She's been tearing it up on the stand up comedian circuit as well as a political commentator. And we'll say first off, we are so happy to see I don't know why I'm going we just me although this royal way. But the royal we we're so happy to see the success of the Stand Up Comedy tour. What has been the joke that has gotten you the most heat? I want to start with that. Let's just jump into that. We'll get into Colbert and Mom Donnie and the new stuff in a second. But I want to know what is the joke that has got you the most heat?
Aaron Wexler
Okay, without giving away some jokes that are going to be in my headline sets that are coming up in Dallas or still tickets in Dallas and San Diego. If anyone's listening. Tampa sold out in like a day. So I'm working on getting dates for Tampa if you're listening. People are like foaming at the mouth there. They keep asking me to add dates. But the joke that got me a lot of backlash was I I said pit bulls are like Muslims and you know, buck. The backlash from the pit bull owner
Buck Sexton
community was are you able to tell the joke or am I giving up? Ok, you got to tell the joke.
Aaron Wexler
Yeah. So for people who haven't heard it, it's kind of gone viral online. People are posting it everywhere. But I said I have a dog, Theo, and he's a sweet black lab who wants to play with everyone, but I don't let him play with pits because pit bulls are like Muslims. They're not all violent, but almost all violent attacks happen with them. And I continue from there. It's a, it's a, it's like a two minute joke. But I talk about how, like, you know, you can't undo all those years of inbreeding and teaching them to fight from a young age and, like, pretend that they're suddenly westernized, I mean, domesticated. And, you know, you'll know a pit for years. Like, you'll have people saying, the ones I grew up with were super peaceful. And you're like, yeah, sure, like, why don't we put them in our dog parks? Because it worked out so well in all the other dog parks, you know, and then you have to wonder if it's a practicing pit. And, you know, it just, it isn't a metaphor for anything. But it's too, I just condensed it from right now.
Buck Sexton
I get it. All right, well, people can go see the real thing. But I could see why that would definitely get you some heat. It reminds me when I used to be the one person who would go on CNN after some Muslim after some jihadist suicide bomber had just blown up, like a bunch of people somewhere. And I was like, hey, I think that's really bad and we should stop these people and everyone else. You know, it's like, it's our fault. We made them do it. So I used to be one of the guys who was like, yeah, not all terrorists are Muslim, but, like, a lot of terrorists are Muslim.
Aaron Wexler
Yeah, not all Muslim are terrorists, but almost all terrorists are Muslim. That's what.
Buck Sexton
Yeah, so, yeah, there's a lot of that going on.
Aaron Wexler
Yeah.
Buck Sexton
What's up?
Aaron Wexler
You know, say with pit bulls. It's the truth. I won't let them play with pits. I won't, I won't.
Buck Sexton
So this is really interesting to me. And this is going to get all kinds of hate online now, which I love, by the way. All the DM comments going to go or the comments under the, under the YouTube video be hilarious because I have the same thing. But I am as you, you and I are both. We love dogs. Like, I, I admit that I have like, an irrational level of love for dogs. I do put them at, like, below people. But if I had to choose between some people and a dog, like, it's going to be a tight call. So, you know, I, I, this is also why I became so anti Christy Gnome, among other things, because with her dog story, and people were like, no, that was okay what she did. I was like, absolutely not. Like, absolutely not. But. So that's, people are going to disagree with me. On that, the pit bull owner community don't seem to. I try to explain this to them. As somebody who loves dogs, I'm like, yes, you can show me all these stats and everything. Yes, you can tell me that chihuahuas also bite people. If I give someone a BB gun, it's possible that it's misused and it maybe shoots somebody in the eye. That would be the worst case scenario. If I give someone an AR15 and it's misused, like, even by accident, people die.
Aaron Wexler
Mm.
Buck Sexton
That's the difference in pit bulls and other dogs too. Like, there's a. There's like, a gauge issue here that I don't think gets talked about enough.
