I'm really excited because we are going to do a two day workshop where I teach you Kabbalah, where I teach you these ancient, mystical, beautiful ingredients, secrets, tools, codes to how to understand the universe, to how to connect to God, to the Creator, so that you can become a vessel, which you already are, but a wider, bigger vessel. Because the divine light is always pouring in an infinite amount. And each of us has the capacity to be a vehicle for so much light, to reveal light, to reveal possibility, to create love, compassion, goodness, abundance in the world. So join me for these two days. It's a free workshop. If you are interested, if you want to quench that thirst in your soul, I think that you're going to walk away with some beautiful, amazing insights. And I think you're going to feel closer to who you really are. And if anything I say is true, it's because there's a part of you that knew it. And you will feel closer to the divine, closer to God and to your soul's mission. You can sign up@kathyheller.com workshop. I hope to see you there. Hey guys, it's Kathy Heller. Welcome back. So I am ready to switch things up. And it is a new year. There is a new year that just happened on the Hebrew calendar and we just celebrated Rosh Hashanah last week and we have just entered the month of Libra, which on the Hebrew calendar we call it Tishrei. But this is the month of Libra and this is a really mystical time. These days, these first days of Libra are what become sort of the DNA for the next 12 months to follow. And by the way, doesn't it feel like it makes sense that there is a new year right now in September? Like, you know that feeling of back to school, it feels like a new year. There's a reason for that, because it used to be that everybody followed this calendar. This is the harvest, this is the time of the new year. And the calendar was changed 2,000 years ago. But up before that, this calendar was the calendar where this was the new year. And so it's really interesting to kind of tap into kabbalistically, astrologically, like, why is the lunar calendar so significant for all of us? What is the energy of these constellations? And what is here for us? What are the seeds that we are planting energetically right now for the next 12 months? And so I want to share a little bit. And what I'm feeling like is that the next year I want to do episodes where I bring you this wisdom and I share this wisdom, and I'm feeling, like, really called to do that. So I'm going to be sharing some of that with you now. And if you guys enjoy this, then I'll continue to share with you through the episodes, like little pieces of what's going on energetically as we move through the cycle of the seasons. So. So this right now, this energy, there's two things that I want you to tap into. I want you to tap into the energy of full receiving, and I want to tap into the energy of certainty, and I want to share what that means. First of all, it's important to understand, and we've talked about this before, but I really hope that you start to digest this, that the first thing that God ever said was, was let there be light. And what that means is there is light that is constant, that the energy that is being poured into this world, this incredible abundance that's being dripped into this world, is infinite, and it's constant. And our job is to be a vessel for that light. And if we could really perceive that there is an infinite amount of light flowing and our only job is to be the vessel to receive it, then the question is, how do we receive it? And what is it that happens sometimes where we block it? And the truth of the matter is that that light is looking for a place to shine through all the time. See, our job in this world is to be a vehicle for the light of the Creator, to be a vessel for light. And we each have, as I've said to you before, that Rabbi Aaron said to me, we're each a masterpiece. We're a piece of the Master. We are each given a soul, and that soul is part of this infinite One. We are someone. We are some of the One. And so at any given moment, if we're not feeling like we are fully a vessel for that light, the question is, why is that? And the question is, how can we create the vessel so that we are truly being that light in the world? So here's what to know when we first, first of all, really, truly perceive that we will experience more of it. Very often, people are perceiving an illusion that there's just tremendous lack or that they're feeling some kind of this feeling of fear or doubt. And when we feel those feelings, it blocks us from receiving the light. One thing that's really so beautiful and powerful is that what the sages say is when we receive in order to generate more for the world, that is when it shows up in our life, we are not truly Interested in receiving for the self alone. We're truly. What makes us feel so alive is feeling that not only are we able to allow this light to come into our life. Abundance, love, energy, creativity, compassion, all the kinds of abundance that flow into our life. We don't only want to receive it for the feeling of feeling it, but we want really to be able to share it. Right? Have you ever had any experience that was delightful? The first thing you think is, oh, my gosh, I want to take my kids here. Or, oh my gosh, this is so delicious. I want to share this ice cream with a friend. Or, oh my gosh, this restaurant was amazing. I want to tell someone about it. Or, oh my gosh, I'm feeling so lit up right now. I just want to smile at the next person I see. Or, oh my gosh, I'm feeling so inspired right now. I want to tell somebody this idea. Our favorite thing to do is be like the creator. When we inspire someone else, when we shine light on someone else, we feel incredible because we're doing our job. And so we come into this world with a huge desire, which is healthy. It's good. Babies have this huge appetite for desire. They want to be held, they want to drink, they want to eat, they want, want, want, want, want. There's actually something very, very, very healthy about the desire, the pure desire to soak up this world. And what happens is over time, we usually repress, we usually squelch our desire because we're taught that it's selfish. But when we understand that, the idea is that we're meant to have this huge, huge desire, almost this insatiable desire for life, for light, for abundance, for love, in order so that we can