Lauren LaRosa
One of my favorite people to interview.
Portia Williams
You said what?
Lauren LaRosa
You're one of my favorite people to talk to.
Portia Williams
For real?
Charlamagne Tha God
Yes, but she messy and she like mess.
Portia Williams
And she know because she.
Lauren LaRosa
It just feels like I'm talking to my homegirl always. Like we having drinks and just talking.
Portia Williams
Yes, like a homegirl who knows all your business. Cuz you do your research. I love that. No, I do.
Lauren LaRosa
I attention to you a lot.
Portia Williams
No, and I love that. Like it's nothing like when you're interviewing and someone knows like the backstory. I don't have to explain the whole thing. So.
Charlamagne Tha God
So what's the research today, Lauren?
Portia Williams
What's the real.
Charlamagne Tha God
What have you dug up today?
Portia Williams
I dug up.
Lauren LaRosa
I mean, well, I just finished episode two last night.
Portia Williams
Me too.
Lauren LaRosa
Uh huh. So when you're watching these Real Housewives Atlanta episodes in real time, right. Does your emotion flare up after the episodes? Like, you know. Cause there'd be a lot of little things said and we'll get into the
Portia Williams
things I would say. You would think after this amount of time it wouldn't. But I think I'm still trying to get used to the fact that I took a break for so long. So being that I was gone for three years, it literally kind of feels like this is my second year doing the show because I just wasn't thinking about it and I tapped in. So like, yes. Watching the show like last night, even first episode, I get emotional. Like why you say that or why was this said? I definitely do do that now more than I used to.
Lauren LaRosa
So you and Shamia, do y' all talk after these episodes air? Because after last night's episode, I'm like, like y' all are like trying to happen with us. Well, I guess just the invite. So the first episode when she was invited to your house and she was trying to figure out whether the invite was real or not or whatever the case may be. And then in second, which was weird,
Portia Williams
it I dropped it in the chat for everybody. Everybody came from a group chat. Invite.
Charlamagne Tha God
Invite to what?
Portia Williams
So I had a party at my house. I had a. Like a couple's dinner or like, you know, just a girl refresh Dinner. And I dropped the invite in the group chat, so it was. That's how everybody came. Nobody had a separate text, but she
Lauren LaRosa
felt like she wasn't for sure if she should even come because of where y' all relationship is right now or whatever.
Charlamagne Tha God
You don't like her.
Portia Williams
I mean, I don't know what that has to do with me. I just.
Lauren LaRosa
I'm just wondering, like, after the. Like, that first episode airs or even the fact that I don't know in the second episode, it just, like, not seeing y' all as, like, Batman Robin is just, like, so new for me, even though I know y' all want to do that.
Portia Williams
She's a part of.
Charlamagne Tha God
I don't really know.
Portia Williams
Well, I don't know why you would expect us to see us like Batman and Robin. Because from the ending of. Yeah, I mean, honestly, the ending of last year's reunion, it didn't looked like it was gonna lead to us coming in, holding hands and, you know, fist bumping and chest bumping and all that. We not bosom buddies. But I. You know, at that time, I wished her well. I was cool. I am. You know, I've been doing this show for 10 years, and I am still not to the point where I want to just exclude somebody.
Lauren LaRosa
Okay.
Portia Williams
You know what I'm saying? So I felt like, you know, it's a party. All the girls need to come. I want to just, like, refresh, start the season with a good vibe with everybody. And so that's what I did.
Lauren LaRosa
And at the time, in this episode, in the season, you were dating the guy that was there. I forget his name.
Portia Williams
Mike.
Lauren LaRosa
Mike.
Portia Williams
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
Okay. And they had a lot to say about the fact that you had to party and what was before Simon in your house. And then Mike is there now, and a ghost assignment pops up, and production got you down.
Portia Williams
Okay. No, they got him.
Lauren LaRosa
Okay.
Portia Williams
Okay? Because they acting like that man is dead. He's just not in the United States. He's not dead.
Lauren LaRosa
So Charlemagne's a little lost. So they were at a table having dinner, and she's there with her boo at the time, the dude, African?
Portia Williams
Well, he has African descent. We all do, ain't we?
Bethenny Frankel
Yeah.
Charlamagne Tha God
Oh, Lord, you sound like Underground Railroad moment again. Now, Portia, what are you saying?
Portia Williams
I got African in.
Charlamagne Tha God
Me, too. 97%. That's right. 97%.
Lauren LaRosa
But production had. Cause the girls kept talking about how they thought it was so crazy that she was having a party in the house with a new person she was dating, but that used to be her And Simon's house. Right.
Portia Williams
Which is weird, too. Right?
Charlamagne Tha God
Because, well, it's your house now.
Portia Williams
It's. Yeah, it's my house now.
Charlamagne Tha God
It's my house.
Portia Williams
You know, like, at the end of the day, you know, you go to court, you know, and they make a judgment, and I was awarded the home. I pay every single bill. The water bill, the sanitation bill, the yard, everything. So it's my home. I think that is a way to show jealousy, to continuously bring up, like, my ex husband and a new world that I have. Like, I think that's just a way to just take shots and really kind of belittle me as the boss. That I am a woman who actually stood her ground. A woman who actually, you know, did her due diligence with my prenup and got something out of it. You know, Kelly didn't get anything. So I think, unfortunately, there's a little bit of jealousy there.
Charlamagne Tha God
And once you sage the house, you good. You sage the house. Get all the old stuff out.
Lauren LaRosa
You said it was a little awkward, though, what you had mentioned at one of the confessionals, they had you, and you was like. I mean, it was a little awkward. I don't remember what you were calling awkward. It was something about the house and being in the house, you know, with never.
Portia Williams
That I would have been probably talking about with Mike.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Portia Williams
Because we were still new. Like, that was really our first date after. Have seen each other in, like, a very long time.
Lauren LaRosa
So, like, your first date after seeing each other a long time is on real Housewives of 11.
Portia Williams
Yeah. So he and I used to be a situationship. Like, we were cool.
Lauren LaRosa
Okay.
Portia Williams
And. Yeah. And so then my sister was like, look, if you're gonna start dating, you know, you should just be honest and say, you know, you're gonna date this person and date that person. So I was like, looking back, I was like, you know what? Mike is a really good guy. Let me see if maybe there's something there. So that's how that ended up happening. So I had the dinner and, you know, we gave him all that because
Lauren LaRosa
they asked him, how'd y' all meet? He said, through God.
Portia Williams
That's nice. That man said, God sent me to him.
Charlamagne Tha God
What do you say to all your male fans who are upset that that you are out with a woman now?
Portia Williams
Who are my male fans that are
Charlamagne Tha God
mad you got mad male friends?
Lauren LaRosa
They want them.
Portia Williams
Give me nowhere. Stop it.
