The money on the AFC title game is changing a little bit here. The Patriots were five and a half point favorites now down to four and a half against Fritzi's Broncos. The Rams are still getting two and a half against the Seahawks. 8773 DP. Show operator sitting by and that's Tyler. Good morning. If you're watching on Peacock, thank you for downloading the app. Speaking of the Broncos and the Patriots, little trash talk back and forth. Coach with the Broncos, player with the Patriots. We'll have that for you coming up. Not exactly. You know, it used to be real trash talking. I don't know if anybody has a bulletin board, by the way, in the locker room. Like that's bulletin board material. I don't know if they have one in the hallway. You walk by and you see if there's anything that said there. But we'll have that for you coming up as well. So the AFC NFC title games coming up this weekend. The Ravens got their coach replacing John Harbaugh with Jesse Minter, who was there for a few years under John harbaugh. And Mike McDaniel is going to be interviewing with the Buffalo Bills for what I'm told. He I thought he was signing with the Chargers as their oc, but I think he's interviewing today in Buffalo. This is the former Dolphins head coach. If you're a Dolphins fan, are you nervous that you would have Mike McDaniel staying in the division coaching Josh Allen in the Buffalo Bills? Or are you excited that Mike McDaniel is going to be going to Buffalo maybe and coaching Josh Allen? I think it's an interesting move if it happens because I think you got to if you're shaking things up you're getting rid of Sean McDermott, then really shake things up. And if you bring in Mike and I think he's a great offensive mind, he's not gonna have to work as hard with Josh Allen as he did with Tua, Tonga, Violoa. But it's just an interview because Mike turned down an opportunity or took his name out of the running for interview with the Browns, and we thought that he had agreed to a contract or was going to with the Chargers, which I thought that's a great pairing with Harbaugh. Now you get the opportunity to go into Buffalo. Now, if I'm Buffalo, and I've said this before, I interview everybody because I want your input. I want Mike McDaniel, from A Dolphin's perspective to tell me about my team. Can't lose. No harm. Tell me what you think. What did you try to do against Josh? What are we missing here? Who somebody might be better than what we think? It'd be great if he said Keon Coleman. You know, the guy I really like is Keon Coleman. So that's going to happen today. Also, this is the deadline for the College Football Playoff committee to decide if they're going to go to 16 teams or they're going to be staying at 12. I don't think there's going to be any ruling that they would go to 24. From what I've been told, and I've been telling you the Big Ten wants to go 16, 16, 16, and then you go to 24. That's what the Big Ten wants in writing. I don't know if everybody's on board with that. I think, you know, going to 16 is one thing, then going to 24 in three years. That's what I've been told the Big Ten is looking for. But if they can't decide, it stays at 12, at least for this upcoming year. All right, Seaton poll question for hour one is going to be what? We're gonna go with one from the Todd here. How do you feel when your team, quote, chirps before a game? Love it. Hate it. Sean. Sean Payton doing a little chirping. You know what? Let's, let's, let's play it here. Here's Sean Payton. Here's your trash talk. Here's your bulletin board material. Do you have a message for them this week with being the final game? Well, they're gonna have plenty of rest after this one two weeks. So that means that they're going to win the game and then they get an extra week and then they play the Super Bowl. Well, the Patriots responded as only they can. K. Sean Booty had this to say to Sean Payton's response. Two weeks for the rest of the soup, basically. Does that matter to you guys at all? Okay. What he was saying is that they can rest up, they'll be in Cancun. That's it. Don't know. You know, it's. It's not like the old days with Buddy Ryan or something, you know, Bounty Gator. And this is just a. Hey. Well, of course Sean Payton thinks they're going to win, and the Patriots think they're going to win. Okay. Not a big deal. Yes, Todd, it's not exactly Joe Namath calling that he's going to. They're going to upset the Colts in Super Bowl 3. But still, you know, for me, anyway, I'd rather, you know, not to make predictions or hint at predictions in any clever way of, like, we're winning this game and then