B
It'S more hilarious that Covino is so.
A
Yeah, but you make it Out. Like I'm downplaying the popularity of Friends. I'm just saying, if you think that's common knowledge to everybody. Not everybody watched the show. I didn't watch the show.
B
I mean, 60 million people watch a.
A
Finale, but I think it's cool. And I'm not denying that people loved it. You and I have interviewed Matt LeBlanc. I thought he was a great dude.
B
It was the biggest TV show as far as ratings, other than the Mesh.
A
I know the references. I know when you're saying pivot, pivot. I know the stupid things you're talking about. I just didn't know that the place they hunted out with Central Park.
B
Again, not one of my top five to ten shows, but I think everyone's maybe sort of knows Central Perk.
A
So based on their hangout on the show, you know the Rembrandts? I do. Oh, how many claps did they do?
B
4. 1, 2, 3, 4.
A
Some people think it's 5. By the way, this permanent New York location. You guys are east coast homies. Do you know where this is? The northeast corner of 7th Avenue and 47th Street. I know exactly where it is. The northeast corner of 7th Avenue. But that's pretty cool. So based on this story.
D
Story.
A
What are some other fictional locations in TV movies that you really do wish you could have been to and have checked out?
B
It would have been my local neighborhood coffee shop. Danny G. Where did you say? 47th and 7th?
A
Yeah, 47th and 7th.
B
When I lived in New York before we moved to LA, the last place I lived was 48th and 8th. So literally a block away, you would.
A
Have been laying on the couch in there. All right, now I got some great answers. I think I have the best answer, but I don't want to take away from anyone's fun. So we'll go to the phones and 8, 7799 on Fox. 8, 7799 on Fox.
B
Are you saying you don't want to pull an Iowa? Sam, according to Dan Buyer. Take all the good answers.
A
Yeah, exactly. I don't have one today, so. Oh, really? Yeah. I got a few good ones.
B
Best fictional hang. I got a few. I know you got a few. So let's have at it. We'll start with Tim in New York State. What's up, Timmy?
D
Yeah, I was going to say most idly. Cantina from Star Wars. Oh, yeah, that Disney World. I just got back from my honeymoon there. I'm not even a big Disney guy, but you go there and you're. You're just totally Immersed in it. And me and my new wife became back and forth, big Disney guys now.
A
Oh, man. I went there in my recent trip. It's so awesome. And it does fulfill that fantasy. Like, wow. Because you saw that as a kid, you're like, that's the coolest thing ever. Honestly, that was one of my first thoughts. I knew someone was going to say that, but that wasn't my answer. Great answer. And if you have never visited, you gotta check that out. Great answer. Great question. Also, at Disneyland, I feel like every.
B
Time you hang out and party with Sam, he hears that song in his head.
A
Yes, that song is playing on a loop 24 7.
B
Let's say hi to Tom in Florida. Tom, you're with Covino and Rich on Fox Sports radio. What's up, Tom?
D
It's easy for me, guys. In the daytime, I'd go get a kabagool sandwich from Satrielli's pork shop. At night, I'd go get some zambuca from Bada Bing.
A
Oh, now, hold on. Let's go now. Satriale's was a real place. Cause we would. I'd pass that place.
B
That's great.
A
That was a real place. The Bada Bing was also a real place, but it was called Stilettos, right? No, no, no.
D
Hold on.
B
I know.
A
Hold on. I know what it is. Come on. Oh, what was it also starts with an S. It's not sapphire. Hold on. Two words. What was this part?
B
Satin Dolls.
A
That was it. It was called Satin Dolls. And we used to go every once in a while. Seventeen in New Jersey. But for the TV show, it was called Bada Bing. So that's a great answer, guys.
B
Getting some gabagool and he's getting some lap dances. Not a bad answer, Timmy. Let's say hi to Shane in Illinois. Shane, what fictional hang. What fictional hang would you want to go to in honor of the real central perk opening up in Times Square?
D
Hey, what's up, fellas?
B
Love the show. Oh, thanks, man.
D
So being a 90s, being a 90s baby and growing up in the 2000s, I want to go to bikini Bottom and eat at the Krusty Krab.
B
That's a good one.
A
That's perfect for national cheeseburger Day too. You know, that's just one of those shows that regardless of how old you are, you still get a kick out of it. Spongebob was so great.
B
Of course, man.
A
Great one. An 80s one. Covino, I thought you were gonna say this first. The silver spoons House. Oh, the house. I'M thinking, like, bars and restaurants. Yeah. I'm thinking it could be any fictional location.
B
If you say the Silver Spoon house and you say you want to be on a little train with Ricky Schroeder.
A
Yeah.
B
Big Mike, who runs this place, who said that he wants to hang at the pool house at Uncle Phil's house?
A
Oh, yeah, he said that.
B
You know, Will had a setup. They had a sweet pool. His. Where Will lived in the beach house. Beach house in the guest house is nicer than most people's real house.
