to tell you who I fell in love with, and they broke my heart, you know? I need you to understand, like, that I'm hurting right now, and I don't need to call. Call my mentors in the industry to ask for advice. I want to call you first. So I, I, I. I love you is my. My favorite day of the book. I don't know what day that is, but that. That's one of the important. Because we don't hear it. I. I didn't hear it.
Jess Hilarious
How has that changed you as a person? Do you say I love you to everybody now because you missed that? You didn't get that like, you wanted?
Scott Galloway
I do say I love you to a lot of people, but I also, I think my heart is warm to people. It's, like, more open because my father was very close. Closed.
Jess Hilarious
Gotcha.
Scott Galloway
Yeah. Like, again, it was just all about making sure you're dependent. You're this. You become a lawyer, you become a realist. He didn't care about the comedy. He was just like, that ain't gonna like, whatever. Until I showed him that I could turn funny into money. Until I showed him that I could do these things about my first home and, and help the family, you know, as much as I can. But I love you was not. He didn't say that as much, you know.
Pretty Vee
Where's your relationship with your dad now?
Scott Galloway
We're good. We locked in like, that's my daddy. Like, you know, but like being a Caribbean, everything's hard. Like it's just like, all right, books. Make sure you're in there.
DJ Envy

Charlamagne Tha God
Have you ever looked into the night sky and wondered who or what was flying around up there? We've seen planes, helicopters, hot air balloons and birds. But what if there's something else, something much more ominous that appears under the COVID of night, Silent, unseen, watching. They may be right above your car late one night as you cruise down the road. Or look like mysterious lights hovering above your home. Drones. Or are they?
DJ Envy
We used the word drone because it was comfortable to other people. One minute was there and one minute it wasn't. Oh, that is beyond creepy.
Charlamagne Tha God
Do you feel like this drone was targeting you specifically?
DJ Envy
Yes, absolutely.
Charlamagne Tha God
Listen to Obscurum Invasion of the Drones on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Do you remember what you said the first night I came over here? Ow goes lower. I met Santi at a luau party in October.
DJ Envy
I'm Santi Damian.
Jess Hilarious
Oh, it was bizarre.
Charlamagne Tha God
The guy just disappeared. Appeared one day. Santi has been missing ever since the hookup. What is that? I'm solving a mystery through sex and haven't made a private dick joke until now. Like, no matter how hard I try, all roads lead to the hookup.
And I'm starting a podcast because, honestly, guys, I don't feel the space is crowded enough. Get ready for Greatest Escapes, a new comedy podcast about the wildest true escape stories in history. Each week, I'll be sitting down with some of the most hilarious actors and writers and comedians to tell them a buck wild tale from across history and time. People like Ed Helms, Diane Guerrero, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Zoe Chao. Titanic, Charles Manson, Alcatraz, Sara Shakur, the.
DJ Envy
Sketchy guy named Steve. Steve.
Charlamagne Tha God
It's giving funny true crime. I love storytelling and I love you, so I can't wait. Listen and subscribe to Greatest escapes on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Scott Galloway
And make sure you become who you're supposed to be. Don't do this, don't do that. But like, me, my desk, like, my best friend.
Pretty Vee
Have you had those talks with him?
Scott Galloway
We had a moment one day in Miami, and we was back and forth, and, like, I was like, in his space, and, like, you need to respect da da, da, da. So he texts me and my dad. My dad don't even know. I don't even know how you know how to text. I was like, isn't my little brother doing this for you? Or this is from your heart? And he was like, we just have to work on communication. That's the first time he understood my side, and I understood his side, you know? So, yeah.
DJ Envy
How did you pick who you wanted to do your to help with the devotionals?
Scott Galloway
The impact that you guys put on my life. I mean, before, like, I knew what rap was. Sharla was like, yo, this show will Be great. You know, the advice that I've gotten over the years from him, like, keep going. You know, I've text Charlotte, like, love you. Keep going. Ah, ah, YouTube, keep, keep striving. It's just the impact just I watched her growth. I'm inspired by her walk again. Like I said, I can't do what she does. I think it's inspiring to me, Issa, you know, taking a chance on me to be a part of her show and still speaking to me after the fact, like checking up on me and, you know, she was going to be one of my moderators, you know, for the booktube. But her skill schedulings for people, that's what I'm saying. People who to come out, they wait to do things. Like, this is a pinch me moment for me, you know, I don't take this for granted. Like, everything to me is like pure and genuine. I love it. And Shaq for giving me the best advice. Every time I will respond in the blogs, Shaq would hit me like literally two minutes after. You know, I had to call you, like, yo, tell shot. Don't block me.
Pretty Vee
I know.
Scott Galloway
So I think for me it's more of like him giving me the best advice.
Pretty Vee
Don't respond.
Scott Galloway
You're a queen. You don't come off your throne for them people. And I didn't understand because I want, want to explain so much. And he's like, no, we're not doing that. And Duvall, like, that's just. My dog, Kiara Shear helped me when I was in, you know, in my head during COVID She gave me her aunt's counselor, you know, therapist, so I could talk to her. So shout out to Kiara, share. Like, I was really in a bad Place in 2020 and she was just like, you know, look at the Bible. Everybody in there had committed suicide. Overthinking. You had this in the Bible, like, this. You're not the only one walking through this space. V, like, keep your head up and I'm give you my auntie's counselor so you could talk to them. Because I was afraid of it. Like, I was like, I'm a church girl. Like, all you gotta do is pray and you'll be all right. But no, you actually need somebody.
Jess Hilarious
What put you in that space in 2020?
Scott Galloway
Just the. The COVID you know, And I had covet and covet hit me mentally. It didn't hit me physically. I was just in my head a lot. The brain fog, overthinking stuff, like just doing the most. And I kept calling Mom I think I need to go talk to somebody. And she was like, it's Covid. Like, it was bad. 2020was bad. Everyone was passing away at that. At that time, and I just didn't know how. I didn't know how to center myself. And I think in that season, like, getting your word, like, God's pulling on you with some things. He wants to talk to you spiritually. And that's when I reach out to Kiki, and she was just like, you know, I'm gonna tell you right now to keep going, but, you know, this is gonna happen. But get in your word. And I'm gonna give you my. My aunties, you know, counsel so you can talk to her. So everyone plays a part in my life, even the Victoria Tisha Campbell. Like, just everybody in here. So be Simone. Like, everybody. Everyone's in this book.
DJ Envy
Let's end on this. You say, if you're starving, you'll eat anything.
