Amy
Bless your heart. Oh, yeah. This is what it's going to be, girl. We're going to hang out.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, you look amazing.
Amy
I could stare at you today. Are you kidding? I couldn't believe it. What's going on? The world is not your trash can.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I slept till 2, smoking cigarettes and drinking amp energy.
Amy
Lord have mercy. All right, Dale, what's our drink of the week?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
All right. Today's drink of the week. Pretty simple. It's. It's my screwdriver. It says right here, Dale Junior's screwdriver. One and a half ounce of High Rock vodka. Two ounces of fresh squeezed orange juice. If you're pouring it out of a jug, nobody's gonna know. Half ounce of soda.
Amy
Soda water.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Soda water?
Amy
Like club soda?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. And. And you. You don't. If you don't have soda water, don't. Don't worry about it. Forget about it. It's still a screwdriver. You combine all those things in a glass with ice. If you don't have ice, no problem. And you can garnish it with a slice of orange. But I don't do that.
Amy
Why don't you do that?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Amy did. Amy likes.
Amy
I like to decorate my glass. Yeah, Amy likes her garnish festive and nice.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm not a garnish guy. Like, if, you know, when I'm ordering water, I don't want the lime or lemon.
Amy
Why is that?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
If I'm drinking a beer, Something like that. Yeah. I might definitely get the lime.
Amy
You might definitely.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's an exception.
Amy
It's delicious. Drink light and refreshing. You can visit highrockvodka.com to find a bottle of High Rock near you. And please also remember to drink responsibly. You must be 21 or over.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's right.
Amy
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
All right, so let's get. Let's get going.
Amy
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We got a lot to talk about, man. We've been doing some stuff.
Amy
We have been busy. It's been a busy week.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What's on the table here?
Amy
I don't know.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It looks like a card. So why don't we just.
Amy
You want me to open.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I don't know what it is. This isn't a surprise.
Amy
This isn't from you?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No. I don't know. It says Amy.
Amy
Yeah, I figured it was.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Just check it out.
Amy
Maybe considering it's Mother's Day coming up.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It is. We're going to talk about that, too.
Amy
There's also some beautiful orchids sitting here, which are.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Amy's a big orchid fan.
Amy
Yes, I like orchids.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
She's orchids. Let me put that in my Amy note.
Amy
Yeah, you should have that in there already.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It should be in there, but it's probably not.
Amy
It does say happy Mother's Day. Oh, it's from Kelly. See, even she remembers what I like.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Amy likes orchids.
Amy
You're such a punk. Oh, that's so sweet. Thank you, Kelly. Yes. Mother's Day is coming up, guys. It's important to make sure to honor your mom.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's right.
Amy
And your wife.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Here's a life hack. Life hack. For all the boyfriends and the husbands out there. Start a note about all the things your wife likes. The size of her shoes, the clothes that she wears, the color of her eyes. All those things.
Amy
The color of her eyes should not have to be in your birthday.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Put her birthday in there. All the things that are very important to remember. Make a note. And that way, bam.
Amy
Do you put the things in there. You're not supposed to do it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You could even categorize it in like specific moments like Mother's Day birthday. And think about. Okay, here's a list of things that.
Amy
Here are her expectations on her birthday.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Here's her expectations.
Amy
Yeah, it's a good idea. If you can't remember. You should damn sure have a note. You might want to start it before your eight year anniversary, though.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You might want to start it before.
Amy
Your might want to just start it right when you get married.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You might want to start it before your seventh anniversary.
Amy
We've been married eight years.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Eight.
Amy
Yeah. Eight wonderful years.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We're coming up on our eighth.
Amy
No, we just had eight.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Man, it's hard to math, isn't it? Yeah. Because don't take this the wrong way, but getting married on New Year's Eve comes with its own set of challenges.
Amy
It ruins your ability to really to math. It define what the year is. It's hard to go backwards.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yep. I have to go. All right. It was a.
Amy
It was a 16.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
16. Yeah. We're not good at it.
Amy
It's not New Year's Day, it's New Year's Eve. So, yes, we have had a lot going on. We had Isla's birthday party. It was a whole lot of fun. We had a ton of kids at the house, a bunch of little girls. She wanted to have a very girly birthday party. But considering the she wanted a pool party, we avoided that just because you never know when it's gonna rain.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Danger.
Amy
Yes.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You gotta have a lifeguard.
Amy
Gotta have a lifeguard. Which we can do.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We know a couple lifeguards and they take it super serious.
Amy
Yes. But it, you know, it might rain, so it's just not a good idea to plan a pool party. So we ended up doing it down at the saloon, which she was very against. She's like, mom, it's just so brown in there. Like. Yeah, I know it's brown, but trust me, I can make it way less brown. And so I worked on it for like a week. And I hung pink bows like it was draped to the nines and like, girly everything. And so the girls had a lot of fun. They had face gems and they made hats. Kelly had sent Kennedy to do Hat presses. So they made hats and they had a bouncy house and had a big old time.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I get thrown off guard by how elaborate the party is.
Amy
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yep.
Amy
Do I take it too far?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No.
Amy
I made a promise to a little seven year old girl that it would not be brown. So I kind of like it snowballed. Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I don't know. So this is reminding me a bit about. This reminds me exactly, like when I found out how much a gown cost and I was. You were like, hey. I was like, hey, going to this thing. You're like, I'm gonna buy a gown. I'm like, great. This was our first time. This is the first time that I'm in this process with Amy. It's not the first time we ever went to an event together where she had to wear something nice, but it was the first time I remember us jointly like, okay, you're gonna buy the gown, we're gonna go do this thing.
Amy
Is this for the banquet?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Might have been. I remember it was that orange gown.
Amy
Oh, that one was expensive. I let you pick that out. I let you pick it out. It was an Oscar de la Renta dress. And he bought.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Choked when it came. When I learned the price, I was like, oh my God, what? And then. And I was like, you know, and she's as. She's like, I'll never, you know, and I learned, you know, most likely never going to wear that gown again. And I'm like, oh my God, can you sell it? She's like, hell no, I'm keeping this thing. You crazy. I'm like, oh, it just sits in the back of the closet.
Amy
It's not depreciating. And one of our children might be able to wear it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I know I freaked out. Out and. But I got some advice that. That's like, hey, dude, that's what they cost.
Amy
You know, just what it is.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's just what it is. And I was like, oh, my God. And then I learned how much couches cost and all kinds of things. And it's just like he didn't pay.
Amy
A damn bit of attention before I came along is basically what he's saying.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No, it was. Ignorance was bliss.
Amy
I was like, exactly.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Hey, we're going to remodel this room or you're going to have. We're going to remodel your house or we're going to put all new, you know, all the things that ever have ever happened to me. I'm like, I don't care. Don't tell me nothing about it. Just do it. And then when I had to start.
Amy
He had to start trusting me to have the same. So this awareness.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So now, like the birthday parties, the Easters, the holidays, all of Amy's family, and I've said it before, Amy's family celebrates beautifully all these moments. They, they. Everybody feels appreciated. All the kids get all the things together, nobody's left out. And they. These, they're a blue collar, hardworking family and they go to the fullest to deliver great Easters and holiday experiences for all of the kids in the family. And I've. And so it's not just, just us, you know, it's not like I look at it and I go, man, is this spoiling Isla? Is this spoiling Nicole or. But this is Amy's tradition. Like, that's her Texas heritage.
Amy
Here's how I think about that, though, too. Last year we had a birthday party at the bounce, the jump place. And it was the most simple thing. Very strict, very easy.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It was.
Amy
And so we don't do this every year.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No, we don't.
Amy
But also she's going to get to a point in an age where she doesn't even want to have a big birthday party like this. This is for, like, little kids.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, I'll say. I love when we use the western town because we built that thing to raise hell and party in, and we did. And then it sort of fell in disuse or, you know, we just weren't needing it and didn't have a purpose for it. And I felt so foolish. Well, it's been rejuvenated, having even built it and spent all that money on it. And now we're like using it for really all these. We're using it for our foundation birthday parties, family day for Junior Motorsports and stuff like that.
Amy
Just family reunions for us.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Partners and companies are coming over and bringing 150 employees and having events.
