Edition Clay Travis Buck Sexton show we are off and run many different stories to be tracking reports that Trump was prepared, as we talked about yesterday, to strike Iran and then, at the last possible moment, called off an attack after Iran promised that they would not execute any of the protesters and that that request came at the behest of Saudi Arabia, other Middle Eastern countries. We will continue to follow that Greenland drama. We will discuss. Kamala Harris has got a new $8 million home, probably from which she will be planning her big presidential campaign. That will get me another fantastic steak dinner at the Expensive Bucks. But we begin with an actual serious and dark story that continues to unspool itself from Minneapolis, where another ICE shooting happened last night because another ICE agent was attacked. Multiple different individuals reportedly attacking an ICE agent. He felt compelled to fire as they resisted arrest. He hit someone in the leg. Protests swept through Minneapolis yet anew. And there were ICE vehicles that were torn asunder, different documents that were stolen, reports that a weapon was stolen from inside of a ICE vehicle. It has become downright nasty in Minneapolis on a level, frankly, that does not exist anywhere else in the country. Um, and we have Attorney General Pam Bondi who weighed in on what is going on there, and this is what she said, I believe it was.
Caller/Mindy from Superior, Arizona
In Minnesota, we had six prosecutors who suddenly decided they didn't want to support the men and women in ice. One of them was busy doing a photo shoot with the New York Times while ICE was out there risking their lives. So they came, they said, we want to resign, but we want to use our annual leave up until April, meaning they wanted the taxpayers to pay for them to go on vacation because they decided they didn't want to support law enforcement.
Public Investing Ad
So.
Caller/Mindy from Superior, Arizona
So the breaking news tonight, I fired them all. They're fired from the office. And our U.S. attorney there, Rosen, he's great. He was just confirmed three months ago, so he has his hands full. And that's what we're facing around the country, the deep state in many of these offices.
Clay Travis
Okay, Tim Walls is telling everybody, the governor of Minnesota, pull out your phones. Record everything that's going on. Buck. This feels like an eerie echo of what happened in 2020. You and I have talked about this a great deal, that in the wake of the BLM protest, what happened was people said, oh, police officers are the problem. They're the reason there's violence in this country. Police officers were attacked, sometimes physically, often verbally, certainly in the larger court of public opinion by Democrats who did not want prisoners to be put kept in prison cells and did not want violent criminals to be arrested. Now, six Years later, roughly. It feels to me quite clear that ICE is being targeted in Minneapolis in the same way. And I think President Trump, who said I may have to put the Insurrection act in play, I think he has an opportunity now to try to stomp this out before it spreads and before we get worse aspects like this nationwide. I think he needs to surge resources. I think he needs to send a message that didn't happen, frankly, in the early days of blm, that violence is unacceptable, that we're going to arrest people who engage in violence against ICE officers. And we cannot allow what happened in 2020 to replicate itself back in the summer of 2020. It feels a little bit like the early stages of potentially something similar.
Buck Sexton
Well, this is why on Truth Social, Trump has written the if the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don't obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the patriots of ICE who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the Insurrection act, which many presidents have done before me. Clay, I think he should.
Clay Travis
Yes.
Buck Sexton
I think that this is a, this is a pivotal moment. This is a defining moment for whether we are a rule of law country. Democrats, the Democrat base of Biden, Kamala, etc. The lawlessness of illegal immigration, they have embraced. They do not get to nullify federal law enforcement efforts. Imagine, Clay, what the response would have been if there had. If we had had people ambushing FBI officers who were going in at pre dawn raids for nonviolent J. Sixers. Imagine what the Democrat. By the way, I think the Democrats would have said the FBI just open fire on them. I mean, I honestly think they would have, they would have been fine with lethal force in that situation. And unfortunately, I think some of those FBI officials would have done it because they're scumbags. Some of them have been fired thanks to the last year. But Clay, the Insurrection act, this is clearly a organized and planned out and widespread effort to undermine the rule of law and to stop the administration from effectively conducting these operations. When it comes to immigration enforcement, whatever resources are necessary should be deployed. Whatever the federal government needs to do here. You know, we've seen this in the past. We've seen how they'll send soldiers to the schoolhouses for the Civil Rights Act. Whatever they got to do here, they got to do.
