Imagine being 24 years old. You're either living at home, you're living in a packed apartment with your friends. You're not sure about where you're going to end up or what you're going to be, and you're frustrated with how you feel like your life is going. Now I would absolutely acknowledge that if you're a woman, that's different than if you're a man. And I do so and acknowledge those differences because the outcome that I'm going to lead you through ultimately impacts men. Because men are the ones that feel the most unfortunate fate as a result of this frustration or dissatisfaction with existence. Women are more adaptive and cunning and, and, and recognize how to navigate the catastrophes with which men bring to society and to the world as a whole. And I'm not excusing. There are certainly been female influences that have driven many, many negative aspects of history in terms of conflict and war and sorrow and devastation. But mostly it falls upon our shoulders, but not upon the shoulders of that 24 year old, disenfranchised man. Think about it. You're wondering what you're supposed to do with your life. What, what aspects of, of your life are going to give you a grand sensation of fulfillment? What's going to lift you up, what's going to give you joy, what's going to reduce fear, what's going to inspire you to leave a substantial mark on the legacy of your existence. Now these are things that men think about, perhaps not in the context of, of, of that monumental conundrum, but certainly young men are stuck in this space of, of trying to figure things out, this seemingly circular pattern of, of evaluation. Now whether or not you come from a place where you've been dutiful and your, your assimilation into what society sets up by you went to the school, you accepted the things they were teaching you, you were evaluating and doing and staying within the confines of your left and right lateral limits, you didn't react in too strong, staunch of a negative reaction, you did what you were told, you adhered, you were a, a willing member of the civilization or society that governed you. And if you were coming from the other side where you were of modest means or outright poor, right you, you, you acknowledged that the hardships were undefeatable because you were a child. There was nothing you were going to do by the fact that your, your mother, your father or both of them or your siblings were older siblings or younger were unable to provide opportunities that would release you from the state of what you were born into. And there's most likely a time as you were adhering to that, that agreement that you were probably consumed with an idea of, of boredom or monotonous or frustration, that whatever you were being influenced upon was not directly influencing you upon, to be independent, free thinking and in, in a, in a grander sense of the liberties that should be your God given rights. You went along with it. You did it. You, you said, Roger, I'll, I'll go, I'll do, I'll listen, I'll pay attention. I won't act out. Now obviously in some cases, as a young rambunctious male, you probably did some dumb things. You probably got tied up or, or enticed to, to test that system a little bit here and there, if not overtly, most certainly in your own interpretation of it. And underneath all that, as you began to scratch at, at the veneer of that which was being pressed upon you, you started to have some, some deep questions about is this really what my life is going to entail? The, the, the willingness of myself to, to slip into the noxiousness of, of conformity or slip into the predisposed purpose for me. And that pulling of that is, is, is palpable. You can feel the thing pulling you into it, right? The thing that, that gives you a modicum of satiation, the thing that gives you a sense of fear that if, if you don't conform, the, the, the reaction to a condemnation that leads to incarceration, a condemnation that leads to ostracization, a condemnation that leads to incarceration. And so you're trying to figure out what's my purpose in all of that. And eventually after you go through the system that's set up for you, the system to get you into that conformity of some construct, the system that creates the lanes with which you have to adhere to it ultimately dumps you into the real world where you're outside of the scope of the protective nature of, of the womb of family, where you're outside the scope of education, where it's, it's given you all it's going to give you. And now it's expect. The expectation is that you will once again assimilate the limited or, or, or fundamental opportunities that exist within the particular society that you've, that you were born into. Now what does that look like? Is it some shitty job? It certainly has to. And be indicative of the grinding, right? Grinding every day, waking up, doing the thing you're supposed to do in order to do the thing you're supposed to do, right, which is earn a wage, eke out enough to put a roof over your head and feed yourself to sustain the activity with which is built into the system. Barely getting paid, you feel like there's no way to get ahead. You run into the thing that is the provocation which generates what, right? The fact that you might start to believe that your future looks pretty bleak, that the opportunity that was professed to you, that if you do the things then ultimately you will evolve and there will be opportunities that you can rise above that which might otherwise hold you down, right? If you're educated, you read, you can write, you can think abstractly, you can, you can study, you can gain information and intellectual, become an intellectual force to be reckoned with. Or you develop some particular skill set that gives you an advantage over others. And that particular skill set working with your hands or working in a factory or working in support of the grander system, right? Whether it's a, a white collar job, blue collar job, whatever it might be. And don't forget there's always the enticement of the outsides of those, the edges, the things that are the easy way around cheating, stealing, becoming a group of a, of an outcast component of the culture that, that acknowledges what you're doing. But yet in that one case you do know you have this. Somewhere along the line there's been this, a moral framework that was introduced to you. And so you, you push back on it, you, you resist the temptation if you will, but you still can't afford a house, he still can't afford to have a family, he still can't afford free time. Which is essentially the essence of, of, of, of what I think most human beings want. They want time to be able to experience and enjoy the fruits of, of their labors, the fruits of their, their desires of morality, the fruits of their liberties, the fruits of, of peace, the fruits of the things that give people a grander sense of meaning and purpose. They want that freedom. And yet it's just impossible to stop noticing that there are powers that are outside of your control that seem to be controlling the systems. And these systems are diverse all around the world, but yet it's still that same 24 year old male that's Being subjected to the system, right? Driven towards the systems that ultimately create or, or restrict the opportunities for them to, to gain those that grander sense of meaning.