Aaron Wexler
I just. I mean, to me, it's the same. I mean, it really is the best comparison with Islam because, like, you can't think of it as a normal, sweet dog. It's been bred to a point. I mean, it's meant for illegal fighting. That's why they were invented, basically. Right. And you also look at the owners. I don't know why. Why you need. You should have a permit to have a pit bull. Like, it's like an AK47. It's just so irresponsible. In the same way in Islam, I personally think it is a political, military ideology. I don't think of it as a. As a religion, but that's an entirely separate topic.
Buck Sexton
Well, I'm gonna say, you know, pit bulls are actually, I believe, illegal in Miami, which is really funny because I see them all the time. But people. People get around it by always. They just claim mixed breed. They say it's a mixed breed, or they say it's like a boxer mix or something. Right. I mean, who's. Really. No one's doing genetic testing on the pit bulls, but I think by statute, there are cities that ban them, and there are cities the same thing, by the way, with Presa Canario, some places actually ban rottweilers, which I know is very. But, you know, they're another one. Yeah, they're another one.
Aaron Wexler
There are buildings that even ban huskies and others where, like, because they're noisy. Like, there are reasons to ban it, but for some reason, we're just. Just like, with Islam, we're not allowed to talk about the pit bull community. But the funny thing is, I loved the comments on the videos that were saying, like, how dare you do that? That's so unkind to pit bulls to compare them to Muslim.
Buck Sexton
Wow. That's funny. Because usually the pit. The pit bull ownership community, they go hard in defense of Their pities.
Aaron Wexler
I actually had a lot of people, owners come out and say, I'm a pitbull owner. But this was good. There was. There was honestly a lot of really positive. I get really positive feedback to the stuff I'm doing. I'm sure I get negative comments, but I don't notice them. I do it for the people that like it and feel like they're seeing their opinion and like seeing the truth in it. So I really don't care about the people that are offended.
Buck Sexton
I'm fine. I'm fine. Also, by the way, with the people who say no, I understand that it's different. Like, I understand that owning a mountain lion and owning a like, house cat are different things in terms of, like the risk profile. I just choose to own a mountain lion and I know that, like, that I'm cool with. But the people who do the like. But what about golden retrievers? Really? Really? We're gonna do that thing. We're gonna do that thing with gold retrievers. I'll never forget someone sent me a. Argue with me on this one. They sent me a French bulldog fatality because French bulldogs are another very popular, very cute dog. I had one, you know, my family, I should say had one for 15 years in New York. And then I saw the vid. It was a pit bull that had like a quarter French bulldog. So I was like, okay, there we go.
Aaron Wexler
They died of COVID And you're like, no.
Buck Sexton
I was like, it was like £50 too. I was like, that's not a French bulldog. That is a pit bull that had like a little bit of French bu in its background.
Aaron Wexler
Anyway, I want to say one last thing though, which is the owners in Miami, it's. It's. It's a certain population that has pit bulls. And it's like the women that you're like, it's like the Kardashian type women is. I'll leave.
Buck Sexton
Oh, there's the savior complex of the dog. Of the dog. They have to go. I know there are women who go into the shelter and they will get again the people that get the dog. That's like a mix of like a beagle and a papillon and it looks kind of sad. Like, that's cute. And I, I love shelter dogs. I'm not anti shelter dog at all. I think it', beautiful, beautiful thing. But there is a kind of woman who goes into the shelter and is like, give me the most aggressive, deranged looking, one eyed pit bull that was like trained for fighting. Because I'M going to rehab it now as a 120 pound woman, like give me the 70 pound pit bull that looks like it could fight a mountain lion. And like that's going to be like my, my bedside dog or like that's going to be the one that sleeps at my feet. I'm like, what do you, how do you think this is going to go?
Aaron Wexler
I think there's 100% overlap of women like that and women who vote for open borders on crazy leftist policies.
Buck Sexton
Well, let's get into this. Where we're going to go in the news here is did you see these crazy chicks? You're a former New Yorker like me outside of the Luigi trial and what they were saying, you know I'm talking about, I can just tell you what it was.