Amy
Weddings. We've had some friends weddings.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. So, I mean, it's this awesome space now, but yeah, you did. You did a good job. If she, she had nothing to complain about. That party was. Was awesome. You had a hat station that Kennedy and Amy's. Amy's. I mean, Kelly's kids come by and had a hat station making hats with patches and stuff. They had that little press and so all the girls were crowded around picking out their patches and their hats and getting their stuff made. And we had food. You had this thing outside on the stage where these ladies came to paint their hair and do all kinds of makeup and all kinds of I mean, it was cake and cupcakes and.
Amy
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
All the dads hanging out, drinking bull. I had a little bull session with some of the dudes, so there's a little bit something for everybody. It's good. You did a great job.
Amy
Thank you, honey. I appreciate that. Isla said she had a blast.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yep. I want to get to the F1 race.
Amy
Me and you went to the birthday party on Saturday, and Sunday morning we woke up and flew to Miami for the F1 race, which was out of control. So good.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We partnered up, become friends with folks at Hard Rock, and we've been down to the hotel in Florida in around Hollywood or Fort Lauderdale, wherever that is. You fly right by this thing when you come into the airport and you see this big, giant guitar. It's amazing, man. It's really cool. And the hotel's really nice. Really nice. They're building one in Vegas as well that I can't wait to. To see. But they, they. We've gotten some pretty. We've got some merch with them that they're. They're. They're selling. We've got some. We're doing some high rock vodka stuff with them on the menu. And so we're having a lot of fun with that. And so they invited us out. We have some friends at Red Bull as well because of our relationship now with Connor Zillich, who's in svg, who will have Red Bull as a sponsor in some of the stuff they're doing in the NASCAR world. So we had a couple different places to kind of hang out, and. And everybody's been asking me about my opinion on the F1 thing.
Amy
Well, what is it?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I was. I'll say this, man. I was. I was excited to go because Amy was going. It's this cool experience that I've never. It's something I've never done that I'm going to do with Amy for the first time. Those are very.
Amy
Those moments are actually kind of rare.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Rare. And so, yeah, so that was going to be cool. The food is really good. The hospitality's awesome. All the things that fans will touch and engage with is really, really good.
Amy
Very thoughtful. Everything's beautiful. The grounds are nice. Everyone's dressed. It doesn't matter where you're sitting, what you're doing. Like, everyone is dressed and it's Miami, so, like, even the scantily clad are well put together, if you know what I mean. So the environment is just exhilarating.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, it's good. It's fun. I mean, I wasn't As I wasn't. The racing was pretty good up until Max got passed. So Max was kind of holding up the McLarens and that was exciting to see how they were trying to put the passes together. And once he fell to third, it, you know, the race was pretty much over. Even though they're still halfway half. Half of the race to go now, there were some things going on for the Die Hards that they could see happening and Hamilton and some different things going on in the back of the field in the middle of the pack that were interesting to the Die Hard fans. But it was easy to like clue zone out, you know, from the race itself and, and get more, you know, get more food and drink and hang around and BS with the people.
Amy
Yeah, we kept trying to spot celebrities from. We were watching the whole start of the race from right up right above.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, the, the amenities are awesome. They had this big swimming pool, bungalow, all the hospitality.
Amy
Swimming pool had mermaids in it.
Unknown
Really?
Amy
Yes, it was like a scene. It was really cool.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
But I'll say this, and I'm being completely honest. I know I'm a, I'm a NASCAR fanboy. NASCAR to me is the greatest thing in the whole wide world. Always will be. Of course it is. I grew up around it. But like I, I'm more in. I'm more entertained by the NASCAR product by a bit now. I was a bit surprised how entertained I was by the F1 product, especially when Max was trying to defend. So that was really any. If it had been anyone trying to defend for that lead. I'm a Max Verstappen fan and got to meet him, which was awesome. So that was cool to meet him, then watch him race and watch him have to try to hold off these faster cars and be so determined to do it, even though it was a futile effort. They were going to get there. Right. But. So that was fun to watch. But I am more entertained by the NASCAR product and.
Amy
Well, we knew going into it that it was like an event. It wasn't just about the racing. There are so many different pockets of things to do. I mean parties, there's. There's like techno club music playing at all times, even up to the point of race starting. The fans are like fist pumping and on their feet. Everybody, it feels like everybody's at a beach club. You know what I mean? Part of that's probably because it's Miami, of course, but the environment was just like full of energy and everyone was excited. It was really cool.
Unknown
I've heard there's also like, all weekend. There's a lot of concerts.
Amy
Oh, yeah, there's concerts and things going on.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's like a. Kinds of parties at some point, especially in a city like Miami. So not only is F1 themselves organizing concerts and so forth, but, like, the hotel had things going on. This hotel had things going on. This. This event space had something happening that they were trying to draw Right. People to that was. That wasn't even total. You know, the F1 had nothing to do with. Right. So there was tons of opportunities for things to. If you want to. You know, if you want to have a hell of a weekend, you go get you a hotel room and you just do all the things, and then you go see the race and. And I'm sure. And I would do that again. What I did feel like I was seeing, like, the Americanized version of F1. F1 is global. F1 is more obviously more European. I want to experience that. I want to go to Spa or one of those racetracks in Europe and see a race and see how it feels different or maybe feel more traditional. And it's. I would say it's like, I love sushi. But, you know, when you really get down to the hardcore sushi fans, they're like, oh, you gotta go to Japan to get real sushi. I'm like, that's kind of way. I probably like, you gotta go to Europe to get real F1. So maybe me and Amy need to do that.
Amy
I don't know. Let's go to Monaco. That would be fun.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Monaco. I've been to the city and so that wouldn't. I would rather go somewhere I've never seen, But I know the best way.
Amy
To watch them race in Monaco.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I will. I will try to get you to Monaco at some point. And you might want to do it when there's not a race because the city's kind of small and the track literally takes over the entire town. And so you'd be limited to be able to kind of move and move about, you know, to get to certain spaces. So you might want to go there when the race ain't happening because it's just such an amazing place.
Amy
I kind of feel like the F1 environment in Miami, it reminded me of going to the Derby, because the same thing. There's stuff going on all over town. Everyone's dressed. Everyone's, like, minding their manners. But, you know, it's like just one big old party. You might not even see a horse race, especially if you're in the infield, because the Hedge is so tall, like, you might not see a thing, but everyone's having an awesome time.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's true. That's a good point. It did have that vibe. You know, everybody was there. Just have fun. The other thing that I thought was really interesting. So in nascar, if there's. You know, you pick any race, Texas, this past weekend, there's cars in relatively close proximity, each other all over the racetrack at all times, and there's passes for position in the. In the middle of the field and toward the front or toward the back, there's passes happening, right? And we. We celebrate some of those passes or get excited about some of them, but, you know, we don't really. The crowd doesn't just start. The whole crowd doesn't stand up and start to cheer at the mere potential of a pass in NASCAR, but that's exactly what happens in F1. So they have the DRS, which means within. When a. When a car gets within a second of another car, the rear spoiler opens up and allows. Takes off all the drag. And that following car can make this massive run really down the straightaway. So if you're watching the race as Max is trying to defend the McLarens, the McLaren's wings would open up and the drag would go away, and that car would get this really badass advantage on that long straightaway. There were a couple different long straightaways. The front stretch where we were at, and then over where we were with the Red Bull folks at the. That. That was the end of that straightaway. That's how that was. The. That was the point where he was most vulnerable, because they had this advantage, and the crowd knew if the car was within a second. As they're watching those cars snake through a couple corners before the long straight, the crowd was like, he's going to be in the zone. They start cheering before they ever even throttle up to go into that long straightaway. The crowd's going, yeah, here it comes. Here comes. And the cars are running down the straightaway, and maybe Max blocks him at the last minute, and no pass even happens. And then they calm down. And then. Then as they're starting to approach the next long straightaway, if that car's in that zone, they start cheering again, and it's like, what is going on? They're getting excited about the idea that this pass could be happening at the end of this next straightaway, which is. So.
Amy
The process of the whole thing is neat.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's neat, but they. The way they enjoy the event is so, so different.
Amy
They're not mad at their drivers. They're not. Like, I didn't get that energy vibe from anybody.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
At the end of the race, there was a little back and forth between Norris and Max. Really didn't say, but Norris had a few words for how Max was driving. And so at the end of the race, there was a little, you know.