then share it with the world, that is when we will see it manifest in our life. So let me say that again. Our job is actually to have a huge appetite for desire in order for us to receive it on behalf of, then sharing it with the entire world. And that is how it becomes manifest in our life. So that was the first thing I wanted to talk about that in these days, meditating on that. Meditating on correcting your desire, meaning whatever your relationship is with desire, making it right, meaning if you have a small amount of desire, no, it should be this desire that has a capital D. And understanding that the reason you want to have whatever it is pour into your life more love, pour into your life more inspiration, more creativity, more wealth, more health, is so that you can be an inspiration, a light, a vehicle for that in the world itself. That's number one. Number two, I said, is the idea of certainty when we have certainty. And I want to explain what the certainty is when we have certainty that there is a creator of the universe and that we know with certainty that whatever it looks like is an illusion. Because the truth of the matter is that this universe is not net neutral, it's net positive. And that God has set up this world in such a way that we are always being led to exactly the right place at the right time, that there is a constant stream of well being. When we have the certainty of that, then we will literally summon this incredible synchronicity into our life. And you will see miracles every single second, all the time. So a couple things that just happened just this week, just as we're right now in between the days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, which is this coming Wednesday night to Thursday night, which are these, these are the days of what we call the wet cement on the calendar. Because in, in the days of wet cement, you know, when you have wet cement, you can carve your name into it, you can put your dog's paw in it, and it sticks, right? These days, in between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, these first days of Libra, whatever is happening becomes the DNA for the year. And so I want to tell you two things that happened. Number one, about six, seven months ago, I was redoing two different houses in Florida. And I was having a conversation at the time with my husband then, and we were talking about this remodel and he was saying, it's so expensive, we can't afford this. You have to think about what you're doing. You're redoing two different houses, you're spending so much money, you're going to have a huge tax bill, and this is not wise, it's not responsible and all this. And I said, no, I just feel this is the right thing to do. And no matter what it is, it's going to work itself out. I feel like we need these two homes. I feel like this is the right thing for us, for our family, for our relationship, to have these two different homes. And I know that having them fixed up in a way that feels good for us and for the kids is the right thing. And I want to do this. And he kept saying, we can't afford it, can't afford it. And sure enough, this past week, we get a email from our accountant and they said, okay. So when it comes to this year's taxes, because we were supposed to, I think October is the time we were supposed to pay taxes. They said you wound up overpaying last year, so not only do you not owe this year, but you're getting a refund. And I said, that is truly what happens when you move forward, when you walk forward from the place of trusting your gut. That's the level of certainty where these kind of unbelievable things occur. Another thing that happened was we were supposed to leave New York on Thursday last week after Rosh Hashanah services. I was there for work and also for the holiday and we were supposed to leave on Thursday. And I get an email from JetBlue at 4:30 in the morning. The alarm was set for 6am I wake up a little early. I see that this email came in from JetBlue saying there's severe thunderstorms and they would give us a waiver. They were suggesting that we should cancel our flight because there was going to be severe thunderstorms. And they were asking us to change our flight so that we wouldn't be going to the airport. And I thought, what am I supposed to do? And then I thought, no, I'm going to have the certainty that we're being led to something else. And so for a moment you, you know, the part of us that goes into fight or flight, the part of us that's like this, this anti self, it just knows how to unseat us. It knows how to get us into fear. And it started to, you know, I started to have that feeling of, oh my gosh, what am I gonna do? Where am I gonna go with the kids? There's gonna be thunderstorms. How are we gonna get home? And then I have the kids get up just as they were scheduled. We had a driver coming at 8am we go downstairs and I meet with the driver and he's like, okay, are you ready to go to Newark Airport? I said, no, actually our flight was changed. I said, would you be able to drive us to Philadelphia? And he's like, I could drive you anywhere you want. So he had the nicest energy. I said, let's go to Philadelphia. And my kids were like, why are we going to Philadelphia? I said, I don't know. I just looked at all the different weather and Philly is the closest city where there's not going to be thunderstorms. Let's drive to Philly. We'll fly out of Philly tomorrow. There'll be clear skies. I looked at the weather and we drive down to Philly and, and we decide to Spend an entire day doing all this, like, American history stuff. We saw where the Constitution was written. We saw the Liberty Bell. We went to see Betsy Ross's house. We bought ourselves a flag. We did all this, like, American history stuff. And we had a magical, magical day. And we wound up flying out the next day, and it was clear skies. And my kids said to me, mom, that was so cool that we saw, like, where the Constitution was written. And we learned all about John Adams and Benjamin Franklin and George Washington, and they were like, God. We saw the actual chair that George Washington sat in, and it brought me to tears because I thought had we not gotten that email, we never would have gone to Philadelphia. And, you know, I'm 46 years old. I had never been to Philly before. My kids had never been to Philly. And we had this, like, magical day in Philadelphia, and we got home safe and all is well.
