In the second hour of the program, I think we mentioned this. Going to break that. We've got Senator Bill castle Cassidy at 2 and then Tom Holman at 2:30. But in this hour it is just us hanging out with you and Buck. I wanted to dive into this story because we talked about it some yesterday and I think it is kind of a perfect, perfect example of everything having to do with the disaster in many big cities when it comes to illegal immigrants and crime. But before we get to that, I had, I had asked our team producer Greg in particular, we were talking in the first hour about some of the Democrat messaging on Iran and how even the New York Times has been writing, hey, things are going really well compared to Desert Storm and compared to, for instance, Panama. But I did want to play for you. We played Chuck Schumer refusing to answer a question from Joe Scarborough about how he would assess things going. And is it basically a good thing that the Ayatollah is gone and that the Iranian navy doesn't exist anymore and that the Air Force has basically been wiped out. Remember, it was only last year. This is from June 2nd of 2025 before the 1st bombing of Iran by hour by the American military. This was Chuck Schumer taunting Trump for not being tough enough on Iran. Cut 33 when it comes to negotiating

One day sounds tough, the next day he's backing off. And now all of a sudden we find out that Witkoff and Rubio are negotiating a secret side deal with Iran. What kind of bull is this? They're going to sound tough in public and then have a side deal that lets Iran get away with everything. That's outrageous. We need to make that side deal public. Any side deal should be before Congress and most importantly, the American people. If Taco Trump is already folding, the American public should know about it. No side deals.

Okay, so Trump was so weak that he was already folding. He then bombed Iran. Now he's taken out the ayatollah and Schumer can't answer basic questions. Make sure we share that cut on video from the Clay and Buck feed because I do think it's important to keep in mind just how unintelligible Democrat arguments are as it pertains to what should happen with Iran. Okay, let's go to Chicago and a couple of updating details here. We are expecting a White House press conference with Caroline Levitt at some point in time. And there is a lot of coverage that's been going on this social media addiction trial. For those of you who have been paying attention to that, Fox News, Fox Business is their lead story right now. They're expecting a verdict from an LA court over that lawsuit that was filed on social media. And we will get to that to the extent that there is anything that comes out of it. But I did want to go back to Chicago. Young freshman in college, Sheridan Gorman, was on the just in downtown Chicago walking along a public park and she was murdered by a Venezuelan illegal immigrant who had already been arrested twice. And it's gotten a lot of attention on audio and video media like this one. And it's so much so that now a lot of Democrats in Chicago are having to address this, particularly J.B. pritzker, who traveled to Minneapolis to express his remorse over the deaths of the the two individuals there at the protest. And now a lot of people are talking about it in Chicago and they're really just kind of telling you, yeah, we don't really care about the life of young college students if they are taken by illegal immigrants. Here is, listen to this. Chicago alder woman Maria Haddon says the murdered Loyola student Sheridan Gorman, well, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and she might have startled the illegal immigrant who killed her. They go out on the pier. They walk around. So the kids were out doing normal, normal things people do in the neighborhood. And it sounds like this might have been a wrong place, wrong time, running into a person who had a gun. They might have startled this person at the end of the pier unintentionally.

Might have. But can you believe that's real? They might have startled the person at the end of the pier unintentionally. And the illegal immigrant who killed this young, innocent college student, well, he was just startled. I can't believe that's real. Here is. But it gets. It gets just as bad, if not worse. J.B. pritzker, governor of Illinois, says the murder of Sheridan Gorman is Donald Trump's fault. Fault cut 20

policies, including those in Illinois. Must have been a terrible tragedy.

Yeah, sorry. I don't know what happened to that audio. We could barely hear it ourselves. I don't know what the issue was is that I'm assuming that that is something on our end and not the actual audio. There's more. Here is Brandon Johnson, the mayor of Chicago, asked directly will you apologize to Sheridan Gorman's family for the policies that got her murdered. Here is what the mayor said.

Apologize to Sheridan's parents for the policies that you promoted that have directly caused her death. That suspect would not be in the city, would not be in the country.