we're. Wait. Okay, is this bulletin board material? Do you think that the Patriots and Mike Ray will go, hey, the Broncos think they're going to win the stretch. Yes, they. They think. Now that would be interesting if he said, boy, I don't know, maybe if we win this and then, you know, we get another week off. But they're a tough opponent. I got. I don't. I mean, we're desperate to get something to spice this up, I guess. But the fact that it went from five and a half to four and a half is kind of interesting here. And once again, Vegas isn't rooting for anybody. They don't pick sides. They're trying to get the most money and dropping it down a little bit. So you got some Bronco money here. Yes. Marvin, at this point in the season, do you need bulletin board material? You're trying to go to the super bowl, so who cares if Sean Payton says you have two weeks to rest up? I agree. Shouldn't you be already fired up even before he says that? This doesn't fire you up. Wow. The coach of the opposition thinks they're going to win the game and they'll get two weeks off. I hope he thinks they're going to win. By the way, Todd is apoplectic about this betting line. He just can't understand that now. Well, now it's four and a half. Do you feel a little better about your Broncos? A little bit, yeah. Cause I thought it would be more like three and a half. Maybe I'm all in too much on Stitty and what I've Read and heard about him. But five and a half in Denver, you would be favored if Bo Nix was playing by one and a half. Yeah, that's where I was. Or yes. Yeah. Seems about fair. Okay. Yeah. See, I think that's actually the problem, though, is that people are excited about what they've read and heard about Stitty because they haven't seen him play in a couple years. That's actually the whole issue. That's the whole, hey, I've read a lot about this guy. It sounds like he's going to be pretty good. It's. It's. It's almost as if we're going on folklore, like man city, man, when he was with the Patriots and didn't play. He's really bright when steady was with. You know, we start talking about these sightings of him, but they're practice. They're not. He's played in what, five games in his career? Started five games, hadn't played in a couple of years. Yes, Todd. So is Vegas themselves buying into the hype a little bit? What made it go from five and a half to four and a half all of a sudden? Like, wait a second, maybe five minutes is too much? No, that's the money. Yeah, No, I understand that, but I'm just saying in general, even just a regular, better, you know, taking the mafia out of it or whatever, or the people that crunch all the numbers, it's not the mafia, but it's interesting. I didn't go from five and a half to six and a half with the question mark that it's sitting. It went from five and a half to four and a half. So all of a sudden it's the same. Giving too many points. Do you understand how this works? I'm not a better. I. Vague idea. Yes. I don't even think you have a vague idea. It's money now. The money is coming in on Denver. So now they move to four and a half. But the over under is totally determined by Vegas number crunchers. Right? Yes, the opening line, but that can change as well. That with the money, the over under. How many times is this supposed to change? Are you going to be okay? Like, you were a mess this morning before we started the show, I thought there was disrespect for the Broncos defense to the fact that they're playing in Mile High. There's a quarterback who's not just a piece of garbage that just, you know, you get caught up in the word backup or Bo Nix isn't the one playing. And then it was Five and a half. I thought that was too hard. Granted. I thought three and a half, which is only a two point difference would be a lot more reasonable. But five and a half seemed like a lot and all of a sudden now it's four and a half and maybe it'll even be three and a half before kickoff. Slow down, slow down. You got a long time before kickoff. Okay, there is one time. I know but you got your Bronco gear on. Got my Carl Mecklenburg. I got the old school logo. You got your pajama pants on. You got your sweatbands. You got your hat on. You're ready to go. Blue underwear. And you know, often I may not wear underwear this time. Royal blue underwear. Yes, Seaton, I do love the sweatbands. I know. Like wristbands. I know. And I'm not sure I left the house without them. Typing. You know, my a hands are a little drippy. I went back in the house because oh man, my royal blue wristbands. I do think Todd has a good point. I just think he's delivering it the wrong way. People are