Welcome to the carpool podcast with Kelly. You know, when we're outside with the kids, I'm like, heidi, I'll jump on the trampoline with you. Like, what if I just got on the trampoline? And then the other day, like, all the kids were off the trampoline, but, like, I hadn't had my 10 minutes and, like, Tyler walks by.
Liz
What are you doing? And Liz, anytime a new nurse or someone would come in, they'd be like, how's he doing? He's like, it's a girl. She's just in her brother's shirt.
Kelly
She threw off your mom. Time off starts now. Welcome back to the carpool podcast with Kelly and Liz. Hey, Liz.
Liz
Hi. I feel, in case you missed it, I spent the weekend in the ER and the hospital. Not me. Well, I did, but it was for Sloan. And I am just, like, now coming to a moment where, like, my kids are with their father. I have a moment to debrief, and I'm just happy to be back. Back on the mic. What a freaking whirlwind.
Kelly
I mean, why don't you just, like, kind of get into. I know you, like, want to get into the story.
Liz
I want to say. I want to say a little bit about it. Probably more than a little bit about it, because there is something that now I will always check for.
Kelly
Me, too.
Liz
And gosh, you just don't know what you don't know. Like, last week I. Last week I didn't know anything, and now I know so much about, like, infections and stuff. Okay, so I'm just gonna get into it because I was, like, so vague on my stories, and I know everyone was really kind and, like, curious. So. Yeah, so Sloan ended up in the ER and then we ended up being hospitalized for two nights. It started as, let's see, Thursday. She had, like a. Like, woke up with, like, a low grade fever. I'm like, okay, whatever. No big deal. By the end of the night, it turned into, like, 102, and I'm like, okay, I'll. You know, we just had the flu, so, like, I'm kind of used to, like, a 104, you know, like, I feel like I'm. I'm around fevers a lot, so I'm like, okay, I'll call. You know, I'll get a doctor's appointment first thing in the morning, 9:30. The next morning, I take her to the. To the doctor. And this is where I feel like my pediatrician.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
We're.
Liz
We're going to be looking for a new Pediatrician. This is not the only reason. There's other reasons, but this was kind of like the final nail in the coffin for me. I take her to the pediatrician, and I'm like, hey, I think she has an ear infection. Because I have, like, one of those ear things, and. And I could see her infection. She's like, okay, yep, she's got an ear infection. We're gonna go ahead and put her on this antibiotic, but it's not amoxicillin. Has she have any bad reactions to amoxyl? And I'm like, no, she's. No, she takes. She's had amoxilin. That's fine. She's like, okay, whatever. We know we're just gonna give her this different one that's specific only for ear infections or something. I'm like, okay, well, I guess that's fine. What she didn't do and what. Why I think we could have avoided hospitalization is she did not do. She didn't, like, check her glands or her lymph nodes, I should say. That's the right word, lymph nodes. And, you know, it's like, even at a well visit, they check your kids lymph nodes. I'm like, chill out. Like, you don't need to, like, check your lymph nodes. Like, they're fine.
Kelly
I was talking to Sydney about this, and she's like, the only thing I remember about the pediatrician is that they always touch your neck.
Liz
They always touched your neck. So they didn't do that. And then they didn't just, like, prescribe me amoxicillin, which, like, we recently switched this pediatrician because we're like, you know, pediatricians are so freaking hard to find, which is another topic I want to get into later. Every other pediatrician would be like, oh, ear infection. Amoxicillin. Because, you know, if there's anything else going on, amoxicillin will kill that too. And so the next day, she is. So, no, even later that day, she cannot be put down. I pulled out a baby carrier that I have stored away for months because she cannot be set down. She's so uncomfortable. She's so unlike herself. I was like, this girl, like, Tylenol is not helping. Motrin's not helping. This girl had the flu a few months ago, and it's like, you give her some Motrin, then she's like, going around playing like, I'm seeing sparks. My daughter. I'm not seeing any of my daughter. So we didn't have our nanny this week. So like, I just had a lot of one on one time with the kids. So then the next day, Friday. Oh, so then that night, she throws up. And I'm like, okay.
Kelly
I don't know.
Liz
Kids throw up for like, random reasons. Maybe it's this new. Maybe it's a side effect to this antibiotics she didn't have. Like, the throw up didn't really strike me as that big of a deal. I'm like, let's just keep monitoring her or no, I'm sorry. It did strike us as a big deal. Maddie called the doctor the next day, told him that she threw up. Was expecting to receive a call later. I'm like, have to get my kids out of my house. So I take them to mom's house because I don't want to take her anywhere else because she's like, sick and
Sponsor/Ad Reader
she throws up at mom's house.
Liz
And now I have experienced a full blown at f pies Throw up. Like, I am throw up is disgusting. But like, I can handle throw up. Something about the way that she looked and the way she threw up. I immediately called Maddie and I'm like, you need to leave. Like, I need you here right now. I would never just like, call my husband to like, leave work. I just like, alarms are going off in my head. And two hours pass, the doctor still hasn't called us back. So now we're like pissed. And so Maddie calls the doctor again. And while he's on the phone with the doctor, they're like, you know, try the brat diet, you know, like they're not giving us anything. My mom looks at her and she goes, the left side of her faces of her neck is swelling. And I'm like, oh my gosh, you're right. Maddie's hangs up on the doctor. We're going to the er. Turns out she had an infected salvillary gland. Had the doctor, the pediatrician, originally. I'm speculating here, but I'm a pissed off mom, so give me some grace. Had the doctor, I think felt her lymph nodes, they would have felt this hard, infected gland because it felt like a rock. It was like. It felt like a rock. And I have to imagine it was there the day before. And I had they checked them maybe, and may, I'm speculating maybe had they given us amoxicillin, she wouldn't have had to been hospitalized. Anyway, we get to the Maddie takes her to the er. Her like white blood cell count and her CRP counts are like high. And they tell us that we need to get her on an IV antibiotics, stat. And if those do not help, then she will need surgery to drain this out, this infected salivary gland. So two days of antibiotics in the hospital, two days of wondering, are we going to need surgery? Are we not Antibiotics ended up doing their thing. Hospital stay was horrible. The nurses and doctors were wonderful, but she was so uncomfortable. It was just horrible.
Kelly
Yeah.
Liz
And so anyway, they don't know how she got an infected salvillary gland. No one has really good.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
A good answer.
