Rich Davis
To make history in Atlanta. He's going to have a lot of lemon pepper wings at Magic City.
Steve Covino
I mean, what's the record? I mean, for lap dances. I mean, for wings. I mean, I don't know. Look, I have a dilemma regarding the All Star game already. Oh, boy. And I'll tell you all about it and more. We're giving away prizes today. Chipotle worker or WNBA player? We got to talk Aaron Rodgers. We got to talk sex. And when I think of sex, I think of Iowa Sam.
Rich Davis
There he is, the sexy I was Sam.
Steve Covino
Oh, yes, the sexy Iowa Sam. We got. Is that J. Stu hanging out? J. Stu's hanging out in the other studio looking handsome. We got Dan Byer. We got Spotty on the videos we're streaming live on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page. So join us again, Covino and Rich at 87799 on Fox. I hope you had an Anthony Volpe sort of night. Or should I say an Anthony Volpe slide sort of night.
Rich Davis
I was gonna say. What did you. Is that a free shirt? You got a Volpe shirt free? That would be like Danny G wearing a Michael Conforto shirt.
Steve Covino
Volpe representing jersey. You don't see the state of Jersey right there. And the O of Vol. Jersey boy with the greatest slide of the season last night for the Yankees come from behind win. They weren't getting no hit.
Rich Davis
I will say that game annoyed Me, because we do have our Mets, Yankees bet. Like, all right, I'm not going to lose a game. They were getting no hit in the eighth, and then all of a sudden, floodgates open, hit after hit after hit.
Steve Covino
But that Volpe slide really brought it home. And I'm rocking a Volpe T shirt, as you could see on fox Sports Radio's YouTube page. Hope you had a Cooper flag with the 10 points sort of night, even though Bronny James looked like he had some poise yesterday with eight points. Some preseason basketball. The hottest ticket in town. Hope you enjoyed your Thursday. Definitely enjoying our Friday. And there's some great fights tonight. I'll tell you all about on weekend hobnobbing later in the show.
Rich Davis
I. I just wanted to start with, you know, social media is a place where it's not just your parents that are getting tricked anymore. Have you seen those viral videos floating around like, yo, send this to your parents. And it's all these news reports that look like aliens and, you know, sea serpents are coming for us. And it's like, yeah, see how great AI is? Don't believe everything you see, parents. Well, AI has fooled a lot of people. And it's hit Wimbledon. I don't know if you saw this fool me once.
Steve Covino
Shame on. Shame on you. It fooled me. We can't get fooled again.
Rich Davis
I've always said that, Sam. Can't get fooled again.
Steve Covino
I mean, to be fair, let's not make fun of the boomer generation. We've all been fooled. I don't want to call you out, Balloon boy. Remember when that kid was in a balloon and he was sailing across the. I don't know where was that. Remember balloon boy? That kid Hawk? I remember Rich was in tears. We were watching it live. He's like, there's a little boy in there.
Iowa Sam
Did his dad say that the boy was in there?
Steve Covino
But it turned out he wasn't. And there's a whole documentary.
Rich Davis
Falcon. Do you mean the little boy?
Steve Covino
Falcon was Rich. I was like, this is insane. Rich was like, I don't know if this is the time to joke. He was in tears about this. I'm like, this is ridiculous.
Rich Davis
You were laughing about a potential little boy in a weather.
Steve Covino
Everything about it was ridiculous at the time. I remember, like, live coverage. I'm like, there's a boy in there.
Rich Davis
Get out of here.
Iowa Sam
Was it shaped like a flying saucer?
Steve Covino
It was like a stupid balloon. Yeah, yeah.
Rich Davis
It was a weather balloon. And Kavino was laughing at the thought of a little boy.
Steve Covino
We Were, like, not laughing about it. But Rich, I remember, really was buying into it. He's not the only one. But my point is, we've all been fooled. How about the time I got fooled when it came to. I think it was called Liquid mountaineering. Was that the name of the sports guy?
Rich Davis
Covino thought there were shoes that could make you run on water.
Steve Covino
There was a video so convincing about something called liquid mountaineering that they invented a shoe that if you ran at just the right speed and you had enough momentum, you could get, you know, halfway through a lake a little bit. And these guys were doing it.
Rich Davis
I'm like, no way.
Steve Covino
And I actually found myself saying it on the air. And then, you know, like, mid story, I'm realizing how everybody's looking at me. I'm like, yeah, that's probably fake, huh?
Rich Davis
We've had some interesting takes over the years.
Dan Byer
Did you also think Kobe jumped over that sports car that was going 140 miles an hour?
Steve Covino
Rich's.
Rich Davis
I may have thought that didn't.
Steve Covino
Was it you or your dad who thought that Evan Longoria saved that reporter.
Rich Davis
When he caught that mom? My mom, Richie. Can you believe he saved the reporter?
Steve Covino
There's that fake clip. It was, like, from a commercial or something, some sort of promotion where Evan Longoria, Gatorade commercial.
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Steve Covino
He catches a ball, you know, without looking, and saves a reporter. We were fooled by the Tom Brady throwing the football into the.
Rich Davis
What even call that, like, the pitching machine?
Steve Covino
Yeah, the. The throwing machine, whatever that was. We've been fooled many a times. So my point is, we got to be easy on our parents. Plus, their eyes aren't as good as they used to be.