Aaron Wexler
No, you could tell me, but I know that there are a lot of deranged women that are obsessed with Luigi and are they in love with him?
Buck Sexton
We're gonna, we're gonna. So I'll. We'll, we'll drop that. We'll drop the clip in here so people can hear it. But I'll tell you about it in one second. That's what we call a tease in the business, everybody. Our sponsor here is Birch Gold Group. When there are supply constraints, commodities, you know, prices, they surge. You saw this because the Strait of Hormuz with oil and you see this with gold because a lot of people are buying it up and central banks are buying it up because of all the inflation that's going on. Birch Gold Group is who I trust to get you into physical gold. And now through May 29, Birch Gold is giving first time gold buyers rebate up to $10,000 on qualifying purchases. For details and a free information kit on diversifying into gold text buck to the number 9898. 98. Birch Gold can help you convert an existing IRA or 401K into a tax sheltered IRA and physical gold text buck to 98. 9898 or Birch Gold Group today. All right, all right, Aaron. So I'll just tell you this. People will hear it. But I'll explain to you so you can know outside the Luigi trial. There are these women who have press passes. I might add, somehow they got press passes. They're probably like citizen journalists who have a blog with like three, you know, former lesbian, now non binary trans or something that read their blog. But the point. And by the way, the women look like that's their deal. They say, I mean they're straight up saying on video knowing they're on video, I might add, like two reporters who are asking them questions. Luigi did something that is great. His children are better off. I'd rather the children of the murdered, assassinated UnitedHeal CEO are better off because he, the United Healthcare CEO, is the real murderer. That's where the left is now. And I see this all over the stuff on it. What is it mostly women who say this? What is wrong? You're a woman. Explain this to me.
Aaron Wexler
Well, it's mostly the suppression of what's been going on. Everything from not even mentioning how he's having a legal cavity search done on a perjury charge. I have yet to see any news outlet whatsoever report on that. And also the. The fact that most of this evidence was unlawfully obtained. The chain of custody was broken. And that's just the truth of the matter. And it's horrible because the only person that ends up suffering is Luigi Mangione and the people. Because it's an insult to the intelligence of the American people. And let's be honest, most average Americans support him. We're fed up with being exploited and treated like cattle, basically. Blood sacrifices to line the pockets of health insurance executive and the politicians that they bribe with our money that they're stealing from us. It's pretty sickening. You know, other countries have had revolutions for far less. We're pretty much the most cut and submissive population in all of human history. And I'm tired of it. It's time for everyone to grow some balls and stand. I can't. I can't buck. I mean, it's so. It's so twisted. It's the same people that celebrated what happened to Charlie. Right? There's something, there's just there. I mean, I think there, there's something seriously broken and rotten in the culture in America. And it goes into, I mean, I think a lot of the hate that we see in general right now, it's also on the right. It's not just on the left. We have a lot of crazy people now. And it's like, I hate to say we're in a malaise because the last time that word was really popular, you know, widely used, it was poorly done. But there is like a cultural malaise right now, like where I just. Like there are things that are right and things that are wrong and this is wrong. Murdering someone in cold blood on the street is just wrong. It doesn't matter what they're. I, I just. I don't actually know where we go from here when that's something that's acceptable.
Buck Sexton
It also, I mean, so, so it's, it's wrong on the most basic human level of morality and empathy and decency. And it's wrong in a way, like in a biblical, even pre biblical way, like you're just killing somebody because you feel like it. But even beyond that, it also, I think, yeah, people say, oh, these CEOs are now going to be like looking over their shoulder. No, they're not. Not really. Like, the business continues. Nothing changes as a result of this. It was just, it was just one person's rage and, and the, and really the idiocy. Also not understanding. I mean, you want to know what the problem is with the healthcare system? The problem is that people are constantly being. Everything is going to be free and everything's going to be great. That's the problem. The problem is actually the communist lies around our healthcare system, which is like, hey, this can be fine. Everyone can have everything they want. And reality, you need to tell people, like, stop being so fat. Take your health into your own hands. Expect that you're going to have to pay for good service at some level of different kinds of health care. Like not, you know, getting hit by a car in the emergency room. But, you know, there's a whole other conversation that needs to be had around this. But the chicks who liked Luigi, this is a, like widespread. This is almost like the, the fan girling over the death row guys, you know, which is another.
