Hey, it's Covino and Rich and last baseball postseason, you might have noticed a new logo on the batting helmets, that red ostrich and the word Strauss. They made history as the first brand ever on a professional baseball helmet during the postseason. Pretty big deal and immediately caught my eye. Check them out. Strauss has been family owned and run since 1948, and they've built one of the most trusted names in workwear across the globe. Their pants aren't just clothing, they're designed like tools you could wear. We're talking materials up to five times stronger in standard cotton, advanced pocket systems that keep everything right where you need it, and comfort that never quits no matter how hard you push.
Rich Davis
And their boots built tough, built to last, and built to actually look good while doing it. Jackets, shirts and overalls, it's all the same formula. Durability, comfort, performance in every stitch. Strauss isn't just workwear, it's gear engineered to perform with durability you can rely on to get you through any job from grit to glory. I found out what Scatter Boo said when he stuck his head in the tent to dart. He held up six fingers. How many fingers am I holding up?
Rich Davis
Six.
Danny G
How about now?
Rich Davis
Seven. And then you were like six. Then they bumped heads.
Danny G
Yeah. And then they. And then they got fine. Yeah, that's the story. You heard it here on Fox Sports Radio. Cavino and Rich live from the Fox Sports Radio studio. Rich Davis
So I got to ask. I'm wearing a 49ers T shirt today, but it's one I got at one of their losing Super Bowls. Would you still wear this or is it like bad juju?
Danny G
Get out of here.
Steve Covino
Of course you wear it.
Rich Davis
Yeah, it's a losing. It's a losing effort.
Danny G
Dude, when I see the goofy T shirts you wear and you're questioning that one, I think you wear that one more often. Yes, wear it. Lean into it. You wear Ben Savage T shirts. I'm not even kidding.
Rich Davis
I do.
Danny G
It's the second time I brought him up, but he does.
Rich Davis
Maybe you're the one that loves Ben Savage.
Danny G
No, because you do. I know you love that guy. I mean, nothing against boy meets world. Anyway, remember, if you're listening to our show on the iHeartRadio app, tell your friends about it. Rich Davis
And a quick thought about Shohei. But say hi to James in Virginia. What's up James?
Danny G
James, we were talking solo missions a la Joey Flacco, Eaton Lonely Burgers.
Rich Davis
He's at the stage of life where sitting alone on a road trip at the bar.
Danny G
That's good.
Rich Davis
You know when you especially if listen, this guy's played in the NFL for a long ass time, he's got kids, he's got responsibilities. So those moments of alone time and again I always picture sitting at the hotel bar having a burger and a drink is the best example. He embraces it. Others don't like doing solo missions, dude.
Steve Covino
When I'm cruising around taking my call. Gentlemen.
Danny G
Hey buddy. What's up James?
Steve Covino
Happy Friday guys.
Danny G
Oh, hell yeah.
Steve Covino
The commanders, big time, all the time, every time, man. And no, I definitely feel chased, man. When I was a guy in my 20s, I definitely had to be with the fellas, man. It was non stop. But as a 42 year old man today, I truly believe, man, that happiness starts from within, man. And you have to love yourself before you can love anybody else, before you can share all that love. And sometimes you have to be by yourself to really learn what you like in life, man. So taking time to be alone is never a bad thing.
Danny G
Dude, that was a great call and I really related to wise words. No, no, for real. Because I think we all felt like Jamar Chase and the same way James did when we were younger and we evolved into like. Nah man, alone time is great time.
Rich Davis
But I think it's a lot Of a lot of, you know, feeling comfortable with yourself. Just the difference between someone. Jamar Chase at Joey Flacco's age, that is the age where you start to become more comfortable with who you are. And Joey Flacco is like, dude, I've been here, done that. I'm the man.
Danny G
Well, I saw. What's his name? Noah. Trevor Noah was on some podcast talking about how men do have a problem with. It's always the third thing. It's like, me, you, and what are we doing? Me, you, and what? Me, you, and steak. Me, you, and burgers. Me, you. In the game, buddies don't just hang out and just sit there and chill anymore, you know, so we always feel like we need to be doing something with our friends.
Rich Davis
That's a good point. I usually think that guy's terrible.
Danny G
Yeah, no, I don't. I don't. I'm not a big fan of Trevor.
Rich Davis
No, it was like, my least favorite.
Danny G
He called it, like the. The third something or whatever. It's always, yo, me, Danny, and let's go to Dave and Buster's. Me, you, and let's go watch the game. Me, you, and like, you don't always have to do something. And I think that's the thing with. With guys. And that's why we cherish our alone time, too, because we could actually just chill and relax every once in a while. But it would be nice if you could have your buddies around and just chill and not have to drink, not have to put on a show, you know, not really have to force the conversation. You just sit there. You know, I was pretty good with that with my hometown buddies. But, you know, we're out here in LA and you always do feel like you need that third thing.
Spotty
In Virginia's call there. It was a good point, because we all have that friend or multiple friends who can't be alone. They always rebound right to another relationship.
Steve Covino
Right away or need that third thing.
Danny G
My point is you don't. Sometimes you could just. You could still be with friends. It's just that pressure of having to entertain or do something, to tell jokes that. That doesn't always have to be there. And women, they say, and Trevor Noah said this too, women are better at that than we are because they could just sit there and talk and talk things out and actually speak from the heart and from the mind, and we always have to have a game on or something, and that's fine, too. But that's why I think we enjoy our alone time.