Rich Davis
I remember when fake AI women first became a thing. I'll admit. I was. I was sort of fooled to the point where I'm like, yeah, this girl's sort of hot, right? I'm like, wait a minute. As I looked at all her pictures, like, she has no videos.
Steve Covino
Oh.
Rich Davis
And that is what's happening right now at Wimbledon. There's this ridiculously gorgeous woman, Mia Zulu. And everyone's like, yeah, she's like the hottest woman, and she's covering Wimbledon. And look at her. She's. She's. Courtside, and look at her. She's. She's.
Steve Covino
You know what? Getting all the coverage without knowing the story. I'm pretty sure if you scroll through social media, you do the ball scroll. You're just looking around every once in a while, you may have seen her. Because I didn't even know the story, but I'VE seen the image. Look at her right there. Yeah. She's wearing. She's this beautiful blonde girl. Looks like a young Cameron Diaz. I'm talking like the mask Cameron Diaz. Right? She's got blonde hair, bright blue. Yeah. Somebody stop me. She's got bright blue eyes. She's wearing this white sort of I'm a hot, rich socialite sort of thing going on. So I've seen this image before I even knew the story, but I just scrolled past it a few times.
Iowa Sam
Hey, Cove, will she do this to you?
Steve Covino
Tear out your heart, put it in a blender and hit trape. Yeah, somebody.
Rich Davis
I just sent it, by the way, to you. Danny G. Dan Byer. Dan Byer. At first glance, Danny G. At first glance, do you see this woman and say, oh, AI. Or you're like, oh, young attractive woman covering Wimbledon. Because this picture fooled millions of people.
Bridget Todd
Yeah, I think that looks absolutely legit.
Steve Covino
Looks real.
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Bridget Todd
Pretty British. So you're like, yes, like a hot.
Rich Davis
Hot British chick covering Wimbledon. And everyone is, who is she? Let me look at her photos. All these new followers come to find she is AI. There's no real woman. She's not covering anything.
Steve Covino
You know what's funny is the headline and everyone's sentiment was she's too good to be true, cuz she's fake. Yes. She's not even real. She's artificial intelligence. And you got people out there falling in love. It's a matter of time. Our boy Gary V. Gary Vaynerchuk says people will be married to AI characters within our lifetime because these relationships are totally suffice. My girlfriend's a little younger than me and I know for a fact that her friends.
Rich Davis
Okay, Bill Belichick.
Steve Covino
No, not even close.
Rich Davis
And by the way, we haven't heard of her from him in a minute. Huh. He must be on a beach somewhere grabbing cheeks.
Steve Covino
Don't worry. Smacking cheeks. He's busy smacking cheeks.
Rich Davis
Getting ready for unc.
Steve Covino
My girlfriend's friends totally use Chat GPT and AI as basically like their guidance counselor, their, their therapist. And they develop these bonds and relationships. Like if they don't want to ask their friends, they're asking Chat GPT, like for relationship advice.
Rich Davis
It is wild. It is wild. You would say this.
Steve Covino
It's like it's their friend, it's their confidant. So if you think of that line of thinking, how do you think men are going to react with these hot, beautiful women responding? I like how they're fake.
Dan Byer
I like how they're standing on Business.
Steve Covino
Standing on business, bro.
Rich Davis
I'm telling you, though, it's interesting you would say that. Kavino. To tie it all together, there was an article in the New York Post talking about how women specifically are using ChatGPT and AI to ask questions about their husband or boyfriend or friendships or at work. This is happening. What should I do?
Steve Covino
You're getting an unbiased, calculated sort of opinion on things.
Rich Davis
No copay necessary. No therapy appointment that people are now. AI Therapy is a thing.
Steve Covino
I saw a story recently where some guy said he was spiritually enlightened from his discussions with ChatGPT bots. So it's ridiculous. Next level. And you can see if you're having those type of relationships without seeing somebody. Right. Imagine having those type of relationships with a fake person that looks like this Wimbledon woman.
Rich Davis
I mean, the future's headed in a weird direction.
Steve Covino
Yeah, it is.
Rich Davis
Do you think in our lifetime.
Steve Covino
I'll say.
Rich Davis
Do you think in our lifetime you're gonna know someone that has, like, a sex robot?
Steve Covino
Yes.
Iowa Sam
That's actually, like, physical, like something tangible in front of you?
Rich Davis
Because I'm saying the emotional connection is very easy, Sam. AI, there's men behind catfishing things that happen. I'm saying, do you think you're gonna know someone someday where it's like, I don't need a girlfriend. I got. Because have you seen that movie where Megan Fox plays, like, an AI robot?
Steve Covino
Not as many times as you.
Iowa Sam
You're obsessed with that for a while.
Steve Covino
I know.
Rich Davis
I couldn't stop talking.
Steve Covino
You're the only guy that talks about it. Really?
Dan Byer
Did you guys see the video recently of that robot running through the streets of Detroit?
Rich Davis
No.
Dan Byer
Prototype.
Iowa Sam
Burn it all down. Burn it all down.
Rich Davis
I just. I just wonder where the future is. And I. And I bring this up, only that was a robot.
Steve Covino
That was John C. Reilly singing Happy Birthday to Jack White in his little.
Iowa Sam
Old timey baseball shoes at the.
Steve Covino
At the Tigers game.
