Tudor Dixon
Welcome to the Tudor Dixon Podcast. We are going to do a quick recap and breakdown of all the news from last week. Well, the most interesting news from last week, you may know that we had a hearing in Washington. It was a confirmation hearing for Senator Mark Wayne Mullen, who has been appointed as the new secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. He has to get through his confirmation. There were a few hot moments in that confirmation. One of them was coming from a Republican and Rand Paul. You know him as like the guy who never wants to pass a budget, doesn't negotiate on that. Like we're never spending money again, which is, I understand. But also we have to work as a body here. Apparently he's not a fan of Mark Wayne Mullen. Mark Wayne made a comment and I feel like if your name is Mark Wayne, you're kind of known for doing some little, a few outlandish things. But this is clearly a personal beef we've got here. So listen to Rand Paul get a little bit sad about Mark Wayne Saying
Rand Paul
something behind his back for refugee welfare programs. Instead of explaining your vote to continue these welfare programs for refugees, you decided to transfer the blame. You told the media that I was a freaking snake and that you completely understood why I had been assaulted. I was shocked that it would justify and celebrate this violent assault that caused me so much pain in my family. So much pain. I just wonder if someone who applauds violence against their political opponents is the right person to lead an agency that has struggled to accept limits to the proper use of force. You might argue you were mad and upset about being confronted by your constituents, Senator Mullen. Your constituents are justifiably upset with you. By now, most of America knows that the Somali welfare fraud in Minnesota stole over $9 billion. But instead of defending your vote, you took to continue the vote to continue these refugee welfare programs, you chose to lash out at me. You went on to brag that you'd already told me to my face that you completely understood and approved of the assault. Well, that's a lie. You got a chance today. You can either continue to lie or you can correct the record. You have never had the courage to look me in the eye and tell me that the assault was justified. So today you'll have your chance. Today I'll give you that chance to clear the record. Tell it to my face. If that's what you believe, tell it to me today. Tell the world why you believe I deserve to be assaulted from behind, have six ribs broken and a damaged lung. Tell me to my face why you think I deserved it.
Tudor Dixon
So to be clear, I obviously was horrified when this happened to Rand Paul years ago, and he says that this comment from the senator was just a few weeks ago. But this is a hearing about the Department of Homeland Security. We need people to be serious about what's going on. We have Democrats that are just complete radicals right now who won't do anything to make sure that we get the Department of Homeland Security back on track. And I just saw. Just before I came in, in here, I saw this line at the Houston airport to get in, and they said it was 150 minutes long. Slang goes through the entire airport. I mean, people are practically going to be standing outside if we don't get this department back on track. And you cannot tell me that there are truly Democrat senators out there who would look at you and say, you know what? I don't think we need TSA anymore. Or, I don't think we need the Coast Guard anymore. Forget about fema. We don't need it. Anymore. But essentially, you have to understand that that is what they are saying, because every time they go in and vote against this and they say they'll tell you, well, they won't make ICE agents wear masks, well, they voted to have ICE fully funded. Now, what they're voting against is making sure that we have Homeland Security Protection, making sure that we have people that are, are there to ensure you have safe people on your flight. So that are there in our Coast Guard, that are there to make sure there's emergency funding and people can go take care of disasters on the ground. If that happens at a time when we've just suffered tornadoes across the country, they are telling you they are not serious about funding. They're telling you they are not serious about this department. And for all of those senators out there that complain regularly about this department and say, we don't like how it was being handled and Donald Trump needs to make a change, this is the change. Let me bring you in on the big secret here. It's a new secretary. Totally different. Out with the old. Kristi Noem is not going to be the secretary after March, folks. We got to get a new one. So where is your beef? I'll tell you where Senator Slotkin's beef is. She is concerned about the past because, you know, heaven forbid she be concerned about the last week when somebody drove a car into a Jewish school, into Temple Israel, where There were almost 200 children with explosives firing a gun. Heaven forbid she be concerned about that. That's actually happening. There's a terror attack in her own state. Alyssa Slotkin had a terror attack in her own state. And I'm telling you, folks, this is just like a stone's throw from where she lives. It's not far. So you could say, oh, you know, she doesn't identify with part of the state, but this is her part. This is her part of the state. So that's baloney. So when she gets her chance to question the nominee, think about this. Alyssa Slotkin, who's been out there telling you she doesn't like ice and she's not funding DHS because she doesn't like ice, she has the chance to question the nominee who is going to replace the secretary. Because the president said, I hear you, I'm going to make a change. Not often does that happen. I have to say, there are not many presidents who go, you know what? Gotcha. I'm going to do something different. President Trump did. This is what Alyssa Slotkin used her time to talk about who won the 2020 election.
