Guaranteed Human Gigo presents a 30 second podcast between your podcast Today's story is shared by one of our listeners. It's called Betrayed by Bill. It was in that moment I caught who was staring back at me in betrayal or more like what, my insurance bill. With trembling hands, I grabbed my phone and switched to Geico, saving about $900 in the process and never to be betrayed again. Now that was bloody riveting.
A
It feels good when the story ends with savings. It feels good to Geico.

Hey, it's showtime. Go time, bro. Better plug in your headphones, turn on that microphone. Come on, Rich. It's showtime, bro. There he is. There he is.
C
When I say ho, you think Thundercats or Hacksaw Jim Duggan?
A
Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Because I recently seen him in that Hulk Hogan documentary. He was crying, and it was so sad. So anyway, that's Rich Davis. I'm Steve Covino. It's Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio with Danny G. What up, Danny G?
C
Yo, look who it is.
A
Philly Sam. Philly Sam.
C
Big Apple Sam. I thought you were LA Sam. I thought you were Iowa Sam. And now you got a Flyers jersey on.
F
You're the first person today to even say, hey, Flyers jersey.
D
Cool.
C
Oh, yeah.
F
You didn't even say cool. I just put that in there.
C
I'm the only one that acknowledges Sam. How you doing, bud?
A
I'm good, thanks. Sammy was in Egypt's land. Let my Sammy go. Of course Dan Beyer is here. He's got your updates. He's the guy. We got old school and 50 hits. We throw it back every Thursday. That's your chance to really get involved. Put it this way, it involved. It involves toys you never got growing up. We'll explain why, and we're gonna expand beyond toys. Just things you always wanted and somehow never got. Plus show and tell. If you want to see what I brought in and you can guess what it is, we'll give you a prize.
G
Wait, I gotta stop you really quick. Oh, did Rich bring something?
A
Oh, my God.
C
Did I bring something?
A
You better.
H
Rosa.
C
Did I bring something?
A
I reminded you was show and tell
C
Thursday that I bring something too.
G
I texted rich at 7am with a something.
A
Did.
C
Can I bring some?
A
We're gonna find out. Oh, man.
G
Oh, that means he's gonna run to his car during the break.
A
Yeah, he's like, oh, I brought an air freshener.
C
Oh, you'll see. You'll see.
A
It's a little tree. So anyway, guys, perhaps we'll see if you want to play along at home. YouTube streaming live at Covino Enrich FSR. Covino Enrich FSR. Let's just say for now, I'm gonna give you a hint of what mine is. It's a great moment in Mexican history. And I brought it in because, hey, we're heading into the big fiesta week next week, man.
C
Cinco de Mayo Y may the fourth be with you next week. So, hey, good one.
A
Get your gritos ready and let's close out April Strong. All right, let's have some fun. Let's start this show. Begin when when we.
C
When we go over old school later, things you wanted or didn't get as a kid, can we include things like appetizers at restaurants?
A
Sure. We have some at home. Richie.
C
And when your dad would pretend he couldn't find a dollar or so when the ice cream man was coming by.
A
Oh, that is true, man. Parents always got real cheap when the ice cream man came.
G
So we have some vanilla ice cream in the freezer.
A
I got some briars in the fridge.
C
That doesn't count.
A
Come on. All right, so we'll reminisce some here. We do it every Thursday on the show, but right now it's something that Rich. I gotta give Rich the credit. Rich is titling. We lost the plot. America and Canada. We lost the plot.
C
The plot. We've gone too far. There was a story we even joked about a couple days ago where some bearded.
A
But the key is we choked about.
C
Yeah, a couple days ago, we joked and made fun of this bearded jabroni that stole a ball from a little girl in the stands at a Guardians Rays game.
A
It went very viral.
C
We made fun of him. He deserved to be made fun of. But get. But guess what we did after that?
A
Did we? Do we encourage drunk people? Do we have to take accountability? No, no, no, no, no, no.
C
And I'll tell you why.
A
Were we holding the pitchforks? Get up. Are we the ones holding the torches up?
C
Here's what happens in 2026. And this is where, like I said, we lost the plot when someone does some dumb stuff. Oh, my goodness. We as a. People love to jump on them. And I'm cool with that. Make fun of someone when they do something dumb. But then you know what? You leave them alone and you move on to the next stupid person. I think we've gone to a point now where if someone does something dumb, we don't need to find out where they work. We don't need to find their family members on social media. We don't need to go find out where they live.
A
You don't need to camp outside their house.
G
You're talking about a minor offense, right, Rich? Because like a. Say, a racist. Karen. I mean, people get her fired from her job usually.
C
Yeah. I mean, there's a. There's a line where it's like, all
A
right, yeah, there's a level of offense.
C
That person deserves it. But, you know, if some guy or woman just does something dumb. Yeah, let him be.
A
Yeah.
