Producer Allie
I do a book for you to read to get ready for how to be a dad.
Producer Greg
Yeah, well, yeah, I, I think I'm good on the like once the kid can talk and you know, that dad part I'm very confident in. But the like, I don't know how to swaddle. You know, I don't know how to, how to make the milk. The right temper. The, you know, the, you know what I mean? Like, not that I make the milk, you know what I mean? Like I don't know how to do these things.
Clay Travis
You first logistics.
Producer Allie
You probably are never going to be able to do things like swaddle to your wife's specifications. I think that it's likely that she's going to be. That she's going to be fighting much of your decision.
Producer Greg
See what happens when I try to load the dishwasher?
Producer Allie
Yeah, of course.
Producer Greg
I thought I was fine at loading the dishwasher all these years. Apparently not. Apparently not. And I don't ever know is it.
Matt Stillo
Worse to try to load the dishwasher.
Producer Greg
Improperly or to just be like fine, I'm not going to. You're in a tough spot as husband, I will tell you this.
Producer Allie
I will just. I'm going to probably get myself in trouble here. I've been married 20 going on 21 years now. I don't ever think our house has actually been messy. And my wife is going to say that's because she does an incredible job of cleaning. But I think that male female standards for filth and garbage and, like, to your point, like, how to load DishWashers, it's just two different universes. So I. I like a lot of the things that are considered to be a mess in. I don't think it's just me. I think that most men listening to me right now do not see messes in the same way that women see messes. And I don't know. Like, I've even thought about this on, like, a larger biological scale, why there has to be a massive benefit, honestly, for human survival to women in general being much more focused on cleanliness than men are. Right. Like, that we benefit as men and live longer than we otherwise would if basically the wallowing in the filth that we would create otherwise. But I think a huge part of it is, like, the frat guys living in the frat house don't think that the frat house is anywhere near as disgusting as the girls living in the sorority houses who walk in. And. And. And frankly, I just think it's totally biological.
Producer Greg
Well, I also think that there is. And maybe this. You know, I don't know if this is going to sound sexist or anything, but I don't really care.
Producer Allie
Probably is if your prelude is. I don't know if this is going to sound. When have you ever heard somebody say, I don't know this is going to sound sexist? And then it's totally not sexist at all. Probably almost never. So I'm glad I'm saying this is probably going to be sexist.
Producer Greg
I just think that for the guys out there, we tend to prioritize efficiency, and the ladies tend to focus more on aesthetic. Like, I want things to be easy around the house and accessible and, you know, not to spend time and, you know, the lady of the house wants things to look and smell a certain way. It's just a little different. And this is where we get to. Also, I find that separating laundry is a waste of time. I just. I do my own laundry, by the way, and I just throw my laundry in there. And she says, well, your. Your colors are not as colorful as they should be, and you're like. Your whites look like they're blue. And to this I just say, but think of how much time I save in my life not separating out my laundry. I don't have many white. I don't have any, like, white sweaters or white T shirts really. I've got maybe one or two. So I go for efficiency, but. But then when we walk around, she's like, that's a nice off white slash blue slash gray T shirt you're wearing now.
Producer Allie
You're just bringing as many colors as you can. The rainbow. I will. We're going to be joined, by the way, when we come back. Governor of Louisiana has pushed us back to this next segment, so he will be with us when we come back. In the meantime, Buck is going to be tacked. Dragged out for his incredibly sexist commentary. I can't believe it. I think I got an email complaining about something you said the other day, by the way. I have no idea what it was really.
Producer Greg
Usually I'm supposed to be the school.
Producer Allie
So this is funny.
Producer Greg
Apparently you're supposed to be the school mom for me now.
Producer Allie
I know. And, man, there's no telling how much deluge we're gonna get from this Sunday hang with Clay and Buck, you guys, by the way, using the talkback function, Dell losing the show. A lot of different funny ones out there. I wanted to hit this. Cami in Phoenix, she is. Says she's been married 34 years, but she thinks it's important for everybody to understand this.
Caller
So I want you to know that I've been married for almost 34 years and my husband still can't load the dishwasher. I have to go behind him and load it correctly.
Producer Allie
There you go, Buck. So you've got a lot of time to get it right.
Producer Greg
I, you know, I just. Here's my thing. I think that you load them in as fast as you can, and then you just turn the little machine on. And then if you need to rearrange it afterwards because something still has some, you know, some steak juice on the side of the ramekin or whatever, you know, you're running again. I don't know. I don't think it has to. I don't like the perfect to be the enemy of the good when it comes to home. I don't know, home economics, whatever you'd call it. Like, I think you just got to get it done. You know, I'm all about lining them up and knocking them down. Carrie is very precise with how she accepts the dishwasher to be loaded. And I am trying to learn, but I don't. I don't. I feel like I'm not learning somehow. Clay. I don't know. Maybe this is just a philosophical Difference.