And these people, all the while that they're out there and they're, they're in control in some capacity, they are displaying the benefits of, of their own creation like drunken materialists swimming in their own pools of cognitive dissonance and have no intention to spread the wealth of their freedoms. And the separation is distinct and knowledge and acknowledged. And they actually in, in, in many cases use verbiage or vernaculars or descriptions to demonstrate the fact that four year old male is ill equipped or underprepared to, to move into the system in as, as the future, to take control over it or to manage it if you will. And the manag, the management of those systems, those are the ones that almost act as gatekeepers to the evolution of that 24 year old. After a particular amount of time, after a particular amount of, of. Of awake awareness, yeah, self awareness that you exist within that ultimately what can happen that 24 year old can start feeling as if they're a slave to that system that they didn't create. But yet they have to sacrifice their blood, sweat and tears in order to assimil to it so that the, the system continues to grind on and grind on them. Now this system or this idea or this fentation, this feeling ultimately forces a young man to question what he believes in. He's forced to question what he was taught. He's forced to question why life is unfair. Over and over again, over and over again. And when's that what ends up happening as, As a person sits there in, stews in a, In. In. In the midst of that negative insurgency, that external pressure that constantly is, is. Is diluting his sense of, of. Of ambition, his sense of. Of hope. It's almost as if it's like it's this, he's being drenched in this inescapable reality that life itself is imbued with suffering and pain. Well, he ends up circling that proverbial drain of his own hopelessness and sorrow. And then it happens. As the emptiness of his faith regarding his own future burns, the emptiness of his own self begins to ignite something else, which is this idea that meaning comes from another place. It comes from this deeper sense of strength. Now I know that seems a little simplistic for sure about, about a young 24 or old man, but I can tell you this. That man, that real man seeks that strength out day in and day out. That's what men are conditioned to do. That's what men have always been conditioned to do. To find the strength in themselves to hack out their own existence in this world. And this is not something that, that dies because of some type of programming, although there most certainly always is throughout history, a, a program that seems to direct that quest for strength towards particular ideas regarding religion, politics, ideologies, what philosophies, the whole gambit of that human condition. There are programs designed to direct that 24 year old male into that space. Why? Because the 24 year old male is the person that ultimately governs whether or not the system will stay in place or the system will collapse. Now, when that sense of strength is, is, is ignited, right? That little fire in their belly of I want to be strong, there's, there's something growing in me. I, I feel something burning that what I've been exposed to isn't right. What I've been exposed to doesn't sit well with me. And through a casual relationship or curiosity, the 24 year old ultimately hears a message that embodies something that's bigger than himself. He hears a message that provokes the one thing that all real males want to be imbued with. He hears that message that says if you hear this, you act upon it, you will feel the strength that you've been searching for. And guess what happens? This sense, this feeling in this message that he hears, it moves him. It stirs his loins, right? It stirs the legacy that has been passed down him for centuries by his family's ability to fight and survive and thrive amidst the constantly changing system. And that fire in his belly is lit. So what does he do? He seeks the truth behind what was said. He seeks the truth by what was. By behind what was said. Because guess what? It stirred his soul. I think that's what all young men are looking for. They're looking for the thing that stirs their soul. They're looking for the thing that gives them that sense of energy, that sense of strength, that sense of, of, of emerging power, that sense of the grip of that, that, that sword in your hand or the bow in your hand, or the arrow which releases or the sense of the trigger and the round impacting that which is trying to alter that sense of strength. And he wants to understand those ideas. He wants to understand that message that is igniting the fire in his gut. And so what does he do? He seeks out that sensation. He seeks out that feeling and he opens the door to the knowledge of good and evil. Now where have we seen this before? Well, pretty much just about any time in history you can think about this taking place. I think the ones that are most relevant right now come from the 20th century. Why? Because it's still within the living memory that we can understand. There are people that have still existed in these two scenarios, if you will. In fact, there are many, many people that have direct correlation to these scenarios. And the scenarios I'm, I'm talking about are when large groups of 24 year old males become disenfranchised with the particular system that seems to be keeping them in place, from the ascension to that sense of freedom, keeping them in place to the ascension that they can have control over that which tries to control them, that strength, if you will. Why? Because young men are impressionable. Young men are seeking that deeper meaning and that purpose. And so they're always searching for that message that makes that fire in their gut burn brighter, that elevates or lifts up or strengthens their convictions, that sense of purpose. And so the first scenario I just briefly want to cover was that.