Steve Covino
I think a good friend is someone who comes over. You go over to their place and you don't have to entertain them, they don't have to entertain you.
Danny G
Yes, but how often does that happen? Sam?
Steve Covino
Those are your really good friends. You feel like there's no tension in the air. You can just sit there and. With complete silence if you want.
Danny G
In complete silence, you know, and if there's a lull in the conversation, so be it.
Steve Covino
You know, get up and go get more peanuts.
Danny G
That's it. Yeah.
Spotty
Sounds uncomfortable.
Danny G
No, but I think that's why we do cherish our alone time, because when we are with our buddies, you know, a lot of times it's. It's. Well, what are we doing to keep it fun, to entertain to, you know, what's that third thing that's keeping us entertained and occupied?
Rich Davis
Jerry in Phoenix. What's up, Jerry?
Danny G
Hey, buddy.
Steve Covino
Hey, guys. Love your show. Love your show.
Danny G
Thanks, Davis.
Rich Davis
Fellow.
Steve Covino
Fellow 49er fan here. Yeah. So when I was 19 years old, 1987, I moved up to San Francisco, had my own place on my. All by myself. Didn't have a television for about the first year I lived there. So watching my San Francisco Giants make the playoffs for the first time in.
Rich Davis
My life, I used to walk down.
Steve Covino
To Lefty o' Tools in downtown San.
Rich Davis
Francisco and watch the game there, eating.
Steve Covino
My burger and drinking my soda, because I wasn't even old enough to drink alcohol at the time. But I really enjoyed that and look back at that memory pretty fondly.
Danny G
Yeah, that's really cool.
Rich Davis
And I think to wrap it up, I think it depends on where you're at in life.
Danny G
And you hear that in those two clips. That's why we played them. Is that contrast that we all experience that at some point in our life?
Rich Davis
You were like, nah, I got to be with all the boys to, no, I'm cool being alone. I think that's. That's the mark of a good friendship. Like you said, when you could just really do nothing with someone, you're like, all right, then that's a pal. Totally. All right, we're going to get to big TV game in a second. But one thought about Chohei. As we enter game one of the World Series tonight, they just showed a little clip on TV of like, you know, his last game. Six innings, 10 strikeouts, three home runs, one out of Dodger Stadium. Does he have a. In your mind, Danny, A mulligan of sorts for the first game or so if he. If he has an O for tonight or has a rough start, do we. How long is he Able to live off of. Yeah, but like a week ago, I had the greatest game in the history of baseball.
Spotty
Well, he has no mulligan. With our very own Rob Parker.
Steve Covino
No show.
Danny G
Oh, Tawny.
Spotty
Yeah, I think, Rich, that, that people are going to understand that he can get into the bad habit of taking those tight inside pitches. And then the pitcher, if they're smart, they go outside and you see him reach.
Rich Davis
He reaches and has an awkward outside swing.
Spotty
Exactly. And that's what was going on when he was cold.
Danny G
But no one, he could explode at any moment. Like we were saying before he unleashed that three home run game, he was batting 150. Before that we, we said his presence was still there. So, you know, even if he has a bad game or two, Rich, his presence is still going to be a difference in the game.
Spotty
When he is patient at the plate doub, that's when you see him have his breakout games.
Rich Davis
And one last thought about the alone time. This is an interesting thing too. You see, as, you know, listen, our parents generation and grandparents generation. You know what the big difference is? A lot of your parents and grandparents got married when they were like 20ish or so. Like 23, 22, 24. They went straight from like, honestly like school or the military or whatever they did to like married. A lot of our friends meet the right woman or the right dude when they're 30, 35, 40 something.
Danny G
Yeah, we've gotten to know ourselves.
Rich Davis
You spend a lot of alone time, which is why I think sometimes it's hard to break your habits of like, no, I need that alone time. Because if you're like, picture one of your single buds. If you have a single friend around 40, you can't just link up with someone and live a cohabiting lifestyle when you're really just been living on your own for a while.
Danny G
You saw that on Love is Blind with that, that one girl, that successful woman who was like, maybe, maybe I'm not cut out for this because she's been on her own and successful.
Spotty
Meg with Jordan.
Rich Davis
Yeah, Sparkle Meg. Not to spoil Love is Blind for you, but her whole deal was she's like a good looking hotshot woman that made a ton of money. And she's the type, as he said, that could play pickleball on a Wednesday morning. And he's like, yeah, I gotta work and bring my kid to school.
Spotty
You know, she's like, boring.
Rich Davis
Yeah, Honestly, think about it. You see, you see moms out here. Calabasas moms. Which is where like the Kardashians Lives and stuff. They're all like doing things at like 10, 11 in the morning any given day. Like, does anyone work?
Danny G
That's definitely an L. A right sort of thing. Yeah. You notice that when you're here long enough.
Steve Covino
What does everyone do?
Danny G
All right, so we have a few things that we have to get to this hour. Brainwave the game that's sweeping the nation.
Rich Davis
Brain waves.
Danny G
Game one of the world Series and brain waves.
Steve Covino
Brain waves.
Danny G
Not.
Steve Covino
Not waves.
Danny G
Yeah. There's no waves. Just one brain waves. We all have the same brain wave. Jinx. That's how you win a prize. We'll tell you when to call in for that. Waves 87799 on Fox. Plus weekend Hobnob and what you need to watch. But Rich is going to let you know right now as far as foosball.