Amy
Saltiness between the drivers.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. But I'm sure the fans share that, because I. You go on social media and look at the responses to the clips of the. What Norris was saying and stuff, and there's. The fans are, like, one side or the other.
Amy
Yeah. So you just don't feel that, though, in the environment, like, nobody's getting massively booed, like, how much. You know what I mean? There was none of that. It was just pure joy. It was pretty neat.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It was really. They said, hey, time for the pit walk. And I'm like, we're. Let's do the pit walk. Don't know. Don't know what we're doing, but we're gonna do it. And we start hustling down toward. Toward the pit row, and everybody's going, like, the whole. Everybody is, like, herding cattle. Yeah. It was like.
Amy
There's tiny little spaces, like, shoulder to shoulder together.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, yeah.
Amy
Just trying to get through this to this opening.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Everybody's stepping on everybody's feet, and we get out to pit road, and it's just a sea of people just kind of sh. Shuffling down pit road from car to car. And you could take pictures. They were pit practicing. The teams were, like, changing the tires and doing some practice stops and stuff. And.
Amy
And that's loud. That is so loud. I don't expect that. Oh, yeah, because they do all four tires at once.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
The other thing that was interesting to me was the footprint of the actual car is massive. So I look at a. I look at the wheelbase or. Or the size of a stock car, a cup car or an Xfinity car, and then I look at an Indy car. The wheelbase and the width and all that stuff is relatively in this sort of same ballpark, give or take, and. But the F1 car is massive. Super wide, super long. The tires are just bigger. Everything about this car is just larger than you think it is. Watching it because we've been around Indy cars and stock cars all our life, and we may have been next to them and stood next to them, and we can see this car here and cars out in the garage. If you rolled an Indy car through here, it would be almost like 25% larger than anything in this and sort. In terms of the width, footprint, it's. They're large cars and they. We watched the start of the race right from the front straightaway, and I was like, Amy, we're gonna stand here and watch them come by at full speed. It's gonna be like the time we were standing down on the tree at the drag race. Man, that's the car. It's gonna, it's gonna. It's going to scare out of you. They're going to come by here so fast. Just going to be like.
Amy
It was not quite as dynamic, was it?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
They came by and it's like.
Amy
But they. It's like you don't blink.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
They're going. They're going like 200 mile an hour.
Amy
Watching them start from a dead stop. But to take off was the coolest part because they're going from zero to. I don't even know how fast when.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
They'Re going down the front straight away.
Amy
As soon as they take off, they're.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Going, you know, they're going freaking fast. But it didn't look as fast, really.
Amy
Yeah, well, because they're not next to each other either. Like, there's no action happening. They're just smaller cars.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I don't know. Like if the smaller they get, the, the faster they would look.
Amy
I don't know.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I guess that's how RC cars are. You get a quarter scale RC car versus like a 12, I guess. Yeah, the tent scale looks like a missile. Like, don't get hit by that thing. The quarter scale is going the same speed and you could jump over it, no problem if it came at you. Hey, it's Dale Jr. Did you know that we've got brand new merch from our star stripes and beers collection available now? We've got tanks, teas, beach towels and more. Just in time for summer. Check it all out@shop.dirtymomedia.com getting caught in.

Speaking of missiles, where's this going? Isn't that term for. For jugs? There's been some, there's been some men on the Internet, specifically athletes wearing what looks to be like a sports bra.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What does that do with missiles?
Amy
I don't know. Usually bras hold missiles. Like what are we doing here? Why is a man wearing a freaking bra?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Bras hold missiles. Okay, so I was watching, I was watching this soccer match and the, the team wins. And when the team wins, some of the guys pull their jerseys off, I guess maybe to hand it to a fan or whatever. And this guy pulls his jersey off and he's wearing sports bra.
Amy
I mean Shocking.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And I was like, what is that? And then I saw Jaden Daniels, my quarterback.
Amy
Yes.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Washington Commanders. He had one on outside of his hoodie.
Unknown
Really?
Amy
Yes, at gray hoodie, black sports bra.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
At a voluntary practice or whatever. Mini camp or whatever's going on right now. And I said, we were on the plane going to. To the F1 race. And I said, amy, what is that? Like, what's it. What's he wearing? What? I mean, it looks like a sports bra. It's shaped like a sports bra. Do you know what that is? And she goes, oh, I don't.
Amy
It does. It looks like a weird fashion choice, which I, you know, could totally, finally, totally admit to not understanding.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, it turns out it's like a GPS tracker.
Amy
Connor told us it was like a for. Utilitarian device.
Unknown
Yeah, for what? What possibly could that benefit it?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Like, it helps you track your workout, your heart rate, all things.
Amy
I'm like, well, what's it doing on the outside? It's not touching your skin. Also, there's so many other options, like heart rate tracking, like watches, bands, whatever. That don't look like a woman's bra. Yeah, it's a two strap, scoop neck situation. It's odd.
Unknown
I wouldn't choose that.
Amy
It seems like an odd choice, but.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It seems like they're all choosing it.
Unknown
Somebody.
Amy
Somebody's getting paid to choose it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, maybe.
Unknown
Yeah, somebody.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's kind of like. What were those golden things that, like, Jerry Rice was pitching?
Amy
The copper bracelet.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Copperware. Like the sleeves, copper fit. This is the new trend. Right.
Unknown
That's why I see people with compression socks. I don't know, they're up to, like, their knees.
Amy
Those compression socks.
Unknown
Yeah. I don't get that. Don't understand why. What that is.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I don't know.
Amy
It feels like a lot. Yeah. I don't know.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Sometimes when I drink a lot, I need some compression socks.
Amy
Yeah, totally. We should wear compression socks around the keys.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Amy
Yeah. So we're in the plane and Connor's trying to explain this whole thing to us. And none of us are really figuring out, like, how to buy into it. But Connor. Connor had a. Yeah, he had another fun tidbit about the Red Bull hat. And Dale, it's like the elusive ungettable get now because you have to be a Red Bull driver.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Athlete.
Amy
Athlete, period. You have to be a Red Bull athlete. Sorry, not driver. To receive a hat with a Red Bull logo on it. And you're like, crowned with your hat. So we get up to the Red Bull suite at the track and there's a guy, a streamer gamer. Yeah. So he's not. He doesn't speak English very well, but he is, like, mega excited. And we just like stumbled upon him getting crowned with his hat. And they gave him a jacket and the whole thing. So we got to watch him get super excited about him. We're like, connor, what is happening here? He's like, oh, well, he's, you know, a Red Bull athlete. So they just gave him his hat. And Dale and Connor has a Red Bull hat.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And it's. That's the hat he wears. It's already starting to get a little dirty on the brim. That's his Red Bull athlete hat.
Amy
And that's how you can tell too, when you're in an environment like that, who they all are. So it's very cool. It's such a simple thing, but it really rubs Dale's, well, ego because I've heard about this.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
This is something, I mean, I've heard about the athletes getting the hats, but they, they were like, hey, man, you and Connor Zillich are going to do a little content about the Red Bull soapbox race. So I host with Mike Bagley on Discovery this Red Bull soapbox race. And it's out now. You can go stream it on Discovery. And basically it's, it's hilarious and a lot of fun to watch if you want to check it out. But so I've been doing a little bit of work. Red Bull's been fun. They're a great iconic brand. I'm loving, I love, I'm loving their back in NASCAR and because I want them to succeed. But we had this little content grab on my property in my gas station that I have on my property where we shoot a lot of stuff. And we're sitting there and I walk in and I'm like, I had some other hat on like this. And I was like, do y' all need me to change hats? I'll put on a Red Bull hat. I don't care. Connor goes, oh, you can't wear a Red Bull hat. You're not a Red Bull athlete. And I was like, who the are.
Amy
You, you know, telling me what I can.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Tell me what I'm aware my own property. I was like an 18 year old kid going snap back at me about where, what I'm wearing.
Amy
And sweet kid is like trying to tell him what the rules are. Like, oh, no, don't break the rules, you know, because it's important to him.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm like, I should have snatched Dale's Feathers. I so mad. But he. I was like, all right, yeah, I get it, man. You know, I kind of knew about this phenomenon. I'm like, yeah, no problem. And.
