Democrats are getting all in a fury over Iran and what do they want to do? They want to impeach. They want to impeach Hegseth. They want to impeach Trump. And once again we see that Trump derangement syndrome is the primary impulse of elected Democrats in office. We are in the midst of a major military operation and the Democrats say they want to remove the commander in chief because of it. In fact, you had Ro Khanna, a member of Congress, say that he thinks that Trump should be removed from with the 25th Amendment. So now we're back to that old game. It didn't take long, did it? Democrats trotting out the same old tired nonsense as they did before. This time around, Trump is crazy. And this is after they ran a dementia patient and had a dementia patient, Joe Biden, in office for years. And we all knew it, but they did not care. They decided that it was more important to have power than to have any scruples or any ethics whatsoever. Let's get into this. We have Representative Dejetta of Colorado. Never heard of her before. Donald Trump is openly threatening war crimes against the entirety of Iranian civilization. 25th amendment proceedings must begin immediately. Ed Markey writes called on, or he called on the House rather, to begin impeachment proceedings. He says Donald Trump's post is completely unstable and perilous. Then you have White House saying that these remarks are pathetic. Yeah, you see, you've got the push already. Others, let me see, Representatives Lee, these are all Democrats. Salinas, Bonnie, Watson, Coleman, all want to remove Trump over his post.
Trump.
Hakeem Jeffries has not yet said it is time to remove Trump, but he said it's time for every single Republican to put patriotic duty over party and stop the madness. Oh, boy. Look, guys, you can root for America or you can stop with this nonsense, but you can't continue on with the nonsense and expect people not to notice what's going on here. They really care about Iran, that's for sure. They certainly don't care about the Iranian people. They care about power here at home. And so that means they very much want to see failure here. Now, as I'm speaking to you, we don't yet have clarity on what's going to happen with the deadline. Some of you, when you listen to this, will know whether the deadline has passed and what Trump has done. I've already said my prediction is that there will be some agreement to talk more about opening the Strait of Hormuz and other issues will be kicked down the road. And Trump will say this is something of a win and there won't be the massive strikes that he's talking about. There'll be strikes. So it's like really a status quo situation, but the line will be moved, not enforced. That is my guess. I could be entirely wrong. It's impossible to know Trump's mind unless you are Donald Trump himself. So I don't pretend to be able to see the future on these things. I do know that this is for Democrats now the single greatest hope. They have moved on from the ICE involved shootings in Minneapolis, two of them, of lunatics obstructing ICE members from doing their jobs. But they've moved on from that to now. The Iran war is the primary point of opposition against Donald Trump. Now, this is a problem for us, I think, politically, because as long as we're talking about Iran, whether it's making the case for it to be worthwhile defending it against Trump. As long as that is going on, we are not talking about the home front and discussing matters that matter to Americans here, which I think has a whole lot more political impact than anything that can happen in this Iran war situation. And so I view this as Democrats obviously exploiting the moment, looking for an opportunity to drive a wedge between Trump and not just his base, really, more the swing voters and the, the Trump coalition voters, some of whom are very frustrated with what's going on here with Iran. Others, I think, are in a wait and see mode. What happens? Right. You know, this all makes a huge difference. For example, let me give you what I mean by this, because some people are mad at me for not declaring victory or declaring defeat with Iran here from both sides, from people on the right. Let me explain how I view this. If there was a massive debacle in Venezuela instead of the victory that we had with seizing Maduro, now, not a single American life loss, let's say we had lost dozens of Delta Force commandos. I mean, it's horrific, but just for the purpose of conversation, we lost dozens of Delta Force commandos. Our helicopters crashed and burned. Total mess. Maduro going on TV saying he's a champ and we can't do anything. And the, you know, the Norte Americanos or the Yankees or whatever he calls us are the bad guys. Does that then mean that Trump made a mistake going after him? Yeah, obviously then that, that's a big problem. That is a, a command decision made by the commander in chief that results in a massive script. Now, the opposite of that happened. It was a perfectly executed operation, no US Casualties, Maduro and his wife in custody. But I'm saying the result matters. And to me, the result in Iran also really matters. And we don't know what it is yet. So I see a lot of people rushing to declare one thing or the other true. And I think that they are just showing us what they politically want instead of what is actually the reality of the situation. Sponsor here is Birch Gold Group. You know, the dollar has gone down a lot. When the dollar's convertibility into gold ended in 1971, gold was $35 an ounce. Fast forward to today, 55 years later, support of the US dollar has lost over 85% of its purchasing power. That's largely due to inflation. Gold, on the other hand, has increased in value by over 12,000%. That's why many central banks around the world are buying gold at record levels. That's why major firms hold significant positions in gold. But it starts with education. Birch Gold Group has announced their Learn and Earn Precious Metals event. It's a great opportunity to learn more about our nation's economics, your saving ability and and how gold and precious metals play a part. This free online event rewards you for learning the basics of investing in precious metals. Sign