Steve Covino
Oh, man.
Danny G
By the way, last night, last night, did you sort of tune out because the Chargers sort of had their way.
Rich Davis
Listen, last night, truth be told, I had my kids practice. I played some softball. I was, I was out and about. I was watching the game on and off of my phone and I'm like, this game stinks. I felt bad.
Danny G
It was kind of weird.
Rich Davis
I felt bad for a boss. Not that I'm kissing ass, but he's a Vikings fan and he went there, I saw with his kid and stuff. So it's like just a rough, a rough go for the Vikings.
Spotty
But the biggest reason why the Chargers were able to get two of their best O linemen back, especially Joe Alt. And that just shows you how important it is in the NFL to have your, your best foot forward there on your line. No digging because Herbert was running for his life prior to those two injured players returning.
Rich Davis
I know people don't care about others fantasy teams, but Dan by, you're the fantasy guy. You got the show Every weekend. I pick up Jordan Mason this week, random way. I'm like, yeah, let me add him to my roster. Four carries, three yards.
Dan Byers
Like that is the Aaron Jones return was not helpful and that was not good at all.
Rich Davis
I was like, damn. And by the way, Aaron Jones, four carries, 15 yards.
Dan Byers
Yes, yes, it was rough. Even though I'm a Rich Davis guy, Cavino knows that I have the I want your flex podcast. My Sunday show is the NFL late window. So Rich. I'm a rich Davis guy. But there isn't a fantasy show on the weekend. You know what's great knows about it though.
Danny G
A lot of people love to talk. Oh, you work at Fox Sports and they start talking fantasy stuff with Me?
Dan Byers
Yes.
Danny G
Not my expertise, so. But I feel cool knowing that I have your show in my back pocket. Like you like fantasy.
Dan Byers
Here's what you need.
Rich Davis
I direct people to dance, too.
Danny G
No, no.
Dan Byers
Look at this guy. It's true.
Danny G
Like, you got. You know where I get my info from? I want Flex podcast, Dan Byers. Great. You gotta check that out.
Dan Byers
I will also say having a one armed Carson Wentz did not help Minnesota last night. No, that was painful to watch. I can't imagine what he was going through.
Rich Davis
So beat up. Yeah, just. Just not a really eventful game. But we've had some good ones on Thursday, so you're due for a stinker here or there. All right. But you know what we got to do now? We got to go over the big TV game of the week. Let's go football.
Danny G
You should see my set up. I got an extra tv.
Rich Davis
The game that I will have.
Steve Covino
We should call it Rich's Big TV.
Danny G
Game of the Week.
Steve Covino
It's Rich's Big TV Game of the Week.
Rich Davis
Well, well, well.
Danny G
Brought to you by tcl.
Rich Davis
We meet again, you silly jabronis. So every week we decide if you do what I do, which is roll out a second TV. You got four games on one, but there's that TV that gets full screen. The 75 or 85 inch TV. The big one that gets the game.
Danny G
Yeah, the game.
Rich Davis
Because you got the other TV. Maybe you break out a couple smaller TVs and. Oh, let me keep an eye on this one. I'll keep an eye on this one. But what gets the volume? What gets the big screen? That's what we decide every Friday. Right for you. Now, sometimes it's not much to really choose from. Like, I think the early.
Danny G
It's like when you have family over Rich. Like your least important family member gets, like the cot or the couch, but your parents.
Rich Davis
With me, we have an air mattress you can put in the garage.
Danny G
Yeah, the person you like least gets the air mattress. And you give them, like, a paper towel themselves.
Rich Davis
I'm not sleeping up in the loft.
Steve Covino
That's where Fuller sleeps. I'm not gonna sleep on the Hide.
Danny G
A bed with Fuller. He wants to be your parents or whoever you did, you little jerk. You give them the good accommodations.
Rich Davis
Like if you have a set of eight plates, but you have nine people over, who gets the, like, the weird extra plate?
Danny G
Yeah, that guy. So the best game gets the big tv. That's what we're trying to say here. The tcl.
Rich Davis
Let's zip through the early games because There's a lot of games with, let's be honest, very little significance right now because of, you know, one of the teams may stink or it's lopsided like Bengals are hosting the Jets. I mean, Bengals are six and a half point favorites. The jets are.07. Unless you are a masochist and you want to just see how bad the jets could be. That, that, that gets a little. You get a little look, see, maybe you got a fantasy involvement in that game. But Jets, Bengals? No, Bears, Ravens is interesting because if you got Lamar back in action, that that team is going to try to see if they could pull off some magical happenings where 1 in 5. Could a 1 in 5 team somehow.
Danny G
Hold on. Turn it around. Is it Aaron starting? I know he's on the field, but he's definitely starting.
Dan Byers
Questionable. He practiced fully today, so it's not a sure deal, but signs are pointing towards a possible start.
Danny G
I'll be tuning in definitely to see what's doing there with that.
Rich Davis
I would imagine DB the sentiment in Vegas is leaning that way because it's seven and a half, which means it's only seven and a half because there's the assumption that they're going to try to give it a go.
Spotty
Right?
Steve Covino
Correct.
Dan Byers
Yes, absolutely.
Rich Davis
And, and the Bears are a good team, so I think that should be interesting because a 4 and 2 Bears team that's really trying to keep up in that division. I may change my mind here.
Danny G
And I know, bro, what about your 49ers, Texans? Aren't the Texans favored in that game?
