Is the media's project Gaslighting on Joe Biden's dementia going to work? Let's talk to somebody who is not easy to pull one over on as our friend Sean Davis from the Federalist. Co founder of the Federalist. Great website Sean I Tapper is going around, you know he I'm just gonna say this. I said it on radio, I'll say it here. Snuck into my DMs. Look, I don't know what you've been saying about my book but like we should have the right to come on. I'm like well I think you do know what I've been saying. Cuz you're saying that you know, you should come on the radio show to refute it. But anyway, very, very tapper passive aggressive. You have to love this. They really think they're going to get away with this. They're going to do the whole we're going to lie about the dementia thing, not just for the election for four years and now we're going to tell you, oh maybe we should have caught it.
Clay Travis
He's amazing. Like he thankfully he stopped sliding into my DMs several years ago but I love to hear he's still doing that. It used to be that he would during commercial breaks he'd get into his in Twitter and and be looking at who said mean things about him, and he'd scold him in their direct messages. But no, look, Tapper was patient zero for the nonsense, that Biden was totally fine, that he was fit as a fiddle, strong as he's ever been. So for him to now be acting like, oh, he was duped, you know, he, Poor Jake Tapper was so misled, and then now he's going to tell the real story, like, if you were so stupid, is to buy the nonsense from. From Biden's staff that, oh, no, no, he's totally fine, he's at the top of his game and you need to find a new job. You're too dumb to be a journalist, which is amazing because you don't actually have to be smart to be a journalist. But if he fell for that, he's too stupid for this industry. And if he didn't fall for it, he was complicit in it. And, I mean, he can go take a long walk off a short pier as far as I'm concerned.
Buck Sexton
What do you say to people who are, who are trying to also pull this, though? They say, oh, but Alex Thompson was really on this and he was really honest. I mean, I guess I'm kind of shading the question a bit with my voice there, but, I mean, I'm looking at this, I'm like, no, he didn't. He wasn't. If somebody. Remember when Dasha Burns pointed out that that Fetterman, like, couldn't speak and that his brain was. Was at the time, like, mushy and, and everyone was like, how dare you? And this is awful. And they even tried to say that she was picking on a disability or something, it's like, the guy can't speak. Like, anyway, if one Democrat, whether it's Alex Thompson or some other journo, had come forward and said when it mattered, hey, guys, Joe Biden really does have dementia. And I've got sources that have spoken to me. No one did this. Like, why are we going to pretend that someone. No one did it?
Clay Travis
No, they didn't do it. They were lying to us the whole time. We all know it. Like, and we didn't have to do this, like, deeply sourced reporting and, you know, deeply embedded sourcing. You just had to watch the guy, okay? He was cooked. He was cooked five years ago when he ran the first time. We all saw it. And what I find so interesting about the little game they're playing now, if they truly believe that they were duped, if poor widow Jake Tapper thought he was being duped and Lied to. You have a responsibility to burn everyone who lied to you. And that's not what he's doing, because there are no names. We're not being told who lied to him. We're not being told who was spreading around this idea that Biden was fine. We're not told who was actually president, because here, this is where the rubber meets the road. If Biden's brain was cooked and was like pure pudding, is. We all know it was, it means he wasn't actually executing the off the. The office of the presidency. It means somebody else was. So who was it? Who was telling Biden to sign all these pardons? Who was running the auto pin? Who was like, you know, launching missiles and stuff? It wasn't Biden, but they won't do that. And the reason they won't do that is they don't actually care. This is all a game, not number one. They have to get back credibility that they lost, and Biden's no longer useful to him. And there's no political risk to the left for saying that he was a vegetable. So they're trying to throw him overboard now that they no longer need him in this desperate ploy to make it look like they have their credibility back and they're telling you the truth so that they can lie to you the next time they have some stupid hoax they want to run.
Buck Sexton
Well, you know, I also have a problem with it. I have so many problems with this. I also have a problem with this, though, Sean, because the notion that Joe Biden, you know, the quote that I've been seeing for everybody is I was a plough. Please. David Plouffe is saying, Joe Biden bleeped us. And we all figure out what that is by staying in. And at this point, I say, no, no, no, no. Hold on a second. They all knew that Biden had the problems that he did. They thought that he was a better shot than Kamala as long as they could cover it up. It's not that Biden screwed them over. It's that Biden couldn't get through the debate without looking like a vegetable. They made it. You know, to me, it's like they made a calculated decision. They tried to. You know, it's like they're burglars, and they broke in to steal the diamond necklace. They got caught, and now they're like, oh, I didn't know that this belonged to somebody else. Yeah, you did.
