Lisa Booth
Welcome to the Truth with Lisa Booth where we cut through the noise to try to get to the heart of what matters. So today I'm going to scare you. I'm actually going to scare the crap out of you because they're coming for you. We're diving into a chilling expose with former congressman and my FOX News colleague and friend Jason Shafetz, who is also oversight chairman, about his new book, they're coming for you. How deep state spies, NGOs and woke corporations plan to punish you for your politics. Now, a lot of us thought because we won 2024, the presidential election, we won Congress, that we were good to go, that we were safe. Well, Jason says not so fast. He reveals how a shadowy alliance of government insiders, big tech and activist organizations, that they're working to silence us conservatives, weaponizing our institutions against US Data gathering as well and also using the government to try to control future elections. So we're going to dig into some of this AI driven surveillance and manipulative algorithms that he's talking about in his book and pulling the curtain back on all these threats to our freedom and what we can do to fight back. So buckle up for this scary but important conversation with my friend and colleague Jason Shaffetz. Jason Chaffetz, it's great to have you on the show again, my friend. Always great to be on with you and looking forward to digging into your new book.
Jason Chaffetz
Well, thank you. It's always good to be with you. And I wish I was with you in person, but this is the next best thing.
Lisa Booth
It is the next best thing. So I didn't really. So you were three time New York Times bestselling author. Yeah.
Jason Chaffetz
Can you believe that?
Lisa Booth
Oh my gosh, I can't.
Jason Chaffetz
But I'm sorry, I never thought I'd write a book. And this is my fifth book and I, I love this one though, because, you know, it takes a long time. Took a year and a half, almost two years to put this together. It's got 450 footnotes. But you know, that's why it makes it a book worth reading, I hope.
Lisa Booth
And obviously I meant that you're very, very intelligent. You've served in Congress. We've worked together numerous. Wait a second, I'm. Three times is a lot, though. That's like. That's really impressive. I didn't realize that.
Jason Chaffetz
That's.
Lisa Booth
That's a big deal. You're kind of a big deal, Jason.
Jason Chaffetz
Let's all understand that you shouldn't say, well, you're intelligent and you're in Congress. That does not usually flow sentence together.
Lisa Booth
And those two things don't always overlap with you. They do so well.
Jason Chaffetz
Thank you. I served there for eight and a half years, and there are a lot of idiots there, I can tell you that. I have no doubt. And I could prove my thesis on that one.
Lisa Booth
If you had to give a percentage. What percentage are idiots?
Jason Chaffetz
It's like a third. A third? A third is the way I know it really is. You got a third of people who, who work hard, they work smart, they're there for all the right reasons. They're not out carousing. You know, just. Then you got another third of them that are out, and they just. They're in the power. They just want the power, but they couldn't tell you policy to save their lives. And then the other third, they're just kind of. I have nothing else to do. You know, I got elected and I'm still here. And by golly, it's kind of fun to wear this pin, but they're just like doing nothing. And it's so true. Like, there's this story and it. I was told this before I got to Congress, and it's so true. When you get there, you're about six months in, and every day you walk on the floor and you think, how did I get here? This is unbelievable. Like, this amazing what's going on here. But about six months in, Lisa, you look around and you start to say, now, how did they all get here? Because did anybody ever meet this person? They're an idiot.
Lisa Booth
Well, well, I think that we have, you know, like Jasmine Crockett comes to mind. You know, afc, there are some that just sort of immediately pop up in the thought bubble, but. So your book is scary, Jason. They're coming for you. How the deep state spies, NGOs and woke corporations plan to punish you for your politics. This is a scary book. So thanks a lot for scaring us, but. So we think we win the 2024 election, which we did, thank God. And so we finally breathe a sigh of relief that, you know, the country is turning back the common sense that, you know, we won. But you say not so fast that Democrats are still working behind the scenes. Walk us through that. And why, even though, you know, it's nice to be in power, why we're not necessarily fully in power.
