Kathy Heller
How is good energy related to manifesting?
Gabrielle
If you're so negative, then why do you think anything good would happen to you if you have no positive mindset, like, at all?
Kathy Heller
You like people who come in. Yeah. And are a vibe and they're happy and they're there to, like, bring good energy.
Eliza
Everything is energy.
Kathy Heller
You have to be responsible for the energy you bring into the room.
Gabrielle
We know a lot of people that just come into a room and are, like, so dark and have such bad energy and it's, like, so hard to be around.
Kathy Heller
Feel a lot of people like that.
Gabrielle
So many, like, more that are like that than not, probably.
Kathy Heller
And they fulfill the same, like, whatever negative thing they think it just keeps happening because they are.
Gabrielle
They're, like, going as far.
Eliza
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Hey, guys, it's Kathy Heller.
Podcast Host/Announcer
Welcome back to Everything is Energy. I am so excited for today's episode because my daughters are here. All three of my daughters. That's right. For the first time in over a thousand episodes, I'm sitting down with my girls, Gabrielle, Eliza and Madeline. And just like that, here they are. It's just so fun to have them here and let you be a part of, like, a normal conversation, what it's like to just be chatting with them. In this episode, we talk about everything from caviar to our cats to watching Kardashians to what they think about phones, school stress, celebrity crushes, living in LA versus Florida. Plus, you're going to hear their honest take on my parenting, on manifesting, on what it means to have good energy and what they want in their own lives and what they want their lives to look like when they get older. It's funny, it's sweet, it's messy and completely unfiltered. You're going to feel like you're right here on the couch with us, so I think you'll really enjoy it. Here we go.
Kathy Heller
Okay, guys, we're just going to do something so fun. We're doing it this or that. Are you ready?
Eliza
Yes.
Gabrielle
Okay, here we go.
Kathy Heller
We're just going to do round robin, so I'm going to start with you, Gab. Okay. This or that? Beach or pool? Pool. I think pool.
Gabrielle
Well, like, I like looking at the beach, but I don't like going in the beach that much because I don't like the sand.
Kathy Heller
Also, P.S. how come people don't know, like, the beach in Florida and the beach in LA? Totally different.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Eliza
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Like, we lived in LA. I was here 23 years.
Gabrielle
You were here 14 years.
Kathy Heller
I've never once been in the ocean in LA, it's freezing.
Gabrielle
Well, yeah. Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Florida, like bath water.
Eliza
Yeah, yeah.
Gabrielle
But I just hate sand. That's why I like being near the pool better because, like, there's no sand.
Kathy Heller
Okay, beach or pool?
Eliza
I like both, but I feel like I'm in the pool more. But I like the beach.
Kathy Heller
Here's what I love about you. You plan your pool days around your blowout. You're like, this is only two days. So I think I need to wait because I love that you're nine, but you're just like, I need my blow dry to be up there in the priority list. Okay, beach or pool?
Madeline
Beach.
Kathy Heller
Okay, let's talk about your sunburns, though. Oh, how many times have you been like, no, I can't go to school tomorrow because wasn't wearing sunblock yesterday. True or false?
Madeline
Yeah, it was only like twice. Really bad though.
Kathy Heller
But so bad. Remember when we were to cut your shirt off of you? You, like, literally couldn't even have the cotton of your shirt touching your back. I know. And low key, like, me too. Oh, my God. Yeah. Your yad says that the first time I went to a dermatologist, first time was like a year ago. And he goes, you're gonna walk in and the doctor's gonna go hold my calls. Like he thought I was gonna have like a million things on me. Thank God. Thank God I didn't. He goes. He goes, the doctor's going to love you. He's going to call his wife and say, we're putting in a pool. Like, as if they were going to make all this money because I was going to have all these, like, skin issues. Thank God I didn't low key. Like, that's not even funny. But it actually is kind of funny for me. Beach or pool? I'm also pool all day and I. I like a really nice hotel pool.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Which is, oh, let's say the best hotel pool we've ever been at.
Gabrielle
Oh, the Italy one.
Kathy Heller
Yes, yes, same.
Madeline
It was the indoor and the outdoor one.
Kathy Heller
I can even remember there was an indoor one.
Eliza
Oh, yeah, in the spa.
Kathy Heller
Okay, but say what hotel it was.
Eliza
I forgot.
Madeline
I don't know, what was it called?
Kathy Heller
The Best memory.
Eliza
Mandarin.
Kathy Heller
You literally could work for the CIA.
Eliza
I don't know the Mandarin. I don't know who Kill me.
Kathy Heller
Wait, so what did we do? We went to Lake Como. Literally. We came up with a plan, like
Gabrielle
three days before we decided to go.
Eliza
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
And the only hotel that was available.
Madeline
It was so pretty.
Kathy Heller
It was so pretty. And what happened when we got there,
Eliza
like, it was the biggest storm.
Gabrielle
It was, like, downpour. It was rain. It was in this, like, golf cart, and it was, like, raining so bad.
Kathy Heller
What happened? We got in the room. What did I say? And you actually did it. What did I say?
Eliza
You were like, but we, like, no
Madeline
go something spiritual or something.
Kathy Heller
It was pouring rain.
Madeline
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Like, raining so hard you couldn't even see three feet in front of you.
Eliza
Yeah, yeah.
Kathy Heller
Sideways rain. And we wanted sunshine and we wanted to, like, have a Lake Como trip. And what did I say?
Eliza
Like, to clear the clouds. Like, to pray that the clouds will, like, go away so you can, like, see.
Kathy Heller
I go, guys, we're gonna manifest sunshine. So I was like, just go with me. I'm like, I know this is gonna sound cray cray. Just let's sit together and hold the consciousness and visualize the sun coming out and what happened.
Eliza
It came out.
Gabrielle
It's so. And then like 10 minutes later, it's so good.
Kathy Heller
I love me. I love that. I love that you guys just, like, go with it. I just love it.
Gabrielle
Okay.
Kathy Heller
This or that. Early morning or late night?
Gabrielle
Late night.
Eliza
Late night.
Kathy Heller
Is that even a. Who would say early morning?
Madeline
Like, you would you, like, go on a walk and you have like.
Gabrielle
I wake up at, like, I feel
Eliza
like I don't wake 11.
Kathy Heller
No. There's a lot of people who are in, like, the wellness space. We're like, I like to wake up 4:30. Five.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Like, Chris.
Gabrielle
Chris, dinner.
Kathy Heller
Doesn't she wake up at, like, you
Madeline
know, Chloe wakes up at like, 4:30.
Gabrielle
I would do anything. Like, going like, late in the night. Like, late lately. Yeah. I don't.
Kathy Heller
She. This one is a frat boy. This one stays at 2am I get a postmates notification. Someone ordered Taco Bell. I'm like, Eliza. True.
Madeline
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
What time do you go to bed?
Gabrielle
Like, you had at like, six, actually.
Madeline
No, no, that was only like, one time.
Kathy Heller
What time do you go to bed? Like, if you're left to your own devices, like, if you're just left to be you, what time would you just fall asleep?
Madeline
Well, like, it kind of depends. But like two or three, Right?
Kathy Heller
Two or three.
Eliza
I feel like I normally go to bed at like, midnight or like 1 to 11:30.
Kathy Heller
11:30. You go because you go to bed when I go to bed.
Eliza
Yeah, but also in the morning. Like, I don't wake up early, but I don't wake up late.
Gabrielle
Every time I think about what you
Kathy Heller
did the other night. So Maddie loves to say her prayers before she Goes to sleep, which is the sweetest thing in the world. So the other night, we didn't say our prayers before we went to sleep because she fell asleep. So then I turn off the light. Cause we're staying in a hotel, so we're in the same room.
Madeline
We.
Kathy Heller
I turn off the light to go to bed, and she wakes up and she starts praying to God, and I go, oh, my gosh. I just. I actually did it. I had prayed over her and me. And she goes, oh, you did it.
Gabrielle
Okay.
Kathy Heller
I go, you're so cute in the morning. I said to him, like, do you know that you sat up to pray? And then I told you I prayed? And then she's like, oh, okay, as
Eliza
long as you pray.
Kathy Heller
Why do you pray before you go to sleep?
Eliza
I feel like if I don't, like, I'll have, like, a bad dream. And once I didn't pray, I had a bad dream, so I feel like it, like, does something with my dream, so I don't have, like, a bad dream.
Kathy Heller
Do you feel like if you do pray, God protects you?
Eliza
Yeah.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Eliza
Because, like, the night that I had the dream about Bruce Jenner, I didn't.
Kathy Heller
Oh, my God. So we've. Let's just come out that night.
Eliza
I didn't pray. I think something happened.
Kathy Heller
Should we just tell the whole story? So over the last two years, we've become obsessed with watching the Kardashians. Like, guys, if you're watching this, we're obsessed with you. Like, we love you so much. Every. Like, the details. Like, we could go deep in. We've got the deep cut. Okay, so Maddie, literally, now it's in her dreams. Okay, it's in her dreams. But anyways, I'm not gonna go into all the details of the dreams, but I will say that what happened with us that we got obsessed with watching the Kardashians.
Gabrielle
Me. It was cool.
Kathy Heller
I thought I started it.
Gabrielle
No, I started it because, like, a couple of years ago, we would watch, like, the new seasons. But, like, I went back and I started watching Keeping up, and you guys, like, saw me watching it, and she
Madeline
was, like, the most behind True or False.
Eliza
We.
Kathy Heller
You walk into our house, there's three TVs going, and we're all seasons. Yeah, but it's what's playing all the. Do you have a. Do you have a favorite season?
Gabrielle
I like season two.
Kathy Heller
Why?
Gabrielle
Because, like, okay, I don't really know, but they're all, like, young and happy, and, like, Rob is in it, and it's like Kendall and Kylie Are little. And it's like, they're so cute. Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Do we have a favorite Kardashian?
Eliza
Yeah. Khloe.
Kathy Heller
Khloe. Did you eat her popcorn today?
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Eliza
Yeah, I am.
Kathy Heller
And who do you think is the funniest on the show? Scott. Scott.
Madeline
Yeah, Scott.
Kathy Heller
Let's give it up for Scott. I feel like he is just underrated. Like, I feel like not enough people call out like, he's such a good dad. We always talk about, like, he's so good with his kids. He's like, what does he call him? Raymond. His name is not then Raymond. Doesn't he call Rain Raymond? He, like, has nicknames for them. Chloe comes over and goes, you're just gonna let them jump like that on the trampoline? And he's like, yeah, Raymond, do another flip, you know, like, she's like, what are you doing? It's so dangerous. He's like, no. He's like, this is how I want them to be. Free spirits. It's so cool. And he's so funny. Like with his dog and. I don't know.
