The following is a production of Dirty Mo Media.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, yeah. This is the way it's going to be, girl. We're gonna hang out, open a bunch of jars. You got big, strong hands. Are you suffering from high crack?
Dirty Mo Media
I'm working.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Working that mouth.
Dirty Mo Media
All right, so the cocktail today is the drink of the week, presented by High Rock Vodka is the raspberry lemonade spritzer. Well, those things all sound good, so let's give it a try.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, very light.
Dirty Mo Media
It is light. Yeah. Like if you were hanging out somewhere hot, like by the pool.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's a great pool drink for sure.
Dirty Mo Media
It's really good for that. You could have several of those. So the ingredients for this drink is 1 1/2 ounces of high Rock vodka. And I just got a photo today of mini bottles. You want to see it?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. We've been waiting and waiting and waiting for minis.
Dirty Mo Media
So one and a half ounces of Hierarch vodka, three ounces of lemonade, one ounce of club soda and fresh, fresh raspberries, which. We didn't have any raspberries today.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You can do frash berries, raspberries.
Dirty Mo Media
So let me show you these mini bottles. I know you just.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, that's so exciting.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, I know you can't wait to see that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, my God. They're so cute.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So those are shipping to us or those.
Dirty Mo Media
Where are they? Kent sent me a photo, so.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Got it.
Dirty Mo Media
You can look on my Instagram if you're Curious to see the same photo on my story. But hi. Rock Vodka is a product that me and Amy have equity in. We're not spokesman. We actually are part of business. And if you're interested in trying our, our brand and trying out our vodka, you can go to highrock vodka dot com. There's a search engine on there to be able to help you find a bottle near you, a locator. And remember to drink, sponsor responsibly, sponsibly. And you must be 21 and over to do that. If you're under 21, that's irresponsible. So yeah, go, go, go find a bottle. Take a picture. Tag us. Show. Tell us what you think.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, how was Mexico, Ralph?
Dirty Mo Media
Mexico, man, you've been gone a lot.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Even since you got home, you've been gone a lot. So we haven't had a chance to really talk about all the fun details.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. So I'm sorry, this is a, you know, we kind of got back into the broadcast game and really wasn't sure. Probably didn't. It's like mixing a drink. Maybe we didn't have the ingredients all balanced perfectly. So I've been really busy. Busier than I thought I would be. We're right in the middle of this 10 week stretch between Amazon and TNT. Amazon's coming to an end. We're going to Pocono this weekend for the last one. And we're all kind of sad, really. It's been going. It is. I know that. So I haven't had a chance to really talk to you about this much. But the first off, I mean the, the reception that we've gotten over, the product that we put together with prime has been amazing.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's been great.
Dirty Mo Media
It has the all and all. I think all of us involved are a bit taken aback by, you know, how well it's been received.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, it's kind of a refreshing thing to have so much positive, you know, feedback.
Dirty Mo Media
And some of us are back working for the. Either the very first time or for the first time in a long time.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Right.
Dirty Mo Media
Like myself. And so a lot of us are just happy to be working together and working and man, it's just been easy. Everybody's had fun. There's not been one little weird thing. Not one little, you know, there's nobody in the group's like got this weird vibe. It's awesome.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
And so we're all kind of happy that it's happened, but sad that it's so quick. But then we're going into tnt some of the Same people at least. The booth at least will be all the same. And so there's some excitement around that. But anyways, back, I know you were asking me about Mexico, but I'm in my feelings about my Amazon coming to the end. We.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You can always see your friends if you just want to hang out.
Dirty Mo Media
We. It's working together and doing a job and getting done and hearing people go, that was a great job. Is something we're going to miss.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, sometimes you got to leave them wanting more. You know what I mean? Well, yeah, but even for you, it's like good to have end on a high note.
Dirty Mo Media
Small window.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It is a very small, like, stint of time and part of the season is very small. Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
But anyhow, we went to Mexico. It's long. It's a long story, but I'll try to briefen it up a little bit. The. The travel there was kind of difficult and. But I'm not going to complain too much about that because I think later in the show we're going to get into a real hellacious travel story that, that I'm not involved in.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, I hear that some people had a bad experience with travel to Mexico. Yeah, I mean, some of the teams had a hard time.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's easier when you're just traveling by yourself versus, like with a bunch of people.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, I. It was so travel. The travel started unraveling for several people, including some of my co workers. And so we all kind of. Everybody did everything they could. Some teams hired, chartered their own planes, but everybody figured a way to get down there. NASCAR even had to change the schedule and, and push things back to allow people. Allow the people that were still not there yet, which was wild, you know, but, you know, we ended up getting down there and honestly, my travel was fine. Mine was fine. And when we got off the plane, though, it was pouring rain and dark. So we were really. We flew in and then you could see the city. But it. As soon as we got a plane went through customs, it was, it was black outside. Yeah. But pouring rain. We get to the hotel, check in. Hotel rooms are nice. Oh, everything's nice. Even, like their Porta John's are even better than ours. Like, we use a lot of Porta John's in our, in our. At the racetrack, in our TV compound, there's rows of Porta John's and there's specific ones for the ladies and the rest of the crew. And that's where we use the bathroom all weekend. And so their Porta Johns are like freaking Nice. They're even built nicer.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Not away from Mexico. No, no, John.
Dirty Mo Media
Well, I'm just saying, like, they're even better put together. Ours are always. This is just a microcosm of like the whole thing. Like, ours are always well used and. And cleaned up a little bit. And here you go.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And it's good enough.
Dirty Mo Media
These guys were like brand new, but they were even more elaborate. Like nicer. Like the, like the. Like just nicer inside.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Like what you would find at a wedding versus just at a racetrack.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, but it was straight up Porta John, square plastic thing. Like not a. Not a trailer.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh.
Dirty Mo Media
Um, but they just. I mean. Yeah, so that, that was a great impression right out of the gate. And I was like, all right. And so we go. This never happens. We. In the garage, there's. On the backside of the pits, between the pits in the garage, there's a. There's a three story suite and TV booths and all that stuff, which is traditional for some racetracks. Well, at the top level of that, they were. They had a giant cafeteria where anyone in the garage could go up there and eat. Everyone was up there eating. Josh Berry drivers, friends, crewmen, TV people. At lunchtime, there was a giant buffet. And it was great food.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What kind? With, like tacos. What are we doing?
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, like, just not. Nothing crazy, just.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
But like traditional Mexican fare. No, no, no.
Dirty Mo Media
It was just like a big buffet walk up, serve potatoes. Just different stuff. Some. Some fried and grilled food. Just different things. Nothing like, it wasn't like, hey, we're gonna really blow their mind with this Mexican food.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It was just like I would be.
Dirty Mo Media
Hoping for, here's some nice food to eat. Otherwise, you know, you're on your own. Yeah, well, but. So they fed the whole garage. That happens at no other racetrack, right? Zero. That was massive. So everybody had plenty of good food to eat, easy place to go get it. And they had this taco stand that was at. On the. On the floor of the garage right behind the trucks. And every in the line was massive. And everybody kept saying that. I never had one, unfortunately. I tried all weekend to make.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I find that ridiculous. You can get yourself a Martinsville hot dog, but you can't get it.
Dirty Mo Media
I have a hard time. Like, I couldn't physically get myself to the taco stand. And I'm not gonna say, hey, can somebody go get me some tacos? Right? I'm just not gonna do that. I'm trying. I just got my new job back. I'm not gonna be this, like, drunk.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Also hard for me to understand I'm.
Dirty Mo Media
Not gonna be this, like, diva. Diva. Yeah. Like, hey, feed me. Go get my food. But there was a taco stand, and everybody that ate there said it was the best tacos they'd ever had in their life. And they did a. They had a little photo social media. NASCAR did a little social media around the specific taco stand, but apparently it was a big deal line forever as soon as it was even close to lunch. And. And so there was some. Really. Those. That never happens. I mean, there's some pretty. Okay places to eat on racetracks. Like, Texas has some pretty decent food on the interior.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yep.
Dirty Mo Media
But most of the time, man, you're on your own.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So you were really well taken care of.
Dirty Mo Media
Yes. And a lot of hospitality. Just a lot of hospitality. All of the staff at the racetrack, all of those people, their locals working. Working from the city, move coming in every day, they were completely, like, helpful and. And just really everybody was just trying to make everything convenient. The celebration for the win with. With Daniel was amazing. They. So if you watch the race, you saw it, but they had this big section of the racetrack, which was a stadium, and that's where they have concerts like Taylor Swift and so forth. Well, the stage is permanent, so we got to go up on the stage where they have Taylor Swift concerts and all these other things and look out across into that bowl of a stadium and. And. Yeah. And celebrate a podium and a victory and all that. So I just. I got to see so many cool perspectives, like, as a car owner that won a race that weekend and see. Get close to Daniel's celebration. He's, you know, he's so proud to have been able to win.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. Moment for him.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
For sure.
Dirty Mo Media
He had. I mean, think about it. He goes into. He's going to Mexico City, His. The industry that he loves and wants to be so embraced by, and he's made so many close friends that are coming to his house, and he wants them to all have a great time. Right. And he's hearing all of this sort of pushback and, oh, well, what about this? What about that? But he wants everybody to come and see it and have a great time. Right. So he's getting pulled in a lot of different directions emotionally. And on top of that, all the people that are there, all of the. The. The locals are. Are going to be pulling for him to win.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Sure.