Amy
But all the while, he's like, every Red Bull he sees, he's like, I see him.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I know they. But it was cool, you know, to. It is a big deal to those athletes. It is a big deal to those guys that become part of that brand and part of that team. And to watch this guy sort of get his crown.
Amy
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And he got it from Max.
Amy
Yes, he got it from Max.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Like, Max Verstappen.
Unknown
Big deal.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Top of the chain in terms of Red Bull athletes. Right. When you say and. And this guy, this gamer, I guess he has, like, millions of followers on his Stream, on his 150 million followers. Crazy.
Amy
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It was cool to see. He was like, his. There were some of his friends with him, and they were so happy for him. Like, it was this really big moment.
Amy
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
In this guy's life.
Amy
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
But.
Amy
All right, well, here's a story that will keep you from zoning out. Tuesday morning, I am. I wake up with toothache. I am clenching my teeth super hard at night for whatever reason. So I made the time to go by. Wait, the drugstore.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Wait, wait, wait. There was one thing that happened at the race that we forgot to talk about.
Amy
What?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Jim.
Amy
That was Jim.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Dude, this is hilarious. Everybody tune in.
Amy
All right, so we're walking. We're going to do our grid walk, and there's this sweet gentleman that's in our suite that's gonna, like, kind of guide us down there. Just make sure we don't get lost. We know what we're doing.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Really tall guy. His name is Jim.
Amy
We think his name is Jim. We didn't pay attention. The handshake and. And when he introduced himself. So mind you, there are four of us and one of him. So all four of us are calling this man Jim. And we're chirping, jim, Jim.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Where we going, Jim? As we're after you, Jim, we're going all the way. We do the whole pit walk with him.
Amy
We're trying to get his attention, though, at one point, because he's, like, hung up looking at something, and we're like, jim, Jim, Jim, over here.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We're over here, Jim.
Amy
We're like, you know, we're saying it quietly because we're not 100% sure.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I was 100% sure, because I'm listening to them and I'm like, guy's name's Jim. They're calling Me, Jim, at one point.
Amy
He'S walking right close to him. We're going back upstairs. We're going back towards the exit. And he's like, right behind you, Jim. And I see Jim chuckle. Well, Jim's name is not Jim. It's David.
Unknown
Oh, my God. It's not even close.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And I'm like, at this point, it. I'm calling Jim, it's Jim the rest of the day.
Amy
He took it like a champ, though. It was hilarious.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I looked at Amy and the rest of our group and I said, all right, are y' all going to change to David? Are you staying with Jim? I'm staying with Jim.
Amy
I just said, excuse me. Or I just. Just avoided name calling at all at that point. Oh, my gosh. It was embarrassing. Then we went from he didn't care.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
At all calling him the wrong name to like, overcompensating, like, calling David for no reason. Like, oh, look at that. Look at that spot on the ground. Dave, watch out. Don't step in that.
Amy
Right behind you, David. Thanks for taking us.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
David, watch your step.
Amy
Had a great time today, David.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Escalator. David, watch your step.
Amy
You're the best, David. See you next time, David.
Unknown
That's hilarious. So funny. You probably made him think. Did I say Jim when I was introducing myself?
Amy
Yeah, we just did, like the whole mind flip on him.
Unknown
Absolutely.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We were around this guy for an hour, or if we were with him an hour. We called in Jim for 60% of that. Yes. Oh, man. We felt stupid.
Amy
He was the only person we knew, so we had to kind of be tethered and chit chat with him.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He was our guy on the pit walk.
Amy
Yeah. So we chirped Jim at him quite a bit.
Unknown
I'm never gonna forget you guys.
Amy
No, he's not.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm sorry, Jim. He's Jim.
Amy
All right, all right. So Tuesday, I'm taking Nicole to school, but I have a toothache, so I've got to stop by the drugstore and get some Oragel. Well, I was gritting my teeth super hard at night. Sometimes I do that if I don't wear my Invisalign or my trays to keep my big old teeth straight. I grit my teeth. My jaw was hurting so bad, I had a headache up through my eyeball. So I go by the drugstore, I'm getting some more gel. We find a bluey and a bingo toy. We've got those. I'm not trying to make a scene. I'm really in a weakened state, so I'm at The register, self checkout, Everything is fine. We're about to leave. I turn around, she's right behind me, ready to go. We get out the door and she turns, I turn to, like, grab her hand to get into the parking lot, and she goes, ah. And she's got a lollipop the size of Texas that's got a lightsaber on the bottom of it. And I'm like, where did you get that? Mommy didn't pay for that. We got to go back inside. And she's like, I don't want to go back inside. I want it. I'm like, no, you're not gonna have that. And we're doing this in the parking lot. No. And I take her arm. You know how I do. She's got a death grip on this lollipop. And we take her back and she has to show me where she got it. And it is a very, very low bucket of candy right there next to the self checkout. So of course she grabbed it, but she stole that damn thing. Oh, damn, I was so sad.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Did you tell the lady?
Amy
No, but they were watching me make her put it back in there, so. Course they knew that we walked out with it. I mean, there's cameras everywhere in there. There's a camera on you as you're doing the self checkout. There's probably footage of her taking.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, my gosh, I want to see that. Yeah, we need to have that for the shows.
Unknown
We need to get that.
Amy
But I'm like, nicole, you surely.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Circle K, send that to us.
Amy
No, it wasn't Circle K. It was cvs.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Cvs, send it. We need it for the show.
Amy
I was like, I remember doing that as a kid a couple times, you know, in the grocery store back in the 80s. Like Brock's had this giant display at the grocery store and like all the little buckles and you could fill. You could fill your little bag up and then weigh it at the checkout. And they had like those strawberry candies and the butterscotch and all the really good old ones. So I'm pretty sure I lifted a couple pieces of candy.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
But dang, I might have talked about it on here. Forgive me, but I'm sure, I know I've said it on, on one of our shows, but when I went to military school, I was there for two weeks. You had to stay there for any new kid couldn't go home. They had to. They had a two week in, get used to it, period. And so the first off weekend, they're like, hey, there's, a 15 pasture van. We'll take you to the mall, whoever wants to go. And, man, like, we don't have. We're scrounging. Like, we have 20 bucks. Like, every kid's got, like, 5, 10, 20 bucks in their pocket. We weren't ready for this. Nobody knew about it. Our parents didn't, like, leave us with a bunch of money, right? We're. We're seventh, eighth, ninth graders at this military school that you lived at. You lived at the school. And so it's like an hour and a half up the road. And so we. I've got a roommate that I just met a week ago. Don't know this freaking guy, right? And he. He's in here for some reason. I don't know what that reason is. I know I'm in here for being a bad kid. Yeah, all of us. All of. It's like an assumed thing. Like, you're in there because you're a troublemaker. And so we go to the mall, and me and him get into the first store you go into. Right inside the entrance is the. Is the drugstore, right? Usually there's the drugstore right on the first. Right inside, we're in this drugstore, walking around, and I'm, like, thinking in my mind, all right, I got $15. Okay, this costs five. This costs four. This cost. I'm gonna get this, this, this. So I'm, like, piecing it out, and.
Amy
You'Re gonna spend everything you've got.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, I'm gonna buy what I can buy because I need. I want to take snacks back to my. I got nothing in my room, right? We had a bed, a desk, and the military clothes we weren't allowed to wear, like, civilian clothes, right? So we had, like, our three shirts and three pairs of pants and a couple pairs of socks. Like, your room was bare and it was a brick. It was freaky. So I'm walking down this aisle, and I come up to. I see my roommate, and I walk up to him, and he's eating. You know those little pretzel sticks you dip in chocolate?
Amy
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He's eating one of those in the store. In the store. And I'm like, wake up. I was like, oh, hey, what are you doing? Nothing. And he sits it on the shelf. And I was like, you're not gonna eat the rest of that? And he goes, no. I was like, you ain't gonna pay for that. He goes, no. And I was like, holy.
Amy
This is why you're here.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You are so brazen. Wow. And, like, I I love. I want to do that, but I don't have the balls to do that. And. And then there was a. I lived on the street with mom before our house burnt down. I lived on the street. And these. The kids that lived across the street from us, there was a gro. There's a gas station at the end of the. End of the road, man. And they would walk in there and take stuff all the time.