Mark Wayne Mullin
Ma', am, we know that President Joe Biden was sworn into office. He was president for the last four years. But I do believe my job as Department of Homeland Security Secretary will be to make sure that we assure that the elections are. Are fair and people can trust them.
Tudor Dixon
Does the federal government run the elections process or do states.
Mark Wayne Mullin
It's very clear in the Constitution that the states control state elections. And. And then there is some federal oversight that's on it, but the federal government can set some standards. So if you're talking about the Save American act requiring you. Which is within the Constitution, by the way, requiring individuals to be citizens of
Tudor Dixon
the United States, 2020 election. Senator Slotkin is a former CIA analyst. I know it's hard to tell because she seems a little slow there, but she was a former CIA analyst, and I'm telling you, I believe that's how she got elected. I think she Jedi mind tricked her way into getting elected in the state of Michigan because, you know, she makes it seem like she's a very moderate person, that she cares about the American people and that she wants to keep everybody safe. And let me tell you, the minute that happened at Temple Israel, she was out there literally walking out of a vote against DHS funding. She goes out and immediately gets in the spotlight with the, like, you know, she's dropping the tears on her face and she's like, I'm so devastated by this. No, you're not. No, shut your mouth. You are not devastated by. Or get your butt back in there and vote to protect this country, you liar. Do not. This woman is just full of beans. She is not. There is no truth to anything that she says. But she's. That's because she's, like, trained to be a junior spy, you know, so this junior spy is lying to the American people. And you know what? If the elections are not a problem, Senator, then why don't you just say that people have to use an id? I mean, she uses her ID to fly. Why is it such a big deal? In fact, maybe we should be concerned because I think that Senator Chuck Schumer and Senator Raphael Warnock actually, like, they kind of let the cat out of the bag that maybe they're not as secure as they should be. I think they accidentally did it. But here's a little clip of them this week trying to fight against the reasonable 8020 issue of having IDs when you vote.
Unknown Commentator on Voting
The core of the bill is handing the voter rolls over to dhs, putting them through an algorithm designed by Moj and Musk that supposedly knocks out illegal immigrants from voting. But the evidence is almost no illegal immigrants vote. 8.2 million people registered to vote. In Georgia, the Republican Secretary of state found 20 instances of non citizens who were registered, and only nine had ever attempted to vote, and the majority did so before 2012. This is a solution in search of a problem that does not exist.
Tudor Dixon
Oh, did you just say that there were actually illegal immigrants that came in and vote? Noncitizens that actually voted? Did you just say, oh, there's not that many? I mean, literally, this is the argument now, there's not that many? Well, we could say that same thing in Michigan. We've now found that we've had a few. We've found it. And let me be clear. We have found it because people have painstakingly tried to go through what exactly the Secretary of State has allowed in this state. We've found a few. Do you think it's just a few? I mean, generally, where there's smoke, there's fire. That's what I was always taught. And apparently Chuck Schumer sees that and Raphael Warnock sees that, but they're like, it's not enough smoke. Stop. Settle down. Why do we need IDs? That's ridiculous. Let's take a quick commercial break. We'll continue next on the Tudor Dixon Podcast.
