Welcome in our number two Thursday edition Clay Travis, Buck Sexton show. We appreciate all of you hanging out with us. Several different things that we're going to get to. First, a bit of breaking news we'll update you on later. There has been a shooting, according to multiple media organizations in Tallahassee at Florida State University. We know that we have a lot of people in the state of Florida listening and also obviously Florida State University draws students from all over the country. Four people hospitalized. Not known if the shooter is among those injured, but the suspect is in custody. We'll update you if more of those details come out in the hours ahead of the program. But just wanted to give you a update there. That is the absolute latest, um, you may be hearing about that. It may be a lead story going forward and we will see exactly how that continues to shake out. All right. Yesterday we talked about New York Attorney General Letitia James, clearly based on the evidence posted on Fox News as a part of their program having committed mortgage fraud in both Virginia and and New York State. We're gonna play for you shortly. The Daily Caller visited the properties in Virginia that were claimed as a primary residence of Letitia James. But first, I want to read someone very smart discussing this issue in particular, Buck. And that person said, when powerful people cheat to get better loans, it comes at the expense of hard working people. Everyday Americans cannot lie to a bank to get a mortgage. And if they did, our government would throw the book at them. There simply cannot be different rules for different people. Well said New York State Attorney General Letitia James on Twitter on February 16, 2024. What I just read for you. Everyday Americans cannot lie to a bank to get a mortgage. And if they did, our government would throw the book at them. That is Letitia James, who all of the evidence now suggests quite clearly lied on her mortgage applications to get a mortgage. By her own standards, the government must throw the book at her. Uh, this is amazing. Here is the Daily Caller credit to them. They went to the houses in Virginia to confirm that the primary residence claimed by Letitia James. Yeah, she doesn't live there. If she did live there, by the way, she would be in violation of New York law, which requires that the Attorney General and other people in positions of government in the state actually live in New York in order to represent the people of New York. But it's not going to shock you that Letitia James does not live in the home she listed as her primary residence 500 miles away from New York. But this is what it sounded like when they went to the homes to check and see who actually lived there.

Here is, I believe, proper in the Norfolk, Virginia area. Is Letitia James at home? Here's what it sounded like. There's a car parked in the driveway. Hello there, ma'am. No comment. Yeah, you're trespassing.

Okay, Buck. This is an open and shut case. That's the Daily Caller. Which allegedly went to the homes that Letitia James, Attorney general of New York, listed as her primary residence. Clearly, she's not living there. And for those of you out there that have, as we talked about yesterday, applied for a mortgage, the rate on a primary residence is much lower than the rate would be on a second home or a rental property. And given the fact that she cannot in any way live in Virginia while being the New York state attorney general, there is no way that she could claim, hey, I used to live there, and now we've got new, uh, new residence. Now it's a rental property, but it used to be my primary residence. It's impossible for her ever to have had these homes as her primary residence in Virginia. Buck. This is an open and shut case. I, I, I think that the state of Virginia, as well as federal authorities could and should be bringing charges very soon for mortgage fraud against Letitia James. And I think this is going to be very hard for her to avoid being found guilty for doing so.

There's, there's what the next steps would be. Let's assume that that happens. And I think if it doesn't happen, it will be an outrage. So it's quite clear that there's. There's plenty of reason to continue to.

Well, and I think that this should be much more widely considered to be the standard if you are a person who is making decisions about taking away freedom from other people and often really damaging or even destroying lives and using your power as a prosecutor to do that. Whatever the crime is that you have done should. You should get. You should get the maximum based on the fact that you were doing this to other people. I mean, because it erodes. It completely undermines any confidence you can have in the justice system. If you sit down from a prosecutor and he's going to send you away for drug possession and you find out that that prosecutor's got, you know, a bag of fentanyl in his car that he's going to be selling, you'd say, well, this is a joke, right? I mean, the whole system is a scam. Well, same thing with the mortgage fraud and Letitia James. That. That's what I see. So now what happens next? I think this is interesting. Two pieces of this, Clay. One, Letitia James, assuming that there are charges brought, which I am not 100% confident, just because, you know, I don't know, I don't want to get ahead of myself. There should be. Based on what we know now. I mean, there should certainly be an investigation. And it seems to your point, like this is an open and shut case. And as I've said, this is a did or didn't thing. This is not a. You know, there's really no wiggle room in this kind of a crime. Remember when, remember in billions they talked about this where a guy had an automatic weapon in his backyard. And they're like, this isn't insider trading where you can always make a case about insider trading. Oh, correct. Was it market moving?