C
You can make fun of him, mock him for a little bit on social media, but I think this Culture of tracking someone down. There are sleuths that they get off on finding out their name. And I found out where they work. Oh, now I got their address. And then they start posting stuff and these people get harassed. This poor schlub, this bearded buffoon, probably a swell fella, he had to go on the local news and be like, hey, I'm sorry to the community. Just take a listen to this guy. He had to go on the local Fox affiliate.
I
I want to just put out an apology and just say, I'm sorry. I'm sorry to the family, I'm sorry to the parents, the little girl, her brother. I'm so utterly sorry for everything that's transpired. Like you said, it was a heat of the moment thing. I made a really bad decision, a lot of bad decisions. And I'm paying for it online. And I understand the backlash. I understand everything that everyone has said to me. But there was no mal intent and I did give it back to her.
J
We have some sound from her and
A
she wants to say something to you right now.
C
Hi, Max, thanks for giving us the ball back. We forgive you for it.
A
We know the Internet has been going wild over this. We hope they, they forgive you.
C
This 11 year old girl has to come to his defense.
A
His name is Max, by the way, was he ball maxing or what? What was going on?
C
Well, apparently our video guy spot said the word is doxing.
A
When you doxing is when you like search down, research someone and try to ruin their lives.
C
Well, that.
A
Collecting all the information, where they work, who they're related to, that's doxxing. So yeah, we've taken doxxing to too far. And yeah, it doesn't excuse Max of his wrongdoings. Max is a bonehead, we all know that.
C
But a bonehead that you can bust
A
his chops and then move along, that's, that's really it. We're losing the plot, as Rich said, in the sense that it's fun to make fun. And we did a good job of laughing at his expense and calling him out and saying what a dope and bonehead he is. And you know, people like that are the worst. But that's the end of it. It's all in good fun and good natured. We. When you start trying to ruin someone's life, that's when it's gone too far.
C
Yeah. Know what it's like, it's too much. We gotta find out where he works. Why?
A
Now you're harassing that guy and you're, by the way, and now you're worse than he is. I could say you're no better, but you're actually worse than he is. If you're taking it the steps where you're now, you know, sending all these evil messages and you're putting his public information out there or you're making threats, you're way worse than the guy that had a bad moment.
C
Can I tell you, I think we're seeing this on full display, even with Diana Rossini and Mike Rabel. Listen, at worst, what are they guilty of? Cheating? Maybe? Allegedly. Do they. Does Mike Vrabel need to be followed through an airport by like, dopes on their phones? Like, hey, Coach Rabel, what do you have to say? What do you have to say? Trying to get Internet popular for a second? I just think we are. We gotta cool it. As my dad would say in the 80s, eh, cool it.
A
You know, cool it. Ralph Tres van in the 80s.
C
You gotta cool it.
A
Cool it now, man. New Edition style. People need to relax. People need to get a grip. Aerosmith style. Get a grip. Another good one. Get a grip.
C
Get a grip.
A
No, seriously, take a chill pill, bro. No. We are losing the plot, Rich. As the kiddos say, make fun, have fun. In fact, have fun making fun. There's nothing that brings me more joy than making fun of somebody. It's the best. It's a. It's a pastime. It's something we grew up doing. In fact, I'm from Union, New Jersey. It's what we live to do. It's what my family does best. I'm pretty sure people's great show.
C
Your favorite hobby is making fun of me every day.
A
It's one of my favorite things to do, Rich. I'm not going to lie. But you know why, though? Because you're a good sport. But that's where it ends. When it starts getting evil and you're ruining lives. Doxing as. As it's called. You are the loser. You are the pathetic one.
C
Even when. Better than that. Even when someone's doing something wrong. Unless an old school Karen, like Danny said, if she's being racist or inappropriate, that's one thing.
A
Yeah, some people need to go.
C
There are people that just do something.
A
This guy had a moment.
C
Sometimes someone's just rude and it's like, yep, they had a moment. Impulsive.
F
He said, hit of the moment.
C
You don't need.
A
I believe that.
C
You don't need to harass everyone.
F
When you harass someone, you're showing your intent. Like you thought about it. You're maliciously. Like, I'm gonna plan this out. You premeditated, Sam.
C
We're almost a year away from the anniversary. That shows how much time is flying.
A
People are the worst.
C
There's something that happened last year, and don't get me wrong, we all got a kick out of it. The memes, the AI, the Photoshops, all hilarious. But that couple that was caught cheating at the Coldplay concert, did they need that national attention? Was hugging someone from behind. That's not your spouse. And was that worth.
A
It's also interesting to see why stories like that or Rabel Rossini get so much coverage and so much aggression and so much doxing. And then stories like Klay Thompson, like, everyone's like, yeah, whatever, Megan Thee, Stallion, he cheated. Ah, man. Wow. Okay. Anyway, you know, other stories don't get as much coverage. That's also interesting in itself. And I'm trying. I'm not trying to perpetuate, you know, anyone to start harassing Klay Thompson now. But, you know, it's interesting to see, because they didn't deserve all that. Who care? Who are they, by the way? Like, why would I care that much about him? Because the dude was. Or they were CEOs of a company. I don't know.