B
And.
A
And it's just so important that we constantly keep in mind that whatever is happening that we don't buy into whatever the mind tells you is a problem is an illusion, that we keep this level of certainty that we are being directed for the good and that there is right now in front of us something magical happening. And that is exactly why it's happening. And so there was a story that the rabbi told in synagogue, which I wanted to share with you because I think you'll love it. And the story goes like this. So there was a man. This is like a story from, like, a hundred years ago. And he was in a lot of debt, and he needed to go earn some money. So he left his family to go to a different town to work to pay off his debt. And so he was earning 100 rubles a year. And he left his family and worked in this other town for nine years. And each year he made 100 rubles. He had 900 rubles. And he was on his way back to his family after nine years of working, and he had the 900 rubles to come home to pay off this debt. And as he's walking, he sees this very, very holy, mystical man. And the mystical man says, I have three secrets of the universe. Would you like to know them? And he says, sure. And the man says, well, it'll cost you 300 rubles. And I'll tell you one secret. And for some reason, he just feels compelled. He gives him 300 rubles, which took him three years to earn. And the man says, the first secret is if somebody asks you which way to go, and it's left or right. Tell them to go right. And he says, that's it, that's the secret. He says, yeah, I have another secret. Do you want to know it? He's like, how much is that? He's like 300 rubles. He's like, okay, I guess I'm in this now. Here's 300 rubles. And he says, the second secret is if you ever meet a man and he's 80 years old and his wife is 16, make sure that you warn him and tell him to run for his life. And he says, okay, I guess I'm in it for number three. What's the third secret? He says, the third secret is if anyone ever tells you something and it's a rumor, don't believe it unless you see it with your own eyes. So he's walking towards his home, and at this point, he now has no more money. So all those nine years, it feels like there's no reason except he had this level of intuition of certainty. And he felt like for whatever reason, that is what needed to happen. He paid this guy for these three secrets. And sure enough, a few moments later, there's cops riding on horseback and they're running towards him and they say, did you see which way the thief went? We're looking for a thief. And he heard in his mind, the man say, if somebody asks you which way to go, say, right. He said, he went to the right. So they run after this thief, they catch the thief, they come back and they say, because you tipped us off. The man who had all of his money stolen found the thief and he wants to thank you, he wants to give you 10,000 rubles. So he got 10,000 rubles. And he's so happy, he says, you know what? I'm going to go sleep in this inn for the first time. I'm going to sleep in this little hotel on my way home. And he goes into the inn and he sees that the man who owns the inn is 80 years old and his wife is 16. And he's looking at them and he thinks, oh, something's gonna happen. I'm gonna need to tell him to run for his life. And the old man walks out of the room and sure enough, five minutes later, three masked men walk into the room and they're looking to rob and steal from this inn. So he runs upstairs to where the 80 year old man is and he says, something's wrong. You need to run for your life. You need to run out the back door. And he runs out the back door, which he never would have done if this man hadn't come out to tell him. And because of that, they go and get the police, and the police come, and they scare these guys away. And the old man says, you totally saved my life, and you saved the inn. I'm going to give you half of everything I own. Here's 50,000 rubles. And now he's on his way home to see his wife, and he has 60,000 rubles. And on his way to see his wife, this woman, she comes up to him and she says, you know, you've been gone nine years. Every night since you've been gone the last, like, two years, your wife lets a man into the house every single night. He knocks on the door, she lets him in, and I just want you to know that's been happening behind your back. And he remembers. The third secret is don't believe something unless you see it with your eyes. So he goes to the house, he sees his wife for the first time after nine years. He says, oh, my gosh, you won't believe what happened on the way here. I lost all the money, but then I got 60,000 rubles. All of these different things happen. He tells her everything, and he says, but I have to ask you, is it true that there's been a man knocking at the door at night that you've been letting in the last couple years? And she said, yes, it's your son. He was 9 years old when you left. He's now 18, and he's been working to help support us. And he knocks on the door every night, and I let him in, and the man starts to cry, and he realizes this is exactly. This is exactly what it's all been about. What we think is one thing. Usually the mind tells you a story