Buck is in Cannes, France, this week on the French Riviera with all the big advertising community. I am here with you in Washington, D.C. monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Then I'll be back in my hometown of Nashville to finish out the week. But a lot of news coming in massive amounts. I talked about off the top, the military parade, the 250th anniversary of. Of the army and how spectacular it was. We talked about the no Kings rally and the impact that that had and how actually the two protests should have just been one big celebration. Because if you're truly excited that we don't have kings, the reason we don't is because of the colonial army and because we defeated the greatest power in the world at that time, England, and became an independent country. I even talked about how much of the, I would say, historical bastardization of the American history has all been rolled into the way that the conversation is taking place. Including, by the way, I don't know how many of you have paid attention to this, but Los Angeles, which has emerged as the epicenter of the anti price, anti ice protest. Have you noticed how people are arguing, well, Los Angeles actually is Mexico. Have you noticed that? Well, Los Angeles used to be Spanish territory. It used to be Mexican territory. And therefore, why would you not be waving Mexican flags? Did you just notice that the indigenous people, the Native Americans, just don't matter in that reading. It is funny how white Americans are always the bad guy. You can't just say, well, you know, to a large extent, California was not very populated until it became. Until gold was discovered. That's why we have the San Francisco 49ers, because the gold rush that took place in California made California a State in 1850. And so California has been a United States for 125 years or more than that, whatever the math is. I just tried to do live math on the air, which is never great for me. 200 and I don't know, whatever 1850 to 2025 is, that would be 50 plus. Whatever the math is. We can't even claim California because now they're saying, well, it used to be Mexico or it used to be Spain. So all of the land grants and everything else that is supposedly so important to do, it suddenly doesn't apply as soon as people start waving the Mexican flag and I don't know the answer. In Mexico, do they do all these land acknowledgments like we do here? I don't know. Certainly there were Native American tribes in Mexico and all over Latin America and everywhere else. Do they do those? I have no idea if they do them or not. But I do think it's interesting where you end up in a situation where America is the bad guy, no matter what. 170 years, by the way. 175 years, to be exact. I'm doing the math. On paper, population increased in California. Some of you may have seen me talking about this over the course of the weekend, because I think Gavin Newsom has made the decision that he believes being opposed to Trump makes him more of a favorite in 2025. And so as he's running for the 2028 election, which will start in 2027, as soon as the midterm is over, he believes that is ultimately beneficial to him. I think he's wrong, because I think Californians have started to vote with their feet. And I know there are many of you out there listening to me who live all over the country now that were born in California or lived in California for a long time. Because the interesting thing is the population in California from 1850, when it became a state, all the way up to 2020, that is 170 years. For that entire time frame, the population of California only increased because in many ways, Southern California in particular is like America's Garden of Eden. It really is a virtually perfect climate to live in. It's one of the few places in the world where, as some of you who are listening to me in Southern California know, you're like, yeah, I could leave, but it's perfect. There are parts of Southern California. I know this is staggering to a lot of people where the homes don't even need air conditioning and they don't even need heat. It's kind of crazy. That's how perfect it is. I've said it before. I've spent a lot of time in Los Angeles. I love it. A lot of friends in Los Angeles. Only place I've ever lived a decent amount of time where you can walk out of a public building into the air, and it very often is the exact same temperature indoors and outdoors. You know, we all set the temperature gauges to be as comfortable as they possibly can be. LA is the only place I've lived, the only place I've spent a lot of time where when you walk outside, you can't even tell that you're walking outside. Like, the doors open, you walk outside. It's the same temperature indoors, outdoors. I had my sons out in LA a couple of years ago. You may remember, we got to go to Australia and we had to fly through Los Angeles, got held up there a little bit. And my son, my oldest son, who had not spent that much time in California, certainly not as a person who becomes aware of weather. It's Father's Day. You know how your kids, like, they don't really have any clue about weather until they get to be out 13 or 14 