You wish you had triceps like these, don't you Michael? I got puppy arms, bro. Look at the forearms. Blow. Blow. You know these stupid blood thinners makes my blood too fucking thin. I don't like that. I don't think your blood should be this thin, right? Don't you want your blood thicker? I don't even know. Blau blau blau blau Bl. On this episode of the commercial break.
Teresa Caputo
He always was. From the first time that I met him, he was my everything. Eric's full name was Eric Vargo and everybody called him Vargo. We dated on and off since I was 19. He was loving just a goofball and I miss him every day.
Brian Green
Mm hmm. That's really sad.
Chris Joy Hoadley
He was a bit of a romantic.
Teresa Caputo
Yeah, he was the ladies man.
Chris Joy Hoadley
He just started nibbling on my ear.
Brian Green
I'm like, oh my God. Oh my God. He's nibbling on your ear. He's nibbling on your ear, Teresa. You fucking asshole. Honestly. The next episode of the commercial break starts now. Yeah boy. Oh yeah. Cows and kittens. Welcome back to the commercial break, Brian Green. This is my dear friend and the co host of this show, Chris Joy Hoadley. Best to you, Chrissy.
Co-Host
Best to you, Brian.
Brian Green
Best to you. Out there in the podcast universe, a slew of news to talk about as well as a video to get to and an apology by Brian. So that's all coming up in the next hour of the commercial. I am just reading that the Tomorrowland festival organizers are probably wishing they were living in yesterday country right now because at least they still had a stage. The multi day fest in Belgium was set to kick off in just a few short days, but which would have been the last weekend as this, as you're listening to this, this would have been last weekend. A fire broke out Wednesday and took the entire stage with it, burning it down to scaffolding from one end to the other. Tons of videos are circulating online right now capturing massive plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky and flames quickly burning across the intricate stage. We've all seen that Tomorrowland stage, that huge complicate. Have you ever seen that?
Co-Host
Yeah, I think so.
Brian Green
Okay, here, let me see if I can pull up one of the videos for you so you can look at maybe.
Co-Host
Jeez.
Brian Green
Yeah. Wow.
Co-Host
This is one on fire.
Brian Green
This is one of the bigger stages in here.
Co-Host
Oh yeah, it's huge.
Brian Green
One of the bigger stages in all of stage productions is the Tomorrowland Festival. If you haven't seen it, you should go take a look at past Tomorrowland festivals. It's very intricate, it's extraordinarily large, especially given the fact that what they're going to do is put a picnic table with two fucking CD players on it and play music all weekend long. I mean, honestly, I got nothing against DJs. I think a lot of them are very good. And I like some of the music. I like the Gay Raj, if you will, Chrissy. Gay Raj was my thing. But I mean, it's kind of a little silly to put a stage together that big and then you're going to have a small little dude up in the middle of it.
Co-Host
The spinning tunes.
Brian Green
Yeah, but there's always fire and a lot of visuals. You know, you're, you know, there's.
Co-Host
You're tripping out.
Brian Green
You're tripping out, dude. You're tripping out, man. Fucked up, dude. So. So it doesn't look like there will be a Tomorrowland, at least not with a stage, which is unfortunate for the probably 150,000 people that show up every year. That is one of the more. That is one of the larger festivals out there. Tomorrowland. So here's hoping insurance pays all the premiums. Okay. Also, Pete Davidson is gonna be a dad. We were just wondering the other day where.
Co-Host
Where Pete had gone ruminating on his whereabouts.
Brian Green
Pete's pragers. And I love it. He's married to a. Or he's seeing another incredibly beautiful woman named Elise Hewitt. Pete's gearing up for his biggest role yet as he announced.
Co-Host
Congratulations to Pete.
Brian Green
As reported, Pete and Elise were first linked back together in March. They took their relationship to the next step quickly, obviously.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Brian Green
And now they are expecting their first baby. Oh, gosh.
Co-Host
After like four months.
Brian Green
Yeah, she. Oh, she's a. She's a model.
Co-Host
Of course she is.
Brian Green
Yeah. She's not bad looking. No, no. You wouldn't kick her out of bed. I mean, maybe you'd kick her out of bed. You know, I used to have a friend, Paul, that guy used to say, you're scared of pussy. He used to say, show me a hot girl and I'll show you a guy. You sick of fucking her?
Co-Host
Yeah.
Brian Green
And I was like, I don't believe that, Paul. But now I believe it. Now I believe it. Pete's been through a few of them. Pete's been through all of them, actually. Congratulations to you, Pete.
Co-Host
He has made the rounds.
Brian Green
Yes. But now, thank God you are settling down, Pete. For the love of all that is holy, let us all settle down just a little bit. All right, so that's, that's. That. That's like timely, topical news that's only a week old at this point. So there you go.
Co-Host
That's the newest. You're getting the newest, latest and greatest from us.
Brian Green
The best you're gonna get. We're on vacation, so fuck you. Even we need a vacation. Here's a commercial break. News. Let's break it down for you in case you haven't been in tune with the last couple of weeks. And like little bits and bops that we've been dropping, we're not very good at this. So I'm gonna try and put it all in one shot in the next month and we'll give you an exact date here. Very shortly in the next month, we are going to be doing our very first merch drop. We've worked long and hard on this. And by long and hard, I mean someone else worked long and hard on this. And Astrid and showed us the. And showed us the proofs. That's right. And now we have some coming. So we can put it on, check it out. But it's good quality.
Co-Host
It is.
Brian Green
It's very stuff. Yeah, it's really good. Like, we've been through a lot of iterations of a merch drop thinking we're going to do it, trying to do it, working with different companies and different designers. This is the best of the breed, no doubt about it. The quality is great, the designs are fantastic. And we are going to do our very first merch drop limited. So it's like a two week window. You can either buy it then or you don't buy it. You buy it or you don't buy it and then we will never have that particular merch again.
Co-Host
Going to be five limited edition.
Brian Green
I agree. Five or six items. It is likely we will do an exclusive sticker that goes along with that item. So you buy the item, you get the sticker only if you do it. And that sticker will only be available to this merch drop also. So you either buy it or you don't. Either get it or you don't. That's not to say I'm not trying to like poke you in the eye and say, nani nony boo boo. You have to buy it. I am telling you, nani nonny boo boo. You have to buy it.
Co-Host
Nani nany boo boo. I haven't heard that in a while. I like that.
Brian Green
But we would love it if you would buy the merch. I'd love to say this goes to some good cause we're helping somebody out, it's feeding some children somewhere, but it's not. It's likely going to make us no money either. But what it does do is it gives us the ability to do future merch drops. Because that's how, that's how everything works these days. It's all transactional. You do a test run. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, it's going to be a long time before anybody's going to ask you to do it again. So it's going to be limited merchant. It's going to be for a limited time and we would love it. If you're so inclined to buy some commercial break, I'm going to be wearing it for definitely buying some. I'm. There's going to be some Christmas presents. There's going to be a lot of Christmas presents for people who don't even like the commercial break. Yeah, people have never heard it. They're going to get commercial break stuff. I'm going to get my dad a.