Jason Chaffetz
Well, I think what happened was particularly like my frame of reference is Barack Obama. I was elected same time as he was. But I think what the Democrats, particularly Obama, had figured out is that legislating and changing things was really hard. It's really difficult and it wasn't popular with the American people. And so what they did is they just loaded up the piggy bank and started flushing all this money to these corporations and to these deep state spies and to these NGOs, non government organizations. And then they could do what the government couldn't do. And that's what Doge was all about. Right. Doge went in by the hundreds of billions of dollars and identified the waste that was going out the door and how it was funding these groups for nefarious activities weren't conducive to what Congress and the president and others had laid out. And if they were exposed, they would be wildly unpopular, if not illegal. And then what my book really kind of. So think, Elon, and think of all the money. Okay. They're coming for you really dives deep into the data because that's what scares me is they have so much data about what you're doing and how you're doing it. So, like you'll go online and you're happy to trade, you know, hey, you can follow me or I'll follow your app and you know, yeah, you'll send me ads and you can. It's much, much deeper than that. The government is buying and selling your data. And it, I mean, there's so much to this. That's why I had to write a book. Because the data that is flowing never goes away. And they can use that to manipulate you in such a way. Even in this, even it literally in the last 24 hours, the federal Reserve said that they're going to stop for remarkably, they're going to stop profiling people based on their political persuasion to defend, to determine what kind of credit score you should get. I mean, it's that detailed. And it is very scary when you dive in deep in under the hood.
Lisa Booth
Well, and particularly when you look at something like the irs. Right. Which has come under scrutiny numerous times, you know, particularly during the Obama years and the targeting of the Tea Party how is the RS or the IRS weaponizing, like, artificial intelligence and monitoring us for political beliefs?
Jason Chaffetz
I mean, when I was in Congress, we did hearings. They had what were called stingrays. Stingrays and simulated cell phone tower. And they had a couple of these. Like, why would you need more than one? You're the irs. And what they're doing is they're building a profile so they can literally, either on an airplane or in a vehicle, and they'll capture all of the data of all the phones that are within this certain radius, and that'll tell you a lot about what's going on. Who's at a protest, maybe who's going to cancer clinic, maybe who's going to an AA meeting. Maybe you don't know. And that's the point. But they keep filling the bucket, and they combine this with facial recognition. And so we detail the companies and the organizations, and then we tie it back to what, for instance, the FBI was doing. And I actually held the hearing about this when I was in Congress, but I didn't see the fuller picture of how they were traversing this chasm that they would never be able to do legally. So, for instance, Lisa Booth. I want to go dive deeper and find out something about you. Well, you'd have to go get a warrant. But they bypass all of that by tapping into private companies who own all the data about Lisa Booth. But it gets worse than that, because the government, for instance, there are states out there, like Florida, where in the past they have. When you go to get your driver's license, think of all your information. Name, date of birth, hair color, weight, height, all of that. Does she wear glasses? Not wear glasses. And they sell that to a data broker, and they make money from it.
Lisa Booth
So, like, what do they want to do with that data?
Jason Chaffetz
So it's what they've started to do. The nefarious left, the Democrats are doing. You know, there's a. There's a part of the book that says this is how they deal with it in China. Okay? And that's where we're coming to here. I think there's 700 million CCTV cameras in China. Every time you move somewhere, and they're checking your gait, they're checking your eyes, they're checking your face, and they want to be able to see where you are and what you're doing. And the worst part about it is they then want to limit where you're going, what you're doing. So what rates you pay for insurance, whether or not you can get health care. Insurance, whether you are more apt to do this or that. And the debanking is very real. I mean, they even went after Melania and Barron Trump and said no. So like, if we found out that Lisa Booth was a gun owner, I am well, remember, he had Operation Choke Point with Barack Obama. And if you and there are key words. If you search the word Cabela's or Dick's sporting Goods or Constitution, there were other key words, like if you were a maga pro American, love your country, love the flag, you are on a highlight list where you may not pass your credit score, you may not be able to get a loan, you may not be able to get into college, you may not be able to and that is happening in real time. Even the Federal Reserve was involved and engaged in this. And but the debanking and not allowing you to participate in the public square or pay higher rates is just so fundamentally wrong.