The 20th century of early Russia, and that was the revolution that took place, otherwise known as the Bolshevik Revolution. Now, it's critical to understand the scenario, the context, the times. Russia had been engaged in World War I from 1914 to 1918. Now by 1917 there were over 2 million dead Russians that had taken place, that had died, right, and many, many defeats against the Germany, Austrian, Hungarian war that they were engaged in, the Great War, the war to end all wars, right? And Russia was facing food shortages, inflation, supply breakdown, which led to massive demonstrations, uprisings in cities like Petrograd. And what had happened was there was enough of a stir that they began to realize, unbeknownst to them, what was going behind closed doors with the Tsar and funding and, and bankruptcies and, and financial strains of, of waging wars, that the population that was engaged in the slaughter was becoming disenfranchised. They began to recognize that those elites, the tsars, right, the bourgeois, they were making decisions that continuously led to the suffering of the other 24 year old men. And so in March of 1917, there was a revolution, right, and forced Nicholas II to give up control. Now this was led by liberals and moderate socialists, right, from the Duma. It aimed to establish a democratic republic and continued the war effort for an honorable peace. Now, simultaneously, right, you had this deep, deep, dark socialist group that was the Soviets that were emerging, right? And in the midst of this other provisional government that was started, there was also this, this Marxist revolutionary group that was gaining ground, right, led by Vladimir Lenin, who had been exiled in Sweden and the ira. The irony of this stuff is some German politicians were the ones who funded and got Lenin back to Russia for this Russian revolution, thinking that they would pull Russia out of the war, that Germany would ultimately be victorious against France and Britain as well as the coalition of other groups of nations that were fighting, but mostly them, and also hope that it would kind of diffuse the, the workings to try and bring the Americans. Now, when you think about what the ideological foundation of, of the Bolsheviks were, right, it was based on Karl Marx, the Communist Manifesto. It was the revolution that the people would be in control of their own fate, that no longer the powerful few would have have control over them, that there would be an equal dist, an equitable distribution of, of, of what the value system was. And the value was in the worker, right? And that's why peace, land, bread and workers control. And these, these phrases that emerge, these slogans, this propaganda that began to emerge, began to take hold, right? And so from, you know, February of 17, there was this rise and through these, this, this group of Bolsheviks, they began with about 24,000 members and by October that was 200,000. But before we talk about the Bolshevik Revolution, I want you to think about the American Revolution. Because it didn't just happen. The colonials didn't wake up one day in 1776 and decide to declare independence from the British. There's 150 years of history that made the American Revolution possible. If you're feeling a bit behind on that time in our great history, well, guess what, you're not alone. Fortunately, Hillsdale College, one of our big sponsors, has a brand new free mini series on colonial America. In this brand new six part documentary series, Hillsdale College professors will teach you the religious, political, cultural and economic ideas that shaped a uniquely American culture during the colonial period. You'll learn why the idea of liberty, especially religious liberty, inspired the settlers of America to cross the Atlantic. You'll learn how Americans organized local governments to rule and protect themselves. And why America has always been a land where virtue can lead to peace and prosperity. Most of us know that the Declaration of Independence marks the beginning of America as an independent nation. But this Hillsdale course will focus on the forging of the American character that made the revolution possible, and why it's more important than ever to remember and reclaim that character. Today, the Hillsdale College miniseries is completely free and easy to access. Plus Hillsdale offers more than 40 other free online courses, including a course on C.S. lewis, the stories in the book of Genesis, the rise and fall of the Roman Republic, and you can go even deeper on the American founding and the Constitution. All for free. When I went through this course, it was that divine inspiration from our forefathers, their deep commitment to their faith, to each other and to the God Almighty. That was the thing that moved me most. And it will move you too. Go right now to Hillsdale Edu Forward slash David to enroll. There's no cost and it's easy to get started. That's Hillsdale. Easy choice because these people were radicals. They were not about integrated into the political structure that had been in control for a very long period of time. They were disruptive. They thought that all of that need to be broken apart, broken down and that out of that would emerge the sense of equality, the sense of freedom, the sense of collective ideology. That we're all in this together, this utopic framework of production. The means of production and the means of production are not just the factory, the Farms or whatever you are the means of production. The 24 year old man was the means of production. So the revolution wanted to gain control of that which was the ideas, the meaning, the purpose behind that 24 year old man. And they did, they got hold of that. And by October, the Bolsheviks controlled the Petrograd Soviet chaired by Trotsky. And the majority influence key military units like the Petrograd garrison. Now they started gaining military control and under Trotsky's military, Revolutionary Committee, Red Guards and sympathetic soldiers seized strategic points, telegraph office, bridges, banks, Winter palace, which was the seat of the Provisional Government. The takeover was relatively bloodless. Fewer than 10 deaths in Petrograd with a minimal resistance. Now why did they succeed? Because there was relatively weak opposition with those who were in control, which is always the sense of those who are in control. Fundamentally, most people that are in control are doing things that only serve their own interests, regardless of what the political structure, ideology they're using. Most of the time they just continue to serve themselves. And so they don't have a lot of opposition. In particular when what, when the 24 year old that acts as the, the person that's in the military, that keeps the peace, that keeps the, the, the, the those are in controlling class of the controlling class of the system, who can push off the masses that are disenfranchised and keep them at bay. Once that collapses, guess what? Those who are in control, they lose the strength. Now the other is that this