What does it really cost to follow Jesus? In the final installment of our four-part series examining distraction, exhaustion, comfort, and spiritual depth, we tackle one of the most challenging questions modern Christians face: Have we become too comfortable to fully embrace biblical discipleship? In a culture built around convenience, self-preservation, and instant gratification, the call of Jesus often sounds radically different. Following Christ involves sacrifice, surrender, obedience, and a willingness to trust God even when the path is difficult.Throughout this conversation, we explore the relationship between suffering and spiritual growth, the reality of persecution around the world, the dangers of burnout and busyness, and the importance of Christian community. We discuss how comfort, control, and self-focus can quietly become idols that pull us away from God's purposes and why genuine discipleship requires dying to self and living for Christ.Clarity in chaos. Bringing hope to a chaotic world. Join us as we conclude this series with a powerful challenge to examine whether we're pursuing comfort—or faithfully following Jesus wherever He leads.patreon.com/TheTruthResponsehttps://linktr.ee/thetruthresponsehttps://www.instagram.com/thetruthresponse/https://www.facebook.com/thetruthresponsehttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-truth-response/id1504362531https://open.spotify.com/show/6Kpkgsy7I7zVuv5UyiRACu?si=BqwQH988RW2DpLbYg5BnSA

This episode is part 37 in a series going through the story of the Book of Mormon. This episode covers chapters 12-13 of the book of 3 Nephi. Jesus had appeared to the surviving Nephites gathered at a temple in the Land Bountiful. The Mormon Jesus gave his opening lecture that included a formula for baptism. Now, the Mormon Jesus begins to teach a version of the Sermon on the Mount that strongly parallels Matthew chapters 5-7. This episode covers the part that follows chapters 5 and 6. We look at subtle differences but also things retained from the Sermon on the Mount that don't seem to make much sense for ancient America. Some things had such a cultural context that I wonder if these Nephites would even know what the Mormon Jesus was talking about.Further research:Book of Mormon in videoJoseph Smith: The Prophet of the RestorationThe Book of Mormon online: 3 Nephi [chapter 12, 13]Have questions for Truthspresso? Can God be completely sovereign and still hold people responsible for their choices? If no one naturally seeks God, why are people accountable for rejecting Him?In Part 3 of our series, George Binoka and Jeff Musgrave tackle one of theology's most difficult questions without getting lost in philosophical speculation. Instead, they stay anchored in Scripture.Together they explore:Why this is a biblical tension—not a contradiction. What Romans 10 teaches about faith, hearing, and the gospel. The relationship between God's drawing and human responsibility.Whether Christians really have "free will."Why God's sovereignty should never make us passive in evangelism. How abiding in Christ keeps us from both manipulation and apathy. This conversation doesn't pretend to remove every mystery. Instead, it provides a biblical framework that strengthens confidence in God, fuels evangelism, and encourages believers to faithfully participate in God's mission.

As followers of Christ, we often feel the tension of living between two worlds. We work here, raise families here, and build relationships here, yet Scripture reminds us that this world is not our home. We are citizens of another kingdom, pilgrims journeying toward a greater country, and ambassadors representing a greater King.In Episode 32 of the Sanctify Christ as Lord series, we explore what it means to live faithfully as strangers and exiles in a culture that often moves in a different direction than the Kingdom of God. Rather than blending in with the world around us, we are called to stand out through our hope, our holiness, and our unwavering allegiance to Christ. The more we sanctify Christ as Lord, the more we discover that our true home is found in Him.#BoldApologia #SanctifyChristAsLord #ChristianPodcast #ChristianLiving #Exiles #Pilgrims #StrangersAndExiles #KingdomOfGod #ChristIsLord #ChristianWorldview #BiblicalTruth #Discipleship #FaithfulLiving #FollowJesus #CitizensOfHeaven #1Peter #ChristianFaith #GospelCentered #LordshipOfChrist #HopeInChrist

The Case For Loving Your Wife Well.Ephesians 5:25-33

In this special sermon episode, we begin a brand-new series exploring the God Christians have worshiped and confessed for centuries: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Drawing from Ephesians 1, Romans 8, and the historic Nicene Creed, we examine what it means that God is called Father—not merely because He created us, but because He eternally has a Son and, through Christ, adopts believers into His family. What if the greatest miracle of the gospel is not simply that sinners are forgiven, but that orphans become children? Join us as we explore the Father’s eternal love, His purpose in redemption, and the breathtaking privilege of crying out by the Spirit, “Abba, Father.”Scripture: Ephesians 1:3–14; Romans 8:14–17#BoldApologia #Trinity #NiceneCreed #ChristianTheology #ChurchHistory #FatherSonHolySpirit #Ephesians1 #Romans8 #Adoption #AbbaFather #Pentecostal #Apologetics #ChristianPodcast

Pastoral authority is one of the most misunderstood subjects in the modern church. In this episode, Pastors Ekkie Tepsupornchai, Kofi Adu-Boahen, and Nathaniel Jolly discuss the authority Christ has given to pastors and elders, why it is both real and necessary, and how it is always exercised under the authority of God's Word. Join us as we examine what Scripture teaches about leadership, submission, accountability, and the care of Christ's church.

The devil does not always try to destroy people through obvious evil. Sometimes he simply distracts them. If he can keep your eyes off Christ, your mind out of the Word, and your heart consumed with lesser things, he is perfectly content.