years old. Prior to that, it's like, whatever. The weather never matters to them unless they're waiting to see whether or not they're going to get out of school for snow. He was standing around, he's like, is the weather always like this? It was December in la. I'm like, yeah, it's pretty great. That's the benefit that Gavin Newsom has. They live in the Garden of Eden, but they have destroyed it in many ways. And it's because of the poor choices that they have made that have stacked up over time. Now, I told you that I wanted to connect what has been going on. The protests, it's one big story. The protests that have been going on against Israel and against Jewish people in the wake of October 7th. This is not me making this up. I was even reading it. I think it was. The Sunday New York Times had a huge graphic. 2% of the United States population is Jewish. Jewish people in the United States. It is off the charts likely that they will become victims of hate crimes. No one else is even close. And that has accelerated to a level that we have never seen in most of our lives in the United States since October 7th. And if you are unable to understand that, we are in a battle for good versus evil and Israel is firmly on the side of good. And many of Israel's foes are on the side of evil. And Israel's predominant foe in the Middle east is Iran. That doesn't mean that the Iranian people are evil. Most of the Iranian people hate their leadership. This is what Benjamin Netanyahu said about this. It's important to remember Iran was trying to kill Donald Trump. They shared videos celebrating the idea of killing Donald Trump. Iran hates Donald Trump. If you are a Trump voter, here is Benjamin Netanyahu telling you Trump is enemy number one of Iran because he supports freedom and he supports freedom in the Middle east for everyone. Listen to cut 12.
Benjamin Netanyahu
These people who chant Death to America, try to assassinate President Trump twice, killed 241 of your Marines in Beirut, killed and injured thousands of American soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq, try to bomb a restaurant in Washington D.C. chant death to America, burn the American flag. Do you want these people to have nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them to your cities? Of course not. Yeah, so we're defending ourselves, but we're also defending the world.
Buck Sexton
I want to talk about the nuclear threat. I want to talk about President Trump. You just said Iran tried to assassinate President Trump twice. Do you have intel that the assassination attempts on President Trump were directly from Iran through proxies?
Benjamin Netanyahu
Yes. Through. Through their intel? Yes. They want to kill him. Look, he's enemy number one.
Buck Sexton
Okay, that's Brett Baier. Sit down. Credit to Brett Baier, who now I think is the foremost American interviewing journalist, newsbreaker. And I'm not even sure who a close second is. So Brett Baier talking to Netanyahu there about the fact that Trump was tried to be assassinated twice. Now this just happened. There continuing to be attacks again. We were scheduled to have Amir Ohana, who is the speaker of Knesset, on to talk directly with all of you. We will get him at some point this week, but he had to cancel because of the ongoing strikes. We'll play a cut from him in just a moment for you. But this just happened as I was coming into the studio. Iranian state propaganda television was discussing the attacks and they were actually hit. Israelis have Iran. Iranians have been told for two generations that they're going to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. Within a couple of days, everything that Iran's been spending on their military was out the window. And Israel now has complete air dominance over all of Iran. They are striking military targets. They're striking propaganda targets. This is what it sounded like if you were watching state television on Iran. It has echoes of Baghdad, Bob, back in the day. Listen, that was Iranian state sponsored propaganda tv. They can't even stay on to keep their propaganda going. That is how weak that is, how impotent the Ayatollah's leadership has become. Here is Amir Ohana who was scheduled to join us earlier, speaking in English and giving you the latest update. I believe he's talking to the Iranian people here.
Benjamin Netanyahu
Listen to the people of Iran. In recent days, Israel has taken defensive measures against the Islamic Republic, a regime that for decades has oppressed you, the Iranian people, and spread terror across the region. These actions are directed solely at the regime, never at the Iranian people who have long been its greatest victims. For 46 years, the Islamic Republic has robbed Iranians of freedom, prosperity and dignity. Yet the Iranian people are among the most gifted and capable in the world. Iran is rich not only in culture and history, but also in natural resources and human talent. It should be one of the most prosperous nations on earth. Without this regime holding you back, there is no limit to what you can achieve. Iran can once again become a beacon of civilization as it was for centuries.