putting a lot of just in that one quarterback move and forgetting about all of the other factors. It's not like Drake may necessarily is this proven force in the playoffs either. He's had six terrible quarters back to back to back to back to back. I think he's had eight turnovers in the last six quarters. It's very possible for it, you know, maybe not which quarterback wins the game, but which one doesn't lose the game. And Jared Stidham could be very capable of not losing the game and letting his, his defense win it. Well, you would think that Sean Payton would probably have a reduced workload for Jared Stidham, that he's not going to give him the Bonix playbook. I wouldn't think he said he's going to let him let it rip. Yeah, well Mike Vrabel is going to let Drake may let it rip and you know, so he hasn't. That's good. But he hadn't played well. He has not. He has not played well in the playoffs. His legs might be more important than his arm in this game against that Denver defense. But hey, Patriots played well. These are good defensive teams and when it was five and a half, I certainly like the Broncos and five and a half at home. You're just asking your quarterback just don't do anything crazy. Yeah. It's all, you don't have to try to be Caleb Williams or you know, Josh Allen. Don't, don't do anything like that. Just take what they give you. That'll be enough. And our defense. So Todd, I'm kind of. Well, I was at five and a half now. Four and a half. I don't know. At one point. Now you feel a little better about things. Well, I want you to feel a little better about things because you were. You're a sad boy this morning. I'm glad they're underdogs. I. I prefer them being in the underdog role. I just thought five and a half for whatever reason that I was like, wait. They got way too many other elements to that team other than, you know, as good as Bo Nicks is and Stidham's a question mark. Who cares? I do. Obviously. I'm very. I know. But who cares what people think and Vegas thinks? And all you need to care about is your team have at least one more point than the Patriots when it was 000 at the end of the fourth quarter. How good will it feel being a four and a half point underdog and you win the game and you're going to the Super Bowl? That is very fair. You beat the world. I don't know why I got caught up in the number, but I saw that five and a half. I'm like, we went from one and a half to five and a half deficit. It was like six point jump. Because we have a different quarterback. Okay. Because everyone's already writing the headlines of putting the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Who's New England going to play, the Rams or the Seahawks? We were at one point, we're just sitting around talking and Seaton looks at me, I look at him and we just started laughing. You listen to this dude because you were. You were just talking to yourself. Not to mention not understanding how betting works or how they come up with the points. But yeah, I said, hey, it's okay now it's only four and a half. Why even play the game then? At this point, I'm just gonna give the Patriots. By the way, Todd, you don't get those points. Okay? I don't. No. They don't give you four and a half to. I mean it. I would love to see that. The scoreboard where Broncos up four and a half. It doesn't sound like that. No, it does not. All right, Satan, what's the folk. Yeah, we're going with. How do you feel about your team chirping before a game? Love it or hate it? I hate it. I hate chirping before a game. Okay. I eat it. I don't know what chirping means anymore. You know, it's not like, you know, you're putting a bounty on people. It's just, hey. And you're gonna be in Cancun in two weeks. Wow. Now we're really gonna play hard. You know what? Cancun tourism should do the opposite of the I'm going to Disney World. They should get the losing and be like, hey, what are you doing? You're going to Cancun, though. That's not so bad, huh? So when they talk to Jared Stidham after the game and they say, hey, steady. Where are you going? And he says, cancun. Oh, be nice. I'm just joking. That's not necessary. You know what I'm gonna do if the Broncos lose? I'm gonna send you to Cancun. How's that? With the team to hang out with you. Yeah, that'd be fun. Yeah. Yeah. That's not what happens. But I'll hang out with Franklin and the receivers and Sutton. Great. I do think that your play should be to do the talking. And then afterwards, if you feel like you need to take a shot after you've already won, but before the game, that's why. Why it's okay. Once again. Come on, Sean. It's okay. Sean Payton