Ben Ferguson
Hey, it's Ben Ferguson, and I want you to pause what you're doing for just one minute, and I want you to hear about Alejandro. She lives in a remote community with very few resources and little to no health care. So when Alejandra gets sick, her parents have no real options. No doctors in their community, and no money for real medical care. By the third day, her body was shutting down. She woke up and just long enough to tell her, mom, I can't take the pain anymore. I can't keep going. Her parents drove hours to find a doctor who tried everything. But she needed a private hospital, and that was impossible for her family to afford. And that is when Compassion International stepped in. Through Compassion, Alejandra was treated. And against all odds, she survived. She lived because someone just like you took action. Right now, unfortunately, there are children just like Alejandra who won't survive unless someone like you steps in. Compassion International partners with local churches, providing children with the support that they need. Critical medical care, plus food, education, and the hope of the gospel, all in Jesus name. So help a child just like Alejandra. Today you can visit compassion.com that's compassion.

they come from like this radical left where they absolutely don't want IDs. So you would say why? Why don't they want IDs? They're, they're just so loving. They're trying to make it easier for people to vote. But I mean, we all know that's not true. I'm telling you, it's an 8020 issue. We know it's not true that they're concerned about whether or not people actually get to vote. This week we had a California representative, Kevin Kiley on with Stephen A. Smith. And Stephen A. Smith was talking about this, the Save America Act. And I kind of got the impression at the beginning of it he was like, you know, why do we really need IDs to vote? And then Kevin let him in on a little secret in California. Now, you may not know this, but California was not always this crazy deep purple or deep blue state. And there's a reason that it should never be. Because California is actually a stunningly beautiful state. I mean, people should want to live there. But now people look at California and they're, they're like, you know, if I'm lucky enough to live here, I might have a terrible fire, burn my house down, and then never be able to rebuild it because the policies are so bad. But they also think that they own you in the state of California. They should, they should get all your money. They should be able to give all of your money to whomever they choose. But they also own the votes and they make the decisions. So this is what shocked Stephen A. Smith this week.
California Voter ID Expert
I think the fact that we don't have voter ID in places like California is extremely unusual. In democracies across the globe, there's maybe like two or three democracies in the world that don't have it. This is just kind of like a standard administrative requirement in a well functioning democracy. So I think we just should just have it. We should get the Zodon to move on with our lives. You know, it should be a big controversial issue.
Interviewer
Excuse me for being so ignorant. Asking last question. Definitely my last question. What do you mean you don't have voter ID in California? Could you please elaborate specifically on that for My audience that may not know.
California Voter ID Expert
Yeah, California does not have voter id. You don't need to present it to register. You don't need to present it to vote. As a matter of fact, the, the state passed a law forbidding voter id. So, so cities, counties, if they were bidding, they're not allowed to under state law.
Interviewer
What? When did that happen?
California Voter ID Expert
A couple of years ago, because I think it was Orange county they wanted to have their own requirements of. The state passed a law saying, nope, you're not allowed to. You voter ID is not only not required, it is actively forbidden.
Interviewer
Right there. That's why the same act been proposed right there, the state of California. That's what the Republicans go lean on as an excuse to definitely push forth the same act. Right there. Right there.
Tudor Dixon
I can't believe it.
Interviewer
I didn't even know that, sir. I'm embarrassed to admit there's a lot
California Voter ID Expert
of crazy things going on in California. But I think, you know, you are seeing a return to sanity in some ways. And I see it Democrats, Republicans and independents in California who are saying, you know, we need to do some things differently in this state.
Interviewer
By the way, last thing, that, that, that, that no voter eligibility required. That's Gavin News last two years. That was Gavin News.
California Voter ID Expert
Correct. Well, so the, there's the require the law saying that a locality cannot have its own ID requirement. That was Newsome.
Interviewer
There you go. That was Newsome. That's all I needed to know.