Scott Galloway
Oh, Lord, if you're starving, you will eat anything. It's just. It's just plain and simple, you know, Again, you gotta wait and be patient. Like. Like I just said, if the opportunity come for me to do something that's off brand and I want it, and I feel like I'm not doing anything at the moment, and I feel like I need the money or if I feel like I. I want to be at a place just to show the people I'm working, working, I'll do anything. Down the line, it starts tinting things and tinting the brand and making you look crazy when you should just wait, be patient in this season and just wait. That's the thing. Like, opportunities have come to me to do certain things, and I've said, no, no, no. But if. And I know I needed the money. I know I needed to do certain things. I know I wanted to put it towards a Cheiron show or just my craft. But if I would have said yes, I'm just doing anything just to do it. I'm not waiting on the process. That's why it's just. I just said, and I think day two, there's a process before the promise. And the thing about it is we'll just go through. Try to go straight through that promise. And it ain't doing nothing. It's just. You just did it just cause to seem to show your fans and your followers that you moving and you working. I'm out here with. But they got you doing all these roles. I remember a producer hit me a day and said, yo, I want you to be a stud and be like a lesbian stud in one of my movies. And I was like, you straight? Like, I don't want to do that. I'm bigger than that. Like, you know, like, no shade. Like, I don't want to put. Like. You know what I mean? Like, y'all straight.
Pretty Vee
Like, I'm good.
Scott Galloway
Like, I don't want to do that.
Pretty Vee
Did you tell him I would do that?
DJ Envy
Why you a call? Why you ain't call? Crazy. Why you a call? Your.
Scott Galloway
You want to do this roll for me?
Pretty Vee
What's up, yo? Want to be a stud?
DJ Envy
Just with a kill.
Pretty Vee
You already know.
DJ Envy
You already know.
Pretty Vee
I ain't get study on these.
Scott Galloway
I get study on, like, a lesbian. She a little. She a little pregnant. She like, wife beat on, picking the hair. And I'm like, I don't want to do that.
DJ Envy
You don't see that for Jess?
Pretty Vee
I see it for Jess, but I didn't.
Scott Galloway
But I didn't want to do that.
Jess Hilarious
You ain't passed that letter. Well, the book is out now. The pretty victory. And I think it's only right we leave with a prayer.
Pretty Vee
Yes, a pretty prayer.
Scott Galloway
That's called a pretty prayer.
Pretty Vee
What a pretty prayer book.
Scott Galloway
Is it like a long prayer? Are we getting.
DJ Envy
It's up to you.
Pretty Vee
Because he just got pressed, so it's.
Jess Hilarious
Up to you, period.
Scott Galloway
Father God, we just thank you so much for today. Lord God, we thank you that you are so worthy. We just thank you that you are so massive. We thank you that you are so powerful. Lord God, Father God, I want to say thank you so much for what you're doing and what you're about to do. Lord God, in these last and evil days, Lord God, the seen in the unseen, the hurt and the unheard. Lord God, Father God, we thank you for all the doors that you are opening. But all the doors that you are closing. Lord God, I thank you for every soul who's around this table. Oh, God, just Lord God, keep her in perfect peace, Lord God, let us know that she's seen, Lord God, let us know that she's heard, Lord God, Every cry that she's cried, Lord God, I ask that you hear her. Touch down on her heart, Lord God Purge her into her greatness, Lord God, it's so much things that she wants to do, Lord God, in this season, Lord God so give it to her, Lord God. Give her the witty inventions, Lord God, to do it. Lo God, bless envy, Lord God keep him going, Lord God. Allow him to be the best father he knows how to Be Lord God. Let him quiet the noise, Lord God. Whatever he may be dealing with that we may not know in his secret place, Lord God. We just ask that you cover him under the blood, Lord God. His kids, Lord God, Father God. Do a round of protection over his kids, Lord God. Even his wife, Lord God. Many opportunities, Lord God. Will fall with his family, Lord God, bless Charlotte, Lord God. Keep him in perfect peace, Lord God. Anxiety. Anything that he may be thinking about overthinking, Lord God. Anything that he may be feeling like on the days that he may not express, Lord God, Father God, we just want to say thank you, Lord God. Keep him, Lord God, Father God. We just ask that you catapult Charlemagne's career, Lord God. To higher heights, Lord God. It's never too late, Lord God. To do it, Lord God, Father God. Whatever he's writing down in his journal, Lord God. Whatever he's thinking about, Lord God. Him and his wife shall do, Lord God. Even his kids will eat off of those benefits, Lord God and Father God, the generations to come and to come and every soul that's a part of Breakfast Club's team, Lord God, bless them now and forevermore in Jesus mighty name. Amen. Amen.
DJ Envy
Amen.
Pretty Vee
How intentional she is when she pray right?
Scott Galloway
It's pretty V. The pretty V. The pretty victory.
Jess Hilarious
It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get to Jess with the mess.
Pretty Vee
The news is real, whether it's Jessica Robin Moore. J don't do no l. She don't spare nobody Worldwide.
DJ Envy
J. Worldwide mess on the Breakfast Club. She's a culture shooter. She was able to get y'all to.
Pretty Vee
See something and understand something that nobody could get you to see.
DJ Envy
It's time to set it off.
Pretty Vee
Oh, my God. What happened to Laval Ball's foot?
John Cameron Mitchell
Charmaine, why did you go under the table last Being messy.
DJ Envy
I dropped something, first of all.
John Cameron Mitchell
So yesterday, online prayers for the The Bar ball started going viral, and people were like, what the heck is happening? And TMZ then did a story. They got some exclusive details that he had suffered a serious medical emergency. He had to get his right foot removed.
Scott Galloway
Removed.
Pretty Vee
Okay.
John Cameron Mitchell
And he's.
Scott Galloway
He's.
John Cameron Mitchell
Well, he's in great spirits.
Pretty Vee
Dang.
John Cameron Mitchell
The photo that I was waiting for last hour, I.
Pretty Vee
So you did get the confirmation on which foot? It's the right foot, cuz earlier she was like, I. It's either his right or his left. I was like, he got another one somewhere. It has to be one or the other one. I Did. Yeah, she said it either his right or his left.
John Cameron Mitchell
I'm not sure I be too invest like I be.
Pretty Vee
You are.
John Cameron Mitchell
I be so focused. I'm like.
Pretty Vee
Cuz when she said it, you're not too invested. You just really want to make sure you got it. She was like, it's either the right or the left.
John Cameron Mitchell
I'm not sure he's in good spirits, though. I did want to show you guys the photo because I think when you hear it, because he's smiling, but his leg was amputated.
Pretty Vee
Oh, Lord. Yeah.