thinks he's gonna win. That's not a headline. Yes, Marvin. You know, the Rams played a Seahawks this weekend, too. Oh, that's right. Wait, is there any trash talk in there now? Nothing juicy. I heard Matthew Stafford say my finger is fine. What does that mean? Take it a shot. Worry about my figure. Yeah, his finger, where he can hold it up as number one. That's. That's the only finger that matters here. All right, we're just getting started. Let me look up who the Seahawks head coach is to see if he said anything. Wow, that is mean spirited. Like easily one of the most anonymous coaches in the NFL this year. Well, it's because of the McDaniel and McDaniels and McDonald. McDermott, McDamit. Too many mics. Too many, too many, too many mix. Too many mix. All right, I'm going to take a break. Interesting. Interesting quote from Ben Roethlisberger, and I agree with him. I'll have that for you coming up. The ex gay who married an ex lesbian and traveled the world, telling my story of how I changed my sexuality from gay to straight. Once upon a time I was on 60 Minutes, Oprah, the front cover of Newsweek, and you might have heard my story, but you've never heard the real story. So join me as I peel back the layers and expose what happened to me in the midst of conversion therapy to shine a light on what the X Game movement does to people and the pain it continues to cause. I had lost £150 because if I couldn't control my sexuality, I was going to control my weight. It sounded like, and this is the word I used, a culture. And as I look too at the harm I did from within. Listen to Atonement, the John Paulk story on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, what's up y'? All? This is Questlove. Listen to these episodes of Dear Chelsea on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Play of the day. Coming up, Charles Barkley complains that he wants to work more. And Ben Roethlisberger has something interesting to say about what the Steelers should do at quarterback. But I'm going to expand that to what I think the Raiders should do. They're on the clock with the number one overall pick. By the way, if you're watching on Peacock, you just saw the bet with the back row. Seaton, Patriots, Fritzi Broncos. And we do the pie to the face. And Seaton said, can we come up with another way, you know, for the loser to pay off the bet? Seaton, you want to explain it? Yeah. So I have this idea where we do. Where calling it the caller is always right. So whichever team loses, say the Patriots lose. The Broncos beat the Patriots. That Monday, when callers call into the show, they might say, like, hey, Seaton, you know, the only reason that the Patriots were ever any good is because they cheated every year. I'd say, absolutely. You're so right about that. And they probably haven't gotten caught with half of the things that they're doing. Or if the Broncos lose, the Patriots end up winning. And a caller calls in and they might say something like, well, I think John Elway, anyway is like, the most overrated quarterback of all time. Todd would then have to support that argument and say, absolutely. It's crazy that nobody had seen just how overrated he is a quarterback anyway. Dan Marino is way better. Are you okay with this, Todd? My example would be they Got blown out 3920, 42, 10, 55, 10. What other quarterback would allow their team to get blown out worse and worse with each passing Super Bowl? Okay, so the caller is right. The caller is always right. Yeah. So we. Whoever loses has to agree with whatever callers call in and throw at them. Okay. Yeah, that's Monday, as we always do. Best and worst of the weekend. Ben Roethlisberger has a podcast, footballing with Ben Roethlisberger, and he was asked about what the Steelers should do at quarterback. I would not draft a quarterback for at least two to three years. That's just. Just my opinion. The issue that I see with a lot of teams is they get a quarterback and they try and build around that quarterback. I think it should be the other way around. I think you should build a team and put your quarterback in. Happened to me. There was a. I had a great football team. They plugged me in. We had a veteran group. It just. It works. It works better than trying to grab a quarterback and be, okay, we're going to build around this quarterback, because then it's going to take you four or five years to build around that quarterback. He's probably going to look like poo. Yeah. Up to it. And then you're like, is he really our guy? Is he not our guy? All right, so let's look at this on a bigger picture here. You know, if the Steelers want Ty