Co-Host
Piggy fronting a Good T shirt's a good T shirt. A good hat is a good hat, no matter what.
Brian Green
Some hoodies, some sweaters, T shirts, long sleeve and short hats. And then if that all goes well, the big plan is that the 12 days of TCB will include a new piece of merch every day that you can buy during that 14 day window. That is really exciting to me because that we're already getting pretty creative.
Co-Host
14 day window?
Brian Green
Yeah, it's going to be. Well, yes, because by the time it's all said and done, I've actually counted the amount of days. This time it'll be 14 episodes in a row. So even though we call it the 12 days of TCB, it was 23 days last month. 23 days in a row of commercial break episodes. Yeah, last year. This year it'll be 14 days in a row of commercial break episodes. So there'll be a two week window. You can buy that stuff. So stay tuned. Secondly, but not any less important to you, the listener, Chrissy and I have thought long and hard about our new our next stunt. The last one being TCB's endless day. We will not be repeating that this year. At least not. Yes, we will. It'll be called the 12 days of TCB.
Co-Host
Yeah, we'll just be in days, not in hours.
Brian Green
Days, not in hours. We love when we break down videos around here. It's a lot of fun for us. And we thought, why not take that to the next level and do a long video, a movie. Okay, what movie are we going to do? Well, there's lots of people that do this out there on the Internet. There's how, you know, how was this made? Mystery Science Theater 3000, which they haven't had a new season in a while. But you get it. There's a lot of people who do this. We want to do something original. So we have picked probably the least known worst actor, actress, director, producer, writer combination you could find. We've probably found the worst movie ever made and we are gonna watch it beginning to end. And I'm only gonna give you one hint about this because I haven't decided on which one of these movies we're gonna do yet. But Kenny Copeland is the writer direct. Kenny Copeland, the preacher, the pastor, the televangelist that we have made fun of for so long here. He has made a series of movies. He made one 20 years ago. He made a couple in the last 10 years.
Co-Host
He reviewed the one with Eric Roberts. Right.
Brian Green
We talked about a clip. We reviewed a clip of it. And that's on the table. I think that might, that might end up being the one that we do. Let's see how it all goes. But you can't stream that one. You have to buy it on used dvd. I have to go find it on used dvd, which I did by the way. And so I'm going to get it. We'll see if it still works. And that might be the one maybe if I can manage to make it all. Where the fuck do you get a dvd? I mean, who's gonna. Somebody's got a loan as a DVD player.
Co-Host
I have a DVD player.
Brian Green
Oh, you do? Okay. Does it have a good remote? It does press stop and start pretty quickly.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Brian Green
Okay.
Co-Host
I mean I haven't used it in a while.
Brian Green
Yeah, we might have to use yours. Let's make sure it works.
Co-Host
Okay.
Brian Green
Okay, sounds good. So TCB Minus the long ballyhoo dream of Chrissy and I to have a streaming service is gonna come to life on a day in August, a very special day when we are going to stream Chrissy and I talking about the movie. While the movie is playing, we're going to stream it on Twitch and YouTube if we can make that work. And we're going to break it down and we hope that you join us. We're really excited about this. If it works out, maybe we'll do this again. So TCB Minus and the Merch Drop both coming in August. Stay tuned. I just wanted to let you know.
Co-Host
What about Bop or what was the other service that we were going to use? Twitching and bopping or what?
Brian Green
Oh yeah, yeah. Kick. K I kick. Yes, we might do kick too. We'll see. Let's see how it all works out. Bop bop. We're using Bop. That's dcb. Bop bop. TC Bop bop. Oh TC bop bop bop bop bop. She's my cherry pie Sweet little lady with a sweet surprise.
Co-Host
I read her audiobiography.
Brian Green
Tawny Kitane.
Co-Host
No, that's not Tawny Kitang. That's in Cherry Pie. The Cherry Pie video. Wait, it's Bobby Brown I think is her name. I read her biography.
Brian Green
The girl from the Cherry Pie video.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Brian Green
Had an entire autobiography.
Co-Host
Uh huh. It's pretty fascinating. She dated was with a lot of rockers from that area.
Brian Green
Well, give me the Cliff Notes.
Co-Host
Oh, I read it like six years ago.
Brian Green
One thing you can remember that was kind of outrageous and crazy.
Co-Host
Well, she dated. She was dating Tommy Lee.
Brian Green
Okay.
Co-Host
And then huge cock and then he met Pamela Anderson and ditched her. Yeah, that's how it kind of starts off, I remember that she dated like Dave Navaro. She had a drug problem.
Brian Green
But as most of the people who were rock and rollers in the 80s.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Brian Green
Yeah.
Co-Host
So I'll go back. It's on my Kindle. I'll go back and take a look.
Brian Green
There's a series of movies called like how to Ruin Civilization or something like that. I. I forget.
Co-Host
Yes. No.
Brian Green
Do you know what I'm talking about?
Co-Host
About the punk.
Brian Green
The. Well, it was first about the punk and then they do this part two about the 80s hair bands.
Co-Host
Yes.
Brian Green
And I think there might even be a part of Western civilization. And so there's a service that you can subscribe to. Maybe I'll put a link to it if I can. Let me, let me see. I'll. If there's a check in the show notes, if you want to check this out, I'll. I'll put the link up there. You can get an app, connect your library card to it, and then you have access to tens of thousands of movies streaming.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Brian Green
And you rent it and it gives you like 48 hours to watch it. And then you can't watch it again for a month and it's free. It's just because libraries all across the country have signed. Yeah. So I watched the Decline of Civilization one and Part two. Part two is more fascinating than Part one, though. Part one is really good. Why is it fascinating? It's fascinating because it focuses on the 80s hair band scene in like 1985 in California. It's wild all over the. Yeah. In LA, but they go all over the. They talk to a lot of different bands. You do not know how many teenagers of that era were convinced, thoroughly convinced, that they were the next hair band. I mean, I'm sure this is not any different in any other age. I thought I was going to be the next veteran.
Co-Host
Right, right.
Brian Green
You know, and if you would have asked me back then, I would have had blind faith that that would have happened. I mean, if you really would have gotten inside of my head. Blind faith that would happen. But these kids are delusional. I mean, delusional and high. Right.
Co-Host
I've seen parts of it.
Brian Green
Some of the stories that are told are just fudgeing wild. That was such a wild time.
Co-Host
I know. And there's like that one guy that died of alcoholism.
Brian Green
Yeah.
