What is that on your head, Jess?
Angela Yee
What do you mean?
Charlamagne tha God
I'm just glad it's not a wig and a hat. I thought it was a wig. I didn't know. I just saw it in my peripheral. I'm like, damn, I hope she don't come in here with no lime green.
DJ Envy
That's what I thought it was at first. When you first walked in, I thought it was a green.
Charlamagne tha God
You say that like we ain't seen that in the streets before.
Angela Yee
You're right.
Charlamagne tha God
What are you talking about?
Angela Yee
Good morning.
Charlamagne tha God
Good morning, all. How you feeling out there, man?
DJ Envy
How you feeling, Jess?
Angela Yee
I feel good. I feel good. I'm ready to be in Greensboro, North Carolina, telling you that I'm scared of what the airport gonna look like, but I'm excited to go to Greensboro.
DJ Envy
Just give yourself a little extra time. You got pre check, man.
Charlamagne tha God
I flew yesterday and it was light, like, I don't know. Yeah, I was. I was dreading it. I was like, damn, I wonder what the airport gonna be like. It was so regular. I flew to D.C. yesterday. I was at Howard University. Salute to everybody at Howard University. It was Howard University's business school. Me and Steve Madden had a conversation with some of the students.
DJ Envy
The only thing about DC Is from New York to DC you can catch a flight every hour or an hour because there's so much going back and forth to D.C. it makes it a lot easier.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, but they were talking about, you know, like, people were just. We had those same concerns about the airport delays and all that stuff. I didn't see none of that. No long lines. None. It was very regular.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Big Extra Plug
Well.
DJ Envy
Well, what's your best heading out?
Charlamagne tha God
That's just that route.
DJ Envy
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Angela Yee
I'm going down south. South, South.
Caller/Listener
Yeah.
DJ Envy
It's not too many flights going to those areas down south. It's like one flight or two flights.
Angela Yee
Two flights today makes it a lot
DJ Envy
more difficult where, you know, with Charlemagne, where there's a flight every hour. Yeah, every hour. So, anyway, well, let's get the show cracking. Big X the Plug will be joining us this morning.
Charlamagne tha God
Let me tell you something, Big Extra Plug got a new project out called 6wa, with his. His crew, his label, 600 Entertainment, Rosama and murder gang. PB&Kane and Young Hood. Lord have mercy. That record hard. Cause they paying homage to, you know, NWA and the West Coast.
DJ Envy
That's right, you know.
Charlamagne tha God
Cause they from Dallas and the DLC is from Dallas. And they even got the DLC speaking on the album. But the DLC is on the album, that project. Hard, bro. Yes, it is very hard.
DJ Envy
Yes, it is. So we're gonna be talking in a couple of minutes. And also Mimi has front page news next, which want to start the show with, man.
Charlamagne tha God
I want to start the show with my guy, Trapp. Dicky, man. Salute to my dude, Trap Dicky. He just signed with Top Dog Entertainment. Drop one, include Bombs with Trap Dicky, you know, South Carolina Zone. And he got this record down south with Key Glock. I think it's like number five.
DJ Envy
Five what?
Charlamagne tha God
I don't know. On the charts.
DJ Envy
I don't think it's number five on the charts.
Charlamagne tha God
I saw that somewhere.
DJ Envy
No, it's not number five.
Charlamagne tha God
Urban shots.
DJ Envy
No, I don't think.
Charlamagne tha God
Black shots.
DJ Envy
No.
Big Extra Plug
You sure?
DJ Envy
Yes.
Angela Yee
Oh, he doesn't be talking.
Charlamagne tha God
It don't matter. It's a tough record. And why can't I lie? Everybody else lied. Why can't I lie?
DJ Envy
Trust me.
Charlamagne tha God
Trust me. When I'm lying, it don't matter if it's not number five yet. It will be. It will be. South Carolina's own Trap Dicky. This my guy, man. This is down South. It's the Breakfast Club. My guy trapped Dicky, man. Hartsville, South Carolina Zone just signed the tde Top Dog Entertainment. I seen him sitting courtside with Top Dog at the game and all that.
DJ Envy
You know, the crazy thing is every time you think you say Top Dog, I think of Top Dog Lord first. Right?
Charlamagne tha God
Which is crazy.
DJ Envy
It is disrespectful. But every time we hear Top Dog. I just, I see Lauren running in,
Charlamagne tha God
I don't know, respect for our guy. Top man dropping the foo bombs for Top. Okay, Top was the first Top Dog I know.
DJ Envy
Yes, that's right.
Charlamagne tha God
Right.
DJ Envy
All right, well, let's get in some front page news. What's up, Mimi?
Mimi Brown
Good morning, NVHS Charlemagne. How y' all doing this?
Charlamagne tha God
Mimi Brown.
DJ Envy
And some sad news and some quick sports. Detroit Pistons starred Cade Cunningham.
Charlamagne tha God
Yo, what's up with that?
DJ Envy
He's being diagnosed with a collapsed lung and is expected to miss an extended period of time.
Charlamagne tha God
How do you just get diagnosed with a collapsed lung?
DJ Envy
I don't.
Charlamagne tha God
I thought something happens that causes your lungs.
DJ Envy
I thought so, too, man. That's so sad. Well, wishing that, brother. Healing energy, man. What's up, Mimi?
Mimi Brown
All right. Good morning, guys. So we start this morning with a major price tag on the war with Iran. And it's raising questions this morning on Capitol Hill. So the Pentagon is Now asking for $200 billion to fund the war effort. A massive number. A massive number that still needs approval from Congress. And Defense Secretary Pete Hech said he confirmed the request is under discussion and says that number could still change. Let's listen.
DJ Envy
As far as $200 billion, I think that number could move. Obviously, it takes money to kill bad guys. So we're going back to Congress and folks there to ensure that we're properly funded for what's been done, for what we may have to do in the future, ensure that our ammunition is. Everything's refilled. And not just refilled, but above and beyond.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes, you can't request money for free health care. You can't request money for free education. You can't request money for affordable housing. But you can request money for 200. For the $200 billion to kill people.
DJ Envy
That's insane.
State Farm Announcer
200 billion.
Mimi Brown
And to put that in perspective, the war is costing about a billion dollars a day. Right? So this morning, lawmakers on both sides, they are reacting. Some Republicans, including key senators who would need to sign off on this, say that number is higher than expected.
State Farm Announcer
Expected.
Mimi Brown
And they want more details before approving it. Meanwhile, Democrats, they are pushing back even harder, arguing that the country can't afford it. And that money could go to. To your point, Charlemagne, things like health care, education, and lowering costs for families. But still, there is no clear end or timeline for how long this war could last. Yesterday, President Trump, he was asked by reporters again if he plans to send ground troops and what he plans to do about oil prices. This is what he had to say,
DJ Envy
no, I'm not putting troops anywhere. If I were, I certainly wouldn't tell you, but I'm not putting troops. Everything was going great. The economy was great. Oil prices were very low, gasoline was dropping to, I mean we had $1.99, 85. We had great everything. And I saw what was happening in Iran and I said, I hate to make this excursion, but we're going to have to do it. And I actually thought the numbers would be worse. I thought that it would go up more than it did. But we're doing this excursion and when it's completed, we're going to have a much safer world. I just wonder what our backstock looks like, right? What does supplies look like? If we're spending a billion dollars a day on this war and we don't know when this is going to end, if somebody else decides to attack us, will we have enough, will we have enough ammunition? Will we have enough missiles? Will we have enough planes? You know, will we have enough to make sure that we're safe?
Mimi Brown
And that's a really good question. That is what, uh, Pete Hegseth says some of the money would go towards funding and, and buying new weaponry. So that was part of his argument. So we'll have to see what that looks like. But meanwhile, Americans here at home, they are still feeling the impact. Now gas prices, they're up 91 cents since the beginning of this war. Right. So we've watched it go from 30 to 50 to 71 and now we are at 91 cents since the start of this war. And as the administration prepares to ask Congress for even more money, we're now getting a new look at the nation's finances. The US national debt has now hit $39 trillion for the first time ever.
Charlamagne tha God
Just a poor ass country. Where they going to get $20 billion from?
Mimi Brown
Yeah, well, according to the, to the national debt is $39 trillion. But here's what's also raising concern is that the country added a trillion dollars in less than five months to that national debt. A pace that economists say is just simply not attainable. So you know, to put all of this in perspective, you know, last week we talked about that watchdog report that said that the Pentagon spent 93 billion in just one month on food and luxury items. And now they're asking for even more money. And this has critics raising questions about accountability.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, the people who voted for Donald Trump, I don't see how they can make excuses for him anymore. Because if you're, if you're, if Your main reason for voting for him was the economy. The economy has only gotten worse. I mean, Donald Trump has really over exceeded expectations in regards to how bad people said he was gonna be.
DJ Envy
Yeah. And my other question is, if we're spending a billion on missiles and war, how long is Iran gonna be able to rock? How much money does Iran have to continue to fight back? You're saying a billion dollars a day.
Mimi Brown
We're spending a billion dollars a day. But keep in mind, Iran has been planning this war for a really long time. They have been stockpiling their missiles for a really long time. And there are reports that, you know, they're getting help from other countries. So, you know, you really don't know.
Charlamagne tha God
The other thing he was saying was Iran's, Iran's arsenal, like their attack drones are significantly ch. The intercept interception missiles that the US uses.
Mimi Brown
They're like $50,000, something like that. They were saying it's, it's, it's really cheap compared to what we've got going on. So with, at that price tag, I'm sure they've been, you know, able to make a lot of them. And in other news on Capitol Hill, lawmakers spent yesterday debating the SAVE Act. That's that controversial bill that we've been talking about that's focused on election requirements, including proof of citizenship to vote. The critics say that bill would make it harder for as many as 21 million Americans to vote, especially women, and are calling it a form of voter suppression. But while that debate played out, there was no movement on ending the shutdown. And Democrats, they made another attempt to fund parts of the government, including TSA workers. But that effort was blocked by Republicans. Let's listen to Senator Brian Schatz of Hawaii, who says federal workers are being caught in the middle.
State Farm Announcer
They won't fund tsa. They won't fund Coast Guard. They won't fund fema. They won't fund cybersecurity unless we attach ICE to it. So all I am asking, all we are asking is release the hostages. These government agencies did nothing to deserve being defunded. Let's just be adults, continue our negotiation about ICE and release the hostages. These are American citizens working for the
DJ Envy
government, working for the public without a paycheck, and we could solve this right this moment.
Mimi Brown
Yeah. So we are now in day 35 of this partial government shutdown. The clock is ticking. The Senate is scheduled to go on recess from March 30 to April 10. So there's no agreement before then. The shutdown will move past the 43 day shutdown. That was the official longest day shutdown. And this one will become the official longest shutdown in US History.
Charlamagne tha God
Imagine being a TSA worker, a federal worker not getting paid. But you hear them asking for 200 billion doll crazy for a war, hearing him say things like it cost a lot of money to kill people. Meanwhile, you got folks in America dying right here because they broke. Yeah, I knock everything off this table right now.
DJ Envy
All right.
Mimi Brown
Very good point.
Caller/Listener
All right.
Mimi Brown
Well, coming up at seven, a decision out of Florida is raising questions this morning about who you can love and who you can't love according to the law. We're going to talk about it in the next hour.
DJ Envy
All right, Everybody else, get it off your chest.
Charlamagne tha God
Feel like we're going to talk some, right?
Angela Yee
Because then they had a. Don't say gay.
Charlamagne tha God
Bill me.
Mimi Brown
It is not that. It's not what you think.
DJ Envy

Big Extra Plug
This is your time to get it off your chest. Whether you're mad or blessed.
Angela Yee

Charlamagne tha God
the way that you talk.
DJ Envy
I hate the way that you dress. Everything with me is blessed. Call up next, 800-585-1051. Not just me. I'm with the culture.

DJ Envy
Get it off your chest.
Caller/Listener
Okay, so I called on Valentine's Day for a donkey of the day and gave it to my baby daddy. That's who I am. So I was calling because it's crazy that it's so expensive to live out here. They say that to get food stamps and stuff, they want you to be working. But when you work and you don't make enough money to even pay the bills, but they don't give you enough food, they don't give you no food stamps.
Charlamagne tha God
It's unbelievable. Meanwhile, they asking for $200 billion for Wolf spending a billion dollars a day on war.
Caller/Listener
It's crazy. Thank you. It just don't make no sense. Like, I'm just trying to provide for my kids. I work two jobs. My daughter has a job, like, and we still barely making it. Yeah, we make just enough money to
Charlamagne tha God
be broke in this country. Act like it don't have it, but it's. It sure got it for a lot of bs.
Caller/Listener
They definitely do. That's why I'm glad that my kids high school, they would graduate high school with a trade. Both of them. My Son want to do automotive. My daughter want to do either CNA or cosmetology.
Charlamagne tha God
Hold on. Let's salute this fine high school. What's the name of this high school that's teaching kids trade? Man, I'm glad that they still got trade in high school. What's the name of the school?
State Farm Announcer
North Central High School in Indiana.
Caller/Listener
Yeah, up in Indianapolis.
Charlamagne tha God

Charlamagne tha God
Okay. Thank you very much for that salute to everybody who listens.