Simpson or they, you know, they want to get somebody in the second or third round. Okay, but I understand what he's saying, because I'm going to apply this to the Raiders. The Raiders have a bad team. They have a terrible offensive line, one of the worst in the NFL. Yes. They'll try to improve upon that in the off season. But you're going to draft Fernando Mendoza, number one. And you're going to ask him to go in there and be great or be good or very good. And it won't happen overnight. It won't happen in that first year. Now, you do have Brock Bowers and Ashton Gentee. Okay, But I don't have an offensive line. And I always go back to Andrew Luck. Andrew Luck was generational. He was going to be the next John Elway. Can't miss until you go to an organization that got him but didn't improve their offensive line until they did improve their offensive line and Andrew Luck was done playing. He was tired of being beat up. I don't know if Fernando Mendoza is a great quarterback. I think he's a great story, but I wouldn't. Once again, I would not draft him. Number one. If I'm the Raiders, if I'm the Raiders, I say to the Arizona Cardinals, hey, you interested? How about the Colts if you don't want Danny Dimes, or. Or maybe you do have Danny Dimes. You knew. Bring in Fernando Mendoza, keep him in Indianapolis. But if I'm the Raiders, I need help. Why can't I trade down? How many GMs are fired or coaches fired because they passed on somebody. Usually you get fired because you went up and got somebody. You know, you. You said we got to go all in on Trey Lance, although nobody got fired with that Mitchell Trubisky, we're going to go up and get him. If I'm the Raiders, I trade it. I want to see what's out there. You don't have a coach yet. I mean, that's a tough situation for this kid to go into. He just officially declared for the NFL draft and the Raiders by all accounts are going to take him, but I would not. And it might be one of those where, man, you passed up on a generational talent. I don't think he's a generational talent. I think he's a great kid to have as the face of your franchise and maybe you can build around him. I mean, Indiana, let's not lose sight of this. Indiana had a great team, great team, balanced team, both sides of the ball. His numbers weren't great, but he was great when he needed to be. Is that enough to pin your hopes on that guy? With your team in that town? I wouldn't do it. Yeah, Paulie. And this really isn't about Mendoza or Sliding Mendoza. It's about the Raiders situation. Like you said, the offensive line is terrible. And if you can get Arizona or other to overpay now, you reset your team. With all those draft picks like Ben Roethlisberger saying, what's the draft order there? Vegas first, jets second, Arizona Cardinals third. All three knee quarterbacks. And the jets can do something stupid. Yeah. Like you could say to the jets, now, do you want Fernando Mendoza? Because we're now looking at Sam Darnold and saying Sam wasn't really the problem. The jets are the problem. I mean, Sam Darnold played very high level football last year. I know what happened in the postseason. And here he is maybe on the cusp of going to the Super Bowl. Sam Darnold wasn't the problem. But let's go back to that draft. Sam Darnold was the safe pick, that guy. You know what, maybe you don't have a high high, but you know this, the floor is, you know, not low. He, he's a good kid, makes the right decisions, comes from a big program. Yeah. He's going to help the Jets. Well, you don't have a team around him. It's not like Mark Sanchez when he went to the Jets. The jets, that was a good team, went to a couple of AFC title games. But I'm bringing Fernando Mendoza in there. This could be a situation that's similar to David Carr, Derek Carr's brother, when he went to the Texans. And I thought David Carr was a really talented quarterback and I still feel like he's a really talented quarterback. But he went to a terrible team. He got sacked more times than any other quarterback in history over the first three years and he was done. Now he resurfaced elsewhere, but he was done. He was not a franchise quarterback. I don't want to take, I don't want to kick in the shin as soon as you walk in. Yes, it does feel like you'd be asking Fernando Mendoza to do a hell of a lot. Yes. Right out of the gate. Yes. And yeah, maybe shoring up a bunch of other positions for a year or two and then bringing in a quarterback after that could make a lot of sense. There's, there's, you know, lots of talent in the draft. It might not all be quarterback talent, but there's certainly other sure things in