Co-Host
There's a few of them, maybe.
Brian Green
Well, the. Who's the guy Pool.
Co-Host
There's like a pool scene.
Brian Green
Yeah.
Co-Host
With a bottle of booze and just.
Brian Green
Just nuts. I mean, Nikki Sixx was Fucking pumping the shit.
Co-Host
I read his biography, too.
Brian Green
Yeah. And who's the guy from Poison? Who's the dude from Poison? Ricky. Not Ricky.
Co-Host
Oh.
Brian Green
Do you know what I'm talking about? Yeah, the short guy with the spiky hair. Yeah, he was. I read a story one time about that. Somebody. Or no, maybe it was a video. Yeah, it was a video that somebody put together. It was a kid who lived with him for a period of time right after Poison was like. They saw their heyday, and then they were kind of splitting up and going their separate ways because they were creatively having differences. And he was explaining that. That guy who is. I want to make. We should say his name. Yeah.
Co-Host
Brett Michaels was kind of going his own way, right?
Brian Green
Yeah. Poison band members. Ricky Rocket. No, no, Cece Deville. Ricky Rocket was another one. But Cece Deville. Cece Deville is the guitar player. Him and Bret Michaels, you know, they were really kind of brothers in arms. But then they started to go their separate ways. Things were kind of taking a turn for the scene altogether. They really only had two or three years of, like, super fame, and then things were falling off, so everyone was telling them, go, take a break. Do your own thing. And he was trying to get his own band together. So he hired this kid, the kid, 18 years old.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Brian Green
Told him that he, like, the kid lived in Iowa, and he had seen him play one day at a show at a local place, and he said, come on, I'm starting a band. And I. You know, you're great on guitar and I love your vibe. And he essentially went to Cece's house and lived there for, like, six months while Cece did nothing but get fucked up on cocaine, grab burritos from the place down the street, and become increasingly paranoid and weird. Yikes, right? And, like, the way that this kid told this story, you really. It painted a picture. It painted a picture of, like, just a. Like, things just falling apart, debauchery. People were, like, coming to see his house and taking the paintings off the wall, like, stealing it right under his nose. Taking his cars, you know, never return. He's just so fucked up, he couldn't even see straight, Right? And that was the go go 80s for. And the go go 90s and the go go 2000s for Brian, you. And if you've been there, then you can kind of like, there's a show on.
Co-Host
I just watched it a little while back. It might be on Paramount about, like, the 80s bands of that time.
Brian Green
Oh, really?
Co-Host
It was a three part or something. I'll look at it. I'll send it to you. It was very fascinating. And it shows. Yeah. At the very end how. Yeah. Literally everybody thought they were. And then things changed. Then grunge happened and.
Brian Green
Well, no, what happened. What happened was Guns N Roses, Appetite for Destruction. That is what happened. That is the moment in my mind as a kid who was, like, just becoming really musically aware at the time. Super tuned into MTV and the local radio and all that other stuff and had been for a long time. What happened to me was I. Instantaneous. I'd never really loved hair rock, but I would listen to the Poison songs.
Co-Host
And Motley Crw, Right.
Brian Green
Yeah. You know, Aerosmith wasn't a hair band, but they kind of.
Co-Host
They went that way for me.
Brian Green
Yeah. And they had some great albums and some of that music still holds up today. But the rest of those hair bands, I just never really liked them. That wasn't my thing. I would much rather listen to, like, Third Base or Public Enemy or something.
Co-Host
Like, I was getting into that, too.
Brian Green
Yeah. And Run dmc, Beastie Boys. But then Guns N Roses put out Appetite for destruction in 88.
Co-Host
Incredible.
Brian Green
Fucking A. I didn't want to listen to anything else. That album. I had to buy three of those cassettes because I wore them out, I was listening to them so much.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Brian Green
Yeah. So this coming from a kid who bought Huey Lewis and the News as one of his first CDs.
Co-Host
There you go.
Brian Green
Well, Huey Lewis. Please tell me Huey Lewis ain't one of the greatest pop R and E. I know.
Co-Host
Poor Huey hearing right.
Brian Green
What an affliction to have. If you're like, you know, Huey Lewis Live at the Palladium. I think it's Live at the Palladium, which is one of the only, like, live concerts shot professionally of Huey Lewis in the News with the full horn section behind him.
Co-Host
It was so good.
Brian Green
Fuck, man. That's like. If you don't bop your head to that, then you're just not alive.
Co-Host
I mean, didn't he and Gwyneth Paltrow do a movie together?
Brian Green
Maybe. Maybe.
Co-Host
I think so.
Brian Green
Maybe come.
Co-Host
Right.
Brian Green
Yeah.
Co-Host
But he's also, you know, the soundtrack for Back to the Future.
Brian Green
Soundtrack for Back to the Future. Soundtrack for. What's the movie with Christian Bale. The murder movie.
Co-Host
Oh, oh, oh, oh.
Brian Green
American Psycho. Psycho. American Psycho. Huey Lewis in the News.
Co-Host
That's the soundtrack for that movie.
Brian Green
Yes, it is. He loves American. The Psycho loves Huey Lewis. Loves Huey Lewis. He murders to Huey Lewis and he talks about how Huey Lewis is the Greatest American rock band of all time.
Co-Host
I haven't seen that movie.
Brian Green
Yeah, it takes on a whole different connotation, like when, you know, Back to the Future, American Psycho, but either way the music is fantastic.
Co-Host
But his music was great.
Brian Green
Yeah, I had a wild musical taste. It varied greatly.
Co-Host
Me too.
Brian Green
When Appetite for Destruction came out. Fucking a right. Appetite for Destruction came out. And then Master of Puppets from Metallica and just forget about it. It was a. It was a one, two punch. And then shortly after that, 91, you know, they're playing Nevermind. And when Nevermind comes out, I didn't see a hair band since. Until Bret Michaels showed up on Rock.
Co-Host
Of Love, which for my sister and I watching that, everybody watched Rock of Love.
Brian Green
It was so good.
Co-Host
It was so good. What's the. What was the girl's name?
Brian Green
Oh, I don't even.
Co-Host
Her own spin off.
Brian Green
Yeah, she had her own spin off. She was great too. We actually watched two episodes of her. Daisy of Love. Daisy. Not Daisy Fuentes, who was another MTV house of fashion. Oh, my God. Daisy Fuentes. Daisy Fuentes.
Co-Host
She's still doing really well. I saw. I was watching one of my real estate shows where they're, you know, buy this, sell that, whatever, and.
Brian Green
Oh, she's a real estate girl.
Co-Host
No, it was her house. They were selling her a house or selling her house, something.
Brian Green
If you would ask me for a seven year period there, who. Who for me, was the most beautiful woman on earth? Daisy Fuentes.