DJ Envy
Hey, Christopher. What's going on? Get it off your chest.
Caller/Listener
Yeah, I just wanted to tell everybody, pray to. Pray to God. Because the world is crazy.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes, it is. And we just need faith. Okay, I agree with you wholeheartedly. That's. That's the. That's the one part of the equation people don't talk about. Enough, man. All praises due to God. God is in control, baby.
Angela Yee
That's right.
Caller/Listener
Yeah. With that meteorite in Earth, that was like a little warning sign. Like, hey, get it together.
Charlamagne tha God
Hold on now. Do you know that one? They saw one last night in California. A big ass fireball in the sky.
Angela Yee
No.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes. Another one. And they said it's been six of them this week.
Angela Yee
Damn.
DJ Envy
So, wait, wait. So what happened? Did it hit something?
Charlamagne tha God
I don't know if it hit it. I woke up to. Yeah, I don't know if it hit something, but I saw it. I saw this story this morning. It was a media that they saw in California last night. Hold on, let me look it up. Oh, let me look it up. Yes. A likely media blazed across northeast. No, that was Tuesday. Oh, I know. I saw the one in California last night. Let me find it.
DJ Envy
Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, hit us up now. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Angela Yee
Wake up. Wake up.
Big Extra Plug
This is your time to get it off your chest. Really?
DJ Envy
A man or blessed.
Big Extra Plug
We want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club.
Nyla Simone

Big Extra Plug
How y' all doing, man?
Charlamagne tha God
My guy. How are you, sir?
State Farm Announcer
I'm trying not to complain, bro, but I'm blessed. Black and howdy favor, man. I want to get off my chest about this idiotic administration, man, ruining the country, man. Everything that everyone has worked hard for throughout their life, 401ks.
Caller/Listener
Everything.
State Farm Announcer
Like, man, bruh, Like, I just do not understand how people have so much faith in this administration when they're literally tearing everything down.
Charlamagne tha God
I don't everything down, man, that people
State Farm Announcer
have worked hard for.
Caller/Listener
I'm not.
State Farm Announcer
I myself personally make.
Charlamagne tha God
I'm.
State Farm Announcer
I make six figures, bro. That good money ain't good money no more because of everything that these people are doing. You got TSA workers being held hostage because they don't want to fund ice. We don't want to fund ice.
Caller/Listener
Like, what.
State Farm Announcer
What the hell are they doing, man? Like, I can't even. I cannot even get my thoughts or my words together, bro, because I'm just so pissed off right now, man. Like, they just. It's. It makes no damn sense.
Charlamagne tha God
It don't make no sense. And you know what I say to all my money guys, like, you know, like, all of the, you know, multi, multi, multi millionaire billionaire people that I'll be having conversations with? How. How are y' all letting him mess up the money? Yeah, like, hey, you know, usually when you start to get. When you start to messing up the money, that's when they start, you know, getting you out of here. Now you messing up the money. And ain't nobody saying that globally, he messing up the money. You know what?
Angela Yee
Yeah.
State Farm Announcer
But I'm gonna go on the record, and I'm gonna say this, though, bro. Trump was right. He was right about what? He was right when he said decades ago, the Republican are the most uneducated.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, I get what you say. I remember now.
State Farm Announcer
So you guys to sit here and still hold this man, Johnson, the way y' all do. He's telling you to your face every damn day that y' all are stupid as I thought y' all was.
Charlamagne tha God
Damn.
State Farm Announcer
You know what I'm saying, man? Bro, listen, I'm just.
Caller/Listener
I'm.
State Farm Announcer
I'm tired, man. We are tired.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes.
State Farm Announcer
We're tired of this.
DJ Envy
All right?
Charlamagne tha God
Yes, sir.
State Farm Announcer
That's all I want to get off my chest, man. Y' all have a blessed day, man.
Charlamagne tha God
A bright fireball was seen creaking across the sky over la, okay? Adding to a string of similar sightings reported this week. Witnesses described a fast moving object lighting up the sky before fading out, consistent with small meteors burning up in Earth's atmosphere. All right, it's going down. And Lauren dressed like a Ghostbuster. Lauren, we thinking about aliens, okay? And you dress like a Ghostbuster. Okay? We're not fighting the paranormal right now.
DJ Envy
Oh, my goodness.
Charlamagne tha God
Where are your fatigues?
DJ Envy
What's up, Lauren? That was getting off your chest, by the way. Oh, we got the latest for Lauren coming up. What we talking about?
Charlamagne tha God
Or your proton pack?
Lauren LaRosa
I don't love all of that. I'm just here. It's just me. That's all. I got the best I can with what I can. Doing the best I can with what I got.
DJ Envy
What we talking about?
Lauren LaRosa
We gonna talk about Justin Bieber and Usher, man. Because I know Justin Bieber's been trying to get rid of everybody from his past, and it ain't looking good for them too. Okay, we're gonna get into the details.
DJ Envy
We'll get into that next. Don't move. It's the Breakfast Club.
Big Extra Plug
Good morning.
Charlamagne tha God
Don't play with Lauren LaRosa. Lauren LaRosa gonna serve her look, okay? She giving us Ghostbusters couture this morning. You hear me? Okay.
Angela Yee
I love it.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah. This is just my chill Friday. I just threw this on because I ain't feel like getting dressed.
Charlamagne tha God
Just a little light day of fighting ghosts. You know what I'm saying? Just a little light day of fighting ghosts.
Lauren LaRosa
Like og. OG Milano D Rouge. You had to be with her like. Like early days and have this.
Charlamagne tha God
That's OG Ghostbusters. Okay? That's Bobby Brown cleaning the the building. And Ghostbusters. That's what that is.
DJ Envy
Let's get to the ladies.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah. I'm not dumbing myself down. I'm being myself. I'm the home girl that knows a little bit about everything and everything.
Angela Yee
Little brown girls look at you and
Lauren LaRosa
go, I want to be like you.
Caller/Listener
Take me through that. Take me through that.
Big Extra Plug
The latest with. Take me through them on the Breakfast Club. Talk to me.
Lauren LaRosa
All right, y'.
Mimi Brown
All.
Lauren LaRosa
So I'm doing something right now that I don't like to do anymore after Janet Jackson and Jermaine. But we're gonna do it anyway. I'm getting into people's business without speaking to someone myself because it's being reported.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, Janet Jackson and Jermaine Jackson.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, Janet Jackson and Jermaine Jackson.
Charlamagne tha God
Remember Janet and Jermaine Dupree? I'm like, what that's such an old school.
Big Extra Plug
No.
Lauren LaRosa
Janet Jackson and Jermaine Jackson. I'll explain why I brought that up. So it is being reported right now by TMZ on sources that Justin Bieber and Usher got into it at Jay Z and Beyonce's Gold Party, which is an after party that you like, a famous after party they do for the Oscars right now. This story just broke yesterday. The Oscars were what about now? Like a week ago?
Charlamagne tha God
Not even a week.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah. So this story just broke yesterday. But according to tmz, there was an incident with Usher and Justin Bieber. Now they're have some people that are saying it ended up in a physical fight, which I really don't believe would happen. But then they have other sources that they say are close to Justin Bieber who say that Usher came up to Justin at the party and his energy was off and he was angry, he was upset, allegedly. And they got into a heated exchange, but there was no physical content contact. But it was intense. Now I reached out to Usher's camp. Nothing back. I reached out to the people listed online for Justin, for people that don't
DJ Envy
know Usher was the one that Usher
Lauren LaRosa
was the one that founded Justin Bieber.
DJ Envy
Justin Bieber out.
Lauren LaRosa
Yes, we know Justin Bieber and we love Justin Bieber, honestly, because of us, Usher. So that's why this is a big deal. Now I've tried to reach out to people from people that would have understood who that would have known what was happening at the Gold Party, Usher's camp and Justin Bieber's camp. No response back. But this is the same thing that happened with the Jermaine Jackson and Janet Jackson story. And then the family came out and said it wasn't true. So I'm reporting it. But, you know, again, I haven't confirmed any of this myself. Now we do know though that Justin Bieber has been, he's been openly open about taking steps to remove himself from people that are a part of his past life. And he sold his, his catalog recently and you know, it seems like he's.
DJ Envy
But he's never said anything negative about Usher that I know, right?
Lauren LaRosa
He hasn't said anything that. I mean, besides, I know him and Scooter Brian had their like backup at one point. He hasn't really said anything about anything, period. Like we saw him perform at the Grammys when he was in his underwear and he talks about his family and God and you know, those type of things. But I've never heard him talk anything. So I don't know.
Charlamagne tha God
I know Usher's so sick of y' all putting him in confrontations with people every couple of years. Y' all say I should got into it with somebody. Why? Yeah, why y' all be doing that to us? I shouldn't bother nobody.
Lauren LaRosa
Not at all. Yeah.
Nyla Simone
And.
Lauren LaRosa
And then in the report, it says that it's very. It's still unclear what the argument, if there was one allegedly was even about. But I just feel like that Goal Party is so locked down, so hard to get into. Very exclusive. A lot of high profile people in there. Like, I. I just feel like why we would have heard about this at some point. Like, there's a ton of paparazzi outside. Like, I just feel like it would have sl way before today or yesterday,
DJ Envy
but, you know, maybe, maybe not. If there was that many people in there and they got into that incident, there was no paparazzi to see it because it was outside happened.
Angela Yee
You know, we just had Raja Carruth up here. He said he went to the Gold Party. We should have asked him what happened.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, he was there with Marseille. Yeah, there was a lot of people. And I've called. I had. I had a friend that was there that I called that said that they don't know anything about this either. So I don't know y', all, but I'll keep y' all posted if I do get some more information at all. So, in other news, Lotto is pregnant, guys.
Angela Yee
Oh.
Lauren LaRosa
She is for real life. Yes.
Angela Yee
So Big Mama, one kid.
Lauren LaRosa
Yes. So she announced it via music. She has a new project out, her new song out called Personal and Business, and it's going to be on a new album that she has coming. And the video is. Is so beautiful. Uh, it opens up with her. Uh, you don't see the belly at first, but it's kind of like a. It's like, all right, all white room, and she's painting and she's setting something up, and then she goes into talking about the pregnancy. Let's take a list to Lotto on Kid on the way.
Charlamagne tha God
I like that. I like when people announce things through music. I'm so sick of y' all tweeting and going live. Okay. And going on podcasts if you're an artist, you know what I mean? Let people know what's going on through your music.
Lauren LaRosa
Yes.
Charlamagne tha God
Do a performance or something.
Lauren LaRosa
I like that she has a full album that she actually dropped or not dropped, but she announced first. So it was a photo of her pregnant, holding, like, a baby cub. And then the album is called Big Mama. And it's coming out on May 29th.
DJ Envy
Congratulations.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah. So this is just the intro song now. You're talking about releasing things through music. So a few. First of all, back in October, remember, she performed in Japan, and people were like, oh, my God, I think she's pregnant. I think she's pregnant. So I got in contact with her team then, and they weren't really saying much, but there was a video that was released, and Lotto was pregnant, very pregnant in this video. And I was like, this has to be AI. I reached out to her team again, and I'm like, hey, let me know if you guys are planning to release something so that we can kind of coordinate on the release of it. And her team told me, like, look, we not say anything now. There's a lot of things circulating, but she will address it soon. So she decided to address it in the music. But that video that was circulating is a part of the music video. So I don't know if it leaked on accident, if it was put out there. It's kind of like a teaser or not. But the way that she did this was.
Angela Yee
It was.
DJ Envy
Anybody ever say, yo, Lauren, leave me the F alone?
Lauren LaRosa
People have said that, and then I leave them alone.
Charlamagne tha God
No, you don't. You pull out your pack and your ghost trap and you tell them, if you don't give me what I want,
Lauren LaRosa
okay, I'm trapping you right now with stuff like this. If you're not budging on something that's as, you know, as sacred as, like, a pregnancy or whatever.
DJ Envy
I. I said, you called them three times.
Lauren LaRosa
Well, the only reason why I did is because my contact with them has always, like, nada. Leave me alone. But, like, we not ready yet. So I knew that she was probably going to do it through the music. And we're a radio station and one of the, you know, the major leaders in entertainment news. So I'm like, let us do it with you.
Charlamagne tha God
You shouldn't be calling people. They should be calling you because you're a Ghostbuster.
Lauren LaRosa
That happens sometimes, too.
DJ Envy
You got to go bust this theme music.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, she. She got.
Lauren LaRosa
I know this is the same story. I just wanted to show y' all some of the things in the video, because people do think that this is her telling us that the baby is her first baby with 21 Savage because of the hands that are around her belly in the video. And, of course, there is another photo here. I don't have it, but she did a. She did a scrapbook, and in a scrapbook, she had baby photos of her 21. Savage. So, I mean, she had. She didn't say it, but we're. We're grabbing clues.
Mimi Brown
I mean, you put little things.
Lauren LaRosa
You put little things like that in a video because, you know, fans are going to pick up on it. Like, she's Even in the opening of video, she's painting, and I noticed you see the 21 on the pan.
Angela Yee
Absolutely.
Caller/Listener
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
Like, little things like that you want your fans to pick up on because they're. We kind of know now. Yeah, we've seen them. You don't see the two and the one right here? No, you don't see the two and one.
Angela Yee
Like a little question mark. But still, we know what she trying to see.
Charlamagne tha God
Y'. All. Y' all seeing what y' all want to see.
DJ Envy
Oh, my God.
Angela Yee
Oh, my God. Well, congratulations.
DJ Envy
Yeah, congratulations.
Lauren LaRosa
Congratulations.
Angela Yee
Love that.
Lauren LaRosa
But the song is fire, though. It opens up slow like that, but then she starts, like, spitting and, like, you know. No, can you focus?
Charlamagne tha God
Where's your proton glove? Huh?
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, my God. It don't go.
Charlamagne tha God
Where's your proton grenade? So can you pull out your PK meter and just see if there's any.
Lauren LaRosa
You don't ask a woman to pull out any.
DJ Envy
I ain't scared of no ghost.
Angela Yee
Can you.
Charlamagne tha God
Can you just pull out your PKE meter?
Lauren LaRosa
I don't even know all that. Oh, my God. We got a wrap.
DJ Envy
That is the latest with Lauren.
Lauren LaRosa
Thank you.
DJ Envy
AKA the Ghostbusters.
Lauren LaRosa
Congratulations Lotto and. Come on, it's over.
DJ Envy
All right.
Lauren LaRosa
It wasn't even funny.
Angela Yee
Happy birthday, Spike Lee.
Lauren LaRosa
Y', all.
DJ Envy
He is 69. Happy birthday.
Charlamagne tha God
If you fought in that thing, boy, you gonna have problems that far. Ain't got nowhere to go. Right up. Yeah, at the top. Right around your neck.
DJ Envy
Hey, that's it.
Charlamagne tha God
And that far. Gonna ride right up the achievement.
DJ Envy
We come back, we got front page.
Lauren LaRosa
And it would sit here and record
Angela Yee
bubbles that roll up in Kiss Shakuchi
Caller/Listener
right on her lips.
Lauren LaRosa
She be like, ew.
Charlamagne tha God
When did she go home and take it off? That's what we call them wolf outfits. Wait, y' all talking about when you fought in them. And then you go home and take it off. It just all hit you at once.
Lauren LaRosa
Like you talking.