Clay Travis
Yeah. I love this story that somehow, like, they had no ability to pick who they wanted to run for president. You Know, imagine a world where, where you have every four years a contest within each party where you have whoever wants to run for president run, and then people vote for him. We could call it a primary. You know, they. They did that, okay? Obama cleared the decks for Biden in 2020 because he thought he was the best chance to be Trump. And then they did the same crap again in 2024. So they, they box everyone out who's going to be a threat, which is why rfk, by the way, ends up going and moving over to Trump. All RFK was running for president is a Democrat. And they iced him out. They didn't even give him Secret Service protection. So this idea that somehow, like, Joe Biden screwed them. No, they screwed themselves. Okay, they played themselves. But he said one thing that I think is true that they were claiming is that they thought Biden before everyone knew that he was cooked, would be better than Kamala. By the way, they were right about that, and they were right about that after the debate, Biden wouldn't have done as poorly as is Kamala Harris did. I think they made a massive mistake.
Buck Sexton
Clay and I. Clay. So, you know, I was on the, on the side of that Biden's not going to drop because it would be insane for him to drop because Kamala is worse. And Clay took the other side of that debate, or rather of that of that bet, and ended up winning, which I just think, I think is still so unfair because my premise was the Democrats understood the electorate well enough to know that, that Kamala was electoral poison and that even dementia Joe, out of nostalgia and name recognition and the incumbency, was a better shot than she was. And they decided to pull this switcheroo at the last moment and they then had to bear the consequences of it. You know, elections do have consequences, Sean.
Clay Travis
Yeah, dude, I'm Team Buck on that one. In the piece of evidence I would use is the Teamsters poll. So they did a poll of rank and file Teamsters before Biden dropped out, and then after he dropped out and it was Kamala Harris still in who was in instead of him. She fell among Teamsters, which are mostly working class white men. She fell like 30 points. Biden still had a majority of them. Like now it was a thin majority, but he was still winning the Teamsters. As soon as she was hand in, like white men were done. They were done with Democrats and Harris and Trump was going to win regardless just because of all the macro dynamics and everything that was happening going on. If Biden had been in he would have lost, he wouldn't have lost every single swing state. So I love that Democrats engineered this coup against him just to do worse than they would have done if they just left him in. Like they deserved everything that, everything they're getting.
Buck Sexton
That's what I keep telling everybody. Do not feel sorry for them. They deserve all of this. This is justice. This is the, this is the universe, you know, balancing itself and the force moving in ways that it should. And I would just say this too. It doesn't strike me, Sean, as at all implausible they could make such a horrific miscalculation as they did. I mean, the Mar? A Lago raid was an insane idea. Insane idea in retrospect, right? They thought, we raid his home, he's a criminal, he'll, you know, he'll, he'll never be able to win an election again and we're going to lock him up. Instead of. They essentially made their, you know, it was like, Trump is the guy. Total consolidation behind him and he smoked their candidate. Israel is still under attack. There's been missile fire and there's been all kinds of threat from the terrorists in the region against the Jewish state. The reality in Israel is that parents are still having to worry about taking their children to school. They still have to worry about the next. SIREN blaring. The next attack could happen at any moment. This is why we have partnered with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews to help provide life saving aid and security essentials. Clay Travis
They did these, like, series of escalating double downs where, you know, he's just running. They thought J6 took him out, so, you know, they impeach him and they're like, okay, we didn't throw him out of office, but he's done. Like, we've discredited him and he was still hanging around. They're like, all right, maybe we just like raid his home and say he was selling classified secrets. And that didn't work. So at that point, instead of just being like, all right, you know, this pot's gotten a little rich to us for us. We're gonna Fold. No, they go and arrest the guy, and then after arresting him, they get him convicted, and then when that didn't work, they're like, well, hell, I guess we're just gonna have to shoot him. And then that didn't work. And then sort of like, well, crap. I. I don't know what we're gonna do at this point. It's. It. Every opportunity they had to stop being idiots, they just double down. So they deserved all of it. They deserve every last bit.
Buck Sexton
This. Now. Now, I wanted to ask you about this, Sean. The. The DNS. So. So David Hogg has emerged as the. Right. The vice. He's the vice chair of the dnc. Or is he the chairman of the DNS? He's the vice chair, right? No, he's the chairman. I'm sorry.
Clay Travis
No, I think he's like some kind of vice chair. I don't know. Whatever.
Buck Sexton
Yeah, he is. Okay. But Mr. Hogg. Oh, yeah, he's. Sorry. He's the vice chair, and there's a second vice chair. This is why I'm getting confused. Okay. He's vice chair of the DNC. This guy's 25 years old. He is not a smart person. And the.
Clay Travis
He went to Harvard, Buck. He went to Harvard.
