But Salty said that check your your Steam account. And I had Dying like the Beast. So I've been running it and shout out to Blick. Darker than Black gaming. Guest of the show, friend of the podcast. Me and him being low key, just like co op in it. And I will not lie, this game is beautiful as hell. Like I'm. I'm enjoying it right now type. It's. It's definitely better than Dying Light 2, but it's one of them. You got guns. And again, so it's like, it feels good. I'm enjoying it. And you know, I feel like with a Tech Land, they kind of. They revolutionized like, you know, we got Resident Evil Zombies, but now there are like Tech Land Zombies. We like, they made. They kind of reinvented the like zombie landscape when it comes to zombie games. So I kind of respect them when it comes to like Dead Island. And then they just said Dead island and we gonna go to Dying Light.

Yep. Yep. That's why, that's why it took so long for us to get dying like too. Because they stopped making Dying Light and made Dead Island. But then, you know, it's like the people. I want to say it's one of them. Techland made Dead island. But the pub, you know, it's that publisher moment. So it's like they made the original one, but if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, that was both of them because that's why they kind of like stayed towards Dying Light. Because they couldn't. They couldn't. It's when they couldn't make another Dead Island. Or is it the other way?

They. They outdid they self real quick. So it was weird. So I'm enjoying. But the way it's kind of like they finally continued off where the first one left off after the DLCs and everything instead. Because you know like down like 2 is like 12, 15 years ahead. Like looked at Kyle Crane is like a legend type and it's like oh shit. This nigga was locked up in a facility getting experimented on the whole time. Oh but it's legit. It's straight. I'm enjoying it right now. The controls, it's like they kind of. Because d like to disappointed me but I can say they, they kind of blended the feel of the first one with the like I guess new controls of two and it blended together real nice for this because I'm. I'm enjoying it then with the co op I always respected them because that's like you know zombie games be like the only niggas who are actually like they care about they co op like still like to this day like then the only news they got some like zombie shit. They're going to make sure the co op can work. The only thing I don't like right now that is not cross play.

But there's not a lot of. There's not a lot of zombie games. Well that's not true. There are a lot of zombies.

I would say that there aren't any more recent ones that are that way that are made that way.

Because I probably say the last big dick win to me was World War Z. Yeah. What?

Is like I don't know why when it comes to like seven with a set the seven days to die type shit or like Day Z I just don't it just feel outdated a little bit to me.

Like we need some. Like I need some. If it had I say days gone gameplay with hello like the multi server online capabilities I'd be okay with myself. Is that's asking for too much? Hell yeah.

But I think they're so cater like.

Okay. What I, what I mean by using them is they show that there is definitely a big market for a survival zombie game. I feel we just don't have it yet.

We just don't have it like cuz Resident Evil linear and it's like every open super open world zombie game it just feel like I feel like they use the Pub G engine and just throw zombies in it. I don't know why.

No, you know how it's just like they just do that big sandbox and throw hella zombies in it and just give you to do but there's no like goal.

Well yeah, I mean like seven days to die. I need. I need better. I need more modern seven days to die. That's what I need.

I can feel. I feel it. Yeah. Because I'm surprised they never did no like super graphic boost for seven days. Now that you say that you know how. You know how art arc did they like super little like Reborn like remaster 7 Days should get one of them type at least they. They deserve it.

No they got the money needs to be completely rebooted or not even reboot. Just make a sequel with better mechanics.

[Dre]

Pull the Final Fantasy 14 like the seventh day. Really the. The final seventh day or some and then go into a new. But other than that I ain't really been on much. I'm gonna. You know we starting spooky season so I said I'm finally going to start. I never play Resident Evil 0, so I'm starting my Resident Evil run. And if y' all want to donate to me Getting Resident Evil 5 and 6 them the only ones I do not have at the moment. But I'm finna start Resident Evil 0 because I never played like the prequel to the Wesker Mansion incident. So that's gonna be a fun thing. I guess. Let's see this Week I. I am almost caught up to the latest expansion in Final Fantasy every. I know there are people that play Final Fantasy that listens to us. I finally beat End Walker. Man, what a conclusion to a 10 year story. Or 11.