Amy
Really?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
They would just put in their pockets and walk out. I could not bring myself.
Amy
Well, that's good. I'm glad to hear that. I'm glad to hear that. Military school is just like a. Let's just straighten you up a little bit and not like, holy smokes, I'm stealing candy every day.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. One day I saw one of them boys across the street wearing my shoes.
Amy
I was like, oh, what'd you do about that?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I don't remember. I was like, five.
Amy
Five?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Amy
And you stole your shoes?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I lived with my mom till I was six or.
Amy
Yeah, that's right. You're little.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So I'm like five years old, and I'm like, those are my shoes. I went to, man. I went when I was in military school. Had my watch stole. I had a. Some Timex, nothing crazy, and a pair of running shoes.
Amy
It seems like that would be a very hard place to get away with stealing anything. Like, it's obvious whose is whose. Right?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I know so. Well, I never. I mean, the stuff that I lost, I never ever saw again. I thought for sure, like, okay, there's, you know, 90 kids here. Somebody stole my shoes. I'll see them somewhere.
Amy
Well, the watch, like, on outing day, probably went to the pawn shop.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, well, I. The. The thing about my shoes was there wasn't a whole lot in the military. There wasn't a whole lot of things in military school that you could turn into fun. Everything was pretty gray, black and white. You know, it was very, very drab and. And chore driven and so. But there were some things you could make fun. And we had PE Class, and the PE Teacher made us run around this big, giant field. That was my chance to turn it into a race. Right Now, I was little. I was short. Shortest guy at the school by far. And so I had short legs, and I had to take twice as many steps as anybody else. If we're gonna run this, run these laps. So I don't know how, but Teresa took us shopping one time, and I ended up buying these running shoes that had these metal spikes that you screwed in.
Amy
Oh, damn. Oh, wow.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, yeah.
Amy
Real track shoes.
Unknown
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Because we would go running, and it would be in the morning. It's due on the ground, you'd slip. And I'm like, man, I'm gonna get me some shoes with some cleats. And those are the. I found. I was like, well, damn, those are precisely what I need. And somehow or another, I got trice. Somehow I got Teresa to buy them for me. And I'm probably seventh grade at this point. I take them shoes out there and I hauled ass and I got so much traction, and I ran. I mean, I'm like, I'm a seventh or eighth grader running against, you know, 11th and 12th graders. All my buddies that are my age are way back, and I'm up in the top five with the. With the older kids. And the coach or the PE Teacher even said, man, man, you. You do pretty good having to take twice as many steps as everybody else. Next day, shoes were gone. Oh, man. Somebody took my shoes locker in. In the.
Amy
Do you think it was the coach? No, the coach wouldn't have made you.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Why would you Shoes?
Amy
I don't know. Because that's true.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Why would he just not say, don't bring these back?
Amy
I don't know.
Unknown
He didn't want to make.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We weren't competing. It wasn't a real competition. It was just PE Class race.
Amy
It was just in your mind that you were having a race.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Guys, in my mind, I made it a race.
Amy
I don't know.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
My freaking shoes got stole. Who? And I never saw them again. What are you gonna do with those? There's, like, a specialty, unique thing that you would never. You can't wear them walking around. They got spikes on them.
Unknown
Yeah, I'm surprised you didn't see them.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I know. And I never saw him again.
Unknown
Oh, man. Those things got sold.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.

We got a question for, for you, Alex.
Unknown
Okay.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
On the way home from the F1 race, I was eating an orange flavored lifesaver cert.
Amy
Lifesavers.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Lifesavers, you know the arms. Orange flavored ones that are like creamsicle.
Unknown
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh man, they're, they're awesome. And so I have a bunch of Those in the plane. I've got a tooth on the bottom here that I chipped a long time ago. And that chip, that repair broke off on the, in the plane ride home. And I'm like, ah, darn it, you know, now I gotta call my dentist and go. And so we get home and I get up in the morning and I call him. 7:30 on the way, taken out of school. And he answers and I'm like, hey, man, I got a little thing. I'm gonna come in whenever I can. I'm wide open today. Wide open. Wednesday. He goes, 11 o' clock today. Good. All right, see you then. Come in there, sit down the chair. I take Nicole with me when Nicole sits in there, sits in the room and they get in there. Didn't even numb it up or anything, just fixed it. And I'm like, I appreciate it, man. Thank you. And so he's got a very good.
Amy
Relationship with his dentist because he gets into a pickle quite a bit.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. And so I call him and be like, hey, man, I got this thing. Or, you know, I've. My dad had a lot of crowns. I think I took. I took some of his DNA in terms of the teeth. And I've got a few crowns myself. I didn't take very good care of my teeth when I was young. And so when we were making our list for our wedding, obviously we were like all the family, all the friends to check, check, check. Everybody. Okay, we got everybody. And then there were two people that we invited that were not in the traditional circle. And it was our therapist who we both, I think, would equally credit for the success of our, you know, union.
Amy
Absolutely.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And my dentist or our dentist.
Amy
Our dentist. Yes. We realize as you get older, like, there's certain people that are really important in your life. Your dentist is in the top five of that list. He is your doctor, your dentist, your therapist. Yeah, it was kind of a. Just a funny thing. And we've all made friends. The kids go to this dentist now too. So, like, it's just a. He's a family friend.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Awesome. His name's Brad. We talked about him on Del junior Download. Joking with Mike. You're gonna get married. You're not, but you're gonna get married. You're planning a wedding, you're gonna get married. What person not in the circle. What's the non traditional person you're inviting to your wedding?
Unknown
Oh, easy, barber. I was. I've been going to for like 20 years back home. I go to him every time I go back home. To New York. Go to him. Known for like 20 years. He saw me grow up, basically.
Amy
Yeah.
Unknown
Yeah.
Amy
He's basically kind of the same. Yeah, it's in the same vein.
Unknown
Talk to him more than some family members. I mean, that's.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's a perfect answer.
Unknown
Yeah.
Amy
My baba.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So, yeah, there's these people in your life. You're like, yeah, you're not blood, you're not family. We didn't hang out. I don't go to the bar and drink with you. You're not a pal for. From school.
Amy
There's nothing extracurricular happening.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I see you at your work where you. Where you do your profession, and that's our relationship.
Unknown
It's maybe a 30 minute to 45 minute interaction and that's it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
But they are very, very so important you value them.
Unknown
Yes. 100.
Amy
He's literally come in on like a Friday or Saturday to help one of us if we've cracked a crown or something. Wow. Yeah, he's. He goes above and beyond. And he's got little. He's got kids too, so he understands.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I had a root canal a long time ago and it was great. And I was like, awesome. That wasn't. That wasn't a problem at all. Fast forward like 20 years later. That tooth is like giving me some problems. It's bothering me and. And I go to my guy and I'm like, man, feeling a little something here. I don't know what's going on. We get in there and did some X rays. They take these little, like little tiny miniature saws and they go down there and they drills. Yeah, well, they drill, but they also.
Amy
Medieval tiny bits.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
But they also have these saws that they go down there to the. In the root. And they saw in the tooth to get the. To get all of the root.
Amy
I think we've lost. You've lost everybody.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Sorry.
Amy
Everybody is laying on the floor now.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Twenty years ago, this guy broke one off in there. What? A little tiny end of that bit was in my tooth.
Amy
How about that?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He just left it. He left it. And. Wow. And so my guy's like, oh, yeah, I see what's going on. And I was freaking out. I'm like, I'm gonna lose this tooth entirely. I'm gonna have a fake tooth. I've got to get a stub put in there. And all this weird, you know, Dale Jr. Spiraled. Spiraled out of control. And he's like.
Amy
Fixed, cleaned it out.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm like, whoa. Things. I've been carrying around that thing for 20 years.
Unknown
That drill bit in your mouth for.
Amy
20 years, at least.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Unknown
That's crazy.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
How did we get to talking about this?
Amy
You just start talking. You know how that goes. All right, let's play a game.
Unknown
Let's do it.
Amy
Do you want to tee us up, Tim?
Unknown
Tee it up.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Unknown
This is called Guess that. Gen Z slang.