What up everybody? It's DJ Emmy from the Breakfast Club. Now you know me and my wife married 24 years and together over 30. And yes, we still speak on the phone every day. I mean the early days I didn't have a cell phone. I couldn't afford a cell phone. And the cell phones were like the size of a man's purse. But anyway, I love speaking to my wife over the phone. People say we talk too much, but that's my best friend. Why shouldn't we be able to talk all the time? All day long. 24, 7. But did you know that 2026 will mark the 150th anniversary of the first ever phone call. It took place March 10, 1876. And that call sparked it all for the first long distance phone lines. The first lines across America. The first line across the Atlantic. The first round the world called the first commercial cell Service. The first 911 system AT&T has been connecting people for 150 years in so many different ways. Thank God we have cell phones. I can connect to my moms, my pops, and my whole family. Thank you.
Charlamagne tha God
ATT.
Lauren LaRosa
Connecting changes everything.
Charlamagne tha God
AT&T.
Lauren LaRosa
Hey y', all, what's up? It's Lauren LaRosa. Okay, let's talk curls for a second. Because you already know if you have curly or coily hair. Moisture is not optional. It's essential. Dryness is one of the biggest challenges for curly hair. And most products they clock out after wash day. The new Ultra moisture collection was literally designed with our hair in mind. Curls, coils, all of it powered by potato oil and Jamaican black castor oil. Which means the science is actually doing the work. Clinically proven to help retain moisture for up to five days. Five whole days. The shampoo gently cleanses without stripping. The mask deeply, conditions and helps reduce breakage. The leave in adds a lightweight hydration with hyaluronic acid. And the curl cream defines without crunch. No sulfates, no parabens, no silicones, no mineral oils. Just nourishment without the compromise. Because here's the thing, your hair deserves products that actually understand it. Moisture that starts at the root and keeps going well past Sunday. That's the Ultra Moisture Collection from Cantu Explore their full line built for every curl pattern, every hair routine available now at Walmart, Target and Amazon. Go get it.