Because it's so good. It really is. Like I was hooked as soon as I got to Heidel and people who know, who know, know. I was like, oh, things got crazy. And the. There's like a bunch of callbacks. It really is like everything just kind of finishes. And now. Now that I've done this, I understand why people say, you know, Dontrell won't hold up. Obviously I haven't played Dontrail there. Yeah, I'm not there. But when you have a story that runs for this long and concludes in a very good way, how do you top it? Like is there is no topping it? You can't. Especially if you're starting something new.

So Sephiroth pop up? I don't know.

[Xavier]

So that. That is honestly the highlight of my week for sure. Because it was so worth it. Like, I've kind of complained about the progress, but I think it was a good payoff for sure.

I got. I gotta get a good person a while before I hop on Final Fantasy 14. Like them. My two. You inspired me. Like, I gotta do these for Tony.

Yeah. I'm actually gonna start playing. Wow. Well, I think it's when this. No. Okay. So that's this. Oh, wait. Yeah. It'll be like I will be playing when this episode comes out. I will be playing wow.

So I'm sorry, Final Fantasy Friends, but I will. I will be back there at least for a month because Legion Remix is coming out and I gotta get on that. That's. So let's see if I watched anything this week. Lord of Mysteries. Anime. Super confusing. Don't know what's happening. It kind of just. I'm only on episode two. But essentially it's the way it started out. Just so you can get a feel for how confusing it was. This dude wakes up in someone else's body after the dude, I guess, killed himself, shot himself in a pistol. Because he woke up and he was looking down at a table. There was a gun in his hand. There was blood on the wall. And then a wound in his head was healing up. And he's. For some reason, he knows that he just dropped in someone's body because he inherited all their memories and stuff. And I don't know. I'm so confused. Lord of Mysteries. And this feels like One of those ones that is just going to keep kind of like peace feeding you things piecemealing.

It give death no vibes.

[Xavier]

No, no, I wouldn't say that. It's more like it drops you into something and kind of like you put it together as you go. Because that's what I'm getting so far because like I'm on episode two, like I said and it's kind of fed me some more stuff about the world and how it works.

So it look old timey Sherlock Holmes with how these.

[Xavier]

Yeah, yeah. It's like Victorian steampunk esthetic kind of thing. Yeah. But with magic. Pretty good. Yeah, I'm hooked. It actually pulled me away from the Chosen for a little bit which I'm on the last season for that. That's that's feeling. That's a lot of feelings wrapped up in the album. It, it really is such a good, good show. And that's my week. Eli.

Well, I've been watching more of Orphan Black on Netflix watching that. That show is kind of wild. It's kind of a wild show. It's about this chick who watches herself, somebody who looked just like her kill herself on the first. In the first episode by jumping in front of a tram.

[Dre]

All right, wait, we dark. We dark.

It's October it then you go once you get deep in the show you find out that it's a. This, this woman she just cloned. It's a whole bunch of clones of her around different, different lives and different places from different families stuff and just a whole bunch of clones and, and the scientists they put people into their lives to, to watch them. So she found out that because she took over the woman who killed herself she stole her identity and started taking over her life. So she became a cop like the other one. She found out that the woman boyfriend been watching her the whole time. He's just there to watch her. So you find out everybody got somebody in their life that's in there to watch them something but pretty good so far. I also finished I binged finally watched Presumed Innocent the Jake Gyllenhaal show on Apple TV where he on trial for the murder he district attorney he on trial for the murder of his co worker that they find out have a relationship and he she was pregnant with his baby when she died. So that's also a good show. Really good show. And last thing Gen V episode 4 came out of that so I've been.

I watched on that so it's been legit.

So Far like yeah, yeah. But like nothing happened yet.

It's still building up. Nothing really, really, really important happened yet. You're just finding out stuff.