Charlamagne Tha God
Capital P. These guys be on you.
Portia Williams
Them guys wasn't going to get me no way. Like, y' all did not Even have the chance.
Charlamagne Tha God
Listen, these young boys around here, hiding now, but they trust me. When you walking by through this hallway, they like, oh, my God, Portia, Portia. What?
Portia Williams
You can still admire me. I'm still admirable and desirable, but I do belong to someone else right now.
Lauren LaRosa
At what point in the season does it change and we get to see that, like, what episode end do we see? You get away from dating and being serious in a relationship you're in right now?
Portia Williams
Oh, it took some time. Like, the whole point of dating for me is traditional dating. Like, I'm very slow paced, very much taking my time. I mean, y' all know, I come up in here. I think I've come up here twice announcing two husbands to y'. All. So at this point, you know, it's
Charlamagne Tha God
like, I don't remember two husbands.
Portia Williams
Yeah, I came in with the first husband. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. She be collecting rings. But I'm slowing down. I'm slowing down the pace. And so what you're seeing, especially the Bachelorette on Housewives, like, I am just dating. It's real surface. I'm being admired, you know, after going through a really, really rough divorce, y' all all know about, for like a year and a half, it was a lot. So, you know, for me, when I decided to step out, I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I think that a lot of people are, of course, dating, but they're not on a reality show and showing it. I actually am.
Charlamagne Tha God
Do you even care about labels like lesbian or bisexual? Or do you feel like people are just too obsessed with putting you in a box?
Portia Williams
So when I first, I don't know, announced that I was dating her or that she was one of the options, at first, I was kind of like, okay, everyone's like, are you a lesbian? Are you bisexual? Are you? And I was just like, I don't have a label. Like, I'm just Portia sexual. I'm just exploring. I'm Portia Sexual. You know, now I'm Sway sexual. You know, I am just very, you know, I'm just very free with myself and exploring different parts of myself at this moment. No, I don't mind if you want to call me a lesbian. I don't mind if you know, bisexual is a phrase. But I don't know what comes with that. Kind of new with all that, but I'm not offended by it at all.
Charlamagne Tha God
Do you feel pressure to define your sexuality now that the public might be watching? Because we see it on social media but it's a difference when it hits the tv.
Portia Williams
Yeah, that's true. I think that a lot of people probably feel pressured to label me. I don't feel pressured to label myself. I know who I am, and I'm just living my life. And I think that if more people just decided to live their life and not trying to find a group or define themselves in a certain way, you know, then, you know, that's probably best. I don't want to be out here putting myself in a box, and then, you know, I don't need to be in that box.
Charlamagne Tha God
But you're in the box. That's why they're labeling you.
Portia Williams
There are boxes around.
Lauren LaRosa
Well, y' all be outside.
Portia Williams
I know he going somewhere with this box. Let's get away from the box. Just come out the box.
Lauren LaRosa
Well, that was done too.
Portia Williams
He ready for me to walk him right on into it. The cat is out the box. Okay.
Charlamagne Tha God
Okay.
Lauren LaRosa
Can I ask you a question? If you don't want to answer the
Charlamagne Tha God
whole point of the interview.
Lauren LaRosa
No, because it's really personal about, like, you know, dating. Because I. I heard you say to Angie Martinez that this is your first time actually dating a woman. You've just been kind of, like, curious before, right?
Portia Williams
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
What is the. Is there an actual difference and, like, the fit. Like, what is the difference between dating a woman and dating a man? Like, what's different? Like, why does it.
Portia Williams
Yeah, it's a. It's a good question. She has an experience. Have you ever experienced dating a woman or a woman experience?
Lauren LaRosa
I've never been with a woman before.
Portia Williams
Oh, okay.
Charlamagne Tha God
I thought one of y'.
Portia Williams
All.
Charlamagne Tha God
Oh, no, it was just.
Portia Williams
Oh, not one of y'. All.
Lauren LaRosa
Just both of us. It's the same person, right?
Portia Williams
Yeah. You in that chair.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, exactly.
Portia Williams
That's one of y'. All. But yeah, that's not a bad question because of course, at this point, I'm now have dated both.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Portia Williams
You know what I find with Sway is I feel very comfort. I feel very comforted. I feel very seen, very patient. I don't have to do too much explaining. We communicate a lot. Like, we talk about our past and who we are a lot. And so I just feel like I'm really, really, truly getting a chance to get to know her now. That may also be because we're going very slow. And of course, in the past, you guys know, in the three months, I'm ready. A three month rule. Where is my. You know. But in this case, I am definitely taking my time with her. And it's just very soft. And of course I have always been attracted to women. So I get both of those. I get, you know, the feminine side of her and I enjoy the masculine side of her. The duality is amazing.
Charlamagne Tha God
You said you had a three month rule that you wanted.
Portia Williams
No, not a three month rule. Let me not.
Lauren LaRosa
Here we go.
Portia Williams
No, no, no. But usually, usually both of my marriages, they took off pretty quickly. Even my engagement took off pretty quickly. But you know, you got to learn from some of those mistakes. And I mean, I'm 44, I'll be 45 this year. So I, you know, I definitely have come to a place I know exactly who I am. And I think that is probably what has everybody so curious about this lesbian possible, you know, by, by sexual, et cetera. Because I know who I am and maybe they want to put a definition on me. But as long as I know and I'm confident and I feel comfortable. We only have one life experience. I am living mine to the absolute fullest.
Charlamagne Tha God
You know, looking back at your past relationships with men, right. Do you see patterns that made you open to something different?
Portia Williams
You mean that led me towards where I am now? No, I don't. No, absolutely not. No. I would never say that a man pushed me to go be gay. I actually think that is takes away from my experience completely because I did date both the man and her at the same time. Right. It's just, that's who I'm attracted to. That's just where I wanted to put my focus into. And that's what you're doing dating. Right. You're going to date and then you're going to see exactly where you can see growth. And I saw more growth in a relationship with her than I did with him. It was so.
Charlamagne Tha God
It was never like a small penis that was so small. It was a clit. So you was like.
Portia Williams
I mean a lot of men just don't have a lot of situ things going on for themselves over 40 anyway. People got to start taking care of themselves. They do. You know, people have to it women too. We all hormonal walking around here, perimenopausal men walking around and you know, having issues with their penis. Yeah, they're having situations, so. But I'm not that type of person. I'm very much into how you make me feel, how I make you feel, how our energies connect. So it's not all based off of the pain. I don't miss it. I'm okay.
Lauren LaRosa
And is all your family all on one accord about it now? You Mentioned before, some people were like, side eyed in the situation a little bit. Me, not on. I thought you said that on with Angie Martinez, that things are a bit.