Tudor Dixon
So as you can see, they don't. It's not just that they don't want voter id. They have banned it. In California, you are not allowed to bring an id. I mean, what happens to you if you do bring an id? You are not allowed to show your ID in California. Think about that. No id. This is not the real id. This is not like you have to have three forms of id. This is not like you're shoveling snow in New York, kind of five forms of id. This is, you can't bring ID in California. You cannot bring ID to vote. You have to have an iv, an ID to go to the airport. You have to have an ID to buy alcohol. You have to have an ID to buy marijuana. You have to have an ID to go to the hospital. You have to have an ID to rent a car. But in California, you better not bring your id. Why, why would it be that you don't bring an id? Why would they not want to know who you are? I think we all know why they don't want to know. We all know they want to win. They want to implement all of their policies, and they want to take all of your tax dollars and use them. They want to take all of your money. They want to tax you higher and higher and higher. Every Democrat loves to tax you. We've got this Democrat named Mallory McMurraw in Michigan, and she is like, the Republicans are so horrible. Let me tax every bit of entertainment you have in the state. I'm not kidding you. This woman is running for the US Senate right now. She found out that the Lions were winning. She's originally from New Jersey, so I don't know if she's a Lions fan or not, but she found out while she was here that the Lions were successful last year. And she said, darn it, we could be stealing these people's money. She said, the Lions are successful. We've got to start taxing entertainment. And she put a bill in to try to do it. These people want your money, and then they're mad when you leave. It's funny because Kathy Hochul, like, there's a 2022 Kathy Hochul, and then there's a mom, Donnie. Kathy Hochul. So pre mom Donnie. Kathy Hochul's like, I won. That's right. I beat Lee Zeldin. All you Zelda Knights, get out of here. You go to Florida. I don't even want to see you here. And then she becomes like, pro mom Donnie. And turns out that they need all that sweet Palm beach money. So she's like, crap, I need to get those people back here. And she has the funniest way of trying to lure them back. It's like, your friends have left. They went to Palm Beach. Don't you get that we need their money. Listen to the comparison of 2022 Kathy Hochul to Mamdani. Kathy Hochul.
Kathy Hochul
The era of Trump and Zeldin and Molinaro. Just jump on a bus and head down to Florida where you belong, okay?
Tudor Dixon
Get out of town. Get out of town.
Kathy Hochul
Because you don't reach. You don't represent our values. You are not New Yorkers. What can we do to take off some of that pain that New Yorkers are feeling that I hear about literally every day? What I want to make sure we are smart about is having a system in place where it's not just taxing for the sake of taxing and being conscious of the fact that I need people who are high net worth to support the generous social programs that we want to have in our state right now. There are some patriotic millionaires who stepped up. Okay, cut Me the checks if you want to be supportive. But maybe the first step should be go down to Palm beach and see if you can bring back home. Because our tax base has been eroded. So I feel soft. We don't have a problem. It is like, I have to look at the fact that we are incomplete competition with other states who have less of a tax burden on their corporations.
Tudor Dixon
Sometimes I look at politicians and I just think about parenting, and I think, how would I apply what she just said to parenting? So if my kids came to me and they said, mom, you look like a generous parent, just cut me the check, give me the money. Be like, get upstairs and clean your room. And don't you come back and ask me for money. I mean, what is she thinking? Like, what is this approach? She legitimately just said, we have brought socialism to New York City and it's not working out. So we need the high net worth people, the rich people. She doesn't look, when they hate them, they're billionaires. When they need their money, they're high net worth. That's how it works. She wants the billionaires to come back just to give her their money. Not like, hey, we love the businesses that you bring. We want to increase the. The revenue. We want to make sure that people have jobs. We need your help. We want to partner with you. Just cut me the check. Cut me the check, damn it. Get back. Get your butt back here. You get out of Florida. You don't sit on the beach. You don't have no income tax. You get back up here and you give me your money. I don't think it's going to work. I think it's a bad idea. I think Kathy Hochul screwed. I think New York is screwed because of Kathy Hochul and mom, Donnie, I don't know what that man does. If there's like some thing where he, like, hypnotizes people with his eyes. But why would she do this? Like Kathy Hochul. You are done. Done. I'm telling you that all of this, they. They will lie, they will cheat, they will do anything for power. And they're not even hiding it. Like, you think Kathy Hochul is bad. Get back here and give me your money. That's not even as bad as what is happening in Illinois. Let's take a quick commercial break. We'll continue next on the Tudor Dixon Podcast.