C
Well, so I guess our point here, and we can move on, is that we've gone too far. And the fact that, I mean, I know it's a local story, you can say maybe it ends now, but the fact that they tracked this guy down.
A
When are you happy, Rich? When someone jumps off a bridge. That's the thing. Well, it's like that. Do you want blood on your hands? Do you want to be responsible? Because you're the one that pushed him over the edge because they couldn't take the harassment anymore.
C
So let's say you.
A
You're harassing. In my opinion, you're breaking the law at that point.
C
So let's say you bother someone on social media enough. Let's say it's. It's some reality star or something, or
A
an athlete who had a bad moment. You know, how many superstars because they lost the game or they made an error or they blew the game. They just, like, have to live with that in the world of social media. Like, it's one thing if you're Bill Buckner, but imagine being that today. Or Don, remember the classic story of. Of Donny Moore, the baseball player? Yeah. Killed himself because he let up a big home run. Like, if you do that today, people don't stop. Until what? When are you satisfied?
C
I'LL give you one. I don't know much about it. It's not my world. You know what? Believe it or not, you know who might? Dan Beyer. It's one of his guilty pleasures. Vanderpump and Housewives in that world, right, D.B.
K
yeah, not so much Vanderpump, but Housewives franchise.
C
Yeah, I was gonna say. I. All I would see is this Tom Sandoval guy.
A
Oh, yeah.
C
Who was, like, cheating. And he was sort of.
A
You mean Scandalval?
C
And I'm thinking to myself, like, I'm sure he leans into it because, you know, like, that's his. They survive on. On Drama and TMZ headlines. But there came a point where everyone involved in that, I felt like they all look sad, like, dude cheated. Do you know how many people cheat and do dumb things? Like, we all do dumb things. There was an episode of south park years ago where it shows how we love to build someone up and then break them down. And the whole gimmick of the south park was then what? You want that person to kill themselves? And then what? You move on to the next person.
A
That's what I'm saying. And I think people need to keep that in mind. What if you're the catalyst for something terrible now you're even. You're way worse to me. You should be in jail for harassing people. And you know what? Unfortunately, we see it, you know, not every joke we tell is gonna slay DB But I don't need to hear all this, you know, negative stuff about it all the time either. What's interesting, you're worse than my joke
K
about what Rich's explanation or example that he used was that whole show felt like it was based on cheating, but that was the one that went crazy. And he cheated on the girl that he was with, that he got with. I think, because he cheated before. But to your point, like, these things happen everywhere, and some of them also just take off like absolute wildfire. Not that people are busted at concerts every time, but your point of different situations of who's talking about what, even within that realm, that one took off and the other ones were just kind of a part of the theme.
C
And I don't remember all the details, but I do remember the Bachelor. There was a year when Chris Harrison got fired. There was some girl that went to an antebellum ball when she was in college.
A
Oh, yeah.
C
And had no clue that it had a bad history in the South. Right. She had to go on TV and be like, I'm working on myself.
J
And all this.
C
And it's like, and like the world went after this girl and like, what. Would you, would you be happy if she jumped off a bridge like you
A
said to educate yourself, Rich.
C
Educating.
F
How many, how many times do you see someone on a message board? People say awful things each other, like, go kill yourself. And it's like, do you actually mean that?
A
Exactly. And there's people who are really bitter
F
and angry and resentful.
A
It's the worst. And here's. And Danny G. Already made this point. But the punishment has to match the crime. When everyone is laughing about the story and calling him a bonehead. Oh, he's the worst. That's funny. When you start threatening the dude, even wanting to get him fired. That's too far. Yeah.
C
And the fact that the 11 year, the 11 year old girl had to go on the news and be like, we forgave him. You guys should too.
A
I hate to say these people, these people, I don't know who they are, but there's a lot of them. Trolls, just losers, man. They really are losers.
C
Waiting. I'll bring up the Diana Rossini variable thing one last time because I've always felt, you know, unfortunate for their circumstance. What do. What would make people happy is the end result. Do people want to be like, and there it is. Her husband filed for divorce. Like, is that what you want? Like, Rabel. They're like, there he is picking out pajamas or something at the airport.
A
That's the story.
C
What do you want?
A
Accountability? People want to hear the side of the story. Right?
C
But I'm saying, what do you. Will it make fans and people happy if all of a sudden it's like, there it is.
A
She filed for divorce, has a nervous breakdown. Is that when you're happy? Like, it's got to stop.
C
Like, Mike Vrabel had a mental breakdown and had a quit.
A
And here's why.
C
Like, is that what you want?
A
It can happen to anybod.
C
Is that what you want?