Clay Travis
Is it fair to say that Trump 1.0 may be the most disappointing decision that was made, not situation that arose, but decision that was made was not aggressively enough trying to stamp out the BLM protest? I think if you go back in time, summer of 2020. I think the Trump team made the decision that this was going to burn itself out more rapidly than it did. And unfortunately, what we got was actual burning of so many different cities. And like I said, you can go back. The Data is clear. 2020, 2021. Murder rates skyrocketed all over the country as police were not allowed to do their job. But my concern is that we are seeing the same kind of opposition to ICE that we saw to police in 2020. Let's be honest, a lot of times it's difficult when there's a police raid going on or an FBI raid going on or an ICE raid going on to know exactly who the authorities are that are conducting that raid. And so I think Trump has to come in aggressively. We saw him do it and I think he set the tone in the agenda and the precedent in la. It wasn't that long ago, Buck. Remember when the Waymos were burning and they were throwing things at police officers and at ICE agents like crazy. And you had Mayor Karen Bass speaking out about how unacceptable it was. Trump surged support for ICE agents in Los Angeles and by and large, that story vanished. They put in place the rule of law, now they file lawsuits. And they said, oh, remember Gavin Newsom said, Trump can't call out the National Guard. He doesn't have this authority, clearly does. He has the authority to call it out. Minneapolis has emerged as the flashpoint, I think, of far left wing activism anywhere in the country. Tim Walls and Mayor Fry are encouraging this in Minneapolis. I think President Trump needs to surge law enforcement resources and needs to send the message, we're not letting this spread. ICE is going to do their job. We've got their back and we're going to continue to implement the raids and, and policies that were already in place. This is, to me a crucible decision for the President.
Buck Sexton
It's also very obviously where the Democrats believe they will break the back of this administration and turn the tide just in time for the midterms. Yes, they think that they can do two things here. One, energize the Democrat base. Get them all. Oh, we're the new civil rights heroes. And we're. I mean, they're standing up for illegals in some cases. These people are preventing arrests of, like, rapists and pedophiles and murderers and gang members. And they think they're heroes for this, which is completely insane. But that's where the Democrat base is. This is all they've got. I mean, they're not going to win on, on women can have penises. I mean, we saw that at the Supreme Court. That's actually.
Clay Travis
Which is the strong basis of the Democrat Party, to be fair.
Buck Sexton
It turns out that's actually not true. Democrats, and you can keep saying it's true, but it's still not true. And we're not going to change our minds on this one. So they think that immigration is where they can make their stand. And they also know that this is where Trump cannot break his compact with his voters this time around. First administration, first time, some bumps, some lessons, everything else, this is it. Trump's got this and this term only to figure this out. And that's why I think that whatever it takes to dutifully and faithfully enforce these laws in Minneapolis and elsewhere is what the administration should do. I think Trump knows this is an all in moment for his agenda and for his second term.
Clay Travis
No doubt. And so again, we will see. And unfortunately, I think what you are seeing is the mayor of Minneapolis and the governor of Minnesota, Tim Walls and Fry, Jacob Fry, they have made ICE agents targets. They are encouraging people to target them. I hate to say it, but unfortunately it feels self evident that this is going to happen. Buck. Somebody in Minneapolis is going to open fire on ICE agents, that this is going to happen. It feels inevitable to me. All of you know it, because they are encouraging their crazy supporters, their base, to engage in this kind of behavior.
Buck Sexton
Remember that lunatic BLM supporter who killed, I think it was five cops in Dallas.
Clay Travis
Yep.
Buck Sexton
And many of us had been saying they're calling for violence against cops. This is going to get out of control. They're calling. Not only are they calling for violence against ice, and this is from across the board.
Clay Travis
Now there's.