Rich Davis
How and why the Texans are two and a half point favorites. And I think because it's at home. DB said it best the other day. If you break down 49ers offense, 49ers defense, Texans offense, Texans defense. Of those four, what is the strongest? And you might say the Texans defense against a guy like Mac Jones that doesn't have the mobility of a Brock Purdy, where they may just close that pocket on Mac Jones quicker.
Danny G
I feel like, what does Vegas know? Is he really the defense there?
Rich Davis
There's a part of me that just being a homer is like, yo, I might want to hit the money line hard on the Niners. I don't know.
Danny G
It's your big TV game of the week and I know you're leaning 49ers anyway.
Rich Davis
I mean, I'm going to lead Niners just because I'm a Niners fan, but.
Danny G
That'S a simple intrigue rich of. And I'm sorry to interrupt, but seriously, the Intrigue of how are the Texans favored?
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Danny G
And thinking that the 49ers should win this game.
Rich Davis
I think there's a few games that.
Danny G
Makes me want to tune in.
Rich Davis
There's a few games to keep your eye on that I like like for instance Giants and these young dudes that are just really bringing the fun against the Eagles in Philadelphia and we know the New York Philadelphia rivalries and battles. So that's a game to keep an eye on early on. So that does a good thing. The big one. But I'll definitely be watching that one. I'll definitely be watching Niners, Texans because I'm a Niners guy. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on whether or not the Bills could finally get it together against the Panthers who have won three in a row right there. They're looking good but I think the big TV game of the week and it doesn't go to the Browns Patriots. I really do think the return of Lamar Jackson against Caleb Williams objectively Covino should be your big TV game of the week.
Steve Covino
I'm surprised for me I'll probably have.
Rich Davis
The Niners on but if I'm being real, I'm keeping it real. I think the game everyone should be watching is whether or not the Bears could go on the road four and two against a desperate yet Lamar Jackson. Ravens team that really needs to win.
Steve Covino
Ravens are chopped.
Danny G
Yeah.
Steve Covino
One in five.
Danny G
What are they going to do seem fire right now the Bears seem valid. You know they need right now they.
Rich Davis
Need to go 9 and 2 the rest of the way.
Steve Covino
That ain't happening.
Rich Davis
9 and 227 know how.
Danny G
Yeah the Ravens might be ass. We already said that Ravens might be ass.
Rich Davis
Good sentiment Covino. Later games Bucks and Saints.
Danny G
By the way I'm really surprised by the way that you picked that game over Giants, Eagles or even the 49ers. Houston.
Rich Davis
I just. I don't know the return of Lamar. We haven't really seen him so I think it's. It's going to be cool to see one of the most premier electric players back in action.
Steve Covino
All right.
Rich Davis
All right. Later games sort of stink. Bucks and Saints no thanks. Titans call Daniel Jones gonna be 7:1 which is wild because I can't imagine the the Titans winning. They're favored by 14 and a half. I think the game to watch the completely not sure their record defines who they are. The fact that the Cowboys Danny G. Are three three and one. Isn't that just so perfect Is aren't in your mind. Don't you feel like the Pat, the Cowboys are just good, like, average, three three and one. That, to me, just makes sense. At the Broncos. So Cowboys, Broncos gets the big TV later in the day. But all eyes Sunday night, your primetime game is where everyone's gonna be really pumped up. Aaron Rodgers playing against the Packers. If he wins, he beats all 32 teams in the NFL. That alone, you could say revenge game. You could say it's not a revenge game. You could say The packers are 41 1, looking to be 51 and 1. But the Steelers have an opportunity to just keep, you know, controlling the AFC North. That's such a fun game. And right now, Green Bay's favored by two and a half in Pittsburgh.
Danny G
And wait, hold up. If he beats his former team, the Green Bay packers, his old team, he's the first guy to beat every team. Yeah, the only guy to do that.
Rich Davis
Only guy in NFL history to be 30.
Danny G
Fence about watching it. I mean, that's the late game anyway, that gets to big TV.
Rich Davis
So there you have it. TCL's big TV games. What is. Of all the games, though, what is the one? Is it really packers sealers for you?
Steve Covino
Yeah, that's.
Rich Davis
That's like your.
Danny G
That's a game for sure. That's definitely a great game. All right, so enjoy it. Get ready and enjoy and watch on your tcl. That's Rich's big TV game of the week. And thanks again to tcl. And now we got Brainwave. Got to get you ready for that. So if you wanted. You want to win a prize? You want to win one of our Turbo balls.

Hey, it's Covino and Rich and last baseball postseason, you might have noticed a new logo on the batting helmet, that red ostrich and the word Strauss. They made history as the first brand ever on a professional baseball helmet during the postseason. Pretty big deal and immediately caught my eye. Check them out. Strauss has been family owned and run since 1948, and they've built one of the most trusted names in workwear across the globe. Their pants aren't just clothing. They're designed like tools you could wear. We're talking materials up to five times stronger in standard cotton, advanced pocket systems that keep everything right where you need it, and comfort that never quits no matter how hard you push.
Rich Davis
And their boots built tough, built last and built to actually look good while doing it. Jacket, shirts and overalls it's all the same formula. Durability, comfort, performance in every stitch. Strauss isn't just workwear, it's gear engineered to perform with durability you can rely on to get you through any job from grit to glory. Action packed Friday Showgram Cavino Enriched live from the Fox Sports Radio studio for over 40 years, Tire Rack has been helping customers find the right tires for how, what and where they drive ship fast and free, backed by free road hazard protection with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation, tire rack.com like tire buying should be and because we still have a lot to get to. Let's get right into it. Let's introduce our host of Brain Wave, Danny G.