A
That's the other thing. Like you could get caught up in the moment or say something stupid or. And be part of the scandalous story. Now what? So I think, I think accountability is the best way to squash it. So I understand why this dude did it. But punishment not matching the crime. Stop the doxing, stop ruining lives. It's fun to make fun, but it's not fun when people are, are pushing things too far.
C
Question for you. Let me ask you. And then we'll move on to the NBA. Some good NBA last night. The Lakers were close, Danny. They were Close. There was a moment in that game where I'll get to in a second where there are a couple offensive rebounds. I'm like, come on, make the shot. You were then 5. Anyway. I do wonder when. When people will be happy. And if you were that guy in 20, 26, the ball guy, the ball
A
guy, the ball maxer, would you feel
C
the urge to go on tv, to apologize, to just to get it off your chest? Or would you be like, no, I'm not addressing this and it'll go away? Or do you feel like nowadays this guy made the proactive move, like, all right, I'll go. On the local news.
A
I kind of think he did it to squash it. It's unfortunate. So he might have had to because he also probably felt so bad, like, I'm not that guy that would steal from a girl, and people need to know that. So, yeah, if that was. If that was me, let's say I got caught up in the moment like he did. Not even realizing it came to me.
C
I went to get it.
A
I didn't realize there was a little kid there. Happened all so fast.
C
I mean, you are the guy that said you would take the ball.
A
No, no, no. If I got it, I said no. I said I wouldn't give it to a kid just because I got it. I think you might have to explain yourself just to get people off your back. You know, he didn't have to, but I think it was a good move. It's just sad to see how far we take things. But the coward behavior, man, we really got to get to a point. Can Spencer Pratt fix this somehow? If he. If he's. If he's mayor, can we.
G
Oh, he has all the answers.
A
Yeah. Can he fix the Internet where people are held accountable for the things that they do and say on social media and online? I think, like, there's too many cowards in today's world and are pushing people over the edge, and that's. That's the problem. Yeah. But anyway, make fun. Stop ruining lives.
C
They got the mother effing end. All right. Hey. Coming up, we are going to go old school today. I love it every Thursday. And Denny G, there's a really good. Really good throwback, and it has to do with toys. And like you said, things your parents wouldn't. Wouldn't give in on that you really wanted as a kid. We'll go old school. Plus, we're going to talk Lakers next.
A
Shaquille o', Neal, hero ball. That's what we're talking about. Hero ball.
C
Shaquille o'. Neal. I also want to know how Lakers fans feel about.
G
Honestly, I don't even understand what Shaq's talking about.
A
I mean, hero ball when, when one
C
of your legends like that would be like Camino, Derek Jeter's like, yeah, I know I am. I'm hating the Yankees. Like, do you feel weird even the check saying I'm hating the Lakers right now.
A
Fighting word.
G
Ever since he put that Celtics jersey on. He's not one of our legends.
A
Yeah.
C
So we're going to talk some Lakers, we'll talk some NBA playoffs and a bunch more next right here, Kavino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio now.

GIGO presents a 30 second podcast between your podcasts. Today's story is shared by one of our listeners. It's called Betrayed by Bill. It was in that moment I caught who was staring back at me in betrayal or more like what, my insurance bill. With trembling hands, I grabbed my phone and switched to Geico, saving about $900 in the process and never to be betrayed again. Now that was bloody riveting.
A

Cool it.
A
Arguably the greatest boy band that ever was. When you think about their impact and how they spawned off and who came out of New Edition. It's debated on that new documentary, boy band. What's it called? Boy Band Confidential on HBO Max. Oh, New Edition. Cool it now. That's what everybody needs to do. Cool it now. When it comes to all the online harassing. What a bunch of losers. Honestly, I've had enough of it.
C
I really have a bunch of losers talking about those people or the Mets?
A
Oh, both. Yeah. So it's fun to make fun of people, but when it comes to ruining their lives, like, when's enough enough? And the reason we brought it up is because the dude, the bearded buffoon. And we admit he deserves some clowning.
C
Clowning. That's the key.
A
That bearded dunce, he missed them and we gave him a good razzin.
C
Razzle dazzle, little bust into the chops.
A
And he apologized, guff. For stealing the ball from the little girl. Now leave him alone.
C
Yeah, you don't need to track down his job. No one needs to try to get him fired or stand outside his house or bother his family on social media. Like, he made a mistake. I think we've lost the plot. You know what? It's sort of like, I'll give you an analogy. We all have friends that are good at busting huevos.
A
Everybody wants to pounce and grab their pitchforks. For real. Everyone's. Everyone wants to be like, let's get them.
C
Everyone has friends that are good pranksters. They're good at busting. Well, like I said, huevos. They're good at a good prank. And then you have that one friend that takes it too far and he, like, talks about your girlfriend. Or like, when you're drunk, he draws on you with a Sharpie and you're like, dude, we don't. What are you doing?
A
He brings your mama's combat boots into the conversation.