Buck Sexton
Because when you say someone is a Gestapo, every movie we've ever seen, what do you want to happen to the Gestapo agents? And sometimes it does. Right. That Inglorious Bastards movie or whatever. Right. But what do you want to happen? You want someone to take out the evil Gestapo guy, Indiana Jones? What do you want the Nazis faces to be melted off and all that? This is. So when you're calling people Gestapo and Nazis and ss, which is what they're calling ICE and I mean members of Congress, you want bad things to happen to them.
Clay Travis
Yes.
Buck Sexton
And not only do they want bad things to happen to them if an ICE agent, God forbid, but if an ICE agent is killed in the conduct of his duty, you'll go on Blue sky if you want. That night, there'll be maniac Kamala voters celebrating it all over the Internet, all over the Internet. The people that pretended to care so much about the rule of law. Oh, the insurrection. January 6th. All of a sudden, law enforcement, they will celebrate the murder of a law enforcement officer. If it happens all over the Internet, Clay, you know it and I know it. And that's what they've taken this country to.
Clay Travis
They're putting targets on all of them. The behavior is unacceptable. And again, the fact that Minneapolis is sort of the hornet's nest of opposition, I think we have to send a message that this is unacceptable. We can't allow it to spiral and spread. We saw what Trump did in la. I think it was effective. And the same thing needs to happen in Minneapolis. I actually think, Buck, the best advantage we have in Minneapolis right now. It's going to sound crazy, is that it's super cold, because when The George Floyd BLM protest began, it was May. It was May of 2020. Weather was getting better. You've talked about the fact that protesters, by and large, show up in bigger numbers when the weather is good and it's super cold in Minneapolis. Notwithstanding the reaction and the opposition that we're seeing right now, I think it's easier to tamp down this behavior right now than it would be in May or June. I should expect it, though, because we're going into an election year. The timing on this is not coincidental.
Buck Sexton
It's like we were there for the inauguration and we saw that sad protest that we've talked about on the show before. The old. The old ladies with their teeth chattering. All, all 10 of them, like, free Abu Maia, Free Palestine.
Clay Travis
Almost exactly one year ago today, we were doing the inauguration trip to Washington, D.C. and that was what we were seeing. It was exactly that situation.
Buck Sexton
I can't feel my toes. But trans rights are human rights. You know, it was. It was a sad, sad spectacle out there. So, yes, protesting in freezing weather is certainly less fun. Of all the investments that I've made in the last decade or so, buying it, owning gold, gotta be top five. In fact, here, I'll tell you something, I just bought more gold. In fact, I just sent through the wire. I've got this underway right now, thanks to my friends at Birch Gold Group, because I'm a believer. I understand right now you're like, gold's gone up so much. 60% last year alone.
Clay Travis
Yeah.
Buck Sexton
But there's a reason why it's not. It's not because stocks dropped off so much. Right. There was a lot of movement in the markets. It was positive last year. It's because the long term thesis for gold remains strong. So if you're a long term holder, I'm not saying, you know, get in, get out, like short term stuff. If you're a long term holder, holder precious metals guy like I am Gold and Silver Birch Gold Group is here for you. They make it so easy. Here to Clay and Buck. Yeah, Democrats are deciding they're really going to dig in on this madness. Tim Walls here saying that he wants Minnesotans, the governor OK of the state. As you know, he wants a database of ICE atrocities is what he this is Cut six. Listen to what he has to say tonight.
Clay Travis
I want to share another way you can help witness. Help us establish a record of exactly what's happening in our communities. You have an absolute right to peacefully film ICE agents as they conduct these activities. So carry your phone with you at all times and if you see these ICE agents in your neighborhood, take out that phone and hit record. Help us create a database of the atrocities against Minnesotans. Not just to establish a record for posterity, but to bank evidence for future prosecution.
Buck Sexton
Atrocities. This this guy speaks about this play like war crimes are being committed and that's really what they're telling their base. And they also know they're not just going to film. They're going and get in the way and obstruct and then they're going to go, I was just filming. Oh, how they're going to play this.
