You're listening to the Buck Sexton show podcast. Make sure you subscribe to the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts. Secret agent man Brian Dean Wright joins us right now. He is my CIA brother from another mother and he is the host of the Right Report. And unlike me, he actually looks like he could have worked at CIA. The Although as I like to tell people, really to look like you work at the CIA, you want to be kind of the upper end of middle aged, balding and like quite paunchy with no sense of style whatsoever. But people like to think that it's like you slick, well dressed, well put together. So, you know, it all depends.
Buck Sexton
Well, let me tell you, I don't have a child like you, so I'm actually sleeping. So if there's anybody who has any excuse, it's you. Not to be all, all dolled up, but yeah, you're right, though. Actually, when I worked at the agency, you're right. The, the, the Ponche guys were the ones who were like, wait a minute, you're not James Bond. You're not Jason Bourne. You look like the guy. You know, it's so. You're right. I'm hearing you.
Unknown Host
Well, yeah, you want, you want to fit in, in the crowd and you want people to think, he's not a secret, he's not a super spy. That guy could be working at Mutual of Omaha. Like, if you're going to be trying to infiltrate the People's Republic of China, you don't want them going, look at this guy. This guy looks like he's a super soldier. It's like, no, no, you want, that's right. Want some dork. So I was great at that. Uh, all right, let's, let's dive into some of this. Letitia James, first of all, do you, do you think. I'm sure you're following the story. She's a very anti trump attorney general for the state of New York ran on prosecuting Trump, which is a total. Just, it's, it's, it's insane that somebody could do that and that, that's just considered ok. But whatever. It's New York, my home state, unfortunately, formerly. A couple of things. One is, do you think that she's going to be able to skate out of this whole thing with the mortgage fraud allegation, or is Pam Bondi just going to say, you do the crime, you do the time?
Buck Sexton
Yeah, all's fair and love and war. Isn't that the case? Look, you know, when former Governor Cuomo said that the only reason that Trump was being prosecuted was because of his last name. When a Democrat says that, you know, that the, the whole scam is up. And I think that that's what we're watching here. You know, politics is a nasty, dirty business, and this DOJ is getting it right back to her, and that's how it works. She has to know that she was going to get in the deep end of the pool on this and really engage in lawfare. So here it comes back. So, you know, whether that is how you run a republic is not the question, but the fact of the matter is that's where we're at. And, you know, she deserves everything she gets.
Unknown Host
Yeah. And you see that she's also part of this. 17 states that in just the last couple of days have come forward suing the Trump administration because Trump has pulled federal permits for wind energy projects, as I've pointed this out, that they are these big turbines or these, you know, these big. Yeah, like turbines. These, these windmills, basically. Right. They are Cuisinarts for migratory birds. I mean, they just chop up, including threatened species. They're horrible for the bird population because birds fly into them and die and huge numbers. Like, I'm not, I'm not exactly. Like, this is a real thing. Right. I mean, you know, out. You're out west.
Buck Sexton
The data, the data supports what you're saying. There was a number of studies a couple years ago showed anywhere from between 3 and 800,000, 300,000 to 800,000 birds a year on land are killed by these things. Now, we don't know the exact number because it's hard to go out and, and do an audit. Second, a lot of critters get eaten. You know, the coyotes come along and take them. But the point is, you're absolutely right. And in fact, our Interior Department actually issues permits to kill a certain number of bald eagles every year, which is just shocking to think about. Our national bird gets slaughtered by these things. And by the way, you're not allowed to know what the number is on the birds. It's called law enforcement. Sensitive law information is what it was some folks report on a couple years ago. So you're right. These things are Cuisinart fervors. They're awful. They're terrible for the environment.
Unknown Host
Yes. And beyond that, though, I think the bigger challenge here that everyone sees is somehow Democrats are of the belief that, that what one president has discretion to allow. So you can choose yes or no, another president, in this case Trump, a Republican, does not have the discretion to yes or no. And I just see there's a fundamental problem with that. Right. It's like if, if the federal government's going to give permits for this based on discretion, it also has discretion to not give permits for this.
Buck Sexton
Precisely. What's good for the goose, good for the gander. Right? You're talking about one set of rules.
Unknown Host
For Democrats, another set of rules for migratory foul play. Well done.
Buck Sexton
Yeah, you're right. Look, and I think we've all seen this over the past five or ten years. You know, it's, there's one set of rules for everybody, and then there's another special set for Democrats. And I think that we're seeing that in this particular industry, which, again, as President Trump has correctly pointed out, it's a horrific form of energy. It's a very expensive form of energy. Birds as part of that. The actual wind blades themselves sometimes are made up of balsa wood, which comes from South America, cutting down some of those native forests that don't regenerate, grow very quickly. So this is a really dirty form of energy. There's no such thing as green with wind power. It's all dirty in one way or the other. But you're right, the rules the Democrats want for everybody else versus themselves is quite something, energy included.