C
There's that one buddy we all know in college or, you know, back in the day that took it too far and you're like, what? You don't know how to do it? Like, some people don't know how to
A
do it, it's not personal. It's supposed to be fun.
C
Yeah.
A
You know, so that's what's happening. Thanks to social media, or as they're calling it now, rich interest media. It's not even social media anymore. Are you going there to communicate or connect with anybody? Do you even see your buddies posts? It's interest media is what they think you're interested in. So thanks to interest media, that's all we see is who told you that?
C
Gary Vee is called interest media.
A
And that's really what's going on. And it seems like we're all interested in. In a good salacious story and who we need to hate next. Okay. So speaking of who we need to hate next, it might be Shaquille o'. Neal.
C
Oh, well, we're going to get to that. We're going to get to that. But let me remind you, speaking of Shaquille o', Neal, we are live from the Fox Sports Radio studio. And the NBA playoffs are here in DraftKings. Sportsbook is the official sports betting partner of the NBA right now. Use our code CR show to claim your special offerings at DraftKings. Again, that's code CR show at DraftKings. The Crown is yours.
A
I thought our code was up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, BA Select Star.
C
I thought it was 007373735963.
A
No, no, no. That's CR Show. CR Show. All right. Well, speaking of reminiscing and throwing it back, we got old school and 50 hits coming up. It involves old school, things you never got. We'll explain why, but let's take a quick phone call. 877-99-FOX.
C
What's up? Who do we got?
G
Danny, Mark in Carson, Nevada wants to weigh in.
A
Hey, Mark.
C
What's up, buddy?
A
Hey, guys. That topic you were just talking about. Yeah. Here last week. I don't know. You guys know Storage Wars?
C
Yeah.
A
Daryl Sheet. Yep. Committed himself and he was being bullied constantly online. Yeah, that's a sad, sad story. And a lot of people feel like they know that guy because that you watch that show on rerun constantly. Just let it play. I watch that show all the time. Really sad. And yeah. What, you're not happy until that happens?
C
Jeez.
A
So leave that guy alone. And that doesn't mean. I want to make it clear we're not taking some righteous stance. We love making fun of people more than anyone. The key word is fun.
G
Just know when to say when.
A
Yep.
C
Honestly, Danny, it's like the person that has One too many drinks. Should have left well enough alone.
A
Well, hope you had a Pistons, Cavs, Rockets sort of night. We got some great games tonight.
G
You thought the Cavs are going to blow it there at the end, didn't you?
A
Oh, I did, I did. You also thought that the Lakers maybe had a shot, and I think they definitely would have had a shot if they turned it up sooner.
G
Both the Lakers and the Magic turned it on late in their games. There were some similarities there where both couldn't close it out.
C
You know, I was.
A
Stamina issue, though, is that. Honestly, is that because sometimes the.
C
Drop the ball don't. The shot don't drop. Like the Lakers. The Lakers stole the ball down by five. Remember at the end, like, there was a little Turnover. Rebound.
G
When LeBron drove and hit that layup, it was a three point game at that point.
C
Then it went back to five, and then the Lakers had the ball with like a minute, under a minute, had the ball down by five and they had a breakaway and they put LeBron shot of three, I think it was rebound, Austin Reaves three. Offensive rebound. There was. There was opportunities, yeah, they had their chances, but sometimes the ball doesn't drop and I don't know, like stamina, you know, just bad luck.
A
Like, you know, I was rationalizing watching. I'm like, well, maybe that's how it's like. Like a. Like a marathon, right? You got to pace yourself. Like, hey, that's just how the Lakers are pacing themselves. And they're going to turn it on at the end of the game. And they did. And it's noticeable. And some people like that and some people don't. And it seems like Shaquille o', Neal, if you missed it, here's what he said about the Lakers game last night.
J
I hate watching the Lakers play sometime because towards the end they try to play the hero ball. Okay, we're going to start playing hard now, and if we hit this three at the time of the game, that's not going to work. LeBron knows that and understand that. These young guys need to understand that. The crowd was flat. They played flat. They played with no intensity. They didn't have focus. And I'm glad the Rockets beat them. We know what needs to be done to win the championship. LeBron knows that. I'm surprised that they didn't come out with that, you know, effort and intensity. And I'm super disappointed in the Lakers tonight.
A
And they say that a hero could save us. Hero ball last night. Hero comes along, we don't need Another hero dude. Now I feel like I, I, I feel what he's saying. I think I, I was watching the same thing and I did feel that way, but it has to sting a little bit. Danny G. When a former Laker says he hates watching the Lakers play and
G
he wanted the rest, look, some of that was truthful hero ball, I don't know, because LeBron was driving to the rack there at the end of the game. Stamina, I think, is a bigger issue here.
A
If you tell me it's that, then I, then I'm more cool with what I saw.