Liz
There's like a few, like, things floating around, but, like, it's not like one of those things that are like, oh, sometimes kids just get this, like. So I say that to like, not worry people because I don't think it's like a super common thing that just like, happens to kids randomly. However, in the same way that I was like, oh, she has a fever. Let me check her ear. I will also be checking lymph nodes and necks and anything that feels off.
Kelly
Yeah. And I also feel like, just in my experience, like, I guess when we were living through all this, I didn't realize how high her fever was because I. In my experience, I've never seen like an ear or a tooth fever get above like 100 point something. Like, when it's like as high as her fever was. Like, we. I think that I. Moving forward, like, that will send off more alarms for me. Like, it could just. I think there's a reason, like, to have a 102, 103 fever.
Liz
Like, especially. Especially with like, no other. She didn't have any cold symptoms. Like, she wasn't sick. So that I agree. For me, also, it's like, if there's. Because if it's like a cold symptoms, then okay, maybe they're like getting the flu or a viral infection or. But there was no cold symptoms.
Kelly
Yeah.
Liz
And she had 102 fever, bacterial infection. That's like, going to be my new. Like, yeah. Things that I did.
Kelly
Well, it's really frustrating when you feel like, I mean, like when you did the right thing and took her to your pediatrician. And. Yeah, I, like, I. I kept like telling Mom. I was like, I don't understand how yesterday she was at the pediatrician and today she's being admitted to the ER to stay overnight. Like, how did that not. I think there's a level of it, like, that does move fast.
Liz
There was a level of it that does move fast. Because the questions that the doctor was asking me, they're like, has she eaten? I'm like, yeah, she ate a Little bit yesterday. The rest of that day didn't eat. The rest of the next day didn't eat. So, like, things were progressing, and, like, I. There's a level of it that I think is no one's fault. There's a level of it that I think is my fault, and there's a level of it that I think is my pediatrician's fault. But I can't be pissed at myself. I can't be pissed at nobody, so I can't be pissed. Pediatrician. And again, this was not, like, the only thing that. That has happened with our pediatrician. I just feel like they don't listen to me. What? I got a whole shoe of things, but, yeah, so that's what happened with Sloan. So we'll always just be checking. We'll be checking lymph nodes.
Kelly
But you're home now.
Liz
We're home now. She's doing a lot better, but, yeah. Dude, there's just nothing worse than seeing your kid in the freaking hospital.
Kelly
Yeah. No, I mean, hospital stays are horrible.
Liz
And it was only two nights, like. I know, I know, I know. I know.
Kelly
It's really tough. So all to say, Elizabeth will not be joining me in NYC this week.
Liz
I know.
Kelly
So I feel like that means, like, kind of, like pressure's on for, like, you to drop a solo pod on Friday. Because, like, I dropped a solo pod last week.
Liz
Yeah. What do you. What do people want to hear from me? Gosh.
Kelly
To keep the ball rolling. I don't know. Just, like, something. That's something to think about, you know?
Liz
Yeah, I know for sure. You know, we. I should.
Kelly
Yeah. Maybe you can, like, find a guest or something. Kind of like, world's your oyster.
Liz
Yeah. Okay.
Kelly
My weekend was not nearly as eventful as yours. I kind of just felt like the helpless sister. Like there was nothing I could do.
Liz
I know. And you love to do something.
Kelly
I was, like, grasping at straws to do something.
Liz
I'm like, I'll take your dog for the weekend. Like, what can I do? Kelly just wants to be helpful, and I'm like, I'm sorry, girl. You're just gonna have to suffer on the sidelines.
Kelly
I know. I hated that. And sometimes I hate that. Like, I have all these kids, and, like, I can't be the sister I know that you need sometimes because, like, I have to be a mother, and I just don't always like that. But I do feel as though, like, I'm on the back nine of this whole, like, I can't leave my kids in a hurry.
Liz
Yeah.
Kelly
And then, you know, Tyler can handle it. Like, I mean, we are so close to, like, wow.
Liz
I mean, I like, watch people's Instagrams, like, nap time. Kitchen is a great example. Just like, her kids are older, she's, you know, thriving.
Kelly
Like, no. Wow.
Liz
It looks wonderful. I try to remind myself of that, that, you know, you always say you can't compare your start to someone else's middle. Like, wow, you. That's like the most true sentiment in early motherhood.
Kelly
And I was kind of talking to some friends because I have some friends who are like, you know, basically trying to decide, like, are they done or are they not done? And I was like, here's, like, here's the honest thing to think about. Like, at the end of the day, we all get there. Like, we all get to a place where we get our kitchens back and, you know, our kids are independent. Like, we all get there. No matter how many kids you have, eventually you get there. It's just, how long do you want to take to get there, you know? Okay, so it's like you, like, we will all end up in the same spot at least even when our kids are just still in the house. Like, once your kids are grade school age, of course there's more. Of course, sometimes, you know, four grade school age children could, you could argue it could be harder than two. You could also could argue it'd be easier than two. We all get there.
Liz
Yeah.
Kelly
How long do you want to take to get there?
Liz
Yeah, no, for sure. We really seem to take the scenic route sometimes, I guess.

k12.com carpool before we move on, can I just say like I wanted to bring up my point about pediatricians really quick.
Kelly
Oh yeah, yeah yeah yeah.
Liz
Okay. So I am so lucky that I have a platform that I can say hey, send me your pediatrician in St. Louis and people can message me. I had so many people message me like similar places that I had looked at the reviews on Google and like they weren't as high. They were like a 4.5 out of 5 4.3 15 reviews. I was like obviously it's your kid, you Want a five out of five place. Like, you know, you don't want anyone who's had bad experience there. But these reviews, there's only ever 15 of them. They're only ever from like maybe three weeks ago or then also four years ago. We need, we owe it to all the parents out there to go write reviews on our pediatricians right now. Good or bad. Because a lot of times people only go for the better. They go if they have like a crazy amazing experience. We need to up the reviews to the pediatricians because it's so hard to find one. And you need to say, I have felt, heard, I have felt this, I had done this, this is what they did. Because I'm lucky that now I have like a list of ones I'm going to go look at based on who recommended them so many times.
Kelly
Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. No, this is such a good topic and it really, you know, like similarly to how important it's going to be for all of you guys to come review your car on our new website launches. Like, you just review everything you own. Like, it's just, it's a sir. It is your like civic duty.
Liz
I mean you don't need to review everything you own. Like, we don't need to review every Amazon product. We don't need to review every restaurant.
Kelly
We've been doing a couple of.