Steve Covino
Do Covino and Rich really share the same brain? Doris Day, Rich, Shannon, Johnny Rich.
Danny G
Joe DiMaggio.
Steve Covino
Is their crew not far behind?
Rich Davis
We're one.
Steve Covino
Welcome to Brain Wave. Try to make sense of the brain. It's easy. We drop fun sports, music, and entertainment questions. And if you match with enough of these bosas, you win. I love that. On the count of three, reveal Brain Wave. Ooh.
Dan Byers
One, two, three.
Rich Davis
It pays to match our brain.
Spotty
All right. Happy Friday.
Rich Davis
What up, Danny? And to you too, Daniel Gradio.
Spotty
The questions in this game are all subjective. You just need to try and match the brain of C and R and the crew. All right, we're gonna go to the studio lines right now, get our contestant, then I'll explain the game. Ray is in Tennessee. He was first through.
Rich Davis
Oh, Ray.
Spotty
What up, Ray? What do you do for a living there in Tennessee?
Steve Covino
I'm a supervisor for a company. Conveyor belts in company.
Danny G
Nice, man.
Spotty
Very cool.
Rich Davis
What did you do, Ray?
Spotty
Here's how the game works. I have five rounds ready to go. Our contestant, Ray, needs to win two of them to be the champ and walk away with a CNR nerf football. I'm going to ask a sports, music, or entertainment question and then give three debatable answers to choose from. The six of us in studio are going to write down our answers on dry erase boards for the YouTube channel. And, Ray, that's going to give you time to get your answer ready. On the count of three, the caller shouts out his answer, and then we go around the studio to reveal ours. All right, guys, our contestant must match four of us to win the round. So gotta bat 667. Or no matter the caller's answer, if all six of us in studio happen to match Ray, you automatically win that round.
Rich Davis
All right, here we go.
Spotty
Everybody ready with your dry erase boards?
Rich Davis
Let's go.
Spotty
Round one. Let's start with music. This week, which of these artists had the greatest one hit wonder song of the 90s?
Danny G
Oh, that's a good one.
Spotty
Wright said Fred with I'm too sexy.
Danny G
Soy too sexy.
Spotty
Parativ Gerardo with Rico Suave or Los Del Rio with Macarena?
Danny G
Yo, that's a good one, man.
Spotty
They all charted around the same body.
Danny G
So difficult.
Spotty
All right, everybody's writing their answers down. Let's see here.
Rich Davis
Okay.
Dan Byers
Okay.
Danny G
Got it.
Spotty
Locked in, everybody.
Steve Covino
Locked in. Locked in.
Spotty
Okay, Ray. On the count of three, we need your answer. One, two, three.
Steve Covino
Rico Suave.
Spotty
He says, gerardo, we're gonna start with Steve covino.
Danny G
Well, it's 10 o' clock and I'm two hours late.
Rich Davis
I never said it was a problem.
Danny G
But you kept insisting that I meet your parents.
Steve Covino
They're gonna love my appearance.
Danny G
Not only Rico Suave, but Taco Grande by Weird Al, One of my favorites.
Spotty
All right. Rich Davis.
Rich Davis
I couldn't believe it. I thought the answer was definitely Macarena.
Danny G
Oh, that's the point. You know what, Rich? Figures you'd say. Figures you would.
Rich Davis
Yeah, sorry.
Dan Byers
I like mesh. So I said. Right, said Fred.
Steve Covino
Oh, they're mesh shirts.
Danny G
It's a good one.
Steve Covino
It's a good one.
Spotty
That is good. But not Tennessee's answer. All right, Spotty.
Steve Covino
I locked in the Macarena as well. That was, that was. That had a chokehold on 1995 pop culture.
Spotty
Well, Ray, let me tell you, you. Yeah. Oh, mathematically, he's out of it.
Steve Covino
I also said Macarena.
Spotty
He would have lost anyway. I said Gerardo, though. I also said, because it cut out a lane for Spanglish hip hop songs.
Danny G
It did, yeah.
Spotty
Gerardo was influential.
Rich Davis
That was a great question.
Steve Covino
But we had like. We had George W. Bush doing the Macarena. Like, that was like, don't forget international. I am in the Guinness Book of World Records because I was part of.
Dan Byers
The largest crowd to do the Macarena.
Danny G
At Yankee Stadium in 1996.
Rich Davis
Then that's on Spot's bio.
Danny G
That's on my bio. It is.
Spotty
All right, let's go to round two. We're gonna get to sports now. All right, who had the more epic walk off home run in the World Series? Kirby Puckett, Game 6, 1991. David Freese, Game 6, 2011. Or Freddie Freeman, Game 1, 2024. All right, everybody's writing down their answers. Yeah, it's a tough one.
Rich Davis
All right, so who had the more.
Spotty
Epic, more epic walk off home run in the World Series?
Rich Davis
Kirby Puckett, David Freese or Freddy?
Spotty
A lot of websites list him as 1, 2, 3. Want to see what you think? All right, Ray, I think we're all locked in. On the count of three, we need your answer. One, two, three.
Steve Covino
Freddie Freeman.