Charlamagne tha God
Can we play Bobby Brown on our own this morning?
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Angela Yee
I don't know why my mind went there, girl. That's cause I I'm fast and I can't.
Caller/Listener
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
Can we play Bobby Brown on our own this morning, please? On our own because it's from the Ghostbusters soundtrack and I love that record and just Lauren's outfit is making.
DJ Envy
She making you think of Bobby Brown?
Charlamagne tha God
Yes, she is. Okay. Yes, she is.
DJ Envy
All right, Front Page News is next. Then Big X the Plug will be joining us. I don't know what the hell. It's a Friday, damn it.
Angela Yee
Period.
DJ Envy
It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning everybody. It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlemagne the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. We're gonna start off with some some Quick sports and front page news salute to Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham. He's been diagnosed with a collapse lung and is expected to miss an extended period of time.
Charlamagne tha God
I don't understand that. Like, I. How do you just get diagnosed?
Angela Yee
Something happened during a workout or something like that or.
DJ Envy
I have no clue.
Angela Yee
Yeah, lungs just don't collapse.
Charlamagne tha God
No, no. Something. Something had to happen.
DJ Envy
Yeah, but sending that brother healing energy, man. Just. I can imagine. What's up, Mimi?
Mimi Brown
Good morning, guys. How y' all doing this Friday morning?
Charlamagne tha God
Peace be around.
Angela Yee
Hello, girl.
Mimi Brown
All right, so we start this hour with what many in the travel industry are calling a perfect storm weekend. So if you're flying, this could hit your time, your wallet, and your stress levels. So here's what's coming together. Spring break travel is ramping up, meaning packed airports and more families on the move. At the same time, we're still dealing with TSA staffing. It is under serious strain. Officers are working. We talked about this in the last hour. Officers are working without pay. Many are calling out, quitting altogether. More than 10% of TSA workers nationwide, they didn't show up midweek with major airports seeing callout rates as high as 40%. And so what this looks like for you means longer lines. We're already seeing wait times stretch to 90 minutes in airports in Atlanta and up to three hours in Houston. And here's the part that is hitting many people directly, so it's harder to plan around it because the my TSA app, I don't know if anyone out there has used it, but it normally helps you track those wait times. It isn't being fully updated right now because of the government shutdown. So travelers are just being told to check airport websites, airport apps, and get there earlier than usual. And behind the scenes, TSA workers say they are at their breaking point. Many living paycheck to paycheck now being asked to work without one. Let's listen to a Miami TSA union worker.
State Farm Announcer
A lot of the officers right now, they're extremely stressed out. Congress needs to hurry up and get us paid. Coming to work every day is a decision now. Now we have to make concessions, fill out, gas tank up, don't pay this bill. You know, eviction notices are coming out. People's cars are being repoed. My biggest fear is putting these officers in a tough situation while we have to concentrate on the job of security and securing the national disguise. TSA has been successful in preventing any terrorist act on the airplane, on the airplane, in the airport, anywhere. And we've been 100% successful in doing that. Look, we cannot be distracted by all of these things not being able to pay our bills.
DJ Envy
Yeah, I mean, he's absolutely right. I mean, how can you even focus. Could you think about being a TSA member? A tsa? You're not getting paid, but you still got to focus on what you're doing. But you got to be thinking about how I'm gonna pay my bills, how am I eating tonight, how am I taking my family. I can't be focused on my job.
Charlamagne tha God
And I don't know if people realize the majority of Americans are living paychecks to paycheck. Like, you know, some estimates say 60 to 67, some say 60 to 78 of people are living paycheck to paycheck. Like. Like that. This is. This is horrendous, man.
Mimi Brown
Yeah. So imagine going without that paycheck and just having dealt with that a couple of months ago, and here you are again.
Nyla Simone
Right?
Mimi Brown
And he went on to say that this time it's even harder because he feels like the. The entire message isn't getting out because it's just dhs. Last time it was other agencies. And so people are less lenient with them. Yeah, they were given a paper last time that they could show that says that they, you know, they were part of the government shutdown. This time, people are like, I don't care. I need my money. Because landlords are also suffering as well.
Charlamagne tha God
So it would be great if people had more empathy, like if your landlord knew that you were a federal worker or a TSA agent. So, you know, they. They gave you some grace. It would be great if, like, bill collectors knew you was a TSA worker, a federal worker, and gave you some grace. But guess what? They're not.
Angela Yee
And that's the thing, because things go up for them too. You know, everything goes up for them.
Mimi Brown
So that was the point that. That he was trying to make as well. So, you know, and here's something else that travelers need to know. So if you get stuck in those long TSA lines and you miss your flight, you may be on your own. Airline says delays at security are not their responsibility. So unless your flight is canceled or delayed, you are not entitled to a refund at best. Airlines say they'll try and help you out. Specifically, American Airlines says it will rebook you for free on the next available flight. Delta says that it's handling this on a case to case basis. And Southwest says it will try to get you on the next flight, but it's urging passengers to get there early.
Angela Yee
Yeah. These airports gonna start shutting down soon if this don't get better. This is crazy.
Charlamagne tha God
I don't understand why they don't work more hand in hand, though. Like, I understand, you know, on regular days and regular circumstances when people are just late and trying to get through security, but when it's a situation like this, why don't the airline say, hey, I understand that we got flight schedules, but we get why people aren't on the plane.
Angela Yee
Right.
Charlamagne tha God
Can't you have some type of, you know, I don't know, 15 minute, 20 minute wait period? I don't freaking.
Angela Yee
But the air, but the air traffic is controlled a total different way.
Lauren LaRosa
Right.
Angela Yee
So you kind of got to take off at a certain time. Just how do you schedule out the day in air?
Mimi Brown
Yeah. Because someone's waiting for that spot at the gate.
Angela Yee
Right.
Mimi Brown
So you got that plane has a move so the next plane can come in if you, you know already.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Mimi Brown
Put together. And lastly now to a headline out of Florida that's getting a lot of attention this morning. So a bill in Florida that would have banned people from marrying their first cousin has failed. Lawmakers voted it down in the state Senate, meaning for now that kind of marriage is still legal in Florida. The bill would have blocked people from marrying, marrying anyone closely related on their grandparents or through their grandparents. So basically, your first cousin supporters say there are plenty of other options out there. You don't need to date in the family, and this may not be over. Florida lawmakers say the issue could come back for, for another vote. Let's listen to a lawmaker out of Florida.
Big Extra Plug
There was a time when I think first cousin marriages were allowed because population densities were not great. And, you know, it was hard to find a ma back when Florida was a wilderness. There are plenty of people here and there are plenty of people you can find to be your lifelong partner without looking to your first cousin. So, yes, I think it should come back. Whether it's a standalone bill, whether it's
State Farm Announcer
tagged on to some other bill, not real sure.
Big Extra Plug
We'll have to see.
Charlamagne tha God
I refuse to believe that Pum pum was ever that scarce anywhere in the world that you had to have sex with your first cousin.
DJ Envy
That sounds crazy.
Charlamagne tha God
I don't believe that.
Angela Yee
It does sound crazy. But look, if them people want to do that, y' all go ahead and do that.
DJ Envy
Like, why, why is it they gotta be something. Nothing wrong with the chromosome, with the
Angela Yee
kids and all that. Yeah, I understand, but I'm saying they, they know that.
Charlamagne tha God
No, you can look. I mean, there's a reason we say the craziest people in America come from the Bronx and all of Florida. Okay. We don't need them having sex with their first cousins.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
And breeding.
DJ Envy
Yeah, we don't know what that breeds. That might be serial killers.
Mimi Brown
So I knew you guys were going to say this, so I went down a little bit of a rabbit hole. So before we start side eye in Florida, there are several other states where this is legal, including places like Maryland. Jeff. New York, New Jersey. Yep. And California.
DJ Envy
You said New York, New Jersey?
Mimi Brown
Yes.
DJ Envy
You can marry your first cousin.
Mimi Brown
You can marry your first.
Angela Yee
You and your wife look just alike.
Charlamagne tha God
So you and your wife do look alike.
DJ Envy
Shut up.
Charlamagne tha God
No, that is true. Didn't y' all grow up together in Queens?
Angela Yee
Oh, yeah.
DJ Envy
She's from Brooklyn.
Charlamagne tha God
I'm from Queens. Yeah, I might be first cousin.
DJ Envy
She'll shut up.
Charlamagne tha God
But, you know, when you've been with somebody for so long, you start looking like them anyway.
Angela Yee
Yeah, absolutely.
Charlamagne tha God
I don't. This is disgusting. Okay.
DJ Envy
But I wonder if people out there really married their first cousin. Like, I wonder if that's a thing, like, we just don't know about.
Angela Yee
You gotta be. They trying to pass a bill that. That. That makes it illegal.
Charlamagne tha God
But what about the Westermark effect? You ever heard of the Western mark effect, where it's like, you know, you spend so much time with a person from, like, the age of birth to, like, 6 years old, where like, you're just biologically not attracted to them in any way, shape or form. Maybe I thought it was the Western market fact. Maybe I'm getting that wrong. But I remember reading about that back in the day with, like. That's why you're not attracted to family members, because you spend so much time with them.
Angela Yee
Right.
Charlamagne tha God
That you don't. That you. That you're not attracted to them.
Angela Yee
I don't know. That back in the day thing, when it was just a wilderness, Mimi, as you said, it probably was like, just families. Just, you know, different families and they gotta get it.
DJ Envy
But I used to hear about it heavy in the south, right? And the reason I would hear it, because the south would have so many siblings.
Angela Yee
Yes.
DJ Envy
That'd be. So many families. Big families.
Angela Yee
You only know who your cousin is. Ass.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, but not first. First is like your sibling, bro. Like, first cousin is different. You know, you might a distant distant cousin, you know what I'm saying? But not your first cousin. First cousin like your mama's sister's kids. You know what I mean?
Mimi Brown
Share Blood with your first. The same.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
And semen. Allegedly. What?
Angela Yee
Okay.
Nyla Simone
All right.
Angela Yee
I know that's very popular, like with white people, though. Like, they be doing it like the white people. I don't really know about the. The blacks, but, like the white people be doing that.
Charlamagne tha God
How do you know?
DJ Envy
Yeah, how you know?
Angela Yee
I mean, I went to school with. With a lot of them. You know, it's a lot of. Nah, but it was a lot. In my high school, it was a lot of people that look affected by, like, incest. Incest. So I was like, ah, incest.
Charlamagne tha God
Just said that white people like to sleep with their cousins because they got insects.
Angela Yee
No, I didn't.
DJ Envy
If you went to that school, what did that put? Where did that put you?
Angela Yee
Nah, nah. They was smart, but they was, you know, off. You could look at somebody like, ah, one of his eyes is. You know what I'm saying?
Charlamagne tha God
And then you're supposed to be detoxing.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
You smoke this morning?
Lauren LaRosa
I did not.
DJ Envy
I promise. On a different level. You smoke this morning? Oh, you had edible. Look at her, yo. She had edible. Thank you, Mimi.
Nyla Simone
All right, y'.
Mimi Brown
All. Well, that is your front page news. I'm Mimi Brown. Follow me Mimi Brown TV.
DJ Envy
All right. Thank you, Mimi.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes. And listen, you know, today is Friday, so we do the people's donkey. If you want to call up and give somebody the credit they deserve for being stupid, you could do it right now. 1-800-58-1051. It's the Breakfast Club.
DJ Envy
Big extra plugs up next. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlemagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. La Rose is here with us as well. We got a special guest in the building. Special guest, I should say it's his
Charlamagne tha God
first time on the show, but he bought the squad with him.
DJ Envy
That's right. We got big extra plugs. Welcome, brother.
Angela Yee
What up, big egg?
Big Extra Plug
What's up with it? What's up with it?
DJ Envy
Now you got your artist with you. So. So introduce your artist to us.
Big Extra Plug
I mean, they grown, they roll young hood, gb.
Angela Yee
All right, how y' all doing?
Charlamagne tha God
Who? The producer. Who do y'? All Beats man that need a race?
Big Extra Plug
Tony Coles and band play. It's. I mean, it's a mixture of a lot of people, but it's the same team. Okay, but Tony Cole, that's my main guy. Band play. My main guy Charlie, My main guy. And they probably somewhere working.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Big Extra Plug
Being honest, some of working. Get into it.
DJ Envy
That was a perfect match. How did y' all get up? Because it just Seemed like, like, like y' all his premiere to gangster.
Charlamagne tha God
Like, y' all sound perfectly, man.
DJ Envy
How did y' all get up?
Big Extra Plug
I mean, from what he told me, he started making beats because he heard some of my earlier music. So, like he heard the sample situations I had going in, he just went full throttle into it. And it just so happened he ended up bumping into me and we've been working ever since. So Ben Play, you know, he already was tapped in with Pre Young Dolph. Key Glove.
Angela Yee
Yep.
Big Extra Plug
And so I went on tour with Key Glock, and me and Ben Play tapped in and first BD sent me was Whippy Dude. I think that's a platinum song right now. So, yeah, that's how that happened.
Charlamagne tha God
You calling this project 6WA. And of course you hear the NWA influence. What makes this authentic homage and not just borrowing from a legendary brand.
Big Extra Plug
Because we, when we first started, we went all the way back to just like that time, you know what I'm saying? Like a scene in the movie where they was just at the studio and the police pulled up and put them all on the floor.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Big Extra Plug
When we thought of the theme, that's kind of like what we was going through. I was, I'm. I'm Texas angel right now. And here I am going to jail, back to back to back for crazy nonsense. Then you got martyrs who wrote it. He don't. He don't smoke, drink, nothing but that. He's getting in trouble, going to jail for nothing. Hood. He just. Everybody got proud. Everybody got prior situations, you know what I'm saying? And it's like they see that we are about to be able to have some type of input and they don't know if it's going to be positive or negative. So they kind of trying to narrate it they self and put this tag on us to kind of keep us from, I guess, prospering. Exactly. And so it's just a bunch of, oh, well, we arrested you because you say this in your music and because you move with these people because. So it's like, okay, but what did I do? Tell me what I did. They can't. Oh, I'm a game member. What gang am I in? I don't know. I just know you talk about a lot of gang stuff in your music. Well, I'm talking about my environment and what I came from. So if you can't understand that, if I can go to jail for making money off and talk about what I came from or where he came from or what I've seen Growing up and what. What type of. Yeah, I'm. I can't be artist now. So that's. That's where it started. But then as it went, we just. You know, when you. When you. When you want to be the good guy so bad, a lot of people make. Try to make you the bad guy. You know what I'm saying? So you got the. It's like a lot of people know that we in the. In the situation. You know, I'm saying a better situation that can help us and our family. And so they know before this rap stuff, they wouldn't dare say or do none of this stuff they do. But now that they feel like, oh, they. They up there, yeah, they got too much to lose. They ain't got no time. People say a lot, they do a lot. And we see it, we laugh at it, we never acknowledge it. And it's kind of like now we acknowledging it, you know what I'm saying? Like, we. We do so much good for the city and for the people and try to put people on, and y' all still want us to be the bad guys. Okay, forget it. Let's do it.