Liz
I think you should do something like, okay, if you're not a review person, like, I'm not a review person. I'm not going to go out of my way to go write a review on a restaurant or Amazon product. Things I should. Things that like really matter. Doesn't matter. If you have a bad meal at a restaurant, you'll get over it. Things that matters, the person who's in charge of your child's health and to your point, the car that is keeping your child safe and that is transporting your kids. Like, these are big purchase. Car's a big purchase. Pediatrician is a big deal. These are important things that we should use our voices for.
Kelly
But you know who like is my favorite person in the world? The people who leave reviews on like Rent the Runway or Nuuly. With photos. Yeah, with photos. Like thank you. Yeah, thank you.
Liz
I think especially if you have a unique body type of your super short, if you're super tall, if you're anywhere in the supers, anywhere. I think like, I think it's, I think it's helpful because. Yeah, I, I agree. I like, I always sort like 5, 10 and above because I'm trying to Figure out if this is going to work on me or not.
Kelly
Well, anyway, thank you for updating us. We're so glad Slow is feeling better.
Liz
Yeah, me too.
Kelly
Yeah. Like I said, my weekend wasn't quite as eventful. We had a fun little night out with Tyler's sisters and all their husbands. So Tyler has three sisters, so there was eight of us. And we just went to, like, the farm and made a kid free meal. But, like, people who had babies nursing babies could still bring their babies. So two of them had young babies. And it was just like, an amazing vibe. Like, it's so fun to be at places. I normally. I say this all the time. I love going to places. I'm normally with kids without kids because I feel like I'm in a new place because I'm experiencing it differently.
Liz
Yeah, that's so true. You know, and with the people differently, like, you're actually maybe talking, having more in depth conversations that you otherwise wouldn't have had because there's a kid pulling on you.
Kelly
Totally. So we had a blast. Mom and dad kept all four of my kids, which was fun for them.
Liz
I think that's a first for them.
Kelly
Oh, it is a first. Yeah.
Liz
Mm.
Kelly
Mm. She said they were good. I don't think she'd tell me otherwise. They had all intentions of making it to church with all four. I, like, packed all four of my kids church clothes. They did not make it to church.
Liz
Well, to be fair, I did need them to, like, I called them while they're getting ready and I need them to pick up James.
Kelly
I know, I know, I know. So I'm not sure, though. Yeah, they. They did try.
Liz
Well, we'll use that as their excuse.
Kelly
And it's Holy Week.
Liz
Shout out. Holy Week.
Kelly
Shout out. Holy Week.
Liz
I know we didn't make it to Palm Sunday. It was, like, obviously. But I was, like, so bummed. I'm like, it's such a good one.
Kelly
It's such a pump. Pump Sunday is, like, such a good one. They have, like, that good reading where, like, there's, like, a narrator and, like, the priest is like, Jesus. And it's like, kind of a play.
Liz
Yeah. And, like. Yeah, no, it's, like, such a good one.
Kelly
Such, like. And you get one prop. Like. Yeah. It was all fun.
Liz
Yeah.
Kelly
So anyway, big week ahead. I'm New York. Holy Week. I also, like, haven't shared this, but something so exciting on Friday is Tyler's actually becoming Catholic.
Liz
Oh, this Friday is.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
Yeah.
Kelly
So, like, Tyler's actually not Catholic. We got married Catholic. But We've been on. I think Elizabeth and I, one day will do, like, a big, like, faith podcast optional listen, because I know not all of you are interested, but I would love to kind of, like, take everyone through, like, the last five years of my life. Five years of. Not even seven years of my life. But also say yes. Tyler is officially becoming Catholic.
Liz
So it's really exciting.
Kelly
Yeah, it's so exciting. So that's on. Sorry, Saturday.
Liz
Huge, huge, huge win for the Catholics. I know.
Kelly
So that was our weekend, and then, you know, just had some good fun and family time. I've got kind of a new, like, I. So I've really. I, I, I don't. My weekend was uneventful. Oh, we got sheep. Sorry. That was an event.
Liz
That's eventful.
Kelly
That is eventful. We got three sheep. They're adorable. Smokey Bow and I don't remember the other one's name. And we get chickens today. Baby chicks today. So it's baby animal season over at Stumpy Farms, which is so cute. So fun.
Liz
It's, like, such a good Easter vibe.
Kelly
I know. Such an Easter vibe.
Liz
Yeah.
Kelly
So fun. So, anyway, that was my weekend, but I have, like, also discovered kind of, like a base model luxury that's kind of iconic, kind of goes off of what we were talking about earlier, which is, like, vibration plates. So I kind of, like, shared with the class that, like, I got a trampoline and that, like, I jumped on it and, like, I peed myself. And I was like, oh, that's really weird. But then I was like, what if I just, like, committed to jumping on the trampoline every day for 10 minutes? Like, what would that do to me as a person? Turns out so many things. I'm. I. Let me tell you, like, I have started researching adult benefits to jumping on a trampoline. Insane benefits. Let me read you them. Cardiovascular fitness, of course, without joint pain. So, like, if you have, like, joints, jumping on a trampoline is a lot softer in your joints.
Liz
For those of us, the joints.
Kelly
Well, people with joint pain.
Liz
I know you go, so if you have joints, it's like,
Kelly
they also say that jumping on a trampoline equals 10 minutes of jumping on trampoline equals 30 minutes of running.
Liz
So it's good for us, those who need time.
Kelly
2. One of the most unique benefits of jumping on a trampoline is lymphatic support. So the lymphatic system doesn't have a pump, like the heart. It relies on body movement. The up and down motion helps circulate Lymph fluid.
Liz
So I think that's what people are doing the vibration plates for.
Kelly
It may support detox pathways and immune function. Also, it will give you good deep core and pelvic floor. Good way to work out those muscles.
Liz
Okay.
Kelly
Mood and nervous system benefits. The rhythmatic movement can be calming, slash regulating. It releases endorphins, and many people report reduced anxiety after short sessions. And then calorie burn and metabolic support. 10 to 20 minutes can be surprisingly effective. It can support fat loss when paired with my diet, and I'm not interested in that. But all to say is, like, and you don't need a big one. So then I like, go to TikTok and I'm like, adult trampoline benefits. Everyone's sharing like, they're before. And at, like, this is. There's a whole section of adult trampoliners.
Liz
They're adult trampoliners. They jump on, like, little ones. Just like. Just like a mini one. Okay.
Kelly
Just like a mini one in their basement. So I'm just like, everyone, save your money on the vibration plate. If you can't get a big trampoline in your yard, get a little trampoline. Your kids can use it. And you just hop on it for 10 minutes every day. First of all, it's fun. Who's not smiling when they're jumping on a trampoline? No.