A
Can I set you once again? I don't think I've seen one episode of Fresh Prince. Oh, stop. I'm serious. I'm not even joking.
B
What were you doing in the 90s?
A
I was, you know, I was on the prowl, bro. That's what I was doing. How Booty dating hotties is what I was doing.
B
How focused on girls were you that you didn't watch Friends or Fresh Prince?
A
Oh, yeah, like baseball practice. I had time for that. You at least saw reruns of this as a kid in the late 80s. Covino, Three's company. Oh, it's my number one answer.
B
Oh, mine too.
A
I wrote it down.
B
Then take it away.
A
Yo, go for it, Covina. All right, I'll say this because I know what you're gonna say. My number one answer is Jack Spe Strokes. I always wanted to see what? I always wanted to see what Felipe was cooking up. Okay, we have the same show, but I think a different location. Joking. I know exactly what you're gonna say. I was gonna say Chrissy's apartment. The apartment complex. Oh, I thought you said Mr. Roper. No, no, it's cool that we're thinking of the same show. Regal Beagle is the coolest place to me, like, I know it's a dated show, but growing up, man, it looked like they were getting so much late 70s booty at that place, having so much fun. Larry was always meeting some Lana type of woman.
B
There were no. There were no cell phones, obviously. So you remember, Larry would always knock on the door. The Regal Jack. I got two hotties down at the Regal Beagle. The Regal Beagle was such a big.
A
Part of that show before.
B
Before I lived in Los Angeles. You know, I grew up on the East Coast. Danny, fill in the blanks for me.
D
Are they.
B
Are they insinuating that they lived maybe, like, the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica? Is that sort of like the vibe? Like, that was the.
A
Hang there in Santa Monica? Yeah, right there. Right by the water in Santa Monica somewhere right there. The Regal Beagle was my answer. You said Chrissy's apartment.
B
Well, they said that cool little. Remember the Janet actually poured the water on her by mistake.
A
Yeah.
B
In the opening credits. Were they down at the San Diego Zoo for one of them, I think. Right.
A
Correct.
B
And then they were playing bumper cars at the Santa Monica Pier.
A
And then there's the famous stairs. And I remember as a little kid, my mom saying, look, there's the stairs from Three's Company. So here's what I had written down. I'm gonna. I'll give you mine, and we'll finish up with the phone calls. 877-99-N Fox. Fictional places you'd like to visit based on Central Perk, which is a new place in New York, an actual place. Now, I had Star Wars Cantina written down. I had Regal Beagle. Regal Beagle from Three's Company. I have Arnold's from Happy Days just because. I mean, it was sort of like a very common backdrop on that show. Like, they're always hanging out at Arnold's, where Big Al was working. Pat Morita early on. Arnold's. Rob's Place from what's Happening. That's where Shirley worked. That's where all those fat jokes are being told. Like it was a major backdrop to these shows. Rob's Place, that's the diner from what's Happened.
B
That's why when we said the Max before, I feel like Saved by the Bell. The kids would always end up at that cool diner with the magician, waiter and everything.
A
And you said, it's National Cheeseburger Day. I'd like to get a cheeseburger from Shirley from Rob's Place on what's Happening.
B
All right. I got a couple that I don't know if you'll remember the name, but I got two that I think are great answers.
A
Good.
B
I think.
A
Are you saying your answers are the best?
B
Could be. I'm a big How I met your mother fan. So I always felt like I wanted to get a beer at McLaren's, which was the bar they always hung out at. They had their booth at McLaren's. Same bartender. You know, it's where Barney would always hit a real place that's a real.
A
Place in the city. Is that like a Pig and Whistle or something?
B
It's based off a bar in the city in midtown, right around Times Square.
A
But it wasn't a real place.
B
But it's not an actual real place. McLaren's. And I gotta give him credit, I want to steal his answer, but our Buddy Mouser in Cincinnati hit us up and he goes. The name of the strip club Al Bundy would always go to was called the Jiggly Room. So when Al would go. When Al and Jefferson would go to the Jiggly Room. That is great.
A
That's such a great one. Yeah. Good call. I would love to go with Alan, Jefferson and Steve. Let's just bring Steve in.
B
Dwight in Kentucky, by the way, you more of a Steve or Jefferson guy?
A
I'm more of a street rapper, Grandmaster B sort of guy. Bundy guy.
B
All right, Dwight. What's up, man? You're on in Kentucky.
D
Hey, how y' all doing?
B
What's up?
D
I got two quick ones, y'. All. I don't know if y' all remember them. They're kind of old, but one. You remember Martin Lawrence show.
B
Of course. Martin.
A
Yeah.
D
You remember Nipsey.
B
Yes.
D
Okay. And then. And then Jamie Foxx Show. They used to hang out at the King's Tower. I used to. I wonder what that would be like. You know, they had a lounge, a bar.
B
Yeah.
A
Hey, man. We actually talked to Martin Lawrence about that and took a lot of pride in it because on the show, he was a radio host, so we always thought that was really cool.