DJ Envy
Of course the hood loves you, right? But I noticed a lot with. With Big X to plug is crossover loves you. Yeah, I was in south by Southwest. You performing Rolling Stone.
Caller/Listener
Y.
DJ Envy
How did that feel when you started seeing it? It stepped outside of the hood and step outside of your normal.
Charlamagne tha God
Why do white people like you? That's what you trying to advocate now.
DJ Envy
How does it feel? Cuz? It's, you know, I'm looking at the crowd like it's off by Southwest. And you seeing all these white people knowing every lyric I heard.
Lauren LaRosa
Festival, yeah.
DJ Envy
Oh, my God.
Lauren LaRosa
They was going crazy for your I heart festival.
Big Extra Plug
I mean, so coming up. I used to be one of those kids that walked around with the. The mug on his face 24 7. Feel like I had something to prove. Oh, I want to be meaner than you, better than you. But you six, two, three hundred pounds, you ain't got. You ain't got to do that. You know what I'm saying? You ain't gotta do that. But I actually learned that in jail. I walked into jail thinking I'm Billy Badass, and One of the OGs walked up to me, gave me a bowling supersede. Youngster, you ain't got to do that. We know you bad. You in jail. Smile. That's what somebody. A person is gone. Either stay away or. Or mess with that person. That look like the. The happy go lucky person. When they mess with you, they're gonna mess with you and they're gonna underestimate you. They're gonna think, oh, you're just a funny guy. You ain't got nothing and you're gonna whoop their ass. Or they just not gonna approach you at all. So that's just how I move. So I guess when it comes to them, I'm smiles and. And so it makes them feel welcome, comfortable. And my dad, I've always been a yes, sir. No, sir. Yes, ma'. Am. No, ma'. Am. Him and my dad always told me that was going to take me a long way. Here we go.
Charlamagne tha God
Grandma told me the same thing. My grandma used to say, manners will take you where money won't.
Big Extra Plug
No, for sure, for sure. I don't know if that's just some down south of. I don't know. But that's. That's just how I was raised. So like I said, it got me. It got me here. I've been in rooms with people I never thought I'd be in front of, and just me saying, yes, sir, and having a firm handshake then got me a far place.
DJ Envy
Now also, I was gonna. I'm sorry, I was not as independent. So you're not signed to a major.
Angela Yee
You.
DJ Envy
What made you stay independent?
Caller/Listener
Yeah, you.
Lauren LaRosa
Independent. Through Steve Stout, right?
Big Extra Plug
Through United Masters.
Lauren LaRosa
United Masters, Yes.
DJ Envy
What made you stay independent? Opposed to.
Charlamagne tha God
We gotta go back.
DJ Envy
That laugh was for something. But what made you stay independent?
Big Extra Plug
So, boom. When I first stepped in. I'm first off, I'm not a rapper.
DJ Envy
So you got a rapper.
Charlamagne tha God
I'm not.
Big Extra Plug
I've become an artist. With me doing this? No, I wasn't even a plug. Like, yeah, I dibbled and dabbled, but my dream was I was a football player. I played football my whole life.
Charlamagne tha God
Ask you why. Why rapping? Not the Cowboys?
DJ Envy
First off, I won't play for them Cowboys, too. Giants,
Big Extra Plug
but not yet. Just when I first started off, I was a football player. Like when me and him met, we at the same high school. Most scholarships in the school, so that's the type of time I was on. But it's just, you know, when you. You go down that road and certain stuff don't work out for you, you got to try to figure it out. And I was lost for a long time. And it took for me to have my first kid. And then even when I had my first kid, I still didn't realize you got somebody depending on you. It took me to miss his first birthday for me to really Just lock in. And I had to figure something out. What I was doing. I couldn't do no more because I had made promises to my son. I'm already missed the first birthday. I can't hurt you no more than that. It just was a situation where I was just stuck. Didn't know what to do. I was doing bad, trying not to do bad. This was happening since he was 9 years old. And so when I met him, like, just as a. We. We met as friends before we knew we was related, you know, it was one of those situations where we just doing music and then your daddy see each other and they'd be like, blue, babe, what? You know, that you could. It was one of them situations. And so he. Whenever it's like, we in high school, we seniors, you know, you don't care about nothing but females. And you know what I'm saying? And at the time, it was going to college, 2016, everybody that was a senior or in high school, you wanted to go to college. And so that's what it was. It was either coochie or college. College. And for sure. And while we. We used to have this park that was by my house because I'm 16, 17, my own house. And so we used to all chill at my. Or sometimes we would go walk to the park. When we would go to the park, we with girls. While we all with them girls, conversating with them girls. He is the only standing at the top of the slide, acting like he performing in front of thousands of people. You know what I'm saying? And so. And so as time went on, and I'm asking my partners, man, what can I do? What I need to do too? And for him to say, you need to rap at first. I'm looking, I'm like, bro, you just told me you've been rapping since she was 9 years old. You right here with me still. Are you sure that's gonna work? And he was like, bro, you ain't got nothing else to do. You walk around this getting high freestyling anyway, you might as well put it to use. And thank God he did, because he'll be here.
Angela Yee
Why you didn't want to do it first? Why didn't you want to do it at first?
Big Extra Plug
Because I was a football player. That's all I knew. Yeah, that's all I knew before football. I was just an angry kid. You see what I'm saying? Like, just angry. I can't tell you why. I don't. I don't know. I was just an Angry kid. And so whenever I met football, that was like the first see, telling me I can somebody up and get away with it. I can, I got something I can channel my anger through. And so for the longest football, football got me through high school, football got me through all 16, 17 years of my first. You know what I'm saying? Like it for about my first love. So that's, that's, that's what I saw. I ain't seen nothing other than that. Yeah, not for sure. I mean, I probably still do. I just, you know, I smoke a lot of weed, so it keep me on Ritalin.
Charlamagne tha God
When you was little?
Big Extra Plug
For sure.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Big Extra Plug
But see, like when they used to put me on Ritalin, like they used to give me the full doses. So I'm going to school. Keep in mind I'm bad, I got anger problems. We don't break stuff. My. So when I was in elementary school, I slapped my teacher, you know what I'm saying? So like that's the type of spiraling I was on. So like I just remember I was elementary school. I ain't gonna lie, like now that I'm older, I'm not gonna say she did nothing. It was just, I just was a. I was a wild child. I was going back and forth from my daddy and my mom. Both my daddy and my mom was selling dope. So it's like even when I'm with my mom and my daddy, they're not really like, they caring for me, but they not paying attention to me, you know what I'm saying? And so that just kind of was the situation. Yeah.
Angela Yee
When did it change for you? Like, when did you stop being angry? And so it wasn't the rapping, was it the riddling?
DJ Envy
Okay.
Big Extra Plug
Oh, that's what I was talking about, the riddling. So boom, they put me on Ritalin because they were trying to figure out what the was wrong with me. And they used to give it to me and I used to go to school and I would, I would just take like two or three discs and lay on them and go to sleep. Sleep. But I was so bad, the teachers would be like, it's cool. Like, let, let that sleep for sure.
DJ Envy
Did you ever go back to that teacher was like, you know what? Let me, let me make right.
Big Extra Plug
No, I don't even remember her name. I just remember, like I slapped her. I had twisted her ankle. It was a lot of crazy. She chased me through the school. She slapped me back though, for sure, for sure. This was like right around that time where they had but just stop letting principals paddle kids and like that. You see what I'm saying? Like, so, yeah. So I was going back and forth from my mom and my daddy. My daddy stayed in East Texas. So East Texas is like.
Angela Yee
Like that.
Big Extra Plug
Yeah, that's the country. Country. So whenever I went and stayed with him, and I'm in Commerce elementary School and I got threatened to get paddled, you know what I'm saying? That's where that first came from. You know what I'm saying? I'm old. This is what's going on. And my daddy was like, yeah, do it. Get up, too. So I'm like, oh. But then when I go to my mama, it's like, it wasn't that she slapped my back for show, though. I slapped her, she slapped me back, and I ran around the school. She chased me.
Charlamagne tha God
I'm so glad. They wanted to put me on, really. But my daddy wouldn't let him. Daddy was like, he don't even know, really. He need his ass beat.
Big Extra Plug
No, for sure. That put me down. And that's what my daddy used to say. And they don't need no riddling. He just need his beat.
Caller/Listener
Yeah.
Big Extra Plug
And he would come give me, and I'd be right. And then it literally took for nine years old, my mama winning. Drove me all the way to Commerce, Texas, and dropped me off, like. And my daddy, though, didn't even tell him she was coming or nothing. And she was like, go knock on that door. I go knock on the door. I turn around, my bag's out the car, and she pulling off. Turn around. A big six, eight nick out the door. Like. Yeah. I had been going back and forth with my dad before, but this was like, this it. My mama couldn't do it no more. Before she took me to my dad's house, she drove me to a. Basically a youth penitentiary. It was like, get out.
Charlamagne tha God
I was like, early start.
Big Extra Plug
I'm like, hell, no, I'm. No, I'm not getting there. Okay. Bet I got something worse for you then. Took me to my dad.
Charlamagne tha God
Got you right, though.
Big Extra Plug
Not for sure. That's the best thing she ever did for me.
Lauren LaRosa
So then football, and then you get into music. Thanks, Rosama.
Big Extra Plug
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
And then. So what made you go the United Masters way? And I know I mentioned seesaw earlier. You, like, laughed a bit, like, what?
Big Extra Plug
So I went. Like I said, I look at. I'm a football player. So I looked at everything in a football mindset. So when I first started the music situation, I was like. Like, I don't Know nothing about this. So why would I put myself in a situation that I don't know? I don't like not having control or not knowing what the is going on. Yeah, like, if I'm in here right now and everybody just get up and start running, I'm gonna get mad because I'm like, why, why, why? What the. Anybody. Anybody saying? And tell me what you running. Of course I'm a runner. That's just another instinct. But once we done running and we done sat down, I'mma ask you, bro, why the ain't just tell me what was going on so I could have knew. You just got me driving, so that's. That's me. I just don't. I don't like doing stuff that I don't know what I'm doing. It was crazy. I had a manager at the time. He my uncle. I'm gonna tell the real. He ended up giving me 20,000. You know what I'm saying? Like, now that's not a big amount of money. He's still married to my. He ain't not even my uncle about. Yeah, he might go about marriage, but he's still around. We. At the end of the day, I don't really. I was with him at first, but at the end of the day, it's like, you really saved me because he was the one that was like. Like, man, if you. I feel like if we really just do this, I know you already. He the one who put it in that mindset because he knew I had a football mindset. So he like, look at it as this is a juco. Like, you don't want to go to no D1 college and you don't start or you get red shirted. Now you don't wasted a year of your life, you know, wasted your time. Go somewhere where you can be a factor, make a name for yourself. And you're building at the same time now. The masses was the way and at this time.
Lauren LaRosa
So like Rosama and all the crew, are they still along with you or you started building that?
Big Extra Plug
So nobody else was here. It was just me and Ro. Me, Roll juice, my assistant network, my road manager. Now this is my day ones. It was just us. I mean, even when I did it, like, to me it was big. But now I look back on it, it wouldn't. The money, the situation. Like, I done got me a little, what, 125 bag. And I'm coming to my people. Like, come on, we're gonna go to the mall. I'm gonna buy y' all we're gonna go crazy. And this one, I knew that they was my real friends because when we got to that mall, they was like, is you crazy, nigga? Whatever. You was gonna buy me? Go buy that. Go buy some clothes for you, son. Like, go. Go do that. I'm good. I'm good. And so if that first bag, then nobody touched that but me and my family and that second bag. My granny told me all those boys that been around you and that's been taking care of you and making sure you straight. Bless that game.
DJ Envy
It's dope with Ro. Because it was Ro's dream.
Big Extra Plug
Yeah.
DJ Envy
And you kind of just took it as, ah, this is playful effort. And it took off that, you know, you and Rose stayed together because I think most people might have felt a little jealous. And you took off before me, so. So how was that and how weren't you jealous of us? Because most artists would have been like, damn, that was my dream.
Big Extra Plug
That was my cause. He know I want this. Yeah, he already know, man. He just doing what he got to do. I know he gonna get me in the door. And once he get me in the door.
Caller/Listener
Yeah.
Big Extra Plug
I'm not. Like I said, I'm not no rapper. I don't want to do this, but I'd rather be a CEO. I'm trying to still right now.
Angela Yee
Big ass.
Big Extra Plug
It's too much. Come with it.
Angela Yee
What about it that you. You don't really effort like that. Like, what is it really?
Big Extra Plug
Everything.
Angela Yee
The attention.
Big Extra Plug
And I. I ain't never. That's never been me. Like, I don't get me wrong, in high school, we was always. But it was just always like. I. I also come from a different. Just background. So it's like you don't really want too many people in your business. Like, everybody in the world know my government name and half the world know my address on some crazy like this. That's. That's not me. But then it's also just. This is a very, very, very weird industry. And it's a lot of very, very, very weird people in it. And. Yeah, and it's like you either adjust to it or you fall into it. But those people that adjust to it, they the ones that go through it the most because they still trying to stay true to themselves. Those ones that fall into it and dibble and dab, and those be the ones end up doing dope or end up. You know what I'm saying? That ain't. That ain't me, that ain't us.
DJ Envy
What's the Weirdest thing that you've seen in the industry that you was like, nah, this ain't for me.
Charlamagne tha God
Diddy party.
Big Extra Plug
Nah, I ain't never been to a diddy party, but I definitely want to go to one. But, like, not on. Like, they said, it's like three different stages.
Angela Yee
Yeah, please explain.
Lauren LaRosa
Go ahead, because I know what you mean.
Charlamagne tha God
City. Hold on. She's been there before.
Lauren LaRosa
She used to work.
Big Extra Plug
You used to work the diddy party?
Lauren LaRosa
I work here. Well, okay.
Big Extra Plug
She said, I work here.
Lauren LaRosa
Explain the stages, and then I'll explain.
Big Extra Plug
Well, I don't. I've never been, so I can't really. I'm just going based off of what I've heard. But I heard, like, the. It's like the. The first step is the meet and greet. Everybody, each other. The second one. The second one is where you kind of, like, start removing the. You know what I'm saying? Hey, it's gonna go down. You might want to leave. Yeah, yeah, That's. That's like. That's. That's like the end of the second quarter.
Nyla Simone
Yeah.
Angela Yee
End of the second quarter.
Big Extra Plug
And then that third. That third quarter is. Yeah.
Angela Yee
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
I didn't. Like a regular.
State Farm Announcer