Liz
Yeah, it's fun. And it is, like, it does, like, surprisingly, like, wear you out. You're like, when did.
Kelly
No. So then I'm looking up trampoline workouts and, like, let me be clear. Like, it is a little hard on my pelvic floor, but I'm, like, going to jump through it, if you will.
Liz
For sure, for sure.
Kelly
So I know the other day. So I've done it, like, three days in a row. I just, like, you know, when we're outside with the kids, I'm like, heidi, I'll jump on the trampoline with you. Like, what if I just got on the trampoline? And then the other day, like, all the kids were off the trampoline, but, like, I hadn't had my 10 minutes. And, like, Tyler walks by.
Liz
What are you doing? I'm like, I just like hopping. Are you, like, are you playing a game in your head? Like, what.
Kelly
What's going on? I'm kind of just hopping. And then I do, like, feet together, feet apart. Together, feet apart. And then I try to go from, like, butt to stand, but to stand. Like, I'm playing. I look like a child.
Liz
So fun.
Kelly
So Anyway, when you come over next, we should do.
Liz
Well, I might come over. Oh, you're pregnant. Oh, shoot.
Kelly
That.
Liz
You probably shouldn't jump on the trampoline when you're pregnant. No, the way I would have, like I was coming over today, drop something off, Kelly. The way I would have jumped up there and not given this pregnancy a second thought.
Kelly
No. So, like, I'm just saying that's like a two birds. So, like, that's some. That's fun for the whole family. And good benefits for your kids.
Liz
All the same benefits for your kids.
Kelly
All the same benefits for your kids. I do think. I'm telling you, it's a mood booster. You get out there first light and
Liz
you're outside, so you're like getting the fresh air. You're getting the vitamin D. Like, yeah, okay.
Kelly
Catch me jumping a hip and a hop.
Liz
She's hopping.
Kelly
I know. I'm really, really enjoying it. So that was really fun. And then I spent the next. Then I spent a little time on my screen this weekend, kind of going down like an insane rabbit hole about this event called Barbie Fest. Have you heard of this drama?
Liz
No.
Kelly
Oh, my gosh. I love this kind of stuff. Do you remember, like, that fire festival.
Liz
Yeah.
Kelly
Thing. Yeah. Okay.
Liz
I feel so sorry. I feel so in the dark. This ER stay or this hospital stay was not like a cute, like, she's sleeping on me. I'll scroll my phone. The whole time, like, she was crying. I was holding her the entire time. It was like I did not get a. I'm so disconnected from the outside world. So this is exciting to hear something new.
Kelly
Okay, so there was this event called Barbie Dream Fest.
Liz
All right, let me look it up.
Kelly
And it was in Fort Lauderdale. It was this past weekend. And tickets range anywhere from like 70 bucks to like, they were selling like a $450 package. And it. They, they said things like, it'll have like an 80s roller rink. It'll have a life size Barbie Dream House. Like, it'll have all these activations. And it is the saddest looking event I've ever seen in my life.
Liz
Oh, no, I'm looking at a photo.
Kelly
It's in just this like, giant convention center. There's like no activations. The Barbie Dream house is a cardboard cutout. The roller rink is like cones set up.
Liz
Oh, it's so bad.
Kelly
It is so bad. People are. And like, then you got in and everything cost money. So, like, there was nothing included in your ticket other than just like one or two things. So, like, to take a Picture. It was money to get that. It was money. The food was, like, not really there. Like, people came from all over, brought their kids, and it's like everyone's calling it Fyre Fest 2.0.
Liz
Oh.
Kelly
And then, like, all these celebrities were supposed to speak, like, and I guess the celebrities did speak, but then, like, some people were like, no, they're not there. So I'm kind of unclear. Like, Serena Williams allegedly was speaking. I think she did show up. But then, like, some other celebrities, like, didn't come or, like, didn't do what they said they were going to do.
Liz
Here's. Here are the ticket prices. Price list. I guess it was multiple days. Day pass. Adult $66. No, 72, including fees. Child 33. General pass. So this. Maybe this is the whole weekend. $152.
Kelly
Yeah.
Liz
For children 78, Pink Pass. Whatever the hell that mean. Heck, that means $252. Dream Pass, $452.
Kelly
Yeah.
Liz
Special guests, Angela Reese, Madison Marilla, Emily Calandrelli. Chef Becky Brown. I cannot pronounce this person's name. Like, there's no one I've ever heard of.
Kelly
No, I mean, I. I had heard of some of those people. So, like, I don't think. But, you know, I know, like, one of the guests came out, like, anyway, it's just insane. Like, it was. And people are sharing, like, what the promo looked like versus, like, what, like, the Dream House photo op is so sad. Explore a larger than life version of Barbie's iconic front yard. And it's literally a cardboard cutout Astroturf. And that's it.
Liz
Who put this on?
Kelly
That's what everyone's asking
Liz
because it's. Yeah. Who put this on?
Kelly
So all is to say. And they're charging so much for these tickets, and I'm just like, you know, what event, like, would, like, the Carl motto show is 15 times more impressive than this event. And our tickets are, like, 15 to $20.
Liz
Yeah. Oh, my gosh. That's BarbieDreamFest.com.
Kelly
i know. You can't stop looking it up. Yeah, T. Anyway, I've just been kind of, like, obsessed with, like, watching people be mad about it.
Liz
Yeah, no, I love. I love that kind of stuff.
Kelly
Well, I feel bad for the people. Like, people flew there.
Liz
Yeah, no, for sure feel bad for the people, but it's like, it's kind of like a. It's like a safe car accident. It's like no one actually got hurt, but, like, it is going up in flames.
Kelly
Well, and I think the lesson is, like, they didn't have renderings of like, what anything looked like. So I think the rule is, like, don't go to a first time festival. Like, with the caramel motto show. Like, you can look up our trailers from years past. Like, it's going to be similar to that. So you know the caliber event you're going to, they're saying, come see a life size Barbie's dream house. But they're not showing what, that they don't have it. They're just telling you it's.
Liz
Yeah,
Kelly
yeah.
Liz
Yikes. That's a big. It's a good idea for an event, though.
Kelly
No, that's what I'm saying. Like, I feel like I could have planned such a better event. Like, how can you not just, like, make it work?
Liz
Do it.
Kelly
How can you just like, do it?
Liz
Especially when you're charging that much for tickets. Like.
