I'm the homegirl that knows a little bit about everything and everybody exclusive. I know she don't lie about that. Right? Lauren came in hot. Hey, y', all, what's up? It's Lauren LaRosa. And this is the latest with Lauren LaRosa. This is your daily dig on all things pop culture, entertainment news, and all of the conversations that shake the room, baby. All right, so we are not going to check in behind the scenes of the grind today because there is big breaking news that I want to, I really want to get to with you guys. I really want to discuss with you guys. So news broke yesterday that rapper Pooh Shiesty, rapper Big 30, and the father of Push Iisti Lontrell Williams Sr. Sr. Were arrested by the FBI and were taken into custody. Now to back up a little bit, several days ago there was a report that was released via a Memphis, Tennessee local station. That report mentioned that a family home that was owned by Pooh Shiesty, Robert Pooh Shiesty and his dad, Launcher Williams Sr. Had been raided by the FBI. Now, at the time, everything was sealed. There was no mention what the warrant for the actual raid like was for. Like, what it was, you know, positioned on how they were able to obtain it, what the case was tied to. At the same time, there was an arrest warrant that was served too, with no information of who might have been arrested, why they were looking for this, this person, Nothing at all. Right? So at the time and seeing that I'm reaching out to police in Memphis, I'm reaching out to the district attorney's office in Memphis to no avail. No one could tell me anything. Was also searching on pacer, which is an online website where documents are filed. And I'm like, okay, if there's an arrest warrant and there is a warrant for a search and seizure of any sort by federal agents, I mean by police in general, but especially once it gets to the federal level, right? Like if the local police are working with the feds. There's been a lot of paperwork here. There should be a tr, a trail. Couldn't find anything. Everything was sealed until literally 24 hours ago. So now we have an update because Pooh Shiesty and his dad have been arrested and they were arrested on and booked into a federal institution in connection with a criminal case. Now they have not been officially charged with anything, but following the raid of the home, the feds have issued a statement, they issued a written statement with some background details and then they went on and did a press conference. So we're gonna hear from the feds right now on the eight out of nine that were arrested in connection with this case, including rapper Pooh Shiacy. Let's take a listen.

This week, nine individuals including well known musical artists kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint numerous victims at a music studio in Dallas, Texas. Eight of the nine were arrested yesterday in Dallas, Memphis and Nashville. These individuals who are charged and arrested include Lontrell Williams Jr. Also known as Pooh Shiesty, Lontrell Williams Sr. Rodney Wright Jr. Also known as Big 30, Kaderious Waters, Damarion Gibson, DeMarcus Glover, Cordae Johnson, Darian McDaniel and Terrence Rogers. Has not been arrested yet, but will be soon. The complaint alleges that on January 10th of this year, three music industry professionals traveled to Dallas for a scheduled business meeting. Lontrell Williams Jr. Arranged this meeting purportedly to discuss the terms of his recording contract with one of the victims as alleged. Once these three men were inside the recording studio, Williams Jr. And eight co conspirators, several of whom traveled from from Memphis, Tennessee executed a coordinated ARM takeover as alleged. Williams Jr. Produced an AK style pistol and forced one of the victims to sign a release from the recording contract at gunpoint. The remaining conspirators displayed firearms and robbed the other victims of Rolex, watches, jewelry, cash and other high value items. One of the victims was actually choked by one of the defendants to the point of near unconsciousness. Defendant Wright barricaded the studio door with his body to prevent the victims from escaping. The ringleader of the conspiracy, Lontrell Williams Jr. Was on home confinement at the time of the offense as alleged for a prior firearms conspiracy charge in conviction out of the Southern District of Florida. Towards the end of his prison sentence, he he had been granted home detention. Part of the terms of his home detention were that he would not commit another federal offense or possess a firearm. His father, Lontrell Williams SR Is alleged to have helped plan and execute the federal kidnapping as charged in the.