I believe that we're all. We're all grieving the loss of Sheridan and other folks who have lost their lives apart from because of senses violence. And let's just be very clear between the Safety act and the Welcoming City ordinance. Welcoming City ordinance was passed 40 years ago by the first black mayor in the history of Chicago. And the Safety act was passed under the governor that time, who was a Republican. Governor Rauner, thank you for your question.

Okay, so no apology at all. They don't care about the death of this young girl, this college student, by and large, Buck, because the person who did it was an illegal immigrant who should have not been in this country at all. He was from Venezuela. He was arrested when he came into the country. He was then arrested for committing a crime in the country. He should not have been here at all. If he were not here and he came across when the wide open border was here under Joe Biden. If this border had been sealed, Sheridan Gorman would still be alive. There are a lot of people like her. This is a Lake and Riley like situation, just in Illinois instead of Georgia.

This is an acceptable loss to Democrats. That is the truth. They could stop this from happening and

Illegals who have committed serious crimes and have orders of deportation outstanding against them. Democrats do not want those individuals to leave the country. Like I said, we are miles and miles away from gentle Abuela who has been here for 30 years and you know, running a local business somewhere. And you know, maybe we could figure something out. No, no, no. That's not what we're talking about. That's not even. That's right now in Minneapolis, the Interrupters, whatever they call themselves, who were getting in the way of ICE operations. They were stopping ice. And they were told this and they don't care. They were told this by the ICE officials. They were told this from the news. It was true. Top security risks. People who are preying on other human beings who have no right to be in this country in the first place. Democrats don't want them to be sent

out of the country.

This is how devoted to this it really is. Illegals being able to stay in America

has become a religious belief for Democrats. And it also of course has a

long term political strategic tie in of making this a one party state by transforming the, the demographics of America so that we have no cultural or historical or, or ideological cohesion. We're just some, you know, polyglot stop by station welfare ward and economic unit, you know, economic union that has nothing, nothing holding it together other than whoever's

in charge, whoever's running the system.

Yeah, look, I think the positive is we are driving down violent crime. And the reality is if we had not had a wide open southern border, the violent crime rate would be much lower. And unfortunately there would be a lot more people alive today. Can you imagine, Buck? I mean, just strip away all of this for a moment. Can you imagine what it's like to send your 18 year old off to college in a city like Chicago? You've spent your whole life putting all of your love into her or him. I'm about to send a kid off to college in August of, of this year coming up and she just gets murdered in cold blood in a park in Chicago. Did absolutely nothing wrong. It's not even like you can go back and deconstruct what happened to her and say, boy, if she had just not done this, if she had just not done that, she went for a walk in a fricking park. You know, Lake and Riley went for a jog in a park. Those of us out there, it's one thing if you get into a bar fight or you get into a scuffle and awful things happen. You can go back and say, boy, I wish they hadn't made that choice. Go to a park and you're dead because illegals killed you. Illegals that had already been arrested multiple times and should have never been in this country. I, I, I just find it to be so thoroughly reprehensible that we could be in this situation at all. And the fact that Democrats won't address it in any way or we'll see if we can get the audio back up. The fact that J.B. pritzker's response to a college kid getting murdered in a park in Chicago is to say Donald Trump's responsible for it.

Well, this is all they have is

caught says you are stealing the stuff. That's, that's all they've got. They have nothing to argue here that makes any sense. So they just have to go on offense. They have to say everything is Trump's fault. That's the default for everything. Everything bad is Trump's fault. No matter how obvious it is that Trump is actually trying to fix it and that they, the Democrats are making choices that make the bad thing happen

and they're just going to keep doing this. They are dug in on this, Clay.