Rich Davis
So do what you want with that info. I just figured I'd bring it up because we've been talking about Wimbledon and all the sports going on, and it was. She was trending this hot AI woman covering. Covering tennis to find out. Yeah, she's not covering anything.
Steve Covino
Don't be fooled.
Rich Davis
She's AI.
Steve Covino
Don't be fooled. The thing is to have AI that's very convincing, though.
Iowa Sam
That looks very real. I've seen under, like, after these horrible floods in Central Texas, I kept seeing all these posts that had 30, 40,000 likes of these various country music stars and NFL players going down To Texas to help. Like Blake Shelton and Tom Brady and Mahomes. They were all fake. There was a couple real pictures mixed with an AI picture and a lot easier to tell it was AI People just completely duped.
Rich Davis
I just. I just wonder if in the future I. I was joking, but not about the sex robot. I do wonder if it's going to cause relationship problems. Danny G. I mean, I'm not saying your girlfriend, your wifey, Brenda is jealous, but I know she doesn't like, you know, she. She likes to make sure Danny G's in Jesus.
Bridget Todd
Sounded like you just said she was.
Rich Davis
Maybe a little. Would. Would Brenda be mad if she found out you were flirting with what ended up being a fake AI?
Steve Covino
Which would, like, did he know it was fake ahead of time? That matters, right?
Rich Davis
Does it? I don't know. Like, could men get in trouble if they're. If they're checking out fake things?
Steve Covino
The answer is yes.
Dan Byer
Yeah. She would be less upset if the girl looked like her, right? Because I've heard that. Yeah, exactly. Like, she doesn't even look like me. I'm not even your type. Like that sort of thing.
Steve Covino
Yeah, I agree. And by the way, cheating has been a sliding scale for years now. It is evolved because for most of our lifetime, it was, did you have any physical contact with that person? Then it became emotional cheating. Right? Now, younger people think if you're just liking people's posts on social media, you're flirting with them and therefore you're cheating because you're investing time and emotion on people on social media. So you don't think that the same thing will apply to fake AI Women, yes. Women will be mad about that and vice versa. Actually, I don't think I would care as much, to be honest. I just need to see how handsome he is naked.
Rich Davis
Some fake hunky dude your girlfriend's liking. Well, anyway, we can move along, but you know, at the All Star Game, speaking of AI Not. Not. Not so much AI, but where the future is headed. They are. They are doing the challenge strike right? At the All Star Game.
Steve Covino
Yes. Yep. Wait, the old little helmet taparoo gonna implement that. So, yeah, we're. We're seeing some evolution in baseball, which is great. And what I was about to say was, you know, you just got to figure out ways to make these. These advancements, this technology to work in your favor. I do it all the time. I use it all the time. Kids are using all the.
Rich Davis
Is it cheating in school if you're.
Steve Covino
Not using it as a tool? I think you're falling behind because you're not. You're not getting that advantage. Yeah, it's plagiarism if you're just taking what this thing says, but you use it to be creative. I mean, as a guy who's on the radio, if I'm introducing God Smack for the thousandth time, you know, hey, man, give me a fun fact about Godsmack I never heard and it'll pick up something real quick. I'm like, hey, here's something you didn't know. So you got to use these things to your advantage. The technology's there.
Rich Davis
Part rope. You're part robot.
Steve Covino
I am part robot.
Dan Byer
Humanoid. I sent you guys a video of that robot, Zion that was recently seen walking, strutting down Seven Mile Road in Detroit.
Steve Covino
Really?
Dan Byer
It says it was created by Art Cartwright, the founder of the interactive combat.
Steve Covino
Got it.
Rich Davis
A humanoid robot casually walking down the street in Detroit.
Steve Covino
Out of here. Is this thing real or is this AI? Wow, that's insane.
Rich Davis
That looks like some Will Smith crap. This is like iRobot stuff.
Steve Covino
It looks like those robots that shoot threes at the game. Like, it's sort of like that, but it moves really great. If this is real, that's awesome.
Dan Byer
This is from the Detroit News. After a stroll in Detroit, a humanoid robot goes viral.
Steve Covino
Well, here's. It's a three pronged thought. We're gonna grow up in a time where people are falling in love with AI, But I'm not. Part two, don't be fooled. At least know it's AI. At least know what's real and what's fake.
Iowa Sam
They will.
Steve Covino
Part three, use these things to your advantage. Yeah, that's really it. But this Wimbledon chicken, she is really hot.
Rich Davis
Do we resist it? Do we resist it and fight the robots?
Steve Covino
I was hoping she was covering the All Star game.
Rich Davis
Yeah, I was like, is she. Is she gonna be in a landing?
Steve Covino
So I was hoping to have a run in with this fake AI person.
Rich Davis
Imagine we made like a fake, like, third co host of our show. And what, like everyone just sweated her and. No, everyone thought she was real and it was just our little creation.
Iowa Sam
Yeah, well, it's happening on Spotify. You're also listening to music on Spotify that's made up AI and they have no idea.
Rich Davis
How do you feel about that when you hear, like on spot? Like, you'll hear on TikTok or something like, hey, we AI, here's Dr. Dre singing a Beatles song. Do you think that's cool? You're like, yeah.
Iowa Sam
And it's killing jobs. I'm so against all.
Steve Covino
I think it's cool, but they should have, like, disclaimers or something that. That they're not. They're.
Iowa Sam
They're manipulating people.