Co-Host
Yeah, she was amazing. Yeah, she still looks great.
Brian Green
And she's latina, isn't she? Yeah. It's all starting to make sense now.
Co-Host
That's right.
Brian Green
Think about it. It's all starting to make sense.
Co-Host
Your formative years.
Brian Green
My formative years. I was formulating all over Daisy. Let's just put it this way. A lot of 21, a lot of epms over Daisy Fuentes.
Co-Host
You got. You got in your 21.
Brian Green
I. Oh, 21, like in two days. Yeah. I was a kid. That's the thing that I look forward to least about raising boys is that like 10 year period of let's have sex with the, you know, the door jam. Let's fuck anything that moves. It's just boys. It's what we go through. I'm sorry. You know, you like women or you like men or you like whatever. It's just one of those things. God blesses you with it.
Co-Host
Hormones are real.
Brian Green
Yeah. With a raging case of hormones. All right, let's take a break. When we get back, I'm gonna apologize and we're gonna fix something made wrong by Brian just a short week ago. All right, we'll be back.
Rachel

Rachel
Buying a car in Carvana was so easy, I was able to finance it through them.
Brian Green
I just.
Rachel
Whoa, wait. You mean finance?
Brian Green
Yeah, finance.
Rachel
Got pre qualified for a Carvana auto loan, entered my terms and shot from thousands of great car options, all within my budget.
Dermalogica Representative
That's cool.
Rachel
But financing through Carvana was so easy. Financed, done.
Brian Green
And I get to pick up my.
Rachel
Car from their Carvana vending machine tomorrow. Financed, right?
Co-Host
That's what they said. You can spend time trying to pronounce financing or you can actually finance and buy your car. Today on Carvana financing, subject to credit approval.
Brian Green
Additional terms and conditions may apply. Yeah, Chrissy, found it. It's nothing but a good time.
Co-Host
Yep. Paramount plus three part docu series three.
Brian Green
Part docu series about the hair bands in the 80s. Okay, I'm going to watch it while I'm editing tonight. All right. Apologies from Brian. If you don't mind, Chrissy, a mea copa from me. A couple of weeks ago we did a video on Teresa Caputo because we believe we think there's going to be a piece of merch with piggy fronting on it.
Co-Host
Right?
Brian Green
We don't know 100%. We'll know when the like you will when the merch drops. We think we know, but we don't know for sure. But piggy fronting will be one of the options we believe on some of the merch that you can get piggy fronting on. So I said let's go back and review a Teresa Caputo video because we hadn't done one in a while and I thought that I got a video where Dr. Oz spent an episode talking about Teresa Caputo's powers and testing them through brain imaging. Now what we reviewed it was. That episode was referred to, but it was not the actual episode. Well, I found the episode where they did the brain imaging, and I'd like to say I'm sorry I didn't have it available back then and make it available to ourselves now. I should probably.
Co-Host
Apology accepted.
Brian Green
Thank you. I appreciate it, Chrissy. So here it is. Teresa Caputo getting scanned. And let's see what kind of wordsmithing they do here to make this make sense.
Dr. Amen
So what do we want to accomplish today?
Chris Joy Hoadley
You know, I'm not that kind of person that I need to know how things work.
Co-Host
She's nervous.
Brian Green
Yeah, she's nervous. I'm not that kind of person. Where I actually need to understand whether or not I'm full of shit. Oh, my God. If I had these powers, I would have done this years ago. Yeah, yeah. But now she's just coming up. She didn't come up with this idea, by the way. I think Dr. Oz came up with.
Chris Joy Hoadley
This idea, but I know that my brain just doesn't work like everyone else is.
Brian Green
Oh, we know too. Oh, we're well aware.
Chris Joy Hoadley
The things that I say and the things that I do is prompted by spirit. And I think it's hard for people.
Co-Host
Tell me. The doctor is looking at her like, mm.
Brian Green
What's the guy's name? Michael something.
Co-Host
He's like Anon or Amon?
Brian Green
Michael Aman or Michael Anon. He's a world renowned.
Co-Host
He is. I've read a couple of his books, actually. Yes, they're interesting. He came up with this scanning.
Brian Green
Yeah, this type of scanning that checks which part of your brain is doing what when he's an older gentleman. When he was on the show last time, like with the last episode with Oz. Yeah. What? All he said was that her prefrontal cortex was overactive when she was doing these readings. Chrissy and I did a little bit of chatgpting to figure out that your brain does the same thing when it's lying. So he's not really. Okay, let's just.
Co-Host
He's just giving the facts.
Brian Green
Yeah, he's giving the facts. He can't interpret exactly what's going on in someone's brain.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Damn. What I do, it just happens. I can't explain it. And, you know, everyone's like, well, there's no scientific proof. So, you know, I wanted to see some type of scientific proof to show that my brain does work a little differently.
Dr. Amen
What we're gonna do is we're.
Brian Green
Oh, my God.
Co-Host
It's just that her brain works different. Doesn't mean.
Brian Green
Doesn't mean anything. Yeah. People who are autistic or neurodivergent, their brains work differently. I guarantee, if you scan my brain, it'd be working differently. There'd probably be, like, a big couple patches in the middle.
Co-Host
Dark matter.
Brian Green
Be like a magic mushroom growing from one side of it. Ayahuasca dripping out of my prefrontal cortex.
Dr. Amen
Measure what goes on in your brain in sort of a normal state. And then when you're reading the quantitative eeg, that's sort of the primary one we're gonna do today. It looks at electrical act.
Brian Green
Okay. Okay. Like she understands any of it. Uh huh. Uh huh. Gotcha. All right. As long as you can figure out that I'm not lying. Okay.
Dr. Amen
And I think it would be really interesting.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Yeah.
Dr. Amen
To do.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Because I know something happens.
Brian Green
She's trying to convince him like she tries to convince everybody else that something is magic about her.
Chris Joy Hoadley
I know things are happening, but I always say it. I am dumb as.
Brian Green
He is not convinced. This is the. This is the look of. This is the look my dad used to give me when I was lying to him. And, yeah, we've all seen.
Co-Host
Your brows are furrowed.
Brian Green
Yeah, your brows are furrowed. Your. Your lips are pursed a little bit. You squint, your eyes smile. Ye. Because you're like. Are you really trying to get that one over on me? The Epstein files. What? They disappeared. What?
Chris Joy Hoadley
The doorknob. My brain doesn't retain knowledge. I just know things.
Brian Green
I don't know why I know Daniel. Amen is his name.
Co-Host
Okay. Yeah.
Dr. Amen
Look on this scan.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Okay.
Dr. Amen
Okay.
Brian Green
So let's go. He just shut her up. He's like. Oh, okay. Okay. Let's say. Yeah. Yeah. Congratulations.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Okay, great.