when your soul knows there's such a bigger story being written and you're part of writing it. And so these days, right now, of Libra, they're so powerful. The reason that the zodiac and Abraham, you know, wrote this down, he was the first person, you know, the first book of the zodiac ever written was written by Abraham. It was written in Hebrew. It's called the Sefer Yetzira. They found it archaeologically in Israel in Beva, they found that he had written this first document. And the reason it scales in Libra, that's the symbol, is because we are balancing. We are coming into balance, right? And balance is receiving, really like allowing yourself to receive and having the certainty of what I just talked about. So I hope that you enjoyed this, and if you want more of this I'm actually going to be doing a two day workshop October 7th and 8th, all based in the wisdom of Kabbalah, talking about how do we manifest, how do we have the most magnetic life based on these Jewish Kabbalistic principles. And you can sign up for free if you go to kathyhoe.comworkshop I I'd love to have you there. You can tell your friends, you guys can come. And if you feel inspired by this episode, I'd love for you to share it with somebody. And if you haven't yet bought my book, my book is a great place to start because it really breaks down so much of these concepts and it's coming out in paperback on 1111. It's so interesting that Simon and Schuster picked that date because they didn't even realize what a perfect date that is for a book that's about this kind of stuff. But if you are going to be in Los Angeles, we are doing a big event that day to kick it off. It's an all day workshop on all of this beautiful conversation, a deep dive on Kabbalah and Jewish wisdom and all of this. And you can come enjoy that and celebrate with us. You can go to kathyhough.com celebration to get tickets and we'd love to be with you there. There's going to be some more events coming up and I'm just so excited to be diving in and like really doubling down and really teaching you guys this wisdom and sharing this on the episodes. So I hope that that inspired you and I also hope that from that you have a sense of how you want to direct your intention for the rest of this month and as we go through the months and I will be continuing to bring you this wisdom. What I also want to do right now is share a piece with you. It's a piece of a coaching call that we did recently, which I just thought was really, really helpful. You're going to hear me coaching this woman, Susie. She has an incredible story about how sound therapy helped heal her and inspired her to bring this gift to others. But like so many people, she was struggling to charge for something that feels so natural and so sacred. And this conversation is going to help you because this conversation we're talking about when you have a business, why it's actually so important for you to charge and not give it away for free. It's a beautiful reminder that abundance flows. And part of how it flows is allowing others to tap into it and to be in their own state of abundance. And I just thought that you would Find this really, really interesting. Take a listen.
C
Hi, Susie. Tell us about you and what's going on with you and how you're sharing your gifts with the world and how we can help you.
B
Okay, so I love sound therapy. It completely changed my life. It cured me from lupus and all these problems that I had. And I was so excited about it that I went around giving everybody free treatments. And I got stuck in the free zone to the point where I went to my friend's networking party. This was three years ago. I'm like, oh, this is great. I hand out all these cards. Everybody was interested what I did. And as I was leaving, my friend makes an announcement. Susie is so wonderful. She does these great treatments and she does everything for free after I sent out all my cards. So now it's three years later, she has me as a speaker at her event. This is just this past Sunday. And she always has people that charge a lot of money. So, like, this is good. She's got a new crowd in. I'm coming in. I took my money blocks class. I'm going to present. And I get up there and she goes to announce. I said, mall, I'm going to present a deal. You know, I'm going to offer people workshop $575 for four weeks. Then she goes, oh, okay. I want to announce you. I'm like, okay. She gets up. This is Susan. She's a sound therapist. She doesn't like to charge people, but we're going to pay her. That was my like, oh, my God. So it follows me. And then even when I started my presentation, I did the tuning forks and I. And I started go. Sound isn't just something you hear. And I wave these things. So I go, sound right, darling, I can't hear you. I had to start like three times, but amazingly I have six people so far for the four week program. And I think it's really going to take off. So I'm excited, but it was so funny. And I just feel like I can't escape this free thing with my friends. And how do you deal with that? Like, what do you do? Because I really, I love what I do and I don't like to charge. But now I'm like, I have some really intensive stuff. I can help people with that. I need to charge.