Kelly
Oh, and they had sponsors. Like, Michael's was there. Yeah.
Liz
No, that's crazy.
Kelly
Yeah. So that was like a big chunk of like, that was a big chunk of my afternoon. And then I started watching Chip and Joanna Gaines. Are we. That's like the special on hbo. They're redoing a mountain house and it's really, really good.
Liz
Okay.
Kelly
It's like their house, though. So it's like fun to see, like, what they choose and like talking about, like their family.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
Oh, cute.
Liz
I do love them.
Kelly
Oh, and then I'm reminded that we're gonna maybe meet her in a couple of weeks.
Liz
I know. Well, we're speaking out at event and she is the headline.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
Who else?
Liz
There was like another really big headliner. Oh, we're speaking. Sean Johnson and her husband are gonna.
Kelly
Yeah. So like, not that you would want to come for us, but like.
Liz
No.
Kelly
Where is it?
Liz
Iowa. Yeah.
Kelly
Like, be there. Womenly change conference. Like joining.
Liz
Ask your work if they'll send you because I think the tickets are kind of expensive.
Kelly
They are. They're like 600 bucks. But like. Yeah, ask your work.
Liz
You say this would be like a really good opportunity, I think for me.
Kelly
What do they hate? Women in business. Like, that's horrible speakers.
Liz
Let me just read them for you. Joanna Gaines. Okay. Sean Johnson. East and Andrew East. Kirk and I want to see where we fall in the lineup next. Kirk and Mary Ference. I don't know who they are. Oh, number four, Kelly Stumpy. Number five, Elizabeth St. John.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
Oh, good for us.
Liz
And then just like some other. Just like, oh, this girl looks fabulous. Just like fabulous girls.

Today's episode is brought to you by Caraway. I have been trying to cook more at home, not in like a super intense way. Just making it easier on myself to throw meals together for my family. And one thing that has genuinely helped is my Caraway cookware. It just makes everything simpler. The non toxic ceramic coating means food slides right off, so I'm using less oil. Cleanup is quick and I'm not standing at the sink forever after dinner. Which, let's be honest, is half the battle. And it's not just me. Over a hundred thousand people have rated Caraway 5 stars. It's one of those upgrades that actually changes how you use your kitchen. I also love that when something is clean, I'll just leave it out on

use it because it's so beautiful that it doesn't need to be put into a drawer. If you want to make cooking feel less like a chore and more like something you actually enjoy, Caraway is a good place to start. all of those schedules, all of those meetings that I have in my phone. You can also add chores, grocery lists, reminders so there's no more. I didn't know I had to do that. Everything is right there.

I have something else I want to talk about that I'm really excited about. I posted on my Instagram. My part of my declutter was my playroom and just like the toys are ridiculous and I just don't know what to do and I'm very overwhelmed. All the things someone sent me, I'm not kidding, probably like 15 minutes worth of voice memos and videos. And at first I was like, I don't know if I'm going to like listen to all of these. However, she was so passionate that I was like okay, like I, I need a masterclass. And she gave me so many great playroom tips that I would like this girl, I would like to share.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
She just, she's a follower.
Liz
She's wonderful. She was so sweet. She is a homeschool, stay at home mom. I think she's like a few kids and you know, I just, I'm always looking to moms who are further along than I am in the motherhood journey because they've like, they've been through it. So a couple of tangible takeaways that she gave me, I think I wrote them down actually was number one and this is something I already did was to get clear bins. Whether they're clear, whether they're see through. She's like, here's the thing, ditch the esthetically pleasing ones because your kids aren't going to be able to go through the stuff.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
They're going to be bored.
Liz
If they can see what is available to them, they're more likely to go play independently. So that was, that was a good one. So my, I ordered some like mesh, mesh bins that will go with my IKEA thing that I already have because they, they come in like ones that have or they come in like clear mesh. The other thing she said was she keeps her, she organized her, she has a toy rotation system. It kind of just sounds like you have to do toy rotation. It's just kind of like the name of the game. But she only likes open ended toys. So she's like, for the most part, with exceptions, I don't have a. I don't have a toy with a battery in it. Because a battery toy is. They press a button, it does the thing, and then there's, like, nowhere else for their imagination to go. So she likes blocks, she likes animals, she likes Magna tiles. She did say. She's like, you know, she's trying to teach her son the Alphabet and, like, so she bought, like, a leapfrog toy for, like, an educational purpose to, like, try. Try and help with that. She's like, there's, of course, exceptions, but for the most part, she does not spend her money on toys with batteries. And I'm like, that's just, like, such a good. As I'm trying to declutter stuff. I'm like, this toy doesn't have a battery. This toy has a battery. Like, I also don't need battery toys for, like, a number of reasons. Like, are they gonna rule? It's. It's a category. So she does a toy rotation system, and her kids are a little bit older, so what she does is she have. She has the bins in her bas. And if her daughter's like, hey, I really want to play with these toys, she says, okay, well, go take. That's fine. She's. It's almost always a yes. Let's pack up one of the other bins, put that away, and then we can bring this one up. So they're never having more bins up than they need to. Like, they have six bins at a time or whatever. I'm like, very. She did not give me this advice. Someone else, that I'm very intimidated by the toy rotation thing. But what someone said that they do is they just have a seasonal toy rotation and book rotation, which I love. So it's like winter, fall, summer, spring, just have four bins, and bring them up for those seasons, which I like too, because, like, fall, I have Halloween books, and I don't want to. I don't want to hide the Halloween books in a. My Halloween decor.
Kelly
Like, that's my favorite. That's my favorite tip that you've said, because you always are. You don't want to have too many books out. They get bored of the books.
Liz
And like, sometimes, like, I'm seeing all the cute Easter books, and it's like, okay, maybe I want to buy an Easter book. But, like, I don't need an Easter book out year round.
Kelly
I know I. I've had the same thing. It's like, I. I haven't bought. I'M not a big outside of Christmas because I keep my Christmas books in and out. I'm not really a seasonal book person because of that reason, but I've just never thought about making it part of your rotation. And I love doing it by seasons. I think that's so easy.
Liz
I. I think I. That's where I'm going to start. Like, I'm gonna go get four bins, clear bins from Target, and I'm going to start with, like a seasonal toy rotation because that feels, like, approachable for me and that feels like I can dip my toes in the water a little bit. So those were some of the tips that she gave me that I love, that I thought were good, tangible takeaways. She gave me more. But, like, some of them weren't relevant to my kids ages yet. So that's where I'm. That's where I'm starting with the toy thing.