Aaron Wexler
Yeah, yeah, it's the same. Yeah. I mean, women have been mentally ill for a long time. But. But I. What else? I think. But we were supposed to be like, kind of irrational, just not this irrational. But the problem with this that I'm seeing in general is that there's a lot. There's a blame being misplaced all over. And so right now, like, what's wrong with our health care system is not like the CEO, but. I'm sorry, how many members of Congress do I have to see Doing ridiculous photo shoots, going on podcasts, talking about, like, I will say the thing that we're not supposed to say. I don't care about UFOs, I want Congress to pass laws about price transparency. So when you walk into a doctor's office, when you go to the hospital, you know what you're paying for. We were just talking about dogs. When we go to the vet, the vet tells you, this is what it will cost you to do these things for your dog. And you're like, okay, we're going to do these things. And you know what? You're going to pay and there are no surprises. Why can't we have that in our health care system? But instead we have this like pitchfork populism on the right and the left right now. And I think the only difference between these extremes on both sides is like if you're pro life or not. And I'm not even convinced that people are like truly pro life on the right. But you know, we just have like pitchfork angry mobs that want to be angry at someone. It's the same way like when people blame, it's not to be. Like it's not a non sequitur in my brain. These are connected. But like when people blame the housing crisis on a firm like Blackstone, it's super easy to blame the big financial corporations. To me that's the right wings version of blaming it on patriarchy or racism. You just blame it on people who are successful global elites or Jews. But you blame it on Blackstone when the reality is these cities need to. And I know you're having troubles with it, it's kind of having issues with your renovations in your house. But we need cities to get rid of all these crazy obstacles that make it super expensive and prohibitive to to build and that would actually relieve the housing crisis. But instead people just want to blame wealthy people in Blackstone that has less than 1% of the rental market, things like that. So yeah, I mean, women are crazy is I think the conclusion from.
Buck Sexton
Yes, I do see quite a bit of that. I want to ask you about the state of comedy Colbert and the end of late night TV because you're like right on the front lines of that right now. But our sponsor here is Super Sure. So how many brokers does it take to insure your business? To all the small business, medium sized and large size business owners out there, do you even know what policies you have? How many policies, what do they cover? You got to have policies, but what are they and who's in charge? Who knows? This is where super sure comes in. One broker for all your business insurance, backed by a team that works with you year round, not just at renewal. And super sure has a fine print fax tool that translates the legal jargon into plain English. You know what's covered and what's not. Right now you can go to super sure.com, get a full report on your current policies with no obligation. Find out if you're over insured, underinsured or somewhere in between. Go to super sure.com one super agency, one powerful platform paid for by Super Sure Insurance. Agency LLC, a licensed insurance agency. Okay, so Colbert show is over. I actually think this is a good thing. The market's speaking out in a sense that these late night guys. I honestly don't believe there. I think there are a lot of. Of course, you are a rising star in the comedic ranks and I'm hoping that many of your comedy fans will be like, oh, I now want to go listen to the commentary, a political commentary of Clay and Buck because they're so smart and they were nice to Aaron. But put that aside. Shameless plug for the radio show. There are great comedians out there. I mean, I, I think Nate Bragazzi is my personal favorite right now. But there's, I think Tom Segura super funny. I think. Who's the guy who does Beautiful Dogs? The Donald Trump thing, you know, he's amazing. Yeah, Shane Gillis, he's super. Like, there's. I feel like there's a renaissance in comedy happening while the old guard of people handed platforms who have Trump derangement are losing steam. That's the Kimmel's. The. What are you. What you're actually in this game. What do you see?