They're dug in on it with the crime thing, with Trump's policy of using federal law enforcement to help out and bring down the violent crime rate. This is now proven, this is a proven approach to saving people's lives in every city, and particularly those high crime cities with high minority populations that are getting. That's where a lot of the victims of the crimes are coming from. And yes, by the way, it's also where a lot of the perpetrators of the crime are coming from. Clay, you might have seen this. This is data that was shared out yesterday in New York City. The first, I couldn't believe this. Last night, the first nine months of, and this was a.gov website. So I mean this is like the

First nine months of 20, 25, there were 356 shootings in New York City

with a black perpetrator, two with a white perpetrator, city of 8.5 million people,

356 shootings, black perpetrator, black person doing the shooting, two involved white individuals, 356 to two. And keep in mind, the black population of New York city is about 20% of the city. So that's, you know, what are we just. What do we just say about that statistic? What is the conversation supposed to be in New York City when you're talking about the enforcement of crime. I'm sorry, the enforcement of law to deal with crime. Yes. You're going to have a disparate impact on the black community. That is a fact. You're also going to save a disparate number of black lives. And the 99% of law abiding black New Yorkers benefit from just dealing with the reality of. Yes, there are far more violent crimes committed by blacks in New York City

than any other group. Yes, that is the.

I saw this come across the Twitter timeline. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, he had a meeting with donors. These are people who had given money to his reelection effort in the Naples area. And I think you guys will enjoy hearing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis tell us who one of those people was.

Listen, so when that debate, you know, kind of one of my opening things was to tell the story about his father in law. And I didn't have a chance to go into it as much there, so I'll do.

I heard behind the scenes, it pissed him off.

Well, so, so I'm running for reelection. So this is probably three, four years ago. And, and I'm at an event at a restaurant in Naples. And we're kind of in like a back room. So you have like a table, you know, it's kind of big and there's prob 25 people around. And so we sit there, you know, everyone stands, sit down. I'm like, all right, tell me a little bit about you, you know, whatever. And I knew most of the people, but not all. So they'll go, hey, Governor, you know, thanks for helping me with this or this or that. They'd all say the little p. So it gets around to the other side of the table. And this, this gentleman who I didn't know gets, you know, gets up and just says, governor, I just want to let you know we moved, my wife and I moved from California, which you guys are doing. You run such a great state. It's so refreshing to be here. We've never been happier. We love the way everything's going. And then he paused, which you. That was nice to hear. But like, honestly, I hear that a lot. And so it wasn't anything that conspicuous. And then he paused and he looked up and he said, oh, by the way, I'm Gavin Newsom's father in law. And that whole place erupted.

Gavin Newsom, father in law. How awesome is that? Moved all the way across the country and decided that he would rather live in Florida run by Ron DeSantis than the state run by his own son in law.

Well, of course, of course. I mean, no, the funniest thing is, in some ways, no one's surprised by this at all. I don't even Think, by the way, I don't even think Gavin Newsom's surprised by this. I think Gavin Newsom knows he's not good at running things, but he also, A lot of this is set. You know who really runs the state of California? Public sector unions and different, you know, nonprofit ngo, rather NGO interest groups.

Right.

Environmentalist groups and public sector unions actually call the shots in the state of California. But Clay, it's, I thought it was really funny too, because I know this as well. I know it from my own experience of telling Ron DeSantis in person, like, you've done such a good job. You're so that. How many politicians do you know who are, who have a big job? Governor of a state of 21 million is a big job. How many politicians you know are like, yeah, you know, another day of someone telling me to like, the, we're doing an amazing job running this place and the politicians are fantastic here at making

sure everything is great.

Like, I feel like politicians basically get dumped on all the time by most people. Ron DeSantis is tired of so many people telling him how great he is at running Florida. That's where he is.

Hold on, though. You just got married now. Your father in law is great and he lives in Florida. But I want, I'll put it in my perspective too. If you got married and you had risen to governor of a state that your mother and father in law lived in and they decided while you were governor to leave the state, move to a new state and become donors to the opposite political party and let everyone know that they loved the job you were doing and were willing to say it publicly. I, I don't understand how Gavin Newsom wouldn't lose his mind over this. If I, if I, if I, look, my father in law, I was just with him this past weekend, he lives in Michigan. If, if he moved to Tennessee and I was governor of Tennessee and he bailed on the state and went to a blue state and donated money to the governor there and said, I used to Tennessee, but my son in law was the governor there and I didn't like the way things were going. I would be like, I'm easygoing, you're excommunicated from the family. Like, that would be a huge slap in the face.