group, this, this Bolsheviks, these Marxists, these communists, they had great ability to organize, to bring together, to create structure. Right. Remember also the country itself was, had been devastated by four years of catastrophic fighting. Now they were well funded too. He's outside this, this revolutionaries, they were funded by outside groups, you have to know. And those outside groups were outside groups that were in what, control of the money, control of politics and other places. And they realized the opportunity what to influence under the guise of revolutionary spirit, those who can speak well, those who can orate, those who can influence, those who can in, you know, inspire 24 year old men that you are being oppressed. This is your opportunity to break free. This is your opportunity to regain the strength that was taken from you. So what took place? The Russian Civil War from 1918 to 1922. So the opposition coalesced into white armies which were monarchist liberals, nationalists supported by foreign interventions. Britain, France, usa, Japan provided troops and aid to prevent the Bolshevik spread. But guess what? It was too late. The brutal conflict. The Red army organized by Trotsky versus the Whites The Greens, the peasant rebels and others estimated 7 to 12 million deaths. Let me repeat that. Red army was responsible to set for 7 to 12 million deaths from fighting, famine and disease. And that's from 1918 to 1922. Now, the Bolsheviks won due to centralized command. The other groups couldn't get together, they couldn't hold together a coalition and they had centralized command. Right. Defeat, defend the revolution. Right. The communistic war state control of economy was implemented, but ultimately led to what? A famine that devastated another 15. Supposed 15 million people. Now what happened after result of that? That 24 year old male in Russia continued to suffer unless they did what? Unless they joined the Communist Party, the Soviets. And then if, even if you did join, if you didn't say the right things or whatever, you just moved right into that structure of tyranny. You gave up one system of control for another system of control. Why? Because the messaging sound good. You believed what they were telling them. Now, as a result of their. Their control and their lead. Particular after Joseph Stalin took over, right. What happened? He rose to power, took over and caused the holodomor, which was a famine that ultimately led somewhere between 8 to 12 million starvations and deaths in Ukraine. In Stalin's era, from 1920s to 1953. Right. Five year plans, the Great Purges, 1936-38, executing rivals, including the old Bolsheviks. Right. Estimated was how many deaths 20 million deaths from repression, famine and war. Who are Those deaths? The 24 year old male, the 24 year old female, elderly, children, professionals, professors, the bourgeois Christians, all annihilated in order to protect what the new system by using what the 24 year old male to inflict havoc, Those disenfranchised males, those ones that were on the front, that came out and were promised a new utopia, were used in order to go out and kill the other 24 year old males. That potentially would stop the tyranny of that new system. The other example is this. Think about it. The 24 year old male that had just gotten back or been wounded in the trenches on the Eastern Front or Western Front, mostly the Western Front, over and over, going back and back and back again. Who had lived in those trenches in this, in the horrific conditions for years, the lice, the typhoid, the rats, the rotting corpses, the rotting flesh, the famine, the starvation. That's not even the warfare itself. When you understand the song, right? The first month, the battle of the. So what Actually it might have been in first few days, 60,000 casualties. You listen to these historical accounts of this and you begin to understand and you begin to realize how destructive warfare is. World War I is one of the greatest examples of how human beings can annihilate each other without any conscious moral framework whatsoever. Why? Because the other guy's idea is a threat to your idea, an existential threat. And you believe the fact that the other guy's ideal is coming after your way of life and is going to kill you. Why? Because the 24 year old kid believe what they were told, that that's the other 24 year old kid wants to destroy your way of life. So what do you do? You charge, endless charge. Thousands and millions of people, young men, whole generations of young men running to their deaths across those open fields at Flanders, questioning their meaning, questioning their life. And so those Germans end up having to give up because the people of Germany were like, no more, no more. And also what I have to understand is that the rise of communism was exacerbated. If you don't know, Karl Marx wanted to begin the communist revolution in Germany. That's where it was, that's where he wanted it to begin. It took hold in Russia because of their fatigue. And now they were trying to move it into Germany and have it explode into the Germans. And so those Russian revolutionaries were infecting those young 24 year old kids who were sick of going to the trenches. And those communists were going out, they were converting people and putting them in the trenches themselves. And they were saying, why fight? What are we doing? For who? Who's this? So we can reinforce the, the people that are in charge, right? The chancellors and the rich and the bankers and all the people that are in control of us. So what happened? They came. Peace, the Treaty of Versailles. And then what happened in journey after the Treaty of Versailles, they became subjugated to the humiliation of what took place as a result of that treaty. They went into profound debt, hyperinflation, destitution, poverty, suicide, cannibalism, prostitution, child prostitution. A loss of national identity or consciousness. The demoralization of that 24 year old man again. Now, the Treaty of Versailles took place in 1919, right? And they were forced to pay 6.6 billion in reparations. Now extrapolate to the modern one, modern day. And they also took territory losses, territorial losses, 13% of all land and colonies that they had fought for the previous centuries. Military restrictions, right? 