up to get free silver on your next purchase if you qualify. And you can get even larger incentives as you go. The more you learn, the more you can earn. Act now at this special event. It runs only through April 30. The value of dollars is once attached to gold and that changed in 1971. But gold is still good, my friends. Text Buck to 989898 to join Birch Gold Learn and Earn Precious Metals event by April 30th. Text Buck to 989898 today you know, it's not just Trump that they want to impeach. They want to impeach Hegseth as well. They've wanted to take Hegseth out more than any other member, I think, of the Trump cabinet. They really, because the New York Times threw its best shot at Trump. I mean, at Hegseth rather well. Trump too, but at Hegseth. The New York Times went all in on taking Hegseth out of contention for that Secretary of Defense, now Secretary of War post, and they couldn't do it. And with a 5050 vote in the Senate and a breaking tie breaking vote by JD Vance, Pete Hegseth became the Secretary of Defense. And I'm going to tell you this, Pete is a friend of mine. I like Pete Hegseth. So I'm not, I'm not able to be completely free of any sense that I am what's, what's the word I'm looking for that I can be objective here. But I really do truly believe to the degree it's possible to separate out the fact that I like Pete, think he's a good guy. I think he's done a really good job so far. And that makes the Democrats even more upset. That's why a House Democrat has introduced articles of impeachment against Pete Hegseth Yasmine Ansari. She will introduce articles of impeachment against Hegseth next week for repeatedly violating his oath of oath of office and duty to the Constitution. She said Hegseth's reckless endangerment of US Service members and repeated war crimes are grounds for impeachment and removal from office. And Ansari cited the bombing of a girls school in southern Iran during the early stages of the conflict, saying that he was willfully targeting civilian infrastructure. That is not true. But put that aside for a second. Why does this matter? They're not going to successfully impeach Hegseth now, obviously they don't have the votes and they're not going to remove him. And Trump is not going to bend the knee over Pete Hegseth either. We know that this matters, I think, because it gives you a sense of what is coming down the line. My friends, we have had a calm between storms here from the lunatic Democrats because they've been out of power. We have been in a situation where Trump has been able to pursue some very important agenda items. Securing the border, a whole range of economic issues, Venezuela, Cuba, a lot of things. Right? A big beautiful bill gets passed. We've been able to see Trump pursue a whole range of things. And Democrats have been pretty neutered for a period of time. That's cuz they're out of power. The second they come back into power, the insanity is going to be unleashed on us all once again. I can assure you, whatever you thought was crazy about them before, it hasn't changed. They have learned nothing. They have changed nothing since 2024. Whether it's tranny policy for kids or it's how much they hate Trump and all the Trump supporters, how much they're a bunch of race communists, white, all the things they have not moderated. They have changed nothing. And they're very angry. They are very angry at Donald Trump, they are very angry at his supporters. And they are going to want payback bigly, bigly payback. And that's going to throw the country into a really difficult situation, I think. So when they're talking about impeaching Hegseth and they're talking about impeaching Trump, just remember they're going to do that if they win the House. And they think that this whole Iran situation is their key, this is their X factor to winning back control of the House in the midterms. So it's all tied together. And the Trump agenda comes to largely now you could say, oh, what about executive orders? He's already done the best executive orders he can on the most important issues and executive orders that he would try going forward, just like some of the ones already are, are going to run into judges and they're going to have to make their way to the Supreme Court. So that's not a clear pathway to the Trump agenda. The big beautiful bill got passed that's budgetary, so it doesn't fall into the filibuster trap. But what you're really going to have is a huge problem with the Democrats just jamming up the House with all kinds of oversight hearings and anti Trump stuff and impeachments. And look, Republicans would probably do the same if it was a Democrat president, as we know. So I get it. But we're not insane. The Democrats are nuts. That's a key difference. And it's all coming our way. So I understand it's only the beginning of April right now. Before you know it, we're going to be in a whole new political reality. And this is why the Iran situation is so important. They are the Democrats. If you, if they just have the House, they will go scorched earth on all Republicans, on all Trump supporters. So you can take that to the bank. That's why we got to keep power and keep the lunatics away from the levers of power. Sponsor here is Pure Talk. Episode Title: Buck Brief - Democrats Want to Impeach Trump and Hegseth Now
Date: April 9, 2026
Host: Buck Sexton
Source: iHeartPodcasts
This episode is a solo "Buck Brief" by Buck Sexton focusing on the escalating political drama in Washington: Democratic calls to impeach both President Donald Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth in response to the ongoing Iran crisis. Buck explores how these impeachment efforts are part of a larger pattern of "Trump Derangement Syndrome" among Democrats, the strategic political implications, and what it signals for the coming political battles in the run-up to the midterm elections. The episode is delivered in Buck’s characteristically direct, irreverent, and partisan tone.
For listeners seeking a high-level but detailed account of post-2024 D.C. politics as seen from a pro-Trump, conservative perspective, this episode is a classic Buck Brief: sharp, provocative, and foreboding about the months ahead.