Aaron Wexler
So I don't totally agree just in that I think there was a moment in time, especially in 2024, where like, you, you could make a joke like Shane Gillis's joke about Trump. It's something that like broke a barrier in some way because you weren't even allowed to talk about Trump before. And so the fact that he was successful with that is good. But he's not right wing. If you say that he's actually right wing. There are like, I could count on one hand who I'd think of and that's it. And what I'm. What people don't know. And like, I don't talk about this often because people, especially when you're performing, you don't want to break the illusion of the magic that happens when you're in a room, like it's performance and you're there to entertain people. So you don't want them to really think about what happens behind the scenes. It's kind of like ballet in that way where you want it to look really easy when there's a lot of work that goes into it. And some of that work is there are a lot of people that try to keep us off stage. I had my very first set at a place in New York and I wasn't allowed back for months because some triggered server went to the booker and said, you know, she, she just triggered me she denies my existence. And the booker just felt backed into a court, just felt so nervous. They said, okay, we won't have her back. That has since been fixed. But that's also because I have a. But that's because I'm able to kick doors down because I have a social media following and I'm a tough cookie. And so I just don't. I'm not going to cower, I'm not going to not say the jokes I want to tell. Like, I'm going to tell them anyways. If I were almost any other comic, that moment probably would have made me throw out all, anything that I thought could be incendiary. I wouldn't be saying any of the stuff I say right now if I wanted to really make it. So I think we actually, I think people need to be aware the culture is far from being one. And we're gonna, we're getting that pendulum swing back from, you know, as naturally happens, you know, the pendulum always swing.
Buck Sexton
I have been telling people this, I've been telling people, you know, enjoy year one of Trump 2.0. And as much as you can of year two, before it starts to hit home that the Democrats are, they're the, the left, the Democrats, same thing. They're insane and they're just as insane now. And if they could shut us all down, if they could double mask us, if they could make us say the required pronouns, if they can have some 18 year old who used to be named Biff who now wants to be called Susie, who is going to be spiking a volleyball into your, like, teenage girl's face because he says he's a girl now and this is what he needs to compete. You know, like they'll do all that still. Like, they're all on board for this. They actually have not changed. And they're really angry. They're really angry about this Trump stuff, which I'm sure you see some of being out there on the road doing the comedy, the routine.
Aaron Wexler
Yeah, I get hecklers. I see it in right wing audiences. Right wing audiences are still hesitant to allow themselves to laugh at certain topics because, like, you'd be surprised, but they feel like they're not supposed to all the time. It's not because the joke's not funny. I will admit it's not. Not all jokes work, not all jokes land, but you could see when the audience is just holding themselves back from that. But listen, I'm in all these clubs, almost every place I go to, a comic feels the need to say something to the producer of the show or to the booker saying, well, she's right wing. Like people are actively trying to get me off the stage.
Buck Sexton
Oh, so they're. Yeah, no, I'm sure the gatekeeping is very, very real and there's a lot of that that's going on still, especially at like these clubs and stuff where that's really a part of it. But I will say again, I'm speaking as an outsider, but from the media, I can certainly say this outsider to the comedy circuit. The ability to break through now, like you said, you had a joke that went viral. Like these are not things that existed really in the same way 10 years ago. And also the ability to grow audience as a result of being able to put your stuff on, like you're doing sets, people are seeing stuff, people then putting stuff out online. It's a lot harder to suppress talent now than. And by the way, this is true on political commentary as well. Like if you're really good, I mean you were doing a lot of that, you still do a lot of that. You're really good. People find you right now. You have a big following, you have, you have all these followers, you have a huge online following. That is, that is a, a neutralization of the gatekeeping that before Elon bought X, honestly wasn't even really possible. Right. Because X has made it. So if it pops up there, you're going to see it elsewhere. Right. So anyway, so I'm just. From my perspective, I know you're fighting an uphill battle with this stuff, but you can actually see, you even said this, you can actually win the battle.