Spotty
Freddie Freeman, he says. All right, we're gonna go in reverse order this time. Samuel L. Johnson.
Steve Covino
Freddie Freeman.
Spotty
Wow, that's one. You know, I'm not gonna be a homer here. I. I'll forever remember him spiking his helmet through his legs before he gets to home plate. Freeze.
Steve Covino
Oh, wow.
Spotty
Yep. All right. To Spotty.
Steve Covino
I actually went with Freddy as well. I feel like it captured. It was like a double doozy because it sort of encapsulated Kirby as well.
Spotty
All right.
Dan Byers
To Dan Byer, I said, kirby Pucket. We'll see you tomorrow night.
Spotty
The Godfather. The Godfather of the walk up off. All right, Rich.
Rich Davis
Now, if you asked me what call, I would might have said, we will see you tomorrow night. Or when his son Joe Buck said, I will. We will see you tomorrow night. But I think last year. Freddy, baby. Oh, prisoner of the moment. Or not. But the whole. The whole vibe. And I love. Yeah, Freddie, me, Gibby, I love LA kicks in. So. Yeah.
Steve Covino
So Covino's answer will decide whether he gets the point or not, right?
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Danny G
Because we have three.
Steve Covino
We need four out of six.
Danny G
It haunts me till this day. And I'm pretty sure it was Gibby, meet Freddie. I think that's what he says. Did I say, freddie meet Gibby? Yeah, Gibby me, Freddy. And I say that only because it made me want to vomit.
Steve Covino
Oh.
Danny G
Because it was. It was such a big moment. Off to Nestor Cortez. Freddie Freeman. I hate saying it, but it gets you the win too, man.
Spotty
All right, Ray, you're halfway to a CNR Turbo Football. Let's go to round three. Entertainment. Okay, which of these movies would draw the largest US Box office numbers if it hit all theaters for a month long retro showing?
Rich Davis
Oh, that's a retro showing for a month. Okay.
Spotty
Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Oh, Airplane or Major League?
Danny G
Oh, I got it.
Spotty
Their popcorn ratings all around the same, by the way.
Danny G
Oh, really? Okay. Yeah, got it. I'm locked in.
Spotty
Everybody locked in.
Danny G
Yeah, I'm locked in.
Steve Covino
I'm locked in.
Spotty
Okay, and we're gonna start with Covino on this one. Right after we get Ray's answer. On the count of three. One, two, three.
Steve Covino
Major League. Sorry, guys.
Spotty
Major league. He said. Okay.
Danny G
Covina save Ferris. He's a righteous dude. Ferris Bueller.
Spotty
One strike. All right, Rich.
Rich Davis
Sorry, man. I'm. Wait, I think I got it. I wrote Walker Bueller. Is that not. No, Ferris Bueller. Major league's my favorite, but I think this would do better. Mass appeal.
Steve Covino
Okay, but remember, we're two for two, so even if he. Right.
Spotty
Yeah.
Steve Covino
If we all have the same answer, he gets the point.
Spotty
Yeah, that's true, DB So I never.
Dan Byers
Forget you guys did a movie thing one time, and I'm not a movie guy. Hey, I drafted Ferris Bueller and you guys ridiculed me.
Steve Covino
You're like, oh, awful pick. Awful pic.
Danny G
I remember that was your favorite move.
Dan Byers
Yes. So then I thought to myself, you know what? We're trying to give away a prize here. So while I would probably say Ferris Bueller, what's our contestant going to think? I said major league.
Rich Davis
Now.
Danny G
You see? Major league.
Spotty
He can't win now, unfortunately, Spotty, let's see what you had for fun.
Danny G
I mean, I went with Bueller as well.
Steve Covino
I also went Bueller.
Rich Davis
You feel Dan. This is Dan's fault.
Danny G
Dan's fault.
Steve Covino
Dan's fault.
Spotty
It's the one guy who champions the movie.
Dan Byers
I was. But I matched our contestants.
Spotty
No, he's got to match you, though. Yeah. So I. I think next time just go with what you. You prefer.
Danny G
I respect that, though, Dan. I respect it.
Spotty
He was trying to set you up for a win there, Ray. All right, let's go to the next category. We'll go back to sports.
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Spotty
Which of these athletes would create the biggest buzz if interviewed by CNR on the air? Oh, LeBron James. Travis Kelce or Tiger Woods? Oh, come on.
Danny G
Wow, that's a good one.
Spotty
All right, everybody locked.
Rich Davis
Locked in.
Spotty
Okay, locked. Ray, on the count of three, needs your answer. One, two, three.
Steve Covino
Travis Kelsey.
Spotty
He says Kelsey Kelsey. All right. Okay, go in reverse order this time, Iowa. Sam.
Steve Covino
I said Tiger Woods. What?
Rich Davis
What?
Dan Byers
Look it.
Rich Davis
What?
Spotty
The other guys are kind of saturated over saturated, so I also said Tiger woods because I think that.
Danny G
What?
Spotty
Yeah, because we hear the other guys all the time in the media.
Dan Byers
Okay.
Spotty
All right, Spotty.
Steve Covino
I went with number six. I mean, 87. Travis Kelsey.
Danny G
Wow.
Steve Covino
All right, come on.
Rich Davis
You guys gotta know your audience.
Danny G
DB DB we know you're a big golf guy.
Dan Byers
I am. And that's why I went Travis Kelce. Tiger wouldn't say anything. Tiger wouldn't say anything.