Ben Ferguson
Hey, it's Ben Ferguson, and I want to be honest with you for a second about how an act of compassion really feels. A couple of years ago, I made the choice to partner with an amazing organization called Compassion International. Why? Because I wanted to sponsor a child in need. It was a nice idea, sure, but I had no idea just how much that simple act would change my life as well. I sponsored Nadia and got to watch her life change right in front of my eyes. Going from starving literally alone on the streets to getting the health care and education she needs to reach her God given full potential. I got to be a part of that change. And the light of that compassion not only illuminates in her, it illuminates now in me. That is the power of compassion. The light of Christ shines on all of us. Feel it for yourself and change literally a child's life. Change the world and you also change yourself. You can sponsor child today. Visit compassion.com that's compassion.com it's happening across

so we've got Governor JB Pricks Pritzker out there saying that he's gonna either throw us all in jail or take all our money. All of us, all of us who are on the right. Here it is.
Gavin Newsom's Partner
What is a Project 2029 agenda look like for you?
Illinois Politician
I don't think you can speak of it in in shorthand, but I'll just say a couple of things that I think are absolutely necessary. One is we've got to restore the rule of law. And that means holding people accountable who've broken the law and talking about in this administration when we get a new one. The people in this administration who've broken the law and federal agents who've broken the law need to be held accountable. And that means criminally prosecuted, criminally prosecuted, civilly prosecutor, whatever it is that we can do, right? It may be that you can't criminally prosecute somebody, but that you can go after them civilly.
Tudor Dixon
Just goes to show that becoming thinner doesn't always make you a nicer person because his suit is a little looser. But man, did you hear what he just said? He said go after them criminally and if we find that we can't. And he said the people in the administration, so this is like everyone and I'm telling you, when you don't think it's everyone. If you think that he's talking about the highest level people. He's talking about the person who's at the door of the, of the White House. He's talking about the people who are at the lowest levels of government because they have done this before. They went through this before where they just banned everybody. So anybody that had worked in the Trump administration was, like, banned from ever having a job again. But he's like, you know what? That wasn't enough. Because somehow they came back. We must totally wipe them out. And that means jail time. We want to prosecute them. Rule of law, you know, it's like these nice words. We have to make sure rule of law is being followed. I mean, this is the same thing with that Alyssa Slotkin, CIA junior spy. She's also saying, like, you don't have to follow illegal orders. This isn't. Nobody's breaking the law. They're making you believe that anybody on the right is breaking the law. So when they come in like the Gestapo, after the Trump administration leaves office, heaven forbid we don't have a Republican win because they want to throw the Republicans in jail. He doesn't even mince words. He's like, we've got to get rid of them. They've got to be prosecuted. But then he goes a step further. He's like, look, on the off chance that we don't have a legal case here, because he knows that they don't. But, hey, folks, on the off chance we don't have a legal case here, we're going to make sure we go after them civilly, because you can do that. And even if you don't win, you can financially destroy people. Just so you know, that's what they're thinking. They want to completely destroy the right. Anybody that doesn't believe, like them, anybody that doesn't want to be a part of their genderless society, they are just going to wipe you out. And if you think that I'm joking about this, like, they have him who is like this brutal. He and Kathy Hochul are like these brutal enforcers, right? And then you've got people that come in a beautiful package. The California people, like Gavin Newsom's wife. She is very beautiful and she comes off very innocent. I don't know if you know this. She's not the first lady of California. She's not. She's not. She's the first partner of California because, you know, we should think about people as partners, not married. I mean, she's not A lady. Don't call her a lady. She's the first partner and she's hoping that it sticks. It was just kind of a cheeky thing she said. But now you sure as heck better call her the first partner. Listen to this.