Buck Sexton
All right, that's Amir Ohana. We'll talk to him later this week. Directly addressing the Iranian people. And I hope and we'll talk about this a bit more during the course of this hour. I hope that the Iranian people are going to rise up and overthrow the ayatollahs and actually provide freedom in that country once more and more stability around the world. It should happen. I am hopeful that it is going to happen. I'll tell you why. In the meantime, we we're just a few weeks away from what's been dubbed the Rio Reset. This is a time when the get together of countries that always aren't looking out for each other. They're trying to figure out how to replace the US Dollar as the common currency between Brazil, China, Russia, Iran, India, some other countries are out there. It may well be the greatest threat to the US dollar's global dominance in the past 80 years. This is going to happen at a summit in Brazil. They're laying groundwork. How can you protect your ira? Welcome back in Clay. TRAVIS BUCK SEXTON SHOW Breaking down what's going on in Iran and what I hope is going to be the rising up of the Iranian people. Attacks have been going on since Thursday night and I will say everyone who told you, at least so far, oh, if, if Iran is attacked, we're going to have thousands of American deaths and it is going to be global apocalypse and World War three is going to start. I think you're seeing and I think the Iranian people are learning that they were sold a bill of goods, that all of the tens of billions of dollars that Iran has spent on Hezbollah, on Hamas, on propping up the Syrians, all of it's just wasted money. And most of the Middle Eastern countries that are having success, Saudi Arabia, for instance, are quietly applauding what is being done by the Israelis to the Iranians. And in fact, I think a lot of Iranian people are looking around the Middle east and saying other countries are surpassing and advancing technologically much more than we are. In fact, I mean, just look at the uae. Look at what's going on in Saudi Arabia. Look at many of the different countries that Iran used to be ahead of technologically and economically that have since soared past Iran, Qatar. These are small oil rich nations whose leadership has better distributed their overall assets and has created massive opportunity for the people in those countries. And with economic opportunity has tended to come more freedom. It wasn't very long ago that women in Saudi Arabia weren't able to drive cars and you couldn't go watch movies. Saudi Arabia has advanced rapidly in the space of a generation. Meanwhile, since the Ayatollah came to power in 1979. Iran has fallen behind and they have denigrated Israel and said that they're going to wipe Israel off the map. And it took a day for Israel basically to take over Iranian airspace and be able to rain down missiles on anyone at any point in time as they see fit. That's a hard reality to face as the propaganda collapses. Now, I know a lot of people out there saying, hey, I don't want to get involved in building a nation again. Some of you served in Iraq. I think Iraq was a profoundly misguided decision. I've been saying it for 20 years. In fact, the first time that I really kind of perked up and thought Trump might be a difference maker was when he had the willingness to criticize George W. Bush and all the neocons who tried to rebuild Iraq. I don't think that we should be trying to do that in Iran. Make no mistake about it. But I do believe the Iranian people should rise up and overthrow the Ayatollah. And if they did so, perhaps the Iranian royal family comes back in. I'm not sure who would actually take over that void would be an uncertainty. But historically, Iran was a great power in the Middle east and Iranian freedoms existed quite strongly. You can see it for yourself. That country has gone back in time over the past several generations. We'll talk about that. I think our buddy Dave Rubin from the Rubin show is going to join us here in a sec when he comes back. In the meantime, summers, when we get more of the outdoor repair work done on houses. We are rolling through a big weekend of news as it pertains to everything going on in Iran and in Israel as well as what has been going on with the parade in Washington D.C. which was fantastic. And also simultaneously with everything that that went on with the no Kings protest. Dave Rubin, who has a very popular show many of you may have watched on YouTube and other distribution platforms, is calling in right now into the studio. So we are going to have him on here momentarily. Guys, let me know. He just texted me that he was calling in right now. So let me know when we pull him up. But there has been a lot and by the way, open phone lines if you want to make this argument, 800, 282. 282 that the United States has been too involved. Dave Rubin is with us now. This is not Dave and I appreciate the time. This is not an argument just on the right. This is not an argument just on the left. Some people are out there arguing that the United States is being too involved with Iran and the way that we are engaging right now with the attacks from Israel. What would you say to those people?