there. Well, that's just it. You got Mendoza, who is the number one pick, but there, it's not a deep draft when it comes to quarterbacks here. I mean, if Arch Manning's available, okay. But even then I wouldn't put Arch Manning in that situation with the Raiders. And it could be generational. You could get a generational talent. I've just seen it too Many times where, where you reach for somebody or you expect them to be great and you throw them in there and then you go, hey, we got our franchise quarterback. He's getting the hell beat out of him. But we got our franchise quarterback. I want to go in knowing the first thing I have is a good offensive line. That's it. I got to have an offensive line. And if I don't, he's going to get in bad habits and that's not going to benefit anybody. But if I'm the Raiders, I know I'm on the clock. I would certainly, I would be shopping that number one overall pick. I would check with the Jets, I check with Arizona. You just want to get one, one team that overpays, or if you get two in a bidding war, then you get a treasure trove here. Now you got some draft picks, but it goes back to what I always say. You can have draft picks. Who is the one making those draft picks? That's, that's an important part of this as well. Look at what we got. Okay, but who's making the picks? The guy who made these other picks that kind of put us in this position. But Mendoza going in there, there's nothing he does that is electric. Nothing that he does. Where you go, well, you know what, he can run like Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson. He can get out of trouble. He can't. But we've seen him, you know, when he's in the pocket and he, you know, is going to be labeled as deceptively athletic. But it's, it's not enough for me to go, I got my quarterbacking position, I got it solved because I don't. I got to get my offensive line solved. And then, and I agree with what Ben Roethlisberger is saying. Ben, you know, we've had Jerome Bettis on and he said Ben was scared to death when he was in the huddle that first super bowl. And that's with all that veteran talent around him. He had an unbelievable team with Pittsburgh. But you're asking somebody to come in and play big time football and you can't lean on, hey, I, I got a great team surrounding me because you don't. And that, that's what would concern me. We tend to do it the other way around. It's get the quarterback and then build around him. I got a build around him. So when he comes in, it's a little bit softer landing. And you know, Vegas is not a soft landing at all. Yes, Marvin. And it doesn't help when you're Going to play the Chiefs, chargers and Broncos six times out of the year. Yeah. All right. 8 7, 7, 3 DP show email address dp@danpatrick.com Twitter handle it DP Show Once again, I don't know if anybody got fired because they didn't draft Patrick Mahomes. I know Sean Payton said we were going to draft him and then Kansas City swooped in. People pass on quarterbacks. It's when you, when you reach for a quarterback, that's when you can get fired. Chris in Syracuse. Good morning, Chris. What's on your mind? Hey, thanks, Dan. I got a couple of things to throw at you. And off of the Patriot Bronco game, you guys have been talking about one thing I'd like you to New England made it to the super bowl and won with a Mike Brable at head coach and a Drake May at quarterback. Maybe it would put to rest that tired question of who deserves credit for knowing that success, Belichick or Brady? And last night Steph Curry took an NBA record setting 10,000th career three point attempt and he's made over 42% of them. You wonder if the NBA Never had the three pointer and those 4,222 three pointers of his all just were ho hum long two pointers. How different his popularity, especially with young fans would have been. I mean, his legacy is cemented by all the titles, but the three point shot has always defined his superstardom. He doesn't have that career without the threes. I mean that's what he's known for. He changed the game and I think he had eight threes last night he had 37 points. They lost to Dallas. But if I'm a Golden State fan, this might be what you're saddled with for the final years of his contract. Now, Reggie Miller was on yesterday. We did talk about Giannis and will he get traded? Soon after we were done with our conversation, there was conversation about Giannis maybe going to Golden State. Now, I don't know what you're offering, but that's kind of been discussed for a while now. Maybe the last year and a half of could they come up with a trade that would placate Milwaukee here