Brian Green
Check it out with Theresa.
Co-Host
He had a thing on the back in the back of his office that said wear a helmet, exclamation point. And she is.
Brian Green
She is wearing a helmet. Yes. She's literally taking his advice minute by minute.
Dr. Amen
Okay.
Brian Green
So let's go.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Okay, great.
Brian Green
Check it out.
Dr. Amen
With Teresa, we're actually measuring the moment by moment activity in her brain. So what I'm gonna do today is read Teresa's brain while she reads spirit.
Co-Host
Thanks.
Brian Green
She reads spirit. How much did you get paid to do this, Daniel? Come on.
Teresa Caputo
We're gonna put a cap on your.
Dermalogica Representative
Head and insert some gel.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Oh, God. Okay.
Brian Green
Oh, God. Well, this is an actual hair. Yeah. I better take the electrodes out of my brain. Ready?
Co-Host
Ready? Yeah.
Dr. Amen
So this is how we're gonna measure.
Teresa Caputo
Music.
Brian Green
Yeah, I know. It's like. It's all a very. It's a comedy from the 1940s.
Dr. Amen
The electrical activity in your brain.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Okay.
Dr. Amen
And in your cap, there's 20 electrodes.
Brian Green
Oh, my God. This is how Theresa should look all day, all night.
Chris Joy Hoadley
So weird. I can't get electrocuted right now.
Co-Host
Yeah, they're gonna pitch you on there and electrocute you.
Brian Green
Yeah. He's like, I don't hear that one every time.
Dr. Amen
Now what she's gonna do is put gel in each of those holes. There are about 10 of them.
Brian Green
Ooh.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Co-Host
There's, like, little stuff in my hair.
Brian Green
Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Co-Host
What did you think was gonna happen?
Brian Green
I'm piggy fronting. You're piggy fronting. Gel all over me, I think. Doesn't this interrupt the flow of her spiriting or whatever?
Chris Joy Hoadley
There's a lot of gel in my hair. I don't mind putting on this cap, but this gel is disgusting. This is. Oh, my God. That feels so weird.
Dr. Amen
The metal has to get a good connection with your scalp and the gel.
Brian Green
Look at how much gel they're putting.
Co-Host
In there just to get through the hair.
Brian Green
Yes, that's exactly right. That's what happens when you have a helmet for hair. Literally.
Dr. Amen
Theresa connects the metal to your scalp.
Brian Green
Jesus.
Dr. Amen
You're gonna have a lot of goop in your hair.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Goop in my hair? I mean, anything in the name of science.
Dr. Amen
We're gonna have somebody come.
Co-Host
She's giving commentary. So is this, like, on her show that she's showing this?
Brian Green
I thought it was Dr. Oz, because that's what I Googled.
Dr. Amen
And you're gonna do a reading.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Okay.
Dr. Amen
It's all gonna be good.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Well, like, I don't know. I feel.
Brian Green
Look, she's got clips on her ears. It looks like she had a traumatic brain injury. No offense.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Something happened to you, and you. I felt like that you were like a miracle. Like, doctors feel that you should have died or you shouldn't be here. And here you are. No disabilities, no ailments, and you're perfect.
Teresa Caputo
I did. When I was younger. I had a febrile seizure, and I had choked on something.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Believe it or not, you died and then came back. How do you connect? Because I keep getting a pain on the left side of my brain. The left side of the front of my head. It's so strong right now. This is crazy.
Teresa Caputo
My stepfather had a stroke.
Brian Green
My stepfather had a stroke. Oh, my God. Okay, I think that's making a little bit of a leap. And by the way, I. I Have to tell you this. I don't know what the exact statistic is. Let's. Let's see here. There is a statistic out there that a lot of natural births, a lot of them don't go according to plan. Yeah, it's not. But a small number. And having been through it, it's. It can happen and it does happen all the time. It's not particularly abnormal, a febrile stroke. I think a febrile stroke has to do with a fever, actually not having to do with choking, but I don't know, maybe I'm. A febrile seizure. Excuse me? I think is what they say when your temperature raises really high and then you have. And that's not unusual for a child.
Teresa Caputo
By the way, on the left side of his brain and had it. Portion of his brain taken out.
Brian Green
Had a portion of his brain taken out.
Co-Host
How does that happen?
Brian Green
I didn't know they still did lobotomies. What?
Chris Joy Hoadley
How do you connect with the V name?
Teresa Caputo
Virgo.
Chris Joy Hoadley
He says he was your everything.
Teresa Caputo
Yes.
Brian Green
I don't believe this. I don't believe this.
Co-Host
Yeah, I would prefer that it just be a random person instead of this all set up.
Brian Green
Yeah, this is all set up. And there's a lot of editing going on here. They're not showing the entire conversation.
Teresa Caputo
He was love of my life. Passed away. He always was. From the first time that I met him, he was my everything. Eric's full name was Eric Vargo. And everybody called him Vargo. We dated on and off since I was 19. He was loving just a goofball. And I miss him every day.
Brian Green
Mm hmm. That's really sad.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Yeah, he was a bit of a romantic.
Teresa Caputo
Yeah, he was the ladies man.
Chris Joy Hoadley
He just started nibbling on my ear.
Co-Host
I'm like, oh, my God.
Brian Green
Oh my God.
Co-Host
He's nibbling.
Brian Green
He's nibbling on your ear. He's nibbling on your ear, Teresa. You fucking asshole. Honestly.
Co-Host
Oh my God, he's dead.
Brian Green
The love of her life is dead and you're making shit up. The love is like the love of her life is nibbling on your ear. I thought you said you don't feel physical things, so would he do that?
Co-Host
I'm like, what is that?
Brian Green
Who does that? What is that? Who does that? Look at the doctor. The doctor's like, you're taking it way too far, Teresa.
Co-Host
And he's like, she'll know it's me.
Teresa Caputo
Eric and I had a great physical chemistry. So him nibbling on her ear was a huge validation.
Brian Green
So him fucking Some other chicks was perfectly acceptable. We had a great physical chemistry. He was with a lot of other women.
Teresa Caputo
I was like, he's here. Okay.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Okay. So he asked me for you to close your eyes. Cause he wanted you to feel him. So I don't know if you saw him or if you saw colors.
Teresa Caputo
I saw colors in the beginning.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Perfect.
Teresa Caputo
It was hard for me to close my eyes at first, but as it went on, I just. All the good memories.
Chris Joy Hoadley
That was him. He gave you a piece of him. And did you actually feel your heartbeat?
Brian Green
Yes.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Know that that was his soul that was helping your heart to beat? And I.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Brian Green
Oh, my God.
Co-Host
He took a break from nibbling the ear.
Brian Green
Yeah. He's not nibbling the ear now. He's helping your heartbeat. Yeah. Knowing that. No, that's him helping your heartbeat.