Clay Travis
What a strange thing this is. People are here illegally. Many of them have committed violent felonies and our government is trying to remove those people from the country to make us all safer. And the resistance 2.0 is we shouldn't be trying to remove violent criminals from inside of our country. I just, I really sometimes political arguments, I sit back and I say, you know what, there's an interesting argument there. I can analyze that. There's a legitimacy to it. I can't believe that the argument is we need to pull our phones out to record people. If you're illegally in the. I really don't understand. I mean Tim Wall should have to answer questions. If we didn't have a worthless media most left wing, what number of illegal immigrants is Tim Walls okay with being in Minnesota? I mean that's a question that no Democrat ever answers. What would be okay to you? My answer is we should have zero illegal immigrants in the country. That's my opinion. Now some people may disagree with me, but we've got 20 million. According to Tom Homan. What was the. What would be the number where Walls would say this is cool, I'm fine with it.
Buck Sexton

Welcome back in Clay. Travis, Buck Sexton show. Some breaking news here from Bill Milluchin. DHS has released the names and backgrounds of the three illegal aliens they say I'm reading from his tweet, attacked an ICE agent in Minneapolis last night, leading to a shooting. All were Venezuelan illegal aliens caught and released at the border by the Biden administration. He names them all in this release. All of them had outstanding warrants basically with final orders of removal that have been entered into by an immigration judge. These three individuals had no legal ability to be in the United States and they attacked an ICE agent in the midst of being arrested and in the process of being removed and deported. Buck, this is yet again the heroes that Tim Walls, Jacob Frey and Jacob Fry and others inside of the the deaf left wing Democrat establishment have decided are the heroes that they need to support. The ICE agents are the bad guys. And as you heard just a little bit ago last segment, we played the audio of Tim Wall saying, everybody in Minneapolis, carry your phones around if you happen to see somebody from ICE record everything they do. So we, meaning the state, could potentially prosecute going forward. I just, I look at this and it is absolute bonker, absolutely bonkers to me that this could become the orthodoxy of the Democrat Party. Illegal aliens are good guys and the, the, the actual authorities who are trying to protect us are the bad guys.
Buck Sexton
You could go back, Clay, right after Trump won the election, I remember we had a conversation here on the show and I said, and you, you affirmed you agreed. But I remember going into how this is the Democrats Waterloo one way or another. I don't know what side of it they're on, but they figure this is this issue of Trump illegal immigration enforcement. It's where they're going to make the stand. They can't really do the we like criminals thing the same way thanks to mostly to body cams. So the whole blm, release all the criminals and let everybody like that, that.
Clay Travis
Whole defund police, really, you nailed this one on the body cams. Democrats thought that the body cams were going to show that police were awful, racist, intransigent, indefensible, awful human beings. And instead it showed that actually most police are incredibly, incredibly generous in the way that they respond to people who are often behaving in an indefensible manner, sometimes too much. Right. They're actually giving too much leeway to people who are engaging in violent threats.
Buck Sexton
I think that body cams have done more for the reputation of law enforcement in a positive sense than Anything since the surge of pro police and fire sentiment from 9 11, quite honestly.
Okta Ad
Yeah.
Buck Sexton
You remember when everyone. I think that's a good heroes of 9 11. Since 9 11, I think the one thing that has done more for the reputation of police is we can see. And also here's another thing that's really important. Everyone can see and they know that. So the cops know that this can't be misrepresented, lied about. So they know as long as they are staying on procedure and they are being, you know, they're being respectful but firm, as long as they're doing their jobs, the public will know the truth. Now, some will ignore it and some are going to be, you know, they're going to do what they're doing here with the ICE thing, even though it's not. It's not about Renee Goode, really. They're just. They've come up with something and they don't want people to even think very hard about it. Right. They're just emotionally mobilizing the street shock troops of the left.