Portia Williams
No, never. No, not with my family. Not with my family. We have actually done every. Single. We were talking about that the other day. We've done almost all the holidays together. And with our family, we just got back just now from taking my family, my grandmother, grandmother, auntie, everybody, her family, her mom, her sister, everybody to Miami. So we spent a lot of time with our families combined. Yeah, we just enjoying life. It's kind of like you. I'm with someone now. I can do all the things. I gotta place all this love I have in me. I feel safe giving it to her.
Charlamagne Tha God
Wow.
Portia Williams
I do. I feel safe.
Lauren LaRosa
That's all.
Charlamagne Tha God
So is this the healthiest relationship you've ever been in?
Portia Williams
I think that I am probably the healthiest because I am very accountable. I mean, if I do something, I think I also played a part. I can't say that those other relationships weren't healthy or toxic just because of them. I played a freaking part. But in this one, I do check myself a lot and she checks herself and we check each other, you know what I mean? But we come back around in a very loving way. So we're still in the very beginning phases of the relationship. But I do think that I am acting more healthy in this relationship.
Charlamagne Tha God
Is this the safest you felt in a relationship?
Portia Williams
I would say in what I know I want and what I'm willing to pursue, yes, because there's no pressure. I think I had always, from the very, very beginning, put pressure on myself to be a wife. I grew up very religious and, you know, I just saw myself as the wife. Wife is the pinnacle role. You know, I was a business owner. I, you know, had my own penthouse. I was a boss and had my businesses. But to be married, I let all that go just to be a wife. And that label meant more to me than anything. But now being Portia, the most honest and truthful stance that I can be in as a person is where I feel most comfortable. So I don't feel the need to be labeled and. Or anything. I want to be the best me and present that to her and to my daughter and to the world, like, so, I don't know, it's feeling safe. I feel safe. Safety starts here with me. I think a lot of where I thought I wasn't safe had to be me making wrong decisions because I didn't trust myself. I was trusting what someone else Wanted for me. But I know me, I know what I want. And anything that doesn't feel right, I'm gonna say it or I'm gonna be out of that position.
Lauren LaRosa
Are you guys having marriage conversations or you're not even introducing that yet because you want to do this differently.
Portia Williams
Very slow girl, you cannot be out here. You know, and I can say this now, you know, it's almost, do as I say, not as I have done. Okay, that. Yes. You talk about and you love someone, you're automatically, you know, we're girls. What do they say? Everybody says, oh, the gay girls, they move real fast. Yes, you. I'm telling you, when you feel this kind of love, it's like, oh my God, let's get a house car. But you gotta come back down to reality and, you know, just take it at a healthier pace. So that's what I'm doing.
Charlamagne Tha God
How you know this ain't a phase though? Your diet might change.
Portia Williams
Yeah, well, my diet changed on men too. And then I divorced them when they were not good for me as well. So your diet can change with anything, you know what I'm saying? And hers could change for me too. You never know the future. It's so funny. People be under my post like, we'll see how long this lasts. Well, we'll see how long anybody's relationships last. A lot of people are getting divorces. A lot of people are whatever. I don't know why it seems like I'm like the first person to be gay now. And I'm like, I'm not the first. It's 20, 26. But I think because people have known me so long on television, I think when they did see me with a woman, they thought, oh, she's just being freaky. It's something small. And I think now they're seeing, oh, this is really who she is and she's exploring it. So maybe people will learn that these girls who are on the down low and. And men who are possibly on the down low, go ahead and live your life, child. Don't worry about anybody judging you. You, this is your one life experience.
Charlamagne Tha God
I think it's like when, you know, back in the day, they used to tell R and B singers not to get in relationships cuz they'll throw off the illusion. Yeah, that's how I think a lot of men feel. Cuz for example, right there's a young boy in this room right now who never sits over there. He always sits over there. But for whatever reason, he decided to
Portia Williams
be right in Front of you today.
Charlamagne Tha God
And I didn't even know he was in the room till I heard the little laugh. And I'm like, what the hell?
Portia Williams
I do see you, black brother, and you look very handsome. Thank you for joining me.
Charlamagne Tha God
You've never sat there ever in your life.
Lauren LaRosa
He's never sat there, baby, he gonna. That made his 20, 23.
Portia Williams
You did it. Okay, no, no, I get what you're saying, but, I mean, I've always. Contrary to what people. The narrative people try to build around me, I've always been a relationship girly. I'm either married or engaged. Like, I don't.
Lauren LaRosa
You know, you think people don't give you that? They give that to you. I feel like people just always try to have conversations about, like, timelines and, like, things like that, but it's always been pushed.
Portia Williams
Always trying to find a way to slut, shame someone or shame someone in some way. And some of that does happen on Housewives. Like, I kind of felt like, oh, they're like, shaming, you know, me being, you know, dating a woman in a way, like, over sexualizing it. So I don't know. I think that. I think we got to kind of stop that. Like, I think it's those days are done doing that.
Charlamagne Tha God
Has coming back been worth it?
Portia Williams
Yeah, it has. You know, I enjoyed Housewives. It was for me. It just got really toxic. I mean, it has its ups and downs, but I was turning 40. I knew I wanted to spend more time with my daughter Pilar. So, you know, when I left Housewives, it was very much planned. It was very much planned. But coming back, it has been good. I'm a different version of who. I'm a different version of the Portia people have experienced. So it's a little shocking to the system for some of the girls. Yeah. Because I'm really, really upfront. Like, I'm going to tell you, like, you know, you talked open, you know, the interview, talking about friends. I now am very open and honest. Like, look, this is how I friend. This is what I need from you in this relationship as a friend. And you can tell me the same thing, because I don't want any hidden anything. I want us to be upfront. If you don't really like me, you ain't got to be around me. I always say I'm where the love resides. Okay, so if we gonna be cool, we gonna be cool.
Lauren LaRosa
Is that the type of conversation you and Shamia had that she memed in the confessional when she was trying to describe the way that Y' all text conversation was going.
Portia Williams
Yeah, you know. Yeah, yeah. You know what's so crazy to me about this season and how it's even starting off? It's just so much talk about Shamia to me, but I'm not talking about Shamia. And so unfortunately, you know, when I do interviews, I'm always gonna be asked about things she said about me, which is okay, but it's very one sided. Once I'm no longer invested in the relationship, the friendship, whatever it is, I'm kind of indifferent, like, you know, so if she is, has any feelings, it's best for her to express them. It's best for her to continue whatever her narrative is. But for me, I've moved on. Like, I had a great season. I enjoyed the girls. I had ups and downs with them. Okay. It got a little crazy, but it didn't color my experience. So, you know, it's. I guess it's a part of the show.
Lauren LaRosa
Do we ever learn who the man was with Kelly that you mentioned?
Portia Williams
So no, I never say his name.
Lauren LaRosa
Okay.
Portia Williams
No, I know him and I'm familiar with his wife, so I will never say his name.