Eliza
Hershela.
Kathy Heller
Hershela. He doesn't have that dog anymore.
Gabrielle
No.
Kathy Heller
And Chris, I don't know. It's.
Eliza
Yeah. She wakes up at 4:30 and then goes to the gym at 5. Like her own gym.
Kathy Heller
Aspire to be the momager. And I think we all. This is very special. Like, we would all love to live next door to each other, wouldn't we? In the same gate.
Gabrielle
Like, no.
Kathy Heller
Oh, it's okay.
Gabrielle
You won't remember.
Kathy Heller
Like, Maddie will. Maddie lives next door to me.
Eliza
Like, how. Chris.
Gabrielle
Chris.
Kathy Heller
And Chloe.
Eliza
Chloe.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. What do you think? Not you.
Gabrielle
I don't want to be next door.
Kathy Heller
Like three blocks away.
Eliza
Okay.
Gabrielle
Like couple miles.
Kathy Heller
I don't know. I don't know.
Gabrielle
We.
Kathy Heller
I do need to say we were in Hidden Hills the other day because we've been looking at new houses. Did we or did we not see Kim K. Yes. Yeah, we saw.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Like, she didn't see us, but we saw her.
Gabrielle
Yeah, she was in her car.
Kathy Heller
Crazy. We were looking at a house.
Gabrielle
For reals?
Kathy Heller
Because we used to live in Mandeville Canyon. I love Mandeville. And you were looking at a school in the Valley. And we were like, let's go out to Hidden Hills and we looked at a house. It was okay. It wasn't our favorite. Wasn't bad.
Gabrielle
Community is cute though.
Kathy Heller
Community's so cute. And we get in the car, the realtor leaves and literally there she is. I was like, guys, like, she Was
Gabrielle
like, we were riding. Like she was driving. Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Like, it's just LA is kind of LA can be a vibe sometimes. But what the Kardashians don't know is that my OB GYN is Dr. Crane, who I totally have a crush on,
Gabrielle
was in the show.
Kathy Heller
Like, in the show. And Kim was pregnant with North.
Gabrielle
Same.
Madeline
She's like, I saw her in the
Kathy Heller
doctor's op with you. Or with you?
Gabrielle
Her. Her, her.
Eliza
Because north is around Eliza's age.
Kathy Heller
Also Pink, whose name is really Alicia, was pregnant when I was pregnant with you.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
And she was there. And Dr. Crane is the most non. Holly. He's from Minnesota. Yeah, he had a flip phone. Like, he wasn't even like. And he's the one. It's. Anyway, he was the best doctor.
Madeline
Oh, yeah.
Eliza
He's in the show. Like, he's in the show so much.
Kathy Heller
I just love Dr. Crane so much. Okay, this is such an easy one. This or that? Cats or dogs?
Gabrielle
That's not an easy one.
Kathy Heller
What?
Eliza
I like dogs more, but I like our cats.
Gabrielle
I like our cats, but, like, I don't like cats, but can you explain
Kathy Heller
what our cats look like? Cuz people don't understand.
Gabrielle
I like our cats, but, like, if they were ours, like, I would want a dog.
Kathy Heller
Explain what our cats look like, Eliza, so people understand how cute they are.
Madeline
They're like Persian cats. Fluffy.
Kathy Heller
The cutest things you've ever. They look AI. Generated smallest faces. Like, wait, should we say that we just renamed one of our cats and he's four. Is that 4k? Four years in, we're like, we want to change your name. Should we ask the viewers what they think? The listeners like what they.
Gabrielle
Yeah, we don't even know what to name him.
Kathy Heller
Yeah, so I said Matcha.
Gabrielle
Matcha's like, that's horrible.
Kathy Heller
But what did you say the other day that was good? What did I start with a P?
Gabrielle
Wait, I don't remember.
Kathy Heller
Yes, you do.
Gabrielle
No, I don't.
Kathy Heller
It's a foodie.
Eliza
Was I there?
Gabrielle
I literally don't remember.
Kathy Heller
Pickles, you said.
Gabrielle
Oh, pickles.
Kathy Heller
Yeah, yeah, I like that you said.
Gabrielle
Because I don't. I don't know. Like, I actually don't know.
Kathy Heller
That's. I don't like that.
Madeline
That's so, like.
Gabrielle
Because I don't like pickles.
Kathy Heller
And what are our other two cats names?
Eliza
And pancakes. Yeah, so it should be a food name. It was June.
Gabrielle
No, I think it's like too much of the food.
Eliza
It's like a lot.
Kathy Heller
Yeah, but wait, so you. Even though we have three cats. You're not sure if it's cats or not?
Madeline
No, no, I pick cats because I can't take care of a dog.
Kathy Heller
Tell what happened when we got maple,
Madeline
because we did this twice.
Kathy Heller
Not just once. Twice we got a dog, brought it home, got the crate, got the. All the things.
Gabrielle
You didn't even last both times.
Kathy Heller
What?
Gabrielle
Both times? We didn't even last a week.
Kathy Heller
Why?
Gabrielle
Okay, well, you guys.
Kathy Heller
Okay, just be honest.
Gabrielle
First of all, we should have gotten an actual puppy trainer person.
Madeline
Yeah, I totally, like Kim actually did that.
Kathy Heller
Just saying. The two Pomeranians that were so cute. What are their names?
Gabrielle
I don't remember.
Eliza
And she gave.
Madeline
I was like, courtney and Kim.
Kathy Heller
Sushi and sake.
Eliza
Sushi.
Kathy Heller
Sushi.
Gabrielle
No, it wasn't sake. Oh, okay.
Eliza
Go ahead.
Kathy Heller
What happened with the dog that we got?
Gabrielle
So we got a dog, like, the day after we got back from la. Like, we just went to the puppy store. We weren't even going to get one, but then you're, like, so embarrassed. Everyone was like, mom, can we get one? And we just, like, went home with it. And then I tried it. I, like, tried out of the dog in my room for, like, two days.
Kathy Heller
Like, mom, I've got this. Well, I actually really take care of this dog.
Gabrielle
But the dog was, like, so annoying. And I went to sleep and I had to sleep with the lights on because she cried and turned off the
Kathy Heller
light and she pooped everywhere.
Gabrielle
At 3 in the morning, she woke me up and I. She was crying, so I let her out of the cage. She peed all over my carpet, like, my rug, whatever.
Eliza
And then she pooped.
Gabrielle
And then I put her back inside. She woke me up three times in the night. I'm just like, I just can't.
Eliza
But then when she was staying in my room, I wasn't.
Madeline
No. But Even in, like, 2021 or something, we bought from the same puppy store and they lied to us again.
Kathy Heller
Why are we doing it? Glutton for fun. No, I. I know.
Madeline
We should know, like, when we bought the dog, like, maple. Like, I didn't want to buy it.
Kathy Heller
You didn't?
Eliza
No.
Kathy Heller
Okay, okay. This or that? A movie or YouTube?
Eliza
A movie.
Kathy Heller
I don't do anything.
Gabrielle
I like TikTok.
Kathy Heller
What about you?
Eliza
Well, I like TikTok.
Kathy Heller
She can't sit through a movie. She's been ruined by, like, quick dopamine hits.
Madeline
She can't do it.
Eliza
I like TikTok, but not YouTube. But I like movies, too.
Kathy Heller
What about you? What'd you say?
Eliza
I don't know.
Madeline
Like, both.
Kathy Heller
It's interesting. I feel like. I know that people say this, but when I was growing up, I liked the movies. I don't really like the movies, but
Gabrielle
the Housemaid was so good.
Kathy Heller
The Housemaid was.
Gabrielle
That's like, the only movie I've been able to sit.
Madeline
Wait, we still didn't watch Marty.
Gabrielle
So scary.
Eliza
It wasn't that scary.
Kathy Heller
The housemaid.
Gabrielle
No, it's not like, scary.
Madeline
It was not like. It wasn't.
Gabrielle
That, like, keeps you on edge. Yeah, it's not.
Eliza
It was, like, good.
Kathy Heller
I don't know how you actually, at 9, can, like, tolerate the housemaid, but you're like, it's fine.
Eliza
No, because I've seen, like, Even if it's like, I don't know, I feel like I've seen worse.
Kathy Heller
You've seen worse? What kind of mother am I? Wait, do you think. Let me just ask you a question about phones. Do you think that your phone is a good thing or a bad thing? Because I think it's the reason you can't sit through movies.
Gabrielle
It's a good thing and a bad thing.
Kathy Heller
Okay, say what?
Gabrielle
So, okay, it's a good thing to, like, be in touch with people and, like, have a better, like, social life. Because kids now, like, they get considered, like, weird if they don't have a phone.
Kathy Heller
Okay.
Gabrielle
But for other reasons, like, so bad. Because people get, like, left out. People get FOMO and like, it makes your attention band. Attention span so short. And like, it makes people feel really bad online.
Kathy Heller
Does it make you feel. I never hear you say that. It makes you feel bad.
Gabrielle
No, I don't think it makes me feel bad. But, like, like, a lot of people,
Kathy Heller
like, compare themselves to other people's bodies. Do you do that?
Gabrielle
I don't think.
Kathy Heller
Do you do that? But so why do you think people don't do that?
Eliza
I don't know.
Kathy Heller
Do you feel good about yours? Is that what it is? Like, good self esteem?
Gabrielle
I don't know, but it says a lot of people also, like, people, like, I don't know, like, people get bullied from their phones. Like, people like snap cyber people and whatever. So I understand, like, why people. I feel like I just don't like social. Like, I. I use social media, but I don't like it. Like, if, if no one had it, like, I'd be happier, right? But, like, I'm not gonna. If everyone has it, I'm not gonna not have it.
Eliza
But, like, also, you saw my for
Kathy Heller
you page that, like, your page is mukbangs. It's Literally. Maddie likes to watch people chewing and eating, which is.
Gabrielle
I like it too.
Kathy Heller
I do like it.
Gabrielle
Slime.
Kathy Heller
What's your favorite thing to watch people eat?
Eliza
Either, like, bulldog noodles or, like, there's, like, bullduk, like, burritos, kind of.
Madeline
I hate those.
Kathy Heller
Frozen burrito.
Eliza
No, it's like they wrap it in,
Madeline
like, rice paper or, like.
Eliza
Yeah.
Madeline
And then with something you should do a muffin.
Kathy Heller
You eat well. I like the way you eat.
Gabrielle
I was watching her eat today, and
Kathy Heller
I like the Starbucks grilled cheese. So slowly see mukbang thoroughly make a killing. Yeah.
Madeline
I was, like, aware of how I was eating, and I ate so slow. And I, like, didn't even think.
