Welcome everybody to the Monday edition of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton show. It kicks off right now. Thank you so much for being here. As you know, Clay on vacation. He's having a great time. Checked in with him this morning. He'll be back with us on Friday. So it's just me for the next few days. Buck, I will refrain from speaking again in the third person. Thank you for being here as always. And we've got a lot of news stories. Honestly, today is one of these days. We are stacked. I've also got some great guests lined up. I'll tell you more about that in a bit, though. They're in the second and third hours. You have Ukraine says that it hits dozens of Russian bombers in a really sophisticated drone attack. I'll take you through some of that. People are calling this Ukraine's Hezbollah pager moment. Not sure it's. Well, actually this pretty I was going to say it's not quite as sophisticated, but it's pretty close. It was a spectacular attack in the sense of caught the Russians very much by surprise. A lot of damage done and military targeting. We shall discuss that. We've got the champion, this, this young young man. And this is going to be tough, but we have to just speak about this. But actually it's not tough. I was going to say we'll just speak about this the way that we should because it's what is factual. A young man has won the California track state championship for women. And there was a clip. I'm going to walk you through this. A clip on CNN or a segment on CNN where a attorney and the president of the California Justice Center, Julie Hamill, goes through piece by piece with a CNN anchor who is effectively delusional. I mean, calling this person her and she. And what about her feelings and all this stuff for the biological male who just beat all the girls in California in track. And this is a violation of federal law. This is a violation of common sense. And when you hear this exchange, I think you will find it is remarkably illuminating about how the left is not backing down on this stuff. And the left is insane. They have not moved away from this issue. So we shall dive into that. But you know, first up, I just finished watching a few moments ago they were talking about a major ICE operation underway. Major ICE operation underway, or rather that it's still underway. But they've had initial results in 1500 High value target criminal aliens who are in the country. Now. Remember, these aren't just people who are here illegally. These are people who are here illegally and do bad things and break the law and prey on their. On Americans and their fellow human beings. So these are the top priorities that exist out there for enforcement when it comes to immigration and deportation operations. They called it Operation Patriot. They had, I think, somebody from the ICE office in Boston talking about this, but this is absolutely essential. One of the things that I love about this administration is they aren't just stopping the crazy stuff that the other side, or rather refraining from doing the same crazy stuff that the Democrats were doing. Yes, that's an improvement. But they're also saying, hold on a second, that's illegal. We're not going to allow you. We're going to stop you from doing the crazy things, whether it's the transgender, you know, men and women sports stuff, or now this sanctuary city complete, you know, forgetting about the rule of law stuff on immigration and the reasons for this. Or rather, we got a reminder of how important this is with this attack in Colorado that happened. Let me give you what the situation, what the situation is. A, A guy went to. This was in Boulder, Colorado, on Sunday. A guy yells free Palestine. And threw incendiary devices into this crowd in Boulder, Colorado. There was a demonstration to remember the Israeli hostages who remain in Gaza. So think about this for a moment. There's a group of people who have gotten together to just stand in solidarity with and remind the public about the fact that there are still hostages who are being held by Hamas, which I would also remind everybody, violation of Geneva Convention. It's a war crime itself. It's a decision that they have made. These are terrorists. These are terrorists. They have hostages that are dying and that they've killed in their cap. In their custody, and they have more and they refuse to give them back because they are terrorists and they are the enemies of civilization. And do not forget that Hamas is an enemy of civilization anywhere in the world and should be treated as such. I do not view Hamas as distinct or different from a group like Al Qaeda. I think that they share the baseline ideology that makes them as vicious as they are and why it is as necessary as it is to, to meet them on the battlefield and to destroy them. That's how I view Hamas. I don't. I don't want to sit around and talk about, oh, maybe there's some future where Hamas is not going to be so crazy. Anyway, so there's this demonstration taking place in Boulder, Colorado for Israeli hostages, and this lunatic runs up to them and you had eight people who were transported to the hospital. He threw incendiary devices. I assume something Like