Chris Joy Hoadley
His thumbprint on your heart. So know that through everything that you.
Brian Green
Do, she is literally making shit up as she goes along.
Chris Joy Hoadley
His memories will live on within your heart. So know that when you and I.
Co-Host
Have to say, you know, through all of this, she. You know, these people are looking for something and she's providing that, of course. And she's saying she always makes everybody feel better, I guess. You know what I mean? Like, there's never an instance where she's like, yeah, you really fucked up. Yeah, the spirit's pissed at you.
Brian Green
Well, yeah, no, that's true. She never. Yeah, she never goes to a place where it's like, you know, you.
Co-Host
It's more like everything's okay, you murdered your mom. Love you.
Brian Green
Yeah, obviously. But that, to me lends less credibility to what's going on because, you know.
Co-Host
Well, yeah, no, I know real life.
Brian Green
Is not like that, but. Yes, but that is what Teresa Caputo is. I think at her base, nature is a woman who fabricates things in an effort to manipulate other people's feelings, to be more optimistic, positive, I don't know, gentle about a great loss in their lives. Some I. And I bet that's how she justifies what she does to herself. She probably justifies it at night when she goes to sleep saying, at least I'm helping people out. But I have to imagine that there is some kind of damage that this causes long term to a believer who really, really, really wants to believe that someone. I am not saying.
Co-Host
Well, again, as we've said, there's a lot of people out there and a lot of them aren't.
Brian Green
Well, yes.
Co-Host
And I can't imagine that through all the years, all the readings, all the things that she has done for People that there wouldn't be somebody along the way that was like, no, no, no, no, wait, wait.
Brian Green
Yes. I can't imagine single person.
Co-Host
I want to talk to them again.
Brian Green
Yes. If somebody I had lost.
Co-Host
You have the connection.
Brian Green
Correct. And that's the part where I think this is like. That's one of the things I think could be really detrimental about this is if Teresa is the person. If Teresa is the cell phone which gets you connected again to the one that you care about so much that you just won't answer your phone call, aren't you doing everything you can to get back to get that cell phone in your hands again? Yes. Do I believe that there are dimensions and planes and energies outside of our understanding? A thousand percent. I believe it in my core. I just don't.
Co-Host
Not ones that are nibbling ears.
Brian Green
Yes, that's it. I don't believe that Theresa is getting her ear nibbled by spirit. So weird heartbeat.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Know that that was his soul. Why it was became stronger. And I felt him wrap himself around you. So if you felt warm or you felt a chill, you felt something warm.
Co-Host
Warm or a chill?
Brian Green
Yeah, warm or a chill. Either you were cold or you were hot. Somewhere in between, maybe you didn't feel anything at all. That was him wrapping himself around you. I felt it. You don't have to. I felt it for you. Oh, there he is, sticking his finger in my ass.
Co-Host
He's spicy.
Brian Green
He's playing with my labia. He is frisky.
Co-Host
He's romantic.
Brian Green
He's romantic. Oh. One in the pink, two in the stink. Look out. I feel someone nibbling on my nipples. Was that him? Was he like that? Oh, oh, oh. I had a dirk in my mouth. I just imagine this ghost, like full humping Theresa from behind, like.
Co-Host
Oh, it's crazy.
Brian Green
Finally someone who gets me closed know.
Chris Joy Hoadley
That that was his soul entering and leaving your physical body. Do you know someone that had the miscarriage or the termination?
Teresa Caputo
I did.
Brian Green
All right. I think this is a good place to take a break and we can all gather ourselves. I mean, there's nothing funny about that. I don't mean to say that. It's just the way that Theresa and I don't love how this is edited. I really don't. And I think.
Co-Host
And they're sitting down, like across from each other at a desk.
Brian Green
Yes. I think this is a little too on point. I would. And we. We know. At least not in this video. We. No one is told how this lady showed up, why she showed up, where she's from. Does Theresa's.
Co-Host
Right.
Brian Green
I bet Theresa's people have an understanding of who's coming in the door, because that's probably an agreement for the television production. This is.
Co-Host
She would have never aired it.
Brian Green
Never? Never. This is a television production.
Co-Host
And so that's the thing that's so great about the cold readings when we watch those, is because she makes things fit.
Brian Green
Yes.
Co-Host
And then. Oh, I see something. Oh, wait, that's not you.
Brian Green
It's you.
Co-Host
It's you. Yeah.
Brian Green
Yeah. That's the thing about cold readings is they go much worse for her. This. It's obvious that she's stretching. She's doing broad questions and trying to zero in. When she does these personal readings on her television show, they always seem to be 100% spot on, but they're highly edited. You don't know how she found the people. And you have. You have to make the assumption that the production team knows who's going to be there ahead of time. They understand who they're dealing with, and it's likely they have information that they have fed to Teresa or are feeding to Teresa, because it just seems so. Don't you think Teresa would be the most scientifically studied human being in the course of history if any of this was even a little bit true? This doctor, who, while well respected, as in, at least in any of the videos I've seen, has never said, this is proof of something happening.
Co-Host
Extra spirit.
Brian Green
Spirit, yeah. That's like spiritual. He has just said something happens different to her brain. But that could be because she's lying, because she puts herself in a meditative state, because she's overthinking, overworking, trying to figure out what the next thing to say is. It's not particularly unusual what her brain is doing. It's just doing it in a way that the doctor can now read. So. But again, think about this. If Theresa was actually talking to Spirit and she in fact cared this much about science and people having scientific proof, would she not be the most studied person in history? The CIA, by the way, has. Does research on this all the time. It's well documented. What? And they have found proof that people can remote view and send conversation from one person to another without saying into psychic abilities. But those people aren't on fucking TV with big hair.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Brian Green
All right, we'll be back.
Rachel
Okay. You're probably wondering why I, Rachel, have taken over the voice duties at tcb. It's pretty simple. Astrid asked me to shut Brian up, even for a minute. Brian Green
All right, we're back here with Teresa Caputo doing a reading. I don't I'm not going to call this a cold reading. Probably a very warm reading of a girl while her brain is attached to a suction device. All right. And she just asked if she's spot.
Co-Host
On with everything so far.
Brian Green
Yeah, so far it's 100% accurate, but also highly edited. So here we go.
Chris Joy Hoadley
No regrets. And whose birthday is it? Is it your birthday? Whose birthday?
Teresa Caputo
Our birthdays are very close together. He's April 15th, and I'm April 16th. And he also passed away on our birthday.
Chris Joy Hoadley
And he says that. I'm sorry. Was he far when you. When he died?
Teresa Caputo
Yeah, he was about. Yeah, he was about an hour away. Okay.
Chris Joy Hoadley
He brought me through the departure. I didn't feel. I was at a.