Kathy Heller
She eats slow, but, like, that's why she's thinking. She eats like a line.
Eliza
All of my.
Kathy Heller
She eats like a football player, but she's so thin. Because she slowly sits and methodically eats because.
Madeline
I don't know.
Kathy Heller
You're good at eating and you have nice teeth.
Eliza
I feel things. I feel like it's because I like ASM more.
Gabrielle
Do you watch the Wingstop ones?
Eliza
Yes.
Gabrielle
Here's the mukbangs.
Kathy Heller
I don't like the noodles.
Gabrielle
That's what she's talking about.
Kathy Heller
That's bulak.
Gabrielle
That's noodles.
Eliza
Like the spicy ramen.
Kathy Heller
I don't like that. I like when the girl with the really good teeth and lipstick eats like a strawberry.
Eliza
Oh, yeah, that eats like candy.
Gabrielle
I like the ones where the Wingstop, when they dip it fully in ranch and stuff.
Eliza
Yeah. I like the ones where they eat canes.
Kathy Heller
She showed me, I think. I think Eliza showed me a different. I'm going a different direction, but, like, this girl put honey on a keyboard.
Madeline
Oh, yeah, that was Maddie.
Eliza
That was me.
Kathy Heller
The sound is so good. It's so asmr. Oh, my God, it's so good.
Madeline
I don't like ASMR when people, like, whisper.
Eliza
I hate that.
Kathy Heller
Do it right. Can we do it right now?
Madeline
No, I actually hate it.
Kathy Heller
Welcome back. So good to have you here.
Eliza
Ew. I don't like it. Okay, next.
Kathy Heller
Next question. This or that? Summer or winter?
Eliza
Both. Because I have to pick one. But I feel like
Kathy Heller
this or that.
Eliza
I feel like winter. I only liked it when we were in BlackBerry.
Madeline
Yeah, I was just gonna say that if, you know, it was snow during winter, then it's like if you're here
Kathy Heller
or Florida, winter is, like, not.
Eliza
No.
Kathy Heller
Although it got cold this winter.
Eliza
It's like, if, like, weren't here or in Florida for winter, like, you have
Madeline
to be in, like, New Yorkshire or something.
Eliza
Yeah, you have to be in, like, New York.
Gabrielle
Winter here is nice.
Kathy Heller
Winter here?
Eliza
Yeah, it's, like, cold.
Kathy Heller
It's March right now and it's 90.
Gabrielle
This is not winter anymore.
Kathy Heller
Yeah, it's supposed to be winter the way.
Gabrielle
Oh, nice.
Kathy Heller
Like, can we talk about. We went to BlackBerry Mountain. It's the thing you. You said first. That's one of my favorite memories in my whole lifetime.
Gabrielle
Okay.
Kathy Heller
Ansel Adams is a. I think he's a photographer. All of his paint, all of his photos are black and white. When we got to BlackBerry Mountain, we got snowed in. And when we woke up the next
Madeline
day, it was black.
Kathy Heller
There was no color because it was. It was like a blackout. A whiteout. A whiteout. That's what they call it. There was snow everywhere. I took pictures. People thought that it was grayscale, that I had used a filter. It was the snow. It was so beautiful. It was covering everything, and. And we had no electricity. Do you remember? So they had to move us to, like, a one room. And we all were cozy around the fireplace. And we woke up and went sweating.
Madeline
And you wore Ugg slippers.
Kathy Heller
Slippers that, like, the toes are open
Gabrielle
and you're like, your toes are freezing.
Kathy Heller
I'm like, yeah, that's not. Snowshoes was so fun, though. So I would say winter. I would say summer. Summer.
Gabrielle
Even though I, like, hate the heat. Like, I hate being hot. It's just, like, summer's better because, like, I don't have school and, like, I have a camp, and it's just, like,
Kathy Heller
you tell them what camp so much.
Gabrielle
I don't know. I just, like, like it.
Kathy Heller
I love Sid Boy Camp. It's my favorite thing.
Gabrielle
But I like. I like Windsor a lot. Like, I like the weather better, but I just. It's like the time of school when you have, like, the most work and, like, you hate. It's, like, the most stressful part.
Kathy Heller
And what do I say?
Gabrielle
Like, the weather and I like winter breaks.
Kathy Heller
I'm either the coolest mom or the worst. For what I tell you about school, what do I basically say?
Eliza
You don't, like.
Madeline
You don't, like, care. Yeah.
Eliza
So I feel like. I think I like that.
Kathy Heller
I want you to just be cool with. But I feel like I'm not interested
Eliza
in all these subjects when we're not in school. Like, you're like, you don't need school. I just need what we're doing now. But, like, when we're in school, like, you're like, you can't skip school. But when we're out of school, you're like, I don't care.
Kathy Heller
School in general, I feel like, makes kids feel stressed for no reason. And I feel like what you really need is to be free to express yourself. All right, this was about sweet or salty? Salty. What. What do you have in mind? Takis?
Gabrielle
No. Well, like, I like talkies, but I like salt.
Eliza
I eat them that much salty.
Madeline
But that counts as.
Gabrielle
I just like. I like sweet stuff. But, like, okay, actually, I think sweet,
Kathy Heller
you just change it.
Gabrielle
I don't know, because I really like, like, spicy stuff. Yeah, I like that you're so into
Kathy Heller
spicy way more than me.
Gabrielle
But I also love, like, frozen yogurt. It's like, my favorite thing. Yeah.
Eliza
Yeah, I think I like sweet and spicy, but not really.
Gabrielle
And I also like Swedish candy and stuff.
Kathy Heller
What is your choice, would you say?
Eliza
I don't know.
Madeline
I feel like, salty.
Kathy Heller
Which. Yeah, like what? Chips? The truffle, potato chips.
Gabrielle
Oh, but, like, steak is, like, salty, right?
Madeline
I feel like I.
Gabrielle
A lot of that.
Madeline
But after I have something salty, I usually, like, need something sweet. But if you had to choose, like,
Gabrielle
then I get salty and salt. I eat more salty stuff. But I like, wow, we really flip flops. I know.
Madeline
We sound like a politician.
Kathy Heller
Back and forth, back and forth.
Eliza
No, we, like, that's okay.
Kathy Heller
So, all right, you're. You're salty. Yeah, I'm going to say salty. I know the sweet stuff is not really, like, the center of the meal.
Gabrielle
It's always. Yeah, it's salty.
Madeline
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
And then it, like, hurts your stomach.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Okay. What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? Like, if you can create a perfect day, what would you do with it? What would you do if you could just do anything? I'll tell you. A perfect day that we had, like, last week, we went to John and Minnie's for breakfast and for dinner.
Gabrielle
John and Minnie's.
Kathy Heller
And then in the middle of the day, we went shopping. And then we went to the gas station, and I said to Maddie, do you want to pump gas for the first time? And what happened?
Eliza
And I put it. I put the gas in, but, like, it wasn't, like, clicking, so it, like, didn't hold by itself. So I was holding it the whole time, and then. And my fingers started to hurt. So I was like, mom, I want to take it out. So I was taking it out as I was pushing it in, so the gas spilled all over me and all over the car.
Kathy Heller
She's like, mom, Mom, Mom. And she kept pressing it and it was like, hosing down the entire area. We got my Patty. Stop holding it. Stop holding it.
Eliza
And then got all over your Gucci shoes.
Madeline
And then.
Eliza
And then I had to get a new outfit. And then we were, like, 15 minutes late to the orthodontist.
Kathy Heller
That's fine.
Gabrielle
I just thought of my perfect day.
Kathy Heller
Okay, what's your perfect day?
Gabrielle
I would, like, go. I mean, I would wake up, like, late, but not too late because so I would get matcha or, like, something like that. Or get, like, John and Minnie's breakfast. And then I would go outside and like, get a little bit tan a little. Just like, for a little bit, like, going in the sun and then, like, sit. Because I don't like going in. What's it called? I don't like to, like, actually be in the pool. But, like, I like those, like, laying out floaties in the pool.
Kathy Heller
We have to get some of that.
Gabrielle
You actually tan better if you're. If you have water on you. So then it's better to lay in the pool. You get less burnt. So I do that for a little bit. And then I would get my nails done.
Kathy Heller
Yeah.
Gabrielle
And get my hair done and get facial.
Kathy Heller
Oh, my God. So funny.
Gabrielle
Yeah. All right.
Kathy Heller
What go.
Eliza
I feel like that night I would have a sleepover with, like, one of my friends or two of my friends. And then during the day I would, like, either go to the beach with them.
Kathy Heller
We played pickleball on the ocean. There was a pickle ball court, floating.
Eliza
I feel like we would, like, go to the beach and then after that also get our, like, summer nails. Like, it was summer.
Kathy Heller
Yeah.
Gabrielle
Like, with flowers and stuff on them.
Madeline
Yeah, the 3D nails.
Kathy Heller
3D.
Eliza
And then we would go back home and, like, just, like, chill and then, like, watch a movie together. Cute.
Kathy Heller
I like that. Y.
Madeline
Okay. If it was in, like, I don't know what season, but I would, like, wake up at, like, 10 and then go to the beach and eat.
Eliza
Okay.
Madeline
It's a theoretical thing. I would wake up at, like, 10 and then go to the beach and have, like, Jersey mice or something. And then, like, while we're at the beach, it was like, good. And then go swimming, whatever. And then at, like, 4: o', clock, it'll be, like, 62 degrees outside. So it's like, perfect, like, nap time weather. And then you, like, take a nap. I don't know. That's just like, a peaceful day.
Gabrielle
Or like, a good day is like, always just like a whole day at the Boca Hotel. It's like.
Madeline
And then at dinner you go, oh, they're the best food to, like either sushi or steak.
Kathy Heller
What were you gonna say?
Eliza
I have, like another good day. So I wake up, I get Matcha. I just like, relax, Watch Kardashians,
Kathy Heller
who do not sound 9. Wake up, have a matcha. Watch Kardashians. People are gonna think you're 17, but that's okay.
Eliza
And then, like, I would, like, hang out with a friend for like a couple hours. And then when I get back home, it will be like, like five. And then it would be five o' clock when I got home and it would be raining.
Kathy Heller
Oh, the sound of the rain.
Eliza
And like, really hard until, like, I go to bed and like, right when I get home, it's raining. And then I like, get in pajamas already. Yeah. And then, like, I make like a hot chocolate or something. And then I take a shower.
Kathy Heller
So nice.
Eliza
And then cozy inside, I watch something. And then, like, I get ready for bed and then.
Gabrielle
But rain in LA is different than rain in Florida. Yeah, rain in Florida is, like, disgusting. It's horrible. I hate the rain in Florida.