Dirty Mo Media
Tons of pressure. I mean, he's getting it from all sides. So for him to win that race, I was so relieved for him. I didn't Even think about it. Till he crossed the finish line. I was like, oh, wow.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Wow. Yeah. This is awesome moment for him.
Dirty Mo Media
This is awesome. I'm like, great for us. And then he crossed the finish. I'm like, damn, this is really good for Daniel. Imagine the pressure he must feel. And now he gets the relief. Yeah, he gets to do this pinata and all that thing, you know?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. That was the coolest thing from the highlights is watching him break that across his leg and then just spray candy everywhere. I've never seen anyone break a pinata like that.
Dirty Mo Media
That's his kind of his thing when he wins. So that's cool. It was great. We had. We had a. We went down from the hotel about two blocks to this steakhouse. Amazing, amazing steak, great steak. And then.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, is this the night that you had the dinner?
Dirty Mo Media
No, no, no. I'll tell you about that. One went to everybody. Everybody went to this steakhouse. Top, top steakhouse, great steak. A freaking amazing. You know what they put on the table before the steak come out? A1 stage. A1 steak sauce.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Before it even came out.
Dirty Mo Media
That's a big. That's a big fu. To all you people that say, I'm an idiot for eating A1 steak sauce on a good steak. Like, there's rules. You're not supposed to have it on a good steak. Yeah, they're like, oh, you don't need.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, if you go to a good steakhouse in the states here, they will, like, get snarky with you if you ask for it.
Dirty Mo Media
And people will tell you what an idiot.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Or you just. Have you even tried the steak yet?
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, yeah. I'm. I'm talking to somebody at the table. And Russell taps me on the show. He goes, look. And he points today. One on the table. And I was like, holy, they won here. And this. I know. This is gonna be a good steak.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
These guys are all right, medium plus, like he does at other places. Do you do that in Mexico?
Dirty Mo Media
So in Mexico. In Mexico, that I was told that all of the. So the medium, medium rare, all that stuff is a step down. So if you get a medium steak, it's probably gonna be more rare than what you think, right?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
And so everybody was encouraged to upgrade a step.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Okay, so I'm a well done chick. Like, what would I say?
Dirty Mo Media
I think I asked for a well done. And the guy goes, really? I was like, yeah. And it came to me, and it still had some pink in it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, right. So, like, I'm screwed.
Dirty Mo Media
Well, you can go, well, well done. I Don't know what the next step is.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Burn it. Torch it.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, tell them, tell them to do it. I don't know, but it was, that was great. And, and then the night after the race, so the race ends and we don't fly out till the noon the next day. And so we had all been talking about this. There's a lot of, lot of buddies in the, in the, in the compound that we all, we all, you know, back slap and high five all weekend long and, and we're like, hey man.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
As you're going back and forth from the Porter Johnson.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, we're back slapping and high fiving all the time. And so those guys have been to this little sports bar sort of thing next to the hotel and they're like, hey man, we got a place for after the race to go to. We've been checking it out. And I was like, all right. And so I looked at it on Yelp and it was cool. It's just a reg, like, like a TGI Fridays, I guess, a couple more TVs, some sports. They had the IndyCar race on. So we go there after the race and drank Modelos and whatever Mexican beers they had and, and had a, had a great time just kind of hanging out and back slapping, high fiving and talking about our, talking about our race and how. How great the. That we think the race went. But. So that was fun. Got up the next morning, came home.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Were you hungover?
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, yeah, yeah. I mean, yeah, I. I mean I was. I think. I, I didn't have any light beers.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That makes me feel better.
Dirty Mo Media
I drank the heavies about my experience. There was one night. So there was one dinner.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
And this was, this was a dinner that the Amazon higher ups put together. So it's going to be one of those deals where you show up and there's a table of 15 or 20. It's going to be a long thing. And which, you know me, I like to sit down, order, get to check and get up and leave before anyone else has even got their, you know, finish their, their plate. I'm ready to go. But you know, it's. We're gonna go this dinner. So everybody's in the cars and we're riding over to this restaurant and we get to the curb and we get out and, and we go in the door and in the door. It's the boutique that, that, that used to work at.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's like lavender.
Dirty Mo Media
Lavender.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So it's a, like a, a small, like just.
Dirty Mo Media
It was a woman's clothing it was a small clothing boutique.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Okay.
Dirty Mo Media
We walked into the door, and there were. There was, like, swimsuit rack, blouses, hats, blouses. There was a. It was a group in the corner putting makeup on some girl. You know, they're just doing makeup in the corner. There was a cash register and a. And a clerk or, you know, just ready to retail you up.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And did the girl look like she was being dressed and all? Like she was a model or something?
Dirty Mo Media
I don't have a clue. They were just doing her makeup. I couldn't really see. Like, it wasn't facing me, but I could just tell someone's getting their makeup done over in the corner.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Okay.
Dirty Mo Media
Across from. And it's a boutique. It's clothing.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, so that doesn't usually happen in a clothing boutique. So that's already, like, one weird thing happening in the store.
Dirty Mo Media
Across from the desk where the cash register is on this wall, it's a glass booth exactly like this where these guys are sitting. It's a glass booth. And in that glass booth is meat. Hanging meat. Dried meat.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Like a. Like a refrigerator.
Dirty Mo Media
Big, old, big, giant pieces of meat where you might cut off a T bone or slice off a steak. So it's like a dried. Aged. Yeah. And they were in. They were in their own little cases in there, and they were hanging, just hanging. So it was like. It was like, clothing boutique, meet.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So weird.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Clothing boutique, makeup girl, meet.
Dirty Mo Media
Yes. And I'm like, all right. And I have no clue. Like, there's nothing telling me, go this way to the. To the restaurant. There's nothing.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So you're just wandering aimlessly.
Dirty Mo Media
We're just standing in there. I'm like, there's like 10 of us, 15 of us, like, shuffling five feet into this place. Nobody wants to go too far.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
But the girls didn't say, hey, restaurant's that direction.
Dirty Mo Media
No one's saying anything.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's so weird.
Dirty Mo Media
And I'm like, I don't really know where to go to get to where Food Steakhouse is or whatever this is. Right.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Maybe they were hoping you'd buy some.
Dirty Mo Media
So I'm standing there. Finally, somebody's like, hey, man, we're. We're supposed to go to the elevator. So we walk through the. Through the store and around the corner, and there's an elevator. And we hopped on this elevator, and it goes up, and it opens up an awesome, nice steakhouse. I sent you a picture of.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, you did.
Dirty Mo Media
Looked awesome. Look like a steakhouse supposed to look, right? So now I'm like, okay, now we're out of that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We're kind of making a little bit more sense.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. That was a weird entry.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
The meat downstairs still is kind of bathroom.
Dirty Mo Media
I know. Yeah. But so we sit down and it's a big table, a lot of people. We had David Chang, Chef David Chang, sit with us, which was cool. He was the only. Only. He was like the. The. The surprise, I guess. So we're sitting there and we order our food, and this was interesting. So we're sitting there with David, and David wanted to order for us, but what happened? He didn't get the chance to do that. And he goes, y' all. You know, I usually would. I would. I would suggest in the future, if you go to a restaurant and they're like, hey, do y' all want us just kind of bring it to you? Don't do that. He says, they'll. They'll bring to you what they can't get rid of.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, gross.
Dirty Mo Media
Not that it's old and bad. He's just like, they're going to bring to you the least. The less. The least sort of ordered items, which.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Is the less desirable stuff.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, but I mean, they brought. They brought steaks, filet, salmon. Filet, salmon, Salmon, Yeah, a little salmon. Five, six, eight ounce salmon pieces. They brought a couple of things. It wasn't bad. It was. I mean, it was just. It was okay. The steaks were super rare, really rare. The salmon was super rare.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Woof. No, thanks.
Dirty Mo Media
Super rare. So, you know, we kind of nibbled on this stuff, but we're like, we got our drinks, it's pretty early, and all of a sudden the music gets super loud. We got a speaker right here. And it's like, holy crap.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Too loud for you.
Dirty Mo Media
Nobody can talk. You can't hear a person next to you.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Wow.
Dirty Mo Media
Turn around. And there's 20. 20 or 25, probably under a. Under 25 year old girls, they're 20 to 22, maybe younger, and they're modeling the clothes from downstairs.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So the chick getting her makeup done was. Was a model?
Dirty Mo Media
Yep. That's why the girl's getting the makeup done. So they're coming. They just walk through, turn around and walk out. And the music just plays really loud. And they're all, you know, they're just wearing clothes. No, you know, nothing. It's not like they're in a costume or an outfit or there's a theme, and they just walk through and walk out and it stops and everything goes back to normal. And then so we go back to chatting and talking. And I thought, okay, that's that was just like a little thing. I guess that happens.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So the music comes on, but there's no mc, like, hey, guys.
Dirty Mo Media
Nothing. I mean, they might have said. I wouldn't have understood.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I know, but you would have heard of it.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. No, I didn't hear that. The next thing, five, ten minutes later, there's a guy that starts playing guitar. And it's. It's great. Sounds awesome. He is dressed up like he is. He's dressed up like he is a megastar. He's got on rose, like, he's got on whole outfit very loose, like silk. No, no.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Does he wear a cake?
Dirty Mo Media
No, no, no, no, no. So you know how. You know how. Who sings Yankee Breaky Heart?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, Billy Ray.
Dirty Mo Media
You know how Billy Ray looks now?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
Right? And he's so.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He's bejeweled. He's like.