C
Oh, my God. First of all, you're very lovable and I love that you know a lot about sound. And the fact that you've healed yourself from lupus is such a gigantic quantum shape shifting, reality changing, mesmerizing gift. And I was just watching yesterday, Jason Shirka talking to Deepak Chopra on a live about sound and how that is the next. The next frontier of medicine. Of course. Of course it is. We know that. I want to say a few things, but I have been talking and I want to make sure that Jen has a chance to talk, and I know she cares deeply about this topic. So I'm going to let you go first and then I'm going to jump in.
D
Yeah, Susie, I mean, everything that Kathy said and you're giving us all the beautiful vibes without you even saying a thing. I mean, obviously, it's like my eyes were just drawn to you and to the screen because you're giving off this beautiful vibration of whatever it is that you're giving off into the world, and it's so beautiful. And then when it comes to money, there's a different vibration that's happening. Yeah, there's a. There's something different that's happening. So it's amazing, isn't it, as human beings, how we can vibrate it just like so.
A
Some.
D
Some things are so abundant and so easy. And then there's like this thing that's like. It's like a chunk. It's like a log. And so you're feeling that with money and you're aware of it, which awareness is everything. You're aware of it and you're consciously. Actually, if you look at it, a different frame to look at this situation with your friend is that, wow, look how different it was than the last time. Because even though she said the same thing, there was a shift, there was a change, which means there's a change for you. Now you're wanting to, like, change that complete station, which is what we're going to do. That's what we're doing. Totally changing the station. Because now you've got awareness. You're like, okay, it's still cycling. Let's completely change the station on that. So what is the. Like, I don't like to charge what is happening with. Because you still said it. You said it again to us.
B
Okay, so one of the things was two reasons. One is I'm so excited about it, but I also feel like everybody, we all have this ability. We were born with it. So I feel like I'm not really doing anything. I'm just pointing out, oh, you can do this. I show them how to do it, but then I feel like. And then because of that, I keep buying, like, really expensive equipment, like justify. So now I have, like an acoustic sound. Lounge. I have all these things to measure, you know, their heart rate, everything that's going on. I have tests that test your voice and tell you what colors and frequency you need. So I have all the stuff. So I feel like, okay, now I'm like, I'm more medical and scientific. So that's why I figured, okay, now I can charge. But there's still this part that I'm just. I'm not healing you. I'm just showing you what you can open up in yourself. And then there's also that part that if somebody comes in that's very sick. I had a guy that had a stroke, and I was charging him $10 a session, and I got him to walk after, like, without a cane after three sessions. And I was just so happy. So if someone comes in sick, then I feel like, oh, my God, they're weak. How can I say it's going to be the X amount of dollars? I want to be able to help everybody.
D
Yeah. So what I hear you saying, and Kathy, I'm going to let you weigh on. On this too, because we're getting into, like, your most beautiful zone is you've been gifted with the most magical bag of tricks. Like, you came into this world with such a gift. God was like, susie, this is yours. This is your gift. Show up in it. It's going to be so easy. It's going to be so fun. It's going to be so light. And you're saying to God, like, yeah, I'll show up, but, like, I'm not going to, like, fully show up. So this is your gift. This is what you came here to do. This is it. You don't have to work for it. You don't have to prove yourself to anybody. Like, this is the thing that you were simply bestowed on this earth to come and bring to other people. And it's like, you don't have to do anything. You don't have to do. You already said it. I don't have to do anything.
B
I feel, because all the people are coming into my life and I have this thing that I need to prove myself.
C
And.