Clay Travis
I also think what the videos have shown up to and including the ICE officer video when he was struck by the vehicle, we also will see. There's actually some leniency from. I think police were nervous because they were thinking, oh man, we're gonna lose our temper every now and then and we're gonna curse and we're gonna not be the best versions of ourselves. As anyone out there, no matter what you do sometimes happens, you lose your temper and you're not the best at your job. You wish you could have been better people, actually, I think get that and are willing to give some space for imperfect behavior, which is still well intentioned. And what you see is the people that the police are interacting with overwhelmingly are much more disrespectful, are much more indefensible in their behavior than police are. And to your point, Buck, when on the rare occasion there is evidence of a police officer engaging clearly in inappropriate or illegal behavior, almost everybody sees it and says, yeah, that shouldn't happen. Like, let's go ahead and have a result in some form or fashion that is negative for that officer. I just, I think that BLM basically ended when they said we need police cameras everywhere, every officer, body cameras. And we're actually seeing that police as a group do a pretty good job dealing with people who often are awful to them.
Buck Sexton
Sometimes they're far more patient than I think. I think I'm pretty patient and even killed in general. I would say you are too. Neither one of us are. Have volcanic tempers, fly off the handle, anything like that. There are some people in this business that are very much like that and they do so for effect on air. We don't do that. I see a lot of times cops being even more patient than I think I would be in their shoes in the circumstance. So I tip my hat to them and we got a lot of cops who listen and what you have to deal with. But you know, they also, there's, they always got to remember so many of us, like the sane people are so thankful for good cops. They're so thankful for the good cops that I think it cancels out the, like, I'm, I'm not going to listen to your request and I'm, you know, I don't have to do. It's like, ok, you know, we get it. We know you're crazy.
Clay Travis
I also think for the sane people out there, let's say you get pulled over, let's say you interact with the police. I think in the back of their minds too, there's a recognition that you might be on tape, which I think helps behavior for the sane element out there interacting with police. Now, we've certainly seen, and by, by far at least the ones that have gone viral that I've seen, we've seen a lot of Democrat elected officials actually be total jerks on camera to cops, bragging about what their position is, bragging about their influence. And I would just say in general, if you ever find yourself uttering the phrase, do you know who I am? You're probably on the wrong side of an argument. Just in general, there's very few times where someone says, do you know who I am? And you watch the interaction and you think, you know what? They really should have played that. That made a lot of sense.
Buck Sexton
Well, also, if you have to ask the question, the answer is no.
Clay Travis
Yeah, well, that's true.
Buck Sexton
So that's, that's the other part of this. Like, or, or they know and they don't. They don't care. Look, I think speaking of Democrats who are making jackasses of themselves, here is the mayor, Jacob Fry. I will say his name properly. Minnesotans or Minneap. Minneapolians.
Clay Travis
Oh, now you put yourself into a.
Buck Sexton
Pickle there with Minneapolites.
Clay Travis
That's a tough word.
Buck Sexton
Minneapoleans. I don't know. I don't know how we do that one. People from the city of Minneapolis. Minneapolis. Minneapolis Seasons, they. That's a tough one, guys.
Clay Travis
It's a tough one.
Buck Sexton
Jacob Fry. Fry.
Clay Travis
Here he is.
Buck Sexton
This is cut 8. Let's listen to what this moron has to say.
Clay Travis
Imagine if that city or that town was suddenly invaded by thousands of federal agents that do not share the values that you hold dear. Imagine if your daily routines were disruptive. The local cafe that you eat at was shut down because they're. They're scared that their own family might get torn apart. Imagine if schools shut down and suddenly parents got to figure out what to do for daycare.
Buck Sexton
Clay, what are the values that he's talking about? Notice it's. They always do this thing. And this is part of Manipulation of crowds, which is addressed in my book, Manufacturing Delusion, available for purchase February 17th. I told you I'm going to be shameless, buddy. You're be proud of my shamelessness until this.
Clay Travis
Yeah, I'm shameless on promotion. So this is going to be a new world for you compared to me.
Buck Sexton
I've learned from the master on this one. I'm going to be pushing Manufacturing Delusion, which is available now on Amazon or wherever you get your books, until the thing it comes out and then probably for a month afterwards. But I do get into this in the book as well. Whenever someone is. Is. This is about emotional manipulation. Whenever someone is being. Is using powerful language but vague in what they're. In what they're saying. This is classic. This is Gustave Le Bon is the mad. You know, basically. A Madness of Crowds is a different book. But the madness of crowds, mass formation and the crowd mind. This is a classic tactic.