I started on the episode where they're fighting that big. Well it's the first. It's the first episode of Justice League Unlimited when they. When we first see Green Arrow and they're fighting that big old robotic monster where they find out that the. It's the anger, it's the reason why that is attacking people. Attacking people. Can see Hawk and Dove in there. That show has some really good writing in it. Well, the old Justice League did too. But Just League Unlimited is my all time favorite because it has such good writing in it, such good stories that I like also. But other than getting my ass kicked by my ologies, I ain't really been doing much nothing. Oh yeah. Shout out to everybody who showed up for Stand up mvps. So it was almost sold out. And we are back. So Peacemaker season two is getting hot. It's getting getting crazy. Episode five, recently released. Last week we talked about Dre actually said that it's probably the town spot of racist. I know we all agreed like whatever is something too good in DC Universe. It's something wrong with the universe. And it was. So basically what happened is the group is trying to go figure out how to get Peacemaker back. They got the little doohickey that gets them into the Other dimension. And they open it up and they. You forget also, it's a little hint to how smart old girl is Amanda Walla daughter is because she was able to put everything together. You forget that she actually really smart. But they go to the other dimension. Her hardcore, the tall redhead dude. They enter into the other dimension to go look for Peacemaker. So inside the dimension, they find Peacemaker's brother. And they end up getting caught. Not really getting caught, but like he sees hardcore in there and he thinks hardcore is the hardcore from that, from that dimension. And they talk that they basically end up going to meet at the office that they're going to. And on the other hand, the big, the, the blonde, I, I don't even remember their names. The big redhead dude and the other girl, the black chick, they stay back and they wait. Ginger coup. Yeah, I remember that. I don't remember. They, they stay back, they find Eagly, they clean up his mess and stuff like that. And then the girl, she's like, hey, I'm go for a walk. By this time I figured out, I was like, this plan is racist.

[Dre]

Now when Harcourt was in the office and she, she got out and she was like, hey, why is there only white people in here?

[Tony]

I haven't seen a single person of color here.

[Dre]

Amanda Walla Donna go for a walk and all you see is a white woman panicking like, oh my God, one of them got out. First off. What the do you mean one of them got out? Yeah, Homelander daddy drive. I mean, his brother drive by hit this girl. Oh, it's a black. Yeah, Peacemaker who has a homelander. Yeah, my bad. Yeah, Peacemaker brother hop out the car like, oh, she's a black. And now you just see a, a whole lot of white people chasing a. Chasing down Amanda Waller's daughter.

[Tony]

That's true.

[Dre]

I keep forgetting what they had me jerked out. Cause like, you know how she was walking and you just start seeing people in the background falling and, and I was like, what happened? Then I had to catch like, wait, oh, oh, oh. Then it was like, it's a black.

[Tony]

That was real terror in her face too. That was funny as hell. She like, oh, on other head, the redhead, redhead kudu. He's in the house. He ends up his Peacemaker's dad in that dimension. Comes out, start going to the refrigerator. Then he ends up getting caught by Peacemaker dad, stabbed in the hand. And hey, I just think I don't like this character confessing.

[Dre]

He, he out.

[Tony]

Yeah. End up confessing everything, telling him that Peacemaker killed his actual son. All that stuff, stuff you're not supposed to tell somebody in another dimension like that. He started telling her that stuff. On the other hand, they're back at Argus and Hardcore. Earlier in the episode, she had to get. Go through like a check. She had to get checked because they found out. Did you remember with Vigilante, they blew.

[Dre]

Up all the shit with the cocaine and she blew on her and shit. And the dog went crazy because.

[Tony]

Side note, you find out Vigilante, he do be busting up like drug, drug rings and stuff like that, but he don't turn into the police department because he said the police department is crooked and it might get used again. So he keeps all of it in his bunker, even though he works a part time job. And he act like he don't never have no money. This dude got stacks millions of dollars of just money in there. Drugs and everything inside his bunker. And they like, they even had mention. They like, bro, wait a minute there millions of dollars in here. You just asked to borrow money the other day. Like this crazy. So something happens. What? Oh, they. When they open the dimension thing, this cocaine blew up and it sprayed on Hardcore. So when they get to the other dimension and she's going to Argus with Peacemaker's brother and they get in there, she has to get checked. Which I thought this is weird too. This is another weird thing. They made her get checked and she had to take a blood test, make sure she didn't have no cocaine in her system when she was coming through the door before she could get into Argus.