Buck Sexton
I know. We all know what that means. He's not a smart person. But he. He came out and said something along the lines of. And I can. Something like, you know, the Democrats became the party man of, like, you can't just, like, you know, hang out with girls and drink and, like, have fun and. Well, you know, it's not exactly Aristotle like. Yeah, I mean, that's actually true. They're. They're in the process of ousting him now. And I know they're saying it's because he lacks, like a diversity quotient or something. There's some issue with that. But they're. I think it's part of. He just said something you're not allowed to say. The dnc. Have you seen this? They're taking a. They've already taken a vote to begin the procedure to have a revote on who the DNC vice chair is. And he's supposed to be, like their normal guy that they can. Normal young guy they can rally around. These people are insane.
Clay Travis
Well, I love that he was their normal guy. That was like them thinking Tim Walls was going to be the man's man running for vice president. Yeah. When David Hogg is your, like, normal dude, that signals a level of disconnect. I don't know. It's really hard to comprehend. But after all the nonsense about J6 and protecting our sacred democracy and election deniers, they just go and decide, yeah, we don't, we don't like this guy, so we're just going to invalidate the election. I love it. I love it.
Buck Sexton
I love this guy. So, a couple of things. One is that they're upset at him because he said he was going to primary people, and so they forced him to sign a neutrality. This is. The DNC has forced him to sign a neutrality pledge. So he's not allowed to have any interest in, or, you know, any specifics in a primary. But then this is the part I'm talking about and this is the real, you know, commissar from the Kremlin stuff here of the Democrats. The ruling by the credentials committee On Monday, the DNC was not technically related to Mr. Hogg's plans to engage in primaries. So that's not actually why he's being ousted. Instead, it was the result of a complaint from Callan Freeh, one of the losing candidates in the vice chair race, who said the party had combined two separate questions into a single vote, putting at a disadvantage the female candidates because of the party's gender parity rules. I don't even know what that really means, how to figure it out. But like, so they had a vote, but the vote didn't take the gender parity rules into account. And so therefore it's null and void. It's like, this is what you get, dude, for being a Democrat. It's not just you can't drink beer and hang out with pretty girls.
Clay Travis
Yeah. I mean, this is what he gets for not transitioning and becoming David at Hogg. I guess. I mean, that, that's the way you get around this because that's like in the rock, paper, scissors of left wing identity politics. I think becoming a trans person. I think that, that Trump's being a woman. I don't know. I don't have my, my little decoder ring here with me. But yeah, I mean, that's, that's just a tactical misstep on old David's part. You know, live and learn. But, but in, in all seriousness, this guy, you know, five years ago or whatever, he was kind of like the bleeding, you know, left edge of the Democrat Party. You, you know, this, this little dork who, who came up with a name for gun control and they thought, oh, you know, we'll get the youths with this guy because he's super left wing and he's young. And now because he's white and a dude. He's not enough that it just shows what a mess the Democrat Party is. I love it, and I think it's hilarious.
Buck Sexton
Something else I think you're going to love. I'm sure you saw this, but in case you didn't, and for everyone who's listening, Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan has officially been indicted by a grand jury for aiding and abetting a illegal alien who was evading ice. So I guess the judge had to get a reminder about the law, which is that she doesn't get to just make up the law because she watches too much msnbc.
Clay Travis
Yeah, the find out stage is a lot more entertaining than I. Than I thought it would be. But. But I have a question for you because I'm having trouble settling on the nickname for her. Some days I feel like she's Large Marge, and then some days I feel like she's Ma Fratelli from the Goonies.
Buck Sexton
Yeah. I mean, she is. To those who haven't seen, she is not. She's not a beauty queen.
Clay Travis
She has a great personality.
Buck Sexton
She has a great personality. And you know, the notion that a judge would make such a clear violation of law decision in the role of it, like. Like while she. It's like she's a judge and she brought an illegal gun into the building herself. Like, you're not allowed to do this. Right. You can't help somebody evade federal authorities in your courthouse because you feel like it.
Clay Travis
Yeah. Well, I love the arrogance of it because I think it's so illustrative of where the left is now, especially with their whole judicial insurrection and their judicial resistance. These individual judges who are elected by no one have a very, very narrow jurisdiction. They think they're kings. They think they're the president. They think they're the judge. They think they're the jury. And honestly, I wish this could happen to every one of these judges that are clearly violating the law and stealing power that's not theirs. I wish they could all go through this, but I think this is a really clarifying moment for a lot of these judges that thought maybe they would get to build up some celebrity for themselves, maybe get to a federal judgeship, maybe get a book deal. Oh, large Marge, there she is. A cautionary tale for every last one of them.