Brian Green
Okay, how did he die? Tell us.
Chris Joy Hoadley
High rate of speed. I felt that I was driving, and then all of a sudden, my car just kind of veered off and slowly crashed into a tree.
Co-Host
What?
Brian Green
No.
Co-Host
There's just no way.
Teresa Caputo
Five years ago, in a car accident, on his way home from his birthday. I wish that I was with him that night. I do. It was my birthday as well, and I was out with my friends, and I feel like I was having fun that night when. When it happened.
Co-Host
I mean, it's a very sad story.
Brian Green
It is a terrible story, and I feel terrible for this young lady.
Teresa Caputo
It gives me a sense of a big regret.
Brian Green
Yeah.
Co-Host
Her ears are sticky.
Brian Green
She's got clips on her ears. That's why she feels like someone's nibbling on her ears. They have electrodes attached to her earlobes.
Chris Joy Hoadley
He also showed me that when he died, you felt his soul after he left, because he says, I did come and say goodbye to you.
Teresa Caputo
There was a moment where I felt something was off, like I felt.
Co-Host
While you were out having fun with your friends at the party.
Brian Green
Yeah. Like maybe. Okay.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Chris Joy Hoadley
So know his soul.
Brian Green
I don't want to make fun of her misery.
Co-Host
No, no, no, no.
Chris Joy Hoadley
To say goodbye.
Teresa Caputo
Okay.
Chris Joy Hoadley
He says, I want her to know that I. Because I said to him, why do you keep making me feel the blow that.
Brian Green
Yeah. When did you say that? She's full of.
Chris Joy Hoadley
To the front of my head. And he said, because I want her to know that I died instantly.
Brian Green
See, here's the thing that's interesting about Teresa, too. And if you've just tuning into the commercial break, we've done lots of these videos, so we kind of get the rhythm of Teresa and what she's all about. We've heard her talk about her special little powers before, and one of the things that she says is that she doesn't hear people talking to her directly. She gets a feeling. But she often says.
Co-Host
He says he's Telling me.
Brian Green
He's telling me. He says, she also says she doesn't get physical touch. She can't physically be contacted, but she just said that someone was nibbling on her ear. So the rules bend and break according to the moment when she needs to pull somebody in further. It's an old parlor trick. It's what it is.
Chris Joy Hoadley
And he says, you feel if you were with him, you would have been able to protect him and maybe he wouldn't have died. Is that correct?
Teresa Caputo
Yeah. He fell asleep at the wheel, and he was wearing his seatbelt.
Chris Joy Hoadley
He wants you to know that even if you were there doesn't mean that you could have prevented his departure. Our destiny in life is set. Unfortunately, this accident still would have happened. He says, but what if you did drive and there was still an accident and I departed? Where would have guilt lie then? He says, no regrets. He wants you to know that you were his last thought when he departed. He says, because I always thought of you. You are very special. And he said, please tell her, don't cry for my soul. He says his soul is with you always. He actually said to me, close your eyes. I want to show you something.
Brian Green
It's my dick.
Chris Joy Hoadley
And when I did that, I can see you holding his hand and just walking.
Brian Green
No, that's a sweet thought. It's like, I don't know, kind of like one of those cards you would get at a grocery store. It's. It's a very nice. Very nice thought.
Chris Joy Hoadley
He said, please tell her that I will walk with her for all the days of her life.
Teresa Caputo
I'm feeling relieved. Theresa validated the fact that I could have. Could not have changed him if I was there. I could not have changed what happened.
Chris Joy Hoadley
He said, I want you to be able to embrace life with happiness and joy. And when you do leave, his soul will be there to greet you.
Teresa Caputo
This reading has actually taken away the pain.
Co-Host
That part is good.
Brian Green
Sure.
Co-Host
If she's a real and not an.
Brian Green
Actor, I have to agree with you there. I do not want to knock somebody's real grief, but I am a little bit suspicious about this whole thing. It feels to me to be a little cooked up.
Teresa Caputo
I was carrying around with me.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Very nice to meet you. Good luck to you.
Teresa Caputo
So my heart is lighter.
Co-Host
And then that I feel like, boom, talk to you later, dead love of my life.
Brian Green
Hey, listen, I'm gonna keep your boyfriend tongue in my ear, and I'll talk to you later.
Teresa Caputo
And I feel like I'll be able to. To love better.
Co-Host
He's like, damn, My brain is crazy.
Brian Green
I know. He's like, she. This is the same thing we see with schizophrenics. But how do I make this sound good for television?
Dr. Amen
All right, so this is going to be the interesting one.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Oh, the big reveal.
Brian Green
Watch.
Chris Joy Hoadley
There's nothing there.
Brian Green
Oh, she's. She's preparing. She's setting everybody up for nothing to happen.
Chris Joy Hoadley
Did anything happen?
Dr. Amen
The big thing we discovered is that her brain is clearly different.
Brian Green
Okay, so we saw. Yeah, I know, but we. It goes to TLC commercial.
Co-Host
This was her show.
Brian Green
Oh, you're right about that. This was her show. Okay. This is tlc. The. The sky version, the BBC version. But in any case, what we did here last time, we now connect the dots, is that what he said was the prefrontal cortex of Teresa's brain works in overdrive as she's giving this reading. Chrissy, they didn't. He gave no additional context. He gave no additional context. That's all he said.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Brian Green
Was that. Here's a person that's talking normally to their friend. Not a lot of. Not a ton of prefrontal cortex. Here's Teresa while she's giving this reading, a lot of prefrontal cortex. And so Chrissy and I went and used CHAT GPT to understand it a little bit deeper. And Chat GPT said that the prefrontal cortex is used when lying, when being creative, when making up, when having, like, when you're doing critical analysis, when you're trying to think of something, when you're trying to reason through something. So it could be that Teresa is just storytelling in her own head and that's why it goes into overdrive. Or it could be that she is trying to remember and reason through things that she knows she needs to, like the bullet points, the beats that she needs to hit when she is reading this particular person. If you ask me, and I don't know this for a fact, this particular reading seemed very set up to me. Very set. Even the way the young lady was reacting to the way the Teresa was saying things seemed.
Co-Host
Yeah. This is not a person off the street. This is just, you know, already she just. The interview cuts to just this woman that's just sitting in this office.
Brian Green
Yes.
Co-Host
Ready?
Brian Green
Yes. Now, I know from my own personal research online that there are tens of thousands, probably millions of people who think Teresa Caputo is real and everything she has to offer is true, and that there is definitely. She is definitely making connections. I don't know that to be true or not true. I suspect it's not my Own eyes, ears, and amazing abilities of deduction. Tell me. It's probably not. But if that's what you believe, that's what you believe. Hey, listen.
Co-Host
You know, Exactly. Each to their own, I guess if it's helping somebody.
