Play of the Day Stat of the Day Notre Dame handled Georgia. They look more of an SEC team maybe than Georgia did last night. And it's a long time coming because Notre Dame has been roughed up when it comes to bowl games, but they look like they are a complete team. Did have a few too many penalties for my liking and Georgia just didn't have the skill level. And I can't remember the last time a Georgia team didn't have a true legitimate running back running game. Georgia gets handled 23 to 10. So the final four is set. Texas, Ohio State, Penn State and Notre Dame. Here's the early point spreads. According to DraftKings, Notre Dame is favored by one and a half versus Penn State. Ohio State is a six point favorite against Texas and peak. Speaking of point spreads, I don't know the last time we had A point spread of 20 points or more. But we have that right now. As of this morning, the Ravens are favored by 20 against the Cleveland Browns. Now, I go back to Super Bowl 3, when the Baltimore Colts were facing Joe Namath and the jets, and I think The Colts were 18 point favorites. And that's just because they dismissed the AFL. They didn't think the AFL could match up with the big bad NFL. And we know what happened with that huge upset here. But the Browns are getting 20 against the Ravens. That's sad. Like, you know when you talk about your franchise, your team, and you're like, all right, you know, we're okay. We're competitive. You know, maybe we're at a 13 and a half point. You're 20, 20 point underdog. Now the Chiefs are 10 and a half point underdogs against the Broncos. They're not playing anybody. And it's in Denver, and Denver has to win. But those are. The bears are getting 10 against the Packers. Last I looked, the Bears are still. The Bears, aren't they? Are they resting players for next season? I know the packers got to keep winning, but the Bears are getting 10. The Saints are getting 14 against the Buccaneers. Okay. Tampa has to win. The Saints are bad. But it felt like. It feels like every time these two teams get together, it's the team that's not supposed to win who wins. But the Saints are getting 14, the Bears getting 10, Chiefs getting 10 and a half. The Browns getting 20. Wow. And it's play in time for the NFL with the playoffs starting on Saturday. All right, Seaton poll question today. Phone calls always welcome. We'll get to those coming up in a little bit. Well, we might as well start with sort of an easier one. Who are you rooting for to win the national title? Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas? Okay. It's pretty easy rooting. Yeah. Who would you like to see win? I know that the TV executives at the mothership would like to have Ohio State versus Notre Dame. I do know that, but we got four heavyweights here. Yeah. Okay. It didn't go as scripted. You know, we. We thought, all right, these teams that have first round buys, well, they all lost. Heisman Trophy candidates. They're all out of here. The sec. I like how the SEC says, hey, we got one team. It's Texas. Yeah. The. The long standing member of the sec. Texas is the loneliness. The lone representative of the sec. You know, things have changed now. This might be an anomaly, and I think there'll be a lot of people go out on the ledge today and say, hey sec, everybody caught up with you? I'm not going to go there yet. But I will say the following. Nil and transfer portal have changed everything because it used to be these big programs which stockpile talent like Georgia would have three running backs ready to go much like the U had back in the day. Be like, oh, that guy got hurt. We're gonna bring in this guy. You can't do that anymore. Kids want to play, they want to get paid. They may not stay around. They may go try to get a, you know, a raise. Like Jaylen Milro in Alabama is going pro. I don't know if Alabama wanted him back, but he's going to go pro. It just things change and quickly and then you get a quarterback, you know, Oregon, are they going to be in the market for a quarterback? Notre Dame, will they bring in Quinn Huers? You know, Riley Leonard still playing, played well last night, but I mean, this is what's going on right now. Remember when you had Brian Kelly left Notre Dame because he wanted to go play and win national title, so he went to LSU while Marcus Freeman has Notre Dame in the final four. Things change and everything's above board now. Everybody can pay. All you need is one booster. You just one guy who says, yeah, I'll pony up just like smu. Speaking of the ponies, they ponied up and, you know, joined the acc, brought in talent and they made the playoffs. So things have changed. Georgia is not