Producer Allie
It is the case that you are not learning because there are some things that I don't think husbands are meant to learn. This is just not going to be your sphere of influence. And as you are married longer, you will come to find that there is no sphere of influence that is actually inside of the house that is designed for you. Perhaps a garage, maybe some small portion of the house where you may have a television, where you refrigerator by you or something like that. That can be your universe. Now I have a great home studio to my wife's credit. We moved into this house a decade ago and she basically just doesn't even want to worry about what the upstairs looks like. Where I am probably better because it's a mess and it's particularly scattershot. So that is. That is the process that is underway. I wanted to ask you this question. Buck, you saw and I bet a huge percentage of our audience that did the and I actually want to hear from producer Allie what she thinks about this. Bill Belichick is 70 some odd years old. He has roughly a 25 year old girlfriend. She wore producer Ali come up because I need to and you can share if you want to go see the picture. It's basically all over the Internet. I'm sure a lot of you have seen this.
Caller
Oh, I saw the picture.
Producer Allie
Okay. Ali, this dress we talked about, Lauren Sanchez's dress. Do you know what Bill Belichick's girlfriend is saying her dress was inspired by? She has now responded to all of the attention lot. But how would you even describe the dress for people out there who didn't see it? Ali?
Caller
It was like a cover up at the beach.
Producer Allie
Oh, so it was like if you're wearing a bikini and basically that's not a bad description at all. And you're like, hey, I don't want to walk around in my bikini like up, you know, going into a store by the beach, like you would just kind of throw over a cover up. That's what her dress was for. The red carpet last night where they're giving out the NFL awards 100% it.
Caller
Was it trying to be nice about it. I don't know.
Producer Greg
I thought it was fashionable. I thought it was fashionable. I don't know. We needed. We're not all the deans of the high school.
Caller
That's true, that dress code.
Producer Allie
But she says it was inspired by the Lombardi trophy, which is what the team that wins the super bowl gets. Now I'm going to be honest with you. I missed the inspiration and I, I guess it's somewhat of a similar color. And I asked this question and I. Did we have any man who has ever admitted to doing this? I asked the question after the Lauren Sanchez outfit that she wore to the inauguration. Is there any man listening to us right now that has ever told his wife, yeah, that's the wrong outfit to wear to this and asked her to change? I don't. Producer Greg, I don't think we got a single man out there who has. Who has ever successfully told his wife, hey, that's the wrong. You can't wear that. That's the wrong outfit to wear to this. Now, women do this to men all the time. I don't. Did we get any email? I don't think we got a single guy who was like, yeah, I've done that. Because men feel like we'd be picking a fight if we did it. What do you think, Buck? Have you ever taken. Because you dated for like 20 years in New York City, did you ever take a woman to a formal event or something that, like, was like this and think, oh, man, I don't know that she should be wearing that? Did you ever have that thought go like, what would you have thought?
Producer Greg
I think when you're a young single guy, you'd consider that to be a high class problem. It's like, whoa, that's too spicy for this event. Like, I don't think. If anything, I think a lot of. A lot of my time in single world was more in the other direction, where I was like, you know, it's not like we're going to an Amish convention. Like, you could probably, you know, spice it up a little bit. Just saying, you know, I tended not to have people that were dressed very provocatively here, by the way, you know.
Producer Allie
You dress to draw attention. When Snoop Dogg the rapper made a joke about what the. The girlfriend and Bellich looked like together. This was last night at NFL honors. This is when. When a rapper is like, what in the world are you doing? You probably have made some interesting life choices here. Was that last night?
Listener
It's an honor to be hosting this because I've been a football fan for a long, long time. I mean, I remember back when the Cowboys was good. I remember back when the Chiefs was bad. And I remember. What was it? Bill Belichick's girlfriend wasn't even born yet.
Clay Travis
That's pretty good.
Producer Allie
That's pretty good. His girlfriend wasn't born buck until 2000. That is like, when you're in your 70s. 2. I guarantee you 2000 does not feel very long ago. And I can't stop thinking every time I see a picture of the two of them, what in the world her.
Producer Greg
Dad thinks, you know, she. Well, she's gonna be. She's famous now.
Producer Allie
Yeah.
Producer Greg
So she's clearly getting a lot, a lot of, of professional value out of this. She's now known she could probably launch a brand of, you know, essential oils and you know, do what, you know, whatever, like sort of famous, you know, red carpet eye candy do these days. And so I get the play. How long was Belichick married before this?
Producer Allie
I think he was married for like 30 years. But he's been divorced for a while, I think. I think he's been divorced for a while. And he has kids.
Producer Greg
He must have kids, right?
Producer Allie
Oh, he's got kids older than her.
Producer Greg
Yeah, I was gonna say, I bet his kids are older than his girlfriend.
Producer Allie
Yes.
Producer Greg
Which must be interesting.
Producer Allie
Gotta be a great holiday. Gotta be a really interesting Thanksgiving.