So I, I think you're, I think you're seeing this all wrong because you're looking at this the way that you would react if you were in Gavin Newsom situation. Yes, Clay, Gavin Newsom is like, he's like an alien lizard from another he has no. There's. You're not going to hurt his feelings. It's just about Gavin Newsom. You're not going to hurt his feelings with how California is run or whatever. There's no pride in doing a good job.

Was. The governor would be so ecstatic about this. This is the fact that he left.

I'm telling you, Gavin Newsom does not care. He only. He's governor. So that's great. And he wants to be president and nothing else matters. Meaning does do people do people that he meets really like the job he's doing as it doesn't matter. It's all about Gavin Newsom.

If you're so if your father in law, like let's presume Gavin Newsom runs against Ron DeSantis like let's just pretend that was 2028. If your own father in law won't vote for you for president if he leaves the state when you are governor. That is such a public slap in the face that I don't understand how you couldn't see it as anything other than.

I just, I'm trying to tell you I think Gavin news. Gavin, sorry. Gavin Newsom is a high functioning sociopath and does not care at all. That's what I'm trying to tell you. It does not even. Doesn't even factor into his radar. Gavin Newsom could care less. What any family. Gavin Newsom's wife could vote Republican and he'd still be like, did we win? He doesn't care. It doesn't matter. It's just about him. It's all just about him.

I, I am still staggered by this. In just a family relationship that you would. By the way, Caroline Levitt is starting to address. We'll keep tabs on this too, but props to the props. By the way. And I think Ron went on. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis went on to say that Gavin Newsom's father in law is a very successful guy. And what is this? Wife two, wife three. I don't know what Gavin Newsom's on right now, but definitely two current wife. And. And so not to mention, by the way, you're moving away from all your grandkids. Everything else. I just, I think this is a pretty supreme indictment of. Of Gavin Newsom. Now to your point, he may not care at all. That to me is even more of a sign of what a soulless psychopath he is. If his father in law bails on the state because he's running it so poorly during COVID and then donates money to his Chief political adversary and goes to his fundraiser. That is incredible. I'm telling you, he might be listening to us right now. I want Gavin Newsom's father in law on the show.

Doesn't phase him, doesn't faze him one bit. He will look you in the eye

with homelessness in his state. I think it's doubled since he's governor. It's something crazy.

He failed on every possible front as governor of California. Everything he came in, he'll look you

in the eye if you're like, hey, how's homelessness going your state? And be like, honestly, we've done the best job dealing with the homelessness situation of anybody in history, and I couldn't

be prouder of it.

He doesn't care. He is a total sociopath. So that's why, like, yeah, yeah, you're right. It's funny in the Ron story and everything. It's great. And of course, it's true, too, because you can't compare people. I know who love. And there are.

I have friends who.

They are California Ride. They're like me with New York. Until Covid, I knew that New York had its problems. And I was like. When I used to do the show, a show alone, Clay, I would talk to other WOR listeners. I'm like, guys, we love this place. I know it's the. You know, I love the whole tri state area, and this is home for

me and everything else. And then Covid finally broke me with it.

I know people who will say California is the most beautiful state in America, the most wonderful state. I absolutely love it, but it's run really poorly.

Yeah.

And I'm talking about Democrats, by the way. I'm not talking about Republicans. I'm talking about people that I know who live there, and they think the place is a mess, but it's their. It's their absolute favorite state. Anyway, here's.

Here's an analogy for you on that, Buck, because I think there are a lot of those people. California is a super beautiful woman. It can be so destructive to itself because so many people look at the natural beauty and are willing to put up with awfulness as a result.

I would co sign the analysis that California is like a. Is like a bikini model with borderline personality disorder. Look that one up. By the way, guys, you don't want to be dealing with that. So, yeah, it's. It's like a. It's like a Victoria's secret model with bpd. It's very tough.