a, Like a Molotov cocktail. It was some sort of incendiary device like that. And people were burned and they had to be taken directly to the hospital as a result. Yeah, burns on their legs, badly burned on most of her. One of them appeared to be badly burned on most of her body. Wrapped in a flag by a bystander. I mean, horrific. Lighting people on fire. That's what this maniac did. He lit people on fire at a. Let's remember the hostages. Think about the psychological damage that these hostages and their families are still going through. Any day, some savage from Hamas could execute them. If it's a woman in custody, we know what they've been doing to women in custody. I mean, these people are barbarians. Barbarians. And there is a gathering of those who want to remind all of us of what's going on here. You know, the, the, the pro Hamas, pro Gaza, Free Palestine maniacs that are out there, they hate talk of the hostages because what they really want is this pretense of they have the moral high ground. There's a genocide in Gaza. Maybe the, maybe the quote, unquote, genocide. It is not a genocide, but maybe the. What they call genocide would stop if Hamas would just give back the hostages that it has in its. And it could do so tomorrow. It could have done so at any point since it started this war. And Hamas did start this war, as we know, with October 7th. So that brings me to this individual who it turns out was here on a tourist visa. Fox News was the first that I saw reported this. He was authorized to stay till February 2023. Stayed in the country illegally, applied for asylum, received a work permit which was valid through March of 2025. Stayed in the country illegally. That's something that we have to remind ourselves of here. So we just suffered a terrorist attack from an illegal. That's what happened. That's not the way that the. Here you go. Here you go. Here's how Reuters. Here's how Reuters covers this. I just told you what really happened. An illegal who yelled free Palestine and lit people on fire engaged in a anti Semitic terrorist attack on US Soil. And he was only here because he had evaded our immigration laws. You know, Trump has been talking about this all along. Yet another moment where you say, oh, wow, Trump is right that we have risks. We have risks to our security that come from these individuals, that come from these individuals who enter illegally or stay illegally after legal entry, which is the case here, and that this is unacceptable. And one of the reasons they're such a Risk. It's not just that they break the law. We don't know who they are. They are effectively off radar. Once they stay beyond their allowed time or once they enter illegally, we don't know what they're up to. We don't know what they're doing. And now you have people who had to be rushed to the hospital after being lit on fire at a peaceful vigil for hostages because some illegal alien maniac was in the country. Suspect named as Mohammed Saliman. Yeah, that's the suspect's name. So eight people injured in this in illegal engaged in a terrorist attack. A reminder of why it is so important and so urgent to get criminal illegals out of this country as quickly as possible. Because we've allowed a lot of maniacs like this one to come into the country. And you could say, oh, what they always do is they try to get you to focus on the people that are. That just want a better life for themselves. Well, the problem is we can't just allow people who want a better life for themselves to come into the country at will, because then this country would cease to exist. We can't handle it. It wouldn't be America anymore. It would be something else. And Democrats want to turn it into that as quickly as they can. And there's a whole bunch of reasons why we can get into the psychology behind that. But in the meantime, we are here saying, and the Trump administration is saying, enough, enough. Eight people lit on fire at a protest by this maniac. It's appalling. And it shows you how critical it is that Trump's work and the administration's work continues on this. And then you have the true imbeciles over places like cnn where I used to be a terrorism analyst. And I was always right. You know what my record was for saying, this is jihadist terrorism. And it turned out to be jihadist terrorism, 100%. In fact, they had people that they brought on TV. This is a true story. They brought me on TV once at CNN to analyze terror attack because I had worked at a little place called the CIA Counterterrorism center. And they actually brought on some other expert to disagree with me. I don't remember some academic or something. And it came out while we were on the air. This is true. Came out while we were on the air. That. Yeah, no, actually there was like a jihad manifesto, the whole thing, but they don't care. The point is they want to feel good about themselves for thinking this isn't a Muslim jihadist thing. This is some Other thing, I don't want to jump to conclusions. We may never know the motive. We may never know the motive. Here's former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe and Harvard professor Juliette Kayyem. She's a true. She was the one I was talking