Madeline
And then there's like, thunder and then rains the house.
Gabrielle
It rains in la. It gets, like, cold. It's like, nice. And it's like, foggy.
Madeline
And it rains all day.
Gabrielle
Only rains, like, for a week out of the year.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. So it's like, you get to enjoy here.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
My favorite day is usually just hanging out with you guys. And we just, from the moment we wake up, when we go to sleep, we have the best time. Whenever grandma comes with us, she's like, oh, my God, I feel like it's like Disneyland whenever you guys hang out. What?
Eliza
She always goes like, it feels like Christmas.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. We don't. We just have so much fun. Like, we go out, we talk, we hang, we shop, we shop. I don't know, we just. But like, we just vibe. We play good songs in the car. But the other day, I'm not going to go through all of the list, but we did make a list of your favorite people in our life. And, like, your tennis teacher was on the list. Our dentist was on the list.
Gabrielle
You are going through the list.
Kathy Heller
I'm not going to say, like, people who weren't on the list.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
My point is, what do you think the people on the list have in common that you just really, like.
Eliza
Like, really?
Madeline
I don't think they're like.
Gabrielle
Yeah, it's that.
Madeline
Right. And bubbly people.
Gabrielle
It's that they don't, like, have. It's like, we haven't seen, like, a dark side that they have. Because we know people that have, like, that are really nice, but also have a little bit, like a edge. Like a turn side. Yeah. Not like, like a Something's, like, heavy off. Like, something's heavy. And even though we really like them, something's off. So they're not on the list.
Kathy Heller
It's like, no. Also, you guys don't like insecure people.
Gabrielle
You don't like people who can, like,
Kathy Heller
really think to you for reassurance. Like, you like people who come in.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
And are a vibe and they're happy and they're there to, like, bring good energy. Like, anyone who's clingy or needy, you're just like, no. Or you also don't like when people are controlling with their kids.
Eliza
Yeah.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
If you see that with people, you're like, oh, my gosh, we hate that. You're just not for that. We have some friends where you're just like, oh, my God, they're so hard on their kids. I don't like that.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. Okay. What is your dream place to travel to?
Gabrielle
Croatia. I want to go to Croatia so bad.
Kathy Heller
It looks so pretty with, like, the diving. Not that we would dive, but I
Gabrielle
also really want to go to Hawaii. I want to do both.
Eliza
I want to go to. Well, we might, but I really want to go to Costa Rica.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. It looks really pretty.
Gabrielle
And I want to go to Saint Bars.
Eliza
Yeah.
Madeline
Oh, yeah.
Eliza
It was like.
Kathy Heller
You know who goes to St. Bart's all the time?
Madeline
Who?
Kathy Heller
Rebecca.
Gabrielle
We love Shack fans. No.
Kathy Heller
Shout out to Rebecca and her kids. They're so cute. But I feel like she's always in St. Barts and it looks so pretty.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Madeline
But the plane right there is really scary. Yeah, it's really.
Kathy Heller
What's your place, though? What's your favorite place to travel?
Madeline
I don't know. Like, maybe like, Japan.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Madeline
Yeah.
Eliza
I really want to go to Japan.
Kathy Heller
Wait, I didn't tell you this. My friend Amy Tangerine. Like, shout out to Amy. You know what she's doing? She's calling it the Tangerine Tokyo Takeover. And she's taking 14 women literally this week. And they're going to. They're going to Tokyo. But guess what they're doing there? Stationary and sightseeing. They're literally going. Apparently there's these stationary stores that are like six stories of stationary. You ever heard of this stationary? Like, you know, the San Rio stuff or, like, paper goods. People go just to the stationary store.
Gabrielle
They have as like, the Fashion Square Mall.
Kathy Heller
It's so. Well, I guess if you go to Tokyo, it's a little better. Yeah. My dream place to travel, one of them was Switzerland. And we just went.
Madeline
Yeah, I want to go back.
Kathy Heller
It was so pretty.
Madeline
I want to go, like, in the
Kathy Heller
winter, though, about Switzerland.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
He's so pretty.
Eliza
It's so nice.
Kathy Heller
I don't know the. What's it called? Paragliding. Oh, my God. So pretty.
Eliza
I wanted to go so bad.
Kathy Heller
You literally like, mom, I will do that. And I almost signed you up. Like, what am I doing? Throwing my.
Madeline
No, but, like, this is, like, insane. It's, like, safe. Like, 20,000 million people do it.
Eliza
It's a way safe than bungee jumping or skiing.
Kathy Heller
Bungee jumping. I would never, never, never, never, never, never.
Eliza
I would never sc.
Kathy Heller
Skydiving.
Gabrielle
Scott and Kendall went skydiving.
Kathy Heller
I know, but I feel like bungee
Madeline
jumping is kind of safer.
Kathy Heller
No, please don't do that. What are my three rules that I don't want you to ever do? Motorcycle, big tattoo, and, like, smoking cigarettes. Yeah. Yeah. It's gross. No, wait. My dream place to travel. Well, we're going to Paris.
Madeline
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
I can't believe I've never been to Paris. And I'm taking you guys for Mother's Day. It's going to be so cute. What are you most excited about in going to Paris?
Eliza
Is it, like, hot chocolate? Yeah, it's like a macaroon making class.
Kathy Heller
Oh, yeah.
Gabrielle
And I want to. Chrome Hearts. Embarrassed. Yeah, like, excited for that.
Madeline
The shopping and the food.
Kathy Heller
Every time we go to Chrome Hearts, they don't have any.
Gabrielle
Yeah, but, like, the one is probably
Madeline
different in Europe or something.
Kathy Heller
Okay, last question on this is, what is your favorite food right now?
Gabrielle
John and Benny's pasta.
Madeline
Italian food I like.
Eliza
Or actually, maybe like, Sean.
Gabrielle
Spicy fusilli.
Eliza
Yeah. Like, I'm very old at Italian this year.
Kathy Heller
What did you just say? Sushi, though.
Madeline
Sushi or Italian?
Kathy Heller
I love sushi. Okay, I'm gonna give a food review right now.
Gabrielle
Oh, and steak. I eat so much steak. I love.
Madeline
Well, that kind of calculated this.
Kathy Heller
I'm just gonna come out with it. So we went to Nobu in Malibu. There's a lot of hype. For years, we couldn't even get a table right. You have to, like, make a reservation, like, four months in advance. We go the other night. I just didn't think the food was amazing.
Gabrielle
It was.
Madeline
It was.
Kathy Heller
I give it a six.
Gabrielle
Okay. It wasn't, like, bad.
Kathy Heller
It wasn't good.
Madeline
It was good, but I had, like, higher expectations.
Eliza
Like, yeah, I feel like everyone made it sound so good, but it was like, we've had way better than way better.
Gabrielle
Suya, it looks incredible.
Eliza
So good.
Gabrielle
Balse hair was so.
Madeline
And shoe.
Gabrielle
Not so shoe.
Kathy Heller
It was so good.
Madeline
Yeah.
Gabrielle
Bachi and even. We just had that pizza place across the street.
Kathy Heller
Wait, tell them the kind of pizza that you got. That's so interesting.
Gabrielle
I got through, like, it's like the regular pizza, but it's like, it has, like, burrata on it and, like, hot honey on it. And it was so regular pizza. Yeah, that's like their. It's like their og. Like, they have, like, a cheese pizza.
Kathy Heller
So I had you do a food review, and I tagged Dave Portnoy from Barstool because he reviewed it and I
Gabrielle
said, that's why you about it.
Kathy Heller
And he viewed your story. That was aura for you. I love that for you. My favorite food right now. What do I eat the most of? I'm always iced coffee all day. Iced coffee. I don't know. I do like steak because I feel like it's good protein. Yeah, but blaming on. I don't like steak. That's fatty.
Gabrielle
I like filet, but I also like New York.
Kathy Heller
What if. What did you try this year that you're like, mom, do you mind if I get.
Gabrielle
Oh, caviar.
Kathy Heller
What is this? All of a sudden she wants caviar. I hate sushi.
Gabrielle
Like, hate sushi, but I only like caviar.
Kathy Heller
I don't like caviar. I don't like the taste of it.
Gabrielle
I like it. It's okay.
Kathy Heller
You're an expensive date. Like, you need to marry well.
Madeline
But, like, keep up. Caviar tastes more fishy than the actual.
Gabrielle
No, I just don't like the texture of sushi. But, like, caviar I love.
Kathy Heller
Okay, it's so good question for you guys. What do you think I do with my job?
Gabrielle
I actually don't know. Spiritual.
Kathy Heller
Like, you don't know? You have no idea?
Madeline
Yeah, like the other day or like a couple months ago, someone asked me, what did your mom do? And I actually said, I don't know.
Gabrielle
Look, I know you have a podcast.
Madeline
Yeah.
Eliza
You like, you, like, have like, a spiritual Jewish podcast.
Kathy Heller
Okay, and what do I do?
Madeline
You like spiritual people?
Kathy Heller
What do I teach?
Madeline
Like, you teach people, like, manifest and, like, energy.
Kathy Heller
A little bit of, like, Jewish. How do you think you are telling someone how to manifest? Do you think you know how to do it? Like, how do people manifest things?
Eliza
Like, just like, I don't know if they want something like, like, they can get it from, like, whatever. Like, I feel like they can get it, but don't, like, push it.
Gabrielle
But we did, like, just have an experience with, like, me and, like, schools recently. Do you want to explain? For ninth grade, I'm applying to schools, and what's it called? There was this one that you really wanted me to go to, and I didn't want to go there because I felt like.
Kathy Heller
It didn't feel like you.
Gabrielle
It didn't feel like me. Like, they have a lot of rules and, like, stuff that we don't really do that. Like, I would have to be, like, pretending.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. Yeah.
Gabrielle
Like, it's just not, like, who we are.
Kathy Heller
And, like, I really was, like, too formal.
Gabrielle
It was really, like, formal and just very. I just didn't think I was going to like it, but I was like. I was like, fine, like, you want me to go there? Like, I'll go there for you. So, like, whatever. And then I had toured it, so that's why you, like, ended up liking it. And then I went for my interview and my, like, assessment to get into the school, and I went and took my test. I took my interview. I, like. I did my interview. It was, like, 10, 15 minutes. And then I went to this testing room for, like, two and a half hours or something, and they made me do all these tests. And then while I was taking these tests that were, like, so hard and so annoying, I sat down with the
Kathy Heller
principal, and she looked at me, and she's like, I'm gonna be really direct with you. She's not a fit. You're not getting in. We're sending out admissions letters next week, but yours is gonna be a no. And I said, you know what? Everything's always happening for you.