Georgia, Alabama's not Alabama. You know, they're still going to be very good, but it feels like I don't know if they've come down as much as the rest of college football has kind of come up a little bit here. Like Arizona State. Arizona State should have won that game against Texas. Went toe to toe with Texas and lived to tell about it. Alabama, I mean, Alabama got embarrassed this year, so you're even last night. I mean, that wasn't a true Georgia team. What you expect out of Kirby Smart? They just didn't have the skill position guys. Now if Carson Beck is playing quarterback, is it a different game? Yes, but I still think Notre Dame was the better team last night. Georgia was unbelievable last year with lad McConkey and they had, you know, Brock Bowers. I mean, that's different. Those are game changing players. They didn't have that. And you have these kids who are there and then do I want to go someplace else? Can I go someplace else? And that's what's happening here. You're not waiting around Now Arch Manning is an anomaly. He waited. Now he comes from the Manning family, so they have money. He waited. He's not waiting anymore. After this season, it'll be his job. But you know any other place where you've got quarterbacks who are going to two schools, three schools during their three or four years in college or five or six years of college. So it's, it's changing. Do I want to say that it's parody? I don't. But I do think you have more teams now knowing that you can get into the playoffs so you'll spend money to be able to make money to be able to get into the playoffs. Now there's more hope. Instead of, hey, they're just going to take SEC team and a Big Ten team or when we had the Pac 12. That's not the case anymore. Yes, it is funny, the timing of NIL and SEC struggling. As a college football source said to me last night, yeah, now that you can do everything above board, it's leveled the playing field now that everybody is just clearly paying everybody because it's legal to do. Yes. Yeah, that's funny. But I don't know if it's parody. I don't know if we've gotten there. I'd like to see a little more of a sample size here. I mean, Alabama was down this year. I don't think we expected it because it's Alabama, but they weren't a great football team. They at times were just an average team. They were non threatening. Yes, there's, they're, they're great brand names. These teams left, but are they the four best teams left? Yeah, like I'm, I don't go like I'm not a Penn State fan because of their coach, but still they have a good quarterback, they got a good edge rusher and they got a really good tight end. Like, you can't deny that. But we've never, like Penn State doesn't win these games, but they're winning these games this year and credit to them, because normally we go, hey, Penn State. And then it would be like, oh yeah, they're, they bowed out, they're playing in the Gator bowl. But here they are and they're going to go toe to toe with Notre Dame. I would not be surprised if Penn State won that game. Texas has been good. Ohio State, you know, they, they had the hiccup and they paid for it, but then they made Oregon pay for it. So I'm, I'm fine with where we are with the Final Four. I Think it's a pretty good representation here. I'm okay with it. Yes. All four teams with a buy eliminated. Yeah. What does that mean? They're going to change that though because you know, two of those teams, Arizona State and Boise State next year, like if they had, you know, the same resume, wouldn't get a first round buy. That'll change. But you know, I'm not surprised at any of that. You know, and then people say, oh, rust, you know, Oregon had rust. Or Arizona State had run. Boise State had. Right, okay. I mean, I don't know if you can say we don't want a first round buy. We'll give it back to you. But you know, to see Georgia and they weren't manhandled. I mean, Georgia still, there's some grown ass men on the defensive line, but Notre Dame, you know, they made plays. There were 60 seconds that changed the game at the end of the first half and the start of the second half, that was it. And we wondered, you know, how many points is enough? We thought maybe two touchdowns would be enough for Notre Dame to win that game. I just didn't think Georgia could score. And Notre Dame's got a really good defense. But here is Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, any thoughts on all four teams that had buys losing in the first round? Do you think that played a factor at all? I don't know. I love me. I look at the what Vegas says and it went kind of with what Vegas said, you know what I mean? Like at least in those two