Big Extra Plug
I mean, I wouldn't say I dj the Diddy party either. Cause that mean you dj butt naked. You don't even.
DJ Envy
What's the weirdest thing that you've seen that you was like, nah, this ain't. This industry ain't for me.
Big Extra Plug
I mean, if we being honest, I kind of like I'm a reader, you know what I'm saying? Like I saw. I can kind of notice if you weird or not before I even. You know what I'm saying? So I kind of. That keep me out of situations. And what keep me out a lot of situations is I don't go nowhere but myself.
Caller/Listener
Yeah.
Big Extra Plug
So like anywhere I go, I take them. And so they kind of. It saved me in a lot of situations. So like when Grammy parties be coming, they'd be like, oh, it's all white party. It's gonna be live. I'm like, all right, I can bring my people. Right?
Lauren LaRosa
Just you even at your point, your level right now?
Big Extra Plug
Yeah, for sure.
Caller/Listener
What?
Big Extra Plug
That's how I know they be doing.
Charlamagne tha God
Crazy trying to get me alone.
Big Extra Plug
Because there's certain parties where they be like, oh yeah, big, come on. Oh yeah, you're good. And then it's. It's always the, the parties. That's a color white all gray party. You know what I'm saying? Like those are the ones where they like, oh, no, it's just you. No, I'm just to trying. I'm good. I don't need to go there.
Angela Yee
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
Outside of just like, I can do it too. What do you want people to take from the movement that you're building?
Big Extra Plug
Kind of just like I said, just going back to the original things. Like, because at the end of the day it's a certain thing is freedom of speech and like that. So it's like we can't. Even though we shouldn't be having to point back at those things because I mean they in the constitute like they. You know what I'm saying? Like this is in big ass books in the White House that we all learned all through school. And now y' all telling me that I'm a registered game. I'm A high ranking registered gang member of no gang. Because of what I'm saying in my raps. They go back to the whole Young Thug case. They ended up playing all his music and so on and so on. Can't do that.
Angela Yee
I see you got Snoop and DLC on album. How that came. How did the collaborations come about?
Big Extra Plug
We just know we need it. Like, we can't. We couldn't do like a. A West coast themed project and not have validation from the West Coast. Not for sure. For sure. So we went Snoop first. Snoop, and he was the one that was like, man, y' all gotta get dlc man D from Dallas. I mean, they. We had like, some of my people had already spoke on it, but I was just like, we need somebody that's gone because I know DLC not from west, you know.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Big Extra Plug
So I'm like, nah, we need somebody that's West Coast. But when we talked to Snoop and Snoop was like, you got to get dlc. And that. That's. He is exactly what y' all doing. And so it was just a given. He. He got that raspberry voice on there. Yeah, he did what he had to do.
Charlamagne tha God
What type of inspiration did the DLC provide for y' all coming up? Or is that way too? That's two before y' all coming.
Big Extra Plug
Yeah, I was gonna say that's. That's more his era. But the dlc, like, I grew up on, I know. I know about it.
Nyla Simone
You know what I'm saying?
Big Extra Plug
The formula. So, like, I was just. I had just. I had broken up to bro. Like, we should bring, you know, because he's from Oak Cliff, Texas, you know what I'm saying? He's same thing how Ro was doing with. Helping with the. With the writing. So some of them greatest tracks that you ever heard was because of bro, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. So, like, it all. It all come in in order, you know what I'm saying? From we just going off like, that's. That's where it come from. The laws with us being arrested for nothing. Just like how they was arrested, bro. I've been arrested. Just chilling because the police is just attacking us, you know what I'm saying? My brother being attacked right now. All of us in some type of fashion or form, you know what I'm saying? So we're just getting on the track and tell them what they don't want to hear. Like going against the grind either. Had it 11 y' all already going against it anyway.
DJ Envy
Yeah, I know. They did an interview One time, and you were saying, ro help with the largest. You're helping writing hooks. So when y' all recording, do y' all all in the studio together throwing ideas against the wall?
Big Extra Plug
Oh, yeah. We literally get a big ass house somewhere. Ducked off and maybe 12, 13 bedrooms. All my artists, all my producers, my A's. We all just stay in the same house. We wake up, go to sleep together, and we just vibe whatever happens, not together.
DJ Envy
Nobody was taking that role
Big Extra Plug
and let you know where his mind at. And I also want to let y' all know, he had me in the bathroom trying to reverse my draws. Cause he done told me my drawers was inside out.
Angela Yee
Come on.
Lauren LaRosa
Come on, Russ.
Big Extra Plug
Hey, but wait, wait, wait.
DJ Envy
I need.
Big Extra Plug
But wait, wait, wait. So.
Lauren LaRosa
What that means outside the bathroom when you got here?
Big Extra Plug
Yeah. So what that mean? That mean he was looking at my ass, right? And this is my cousin. Hey, this crazy. I don't know what he talking about.
Charlamagne tha God
Just your drawers on.
Big Extra Plug
What's crazy? No, no, no, no, no. He sounds like, yeah, I'm a big bent over. The top of my shoes probably came out. Yeah, but they wouldn't, though. I done went to the bag, and I'm a big. So you know what I'm saying? I done went there. I had to take my shoes off, man. I went and took my shoes off. I done took my pants all the way out. Now I thought about it. I said, I can't just leave my pants right here on the floor. Cause they gonna think something going on. So now I'm holding my pants while I'm trying to check my jaws. Because I don't want to take my jaws all the way out.
State Farm Announcer
Was it a mirror in there?
Big Extra Plug
I'm gonna tell you you about the star. Cause how did you see I'm flexible?
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Big Extra Plug
I looked between my legs. I pulled my drawers there. Look between my legs. I can see if the tag.

Big Extra Plug
So now somebody else looking at my ass.
State Farm Announcer (Alternate)
And that's my.
Big Extra Plug
In the message, bro. You see what I'm saying? That's my cousin. He didn't protect me. That's crazy. You let them look at my ass, and then you proceeded to look at my ass with him.
Charlamagne tha God
Damn. No, I didn't.
Big Extra Plug
I just told you.
Charlamagne tha God
That's like you having a boogie, you know, they.
Big Extra Plug
It's a Boogie, you know, cuz he
Angela Yee

Charlamagne tha God
That's not the same thing. That's the same.
Big Extra Plug
You shouldn't even be looking below my waist to even see that. My driver. I relayed the message. That's something. Like when I. That's something you get. You get in trouble about when you come and like, what's crazy, I got scared. Like, it was my woman or something of it, bro.
Charlamagne tha God
I got scared.
Big Extra Plug
He was my one.
Charlamagne tha God
What you mean my drive?
Big Extra Plug
No, no, my job. I don't know what he talking about.