John Cameron Mitchell
Sending him some love. We don't know what happened, though, to answer your question. We just know it was a medical emergency that resulted in him. In him.
DJ Envy
And nobody has to disclose what their actual medical emergency is. But I'd be wanting to know for my own personal reason. I'd be wanting to know, how do you prevent things like that from happening? Well, they. They.
Jess Hilarious
Well, I'm not gonna say what they. Well, no, because there was a rumor what was online, what they assumed it to be. They assumed it to be diabetes because usually black men have problems with diabetes. And usually with diabetes, they have to do that to your leg because you have pure poor diabetes.
DJ Envy
And why are they dying?
Jess Hilarious
Poor nerve damage and poor circulation, which usually is the reason why they have to take the foot off.
John Cameron Mitchell
When I heard it, I. I assumed that, but I don't know know that for sure. But I did assume that when I heard.
Jess Hilarious
Yeah, I seen a lot of people.
John Cameron Mitchell
Saying that yesterday, especially because he's been. Because, you know, he was like such a big personality everywhere and then change nothing.
Pretty Vee
No, but I mean, I see him cheesing right there as a reason he's.
John Cameron Mitchell
Kind of not been as like. Like out out.
Jess Hilarious
Well, he did what he had to do. He got two kids in the league and another kid that got a hit record. Right. Millions of dollars.
DJ Envy
He's still standing on business just for five toes now. That's all. That's it.
Pretty Vee
Speaking of somebody else standing on business while I was on Club Shay. Shay.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yes. Wallow sat down with Shannon Sharp for Club Shay. They talked about a ton of stuff, but they did get into.
Pretty Vee
I know that was a long conversation.
John Cameron Mitchell
Was like. It was like two hours. But it was. It was good, though, from. From start to finish. I enjoyed it. But they got into a couple things. So they. They talked about when Gilly's son was shot and killed and just how that day went for Wallow and Gilly. Let's take a listen.
DJ Envy
We was at the radio station in Philadelphia and I'm in the bathroom. He like, low Cheese got shot. I said, what? So immediately I jump on the phone. I call, you know, I call our family in the Philadelphia Police Department. I'm like, listen, I put Gil on the phone, right? So we drive. He driving this car, we flying up to the hospital, and he on the voice, like, I'm gonna check into her morning, just on the third. So when we hang up, me, him and Gil, the police, I'm on the. Gil hang up. Our people call me back and said, call me by yourself. Keep Gil off the phone. So we driving, we get to the hospital. Gil there, Cheese mom there. Everybody up there. I had my phone gonna vibrate. People call me. He said, listen, he ain't make it. I put the phone down, put in my pocket. I attempted to walk out of the emergency room. Gil say, what happened? What's up, cuz? What's going on, cuz? And I'm walking. He keep following me. He said, cuz, what's up? And I grabbed him. I said, he gone. That was the most craziest I ever had to do. Damn, man. I watched that yesterday. I was. Yeah, I was gut wrenching.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yeah, it was, it was, it was. And then. So there.
Pretty Vee
Yeah.
John Cameron Mitchell
And then, then after this, Shannon Sharp comes in and asks him about. About rumors about the Illuminati.
DJ Envy
That was a wild follow up question. That was. That was ridiculous. I've asked some ridiculous questions in my day. I don't. Yeah, that. In that moment. That was a wild follow up question while I was crying, still. That was a wild follow up question.
Pretty Vee
No regard for his, you know. And then we talking about your little cousin. This, you're direct. Like, this is directly.
John Cameron Mitchell
I had the audio if y'all want to listen to it. But I mean, we don't.
DJ Envy
We don't have to.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yeah, he also got into a little Dirk as well, too, because y'all remember, that was such a big moment not to take revenge. And now Dirk is locked up. Let's take a listen to that moment.
DJ Envy
It's not about them listening. It's about conditioning. It's about environmental. You can listen to everything that I say. But a lot of time, as I'm still growing, I don't have the resources to remove you from the danger that you're up against every day. A lot of things, these young lovers, they smart. A lot of them are smart. But their environment don't allow them to grow. Because I can't move out of this environment right here. And I know them dudes down them block they want to kill me. I got to protect myself. I want to. To kill. So it's deep. And all we do is criticize young black male every way possible. But we don't. We don't bring no resources. So I could tell these young brothers this, that, and the third, but they still got to take care they, baby. I got to figure out the only way that they know. And in order to really take somebody to another level, you got to have time, energy, and resources to deprogram them so you can reprogram them. The programming was hit. The dehumanization of black people by black people was strong. That we done. I don't think y'all realize how special Wallow is, man. Drop on the food bombs for Wallow. That's a good black man right there. I love that brother.
John Cameron Mitchell
He broke down crying about, like, just, you know, not being built a way to, like, he doesn't ever want to cause harm to another black family. Like, what his family went through. Talking about, like, just why he didn't retaliate when it came to his brother's death. And just the way he explained it, and just. I was like, man, Wallow is like, protect him at all costs. Like, just a mess.
DJ Envy
God is. Don't worry about that. He's divinely protected. Protected. We'd be saying, protect people at all costs, but we don't protect our own like we should. But he's divinely protected. Believe that.
John Cameron Mitchell
And they kind of got into that, too. They talked about a lot in this interview. It was really good. And. And the reason why this was brought back up is because, as you guys know, Little Dirk right now is behind bars. He's waiting to face charges for murder for hire in the killing of his brother. Do you think.
Pretty Vee
No, he wish you listen now. All right, yeah, maybe not. You know, you just like you say, like Wallow says, until sometimes, you know, that's all they know. You know what I mean? No matter how much money you got or whatever, if you can't see, you know, if you don't really have, like, a plan to put in place to help people do what they, you know, help people elevate, then it really ain't going. You know, you can't expect for them. You can lead a horse to the water. What they say if you can't make.
DJ Envy
Them drink, they don't even want to hear you. Like, you know, you trying to tell them what they should do. Stay out the street, blah, blah, blah. But are you putting any money in their pocket? Are you providing them Any opportunity. They ain't trying to hear you if. If you ain't doing that.
Jess Hilarious
And also, also, you know, hurt people. Hurt people. You know, you get to a situation where you're hurt, and sometimes it's hard to express your feelings, and you want revenge, and you want revenge by all costs. And the people around you are usually saying, yeah, let's go, revenge. And sometimes you need that person like a wallow. You need that person to be like, yo.
DJ Envy
Yep. Cause guess what? You still. You're in prison still sick.
Jess Hilarious
You're right.
DJ Envy
You're in prison. Still dealing with that same trauma. Even worse now.