about last week. I'll just tell you that. She's a true imbecile. Teachers at Harvard, except imbecile. Here they are. This is them on the CNN panel after this attack Play seven. It's hard to imagine that the FBI has more or better information at this point to kind of rush out with the conclusion within like, 10 minutes after we all started hearing about this, that it's a targeted act of terror. It may very well be, but most of the time, you try to be very careful about attaching that label to an attack until you have solid evidence that indicates a motive that would qualify as terrorism, like an act intended to intimidate a population or to change the direction of government. It's not good for the community. It's not good for the potentially targeted community. It makes law enforcement look disorganized, and it makes the FBI look so juvenile. Like, why are you getting ahead of the police chief? A Muslim guy who's an illegal alien through a Molotov cocktail at a bunch of Jews at a free the hostages protest. And he yelled, free Palestine. I, I think we know what's going on here, right? I. I think we all understand why this guy did what he did. And yet they go on CNN and they say this because part of the mandate of the left, part of the mandate of the Democrat Party these days is to continue, to continue trying to help these Democrats live in an alternate universe because they're so wrong on so many things. And it's becoming more and more apparent with every day. And the Trump administration is exposing the truth and taking action in ways that it becomes unavoidable for them to have to start to look at this. So this is like their fantasy escapism of, well, we may never really know. Gee, kind of like how I knew and Clay knew that Biden had dementia. Kind of like how we knew that the trans manifesto was going to talk about how the trans terrorist in Nashville was a maniac who hated Christians and conservatives and it was terrorism. And they're like, we don't know. We have to wait for the. Of course we know. Of course we know. But it is better in the Democrat mind to be told something so stupid, such as, we can't know, you know, the real motive, or we don't know the free Palestine guy who was throwing the incendiary devices at the Jews yelling free Palestine. We don't know what's going on there. They would rather be told that than you are on the side of evil and you've been wrong on everything. That's really what's going on here. They'd rather be talked to like complete idiots than have to face the reality of you're on the wrong side, you're on the Hamas side, you're on the jihad side, you're on the enemies of civilization Team Libs, wise up. They don't want to hear that. Now's a good time to talk to you about the international fellowship of Christians and Jews. Talk about the allies of civilization, those who are fighting for civilization. Our brothers and sisters in Israel, as we know there was this horrifying attack in Boulder, Colorado shows just how clear the anti Semitism is and how it can be lethal even in this country. And one of the eight people injured was an 88 year old Holocaust survivor. If you're helpless, or rather you feel helpless about what's happening around this country, you're not helpless. And this is what IFCJ can do. They're here to show our support for our brothers and sisters in Israel. That is the goal. That is the mission of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. The IFCJ builds bomb shelters, fortifies ambulances and emergency vehicles, donates flak jackets and other essential items. They are on the front lines and they're also feeding elderly Holocaust survivors who have no one else to care for them. When you give a gift of $45 to IFCJ, you're putting faith into action right where it's needed most. Stand up to antisemitism and show your support@ifcj.org you can also call 888-488-IFCJ. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. It became known as the Iran Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions. In just a second I'm going to ask. I'm Leon Nayfak, co creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast Iran Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane I can't begin to tell you. Please do. To hear the whole story. Listen to fiasco Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Like I said, it should be pretty clear to anybody who is paying attention who the good guys are and who the bad guys are in the whole Gaza Israel situation. And I know that he isn't with us on everything, but on this issue, Bill Maher better than a lot of Democrats. He said it pretty well over the weekend. This is Cut nine Play it. I'm not saying Trump is a guy reading historians every night, but to the average person he seems to get the idea Western civilization good that a lot of these kids don't. I mean, there was two people shot outside the Israeli embassy in Washington D.C. last week and the guy who did it, Elias Rodriguez, doesn't sound like he has ties to the region directly, said I did it for Palestine. Now, if you have kids screaming on campus. Globalize the intifada. Bring the intifada home. This is what you get. This is what they mean it is, and this is what happens. And