Dave Rubin
Well, my general take here would be that we should just let Israel do its thing. You know, I would take the same approach to Israel that I would take with any sovereign Western nation, which is if they feel they have an existential threat basically on their borders and they've been fighting at least a seven front war here. Iran has made no, it's not like they've been sort of joking around when they chant death to Israel, death to America, death to the UK by the way, sort of all of Europe. So Israel decided that it needed to take matters into its own hands. As for, you know, what we should do as Americans, I am 100% against American boots on the ground or anything like that. I haven't heard anyone offer or even request anything like that. The Israelis are very proud. I was just in Israel last week. I know you were there. Not Too long ago, Clay. They're very proud that they're doing this on their own. They would like some material support. They may need some munitions. They might need some help fighting some of the nonsense, political fights at the UN or the ICC or that sort of stuff. But the truth is, and I think this is fairly obvious, that most of the world wants Israel to do this. The Arab countries, you know, in all the other wars, if we look back at the, you know, the war for Independence, 1948, or you look at the 1967 war, 73, Yom Kippur War, every time Israel was attacked, all of the Arab nations would jump on top of them and try to get in on it. Then they would subsequently lose and lose territory. This time, everybody's kind of quiet. Jordan's not jumping in on this. Egypt's not jumping in on this. The Saudis certainly aren't. The other Gulf states are actually in peace deals with Israel, many of them now. So I think getting rid of the Iranian regime is within Israel's right in that the regime has decided the destruction of Israel is its number one priority. And hopefully the people of Iran step up. And this is nothing like, say, Iraq or Libya or some of the other adventures in the past.
Buck Sexton
I think that's important. Imagine we played an audio clip of the Iranian propaganda television station getting hit that's gone viral now on social media. And I give credit to my understanding that Elon Musk has turned on Starlink, and when they've tried to shut down the Internet, this is allowing Iranian people to get on and be able to see what's being said by someone other than state media. If you're in Iran right now and you got Israeli fighter jets flying over Tehran, all over your entire country, they're raining down very targeted attacks on Iranian military and governmental infrastructure. If you've been told for two generations, we're gonna sweep Israel off the map, and you've spent tens of billions of dollars, maybe even hundreds of billions of dollars in Iranian people money to do that, and. And then you're getting wiped out in the space of about 48 hours. You don't even have the ability to scramble fighter jets to take on Israel, doesn't that maybe suggest that your government hasn't been advancing in your best interest and make it hard for you to believe that the Ayatollah offers the best possible pathway to peace and prosperity for your family?
Dave Rubin
Well, that's the real tragedy here. The Persian people are a wonderful people. I mean, I used to live in la. Every other person I bumped into was Persian. Now I live in Miami. Every other person I bumped into is Cuban. And the Persians are people who love freedom. Don't forget, Clay, if you haven't seen them, I'm sure you have. But if your audience hasn't seen them or listen to them, you can find videos on YouTube of what Iran was like in the 70s.
Buck Sexton
Yes, I've been telling people to watch. I've been telling people to watch this. It's so key. Before the revolution, this was one of the freest countries in the Middle east, right?
Dave Rubin
And nobody wants to live like these people have been forced to live, which is why what Israel has done here has been very strategic. They're not bombing random people in Tehran. They're going after military infrastructure. They went for the nuclear scientists. They went for the people that were the threat to them, the nation of Israel, and that actually were the threat to the people of Iran. So I think this has been very strategic. I think it's. You know, look, it's unfortunate that there's. There's some blowback happening in Israel right now. My sister and her family are there. They're in and out of bomb shelters right now. So, you know, nobody wants any of that. And of course, every rocket that Iran shoots is exactly like a Hamas rocket. It's designed purposely to kill as many civilians as possible. The complete reverse of what Israel does. But, Clay, real quick, because I'm sure this is what you've been talking about in the morning, and you sort of alluded to it in the first question on the America first part of this. I think what Donald Trump has done here is unbelievably extraordinary and is exactly what America first is. America first doesn't mean we have nothing to do with the world. It doesn't mean we have no moral standing or we're purely isolationist or anything else. What it means is exactly what Trump went to Saudi Arabia and hinted at all of this about six weeks ago when he basically said, hey, if you guys want to put old blood feuds aside, if you want to live in peace and enjoy trade and take part in the America that is about capitalism and giving people an opportunity to follow their dreams, get on board with us. And you can see all of the Arab nations are doing that. All they have to do, all Hamas has to do, and, well, Hezbollah basically doesn't exist anymore. The Houthis barely exist, and the Iranian reg. Really exists. But all these guys have to do just stop hating this tiny little country the size of New Jersey that has some Jews in it, stop doing that. And then you guys will enjoy all of the other benefits that come with being part of a giant American alliance. So to me, we are on the verge of something unbelievably positive here, and we just got to pray that, that it just keeps going in that direction.