John Cameron Mitchell
But you know what's crazy is Wallo said Dirk called him and said, yo, come talk to these people. Like, the people around him. Like, he wanted to get them straight because. Because of that. Everything y'all are saying right now. So that's kind of the irony in Dirk's situation.
Jess Hilarious
Yeah, but it's a difficult one. But.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yep.
Jess Hilarious
Again, salute to wallow.
Pretty Vee
Thank you.
Charlamagne Tha God
All right.
Jess Hilarious
And that is just with the mess. All right, now also, just fix my mess. You can get on the phone lines, 800-585-1051. We'll start taking your calls, but we got donkey today.
DJ Envy
Up next. Yes, indeed. There's a woman in Savannah, Georgia. She went to a clinic called the Coastal Fertility. Fertility Fertility Clinic. And they need to come to the front of the congregation. We like to have a word, please.
Jess Hilarious
All right, we'll get to that next. It's the Breakfast Club. Come on.
DJ Envy
You're checking out the Breakfast Club.
Pretty Vee
Damn the he haw again.
DJ Envy
It's time for donkey of the day. I'm not trying to be donkey today no more. They should be embarrassed by what they already did. I'm not making these people do these.
Pretty Vee
Things called donkey of the day. And it really caught me off guard. Damn Charlemagne. Who got the donkey of the day today?
DJ Envy
Well, Jess, hilarious. Donkey of the day for Thursday, February 20, goes to the Coastal Fertility Clinic in Savannah, Georgia. Now, I want to salute. I don't know if it's in Savannah, but it is in Georgia. I want to salute all the women out there going through IVF treatments. We know what IVF treatments are, right? The fertilization of an egg by a sperm outside the body. Women get ivf. IVF for various reasons. Infertility, age, genetic concerns. It's a lot of reasons that women get IVF treatments. President. President Trump actually signed an executive order aiming to reduce the cost of IVF on Tuesday. I believe that's a good thing. Right? But what if you are a woman who is out there trying to get pregnant through ivf? You want to have that baby. Oh, the joy you feel two weeks after that embryo transfer and the doctor gives you a positive result and tells you that you have had a successful implantation in pregnancy. Drop one of Kluz bombs for those who have experienced that level of joke. But what if you didn't get what you paid for? Meaning you paid to get pregnant, you know, had the baby. But what if what they put into your cart isn't what you ordered? You don't find this out until you receive your groceries. Okay? What are you talking about, Uncle Charlotte? Well, what I'm talking about is exactly what happened to Christina Murray, a resident of Savannah, Georgia. Salute to everyone who listens to us on 94.1 the Beat and Savannah. Savannah. Christina was given the wrong order, ladies and gentlemen. Let's go to the day. Let's go to the Today show for the report, please. My son's skin tone didn't match mine, but he was still my son.
Charlamagne Tha God
Christina Murray was finally living her lifelong dream of being a mother.
DJ Envy
He was beautiful and perfect, but it was also very clear that something was wrong. After a grueling round of IVF and.
Charlamagne Tha God
Nine months of pregnancy, Murray, a white woman using a white sperm donor, gave birth in late 2023 to a baby.
DJ Envy
Boy with a much darker complexion. My son's skin tone didn't match mine, but he was still my son. What should have been a joyful first.
Charlamagne Tha God
Few months bonding with her son, who she loved and wanted to raise, was punctuated by constant fear and uncertainty. I didn't know whether it was a sperm mix up or whether he was someone else's. Murray took a DNA test that confirmed her baby wasn't hers biologically. The clinic she'd used, Coastal fertility specialists, eventually determined that they mistakenly implanted another couple's embryo in Murray. The biological parents sued her for custody.
DJ Envy
And Mari chose to give the baby.
Charlamagne Tha God
She loved up to them rather than fight. And I walked out of the building with an empty stroller and they left with my son.
John Cameron Mitchell
Damn.
DJ Envy
She had a black widow baby. Or whatever Rita Ora was saying on that song from back in the day. Listen, don't let Donald Trump hear about this. He's gonna blame it on dei. All right? This white woman was trying to conceive a child and they put the wrong embryo in her. And she ended up having what the lawsuit described describes as a dark skinned African American baby. I bet Christina was like, now I understand why I had all these strange cravings. Okay, Cajun collard greens. I never craved Cajun collard greens before I was pregnant. Oh, my God. Is this why I couldn't stay out of Popeyes? I ate so much sweet potato casserole from Ruth Chris. Oh, my God. There were signs. The smell of black and mouth smoke never bothered me. Can you imagine? You spent nine months preparing for a little bundle of joy and instead said you give birth to a cultural awakening. All right, she probably named the baby Woke. Now she gotta go buy books like Brown Baby Nursery Rhymes and other diverse children's stories. It's just a mess. And this isn't like getting your order wrong at a fast food restaurant where they can just, you know, give you what you asked for. This is a baby, okay? If you don't like it, you can't just give it back. Imagine Coastal Fertility Clinic, like, well, ma'am, I know this isn't what you ordered, but what's wrong? Wrong with it? It works. She said it hurt to give the baby away because in light of history, she thought she should be able to sell it. Christina, I am sorry you had to go through that, okay? You bonded with the baby. And I know the hardest part wasn't to mix up. It was explaining to your husband why their baby was born with a full lineup. Please give the Coastal Fertility Clinic the biggest. Y'all.
Jess Hilarious
That is wild.
DJ Envy
It's wild. Now, what about when you have a baby baby, and the baby comes out looking nothing like you, but it's actually yours?
Pretty Vee
I'm dealing with that.
DJ Envy
Can anybody deal with that in this room?
Pretty Vee
You're a. You're such a clown.
DJ Envy
What do you mean?
Pretty Vee
It's crazy.
DJ Envy
What are you talking about?
Pretty Vee
Don't ever play with me like that in your life. Talking about, first of all, my daughter got my eyes, and we got the same blood type, so don't ever play with me.
DJ Envy
Yeah, I believe the blood type and my eyes is how did she die?
Charlamagne Tha God
Face is Chris's.
DJ Envy
That skin is Christmas.
Pretty Vee
Okay, I know. That white lady was like, what could you imagine?
Jess Hilarious
They put that baby right on her chest and be like, whoa.
Pretty Vee
She said she had to give away our son. I know that black fat.
Scott Galloway
I know.
Pretty Vee
She was like, y'all ain't gotta take me to court.
Scott Galloway
Please take.
DJ Envy
Take the baby.
Jess Hilarious
Take this baby.
DJ Envy
The only thing that would have made this story better is if she was actually racist.
Pretty Vee
I know, right? I know. That would be wild. Yo. Damn.