games, I guess ours was, I don't know, it was as close. But you know, two of those teams were better than the other teams, to be honest with you, you know, and that is what it is. That's more about the seeding process and where it is. But I'm not here to complain about anything. You know, given the opportunity, Notre Dame lost probably their best defensive player. So I don't know how that's an advantage. He's right about Vegas. This is what I keep telling you. College football, you've embraced gambling, so now embrace Vegas to help you seed these teams. Because Vegas has no emotion, they have no opinion. They're not part of a fan base. Their fan base is the university of money. That's all they care about. That's it. So next year I would embrace how the Vegas odds makers view these teams of who should be favored. And then that will get you the seating, that will get you home field advantage. A first round buy. That's the smart way to go. All right, we'll settle on a poll question. Phone calls always welcome. 877-3-DP show email address dpdanpatrick.com Twitter handle @DP Show Dan Orlovsky in an hour. Play of the day. Coming up, we'll settle on a poll question. The important NFL weekend, certainly for a couple of these teams that are still alive, the Dolphins and the Bengals, still alive in this situation. You know, the Tampa Atlanta situation, one of those teams wins the division and maybe hosting the loser of Sunday night's game between the Lions and the Vikings. Crazy, crazy stuff. And then you have the Browns, 20 point underdogs. Does Vegas have a game that comes close to that betting line? That seems to be the logical approach to putting that in perspective. In the past five years, there's only been two NFL games where the line was 20. Okay. There was a Jets Chiefs game and a Houston Texans jets game. Okay. Jets were the victims both times. Well, did the jets have a Pro bowl player this year? Was Garrett Wilson an alternate? Now, I know the Pro bowl doesn't mean anything. It's nice to acknowledge that, hey, you're a Pro bowl player. Well, now you don't have to play in a game. Which is great because they wanted to be named to the Pro Bowl. They just didn't want to have to play in the Pro Bowl. Yes, Marv. There were four teams in the NFL this season with no Pro Bowlers. Okay, let's guess the Jaguars. Jaguars. Okay. Jets. Dang. Okay, so that. That's two for two. No, no, no. Oh, just the Jets. Oh, not the Jags. Nope. No. Are we gonna play Guess The Jaguar. Let's get the four teams first. Yes. Eaton. The Dolphins. Bloop. Wow. Wow. Okay. Yeah, like sneaky terrible this year. Yeah. I got a hint for the next one. Okay. They started out hotter than fish grease this season. Yes, Todd. That would be the New Orleans Saint. Boo. The final team. They're incredibly irrelevant. Well, not the Browns because Miles Garrett has to be a Pro Bowler. So the Titans. Yay. Congratulations. Irrelevant. Irrelevant. Barring a change to the roster, Garrett Wilson, currently listed as a third team alternate. This will be the jets ninth consecutive season without an offensive Pro bowl player. The longest active streak in the NFL. Congratulations. Yes, Paul. This is going to be fun. Can anyone guess the two Jacksonville Jaguars that made the Pro ball two? If you guess this, here's a hint. No hint. Actually, no hint yet. Okay. Okay. All right. No hint. This is going to be impossible. Impossible. Is it a special teamer? They both are special teamers. That's like a courtesy pick. No offense. Oh, I, I would have no idea. Punter Logan Cook. All right, Logan. All right, Logan, you've always been a fan. Yeah, I love Logan in the Cooks. Ah. Ross Matissic, the long snapper. Oh, they, they go hand in hand. He could snap, like, literally. Yeah, I like the attitude today. Going to. I don't know what the problem is, but I bald this year. I'm a Pro Bowler. Okay. So don't look at me. Yeah. It's you guys that suck. Yeah. Do you get a preferred parking spot, like at least the last weekend of the regular season? Yeah. Paul, Patrick Mahomes did not make the Pro bowl, but is the best player in the entire sport. That's a true statement. Is he the best player or the most valuable player? Is there a difference in that? Lightly. Yeah. Because I don't know, if I look at him in the regular season, is he the best player or is he the most valuable? Because there are other quarterbacks who played better than him. Right. Stat wise, there's no other quarterback I'd rather have with the game on the line. That's the value part of this. Yeah. I don't, I don't. I mean, and maybe it's semantics here. I don't think he's the best player in this sport as much as I think he's the