Lauren LaRosa
You got it. For the people who didn't see the episode or who don't watch it.
Portia Williams
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
You want to tell him or like, what?
Portia Williams
Tell him what his.
Lauren LaRosa
What the conversation was like because I just mentioned.
Portia Williams
Oh, okay. Yeah. So I'm not gonna say his name. I'm not gonna do that. My point, my, my point. And in my mind it was very clear. Just your lick back, girl. You, you've been doing a whole lot. You did a whole lot last year and you know, you said something about me that wasn't true. I think we all know at this point that my ex husband's ex wife, you know, had moved on from him. They were done. It was whatever that is news from three, four years ago. Okay. But she continued to bash me about it. And so once something dropped that was true about her, I just simply gave her her lick back. So I felt like we should have been even after that.
Charlamagne Tha God
What do you protect in real life, Portia?
Portia Williams
I protect my daughter. I protect my peace fiercely when I tell you, fiercely, like. And I protect it to the point where I still have friends who are close to me. I still let people in, but when they do something that I don't like, I'm very much that person that will call you and let you know. Yeah. And if I say something to someone, you know how you say something to somebody and it just doesn't sit Right. It's like, oh, I probably did too much. Yeah, I'm the one. I will actually call you back and say, you know what? The other day, I said so and so. And I just want you to know this is what I meant. Because a lot of times it's not what you say to people, it's how you say it. Your intentions can be one thing. Your words can be a whole something different. So for me, I like to match my intention with my words. If I don't do it correctly right, then I will come back. So I protect me and my mental health like nothing else. Like, I know I make money.
Charlamagne Tha God
This past weekend, like every other Sunday, you were on the court with the guys playing ball. Just a pickup game, living out your hoop dreams. No triple doubles, but a mean set of threes in between buckets. One of the homies mentions he closed on a new crib. This is big. And while everyone's asking about the housewarming and making plans to celebrate, you're asking the real questions. Like, has he spoke to his State Farm agent yet about coverage? See, home ownership is one thing, but the right coverage is the real game changer. Even more than your last hot streak is how you protect your legacy. Dropping buckets and bars on the court. A State Farm agent can more than assist you with finding the right coverage for your new place. If you have a claim, your local agent can help you file it. Yep, that's right. Over the phone, in person, online, or on the app, they're ready to help you and they don't drop the ball, if you know what I mean. Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.

Portia Williams
You know, on shows and working or whatever. But if my mental health is not there that day, I will shut My whole day down.
Lauren LaRosa
Has there been days filming, you know, this new season where you're like, I can't today, or we can't go there storyline wise today because you're so much more protective of your mental health.
Portia Williams
So my storyline wasn't driven by the production at all. Like my life, I guess that's even when I wasn't on the show for three years, I said, damn, I'm just meant to be on reality TV because you can't make this shit up. You know what I'm saying? Like in my everyday life, I'm like, you can't make this shit up. So it just so happened when I'm filming all the things that happen that make me have this big storyline and they're just my life, you know what I mean? And so for me, I didn't have any days where I needed to tell production that I couldn't film or anything like that. I was in a better emotional place.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, okay.
Portia Williams
Yeah, I was in a better emotional place last year going through that divorce and, you know, being bashed and, you know, as much with my ex wishing well, by the way, all that, I just, it just, it took a lot on me.
Charlamagne Tha God
What, you really wish him well?
Portia Williams
Yeah, of course. Yeah, of course. I don't. I don't care. Listen, when you are your own person, it does not matter what somebody is coming at you with or what's coming at you. It's what you putting out. I put out positivity, I put out good vibe, I put out goodness into the universe. So I don't care if you don't like me. If I like you, I'mma still like you.
Lauren LaRosa
I think that what you went through with your divorce and kind of how you had to figure it out and you said that you felt really lonely. It set you up to be like a really good friend to K. Michelle as she's coming into the season because she's going through things where she's announcing a marriage and different things. And even the first conversation I see you guys have throughout the episodes, I'm like, okay. Like, I see why Portia probably went through what she went through because there's women that need kind of that, like, I'm lonely right now, but I don't know how to tell somebody.
Portia Williams
Yeah, that's how. Well, yes, K. Michelle, but probably more so. Even Drew, Yes. Going through a similar situation and kind of what I was trying to be to Kelly, but she didn't want me to be that for her. With K. Michelle, I was really glad she Joined the show because K. Michelle and I have been cool, like, on each other's Instagram pages for years. We finally got a chance to do a movie together. We did Single Black Female together. And I was able to see her on set, you know, finally met her for the first time, spoke to her, took a picture. But the first time I actually talked to her was on Housewives.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, wow.
Portia Williams
When the producers were like, hey, here, call Michelle. Da, da, da. And I was just excited because this show. I know people think that I want to be the head bitch or head peach in charge. I do, but I kind of don't. I kind of don't.
Charlamagne Tha God
You have a choice.
Portia Williams
You the og and that's cool. And I'll take that. I'll take it as the og but as an og, I love having a strong cast. I love when a woman comes on the show and she got her own, like, her own life, her own, like, hey, Michelle, she's a star. She's been a star.
Lauren LaRosa
She's done reality tv.
Portia Williams
She's doing done reality tv. Do you know what that meant to me for her to come on the show? Like, I was rooting for her the whole time, and, you know, and we have a little hiccup here and there on the show, but I'm still glad she's there. I love strong players. I was just texting Angela the other night, and I was like, girl, you a damn breakout star. I was like, we don't even talk that much. But I was like, girl, you doing your damn thing. And I just want you to know, as your castmate, I really appreciate you and just who you are and how you stand on, you know, stand on what you say. I love that.
Charlamagne Tha God
And in a lot of ways, you know, you helped them become stars, because I don't think any of them shows can exist with new people. I think you always got to have
Portia Williams
to have an anchor. Yeah, you gotta have an OG on any cast. You gotta have somebody who knows how to do the show. Keep. Keep what y' all talking about flowing. Um, yeah. Set the tone. You do have to have that. It's. It's an important role, and I get paid well for it, but I enjoy having a bad bitch cast. Like, I love. I think the cast is great. I think we've got some good players. Pinky on the show is amazing. She's just getting started, so. Yeah. And like I said, and Angela has stepped up to be like, I don't know, y'. All that girl.
Lauren LaRosa
A lot of people feel like she feels like A OG cast member.
Portia Williams
She does. I'm gonna be honest with you.
Charlamagne Tha God
She does.
Portia Williams
It feels like when you're in. When you're at a group event and you have another person who is there who see what's going on and call it out. They don't care who's friends with who or who's what. They're like, wait, why are you trying to do so and so or what? Da, da, da, da. Then that way I don't have to always be the bad guy or Phaedra ain't got to be the bad guy. Like, she is just another strong player. And she can read fulfillment. She can read. And so we need that. That's what's old school about her, too. She can read you down.