Steve Covino
I know. I don't like it.
Iowa Sam
Trust anything on your phone anymore.
Steve Covino
Like there's something that you automatically know because future generations are not going to know the difference probably, nor will they care. And it's like, yo, that's fake. But anyway, this is the story, and we report it here on the show. All right, so we should post her in our story if you want to check it out. At Covino Enriched Wimbledon. AI Influencer. She's an influencer. Made through AI. She's not real. We all hoped she was.
Rich Davis
We all were hoping.
Steve Covino
Does it matter, though?
Rich Davis
She'd be in the press box. Let me.
Steve Covino
Let me take it one step or one foot deeper. How about that? Let's say you grew up in the 80s 90s, early 2000s. You're looking through the pages of Playboy, Maxim stuff, fhm. Ooh, Vita Guerra's ass cheeks. These are people you know. Cover girls. Angel is the centerfold. Centerfolds, your chances of meeting them or ever seeing them in real life were slim to none anyway. They were just fantasies to you. So really, what's the difference? Like, you probably loved some girl in a magazine at one point in your life. What's the difference of loving this girl and putting her poster up? You're never gonna meet her. Probably never had a chance. So what's really the difference?
Rich Davis
If Pam Anderson was unattainable to you in the 90s, what's the difference?
Steve Covino
Pam Anderson was just as unattainable as this fake person.
Rich Davis
So let the fantasy.
Iowa Sam
But she exists in physical form.
Steve Covino
What difference does it make?
Rich Davis
You never gonna see her, and she's never gonna give you the time of day.
Iowa Sam
It makes a difference.
Steve Covino
No, this woman doesn't give you attitude.
Iowa Sam
At least you could go to a.
Steve Covino
This woman's not making sex tapes.
Iowa Sam
Autograph signing with Pam Anderson and get her autograph and you could, like, see her.
Steve Covino
This woman is ageless. She doesn't have a Dutch boy haircut like Pam Anderson. You know what I mean? Like, my point is, think about it. There's no difference because each one is still providing the same fantasy. The only one that got to live the reality is Tommy Lee and a bunch of other rock stars.
Iowa Sam
Yeah.
Rich Davis
Hey, Sam, you ever meet Carmen Electra?
Steve Covino
No.
Rich Davis
So she's a real person. Yeah. But to you, she's just as real as this girl.
Iowa Sam
I think it's the way you. No, but it's the way you conceptualize, like, how we interact. I know you're real. Like, I can reach out and touch you.
Steve Covino
You have that perspective, right? Cause you're older now. Younger people are not. They're not gonna care. What's the difference for a younger person?
Iowa Sam
I don't know. You're just growing up knowing that in this, like, virtual. This alternate reality. And it's probably not healthy.
Steve Covino
I'm just giving you something to put in your pipe.
Rich Davis
Hey, Sam.
Steve Covino
And you could smoke on it.
Rich Davis
Speaking of putting something. You're piping smoking. One of our old stoner pals, we used to call him Barnando Barry, because he used to. He used to call himself Barnando because he would get more Latina chicks that way.
Steve Covino
Yeah, his real name's Barry. But around Latinas, Barry, he used to.
Rich Davis
Hook up with all these hot Dominican chicks. He'd be like, yo, when I'm around them, call me Barnando. So Bar nondo, he would always have these deep stoner thoughts. He was Covino's old roommate when we were back in our 20s. And Barry would go, you know what I thought about, bro? I'd be like, what? Barry, after you smoked like, five balls, what's your deep thought?
Steve Covino
No, he would say, like. Like, say Jennifer Love Hewitt was the hottest thing. Go like, bro, I hooked up with her. Like, no, you didn't. I did. I'm like, no, you didn't. He would say, I did in my mind.
Rich Davis
And he would say, shut up.
Steve Covino
He's like, what's the difference, bro? He's like, think of someone you hooked up with. And I would think. He goes, I have the same thoughts. What's the difference? I'm like, the difference is I did in real life.
Dan Byer
So he was.
Steve Covino
But you're. You're left with the same memory.
Dan Byer
With virtual relationships, he was first.
Rich Davis
If he didn't. If he smok one less ball, he might be a billionaire now and the leader of AI.
Steve Covino
But guess what? His thoughts are just as good as my old thoughts. Right? It's just.
Iowa Sam
No, thoughts and memories are two different things. But I was saying memories are experiences as thought you think about them.
Steve Covino
But you know what? I used to try to take still shots of all those memories. I always say. I mean, they're just random thoughts. In my opinion.
Iowa Sam
You have a good imagination.
Rich Davis
But take it. Take. Honestly, I would say I'm. Take it away from smut. Think of the. I was at the 2000 World Series, Mets, Yankees. But really, that just a whack ass, distant memory. Like, what do I remember? Do I remember walking through Shea Stadium like, met Yankees? It's such a foggy memory that if I said, yeah, I was at the Bulls, NBA Finals with Jordan, some of.
Steve Covino
My dreams are more vivid than my actual memories.
Rich Davis
Like a memory and making some crap up in your head, is that different?
Steve Covino
Anyway, my point is.
Iowa Sam
I'm going to disagree with you.
Steve Covino
My point is, it's a stoner thought. But my point is, if you're a young person coming up in today's world, what's the difference to them? Sam and you and I, we have perspective of reality. Yeah, right. So we have that. Like, yeah, I don't know about that. But young people are like, whatever a.