Dirty Mo Media
Yes.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
His hair's got a lot of stuff in it.
Dirty Mo Media
Even though this guy is looking like Billy Ray Cyrus. And he's got on dark glasses. It's nine o' clock or eight o' clock at night, you know, and he is playing this guitar and he's like hanging off the edge of his stool and he's moving, you know, and he's grooving. But he played for literally 45 seconds, a minute and a half tops. Not even a full song.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What?
Dirty Mo Media
Yes. And then he stopped and then he left.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Was he singing or just playing the guitar?
Dirty Mo Media
Just sing. Just playing the guitar. But he was like. It was loud and he was like. And then he just stops. And I. And it ended just quickly as it started. And then it all went back to normal. And then five or 10 minutes later, the girls are back. They walking through all the new outfits, and this kept happening while the food's coming and while things coming, I would.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Have been very overstimulated. It was like kinetic.
Dirty Mo Media
And so. And yeah. And so I think it really wore Steve out because Latart, you know, we. We get done with the nibbling on our food and the dessert hadn't even been talked about yet. And that's definitely, probably coming. And he's like, I'm ready.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm ready to get out.
Dirty Mo Media
I'm ready to go.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's not like Steve either. He likes to sit and chit chat and, like, he loves a leisurely dinner.
Dirty Mo Media
And so the. The Amazon folks want this one girl in particular, Amy. She's awesome. She's like, hey, y' all can go ahead, you know. Well, don't worry about it. Y' all can go. And she's like, oh, I gotta go. I gotta get out here. And so we got up and we. We left a little. A little early. They were there. Apparently they were there quite, quite a bit longer. During this dinner, one of the coolest things happened, I guess. So Dave Chang sits down, and I'm learning who he is, right? And sitting between me and David Chang is Trevor Bain. Trevor Bain is the. The real star of the prime broadcast. I know everybody loves Carl and Corey, and. And there's. Everybody's got a particular thing they love about it, but Trevor's like the secret sauce. And.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Tell me more.
Dirty Mo Media
Well, he. His delivery. He. He. When you say, hey, Trevor, man, you know, our producer will say, toss it down to Trevor. We'll be in the middle of the race. Something's happening. And he'll go, trevor's got something to add. And you'll go, yeah. And that's a heck of a corner ran by that guy Trevor. And Trevor will go, yes, sir. And it starts. Then he starts his, you know, his ad, and we. And so he got. He. He got razzed about that a little bit. Like, save the yes, sir for, like, one really good. He would do it every time.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So his manners are just too good for y' all, is what you're trying to say.
Dirty Mo Media
So happy to be there.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
And he tries. He wants to do a really good job, and he has, in just a very short period of time, turned into somebody who does a great job with his ads on. On pit road. He adds awesome information. Really does. And he's the sweetest guy.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
Nice as can be. Just incredible. And so we're sitting there, and he goes, hey, David, did you know Dale Jr. Has his own beef jerky?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, my God. That's how this started. I was just gonna ask you, like, I knew that you did this, but I didn't facilitate.
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, really? And I was like, yeah, I just bought into this company, and I started spitting it out, spitting out as much information as I could as fast as I could. I was like, you know, yeah, that's Blake and his brother and Blake, you know, and I'm just, like, trying to tell him before he loses interest really quickly.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
And he was like, I'd love to try it. And I said, I got a bag. I'll bring it tomorrow. I'll just give it to you. You could just take it. And he's like, okay. And so the girl from Amazon, Amy. Amy sitting right across me, she's like, I'm gonna make sure this happens. And so the next day she's like, hey, I'll bring him up to the booth. He comes up to the booth, and I've got the bag, and I'm gonna give it to him. And he even says, let's make sure we film this. And so he tries the jerky. He's like, sweet, salty, proper chew. Really. You know, you gotta chew. You chew it, and you gotta chew it, and that gets the flavor coming out, and it's awesome. And he's just, like, doing his shift thing, right?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
And I was texting.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Were you sitting there waiting for him to say anything negative, like a real critique?
Dirty Mo Media
I was just gonna delete all the evidence if he said anything bad. I was just gonna go, all right, give me your phones.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I know, but I know who you are. Were you sitting there waiting?
Dirty Mo Media
Yes, I was.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Kind of.
Dirty Mo Media
For him to go, no, hell, no. This is the best jerky in the universe. And I knew when he ate it, he would go, this is the best I've ever had. And I was not worried the least bit that he was gonna dislike it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
But I was wondering that it might be so good that he'd be afraid of overselling it. Like, he would be afraid of, like, being too unbelievable. Right. Too dramatic. Like, oh, my God.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I feel like he would have done that more if it was terrible and been like, hey, behind the scenes.
Dirty Mo Media
Well, I know you could kick the.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Salt up a little bit.
Dirty Mo Media
Absolutely not work. I knew it was perfect, and I knew when he tasted it, we were on our way.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. So he loved it.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, he did. And I was texting Blake and Christian, the. The brothers that. That I'm partners with on this, and I'm like, y' all, man, this chef, he's. He knows food. He knows flavor. He loves it. This is amazing.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Is Christian just mind blown?
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, yeah. I was sending it to them, and I'm like, man, this is awesome. And so we post, and then prime was nice enough to share that on their own. Yeah, like, they don't have to do that for me. And so. And David Chang, he doesn't do freebies. Yeah. So that was pretty cool. Trevor Bain made that happen.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's amazing.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. Mexico was great. We got home. I would go back. Now that I've got an understanding of a couple things that I could do to make it easier for me. I. I don't want to NASCAR busted ass to try to make all this work. Some things fell through the cracks. I was going to rely on their charters, and they, you know, the planes had trouble. My plane was stuck In Singapore, Steve Latart, Adam Alexander. My booth mates, way ahead of time, got commercial flights direct from Charlotte. I should have done that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, they were smart.
Dirty Mo Media
They were. That. That would be the only thing I'd do different. Otherwise, awesome trip. And yes, I would have brought you. You were on, you were thinking about coming. You decided not to go. It would. You would have loved it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, I love traveling to new places. I was just getting a little nervous about just how complicated it might be and the weekend, too, being so gone so much this summer and boarding the dogs, all the, all the details that I always worry about.
Dirty Mo Media
Well, I will tell you, I will say this when, if we get the chance to return, you're going on that one. What I hear, though, to let you know what I hear, though, Mexico City may still be on the schedule, but it might move to a different network, like a different part of the season. And we may end up getting a San Diego on the schedule.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, cool. Yeah, I love Southern California.

Yeah, it's kind of like you're kind of brought up that men, you know, keep your emotions in check. You don't show tears. You kind of, you're always trying to stay tough.
Dirty Mo Media
Right?
Katie
I mean, men face immense pressure today. It's no wonder that 6 million men in the US suffer from depression every year. And it's often undiagnosed.

Amazing. Well, so I didn't go to Mexico City, but I did travel.
Dirty Mo Media
You made a lot of women trip.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So I got off the horn with Tim Duggar. Duggar. Last Thursday after the show. Right after the show.
Dirty Mo Media
Right after you did Bless yous Heart. How was Tim on Bless yous Heart? What's the response? I haven't even been on social media, even. Really.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I haven't been on there much either, either.
Dirty Mo Media
Did y' all feel like you had a good show?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I love talking to Tim, and so I know that. I feel like we had a good show. He and I were very. We were on our best behavior. We were trying to be as PG and as good as we possibly could so that you didn't get upset with both of us, because we like to talk about all, like, nothing's off the table. So we were trying to be good and behave ourselves. As soon as we get off the phone, he calls and he's like, hey. So, like, in light of you doing some spontaneous things, especially travel, he goes, I got a proposition for you. Our dog's not doing very well. And so we either, you know, somebody needs to stay with him. But I had bought Tara tickets to go to see Kenny Chesney at the Sphere in Vegas. He's like, well, she really doesn't want to leave him by himself. He Said, so we either cancel the whole trip or maybe you could go with her and I'll stay home with the dog. I was like, give me like an hour and I'll report back. And so in that short amount of time, I was able to land a babysitter for the kids, get the dogs boarded, which was what I was really the most worried about because they're always booked up. And I got online and there was some flights available that weren't crazy. So I'm like, tim, everything seems to be good, except I still haven't heard from Dale. So I waited to hear from you, and as soon as you said, go, go, go, I, like, hit the buy button. And I was excited but nervous to go. I've never been to the Sphere, so of course I love Kenny Chesney. And going somewhere with Tara was just, like, going to be the best time ever. We've never done that by ourselves. So flying out there was great. No issues. Land. A cowboy was flying my plane. So, you know, the landing was, like, a little sideways. It was super windy. You know how much I love that. So I was very excited to get off the plane, but we spent the afternoon at the pool. We were at the Cosmo and had a freaking awesome time at the pool. You know how the pools are.
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, yes, I know that. Tim told Tara when she left, make sure that Amy doesn't forget her phone. Yeah, so lose her phone.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I am. I am regularly losing my phone. Sometimes I've lost my wallet. I've. I've lost this or that. On any trip we go on, I'm losing something. And Tim said, make sure that Amy doesn't lose her phone. Well, we have an awesome time at the pool. We get dressed, we are getting ready to leave the hotel room, and I don't see my phone. It was in the pool bag. So I get my phone out of the pool bag, I put it in my purse, and we're out. Well, my phone wasn't in my bag when we got up. We went downstairs to have a drink. When we were getting up to leave, literally downstairs for 30 minutes, I couldn't find my phone. But, like, we've kind of crunched on time to get to the Sphere, so I'm like, you know what? We tracked it. It's in the hotel somewhere. So I'm just going to, like, figure it out later. I figured it was in the lost and found, or I didn't know where it was, but I was a little tipsy and I didn't really care where my phone Was. So we get to the Sphere, we do the concert. It was sensational. What you got?