Kelly
I'm obsessed.
Liz
Elizabeth.
Kelly
I think that's going to really take you far.
Liz
Yeah, I hope so.
Kelly
Well, you're inspiring me. So I'm like, not as quite on a decluttering journey as you, but I have made some pretty iconic. How can I word this? I'm very into, like, I guess you could say, like, recycling things that I would have otherwise thrown away. And here's the example I'm going to give you. You know, that I'm always looking for. Like, you know, I like to have my car stocked, but I don't like to, like, inconvenience. I don't like to take things out of my house that I'm actually using. Like, I find that annoying. Like, I don't want to take, you know, a good pair of pajamas and then put them in the car, and they never get used. That's why I put my seasonal pajamas in the car. So, like, my Christmas jammies are in the car. And this weekend at the farm, we ran into a situation where, like, the kids were playing in the creek, everyone's socks got so wet. And I, you know how to change of clothes. I forgot to pack extra socks. I had one pair of socks on my center console and I was like, ugh. Like, you know, had to pick which kid they went to.
Liz
Yeah, sure.
Kelly
And then I was thinking, I'm like, you know what I have sitting in my laundry room in a drawer?
Liz
Socks.
Kelly
A ton of mismatched socks.
Liz
Oh, yeah.
Kelly
And like, I know darn well, like, there's mismatched socks in there that have been there for months. Like, the. The match is never coming up. I Also have socks that, like, you know, we've just lost. I have socks that Hattie say she doesn't like where the line is. I have socks that are, you know, too small for Fred. But, like, they're boy socks. Like, I really want to put them on Libby. Like, I have so many random pairs of socks, and I was like, I'm going to just keep them all in my car.
Liz
That's a good idea.
Kelly
So I took a gallon bag of socks, I filled it up, like, halfway, and now I have mismatched socks. And, like, I could. Like, what. Like, what is second life for a mismatch sock? Like, it's one of the best you can ask for.
Liz
No, it's so true. I agree.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
There is.
Liz
That's part of the decluttering journey. There's something that feels so good about reusing something. And that way, like, I'm so with you on that.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
Like, you feel lighter because they're out
Liz
of your house now, and now they're serving a purpose. And when that purpose comes, oh, they're gonna be the freaking hero that day.
Kelly
No, and I really do love, like, making sure my car is stocked. And I've kind of. I need. I was gonna film a reel about it, but I'm kind of, like, restocking my car for summer. So, like, for example, you know, I. I like keeping jammies. Now I just keep jammies for Fred and Libby because I feel like, Geor. Like, I don't. I. There. Whatever. I don't need to put them in jammies if we're out somewhere late. But I like having them for Fred and Libby. Everyone has. Well, I shouldn't say everyone. I probably need to do this, but I try to have a change of clothes for everybody. I have my mismatched socks. I have swimsuits in the back. I have a blanket because I liked your tip of, like, what if you're at a place where you need a blanket?
Liz
You know, you can always use a blanket.
Kelly
You can always use a blanket. Like, in the summertime, we could always use a blanket. We have the swimsuits just in case, like, someone ever forgets their swimsuits. Or, like, I never know where the summer is going to take me.
Liz
Yeah.
Kelly
Like, there's times we're at a friend's house and, like, they want to get the sprinkler out, and I'm like, oh, I have swimsuits. Perfect.
Liz
What if you go to the park and there's a splash pad?
Kelly
What if you go to. Exactly. So I like having those. And Then I'm trying to figure out what to do. I would like to figure out how to, like, hack the shoe market because, like, how many. I don't want to. I don't want to have four pairs of. Four pairs of extra shoes in my car. But very recently, we had a situation where, like, we drove to church and George didn't put his shoes on.
Liz
Yeah.
Kelly
And I'm just like. And I'm thinking to myself, like, George and had. You're like, kind of the same size shoe.
Liz
Mm.
Kelly
Libby, it'd be fine if she wasn't in shoes. Fred probably needs own shoes. So I think I'm gonna put, like, a pair of, like, cheapy shoes, like, resale shop shoes for Fred. And then we have an old pair of crocs, like a ratchet pair of crocs that, like, would be a little small for George, a little big for Hattie. But I think I'm just going to put him in there for a. Just in case. Like, this is an. This is emergency landing. Like, this is not. This is, like, people will be like, oh, I bet that kid forgot his shoes. But at least he has shoes and he can walk into the place.
Liz
Yeah.
Kelly
So I'm excited about that. But I really thought, like, the mismatched socks was kind of a game changer.
Liz
Yeah. The shoes thing. The shoe thing is tough. I'm leaning to, like. I think that's going to work for you. I'm leaning to, like, sandals, because I feel like sandals can be, like, really flat. Like, you can flatten them, but I need to. Yeah. Okay. I'm gonna do sandals. I'm gonna get some. I'm gonna find some resale sandals or just cheap sandals, because you can flatten them up. And also if we run into, like, the splash pad situation and they're in their sneakers, I can change them into these ratchet sandals.
Kelly
And I just think, like, when you're stocking your car, like, it can be with. To me, it's such emergency stuff. Like, I might even pack, like, if we're going somewhere, I might still even pack lib clothes in my diaper bag. Like, this is a last case scenario. And I also love to be helpful for if there's other people around who maybe need clothes. So something I do is, like, you know, like, if something gets a stain on it, if something's seasonal, it's going in the car.
Liz
That's what you're gonna wear.
Kelly
You're gonna wear a stain. Like, it's clean, but it's stained. But, like, it's this is the last case scenario. And then I was, like, kind of getting ready for, you know, summer, and I was going. Because it. It got hot overnight here, and, you know, I had two and two. So, like, I have to save Hattie's clothes for Libby, and I have to save George's clothes for Fred. But, like, now I'm looking at all these boy clothes that don't fit Fred anymore, and I'm like, I'm probably not gonna save these for Libby. And Fred has so many pairs of pants. And what does Fred need right now?
Liz
Shorts.
Kelly
Shorts. And my kids. My kids need, like, play clothes. Like, my kids are. You guys have seen my kids on Instagram. Like, they're feral. Like, they're always outside. So what did I do?
Liz
You cut.
Kelly
I took a pair of scissors.
Liz
Yeah.
Kelly
Because those pants aren't gonna fit him next year. So I'm getting, like, another. I'm getting use out of them.
Liz
Yeah, I'm. I'm here for it. I'm. I'm fully in support. Like, again, it's emergency clothes.