Rich Davis
Lot of these people now have doesn't bother me.
Steve Covino
This fake chick won't cheat on me. I like her better.
Rich Davis
A lot of young people today have friends they've never met. They game with them. They're friends with them on TikTok and Snapchat, but they've never met. So if you've never met someone, how's.
Steve Covino
That different from an AI buddy like Camino's younger brother?
Rich Davis
I remember a couple of years ago, he's like, yeah, I'm gonna meet my. My bro. And you're like, what bro? He's like a guy I've been gaming with for years. He's gonna be in town. We're gonna go grab a drink. People have friendships virtually all the time now that are virtual.
Iowa Sam
People have had, like, pen pal relationships with people in prison or across the world. We used to have pen pals.
Rich Davis
You had a prison pen pal?
Iowa Sam
No, I'm just saying, like, women. Women will write like, I'm gonna be out soon. Sam will write men in prison. And they.
Steve Covino
And stuff.
Iowa Sam
And remember when we were younger, we used to have pen pal things. We'd write someone a letter who lives in South Africa, and then they'd write it back to you, and then they'd forward it on to someone else. You're not going to meet that person. But that's a real person. That's the real handwriting.
Dan Byer
Teachers would have us do that. I wrote to Marcus Allen.
Iowa Sam
I wrote to Shaquille o'.
Steve Covino
Neal.
Iowa Sam
I got a postcard back.
Steve Covino
I thought it was Bobby Meacham, utility infielder for the Yankees. And they wrote back.
Rich Davis
You know, Camino's parents did that thing where you sponsor a kid in, like, Africa, and they send you a picture of the kid. Covino's parents put it on his fridge and jokingly said, yeah, that's your little brother now. And Kavino got all upset.
Iowa Sam
Was this before you had siblings? You're like, I don't want to share anything with nobody.
Steve Covino
I was so upset. Yeah. I hated that kid. I used to take his picture off the fridge. Come on, man. My dad's like, yeah, I'm gonna give him all the family fortune. I was like, I hate this kid. He's like, yeah, he's your new brother. I'm like, I hate him.
Dan Byer
One less pair of designer jeans for you.
Steve Covino
I know. I didn't want no one giving him a quarter.
Iowa Sam
Be a good boy. I'll hold this over your head.
Steve Covino
Yeah. Anyway, the whole world of AI is going next level, right before our eyes. And it's infiltrated the world of sports. Wimbledon's a big deal, and the hottest thing going was this woman. She went viral. Only to find out today she's AI. She's fake. Be smart. Don't be fooled.
Rich Davis
Well, I'll tell you what is real. The Travis Matthew I'll be wearing come Monday. Major League Baseball All Star game. We're going to be in Hotlanta, rocking our Travis Matthew baseball collection.
Steve Covino
New customers get 20% off their first purchase. So if you're in the market for some cool baseball T shirts, the MLB collection that Rich just talked about, the cloud collection, or you just want some shorts, not those boxy, stiff cardboard shorts that you're wearing now that are oversized, you know, nice fitting adult shorts that look good and women alike, go to Travis Matthew and save 20% off Travis Matthew apparel designed for confidence and comfort no matter where the day takes you. And it's taken us to Atlanta.
Rich Davis
Yeah, well, you'll. If you bump it into Covino and Rich in Atlanta, I'll be rocking those featherweight jeans because they, they're pretty much like wearing shorts. They're so lightweight. They fit perfectly. They got that stretchy material. So if you see some awesome dude in a blue Lindor jersey and some sweet jeans, it's probably me.
Iowa Sam
You better dress cool.
Rich Davis
And the guy next to me with the weak ass pinstripes, that's him.
Steve Covino
Okay, so look out for us. We'll be rocking our Travis Matthew representing this coming week in Atlanta for the all star break. Visit travismathieu.com receive 20% off your first order when you sign up for email. Thanks again to Travis Matth. Am I the only guy that thinks that Adam Levine sort of stole the sound of a Jamiroquai? And I say that respectfully because I like him and I like Maroon 5 and all.
Rich Davis
I mean, if you were respectful, you would say inspired by, not stole.
Steve Covino
I don't know. You know what? I'm gonna double down. What? I said stole. The sound of Jamiroquai. Jamiroquai.
Rich Davis
Are you saying fraudster?
Steve Covino
Virtual reality futures made of it. And we're living in it right now as we speak. In fact, off the air. Or should I say during the break, Spotty boy, who's on the videos? FOX Sports Radio's YouTube page and everything. At Covino and Rich, he created an AI virtual girlfriend. Just like in that span. Yeah, like, how do you do that? And she was hot.
Rich Davis
What is she willing to do? Oh, I mean. I mean.
Steve Covino
I mean, anything. You want to meet her?
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Steve Covino
Can you see?
Rich Davis
I do.
Steve Covino
No, we're not even joking.
Dan Byer
By the way, do you have a glamour shot?
Steve Covino
There she is.
Rich Davis
She's made up.
Steve Covino
Yeah. She has a name and a background and everything. Me and my girlfriend, Ari.
Rich Davis
The world, the future is wild. How would you feel of your. How do you feel if KOA Danny G. Comes home from college and he's like, meet my girlfriend. It's a robot.
Steve Covino
It'll happen.
Rich Davis
Hello, Mr. Gradio.