Now, here's the thing. The conversation around this, right? This whole music studio, you know, potential, like, kidnapping, robbery, allegations, like all of that, right? There's been conversation around this for some time, both in the industry, like, on the back end, right? Like, if you're talking to, like, any execs in industry music people and hip hop, rap, like, there's been a conversation around this, but to be honest with y', all, I didn't think it was gonna make it on over to the other side where there are official, you know, police investigations. It. I just didn't know how sound. What we were hearing was, but it was pretty sound. Now, the allegations are pretty interesting because, you know, some of the questions that this leaves is, number one, who are the music executives? Because people suspect that the music executive or one of them at least, in question is Gucci Man. Gucci man signed Pusheisty to 1017 back in early 2020, and it was a big hit for the label. And the label had had some, you know, various conversations going on about, you know, how the artist under the label, things just don't work out, or either they don't work out or, you know, things happen where they end up, you know, locked up or no longer here on earth or just business doesn't go well. So, you know, when. When this was being rumored some time ago, people were trying to attach this to Gucci Man. I don't have anything official yet that names Gucci man directly by name as the Executive, but that is what has been reported by some hip hop outlets as far back as January. And even now, there are outlets that are reporting that the Executive was Gucci Mane. But I want to be responsible in that. Like, when I say that for certain, I want to have confirmed that. So I don't know. I'm not saying that to confirm it. I'm letting you guys know that, you know, that was what was reported. I have not been able to confirm. But pretty interesting, you know, that this all centers around that executive that people have been, you know, trying to place a name to. Now, I told you guys that this was unsealed almost like 24 to 48 hours ago. And normally with something like this, they keep things sealed because either, you know, they don't want an investigation tampered with, and for several reasons. Normally it's like, okay, either it's something pretty gruesome or, you know, there's high profile people involved. You know, it's. There's several different reasons. So it's normally they want to make sure that, like, the investigation isn't tampered with. So they don't want anyone who may suspect that, you know, they're investigating them to know what's going on. And whenever something is filed, I went right on over to online records trying to find anything I could in court paperwork that was filed and couldn't find anything. So if the media gets a hold of that, you know, the media comes in and they report every detail that they can because that is their story. And then that messes up an investigation because, you know, a potential suspect is reading things in the, um. And then another reason why they want to do it is because witness protection. So, like, you know, in this case, there is someone who is, you know, there's witnesses, right? Like if this took place in a studio, you have the people who work in the studio, the people who book the studio. The. There's so many people that could have been involved in this. Somebody had to let the feds know that there was something to look at. Whenever, you know, the feds come knocking, they come very for sure, for the most part anyway, their conviction rates are pretty high. They come very for sure. And typically they're very for sure because they have people that they're talking to and, you know, in sealing things, they want to protect the people that are involved. Now, another thing is there may be some sensitive information, personal information or confidential information involved in any of the documents. And again, especially in high profile situations, they're trying to keep certain things very close to the chest, not only because they don't want to mess up their investigation, but because, you know, just with high profile people involved who may have just been kind of like, you know, involved in a way where it's almost unfair for it to be detrimental to their name or to their business or to what they have going on, because they were either victims of a crime or just kind of, you know, wrong place, wrong time type of thing. So. But then now that's all out the way. Everything is unsealed. So there will be more here that I'll be, you know, discussing and developing. We'll be talking about this, you know, on the Breakfast Club. If you guys are listening here, make sure you go check me out over there as well, too. Now here's, you know, what is really going to set everything off. Because if Pooh Shiesty is guilty of what police are going to, you know, charges are going to come down. If Push IC is guilty of what they're going to eventually charge him with. And what they're claiming he was on home confinement at the time of this situation. Some of the like release that I received to the press from the DA's office in Texas, which is where this went down at, say that Poochiesty was literally on the phone arguing or having a conversation with someone in relation to his probation because he thought that he was able to be out just, you know, on like rec time and found out that that was not the case. The meeting that he had scheduled, this, this meeting in the studio that he had scheduled, the music executive in question offered to reschedule it because he overheard the phone call and was like, hey, you know, you on, you know, the monitor, you got to make it home to your officer or whatever. Let's just reschedule it. And from what police are saying, they're alleging that Pooh Shiesty then said, no, it's cool, we gonna get this done. They're positioning him and his father and Big 30 as like the orchestrators of all of this. If true. Oh, they gonna put him behind bars and throw away the key. He like, he just ruined his career. If true.