Jess Hilarious
What did she name the baby? Because she had to name the baby someday, right?
DJ Envy
Kunta, shut up. I know. I made that up. I don't know what she named.
Pretty Vee
But you're also idiot for the cravings, too, because not Popeyes Black and Miles and what else? I didn't even say Cajun collard greens.
Scott Galloway
Yes, you did. Come out.
Pretty Vee
That's why I can't say out of Popeyes. Baby, please, please. Yeah, right.
Jess Hilarious
All right, well, thank you for that donkey today.
DJ Envy
What you sucking your teeth for this guy Max? So stupid, man. Matt. Come in, Mac.
Pretty Vee
Oh, God. What?
DJ Envy
Serious?
Pretty Vee
That's how I talk about Popeyes.
DJ Envy
So dumb. What you just said. Mac. Mac be texting me. He texting me while he listening what you said Mac. Imagine you prepare for that, baby. You bought all this sunscreen, now you got to buy Vaseline. Jerking smok. Jesus.
Pretty Vee
Hey. Damn, that's messed up.
Jess Hilarious
Oh, my goodness. I hate this place. All right, when we come back, Just fix my mess. 800-585-1051. If you're having relationship problems, you need to talk to Jess caller now. It's the Breakfast Club.
DJ Envy
Good morning, the Breakfast Club.
Charlamagne Tha God
It's the real deal.
DJ Envy
Help me, help me.
Pretty Vee
Oh, my God. I'm all up in your mess I'mma fix it, fix it, fix my mess Fix it, fix it Jess gonna fix your mess Cuz my advice is real.
Jess Hilarious
Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlamagne the guy we are the Breakfast Club. It's time for Just Fix My Mess. Hello?
Pretty Vee
Who's this?
Scott Galloway
Hello?
Jess Hilarious
Hey, what's your name?
Pretty Vee
I have to be anonymous because I.
DJ Envy
Have a real issue and I need help.
Jess Hilarious
All right. Where you calling from?
Pretty Vee
What's up, Cincinnati?
Jess Hilarious
All right, what's your question?
Pretty Vee
She ain't even want to say where.
DJ Envy
She was calling from.
Jess Hilarious
Look.
DJ Envy
All right.
Pretty Vee
What's up, boo? Oh, my God. Okay.
Scott Galloway
I got two guys, right?
DJ Envy
Oh. And I like them both.
Scott Galloway
Both.
DJ Envy
But I was dating one first, and.
Scott Galloway
We got kind of went on a.
DJ Envy
Hiatus, or however you say that.
Scott Galloway
And you know, and in between that little time, that little three weeks that we wasn't dealing with each other or talking, I met another guy. And I really, really like him.
DJ Envy
Like, I like him more.
Scott Galloway
Let me just say that.
DJ Envy
Okay, but the first one, he's been.
Scott Galloway
In the block and he is applying.
DJ Envy
Pressure, so I don't know what to do. He's talking about marriage, baby moving in his house, and I have my own house. So he's like, it's just a lot.
Pretty Vee
But what? But, okay, so are you already letting me know that the great attributes about the first one. What about the second one? What is the second one offering? Like, what is good? Does he align with you? Like, what's up? Are y'all equally yoked?
Scott Galloway
We are like, okay, this weird.
DJ Envy
Okay, we get. We both have kids. And so the first one, he doesn't have kids.
Scott Galloway
So this one, I said, feel like.
DJ Envy
He'S more family oriented. He's more understanding. He is.
Scott Galloway
He's so soft to my.
Pretty Vee
I'm like, okay, do you have kids?
DJ Envy
Yes, I do. I have two kids.
Pretty Vee
Okay, okay. So. So how old are your kids? Are they older?
Scott Galloway
Yeah, they, like, about to be grown.
John Cameron Mitchell
Okay.
DJ Envy
All right.
Pretty Vee
I was gonna say, because if you got young kids, then you need to deal with the guy who got kids also because he knows how to govern with kids. You know what I'm saying? He knows how to operate with the family. The not saying that the other guy won't, you know, but I don't know. It's. It sounds like one guy is 9 out of 10 and the other one is 10 out of 10. You don't want to just go for the 10, you know what I'm saying? Because both guys sound great, but you can't be with both guys.
Scott Galloway
He, like, one is financially stable and.
DJ Envy
The other one is finding his way.
John Cameron Mitchell
That is the other.
Pretty Vee
So there we go, the financially stable one. It's a lot of people trying to find a way these days. And I understand, I understand. Right. But you can't be the gp. Yes. For sometimes. So I think since you both feel like they qualify for, you go for the one that is financially stable, who is mentally sane. Who is the most mentally sane. How about that? The other one, the number two is the one who trying to find his way is mostly mentally sane or what?
DJ Envy
Yes, yes.
Scott Galloway
No complications, no problem.
DJ Envy
The other one just like be down.
Scott Galloway
My throat, what you doing?
John Cameron Mitchell
Where are you going? Where you being like, goodness, Ooh, I don't like.
Pretty Vee
All right, well, it look like he about to help find his way then. Cause I can't.
DJ Envy

Charlamagne Tha God
You have you ever looked into the night sky and wondered who or what was flying around up there? We've seen planes, helicopters, hot air balloons, and birds. But what if there's something else, something much more ominous that appears under the COVID of night? Silent, unseen, Watching.
Ow. Goes lower.
Like, no matter how hard I try, all roads lead to the hookup. You think it's causing people to turn aggro?
DJ Envy
I'm gonna rip your arms off and use them to.
Charlamagne Tha God
Yeah, that's a word for it. This is such terrible representation. I'm so sorry. Poppers.
DJ Envy
These aren't just any poppers.
Charlamagne Tha God

DJ Envy
Okay?
Pretty Vee
So.
DJ Envy
Okay. Thank you.
Pretty Vee
No problem, sis.
DJ Envy
All right.
Jess Hilarious
Just fix my mess. 800-585-1051. If you need advice. Relationship advice caller, now, it's the Breakfast Club.
DJ Envy
Good morning. X about me.
Pretty Vee
Relationship problems.
DJ Envy
X about me.
Pretty Vee
You need to beat your co worker's ass.
DJ Envy
Ask about me.
Pretty Vee
Your co worker need to beat your ass.
DJ Envy
Call it up.
Pretty Vee
It's Dr. Jess, and I'm here to fix your mess. Fix your mess. It's getting very much messy. Let me fix this.
Jess Hilarious
Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlemagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. We're in the middle of. Just fix my mess. Hello? Who's this? Hey, what's up, bro? What's your question for Jess?
DJ Envy
Jess, I need your help.