Gabrielle
I had, like.
Kathy Heller
I said, I'm really glad that this is the clarity. You're just giving me the clarity. And what happened five minutes after we left the school?
Gabrielle
Wait. But first, I, like, finally, like, accepted my feat, that I was gonna go there. And I was, like, really upset about it, but I was, like, finally, like. Like, I just have to go there because, like, I don't have another option. Because I didn't have another option at that point. And then we left, and then. Well, I don't know how to explain that part, because I don't really know.
Kathy Heller
Yeah, but I want to say, like,
Gabrielle
that part, like, the part about the school, like, I really didn't want to go there, but I was, like, accepting it kind of. But then. But I knew. I knew, like, in the back of my head that I was, like, upset about it.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. But then we went to go get.
Gabrielle
And I'm like, thank gosh.
Kathy Heller
And then I said, what about this other school? And as soon as I said that, we turn our head and there's these two girls walking with sweatshirts from the other school that you wanted to look at. Yeah. And one of the girls walks over and she goes, gabby? And I go, you know her? She goes, yeah, I know you from third grade. She had remembered you from when we lived in Florida for, like, a minute. And she's like, you should totally come check out our school. And then she said, wait, I want to invite you to something tonight. And then you went with her to a thing that night, and it was just, like, all happening at the right place at the right time.
Eliza
I toured the school, and now I
Gabrielle
can't even go to that school. I mean, the one I didn't want to go to.
Eliza
Right.
Kathy Heller
Because have we ever had another experience where we've been together and we manifested something?
Madeline
Didn't you, like, do the thing with
Eliza
Kim on the train?
Gabrielle
I sound.
Kathy Heller
Wasn't that crazy? Yeah. So Kim and I. I was supposed to speak. I did speak in San Diego, and Kim and I waymoed to the train station, and we got there three minutes late, and we were running for the train, which was an 8, 10 train to San Diego. We missed the train by a minute. I said to the guy, where's the train to San Diego? He goes, it already left. And so then she and I, long story short, gotten away, got in an Uber, and an hour later, I got an email from Amtrak because they thought I was on that train because I had already had tickets the A10 train. It turned out that the train I didn't get on derailed and was stuck all day and never made it to San Diego. And because I missed it by a minute, I took an Uber and I did make it to speak in San Diego.
Madeline
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
And that story, we've. I feel like we've had many moments where we're like, oh, my God, this is crazy that we're here right now at this moment.
Eliza
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. That's crazy. So do you feel like you know the answer if someone's like, okay, how do you. How is good energy related to manifesting?
Gabrielle
Well, you have to. Like, if you're so negative, then why do you think anything good would happen to you if you have no positive mindset, like, at all? Like, I don't think I really like, manifest things, but I just. I, like, I definitely look at some stuff with, like, a negative energy. But, like, I try not to as much as, like, I probably would.
Eliza
I feel like there's a lot of people that we know that, like, don't, like, don't think good about themselves. Like, they don't. Like, they want all.
Gabrielle
You know, a lot of people, they
Eliza
want to manifest, but, like, they're so trapped and. Yeah. And they don't know that the way to manifest is not what they're doing right now.
Gabrielle
Right.
Kathy Heller
It's like when you have a good vibe. I always say my biggest thing is what?
Eliza
Energy.
Madeline
Good vibes. You're like, everything is energy.
Kathy Heller
You have to look. You have to be responsible for the energy you bring into the room. I'm always like, yeah, you'll say that. Energy.
Gabrielle
But we know a lot of people that just come into a room and are, like, so dark and have such bad energy, and it's, like, so hard
Kathy Heller
to be around a lot of people like that.
Gabrielle
So many, like, more that are like that than not, probably.
Kathy Heller
And they don't realize that they then, like, create their. They fulfill the same, like, whatever negative thing. They think it just keeps happening because
Gabrielle
they are, like, going to spiral because,
Kathy Heller
like, they're bringing that.
Gabrielle
That's.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. Crazy. Have you guys liked learning to play tennis this year?
Eliza
Yeah, I feel like I like it, but only in the afternoon. It's so hot. Because in the morning. In the morning, it's so hot. But when it was, like, winter, it was like.
Madeline
Okay, that was too cold, though.
Kathy Heller
What was it like for you guys to live through the fire in la?
Madeline
That was scary.
Eliza
Scary.
Gabrielle
I don't know if it was that scary. Like, when we first got evacuated, it was scary.
Kathy Heller
Tell about that night. We had, like, a minute to leave the house.
Gabrielle
Yeah, that night, my. It was a random school night, and my friend was over. She was. Or she lived, like, one minute from us.
Eliza
They were doing, like, homework.
Gabrielle
She just came over because she had no power and she needed to do
Kathy Heller
homework because the fire had started, I
Gabrielle
think, that morning in Palisade, so. But it had gotten to. It hadn't gotten to us.
Madeline
Yeah, we were at school and there
Gabrielle
was this big club, but she had no WI Fi to do her homework. So she came over and as we, like, she was sitting in my room and we were trying to do her homework, and then our WI fi went out. Like, our power went out. No power, like, WI Fi. So we were trying to email the dean of our school that we couldn't do our homework. And we were like, I'm so sorry. Like we have no power or wi fi because of the fires. And then her mom called her and was like, are you on our street? Like the name of our street? And then she was like, yeah, and. Cause her mom was out of town and she was like, there's a fire at the end of that block. You have to get out of there.
Kathy Heller
We're on a WhatsApp group that there
Gabrielle
was a fire in the neighborhood and
Kathy Heller
we lived in a cul de sac
Gabrielle
and we were like. So her dad came and ran to pick her up and then we left and we had two min to leave. You dropped your phone down the elevator of the house.
Kathy Heller
That makes me sound so. An elevator.
Gabrielle
Yeah. Okay.
Kathy Heller
Loki.
Gabrielle
We had three hats of us and we. We grabbed whatever we we could in like two minutes. I ran into my closet, was like throwing random stuff in my bag and we left. I saw my school clothes was going to. And we left our cat inside the house.
Kathy Heller
We couldn't find the. For tell what happened. We have.
Madeline
We have. We like cats.
Kathy Heller
At the time we gave one to my sister. So now we have three. We still love the other one, but she has it. So we had four cats. I said, look for the cats and the fire residents are there.
Gabrielle
And I only had a minute.
Kathy Heller
And what happened to the fourth cat, Eliza?
Madeline
We like couldn't find him and he was. But we lived like five minutes from a fire thing that.
Gabrielle
Okay.
Kathy Heller
They couldn't stop the fire.
Madeline
Yeah, but they stopped it on our.
Gabrielle
Like they had no there.
Kathy Heller
But what happened when we got in the car and you're like, we missed one of the cats.
Gabrielle
I know, but he was okay. Yeah, he missed. But Eliza, he was sitting on the bed.
Kathy Heller
You have to go back. And it was. So we walked. We drove away crying.
Gabrielle
And then we stayed at our aunt's house for two days. And I literally we. I didn't have anything with me. Like. No, we all slept.
Madeline
I was wearing.
Gabrielle
Yeah, I was wearing my one night clothes for like.
Eliza
Yeah.
Gabrielle
And then like a day or two days or something.
Eliza
And then the second night that we were there, I got a feedback.
Gabrielle
But once we were in San Diego, we felt like really safe and it was fun.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. Then we went to our friends in San Diego, but it was insane. Like they took us in.
Gabrielle
Yeah. But it was.
Kathy Heller
Stayed in their house pretending at their house.
Gabrielle
We stayed in it guest house.
Kathy Heller
We kept checking, can we come back? We couldn't go back to our house the whole.
Gabrielle
No, but it was crazy. We stayed in like a baby place with one bathroom for 10 days and four cats.
Kathy Heller
But did you.
Gabrielle
There's five of us.
Kathy Heller
Do you have PTSD from that? Like, if you smell smoke, do you feel like. Oh, my God.
Madeline
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
No, she doesn't.
Madeline
Why are you.
Gabrielle
For, like, a little bit. And I was, like, scared to let a cake.
Eliza
So we were driving to Will and Piper's house for Shabbat, but you weren't. There was just Daddy and us. So we went, and we were, like, already pulled into, like, their driveway, and we opened the door, and Eliza smelled, like, a lot of smoke. Wait. And.
Madeline
Because, like, apparently they controlled controlled fires to, like, burn crops or something.
Kathy Heller
Really?
Madeline
Yeah. I was, like, freaking out, and I was like, can we, like, go back home? But I ended up, like, sleeping and then.
Gabrielle
But you guys have been through a
Kathy Heller
lot in your short lives.
Gabrielle
Like, you're like, Covid didn't freak us out. Like, because I was.
Madeline
No, I was filming Tik Tok.
Gabrielle
I was eight. I downloaded Tick Tock and we were, like, fine.
Eliza
Like.
Gabrielle
Yeah. Like, I was, like, for the beginning, but then after, I was.
Eliza
Because I was three and four.
Kathy Heller
So it didn't bother you?
Eliza
No.
Kathy Heller
And it didn't bother you?
Gabrielle
I never. I could, like, care, and I, like, I. I was, like, making tiktoks all day. Like, I didn't want to be in school. I was in second grade.
Kathy Heller
I think it was harder for kids who were, like, in high school.
Gabrielle
Yeah. And, like, kids that missed their graduation and stuff.
Kathy Heller
But it was hard, like, socially, because then when you went back to. You went back in fifth grade.
Gabrielle
I don't know how to tell time on a clock. Like, I.
Kathy Heller
Like, two full years.
Gabrielle
I don't know how to do. I can't do division without a calculator. Like, I missed a lot.
Eliza
Go ahead.
Gabrielle
So about.
Eliza
So about the story. Eliza was, like, crying in the car. She was like, I want to go home. I want to go home. And I was like. I was, like, not that scared because I was like, there's no way there's a fire. If it's like, Florida is mostly water. It's always, like, there's a lot of walk around, and it's always like, LA is, like, dry, so I understand.
Kathy Heller
Yeah.
Eliza
But Eliza was, like, crying, and she really wanted to go home. But I wasn't, like, that scared.
Kathy Heller
Oh.
Gabrielle
Because I remember that day of the fire. The windiest day ever. Oh, our door flew open. It was insane.
Madeline
And then afterwards, I got, like, a rash or something.
Gabrielle
He was so dry.
Kathy Heller
It was so dry.
Gabrielle
Like, it's never been like that.
Eliza
Yeah. And I knew daddy was like, he would know, like he would take us home. Yeah, he's like very safe about. And also they would give us like alerts about it on our phone. Yeah. So I feel like, like I wasn't that scared but like I was trying to walk in the lies. I was like, I don't want to
Gabrielle
go in, but I do like always double jumped out.