Lauren LaRosa
Well, a lot of people felt like Marlo did that. And Marlo, she's saying that you didn't want her back on the show, and
Charlamagne Tha God
that's because you a hater.
Lauren LaRosa
People led to her exit.
Charlamagne Tha God
She did.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, she did. Funky Friday. Yeah. She said he was asking her how she felt about a lot of the different girls. Now, she said that you were a hater. Yeah, I don't like her.
Charlamagne Tha God
She's a hater.
Lauren LaRosa
You stopped her from. You stopped her back from her coming back on the show, and she would never have done that to you.
Portia Williams
Oh, okay. Well, I mean, she loves talking about me, so I'm glad she got the opportunity to talk about me. She loves it. She loves it. She gets a thrill out of talking about me, so I'm glad she did that.
Charlamagne Tha God
It's good when people like that. When they ask you to do scenes with people like her, do you. Do you choose to do them? You say, no, I don't want to, because, you know, you protect your piece. You know where that's going to go.
Portia Williams
Yeah, I mean, but I'm a part of a cast. You know what I mean? So you still have to do some scenes with people you may not want to do a scene with. I don't have to overly engage. No. Yeah, I don't have to overly engage, but, you know, I guess she's doing her thing. She's being interviewed. She's not on my show. So I heard the.
Lauren LaRosa
My show.
Portia Williams
I know on there. So, like, I don't. You know, again, she loves my name. She loves how it feels coming out her mouth. And so I'm glad she had that
Lauren LaRosa
experience that day you mentioned Drew, literally, like, yesterday. The day before that, the news came out that, you know, she had to leave her marital home and her ex or Estranged husband, whatever the title would be, now has full primary custody of their kids.
Portia Williams
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
How is she? Like, you know, have you talked to her?
Portia Williams
I'm not, I'm not really sure. I'm not really sure. I tend. I intend on finding out though, how she's doing. It's just very unfortunate the whole situation is. I mean, you don't know the details of it. I don't know. Even if I did, I wouldn't sit here and like give them out. But I feel for Drew. I feel for Drew. She is. She's a fighter. She's an excellent mother, she was an excellent wife and I know she's gonna be okay. It's just hard when you're in the middle of these really, really battle riddled divorces to really see the end, you know what I mean? So I think that's the only thing that I am gonna try to bring to her as a friend of like, girl, I know this seems difficult right now, but there is hope at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully all of this is temporary and, you know, it'll balance out to where the mother is actually with her kids in the end. But I do wish the best for her. For, for real, I'm. I'm like that. I was on vacation with my family and we were like, oh my God. Like we. It's. That's the worst news. But again, I'm just here as her friend who has been through something hard like that.
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah.
Portia Williams
And show her that you're gonna come out on top on end.
Charlamagne Tha God
Whatever happened to that show that y' all did when Nene came back on?
Portia Williams
Which one?
Charlamagne Tha God
What was it? The Girl Ultimate Girls Trail. Yeah. Yeah.
Portia Williams
Oh, yeah, it's coming out.
Charlamagne Tha God
Oh, it's coming out.
Portia Williams
Yeah, it's coming out. Do we know when or is it to be? I don't know if it's announced yet, but yeah, Ultimate Girlship is coming out. Nene came on. It was the 20th year anniversary of the whole Housewife franchise and Nene comes to make a surprise appearance in Atlanta. And it is crazy. Like they actually acted up. The old school OG had the real OGs. Now, I've been there a long time. What you call them? Well, I'm the og. There is a vet. I'm vet.
Lauren LaRosa
They're og.
Portia Williams
So no, the OG showed out at this party we had. But yeah, it's a lot.
Lauren LaRosa
Cause was Kim there too?
Portia Williams
Okay, everybody was there.
Lauren LaRosa
Okay.
Portia Williams
Yes, everybody was there.
Charlamagne Tha God
So what show was it where the lesbian, not a lesbian, where the psychic told you that you was Gonna have
Portia Williams
a problem with a lesbian. That was also ultimate. That was also. That was also Ultimate Girls Trip. That was Ultimate Girls Trip Thailand, which is actually the show that gave me the itch to come back to Atlanta Housewives. Cause, you know, I wasn't on any show at the time. And I did Ultimate Girl Strip. And I told. When I was talking to Bravo, I was like, I. I would love to come back if it's like this vibe where, you know, it's completely driven by the cast. Y' all are just really, like, documenting us more. So. And they say yes, but yes, that was Pepsi in Thailand. And he said I was gonna have a problem with lesbian.
Charlamagne Tha God
What made him say that?
Portia Williams
Well, I guess he knew that I had lesbian in me, honey. Okay. But he said problem.
Charlamagne Tha God
But that's a broad statement, though. Like, that's not like a psychic.
Lauren LaRosa
They be like, give me 20 more dollars.
Portia Williams
It wasn't from him. So we were at a temple. And so you do this number, you do this whole chart, and then when you put it in, it spits, like, a fortune or whatever out. And he read it. It wasn't from Pepsi, but anyway, that's a. It's a funny thing. And then I said, I received it. I don't know why I said. I said I received it. I think I was just in shock. Like, here we are at this temple. Why are we talking about my sexuality? But no, I don't know. I hope I don't have no problem.
Charlamagne Tha God
I'm sure you've had problems with a lesbian since then.
Portia Williams
You think I had a problem? I mean, she is a problem.
Charlamagne Tha God
They be aggressive.
Portia Williams
I'm the drama. They be aggressive. I'm aggressive. I'm aggressive.
Charlamagne Tha God
Yeah, but you more the femme.
Portia Williams
See, that's what you think. That's funny.
Charlamagne Tha God
I see y' all on video.
Portia Williams
Really?
Charlamagne Tha God
You do not look like the dominant one in that video.
Lauren LaRosa
On video on Instagram, you don't see them, like, in the relationship.
Portia Williams
No.
Lauren LaRosa
Know what the real videos be giving?
Portia Williams
Not the real videos, but you can imagine. Huh? I mean.
Charlamagne Tha God
No.
Lauren LaRosa
To hear you say that you're not the femme. I. That surprised me.
Portia Williams
Of course, I'm the real girlies girl anyway.
Lauren LaRosa
But that the roles reverse sometimes.
Portia Williams
Yeah, she is. She is. Sure. She's masculine, presenting. I'm definitely all femme, but I'm a tomboy, too. I used to be a tomboy. Like, I, you know, I'm just cool like that. I don't know. It's just this whole fluid, beautiful situation that we have. I don't. I Don't even know if you can say who's more aggressive, me or her.
Lauren LaRosa
You so happy right now.
Portia Williams
I am.
Charlamagne Tha God
Are you in love?
Portia Williams
I am.