You know, a few nonprofits, our sponsor here is Preborn. There aren't many nonprofits that can say they've saved 350,000 babies over the existence of that nonprofit, but Preborn is one of them. The Preborn team have clinics nationwide who welcome pregnant moms to their facilities. And they welcome them with love, with open arms and support, because they want them to see that the future for them should have a baby in it and not the other choice, which we know is abortion. They do this by an ultrasound. They introduce mom to her baby via ultrasound. And they only are able to do this because of donations from the pro life community. That means you $28 is the cost of an ultrasound. You can donate that. That's fantastic. You might save a baby's life if you can donate $280. That would be 10 ultrasounds which could result in 10 births of tiny babies in this world. It is a beautiful thing to donate securely dial 250 and say the keyword BABY. That's 250- say BABY or visit preborn.com buck that's preborn.com b u c k sponsored by Preborn.

Summary of "Buck Brief - Will The Media Pull off The Biggest Biden Gaslighting of All Time?"
The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show
Episode: Buck Brief - Will The Media Pull off The Biggest Biden Gaslighting of All Time?
Release Date: May 15, 2025
In this episode, hosts Clay Travis and Buck Sexton delve into the contentious allegations surrounding President Joe Biden's cognitive health, arguing that mainstream media outlets are engaged in a systematic effort to downplay or obscure evidence of Biden's dementia. The discussion is interspersed with interactions with Sean Davis from The Federalist, who provides additional perspectives on the media's role and Democratic Party strategies.
Buck Sexton initiates the conversation by questioning whether the media is orchestrating a significant gaslighting campaign against President Biden regarding his alleged dementia. He expresses skepticism about the media's intentions and capabilities in misleading the public:
"Sean, we really think they're going to lie about the dementia thing, not just for the election for four years and now we're going to tell you, 'Oh maybe we should have caught it.'"
(Timestamp: 02:08)
Clay Travis criticizes prominent journalists, particularly Jake Tapper, accusing them of being complicit in misrepresenting Biden's mental state:
"Poor Jake Tapper was so misled, and then now he's going to tell the real story, like, if you were so stupid, it's to buy the nonsense from Biden's staff."
(Timestamp: 03:10)
The hosts argue that initial assurances about Biden's fitness were false and suggest that his administration is not truly executing presidential duties, insinuating that others may be controlling the presidency behind the scenes.
Buck Sexton and Clay Travis explore the Democratic Party's internal maneuvers, highlighting perceived strategic blunders that have weakened their position. They discuss the controversial handling of Joe Biden's campaign, suggesting that the party chose Kamala Harris over Biden despite potential electoral advantages:
"They thought that Kamala was electoral poison... It's like they've made a calculated decision."
(Timestamp: 06:25)
Clay Travis adds that this decision has led to electoral losses, using Teamsters polls as evidence of declining support when Harris was favored over Biden.
The conversation shifts to David Hogg's role within the Democratic National Committee (DNC), where Buck Sexton criticizes Hogg's competence and leadership:
"This guy's 25 years old. He is not a smart person."
(Timestamp: 12:06)
Clay Travis mocks the DNC's decision-making, suggesting that Hogg represents the party’s disconnect with its base:
"Five years ago, he was kind of like the bleeding edge of the Democrat Party... now because he's white and a dude, they're sidelining him."
(Timestamp: 14:33)
The hosts argue that internal conflicts and mismanagement within the DNC are undermining the party's effectiveness and unity.
Buck Sexton brings up the recent indictment of Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan for aiding an illegal alien evading ICE. Clay Travis uses this case to illustrate perceived judicial overreach and corruption within the left-leaning legal system:
"The notion that a judge would make such a clear violation of law... she helped somebody evade federal authorities."
(Timestamp: 16:20)
The hosts express frustration with what they see as judges overstepping their authority, reflecting broader criticisms of the judiciary in political discourse.
Throughout the episode, Buck Sexton and Clay Travis maintain a critical stance towards mainstream media, Democratic Party strategies, and judicial actions they perceive as biased or ineffective. They argue that these elements are contributing to political instability and undermining public trust in established institutions.
Notable Quotes:
Buck Sexton on Media Gaslighting:
"Is the media's project Gaslighting on Joe Biden's dementia going to work?"

(08:14)
Clay Travis on DNC Decisions:
"This idea that somehow, they thought Biden was better than Kamala... they made a massive mistake."
(07:34)
Buck Sexton on Judicial Overreach:
"You can't help somebody evade federal authorities in your courthouse because you feel like it."
(16:48)
The hosts express a deep mistrust of mainstream media and Democratic Party leadership, attributing political failures to deliberate misinformation and strategic missteps. They suggest that these actions are part of a broader pattern of manipulation aimed at preserving certain political interests at the expense of transparency and accountability. The episode calls for vigilance and critical assessment of media narratives and political strategies to uncover the underlying truths of current events.