Dirty Mo Media
I get a text message from Tara. Can you track Amy's phone? It's like, 11:30 Saturday.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Wait, I'm not finished. About the Sphere. We got to talk about the Sphere.
Dirty Mo Media
Well, I know. I just. But I think I. I got this right when y' all sat down. Y' all hadn't got there yet.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We got to the Sphere at six. You. We. We didn't text you till we got back.
Dirty Mo Media
Because I was. I got the text, and it's like. Tara's like, can you track her phone? I was like. And then Tim text me. He goes, hey, don't freak out. Don't freak out. She doesn't have her phone. Don't freak out. And I was like, God darn. And I'm like, she's gonna. She doesn't care when she loses it. She's like, you know, I'm fine. It's fine. Whatever. And I freak. I freak out. Like, if I lose my phone, it's like, I'm not doing nothing else. Like, Kenny Chesney. Nothing. But Amy's like, I'll find a later. Kenny Chesney. Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We didn't fly all the way out to Vegas to hunt down a fly.
Dirty Mo Media
I know. I know. And so I get a picture of them in the Sphere, and I'm like, okay. So I Google how long Kenny Chesney show is. Two and a half hours. And I'm like, okay, we're going to find this phone. I'm going to sit here and. For about an hour and a half until they get out. And then we'll. I'll see if I can connect with them and try to talk them through the process of finding it. So I'm.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So. He can look at my phone location, but he doesn't have my login to my Apple account, so he can't get to. He can't do anything with my phone. You know what I mean?
Dirty Mo Media
Not. Not. That's true.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You didn't at that point.
Dirty Mo Media
That's true.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So we get back to the hotel and we get to the room. We're getting ready to get in bed. I have forgotten at this point that I've lost my phone.
Dirty Mo Media
See, she's even forgot she lost her phone.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He's not wrong. I don't care. I don't care.
Dirty Mo Media
I'm like, holy crap, man. Everything's on that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I had gone to the security desk downstairs. It's not my life. My life. I'm my life. Like, that's just a damn phone. And so we had gone to security before. We went up to the room just to make sure nobody had turned it in.
Dirty Mo Media
Shout out, Hermes Sadler. He was there.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, I didn't forget to talk to Hermes Sadler. Cross eyed. So sorry.
Dirty Mo Media
Herme text me the next day. He's like, did they find their phone?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No, he saw me at the security desk. Yes. So we did the security desk. They were going to try to locate the phone, but at the end of the shift anything that was in the little bar would have been turned in. And then they take it to a vault. So like you have to wait till the next morning to get to it, which is so stupid. They should have a 24 hour service for this. Especially in Vegas. Right? I'm not the only one losing my phone. We go to bed, or we try to go to bed. We talked to Tim beforehand and then I think at some point he talked to you, but I fell asleep. Well, at 2:30 in the morning or so, I look up and Tara's on her phone. I'm like, why is this girl awake? And she's like, hey, Dale's gonna wipe out your phone. I'm like, how's he gonna wipe out my phone? Like, how does he even know where my phone is? How does he know how to get into my phone? Well, I had given her the login information so she could track it at one point and she gave it to Dale. And it was showing that my phone was like in the middle of the street.
Dirty Mo Media
Yep.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
But it's got this ring around it, like it's trying to still ping it. But you know, I'm like, when I checked this before I went to bed, I logged in and it showed my phone in Mexico City. So I told Dale, I was like, this thing isn't right. Like I gave up at that point when it said my phone was in Mexico City, Amy, it had my picture in Mexico City. I'm like, this thing isn't working so I'm going to go to sleep. Who knows where the phone is?
Dirty Mo Media
So I'm in Mexico, in the bed. And at this point it's 1, 2, 3 in the morning. I was up from 1:30 till like 4. Finally at 4 she finds her phone. But I'm sitting there in the bed and I'm looking on my phone and I'm trying to refresh and see if this thing will move. Because she's right, it showed us. It showed us at one point that it was in her hotel, likely pinging correctly from her room. And then it was across the street. And so I am like, oh, man, it's moved.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He thought he stole it.
Dirty Mo Media
Tara says, has it moved? And I'm like, it has moved. And I'm like, I think it's gotta be right there across the street. If you go there and play the sound, it should. You should hear it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And he could see too, that it was like on its last leg of battery.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. And I'm like, a battery's about to run out. Don't wait until the morning, it's gonna be dead. And you won't be able to play the sound. You won't be able to track it. It'll be gone forever. And I'm thinking the chances of them finding this thing is just going down, down, down, down, down. And so I'm like, hey, I have her. I have her login her password. I can erase it. I can erase the phone because it's got all our kids photos on it. It's got everything on it, right? Credit cards and all this. I'm like, I just wipe it clean and we'll just get another phone. And that's when Amy's like, no.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, she shot me straight out of the bed. I'm like, all right, fine, I'll get up. I go back downstairs. Well, there's a new guy at the security desk, but we talked to him anyway. He was sweet as pie. Called his manager. The manager comes over. He's like, I'm gon go into my office and just make sure that it's not in a system like in my computer so that I know if it's in the vault or not. And so he goes to do that and he's like, I'm not seeing anything. And so Tara and I go to the streets in our freaking PJs and are looking through the bushes all around on our side of the street, on the median on the other side of.
Dirty Mo Media
The street, playing the sound.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
With all the weirdos that are out at 3:30 in the morning on the streets in Vegas, there's me and Tara looking in the bushes for my phone, playing the sound. We don't hear anything, but there's so much music playing everywhere. Even at that time of night. Like, Tara and I were like, we're never gonna hear it. Even if we. If it does show up in this bush, we're never gonna hear it. So we get back to the room and Tara and I are exhausted. Mentally, physically exhausted. She goes to the bathroom and she sits down with her phone and she goes, if this happened While she was in the bathroom and I'm crawling back in the bed. She goes, you know, maybe I should just like hit the button one more time to make the sound. I am halfway leg up into the bed. I'm like, where the is this phone? I walk out into the little living room area and I'm looking around and I see it's like driving us boat. She comes blazing out of the bathroom. We're going towards the sound and neither one of us see it. And there's like just a console sitting there. So she's looking in the console, I'm looking on top, I'm looking behind it. This thing doesn't. It's like pretty high off the bottom. It had bounced. I thought I put it in my purse. It hit the floor, bounced over and landed underneath this console. And it was like leaning face up just like against the leg. I have a picture of it. I'll show you. It's absolutely ridiculous.
Dirty Mo Media
Oh my God.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Like, how did this thing bounce? And let's not hear the bounce. And then hear it cling against this metal leg of this piece of furniture. But neither one of us even thought to ping it in the room.
Dirty Mo Media
I get the text that's running all.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Over town and I'm like, I called him. Like, don't clear my phone out of freaking habit.
Dirty Mo Media
I got up. I got up at 6:30. I had four and a half hours of sleep. Got up and did the race and went and drank beer with the boys like on fumes. I was like, oh, you're fine. I was fine. But then, all right, you only sleep.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Four hours each night anyway.
Dirty Mo Media
Look, I made it. I had, I had plenty of caffeine. That wasn't the worst of it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That was just the tee up to what happened on Sunday.
Dirty Mo Media
I don't know this whole story, so I'm anxious to hear.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We also didn't get much sleep. We woke up and just started the day at seven after we got back in. So like some super broken, hungover, not good sleep. And we're supposed to fly out at noon. So we get our stuff together and we ended up at the airport at 9:30 in the morning. The traffic was fine and like we got there so early. She and I are looking at each other like we can't, we cannot coordinate or do anything right right now. So it was fine. We got to relax and like get some food and try to get our wits about ourselves. And we're starting to get to our boarding areas. Well, all of a sudden both of our planes are delayed hers is delayed an hour. She's going to Dallas. She's got to, like, connect to Dallas to get back to Nashville. And mine's delayed an hour, and I don't know why, but it was delayed. So we finally get on my plane, and she gets on hers first, but I get on the plane, it's like 2 o' clock, and it's hot in there. They don't want. All the windows or windows are closed because it's so. It's like 109 degrees in Vegas on Sunday. And so they immediately. When we all got locked in the plane, the captain comes over and says, hey, I need nine people to give up their seats and get off the plane. You'll get an $800 voucher. But there's too many people on the plane to take off. And I'm like. I'm looking to the left and the right of me, and I'm like, what does that mean? What does that mean? There's too many people. Like, it's not like they have people hanging on the wings of this thing.
Dirty Mo Media
What?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, we're supposed to be able to take off. Well, it was too hot, they said. And so I'm immediately texting Joey, our pilot.
Dirty Mo Media
And so literally, it was the difference between making it and not making it was £2,000?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. Is it even that they wouldn't count luggage either? They were like, you can't worry about. We can't take your luggage and check that to the next plane. The luggage doesn't count. And I look at the guy that left him again. He's chuckling like he can't believe it's happened. His wife's to my right, and he's on the. He's on the other side.