B
No doubt. All right, let's say hello to Josh and Pa. By the way. Thanks for the call, Dwight. What's up, Josh?
A
Hey, Josh.
D
Hey, Rich.
B
Bang, bang, niner, gang. Let's go.
A
Oh, yeah. Nice talking to you, Budd.
D
My spot is a fictional room inside of a real building. It'd be Mulder and Scully from the X Files office inside the FBI building. And hopefully I'd be able to get a little alone time with Agent Scully. You know what I'm saying?
B
Guy wants a little alone time with Scully. X Files. I was never a big fan, but I know the reference he's talking about.
A
My dad's still watching. That was a sneaky show. That was a good show.
B
They came up with some good plots.
A
You ever see the one about the Chupacabra? It's a good one. The movie was pretty good, too.
B
I feel it's been a while since it's been.
A
What other fictional locations would you like to visit? It's a fun question.
B
Let's go to Tulsa and say what's up to John. What's up, John?
D
Hello. Thank you for taking my call. Guys, I'm gonna age myself here. But the original Gene Wilder, Willy Wonka the Chocolate Factory. I'd love to with that. Or make that for my kids.
B
I always want edible candy.
A
Room the edible candy. Hold on. There's a related story. Like, what's also cool about this question is because through theme parks and pop up shops and even central perk, the recent story is like, it could be a possibility or reality in the future. Right. For the fun of it, for nostalgia and our generations. Love nostalgic. Now, there was a story recently where they tried to do some sort of pop up event where it was Willy Wonka, remember? And it turned out to be a disaster.
D
Terrible.
A
Yeah. Everyone wanted their money back. They actually tried to do this and it was a big, big story where they ripped off all their customers. They tried to recreate it, and it didn't work out the way our boy here fantasized. But yeah, that's a cool answer.
B
Rico in Virginia. What's up, Rico?
D
Hey, what's up? When I was a kid, I always wanted to go to Bayside and afterwards hang out with my schoolmates at the Max.
B
It's a great answer, man. Honestly, it's. You know, that's where Zach and Lisa Turtle did the sprain. That's where Slater did that. Where Slater did that cool dance in his Fandex.
D
Yeah.
A
Who else do we got?
B
Danny. The phones are all lit, but Danny's chiming in. In the meantime, let me bring up. I know it's a cartoon and I'm surprised, Iowa Sam hasn't thought of it since. Oh, no, I thought of this.
A
I know what you're. I know where you're going.
B
Want to get a beer at Moe's Tavern or what? Or the Drunken Clam. Where are you going?
A
Let's go get a Duff at Moe's.
B
The Duff at Moe's. Or if you're a Family Guy fan, you think that's bad? Go get a. Go get a brew Ha. At the Drunken Clam. Always. Always. Sunny. Yeah, I was thinking about the bar there.
A
What's that bar called?
B
Patty's. Maybe Patties. Yeah, that's a. That's a good one as well. A lot of great answers. Your thoughts? Let's go to Jeff. You're on. What's up, Jeff?
D
How we doing, guys?
B
Jeff and Maine.
D
Hey, guys, how we doing?
A
We're good, man.
B
What you got?
D
Wondering how no one has said cheers with Norm and the gang or Monk from Seinfeld.
B
Yeah, last hour. At the end of last hour, we did. But hey, people are joining every second, so. Thank you, Jeff and Cheers. By the way, Camino, you and I went to the. We went to Cheers. I'm sure it's a little different but in Boston, did I not go with you? Look at that. I went without you somewhere.
A
I mean, we've been in Boston together. I'm not sure. But I do have a mug in my house. So was I there? I'm not sure. I have, like, a Cheers mug from Cheers. How about Burger World?
B
Yeah, Burger World. I feel like we've nailed all the good TV ones. Are there movie ones we're forgetting? Did someone go somewhere in a movie?
A
Yeah, I think the Star Wars Cantina is the number one answer. I think that is the coolest one.
B
I mean, did you ever want to go to Chuck's Bike O Rama and Peewee's Big Adventure?
D
Any.
B
Any stores or. Or hangs in a movie that you liked as a kid?
A
No. Some of those places are real places.
B
Would you want to go to Pee Wee's Playhouse?
A
By the way, that's also. That's a great answer. That's really great. But that's also 3rd Street Promenade in Pee Wee's Big Adventure, if I'm not mistaken. And the dinosaurs. That's somewhere up to pch. You remember those weird dinosaurs they went.
B
And visited in the movie Naked Gun?
A
Because the first time I took a road trip and I saw that, I was like, oh, my God, that's Pee Wee's Big Adventure. It is a thrill, Rach. It is cool to see that stuff.
B
Remember Naked Gun? Leslie Nielsen goes everywhere I look, I think of her. And he's passing those two, like, oil things that.
A
Look. That's in the same area.
B
It looks like two big boobs. That's on the way down to San Diego. Were they oil canisters? What are those things? I don't know.