Pretty Vee
What's up, babe?
DJ Envy
So that was a while back. I had a little infidelity incident with my wife. So she doesn't trust me when it comes to social media. Now, I didn't do anything physical. It was strictly emotional. But on the flip side, I use social media for, like, bookings and gigs and all of that stuff. So I guess, is there a way for me to reassure her in the aspect that I'm not doing anything outside of that? Like, she has access to all of my stuff. You can open my phone, go through whatever she needs to go through. But, you know, I don't know how to reassure her that I'm not doing anything, man.
Pretty Vee
That's what you have to do. You. What do you mean? You don't know how. I mean, she got all your stuff that she still treats you like she don't trust. Trust you or what? Like, what's happening to make her. I mean, because it has to be a reason that you. You calling me like she's still acting like she don't trust you or what she mad at you. Her mood swings up and down. Like what?
DJ Envy
In a way, it's like little innuendos like. Oh, I know you're doing.
Pretty Vee
Yeah, now, now you said a while back. What is a while back to you?
DJ Envy
Like two years ago.
Pretty Vee
Okay, so two years ago, you, you now, now what level of cheating was it? What is it like a full on affair? Did she catch you texting? Did you take somebody. What. To what level did it get? Because if it's two years ago and this. It depends on the level of cheat.
DJ Envy
It was more so just conversations that shouldn't have been had and the. I guess the frequency of the conversations.
Pretty Vee
Okay, frequency, if that makes sense. Yeah, no, I get it. You did. It was deep. The conversation was deep and it was a little too deep.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Pretty Vee
Inappropriate for your girl mind to not wander. Two years later, later, you found me. So you. You have to. You absolutely have to just keep reassuring her, y'all. I don't care what you rub them feet. You tell her how beautiful she is. She. You just gotta. You gotta keep doing that. Cuz obviously she's still there. So it's a part of her that. That don't want to give up. You know what I mean? It's a big part that don't want to give up. Cuz if this happened two years ago, you know, and. And it's still bothering her and it was bothering her that bad and it hurt her that bad, she would have been gone. But it's a part that she's holding on going to, but she just still has that in the back of her mind, no matter what, you know, because she. Once you give somebody your oil and then they, you know, you hurt me in any type of way, it's. It's hard to even, you know, get back to what we once were, you know what I mean? So that you're gonna be rich.
DJ Envy
Yeah. And. And I know they say that there's like no time for healing.
Pretty Vee
Yeah.
DJ Envy
But I'm just trying to figure out how to like catapult this thing.
Pretty Vee
Yeah, yeah, I know. You just got to keep working at it. Don't give up. She ain't give up on you. Don't give up on her, you know what I mean? Because this is the bed that you made, you know?
DJ Envy
Yeah, I appreciate that. But. Hey, Jeff, can I say one more thing to you before I go?
Pretty Vee
What's up?
DJ Envy
Hey, so your show in Tampa, right? I've been trying to hit you up, blow you up on social media. I. I think you been ignoring me or your teammate been catching My messages. Look, let me open up for you, man.
Scott Galloway
Man.
Pretty Vee
Oh, so, yo. No, I haven't. There was so many people that be hitting me online and DM and stuff. So. No, I don't ignore people. I really don't. I have a two man show, so it's just me and my brother. He does 30 minutes at a time, does the Alexander, and then I do an hour and some change. I don't even do openers like that because I do openers sometimes, but not all the time, you know, and this is a casino. If I was doing like the comedy club, I would have you, brother. I would do that. You know, but for the bigger venues, I like to keep the show tight. You know, we already got our stuff airtight. And it's just, you know, what if.
DJ Envy
You got a hot 45 seconds?
Pretty Vee
O.
DJ Envy
Listen. So look, so look, I'm a musician. All I got to do is entertain him for, for, for one song and that's it. Oh, he not even.
Jess Hilarious
Trying to sing and rap. You rap or you sing?
Pretty Vee
He, he, he.
DJ Envy
No, no, I'm a musician. I play the saxophone.
Jess Hilarious
Oh, he wants to play the saxophone for the people.
DJ Envy
But that's something different. You ain't never had that on your show?
Pretty Vee
No, no, I don't think that that's the vibe that, that, that you ain't heard people.
DJ Envy
Normal vibe, though. It's just hilarious. Not jazz hilarious, sir.
Jess Hilarious
But you have a good one, brother. Good luck with your relationship.
Pretty Vee
Saxophone fire. Damn.
DJ Envy
Sound advice. Just fix and go to jessilarisofficial.com for tickets for her Tampa show.
Jess Hilarious
This 800-585-1051. Now we got just with the mess coming up.
Pretty Vee
Yes, Anthony Edwards had a little moment with Obama and people coming at him.
Jess Hilarious
All right, we'll get to that next. It's the Breakfast Club.
DJ Envy
Good morning.
Jess Hilarious
Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy. Jess. Hilarious Charlemagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get to Jess with the mess.
Charlamagne Tha God
News is real.
Pretty Vee
She don't spare nobody.
DJ Envy
On the Breakfast Club. She's a coach. She was able to get y'all to.
Pretty Vee
See something and understand something that nobody could get you to see.
DJ Envy
It's time to set it off.
Pretty Vee
All right, we got some things to get to. But first, Anthony Edwards had no. What now what exactly did he say? Because I don't really feel like what he said was, like, bad about Obama. That got people on his ass.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yeah.
Pretty Vee
Was it?
John Cameron Mitchell
Okay, so Anthony Edwards had an exchange with Obama on the Quarter Gold, the Netflix documentary.
Jess Hilarious
That basketball player, Anthony Edwards.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yes. Basketball player Anthony Edwards.
Pretty Vee
It's another one.
Jess Hilarious
It might be. People might not know who he is.
Pretty Vee
All right.
DJ Envy
It is a very common black name.
John Cameron Mitchell
Anthony was with Obama cussing from around the corner. But yeah. So the Netflix documentary is called Coro and it goes behind the scenes of men's basketball at the Olympics, the 2024 Olympics in Paris. And Obama's in the documentary, he's narrating a part of it. And him and Anthony Edwards have this, like, mini conversation has made people really upset. Anthony, let's take a listen.
DJ Envy
What do you think about this young guy? He can hoop a little bit, huh? Just a little bit, huh? Y'all better stand down. I'm the truth. He said he's the truth. Yeah, he boy know le are y'all talking to this young man? Because right now he just said he's the truth and all that. And the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. You asked him, you tell him the whole context of the situation, though. You asked him what he think about this young man, and he said, I'm okay.
Jess Hilarious
I said, I'm the truth.