Amy
We're gonna be really terrible at this.
Unknown
This is, like, going around on social media. There's all these weird sayings that, you know, Millennials, Gen Z, everyone's got their own little pocket. I think the new one is Gen Alpha. People born 2010 and after.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Wait, what?
Amy
Oh, there's a new.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
There's already a new gen. Yeah, because.
Unknown
They'Re at 15 now.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
How do they get to freaking Gen Alpha?
Unknown
I don't know.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Because Alpha is like, the top is like top two.
Unknown
They gotta start over. They went Gen Z, now they gotta go back to A, I guess.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, they could have been like, jin, any word with an A.
Unknown
Well, they just stop. I'm millennial.
Amy
I'm technically a millennial, too, believe it or not.
Unknown
Really? I think we talked about this for.
Amy
Each time, like, one year there in the cusp.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Alpha, man. They're gonna take advantage of that.
Unknown
Yeah. So here's how it works. I'll give you guys a.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Use that again against us.
Unknown
I'll give you guys a slang term, and you guys will take turns guessing what it means, and I'll reveal the real definition after. So our first one is. Put the fries in the bag, bro.
Amy
Put the fries in the bag.
Unknown
Put the fries in the bag, bro.
Amy
Fries in the bag. Put the fries in the bag.
Unknown
What do you think that means?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What do you think?
Amy
Is that. Is that, like, the same as Give me the tea and with some gossip?
Unknown
Not really.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I think it means finish. Get. Get to the point.
Unknown
Yeah, kind of. That's closer than that one. It's. When a person is addressing something, they're talking for too long. It is kind of get to the point.
Amy
Put the fries in the bag. I'm so gonna say that.
Unknown
It's insulting. Yeah.
Amy
Oops.
Unknown
The next one. It's giving.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Huh?
Unknown
It's giving.
Amy
It's given.
Unknown
It's giving.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Giving.
Unknown
It's giving.
Amy
It's giving like it's giving something.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Why are you laughing? Really? Oh, something that's entertaining me. It's. It's.
Amy
It's giving. Ing.
Unknown
Yes.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
This is cool. I like this.
Amy
Oh, I feel like it's. It means, like, you have to follow it up with something. Right? Like it's giving.
Unknown
Yeah.
Amy
Race like it's giving nascar. Like it's giving you a vibe.
Unknown
Yes, exactly. That's that guy. Use it. It's like a compliment. Giving praise.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
This is. I'm enjoying what I'm. Yeah, I'm enjoying this. It's giving.
Unknown
It's giving happiness.
Amy
Yes, yes.
Unknown
Something like that. So then this one kind of coincides with it. Ohio.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's the next fagian.
Unknown
Ohio.
Amy
Is that a fat girl?
Unknown
No, it's not a fat.
Amy
I know there's one slang term that's refers to a chubby girl.
Unknown
There is two.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I just Ohio.
Unknown
Ohio.
Like the state off.
Amy
Kinda like go kick rocks in Ohio.
Unknown
It's described something.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Use it in a sentence.
Unknown
I don't even know. I don't even know how to use it in a sentence.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Tim's is being Ohio.
Amy
Tims is a millennial. Give him a break.
Unknown
That could be it. It's something to describe something weird or cringe or awkward.
Amy
Ohio.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Ohio. Bamboo.
Amy
How do we land on that?
Unknown
Opposite of it's giving. It's like you're giving Ohio.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Ohio is catching some strays.
Unknown
I don't know why it's Ohio.
Amy
Huh?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's not fair to Ohio.
Unknown
It's not.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Shout out. Kashocton.
Amy
Okay. What's the next one?
Unknown
Next one's busing.
Amy
Busin.
Unknown
Busing or busted Bus in.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Busin is like we're busin. Awesome. That's cool.
Unknown
Yeah. When you like something.
Amy
Is that like busing with the boys?
Unknown
Kind of. Yeah.
Amy
Yeah, that's. You didn't had an unfair advantage there.
Unknown
Yeah.
Amy
Blessing.
Unknown
This one I've actually seen around. Snatched.
Amy
Yeah, I know. Snatched. It's like she's got her just tight. She's in shape.
Unknown
Yeah. She's looking good.
Amy
Stylish.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I thought that girls.
Amy
Girls. Snatched.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Married.
Unknown
Snatched.
Amy
No, they got snatched up.
Unknown
I've been snatched. This ain't it, chief.
Amy
This ain't it, chief.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, this is. Yeah. That. You're wrong. Stop it. You're. Stop doing what you're doing. Saying what you're saying.
Unknown
Disapproved.
Amy
That feels like old slang.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's old.
Amy
They tried to claim back.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That ain't it, chief.
Unknown
They're coming back with that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yep. I like. Good. They need to come back with some stuff that I can say or used to say.
Unknown
Ate and left no crumbs.
Amy
Ate and left no crumbs.
Unknown
Ate and left no crumbs.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Finished the job.
Amy
Ate and left no crumbs. Like they did it all.
Unknown
Did something incredibly well.
Amy
You did something incredibly well.
Unknown
Yeah.
Amy
You ate and you left Nothing.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I think I was correct.
Amy
Like, you left nothing on the table.
Unknown
Yeah.
Amy
Okay.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Finish the job exceptionally.
Amy
Yeah, I can't wait to hear Dale say that to someone. Left no crumbs.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, I mean, we do say, but we just don't use those words.
Amy
I know. That's the whole point.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We'll be like, he did a really good job.
Amy
You killed it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He did a really good job and did not make mistakes. Well, hey, you know, I got one for you.
Unknown
Go ahead.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No comebacks. So that if you said he. He finished. He. He finished the job with no comebacks would be this. That. That could be a kind of a cool new slang. Maybe you could change the front end of that. But the no comebacks would be a nod to dealership service mechanics. And anytime they do a job and it ends up returning because it's not fixed, that's a comeback. And a mechanic wants no comebacks.
Unknown
I think it's too close to no Take. Take backs.
Amy
Take backs. Yeah, so we used to say that as kids. Well, take backs.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No comebacks means if. If somebody said, you know what? Tim. Tim's. Tim's a buddy of mine working over there. Dirty Mo Media man. He doing all right. I'll be like, no comebacks. And that would be me saying, tim's does a good job.
Unknown
Okay, I get that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Unknown
He ate and left no crumbs.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yes. No comebacks.
Unknown
No comebacks. Okay, a couple more for you here. This one Mike Davis did not understand. Crash out.
Amy
Crash out.
Unknown
Crash out.
Amy
Oh, Carson was just trying to explain this to me. Let me think if I can pull it from the back of my mind. Nope, not coming.
Unknown
Like, they're crashing out right now over there.
Amy
I mean, crashing out to us was like going to sleep.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Crashing out to me means that they failed miserably.
Amy
Well, that too.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Like, are they.
Amy
That's. Those are the obvious ones.
Unknown
Not really. It's when you're mad or angry at someone, so you're like, yelling.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That makes zero sense.
Unknown
They're crashing out right now.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That makes zero sense.
Amy
But you're mad at them. But they're crashing out.
Unknown
They're mad at you.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So you're crashing out on that. I'm mad at you right now. I'm crashing out. That don't make any sense.
Unknown
Yeah. So if you guys were in a fight, he could be like, you're crashing out right now because you're getting mad and angry.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Don't get it.
Amy
You're spiraling. You're about to crash out. I don't know.
Unknown
How about a Bop, bop, a bop.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
A bop, a bop. I'm gonna say a good time.
Amy
The way you walk.
Unknown
It's more for music.
Amy
Oh, I think a music.
Unknown
Yeah. Good song. It's a good listen.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's a bop. It's a bop.
Amy
Have you heard of the song Bop by Dan Seals?
Unknown
Not by Dan Seals.
Amy
Oh, my God.
Unknown
There's one by Dababy that I've heard.
Amy
It's so good. You have to listen to that. I won't sing it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I think as a baseball player. It's wearing this from the 70s. It's kind of a famous photo of this guy wearing this T shirt. And he's a. He's a very popular at the time. Baseball player. And it says, don't mind me. And the boys were just bopping. Yeah, it says something along those lines.
Unknown
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And so it made me think that maybe it was.