Public Investing Platform Announcer
Ten years.
Aaron Wexler
No, but Pete, like I'm fighting it. I am kicking down doors and if I didn't have, I had a solid social media following when I started doing stand up January 1st, I was at 350k on Instagram. If we're talking like social media numbers, I'm about to hit 900k. So I'm getting close to that. So it's like that goes to show you but like, because that number, it like feeds itself. So I get to go in and act like, you know, a bsd because I have a social media following that actually like most people would not be able to do that if I hadn't been doing the political commentary before. So. And also you still need crowds. I need to be able to go up and get a seven minute set at the store or at some place in New York. Like you need to be able to go up and just practice things. You can't just Be selling out headline shows because that's how you work on your material, and that's where a lot of the gatekeeping is. And so I'm very lucky, though. I have people in my corner who are making sure that I get that time. But it takes a lot more than people would think. And so seeing it blow up online does not mean that we have the culture and that they're not trying to keep us out of it.
Buck Sexton
Has any. Forget heckler. Have any audience at any of the venues tried to get your phone number before or after a set?
Aaron Wexler
Yes, Buck. It happens all the time. All the time.
Buck Sexton
Now the next question is successfully.
Aaron Wexler
No, no.
Buck Sexton
Shooting them down. Shooting them down. This is, like, the funniest thing to me is. Is, like, the data that says that, like, women are like, where do they expect to, like, you know, meet. Meet, like, their husband? Or where were they. Where would they want to meet a guy?
Aaron Wexler
I expect to meet my husband sitting in my apartment. He'll break in, and we'll be like, wait, are you. We. We're actually in love. Like, I don't. I shouldn't have to leave my apartment.
Buck Sexton
There you go. My favorite, though, and this is certainly true in Miami, is women are like, oh, like, I can meet a guy, like, at the gym. And then you're like, oh, so, like, what do you like when guys come up to you? Like, ew, like, gross. I'm working out.
Aaron Wexler
No, but you're not being here, but I know. I get the point you're making, but you're not being right. Life is a little different now. I have to be more careful. I can't just give my number out to random guys. It's tough to screen people. It's not like it even. Just a year ago, someone could come up to me at an event and we could have a conversation. But now I, like, people know a lot more about me than I know about them at this point, so. And I don't want to get murdered.
Buck Sexton
No, I totally get that. I mean, back in. I remember in my. Before I met my wonderful wife, in my single days in New York, I had people who. We had a great first date, and then afterwards, they, like, googled me because I kind of kept it very, like, low key, what I did at the time. And then they just, like, like, trashed me. Like, they're like, Rush Limbaugh. You fill in for Rush Limbaugh and radio, you know? So it's like, people are nuts. People are nuts.
Aaron Wexler

Ever wonder how to make hosting look effortless? Here's a secret. Getting ahead of the mess with new Reynolds Kitchens countertop prep paper. Just lightly wet the counter beforehand so the paper grips and stays in place. Then lay down the Reynolds kitchen's countertop prep paper. So drips and spills stay on the paper, not all over your kitchen counter. You can roll out dough, prep a party spread, or cook alongside family. When you're done, cleanup is as simple as lifting the paper and revealing that clean counter underneath. Effortless. You can use it for cooking and baking, prep and even crafting, especially when you need extra working space. Because when the mess is already handled, you can focus on what matters. The food, the people and the moment. It may look effortless, but now you know. It's Reynolds kitchens countertop prep paper. Take a tip from me. Wet it, set it, prep it, done. Make it easy. Make it with Reynolds kitchens countertop prep paper available now in the Reynolds wrap aisle and Walmart, Target, Amazon and Costco.

People at work supported me while I was going through treatment. By not treating me like somebody who was going through treatment. Treatment sucks. Cancer sucks. Being engaged with work really helped to oh, I just knew I was going to beat this thing.