I mean, think about that as the analogy because it's such a naturally beautiful place that even when you are being led astray by it, you come back and the beauty keeps you there because it is. We've talked about this quite a bit. Of all the states out there, if you just want to think about mountains, skiing, you know, whatever you want, if you want beautiful beaches, I think California is the most beautiful state in America. And as a result, I think people put up with utter incompetence. And it is in that way, like many of you out there probably listening to me right now, you've either dated or sometimes married beautiful women that are otherwise destructive. And you just keep coming back because of the beauty. I think there's a lot of men nodding along right now saying, I've been there, learn my lesson.

So you're saying California exists on the crazy hot scale somewhere along the lines of like a stripper. I mean that's, that's kind of the.

Which is how old crazy hot California is a 10 with 10 craziness. Yeah, oftentimes that overlaps. For those of you out there that have seen that great old guy drawing the crazy hot scale, the crazy hot matrix, the crazier you are, a lot of times the. The hotter you are too. A lot of men, business, you know

Welcome back into Clay and Buck. We just moments ago had Caroline Levitt from the West Wing addressing the country about Operation Operation Epic Fury. This is what the White House Press Secretary just said moments ago. 37 hit it.

From the outset, President Trump and the Department of War estimated it would take approximately four to six weeks to achieve this critical mission. 25 days in the greatest military the world has ever known is ahead of schedule and performing exceptionally day by day. The Iranian regime is being crippled and their ability to threaten the United States and our allies is being significantly weakened. Their ambitions of building a nuclear weapon have also been crushed to an even greater degree than they were in Operation midnight hammer in June 2025. The remaining elements of the Iranian regime have have another opportunity to cooperate with President Trump, permanently abandoned their nuclear ambitions and cease actively threatening America and our allies. But the president's preference is always peace. There does not need to be any more death and destruction. But if Iran fails to accept the reality of the current moment, if they fail to understand that they have been defeated militarily and will continue to be President Trump will ensure they are hit harder than they have ever been hit before. President Trump does not bluff, and he is prepared to unleash hell. Iran should not miscalculate again.

Look, I think that, as we said, I think we nailed it. Right now, President Trump has got the carrot and the stick. And Buck's point is he made him with the carrot and the stick, but he said by Friday, we need to have some form of resolution in this, in this conflict. And if we don't, I really think he's going to take Carg island and basically say, hey, we're taking over Iran's ability to produce and distribute oil and natural gas. And again, if you look at the way that the market is moving, by and large, oil's kind of gotten used to this situation right now. Price is not adjusting very much. One interesting thing, Buck, you and I, last week, the price of oil and gas had differed largely whether it was being produced in the Middle east or whether it was being produced in the United States. It skyrocketed in the Middle East. It's now come back to, at least this morning, where both the prices were very similar across the country and around the world. The divergence was no longer there. And I think it's because I was texting with a buddy this morning who's in private equity, and he said, hey, I think we're going to find out very quickly that the straight of Hormuz is back open. And when that occurs, then we're going to be in a situation where the stock market's going to pop again, because the fear has priced in a little bit, and the reality is not what has been priced in by the markets. So we will see how exactly this ends up playing out. But I think Trump is letting it be known, hey, if you don't negotiate with me, and if we don't get what we want, then there are going to be severe consequences. And it is funny to me, Buck, that Iran is nervous because twice Trump has been negotiating with them and just basically taken them out in a, in, in, in Iran with June and then with the, the attack that killed Khomeini right off the bat on a Saturday when they had no idea what was going on.

I think it's actually what we would do if there were truly an asteroid hurtling its way towards the planet. I think we would send a nuke and try to blow it up. I mean, we've been testing to see whether much smaller asteroids can be knocked out of the pathway of where they're going now. Not ones that threaten the United States or the world that I know of. And yeah, they blew it up.

Did you know this? I [e-mail] you would think they would know this. Asteroids are rocky, comets are icy and meteors are much smaller that I knew. But.