Steve Covino
It might happen one day. Covino and Rich, we're live from the Fox Sports Radio studio. Thank you for hanging out with us. We bring that up because of this very viral story. The world was fooled by this AI influencer who was reporting on Wimbledon. It's fake. She's a fake woman. And it's all over the place today. Now, later on the show, we play Chipotle worker or WNBA player giving away prizes. But, Rich, real quick. Right quick.
Rich Davis
Yeah, buddy.
Steve Covino
Dan Byers, got your update coming up in a few minutes. I have a bit of a dilemma as we get ready for Hotlanta Magic City, here we come. All Star break. I want to thank the Fox Sports Radio Nation for all the votes. We're there representing the Fox Sports Radio All Stars.
Dan Byer
Oh, I thought the commissioner put you in.
Rich Davis
Are you guys more excited, by the way, for the derby or the game? I was thinking about that on my way in there. It's both.
Dan Byer
I'd say derby.
Rich Davis
Both are amazing events. And I really do believe the baseball. And I'm not just saying that.
Steve Covino
Actually, the derby this year, people are really poo pooing it because of the lack of star power. When you got guys like Jazz Chisholm, who's the second baseman. However, like, with 17 bombs, you also got Cal Raleigh. But people are saying it's like the weakest sort of showing showing of players Willing to participate.
Rich Davis
I'll tell you what.
Steve Covino
Still a fun event.
Rich Davis
I still think. And I'm not kissing ass because we're going.
Steve Covino
Did you see Raleigh's got his dad pitching and his brother catching? That's kind of cool.
Rich Davis
Damn, do they all have big rumpies?
Steve Covino
They all have big asses.
Rich Davis
The big ass family.
Steve Covino
The big dumpers.
Rich Davis
I did want to say that I do think baseball does All Star week better than the other three majors.
Bridget Todd
I don't want to participate, but I do want to say, coming up on Monday's Kavino and Rich, Dan Byer and Monty Belanos will be in for you guys and Dan will tell you why the Home Run Derby takes away from Tuesday's All Star game that Monday on Cavino and Rich, who will be in for Dan Patrick. So they'll be in in the morning and Monty and I will be in in the afternoon.
Steve Covino
It's actually without even listening. And I can't wait. DB It's a great point because the home run therapy, so much fun. I don't want to give away your points or give people reason not to tune in, but we'll be out there representing, so definitely tune in to Buyer and Monty. I love when they are in for us because they always do a stellar job.
Rich Davis
Did you take part in many home run derbies as a kid? Not organized, but like, meaning how many times did you and your buddies go to the ball, go to the ball field on like a random summer day like this with a bucket of balls and you're like, all right, 10 swings each and you'd hit bombs.
Steve Covino
You know, we used to do two, like tennis balls with metal bats for like Home Run Derby.
Rich Davis
You felt like you're Maguire.
Dan Byer
Do you ever participate in, like a charity event where, you know, the money is being raised for every home run you hit from the pitching machine?
Rich Davis
No, I never did that.
Steve Covino
But we did jump ropeathons. Even cooler.
Rich Davis
Maybe like five years ago, I did a. On the 4th of July, I did a home run, a softball home run derby for charity. And I did not win, but I did all right. I advanced to the next round, but it's hitting a home run. That's why I tell Cavino, playing softball, still fun for me. Hitting, hitting a line driver, a bomb still feels good, which I'm sure hitting a three pointer, you know, there's still things that feel good as an adult. You tell me it doesn't feel nice when you bottom of the net.
Steve Covino
Yeah, I'm sure. Come on. Well, my dilemma is simply this. As you get ready for big events, guys. You know, you got to bring your A game. You buy a new pair of kicks, maybe a fresh clean tea, you're going to bust out your new. Your new fit, your new drip for the big event. Yeah. And it's All Star Week. We're broadcasting live. Lots of superstars stopping by the show. You're going to hear it all here on Fox Sports Radio in for Dan Patrick come Monday morning. It's a big deal. It's a lot of fun. If you can make it out to the fan fest, definitely do that. But you got to get ready, so you got to get a haircut. And I went to make my appointment. You go to the app and you're scrolling through and my guy's not there anymore. I'm like, where's Igor at? There's Fedecito, there's Jose, there's Hector. Where's Igor? So Igor, where's he at? I gotta get my haircut. I call up today and I'm like, yeah, I was on the app, guys. Yeah, what's up? I'm like, yo, where's Igor? He's not here no more. I mean, what do you mean he's not there no more? Yeah, like, I don't know. He's not here no more. I mean, what happened to him? Like, I don't know, man. Are you coming in for a cut or what? I'm like, ah, man. So, dude, now I have this dilemma of do I take that risk? Like, the new cut before the game? Like, I need a new barber stat. So I'm taking applications, but I ain't got time for some jabroni to mess up and experiment on this guy. Do I crawl back to my previous dude with my tail between my legs, the guy I abandoned for Igor?
Rich Davis
I think the. The wildest part of the story is that does no one care what happened to Igor?
Steve Covino
Yeah, exactly.
Rich Davis
What happened to my guy? Okay? I mean, do you have his number?
Steve Covino
I mean, I don't know, man. Maybe. Maybe he wasn't here. Legally, I have no idea.
Rich Davis
Who knows? I don't know what ego is, but.