Episode: Buck Brief – Arynne Wexler Lights Up Islam and Pit Bulls
Date: May 21, 2026
Hosts: Buck Sexton
Guest: Arynne Wexler, Stand-Up Comedian & Political Commentator
In this lively and often provocative episode, Buck Sexton welcomes comedian and political commentator Arynne Wexler. The conversation centers on the backlash she's faced for her viral pit bull–Islam joke, the overlap with broader culture war topics, the current state of American society, comedy gatekeeping, and the future of late-night television. With signature candor and humor, both delve into societal taboos, media polarization, and the difficulties — and opportunities — of being an outspoken right-leaning comic in today's entertainment world.
Timestamps: 03:59 – 08:49
Backlash and Controversy:
“Pit bulls are like Muslims. They’re not all violent, but almost all violent attacks happen with them.” (04:34 – Arynne Wexler)
Nuance Behind the Joke:
“It isn’t a metaphor for anything. But it’s too... I just condensed it for right now.” (05:10 – Arynne Wexler)
“If I give someone a BB gun, it might shoot somebody in the eye. If I give someone an AR-15, people die... that’s the difference in pit bulls and other dogs.” (07:15 – Buck Sexton)
Societal Taboos and Double Standards:
“For some reason… we’re not allowed to talk about the pit bull community. But the funny thing is, the comments were saying, ‘How dare you do that? That’s so unkind to pit bulls to compare them to Muslims.’” (08:25 – Arynne Wexler)
Timestamps: 11:09 – 18:24
Fangirling over Criminal Defendants:
"It's almost like the fangirling over the death row guys..." (16:18 – Buck Sexton)
Wexler's Perspective on the Luigi Trial:
“It's an insult to the intelligence of the American people. Let's be honest, most average Americans support [Luigi]. We’re fed up with being exploited and treated like cattle... Other countries have had revolutions for far less. We’re pretty much the most cut and submissive population in human history. It's time for everyone to grow some balls and stand.” (13:28 – Arynne Wexler)
Reflections on Health Care and Populism:
“…Pitchfork populism on right and left. The only difference between these extremes is like if you're pro-life or not.” (17:43 – Arynne Wexler)
Timestamps: 10:02 – 11:09
“There’s a kind of woman who goes into the shelter — give me the most aggressive, deranged-looking, one-eyed pit bull that was trained for fighting because I’m going to rehab it now as a 120-pound woman.” (10:15 – Buck Sexton)
Timestamps: 18:24 – 25:43
Collapse of Legacy Late Night:
“I had my very first set in New York, and I wasn’t allowed back for months because some triggered server said, ‘She denies my existence.’... Most people would have thrown out anything incendiary.” (20:36 – Arynne Wexler)
The Power (and Limits) of Social Media:
“It’s a lot harder to suppress talent now… But, you can actually win the battle.” (24:12 – Buck Sexton)
Timestamps: 25:43 – 27:43
“He would trade me for a little cracker…” (27:43 – Arynne Wexler)
Pit Bulls vs. Muslims Controversy:
“They're not all violent, but almost all violent attacks happen with them.”
— Arynne Wexler (04:39)
On Dog Ownership Analogies:
“If I give someone an AR15 and it’s misused… people die. That’s the difference in pit bulls and other dogs too.”
— Buck Sexton (07:15)
On Cultural Malaise:
“I think there’s something seriously broken and rotten in the culture in America.”
— Arynne Wexler (14:19)
About Comedy Gatekeeping:
“Most people would not be able to do this if I hadn’t been doing political commentary before… seeing it blow up online does not mean that we have the culture and that they’re not trying to keep us out of it.”
— Arynne Wexler (25:05)
On Social Media as a Tool and a Shield:
“Having a solid social media following lets me kick down doors… If I didn’t have that, most people would not be able to do that.”
— Arynne Wexler (24:38)
Arynne Wexler wraps up by sharing how to follow her work, giving credit to Buck’s wife for originally discovering her online — and noting her gratitude for the platform and support. The episode closes with light banter about her labrador Theo as a “guardian,” underscoring the show’s blend of humor and sharp cultural critique.