most valuable. It's like Michael Jordan didn't win MVPs. Barkley won. Karl Malone won a couple. But, you know, this was going to be Mike at the end of the season. You know, you wanted him on your team. His team was going to win a championship. And that's the way I feel about Mahomes. You know, Josh Allen, Mark Jackson, Joe Burrow were better than Mahomes this year. But if you said game on the line, who do you want? I want Patrick Mahomes. So kind of a weird game of semantics there. Yes, Paul, If I would have said before the season Sam Darnold would be a Pro Bowler and Patrick Mahomes would not. Well, okay. All right. Yes, Marv, that was one of my hot takes. Sam Darnold making the Pro Bowl. Do you have any audio evidence of that? We are going to recap it after the regular season. Okay. That's one of my super hot takes because hopefully we don't have any audio tape. When I said the jets were going to go to the Super Bowl, I got bullied into that, by the way, because I came in and I said the Lions and the Chiefs were going to be in the super bowl, the Lions were going to win and Then all of a sudden, Paulie goes, come on, go for it. Come on, go for it. I go, all right, jets against the line. I was bullied. That's what happened. Apologies. I was very lame, very lame on my part. Going kicking and screaming. Okay. You know, it was weird watching a bowl game, a big game yesterday at 4:00. And because that was going to be an 8:00 game, they moved it up for a variety of reasons in New Orleans, but it's almost like you felt like you're on the west coast where it's 2, 3, 4 hours difference there when you're watching a game. And that was the feeling. It was just. You kind of had to plan your afternoon because I, my wife was like, is that a rerun? I go, no, it's happening right now at 4:00. And I said, I got another one coming up. I got to watch Ole Miss. Ole Miss against Duke. Don't want to miss that. And she said, is that game more important than this game? I go, no, no. It just happens. They had to move this because of the tragedy in New Orleans, and they moved it up. Travel considerations for these teams and the fan bases there. But yeah, 4:00 game, like, it's done at 8:15. And you're like, alrighty. I like this. This is awesome. All right, eight, seven, seven, three DP show. By the way, Notre Dame has a plan and I like the plan. They just bring in a quarterback for one year, Sam Hartman. Riley Leonard may not have NFL futures. You bring them in, get a nice payday, they're gonna do that again probably next season. You know, you're 22, 23 years of age. Hey, you wanna play for Notre Dame for a year? Come on in. And Riley Leonard, I don't know what his pro prospects are, but, you know, he played well, came up with some big plays there. He's certainly not afraid when he, you know, takes the ball under his wing and he goes, not afraid with some contact. But Hartman, now Riley Leonard. And then, and I would do this if you said, I can have a 17 or 18 year old or I can have a 22 year old. I'm going to take the experienced player. Now, I still have to recruit, but I still want to get a couple of. I want some experience at a couple of different positions and certainly your quarterback. It's nice to bring in a five star recruit, but there are a lot of five star recruits who don't look like five star recruits when they get there. And you can bring in somebody who's ready to go? And that's why, you know, we look at the window of opportunity with some of these teams, whether it's college or the NFL, like the Vikings with Sam Darnold. Do you let Sam Darnold go because JJ McCarthy is younger and cheaper and, and therefore, what does that do to your window for trying to win a Super bowl? Look at the 49ers. They had a window wide open. They had doors wide open. And now that window is closed. The doors have closed because it closes so quickly here. And if I'm the Vikings, I gotta factor that in. If J.J. mcCarthy's ready to go, and you won't know this, Sam Darnold is giving you something that is tangible. It's right in front of you. You can go. He put up good numbers. Now, does he have help? Yes. He's got the best receiver in the game. Got a good tight end. He's got Addison. He's got a really good defense. Yes, he's got all of those things. But what I have trust in Sam Darnold moving forward. I would franchise him. If I thought JJ McCarthy was in the on deck circle and was truly ready to play, I would franchise him, and then I would. I would let J.J. mcCarthy come in and take over if he's ready. But, you know, we keep bringing up Sam Darnold's age. He's going to be 28. I mean, now he's just entering his prime. And maybe he is who we think