How much of President Trump winning slows that down? Or is that just or inevitable future? Like is it possible to put the genie back in the bottle or is the, you know, is the genie out?
Jason Chaffetz
Well, I think Donald Trump certainly slows it down. I think people recognize that conservatives are catching up to it. But the data that is out there already, particularly for young person, like we detail in large part, like you have kids that go to these schools and you think, oh hey, Google will just give you a computer. How nice. Isn't that nice that Johnny has a computer? Well, guess who gets to keep all that data? I mean, in California, they're spending a lot of money for what are called community schools and they're collecting everything they want. You soup to nuts, start to bottom where you get your haircut, who cuts your hair, what style of haircut. I mean, all of that is captured into this data profile and it's hard to put it back in the genie, back in the bottle. We go into what goes on in your automobile. You may think, you know, basically automobiles today are rolling computers and the, the amount of data that is collected about you, your habits and what you're doing is going to be used against you. And it shouldn't be. It should be. You should have a, a basic right of privacy. Trump understands that. But Ooh it's, it's getting to be a scary, scary world when you combine in deep fakes, artificial intelligence, all of those types of things.
Lisa Booth
Mine's a lot of sinus issues right now, so that would be fun information, because I just had a sinus procedure done because basically I found out, like, I've been able to breathe for two months. So it's like, it's like a lot about snot, really fun things. So I hope they're enjoying collecting that.
Jason Chaffetz
Lisa Booth up close and personal.
Lisa Booth
Exactly. Why can't I breathe? Hopefully. Yeah.
Jason Chaffetz
Let me give you another example. The climate groups really went after meat and dairy. They, they believed that cows create flatulence and the flatulence is just destroying the earth. They don't want cows to even be on the planet, let alone they can't fart in peace. Exactly that. Your snot reminded me of this. So. But what they did is they had 105 groups signing this letter because they were starting to be debanked. And how do you participate in today's community, electronic community, with transferring of funds, using a credit card, even writing a check if you can't have a banking relationship? I mean, they, so they go after that. So they've been going after meat and dairy, they go after Trump supporters, they go after firearms, they've gone after Christians. They certainly went after January 6th. Anything that might have a reputational risk was what the Federal Reserve, although they're starting to back off again, I don't think that happens without, without Trump. And it's, it's pretty scary how many times they do that.
Lisa Booth
Like, how early does this information gathering begin? Is it like with kids as well, or, you know, what can you tell us about that?
Jason Chaffetz
Yeah, as soon as you're, as soon as you're born, there's a record. But, you know, in, and in America, we don't collect your DNA, we don't collect your fingerprints. It would be easy enough to do, but you're supposed to, as a suspicionless American, be able to have this right to privacy. This bypasses all of that and just negates it. And the government could never do it by itself. That's why they send out the money. That's why they sell the data. They sell the data, then they buy it. And that's what your, today, your law enforcement and your regulatory bodies are doing at the federal and state level. And that in the moment, you start as a kid, in some schools, they give you a quote, unquote free computer. But the real question is, who collects all that data because it's not only what you're typing into your computer, you also have video chat and you have pictures and you have all of that is being scraped. So we talk about this company, I'm not saying they did anything illegally, but Clearview AI has tens of billions of photos. So if you sign up for Venmo, if you sign up for Instagram, if you're on, on Snapchat, if you're on name your social media or name somewhere you put your, your picture out on the Internet, they're scraping that to build your profile and then they're matching that. And there are people out there. We go out to the absurd. People think it can tell whether you're gay or straight. And they'll be like 80 to 90% correct just based on a variety of factors. And then they have who's of certain political persuasions. And so then you look at what the government does with that. And we talk about Executive Order 14019. This is what Joe Biden did where they directed the federal government to help register to get people to vote. And they took these profiles to get so that they're almost all Democrats. That's how they turned out the vote, using your federal taxpayer dollars.
Lisa Booth
So talk about that. The Executive Order 14019 and voter mobilization. Kind of walk us through how Democrats turned some of these federal agencies into voter mobilization tools for themselves.