Buck Sexton
I agree with you, and I'm going to talk about this a lot at the top of the next hour. But to me, really, what Trump has been holding out is let's have economic relationships that are mutually beneficial over generations of religious feuding. Whether you're Jewish, whether you're Muslim, whether you're Christian, whether you're not particularly committed or affiliated or you're some other religion, whatever it might be, let's all grow together economically. He sidestepped much of the religious battle, and I think that's been particularly smart on his Middle Eastern visits. Now, I do think this is interesting, Dave, and I encourage you guys. Follow Dave Rubin, check out his shows, does fantastic work. You can pitch people where they can find you to the extent they haven't already. What would you say? Because I'm going to address this top of the next hour, but I'm curious on your perspective. Some people out there on the right again on the America first front, but I think they're burned by what happened with Iraq. Because the first time, and I said this just a little bit ago that my ears really perked up with Trump was when he said, hey, the whole Iraq war was a waste of lives and money. We spent trillions of dollars, basically got nothing. I bet you agree with all of that, too. This is not that. But what would you say to people who say Iran is going to descend into Iraq, we're gonna be in a war there, we're gonna spend trillions of dollars, your kids are gonna have to fight this war. Cause that's the argument. I think they're trying to make sure.
Dave Rubin
I mean, I think there's like a lot of reasons. That argument's very confused. First off, we attacked Iraq. Whether you think we should or not. We attacked Israel did not. As a matter of fact, we asked Israel not to attack. And when Saddam was launching Scud missiles into Tel Aviv, they didn't even respond at our request. Believe me, they did not. They're a sovereign nation who wants to defend themselves, but they didn't want to risk and inflame a wider war. So that's one thing. There was an American war versus Iraq, where this is an Israeli war versus a country that was prom to wipe it off the map, but to the general notion of people that are tired of these things, I'm completely sympathetic to that. I'm also completely sympathetic to the idea that we should be cutting foreign aid across the board and all sorts of other things that are more in the libertarian lane. But what I would say here is sort of what I said earlier, which is that America, as the force that it is in the world, we are the last remaining superpower. And unless you want China and to a lesser extent Russia to take over and really spread their ideas, then it's our ideas, but not spreading them. The way we toppled Saddam. And then, by the way, there was a kind of year or two of free elections, but then there just wasn't enough on the ground to stabilize that. Or even worse, look what Barack Obama, by the way, did to Libya, where we got rid of Gaddafi, who was a bad guy. They called it a kinetic military action. And now, you know, Libya is basically a failed state. Afghanistan is a failed state. The difference here is that the people of Libya, they have leaders in exile who could come back and take over. And the people don't want to live like that. They do not want to live like that because they have that rich history that you talked about earlier. So there's an incredible opportunity here for people to just do exactly what you said that Trump did that was so good. It's like once you start giving people economic opportunity and hotels are starting to be built, and then you see people traveling more and all of these things, it all can change overnight. And that is the tragedy of what Hamas did with Gaza is I was just in Tel Aviv. It's about 20 miles north of the same exact beach that, that, that Gaza is. Right? I mean, it's the Mediterranean beach. It could be the most beautiful, wonderful place on earth where all of that Arab money could just pour into. They have to make the choice. And I think, and I hope that Israel is, by doing what they're doing, which is not easy, and taking the hits at home, they're creating enough of an atmosphere that good people will stand up.
