Isaac, you were quick to say Bo and I think too, I'm like, you know, maybe one of the most generational athletes that doesn't get enough credit. I would love to pick the brain and talk to Bo Jackson. But Gronk is like, you want to party with Gronk, right?

You know, we. We tend to think that rivalries, like, guys stick around. I mean, it's no surprise. But wasn't it Dan Bar the other day that said the 106 men that are rostered on the two Super bowl teams, not one is from the Super Bowl. The last time the Patriots played the Seahawks, I mean, it's been over a decade, but it's 106 new men.

[Steve Covino]

David Robertson had a pretty, pretty solid career, man. Props to that guy. 17 really, really great years in the big. He was nine years with the Yanks. He played with your Mets.

[Rich Davis]

He was a very, very reliable guy out of the bullpen.

[Steve Covino]

He was always a good pitcher.

[Rich Davis]

I mean, I feel like the only guy that played longer than him was Darren Oliver.

[Steve Covino]

Yeah, but 17 years. But it felt really long because again, he played with that Yankee squad. That's some random news today. Just throwing that out there. Congrats to him on a great career. Now, Rich, the story is, is it LeBron City or Donovan Mitchell city? Yeah, we're talking Cleveland. And it got us thinking, is there someone that clearly just owns that city nowadays?

[Rich Davis]

Well, last the other night after the game, Donovan Mitchell getting some props, interviewed by George Sedano. Donovan Mitchell's team seemed to have his back. This is Donovan Mitchell City now. This is Donovan Mitchell City now. When he come back here, we're gonna.

[Steve Covino]

Make sure that everybody root for him like they did for him.

[Rich Davis]

So this is, though yes, sir.

That's Jalen Tyson sort of long jumping into the conversation to have his boys back. And Kevin.

Kevin Durant was funny, though. Kevin Durant tweeted, yo, be careful what you're saying, dog. He could trade you while he's still on the Lakers. Insinuating, yo, it's still LeBron's town. But I don't know when I. When I name random towns. Kavino or cities. Do you think there's like a one clear answer?

[Steve Covino]

I think that's generational. I think it's a generational thing. The Cleveland one's interesting though, because LeBron hasn't played there in years, but he's won there. He's from there, but he's not on the team. So that's. It's really odd. It is disrespectful to Donovan Mitchell. And like Danny g said, if LeBron were to go back and end his career there, it's all, it's all about LeBron again. It takes away from Mitchell being that guy.

[Rich Davis]

Well, Kavino, think of it this way. I'm not talking just the sport. You go to the city of Cleveland, Ohio, right. Their franchise quarterback that you thought was going to be the guy Deshaun Watson, sort of disgraced a little bit, right. Some off the field stuff and never panned out. So you can't say Miles Garrett. It's hard to be a defensive star on a losing football team and be the face of that city.

[Steve Covino]

Let me ask you this. Is it an athlete or a musician that owns the city who comes to mind?

[Rich Davis]

I mean, I think sometimes it's like.

[Steve Covino]

If I say Miami, do you think Mr. 305? I think Pitbull.

[Rich Davis]

I mean, it's not Tua.

[Steve Covino]

Right. Like someone from. Yeah, the Dolphins.

[Rich Davis]

There's no one on the heat right now. That's the face. The Dolphins aren't good enough to have a. Maybe be tyree kill. But not, you know, that's. He's not even going to be there.

[Steve Covino]

It's either going to be a musician or an athlete that. That sort of runs that.

[Rich Davis]

If I said Los Angeles, California, that's a tough one. Is it Shohei Ohtani City?

[Steve Covino]

I think it's Shohei's. Yeah, I mean, it's Shohei's league, so I think it's his city. And Shohei who second?

There's so many great players.

I don't know if he's earned that yet. Do you think so?

When I say earn that, I say that respectfully. You know what I mean? I'm not saying he needs to prove anything to anybody. I'm just saying as. As for the amount of time he's been.

Yeah. Not earned it yet on the Lakers. But as far as star attraction.

All right, now we're playing what ifs, but had Matthew Stafford one last week and took the Rams to a second super bowl, would we be saying Shohei then? Matthew Stafford?

[Steve Covino]

It came to mind for me.

It's still weird because we were without an NFL team for so many years in Los Angeles that the city is still splintered.

[Ilo]

It's a different sort of connection right now with both NFL teams and their stars than with Laker stars and Dodger stars.