[Dre]

I thought that was pretty crazy because she still worked. It was like, you remember she, she still worked for A.R.G.U.S. in that universe.

[Tony]

Yeah, I know, but still like them having to do a blood test for drugs, you ain't got to do no blood test for those.

[Dre]

They know niggas be doppelgangered as the fuck out of times.

[Tony]

Yeah, I forgot you do that. Yeah, but yeah, she ends up getting. But then things start the fold. Peacemaker, you know, our Peacemaker, the one from regular dimension comes back and he sees it there and they, they's about to talk. I mean, they start, they, they like air out all this stuff that they've been going through the whole season. But the other hardcore shows up, she's like, oh, that's not me. Arrest that lady. And then that's where everything, all the other stuff, this is all happening around the same time as red hair dudes getting attacked in the kitchen. And while Mad Doll has been chased down the street like all this is happening together. And also big, big, big, huge Superman 2027 movie Easter egg. Lex Luther makes an appearance in the show. It's hilarious because he makes appearance. He's in prison, and they go like. The scene slowly just pans into him walking behind him. Then he sits down because Rick Flag Senior, he has to go to him because he's trying to get help on how to find or either how to close the dimension that Peacemaker has. And he's basically asking him, which I. This sets up another thing because he asked Rick Flag Senior to transfer him to a new prison. I know in the comics and in TV show, when he got transferred to a different prison, he broke out. So I think that's what's going to happen. I feel like it. Like he's going to end up breaking out and this sets that up. But he ends up helping them. And he also mentions Killer Croc and the Doctor with the. From Creature commandos. But, yeah. Season going good. What's your thoughts on it, Joy?

[Dre]

Pretty good with it right now. It's like. It's. It's kind of. They retcon themselves. Okay. Into the new James Gun DC universe. You know what I mean?

[Tony]

Yeah, I appreciate it.

[Dre]

It's pretty nice. I'm liking where it's going. It's like all the pieces starting to, you know, follow. Like, once I realized everybody was racist as hell, I was like, okay, this is. This is the turn. This is their turning point of the season. Like, okay, this is where we at now. So. But I feel like it's something to happen in that universe that's gonna reflect. I don't want to say reflect, but it's gonna have an effect on the DC you now.

[Eli]

Yeah.

[Dre]

Because, you know, they still doing that weird multiverse a little bit. So I don't know why I feel like something from the weird Nazi racist universe is gonna seep over into the DC universe now or. Or let's lose the gonna. You know, he gonna manipulate that somehow. He gonna use that.

[Tony]

Yeah. Or one.

Or maybe. Or maybe random. Either his daddy or brother make it into the regular universe.

[Tony]

They did a soft mission to Enchantress also, because you find out Hardcore and Rick Flag was actually having an affair because she didn't.

Yeah. That's why she didn't like Homelander Face. Because it's like, you killed my ex. You was killing. You was killing my side plane. Yeah.

But that's like, he was always with a girl, which I guess the girl is because remember in the old suicide movie, he. They was trying to save in trenches, but he. But really they was, like, actually together. Like, that was his woman. So I'm guessing they was together around that time, too. Like, how you gonna cheat on a chanter? That's crazy.

And that's why he could. That's why he couldn't be with Hardcore, because it's like, this can murder all of us with magic.

It was a nice tie in. I appreciate how they kind of brought all. They brought James Gunn, Suicide Squad. It's like the suicide squash. They made sure the Suicide Squad is still candy.

Yeah. And take none of it out. I did that. You did. You see the rumors on. On the Internet that they're saying that the bird blindness dude might be. Might be Martian Manhunter.