Charlamagne Tha God
What's the difference between Portia, the person in love, and Portia, I guess the brand that's navigating these headlines in this reality TV world?
Portia Williams
Well, I tell you what, I'm definitely having to try to. Portia in love used to be mainly just focusing on that person and centering them in my world across the board. Right? Discounting me. It's all about, I'm now in a relationship. This is me, Portia. Now I'm very much in love with me. Like, I love me. Like, I don't know what it is, but coming up on 45, it's like, damn, Like. Like, I just love me. Like, I love my mind. I love where I'm at.
Charlamagne Tha God
Portia licked herself just now.
Lauren LaRosa
Period.
Portia Williams
Okay, I love these.
Charlamagne Tha God
Looked up over there. Brandon went crazy.
Portia Williams
I'll do it. Lick your other hand. No, like, I do. And I think that, you know, this new appreciation for myself and, you know, I used to celebrate myself a lot. I really didn't. My manager actually had to stop me and say, portia, you never, ever celebrate yourself. Like, did you hear what I just said? She'll call me with good news. And I'm like, okay, what'd you say was next? I Now I celebrate every little thing. I don't care if it's just like, I got up and got PJ to school on time and got to the gym that day. I'm celebrating that when you do that and start to talk really positive to yourself on a daily basis, you do fall in love with the person you're speaking about. But I used to speak so negatively about myself. I didn't really like myself. So I will only see myself through someone else's eyes and if they liked me.
Lauren LaRosa
Right?
Portia Williams
But now I know if you. When she tells me she loved me, I know you love me. I know you love me. I'm lovable. I know you appreciate me, because I appreciate me. And what's beautiful about this relationship, too, in any relationship that I think is healthy is if that other person also loves themselves. Listen, I mean, her family would probably describe her the same way as me. We are very wrapped up in us. We love us, we take care of us, and we invest in ourselves. And so that's just a power that's coming together. So me as a brand now, being in love, I truly spread that through everything. Like, I am exploring more with Go naked hair you know, just surpassed 10 million in sales.
Lauren LaRosa
Yes.
Portia Williams
Yes. We did just surpass $10 million in sales with Go Naked. We also just launched a line with Drew Sidor. She has a wig line with me as well. Cynthia Bailey has a wig line with me as well. I'm working on doing some more with some of the other housewives on Go Naked. You just put more into everything else.
Lauren LaRosa
Right?
Portia Williams
You know, and so even with Pampered by Portia, like, I just feel like I'm able. Once my cup is full, I can just pour a little bit here, pour a little bit kind of everywhere.
Charlamagne Tha God
So you're getting a lot of money, though. Well, you're doing very well.
Lauren LaRosa
I'm happy for you, though, because I feel like reality TV in 2026, like, it gets diluted sometimes, but, like, you, your genre and your, like, your generation of reality tv, like, what's your grandfather then? Y' all did it. Yeah, like, y' all did it the right way where, like, your brand will always sustain, like, like, no matter who's watching, how old or whatever. But when you're welcome, when your daughter looks back at this, like, era of your life, right, what do you want her to be able to take away as a woman?
Portia Williams
I want my daughter. And I think about that a lot, you know, because even when I left the show and I came back, I knew, okay, now I'm presenting myself again and she's getting bigger, et cetera. She just turned 7 years old and I can already see her personality. She's a very strong person, strong minded, she knows what she wants and she's gonna be very powerful. I just want her to embody that all through her life. Just know you are powerful, you are worthy, you can do anything you want to do. It doesn't matter what you go through. She's going to grow up and see mommy has been through a lot. Right. You know, but most of all, she's going to see that Mommy has fought
Lauren LaRosa
for who she is.
Portia Williams
I have fought for my place in this industry. I fought for my place in my mental health as a beautiful, strong person. I fought for that. I've just fought for so many different things, and I feel like resilience is most important. But if she could just learn this one thing, if she could just have joy, if she could just really, truly be happy in her life and do what she is, what makes her happy, then I'll be good. Because I think even though you did say I make a lot of money and I do a lot of things, none of them take from my happiness. Once they. Once they start taking from my happiness, they will drop off. So if she can live that life of just being happy and being able to be positive and give that out in her world, then I'm be good. I'm be happy.
Lauren LaRosa
That's so simple.
Charlamagne Tha God
Have you detached from needing, like, constant positive feedback?
Portia Williams
No, because I really. But I know I, you know, I'm human, so I. Like, if I post me a little picture, I'm gonna need a little love on that picture.
Charlamagne Tha God
And you're a cancer. You know what I'm saying? That's actually what they say is a negative trait of us, that we want to be admired. Positive feedback.
Portia Williams
But you know why we want constant. You know why? As a cancer, we want constant positive feedback?
Charlamagne Tha God
We're so pessimistic.
Portia Williams
We're pessimistic, but we give it out. So we often treat everyone else how we want to be treated. We treat our friend. Our friends, super well, you know, fans or people, whoever we come in contact with. We want you to feel us, and we're always just hoping to feel that back. And we often mistake it, as if someone gives us a compliment, that's feeling it back, you know? But so, no, I do. I do enjoy being admired. Like, that's great. But I do put out a lot, so I deserve it. Like now, for instance, when. When somebody say, oh, you looking good, girl. You've been working out, or whatever your body look at, I'd be like, thank you. I don't put no too much. Oh, I ain't been to the gym. Oh, I. Oh, well, I just. No, I'd be like, thank you. So I say, my skin looks good. Thank you. I really be using my meaningful beauty like you. When you can stand in that and be like, yeah, I have worked to look good and feel good and be a positive person, then you can be confident. You don't have to have that hourly, like, you know, admiration from other people and also cancers.
Charlamagne Tha God
We hate when our love isn't reciprocated.
Portia Williams
Yes.
Charlamagne Tha God
You know what I mean?
Portia Williams
Yes. And often that is when our relationships fail.
Charlamagne Tha God
Damn.
Portia Williams
Yes.
Charlamagne Tha God
So every time you want a scissor, she got a scissor, basically, is what you're saying. What? That's not it. That's not what y'.
Lauren LaRosa
All.
Portia Williams
I thought we was talking about love. Oh, no. Okay, okay, okay. And it's not all always just scissoring. Excuse me, but. No, what I'm saying. Okay. I'm not answering your question. What I'm saying is, is that. Yes. What we put out. We want it back like we really do. And if I feel like my last partner and even in this relationship, I go ahead and state up front, like, what I want, you know, what I expect in the relationship. And I allow you to tell me the same. And I try to uphold that on each day.
Charlamagne Tha God
All right?
Portia Williams
Yeah.
Charlamagne Tha God
Okay. Capital P, y'.
Portia Williams
All.
Charlamagne Tha God
Portia Williams, go get you some Go naked hair. What's the website?