Gavin Newsom's Partner
What I will say is that I don't know if our country is ready for first partner.
Tudor Dixon
Okay?
Gavin Newsom's Partner
Sadly, I don't know if they are. I'd like to think, and I'm going
Tudor Dixon
to work really, really, really, really hard
Gavin Newsom's Partner
for people to see what's been rendered invisible and devalued in our society and to go, oh, that's actually important. It's not always a woman behind a man, but the partnership is what's important. And that partnership will make the world go round. That said, I, you know, I have respect for institutions. California is sort of this petri dish of innovation. I threw it out as a whim to everybody when we were in the transition period. And they were like, they kind of like, liked it. They thought it was cool. And I was like, okay. And so if not me, hopefully somebody someday will continue to assert and stand up so that more people see the value of the partnership and the value of the care. And that that person, whether it's a man, a woman, you know, gender non conforming individual, that they're critical to that person's success and that they're part of the other life, that other life of theirs that allows them to lead, that allows them to be successful.
Tudor Dixon
Why does she have to assume that someone is gender non conforming? I mean, all of that. I watched that and I was like, when I was young, when I was in high school, the movie Clueless came out. I don't know if you remember this, but it was set in California and the girl was very well dressed and she was like always negotiating with her teachers. And she brings her report code home and her father looks at it and he's like, these are not good grades, Cher. And she's like, daddy, I haven't negotiated my teachers yet. And I thought that was like a play on a California woman. But then I saw the first partner. I was like, oh, this is who they really are. This is who she really is. And the words that she puts together are so weird. It's like talking to. I imagine it like something from a movie where you would go to a yoga studio and people would talk to you like this about how to calm down. And you would be sitting there with your legs crossed and looking up at the sky and they would be like, you can partner with someone and be gender non conforming and talk in that weird voice. This is not the future for us folks, but this is what California has become. And then you will have to wonder, well, what is Gavin Newsom like if that's his wife. And fortunately, what we got a little picture into the Californian husband's life this week because Bill Maher interviewed Jerry o'. Connell. You remember Jerry. He was the little chubby kid from Stand By Me. And then I think for everybody who worried or everybody who worries now about like, is my kid chubby? Jerry had a great glow up. I mean he's, he went through puberty. It was good to him. He became a star. He is a very attractive adult man, but he is afraid of his wife. And it is very sad because he lives in California. She's a little bit mushy when it comes to like masculine strength. And I think that maybe first partners make you mushy. But here's Jerry o'. Connell.
Jerry O'Connell
I'm going to tell you about a bit of. I say this, will I stay married? Blow it over here.
Reynolds Kitchens Sponsor
My.
Tudor Dixon
Sounds like you're going to blow it over here.
Jerry O'Connell
The night of the election, this third one. Yeah, third election. Everyone knows what I'm talking about here. I was watching late at night the returns and I'll be honest with you, I didn't think Trump was going to win. I live in California. I didn't think he was going to win. What I was here.
Tudor Dixon
I didn't either.
Jerry O'Connell
I think he was going to win. This is where I live, you know who. I said something along the lines of, like, there was no planning. This is what they get. There should have been a primary. I said something along those lines, you know, like I was just spitballing ideas as to. It was a shock, you know, my wife and daughters, without saying anything became, became physical with me. They were, they were filled with rage. So if I am being careful with you in how I say things. Yes, I live in California. I live with not one, not two, but three people who, if I made any kind of joke, they would. They become very angry with me. You know, I, well, so I'm, I

don't want to tell you how to live your life, but I couldn't live that way.