Clay Travis
You know, I may have been out.
Producer Allie
A little bit late last night. I may have had a few drinks down on the Bourbon street environs. Let me also mention this, by the way, really impressive show of security as we get ready for the super bowl to be taking place in this city. But remember, it was only a month ago. As I was walking around last night, I was thinking about this and certainly I know Fox Sports for carrying the super bowl is thinking a lot about it. Isn't it amazing sometimes how stories can vanish? We had a terrorist kill 14 people on Bourbon street just about a month ago and there's almost no discussion about it at all. Meanwhile, Democrats keep dragging Jan.6 around four years plus later as if it is a story that has to be talked about every single day. And I just think, and I know it's going to be a big part of the super bowl, but I would hope that many of you out there would think about the 14 people who lost their lives because of a deranged terrorist that decided to drive down Bourbon street right after New Year's. Almost all of them young, all different backgrounds, their whole lives in front of them. And I know Fox is going to do a really good job telling their stories as part of the super bowl pregame. But in this city, Buck, I was saying walking around last night, the amount of security is very impressive. They are. And we're going to talk to Louisiana's governor tomorrow about this. But they are doing everything they can to ensure that this comes off safely. But this morning, Buck, do you know what I needed after maybe a few adult beverages? Last night, as I was getting ready and prepped, I needed some Crockett coffee. And I actually traveled with my own couple of K cups of Crockett coffee. And I've got the little Keurig in my hotel room here. And so when I woke up this morning, I popped the Crockett coffee. And I would encourage all of you right before I left to come down here for the Super Bowl, I signed over 100 books. They are going out. If you use code book when you go to crockett coffee.com, you will be getting an autographed copy of my book signed by my own hand. And you'll be getting to sample some of the greatest coffee in America for a company that believes that American history is a phenomenal thing. And there's a lot of American history down here in New Orleans. Cool city to walk around and be able to experience. And I hope all of you will dive into crockettcoffee.com and check it out. Indeed. Buck, do you know why Tennessee is the Volunteer State? Because we sent so many people to New Orleans for the Battle of New Orleans and then also to fight for Texan independence in the 1836. Including Sam Houston, Davy Crockett and others.
Producer Greg
Yep. War of 1812, Tennessee. A long and storied history of patriotism and answering the call. I think it's time for them to do a great. First of all, has there ever been a great Davy Crockett movie?
Producer Allie
They did the television show with Fess Parker back in the day. I think that they're the member the argument I made, like maybe in the first six months of this show, I'm going to continue to argue the best story that has never been done and somebody's going to do it and then it's going to win.
Producer Greg
Like everything Undaunted.
Producer Allie
Lois and Clark tell us the Louis just do space Lois. Lewis and Clark. Lois and Clark would be a very different.
Producer Greg
That'd be a very different show.
Producer Allie
Lewis and Clark do spend $100 million. One of these streaming companies, Netflix, Apple, Amazon, just read Undaunted Courage do an incredible multi year streaming series on Lewis and Clark. It will be the most popular show in America. If you do it well. It's my gift to everyone but Buck. I think the Alamo and everything that had to do with Sam Houston, the entire Texan War in 1836 would do, I think, really well. I'm a Civil War history nerd. It's been a long time since the Ken Burns documentary sort of captivated the nation. I think there's a desperate hunger for positive stories about American history because for the last decade we've heard America's an awful place. It's founded on slavery. There's no moral authority here. It's a disgrace. There are negative stories, certainly, but the story of America is actually an incredibly optimistic one. And I think there is an opportunity for a lot of great stories to be told from American history that a lot of people don't know. Because unfortunately, we are a profoundly, historically illiterate country, which is why I think we were able to be manipulated so easily by stories like the 1619 Project that all of these big media companies got behind to make people feel awful about their country. And by the way, we mentioned this yesterday. Cause we were talking with or two days ago, or maybe it was yesterday, Sean Pornell, when we had him on yesterday, I guess not getting a lot of attention. Record signups in December and January for our armed forces.
Advertiser
Yes.
Producer Allie
I don't think it's coincidental that Trump won. And a lot of young men are feeling particularly great women too. But young men who voted for Trump overwhelmingly and want to go serve their country now, I think that's a great sign of American optimism returning.
Producer Greg
I think there are so many signs of optimism right now. And it's apparent to people such that it's very hard for the Democrats to come up with with a counter narrative. What is it? What, you know, what they never say, man, if we could just return to the four years of Biden, because I know they feel that way because their people were in power, but that's not a compelling story for them because it hasn't been very long and already so many of the things that we are seeing, whether it is on the border, on the transports issue, on government waste, fraud and abuse, these are issues that an overwhelming majority of the American people are with this administration on. And there are no issues like that the Democrats can point to and say, oh, if only we were in charge. So I think that's something to be very pleased about. But yes, go to crocketcoffee.com please subscribe.