100,000 man army, no air force, and the war guilt clause. Germans felt stabbed in the back. And who did they begin to blame? The socialists, the politicians and other ethnic, religious Groups. Now ultimately, the Weimar Republic was a bunch of unstable in terms of 14 different governments over 14 years, right? And what that hyperinflation did is it destroyed the middle class. Now what rose out of that, what emerged another young man who was disenfranchised, who was dejected, demoralized and defeated. So out of that, out of that destitution, that destruction of meaning, young man emerged Adolf Hitler. Now he was inspired obviously by Mussolini's march in Rome. And so he tried to do the same thing. And what he, what happened? He was arrested and he was sent to prison. Not for six months, not for a year, but for five years. After winning multiple distinguished medals for his time on the front line in the World War I, serving his country, getting injured and going back to the front, he was thrown in jail for his political ideas and beliefs. Now, when you incarcerate the mind of a 24 year old man who believes that they have been wrongfully persecuted, that they have been attacked, belittled, demolished, destroyed, it only makes sense that, that that imprisoned mind wants to break out, that in prison mind needs that strength, needs the sense of individuality, of identity to take back control of that per that individual's meaning. And they seek out those things that, that reinforce their strength. So while in prison, what did he do? He wrote Mein Comp. Again, another radicalized ideology that young men can gravitate towards, whether it was Communist Manifesto or Mein Kampf, it's the same principle. It's a new system that gives strength to young men to take over the system that has been oppressing them since the dawn of their existence. Now if you don't believe that these pieces of literature are that powerful, by 1933, 228000 copies of Mein Kampf had been set for, had been sold. Gotta also remember that a, a bestseller even in Modern Times is 35000 books. So 228000 books is substantial. That's how movement begins. Now in 24 he was released, right? And he reorganized the NSDAP, which is the social, the National Socialist movement. So they kept building and recruiting and by now his oration skills had emerged and his confidence in what he was doing was unchecked. Right? It was overwhelming in his dedication to what he knew he needed to do to rebuild the idea of Germany which he bled for on the front. Although he swore he would gain power illegally or legally, right? What'd he do? He exploited the democratic flaws of the Weimar Republic, now kept gaining more and more power, polling and what was it in, in 28 Nazi party pulled around 2.6%. What they were doing is they were building the infrastructure of the party. They were going out to the, the common people. The common 24 year old man that was, had no job, no future, no family, no ability to pay for a house, pay for children. His, his sense of meaning, his belief systems, his heritage was all under attack, was devastated across the board. And they started to build these youth groups and women's organizations, these local cells that people could gravitate towards these 24 year old men who could begin to feel what the strength again that they had been, that had been taken from them. Now what launched this into high high gear and high speed was the crash at 29. Because not only did U. S banks crash, so did German banks. The world economy collapsed and employment went from 1.3 million to 6 million. 30% of the workforce of Germany. There were soup kitchen shanty towns and most of the youth lived in an utter and perpetual despair. The 24 year old man, so what happens to that at 24 year mint? The old kid searches for something to give him what Strength and meaning and purpose. So the Nazi party exploited it. And The Nazis in 1930 election jumped from 12 to 107 seats. 18.3% of the vote. The second largest party 32 two elections in July jumped to 230 seats 37.7. The largest party in November 196 seats 33.1. Right. They got farmers, they got workers, veterans gave them honor. What else? The Hitler Youth grew. The Hitler Youth grew to over a hundred thousand members. Now at the same time as the communist revolution in Germany was trying to take hold and they were doing very similar things that the Nazis were not party were able to come and defeat them, get rid of them and all these battles and these, these, these, these conflicts that they were engaging in. And so Goble's his propaganda became intensified through what? Radio films. Right. Hitler gave 200 plus speeches in 1932. Right. Why did it resonate? Because they feared communism. Right. And communism was growing and there was mass murder that they were aware of, killing Christians and, and Germans and Poles and all these people that lived on those borderlands. And so what were they doing? They were praying once again on the 24 Year Old Man. Now because the system was so unequipped or unprepared for the rapid rise of power. Not even rapid. I mean it took a while and eventually they kind of made a deal to put Hitler as chancellor thinking they could control him. And guess what? The older group that thought they could control him, right? Fritz Thiessen, Franz von Papen. Papen. They thought they could take care of this, but they couldn't. Because what did they fail to recognize that Hitler was resonating with the 24 year old and they weren't. So Hitler knew that. So he increased his power. Sees total control. February March of 1933 which was followed by what his dictatorship. And then it passed a whole series of, of. Of political dictatorship. I rights, things were moved, right? All other parties were banned, became a one party state. He consolidated his power. As the furor, trade unions crushed, banking systems were, were turned by, controlled by the state. Kicked the bankers out, arrested some of them, right? And the Nazi party took over. And once again, what resulted? 60, 65 million deaths around the world. 19 plus million Germans, 22 plus million Russians. Both those parties, both the radicalized nature of those parties. Communism, fascism, right? Bolshevism, Nazism, all going after the 24 year old male, inflaming them and then annihilating each other. Now the other thing that's interesting about all these times is that a lot of the people that were funding these wars, they continued to make more money, right? Whatever you want to call that. The elites here, the elites there, people who had companies, businesses. The thing that kind of is fascinating to me is Ford Motor Company supported both sides of that. The Russians and the Germans with equipment, aircraft, vehicles, all different types of raw materials. There were other companies in America that supported a German or British companies, French companies. And what had ended up happening, who suffered the most? The 24 year old male. This is not something that is disputed. This is not something that can be ignored. This is the fact. This is what happens when you have disenfranchised, demoralized, attacked, beleaguered, empty 24 year old males. This is what's happening now. There are 24 year old males in this country that are in the very same position. They know they have been beaten down. Their hopes for the fulfillment of that American dream have been diluted, demoralized or beaten. The idea of faith has been attacked. The idea of family is under attack. The idea of freedom is under attack. Now traditionally a lot of that comes from leftist ideas, right? And those leftist ideas have, you know, the demoralization of white males, the demoralization of masculinity, the demoralization of, of freedom of speech, right? You can't speak, you need to be canceled, right? The idea that, that