B
And I met a scientist who's actually been on Gaia tv. He's done experiments with them, and he looks like Einstein and he's like my new best buddy. And we. And when I. We're on the phone, like, it'll be like a play date. I'm going to call you Glennie. He goes, nobody calls me Glenny. I'm like, glenny, we're going to have a Play Date. So he comes every Friday, and we're doing these experiments. I'm thinking this would be really cool. I'd love to do a podcast and call it Play Date. I haven't cleared this one, but showing all the scientific things and how amazing sound is, because I now I have a scientist that's backing it, too. So I feel like I have to validate myself.
C
I want to flip this on its head for a minute because I, I. This is so important that I really want you guys to really, like, feel this. Like a mic drop, like a boulder comes down in front of you. And that you never cannot hear what I'm going to say again. Like, you hear it and then you can't unhear it, which is so. In Kabbalah, there is an idea of bread, of shame. Okay? And also this is very true in other wisdom traditions. And I'm going to give you a couple other examples of how it tracks across many different wisdom traditions. But I want to start with this one, and then I'll peel back the layer so you understand it and you'll see how it's actually true in other wisdom traditions. We are not here to not fully know our own power. We're not meant to just consume. We're actually meant to contribute. And when we are being given a gift, energetically, we have to give back. If we don't give back, whatever amount we're given actually turns into shame. It has to be circular, energetically. Jim Fortin was telling me a couple months ago that we were on a podcast. He was interviewing me, and at the end of the interview, he goes, what's your. I lived in Los Angeles. He lives in Sedona. He goes, what's your favorite restaurant in Los Angeles? And he, like, writes it down. I go, why'd you do that? He goes, you just gave me so much wisdom and value. I feel so full. I have to give this back. So I'm sending you a gift card to the Hotel Bel Air. You will get it this week. I have to do that. I have to. To receive what you just gave me, or else it turns into poison. Our life force. Okay? Every human. Do you know what we want? We want to emulate the creator. Do you know what the creator does? Gives. If you have a child and you give and you give and you give and you give, and you do not give them a way to give back, they will hate you, they will resent you, and they will stop being able to learn from you. So giving them a way to contribute to the family, a Way to have responsibility. You take care of the cat. You make sure you set the table. Look what you did. Look how you contribute. That gives them more. And now whatever you gave them, they can receive it. We deny people their dignity and their power when we give them something for free and it atrophies and turns into something they cannot actually metabolize. Please hear what I'm saying. If you go into a Chinese restaurant, you see how people put fruit in front of a Buddha or a Ganesh or whatever it is. Same principle. In the holy temple days in Jerusalem.
A
People would bring sacrifices.
C
Why? Because in those days, all religions did that. I know it's so weird, but, like, go look into it. It's, like, insane. But, like, we've evolved as a species in humanity, okay? But they would be an offering to God, right? As if God needs a lamb. He doesn't need a lamb. But, like, at the time, people did whatever they could do that was their most pro.
B
What?
C
Tithing. Tithing is the exact same thing, right? It's like you say to God, the best of this crop, the first and best goes to you, right? The rest I. Why? Because it. 10 x's if I give before I take. You can't do it. Please hear me. From here on out. You're not helping. And I'm saying this, obviously, I'm saying it abruptly to, like, wake you up. I think you're adorable and loving, and I want to say something else about why I think you do it, because you definitely do it from a good place, but I'm telling you in no uncertain terms, you cannot do this to people. It makes people ill. That's the weird thing.
D
Think about it from your friend's perspective, too, Susie. Think about why she said what she said in both of those occasions. Why she said what she said could be because she feels weird that she's not paying you enough and she's not paying you as much as everybody else. So it's her own shame and, like, discomfort with the fact that she's not paying you the value that you're worth. That's why she's saying it.
C
Have you ever had an experience where somebody does something for you because they want to, and you're so uncomfortable that you're like, not only am I going to give them back something that's equal, but more. And then that's.
B
Yeah, all the time.