Eliza
But we finally walked in and then after we were inside for like 20 minutes, she was fine and she slept over.
Kathy Heller
You've lived through so much, like in the last several years between Covid and then the fires and like also there's been like wars in the world. Like when I was growing up in my 80s and 90s, like, I don't know, we didn't have a pandemic. I didn't live through a fire. You know, we didn't have like the same kind of like news cycles all day long where people are just like struck.
Gabrielle
But then you have really bad hurricanes.
Kathy Heller
Uh, yeah, I lived through one bad hurricane. But it was kind of fun. Like I think we didn't understand how bad dangerous it could be. So.
Gabrielle
Yeah, I don't know. You didn't live that close to the ocean, right?
Kathy Heller
No, we were more like inland. But I feel like, okay, if you could go back and like tell yourself something that would help you when you were like younger, what would you tell yourself that you now know? Like, what advice would you give your younger self?
Gabrielle
Okay, this is like kind of a stupid one, but like we're neutral clothes and don't try to express yourself. Like in my outfit.
Madeline
What?
Kathy Heller
That's the opposite of what you should say. Don't try to express yourself because you don't like the way you dress.
Gabrielle
I look back and I'm like, I can't believe that house looking like that.
Kathy Heller
No.
Gabrielle
You never regret it. I used to have.
Kathy Heller
You did. You did have a glow up for sure.
Gabrielle
I used to wear like the most insane things at one point. I had like. You were eight for like two years. I had green glasses for two years. I had pink glasses.
Kathy Heller
You were so cute.
Gabrielle
I had braces. I used to wear like rainbow necklaces and like, like you were like, like I used to get acrylic nails with
Kathy Heller
rainbow shoes like that.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Okay.
Gabrielle
I used to do a nail like cow print. And you're like, if I could go
Kathy Heller
back, I thought you're going to be encouraging. You're like, I would tell her, do not express yourself and please like get some fashion help.
Gabrielle
Now look the way I did my Hair and everything. It's, like, insane.
Madeline
She, like, brushed out her curls so they were really supporting, and then she put a ponytail. Right?
Gabrielle
But I would say, don't get carrots in, because I would wish I still had my, like, natural hair.
Eliza
I would say. Because, like, I didn't, like, very well. I was, like, 4 and 5. But I would say, like, don't do all the stupid things that I did. Like, I cut my band, I cut my bang. I did my own hair. Like, I hear you, but what?
Kathy Heller
Anything for you that's not a critique of yourself, but maybe, like, a girly thing.
Eliza
I don't know.
Kathy Heller
Oh, you were gonna say that.
Gabrielle
Oh, I would say I have another one just from, like, the past couple years. Like, don't stress yourself out over things that don't really matter, because a lot of the time I do. Like, I stress myself out with so much schoolwork and, like, when teachers get mad at me, I'm like, why do I care what these teachers, like, exactly have to think? Like, they're literally so stupid.
Eliza
Like, yeah, like. Like, yeah, like, when we lived here,
Gabrielle
Like, I can't care. Like, you're paying them to teach me. And why would I. Why can they, like, yell at me for, like, not turning in an assignment? And, like, they make me want to miss school. I was like, shouldn't it be the opposite?
Kathy Heller
That's honest.
Eliza
So, like, when we were living here, like, I had, like, a really scary teacher. Like, that I go. I was, like, really afraid of. And that day I was sick, and I was like, I'm skipped. You were like, maddie, you're skipping school. I was like, what? Like, I'm skipping school. Like, she's gonna, like, act. Like she's gonna, like, be so mad.
Kathy Heller
Yeah.
Gabrielle
But I would also say another thing. Like, I wish I didn't skip school because it made my work when I got back more stressful. Like, if I went to another school next year and I actually, like, committed and, like, went to sleep early and didn't skip school, I wouldn't be falling behind and, like, I actually be able to, like, keep up.
Kathy Heller
Okay, let me ask you this question. If you. Because you guys are so supportive of me, like, if you knew that I would, like, 100% listen about any topic, what advice would you give me?
Madeline
What does that.
Kathy Heller
Like, what would you tell me to do? Because you tell me to do things
Gabrielle
with stuff about us or about just about you.
Kathy Heller
Anything.
Eliza
Like.
Kathy Heller
Like, would you say, like, mom, you need to work out? Would you say, we want you to take better care of your health, would you say, don't be so nice? She always says to me, you're. You over give. You're too nice. You, like, don't say no.
Eliza
And I feel like if you don't think, like, like, over the. Like, this year, like, you've already, like, changed your whole outfit. Like, glow up. Yeah. Like, you lost weight. So I feel like you look good, but, like, I don't know, like, maybe, like, you shouldn't be that generous because, like, you're very generous to all your friends. Like, maybe. Yeah, yeah. Pick up the phone.
Madeline
That's a mini.
Gabrielle
Yeah, that's a good one. Do I ever pick up?
Eliza
No.
Gabrielle
Like, actually, I text.
Madeline
You text?
Eliza
That's it.
Madeline
You don't.
Gabrielle
You don't.
Kathy Heller
Nobody would believe. I do not.
Eliza
You only call Kim. That's it. You don't even call us.
Kathy Heller
No, but I don't even really call you.
Madeline
Barely.
Gabrielle
Barely.
Kathy Heller
Yeah, but it's like, once every four months, if that. That's like, a lot.
Eliza
You never call anyone. I know, but you call baby sounds.
Gabrielle
Yeah. She's like your sister.
Kathy Heller
It's a different. Yeah, so don't be so generous. Try to say no more.
Gabrielle
No, don't try to say no more. Like, not us.
Kathy Heller
This year, our whole thing has been like, do not do things out of guilt. Right.
Gabrielle
Yeah, yeah, but something you could do out of guilt. Like, no, like, for us, like, a little bit. But don't make everything about, like, go. Because we still want you to feel like. Yeah, you have, like. Like you have, like. Like you're our parent, so you have, like, the final say and stuff. Yeah, but, like, we don't get to, like, rule.
Eliza
Like, don't feel guilty. Like, like, not. Not. Like, don't feel guilty for anyone.
Kathy Heller
Right.
Eliza
Because, like, they're making their own choices for what they do.
Gabrielle
Right?
Eliza
So I feel like that you always
Madeline
say that's a choice.
Eliza
I always felt guilty for, like, a lot of people, like, especially my family.
Kathy Heller
And you're like, no, they're making their own choices.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Madeline
And for a lot of people.
Kathy Heller
Yeah.
Eliza
Yeah. But also I feel like for you, like, you're you. You do a lot of things in guilt for your friend. Like. Like, sometimes you don't even want to see them, and you just, like, hang out with them. But I'm not gonna name who.
Gabrielle
Don't name drop.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. What if you didn't? You know, I did. That would be such a weird moment. Do you feel like there's anything you wish you did differently with each other?
Eliza
Like, is there one Thing you could do better maybe, that we, like, just fight that much, I think, for all of us.
Gabrielle
Stay out of each other's closets.
Madeline
Oh, wait. I'm gonna say Gabby turns into, like, actual, like, a ferocious beast whenever someone goes near her closet. Like the other day.
Gabrielle
Wait, stop.
Kathy Heller
Closet.
Gabrielle
No, stop. I hate it.
Madeline
Like, I don't know if it was yesterday or, like, a couple of days ago, but Maddie was looking in Gabby's closet, and she literally blocked it. Like, she was like, no, no. Actually, no.
Eliza
And they.
Madeline
They got into, like, a fight about it. Like, a physical. Actually died that night.
Eliza
It was last night, Literally last night. And I was. I just wanted to see if she had, like, pants or a shirt. And she literally jumped on top of me, and she was like, no, no. Yeah. No, you don't go in my closet. Yeah, she threw me to the floor.
Kathy Heller
No, she did.
Gabrielle
You fell on the floor.
Kathy Heller
Let's do this. Because I think a lot of times people try to look like they have it all together, and I don't like doing that. We don't. So let's tell people who are listening. Like, what makes us, like, normal and, like, what are the things about us that, like, people might be surprised. Like, not our best, like, things.
Eliza
I feel like we're normal, though, and every.
Kathy Heller
I'll tell you one thing.
Eliza
We're not, like, celebrities.
Kathy Heller
No, I'm saying. But not that we're celebrities. I'm saying that people try to present, like, their friends. I think everything's perfect all the time, but it's not. Like, you just gave an example. You guys fight.
Gabrielle
I'm very, like, not organized and stuff.
Eliza
Yeah.
Gabrielle
Like, my room is always, like, I always have stuff on my floor and stuff.
Kathy Heller
You always have.
Gabrielle
I always feel like I leave the kitchen a mess because I cook and I leave everything.
Kathy Heller
You're a really good cook, but I feel like one of the things I don't do well is with food. Like, I feel like our fridge is either overstuffed, there's nothing to eat.
Gabrielle
Yeah, we. Or there's nothing actually, like, so horrible. Yeah, we have, like, random things.
Kathy Heller
We fill up, like, three carts.
Gabrielle
We spent, like, 800 at Trader Joe's, and we have nothing to eat.
Madeline
Have you seen those things? It's like an ingredient household where you have no ingredients. Like, I tried to make brownies the other day. We didn't have eggs or olive oil.
Kathy Heller
Then other times, we have, like, three cartons of eggs, and then they don't go.
Eliza
I feel like we have everything that we don't need.
Madeline
Yeah, we have, like, four bottles of balsamic vinegar. And, like.
Gabrielle
No, but we need, like, stuff that never goes bad.
Kathy Heller
Okay. What about me, though? Like, what are the things that people would be surprised?
Gabrielle
You don't wash off your makeup.
Kathy Heller
No, no, I never do.
Madeline
You sleep with your makeup?
Kathy Heller
I can't. It's disgusting.
Madeline
Like, you used to have, like, a thing on your eye, and then I.
Kathy Heller
That's true.
Madeline
Yeah.
Gabrielle
And then I gave you, like, makeup wipes. I'm like, mom, you have. You have to, like, use cleanser after you use a makeup wipe. And she wipes it off in her bed and then leaves the makeup wipe on your nightstand.
Kathy Heller
And I hardly ever even wipe it off.
Gabrielle
Yeah. I have to, like, give it to you.
Kathy Heller
It's gross. What else. What else would people be surprised about?
Gabrielle
Me.
Kathy Heller
That's a good one. I never wash my face.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
I mean, I take a shower every morning, but I don't wash my face at night.
Gabrielle
No, you don't wash your face in the morning.
Madeline
You only take showers that morning.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. Only in the morning.
Eliza
Yeah.