Jason Chaffetz
Yeah, what they did was literally days after Joe Biden was sworn in, he put out this executive order. They had a meeting, in fact, the first chapter, first thing we talk about is this meeting. And they brought in these outside groups and they started talking about key buzzwords that nobody would disagree with. You know, we want everybody to vote. We wanted people to have access to voting. But what they did was much more nefarious. And we lay this out in detail in the they're coming for you book because they, they took Housing and Urban Development, they took the Department of Commerce, for instance, and they were in the Small Business Administration really bad examples that we highlight in Michigan where they didn't go into neutral. You know, they, they, they went into areas with a high propensity of voters that are most likely to vote for Democrats and that' had these changes and these fares and they were taking government employees on government time and they were walking around registering people to vote. Now to do that and exclude the Republican areas and exclude that, it's just so wrong. It's not what the federal government was doing. So they spent an untold millions of dollars doing it. They leveraged the physical facilities and the people of the federal government. And it has an effect and it still needs to be further explored. But that was a very real scenario.
Lisa Booth
So what is the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency? What was the original purpose and what was it repurposed to do?
Jason Chaffetz
I mean, it sounds like something we need, right? Everything from water treatment plants to dams to electrical facilities, we have to be able to protect those. Right. But again, these things morph into something that benefits one side politically and not the other side. And so this is one of those departments and agencies where again, they try to continue to dive in and grab information and then share it and sell it.
Lisa Booth
We've got to take a quick commercial break, but we've got more with Jason. If you like what you're hearing, share it on social media or maybe send it to a friend. Stay tuned.

I think one thing we learned with Doge, but you didn't learn this. You've known this is how much of like a money laundering scheme it is for the left. Even looking at Stacey Abrams, who did she ever concede losing? She probably still thinks she's, you know, the governor. Yeah, but I think it was like $2 billion, right, that her group received from Biden's EPA and like it had been around for like six months and hadn't done anything. So like what you know, tell us about that and like how you know, tell us about These like, kind of like the web of partnerships between the government and these NGOs and the political left.
Jason Chaffetz
I think what was scary is that in 2020, for the 2025 budget, remember this is at the end of the Biden administration, even though it's, you know, back in 24, they're asking for 25. Remember when Joe Biden asked for an additional, this is additional $104 billion for the IRS. That massive weaponization of the IRS, that was eight times its regular annual budget. That's what they wanted to do. It was just, you know, that was one group after another where they went after people in a, in a huge, huge way there. That's happening at the local level. They're giving it out from. They're targeting people that are Christians. You know, we have this example, for instance, Kamala Harris and Senator Hirono going after the Knights of Columbus judges. These are judges who, you know, were part of the Knights of Columbus. Well, they have 1.5 million members and they just thought they would put a religious litmus test on people. And then how they hired. The other thing is, Lisa, it's like how they hired. It wasn't just dei, but like we have this example in the book of Denver Public Schools. One of their criteria was that they have to hire somebody who has an anti racist mindset. So when they plus up all this money that goes to the Department of Education, then it goes out there. There's some expectations that they're going to be, quote, unquote, hiring the right people. And that's. It's just unbelievable. I mean, there's a lot of examples in the book on how they go after the education market to try to manipulate them.
Lisa Booth
Do we still have civil liberties?
Jason Chaffetz
What we're losing is a right to privacy. If you don't have privacy, you've lost your ability to have the full array of liberties at your disposal. Because I think if you're a suspicionless American and you walk out your door, you shouldn't feel like you're being tracked in your every move from the moment you get in your car to the time you go into the grocery store, to the time you look on your phone to you are building so much data at every moment. It really is. It really is scary.
Lisa Booth
Well, I mean, you look at, you know, Tulsi Gabbard, who was placed on a watch list.
Jason Chaffetz
Yeah.
Lisa Booth
For Right. For overseas travel. And she is, I think is still a reservist in the military and she.