G
He looked gassed. Half the team looked gassed at the end of that game. Now, you could say it's just because they have an older roster. I think the average age for them is 32. Average age for the Rockets is like 23 or something like that. So you got an older roster versus a younger roster.
A
Well, that's easier to digest. Because if you think they're just hot dogging it for most of the game and then turn it on, yeah, that's not what you want. You do wonder where the intensity is. If you just acknowledge like, nah, man, they're just playing like that because they're older, then it's easier to understand.
G
Yeah, but they did look, I guess Austin chucking up that bad three at the end, I could see what Shaq's saying maybe about that. But Austin Reeves was trying to dust that rough DB, and I both talked about that yesterday. He was 4 of 16. That's not going to cut it, but he's got to get back into the flow of things. He missed just over four weeks of play. LeBron had eight assists in the first quarter of game one of this series, and what, he finished with 13 in that game. And I remember the narrative at that point. And into game two, oh, my God, they're swinging the ball around. This, this team passes the ball great. And they do. When you play hero ball, you don't pass well. That's when somebody's ball dominant.
C
I think hero ball, when I hear that, I think like college hoops, where teams down by like, you know, three
G
and the same guy, one guy tries to take over.
A
Now they force their backs against the wall. They take it to Houston, and now they got a win, dude. I think it's tougher. But on the flip side, the longer they're in the series, the better chance Luca could be in the next series if they want to continue playing.
G
A really strange feeling right now, being a Lakers fan, because on one hand, you never want to see your team lose. But on the other hand, you know what's waiting for you on the other side if you win this series. I think both these teams are in trouble if they advance because we know how good Oklahoma City is. I think they averaged beating the Lakers by 29 points in each of their matchups this past season. So you need Luca to have any sort of chance against the Thunder.
A
Yeah, can.
C
You know, it's like when you beat King Hippo and you're like, well, I'm just pissed in. Honda's next. And you're like, great, Tiger. You know, I don't know what's up,
K
DB the funny thing about Austin Reeves and we talked about yesterday was the Lakers, like, easing him in and then he goes and plays 34 minutes. Yeah, he comes off the bench, so I always love that he's going to come off the bench but play 34 minutes in the game. Yeah, you missed the first six, and then you get, you know, six off, eight off for the rest of the game. But there was no easing in except for the first six minutes of the game.
C
Dare I say for fans of some of these teams, we could, if all goes accordingly, we can have three NBA game sevens on Sunday. And Danny, for your blood pressure, I hope that's not the case. But you could very well have Raptors, Cavs, Rockets, Lakers and Magic Pistons all game sevens on Sunday, which would be a hell of a plan if you just plan on sitting on your ass all day on Sunday, get a little coffee, a little breakfast, sandwich, and then have three game sevens.
G
These playoffs have been awesome so far. Almost two weeks in and the 2026 NBA playoffs. 3.84 million viewers is what they're averaging right now. That's the best number since 1993.
A
The games have been great.
C
You know why, Danny? Because I think a lot of people. Kavino will disagree with this on most things, but I think a lot of people are like me.
A
I think a lot of people annoying.
C
Keep going.
A
I agree with that. Yeah, yeah, most people are annoying.
C
Most people are like me.
A
Most people fool themselves. I don't know. I know where you're going. Oh, hyped up for no reason.
C
Well, I mean, you can keep going, I'm sure, but I'm going to say most people are like me in that they realized in the last handful of years the NBA regular season holds such little weight and significance and the product isn't there. And that's a problem. But, like, we keep making that silly analogy of like, you know, vacation sex versus Like a random Wednesday at your house when you see what someone's capable of the NBA playoffs are delivering, where the casual NBA fan that watches highlights like me in the playoffs, you're locked in. It's a different game. It's you. There's no other sport where the postseason and the regular season, the juxtaposition, the difference, it's drastic to me.
A
People used to say that about baseball. Baseball somehow fixed that, I think. What's up, Sam?
F
So NBA playoff viewership usually does pretty well, but this year, actually, regular season viewership of the NBA is up a huge amount. I think it's because of NBC, abc, and then on Amazon Prime. But if you look at the regular season numbers, they're up. Like, I'm seeing 86% from last year, which is pretty impressive.
A
I'm surprised to hear that because as far like, I feel like the buzz doesn't match those stats. I didn't feel like the regular season buzz was all that.
K
I feel it's NBC getting back into it because we had weeknight games in prime time that we would see. We'd have double headers or for us on the west coast, we'd have the later game. The east coast would have the earlier game. I think that. I don't think that's the whole story, but I think that a reason why you would also see a positive uptick in it.
C
Primetime NBC is going to get ratings regardless. Like NFL Sunday Night Football is the highest rated show on television in general.
A
Maybe it's Round Ball Rock. Maybe it's just John Tesh is back. And that's why I'm giving credit to John.
C
That's probably all John Teshes people love.
A
People love that.
C
Oh, and maybe that really elaborate sit down with Mike Tirico and Michael Jordan. That was it.