better economic opportunities are afforded to other people who aren't even from this country. These young people, they're aware of it, you think they're not, but they are. Why? Because they're out there trying to find jobs. They've done all the things you told them to do. They went to school from kindergarten to 12th grade. They, they listened to the curriculum you thrust down there. You took away the people that they should have been heroes. That, that. That idea of, of fierce individuality and liberty and, And a sovereignty only under to God himself. Right. You're innate ability to be free. But they see all that is not truly what it is. The idea that certain religions are under attack and certain ones aren't. And what's unfortunate is that now this is a reality and, And I think there's a massive group of people and all the systems that are at play or in control or so they think they're all doing what right now? They're all vying for the disenfranchised 24 year old Native American, the 24 year old immigrant American, the 24 year old black man, the 24 year old Hispanic man, the 24 year old white man, the 24 year old Christian, the 24 year old Jew, the 24 year old Muslim. They are all being sought out from these different groups, trying to influence them, trying to bring that sense of, of. Of. Of collective power or strength to them. And you see so, and what's being projected as, as, as history or the anomalies within history, or the manufactured state of history or, or only teaching one component of history and not all of the other. The fact that somehow, somewhere, some way that our youth, that 24 year old man doesn't understand the gray nature of. Is indicative of that system that has been trying to manipulate them or influence them. That they have an inability to be able to evaluate history in its totality and the total context of what it, what it was, how it came about and the impact from it. And any person that, that is not allowing that robust debate about history itself is part of that, that negative influence on that 24 year old male. You look at the movies or the streaming shows or the books, you look at AI, the housing markets, the. You know how religion is being framed. These 24 year old males, they see it. They're not stupid anymore. Powers that be, they woke them up. They woke him up as a result of, of the pandemic by taking away their liberties. You must stand six feet apart. Why? Because we made it up. It's control. You must wear a mask. Why? Because we want you to be silenced and cover your Face you can't travel. And unless you get this jab, what is it? Well we can't tell you that and we don't have to tell you for 70 years. And oh by the way, if you get the jab you could get different heart problems or we could. Your, your, your reprod of organs could be impacted or you could outright die suddenly. Oh and by the way we're going to promote these other groups that can go out and, and moan and because they support, because they. We were told that, that this drug dealing drug addict, a person that had been in jail, person that was high, that was having an overdose, was demoralized, was killed because of this. On unchecked a government authority of police officers when everybody now knows can you can go and see the statistics of, of, of how many black men were unarmed black men were killed by police officers in 2019, in the mid-20s. So we see these kids see that this is not right. This is a lie. They feel it, it's a lie. They, they, they understand propaganda now. Why?

Because there's this thing called the Internet. There's this access to information that can't possibly be governed the way it used to be governed by the people who are in control of the system who want to curtail what information gets out and what doesn't. And in that access to that, what do they feel? They feel one a place to detach from the system that's demoralizing them. They feel a place where they can engage with each other without the, the irrational influence or, or the illogical influences of the systems trying to control them. They can go and feel a sense of release from the, the destitution that awaits them in the, the abysmal nature of their future. Right. How? By gaming, by streaming and talking to each other. By producing stupid memes or videos or making fun or poking fun of it. And as they were coming up into this world because that's the only world they know socially. The old grip of the social structure is gone. And for anybody that's out there who's 40 and older, guess what? You need to wake up and realize that you no longer have control of the 24 year old man. Mayflower.Com let's get back to the 24 year old man that was born in 2001 right after 911 and feel the impact of 9 11. All they've ever known was access to a device that was perpetually feeding them information and through the hair, the growth of their understanding, the growth of their ideology, the growth of their philosophy, their growth of their morality, their growth of their theological or more metaphysical understanding of the world around them has been through their screens. They have felt the impact of the different types of heroes that they were fed or the different types of ostracization they were made to feel. They're, they're, they're. The fact that you, you are not in control, you are a detriment to society. You're a colonist, you're a bigot, you're a racist, you're a chauvinist, you're, you're a phobicist or whatever the word is. You're not worthy to be a functioning part of society. In fact, you're not worthy enough. We're going to censor you if you begin to purport ideas that don't fit within the traditional narratives that maintain the society or the system that seems to be constantly improving the lives of those at the top. And again, this is the interpretation of the 24 year old male. And so what emerged out of that, what emerged out of that is the ideas, what emerged out of that is the, the understanding of their heroes. Now as I go back and begin to recognize what took place because I think I was on a, an edge of it in the beginning and you had a bunch of these, these early 24 year olds that did what after 9 11, that went to war, that went back to the trenches because why they believe the messaging, they believe that the American way of life was under attack and was going to collapse if we didn't go overseas, get back in the trenches and beat back the idea of this other thing, this other system that was going to take away our lives. Why? Because we're trying to figure out what our meaning was at the time where we were supposed to go, what we were supposed to do, how we were supposed to do it. And so those that were in charge of the system created the opportunity for more war. And so you had the g wat people emerge when these young 24 year old men were what were 14 and 15 and so they flocked to those G wat voices, they started to flock to the anti woke, anti leftist voices. They started to flock to something that would give them more meaning, more purpose, more, more understanding of the strength that they control