Brian Green
I have some land in Florida I'd like to sell you and some merch.
Co-Host
Okay, that's true.
Brian Green
God bless you, Teresa, wherever you may be. I don't like what you're doing, but, you know, if it's real, if. If what? If that girl's story and her reactions and everything was real. Well, at least she didn't walk away. Yeah, she's alleviate. Her. She's alleviated. She's been alleviated.
Co-Host
She's been alleviated from pain.
Brian Green
From pain. There you go.
Co-Host
Regret.
Brian Green
Okay, all right. Do we all. Do we all feel better now? We all feel like we got something out of this science. Science. What's that? Oh, man, I love it. I do love me a good Teresa Caputo video. And this one, a bit more serious than most are the ones we do.
Co-Host
I mean, it's like the mountain monsters thinking that they're actually catching monsters.
Brian Green
That's right. But here's the difference. I know that when the mountain monsters, when the cameras turn off, I totally know that the mountain monsters don't believe their own bullshit. Do you know what I'm saying? They know they're acting. They know Teresa has to put this on all day and all night long. And I'm sure everyone she comes in contact with is asked, wants a reading, is asking her. But she's fabulously wealthy again.
Co-Host
I mean, it must be very crowded in her head and in her space. What she goes through the life with hearing.
Brian Green
Yeah, bunch of ghosts nibbling on her ear and piggy fronting her head and all that stuff. All right, merge, drop and TCB minus. Pay attention. Coming. And we'll let you know here very shortly. Podcast Summary: "Teresa Is Arousing Spirits!" The Commercial Break | Episode Released: July 24, 2025
Episode Overview
In the July 24, 2025 episode of The Commercial Break, hosts Bryan Green and Chris Joy Hoadley delve into a critical analysis of Teresa Caputo's spirit readings on television. Balancing their signature chaotic humor with sharp skepticism, the duo examines the authenticity of Caputo's abilities, blending personal anecdotes with broader discussions on paranormal phenomena.
1. Current Events and News
Tomorrowland Festival Fire (02:58 - 05:19)
The episode kicks off with a discussion about a recent fire at Belgium's renowned Tomorrowland Festival. Bryan expresses disbelief and amusement at the destruction of the elaborate stage setup:
Bryan Green (02:58): "The multi-day fest in Belgium was set to kick off in just a few short days, but a fire broke out Wednesday and took the entire stage with it."
Chris joins in with a mix of awe and criticism:
Chris Joy Hoadley (04:45): "It's very intricate, it's extraordinarily large... Honestly, I got nothing against DJs, but it's kind of a little silly to put a stage together that big and then you're going to have a small little dude up in the middle of it."
Pete Davidson Expecting a Baby (05:19 - 06:35)
Transitioning from festival fiascos to celebrity news, the hosts celebrate Pete Davidson's impending fatherhood:
Bryan Green (05:35): "Pete and Elise were first linked back together in March... Now they are expecting their first baby."
Their playful banter highlights Bryan's skepticism towards Pete's previous relationships:
Bryan Green (06:12): "Pete's been through a few of them, actually. But now, thank God you are settling down, Pete."
2. Merchandise and Future Plans
Merchandise Drop Announcement (06:35 - 09:38)
Bryan and Chris enthusiastically announce The Commercial Break's first-ever merchandise drop, emphasizing limited availability and exclusive designs:
Bryan Green (07:48): "It's going to be a two-week window. You can either buy it then or you don't buy it."
Chris adds humorous urgency to motivate listeners:
Chris Joy Hoadley (08:15): "Nani nonny boo boo. I haven't heard that in a while. I like that."
TCB Minus and Streaming Plans
Looking ahead, the hosts reveal plans for a new streaming initiative, TCB Minus, where they intend to watch and comment on notoriously bad movies:
Bryan Green (12:12): "We're going to do something original. So we have picked probably the least known worst actor... we're gonna watch it beginning to end."
They tease a potential collaboration with platforms like Twitch and YouTube:
Bryan Green (12:12): "We're going to stream Chrissy and I talking about the movie while it's playing."
3. Apology and Correction
Clarifying Previous Content on Teresa Caputo (27:25 - 28:25)
Bryan issues an apology regarding a prior misrepresentation of Teresa Caputo's spirit readings. He acknowledges the mistake and commits to providing accurate information:
Bryan Green (27:43): "I should probably make it available to ourselves now."
Chris Joy Hoadley (28:26): "Apology accepted."
4. Main Segment: Analyzing Teresa Caputo's Spirit Readings
Initial Reading and Hosts' Skepticism (49:00 - 55:19)
The heart of the episode revolves around a televised spirit reading by Teresa Caputo. Bryan and Chris dissect the reading, highlighting inconsistencies and questioning its authenticity. They reference Dr. Amen's analysis of Caputo's brain activity during the reading, suggesting overactivity in the prefrontal cortex could indicate fabrication or creative storytelling rather than genuine paranormal ability:
Bryan Green (55:19): "The prefrontal cortex is used when lying, when being creative, when making up... If Teresa was actually talking to Spirit and she cared this much about science, would she not be the most studied person in history?"
Chris underscores the lack of transparency in the production of such readings:
Chris Joy Hoadley (57:26): "This is not a person off the street. This is just, you know, already she just... They have to make sure Teresa has the information ahead of time."
Detailed Analysis of the Reading (49:00 - 58:44)
During Teresa's reading, she recounts the tragic death of her partner, Eric Vargo, and describes sensory experiences she attributes to his spirit. The hosts express sympathy but maintain a critical stance:
Bryan Green (55:22): "Chat GPT said that the prefrontal cortex is used when lying... So it could be that Teresa is just storytelling in her own head."
Chris Joy Hoadley (58:05): "Each to their own, I guess if it's helping somebody."
They question the legitimacy of the emotional support provided by such readings, suggesting potential psychological impacts on believers:
Bryan Green (40:51): "Teresa is a woman who fabricates things in an effort to manipulate other people's feelings... I bet that's how she justifies what she does to herself."
5. Conclusion
Final Thoughts and Teasers (58:44 - 60:54)
Wrapping up, Bryan and Chris reiterate their skepticism while acknowledging the personal solace some listeners might find in spirit readings. They tease upcoming content and encourage listener engagement:
Bryan Green (60:43): "Save your ducats, kid. Get your ducats in a row. Break open your piggy fronting banks."
Chris Joy Hoadley (60:44): "Follow us on Instagram at the commercial break and watch all the episodes on YouTube.com the commercial break and TCB podcast.com for all the audio, video and your free sticker."
They close with heartfelt yet humorous farewells, staying true to their irreverent and casual podcast style.

Chris Joy Hoadley (08:15): "Nani nonny boo boo. I haven't heard that in a while. I like that."