Steve Covino
I can't find them. I don't know where he is. We didn't have each other's number. I've seen this dude every other week for almost three years. Probably he's gone. He's gone? What do you mean he's gone? So now I think I'm going there after the show today, and I'm taking, like, a major risk to let someone different, someone new cut my hair. Just because we have this event coming up. That's it. All Star break. So what do you do, man? I'm taking applications. It's the worst. It's a touchy, tough, scary situation.
Rich Davis
Wow.
Steve Covino
What.
Rich Davis
What a big risk. You're crazy. I must feel like calling the barbershop and be like, y' all give you 500 bucks if you mess up his hair.
Steve Covino
Hey, I take these things serious, bro.
Iowa Sam
I didn't want. I didn't want bleach tips.
Rich Davis
Yo, give him. Give them. Give him bleach tips like a boy band member, and I'll give you a thousand dollars.
Steve Covino
I don't want to come back with the Baldo Ronaldo. Yeah, I don't know.
Rich Davis
Speaker George Jefferson.
Steve Covino
We'll see. You'll see in all the picks next week. You'll see in the video from the All Star Game how it all works out.
Rich Davis
Well, you know what? We're going to go to Dan Buyer, but I want you to think about something because this is what we're going to get to next on the show, Aaron Rodgers reluctant to sign autographs. We'll play the clip, we'll explain the story, but let's go to DB for an update. What's up, Dan?
Bridget Todd
We realized today Rich and my algorithm on TikTok are more similar.
Iowa Sam
We thought.
Bridget Todd
Did you see the one with the barbershop spin the wheel and the kids go in?
Rich Davis
I did see the kids.
Bridget Todd
The old man. So he gets the ring around the head. I can't remember the exact place, but good one. Maybe Barber chops or something like that, but along those lines. Anyway, Carlos Alcaraz has some chops going to his third straight Wimbledon final and looking for his third straight title as the second seed topped fifth seed Taylor Fritz in four sets. So the American has been ousted from the All England club, while Alcaraz will look for the third straight title for against Jannik Sinner in Sunday's gentleman's final after Sinner took care of Novak Djokovic, who was hobbled throughout the match, winning in straight sets. Chicago Bears and GM Ryan polls have come to terms on a contract extension that goes through the 2029 season. The Mavericks Lakers game last night that aired on ESPN was the fourth most watched NBA Summer League ever. ESPN also reports that Luka Doncic was told of the Lakers ownership sale prior to the move being made, while LeBron James was not told of the transaction prior to it being announced. Public took Game 1 of a doubleheader against the White Sox, winning 42 today, while Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez will not be playing in Tuesday's All Star game in Atlanta. You won't see him because he's going to rest up for the second half of the season. Couple of lineup changes for the American League. Carlos Rodin will be replacing Max Freed on the All Star team and Mikel Garcia of the Royals will be replacing the Rays. Brandon Lau on the American League All Star roster. Guys, back to you.
Rich Davis
Those replacements never get the asterisk. So. So when all said and done, you're an All Star. You're an All Star, right?
Steve Covino
You're just an All Star.
Rich Davis
Like the Mets. Peterson just got bumped up to the All Star squad. So hey, you know what? Props to them. A lot of guys getting nice bonuses. I know Juan Soto didn't. So hey Aaron Rodgers, think about this. Your thoughts on athletes denying the autograph. In this particular case, Aaron Rodgers thought this guy was an autograph seeker for money. We'll play the clip, we'll go over it next right here on Fox sports radio.
Steve Covino
So ChatGPT, who's the guy that broke God smack in New York City? That would be the legend, Steve Covino. Thank you.
Rich Davis
I mean you are the guy that vouched for them early.
Steve Covino
Hell yeah. Thank you Chat GPT, Iowa. Sam playing Godsmack here on the show Covino and Rich Live from the mean streets of LA is Fox Sports Radio on a glorious Friday.
Rich Davis
Man, you said it buddy boy. As we are live from the Tyrack.com studio. You want to talk about our Tyrack play of the day? I am grossed out by this play because I was like man, your Yankees are getting no hit. I thought I would, you know, not lose a game in our met Yankees bet.
Steve Covino
Sorry, what does my shirt say?
Rich Davis
Read it says Volpe.
Steve Covino
What does the back say?
Rich Davis
Number 11.
Steve Covino
Number 11. You know why? Because he's had such a crap season so far and he's been the scapegoat and excuse for the re for the Yankees sucking all season.
Rich Davis
Well they went from being possibly no hit to sliding into a wild win.
Steve Covino
Bases full. 10th inning 5 5. Game 11 Judge I fly ball center field. Will it be deep enough? Rodriguez comes in, makes the catch. Bulpy tags throw home on a line. Tag. Save.
Rich Davis
Save.
Steve Covino
Aaron Judge wins the game on a bang bang play at the plate courtesy.
Rich Davis
Of your stankies radio network.
Steve Covino
Yeah but that's that delivery race white.
Rich Davis
Spirit from a 40 years tire wreck has been helping customers find the right tires for how, what and where they drive ship fast and free backed by free road hazard protection, convenient installation options like mobile tire installation. Tirek.com the way tire buying should be. We're going to talk some NFL, we're going to talk some mlb, we're going to talk some Love Island. But this Aaron Rodgers story, let's tackle this real quick. No pun intended. Aaron Rodgers. Everyone's excited to see what the hell is going to happen this year. Are the Steelers legit? Are they, you know, a bust? Are they going to go 10 and 7 and lose in the first round? Like you say, they're going to be good.