and what is, what does Golden State have to give up? So that would be something that I would keep an eye on and we will keep an eye on that, obviously with the honest. But could you see where they take one more swing here and try to get enough talent around Steph that they can make a run? Yes, Marvin, but even if they don't even if they're not competitive, you'll take the four rings that you got with Golden State. It's almost like Kobe in his last years, man. They're not all that great. Hey, but we'll take the five championships that he brought us to the city. Oh, yeah, but, you know, you're still greedy. Those fans don't show up. Go, you know what, man? Those four rings, they're like, no, we're in the moment here. We should be winning these games. We're not winning these games. We're not one of the favorites in the West. It. It's. It's hard to come to that realization where you're like, wait a minute, we're not that good. Steve Kerr may not be back with this team next year. Just saying. David in Ohio. Hi, David. Hey, Dan. Happy Meat Friday. Nobody. I've got a right Monday's headline today for you. He went to Jared. John Payton's Broncos get one step closer to the ring. Thank you. Okay. Thank you, David. Oh, you approved that. That's fun. I like that. He went to Jared. The ring. I like it. Cooper flag had 21 and 11 in the win. Steph ended up with 38 and eight three pointers. Still amazing. Still amazing that when. When you're around Steph and, you know, we saw him in Tahoe, and if I said to you and you didn't know what he did for a living, and I said, that guy is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA, you'd be like, wait, nobody guarding him, right? Because he. Now, he's a little bit bigger than what you think, a little bit taller than what you think. But his handle and his ability to get that ball off, that's what I would tell. If you're a coach and you're teaching younger kids, teach them to get the ball off quickly and not rush it, but get it off quickly. The last dribble should be a harder dribble to have. You get up if you can, you know, at that age, jump up a little bit. Jerry west did this better than anybody. Last dribble, boom, up. But to get that ball away quickly, is there a lot of people who can stand out there and just shoot? It doesn't mean anything. It's when you can get that ball away. By the way, this is also the anniversary when Klay Thompson had 37 in a quarter, which is still. That's one of those. And he took like, what, nine dribbles or something. Marvin, show him some love. It was 11. 11 dribbles. And he scored 37 in one quarter. That's a lot of points in a quarter on this day. Thank you, Seat. Thank you, John. That's not typical. No, it's not. Yes. And that sounds really impressive. And then people will say, yeah, but you played when Alex Ovechkin played and he has 917. Not apples to apples, but Sidney Crosby, great, great player. Wow, that's earth shattering. Cindy Crosby, great, great player. Yes. Todd, how does a goalie explain himself giving up in 37 seconds, three goals? What can you possibly tell the team and your coach? Klay Thompson made nine three pointers and scored 37 points in the third quarter. 37 in the quarter as the warriors beat the Kings, who holds the all time record for points. So is that. Is that the most.37 is the most by anybody in the history of the NBA in one quarter. It is. He was like you said, nine for nine from three, hit all 13 shots. And he broke the record that two guys had. One guy a little more old school, ABA NBA guy, another guy known for shooting, a little more modern. Who would like to guess? Those guys each had 33 points. Oh, okay. That was the old record. Okay, Marvin. George Gervin. George Gervin is correct. Wow. Blue, blue, blue. And then the other one is a modern day. Yeah, he retired maybe five Years ago. Five years ago. Known for shooting. Marvin Real. Known for almost exclusively shooting twos and threes, not just threes. Then he retired. Oh, twos and threes, like all over the place. More of a two point shooter than a three point shooter in studio. Guest in New York City, Carmelo Anthony. Carmelo Anthony is correct. He had 33 points against the Timberwolves back in 2008. Couple of phone calls in here. Update the poll results. Buddha in San Francisco. Hi, Buddha. Welcome back, buddy. Happy me Friday, boys. Remember Todd. Win or lose, we celebrate. Well, Dan, it's coming to us. And I'm rooting for Seattle and Denver Broncos, baby, this weekend. I can't wait for Sunday Funday. But Dan, I'm calling in today because I saw something that got my attention earlier this week and I wanted to ask