Amy
It's another old term.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
They're just having a good time. Bopping is like we're just hanging out. We're having fun.
Unknown
Bopping around.
Amy
Beboping.
Unknown
Yep, I've heard that last one. I think you guys would know this one. Riz.
Amy
Yeah, I know Riz. Charisma.
Unknown
Yeah.
Amy
And the only reason I know this one is because of TJ Majors. Because he always calls himself the Riz to make his daughter mad.
Unknown
Oh, no.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Like the wrestler.
Amy
Oh, yeah, that's fine. Yeah.
Unknown
All right. That's all I got for you.
Amy
I really got one. Right.
Unknown

Unknown
Our first question's from Claire. She wants to know if you saw the Met Gala this past weekend and if you liked any of the outfits. What was your favorite?
Amy
I didn't watch the Met Gala. I was at a bunko party with some girlfriends and so I didn't watch it live, but I did see all the red carpet pictures on my Instagram. There are quite a few really good ones. Diana Ross kind of blew me away just because I haven't seen her in so long and she had like an 18 foot train. So that one was amazing. They all were really cool. It wasn't like, so avant garde and out there this year that, like, you didn't understand it. They just had a lot of really fun outfits.
Unknown
Yeah, well, I didn't feel like I didn't see any really outlandish ones.
Amy
No. Nothing was like, what in the hell's happening there?
Unknown
But yeah, Pamela Anderson got a lot of, like, pub. Because she's now all natural, no makeup or whatever.
Amy
I know. I kind of miss her having, like, her Pam look, but she's really rocking what she's got going on. She has a bob cut too, and like, some pixie bangs. So totally different vibe than our old Pam.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What's the Met Gala?
Amy
The Met is an art gallery and there's a.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
The Met is a physical building.
Amy
It's a physical building and you don't get to see what goes on inside. So it's not like an award show or anything. There is a big party that happens in support of the Met, but Met Gala.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So it's like a. It's just a gathering to. To raise money for the Met, I think so.
Amy
I think it's a charitable event. But they. Every year there's a. A theme and a very artistic theme. And so the red carpet is what you see. And all the outfits are, like, extravagant.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Why do all the people want to go?
Amy
It's a big honor. You have to be invited to go.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Really wonder how that got started.
Amy
The Kardashians got kicked out a couple years ago because you're not supposed to have your phones out at all. And they took a bathroom selfie and so they didn't get to come for.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
A While I wonder when it's how it started.
Amy
I don't know how it started.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It was the original.
Amy
We'll have to Google that.
Unknown
I don't know if you ever been to the Met like that.
Amy
I've never been. It's really, really cool. Have you been in.
Unknown
Yeah, I've been in.
Amy
What's in there?
Unknown
Just art.
Amy
Just art art?
Unknown
Yeah.
Amy
Anything specific framed stuff? No. Paintings.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I don't remember anything. But I mean like art. Like physical art or framed art?
Unknown
Yeah, like framed art.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, It's.
Unknown
It's just big and it's like just cool. Look at history.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Like a museum.
Unknown
Yeah, like a museum, yeah. Our next one, a little shifting gears. Erica wants to know she is starting a long distance relationship. She's super nervous. Do you guys have any advice for her on how to handle that?
Amy
What's her name?
Unknown
Erica.
Amy
Erica, how long of distance is this? And be careful of the catfish situation. Would you be scared of that at this point in life? We had a long distance relationship for a year. It's doable, but it's hard. You have to make sure to physically see each other often. You can't just, you know, have a relationship virtually. I don't know. It's always scary to be in a long distance relationship. I have so many questions, though. This is like one of those things. We need to go back and forth on. Erica, I know.
Unknown
If she's in the chat, please comment.
Amy
What do you have for advice? Because your perspective is probably way different than mine.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I think those are good things indeed. If you're physically able to see the person, do that as often as you possibly can. Sometimes the travel or the effort to do that might become tough. But once you stop or once you take that one weekend off, it's kind of like committing to working out or whatever the things that you want to commit to. Once you take that one day off and you're like, I just don't feel like it today. That's, you know, it becomes a bad habit where you're not putting as much into it as it needs to and it's just not going to work.
Amy
Yeah, well, also, you know, don't pay attention to that because if you kind of lose interest, it's just the universe trying to tell you something.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You know, I think it works. It can absolutely work. Like, it can work just fine if both people like it and want to do it.
Amy
Especially if you know too, that there's an end point to it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You also have to have a lot of grace because that person's however Many miles away, living their life, doing what they need to do, used to. What their life is. Right. You have. You have a. You have a pattern, and they have a pattern, and maybe, you know, maybe that day they're a little busy, and you're just not feeling like they're giving you enough attention or whatever. You got to have a lot of grace and just understand that, you know, you're both in two different parts of the country with a lot. Two different things going on.
Amy
He wants grace. I want a tracking device.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You can't. But you can't be like, you have.
Amy
To communicate consistently, or the other person's going to.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Saying that you don't communicate. I'm just saying, like, feelings, you know, to be specific. All right. What I'm talking about is, like, there'd be times where, like, Amy's going to go out with her friends. You know, Raymond's gonna do something else, and I don't. You know, I'll call her, but she's gonna go, you know what? I love talking to you, but I'm gonna go in here with my friends for a minute, and I'm gonna do this tonight. You got to be able to go. All right. I feel good about that.
Amy
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You know, because, you know, when you're in the same space, you do things together, you're physically there. Right. You can go where they go, but when you're not, they have their friends, they have the routine, and you got to respect that. And so, you know, just have some great or, you know, be able to be able to.
Amy
Confidence.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Sort of have some confidence to go have some fun with your friends. Go out. I'm 150 or 500 miles away. I've got no idea what's going on there, and I'm comfortable with that.
Unknown
Yeah. Do you think there's a certain amount of time that it. Then you're like, okay, maybe we should have to kind of get closer to each other?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's. For us, it was the. It was a year.
Amy
Yeah. For us, it was a year.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I think, you know, that's a. That's a long period of time, and there's. There's. You know, if it goes beyond that, there better be some damn good reason for that. I think you need to maybe think.
Amy
About fishing in your pond, doing something else.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, yeah.
Amy
Closer pond.
Unknown
Yeah. That's good advice.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
There's a really good reason. Right?
Amy
Yeah. Like you said, the military. You know what I mean?
Unknown
Yeah.
Amy
Obviously, that changes everything.
Unknown
Yeah, I agree.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I agree.
Unknown
That's good advice. Everyone in the Chat wants to have a swan update. Any update with the swans? How are they doing?
Amy
The swans are doing great.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
They're awesome.
Amy
We. We go down there and visit them every single day. And we've had some geese. What you want to tell it?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, awesome, man. I don't. I don't know how this will. Mike Davis, cover your ears. This. Our pond is a quarter mile from the house, and it's on the property. It's inside a quarter mile, but it's. It's a distance. And we go down there and feed them every day. And I've been telling Isla, you know, subtly, this is kind of your chore. This is your thing. You gotta remember to do this. And. But the. Yesterday, or was it two days ago? I was like, hey, man, it's time to feed the swans. I was like, why don't you go down there and do it? She's like, okay. And that was totally the opposite of what I thought she would say. Okay, I'll do it. So we got the swan food, put it in her backpack. She got on her back. She put her backpack on and got on her little scooter. She's been riding a scooter a lot lately, which she just learned how to ride her bike yesterday. Hello. Hell, yeah. I got a little video of her riding a bike. It's a massive awesome time when your child just takes off riding on a bike for the first time. It's really cooler than you'd imagine. But she's been riding this school scooter, which was a great segue to the bike, by the way. And I watched her. She rode the scooter all the way down out of sight. Then she comes back, comes back up and fed the. Fed them all by herself. Right. They have two little bowls out there, and when they. When you get near them, they come to you. They come to you. But they're also a little. Little aggressive. You know, the boy especially.
Amy
Yeah. So we have two bowls now because George wasn't really letting Cleo eat. And so to, like, keep that. Keep from. Keep from. Keeps you, George. Sorry. To keep George from thinking he wasn't going to get enough food, we just gave him two bowls so that they kind of get used to it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I was proud of her. But, yeah, because she did it, she's. I want her to, like, chore, be chore oriented and be willing to help.