Rich Davis
Yo, Travis Kelce.
Danny G
We've interviewed him before. We do it again.
Steve Covino
Travis Kelsey. We got a winner.
Danny G
And you did it. Yeah. Congratulations.
Steve Covino
He did it.
Rich Davis
If you.
Danny G
If you talk about generating buzz, not only with football fans, but the Swifties, every time we post a video and it's Travis Kelce related because of the. Yeah, it gets more traction than anything else.
Spotty
I know, but he's on his own podcast, though, and I feel like that's where he breaks his own news.
Danny G
So you win. Right?
Steve Covino
So me and Danny said Tiger Emerald said Travis Kelce, and Ray said Travis Kelce. He's a winner. Yeah, that's right.
Spotty
Ray, congratulations. We're gonna add you to our mailing list for CNNR Football. When the shipment comes in and thank you for playing the game today.
Rich Davis
Thanks, bud.
Steve Covino
Thank you.
Danny G
Hey, thank you, man.
Rich Davis
Have a good weekend, Ray.
Danny G
Danny G. They're all great questions with great answers. That's what makes it to see if we're all on the same brainwave.
Rich Davis
My takeaway is that damn buyers should have stuck by his gut with Ferris Bueller. And who knew that you, Danny G, and Kavita loved Gerardo?
Spotty
Yeah.
Rich Davis
Rico Suave.
Danny G
I mean, Macarena is, like the corniest song that ever was, but it was so big. It was big. So huge.
Rich Davis
No one does the Rico Suave at a wedding.
Danny G
I'm a big Rico Suave guy.
Rich Davis
I know. All right, well, let's go to DB Suave. Rico.
Dan Byers
What threw me off is I should have said Freeman on the last question. I go, I can't think for me. I got to think for our contestant. So that's why I went the other way. And we matched the last two, by the way. And I'm glad that he went home with the prize. All right, we'll see who comes home with the prize of a World Series title. Dodgers and Blue Jays start their best to seven Fall Classic tonight in Toronto. Coverage getting underway at the top of the hour on Fox. It's Blake Snell against Trey Savage. Boba Shetty batting fourth and playing second base for Toronto. He's been out since early September because of a PCL strain in his left knee, but he will play tonight for the Jays. The NFL find the New York Giants $200,000 for violating the league's concussion protocol and their Week 6 matchup with the Eagles. I love the background noise. Yeah. Shut off their mic. You know, like, I don't know what the deal is.
Danny G
What's the deal?
Steve Covino
What's the deal?
Rich Davis
Yeah, DB after your update. If I were you, I'd go.
Steve Covino
We were just arguing about Danny's question. Spotlights.
Danny G
Mike, would it be okay if I just screamed six, seven behind him while.
Steve Covino
He did the update? Six, six, seven, six, seven.
Dan Byers
The NFL find the Giants $200,000. Head coach Brian Dabel 150,000. And Giants running back Cam scatter.
Steve Covino
Boo.
Dan Byers
15 grand for violating the league's concussion protocol when Jackson Dart suffered his concussion on that Thursday night game against the Eagles a couple of weeks ago. Giants and Eagles play again this weekend. No. A.J. brown for Philadel. And how about some quarterbacking news? Aaron Glenn of the jets wouldn't tell us who's going to start against the Bengals, only to say Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner wouldn't play in that contest. In Cincinnati. Brock Purdy out for the Niners. Mac Jones starts against the Texans for San Francisco. Bryce Young doubtful for the Panthers. So Andy Dalton likely to get the start against Buffalo and Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson a full participant in practice. He was limited the first two days, but a full participant today. Ravens have him as questionable to face the Bears coming up on Sunday. Guys, back to you.
Rich Davis
Hey Deep Nick.
Danny G
Sorry dad.
Rich Davis
We know that. We know Brock Purdy's got the turf toe thing. You know, I thought more about this. That's not something like in a week he's just going to be all better. Like even when he returns, isn't that going to like sort of annoyingly linger?
Dan Byers
Yeah, I think it's a six, seven week injury. So yeah, that's what I think. Yes.
Danny G
See if we make fun of these kids, we can't stop.
Rich Davis
Hey listen, we got more CNR next we're going to go over weekend hobnob and what to watch other than the World Series, other than college and NFL football. We do that next right here on Covino and Rich.

That's my belly.
Danny G
And when we all agree it's fact. We all agree it's Wemby Wembanyama.
Rich Davis
I mean, only because a dominating performance in his first game. And when you watch that highlight reel, it's like, yo, this might be a special season.
Danny G
Oh, it was insane.
Spotty
And we all game numbers.
Danny G
We were all geeking out on that. He's your express pro Pro of the week. 40 points. He had 15 rebounds, I believe. Let me double check that. 15 rebounds, one assist, but still 40 dominant points and three swats, three blockers over what's supposed to be a pretty great Dallas Mavericks team. He made Anthony Davis look weak, made flag look weak. Wembanyama looking like the man at 7 foot 5. He's our express pros Pro of the week. And now it's time we do this every Friday. It's weekend Hobnob.
Steve Covino
Let's go live in for the weekend. You're winning bets for talking points. If you get stuck socializing.
Rich Davis
You ever done anything dangerous?
Steve Covino
You ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?
Spotty
That is dangerous.
Steve Covino
Friday brings the US Weekend Hobnobby.