Madeline
She always likes.
Gabrielle
That's just, like, evil.
Eliza
Like, oh, my God, I only take showers at night.
Gabrielle
Controversy.
Eliza
Like, I only take showers.
Madeline
No, because if you take a shower in the morning, then you're so, like, dirty when you get into bed. I only take it either midday or at night. Like, you never in the morning.
Gabrielle
It depends, like, how I feel.
Madeline
Also, I'm never awake in the air.
Kathy Heller
I'll tell you something that is not good about me, that people wouldn't. I have no patience.
Madeline
No.
Kathy Heller
Explain how I'm. No.
Gabrielle
Yours is worse than mine.
Eliza
Nothing.
Kathy Heller
Not even a dot.
Gabrielle
Not even actually upload a video. Like, no, no.
Kathy Heller
I'm like, I can't wait for anything. Like, it's. I'm gone.
Eliza
Especially Eliza.
Gabrielle
You can't wait in traffic.
Kathy Heller
No, definitely not.
Eliza
No Eliza.
Kathy Heller
But I also have no tolerance. I have zero tolerance from patients. It doesn't.
Eliza
But also, like, Eliza's, like, very late, and you get. You honk the car.
Gabrielle
Yeah, that's. Yeah, that's your thing. You're, like, chronically late. That's your.
Kathy Heller
When I was a kid, I was, like, her. Chronically late to everything.
Gabrielle
I'm not.
Kathy Heller
But now.
Eliza
And I'm not.
Gabrielle
Okay, wait. Like, you lock the front door. Okay.
Kathy Heller
I don't my energy around spending money because I think it's kind of cool for people to hear.
Gabrielle
I mean, you kind of just give us, like, Apple Pay, like, whenever we want.
Kathy Heller
And what's my relationship like with.
Gabrielle
Okay, well, here's the thing. It's not like we get, like, Van Cleefs and stuff and Cartier all the
Kathy Heller
time, but you get them.
Gabrielle
We get them, but, like, we have to, like, do something to get them, like.
Eliza
Yeah, you don't always kind of. What do you mean?
Kathy Heller
Never had to do anything to get anything.
Gabrielle
No, no, not like an achievement. No. Just like a milestone or something like that. Like, something.
Eliza
Yeah.
Gabrielle
No, but we get some hearing things that are very easy, but it's not, like, all the time. Like. Like, we give in Cleaves, like, all the time. You know what I'm saying? But, like, Like, Veronica. And so for me, like, do you
Kathy Heller
feel like I'm ever stressed about money?
Eliza
No, no.
Kathy Heller
Do you feel like I'm very.
Gabrielle
All the time? Like, I can order food whenever I want? You're not like, oh, you spent too much money or anything.
Eliza
I know.
Gabrielle
But also send me money if I.
Eliza
I feel like if I ask for money, I'm expecting, like, $30, and you're spending.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Eliza
You're giving me, like, 200.
Kathy Heller
I'm like, what do you think I value more money?
Gabrielle
Day I went to Great White, and I was like, can you send me money? And I thought you were gonna send me, like, $40 for food. And you sent me 300 for food.
Kathy Heller
Right.
Eliza
Like, we don't need 300 for food. You can keep that.
Kathy Heller
What do I always say? God is my cfo.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Madeline
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
And I also just feel like the way I am with money, it's kind of like how I am with. I just like being generous.
Gabrielle
Yeah, but you also, like, people make it. It's like.
Kathy Heller
It also.
Gabrielle
It's good for convenience and stuff. You're very. You use money for convenience a lot, but it's also, like, to make you happy. Like, since you can, like, you drive a nice car because you can.
Kathy Heller
It's like.
Gabrielle
It's like, nice.
Kathy Heller
Do you feel like you will live your life the way I am when you're an adult, or will there be something different that you would do that I did? What would that be? Or do you want to have it look like most not.
Gabrielle
But I don't want to. I don't know if I want to work.
Eliza
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
See, I like this.
Gabrielle
Yeah. No, I don't think I want to work.
Kathy Heller
Do you know how many friends of mine are like, I'm gonna work so I can retire my husband? And I'm like, why? Is that your goal?
Gabrielle
No, I'll go out and provide. Okay. I really like interior design, but I can do that in my 20s. And always have that as, like, a side job if I want to do that. But I don't want to have to be responsible for having to make the money and work. And I want to be able to have a nice car and stuff, but not have to work. Like, my husband.
Eliza
Like, I just want, like, my husband to, like, have the money and then all just, like, have the car.
Kathy Heller
Okay.
Eliza
With my kids.
Madeline
I'll just drive the kids to school. Yeah. I feel like I would want it to be, like, not the exact same, but, like, pretty similar.
Eliza
Yeah, pretty. I feel like I would also have, like, a job that, like, if, like,
Gabrielle
you don't have to.
Eliza
I'm not gonna have this happen. But, like, I feel like if you, like, he doesn't have a job, then I don't know about that, but I feel like I would have a job.
Kathy Heller
I feel like what people don't know is that in my family, from when I was growing up, I was always taking care of everybody.
Eliza
Yeah.
Gabrielle
So, like, you always do that. That's something.
Kathy Heller
My mom and dad. My dad passed away, but, like, let's say it was like, Hanukkah or Mother's Day or Passover or somebody's birthday. Who's hosting it? Me. You do? Giving everybody gifts. I'm giving everyone else gifts, like, since I was little. So I sort of always play that role, even with my friends. Like, how many times have I gotten my friends and my friends, husbands or my friends, kids, better gifts than, like. And I just feel. I don't know. I always feel like I play that role of, like, I'm there to lift everybody up emotionally, financially. You're getting better. I'm getting better at not being so much.
Gabrielle
Still get. Yeah, still get better at it. But you're like.
Eliza
I feel like the only people that usually get gifts to are like, you want gifts for daddy, but, like, you don't. You can get him, like, you can get him gifts. Mostly us, because, like, we don't return. We don't return. Like, you did the best.
Madeline
Oh, the last Hanukkah is, like, this
Eliza
Hanukkah, but also he returns a lot
Kathy Heller
of stuff, and he's not into that stuff.
Gabrielle
So it's annoying, though.
Eliza
I feel like you should only give gifts, like, to us because, like, you give, like, you know what we like. So, like, I feel like if you don't know what other people like and they're just gonna return it, just don't try.
Kathy Heller
Do you feel like you said it the other day. Do you feel like the way that we're doing. Our life is kind of a cool thing in the sense that, like, Daddy and I living in different houses, like, we don't fight and we're all intense. Like, I feel like other people could do that better.
Eliza
I feel like it's okay, but, like, it's fine. I feel like I like it. Like, it's okay, but, like.
Gabrielle
Like, it doesn't really affect me that much.
Eliza
Yeah, but like, because you know he loves you.
Kathy Heller
You know I love you and he. And I, like, it's fine.
Gabrielle
It's just like, I don't really like Florida. I think that's the thing. It's fine.
Madeline
Yeah. I just don't like the part where we have to, like, since whatever year it was like, we have to move back and forth.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Madeline
And like to Florida during COVID Because
Kathy Heller
the LA shut down. Then we came back when LA reopened. And then after the crime and the fires, you got back to Florida.
Eliza
I feel like I would rather be here, but if you, like, don't pick both, like, pick one. Like, I would prefer to live here,
Kathy Heller
but you like L. A better.
Eliza
Like, friends, school. Like, I love my school here, but also it just feels depressing there. Yeah, I feel like it's like, it's like peaceful in our house. Like, you love. But mom, like, you love our house, but, like, I feel like you don't, like, feel like you have more fun here, but you feel more peaceful there.
Kathy Heller
But.
Gabrielle
Yeah, I think even though it's my. Like, it's completely mental. Like, I know it's mental because when we were in Florida, I don't know why, it was just like the way I was thinking. I guess I was getting, like, my stomach was hurting so badly every day. Like, I couldn't eat anything. And then as soon as we got here, it, like, completely went away. And I know it's like completely mental, but, like, that's just how I think when I'm there. Like, I just get more like, here.
Eliza
Florida.
Gabrielle
In Florida.
Eliza
You like?
Gabrielle
No, my stomach doesn't hurt. I'm here.
Kathy Heller
Like, you just eat constantly when you're here.
Gabrielle
I know. I eat so much like, John. Okay, you look really good.
Kathy Heller
It doesn't matter. You always have. Your looks fine.
Gabrielle
Yeah, the food here is so much better.
Kathy Heller
It's so good.
Gabrielle
But I just like, that just like, shows how I feel different here because I know it's completely different.
Eliza
I feel like it's very nice and calm in Florida, but I would rather be here. Like, if you said, like, we're moving back here, like, I would Be, like, really happy. But, like, also, like, it's really calming and peaceful.
Kathy Heller
I know. Like, we have a cute.
Eliza
Like, it's both, but, like. Yeah, I feel like I have more fun here, but, like, if I made a life there, like, I would also be happy.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. It'll be interesting to see where God leads us this year. What lines up. Like, we've been trying different things. Like, we came back and toured a high school here, and we were all, like, not a fit. Yeah. And we really wanted to like it. And they even looked at a house. So it's like, we'll see where we're led. Right. We're being led to something. There's, like, a destiny unfolding, and we'll see. Yeah, I know, guys, this was so fun. Like, you guys came on my. This is our first episode together in. I've done a thousand episodes. I started when you were three weeks old, and this is the first time you've ever been on. What do you think? How has the podcast changed our life?
Gabrielle
Like, we were living in, like, little. A little house.
Eliza
Yeah. We was in, like, busiest street.
Gabrielle
In front of, like, a bus.
Kathy Heller
Yes.
Eliza
Yeah.
Gabrielle
And now we, like.
Eliza
Yeah. Before that, you were, like, living in an apartment, and then you moved and
Gabrielle
you feel like you have so much more freedom.
Kathy Heller
I think also, I think my favorite part is that I. I set the intention to have a career where I could mostly be with you guys and work a little bit, but mostly be with you. And I have something where I get to do that.
Gabrielle
Yeah, I'm mostly with you. I can't in an office.
Kathy Heller
I don't know. I work, like, five to ten hours a week.
Gabrielle
You also work in our living room,
Kathy Heller
so it's like, yeah, like, this week we're on. We're on a break kind of because we're in la. I had two calls, and then I shot a couple podcasts, and the rest of the time we're together.
Eliza
I like that, like, you're very, like, flexible with your, like.
Madeline
Yeah.
Eliza
Like, you don't really. But, like, you can, like, like, push a call to, like, a couple hours later. But, like, you mostly hang out with us and, like, only, like, you only have calls, like, for, like, three hours in the morning.