DJ Envy
He tripping. That's what happened. Nothing wrong with that.
Pretty Vee
Nothing wrong with this.
DJ Envy
We gotta have that. Yeah. That man, the truth. Gotta have swag like that, baby.
Jess Hilarious
What's wrong with that conversation?
John Cameron Mitchell
The way the people regard Obama, they were so upset. Like, they're like, why are you talking? Why was he talking? Why you being snappy?
Pretty Vee
Like he was talking to his grandfather.
John Cameron Mitchell
Exactly, exactly.
Scott Galloway
In.
John Cameron Mitchell
In. In context. Anthony Edwards, when he says, oh, Obama was asking him. He's talking about Joel and B. Because that's who Obama was talking to. But people were upset about and saying that it was disrespectful that they were even asking. There were some people even saying, like, hey, he should apologize for this. That was not a moment. Former president.
DJ Envy
It's amazing how people act like they hate respectability politics. Politics. But then love to engage in respectability politics. Anthony Edwards did nothing wrong. President Obama is just a man. And if you're going to insert yourself and engage in a real n word conversation with a y n rhetoric back.
Jess Hilarious
That's right.
Pretty Vee
Especially when it comes to Hawaiian hooping.
DJ Envy
Exactly.
Pretty Vee
You know what I'm saying? When they get busy.
Jess Hilarious
So Anthony Edwards gets busy, he gets busy. And he. I'm just. Okay, now I'm the truth.
DJ Envy
And he was shooting at both of them. He was at Joel and Barack. And then Barack had to call in somebody his age. LeBron come over. That basically was like, hey, man, get this y away I feel like the chuckles.
Pretty Vee
I mean, he le. I mean, not LeBron.
John Cameron Mitchell
Obama.
Pretty Vee
Obama. He was chilling, too.
John Cameron Mitchell
It was. It was a locker room conversation. Honestly, people just took it. They took it left, just said, don't get it twisted.
Jess Hilarious
Obama plays basketball, so he knows what it is.
Pretty Vee
He.
John Cameron Mitchell
He ain't see Anthony Edwards, though, but.
Pretty Vee
It'S the conversation of it.
DJ Envy
Yeah, it's a dis disconnect, though. Like, he can have, like, he can have those conversations with Michael Jordan, you know, conversations with Magic Johnson because they're around his age. He's having conversations with LeBron. Lil Wyatt. Anthony Edwards ain't trying to hear it.
Pretty Vee
Matter of fact, I take your old.
DJ Envy
Ass out there right now, cross you up, I dunk on you right now. President Obama.
Pretty Vee
Nothing like that. Why are we acting like Obama asked for a one on one or something? All he did was say, what's up with this? Don't call me, okay?
DJ Envy
I'm the truth.
Jess Hilarious
Don't call me, okay?
Pretty Vee
No, that's why.
Jess Hilarious
Oh, you want to play me a ball right now?
DJ Envy
You got eyes. You got eyes. Oh, you getting old, huh? You can't see me. You ain't never seen me out there on that court, huh? President Obama.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yo, og, you good? You all right?
DJ Envy
That's what he telling him. He's checking the temperature. I don't see the problem with Anthony Evans did at all.
John Cameron Mitchell
He was all love, but I thought the moment was so funny because I'm like, since when?
Pretty Vee
He just clowned out.
DJ Envy
Yeah, y'all coming to the defense of President Obama's white side. His black side can handle that situation.
Pretty Vee
I'm just saying.
DJ Envy
Moving on.
John Cameron Mitchell
Speaking of white side, black side.
Pretty Vee
Yeah. So the food stamps and the white man, what happened?
Jess Hilarious
That's food stamps and the white man.
Pretty Vee
That's what I. I saw. Food stamps and a white man.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yes. So Tamara, Mari, Tia. Tamara. Tamara Maori's husband, Adam Housley, who is, you know, he's. He's been very vocal about how he feels politically. He came out and he posted a tweet. And the tweet, it's gotten some people upset. He was talking about snap food stamps and how it's being used. So he said, as a kid who grew up in a neighborhood grocery store. Store since I was five, I can tell. I can't tell you how many times I saw people come in and buy crap food for their kids with food stamps, then open the wallet, use cash for liquor, beer, wine, and cigarettes. Then there were those who would repeatedly buy a lemon or lime, get change, walk out the door, throw them away, do it again until they had enough change to buy cigarettes or alcohol. As a kid, it pissed me off because there are so many people who could really use the help and then there are others who are working the system. Now, what he's referring to and what he was commenting on is the fact that RFK Jr and team are now working to make it where when you have snapper food stamps, you cannot buy certain processed foods, sugary drinks or candy. Because they say if so the junk.
Pretty Vee
Food for the kids or whatever, you know, junk food period.
John Cameron Mitchell
But just junk food and certain processed foods as well too. Now the reason why they're trying to do this is because they're saying that taxpayer dollars shouldn't be paying for that. Like, if taxpayer dollars are paying for this, you should be buying your kid healthy food. Boy, when he tweeted that, the alarms go off, of course. Oh yeah, they were, the people were responding and basically saying, you are super rich, you're a silver spoon leech. You need to mind your business. They were, people were ating Tamara like, yo, this your man.
Pretty Vee
Like, come on, we going expect her to say something.
DJ Envy
The funny thing about the Internet is people be arguing about age old discussions. This is not new. Like, public health and medical officials been saying that they should shouldn't allow you to use food stamps to buy junk food. Like, they've been saying this for years.
Pretty Vee
The fact that he's white, I think it's the messenger.
John Cameron Mitchell
They, because they try to spin it into, oh, you want to take money out of or assistance out of parent mothers, homes and families in need. And he's like, yo, that's not even what I was saying. What I'm saying is people who take advantage of this, they're hurting the mothers more and we should be doing something about it.
DJ Envy
It's like you can't use snap and food stamps for alcohol. It's the same thing.
Pretty Vee
And then I also want people to understand it's not only black people that receive SNAP benefits too. Because that, that's, that's in the comments too.
John Cameron Mitchell
Like, yeah, they made it a race thing.
Pretty Vee
Yeah, it's like, yo, yo, black people not the only one that received that. You know what I mean? So, yeah, I get it. Okay, well, we don't have time for the last one. Or do we? Because I really want to get to this. This is Tank. This is my guy.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yo, Audio. This is Tank on Floyd. He sat down with J. Hill on.
Pretty Vee
A J. Hill from Baltimore City. I was in a lose, lose situation.
DJ Envy
Now what came out still on top with Floyd?
Pretty Vee
What was the lose, lose situation, you mean?