Tudor Dixon
Poor Jerry. He seems like he's a seriously nice husband and he just admitted that he is a battered husband. He was physically attacked by his family, his wife and his daughters. His wife is a supermodel. In growing up, you look at Rebecca Romijn and you're like, oh my gosh, she's gorgeous and, like, everybody wants to be her. Probably everybody wants to date her. But now, you know, she beats her husband. And I think it's so sad. And he is so sad. Today he said he put out a message on. On X saying, like, I'm not going to do any more podcasts. He probably got home and had the crap beaten out of him because of what he said. And he was so careful. He was so careful and so. And so conscious of their feelings. Like, I mean, the way he went through all of that was very sweet and darling. And I looked at him and I was like, you are a darling man, but you are mushy. You have not been told the right thing about masculinity. You should not allow your family to beat you up. But this is apparently what a first partner does. This is like the California thing. This is what they want us all to be, first partners. And with mushy men like, no. What is happening? We don't want this. And they will tell you, you have no choice because MAGA is fractured and MAGA is dead. Remember that. MAGA is dead. All these people that are, like, not real Republicans, like, in their 15 minutes of fame, and they're like, I'm taking this moment to make a splash because I feel like I've seen other people make a splash and they make a lot of money making a splash. So I'm going to make my own splash and say, maga is dead. Well, CNN tried to figure out if MAGA was dead, and they got an NBC poll and they had, like, this whole segment on the NBC poll about maga. Where does MAGA stand? You might be surprised. This is where MAGA stands.
NBC Poll Commentator
You know, sometimes you look at the polling data and there are numbers that just jump off the screen at you. And this is one of those, because just take a Look here. MAGA, GOP view of Trump approve 100. 100%. If you are a member of MAGA and the GOP, you approve of Donald John Trump, 0% say that they disapprove. You don't have to be a mathematical genius to know you can't go higher than 100%. He is the 1972 Miami Dolphins. Now, there are some Republicans who disapprove of Donald John Trump, but they are not members of the Make America Great Again movement. The bottom line is this. If you are a member of MAGA, you approve of Donald Trump.
Tudor Dixon

In this episode, Tudor Dixon tackles the latest hot-button political topics from the past week, focusing on the contentious DHS Secretary confirmation hearing for Senator Markwayne Mullin, a heated voter ID debate, controversies surrounding prominent Democrat politicians, and ongoing cultural and political clashes in California, New York, and Illinois. With her signature blend of biting humor and direct commentary, Dixon takes aim at both Democrats and Republicans, spotlighting what she characterizes as their political missteps and hypocrisy.
Timestamp: 04:21 – 11:44
Main Story:
The Senate’s DHS Secretary confirmation hearing saw fireworks between Sen. Rand Paul and nominee Sen. Markwayne Mullin. Rand Paul accused Mullin of justifying violence against him and challenged him to clarify his statements live.
Notable Quote:
Dixon’s Take:
She expresses dismay at the lack of seriousness, especially considering pressing DHS concerns like long TSA lines at Houston airport and questions the seriousness of Democrats’ commitment to DHS funding and functionality.
Criticism of Democrats:
Dixon criticizes Democrats, focusing on Rep. Alyssa Slotkin’s questioning during the hearing, suggesting that they are out of touch—highlighting her vote against DHS funding amid a local terror incident.
Timestamp: 07:05 – 11:44
Slotkin Critique:
Tudor Dixon is sharply critical of Rep. Alyssa Slotkin—a former CIA analyst—accusing her of hypocrisy for opposing DHS and ICE funding while lamenting lapses in local security after a violent attack in her own district.
Notable Quote:
Context:
Dixon argues that Democrats’ votes against certain DHS measures equate to signaling that critical agencies (TSA, Coast Guard, FEMA) aren’t needed, even when they publicly decry management issues.
Timestamp: 13:40 – 23:10
Democrat Argument Against Voter ID:
Clips play of Democratic voices downplaying the voter fraud problem, citing low numbers of non-citizen votes. Dixon mocks this as “there’s not that many” and likens it to deliberately ignoring an obvious risk.