C
And then that's actually also weird because they're like, well, now you just made me feel bad because I did something, but you had to give back, right? Away and you had to give back more. So now it's like at Christmas, like, if there's a ceiling on how much we're spending, please don't overspend. It makes everyone else feel bad, you know what I mean? Like, there is a dignity to everyone feeling that they're in a state of contribution and we cannot take that from people. In fact, this is what's kind of crazy. Giving a person the dignity to feel that they contribute is almost more powerful medicine than anything else. So if they're going to receive sound healing, which is really powerful, and they also get the opportunity to exchange energy around that, which is in the form of money, which is a value for value, now they actually can get it. So that's number one. I hope I threw the gauntlet down. I hope you never don't hear that again. Okay? And by the way, I'm such a fan of this. I could make my whole business maybe about the generosity of giving and how tithing and giving and giving and I don't just mean tithing and tithing. I do that. But I mean, like, of course I want to help my friend just because. And then of course it comes back to me and this and that. Because the feeling of contribution is so powerful and good. And I also let you do it too. I want you to pay for stuff. I want you to come. I want there to be reciprocity. Like we're going to be at this five star resort and this weekend and people are going to let themselves enjoy it, knowing. But I, I paid for it. So I have an expectation. Oh, yeah, you should. It should be really beautiful. The food should be great and it should be five star and you should be on the ocean. You expect it. You should expect it and we should deliver it because you paid for it right now. Yes. The content I'm giving and all of that stuff I think is like way beyond what people pay for. But that's also the point. My point is that I'm going to contribute more than your possible wildest dreams. But it feels good and everyone feels like I don't feel like a schlub being here. I feel like I gave Kathy and in response she's giving me. And it feels very good and I really like it. And Jen says that to me. She's like, you don't know how much I want to give back to you. I want to be able to give you a referral because you've done so much for me. It makes her feel good and it makes me feel good and it's win, win, win. Okay. Now why also do you do that? And this is also equally important because you have an identity of being a caretaker.
B
Yeah, my family.
C
Yep. And so if you are in a double bind with your identity and your identity says no caretakers caretake. Right, Caretakers. That means, you know, like the women who took care of my grandmother at the end of her life, I mean, they were the most selfless people. And if you feel that that is your identity, it's very difficult to step into what is your true identity. Now I just like to go back to emulating the Creator because when we think about God and the divine and the way that operates with us, it purposely gives us the catalyst constantly in our life to rise into our own greatness. That's the whole fun of it. It's like, oh my gosh, I just went through this thing that was so hard for me, but it allowed me to step up into who I really am versus just sit on your butt your whole life and don't go through the mean girls in seventh grade. Don't deal with that heartache, don't deal with anything and I'll just care take you. It's like, please don't do me any favors. I don't want that life. I want to rise. I want to grow through things that turn to wisdom. Right. So the greatest, most powerful role models and caretakers in our life are not really caretaking as much as loving us into life, calling us up. If you go to a Dr. Joe retreat, which many of you probably have, he goes, if I see you nod off and fall asleep, I'm going to put my finger in the cheek of your mouth and wake you up. Like if I see you like that, he's like, please don't come to my retreat to go to sleep. I'll just kick you out of the room. You're not doing that with me. Like, you came to meditate, not to rest. Let's go now. That's nice, right? Because what he's saying is you just want. Did you just need a nap? It's not nap time. Right. And it's a powerful way to kick people's butt. And then he'll say, I'm so proud of you guys. That was a four hour meditation. And he makes it cold and you stay awake and he kicks your butt and you learn how to be in your awareness rather than going to sleep on yourself. You don't want to go to sleep. You didn't go there to rest. You went there to wake up. Right? So the people who really love us say, no, I really love you. So I'm going to honor what I'm doing and honor what's in you. Right. And so what does it mean to redefine what it is to be a caretaker? It's no more anything for free. Because what that really is saying is I don't see the power in you, so I have to hold for you as opposed to invite you into your power. And you have this power. And so I think this conversation is making a lot of sense. And it's probably divine timing why it took till now for you to be here.
B
But I know everything's lining up. I'm like, oh, my God, I can't believe I got on today, too.
C
So what do you think now about charging?
B
Well, I feel, first of all, now it took the guilt off because that was the thing too. There was like this guilt. So now you made me feel like, this is great because I'm actually doing them a disservice by not. So then that makes me like, okay, I have to charge because I do want the best for them. So that makes it so much easier.