Clay Travis
What are the.
Buck Sexton
What are the values that these federal agents do not share with the people of Minneapolis? He doesn't say, is it that they're not allowed to enforce the law? What is the problem here? They never describe what the problem is. I'm also going to add this Clay, that they still are trying to dox and I believe they broke into an officer's car.
Clay Travis
Oh, yeah. Stole a gun. Like got a lot of information. I mean, that definitely happened.
Buck Sexton
And they've got information that they are trying to dox these officers is to me, you know, this is indicative of the violence that they want to be visited upon federal law enforcement.

Here's what I would say in response to Jacob Fry, that argument the Minneapolis mayor just made too. I actually, if you gave the average American a choice, first of all, the use of the word invaded, as you said, very colored intentional language. But let's just use his verb. Would you rather be invaded by federal agents whose goal is to enforce the law vigorously in your community, or be Invaded by illegal immigrants. Which would you rather have invade your community? I don't even think the premise of his argument is supported by most people in the country. If you told me right now, hey, Clay, your hometown is going to be flooded with federal agents who want to make sure that crime is as low as possible in your city or your city is going to be invaded by illegal immigrants who don't speak your language, who aren't supposed to be in the country. I don't. Who is out there saying, yeah, you know what I want? Illegal immigrants, many of whom have criminal records. I want those people flooding my communities. I want them invading my communities, not the American citizens deputized to try to limit as much as possible crime in this community. No one is saying that they want. If you want to be invaded by somebody. I want to be invaded by the law abiding people whose goal is to create as little of crime as possible. I. That's who I would choose to storm the gates of my city, to storm the gates of my town, my state, my community. I don't even think the premise of his argument is remotely accepted or endorsed by the vast majority of Americans. We'll take some of your calls, by the way, 800-282-2882. I knew I was gonna get lit up on this one before I get lit up on this one. You know, I'm. Tell everybody. Clay, I have to give you credit for a very good recommendation. I prefer when I can trash your recommendations, usually involving movies. But like when you said Gladiator 2 was good, so I have to throw this in there.
Clay Travis
I said it was worth watching. I don't remember saying it was good.
Buck Sexton
I mean, you know, to call that movie anything but a steaming pile of refuse is. Is unfair. But you gave me an excellent recommendation. I'm deep into Killer Angels and it.
Clay Travis
Is a great book.
Buck Sexton
Great book. Fantastic. So Clay gets an A plus on that book recommendation. It is Civil War, though, so we do expect that, right?
Clay Travis
Like this is, I mean, the Killer Angels. Michael Sherris book one, I think in like 1976, won the Pulitzer Prize. And if you are a history nerd, this is a fiction, but it takes you into the minds of all the different. All the different deeply researched historical fiction.
Buck Sexton
So all the events and the descriptions are very accurate and true to the situation. But he has to recreate dialogue, obviously, because we didn't have all these guys. We didn't have body cams on Robert E. Lee. That would have been interesting. Oh, no, that would have been interesting. Cindy from Superior, Arizona, listens on KFYI CC on the talkback. Hit it.
Caller/Mindy from Superior, Arizona
Hey, Buck. Mindy from Superior, Arizona. I'm currently on a road trip from Arizona to Missouri, and I listen to you guys all the time. And I love your show. The word, the name for the citizens of Minneapolis that you're looking for is Minneapolitan. Have a great day, guys.
Buck Sexton
All right, Mindy, first of all, thank you and thank you for listening. We greatly appreciate you. Thanks for hanging out with us every day. I would not have gotten that, like, if this was the spelling bee. And I'm on stage. I would. I would have started crying and run off the stage to mommy. I would not have gotten that one.
Clay Travis
It sounds like a opposing ice cream to Neapolitan. Like they would be feuding. Subtle variations. Some people would be fans of that style of ice cream, others would not.
Buck Sexton
You go ice cream. Isn't Neapolitan a pizza?