DJ Envy

Lauren LaRosa
I'm the homegirl that knows a little bit about everything.
Charlamagne tha God
She be having the latest on this,
Big Extra Plug
the Latest with Lauren LaRosa.
Charlamagne tha God
Sometimes you have facts, sometimes you have details. Sometimes you have a little bit of everything.
DJ Envy
Oh, it's the latest brought to you
Charlamagne tha God
by Top Dog Law on the Breakfast Club. Talk to me.
Lauren LaRosa
All right, y'.
State Farm Announcer
All.
Lauren LaRosa
So we talked about Lotto and her announcement of her pregnancy through music in the last latest. And it made me think about last night. Y' all saw everybody like, a lot of drinks. Drake drinks. Drake's camp turned their, like, Instagram ads and all that to Iceman.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
Did anybody else think the Iceman was gonna drop today? I did, and it's not dropping. Like, at what point are we gonna, like, stop caring? Because he keeps teasing us and we don't get the music.
Angela Yee
It.
Lauren LaRosa
Go ahead, Charlemagne.
Charlamagne tha God
I got my hand in there.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, God. You about to say what? You've been stopped, Karen.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, I didn't care at all because I didn't even see that. Just want to throw that out.
Lauren LaRosa
I saw it.
DJ Envy
I thought it was why did you call on him?
Caller/Listener
Yeah.
DJ Envy
I thought we were finally.
Lauren LaRosa
I thought we were finally getting Ice Man. I just wanted to mention that because I know Lotto had to clear up some things. People thinking Drake was writing for her,
Charlamagne tha God
but anyway, I just want to remind people that Iceman is a gay superhero by the name of Bobby Drake. You know, I'm a comic book head,
Lauren LaRosa
so, you know, we can be in inclusive.
Charlamagne tha God
His name is Bobby Drake in the comics, and he's actually a gay superhero. So I just want to throw that out there.
Angela Yee
For real.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes. All right, so I can't wait until he puts the album out, because I. I just want to know. Do I now?
Angela Yee
I want to know what's up with Bobby Drake. Like, wait, how you save people? How he talk? Like, what is giving?
Charlamagne tha God
He's Iceman. He turns his body into ice, and he rides around on ice slide. He can make an ice slide to ride around on.
Lauren LaRosa
He had a boyfriend?
Charlamagne tha God
Yes.
Angela Yee
Oh, my God.
DJ Envy
What do you think he does?
Angela Yee
I mean, I'm just like. Like, how do you really portray being gay as a superhero? Like, what happened happens. He pulls out offers, Let them cross the street. I don't know.
Lauren LaRosa
Well, if we ever get the project we. We make, Mike can answer some of these questions. I don't know. But I was just annoyed because I thought it was coming today and then nothing happened.
Charlamagne tha God
I don't know. Comic book head. Like, I want to know. I just want to know why that character. Why Iceman Bobby? Because the bar is about to be cold, baby.
DJ Envy
Drake. I'm sorry. Because it says Drake.
Lauren LaRosa
All right.
Charlamagne tha God
Are you a frozen fraggle maggot? Which one?
Lauren LaRosa
In other news. Moving on. So big news out of the Bachelor world today. A Bachelorette world today, the show on abc, because they have decided to cancel this upcoming season of the Bachelorette, which was supposed to air this Sunday.
DJ Envy
Crazy.
Lauren LaRosa
Okay, now this is crazy because first of all, this is a huge franchise, right? So for them to just pull the whole season, you know, something had to go down. So this season, the Bachelorette was supposed to be Taylor, Frankie Paul. Paul, who is on the House the Mormon Housewives show as well, too. And when she was on that show, that show and. And her participation on that show was based around her, one of her child's fathers and ex boyfriends, Dakota Mortenson. Right? So they on that show have a history of just a really rocky relationship. Domestic violence claims, claims of like, you know, Dakota has called children, uh, protective services on Taylor, claiming that she's injured her. Their children. Like all these Right.
DJ Envy
So they didn't vet this, right?
Lauren LaRosa
No. The Bachelor, the franchise, Bachelor, Bachelorette. There's no way that they vetted this. Right? Because it. It's not like an unknown thing. The claims from the Mormon housewife show, right. Has. Have been happening for almost, like two months now. So, anyway, Taylor was doing press up until this week, and then TMZ released a video from a altercation that Taylor and Dakota got into back in 2023. Now, trigger warning, uh, this video, it, like, the sound that you're going to hear is very intense. And her baby gets hit by a stool. So you hear a baby crying as well, too. Let's take a listen.
State Farm Announcer
This is called physical abuse.
Caller/Listener
See, Taylor, this is all you do. It's the only thing you know how
Charlamagne tha God
to do is hurt me. Huh? And you think this is okay? Your daughter is right here.
Lauren LaRosa
You are.
Charlamagne tha God
You're.
Big Extra Plug
You did that.
Charlamagne tha God
Stop, man.
DJ Envy
Yeah, she went to throw the chair at him.
Lauren LaRosa
I'm explaining.
DJ Envy
You missed. Hit the daughter, dumbass.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, no. I'm pulling out the. I'm pulling out the hammer.
Angela Yee
Like, what's up with you?
Charlamagne tha God
I'm pulling out the hammer.
DJ Envy
It's the third chair she threw.
Caller/Listener
Weird ass.
DJ Envy
The third one missed him.
Charlamagne tha God
That's the woman.
DJ Envy
The woman got a chair.
Lauren LaRosa
The woman, woman, she threw three chairs. So listen. Yeah, so she threw.
Caller/Listener
She threw.
Lauren LaRosa
It was like the metal stools, you know, you have the bar stools. So she threw two.
Charlamagne tha God
Miss.
Lauren LaRosa
Missed him, and he was standing over by the couch. The second time she throws the stool, he's telling her, like, yo, chill, your daughter's over here. They have a son together, and then she has a daughter. Then she throws another stool. And like, he's filming on his iPhone, camera as much as he can, and the camera goes down.
Charlamagne tha God
But put the phone down and block the stools from hitting the baby.
Lauren LaRosa
No, the. I think he was. I think the reason why he was not me. Think. I know. He's filming because he's alleged multiple times that when all these allegations come up of domestic violence within the couple. Fool. That she's the aggressor. Now she's telling a different story. She's saying that, like, he's the aggressor.
DJ Envy
That video. She's the aggressor.
Lauren LaRosa
Even in this video, though, in. In the beginning of the video, you hear her say, you threw me down. And she's alleging that she was thrown down to the floor before the video cut on.
DJ Envy
Or what he's recording shows her kicking him. She throws One stool, Mrs. Still the second stool Mrs. And he's saying, your daughter's right here. Chill out. Third chair. You don't see the chair hit her. All you hear is boop. And then you just start seeing her cry.
Angela Yee
You know, a baby cry. Like a certain baby cry. She got hit.
Charlamagne tha God
And that's what's her reaction when the baby gets hit.
Lauren LaRosa
She's like, that's her child.
Charlamagne tha God
Right?
Caller/Listener
Yeah.
DJ Envy
Blaming it on him.
Angela Yee
Cuz she know the camera's rolling so she blaming it on him.
DJ Envy
And just so you know, on abc, they talk about the five shows that generate the most money, Right. And one is high potential, one is 911, the other is the Rookie, the other is Monday Night Football. And then there's the Bachelor, Bachelorette. So the fact that they canceled that, it's huge.
Lauren LaRosa
So. So, okay, I want to say, speaking of the cancellation, right, because again, she was doing press up until the day before this video dropped. So the, that franchise was still going to push forward knowing all this was happening in the media. The show costs around $2 million per episode, reportedly.
Nyla Simone
Right.
Lauren LaRosa
And they have a few episodes that they begin to shoot from reporting. According to tmz, who has been speaking to a source close to this whole franchise, they had one episode that was like completely done, that was supposed to air this Sunday, another that they were editing, and then some others that they were going to like get together. But my thing is like you're. I don't understand what the vetting process is, but I know that she was a big star on that Mormon's Wives show, right?
Angela Yee
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
And they wanted to like this franchise, wanted to like revitalize the brand, bring it back. Like it's supposed to be a fresh start, younger, you know, it's a new day that it's airing and, and all of this happens and they keep her in the press the whole week. Like she's dodging questions about all these allegations all weekend in this video and they pull the full season.
Angela Yee
So she should just a bad look for that. Yeah, that's crazy.
DJ Envy
And somebody, somebody said TMZ put that video out, huh?
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, TMZ broke this, the video via their website. And they say that it was the evidence in the case that had happened.
Angela Yee
And then it's also said that her and her ex had slept together like, like the night before she even was supposed to leave for the Bachelorette. So like, it's just a whole toxic dynamic.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, it's very weird. Yeah.
Angela Yee
But the season won't happen together to hurting your baby, you know what I'm saying? Fighting. And now look. Bachelorette. No episode. That's a lot of money wasted.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Angela Yee
Production.
DJ Envy
That is the latest for Lauren.
Lauren LaRosa
Yes. It's brought to us by Top Dog Law. Any accident, big or small, law called Top Doc Law.
DJ Envy
And salute to Lauren. Lauren asked me to do a. A mix, right? Because she wanted to talk about the verses between Tyrese and Tank, and she wanted me. I ain't got that many Tyrese and Tank records in my laptop.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, my God.
Angela Yee
It's like four or five. Like five or six.
Lauren LaRosa
Like a piece.
Charlamagne tha God
What about Lauren versus Poltergeist this morning? Being that she's dressed like.
DJ Envy
I want to talk about.
Charlamagne tha God
We gotta wrap up. Was my last.
Lauren LaRosa
I don't know how to shut up.
Charlamagne tha God
All right, it's the Breakfast Club donkey.
Big Extra Plug
It's your time to nominate a donkey of your own.
Charlamagne tha God
Remember now, that's is how they choose. Call in now.
DJ Envy
800-585-1051.
Charlamagne tha God
Listen, Donkey. Today for Friday, March 20th is the People's Donkey. This is where I allow folks to call in and give people the credit they deserve for being stupid. But before I do that, I want to give you an update date. Okay? Remember on Monday, I gave Rebel Wilson's PR team donkey of the day, in particular, a digital fixer named Jed Wallace and an entertainment publicist named Melissa Nathan. Because according to the Hollywood Reporter, there was leaked audio that revealed a plot by Rebel Wilson's PR team to smear a movie producer. Yes. As a sex trafficker. Y' all remember that, right? If you don't hear the leak, call. Listen, here's the.
State Farm Announcer
The deal with Rebel, and I think you, me and.
Big Extra Plug
And Brian and maybe Katie since she'll write this thing. What we have to do is we mo.
State Farm Announcer
The biggest piece here is that we
Big Extra Plug
have to connect Amanda Ghost with Vnick. And I. I was just like, so basically what we need to do is we need to create a path where we expose Amanda Ghost. Amanda Ghost is like the new Heidi Fl. Like, she.
State Farm Announcer
She masquerades as a. The reason why she sucks so bad at music.
Big Extra Plug
Music is because she's actually getting hookers for Vlotnik, right?
State Farm Announcer
And that's what she does.
Big Extra Plug
She's a. She's a.
State Farm Announcer
She's an absolute madam, and that's why she's so lethal.
Caller/Listener
Blah, blah, blah.
Big Extra Plug
But that's.
State Farm Announcer
He's right.
Big Extra Plug
Like, we can't just do, like, oh, she's a. She sucks. It's like, it's got to be really,
State Farm Announcer
really heavy and connected to something that heavy.
Big Extra Plug
So we'll talk about that tomorrow, too.
Charlamagne tha God
They were trying to smear her as a sex trafficker. Now, if you need more content, context to that leaked call, here's Kevin Clancy of Barstool explaining, for those of us who graduated in night school, because we got left back once or twice. All right, we got big drama coming
DJ Envy
out of Hollywood as Rebel Wilson's PR team allegedly attempted to execute a smear campaign saying that a Hollywood producer was a sex trafficker, despite the fact that they had no evidence. This is a big deal because that PR firm, the agency group, also represented Drake, Johnny Depp. Depp and Justin Baldoni. So that is now four celebrities involved in very high profile public disputes where the opposite side is getting smeared versus Kendrick, Johnny Depp versus Amber Heard, and Justin Baldoni versus Blake Lively. Those are three examples where Internet slander was a huge piece of their PR campaign. And now it makes me wonder if this PR firm is just making this up.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes, I think they are. But I just want to give you all an update. Okay? Rebel Wilson released a statement on Instagram, and she said she had planned to stay quiet and wait, wait to take the stand, but said an absolute bombardment from heavily paid crisis PR firms made it impossible to say nothing. Well, Rebel must be taking a page out of Melissa Nathan and Jed Wallace's playbook, because they have said absolutely nothing. Not one word. They haven't said anything. A crisis PR firm like Agency Group, Melissa Nathan and Jed Wallace haven't said anything, and they are being accused of attempting to smear a movie producer as a sex trafficker, and they haven't said a word. You can allegedly create narratives to destroy other people's, you know, reputations, but can't think of anything to save your own?
Caller/Listener
Hmm.
Charlamagne tha God
I want to double down this morning. Please let Remy Ma give them the biggest Hee Haw again this week.
Lauren LaRosa
You stupid mother.
Angela Yee
Are you dumb?
Charlamagne tha God
Now it's time to let the people give folks the biggest Hee Haw. Good morning. Who's this?
State Farm Announcer
Good morning.
Caller/Listener
This is Mia. I'm calling in from Philly.
Charlamagne tha God
Hey, Mia. From Philly.
Angela Yee
Hey, Grand.
Charlamagne tha God
Who you want to get the biggest he haw to?
Caller/Listener
Mayor Cheryl Parker.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, Mayor Sherrod. Why you giving the mayor of Philly donkey? What she do?
Caller/Listener
Let's start with. She put speed bumps on every street in Philly. It's tearing people cars up.
Charlamagne tha God
Speed bumps.
Caller/Listener
Speed bumps on every street in Philly. It's tearing people cars up. People are getting flat tires daily.
Charlamagne tha God
But. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. But that means you must be speeding.
Caller/Listener
No, I'M not speeding. Let me finish on that. Okay, the second part is you can't go over 25 miles per hour on Broad Street. People are getting $100 ticket every day.
Charlamagne tha God
I'm gonna be honest with you. I don't know what's going on in Philly, but it sounds to me like y' all be speeding up and down streets. And so the man. The man slowed y' all down.
Caller/Listener
No. And she's raising up. She casting the Uber rides for people.
Charlamagne tha God
She canceling the Uber rides.
Caller/Listener
Keep taxing them.
Angela Yee
Taxing.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, taxing them. Oh, okay, Okay. I don't know. Okay.
Caller/Listener
I don't remember that additional tax on Uber and Lyft ride.
Charlamagne tha God
I don't know about that, but I do need to tell you. Speed.
Caller/Listener
Yeah, and there's a soda tech. They already. They already taxing us for the soda tax for the schools. Now she's saying the Uber and Lyft tax is for the schools. What are y' all doing with this soda tax money?
Charlamagne tha God
The soda tax is good because, you know, there was a. There was a time where Philly was the fattest city in America. That's not. I don't think that's the case no more. But there was a time.
Caller/Listener
Time. All the tax money is for the school. Where is that money? Where's that money at? Why are we paying an additional tax for Uber and lift now?
Charlamagne tha God
Damn.
Angela Yee
I did not know the mayor control that.
Charlamagne tha God
I didn't know the mayor controlled Uber and Lift either.
Caller/Listener
Well, she's adding. She's taxing. Adding an additional tax on that.
Charlamagne tha God
I wonder if the additional tax is coming because of the high gas prices. I. I don't know if that. I don't. I mean, I don't know if it's because of the mayor or not. I don't know.
Caller/Listener
This was. This was implemented maybe about two or three weeks ago.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, okay. Okay. Well, listen, can we go back to the speed bump thing? I just want you to know that speed bumps only cause flat tires. When you drive over the speed bumps at high. At high rates of speed.
Caller/Listener
No, this is the thing with the speed bump. They're rubber speed bumps, so when they lift up from other people, from other people driving over them stairs, there's big nails and studs. So when somebody like me drive over the speed bump, I'm gonna get a flat tire.
Angela Yee
I did see somebody complaining about this on Tick Tock. Yeah. Yeah, I don't like that. Yeah, on.
Caller/Listener
It's tearing people, cars up. Everything already high. Now we got buy new tires.
Charlamagne tha God
Damn.
Angela Yee
I'm sorry, baby girl.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, I know this is affecting you because you sound like you about to rap. You sound like you about to say, we still have to tell the sun come up it's a cold winter
State Farm Announcer
turning
Caller/Listener
a beanie right now.
Angela Yee
That's right.
Charlamagne tha God
Damn.
Angela Yee
You sound like meek right now.
Charlamagne tha God
Well, salute to everybody in Philadelphia, man. Mayor Cheryl Parker, your constituents are upset with you this morning. Okay. Good morning. Who's this?
Caller/Listener
Yeah, Detroit.
Charlamagne tha God
Hey, Tia from Detroit. What up, though?
Caller/Listener
What up, though?
Charlamagne tha God
Who you want to get the biggest he haw to?
Caller/Listener
I want to give it to Envy.
Charlamagne tha God
Okay.
Caller/Listener
And I'm going tell you why. Like, a while back, the post office was claiming back then that they were running out of money, just like they're doing right now. And he made a lot of comments about how he doesn't use the mail and how, you know, basically nobody really uses it anymore. And I just wanted your viewers to know, understand that the post office is the only entity that goes to every single.
Charlamagne tha God
Every single one. Every single what?
Caller/Listener
Every single house.
Charlamagne tha God
Okay. Got you, got you, got you.
Caller/Listener
So what that means is when you order from ups, Amazon, dhl, whoever else, a lot of times they drop the packages off to us to take it the final mile.
Charlamagne tha God
Got you.
Caller/Listener
And because we're not a business and we are a service, and we're not supposed to turn a profit, we don't charge that much. So what that means is, if we are gone, that could raise the cost of delivery 140%.
State Farm Announcer
Wow.
Caller/Listener
Now, not only that, I can't even tell you how many times I've been doing this for 10 years that I had to do wellness checks on people. Because the elderly live alone, and because we're at that house every single day, you notice when someone is not doing the same thing they normally do, like, they're not coming outside or whatever, I got customers that actually save people's lives. I've even helped the Erica Lee man who. Who tripped and fell and hit his head when he was walking his dog. I think we're valuable.
Charlamagne tha God
I agree in a lot of ways
Caller/Listener
that people don't know that we are, you know, but we love our customers. I would like to think that a lot of our customers love us, and I just want people to understand that it's not just me.
Charlamagne tha God
You're 100% right. Listen, I appreciate public. I appreciate postal service workers, man. Y' all are public servants, if you ask me. So we. We appreciate your service. You done pissed off all the postal workers. Envy.
DJ Envy
No, what I said was. I said a Lot of people don't use the post office. And that's true because that's why they're having a hard time with some of the. The money that they're bringing.
Charlamagne tha God
She was saying that's not true because she said that they're always. She said they're the only entity that goes to everybody's individual house. So she said sometimes those people, like, I guess, I don't know, she said FedEx or whoever, they'll give them the package just to drop off and go to.
DJ Envy
Mimi said the other day. Mimi just reported this a day ago when she. She said the post office is not bringing in the revenue that it was before because a lot of people are not using the post Office. They're using UPS, they're using FedEx. They're using all these other places. And when she said that, I said, well, then we should raise the price of, you know, sending things through the post office. The one thing about the post office, there's so many different post office branches closer than FedEx and UPS. I respect it. I love all the post offices.
Charlamagne tha God
Post office people say they gonna bite you when they see you, the same way dogs be biting them. They say when they see your little beige ass, you getting big.
Angela Yee
They save lives. She saved the old man, huh? That's what the lady said. She saved the old man.
DJ Envy
Salute to all the post office workers out there.
Charlamagne tha God
We love you, man.
DJ Envy
And not only that, the post office is a place where. When you got. When you need to get your passport stuff, they do all of the pictures and handle all that at the.
Angela Yee
And if you need a P.O. box show, you can go in, want nobody know your address. A whole bunch of junk mail.
DJ Envy
But I love all the post office worker. Salute to you guys. Definitely appreciate it. I never switch up.
Charlamagne tha God
You claimed a side and actually you chose the side.
DJ Envy
That's how I started the mixtape game back in the day. I was sending everything COD through the post office before nobody asked. Boy, I mess with the post office. I. I just don't use it as much. But yeah, I mess with them. All right, now it's Friday, so you know what that means.
Charlamagne tha God
It's freaky, freaky, freaky Friday.
DJ Envy
Have you ever had some sex with your first cousin?
Charlamagne tha God
First of all, give us stop doing that, man. Yes, man. Stop making people think we stupid people
Angela Yee
riding with their kids.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes. Don't do that. You're a grown man. You 48 years old. That is the question. I'm just saying the question came from somewhere. We just ain't pull that out Our ass. Mimi Brown, who does front page news, reported his story earlier, and she had this to say. Oh,
Angela Yee
they ain't got it in the state of Florida. They trying to pass a bill where they make it illegal legal to marry.
Charlamagne tha God
And I do not want to hear just explain
Mimi Brown
headline out of Florida. That's getting a lot of attention this morning. So a bill in Florida that would have banned people from marrying their first cousin has failed?
Caller/Listener
Yes.
Mimi Brown
Lawmakers voted it down in the state senate, meaning for now, that kind of marriage is still legal in Florida. The bill would have blocked people from marrying, marrying anyone closely related on their grandparents or through their grandparents. So basically, your first cousin supporters say there are plenty of other options out there. You don't need to date in the family. And this may not be over. Florida lawmakers say the issue could come back for, for another vote.
Charlamagne tha God
So the Florida bill to ban marrying first cousins failed to pass.
DJ Envy
So we're asking 800-585-1051. This, this sounds crazy to us. Heard of this?
Charlamagne tha God
Yes. Does this upset you that this bill to marry your first cousin failed to pass?
DJ Envy
But we're asking, have you married your first cousin? Had you had relations with your first cousin first?
Charlamagne tha God
Now, let's discuss first.
Angela Yee
I don't know how many people that y' all going to get the color P be like, yeah, if it, if
DJ Envy
it failed, that means people are doing it first.
Charlamagne tha God
Your auntie's child. Okay, 800, that's it.
DJ Envy
Five, 1051. You can stay anonymous.
Charlamagne tha God
I need to stay anonymous.
DJ Envy
I will. All right, let's talk about. It's the Breakfast Club. Come on.
Charlamagne tha God
Is Freaky Friday.
DJ Envy
It's freaky.
Charlamagne tha God
Call in now.
DJ Envy
800-585-1051.
Lauren LaRosa
Hey, look, we're on my freak.
Big Extra Plug
We want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club.
DJ Envy
Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy. Just hilarious. Charlemagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Now, if you're just joining us, it's Friday. So you know what that means.
Charlamagne tha God
It's freaky, freaky freaky Friday.
DJ Envy
And the freaky, freaky, freaky Friday question is 800-585-1051. Are you having sex with your first cousin?
Charlamagne tha God
By the way, we didn't just make this up. Mimi Brown called. Mimi Brown was doing front page news, and she was telling us about the Florida bill to ban marrying first cousins. Failing to pass.
Angela Yee
Exactly.
Lauren LaRosa
That's what I said.
Angela Yee
You're gonna say you don't want to hear me explain it. I said it's a bill.
DJ Envy
No, you said something about Bill Cosby.
Angela Yee
No, I did.
Charlamagne tha God
Yo, I don't know what you said, but the Florida bill to be marrying her first cousin failed to pass in the Florida Senate. So clearly there's people upset about this. There's people out here who wanted to be having sex with their first cousins, wanted to marry their first cousins. Now, you know, I've heard about this type of stuff before, but not first cousins. That just sounds like you might, you know, be with somebody in a small town and somebody be like, you know, y' all cousins, right? But it's like, down, down, down the line. But your auntie child, your uncle child. That's nasty.
DJ Envy
It don't sound like your kids. Don't make it normal after that. It don't sound like your kids can be normal.
Charlamagne tha God
They're gonna come out like you. What didn't you say. What'd you say earlier, Jeff?
Angela Yee
I said, oh, now you want to hear me talk?
DJ Envy
All right.
Angela Yee
So when I was going to high school, I said, white people did that because I went to school with a lot of them.
Charlamagne tha God
That's not the one I wanted. I wanted what you said. Envy and gear look alike. See what I'm saying? See what I'm saying? I'm not even the one I want.
Angela Yee
Yeah. Yo, yo, you and your wife look just alike.
DJ Envy
She from Brooklyn.
Angela Yee
But you don't know that, though.
Charlamagne tha God
I do never know.
DJ Envy
I do know that we not no damn cousins. Like, what's wrong with you?
Angela Yee
I'm just saying.
DJ Envy
And we don't look alike. We just light skinned.
Angela Yee
Nah, y' all do favor?
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, my God, you favor, Chris.
Angela Yee
No, I don't.
Charlamagne tha God
I ain't going to lie. That little. That little one that your. Your. Your daughter got engaged to. Y' all need to check his, too. He might be a Casey. Make sure they ain't one of your uncle kids.
DJ Envy
Man, let's go to this.
Caller/Listener
Hey, this Alex. It's Alexis from Louisiana.
DJ Envy
Alexis, you been having sex with your cousins?
Charlamagne tha God
Absolutely.
Caller/Listener
Heck, no, I ain't having sex with my cousin. I got.
State Farm Announcer (Alternate)