Kelly
Well, no, and, like, these are just, like, every day, you know, Every day, you know, we're at the lake, we're out in the barn.
Liz
Like, they just need to be like,
Kelly
I just cut them off.
Liz
Yeah, I like it. That's a kind of thing.
Kelly
Pretty iconic.
Liz
It's iconic. And, yeah, like you said, you're not.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
They're.
Liz
They're probably gross anyway. Like, they're not gonna gross anyway. Sale or like, someone else.
Kelly
The knee. The knee has, like, is worn, so cut them off at the knees. Now you have shorts.
Liz
I love it. We actually ran into this, like, emergency situation this week because. And I am so happy. I had just thrown in. I packed a dress for Sloan because I was like, well, that's only one clothing item. And then shorts and a. A shirt for James. Well, when I went to mom's house and Sloan threw up all over her shirt, her pants were fine, but I had to. I pulled out James's shirt and I threw it on her anyway. It was a dinosaur shirt. Obviously. Everyone in the ER was like, anytime a new nurse or someone would come in, they'd be like, how's he doing? He's like, it's a girl. She's just in her brother's shirt because she threw up. So sad. But it was fine. It was emergency situation. What do you want? For me? What do you want?
Kelly
Well, anyway, that's what I wanted to say. And now are you ready for industry news where I spill the hot tea going on in the auto industry.
Liz
Yeah.
Kelly
Well, I, like, wish I could be bringing you, like, what I think of, like, the new Atlas. And, like, what is Subaru launching? Subaru's being kind of. Subaru is kind of, like, dropped, like, a major story. They partnered with this influencer. I had never heard of her, but Sam called me, like, freaking out. She's like, this girl is going to be at Subaru. What's her name?
Liz
Is this her?
Kelly
Sarah Heron.
Liz
Sarah Heron. Let me look her up.
Kelly
So she was on the Bachelor, I guess, and now I kind of remember it because she is. She's missing, like, a part of her arm. Like, I believe she was born that way. And she, like, I don't know, has twins. And I guess she was a big Subaru fan. So then she posts huge announcements coming from Subaru. Subaru is adding two new vehicles to their lineup, and she will be at the New York Auto show for the big reveal.
Liz
Okay.
Kelly
From what I've teased, this is announcement for families will not want to miss. And then I get the press thing for the New York Auto show, and it says subaru is revealing two new SUVs. And I'm like, what is Subaru up to? So I will have known by the time this podcast comes out. So we don't need a lot of time on it.
Liz
Okay.
Kelly
We have that. We have the Atlas reveal. I believe the new Chrysler Pacific will be there. And I've heard Ford is, like, thinking about, like, just debuting something with an Expedition.
Liz
So it's going to be a big. It's going to be a really big trip.
Kelly
It's a big trip. It's a big trip.
Liz
Yeah.
Kelly
Anyway, here's the story that I wanted to share today. So this is so interesting. So Chrysler is kind of like. People are mad at Chrysler because it's. This is a story from Jalopnik, but it's all over the place. Stellantis slaps parking tickets on employees cars for Not Stellantis enough. If you work for Stellantis, you don't want to walk, and you don't want to walk at least half an hour from your car to your desk. You better drive a Stellantis vehicle. According to the Wall Street Journal. If you don't, your other kind of car will be regulated to inferior parking lots, adding a few thousand steps to your morning and afternoon commutes every day. If you failed to heed the corporate warnings and you park your outsider's car in the designated Stellantis lot, you will be ticketed.
Liz
All right. Yikes.
Kelly
And Then people were saying that actually
Liz
ticketed, like charged or fake ticketed.
Kelly
No. Parking lot security is said to be pretty lenient and they won't give fines right away. But if you do get ticketed and you keep racking them up by parking lots you're not supposed to, security will put a wheel boot on your car. What?
Liz
That's really bad. That's really bad.
Kelly
Yeah.
Liz
I mean, it'd be one thing if it was like a silly, like, fake ticket. Like, oh, let's just like, make fun because, like, you don't drive like.
Kelly
No. And they have a lot. They have a lot for, like non slanted cars. And it's like further away. And people on Reddit who like, work for scientists were like, that lot fills up really fast. So then like, you're forced to park in the lot and then get ticketed.
Liz
Oh, that's like, so gross. I can't believe they're paying someone to go around and ticket people. It's like, it's like a bad PR move. You're so. It's someone's job to do. I know.
Kelly
And like, if you work for Stellantis, like, you don't get a free car either. So, like, you still have to go out and buy a car. Like. Sorry. Maybe they just started.
Liz
I'm sorry. Cars are expensive.
Kelly
I know.
Liz
That's disgusting. I, like, hate that. That's like, really embarrassing, actually. Really?
Kelly
It's like. No, it is. It's really loser behavior.
Liz
It's super.
Kelly
And I know for a fact that manufacturers don't do that. Because when we've been to the Ford and GM headquarters, like, I thought. I think it's funny that there's like Hyundai's in the lot. But like, whatever there is.
Liz
Well. And you know, like, Ford will give, like, they do like a employee. I'm sure they all do, like a level of an employee discount. But again, you just started maybe like, you haven't used your employee. I'm sure when they go out and buy a new car. But people don't buy a new car every year. Some people are driving.
Kelly
They were just working for Hyundai.
Liz
And then literally like, that's what I'm saying. So embarrassing. They need to cut that out, like, immediately and issue an apology. Such loser behavior. Anyway, it's so embarrassing.
Kelly
So that's kind of. So that's industry news. Which I will. You know, we'll have a lot more. Make sure you're just following me on Instagram, because I was like, that's where all the drama's gonna be. Unfolding.
Liz
Yeah, for sure.
Kelly
Me and Sam are going. And now you're not going. So that means. Can I break my record of posting more than six reels in one day? I'd like to see me try.
Liz
Whatever. I get it. The events are different. I feel differently about the events because they're timely.
Kelly
Oh, okay, good. That's good to know.
Liz
So I actually. And also at that point, I am just, like, waiting for content, like, curious because I'm not there. So I actually don't mind.
Kelly
Oh, speaking of content, I hit 50k on TikTok, which means I'm halfway to my goal.
Liz
Oh, congratuls. That's amazing.
Kelly
Thanks. So hopefully this New York auto show really takes me over the edge.
Liz
And didn't you get accepted into the creator fund finally?
Kelly
And I'm accepted into the creator front and I can now put. Now I. And I can also do a Tick tock shop, but I don't really get tick tock shop.