Buck Sexton
Let me ask you this straight up. Let's pretend that Benjamin Netanyahu called you and he said, Dave, or he called me, because I'm going to give you my answer at the top of the next hour. Should we take out the Ayatollah? Should we take out, basically decapitate the Iranian government ourself, or do we basically hold back and hope that the Iranian people are going to do it with an uncertain outcome that that might occur? How do you handle that question Right.
Dave Rubin
Now, it's a great question. I mean, my answer basically would be it's a little bit of a time game. You know, Israel is so small that even though these rockets, they're taking out 90% of them, they're causing, you know, the country is in standstill. And this is a country that still has 20 hostages under Gaza that still has been trying to recuperate from that. And again, it's been in a seven front war. So it's like, all right, do you need to take out Ayatollah today? Probably not. If he's gone, does it empower the, the better people to come behind him and do something? Yeah, but they can't be in an intractable war forever. Their best military successes, it's like the six day war. You take out all of these armies at once and the Egyptian army doesn't even get off the ground. That's what they're going for. They're not, you know, again, the size of New Jersey. They can't lose a war once because if they lose a war once, it's all over. So I think that, you know, clearly they've been planning this for a long time. I think they've got all sorts of plans. Trump apparently has told them not to do it, but at some point, he may just see the writing on the wall and hop on a plane to Russia and then that'll be that, no doubt.
Buck Sexton

Gonna dive into Iran, Iraq. But let's have a little bit of fun here. I have said I'll maintain it for the rest of my life. If I could post a photo with whoever you think is the most attractive woman in the world in a bikini, maybe even fully nude, and you guys would not react to the girl at all. Beautiful woman right there next to me. You would only react to what I am wearing. Don't. From Southern California. Said he liked what I said over the weekend on Fox News, but he wasn't happy about what I wore.
Benjamin Netanyahu
Listen, Clay, I saw you on Media Matters.
Buck Sexton
You did great. But that suit you are wearing, man, it ruined it.
Benjamin Netanyahu
Guy just put on a blue or.
Buck Sexton
Black suit, but you did great on that. You sounded great and you look great.
Dave Rubin
But.
Buck Sexton
But, boy, that suit was something else. I could be in a tuxedo standing next to a fully nude Victoria's Secret model dressed like James Bond. At the absolute apex of James Bond. Amazing. Watch everything perfect. One of you would find a reason to criticize me. You wouldn't. Wouldn't even notice the Victoria's Secret supermodel standing next to me wearing no clothes. You would come straight for whatever I was wearing. It's unprecedented. I thought that jacket looked good. I went in, bought that jacket. It's a nice summer look. Light. It's 185 degrees in Washington, D.C. right now. I was like, if I'm going to have to wear a jacket, I can't be just sweating all over it. Walked right in the studio. I will say, first of all, the show's media buzz, but Howard Kurtz said I could never wear that jacket on the air and it doesn't matter. Has anyone. Producer Greg ever called in and said, this is the greatest outfit ever. Clay could not look better. He is perfectly attired. Has that ever occurred in four years? Producer Greg. No one has ever in any time reacted and said, this is the perfect outfit. Clay couldn't look. And how many times have you heard from people that I am wearing the wrong outfit? At least it doesn't matter what I wear. Doesn't matter what I am wearing right now. For those of you who watch a Gulf of America 2025 T shirt, somebody out there is going to write in and say, I don't know why you don't have the Gulf of Mexico shirt on, Clay. It really doesn't matter what I wear. It's unprecedented. My wife actually thinks this is funny. My wife has great fashion sense. A while back, I said, you just dress me. I don't even want to know what I'm gonna wear. I'm just gonna put it on. You are impeccable. You have amazing fashion. She dressed me two seconds after I post a photo. Immediate complaint about what I'm wearing. I've never seen anything like it. And by the way, it's almost always men. You guys can't dress yourselves and you're criticizing me more. Next.