Dirty Mo Media
You're splitting the married couple up.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I was. They didn't care. They didn't even ask.
Dirty Mo Media
I would have been like, hey, do you want to send my son.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I spent the weekend in Vegas together, and they were fine not sitting next to each other on the way home. But we're all, like, going. Wouldn't that. Should we just.
Dirty Mo Media
Were they passing notes to you? Can you tell her to.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No, we didn't even get that far.
Dirty Mo Media
Can you tell her?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We could have probably if we had actually flown, but nine people volunteer. It was way easier than I thought that was gonna be.
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, I thought it would have took forever to find out.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
One guy stood up immediately, and he's like, yeah, I'll get out of here. And then all of a sudden, there's like a group of four goes and Then the lady's like, okay, I need three more. I need two more.
Dirty Mo Media
If you're with a group and you're all like, hey, man, that's 2,400 bucks.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, let's go back. Let's go back to the casino.
Dirty Mo Media
Let's go back.
Audience Member
So worth it.
Dirty Mo Media
Hit the slot.
Audience Member
So worth it.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So that happened relatively easy. I'm like, okay, no problem. But I'm still a little concerned that the heat is going to affect the performance of this plane. I had text Joey about it, and I'm like, what does this mean? Are the tires going to blow?
Dirty Mo Media
Joey's our pilot.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm thinking about the heat, and then, like, the wheels just melting off as.
Dirty Mo Media
Taking your car spiraling out of the car.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I was. I was totally spiraling. And he's like, no, no, no. It just affects the performance of the plane. I'm like, explain more. But, like, be careful, because I'm going to. I'm about to, like, come out of my skin. This is making me so uncomfortable. And he's like, well, let me just call my AA friends in Charlotte and see what's going on. Because the plane comes.
Dirty Mo Media
American Airline.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
Your AA friends.
Audience Member
Yeah, let's clarify that one.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Probably should have some of those.
Dirty Mo Media
I don't know. We don't want to give people the wrong impression.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He doesn't have AA friends? I think not my AA friends.
Dirty Mo Media
Alcoholic.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Okay. This is going down south. This is going down like the plane.
Dirty Mo Media
I've not had much of this drink. It's just a great story Amy's telling.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So we are sitting there, can't take off. And then all of a sudden, as soon as the ninth person stands up, he gets a standing ovation and some cheers and he gets off the plane and the door closes back again. The captain goes on because he's getting ready to fire up the plane now. And he goes, oh, now we have a mechanical issue.
Dirty Mo Media
What?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yes. There was some type of, like, indicator, like, telling him that the fuel pump or fuel whatever was not working. I'm getting off, and I text Joey. I was like, do I need to get off this plane? Because I'm freaking nervous. Like, what does that mean? There's what's wrong with the fuel? And so he's like, no, sit tight. Let me. Let me just find some answers for you. Because the captain said we all have to sit tight. So nobody's really getting off, but it starts getting hot. So he says, we're going to deboard. I don't know how long it's going to be. So we get off the plane. Well, then all of a sudden they say, we're going to let you know at five o' clock if we're going to take off. And then all of a sudden it's 8 o' clock. I took off at 11:45 and landed at 7am I spent the entire day in the airport just wondering, waiting when we were all gonna get out of there. It was awful.
Dirty Mo Media
Did you wander far away from the gate? Cause you're like nervous you might not hear the announcement to get back on.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No, I didn't. I just. I wandered around until I found the cutest little bar to sit at and make friends. Yeah, yeah. So that's what I did. I just sat and like ate pizza and had a glass of red wine, which is the last thing I needed at that point. But so I was exhausted by the time we got home.
Dirty Mo Media
Damn it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, we got home, the nanny went, April left. And I looked at the girls, I was like, here's your iPad. You go upstairs, Mommy needs to sleep. And so they let me sleep till noon. And that was it. But it was a hell of a day.

Dirty Mo Media
I know we've had quite the conversation here, but we got a couple more topics that we'd like to get to if we could. This weekend's Pocono.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yes.
Dirty Mo Media
Gonna be a fun trip.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We're gonna follow you.
Dirty Mo Media
We're all going together. The girls and you rarely go to the races anymore, but this weekend we're going to take advantage of an opportunity to go to Hershey Park. Yes, the girls are gonna love that. And at the same time, I'll do do the, do the broadcasting with Amazon. But also I have a been talked into crew chiefing Connor Zillich's car this weekend.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, so you mentioned that this morning and then you took off and you said you were going by track house to pit practice. So please explain that because I have to. I don't understand why this is how this happens. Crew chief is doing pit practice.
Dirty Mo Media
Well, this is how this happened. So NASCAR controls the roster of the teams and it's very minimal. And so the crew chief, there's only like four or five guys on the roster total. And so everybody has a role during the pit stop. It's very small and menial, but the. We got a suspension from Marty Lindley a couple weeks ago with lug nuts. Too many lug nuts off the wheel. He didn't serve it in Mexico. He decided to serve it this weekend in Pocono. And he texted me and said, do you want a crew chief? And I said, man, I, I don't know, should I? He goes, why not? Yeah, you'll be fine. You'll. You'll be fine. You do it. And so I'm doing it at his request.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You're doing what exactly?
Dirty Mo Media
So the Earnhardt's and the Lindley's are a family of racers that go back a couple generations. Him, his dad and my dad were incredible short track racers, well respected. His dad would also lose his life driving A race car at a young age, when Marty was young. And so we have this kindred sort of experience in life that we've. And he now works here, which is pretty incredible to me. I've known him and seen him and crossed paths with him multiple times throughout my life. Dad loved Marty and he would help Marty a little bit. But so we've all, you know, he was just like, hey, you ought to do it. And they have it all sorted out. Right. It's all pretty straightforward on what needs to happen. And we have a really good group of guys that are underneath Marty that know exactly what needs to go on during the race. So it's not like I'm really going to be like, really steering the ship, but somebody needs to be there. And one of the jobs that I have under the pit stop is rolling the left front tire. So I'm not. I don't go.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You're going to get run over.
Dirty Mo Media
I don't go over the wall.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Okay.
Dirty Mo Media
I stay on this side of the wall. So they go. The car comes in, they go around the right side to change the tires. When they take the right front off, they roll it toward us. So there's me and another guy there that's got to catch that tire. If we don't, it's a penalty. The tire can't go uncontrolled, so we have to catch it at the same time. I will deliver the left front tire over the wall, and as they come around, I'll kind of easily roll it toward the tire carrier and he'll grab it and index it and put it on the car for the changer. And so that's it. It's like. It's like, bam, bam, bam. Done.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And so are you so excited to do that?
Dirty Mo Media
I went to trackhouse today to practice. We had a little three stop practice, and they're like, you got it. You're good. And so I kind of know exactly what I'm. I don't. I didn't want the first time I did it to be the very live stop.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm sure they didn't either.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. And so. Not that I won't screw it up, but I'm feeling more confident now.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Have you not ever done this before?
Dirty Mo Media
I've never done this.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
How cool.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. So, you know, again, I won't have any real. And. And Latart said he'd come hang out. So, you know, if I just. If I pass out from anxiety, the tart can just take over.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Take the headset.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. And so let's Hope that doesn't happen either, but it should be a incredible adrenaline rush of excitement just to be, you know, kind of part of the team. And I know I'm the owner and have been owning cars forever, but, man, you're. As an owner, you feel. So when you're at the track, you really have no.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You're disconnected from some of the things.
Dirty Mo Media
You don't really have much going on, but. So this will be fun. And certainly a point of view that I've never seen. I. I find it fun and challenging to, like, put yourself in all the different scenarios to see the sport from all these angles, like waving the green flag or broadcaster or, you know, owner, driver, all these different perspectives give you appreciation for the sport in different ways. And seeing it. Seeing it, that. Seeing it from a crew chief's perspective is something that is terribly, terribly intimidating. And their. Their roles are so tough and critical. And so I kind of have an idea what it's like, and this probably won't really give me an entire glimpse into the background, but, man, it's gonna be fun. So that. So. So Friday, I'm going to go the track for a little bit, and then Saturday I'll do my normal work in the booth for the cup stuff for Amazon, and then jump down there and do, you know, sit on the box for the. For the Xfinity race, and hopefully we have a good day. And, you know, there's, you know, we have four race cars out on the racetrack, four chances to win. Yeah, we got a really good shot at it. I would love if any of our cars go to Victor Lane for Nicole and Isla to get an experience, what.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That'S like, they would absolutely adore that.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, that might be the only way they get to actually ever do it, because Daddy's about done, so.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's not what I hear.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, well, I. I'm. I'm on the fence, so it's easy for me to go. You never know. But.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, he said that on. I don't know who he said that to the other day, but I texted him immediately, and I was like, like what?
Dirty Mo Media
I was in Nashville.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Is this how I'm gonna find out you're racing? It's over. Like, what's happening?
Dirty Mo Media
I was in Nashville on doing some media at the media center, and somebody asked me something that was like, sounded like, you know, well, you're never gonna run again, so how's this feel? And I was like, well, I never said I'd never run again. You know, that's kind of the temperature Temperature of that conversation. It was like, man, I. I don't know if I'm totally done. Who knows what, you know, I might want to do two years from now or. But I'm. I don't have. There's not like a. I'm not sitting here going, man, how am I going to bring this up? Talk to Amy about this.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, sometimes that happens. I just thought it was funny that whatever question was asked, that's what his response was.