A
I thought they're big, giant metal boobs.
B
No, I don't think. I think there's a purpose.
A
I was thinking of, like, Doc Brown's house in Back to the Future. That's so funny, because it sounds cool, right? You'd love to see all these things, all the inventions.
D
Yeah, it's.
A
The Brady Bunch house is, like, five minutes away from here, and we've never. I've never drove past it, ever.
B
I've seen it in person.
A
Front. Really? Studio City.
B
Yeah.
A
So it's about 15 minutes down the road. I mean, from where I live, though. It's right down the street.
B
It's a nice neighborhood.
A
It's kind of weird, though. Like, we've never, like, one day. Can we just, like, take a ride by.
B
Let's do it. I'm a hell of a. I mean.
A
We live out here, but thanks. Again, for participating for all your phone calls. Again, there's a central perk. Now, based on the popular show Friends in New York City. So what fictional place would you like to visit? Let us know.
B
Jerry in West Virginia. We'll wrap through the rest of these and then we'll talk a little more. NFL. What's up, Jerry?
D
Oh, God. Thanks for taking my call, but no problem. I have. I have always wanted to party after a huge Bayside Tigers victory at the Max and dance with Lisa Turtle.
B
Dude, it's the number one answer, apparently.
A
Except Richard wanted to dance with Mario Lopez, so.
B
You ever see him dance in the. In a singlet?
A
Yeah.
B
Lisa Turtle making an unexpected upset bit over Kelly Kapowski.
A
So far, no one's mentioning Kelly, who.
B
Was the cutest of the bunch. I mean, at the Max, everyone. I think everyone thinks of that episode where Lisa hurt her leg, right? And they had the dance contest and she had to do the sprain.
A
Let me ask you for real, when you went to the Max Pop Up Shop, was it fun?
B
Yeah, because when they do a great job replicating it, it is kind of cool, right? You know, I took my kids to a Bluey Pop up and they replicated like the cartoon house, and it was pretty cool. They did it at the Topanga, whatever it is that. The mall. Whatever.
A
If you're a parent and they do these things, I think you should definitely take the kids. Like, they vote. They've opened up a bunch of, like, Sanrio hello Kitty pop up shops everywhere. They're a lot of fun. Kids get a big kick out of it, so definitely take advantage of this.
B
Robin St. Louis, what's up?
A
Hey, Rob.
D
Hey, guys. How's it going? You know, you mentioned Martin Lawrence before, which remind me of those early 90s Fox shows. How about hanging out at the Melrose Place in the pool with all the chicks there, huh?
A
I'm down for that.
B
That was the hang.
A
That sounds fun.
B
That was the hang.
A
That.
B
That's. You know, when you were younger, that's what you thought, like, yo, la. That's what it's like, huh?
A
Yeah. Beverly Hills. Let's go, man.
B
All right, Kent.
A
In Maine, I thought that's the life we'd be living out here, but most of the times at home watching football.
B
What's up, Kent?
A
What's up, man?
D
Hey, how's it going? So I think somebody brought it up earlier, but I've actually been to the actual Drunken Clam in Boston from Family Guy.
B
That's great.
D
And it was more geared, I guess, more towards everything. Like their house as well. But it was. It was pretty neat to go there. Pretty good theme.
B
Well, they came up with a list. I wanted to use our own imagination, and we did. So now that we got our own.
A
Out of the way, that's the Peewee's Playhouse answer. I thought that was pretty good. Yeah, that's a pretty good answer.
B
Best hangs in TV shows. Buzzfeed put out a list a couple of years back, and, yeah, they have everything from how I met your mother's McLarens to Nemo's. Nemo's pizza on Everybody Loves Raymond. I'm trying to think, was that that big of a backdrop? The Max, Saved by the Bell Monks, Cafe Seinfeld. The hub on that 70 show. Was that some of them. Some of these, I'm like, do they make the list? What do you got, Sam?
A
My. Okay, it's.
B
It's Gomez's vault in the Addams Family. It's where Uncle Fester and Gomez go down into, like, the water vault and then go.
A
Uncle Fester takes the top off of, like, a cognac bottle, and everything switches.
B
Around, and then you're in this, like.
A
Endless hallway of all these gold doubloons and jewels.
B
I would like to be in there.
A
Wouldn't you rather go see Grandpa Munster working on some stuff in the basement?
B
No.
A
Yeah, that sounds.
B
The Addams family house in general would be, like, a fun thing for me.
A
I want to do the thing where.
B
You pull the chain waterslide thing.
A
You know, if I had a choice to go hang with the Munsters or the Addams Family, it'd be the Munsters all day.
D
Come on.
A
That house alone is just full of wonder.
B
By pure coincidence, I was Sam on this day, the Addams family debuted in 1964.
A
No way. Wow.
B
Look at that.
D
Wow.
A
You must have felt the vibe. It all comes together. That's your uncle. Your inner Uncle Fester. Can I give you guys a black and white one?