Kathy Heller
Is it weird for you when someone comes up to us at, like, an airport or a restaurant and you're like, oh, they know.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Is that weird?
Gabrielle
But you also, like, invite women to our house a lot and they're always,
Kathy Heller
like, over the streets.
Gabrielle
Yeah. Like, retrieves and stuff. And they're always like, what do you think of your own? I'm like, yeah. Like, I know.
Eliza
Yeah. They're always like, you know, your mom's so cool, but, like, I get that, like, a lot.
Kathy Heller
But I. We.
Gabrielle
Another thing, like, about. I know it's, like, just because of waymos, but, like, when I'm in Florida, I feel like I just don't have as much freedom because I can't drive.
Madeline
Before we moved, you said that you have. We have, like, so much more freedom in Florida because we could, like, go on a bike ride, but I, like, if it was my option, I wouldn't go on a bike ride, like, ever. And I honestly think I forgot how to ride a bike. And you're like, you can go swimming and you can play tennis, but that's like.
Kathy Heller
But your best friend did just go to Florida.
Eliza
Yeah, but she doesn't like it either.
Kathy Heller
Yeah.
Eliza
Yeah. But also, like, I feel like, like, the freedom that you talk about in Florida is in our gated community, not out of there. Yeah, like, that's, like, the only freedom you talk about.
Kathy Heller
We're getting a Joe in the juice, though, so, you know, we're cool.
Gabrielle
Okay.
Madeline
That, like, makes it all better, right?
Eliza
Yeah, that, like, that makes everything.
Gabrielle
We're barely gonna go.
Madeline
Yeah, I know.
Gabrielle
I can go twice.
Kathy Heller
We.
Gabrielle
We get it, like, sometimes, say, use
Kathy Heller
what you want your careers to be when you grow up.
Gabrielle
Okay, so I want to be an interior designer.
Kathy Heller
You're really good at it. You did your bathroom. It's really nice.
Gabrielle
It wasn't.
Kathy Heller
My bathroom's not perfect. It's nice. Yeah, it's good. Yeah. What do you want to do?
Gabrielle
I want to change some stuff. Wait, I'm not done. Okay, I'm going to.
Madeline
Wait.
Gabrielle
So I want to do that, like, in college and stuff. Like, study that and then do that, like, after college. And then once I get married, I'm not going to do anymore.
Eliza
Okay. And, like, during high school, when I have a car, I want to, like, have, like, a little job. Yeah, like, a little job. And then, like, what's like a little job?
Gabrielle
Like, working at, like, Brandy's?
Eliza
Yeah, like, something like that. Like, at a little store. And then I want to have my own store, and then I want to have a podcast.
Kathy Heller
You want have your own podcast?
Gabrielle
What, A store? Like, a what?
Eliza
Like, I want to make my own store. Yeah. And then I want to have a podcast.
Gabrielle
Like, do you want it to be, like, the paper store that you love?
Eliza
No.
Madeline
Oh, gosh.
Eliza
Not club.
Madeline
No cafe.
Eliza
Little cafe.
Kathy Heller
Okay.
Gabrielle
And you.
Kathy Heller
What do you want your for to be.
Madeline
I don't know, I'm going to like, I want to have like my own business. Like, I don't know what it would be. So I'm like, kind of set and it'll be like, yeah. But then I also want to do something like, on the side that's like, fun.
Gabrielle
Okay.
Madeline
Yeah.
Eliza
I feel like also I want to be dj.
Kathy Heller
Dj. That's so.
Madeline
Or, okay, I can be
Gabrielle
famous.
Eliza
Like, like the dance.
Kathy Heller
Yes, of the dance.
Madeline
It's about myself.
Eliza
But I feel like a podcast is, like, really easy. But also like, you make like a lot of money from it. Because I feel like whatever you want, like your topic to be, like, that's your topic. And then you just like post videos about it. And I feel like that's like, very easy and like, it is fun. Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Who's your celebrity crush? Do you not want to admit it? Who made a cake and stuck little people's pictures and that was you. Toothpicks.
Gabrielle
You had like Timothee Chalamet on there.
Kathy Heller
Who else?
Eliza
But like, that cake is like, for, like, like it's called, like, what's it called?
Kathy Heller
What's it called?
Madeline
A.
Eliza
Like, it's like people from like cartoons that you can be like, oh, well,
Madeline
hear me out, Cake.
Eliza
Yeah, like, hear me out. But like, he was cute. Like, oh, yeah.
Madeline
Like, no, like some people do, like, hear me out. Like the number seven.
Gabrielle
Walker Scobell was on it.
Madeline
Like that.
Eliza
I don't like him.
Kathy Heller
Who do you think is the cutest celebrity?
Madeline
No, if someone's on hear me out cake and it's like actual person, that's like, offensive.
Kathy Heller
Malachi. You like him. Malachi is not like, you have a T shirt with his face on it. Who do you think is the cutest?
Eliza
Me. Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Who was your. Who was your favorite on Dancing with the Stars? We were obsessed with it this week.
Gabrielle
Alex.
Kathy Heller
Alex Earl.
Madeline
Yana's a crush.
Kathy Heller
Just as well.
Gabrielle
And then second Robert.
Kathy Heller
Yeah, he was so cute. Robert Irwin. Who did you guys like?
Gabrielle
Robert. Alex was the best.
Madeline
I only watched it because she was on it.
Kathy Heller
So low key.
Gabrielle
They were fun to watch. But there was one that we didn't like.
Madeline
Oh, yeah, Just. Okay.
Eliza
Just a little bit.
Kathy Heller
A little bit.
Gabrielle
We didn't, like, know how they got so far, but we did not like.
Eliza
Yes, I did not.
Madeline
No. But Andy, I liked how he got really fun.
Eliza
It was so fun.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. Alex was so good. Have you had a favorite guest that's been on my show so far?
Madeline
I don't know who's been on Your show.
Eliza
You don't have, like.
Kathy Heller
You, like, Bethany Frankel. She's been on.
Gabrielle
That was so long ago.
Kathy Heller
That was so long.
Eliza
I wasn't, like, aware.
Kathy Heller
A lot of the people have been on my show are not, like, Matthew McConaughey has been on. You don't even know who that is.
Gabrielle
I do. Yeah, you do.
Kathy Heller
I've seen how.
Eliza
I don't know who that is. You have.
Kathy Heller
You watch that really well.
Eliza
You had, like, a lady from, like. Like, We Can Be Heroes.
Madeline
Oh, yeah.
Kathy Heller
Oh, Priyanka Chopra. Yeah, she's awesome.
Eliza
Yeah, we know her, but that was, like, the only. That was, like, cool.
Kathy Heller
Know her from. We Can Be Here. That was.
Madeline
Yeah, we Can Be Here.
Kathy Heller
That's your, like. No, I feel like the people.
Eliza
I think you have to have, like, more cool people on.
Kathy Heller
Yeah. The songwriters I've had on Andy Graham,
Gabrielle
I give you billboards.
Kathy Heller
The people that you should have on Christina Perry. Like, you don't even know these people. You should have.
Madeline
You should have, like.
Gabrielle
I know who they are, but they're not.
Eliza
You should have Khloe, Kim, Kylie, Scott, Courtney.
Kathy Heller
Yeah, yeah.
Eliza
Kendall. The whole.
Kathy Heller
The whole family, Chris.
Madeline
The whole family.
Eliza
But I really want you to meet Chloe.
Gabrielle
I love her.
Kathy Heller
She's so cute. That would be so aura for me. Yeah. Okay.
Eliza
Okay.
Kathy Heller
Is there anything else that you guys want to say before we.
Madeline
Oh, I saw this. You know, you remember Jake Shane? We, like, saw him basically on his, like, new podcast or something. He was talking about how people sleep. Do you sleep, like, hot or cold?
Gabrielle
Oh, yeah. With Nick Jonas.
Madeline
Yeah.
Gabrielle
Was. Yeah.
Kathy Heller
And do you sleep. He sleeps at 64 degrees.
Madeline
No, he sleeps 60.
Gabrielle
Oh, yeah.
Kathy Heller
62 temperatures. She. I'm like, Eliza. Oh, my God. It's crazy. There's a penguin. Whatever.
Gabrielle
You've been to, like, the only thing I'm gonna ask for, Like, I just need my own thermostat. Like, yeah, actually, like, I just.
Madeline
It's like, I'm on, like, the other side of the house, so I don't know why you.
Eliza
Like, if someone wants my room, I would switch because my room, whatever my room is, it's three degrees colder. I don't know why, but only three. So I would switch because I like Eliza's room and Gabby's way more. I hate my room.
Madeline
I don't like hero.
Kathy Heller
Anyway, let me just ask this one last question. What do you think each of you, like, if you had to say what each of you is specializing in or you're the best at, like, what would
Gabrielle
it be about each other?
Kathy Heller
Yeah. I'll say for you. Style.
Eliza
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Also, your memory is insane. You remember every single detail. Like, once we were talking about our trip to New Hampshire, and you're like, yeah. And across the street, on the awning outside, it said. I was like, oh, my gosh.
Gabrielle
I remember we went to that. What's it called? Ice cream shop in Boston. I remember what it was called, all of it when I. When we were. I was like, eight.
Madeline
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
So your memory, your style. I feel like you're also really, like, my advocate. You're always, like, giving, like, encouragement to me. What else do you. What do you think her thing is?
Gabrielle
Like, organizing.
Kathy Heller
She's so good at organizing. And she's also.
Gabrielle
You're very, like, delicate. Not like, you're very, like, in, like, intentional intention.
Madeline
Not precise.
Gabrielle
A little bit too much precise. Yeah, you're very precise.
Kathy Heller
She's a really good. She draws really well. She's a good artist.
Gabrielle
Maddie is very, like, you're gonna tick tock.
Kathy Heller
Maddie has a lot of enthusiasm. She brings good energy. She's a lot of fun.
Gabrielle
Yeah.
Madeline
It just.
Eliza
I have the most confidence out of all.
Kathy Heller
Yeah.
Eliza
Like, I would do this, like, alone now. Like, they.
Kathy Heller
Oh, yeah.
Madeline
Are you gonna do that right now?
Eliza
Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna do it. All right. And she. I don't care if you post it because, like, I'm not that type of person. Like, they. If you post something with them, like, they get mad, but I don't care.
Kathy Heller
What do you.
Eliza
I think I like things posted.
Gabrielle
You're very persuasive on people.
Eliza
Yeah.
Kathy Heller
Very influential.
Gabrielle
Yeah, you're really influential.
Kathy Heller
Well, this was super fun, and you guys are amazing, and I had so much fun. I can't believe I thought this was going to be 10 minutes. And it went by so fast.