Amy
He doesn't want her to be spoiled, so he's giving her more chores.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, I want her. I'm like, hey, I'm gonna feed the Dogs. I want her to go, let me help. Let me help you do that. You know? And so, you know, it's cool to have her go down there and do that. And it's intimidating because when you walk up to the man, he comes at you, he's like. He's like, what are you doing down here? Get away from my bull.
Amy
You know, he's just excited you're there to put it in the water.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He's not. He's. He has this aggressive posture. And they hiss.
Amy
Yeah, they hiss a little bit. If I go down there, I usually have the dogs with me. So Gus will get in the pond.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I thought she would get up to the moment of putting the food in the bowl and checking out. Yeah.
Amy
No, she's not scared.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Go for her.
Amy
He's not scared. They're great.
Unknown
That's good. Next question is from Derek. This is his wife's first Mother's Day. So he's wondering what he should get her for her first Mother's Day.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Mother's Day.
Amy
I would say to keep it simple. If he knows what kind of flowers she likes, get her all the things that, like, make her feel pampered. And then give her some time to herself, like, make sure you take that baby and give her some time to just do nothing. Go lay by the pool, read a book, send her to the spa for a massage, all those things so she doesn't feel like she has to, like, be the mom on Mother's Day. That's for me. What I like. Dale's sending me this spa on Saturday because he's got to work on Sunday. So I'm going to get to go away and, like, have my time, which is really important.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, she.
Unknown
It's.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
She gets up in the morning whenever she feels like it goes to this spa deal. There's a couple things she'll do there, and she'll hang out there as long as I hang out there as long as she wants. So she's ready to come back.
Amy
Yeah. As a mom, you don't really get a whole lot of time to yourself, so that's really, like, the best gift.
Unknown
Yeah. Early on, too. I think that's a really.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That was something. You know, Guys. Guys maybe not understand that. So I thought that it was, like, either gifts or acts of service or taking them somewhere or doing something as a group, but it's the exact opposite. They, like, want the day off. And that was some. That. So that's, like. That's not obvious.
Amy
Well, everyone's a little different. It just depends like, if the grandmothers and everybody were around, we'd still be brunching on Sunday and doing all those traditional things.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm pretty sure most women are similar.
Amy
We just want some time.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Give us the day off.
Unknown
Makes sense now that you say it.
Amy
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm like, damn, that's easy.
Unknown
Yeah. You can do that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I can handle it.
Amy
Yeah.
Unknown
Everybody. Everybody wants to know. We've got this question, like, 10 times. The chat's got it. Amy. They want to know what bad habits Dale has that make you cringe.
Amy
Bad habits.
Unknown
Bad habits. Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Go for was popular this week.
Unknown
I don't know why.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Go for it.
Amy
The biggest one, and I feel like I've said this before, is he's just messy with food on my plate. Oh, like, you're just a messy eater.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Jerky on the couch.
Amy
If he eats at the table, there's spots of. There's always a sauce bottle. So there's. There's spots. If he's making food in the kitchen, there's pickle juice and spots and stuff all over the countertop, and he doesn't clean that up. If he's sipping orange cream out of the freezer, there's spots on the floor. If I come down in the morning, pretty much every morning, there's grape stems or beef jerky pepper, or, like, I can tell what he snacked on. Orange peels. Like, how the. Did you not see that? Clean it up. So, like, I. He leaves a trail of food everywhere he goes.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I eat in the dark a lot.
Amy
He doesn't have to be in the dark. And honestly, he's got a giant iPad and a TV that's on. There's no darkness. He can see. He's just, you know, messy with food. The only other thing that he does that really annoys me is instead of brushing his teeth because he stays up so late in our bathroom and making his toothpaste mess in his sink, he does it in the powder room right next to the kitchen. So there's freaking toothpaste all in that sink, and his toothbrush is sitting out. You know how I feel about it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm trying not to make any noise, so I do it downstairs. So when I come up, I go right into the bed.
Amy
I know. But when I wake up and come down, I still wake up when he gets in the bed. But when I wake up and come down, now I've got toothpaste to clean up and food on the couch. There's just, like, Dale's been here. I know exactly what he was doing all Night and what he ate.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
She lying.
Amy
So that's pretty much it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
There you go. Come on. There's more. I know those. I need a new one. I want a new one. Unknown.
Amy
No, I don't really have anymore. You're like. You like clutter. He likes to collect things.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Are you kidding me?
Amy
Cringy.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm the clutter.
Amy
I have.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Holy moly, Dale.
Amy
If you have a space, you feel like you have to clutter it up. There is knickknacks, pictures, things just lean in here. And sitting there, there's a velvet Elvis hanging in his corner of the garage. Like there's stuff everywhere. Yeah, I have a hard time keeping my part of the closet clean. That is not, not a lie. The clothes are clean, but they ain't put away.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
God almighty.
Amy
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Closets are wild. And there her makeup place. If you look at the two count the his and hers counters in the bathroom. No.
Amy
Yeah. Well, I have a lot of potions to take care of all this.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Legit. Like 50 different bottles of things. You use every single one of them.
Amy
How do you know?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I mean, it's impossible.
Amy
I have phases. Some of that stuff you can't use in the summer and some of you can't use in the winter. Like, I've got different creams for this. And you can't use all the stuff in the summertime because you, you know, bad peels your skin, blah, blah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm like. I walk in there and I'm like, just show me the bottle that says shampoo. Pour it on my head. I don't care what it's for. I don't care what, like, you know, the shampoos are like, for this type of hair. This type of hair. This type of hair. And I walk in there to the shower and I'm just like, yeah, because.
Amy
He can't see shampoo.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Is it really?
Unknown
That's how it works. I just buy the regular shampoo I've had for years.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I don't buy my shampoo. I just use whatever's in there.
Amy
She doesn't even have to shop.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
If you stand in our shower there, I promise our 25 bottles of stuff.
Amy
Well, sometimes in the shower I don't buy all of it either. I get gifted boxes of things like that, girlies products to try. And so Dale gets to also try them out. That's how that happens.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So I go, Isla uses our shower and she. She takes our shampoo and she's like.
Amy
She does make potions with it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Making potions.
Amy
She has these little bottles in there. And. Yeah, she's.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And I'll go in there to get my. I'll go in there to get my shampoo, and it's empty. The tower of bottles. I'm like, okay, this one. This is for your face. This is for your. You know, this is. This. And this. This shampoo. Okay. You know, and I can't see without my glasses, so I got to, like, read out of the bottom.
Amy
Bless him.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
M. Bless him.
Unknown
All right, well, I got one more question for you. Eric wants to know if you guys name your house plants.
Amy
Name our houseplants.
Unknown
Yeah, houseplants.
Amy
No, I haven't named my house plants. I do have a lot of plants. It's the other thing I have a lot of collection. That's the only thing I really have a collection of is plants. No, I have a fiddle fig that I've had for a while, and I talked to him. That big tree, the bigger tree in the sunroom. They're fickle. I've had a few of them, and he's in a good, happy place now. So it's just. It's a boy, it's not a girl. But I haven't named him.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Do you have any, like.
Unknown
You name your cars or anything like that? What is it used to.
Amy
No. Have you named your cars?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, yeah.
Amy
You've named all of them?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No, but I have. I say I name 8 out of 10 vehicles.
Unknown
Any fun ones?
Amy
Well, the Nova here is the only one I'm aware of. We were gonna call it the Champagne Supernova because it's like a champagne color.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I just put a new picture of the. The paint process of that. It's a Nova station wagon, 66 model. I just put a new picture on this morning on my Instagram story of the roof getting painted. But what are we calling that one?
Amy
The Champagne Super.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Champagne Supernova.
Amy
After the song.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. So the color on it's like a milk chocolate metallic. It's really cool.
Unknown
Nice. That fits perfect, though.
Amy
Yeah, it looks a little lighter than chocolate, though.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Unknown
Yeah. You guys have ever heard of people naming their pets, like, regular human names?
Amy
Yes, and I love that.
Unknown
Yeah. Like o' Brien.
Amy
My best friend Jamie has a doodle named Franklin. I love that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Amy
I mean, we have a swan named George.
Unknown
Yeah, that's true. That fits it.