B
Yeah, sure.
A
My grandma would be proud of me for saying this one. The Tropicana Club. I Love Lucy. I thought you were gonna say you cannot be in the show. You want to be in the bottle with the genie. With I Dream of Genie. Oh, that went to color. Yeah, well, it was in black and white, wasn't it? All right, so we'll wrap it up with. Actually, so many people are calling for this.
B
People love talking about this. I'll take two more. We'll go to Dave and Kevin, and then we'll talk some more. NFL Dave in North Cali what's up, man?
D
How's it going?
B
What's up, bud? What you got?
D
I got. I got two. One of them I don't know the name of, but the Emporium in Dazed and Confused.
B
Good one.
A
Nice.
D
And the restaurant on Goonies.
B
The restaurant on Goose.
A
Oh, yeah. How is the restaurant? Yeah, there's a name for it.
D
Let me.
B
Oh, the Fratelli's. When he.
A
Whenever they're in there and they in, he gets put in the freezer.
B
Oh, yeah, that was a restaurant. That was like, a closed restaurant. Remember when Mama Fratelli gave him, like, yellow water?
A
How about.
B
Was it One Eyed? Was the pirate One Eyed Jack.
A
One Eyed Willie.
B
One Eyed Willie.
A
Excuse me, One Eyed Jack.
B
Who's One Eyed Jack? How about One Eyed Willy's ship? And that. That, like, that inner cove that's, like, covered by rock.
A
The Lighthouse Lounge was the name of that rundown restaurant. Look at you guys. All right, so the rest of your answers and the more you think about, like, 80s movies come to mind. Like, yeah, I always wish that looked kind of cool. Think about it. Let us know at Covino and Rich at Fox Sports Radio. I'm sticking with my answer, the Regal Beagle. And with Kevin.
B
Kevin Ohio. What's up, man? You got the last say.
D
Hey, how's it going, guys?
B
What's up?
D
So, first off, shout out to Tropicana. That's awesome. But two places. I'm riding the Batpole down to the bat Cave in 1966.
B
Good one.
D
And I'm also heading to the boat, heading to the Boar's Nest and hang with the Duke boys.
A
Duke's a hazard.
B
That's a good one. I'm thinking of some of my favorite movies. I'm like, do we want to go to Billy Madison's, like, mansion? Shampoo is better. Do we want to go. Is there anywhere we want to go from, like, an old Sandler or Jim Carrey movie?
A
I was thinking of sci fi. Like, nobody said any other worlds, really, except for the Star wars answer. But, like, think Avatar.
B
I don't want to go to Shawshank Prison.
A
No, you don't want to go there. I'll tell you, you know, after going on that Pandora Avatar ride, what's it called? What's it called? Avatar or something? Flight or whatever. Yeah, it's insanely dope. It's insanely dope. That's one of the coolest lands in Animal Kingdom. Flight of Passage. Flight of Passage. Avatar. So, yeah, that might be a great answer, too. So think about it. Let us know. And thanks for playing along. And if you're ever in New York City Central, Perk is now there.
B
We got a real one. Listen, we're going to talk a little more NFL. I got my solar power parlay. We'll, we'll go over some parlays for week three. Get your bets in, talk a little baseball playoffs. Within two weeks we'll be talking MLB postseason, which is pretty awesome. So some baseball, some football, and an update on the Canelo, not Canelo, I'm sorry, the Jake Paul Tank Davis fight. There's a little update that you might have missed, so we'll get to all that next right here on Cavino and Rich.

Yes.

Might want to go back to the.

A
Wow.
B
You know what I want to do. Let's go. Rapid fire. But I'm going to switch it up. Danny G. We're talking about fictional hangs because there's a new coffee shop in New York City. Central Perk based off of friends. I'm going to ask people their answer real quick, but then I want them to tell me where their favorite burger joint is because today is National Cheeseburger Day. All right, so, Josh, New Mexico. Start off, buddy. What's up, Josh?
D
Hi. I was thinking about the bar from the Arnold Schwarzenegger Total Recall with the girl with the three boobs.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
You know, people would want to go there. Yeah. There you go. And what's your favorite fast food burger? Bug?
D
Here in our town, there's a place called Hometown Burgers. It's a local place. Really good.
B
Love it. Hometown Burgers.
A
Welcome to Burger World.
B
Bob in Florida. What's up, Bob?
D
Yes. Rick's Cafe Americana from Casablanca. Play it again, Sam.
A
Oh, that's pretty cool.
B
Yeah, that's a good old school one. And Bob, you got a favorite burger real quick. Go ahead.
D
Yeah, afraid I'm a McDonald's guy.
B
Good old Mickey D's.
A
Not McDowell's. McDowell's is way better.
B
Kavita's. Wherever McDowell's guy.
A
McDowell's has the golden arcs. In fact, that's where I'd love to go.
B
Bob's in Tallahassee. What's up, Bob?