Danny G
All right, I'll kick it off and I'll make it snappy. Of course, you got lots of great baseball game one. You got your NFL. But there's a fight this weekend. Don't let it go under the radar. I know you got Halloween parties and trips to spirit Halloween, but UFC 321, Tom Aspinall and gone. That's a good one. And there's a co main event, women's strawweight fight. Janoba and Dern look out for that. So UFC 321, definitely check that out.
Rich Davis
I've never heard of that. Straw.
Steve Covino
What is strawweight?
Danny G
Women Strawweight. Yeah, there's a thing in the Netflix. Yeah, you got the perfect neighbor. I brought it up a few times. It was number one throughout the week for a reason. It's heart wrenching. It's all shot in police footage, police cam.
Spotty
And.
Danny G
And it's about this neighborhood dilemma. It's really the worst neighbor ever. And you can see the story unfold. The perfect neighbor. Big, big barf. Like I said, heartbreaking on Netflix.
Rich Davis
And by the way, straw weight 106 to 115. Like we're talking like, you know, tiny women. And is there a dude straw weight division?
Danny G
I would think not a women's fight. It's the co main event straw weight. And of course, gotta promote what I think is one of the best shows as far as podcasts that you could watch watch over Promise with Covino and Rich. Our podcast, episode 114 debuted yesterday because it's Back to the Future week.
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Danny G
We went into the future and we predicted who we think the current goats are going to be. Who the goats of the future are the faces of all sports. So we talk that Halloween candy and Rich's picks on Over Promised right on our YouTube page. Covino and Rich FSR.
Rich Davis
Well, you know what? You and I have no overlap, so I got plenty of. Plenty to mention to you guys.
Dan Byers
Yeah.
Rich Davis
Season two of Nobody wants this. I know Spot was probably gonna mention that Spot. You like season one, right, With Kristen Bell.
Danny G
I adored it.
Dan Byers
It was great.
Rich Davis
Adam Brody. It's a cute heart. Heart that you could watch with the wifey or the girlfriend where. Hey, by yourself.
Danny G
It's.
Rich Davis
I thought it was really good. And it's filmed in our neighborhood, Camino. So if you look around, like, all the places they go are right near where you would Spot live in Sherman Oaks. Nobody wants this. Season two, Love is Blind. If you have not watched the wedding episode, Danny, you were right. It's cringy and weird and I don't want to give anything away, but I can't imagine why you dress up and do all that just to be like.
Spotty
No, it is a beautiful train wreck. Let's say that.
Danny G
Yeah, I enjoyed it.
Rich Davis
This would interest you. Camino Mob War. Philadelphia versus the Mafia. A docu series about the mob in Philly just got released on Netflix.
Danny G
Is Chauncey Billups in this documentary?
Rich Davis
Chad Powers on Hulu. I've been talking about this, that if. If you're watching something with the kids, you know, there's been 36 Simpsons. Treehouse of Horrors. 36 of them. So you could go backtrack those. Or is it cake? The Halloween edition. My kids get such a kick out of that stupid show. And a documentary I started last night. I'm going to watch the rest tonight. It sort of dozed off. Not because it was boring. I was just tired. Who killed the Montreal Expos?
Danny G
Yeah, that looks good, dude.
Rich Davis
It was. Was really good. The beginning I watched. And hey, Naked Gun, if you missed it in the theater, that's available now, streaming. And I know what you did last summer. The new one from 2025 with Freddie Prinze Jr. All growing up. That's out now as well.
Spotty
Man. Game one of the World Series just about an hour away. Go Dodgers. Saturday, tomorrow, another hopefully classic game. Same time tomorrow. All right. And really quick, week nine, college football. UCLA at number two Indiana number eight, Ole Miss at number 13. Oklahoma number 15. Missouri at number 10, Vanderbilt. Gonna be a great game. Wisconsin at number six, Oregon and number three, Texas A&M at number 20, LSU.
Danny G
Danny G. I wish Dodgers good luck, but I'm also very happy for Donnie Baseball Don Mattingly with his first World Series appearance as a coach. So it's gonna be exciting. We'll be talking about it come Monday. Anything else?
Steve Covino
Sam we earlier this week I watched this documentary on Peacock called Downey wrote that is about Jim Downey, who was SNL's main writer for 32 years. It is so good. So much good footage, amazing interviews.
Rich Davis
It's one hour and six minutes.
Steve Covino
Check out Downey wrote that on Peacock.
Rich Davis
Perfect. Spotty. Any additions?
Steve Covino
That Springsteen movie comes out in theaters.
Danny G
If you're interested in checking that out. I'm hearing it's Jeremy Allen White. Yeah, I hear it's pretty good.
Rich Davis
You love the dude. You love his show, the Bear, right?
Spotty

Hey, it's Covino and Rich. And last baseball postseason you might have noticed a new logo on the batting helmets, that red ostrich and the word Strauss. They made history as the first brand ever on a professional baseball helmet during the postseason. Pretty big deal and immediately caught my eye. Check them out. Strauss has been family owned and run since 1948 and they've built one of the most trusted names in workwear across the globe.
Jacket, shirts and overalls, it's all the same formula. Durability, comfort, performance in every stitch. Strauss isn't just workwear, it's gear engineered to perform with durability you can rely on to get you through any job from grit to glory. Gear up now@strauss.com that's S T R A U S S.com this is Julian Edelman from Games With Names. Football is back. That means it's tailgate time and this.