A
The insight. Yeah.
C
But I think all those things combined. And think about it. The voice, the voices on NBC at night, like NBC does well in their primetime numbers. And if the NBA is part of that, it just, you know, it helps itself.
A
I want to throw this out there for fun because Shaq, I feel like Shaq took a bit of a. Bit of a low blow to the Lakers when he said he hates watching them play.
C
Play.
A
Like that is what he meant, I guess. Hero blow.
C
He said he's glad they lost and
A
he's glad they lost. Like, wow, that's tough. That really is tough. Based on hero.
C
You think LeBron texted him?
K
You mean that, bro?
A
Yeah, like, based on that, though. Based on hero ball. Does anybody have a hero story? They want to share. Like, that one time you got the chance to be a hero. Did you come through? Like, remember when Pee Wee Herman saw the. The pet store was on fire, and
C
he went running in stave all the snakes.
A
He saved all the snakes. And, like, were you faced with a situation where you could be a hero? Because I got one story, and it's a classic story I haven't told years.
C
Did you give someone like, that Heimlich at a restaurant or something? No, but that's.
A
That's. That's a great story, though. I was at a street fair. It was not a block party. It was like a farmer's market, but, like a big farmer's market in Studio City. Like, all the streets were shut down, and we had their little shops up and everything. Everyone's out there buying honeys and vegetables and fruits.
C
I was like, picture Kavino being like, oh, local honey.
A
Yeah. Little trinkets and bracelets and things they were selling. And it was a big, jumpy jump. And people who've been listening to us for years remember the story, but I haven't told it. This is my chance. And this jumpy jump right before my very eyes.
C
Hero.
A
It started collapsing on all these little kids.
C
They're like, ah.
F
It was a bouncy castle.
C
Yeah. And all of a sudden, it was
A
collapsing on all these kids. I was like, I went in there, dude. I did the. The army crawl inside. I was like, don't worry, guys. I got him. I started pulling kids by their socks and by their feet, throwing. Heaving them out to other parents. Kids were like, save me.
C
And I was grabbing them. I was heaving them out to the
A
other parents, and we were just doing
C
a chain of, like, getting these kids
A
out, and I led the whole force. And honestly, they're like, that guy right there, he's a hero.
C
And I was like, yeah, he ran away. And everyone's like, what's his name? I think it's Mario Lopez.
A
Yeah. You know what? And Mario Lopez got all the credit. It was me. And when I. When I told the story on, you know, our old show years ago, I pretended like it was on fire. It wasn't on fire, but it was collapsing on all these.
C
We can end that. It was on fire. Yeah.
A
And I saved them all, guys. But I did have that moment, bro. And I. I. I was proud of myself because I reacted. I reacted. Yeah, there you go. Yeah. But hey, I live to tell the story.
C
Hey, hero ball. Forget that. We have a hero in the studio.
A
That's right. Anyone else got a story they want to share. Hot shots.
C
You know what, let me think about it. Let's go to DB for an update. We are going to go old school. We'll talk some mlb. Well, we got a bunch of of stuff coming up.
K
What's up Denbigher Guys, right now in Cleveland, the Browns are having a moment where they have a groundbreaking ceremony for their new stadium that they're going to build. And Commissioner Roger Goodell has implied that Cleveland could be getting a NFL draft sometime in the near future. I think they were supposed to have one in the COVID year around that time, but Cleveland could be a site for an NFL draft. We'll get to some other NFL news later on, but you guys were talking NBA tonight in Atlanta, it's the Hawks and Knicks at 7 o' clock Eastern time, followed by the Celtics and 76ers tipping off at 8 Eastern. The other game Sixes in Minnesota, timberwolves and nuggets 9:30 Eastern Time. IO Da Sun Moo considered questionable for Minnesota because of a sore right calf. Amazon and Duke University have reached an agreement where three high profile men's basketball games will air exclusively on Prime Video next season that includes a date with national champion defending national champion Michigan on December 21st at Madison Square Garden. They'll also play UConn in Vegas in late November and Gonzaga in Detroit in February. Speaking of Detroit Tigers today, top the Braves 5 to 2. Orioles took game one of a doubleheader against the Astros 10 to 3, but Houston's returning the favor in game two. It's 113 Houston in the sixth inning. Phillies took game one of a double header against the Giants, winning 32 by scoring twice in the ninth. They're just underway at game two of that double dip. Cardinals doubled up the Pirates 10 to 5, brewers all over the Diamondbacks 13 to 1. Nationals beat your Mets, Rich. Sorry 5 to 4. While the Reds were 64 winners against the Rockies in the ninth inning. The A's have a 63 edge on the the Royals. Packers picked up the fifth year option on the contract of defensive end Lucas Van Ness. Veteran defensive end Calais Campbell is signing a one year deal with the Ravens. And in golf, Cadillac Championship Cam Young leads at 8 under Jordan Spieth. One shot back at 7 under par. Guys, back to you.