Portia Williams
Gonakedhair.com and pamperedbyporsha.com.
Charlamagne Tha God
that's the bed sheets and all of that good stuff.
Portia Williams
Oh, and I have a TikTok Live coming up August 5th. Not August. Lord have mercy. I have a TikTok Live coming up. TikTok Shop Live. That's coming up. It's on the 15th of this month, April. And Cynthia's gonna be on there with me. A lot of surprises, and we're gonna be doing some crazy sales. So my TikTok name is PJ Mama. And. Yeah.
Charlamagne Tha God
And what wig did Lauren. You said Lauren needed a wig. What wig did you?
Lauren LaRosa
I got a wavy one, but it was right before I cut my hair.
Portia Williams
You need someone I cut short.
Charlamagne Tha God
Yeah, she said she going back and wigs.
Portia Williams
So you cut your hair for real?
Lauren LaRosa
Yeah, yeah, this is my real hair.
Portia Williams
Oh, my God.
Lauren LaRosa
It was breaking off, so I just in here stressed out, so I just cut.
Portia Williams
It is so pretty. I did not even think that was your hair. Cause I like, I will do a pixie little wig or whatever.
Lauren LaRosa
No, I cut it. I was like, I just want to start fresh. And I was supposed to grow it out. And then I was like, I like the shorts.
Portia Williams
No, I like it like, it gives
Lauren LaRosa
it a little, you know.
Portia Williams
Yeah. And you can do a little one, two wig, like on a weekend or vacay.
Charlamagne Tha God
But she sent you some already.
Portia Williams
I did.
Charlamagne Tha God
I have it.
Lauren LaRosa
It's like, it's so. It's not.
Portia Williams
I don't know.
Lauren LaRosa
One time.
Portia Williams
Didn't you.
Lauren LaRosa
No, I didn't. Literally when. Once I. Once he finally gave it to me.
Portia Williams
Why you upholding you up?
Lauren LaRosa
I put it on myself in here. And then I think, like, that weekend I got my haircut.
Portia Williams
Oh, okay.
Lauren LaRosa
Okay. Yeah. So I never got a chance, but I still have it, though.
Portia Williams
Okay, well, when you get ready.
Lauren LaRosa
Fire too.
Portia Williams
Yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, lace. Fire too.
Portia Williams
Okay, well, if you want some more, just let me know. I got you.
Lauren LaRosa
I got you.
Charlamagne Tha God
I just did that to plug your wig line.
Portia Williams
You know, I appreciate Charlotte may be need. You know, he.
Lauren LaRosa
He does. He dresses up sometimes.
Portia Williams
That's why I said he playing in your wig? Yeah.
Charlamagne Tha God
How do I dress up?
Portia Williams
You put on wigs and stuff.
Charlamagne Tha God
I don't put on the wigs. Her boyfriend got hit.
Portia Williams
Ashley can see you. Wait, you got a boyfriend?
Lauren LaRosa
Loving my life.
Charlamagne Tha God
Oh, I meant to ask. Oh, my God.
Portia Williams
Now you're in a relationship?
Bethenny Frankel
Yeah.
Charlamagne Tha God
She used to be two low. So she cut one of the dudes off. Now she got one dude.
Portia Williams
Ain't nothing wrong with that. You ain't wrong.
Charlamagne Tha God
She been out the country a few times already.
Lauren LaRosa
You're going to come to the podcast.
Charlamagne Tha God
I'm talking to porn. She's been out the country a few times already with the guy. First time she went out the country, the guy just asked her to be his girlfriend. He wasn't even girlfriend, so she. He put up, you know, will you be my girlfriend?
Portia Williams
He did a whole thing.
Lauren LaRosa
It was a whole thing. It was so adorable. It was my birthday, too.
Portia Williams
Oh, I love that.
Charlamagne Tha God
I didn't Been out the country a couple more times. He ain't proposed yet.
Portia Williams
We ain't asking him to propose. We ain't rushing that.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, I'm not rushing.
Charlamagne Tha God
She told me this morning she been out the country with mad different dudes.
Lauren LaRosa
I did not say.
Charlamagne Tha God
She said it like it was a flex, but I'm like, you ain't getting no ring.
Lauren LaRosa
I'm grown.
Portia Williams
How long y' all been dating? How long? It's been about a year.
Lauren LaRosa
Like a year that we've been dating this time.
Portia Williams
Actually, we do need that ring.
Charlamagne Tha God
That's right.
Portia Williams
You know what?
Charlamagne Tha God
That's right. That's right.
Portia Williams
Now, let me. Hold on.
Charlamagne Tha God
How long was y' all dating before y' all was actually official? When you had two guys?
Lauren LaRosa
I combined it because November was my birthday. That's when the whole Will you be my. You know, that whole situation.
Portia Williams
November election. Okay, yeah.
Lauren LaRosa
So now we're here. This is April.
Portia Williams
Okay? It's coming, it's coming, it's coming. So we got a holiday coming up. We got November, maybe this November.
Lauren LaRosa
We've been very clear. I've been very clear about what I expect.
Portia Williams
Expect. Oh, that's romantic.
Charlamagne Tha God
If he ain't going to do it in Italy, he ain't going to do it.
Lauren LaRosa
It was his birthday. We went for his birthday.
Portia Williams
Oh, but he's spoiling her. And look at her.
Lauren LaRosa
She's smiling, having a good time with someone who actually knows what to do. It doesn't have to be.
Portia Williams
Don't rush. Don't, don't. I mean, I, I, he wanted me
Lauren LaRosa
to come back to it from Italy. With a ring and a baby, I barely be hanging on in here.
Portia Williams
Oh, I would love that for you though. It's going to happen.
Lauren LaRosa
I'm not worried about.
Charlamagne Tha God
Had two.
Lauren LaRosa
34.
Portia Williams
Oh, my God, she's a baby girl. Slow down. Yeah, what?
Lauren LaRosa
She said she was 34.
Portia Williams
Only 34.
Lauren LaRosa
This is the thing I feel like in this relationship, when you got your
Portia Williams
first ring portion, 30.
Charlamagne Tha God
See what I'm saying? Champion.
Portia Williams
That was taken one in the third.
Charlamagne Tha God
Yeah.
Portia Williams
I said don't do as I do as I say. Okay.
Lauren LaRosa
The rings were all great, you know, it was great to watch you.
Portia Williams
I wouldn't even care what the ring looked like. I really wouldn't.
Lauren LaRosa
Well, that's because you've had a lot of good ones.
Portia Williams
Yeah, I don't care.
Lauren LaRosa
I want a nice one.
Portia Williams
No. Oh, yeah. You need to have a banger.
Lauren LaRosa
Oh, yeah.
Portia Williams
Well, all that, you deserve it.
Lauren LaRosa
It's coming. I doubt it, but yeah, that's coming.