D
I also, I wanted to take Iowa Sam to Rick's Cafe so somebody could tell him play it again. Sam.
A
There you go.
B
I would love to do that.
A
Favorite cheese.
B
A burger spot for you, Bob, or no?
D
Yeah, there's one here out of Wisconsin. Names escape me at the moment.
B
Forgot the name of his favorite burgers. It's called names escape me at the moment. Oh, that would be a good name for a place. The name escapes me. Oh, man. Loren.
A
No. Lauren.
B
Lauren.
D
Hey, what's up, guys?
B
What's up, bud?
D
I think I would want to hang out with alf on melmac and eat some cats innuendo.
B
Let's have Paul wrap it up in rhode island. What's up, Paul, my man?
D
Let's go to where the paw sox used to play Pawtucket house of pizza, man. The best burger there is.
B
Sauteed onions.
D
I'm telling you, you have to have a burger.
A
You know, we call this fat guy radio.
B
Fat guy radio.
A
Fat guy radio. What kind of bun do you want? What do you think? Are you thinking, like, think about it. Do you want a. You want a toasted bun? You want brioche bun? Oh, you know.
B
I gotta ask.
A
I gotta ask you, radio.
B
Gotta ask you jabronis, if you were to get a cheeseburger right now on international national cheeseburger day or whatever the heck it is, are. Do you have a cheese preference? Are you one of the people that likes the blue cheeseburger when it's on the menu? Are you always. Are you always. Now, are you always opting for, like, the southwest one that always has, like, pepper jack with bacon and jalapeno? Oh, that too.
A
Give it to all those. Yeah, you're making me want a burger.
B
Are you going straight up? What's the rage with the smash burger? That's been the rage, what, maybe three years now? Three, four years.
A
Crispy, you know, Only one burger place out here in la, actually, and I'm talking fast food for the second, for the reference. Actually got me off my lazy fat ass because I saw a commercial and I'm like, I gotta go get it.
B
A commercial for a fast food burger. Got you.
A
Yeah. And that's how I was like, munchies, you know, we're kicking in and I was feeling real fat. And I'm like, you know what? I've had enough.
B
And I got up to get that.
A
Carl's Jr. Like, Western. What's it called? Oh, the western bacon cheese.
B
Bro.
A
It's so good. It wanted me as good as it does in the commercial. To me, it felt that good that day because I wanted it so bad. The commercials are basically porn. Well, it's Insane. And I'm not talking those legend clad woman eating the burger. No. Oh, it's got the onion rings inside of it. Western bacon cheeseburger. Bacon cheeseburger actually got me out.
B
And that's called Hardee's. Yeah.
A
In other parts of the country's. It's so good. I'm not even lying. As far as fast food, that would get me out of the house. And I might get one tonight, Rich.
B
All right.
A
Because it's a holiday and all.
B
Now, before we go to really quick.
A
Though, Rich, I heard you talking to your wife right before the show, and you said, we're getting cheeseburgers tonight. Where are you guys going?
B
See, I hate doing local spots when we talk on the radio because, you know, not everyone's local, but there is, I'm sure, in every hometown, a smash burger spot. Right. On Ventura Boulevard. There's a place called let's Smash.
A
Ooh, let's Smash.
B
Locally owned. And I just.
A
Smasher pass.
B
There's something about. There's something about the rage of smash burger spots. Right. It's the at. I get the triple because they're thin patties.
A
There's more surface, which creates more flavor on the burgers.
B
So enjoy your cheeseburger day. And before we go to Isaac for an update, for the first time ever in Major League Baseball, a player was awarded first base because the defense cheated on the shift a little bit.
A
Oh, wow.
B
For the first time, the umpires called the play.
A
That's pretty cool.
B
It was. Royals were on defense against the Mariners. Now, it wasn't the short. The shortstop was positioned right by second base. So it's not that he was on the wrong side of second base. The second baseman was on the grass. And you can't. That's another rule that I think a lot of people don't realize if. When. When doing a shift, they don't allow you to have your infield in the outfield implementing that.
A
And I'm glad they made. I'm glad they made that. That change, though.
B
That was so ridiculous two years ago now. Right, Right. It's been a couple. So you were talking a couple years, and this is the first violation. You know what I thought about? I know Isaac is on standby, but we talked about how Kyle Schwaber is an MVP candidate for the Phillies. You remember how Kyle Schwaber batted.190 for a couple seasons and now he's batting.245. Do you think that is the shift?
A
Probably because he's such a pole hitter.
B
I mean, it's not like he got 50 points higher. It has to be that everyone was just shifting for guys like Schwaberbaum.
A
Makes sense.