Crime, crimes you have easy defenses for.

[Matt Gaetz]

There's always a defense. If they catch you with the automatic weapon. You're not allowed to have an automatic weapon. That's kind of a tough one to say, yeah, my dog ate it or something. You know, it's like not. There's no.

Somebody accidentally left that automatic weapon at my house. It wasn't. I mean, they're the defense.

You get. You get into preposterous defense territory. So. So here's what I think. She's going to say that this is political. She's going to say that this is racist. She's going to say that this is pa like, we know we could go the whole thing, payback, political, racist, sexist, you know, Trump, the violation of the rules of law. This is because she held. She spoke truth to power. I mean, I could write the Tish James speeches on this. Okay, I could do it right now. I'll tell you exactly what she's going to say. You and I both know it. No question. We know every. She's going to do the full Clay Davis from, From the Wire routine. You know, I stood for my community. I stood up against Trump. And you're saying, well, hold on a second. That has nothing to do with. Did you commit mortgage fraud? Right. Like, because that guy. Just to be clear, that guy committed mortgage fraud in the show, and that's what they got him on. And he walked. Don't ever forget, he did walk because he made it about everything other than the mortgage fraud. That's her play. But my second thing is, do Democrats decide to rally behind her or do they realize that this is, you know, they rallied behind Biden, he didn't have dementia. And they all looked like idiots. They all looked like idiots, every single one of them. Without question. If you went on tv, if you were Morning Joe, his brand never recovered, but it's never going to recover. That was one of the most astonishing own goals I've ever seen on tv. When him saying, oh, Joe, I mean, Joe Biden sharper than he's ever been.

I mean, the best version of Biden was his argument right before Biden. Yes. In 2024, that.

I mean, the, the most outrageous lie were. Baghdad Bob wouldn't have said that. Baghdad Bob would be like, no, Biden is bad now. He would not have been able to do it anyway. Do Democrats rally to her? Clay, what is your assuming that we're right, assuming there are charges, will they say, this is Trump payback, or will they say, we got it, we got to cut her loose. This is too much.

I think Andrew Cuomo is going to get elected mayor of New York City. He's a revenge guy. I think he's going to come after her hard because she got him at the governor's office for the. What?

I think I'm going to tell you this, dude. If I was. If I were him, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of Cuomo's people occasionally, you know, dabble and listen in on this show. But if I were him, I would. Absolutely. Absolutely. This is the crazy thing about Cuomo is I know a lot of you, like, you know, he's not a good guy. He was horrible on Covid There's a million things about Cuomo, but the touching the state trooper lady on, like, the hip or something once, I mean, guys, you know, she's got a gun. Like, come on, it's not a big deal. Like, nothing's going to happen. The stuff they got him on was garbage. And James plunged the knife in.

That's right. And I think ultimately that was because the Biden team thought he might challenge them in 2024.

Oh, absolutely.

So I think she did Biden.

I think she did Biden dirty work. And now she has no, there is no godfather that she can call upon for a favor.