Jason Chaffetz
Was a member of Congress and she was being tracked. She was being excluded. And we have examples. I think Tom McClintock, the congressman out of California, was, was put into this category. They work so hard. You know, I guess one way, Lisa, to kind of describe this is if we just thought the deep state was going to roll over and accept that Donald Trump won the election. No, they didn't. They're not just going to roll over. They're going to use this data and they're going to continue to manipulate, to play the long ball game, to try to turn and manipulate people to the point they don't even understand. Because I think a lot of people say, yeah, I got to give up a little privacy. I don't do anything wrong. What do I care? You know, it's helpful to me. And if I want to go find my local, you know, in my case, place that sells cheeseburgers, in your case, you know, let local fitness gym. I'm willing.

I do both.
Lisa Booth
I'm all about balance.
Jason Chaffetz
Good point. But yeah, that, that's perhaps. Let me give you an example of something that was one of the most nefarious things that we found. It's called Vote er. And what they decided to do is this doctor created a non government organization and they wanted to recruit doctors to do voter registration. And we detail this in the book. They're coming for you. I know I'm trying to sell a book, but it's like when I see something in all my oversight roles, I want everybody else to see it too, because I think everybody would be equally outraged. That's why I want you to buy the book or listen to a book. But this doctor, Alastair Martin, he sent out an array of doctors. There is something like 65,000 text messages that was out there to not only kill legislation, but they were. What we found is this Vote ER was being funded by the Tides foundation, the Open Society Foundation, Billing Melinda Gates foundation. And they ended up getting 50,000 physicians in 700 hospitals. Even people who cognitively could not make decisions, who were mentally impaired. They even targeted psychiatric patients who were considered a danger to themselves. And they got them to register to vote. And in many cases the allegation is help them to vote. So imagine there, you're on your deathbed, your doctor comes and says, why don't you sign this form? Or have you voted yet? I mean, it's just unbelievable. They created, they created software to do it. And it literally. I'm just kind of reading through my notes this thing called EPIC system software. Okay, the doctors record in your chart the status of whether or not they voted. Nothing scary about that.

How much did Covid accelerate sort of our march to being more like China with all this stuff?
Jason Chaffetz
I think it personally, we didn't tackle that head on. That's a great question, Lisa. I think for some people like you and me, it probably made us even more resolute that we've been lied to by our federal government, and I don't trust them. It's like I've lost almost 30 pounds over the last year and a half, and I sit back and look at it. I think I have been lied to by my federal government.

It.
Jason Chaffetz
My whole life, I took that food pyramid seriously. If I didn't have. And I can't remember what the right number was. 11 Bowls of grains and cereals. I felt like I was falling short, so I had to have two bowls of cereal before I went to bed. And then, you know, carbs and bread and eat more bread. I mean, that was my. That was the whole mission. I heard my whole life. But since COVID since the food pyramid, since I just, like, I don't trust the federal government. I just don't trust them. Now on the other side, you got people who are so, oh, we have to do exactly what they say. They're the experts. And then there's the people in the middle who are like, yeah, I'm still here. Life's good. But I think the world is much more cognizant of their government manipulating them in an evil way.
Lisa Booth
No, my. My tinfoil hat has gotten a lot bigger over the years, particularly since COVID and now it's. It's massive. Well, Jason, you've convinced me that they're coming for me, and you've officially scared the crap out of me. But this is really important information to get to light. So thank you for scaring me, and thank you for staring the audience, and thank you for putting in the research to get this book together.
Jason Chaffetz
Well, thank you, Lisa. I appreciate it. And I look forward to seeing you soon, snot and all.
Lisa Booth
Hopefully that won't be a part of the equation.
Jason Chaffetz
Let's solve that problem. Okay.

The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show: The Truth with Lisa Booth – "They're Coming For You!" with Jason Chaffetz
Release Date: July 1, 2025
In this riveting episode of The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, host Lisa Booth delves deep into the alarming revelations presented in Jason Chaffetz’s new book, “They’re Coming For You! How Deep State Spies, NGOs, and Woke Corporations Plan to Punish You for Your Politics.” Hosted on iHeartPodcasts, this episode promises a chilling exposé on the covert efforts to undermine conservative values in the United States.
Lisa Booth opens the conversation by introducing Jason Chaffetz, a former congressman and a three-time New York Times bestselling author. Chaffetz discusses the laborious process behind his fifth book, emphasizing its comprehensive research, including “450 footnotes” (04:53).