Dirty Mo Media
I just was. I didn't like it being assumed.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, I hear.
Dirty Mo Media
But no, that. That creatures gonna be fun.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, Pocono is gonna be fun. The girls are gonna have a great time. I've always loved going to Pocono with you because it's just gorgeous up there. And so we'll have a good time.
Dirty Mo Media
So we got a game we're gonna play.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We do. Before we do that, I wanna tell you, I went to get my hair done last week.
Dirty Mo Media
You look amazing. I told you when it came in today, you just look fantastic.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's so sweet, honey. You haven't seen me in days. So that's probably why, like, oh, look, it's a pretty girl. My highlights were like, mega blonde, and my roots are not. So I just wanted her to melt them out. Well, she's drying my hair, and she goes, oh, look at that. You have a couple natural highlights in the back. I'm like, natural highlights? Like, gray hair. I have gray hairs. And she goes, oh, just a couple. I'm like, no, I don't. No, No, I don't. I refuse to believe this. I'm not ready. Not accepting it. So, yeah, that was her easy way to break it to me that I'm starting to get my hair.
Dirty Mo Media
So if you were to say, hey, I think I take after this person, your grandmother, on either side. What do you expect? What do you think would happen if you just let it go?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I don't know, because my nana always had pretty dark hair. Like, even into later life. It just grayed way later in her life. And Granny's is. She's had such a beauty shop hairdo her whole life. I'm not sure.
Dirty Mo Media
So you don't know.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
But I look like her otherwise, for the most part.
Dirty Mo Media
Look how your dad.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Dad's hair's dark. He's got some salt and pepper, but his hair's always been real dark, like, he's always had brown hair. So I'm not sure.
Dirty Mo Media
You're gonna definitely have some grays if you don't, you know, if you don't fool with it, you're gonna get some grays.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Just like, here we are.
Dirty Mo Media
It's weird, too, because it'll. The hair. It's not like the hair.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's not like you're talking about gray hairs. And now all of a sudden, you're like.
Dirty Mo Media
It's not like the gray grows out like the root.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No, they just start growing up.
Dirty Mo Media
No, it's like the whole hair turns gray.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, no, that's not how it's happening here. So there were two, and they're wiring. They were sticking straight up. She was like, yeah, see, I felt.
Dirty Mo Media
Like I woke up one day and it was just like, they're 10% of your hair just flipped gray.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, that happened after we had one color to another.
Dirty Mo Media
Immediately, the whole length of the hair.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. Your hair went on your head and on your face right after you had to.
Dirty Mo Media
People that, like, get scared and their hair turns white.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
Like in that song by the Crash Test Dummies. Once there was this kid who. Yeah, that song. Yeah. His hair turned to bright white. Is a line in the song.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
My mom had a thing in the front of her hair like it. That happened almost, it seemed like overnight. And it looked like it was stressed, but it was just like one big old stripe, like, right here in the front of her hair. I don't know.
Dirty Mo Media
I think it was it. Crash Test Dummies. Yeah. That's a good, good band.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. So in that. In that vein, we're gonna play a game, and the game is called Name that Girl Thing.
Dirty Mo Media
How do you play the game?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We're gonna. I'm gonna list off some things, and I want you to tell me what you think they are or your best description of what they are, if you know what it is.
Dirty Mo Media
No hints, no help.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Nope. Ready?
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
First one is Botox.
Dirty Mo Media
Oh. That's when you get the injections in your face.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
But what does it do?
Dirty Mo Media
It takes. It makes your. It makes your muscles not work, so the wrinkles stop.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Damn, you're good. All right. He knows what Botox is. All right, what are Spanx?
Dirty Mo Media
This is finally making the intern smile. I've been waiting on them to crack a smile the whole show.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, all right. Spanx.
Dirty Mo Media
Spanx. Spanx are sort of an. Like an underwear that you wear that high that squeezes your body and makes your body look thinner.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, Shapewear. They make Spanx for men too, right?
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. Oh, yeah, I'm sure. Yeah. You know, I don't have a pair.
Audience Member
Really confidently.
Dirty Mo Media
I could have a pair here soon.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He is very confident. I Will say, every time I'm putting my Spanx on, he seems to peep around the corner in the closet. And I'm highly embarrassed. I'm like, can you just get out of here, please? What's balayage?
Dirty Mo Media
No clue. Let me try to guess. Balayage.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Balayage.
Dirty Mo Media
That sounds like a workout routine.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's not. It actually is a highlighting process where they just kind of paint it on.
Dirty Mo Media
I'm going to go to the balayage class tonight.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, that sounds like fun. Yeah, it sounds like a good dance.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, it does.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Liquid gel.
Dirty Mo Media
Well, I mean, I've heard of liquid gel.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You have?
Dirty Mo Media
Yes.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I think you've heard of liquid nails.
Dirty Mo Media
No, I've heard it in, like, a commercial. I mean, liquid gel sounds like a. A hair product.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No.
Dirty Mo Media
What is it?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It is fingernail. Fake fingernail.
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, damn. That's right. Yep. What do you call it, though?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, so that's gel polish. Liquid gel is like the actual fingernail, the shell, the shape that hardens.
Dirty Mo Media
What do you call it? Acrylic.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Acrylic. No. Well, no, it's the newer version of that. Yeah. What does LBD stand for? Look at her and her lbd. Not a clue.
Dirty Mo Media
No.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
None of you. Alex. No, for real.
Dirty Mo Media
Lbd. Lbd.
Audience Member
Never heard of that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
This is not a new term.
Dirty Mo Media
I gotta guess. No hints. So I'm gonna think the first word is lower, and the middle word is body.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Lower body.
Dirty Mo Media
And I don't know what the last one is.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It stands for a little black dress. Oh, yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
Oh.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's a term that, like, girls have been using forever. Like, if you got nothing, just put on your little black dress and then. Yeah. What is contour shape?
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, no, contour is makeup.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. How do you know that?
Dirty Mo Media
Because I am a broadcaster and we at times wear makeup. I don't know.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You contour your face.
Dirty Mo Media
No, I don't know what contour. I don't know what the process. I don't know what the step of the makeup process where contour comes in. I just know you've relatively.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
At the beginning.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
And I've done some shopping for you. Sometimes I'll go to Bed Bath and Beyond and just randomly shop and just be like, just sell me something that she might like. So they're like, we got this new contour.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Bed Bath and Beyond doesn't sell.
Dirty Mo Media
Bed Bath and Beyond. What is it called? Alta. Yeah, I'm sorry. I know where I'm at.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Same shopping center.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. Us guys, we don't even know the street names, but we know where we're going.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's all that matters. All right. What's an espadrille?
Dirty Mo Media
An espa. Drill.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Espadrille.
Dirty Mo Media
Is that one word? Is it a like, something drill? Like real real? It's one word. Espadrille.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Espadrille.
Dirty Mo Media
Damn.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And it ends in an S, which is silent. Espadrille.
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, like the word aisle, sir. It has a silent S in it. This is something that's found in the bathroom.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Something that's found in the bathroom?
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What do you think it is?
Dirty Mo Media
Is my right.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I don't know. What do you think it is?
Dirty Mo Media
Golly.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I can't just give it to you. You guys.
Dirty Mo Media
A little. I think it's makeup remover, maybe.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No, makeup remover. An espadrille is a woman's shoe. A style of shoe, like, usually a wedge, and it's got rope around you.
Dirty Mo Media
You should have said no when I said it's found in the bathroom.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I wanted to see if you were going to figure it out.
Dirty Mo Media
Damn it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You should come up with something.
Dirty Mo Media
Let me keep on going down the wrong road, Amy.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
All right, if I say light, regular, and super, what do you. What do you think that means?
Dirty Mo Media
What is that light, regular, super?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What does that refer to?
Dirty Mo Media
I think it's referring to something to do with the hairdo.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No, it refers to tampons.
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, my God.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What does light, regular, and super mean?
Dirty Mo Media
Really?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
You want me to really answer that? Yeah, I think the. The severity of the. Of the. Of the thing is happening.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yes, that's right.
Dirty Mo Media
Okay, how would you. How would you word it?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Some idiot dudes think that it has to do with a size.
Dirty Mo Media
No, I would say that it would be like.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Okay, it has to do with your flow. The heaviness flow.
Dirty Mo Media
There we go. That's the proper word to use.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It's this polite word. Yeah, there you go. What is period sinking?
Dirty Mo Media
Are we still in the same vein here?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, this is all girly, weird stuff.
Dirty Mo Media
That, you know from the last thing we just talked about.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, it has to do with your period.
Dirty Mo Media
Period sinking. That means maybe that it's late.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I can sink.
Dirty Mo Media
I don't know.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Did the ship sink, though?
Dirty Mo Media
You're loving this too much.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No, the superior didn't go bye bye in sync.
Dirty Mo Media
What does it mean?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So you can sync up with other females if you're around each other a lot and, like, your cycle will change and be on at the same time.
Dirty Mo Media
I'm sorry.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's how the witchery is. It really? Is that crazy? You can Actually, like, your hormones affect another woman's hormones.
Dirty Mo Media
I got you. Like, y' all could hang out and all, and she could make.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yes.
Dirty Mo Media
You could fire her off, and she might start soon. Yeah. Is that what you mean?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yes.
Dirty Mo Media
And she'll be like, we synced up.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yes.
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, that happens.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Wow. Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
Okay, so you have to be careful. Do you call each other and be.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Like, hey, man, yeah, we're going on vacation? Katie, are you on your period?