it just happened again over the weekend. Well, this guy wasn't a college kid, but the same mentality the intifada involved. If you look at the second intifada in the early 2000s, it was the constant infiltration of suicide bombers into restaurants, pizzerias, bar mitzvahs, anywhere. They could kill as many people as, you know, the elderly, babies. That was the intifada. Okay, yeah, the word means uprising. But what did it actually entail? The worst kinds of brutality and horrific violence imaginable. Intentionally killing civilians and the helpless. So it's not hard to know who the good guys and the bad guys are here. So speaking of crazy CNN and how things are going over there, we played former deputy director of the FBI saying, look, let's not get ahead of things. And then the other national security analysts are she's the dumbest national security analyst on television. I don't say it to be mean. I just don't want anyone to be confused. Consistently says the most absurd things. But she's a Harvard professor. So we're supposed to be impressed. Yeah. You know, like the professor at Harvard who recently got fired for just the honesty. Professor fired for dishonesty and fabricating her results on honesty in official publications. Yeah, Harvard. That place. So we Know that their ability to tell what a terrorist attack is not very high. When you're confused about a terrorist attack that involves a guy yelling free Palestine, attacking a bunch of Jews at a peaceful vigil. I think we know what's going on. I really do. I don't think we're, I don't think we're getting ahead of things. I don't think we're being quote, looking juvenile, which is what was said on that. But there's another area where I think the insanity of Democrats is very much, very much worth diving into. I want to do. Mike, let's do this in like a stop start fashion, ok? Because I want you to hear a lot of. We have Julie Hamill joining us later. She's a lawyer and she was the one on this exchange. So we can talk here about this. Might not go through the whole clip, but we'll go through a couple of minutes of this here. This is so we'll go stop start so you can hear the argument. This is about this, this, this guy who is now trans. And you look at him, though, he's got a man's body, just got like some eyeshadow on and long hair. Who just won the track and field championships in California, biggest state in the country by population. So the reigning track and field champion for high school is a dude. For women's track and field champions, dude, biological male. This is a violation, of course, of the Trump administration executive order and policy on this. This should be considered a violation of federal law. And yet this is still happening. And I want you to hear, I, I'm of a couple of minds about how this went with CNN's Brianna Keiller, but I want you to hear this exchange. So let's start it and then I'll say stop when we need to jump in place six. What would make this fair for. For her to compete for those who are competing against her? What, what would that kind of structure in competition look like? Who is her? A.B. okay, A.B. hernandez is a male who identifies as a female. What would be fair is to have Hernandez competing in the male category. It is not fair. Fair to the females competing to have to compete with a male. Okay, so in Trump's federal funding threat, is that something, though, that would hurt all student athletes, including athletes who are assigned female at birth. Stop. Would his. Stop, stop, stop, stop. Hold it right there. Notice she, her. All the, all this. It's a guy. It's not a she. It's not a her. And this anchor says assigned female at birth as if, as if these girls, these young women who are competing, you know, could have gone either way, the doctor could have looked down there and been like, you know what, I don't know, maybe it's a dude. If your doctor can't tell the difference, it's not a very good doctor, is it? Of course, that is complete propaganda language for that to be said. CNN should be ashamed that this was aired. But that's just the start. Let's keep going. Play federal funding threat hurt athletes if the money is taken away. Right. So the law actually says that schools that do not abide Title IX or other federal laws cannot restrict, receive federal funds. So that's not Trump's fault. The problem is that the state with AB12. But you understand, Julie, there's a, you understand there's, there's two view, two views here on Title 9. So just to be clear, not everyone agrees with you on how you're viewing it. So in that regard, if you were to take away the funding on as, as it pertains to trans athletes, not everyone agrees with you. I think we just have to be clear about that. If you are taking away the funds for athletes, student athletes in California, isn't that going to hurt all of them? Taking away federal funds is going to hurt all California kids, which is why the state of California needs to comply with federal law. It's very simple. So when you dig, stop right there. Stop right there. Notice the way this being framed by the anchor. California is violating the federal civil rights law, Title 9 passed back in the 70s that prohibits