She, Biden ordered the code Red. I legitimately believe this on Cuomo because he thought Cuomo was going to run against him. So they trumped up a bunch of bogus charges and forced him out. I think he's going to get reelected mayor of New York City. I've said this. I think he's going to run for president of the United States in 2028. I think all that's coming. OK, so my point on this is if I'm Andrew Cuomo and I feel like Tish James was executing order 66 for those of you who are Star wars fans, to take me out, and I see that she clearly lied on the, on the, the, the mortgage documents, I think she's got to go. But this is why I'm saying Virginia and New York need to bring charges because I think what you're talking about is 100% correct. She's going to go into the public arena and she's going to say, this is payback, this is racist. They can't stand a black woman in power. They come after us and they, okay, I don't think that plays very well in Virginia. I might play in New York City with a jury in New York City. But here's the other thing. Sometimes crimes are complicated and you look at them and you're like, man, this is really difficult to kind of get a handle on. Other times, people who have. Almost everyone at some point in their life fills out a mortgage application. It's not just this one that she claimed as a primary residence. It's also claiming that she was married to her dad. I think a lot of people are going to say, okay, you're the chief law enforcement official of the state of New York and you weren't smart enough to correctly fill out a mortgage application. And the way that you filled out the mortgage application benefited you financially. I don't buy that. This was just haphazard like paperwork, clerical Error?

No, nobody, Nobody who's bought a house thinks that like, like that you can say that you live in the house if you're not going to live in the house. This is not, this is not like a tax code issue where it's like, oh, but you know, is this, is this primarily a business trip or was it business? You know, this is not a gray area thing. Is this the, is this the home you live in? Yes or no?

And she said yes under penalty of perjury, and the answer was no.

Yes. And it's not even her state. Right. If at some point she had bought a home in New York, she could say, I live there for a short period of time and then I move somewhere else and now I've got a family member there or I'm using it as a rental property or whatever she's doing. She could never have bought this home legally as her primary state of residence and been the Attorney General of New York. So again, a jury might just not care. Like they didn't care about OJ Committing a crime because they buy into the idea that this is racism and sexism and all those things that might work in New York. I don't think it's going to work in Norfolk.

I also think this is a person who is either too stupid or too unethical to be making prosecutorial decisions about anybody. About anybody. So those are her options. The real options here are she is so dumb that she did not know that she was breaking the law multiple times. Which I, of course, and just to be clear, I do not believe that at all. Or she is so unethical that she figured, I am a powerful Democrat aligned black female prosecutor. Nobody's going to question me, nobody can touch me, and I can flagrantly violate the law and commit these felonies for not that much. You know, the other thing too is it's like not worth it at all to do this. When you really look at what you know, it's not like robbing a bank for 10 million and you can just make, you know, make a, make a run for Belize and hope nobody catches you or something afterwards. You know, unless Buck.

Unless Buck. Her finances personally are so bad that she might not have been able to get a mortgage except for it being a primary residence. Because, I mean, remember, it's kind of interesting that she's buying multiple properties while only making $200,000 ish a year in New York, which is, you can speak to people out there in Idaho or my home state of Tennessee, they might say wow, making 200 grand. You don't live that well on 200 grand in New York City. You don't. I mean that sounds crazy to people, but it's super expensive.

It's making a hundred grand in any. For a lot of you. Listen, like if you live, if you're listening in omaha right now, 200 grand in new York City. I've actually read analysis of this is like 100 grand. So you know, 100 grand. Yeah, you can, you, you as a single person, you can live really well on 100 grand. But are you buying multiple investment properties on 100 grand of income? Probably not.

And when you're living in New York, you're paying half that money in taxes.

So I mean it gets starts to, you know, you're buying multiple properties, that starts to get hard to justify legally on 100 grand. So I wonder whether she might not have qualified otherwise.

Welcome back in Clay Travis, Buck Sexton show. Appreciate all of you hanging out with us. We're rolling through the Thursday edition of the program. All right, Buck, just it's gone mega viral there and I feel bad for the short dudes out there that are going to have to hear this, but you all know it to be true. We always talk about like the privilege pyramid or you know, they always want to say, oh, white privilege. You and I, Buck, I think are in agreement that the number one privilege in America today is pretty girl privilege. Right. If you are a good looking woman, you are automatically elevated above everybody else no matter what your your gender is, no matter what your wealth is. That I think is the number one privilege in America today. I would say that the thing that men are most judged for is actually more significant and more anti privilege than anything that women are judged for. And that is what the data has shown on the dating apps. Women will not date short men. And I'll give you an example of this from my own life. My wife Laura, we have been married for 21 years, almost 21 years. And I asked her once, she's five two, let me repeat that. She is five two. I said, would you have dated me if I were 5 8? She said, no, probably not. She's 5 2, Buck. She could wear heels. And if I were 5 8, I would still be clearly quite significantly Taller than her. Unless they're the craziest heels ever. She is. I'm seven. I'm six foot. All right, so I, I've been good spot there. But then you convey. Confessed that your own wife, who you just had a baby with, confessed to you. What about height situations?