B
All right, let's say hi to Ilo. What's updating man? What's going on? Hi fellas. We will start with the Los Angeles Dodgers announcing that three time Cy Young award winning pitcher Clayton Kershaw will retire at the end of the season. He will make his final regular season home start tomorrow against the San Francisco Giants. On the field today, the Cleveland Guardians made it seven straight wins with a 31 victory at Detroit. The Athletics won at Boston. 5 3. Brent Rooker's two run home run in the first inning gave him his third strike straight 30 home run campaign. And most importantly, the New York Mets defeated The San Diego Padres 6 1. Pete Alonso homered for a fourth consecutive game giving him 37 of the season. Brandon Nimmo added a three run home run. Sports journalist Pablo Torre reported today that the Los Angeles clippers made a $21 million payment to the company Aspiration in June of 2022. The payment was signed off for in writing by the Clippers chief financial and was made at a time when aspiration was struggling for cash and was made two weeks before aspiration was due to make a payment to Clippers star Kawhi Leonard. Finally, week three of the NFL season kicks off at 8:15 Eastern Time tonight as the 02 Miami Dolphins visit the 20 Buffalo Bills. Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle, officially questionable with a shoulder injury but told NFL media a short time ago that he will play tonight at Buffalo. Guys, all yours. Yo Isaac Lonkron. Thanks buddy.
A
Thanks.
B
Is now coming up. We got your pick for tonight. Dolphins. Buffalo. I think. You know what, I think I have just the teaser bet that makes sense for this whole thing. So we're going to do a bet coming up and we're going to check in with our very own damn buyer who's with our pal J. Stu. They're actually in Buffalo jumping through tables right now. Get ready for the Bills Dolphins tonight and we hear from those guys and we'll talk a little Thursday night football next right here. Covino and Rich.

B
And we are debuting a new game on the show tomorrow. Danny G. What are we calling this one?
A
We are calling it Synonymous City. And actually Byro was with us when we created it. Remember we said 1, 2, 3 when I asked you who's the face of Minneapolis?
B
Okay, this is gonna be fun. Tomorrow, Dan, we're gonna.
A
What did you say, Rich?
B
I said Curry Puckett.
A
And Dan said Prince. You said Gary Anderson.
B
Gary Anderson. Sorry.
A
So the caller, we're gonna give him different cities and he's gonna have to try to match two out of five with the crew. All right, sounds good, man.
B
I can'. Be tomorrow on the show, but right now I don't want to keep him waiting. I don't want. He's up there in Buffalo waiting to jump through a table, I bet. What's up, Dan Beyer?
D
Fellas, it is great to be with you. Jason Stewart and myself have made it to Highmark Stadium.
B
Nice.
D
And we are hanging out with Bill's mafia as we speak. Between the old facility, the one that we're ushering out this year, and the brand new Highmark Stadium right across the street, it is an amazing night in.
A
Buffalo and that's cool because this is the last season at the old stadium. So you get to go, you know, what's the vibe like for real, man, if you're there with, with the mafia, how's it going? What's the vibe?
D
Yeah, yeah. I'll tell you this. And I even said this to Jason. I said we had a walk up to the stadium and we're seeing all these fans. The thing that strikes me most about it is how young these fans are. Like this 20 to 30 year old fan base. I have not seen it like this throughout any other team in the NFL. I'm not saying other teams don't have fans of their 20s and 30s, but it feels like we use college atmosphere sometimes too loosely and I don't even know if that's appropriate here. But there is a young vibe when it comes to the Bills. Josh Allen jerseys everywhere. It's really, really cool. Tailgating for miles out. We parked about a mile away from the stadium and it was just tailgate after tailgate after tailgate. We even threw some pictures up. So yeah. So really good vibe.
A
Guys, have you and J. Stu chest bumped or high fived jumping high five at any time. Are you wearing beer helmets?
D
Not yet.
B
Not yet.
D
Not yet.
A
I actually have a legitimate question. Dan Beyer on location for the game tonight. And J. Stu, you know, earlier we were talking what is.
B
What did.
A
What did the Dolphins have to do tonight to save McDaniel's job?
D
Oh, boy. I don't know if there's anything to save it for tonight. It just may save it off for a few more weeks. If they were to get a victory tonight, it would make it easier if they lost because of the extended weeks. Weeks to make a change if you needed to. But it'd be very, very difficult to save the job. I think. I think that ship has sailed. Unfortunately, no matter what the outcome is.
B
Tonight, Dan Byer and J. Stu are hanging in Buffalo. Nice little bros. Quick trip. I love that you and Jason decided.
A
Sounds like fun.
B
Are you guys in disguise as Bills fans? Are you Rob lowing it? Meaning are you wearing, like, an NFL shirt? Like, what are we doing?
D
So Jason's wearing his Dodgers World Series cap on the search for a beer right now. He wants a beer. I'm just wearing golf hoodie with a navy cap. We are team neutral. But it's not like I would say it's more Bill's colors. So, like, fit in, but no Bill's gear right now.
B
Okay, so you put away your teal that you usually wear.
D
I saw a nice Let Cook Cook jersey, and if you check out my Twitter, guys, some guy's wearing an OJ Shirt. Not an odd, but an actual shirt.