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, we're gonna go. Jamie, what is that game y' all play?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What game?
Dirty Mo Media
Bonka, bunco, bunco, bunco.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
Does everybody have to make sure they're not gonna end up syncing up?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I think it has to be a couple days. You can't just do it, like, you know, for two hours. Oh, my gosh.
Dirty Mo Media
Y' all wanted to do this.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What does it mean to bake your makeup?
Dirty Mo Media
To bake your makeup?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
I guess it's set in a hot car. Got too messed up. Got messed up, Got melted.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Nope.
Dirty Mo Media
It got too.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You probably have seen this. You just didn't know what the terminology was.
Dirty Mo Media
To bake your makeup.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
I mean, are we talking about contour?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Kind of.
Dirty Mo Media
Because I know contour. What do we talk. What type of makeup are we talking about? The kind that's, like, the powder. Oh, the powder. To bake it is that when you. You get. You do this. Like, you get some of it off so you don't put too much on because you'll brush, and then you'll be like, nope.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
When you bake it, you actually pile it on and you kind of press it and leave it and let it sit for a little while, and then you dust the excess off. But it's a way to, like, heavily layer it where it put your foundation. Yeah. It's a little bit more sturdy, I guess. It's not something I really do, but. Yeah. What does girl dinner mean?
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, when all you and your friends go to dinner.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No.
Dirty Mo Media
What?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Girl dinner is when I sit and eat Triscuits and cheese and wine for dinner.
Dirty Mo Media
That's hilarious.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Like, when you're gone, I get to have a girl dinner. I have to cook anything.
Dirty Mo Media
And I know what a guy dinner is now.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What? Beef jerky. And.
Dirty Mo Media
Beef jerky and pickles.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Oh, my gosh. All right, last one. And you probably know this. What does break the seal mean?
Dirty Mo Media
When you go to the bathroom?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
Potty. After, when you start drinking and you're the first one to use or when you go to the first bathroom the first time.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
Because it's gonna Then become irregular.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, I feel like that's not just for chicks.
Dirty Mo Media
No, it's for guys. For sure we use that term.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
All right, our last one. What is a tight line?
Dirty Mo Media
A tight line.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What does tight line mean?
Dirty Mo Media
When your tights leave an impression on your skin?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No. Although that does happen if you have ballet tights. Like, the seam tight line is a really tight eyeliner line that way off. All right, good job. Thanks for playing.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, that's fun.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Hi, guys. Dale Jr. And I are in the Dirty Mind Media Studios for another episode of Bless yous Heart. And we would love to hear what you have for us today on Ask Amy. What's your first question?
Audience Member
All right, well, a couple people in the chat and Bev on Facebook wanted to know if you guys have heard. Heard Cole Swindell's new song called Dale Jr. And what do you think about it?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
We have heard Cole Swindell's new song. It's wonderful. We love Cole. We're friends with him, and he's such a sweetheart. But I'll let Dale elaborate on this one, because I know you know more about the storyline of the song than I do.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. So, yeah, Cole told me about this song. He sent it to me in a text message, and. And it was really cool that he would even do that. Always got a really big kick out of anytime anyone ever mentioned dad in a song and never imagined that I would ever be any. Any part of anything like that. But he told me, he's like, yeah, I'm gonna put it on my next album. And so I knew this months ago, right? The album comes out, there's the song, and I'm watching him, like, sort of tease each little song, right? And I'm thinking, man, I wonder if he's gonna do. Says, I don't know. He's probably not gonna do this with every song on the album. Maybe. Maybe he'll do it with a song titled Dale Jr. Maybe he won't. I don't know. But he's. And when he sent it to me, he's, dude, Cole is a regular person.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He is very down to earth.
Dirty Mo Media
Down to earth sensitive. Like, he wants you to. He won't. He doesn't want to ever do anything that's, like, you know, gonna make you feel a certain way. And so. And I kind of know that, right? And so when he sent that to me, I was like, I really didn't know how to respond to it because it was. I don't know. It was just. I didn't know what to say. I wanted to tell him that I was really happy about it and that I was like, holy. This popular country artist has written a song entitled My Name after it. Clearly that's badass. But I really didn't know how to say that or if I should outwardly express that. And. And so, you know, he was like, are you okay with this? And I'm like, hell yes. I'm all right with it. And, you know, I listened to the song. I love the story, and I love how he connected our fathers. And. And you know, that in my opinion, that's kind of the focus of the song is not so much me. It's more. It's more about our dads and. And. And how cool they were. And so when the song finally starts to get some traction, I was trying to think about how to sell, celebrate it, support it, because he wanted me to support it or he would want me to support it, I would assume. And so that's the angle I took. I was like, man, this is awesome. He tied all this together. And our dads are great dudes, and they're very missed. And. And so I'm just thankful it's been well received too.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Number one.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, it's like number one on iTunes. Tons of great feedback. People are really digging it. People have their own connecting to it. They are. They have their own experiences that are very similar. They have people, whether it's their fathers, other relatives that they miss. And so it's been fun. I never anticipated it having any of that type of reaction, so. And NASCAR supported it. And Cole will text me. He's like, dude, NASCAR just shared it. This is amazing. You know, and. And I text him. I got my feelings the other day, and I was like, man, I'm telling you, I really am very thankful for this. And I'm just. You're so talented, and you could have went. You could have did anything else. And I'm so thankful that you. You. You shined a light on dad. And I really. Our friendship means the world to me, and I'm thankful that it means the world to you. So it's been cool.
Audience Member
Yeah, that's really cool. Really cool idea for a song too. It's really unique.
Dirty Mo Media
He did a good. He's a There. He. He said. Kind of giving me a peek into the, you know, the. Behind the curtain on how. How they write and how he writes. And he's. He's a hands on.
Audience Member
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
Kind of guy, man. He works hard to. On his craft, and that's awesome. Yep.
Audience Member
Our next question is From Ethan. And speaking of Father's Day, what did you guys celebrate when and how did you do Father's Day this year, basically?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, since Dale was in Mexico on Father's Day, we waited to do Father's Day till yesterday. Really? Was that right? When did you open your presents? So we had got a couple of gifts, and it was just yesterday. Yes, right. He traveled home on Monday, so yesterday morning, the girls were, like, itching to give him his presents, so they did that first thing in the morning. And then yesterday, we went out for Mexican food, and Dale got a margarita the size of my head. And it was kind of a mundane. Is that the right word? It was very simple. Father's Day celebration, especially since it was just the four of us. Dale doesn't like a fuss in that way. Like, usually on Father's Day, we all make him go out to brunch and do all those things. So I think he had a more enjoyable experience this year.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, I enjoyed it. We. They got me a Bluetooth speaker. I can always use another one of those. A man can never have too many of those. And so, you know, there's all sizes and types nowadays, and we need the variety. But I.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
When I. When he opened it, though, I have his initials put on this, like, new little speaker that I bought, and he goes, oh, yeah, I just got a couple of those for the boat. I'm like, a couple. So now you got three.
Dirty Mo Media
It's the kind that you can chain together.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
So you can have one downstairs, one upstairs. We had that new houseboat, that 19, or the 2004 houseboat. And I'm like, it doesn't have really great stereo on it. So I was like, man, I'm gonna go get a couple of these. But that was fun. And then she texted me later, like, I totally forgot. I was like, all right, great. You know, good day. Good, good gifts. Handmade cards from the girls. I'm set. And Amy's like, hey, man, you know, when do you have another day off so you can go, you know, do something right, or whatever you want to do? And I was. So we're like, well, it doesn't look like that's going to be an option. So she texted me later, and she's like, hey, do you want to go to Pine the Sky? And I was like, I don't know. I mean, I kind of. Kind of want a margarita. Kind of wants. I mean, we just can't get off of his.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Mexico.
Dirty Mo Media
We came from Mexico. And I'm. I'm still like, yeah. Kind of want a margarita, to be honest with you. So I. But it wasn't registering with me why she said pine the sky, that she wanted to take me to dinner.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'm like, well, this is one of his favorite places.
Dirty Mo Media
Let's just see where the girls want to go. You know, it's like, whatever. Dinner will be great. Family dinner. But I didn't. I wasn't like, self aware. We ended up going and getting a big old margarita. It was cool.
Audience Member
That's good.
Dirty Mo Media
I couldn't finish it, though. It was.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It was in a fish bowl.
Dirty Mo Media
I can only do about. Finish about half of that thing.
Audience Member
It's a lot of margarita in that big.
Dirty Mo Media
It was a lot, but it was fun. I was. I was entertained. Amy was. Amy was stressed out.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I was. I was very overstimulated between my kids and all that, the things happening around me. And Dale ordered the size, that giant drink and was taking his time with it. I was like, oh, my God.
Audience Member
Enjoying himself. Next question's from Debbie. She saw Dale tweet out a picture that you guys got engaged 10 years ago yesterday, I believe, or. So was there something you did on your wedding day that you'd recommend every bride do?
Dirty Mo Media
Oh.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Probably not on the wedding day. Cause we didn't really, like. I regret not seeing him before the wedding. He didn't want to do that. I regret not getting more pictures and stuff like that before because we got married later in the evening and all of our pictures are dark. I regret not having that first look thing because we didn't do engagement photos or anything. We have no pictures otherwise. But that's really the only reason. The surprise of seeing each other was fabulous. You know, when you.