[Rich Davis]

Now there's a great opportunity, Danny. The Vegas Knights. The Golden Knights in hockey. Hockey. No offense, there's so many great hockey fans, but the face will never be a hockey player for the most part. Right? I mean, like a Canadian city.

[Steve Covino]

Unless it's like, Wayne, you say Vegas. I think Chris Angel.

[Spotty]

I think I know where Rich is going with this.

[Steve Covino]

Yeah, I was saying, like, oh, the Blue Man Group.

[Rich Davis]

Yeah, that was. I was definitely gonna say Carrot Top.

[Steve Covino]

No, honestly. Wait, hold on. Before you give you a real answer. When Rich and I first started traveling as a show together in the early.

[Rich Davis]

2000S, it was a traveling circus.

[Steve Covino]

It really was. No, no, no. But Rich and I, we were traveling all over, city to city, all the time, broadcasting at big events. We would go to Vegas, and it was an entertainer named Danny Gans who owned Vegas. Rest in peace, because I think he's passed away since. But he was, like, voted entertainer of the Year, like, a million times. He had billboards. He was so locally Vegas famous.

[Rich Davis]

He had billboards every. I remember thinking, like.

[Steve Covino]

And Terry Fader. Terry Fader sort of stole or took over. I think that that reign. But get back to what you were saying.

[Rich Davis]

But I think while they wait for an NBA franchise, while they wait to officially have the Oakland Sacramento Athletics come there in a year or so, right? Until that all unfolds, Fernando Mendoza could own that city as far as a face of sports, because Vegas is a very, you know, the Vegas Strip.

[Steve Covino]

And I agree. I do. He took my storm.

They're going to be blaring this song inside the.

[Rich Davis]

Like, if he wanted to be. Want to be local guy, Danny, like, make an appearance at a restaurant or a club or do I know that's not his style, he's more of a subdued guy. But Fernando Mendoza could be, like, arguably one of the bigger faces of any city.

[Steve Covino]

Agreed.

Because of the lack of what else is going on in sports.

[Steve Covino]

He has that potential for sure. Imagine that in Las Vegas. He's the face. They really are trying to make it more family friendly.

[Rich Davis]

All right, let me give you one now, because over the years, if you're a northeast guy and you grew up in the Boston, New England, Vermont, Maine area. Okay.

[Steve Covino]

New England for years.

[Rich Davis]

Larry Bird when you're a kid, and maybe. Oh, maybe some. Some Roger Clemens and then Tom Brady. Tom Brady for the longest time.

[Steve Covino]

Right.

[Rich Davis]

Now that Tom Brady's out and that it. And you know, the Celtics won the NBA title a couple of years ago. The Red Sox. Baseball's big in the Northeast. You can't forget that. So, like, a guy.

[Steve Covino]

Big, Poppy or Roman Anthony is a guy that they love, because I believe he's from that area.

[Rich Davis]

So. But I'm saying, if you say Boston right now.

[Spotty]

Yeah.

[Rich Davis]

Is Boston right now up for grabs? Is it up for grabs? Like, is. Is it Tatum or Jalen Brown or. Or is it Drake? May.

I feel like I see Mike Rabel's face if he leads the Patriots to a Super bowl win.

[Steve Covino]

The first ever player to start a Super bowl and coach the super bowl franchise. So, yeah, people loving him. He's getting a lot of credit. But I think it might be one of those, like I said, those young Roman Anthony type of guys, they're like superstars in the making.

[Rich Davis]

Certain cities, I think the great point there, Rich, is certain cities like Vegas, like Boston are up for grabs.

Tisch is second in the Giants organizational structure behind president and CEO John Mara. Tisch also offered Epstein two tickets to his suite for a Giants game. ESPN reports the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks will go up for sale after Super Bowl 60. The Seahawks are presently owned by the estate of late former owner Paul Allen. The Pittsburgh Steelers hired Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham as their new defensive coordinator. The Baltimore Ravens are hiring Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle as their new offensive coordinator. Doyle did not have play calling duties with the Bears, but will with the Ravens, which is why he was allowed to change teams. Have you ever heard of of Secret mall Apartment? I didn't even know the concept of this. Here's the deal. Here's the deal. There's all these kids that are living secretly in a mall in Rhode island for years, and no one detects them. They've somehow within the mall, found a little place to live. So sounds like an interesting documentary. So check that out.