Now, I have to say, the Deep state and the efforts to clean it up, which you and I guess are technically some of the people in the comments going to say we're Deep State stooges. And I like to point out the Deep State wasn't even aware of my existence because I was so low on the, on the, you know, the org chart. And it's been 15 years. So I think I've learned some things since my, my Deep State days. But let's, let's dive into this here in just a second. First up, our sponsor, have you heard about America's, quote, $150 trillion secret trust fund? A Former presidential advisor Jim Rickards just released an explosive story. A 15 figure Fortune owned by the government trapped for more than a century. Starting this summer, it could be released to the public. It's big enough to pay off our national debt four times over. But something even more stunning is likely to happen next. You can check it out@birthright2025.com that's birthright2025.com paid for by Paradigm Press. All right, Mr. Brian Dean Wright, is, are things actually getting better over at the CIA and in the intel community more broadly? After all the weaponization, the politicization, the trans awareness days, yada yada, is it actually getting better from what you can tell?
Buck Sexton
So the short answer is yes. A lot of folks at the agency really do appreciate the leadership of Ratcliffe and his deputy. From the folks that I speak with that are still on the inside, they have been surprised by his professionalism. I don't know why people are surprised about that, but indeed they are. So he really is a spy. Spy. And I think that we should offer a hat tip to him and to his staff. They're doing God's work over there and I think that they are cleaning things up. But I will also tell you that I know there are still a lot of people at the agency, and especially the FBI that absolutely hate guys like Cash Patel and Deputy Dan Bongino and others. They talk smack. I mean, I know about one of the offices out west. They will talk absolute smack and trash about the director of the FBI and the deputy director. So that's happening still. It's also happening with Ratcliffe. So bottom line is they're trying to clean it up. But it's going to take a while to rip these people out of the CIA, FBI and other places. They're there for the wrong reasons. These deep state there for their own politics. And that's gonna take time to identify them and remove them.
Unknown Host
So it is working, but slowly, slowly so far, that's right. Ok, well, I mean, that's good to hear. I just feel like one of the challenges that some of these individuals who have taken on these roles at different places under Trump, as well intentioned and capable as they may be, is that these are these bureaucracies, the one thing that they excel at is, is not excelling in anything and doing exactly what they've always been doing.
Buck Sexton
Look, I think that's fair. And I think one of the things that I've just been trying to ring the bell on is this Venezuela assessment that says that the Maduro regime is not sending in their TDA gang, this Trende Arago gang. They're not sending them into the country when in fact they are. And the intel assessment that was put out over the past through a Freedom of Information act in the press over the past couple weeks, it's just, I think we're seeing more deep state shenanigans by how these assessments are put together. And that's the part that still concerns me, especially on the analytical side. This is your old, old shop. There are a lot of people there who get very, very excited about a particular country or particular belief and they don't want to change their views or assessments and they end up undermining the President, United States. And I think that's happening here with this Venezuela stuff.

That's b u c k texted to 9898 98. Mr. BDW, host of the Right Report. Let's move on to India, Pakistan. I think it's, I think it's amazing. You know, I told my audience on radio about this, I think last week, one that there was a mass casualty terror attack in Kashmir. Pakistani terrorists, you know, this is a long standing thing in this disputed area between India and Pakistan and it was the first time a lot of people had heard about it. And then I mentioned, you know, India is cutting off water from the Indus river to all the agriculture in Pakistan, which is a big deal. And there's also going to be some military. These are. Yeah, these are countries that have nuclear weapons as we all know, and they really don't like each other. And their entire real, like frontline militaries are basically aligned to just stare at each other across the border. Right. India is a huge country, but if you look at where the military deployments are, it's right there with Pakistan. But no one seems even troubled by the fact that India's hit, hit some, hit some targets inside of Pakistan, said, don't worry, it's non escalatory. I saw that. Was the quote, non escalatory. Well, okay, I guess it's non escalatory.