B
One of the few markets where OJ still tests. Um, by the way, I just looked at the last, like, five or six games between the Bills and the Dolphins, and it does not look good for Miami. I mean, Buffalo, over the last few encounters have Buffalo scored 30, 31, 21 in a wild card game. 48, 34, 32. So Buffalo putting up big numbers. I know it's not the same team, but still, the last couple of years has not been good for the Dolphins.
A
Db, just for the fun of the story and the parody of the league, do you think there's any chance the Dolphins keep it even close tonight?
D
Yeah, like, the. The line, I think, was at 12 and a half. At one point, moved to 11 and a half. This is division rival. It's just a short week that is really tough for Miami on the road. And you're right, Buffalo's had their number even in big games. In a big game a season or two ago in Miami, Buffalo went down and won that. Beat him in the playoff game. So, yeah, they just got. It's a better team. They're better matched up. Buffalo's built on Speed so you can get after tua. It's a really tough matchup for Miami and to do it now on a short week. That's why I think you have that double dig.
B
Yeah. And you know what DB I have a teaser bet I want to throw out there. I tease the teaser bet. So you said the points for it dropped to 11 and a half which is still fine with me. I'm going to do a two layer six point tee so I'm going to just for the heck of Mike McDaniel I'm going to go up and I'm going to go dolphins plus 17 and a half. That half a point hook might help you. So Dolphins plus 17 and a half and over 44 because the point the over under is 50. So take it out to 44 and take the over. Even if the game's 30 to 20, I think points will be scored. So I like dolphins plus 17 and a half over 44.
D
Yeah. No Matt Milano or at Oliver tonight for the Bills. So they're missing pieces on defense. I like that Rich. Especially the the teaser on the Dolphins. I think they'll keep it relatively close around that number but I don't think it's going to be a 30 to 30 to three game like we saw last week.
B
Yeah.
A
And DB and Jason, I know you're there to party and have a great time. It's National Cheeseburger Day. What do diving into now?
D
We've already had one round of wings, guys.
A
Oh nice.
D
Tomorrow's round two and three are are on store. It's all wings for the 60 hours we're here. I'm only eating wings.
B
I mean you're in Buffalo. You might as well.
A
You might as well, man. Hey, thanks for chiming in bro. Sounds like you're having a great time.
B
Later, Dan Beyer and J. Stew up in Buffalo for tonight's Thursday Night Football.
A
Just hoping for a close up game.
B
Dan Beyer JSTU Just a reminder, football's such a great time to just pick a week, go away with some buddies, have some fun. So enjoy and we'll see you guys back here tomorrow. Until then then. Arriba di baby.
A
See you in the over promised land. All right, cool. Let's go.

Hosts: Covino & Rich (Covino and Rich), with guests and callers
This lively episode centers on two fun themes: iconic fictional “hangouts” from TV and movies people wish they could visit, and National Cheeseburger Day—perfectly blending nostalgia, humor, and a love for food. The show invites listeners to weigh in with their own favorite fictional spots, debates the best cheeseburgers, and sets the stage for the evening’s NFL matchup between the Bills and Dolphins. Throughout, Covino & Rich keep the energy up with fast-paced banter, memorable references, and audience interaction.
Quote – Listener Tim (on Star Wars) [07:08]: “Most idly Cantina from Star Wars. ... You go there and you’re just totally immersed in it. ... Me and my new wife became big Disney guys now.”
Reflection on Pop-Up Experiences:
Covino notes the fun and nostalgia of pop-up replicas (e.g., The Max from Saved by the Bell) and encourages parents to take kids when possible.
“It is kind of cool, right? ... They replicated the cartoon house, and it was pretty cool.” (20:30)
Addams Family Trivia:
Iowa Sam points out it debuted on this day in 1964 (23:04), with Rich adding, “You must have felt the vibe… your inner Uncle Fester.” (23:13)
Burger Chat Launch:
Covino pivots into rapid-fire calls, asking both for favorite fictional hangouts and go-to cheeseburger spots in honor of the day.
Favorite Burger Spots:
Discussion on Smash Burgers:
Rich notes the recent “rage” for smash burgers:
“Are you always opting for, like, the southwest one that always has, like, pepper jack with bacon and jalapeno?” (34:45) Covino adds: “The Western bacon cheeseburger—actually got me [off] my lazy fat ass … I might get one tonight, Rich.” (35:44)
Quote – Dan Beyer (on crowd vibe) [47:05]: “The thing that strikes me most about it is how young these fans are ... it feels like a college atmosphere but even more.”
“Let’s be honest, seeing the places from movies or TV as a real thing is just cool—nostalgia, man. It’s a trip.” – Covino (16:04)
“McDowell’s has the golden arcs. ... That’s where I’d love to go.” – Covino (33:24)
“I don’t think I’ve seen one episode of Fresh Prince. … I was on the prowl, bro.” – Covino (09:49)
“It is an amazing night in Buffalo … tailgate after tailgate after tailgate.” – Dan Beyer (46:55)