Quote:
Dixon’s Take:
“Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. That’s what I was always taught... apparently Chuck Schumer sees that and Raphael Warnock sees that, but they’re like, it’s not enough smoke. Stop. Settle down. Why do we need IDs? That’s ridiculous.” (14:27)
California’s Voter ID Laws:
Timestamp: 23:29 – 27:26
Dixon Critiques "Tax-and-Spend" Approaches:
She lambasts Michigan Senate candidate Mallory McMurraw for proposing entertainment taxes, and highlights the shifting rhetoric of New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, who once told conservatives to leave the state but later tried to lure wealthy residents back for revenue.
Quotes:
Dixon’s Take:
Uses a parenting analogy to mock Hochul's approach: “Get upstairs and clean your room. And don’t you come back and ask me for money.” (27:26)
Timestamp: 33:44 – 39:02
Illinois Political Rhetoric:
Dixon spotlights an Illinois politician threatening to prosecute or “financially destroy” former Trump administration officials, regardless of the legal grounds.
Quote:
Dixon Criticizes “Brutal Enforcers”:
Compares Illinois and New York governors to “brutal enforcers,” warning of their desire to target anyone who disagrees politically.
California’s “First Partner”:
Dixon’s Take:
Satirizes “California-speak” and “first partner” concepts as emblematic of cultural trends she finds absurd.
Timestamp: 41:02 – 42:35
Jerry O’Connell on Bill Maher:
Dixon recounts an appearance where actor Jerry O’Connell jokes about being physically attacked by his wife and daughters for sharing wrongthink on Trump election night.
Quote:
Dixon’s Satire:
Mocks the idea of “mushy men” and the “first partner” mentality as creating weak male role models.
Timestamp: 44:28 – 45:13
NBC Poll on GOP & Trump:
A commentator presents NBC poll results:
Dixon’s Summary:
Rand Paul (on Mullin and political violence):
"Tell me to my face why you think I deserved to be assaulted from behind, have six ribs broken and a damaged lung. Tell me to my face why you think I deserved it." (05:25)
California Voter ID Expert:
"California does not have voter ID. You don’t need to present it to register. You don’t need to present it to vote...the state passed a law forbidding voter ID." (22:10)
Kathy Hochul (on NY's tax base):
"Go down to Palm Beach and see if you can bring 'em back home. Because our tax base has been eroded." (26:28)
Illinois Politician:
"That means holding people accountable who've broken the law...criminally prosecuted, civilly prosecuted, whatever it is that we can do, right?" (34:03)
Gavin Newsom’s Partner:
"It's not always a woman behind a man, but the partnership is what's important. And that partnership will make the world go round...that person, whether it's a man, a woman, you know, gender non-conforming individual, that they're critical to that person's success and that they're part of the other life, that other life of theirs that allows them to lead, that allows them to be successful." (37:47)
Jerry O’Connell:
"My wife and daughters...became physical with me. They were, they were filled with rage. So if I am being careful with you in how I say things...Yes, I live in California. I live with not one, not two, but three people who, if I made any kind of joke, they become very angry with me." (41:33)
NBC Poll Commentator:
"If you are a member of MAGA and the GOP, you approve of Donald John Trump. Zero percent say that they disapprove. He is the 1972 Miami Dolphins." (44:28)
This episode is classic Tudor Dixon—with sharp-tongued commentary, political skepticism, and plenty of media montages. She hits major points on the DHS confirmation drama, questions about Democratic commitment to security, the ballot security debate (specifically, voter ID laws), and what she frames as excessive or hypocritical “tax the rich” rhetoric from blue state leaders. The episode also lampoons California’s progressive inclusivity jargon and the shifting attitudes about masculinity, all capped off with a crowing poll reveal about Donald Trump’s MAGA support.
This episode is a must-listen for anyone trying to track today’s most acerbic conservative takes on the headlines, with plenty of moments that are both eye-raising and memorable.