Another this is Matt Barnes from All the smoke. In 1876, the very first phone call in history was made. And 150 years later, we're more connected than we've ever been. But even though technology will always change, a one on one phone call still remains. Everything AT&T has been connecting people for 150 years. That's too many conversations to count. And so many of life's biggest moments start with the phone call. I remember when I received a call from my agent in 2002 to let me know I'd been called up from the G League. It was one of the greatest, most exciting calls. It finally came. I was waiting on it for about three months and it finally happened. And it changed my life from there. I went on to win a championship and start this amazing show that we're talking about now. From 1876 to 2026. No matter what you need to talk about, AT&T keeps us connected.

Connecting changes everything. AT&T a point here that is so dumb. Within hours, police allege. Right within hours of leaving the Dallas studio, some of the defendants. So not Pooh Shiesty, not big, not big 30. But the other people they had there with them begin posting some of the jewelry that was recovered or that was robbed from the victims on social media. So there is a Rolex watch that was posted to a social media account. There's and then there's a second watch in a 1017 chain. Now, police are the feds. They're pretty sure about the information that they have, and they've outlined some of the evidence that that establishes Pooh Shiesty, Big 30, Pooh Shiesty's father, and the rest of these young men as being connected to the crime. I have it here in documents. But the federal agents also talked about that in a press conference. Let's take a listen.
C
Within hours of leaving the Dallas studio, a number of the defendants were on social media displaying some of the items that appeared to be the jewelry that had been robbed from the victims. The charging document outlines some of the evidence, just some, establishing the defendant's roles in the federal offense. Turing data placing Williams Jr. At the offense location, which would put him in violation of his home detention conditions. Cell phone records and license plate reader data corroborating the coordinated travel of multiple defendants from Memphis, Tennessee to Dallas. Rental car records confirming Williams senior rented a vehicle that was used by the group. Surveillance footage from the offense location, a nearby office supply store and a hotel where several of the defendants stayed following the offense. Fingerprint evidence as well that was recovered from the crime scene matching at least two of the defendants. Social media posts by defendants displaying what appears to be stolen property just in the days following the offense. Greyhound bus records confirming the travel of multiple defendants from Dallas to Memphis the day after the offense.
A
Y' all not. They on cell phone records. There's photos in this complaint of them entering leaving studios. Rental car records confirming Pooh Shicey's dad returning a car. Social media, like, I. To be honest with you guys, and again, I am waiting for some more information right now so I can kind of fill in some. Some blanks because there are so many questions. This is like, this is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Like, literally, regardless of who the music executive is and or is not, Pooh Shiesty is a big enough name to know damn well he shouldn't be moving like this contract dispute or not, because that's the conversation that what. What was being reported and what, you know, the federal agents are saying in this press conference is that all of this was because Pooh Shiesty wanted out of a deal or something. Contractual, baby. It's not that. Get you an attorney. All that money, yo. All the money that be spread across Pooh Shiesty Instagram, and he can't just go get an attorney and fight it out and duke it out. And I know you know, like, that's a lengthy process, but sitting in jail for the rest of your life is too. There will be more here, y'. All. This is breaking news, literally. There will be more here. I'll be updating here on the the podcast, the Latest with Lauren LaRosa, also via the Breakfast Club and social media as well. I'm Lauren LaRosa. Everywhere L O R E n L O R o yeah, Guys, this. This is insane. I'm Lauren LaRosa. This has been another episode of the Latest with Lauren LaRosa.