C
Thanks guys. Just around the room. Danny G puts the Mets timer on me. So this is only a 22nd one. What do you think the Mets record is over their last 20 games?
A
I think they only won last 20.
I
Yeah.
A
Team five and 15.
C
The Mets are three and 17.
A
Oh, you know, I was going to say that just sounded so bad.
C
But you understand how, like for a team with that payroll right below the Dodgers, right with The Yankees, like 3 and 17, that's like historically bad. That's so like it's, it's laughable now where it's almost like, how bad could it get? And there's my timer.
A
Thank you, Dan.
C
Look at the clock. All right, we got more Kavino and Rich. We go old school next right here on Fox Sports Radio.
A

And I brought something near and dear to me. It's from a legendary moment in Mexican history. As we approached a big fiesta next week.

Well, LeBron cut the Rockets lead down to three, but then Houston shut the door, James.
A
Bounce pass stolen.
C
Shepherd steals it. Take it down the lane. And a jam. LeBron turns it over at the top of the key. Reed Shepherd's third steal.
A
All right, the Rockets stay alive for a Game 6 in Houston on Friday. That call was courtesy of sports talk 7:90am Rockets radio network. And that was our tire rack play of the day.

C
Throwing it back for a Thursday.
A
Old school when 50 hits at 50. After C R give you the time capsule topic and we reminisce together.
C
Guys, am I missing the reference? We, Danny, you guys put together that great production. That guy that's like, we gotta go back. We gotta go back. Is that from a movie or something? I don't know. Or is that just a random thing that's from.
G
Well, I know it from a hip hop song. I don't know where it originally sounds
A
like Frankie Smith, you know, the whole double dutch bus sort of thing.
C
That guy.
A
And it also sounds like wolfman Jack. We gonna go back a little old school, but I think it's a little Frankie Smith. I that's what I think it is.
C
Little electric boogaloo used to take the double dutch bus to school every day. Right.
A
So anyway, I'm Kavino. That is rich. It's old school. When 50 hits, we got Iowa Sam doing some popping and locking. He's doing his breakdancing moves.
C
Philly Sam.
A
And I'm going off the dome like Harry Mack. What up, Harry Mack? You listening? He's the best freestyler in the game.
C
We gotta get that guy in the show.
A
Yeah, I'm going off the dome, and I think this is how the story goes. Danny G, fill in the blanks for me. On this day in 1952, does Mike, who runs this place, remember this or no?
C
He was in college.
A
Was he too old at this point?
G
Who?
C
Never heard of him.
A
Mike, who runs this place?
H
Never heard of.
A
On this day in 1952, it was the first time ever that they advertised a toy for children on television.
G
Yes, sir.
A
And that toy.
C
They advertised toys for adults on television?
A
No, but they weren't necessarily marketing to kids.
C
I know, I know. This is.
A
This is big, right? Like, even when they were playing back in the day, even when they were playing cartoons, they were still advertising to adults. They had cigarette ads during the Flintstones. Look it up on YouTube. It's wild. Bonnie, have a smoke. Oh, yeah, have a Winston, Bonnie.
C
Gee, Fred, Winston's a great. So this won't cause any lung damage?
A
Yeah, they were always marketing to adults. They started Marketing the Children 1952. What toy? Does anybody know the toy? Any guesses out there? First commercial targeted to children. First toy.
F
Wait, wait, don't reveal it.
A
Toy, first toy.
F
Was it the Erector set?
C
No, but can I give you a hint and maybe you'll get it? The hint is it's still around today, right? Still around today. But now you get the whole thing.
A
Let me guess.
C
Yeah.
A
Oh, wait, wait, wait.
F
So finish that last part.
C
Back then, they gave you parts, and you were supposed to use your own thing and involved the food.
A
Oh, never mind.
G
I'll give you. Give you it. Oh, you want to guess?
K
Tv Easy Bake Oven.
A
No. Good guess. That's a good one.
G
Here's a. I'm. I'm a married spud. I'm a married spud. I'm a married spud.
K
Mr. Potato Head.
A
There it is.
C
You know, back then. Back then. Vampire. They wanted you to use your own potato. You had.
A
Oh, really?
C
It was just the eyes, the mouth and everything. And they. They encourage you. Like, hey, grab one of the potatoes.
A
See? And you. When you look up the commercial, it's just the parts on a potato by Hasbro? I believe so. Yeah. 1952, on this day Mr. Potato Head became the first toy ever advertised on TV. Now, based on that, what were those things that you always wanted but you never got? Toys. But it could be more than toys.
C
Yeah, the things your parents resisted. You're like, come on Mom. Come on, dad. We'll reminisce a little bit on the anniversary of Mr. Potato Heads commercial. Hang tight. More kavito on Rich next I'm a marriage.
A
But I'm a marriage butt I'm a
