cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers we face today. Yet more than 13,000 women will be diagnosed in 2026, and over 4,000 will lose their lives. Many of these cases happen because screening wasn't done in time. Even with the HPV vaccination, regular screening is still essential. More than half of new cervical cancer cases occur in women who have never or rarely been screened. At LabCorp, we are here to support those conversations and prevention. Welcome to wellness unmasked. I'm Dr. Nicole Safire and I wanted to take a moment to speak directly to all of you today, my listeners. Over the past year, Wellness Unmasked has grown into something. Well, really just something incredibly meaningful to me. What started as a platform to cut through the noise and bring honest, data driven conversations about health has really become a true community. And honestly, that is because of you. Whether you've been here since day one or you just recently found us, I want to thank you. Thank you for listening, for sharing, for engaging, and for caring about your health and also the health of this country. Now, as many of you may know, I am beginning the confirmation process for the role of Surgeon General. It's an incredible honor and one that comes with a great deal of responsibility and because of that, Wellness and Mass will be going on pause during this time and if I am confirmed throughout my service. So with that said, this is not goodbye. I fully intend to stay connected with all of you in meaningful ways and I look forward to the day when I can return maybe to this microphone or some other form in the next few years so we can continue to have these important conversations. Because at the end of the day, the mission remains the same. Empowering you with knowledge, encouraging, thoughtful discussion. Thank you again for being part of this journey with me. I'm Dr. Nicole Safire with Wellness and Mass.