Jason Chaffetz: “I never thought I'd write a book. This is my fifth book, and it took almost two years to put together.”
Despite the apparent victory in the 2024 elections, Chaffetz warns that the battle is far from over. He argues that Democrats have embedded powerful mechanisms to suppress conservative voices and maintain control.
Jason Chaffetz: “We thought we were safe after winning, but the Democrats are working behind the scenes to silence us.”
Chaffetz elaborates on the collaboration between government insiders, big tech, and activist organizations to gather and exploit data against conservatives. He highlights the extensive use of AI-driven surveillance and manipulative algorithms designed to monitor and control political activities.
Jason Chaffetz: “They have so much data about what you're doing and how you're doing it. The government is buying and selling your data, which they use to manipulate you.”
A significant portion of the discussion centers on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and its role in profiling individuals based on political beliefs. Chaffetz reveals how advanced surveillance tools like stingrays and facial recognition are employed to build detailed profiles of citizens.
Jason Chaffetz: “The IRS is building profiles to determine credit scores based on your political persuasion. It’s that detailed and very scary.”
Chaffetz discusses Executive Order 14019, issued by President Joe Biden, which repurposed federal agencies for voter mobilization efforts. He explains how this order facilitated targeted voter registration in predominantly Democratic areas, undermining the neutrality of federal institutions.
Jason Chaffetz: “They took federal agencies and turned them into voter mobilization tools, targeting areas likely to support Democrats.”
The conversation shifts to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), originally intended to protect critical infrastructure. Chaffetz contends that CISA has been repurposed to serve political ends, furthering the agenda of suppressing conservative voices.
Jason Chaffetz: “CISA was meant to protect our infrastructure, but it has morphed into a tool that benefits one side politically.”
Chaffetz reflects on how the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated government overreach and eroded public trust. He shares personal anecdotes about losing trust in federal guidelines, highlighting a broader societal shift towards skepticism of government intentions.
Jason Chaffetz: “Since COVID, I don’t trust the federal government. They manipulated us in ways we’re only now beginning to understand.”
The discussion includes specific examples of civil liberties being undermined, such as the targeting of public figures like Tulsi Gabbard and Tom McClintock. Chaffetz details how these individuals were surveilled and excluded from political processes.
Jason Chaffetz: “Tulsi Gabbard was placed on a watch list, and Tom McClintock faced scrutiny simply for his political stance.”
Chaffetz introduces VoteER, a non-governmental organization allegedly funded by prominent foundations like the Tides Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. This group reportedly coerces vulnerable populations, including mentally impaired individuals, into voter registration, thereby skewing electoral outcomes.
Jason Chaffetz: “VoteER sent out 65,000 text messages to register not only healthy individuals but also those who are cognitively impaired, manipulating voter registration.”
Wrapping up the conversation, Chaffetz emphasizes the critical need to reclaim privacy and civil liberties. He urges listeners to educate themselves on these covert operations through his book, aiming to galvanize conservative action against these pervasive threats.
Jason Chaffetz: “We are losing our right to privacy, which is fundamental to all other liberties. It’s scary, but awareness is the first step to resistance.”
Jason Chaffetz (05:53): “When you get there, every day you walk on the floor and think, how did I get here? Then six months in, you start to see how idiots got here.”
Jason Chaffetz (09:48): “They're building profiles so detailed they can determine your credit score based on political persuasion.”
Jason Chaffetz (16:19): “The data that is flowing never goes away. They can use that to manipulate you in ways you don’t even realize.”
This episode of The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show offers a sobering look into the covert mechanisms allegedly employed by deep state actors, NGOs, and corporations to suppress conservative ideologies. Through Jason Chaffetz’s detailed accounts and alarming insights, listeners are compelled to reconsider the state of privacy and political freedom in contemporary America. “They’re Coming For You!” serves as both a warning and a call to action to safeguard cherished civil liberties.
For those interested in exploring these critical issues further, Jason Chaffetz’s book provides an in-depth analysis and unearthing of the hidden forces at play.