that's inside of their own guts and their souls. And who was the catalyst for this? It was Trump. Because what did he do? He fought back against the systems. He called the systems out, both right and left, which in my opinion are somewhat one and the same. Actively battling for the souls and the minds of the 24 year old man to wage war against each other, to distract everybody from what they're doing at the top which is continuing to extrapolate more wealth out of the productivity of the 24 year old male. He said what he believed. However, I'm sometimes dysfunctional it was, or demoralizing it was. He said what he believed and these young men gravitated towards it immensely. To the pack where in 2020 there had to be some shenanigans in order to keep that man from gaining control and breaking the control of the system that had been put in place for 40, 50, 60, 70 years. Wherever you want to start in the development of the modern era, the new world order, the consolidation of power, stakeholder capitalism, whatever you want, a soft power, pull up politics, I don't care how you describe it, it's a, it's one continuous evolution of, of, of those who have power trying to manipulate the 24 year old male. But they're paying attention now, they're paying close attention. I think what you saw is in 2024 is you saw the system lose control of the system most likely, I believe for one reason and one reason only, and that's Elon Musk bought X. Prior to that Twitter was horrifically censoring Facebook, horrifically censoring Instagram, censoring YouTube, censoring all social media platforms, censoring, censoring, censoring, demoralizing, diminishing the voices of the tumergent 24 year old males or those who are trying to inform them. Be free, think for yourself. Now. Because of that the system could no longer control those voices that were trying to emerge, finding strength. And they were able to access new pieces of truth that paint those in power, either side as illegitimate and corrupt. And those that were thought they were in control, they started losing control of that. Now these ideas once again are becoming more and more and more radicalized. Not only from those who are in the system, but those who are on the edges of society and they're going after who the 24 year old man. Why? Because that's the person they need to fight their war, their war of ideas and this fifth generation warfare and actually they're kinetic wars. Just look at Ukraine and Russia. Probably getting close to 2 million young men. More generations of young 24 year old males that have been thrust into the trenches for the betterment of the systems themselves. Now here In America, those 24 year old men, they're disenfranchised because the dream that I was promised is unattainable for them. They can't afford houses, their jobs don't pay well. AI potentially is going to destroy their opportunities. There's no middle class has been destroyed from offshoring of jobs. There's $38 trillion in debt. Even the political system that they were gravitating towards because of the things that Trump was saying is in question now. Where's the Epstein persecution? Where's the perp walks for Russiagate? Where's the perp walks for all the leftist ideologies? Where's the perp walk for the crazy judges? Where is the perp walk for insider traitors? Where's the perp walk for the manipulation of justice? It's not happening. And the, and the catalyst of all catalysts, the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Because the one thing that these 24 year old men started to feel some strength with was the ability to have faith in themselves through Christ and God. Why? Because that religion doesn't force them to fight for anything other than their individual sovereignty to God. Christ does not tell me to go out and fight. Christ tells me to go out and love. Christ tells me to go out and listen. Christ calls me to go out and search so I can find. Christ tells me to be humble. Christ tells me to be, be aware of different ideas and opinions, but to be able to have open conversation with others, to be able to profess the God, the good news and the gospel to tell you that you will be saved, that God loves you regardless, that Christ loves you. So you had millions and millions of young men gravitating towards it. We saw that, that. But guess what? He was assassinated. We don't know why. Because why? The system that's in control, the systems that are in control of the information, they don't want to tell the 24 year old male why. They don't want to tell the 24 year old male what the purpose was. They don't want to tell the 24 year old male. And there are active people within the system itself, on the right side as well, restricting information at least that's what the 24 year old male feels. If you don't believe me, go listen to the people that are starting to rise up in this, the new system, the system of tomorrow, which is the system that the current 24 year old male is going to fight for in some way, shape or form in the future, in the near future. I'll tell you what, there is another war brewing, brewing. I promise you that there is another war brewing just as there always has been. It's the same war. It's the war for the soul of the 24 year old man. It's always lurking beneath the surface of those who are trying to influence that youthful army. And the reason is because those that are in power, they don't want to do the fighting anymore. The old days of, of the king on the horseback riding into battle. Those days are over. General Washington crossing the Delaware. How many generals died in the g wat it's a 24 year old man that does. There is a war for these ideas and it's taking place every single day, in every single aspect of what's being thrust down their throats. What they're being influenced on through the algorithms, through the silos of ideology, through the podcast, because that's, or the streamers because that's where these young men are getting, getting their information now through podcasts and streaming through videos online and these bits and pieces of things that are provoking the deeper thought in them to find out what they believe in. And these young men are being pulled into a fight. They're being pulled into a fight. The same fight with the same ideas spun by a different muse. Those trying to consolidate their positions of authority through social outrage and condemnation of another group or collectivized people. They're your problem. They're taken away. If you don't attack them, if you don't go after them, then you're wrong. They're the beginning of the new Nazi party. They're the beginning of the new Bolsheviks. They're the beginning of the new whatever. Come join me. Join me in the fight that we're in against the radical nature of the left. Against the radical nature of the right. Pick a side now. What can you do to fight the temptation of that misguided strength? What do I wish was told me, told to me when I was that 24 year old man. Your true strength is your own sovereignty. You are not beholden to a very specific