Liz
I don't. Yeah, I don't know.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
Yeah.
Kelly
Should I tell you how much I've made off the creator fund so far?
Liz
Yeah. Because people can make, like, a lot off that.
Kelly
No, I don't think people make. I think people used to make a lot off of it and I think they changed some rules and now I think that's, like, not really a thing anymore.
Liz
Well, you know, because you see on Instagram, like, I just saw one the other day and it's like, it was horrible, horrible story, but it's like, press all four buttons to help support my child with cancer. And it's like, I don't think that does anything on Instagram. Maybe if they posted that on Tick Tock, if people, like, are interacting with their video more. But you don't get any money off Instagram. Yeah, you do. Not really.
Kelly
I get money. No, not real money. I made 360 last month off Instagram.
Liz
Okay.
Kelly
Okay. So on Tick tock, I've had 2 million post views and I have $53
Liz
in waiting for me in Rewards, Yahtzee and reverse. Oh, 53. Do you have to pull it out or what's Rewards? Is that 53?
Kelly
No, no. You're asking a lot of good questions.
Liz
Or is it like you can choose like a sticky hand or a calendar?
Kelly
No, I do believe I get that.
Liz
Okay.
Kelly
I don't know when it gets paid out, though. I haven't. But I mean, yeah, I gave me. I gave my banking information, so I think we're good.
Liz
Okay, nice.
Kelly
Yeah. So follow me. On Tick Tock, it is just like, it is just a different world there. It's very interesting. It's very interesting.
Liz
Yeah. You love to just, like, throw things up out there. Yeah, I do. I don't know.
Kelly
I'm going pretty viral on some things. I mean, one of my Recent videos got 4.4 million views. People say nasty things about me. So it's really fun.
Liz
What. What are they saying?
Kelly
Oh, you know, the. It's the same thing that we see on YouTube.
Liz
Yeah. These are people who don't get it.
Kelly
No. And, like, I just unfortunately don't have the patience. And like, I posted about, like, how that Grand Highlander is, you know, the seat belt is in line with the latch, so you can't use the latch and seat belt. And this guy's like, you're such an idiot. You don't use latch and seat belt. And I'm like, I believe you're thinking for a car seat, sir. Because, like, what else would be securing the child into place if not the seat belt? There's no harness on this thing.
Liz
Yeah. Oh, my gosh.
Kelly
You know, people.
Liz
So it's like. It's those. It's those types of videos. Like the car.
Kelly
Yeah, it's like. Yeah, it's just those size people.
Liz
Yeah. Totally hate them.
Kelly
But anyway, that's gonna be. Oh, no, we have just the drive through where we give you an easy dinner recipe to mix it up to get you out of it in a. Ruth. I can go.
Liz
Okay, well, yeah, I could just tell you what I'm making for dinner tonight. But it's nothing like, it's nothing legendary. I went to Chick Fil a the other day. Didn't dish to drive through there. I got their baked jalapeno ranch sandwich. It's a new sandwich. It's limited edition. Delicious would recommend. So I'm like, what if I just made baked chicken sandwich or grilled chicken sandwiches at home?
Kelly
We are always talking every couple of months, Liz. Every couple of months.
Liz
No, and actually, guys, actually, let me back. Let me change this. This. I am making that for dinner tonight. But now that it's nice outside, here is the perfect meal to have outside on a nice day. Grilled chicken marinated in Italian dressing.
Kelly
Italian dressing, of course. Of course. Caesar salad for some of us.
Liz
Sorry. But the primal kitchen Caesar dressing, I agree. Is fantastic. I wouldn't buy another one. That's the one.
Kelly
It's fantastic. Fantastic.
Liz
It's excellent. Watermelon and a salted. Salted tomato slice.
Kelly
Yeah. No perfect meal.
Liz
Maybe put some basal make either on your tomato slice.

Or even on your watermelon.
Kelly
You know, it sounds. It's so delicious.
Liz
It's so delicious.
Kelly
So delicious. Well, I'm kind of like selling like my, like, fun, like, diet. I'm feeling actually really, really good too. So that's, that's at least motivating, you know, like that I'm feeling good. And, you know, my diet basically consists of like meat and meat and a vegetable. Meat and a vegetable. Repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat. But I can have pork and I can have cabbage, so you know what that means. No cabbage soup recipe. Ground pork. It's on my highlights. Ground pork, ground sausage, a ton of cabbage. Chicken broth, yummy. Seasonings, onion, garlic. It is just like such a light. It's very springy to me. I can't explain why, because it's a lighter soup, I guess.
Liz
Us.
Kelly
So we've got cabbage soup on deck today at the Stumpy house.
Liz
And your kids like the cabbage soup?
Kelly
Sure. Not really, but they eat it.
Liz
Yeah.
Kelly
I'll make them like something else on the side. I'm all about, like, you're trying it and then you don't have to eat it. But the last two Sundays, Tyler and I have made steak salads for supper.
Liz
Ooh.
Kelly
And I used to follow this girl or like, I saw this on Instagram. This girl was like, yeah, every Sunday me and my husband make steak salads. And like, they, they, they get a little fancy with it. They're like, you know, some days we're doing like a grilled peach steak salad. Some days we. So we're not doing that. But I always have hard boiled eggs recently. Cause that's what I can eat. So I'm having, we're having hard boiled eggs. We had some par cooked bacon that I got crispy, a steak, lettuce, tomato, cucumber. A little primal kitchen ranch on it. And like, you're just G2G. And like, it's a steak salad. It's such a good Sunday meal.
Liz
And then I make it for the kids too.
Kelly
I make the kids like their own little version of a salad.
Liz
So like now let me ask you this. Are you putting cold steak or, or freshly grilled steak on your salad? I.
Sponsor/Ad Reader
It.
Kelly
To me, it's a. Choose your adventure. It's normally, it's normally cold.
Liz
Okay, so you made it earlier and then you're going to like, this was,
Kelly
this was leftover steak.
Liz
It's a good thing to do with leftover steak.
Kelly
It's a great thing to do with leftover steak. Yep.
Liz
Yeah. Because I agree, if you put a hot steak on there, the. The lettuce gets not really how you want it.
Kelly
Yeah.
Liz
So I do think it's a cold steak thing.
Kelly
Yeah, it's good.
Liz
Okay. That sounds delicious. That sounds excellent. I'm adding that to my.
Kelly
Kind of hungry for that right now.
Liz
Yeah, that sounds really freaking good.
Kelly
Well, guys, I think that's gonna be our episode.