I was the, I was the bottom of the acceptable. I am also 6ft, by the way. Clay and I are the same height. I mean, depends on how swooped my hair or his hair is in any given day. But we're within like a half inch of each other and we stand up back to back. We're both about six feet tall. Okay. My wife has told me, she's like, yeah, you were basically like you. It was like I was, you know, when they do the. Tall enough for the ride at the amusement park, I was tall. I was just barely tall enough to date.

So she almost eliminated you for not being. How tall is your wife?

[Matt Gaetz]

Oh, she's 5 3. I mean, you've heard Laura, basically.

In other words. Yes, my wife's 52 years, about 5 3. I understand for women out there, if you're like 5 9, I understand why you might want to date a guy taller. This is not our situation.

We need to set some, we need to set some parameters now, everybody. And there's a bigger conversation here too, which is that marriage formation is down. A lot of guys are, and a lot of women are taking themselves out of the sort of marriage formation pool. There are a lot of people who are, you know, not pairing up, who say they want to. I'm not talking about if you, if you choose, you don't want to do it. If you want to become a monk. Okay, wait, there's always exceptions. So please don't call and be like, like, I have been living in a monastery for 30 years and I, I love this life. It's like, I get it. Ok. But for most people, we're going to exclude a few things because this is my friend Jedediah. Bela was the one who shared out the data on this one. And Jedediah, she likes to, you know, you know, she was on the View, she was on Fox for many years. She, she, you know, likes to sort of give it, give it tough to both sides, I would say. And in terms of the dating and the social stuff, you know, to the guys, the girls. And she just pointed this out that there's, there's, the data has a real, there's a real problem with this data now. And I want to argue that this is a new thing I think it is a new thing. Relatively new thing. Here's women who are saying, I won't date a guy shorter than me that I get so much so that I would say I, I think maybe once or twice I was on a date with a woman who was basically my height. Didn't like it. Yeah, didn't like it. I, I'm just a preference thing, everybody. You could say that's. I just, I'm not, I would, I.

Wouldn'T date a woman who's six two. You know, Like, I, I doesn't mean she's not attractive, but I wouldn't want to date a woman who's taller than me.

Yeah. Like, I, you know, I don't want to feel like she could beat me in a game of one on one. You know what I'm saying? Like, I, I just, it's not really what I'm looking for, so. But, but we're not talking about that. The data shows that 85% of women online. Let me repeat this, 85% of women have a problem with and don't want to date a man who is five, eight or shorter. And five, eight is a very interesting metric because that is average height, basically.

Right? It's 5, 8, 59 is like the average guy's height in America.

Yes. I mean, okay, yeah, maybe it's five, nine, but like, that is average male height.

85% of women online say that they will not date a guy who is average or less than average height. And that excludes all other factors. I'm just going to say it. There's also a thing where men online, it's a. In terms of their rating of attractiveness of women. It's a bell curve. They think, you know, they think 20% of women, they're really not, you know, 20%. 20%. Oh, pretty good. I mean, and it goes all the way up to. Oh, my gosh, 20%. Amazing. Like my dream woman.

Right?

Women, it's like 70. Again, this is the data. Don't argue with me, OK? I'll give you the citations. This is, this is millions and millions of swipes and data on Bumble on, OkCupid, on all the. Don't, don't. So don't call in and say, well, I'm shorter, I'm tall enough. No, no, there's a, this is about what's happening in the aggregate millions and millions of times across the country. Clay, I just got so excited, I.

Forgot where I was. But this is in Dick, my argument. I'm going to take it Even further than you. So if you're angry about anything, you should reach out to Buck because he's responsible for all these opinions. I actually think women.