Dirty Mo Media
You told me that there was. I can't remember exactly what it was, but there was something about the. The, you know, being around your family, your girls, your girlfriends and all that. Something about that that you, You. You might have absorbed more fully. I can't remember what it was, but you told me you were like, man, there was this thing that happened or this experience that was going on that I wish I would have really took in better. I can't remember what that was, but I remember you talking about that, but I don't know.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It was. There was a lot going on. I would not.
Dirty Mo Media
I would. I would advise if you're white, no matter what your wife says or your wife to be says, I would advise against seeing her before the wedding because it would be great either way, surely. But not. I. I was in a room with my buddies and we were all hanging out and they're, you know, cleaning everybody's neck up. They had a couple girls in there that were. They're trimming and carrying on and ripping on our nose hairs and all that. And yeah, the full spa experience. Oh boy. They put that hot glue in the, in, in your nose right up in here.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Glue.
Dirty Mo Media
And we had these little popsicle sticks, these little popsicle sticks hanging out for like five minutes. And then they come out and rip them out. And you're like, hell yeah. I mean it hurts, but you're like, hair's gone, no more tickling. So all that was so much fun. And then, you know, you, you move on from that and you're standing on that stage and everybody's in the room and the next thing you're gonna see is Amy or your wife. And it was. If I had seen her an hour or two before, that moment might have been different. And I will never forget what. I'm not saying that just. Cause she's sitting here. I will never ever be able to replicate the feeling I had when she turned the corner and faced me and started coming down that aisle. There is no feeling like it. So I would like try your best to hold off. I went and stayed in the tree house, you know, to stay away from her and not be. And try to really. And that was awesome. That was so cool to be able to, you know, have that feeling and it be so genuine. I'm not sure it would have been the same. It was still been good, but not quite as perfect.
Audience Member
Yeah, I kind of agree. I had a friend do like first reveal pictures, what they call it, and it was like four hours before the wedding. And it kind of felt like the actual walking down the aisle part wasn't as maybe special for even the spectators because you're not.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, I've seen it where they take the pictures where like you're separated by something so you don't have to actually see each other, but like you have to drive daylight.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
So that would have. That's just the only thing I regret not having more photos. We have plenty of photos, but like it's party scene stuff. Like we had a great big amazing wedding.
Dirty Mo Media
We had two parties.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It was New Year's Eve, we got.
Dirty Mo Media
Married and then had two back to back parties.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
The wedding reception, doors open like you went into another space. And then we had the New Year's party. So like it was.
Audience Member
Oh true.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Cause a really awesome time.
Dirty Mo Media
I can't drive this point home. We had the reception which had A stage, a band, conga line, dancing, drinking. Felt like. That was like an hour and a half, two hours. And then a curtain fell and there was a ballroom, and it was. It was New Year's Eve party.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. So you walked through and, like, went into a whole different space.
Dirty Mo Media
I've raised a disco ball, a lot of hell, partied my ass off, but I've never had a back to back party. That's a hell of. That's an amazing idea, y' all. We're gonna party our ass off and then immediately start again. Totally different party. That's. That's something we need to try to replicate.
Audience Member
That's.
Dirty Mo Media
Well, that's tough too.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Maybe on our 10th anniversary, we'll have another New Year's party.
Audience Member
A back to back party. That's interesting. People in the chat now want you. They want you to list off your top three favorite parties. Oh, that's hard.
Dirty Mo Media
It is hard. Key West. Key West. Key West. I don't know. No, our wedding night was the best one for sure.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
There's been some fun parties.
Audience Member
That's really cool. Next one's kind of on the similar line. Katie wants to know if. Do y' all consider the day you got proposed an anniversary and do you celebrate it like one?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, we always acknowledge it. There's not like a dinner or anything that happens, but, like, it seems like just as special of a day as the wedding day.
Dirty Mo Media
It does to me. Yeah, I have it in my calendar. And honestly, otherwise I probably wouldn't acknowledge it as often. Annually. But I have it in my calendar to remind myself. And it's just like. It's just a quick, brief conversation we have at the. At the kitchen counter in the morning, like, hey, this is the day. And it's just fun to think back about because we were in Germany. We were at this old village in this old church, you know, and so it's just fun to think back about that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It helps you to, like, just spark the memory. Yeah.
Audience Member
Yeah, I get that. Shifting gears a little bit. Daniel wants to know, what's one thing your kids have that you wish had existed when you were a kid?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I mean, iPads. Although I loved playing outside and I have to kick them out, Nerds clusters would be one. So I took the kids to the movies last week, and Nicole's only request was nerd clusters.
Audience Member
That's pretty awesome. Yeah, that's pretty awesome.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Like father, like father, like son.
Dirty Mo Media
She's like, hey, Dad, I had some nerd clusters. I'm like, we're connecting right now. This Is awesome. Let's talk about this.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I have a strong feeling, too. She only. Only wanted those because it's something that her daddy eats.
Audience Member
She picked Nerds clusters.
Dirty Mo Media
They're easy to like. Yeah, probably some of. I mean, mine would definitely be, like, the foods and stuff. I was. Our. Our diet was so strict. The house I grew up in, we didn't have no fun. But they get. They get all the cool stuff.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah, we didn't have fun stuff till I got in, like, into high school, a little bit older. They didn't really have the fun stuff.
Audience Member
Shifted around the other way. Now, what do you wish your kids had that you had? Is it more going outside like that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Or just the freedom.
Audience Member
The freedom.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
The freedom to just go outside. We were outside on our bikes, running the neighborhood. We didn't. Nobody was nervous about that.
Dirty Mo Media
And, you know, we get in a.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
You use a landline, and mom would call, like, just one or two friends, and we were always one at one house or the other. Somebody knew where we are. It's that easy.
Dirty Mo Media
It's that. And this is going to sound terrible, probably, but it's that and it's the, you know, the. The riding in the car seat, buckled in the back seat. You know, you can't come out of the big. You can't come out of the car seat and get in the booster until you're 80 pounds. You can't ride up front until you're eight years old. And we were riding up down the road in our dads and mom's cars, and I was laying all over the back seat of mom's 78 Monte Carlo, not giving a. Not buckled to nothing.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
If dad had to stop fast, he threw his arm out.
Audience Member
Like, the arm break.
Dirty Mo Media
I mean, acting. I'm. I can't, like, I can't in my mind go back to that. But one. I will say it's annoying and frustrated to me that I can't put Isla in a booster, in my pickup truck, my single cab, and go for a ride, you know, but not that I would. You know what I mean? Because we're trained, our brains are trained to, like, abide by the norms of today. And. But I damn wish, you know, we.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Have some old cars that have bench seats or, like, just two bucket seats, and you just can't take them.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah, I gotta wait till, like, I can get to a certain age to be able to go, hey, let's take my. Now we can go in this truck. Right? Instead of having to take the extended cab or whatever.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Well, that'll Be special, too, when you get it, Will.
Dirty Mo Media
But, I mean, damn it, be nice right now.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah.
Audience Member
Our last question, kind of off the wall. It's from Blair. If you could have a lifetime supply of anything, what would it be?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
A lifetime supply of anything.
Audience Member
Anything. Anything in the world.
Dirty Mo Media
Damn it.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
That's a hard question.
Audience Member
I'll give you one that you guys might not be thinking of. It's kind of boring, but any toiletry product, because I hate buying those.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. If I just had a lifetime, just toilet paper.
Audience Member
Toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, stuff like that. Like, just.
Dirty Mo Media
It's something of convenience.
Audience Member
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
I hate buying trash bags.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Gasoline, Food.
Audience Member
Yeah, Food was one that I think everyone's picked or, like a luxury or something. I'm like, I want.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I wish the car always had gas in it. It was always full.
Dirty Mo Media
Really?
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Okay. Yeah. I don't know. There's just one of those things you. It's a pain in the butt to.
Dirty Mo Media
Mess with putting gas in the car.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. I mean, you can order. We can order the toiletries to the house. Amazon will bring those to you. But they won't bring gasoline and put it in your car.
Dirty Mo Media
They should.
Audience Member
Good business idea.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I don't know.
Dirty Mo Media
We could get you a battery car. You just plug it in when you get home.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I'd probably lose the plug and forget. Forget.
Dirty Mo Media
Drive. Cruise to a stop. Come get me.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. Mayday.
Dirty Mo Media
I go, I can't not think of food. I just can't not think of food. It'd be. I do. Pie in the sky. Pizza. So good.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Ice cream in the freezer.
Dirty Mo Media
Oh, man. Chocolate mint. Chocolate chip mint.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
If I get ice cream. If. If I get any ice cream, I don't care if it's one pint or ten. He eats every single bit of it. Don't you?
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah. Every single bit of it.
Dirty Mo Media
Don't whack.
Audience Member
So once the.
Dirty Mo Media
Once I'm pulling you to buy it. But if it comes.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
How do you know it's even in there?
Dirty Mo Media
If it's in there? I gotta. I can't not.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He just checks just to see, and.
Audience Member
He'S like, oh, once that lid's open, it's gone.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Yeah.
Dirty Mo Media
No, no, no. I'll. I'll eat a couple. So I will go and get a scoop and eat it, and then the next day, and maybe another. Just one spoon. And then, you know, I might have a servant or a servant or two.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
But he'll stay up late and just take it to the couch.
Dirty Mo Media
Yeah. There are some weak moments, but all right.
Audience Member
That's it for Ask Amy.