DJ Envy
It was situation that he put me in, but he thought I was going to lose. Who was your mind? Joseph Pedraza. My first world title, I was 16.
Pretty Vee
And 0 and I was 21 at the time. And I haven't fought in like seven or eight months.
DJ Envy
When they came back and was like.
Jess Hilarious
All right, you gotta fight. He was like, you gotta fight this.
DJ Envy
This fighter, which is Joseph Pedraza.
Pretty Vee
If you don't fight him, you know, you're not fighting.
Jess Hilarious
You like, you send on this show. Do you think Floyd did that intentionally? Yeah, for sure.
DJ Envy
Like, why would he try to diminish your career? They were saying I was messing with.
Jess Hilarious
His daughter off of the fact that.
Pretty Vee
She kept Snapchatting me.
DJ Envy
Okay.
Pretty Vee
Kept hitting me on the Snapchat.
DJ Envy
So they sent it to Floyd and Floyd bugged out.
Pretty Vee
So he was supposed to lose that fight.
John Cameron Mitchell
That's what, that's what I mean, that's.
Pretty Vee
What he feels like because he was dating Little Shorty.
John Cameron Mitchell
He said he wasn't.
Pretty Vee
I mean, not dating, but it was like, you know, there was.
John Cameron Mitchell
There was something. There was something happening with Snapchat. And he saying that Flu was upset. But another part of the interview, we don't have time to play it, but another part of the interview that people got upset about, not upset, but people were responding to, was when he, at one point he said he was better than Floyd. And then he took it back and he was like, well, maybe, you know, if I'm kind of like, if I'm fully on my game, I could see him somewhat. Like, people are like, you know, you talking about Floyd Mayweather, right? You know, but I think it's just Tank throwing his weight around because he's Tank.
DJ Envy
Tank get busy. But Tank got to start fighting some real competition, you know what I mean? I want to see Tank fight teal female Lopez, pronounce his name. Teofimo Lopez, Shakur, Stevenson, Devin Haney. I jump in the ring with them guys.
John Cameron Mitchell
How you feel about the fight that's coming up on the first?
DJ Envy
He gonna rush, he gonna watch, dude.
John Cameron Mitchell
Yeah, but. And maybe that's why. That's not because I think the hype around him, I mean, Tank is Tank, he's a superstar. But the hype worked. It depends on who he's fighting. And some of the fights now I.
Pretty Vee
Just be like, I'll be honest, I never heard of Roach until I heard that Tank is about to fight him. So, you know, But I. I feel like I don't know. A lot of the people that tank fight until he fights them, right? So.
John Cameron Mitchell
Well, he said hand in hand.
DJ Envy
Hand.
John Cameron Mitchell
He, he think he, he could be skilled, skill wise. Nobody's better than him. Hand in hand, he could see.
DJ Envy
Floyd, that's not true.
Jess Hilarious
And any boxer should say that.
Pretty Vee
Yeah, great.
Jess Hilarious
All right, well, so that is just with the mess. All right, well, let's get to the People's Choice mix. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
DJ Envy
You're checking out the Breakfast Club. Morning everybody.
Jess Hilarious
It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlamagne, the guy we are the Breakfast Club. It's Black History Month. Who we do, who we represent happen today?
DJ Envy
Well, you know, every day during Black History Month, my guy, B. Dot, puts out an episode of I didn't know. Maybe you didn't either, which is some things that you may or may not have known about black history. And today he's going to take you on a wild ride through black history where thriving black communities were burned down, literally, and their land was stolen by greedy corporations. Let's discuss even after, after all that the Klan wasn't done. In 1932, they burned down the Paulding courthouse. Now this wasn't just some random arson. That was strategic because that courthouse held the land records for the black families in Jasper County, Mississippi. Meanwhile, the records for the white families were chilling in another courthouse miles away, untouched, real convenient. Then a few years later, along comes a company company called Masonite. They're like, oh, wow, look at all this land just sitting here. Guess it's ours. They ended up with over 9, 500 acres of land. And we've already done the measurements of acreage this season. One acre is roughly the size of a football field. So 9, 500 football fields worth of land that used to belong to black families. And let me tell you, that land wasn't just sitting there looking poor pretty. It was full of oil, timber and gas. Millions of dollars came out of it, but not a dime went back to the original owners. You see this the stuff they don't teach you in school. That's why we have. I didn't know. Maybe you didn't either. Cuz see, they'll give you dates, wars and treaties, but they skip over the part where entire black communities were systemically erased. Not because they weren't successful, but because they were successful in this situation. It was titled Imminent Domain. And this ain't just some dusty old story. It's a reminder that the game has been rigged for a very long time. So if you're sitting here listening today thinking, what can I do? Learn these stories, share these podcast episodes, challenge the systems that allowed this to happen and keep showing up. Because black excellence isn't just a moment. It's a legacy. And no matter how hard they try, try, they can't burn that away. And I didn't know maybe you didn't either.
Jess Hilarious
All right, Happy Black History Month, man.
DJ Envy
And make sure you subscribe and download to the I didn't know. Maybe you didn't need the podcast available everywhere. You listen to podcasts on the Black Fact iHeartradio podcast network.
Jess Hilarious

It's always amazing to watch, you know, people like V watch people like Jess because we've been watching these folks for so long on social media, but the see them, you know, out in the world thriving and to see the impact that they've had on other people, oh, my God, that's amazing. And even last night when people were there, you know, there were people in the crowd that were asking questions, and when they were talking, they were talking to V, but they were talking about you. They were talking about Desi, they were talking about B. Simone. Like they've watched this whole generation of people grow up and continue to thrive. So it's, it's. It's a pleasure to witness.
Pretty Vee
Absolutely appreciate that.

Jess Hilarious
All right, you gotta pause. Positive note.
DJ Envy
I do have a positive note, man. And it comes from the great Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. Rest in peace. To Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. He once said, give yourself a gift of five minutes of contemplation in awe of everything you see around you. Go outside and turn your attention to the many miracles around you. It's just a five minute a day regimen of appreciation and gratitude. And I promise you it'll help you focus your life and just understand the miracle that your existence is. So just give yourself five minutes of contemplation today. Just go outside and look around and just say, man, thank you. Be grateful for everything you see. The clouds in the sky, the sun, even the cold weather. If you're in a place that's cold right now, just feel, feel good that you can enjoy that moment. Because it's better for you to be cold than your body be cold six feet underground right now.
Jess Hilarious
All right.
DJ Envy
Did that get dark?
Pretty Vee
That went dark as hell.
DJ Envy
Okay, turn the table.
Pretty Vee
Oh my God. Game over.
DJ Envy