Clay Travis
I thought Neapolitan was. Oh, am I wrong? I thought Neopolitan. Now you've got me, like, rattled here because I thought Neapolitan was also an ice cream, but I think it's a pizza.
Buck Sexton
It is.
Clay Travis
Is it both?
Buck Sexton
It is both. It is both. But that's. I. I did not know there was Neapolitan ice cream.
Clay Travis
I always just think of the pizza man. Yeah. No, Neapolitan ice cream is, like, multi flavored. Right. I. I know you as a pistachio ice cream guy. Not really a fan of multiple flavors.
Buck Sexton
I go pure pistachio because I know what the good stuff is, my friends. Pistachio, the greatest ice cream flavor.
Clay Travis
Yeah. I mean, if you eat it while you're wearing a monocle and a top.
Buck Sexton
Hat, maybe I eat it in solidarity with the Iranian people because Iran is a great producer of pistachio. I will have you know pistachio.
Clay Travis
Well, that's interesting. We'll come back, we'll talk some about Iran, I think. We're also scheduled to be joined by our friend Tudor Dixon, part of the spectacular Clay and Buck podcast network, to talk about President Trump's trip to Michigan on Tuesday. All of that headed your way as we dive into our number two.
Buck Sexton
Did you ever. Now you got to pick up Gates of Fire. My, my.
Clay Travis
I have it at. I have it at the house. I thought that I would read more during Christmas break. I did it, but I have it at the house. I am going to open it and start reading it. Great recommendation. I just haven't dove in yet.

Host: Clay Travis & Buck Sexton (iHeartPodcasts)
This episode dives deeply into escalating unrest in Minneapolis following an ICE-involved shooting, broader debates over immigration enforcement, and the positioning of Democrats and Republicans around these volatile issues. Clay and Buck connect current events to previous cycles of political and civil unrest, debate the response strategies from leadership, and critique local and federal officials—especially regarding the treatment of law enforcement and illegal immigrants. Throughout, their signature blend of blunt, humorous banter and hard-right analysis is on display.
| Timestamp | Speaker | Quote | |-----------|---------|-------| | 03:17 | Clay | "It has become downright nasty in Minneapolis on a level, frankly, that does not exist anywhere else in the country." | | 04:46 | AG Pam Bondi (via caller) | "So the breaking news tonight, I fired them all. They're fired from the office." | | 06:57 | Buck | "This is a pivotal moment. This is a defining moment for whether we are a rule of law country." | | 10:45 | Buck | "They're standing up for illegals in some cases. These people are preventing arrests of, like, rapists and pedophiles and murderers and gang members. And they think they're heroes for this, which is completely insane." | | 13:05 | Buck | “They're calling ICE and, I mean, members of Congress, you want bad things to happen to them.” | | 14:06 | Clay | “They're putting targets on all of them. The behavior is unacceptable.” | | 21:21 | Tim Walz (clip) | "Help us create a database of the atrocities against Minnesotans... to bank evidence for future prosecution." | | 25:26 | Clay | "It is absolute bonkers to me that this could become the orthodoxy of the Democrat Party. Illegal aliens are good guys and the actual authorities who are trying to protect us are the bad guys." | | 26:58 | Buck | "Body cams have done more for the reputation of law enforcement in a positive sense than anything since the surge of pro police and fire sentiment from 9/11, quite honestly." | | 30:16 | Clay | “Do you know who I am?’—you're probably on the wrong side of an argument.” | | 31:55 | Jacob Frey (Mayor) | "Imagine if that city or that town was suddenly invaded by thousands of federal agents that do not share the values that you hold dear..." | | 34:04 | Clay | “Would you rather be invaded by federal agents whose goal is to enforce the law vigorously in your community, or be invaded by illegal immigrants?” |
This tightly focused hour serves as a snapshot of a conservative media response to intensifying immigration enforcement debates and the continuing aftershocks of the BLM era—filtered through the hosts' uniquely brash and energized style. The tension between law enforcement and local “resistance” sets the stage for high-stakes political maneuvering as both sides dig in ahead of the 2026 midterms.