Portia Williams
Not past 35. Because, you know, we women, you know, we gotta start having kids and all that. So. Yeah, yeah. But yeah, maybe within this year, the end of this year or next year. He should do it.
Lauren LaRosa
It'll happen this year.
Charlamagne Tha God
I doubt it.
Portia Williams
What? You want it?
Charlamagne Tha God
You want to bet?
Lauren LaRosa
You want to put something on it?
Charlamagne Tha God
No, I don't, but. Portia Williams, thank you for joining me.
Portia Williams
Thank you.

You ever wonder how far an EV
Portia Williams
can take you on one charge?
Charlamagne Tha God
Well, most people drive about 40 miles a day, which means you can do all daily stuff no problem. Go to work, grab the kids at school, get the groceries and still have enough charge to visit your in laws in the next county. But they don't need to know that. And the best part? You won't have to buy gas at all. The way forward is Electric Explore EVs that fit your life at electricforall.org

is Radhi Deblookia from A really Good Cry. I absolutely love being outdoors, even if it's just stepping outside for a bit of fresh air between meals or taking a mindful walk to clear my head. But the one thing that can really ruin that is when my feet feel cramped in my shoes. So I switched to Ultra running and honestly, it makes such a difference. What I love most is their signature Ultra Fit Comfort Balance Strength. They have this roomy toe box that lets my toes actually spread and move naturally. So I really appreciate that and I feel more grounded and balanced with every single step. It's like my feet can finally do their job using all those little muscles that make me feel stronger the more I move. Whether you are a marathon runner, beginner or advanced, or just getting outside to train, altras have become my go to for running and moving mindfully. They fit so well, they're so comfortable and they just move with you. Shop now@altrarunning.com and use my code CRY10 for 10% off. That's a L T R a running.com experience ultra. And stay out there.

This is an I Heart podcast. Guaranteed human.
Episode Theme:
Porsha Williams returns to The Breakfast Club to discuss her new relationship with a woman, her much-anticipated return to Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA), growth after divorce, dynamics with the new cast, mental health, and lessons for her daughter—all in her trademark candid, humorous, and unfiltered style.
[02:40 - 07:09]
Emotional Return: After a three-year hiatus, Porsha reflects on rejoining RHOA, sharing how watching episodes still brings strong emotions:
"You would think after this amount of time it wouldn't. But...I was gone for three years, it literally feels like my second year doing the show...Even first episode, I get emotional. Like, why you say that or why was this said?" (Porsha, [03:24])
Group Dynamics: Porsha details a recent party, clarifying that all cast invitations were via the group chat to avoid drama, but acknowledges that shifting friendships (notably with Shamia) are a focus this season:
"It's a party. All the girls need to come. I want to just, like, refresh, start the season with a good vibe with everybody." (Porsha, [05:19])
Reclaiming Her Space: When some castmates question her hosting a party in her former marital home:
"I pay every single bill. The water bill, the sanitation bill, the yard, everything. So it's my home. I think that is a way to show jealousy, to continuously bring up my ex-husband...It's just a way to belittle me as the boss that I am." (Porsha, [06:30])
[08:05 - 17:46]
Navigating Labels: Porsha discusses public speculation over her sexuality and rejects the need for strict labels:
"I'm just Portia sexual. I'm just exploring. I'm Portia Sexual. You know, now I'm Sway sexual." (Porsha, [09:40])
"I don't feel pressured to label myself. I know who I am, and I'm just living my life." (Porsha, [10:30])
Experiencing Love Differently: She explains the differences dating a woman ("Sway") has brought:
"With Sway, I feel very comforted. I feel very seen, very patient. We communicate a lot...It's just very soft. The duality is amazing." (Porsha, [12:01])
Addressing Stereotypes: Porsha clarifies her attraction to women was not prompted by failed relationships with men:
"I would never say that a man pushed me to go be gay. That takes away from my experience completely...I dated both the man and her at the same time." (Porsha, [13:37])
Family Acceptance: Any rumors about her family's discomfort are debunked; both families have blended harmoniously:
"We've done almost all the holidays together...with our family, we just got back from Miami—my grandmother, auntie, her mom, her sister—spending time all together. We just enjoying life." (Porsha, [14:54])
Personal Growth:
"I am probably the healthiest because I am very accountable...we check each other, you know what I mean? But we come back around in a very loving way." (Porsha, [15:32])
"I let all that go just to be a wife...But now being Portia, the most honest and truthful stance that I can be in as a person is where I feel most comfortable." (Porsha, [16:04])
[29:31 - 37:54]
Supporting New Cast: Porsha celebrates K. Michelle and Angela’s presence, calling them "breakout stars," and highlights the importance of strong personalities:
"As an OG, I love having a strong cast...Angela has stepped up to be like...that girl." (Porsha, [31:06])
Marlo Controversy: Addresses claims that she blocked Marlo’s return to RHOA:
"She loves talking about me, so I'm glad she got the opportunity to talk about me. She loves it." (Porsha, [32:36])
Handling Obligatory Scenes: On doing scenes with people she dislikes:
"You still have to do some scenes with people you may not want to do a scene with...I don't have to overly engage." (Porsha, [32:57])
Updates on Other Shows: Confirms Ultimate Girls Trip is coming out, recalls OG antics (Nene, Kim, etc.), and jokes about psychic predictions about her "having a problem with a lesbian":
"He said I was gonna have a problem with lesbian." (Porsha, [36:15])
[27:48 - 43:57]
Protecting Peace: Porsha is fierce about safeguarding her mental health:
"If my mental health is not there that day, I will shut my whole day down." (Porsha, [27:48])
She talks about holding herself and others accountable, and about the importance of matching intention with words.
Growth from Divorce: Reflects on supporting others, especially castmates like Drew and K. Michelle, going through divorce:
"I've just fought for so many different things, and I feel like resilience is most important." (Porsha, [41:52])
Legacy for Her Daughter:
"I want my daughter ...to embody that all through her life. Just know you are powerful, you are worthy, you can do anything you want to do." (Porsha, [41:13])
"If she could just really, truly be happy in her life and do what she is, what makes her happy, then I'll be good." (Porsha, [41:52])
Self-Love:
"Now I'm very much in love with me. I love me. Like, I don't know what it is, but coming up on 45, it's like, damn...I just love me. I love my mind. I love where I'm at." (Porsha, [38:08])
[40:16 - 45:21]
Entrepreneurial Success:
"We did just surpass $10 million in sales with Go Naked. We also just launched a line with Drew Sidor... Cynthia Bailey has a wig line with me as well." (Porsha, [40:16])
Plugging Products:
Porsha and the hosts plug GoNakedHair.com and PamperedByPorsha.com, and mention an upcoming TikTok Live. There’s playful promo about Lauren's haircut and wig preferences.