sex based discrimination educational programs. The same law that has been used to mean that you have to spend equal funding on men and women or else, which has destroyed a lot of men's athletics programs. That's why there's no wrestling, no crew teams, a lot of these places. But put that aside for a second. That same federal civil rights law that we've heard about for decades and has been used as a tool by the left for all kinds of social engineering. That is still the law and you are in violation of that law if you are subjecting women to men in women specific areas of life. Right. This couldn't be any more straightforward. But notice the CN anchor takes the approach of, well, because you are choosing to enforce the law, which means no federal funding, which has always been the way that they have ensured Title IX compliance. Always. For decades. Okay, for 50 years. Because now it's going to affect something that is a left wing ideological position. It's. But what about all the people that are going to be affected by that pull in funding who aren't involved in this. Well, guess what? That's quite a difference, isn't it? What's the change here? Well, they like one thing, they don't like the other. Fair to a Democrat means things I like versus things I don't like. There's no fair to them and there's certainly no law to them. The law is the same thing. The law to a Democrat is do I like this or not? If I like it, it's legal. If I don't, it's illegal, full stop. That's how Justice Sotomayor makes her decisions. That's how the entire left wing legal apparatus functions. But let's continue on with this fascinating exchange on cnn. Play it science on trans athletes. What is really clear is that there needs to be a lot more research on a lot more trans athletes to be able to draw better conclusions about the effect of whether gender affirming care actually reduces or eliminates the advantage conferred on an athlete who is genetically male. Would you welcome more research? Is this a situation where more research might help? I absolutely think that more research and more careful and thoughtful discussion is necessary here. Pediatrics Sex change procedures are very harmful and they cause lifelong damage to children. And this is something that the United States of America needs to examine thoughtfully and people need to be able to discuss openly without being called bigots and transphobes. Okay, let's just jump in here. I like the way that that was handled there by Julie Hamill. You can tell that the anchor and it sounds like she's making a hostage video. Like I think that somebody must have been telling her in her ear because I remember this at cnn, because I remember I worked there and I could hear sometimes if you're on set, sometimes you can hear what's being said into the earpiece, not the words, but you can hear that someone's talking to them. I think that maybe she was being fed some of this because what she says, what the anchor was saying is so dumb and so counterintuitive that it's hard to believe that she would actually come up with this stuff on her own. It makes you think that there had to be somebody feeding her this stuff. Like, we need more study. I mean, this is a 17 or an 18 year old dude. This is a junior in high school, right? Juniors in high school tend to be 17 or 18, right? So let's just say I'm trying to find. Do we know the age of, of Mr. Hernandez, by the way, the New York times writes the two girls, Ms. Hernandez and Brooke White of River City High School were up on the podium together. It's not a girl. It's not. This is the New York Times. How old is she? He. Sorry. 16. OK, 16. This is somebody who's had the benefit of male hormones and male physical transformation through puberty almost. You know, a lot of people by 16, 17, they're, you know, they're, they're, they've gone through most of the physical changes that they, that you will in terms of the difference in men and women in puberty. Right. A lot of people. You can get some of the specifics here. It is also my understanding, just to give an example of this, that I think you're 17, you can join, you can join the military. I think you're 17, you can like join the Marine Corps. I could be wrong, but I think you're able to. So let me know if guys. If I'm, if I'm off on that one. But I think you are. And there might be something, you know, your parents might have to, like, give permission or, I don't know, maybe not. Don't, please don't get mad at me, but I think I've heard of people who are 17 who joined the military. My point being that, you know, physically, at 17, as a male, you are very male capable. All right? You are very male capable. You've gone through most of the puberty process, if not all of it. And so the musculature, the bone density, all of that stuff will have already been in place. Is it any surprise that this trans individual is the champion? Notice the trans individual isn't like, you know, number 10 or whatever. Somehow there's not that many of these trans people, you know, that are trying to compete in high school athletics. Somehow the trans male or trans female, whatever is the best at this. And we're supposed to think that's coincidence? You have