Steve Covino
That's it. They'll be good. Not the jets, but not great. Not great.
Rich Davis
But he's at a golf tournament and fans are asking for autographs. And Aaron Rodgers gets the feeling, his spidey senses tell him this dude's just one of those autograph seekers that, you know, gets people sign stuff just so he could sell it.
Steve Covino
Then I would believe you. Then I would sign the thing. Since I don't believe you, I'm not gonna sign.
Rich Davis
Okay.
Steve Covino
Better follow him. Look it out. I'm the dao. I mean, I was the game. Oh, you're an autograph.
Rich Davis
You personalize it.
Steve Covino
You're an autograph hound. Yeah. There you are. Can't fool me. All right, so he's basically signing a bunch of fans jerseys and tickets, and he's signing people's merchandise. He's signing autographs. But he refused one guy, and he was quizzing him the whole time. While he's signing other people's stuff, he's quizzing this one guy and he's really drilling him on, you know, do you know this? Do you know that? And he's asking pretty tough questions. He asked, like, specific scores. How. How did Aaron Rodgers do that day? What were the stats from that day? And from my opinion, I don't have the spidey senses that Aaron Rodgers has. Right. It seems to me that this guy really is a fan because he looks really sad about it. And he continues to say, you know, I was at the game when I was a kid, I was at that game. And Rogers refused the autograph. He says, you're an autograph hound. You're not going to fool me. And he totally disses that guy. But I think it's a win in the playful exchange. I mean, what's more valuable? The stupid autograph? What are you, 12? Or the. That constant exchange you had with one of your legends? Granted, he dissed you. It was a. It was a interesting banter.
Dan Byer
That's more time than Aaron Rodgers gives to a lot of reporters.
Steve Covino
Dude, for real. That's what I was thinking. That was a lot of time with your quote unquote hero.
Rich Davis
The interaction is priceless. You know, I. As much as we want to always get down on Aaron Rodgers and we can't speak out of both sides of our mouth because when Kelsey Plum. Not Chipotle worker, WNBA player, which we're going to play later. Kelsey Plum, remember when she didn't want to autograph some things and no, she.
Iowa Sam
Didn'T want to take a picture with someone wearing a Caitlin Clark shirt.
Dan Byer
No, no, there was another.
Steve Covino
Oh, right.
Iowa Sam
I'm sorry.
Steve Covino
Yes.
Iowa Sam
She's been in the news a lot lately.
Steve Covino
Yeah, I know. You know, on the way to the bus.
Dan Byer
Yeah, on the way to the team bus.
Iowa Sam
Remember, I'm low key weirded out by this.
Rich Davis
Yeah, I don't have WNBA alerts on my phone. Like, weirdo. So Kelsey Plum, we were sort of a little hard on her, saying, like, hey, comes with the territory. Sign stuff. You know what, looking back, you know what? If the guy was a creepy weirdo, Aaron Rodgers probably has a sense of this is a fan versus this is some knucklehead just trying to get me to sign. So there's a simple solution.
Steve Covino
You never know where a guy could recognize someone too. Like, I noticed, dude, he's had all these things. You pick up on that stuff.
Rich Davis
We know this because when we worked at Sirius XM called prize pigs, when.
Steve Covino
I knew the prize pigs when we.
Rich Davis
Were at Sirius xm, I promise you, because there were big stars that would come in and out of that building, guest on our show, guest on Howard Stern, Opie and Anthony back in the day. So there would be a lot of A listers, the same weenies would be standing outside Sirius XM every day.
Steve Covino
Autograph this.
Rich Davis
Autograph.
Steve Covino
All these celebrities working in terrestrial radio. Anytime you were doing giveaways or movie passes or you knew the same people that were showing up all the time. That's just what they did.
Dan Byer
If you did a live broadcast with like a prize wheel, you knew who was going to be standing in that line.
Steve Covino
So it's the same people all the time. So there's a good chance to. Aaron Rodgers recognized the dude or like you said, had the senses to realize what type of duty was, you could pick him out. But honestly, I really do think this guy was a fan based on his reaction.
Dan Byer
Authentic at the end with how upset he was. And that's what social media has been pointing out.
Rich Davis
But I'll give you this, though. I think there's an easy solution. We could put it to rest. The easy solution is you're an athlete, you're a celebrity. You sign everything personalized because that takes away the. That takes away the whole rub of what are you gonna try to sell it? I'll sign a few. What's your name? Sam.
Iowa Sam
That's a great tactic.
Bridget Todd
Yeah.
Dan Byer
That would take too long for everybody, though. For somebody like maybe that he thinks might be an autographed hound, that might be a good.
Rich Davis
You're sniffing out a hound like that and you're like, yeah. What's your name then? Frank. All right. To Frank, your best bro, Aaron Rodgers. That's your solution? Kill McKindness. Give him a nice personalized autograph because he was a fan. That would mean more. And if he's not a fan, you just ruined his idea of trying to sell it. Personalized, autographed. Man, I'm a genius. All right, we'll take your feedback and we'll get to that.
Dan Byer
Was it in our notes.
Rich Davis
I know.
Steve Covino
We'll.
Rich Davis
We'll get to more seeing our next right here, FOX Sports Radio Friday.