I'm sorry, real quick, just. I don't want to. Women, basically, women think that, like 10 to 15% of men are good looking and all other men are ugly. That's what the data actually shows, which is insane. Again, men. It's a bell curve. Men live in the reality here of like, you know. And also they're far more willing to go on a date. Women. Now I understand biologically, you don't have to explain this. Jordan Peterson could show up and tell me, like, I get it. They have to be choosier. And there's a different thing and there's a different imperative with that. Fine. But 80% of guys are not ugly. You know what I mean? This is crazy.

So I think women are more. This is. Nobody will tell you this. I think I'm right on this. I think women are more selective of men in terms of what they must have than men are of women, in other words. Let me explain this.

Here's my theory on this. Guys will fall in love with particular body parts on women. This is 100% true. Every guy has got a guy.

Okay? I'm talking about the first time they see them. Every guy has a friend who is obsessed with long legs. Every guy has a friend who likes butts. Every guy has a friend and he cannot lie. Yes. Every guy has a friend who likes boobs. Other guys are like, I don't even care about anything else. All I want is a really pretty face. And you'll hear, be like, that girl weighs 300 pounds. Be like, yeah, but she's got a really pretty face. Like, there are guys. Whatever attribute you have as a woman, there are guys out there that are into it. There are people, Buck, who love feet. I don't even understand this. Like, have you seen her ankles? No. No. It's not. 1840 for dating.

That's a little bit of a different category.

But sure, I think there's feet. Guys back in the day. By the way, this is funny. Do you know what was considered scandalous in the. Oh, I used to give tours of the United States Capitol when I was in college. It was considered scandalous. This is amazing, because the people who would sit in the gallery at the Senate and at the House. Do you know how women would get men's attention who were on, like, the Congressmen and the senators, how would they be alluring?

They show a little ankle. Is this like Saudi Arabia?

They would show their ankles and the men below would look up and they would be like, that is the best looking. I'm kidding about this. Like Sam Houston back in the day. He's on the, he's on the floor there. Davy Crockett. They would, they would be talking off, off the, off the floor. They'd be like, did you see the set of ankles on Tilda in the front row of the, of the House of Representatives? I'm telling you, this is men. There are men who are into everything. I don't think there is an equivalent for women, like the height thing. If you are, I'm sorry, if you are short and bald, you better have an incredible job. You better be, you better be killing it. Because a lot of women out there are like, yeah, I don't like his hair. He doesn't have any hair. I mean, this was the George Costanza thing back in the day. There is no equivalent for women of the short bald man. And this ties in on your point about the whole dating app world has created an artificial worldview. Buck. I've been talking about this. I can't get over it. There are tons of successful women out there who are choosing because they can't find a man. They are going to sperm donors and they're flipping through, just picking a non actual human. Right. That they're going to interact with to have a baby with. The person is a human, but they're never going to interact with him based solely on the data on the page. Like, hey, he got a 1500 on the SAT and he went to Yale and he's six two and he's got blue eyes and hair. That's my guy. And you never meet him because you're trying to create a version of a man that you can't meet in real life.

But also the height thing, is it diminishing returns to like do seven footers clean up?

[Clay Travis]

Yeah, I think it's a diminishing return. I think most women would say that the ideal height window is like six foot to six four. After six four you become too tall and awkward and gangly for them. They want like six foot to six four. This is me analyzing women. And then you get too tall. But to your point, I saw you tweet this and I do think it's the important, most important aspect here is it's the only thing, I guess baldness is the other height and baldness are the only thing you can judge someone for that they virtually have no control over. If a guy's like, hey, I was gonna date her, but she's fat, people would be like, oh, can you get a load of him? Like, if a guy on a dating app wrote no fat chicks, girls would be like, you can control your weight on some level. I was reading this morning the buck. They now have the. What's the peptides or whatever. The glue. The glue tides, whatever that thing is.

You see, Eli Lilly announced today they now have it in pill form. You're not even gonna have to inject yourself on that stuff anymore. You can just take a pill which will guarantee that you lose weight and eat less and everything else, but you can work to and change everything by and large, except for hair and except for height. And it's the things women care about.