Teens between the ages of 13 to 17 are automatically put into a protective experience. That means they get built in content settings for what they see, contact limits on who can contact them, and time management tools like daily time limit reminders, as well as sleep mode, which mutes notifications from 10pm to 7am plus. Teens under 16 need a parent's permission to change any of these settings. Not just a tee. The band tee from the last show your favorite band ever played. You wore it everywhere. Then your girlfriend started wearing it, which was cool, until she dumped you and took it with her, which was not so cool. Anyway, now you're on ebay, and there it is. Same tee from the same tour, still living in your memory, rent free forever. See, the things you love have a way of finding their way back to you. But ebay isn't just for getting what your ex stole back. It's also for that rare championship foul ball you caught, then heroically gave it to the kid next to you. And where else are you going to find your first car, the one you wish you never sold, but now finally get the chance to take back home for good this time. You know, I'm a collector of cars, and sometimes I'm looking for the right rim that I had when I was a kid. Yeah, it might have been 20 years ago, but I want that same feeling. And the only way I can find it is on ebay. Shop ebay for millions of fines, each with a story. EBay. Things people love.
Charlamagne tha God
Why so?
Caller/Listener
I don't know. It's been going on for years. And it's suspected that they got kids together, but the family just rested under the table.
Charlamagne tha God
Can I ask a question?
Caller/Listener
What?
Charlamagne tha God
Are the kids, you know, off? Are the kids, you know, are the kids, you know, do they have all
DJ Envy
their fingers and toes?
Charlamagne tha God
Everything?
Angela Yee
Can they talk?
Caller/Listener
I don't know about little learning disabilities, but they be crashing out.
Charlamagne tha God
They be crashing out.
DJ Envy
Yeah, that's it. That's the reason why I.
Charlamagne tha God
Thank you, Mama. I'm just asking. Just asking, do they brush their teeth with their feet?
Big Extra Plug
Yo, shut up, man.
Charlamagne tha God
Hello.
Caller/Listener
Hey, y'. All.
Angela Yee
Hey.
DJ Envy
What's your name?
Caller/Listener
This Roxy from Alabama.
DJ Envy
Okay.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, my God. I hate that. The. It's the first two calls this morning.
State Farm Announcer
Roxy, you.
DJ Envy
You had sex with your cousin.
Caller/Listener
I did, but, see, we. We didn't know we were cousins at the time. Let me make it make sense. When we met, Wayne thought we was cousins. And then after, like, second time, I told my brother about it, and my brother told me cousin.
Charlamagne tha God
But hold on now, Roxy. No, no. We talking about first cousins now.
Caller/Listener
Now I know my first cousins. They're my brothers.
Charlamagne tha God
That's what I'm saying. This is. This is strictly about first cousins.
Angela Yee
So what cousin did you have sex with?
Caller/Listener
Which one don't count?
Charlamagne tha God
I, I, I agree. Like, if it's down the line, it don't count. But if I'm with down the line, it don't count. Yes, the fl. The Florida bill is about marrying a first cousin, but did y' all stop
DJ Envy
after y' all found out?
Angela Yee
Yeah. No, they didn't.
Caller/Listener
No. We stop when we get out of debt. We gonna keep going.
DJ Envy
We get out of jail.
Caller/Listener
They got a town where their first cousin. I don't do first cousins.
Charlamagne tha God
You say y' all got a club in Louisiana for. For people who want to have sex with their first cousin?
Angela Yee
There's a town in Louisiana that only have sex with their first cousin.
Caller/Listener
Carolina.
DJ Envy
What town is that? What's the name of the town? We can Google it.
Caller/Listener
Richland, North Carolina.
DJ Envy
Richland, North Carolina.
Charlamagne tha God
How do you know that just off the top of your head?
DJ Envy
Goodbye, Roxy. You.
Big Extra Plug
You look it up.
Charlamagne tha God
I'm looking it up right now. Yes, it is legal to marry you. Well, it's legal to marry your first cousin in North Carolina. Period.
Angela Yee
Damn.
Charlamagne tha God
The law applies statewide.
Big Extra Plug
Wow.
DJ Envy
Hello? Who's this man?
Caller/Listener
Oh, I'm anonymous.
DJ Envy
Oh, boy. That means you're having sex with your
Caller/Listener
cousin for 20 plus years.
DJ Envy
What?
Caller/Listener
Like in a relationship?
Charlamagne tha God
For how long?
DJ Envy
Why you whispering?
Angela Yee
She had the doctor right now.
Caller/Listener
Almost 20 plus years.
Charlamagne tha God
Hold on. Your first cousin?
Angela Yee
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
Your first cut. Your auntie child. Your uncle child. She said.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Angela Yee
Did you. You. So you knew that was your cousin?
Mimi Brown
Yeah.
Angela Yee
It was just something that you wanted to do?
Caller/Listener
Why?
Angela Yee
Why you like that?
Caller/Listener
It wasn't making me really at first. It was me kind of complying with it.
DJ Envy
Y' all got kids?
Caller/Listener
No.
Angela Yee
Y' all want had some?
Caller/Listener
Hell, no.
Charlamagne tha God
You sound like you're the product of some first cousins already. I'm gonna be honest. You wear sneakers on your hands, don't you?
Lauren LaRosa
Stop
Caller/Listener
Funny. Why y' all do that?
Charlamagne tha God
No, why we do that? Why we doing that?
DJ Envy
You.
Charlamagne tha God
You doing what you doing? No, we not judging, though. We. We listen. We don't judge.
Caller/Listener
Yeah.
Angela Yee
All right. That's nasty.
Charlamagne tha God
That's crazy.
Angela Yee
That's our cousin.
DJ Envy
Have a good one. Jesus.
Charlamagne tha God
First cousins proud to me.
Lauren LaRosa
Yo.
DJ Envy
Hello. Who's this?
Caller/Listener
Yo, what's up? This, I guess, after my name. Pam.
DJ Envy
Okay, Pam. Now, Pam, you had sex with your first cousin?
Caller/Listener
No, no, we did not have sex, but this was literally my dad, sister, son. We were humping. We drive humping.
Charlamagne tha God
It was who.
Caller/Listener
What was that?
Angela Yee
It was who? You.
Charlamagne tha God
What?
Angela Yee
Cousin.
Charlamagne tha God
Who was it?
Caller/Listener
My first cousin. My. My dad, sister, son.
DJ Envy
Y. Just humping and kissing.
Angela Yee
She said dry humping. That means when you Got your clothes on. You just humping, which I was younger,
DJ Envy
but they were kissing, too. I had to.
Caller/Listener
Crazy thing is, like, we were innocent, but, you know, I'm Dominican, so we used to watch, like.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, that's why Envy know what's going on. Okay. That's why envy just said y' all was kissing, too. But you ain't say that. But, like, said they had to put
Caller/Listener
words in my mouth. Okay, slow down.
Charlamagne tha God
Well, he's Dominican, so he know how y' all get down.
DJ Envy
I don't know, Mama.
Caller/Listener
You know what? We might be cousins.
DJ Envy
No, damn. I'm not Dominican, man.
Charlamagne tha God
I think all Dominicans cousins
Caller/Listener
because he is Dominicans.
Angela Yee
Not. Not messing with y' all cousins.
DJ Envy
That's crazy.
Angela Yee
That's crazy.
Caller/Listener
Now that I'm older, right? Like, I grew up being, like, during the shame of it, but now that I'm older, I realize that is very common.
DJ Envy
Yeah.
Angela Yee
I mean, that's the difference when you younger and you. You're exploring your body. Exploring. And you know what I'm saying? You want to dry hump and all of that because you see it on movies and you sneaking and watching your parents sex tapes with your cousin. So you know what I'm saying?
DJ Envy
Your parents sex tapes?
Angela Yee
No. Yeah, I did, but I never humped my cousin or nothing like that. But like she said, it's common growing up in the house when there's a whole bunch of y', all, you know what I'm saying? Which is down south a lot, you know what I'm saying? And you live with a whole bunch of cousins, and it just happened. You get curious.
DJ Envy
You popped in your mother and your father's sex tape.
Angela Yee
No, no, no, no, no. Not them. They used to have, like, the. The VCR tapes just pulling on VCR street. Just all of those different things.
Charlamagne tha God
Said black booty in the street. What?
Angela Yee
You said black booty on the street. Everybody had that tape.
Charlamagne tha God
That was a homemade Baltimore. Alvin Gray granddaddy made that one. Black. That's how Alvin Gray got in the making film. Granddaddy used to do homemade porns in Baltimore. Black booty on the street.
DJ Envy
That sounds crazy. What's the moral of the story?
Charlamagne tha God
The moral of the story is I didn't even know that. That marrying your first cousin was legal in so many states.
Angela Yee
But, yeah, that's crazy.
Charlamagne tha God
Thank God that bill didn't pass in Florida.
Angela Yee
How did. How did it even become legal, though? Like, why is it, like, a thing that the government made a thing like this?
DJ Envy
I had no idea. All right, well, when we Come back. We got Pastor or Nala will be joining us, so don't go anywhere. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. My dj.
Lauren LaRosa
Dj.
DJ Envy
My dj. Yeah, dj.
Charlamagne tha God
Come spin now. Come spin. Big Nyla. N Y L A Nyla Simone.
Lauren LaRosa
That ass is about to kick you behind, huh?
Nyla Simone
I like when he stops early. You usually have a run on list of names that. Anyway, let's get into. I guess the first one everybody's talking about is this lotto business in person.
Charlamagne tha God
Know Drop on the clues. Bonfilado. I ain't seen that one earlier. Now. That's not the one y' all played earlier.
DJ Envy
The same song.
Angela Yee
It's just one.
Lauren LaRosa
It's two different parts.
Nyla Simone
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, okay.
Nyla Simone
Yeah, yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
That part hard.
Nyla Simone
That part is hard. Obviously she announced her pregnancy and then, you know, 21 Savage is a baby father. So the Internet is talking about it. Yeah, yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, well, I like people breaking news through music. You know what I'm saying? I'm sick of y' all on social media. I'm sick of y' all doing podcasts. I'm glad that y' all breaking. I'm glad artists are breaking messaging through music.
DJ Envy
They had a lot of record hard same.
Nyla Simone
And I think the visuals are crazy. But okay, next I'm gonna go into this new Domani record. Domani just dropped his new project and the record I'm highlighting is called Shedding Skin.
Charlamagne tha God
Damani makes me feel so old. The fact that I didn't interviewed his daddy multiple times, now I'm interviewing him. The fact that I done bopped my head to his father's music all of these years, now I'm bopping my head to his music. Dropping the clues bombs with Damani, man.
Nyla Simone
Actually love that. That's a great thing.
Charlamagne tha God
That's. Yeah.
Nyla Simone
The fact that TI can do that with all his kids is actually really dope.
Lauren LaRosa
And they take you on to all different types of music too, depending on what kids you're talking to.
Nyla Simone
I'm waiting on the family tour.
Charlamagne tha God
De really gifted, though. Now Damani, like, as a rapper, he's real. He's a really gifted artist.
Nyla Simone
Yeah, I agree.
Charlamagne tha God
And Buddy.
Angela Yee
And Buddy.
Charlamagne tha God
Buddy Red.
Nyla Simone
Buddy Red. You know, there's another rapper named Buddy in your.
DJ Envy
In. In your guys lane. He sound like that cold Lane.
Nyla Simone
Oh, really?
DJ Envy
You don't think so?
Charlamagne tha God
He ain't in the bike lane, man. Get a man a. Get him. Give him a minute inspiration.
DJ Envy
I can hear the cold inspiration. Absolutely.
Charlamagne tha God
Give him a minute. Let him be his own entity.
Nyla Simone
People do say that, though.
Lauren LaRosa
I've Heard it before, but I don't really.
DJ Envy
Charlemagne said, leave me. Keep him out the bike lane.
Nyla Simone
I don't know.
Charlamagne tha God
There's a few people who.
Nyla Simone
I feel like that the DNA thing just transfers down naturally. But I don't really think of Cole when I listen to Damani personally.
Big Extra Plug
Good.
DJ Envy
I'll give you.
Nyla Simone
But.
Caller/Listener
All right.
Nyla Simone
Michael made it. Just dropped this new project, and he got a record on there with Touchdown Tizo and Ludacris. Now, I think it's really cool to have just those two artists on the same record because they're just different worlds, different fan bases, but both hip hop.
DJ Envy
Ludo always get busy.
Nyla Simone
I knew I should have started with Luda.
Charlamagne tha God
What was that, though?
Nyla Simone
And Ludacris. And Michael made it.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
Because he sings.
DJ Envy
What'd you say?
Nyla Simone
No, he doesn't.
Charlamagne tha God
What'd you say?
DJ Envy
What did you say?
Charlamagne tha God
We said Touchdown teaser.
Caller/Listener
He.
Lauren LaRosa
I mean, Touchdown.
Nyla Simone
I thought he was a raffle teasel. Touchdown. I'm sorry.
Charlamagne tha God
Yes.
Nyla Simone
He's a. He's an artist. I don't know. He kind of does a little bit of everything.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, that sound like something Pretty Ricky turned down back in the day.
Caller/Listener
What?
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah.
Nyla Simone
No, you.
Big Extra Plug
You.
Angela Yee
Honestly.
DJ Envy
Noodle was spitting, though.
Charlamagne tha God
I've heard better records from Touchdown.
Nyla Simone
Okay, okay, okay. Yeah, T.
Charlamagne tha God
I just know he scores a td.
Nyla Simone
What is the teeth, T. Touchdown.
Lauren LaRosa
I feel like he's.
Nyla Simone
I've played him on here before. And you've liked his record.
Charlamagne tha God
That's what I'm saying. I've heard better records from T. Touchdown,
Nyla Simone
but he's a little, you know, alt.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah, he got the spikes on his.
Nyla Simone
All right, all right.
Charlamagne tha God
Maybe I need to hit a whole record. I don't know.
Nyla Simone
It's cool.
Charlamagne tha God
That sound. That sound like that's supposed to be Baby Blue first single in 2000.
Lauren LaRosa
Pretty Ricky Blue first single is crazy.
DJ Envy
Not even pleasure. P. Go ahead. Go ahead, man.
Nyla Simone
My last one, huh?
Lauren LaRosa
What Baby Blue do to you?
Caller/Listener
Nothing.
Nyla Simone
But, you know, he was the lead. If you going to go.
Mimi Brown
All right.
Nyla Simone
I. I love Pretty Ricky. I go.
Angela Yee
I want.
Nyla Simone
No problem, by the way. Just shameless plug. I'm really trying to go to that Tony Braxton show. If anybody can hook me up.
Lauren LaRosa
What New Edition?
Nyla Simone
No, I think it's.
Angela Yee
Yeah.
Charlamagne tha God
Tony New Edition.
DJ Envy
You are disrespectful to Tony Braxton show.
Charlamagne tha God
Is actually, to be honest.
Nyla Simone
From Severin, Maryland. Tony Braxton is from Severin.
DJ Envy
It's a new Edition.
Lauren LaRosa
Respect to New Edition.
Charlamagne tha God
DMV last weekend.
Nyla Simone
Yeah, I want to go to the Atlanta show.
Charlamagne tha God
Oh, okay.
Lauren LaRosa
You. Yeah, you'll go. You'll get there. But I feel like enough people are not talking about what Tony Braxton does at that show. So she kills it.
DJ Envy
She definitely kills it.
Lauren LaRosa
100. What? She has a whole production. I mean, they all have productions, but people don't talk about it enough. To me.
Nyla Simone
My mom has played Tony Bre. The way your mom played the Miseducation of Lauren Hill is the way my mom has played every Tony Braxton album. I know every Tony Braxton song, but, like, by the back of my hand. So I really wanted to see her live. But anyway, my last record is actually like a neo soul, R B fake gospel record.
Lauren LaRosa
You know, like, he's talking about God. It's like you go to church, but you go to brunch after Mary J. Blige.
Nyla Simone
It's fake gospel. Like, it's a positive.
Charlamagne tha God
My life is. I know you talk, but it's not fake gospel. It's not fake. It's just a spiritual. Play the record. Knowledge.
DJ Envy
Just play the record.
Lauren LaRosa
Play the.
Nyla Simone
Okay, fine. It's called Return to Brazil from Rashad.
Charlamagne tha God
I don't hear no gospel. I ain't hear nothing. I know what you mean, though.
Lauren LaRosa
It's a positive, uplifting vibe, and that's what you equate to fake gospel.
Nyla Simone
Okay, fine. Inspirational.
Charlamagne tha God
God damn.
Nyla Simone
But it's like fake gospel because it could slide.
Lauren LaRosa
Sounds of Blackness is that too.
Nyla Simone
Sounds of Blackness is definitely fake gossip.
Charlamagne tha God
No, it's not. Sounds of Blackness is an inspirational record. Be optimistic as long as you keep your head to the sky. And you need to, because you got a bald spot. But listen, inspirational music.
Angela Yee
Wow.
Lauren LaRosa
A little bit. Now you want to talk about the sky? You can't retain nothing in this room above their hat, Yo.
Nyla Simone
My fake gospel playlist is crazy, by the way. I got a lot of great.
Charlamagne tha God
What do you think?
DJ Envy
Gospel sounds crazy.
Nyla Simone
How does that sound?
Charlamagne tha God
Just call it inspirational music. Because gospel music is an actual genre.
Nyla Simone
But that's what I'm saying. They're not labeled as gospel, but they're talking about.
DJ Envy
They're not talking about Christ, but they're just being positive.
Mimi Brown
Yes.
Charlamagne tha God
Yeah. It's inspiration.
Lauren LaRosa
Fine.
Nyla Simone
It's inspirational.
Charlamagne tha God
It's inspirational to me.
DJ Envy
That's not.
Nyla Simone
No, no.
DJ Envy
That's not fake gospel.
Charlamagne tha God
DG ain't going to let.
Lauren LaRosa
Exactly why it's different.
Nyla Simone
That's why.
Charlamagne tha God
This is 100 shots is inspirational to me.
Lauren LaRosa
I mean, that little arm knuck, if
Nyla Simone
you buck is what he said inspirational?
Lauren LaRosa
And let me. No, no, no, no. It does have spiritual leading okay.
Charlamagne tha God
The devil.
Nyla Simone
It does.
Caller/Listener
Like it.
Lauren LaRosa
I mean, do.
DJ Envy
I don't think they were fighting the devil each other in the club. I think they would.
Charlamagne tha God
Okay.
Nyla Simone
That's that Henny spirit.
DJ Envy
All right, let's go, guys. Thank you, Nyla.
Nyla Simone
Thank you guys for having me. If you guys are in the Tri State, I'll be at the Adidas store on Spring street. Spring Street. DJing with Adidas and Averex for their new collab.
DJ Envy
Congratulations. I've seen that.
Nyla Simone
So, yeah, definitely stop by. Check me out. And yeah, follow me on the gram at Nylast. Simone, if you like those records more
Charlamagne tha God
on the way, you get the discounts on the apron rexes. I mean, it's almost spring, but you
Lauren LaRosa
know why you don't know how to dress?
Charlamagne tha God
Could you hush.
DJ Envy
Jesus Christ.
Lauren LaRosa
Know what to do with that jacket?
Charlamagne tha God
Could you get Lauren a hat?
DJ Envy
Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy. Jess. Hilarious Charlemagne the guy we are the Breakfast Club. It's Women's History Month. What we repping today?
Angela Yee
Absolutely. I'm honoring Dr. Patrick Patricia Agnew, played by Janet Jackson in the Tyler Perry film why Did I Get Married? So Patricia deserves honor for her role as a symbol of guidance in her career and in her friendships. She was basically the anchor of her friend group. And I'm always equipping our friends with effective tools and wisdom to save their marriages, all while forcibly navigating the intense pain of losing her toddler son in an accident, which was caused by her. And she was struggling with her marriage as well, because they was playing the blame game, her and Gab. That put a strain on their marriage. They weren't happy, but she was covering that up the whole time. And so that poses my question, the question of the day, which makes it the theme. Who counsels the therapist? Because she was a therapist, she was holding everybody together, doing everything, but whole time, nobody knew. Behind closed doors, she was dealing with some real, real heavy stuff. So, yeah. Who counsels the therapist? Shout out to you, Dr. Patricia Agnew.
Charlamagne tha God
Well, you're not a good therapist if you don't have a therapist. And every therapist will tell you, don't go to a therapist who doesn't have a therapist.
Angela Yee
I did not know that. But in the movie, she didn't seem to have one. And she was responsible for everybody else all the time. So that's. That was. That's real deep. And it's a lot of Patricia Ag news out there. So.
DJ Envy

No, not somewhere this weekend. I went somewhere, though, and I wanted to shout them out. Aladdin on Broadway. My little cousins came. It was my little cousin's sixth birthday, and she just wanted to go see a Broadway show. So shout out to Aladdin. They made it happen. And she, like, I don't even know some of the stuff in the show, like the magic carpet ride. And I don't understand how they even make it happen. But the production is amazing. The kids enjoyed it. Like, they're literally still sending me videos right now. From there, it was. It was the best. Like, they loved it. I loved watching them love it. So shout out to Aladdin.

Charlamagne tha God
Yes. The positive note is simply this, man. Spend time alone to find yourself. You know why that's good? Because it prepares you for something. Actually, it prepares you for two things, okay? Every person must do two things alone. You must do your own believing, and you must do your own dying. Have a great day. Breakfast club. Wake you up.
DJ Envy