ideology. You are not beholden to a particular philosophy. You are beholden to the thing that is God given to you, which Is your liberty, your God given right to peace and freedom? Now I recognize that there are a lot of people out there that would come up to me and say, hey Rut, that's horseshit. You know it is. The system determines what your, what your rights are for. And I say no way. Your ability to think for yourself is yours. Nobody can take that from you. Nobody if you don't want them to. Your ability to find meaning and the ideas that grant immunity from tyranny, that's your responsibility. That's the strength you're looking for, that's the strength we need to have have is that I'm not going to fall prey to some fancy oration. I'm not going to fall prey to the ability to blame one specific thing versus the complexity of what all of what society and civilization has been doing to each other over and over and over and over again. Tyranny is tyranny no matter what time frame it takes, no matter what form of politics it's playing. Fascism, Nazism, Republican, Democrat, right, left, right. The idea is that if you're a sovereign individual, you have your own ability to believe what you want to believe. And in my opinion, those beliefs should be rooted in something that gives you a sensation of self. And that self is a derivative of what you're willing to sacrifice for others so that they can maintain liberty and peace and the pursuit of some deeper meaning in their life. And so for me, what does that mean? That means my faith in Christ and what Christ ultimately wants me to be. Now I know I can never live up to Christ because I'm a sinner. But what I can do is I can try and live up to those apostles who are just men like me. And the other thing is that my family, what the meaning that my family gives, the sacrifice I'm willing to make for my children. Traveling every work every week so that they can go become educated. Traveling every week so that they can have the beauty of competition and sport. Traveling every week so that they feel the grand sensation of their own emergent individuality. To my wife, who is a perpetual supporter of, of me and how we raise our children, and me of her, which is to teach our children to be strong, intelligent, empathetic individual thinkers that believe in that the beauty of, of, of what represents liberty. So after you listen to this, I want you to think about the things that you are processing, the things that you are seeing and the information that's going through your feed and what you're watching. What is the intention behind it? It is, it to pull that 24 year old male to one direction in order to prepare for the fight that's coming. Because there's a war coming. There's no doubt. Unless you. The 24 year old man, learns to think for yourself. Learns to evaluate history correctly. Learns to evaluate religion correctly. Learns to evaluate politics correctly. Learns to evaluate morality correctly. Learns to evaluate liberty correctly. What I'm asking you, the 24 year old man, is to think for yourself. To be sovereign only to that thing which gives society or civilization opportunities to live in peace. To somehow break the cycle of war that the system is so desperate to recruit you for. That's what I hope that you'll hear. I want to thank y' all for those who pay attention and listen. If you could share this with a 24 year old male or a young man is the metaphor I'm trying to say. Give them this and, and share it with them. Listen to it and try and share that with maybe your 24 year old daughter or your young people around you. Or even listen to yourself and pull yourself out of the influence of the thing that is driving us to war. We don't need it anymore. We need time to figure out what this future is going to look like. We need time to reinforce our young 24 year olds. Guess what? You're in control of the future. And the future is up to you. You can break the cycle. It's possible. Not through radical ideologies, but through that steadfast resolve that we each have an opportunity to live our lives independently of one another without influencing each other negatively towards war. So please subscribe. Like share it would mean the world. I want to thank all those that have kind of helping me awaken all those people out there that are talking about that, that that space of, of, of a moral framework that governs us to be decent to each other, to listen to each other, to accept that free speech is the way we illuminate tyranny. And this is an I, an arena of ideas. And those that are unwilling to listen and hear each other's ideas are the ones that ultimately are going to need the 24 year old. So the 24 year old must be independent thinkers to resist the temptation of going to war for different groups. I want to thank my family, want to thank Christ for teaching me the majority of these lessons. We're at a coming to a crossroads. You feel it? I feel it. And I just hope and pray that we can find restraint from the temptation of war. Godspeed.

Podcast: The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show
Episode: Tyranny’s Temptation: The Eternal War for the Soul of the 24-Year-Old Man | Ep. 75
Date: November 12, 2025
Host: iHeartPodcasts
This episode takes a deep and urgent look at the historical and contemporary forces shaping the lives of young men—specifically the archetype of the “24-year-old man”—and the perennial struggle for their loyalty, meaning, and purpose. Enriched with historical case studies, social critique, and commentary on present-day America, the host seeks to illuminate how systems of power, ideology, and propaganda tempt young men toward conformity, despair, or radicalization. The episode urges listeners to find meaning, resilience, and sovereignty outside of manipulative collectives and warns of another coming war for their minds and souls.

On the circular struggle of young men:
“Young men are stuck in this space of trying to figure things out, this seemingly circular pattern of evaluation.” (05:00)
On radical movements:
“Both the radicalized nature of those parties—Communism, Fascism, Bolshevism, Nazism—all going after the 24 year old male, inflaming them and then annihilating each other.” (59:30)
On how to resist new forms of tyranny:
“Tyranny is tyranny no matter what time frame it takes, no matter what form of politics it's playing... if you're a sovereign individual, you have your own ability to believe what you want.” (87:00)
The host’s central thesis: The battle for the soul of the 24-year-old man is the timeless fulcrum for broader societal changes, and history (from revolutions to World Wars) shows the disastrous cost of manipulation and radicalization. In an age of fractured meanings and unprecedented information access, only self-determination, critical thinking, and spiritual grounding can insulate individuals from being swept into destructive movements.
“We don’t need war anymore. We need time to reinforce our young 24 year olds. Guess what? You’re in control of the future. And the future is up to you.” (90:30)