Here's you, you've lined this up. I think that height is the most superficial metric that a person can care about. And yet all women have somehow become. And you know, all women have some. And I say all women. I know not all of you. Okay? Some of you are married to great guys who are five three and that's wonderful. But this has become a thing in our culture and I think this is my theory. It's because of we're all sort of metrics and online obsessed now. It's about social media. It's about posting your, you know, your boyfriend or your husband on Instagram and he towers over you. And like there's this sense of. Because I don't. I understand wanting a partner to be fit. I understand wanting a partner to be smart or to have an attractive face or you know, all that stuff. Of course, this is dating. This is mating. That's how it goes. But to be like, I mean there's actually a meme that was going. Or a little videos going around and it was of someone who's. Who's. I was like a woman and she's saying, you know, he's six four, criminal record, no problem, speaks no English, no problem. Like. And even the difference between I think it was 6:1 and 6:4 was like, you know, 6:1, I'll deal with your annoying. And I'll deal with an annoying mother in law. Like 6:1, I'll. But 6:4, you know, you may be an ax murderer, but I think we still have a drink. So are we crazy on this one? Let's take some calls from the ladies on this one. Do you agree with us or do you think this is. This is. Are you seeing this, those you have daughters or granddaughters too. Is, is it bigger among them than it was? Clay, you think about like a lot of the biggest actors. Five, eight, Tom Cruise, like five, seven, you know.

Yeah, but they, but they have women that make them look bigger than they are. So yes, it's true. Like Tom Cruise. Some of these guys are little. I think the best point you made is this is what the data shows. Like the anecdote doesn't really matter. I'm sure there are exceptions to the data, but it's actually quite clear that women are, I think, more judgmental of men's physical appearances than men actually are of women. I saw a funny meme yesterday too, by the way. On the same level. How much have you read Buck over the years about Barbie and unrealistic, you know, like physical expectations for women? You know, Barbie could. Have you ever seen an article about like he man or, or any number of basically Superman superheroes? You ever seen a story about how unrealistic he man's body type and like Superman's body type is and how it is so destructive to young men?

Well, no, because he man would have to be on massive doses of.

It's impossible to a large extent. Like Barbie's body is impossible. I've never seen anyone argue, oh, this is unfortunate for men. Like, how in the world can they get out of bed? We are deluged with responses after Buck shared the data, which is true, that women are horribly discriminating against short men. And if in fact, you wanted to talk about privilege, maybe number one, pretty privilege, maybe number two, height privilege, because I think it goes across race, gender. For men in particular, can you think of something where you'd be like, hey, what's more valuable than being six foot or taller? For men, I mean, obviously intelligence, I'm talking about just physical attributes. I think you probably go height, and for women, I think you probably go pretty. And those are probably the two biggest, best, most valuable assets. Now, for men, you could also say there are things you work for. Right? Wealth, both obviously factors in. Allie has been saying off air that she thinks this is just straight biology because historically women have wanted bigger men because they protect them better than smaller men do. And I think that's probably true on average. Not to say you can't be five, four and, you know, an incredible UFC fighter back in the day in the caveman era, but probably being 64 Goliath styles, probably a little bit more of an advantage.

Yeah. Yes, I said perhaps. It's interesting to see that a lot of women are actually, as we see the, the listeners weighing in on this one, they're like, look, I'm not, I'm not picky about a man's, A man's, you know, hair, a man's this, that. I don't need a six pack. I don't. But I do have a height requirement. So many women have a height requirement. This is what I mean.

I think it's perfect that what, what we were saying is your wife is five three minus five two. Both of them have told us they would not have dated us if we were five, eight.

Well, no. And that clearly we both just barely were tall enough for the amusement park ride.

I do. There is no male equivalent to this. There is no male equivalent, I don't think, to women's height. Again, because women, men like tall women, short women, big women, small women. Like, whatever you are, there is a man out there that will be in love with you. Like I said, I still love the idea.