you guys about it. This gift from Ole Miss Michael Assasso. He gave up his master spot and is joining Phil Mickelson and the Live Golf Tour. I was like. And like, then it got me thinking also, like, live golf should turn into a version of like the Savannah Bananas. I mean, they're, they're paid no matter what. What's the real competition? I mean, there's the money's not an issue. It would be actually way more entertaining, which would be like the value and interest here. And they have, they could have crazy holes and impossible trick shot attempt and any other crazy antics they want to come up with. And otherwise live golf's just going to remain not. Thank you, Buddha. Live tours still living. And I don't know what the end game is going to be. Are you going to get anybody else who's going to go there? Is anybody else going to come back? It might be just they kind of survive in spite of themselves. Well, the PGA Tour is going to survive it. Just what is, you know, you're going to make your money, but what else? And if that's all it is and you're fine with that, great. I would just think the competitor in you would want to be able to play in events in the States in front of people that, you know, become your fans, are already your fans. You get to play in the big events because you're playing. I don't know where the Live Tour is. Like this week, there's very little publicity. Yes, Paulie, they're in Saudi Arabia in early February. That's when their season starts. Then Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa. I mean, it's nice to be able to go on vacation, but after a while, you get tired of traveling. Doug In Iowa. Hi, Doug. What's on your mind? Good morning, Dan. Good morning. I would like to speak to Fritzi if possible. Doug would like to talk to you. Sure. Fritzi, I'm a lifelong Chiefs fan, so that means I hate the Broncos. And your neurotic acting today is quite funny and hilarious. So I hope that they lose this weekend by 10 just to double up the point spread and make yourself a little extra nervous. Have a good weekend, guys. And go Patriot. Little harsh on a Friday. If I was a Chiefs fan, I would hate Denver too. But according to my math and the new points. But it would be winning by nine because it went from five and a half to four and a half. Yeah, that'll be a nine point, not ten point. Keith and Chico. Hi, Keith. What's on your mind? Hey, Dan. Earlier you had that Ben Roethlisberger clip and it got me thinking about what the Raiders could do with that. Pick a team that might be already set up for his kind of situation in my mind would have been the Colts. They're kind of just missing their quarterback. Another team that might be able to throw some draft capital not as quite as good as Indianapolis. Maybe Miami, because that's his hometown. Thanks, Dan. Yeah, yeah, you got the 2A situation, but then I don't know what you're walking into with Miami. In fact, the. The new Dolphins gm. Do we have his comments? Marvin? I don't see it on my sheet here from yesterday, but I got it. Okay. Do you want to tell me who it is? It's John Eric Sullivan talking about tua. He came over from Green Bay. Whether it's two or anybody else, it's unfair and irresponsible for me to sit up here and talk about anything specific before I've talked to the player himself. Quarterback is the most important position in professional sports. You know, I also think it's the most dependent. These guys heard me say this in the interview process. We will evaluate that position like we evaluate every other position. And. And we will do what is best for this football team with two or anybody else to sit up here today and tell you that I have a great understanding of what we're going to do or which way we're going to go. That would be a lie because there's just too much work to do. There's too many conversations to be had at this point. Yeah, I don't know if you can make a decision on tua. I wouldn't. Let's see what you have. Got a new GM and a new coach and you're going in there. Let's take inventory here. We don't have to make any rash decisions here. Maybe have TUA for one more year. But, you know, going back to what I said about Ben Roethlisberger's comments, he's saying the Steelers shouldn't draft a quarterback in the first round. I don't think the Raiders should be drafting Fernando Mendoza, because I have to look at this and go, okay, is my team ready for this? Is he ready for this? How do we get our team ready? Devin McCourty, Football Night in America analyst, will join us coming up. Hour two on the way after this. This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human.