C
You have no idea how many people I know in Los Angeles who have so much money and they ruin their children because they have no way to contribute. The kids can't contribute anything. There's nothing to contribute. And the parents are so enabling and they're like, but why did she wind up hating me or not talking to me or she's on drugs or something? Like, this person was treated like a non. There's no power in this person. This person's not needed. This person is just a consumer. No one came here to consume. We're not interested in it. So, yes, no guilt. It's the opposite. Here's the thing. Intention creates effect. Intention creates effect. Intention creates effect. When you're charging people because you just come up with a number and you're like, let's see if I can do it. I'm going to put on my Beyonce crown and I'm going to just go charge. Okay, fine, rock yourself, do what you want. But when you're charging, from what we just talked about, when you're charging, because this is really for the highest and best of all that are here, it's a game changer. And people can feel it in the way that you set that intention. And it makes sense and it feels right and it feels good. And then the check comes for this beautiful Michelin star dinner, and you're like, God, I'm so happy to pay that I really showed up for this experience. I gifted it to myself. That felt great. I'm glad I spent on those VIP tickets, that concert. That felt great. I'm glad I did that for myself. I enjoyed it. Good exchange, good exchange, Good exchange. Right, so it's time. And you're going to be charging now. And by doing that, you're going to be helping so many people be charged in such a beautiful, powerful way.
B
Thank you so much.
D
Like you said, when it comes to choosing what you do charge too. Like, what do you charge? Look at the room that you're in. You said she pays all of these other people really well. You're in that room not because she's your friend. I mean, there's of course, like, there's friendship, but she could have anybody else. There's lots of sound healers in the world. There's only one Susie. And she feels a difference because of what you create. And so look around at what those other people are charging who are in those rooms and adjust. Adjust accordingly.
C
The other thing I want to say.
A
As you guys are going to head into.
C
So you're going to go into breakout rooms, you're going to talk about what you do, you're going to see if you can find collabs, referrals, et cetera. I was going to say something else about the money piece, about contribution. When you let people give to you, it's a really beautiful thing. In fact, in Kabbalah and Jewish wisdom, it says if anyone offers you something, you always say yes. For instance, if someone says, would you like a glass of water? Let's say you walk into a doctor's office, a glass of water or whatever, let's say you're not thirsty, just say, sure. Thank you. Because giving someone the dignity to feel as though they just gave contribution to you is the greatest feeling that they get to have today. So you don't deny them that. Right? So you always say yes. Right? It's like there was a meme that said if a 2 year old gives you a banana and tells you to pick it up like a cell phone, you never say no. You're always like, oh, hello. Okay, I guess this is a cell phone. If somebody offers you, just say yes. Thank you so much.
A
That's so lovely.
C
Like, you're going to lunch with your friend, you mean to split it, she offers to pay. You know what? Thank you so much. Sure. I so appreciate it. I'll get the next one. Great. Done. You don't know what you did for her. That's the thing.
D
And for us, the response on their face.
C
Yeah, watch the response on their face. And this is the perfect conversation as we go into the next room.
A
Because when you go into breakout rooms.
C
And you talk about collaborations and referrals, what are you thinking? Oh, I'm so needy. Asking people to talk. No, no again. If someone goes to sleep at night and they feel as though they got to contribute to you and it made a difference for you, they feel like the creator of the universe because they just created something for you. So don't deny that to people and remember that. So next time somebody offers lunch or offers you a glass of water, just say thank you. Yeah. That's so nice. I appreciate that.
A
I hope that you found that helpful. I want to say a big thank you to Susie for letting us share this with you. We're going to have links in the show notes so that you can follow all the amazing things that she's doing. Here are the takeaways. Number one, we're not meant to just consume. We're actually meant to contribute. And when we're being given a gift energetically, we have to give it back. It has to be circular. Number two, the greatest, most powerful role models and caretakers in our life are not caretaking as much as loving us into life and calling us up. Number three, when you give someone the dignity to feel as though they just gave a contribution to you, it's the greatest feeling that they'll get to have. So don't deny them that. Number four, Abundance creates more abundance. The more abundant you are, the more abundant the people in your life will become. We literally become WI fi for each other. Number five, Our job is actually to have a huge appetite for desire in order for us to receive it on behalf of then sharing it with the entire world. That is how it becomes manifest in our life. Number six, we are always being led to exactly the right place at the right time. That there is a constant stream of well being. When we have the certainty of that, then we will summon synchronicity into our life and you will see miracles every single second. Thank you so much for being here and listening. It means the world that you spend your time here. If you want more episodes, make sure that you follow on Apple podcasts or Spotify. And if you're enjoying the show, please leave us a review because I do read them and it just means so much to me.