Unless you get the ad free version. But all in all, not negative talking hbo Max. I do have to say it's another like Peacemaker is another one of them HBO shows that's like really good. Because HBO is doing really good for live action TV shows in dc. I can't wait to see what more they have. I can't wait to see the Lantern show. Did they say they have more coming? Because with Peacemaker doing really good. Penguin was really good. And then outside of that, the Last of Us is really good. Like I don't know. HBO Max is been on the road. So good writing in the show and, and this season has good writing too. It's a lot of cliffhangers and a lot of good things happening. And the fun, like the humor in it keeps you going too. That's also another thing. But Peacemaker Season 2, we'll have the final. We're gonna watch the next three episodes, then we'll get a final review after the next three episodes. Yeah, moving on. We're going to the dojo. Dre, what you got?

Random other. I forgot to add on. So I saw him the football horror movie. It's. It's, it's okay. It's a horror movie kind of. It's like one of them psychological thriller type.

One of those type of movies. But football. But it was. It was a great all, you know, all around. I don't see why people just like. It was kind of overhyped. I will say that. But overall it was like a random okay horror movie. We'll say more. You know, when Marlon Wayne's do like not funny. He goes into that and I appreciate that every time because that be acting.

I heard him say something on social media because I guess the movie got kind of panned. Like not very great reviews.

[Dre]

Then he said something to the effect of it being ahead of its time. And that's why people don't understand. Oh, because he. He mentioned. He's like, yeah, everyone hated white chicks when it came out. But look at the cultural impact now.

That's why. And that's why I say you can't see that now. That's why I say you can't trust Rotten Tomatoes. Like on Sudden thing. Like on cult classic type moves. You can't trust them because they gave white chicks are low score. Like why she. Of course you. You remember every line for that movie.

And y' all some Texas football. So it's like, you know, yeah, that should have hit there. Y' all already know how had to go through football. Is life as soon as you hit peewee football, one of them type moments. I was like, oh, damn. Yeah. Dion. It got real. Dion Sanderson. Out of nowhere. I was like, okay, I see. I feel. Yeah, it's like that. It really do be like that. But it was a straight movie other than that. We've had the guys doing. We had to stay to play and random. I forgot I was not ready for this. And I'm not gonna lie because I was having a random drunk day and I had took a break. Then everybody was like, you know, it's a state of playing like two hours, right? And I was like, oh, all right. Let me. Let me hop back home stream real quick. So bust that round. Bust that down real quick. So. So let's go with some of the Games to me. All right. Overall, it was kind of me. I ain't even like, y' all know I'm not even gonna play with y' all like that. Like, y' all know if it's like a super hype state of play, I'm. I'm not sure. The only thing good about, I mean, it has some, like, you know, PlayStation been on this real indie artsy type lately. Don't know how to really explain it because if I, if I, if I be like, stupid, like, I. If I just point, point, then I'd be a homophobe or a bigot or something. Somebody's gonna be offended. But let's go over some of these games before I just point out Wolverine.

The only other game I care about is Sorrows. And then I still have to wait a year for it to come to PC because I'm not buying the console for a game.

Wait, what, what is Sorrows?

Wait, Soros is the next game from the same studio who did Returnal?

[Dre]

Yeah, okay. Yeah, I did see this. So is this like a. Is this the same universe?

[Xavier]

No, no, it's. I don't think so.

Because the monsters that you fight and everything look mad. They look mad Returnally. And I wouldn't be mad if it was like maybe a different planet, same universe type.

Yeah, I don't know. I don't think so. But it looks. I mean, I'm just there for the gameplay. I'll be honest. I like the psychological story that the first one had because it was real confusing. But then it all right together real well and I was down for that. But I'm definitely down for another eternal.

Esque game, one that caught my eye, which is random as hell because this kind of. It pissed me off, but I was like, kind of brought me back. They remastering Dynasty Warriors 3, like, and Dynasty Warriors 3 is the one that made me a Dynasty warriors fan. But I'm like, why? We just couldn't get Dynasty Warriors 10. So I just don't know.

[Xavier]

I was not aware that they keep going, that they were still going with.