Buck Sexton
Should I not be worried or should I be worried? You're right. Look, all the elements for a really big and horrific conflict are there. You know, We've got about 170 nuclear warheads in Pakistan. We've got a very unstable government historically, anyway, it's a government that has a facade or veneer of democracy. It's not really true. The military and the intel agency in Pakistan lead that country. And then of course, on the other side, with Modi and the Hindu nationalism sending their troops to the border, you know, fighting this, what, 40, 50, 60 plus year fight between the Hindus and the Muslims in that Kashmir region, it's going to be, I think, a very, very dangerous thing that these two nations are now looking at. Shall we or can we escalate? I tell you, from an American perspective, one of the things that we learned back in Dec. Was that Pakistan is developing a long range ICBM missile that will hit the United States. So we should very much be interested in this conflict. They've got these 170 plus nuclear warheads that could potentially be on a missile that could hit this country. As Pakistan is pulled closer to China, India is potentially pulled closer to the United States. That's the big picture fight that I see in the next five to 10 years as these nations continue to fight each other, literally and otherwise this being drawn into the fight between China and the United States, that's my fears as this missile is developed in Pakistan, how this could boil over even to this country.
Unknown Host
Let's do a lightning round here, something really easy. Are we going to do a strike or back an Israeli strike on the Iranian nuclear facilities? You know, what do you think.
Buck Sexton
Man? I think Trump's reflex is peace and I think that that makes sense. And I think that he wants to try to fix a lot of other issues like Mexico and the southern border. He might defer to Israel, but I think that he's going to try to deflect.
Unknown Host
So you don't think that that's coming, that's imminent anytime soon.
Buck Sexton
I don't, I don't think that that's his preference. Look, he's. He's very anti war. That's been very consistent. He's also said that we need fewer nations with fewer nukes. So that's intention. And I think that you see that reflected in the MAGA base. A lot of people not sure what to think or feel on this, but his reflex is peace. But he also appreciates that we, we can't have nuclear weapons. So that's what I think he wants to get to the bottom to, you know, can diplomacy restrict this program? If so, it's not worth the war.
Unknown Host
If you and I had a presidential finding to do a subversion operation in Greenland to get the 30,000 people there to go with some kind of a plebiscite and join America, would we need to call any of our buddies, or do you think you and I could pull that off, just the two of us?
Buck Sexton
I feel like we could do it. I feel like I could wear the suit and you could blend, you know, so we could hit it at two different angles. Yeah.
Unknown Host
Do you want Greenland for America? Like, I think this wouldn't be that hard.
Buck Sexton
Look, it's a very important issue in that the nuclear missiles that would fly from Russia or China to this country would fly over a place like Greenland. And so that's why that chunk of territory becomes so very important. Second, Greenland's, I believe it was their foreign minister said that actually they need to grow closer to China. So the issue is very serious. We shouldn't be messing around with this chunk of territory. And I think that the President understands that, and that's why we should be doing something very serious with Greenland. I don't know if it's going invasion or not. I think you and I could probably cook up a few things to push their political leadership a little closer to us.
Unknown Host
I think the President told us to, and we're allowed to pull out the bag of tricks. Yeah, I don't think. I think it'd be that complicated and it'd be better for everybody. Probably the best thing ever for Greenland. Trump would be a fantastic overlord of all things Greenland if it came to it. But I, I do agree.
Buck Sexton
Goldland. It's going to be gold. Goldland.
Unknown Host
Yeah, it's. It's going to be fantastic. Because what is. I mean, Denmark, I've been to Denmark. Lovely country, nice people. But what are they going to do with it?
Buck Sexton
I mean, come on, they got nothing.
Unknown Host
They got Nothing. Nonsense. By the way, you know, I was in your neck of the woods. I was in Tucson recently, and it was beautiful. I actually was really impressed with how nice Tucson was. One funny thing that happened was I was going to go on these. There's all these trails right near the hotel where I was staying. And I asked the front desk lady and I said, which trail should I take? She got a map, and there's like hundreds of miles of trails. Like, well, all right, I'm just gonna. I looked at her, I said, which one, can you promise me, has no rattlesnakes on it? And she looked all like, oh, my gosh. She goes, sir, I can't. I can't guarantee on behalf of the hotel that there'll be no rattlesnakes on any of the trails. And I was like, okay, lady, I guess I'm just gonna have to, you know, pick my poison here. But those rattlers are running around there.
Buck Sexton
Yeah. And it's not only that, but did you know the cartels are probably near one of the resorts that you were at? The. From the Huachucas all the way up to the mountains that are called the Santa Catalina Mountains, probably right where you were at. They are sending in cartel guys to set up radar facilities to catch a lot of the border patrol signals, whether it be radios and other things, cell phones as well, to try to figure out where the border patrol guys are going at. So that neck of the woods, depending on the trail that you go on up there, you got to be really careful. You're not just going to run into rattlesnakes. You're running to cartelitos. You got to be real careful up there.
Unknown Host
Yeah, I'm glad I didn't get bitten by a snake or kidnapped. Lucky me. All right, go check out the ride report. It's a great podcast with smart fellow, also from the CIA. But we're not Deep State, ok?