the CNN anchor telling you, oh, this needs more study. We need more study. All of you who have kids and especially, well, just kids in general. But if you've had boys and girls, you know, that's the most absurd, that's the most absurd thing you've ever heard, right? Needs more study. No, we know this. We've known this for all of human history. Men are men and women are women. And there are distinct differences between the two. And that the. In the overwhelming majority of cases, men are going to have substantially more muscle and physical capacity to similarly situated females. Right. Of similar age and, you know, time spent in an activity, track you know, weightlifting, whatever it may be, we all know how are we having this debate. And I also think it's, it's really wrong that they do this thing where they say, well, the girls competing in California against, or some of them, they haven't complained about it. Well, gee, I don't know. They, maybe they don't want to be rejected from every college they apply to. Maybe they don't want to be attacked, doxxed and maybe even threatened horrifically on the Internet. Because the people that push this stuff are maniacs and they do that. The people that are really believers in this think that they are kind of like the Free Palestine crowd, think that they are completely morally on the, on the right side to push this agenda, even if they have to do horrible things in order to do it. I mean, I would argue that it's a horrible thing or, you know, it's a really nasty thing. It's not a terrorist attack, but it's a nasty thing to take away the trophies and the, to undermine what these girls have done. These girls are 16, 17 years old. Some of them have probably been, you know, competing track and field certainly since they were in, you know, middle of grammar school. And this could be a really special moment for them. And they have some guy who says it's a woman who's now beating all of them. It's preposterous. It is completely preposterous and we all know it. And Gavin Newsom is a coward. And I told you this too. People say, oh, he said it's not fair. That's not what he said in that interview, Gavin Newsom. He said, when he said it's not fair, he meant to any party involved. It's not fair to the trans person. It's not fair. You know, it's like a generally not fair. He didn't say he was going to turn this around. Then he has it. And so now they're trying to win this argument because the enforcement mechanism for this civil rights law, which is Title 9, the enforcement mechanism is pulling federal funding which has ensured compliance for decades. California and some other states are out of compliance. Federal funding should be pulled. And what you cannot allow is the Democrats to pretend that it is the fault of Trump and the Republicans that this funding is being pulled. No, Gavin Newsom is violating civil rights law as a fact of day to day life in the state of California. Democrats aren't backing off this, which tells you, I mean, this is after the election they just had. And the realities of what we're seeing it's they're crazy. I mean, there's really something wrong with them all right? A data breach exposed nearly 200 million records, including login credentials for Google, Apple, Meta, and more. I just played for you that piece by piece we'll talk to Julie Hamill about her extended conversation with that CNN host where she's like her, you know, calling her her and assigned at birth and, and just give us a sense of what's going on in the state of California. I mean, what really is the policy and why is it that California seems to think that they don't have to abide by federal civil rights law? You know, why do they think they get to just make it up as they go along? I mean, how could you even enforce this right if men and women have to be treated in a way that is equal in the law, but the law can't actually determine who a man and a woman is. How can that law be enforced? Because how can you know if a woman is being discriminated against for being a woman if you don't know what a woman is? And I know that that sounds like we're running in circles, but that is what is going on here. I mean, that is truly the situation laid bare. So it's nuts. By the way, here's the mom of this, of the, of A.B. hernandez doing what I would, you know, expect in this situation, which is to try to. I mean, she supports all this, of course, and she's doing the emotional blackmail thing of if you don't let my son compete against women, he may hurt himself. Play five. I'm not losing my child because of my stubbornness. And for me, being close minded like I rather embrace our times together, even if it's been this difficult than going to a cemetery and crying because I couldn't accept something, you know, emotional blackmail, that's what that is. You have to go along with a delusion or else you are wishing harm upon my child. What are the outer limits to that, I wonder, by the way, you know, take my son, take my son at Harvard admissions or else he may hurt himself. I mean, you start to go down this path and you say, what the heck is going on? We'll talk to Julie Hamill about this in a few Made in America means something to us.