[Dre]

That because, you know, it was like dinosaur warriors 9. Then they did that Dinosaur Warriors Origins game. And we ain't heard nothing else at the. The Origins game. And from what everybody said, Origins was straight. Like, when they actually just tried to make like a single player experience in the three Kingdoms thing, people said it kind of worked. So I thought they was going to like actually start making first player, you know, like now we just remastered three, which is like, I ain't Gonna lie three was probably the most complete one out of all. You know, all of them is the same game over and over again. But three was probably. That's the one where Lubu was that nigga. Like Lubu is on Shang Tsung level of boss battles. So that's. That's nice. Another remaster is Deus Ex, the first one, which I'm kind of mad about because I just. I. Like I said like two months ago I got the first like the original PC one.

But it got good graphics. I ain't gonna lie. I saw the little. But I feel like I could just mod mine type so I don't know. It all depend if it's on like PS Plus I get it. Next up, Code Vein 2. Another great, you know, RPG. I have not played the first one, but people always told me it was goated.

Oh, I would just say it's okay, you know.

Okay. All right. Tony called it. That's Tony's word. You know, if I, if I ain't did it, Tony probably got a strong opinion on it. And the other one that was like on some weird artsy type stuff that like had me like. I kind. I like this, you know, I like when games do that weird artwork gameplay. Like you can mix the gameplay textures. It was like Chronoscape the Endless End where it looked like it's a book. Like a, like a, like you know how the pop up books used to be. But yeah, it's a. I, I like when RPGs do like that. Like it gave me Paper Mario but final. I wouldn't say Final Fantasy. Give me Fire Emblem at old school Fire Emblem but Paper Mario artwork type vibes. But a British but a European did the artwork. So it got that like Italian looking artwork art style to it. Yeah, but it looks really nice. I was like okay, this is like some nice little side scroller RPG type gameplay. I could deal with it. Another random one that was like caught my eye that messed me up before I go to Wolverine is Let It Die Inferno. I am Let It Die. It's one of those.

So I was like let it down. I didn't. I Let It Die was so random yet. Okay for me type like I enjoyed Let It Die. It was like a random good rogue like game.

[Xavier]

I didn't get to get into it cuz it was already dead on the PC. So no one.

Yeah. So because I had it on PlayStation I was like this shit like even like playing solo. It's ignorantly okay. And then they kind of like rebooted it for the five like on the PlayStation. Let it die is still kind of like it still be booming. Like I still be watching people play at times on Twitch and then we finally getting a sequel and it was like oh weird Japan. Be Japan in at times. This is about the best way to like explain Let it Die because it got that weird quirky anime feel but about really about dead people and you just using their bodies to fight an endless subway and just keep going down. Yeah, it works though. It actually works like that made me have to like I said, I might actually just re download the other one. Oh damn. We gotta play Neo. Oh my bad, my bad. Gotta do time.

He graphics look mid. It does give me PS4 vibes. But the fact that Insomniac is trying to get super violent.

I want to know how is it. I want to see how it's going to tie into the Insomniac MC Marvel Universe. Because apparently the Avengers got like all the Avengers and that was on the game. And the Guardians of the Galaxy games, all those are tied together. So they all in the same universe. Which is why. So is that's why we never saw no X Men in either of them games. So I'm like, huh, It's. Yeah, it do look really like on. Yeah, graphics wise, it don't look. Oh, it don't look bad. But for PS5 now it looked under shooting like, y' all better be that PC version Better be Ray traced out and going Duffy or some. But I'm enjoying it. Like I, I felt I got from what I saw. I, I, I'm not scared. But I hope it looks a lot more cleaned up when they come out.

I love Interview with a Vampire man. Yeah. See, some horror movies don't really seem like horror to me. And these one of these movies because I, you know, I don't really like horror, but this don't seem like a horror movie to me. It seemed like.

Yeah, it's more of a drama romance movie. Something like that.

[Tony]

Yeah. I really love Interview Vampire. That's one of my favorite vampire movies of all time.