he is, or maybe who we didn't think he was. He's proven us wrong, and he's played well. The window of opportunity. You can't go, eh, wait till next year. How many teams try to do that? Wait till next year. Like, the Lions know this window, it's here. In two years, we could be saying, man, Lions, they had it. It was there. That's. That's why when you look at the Chiefs being a dynasty, the ability to adapt to whatever they need to do, hey, we're going to be a defensive team now. Hey, we were a passing team. Hey, we'll get rid of Tyreek Hill. Hey, we'll bring in all these interchangeable parts. I mean, that's the brilliant, the brilliance of the Kansas City Chiefs. But there's only one Kansas City Chiefs used to have the Patriots who did this interchangeable parts. And did it. But, you know, it was hit or miss. They had moments where they went 10 years without winning a Super bowl. And, you know, that's an eternity in New England. So you, you capitalize when you can. Notre Dame going out and getting a quarterback who's played for somebody else. You know, a lot of these, we see success with these quarterbacks. Michael Pennix played at Indiana, Bo Nicks played at Auburn and Oregon. Pennix then goes to Washington. Dylan Gabriel, a couple of different stops. There you get a proven commodity and if you can get that and you can pay and bring in your quarterback, that's the hardest part in college football. Look at Jaden Daniels at Arizona State. Can you imagine if Jaden Daniels, if he was at Arizona State? Don't say it. Oh my goodness, how much fun would that be? But you know, he goes to lsu, he got paid and you know, it paid off for everybody there. He's going to be rookie of the year, he's in the Pro Bowl. So a long winded way of saying we love to look at that window of opportunity, but the window can have cracks in it, there can be a breeze going through it, or it can be wide open, full of sunshine. And these teams have to capitalize when they can because it closes so quickly. Buddha in San Francisco leads us off. Hi, Buddha. What's on your mind today? Nobody. Every day is a Super Bowl. Let's go, Fritz C. Let's go walk. Welcome back, dp. It's so nice to have my sports show Binky back. You guys were sorely missed. And as I usually ask after you guys are on a break, the inner sommelier, Dan and me wants to know what was the best wine you had over the holidays. But while you think about that, Dan, I just want to say watching the Texas Arizona State game live, I mean, I couldn't believe the targeting wasn't called. I got up to go get another beverage. I had no horse in the race. But I come back and I mean, that hit was vicious. And I come back in, the ref just calmly, calmly says, no targeting. I was just instantly looking around like, that's the power of that big Texas money, man. Wow. I couldn't believe it. And Dan, JJ Redick apparently poked the bear last night. I mean, our man the Chuckster was throwing flames at JJ Redick last time, the middle, I mean, in the middle of the TNT broadcast. And Ernie was earning his keep trying to hold Charles in line while doing highlights live. I was like, you gotta watch it. I mean, it's pretty good. He calls out the Lakers and JJ and the whole situation that my Lakers mdp, it's just not good. Thank you, Buddha. Have a great weekend. I had some more sea smoke and I don't Know just I think it's Santa Rita, California is where that's from. Small little place I guess but sea smoke. Nice bottle one if you can find it. Nice bottle one. Yeah. Charles, maybe Marvin, we could bring that back from TNT last night. Chuckster. I, I don't know what set him on. You know J.J. redick was talking about like the media is the problem critiquing the NBA. And that's all Charles needed to hear. It's basically it. Hey jj, shut up. You know, I see the job. You're kind of dead man walking there with the Lakers. And it's he and Charles said I'm not the one jacking up threes like Charles went off on JJ Redding. So I don't know if Charles just having a bad night but JJ, I mean you can't blame the media. I guess JJ's blaming me. Look, I'm just questioning. The NFL is always trying new things. Baseball trying new things. Does basketball need to try new things? That's all I want the game to be great. I don't think that's asking a whole lot as a member of the media to then call out something that I've been watching for over 60 years. And you see the decline in ratings. I mean this isn't one week, this is one month. No, there's been a steady decline. Well why? Same thing with baseball. I didn't want it to disappear. I still wanted to be impactful. I've been watching baseball for 60 years and yes, am I old school, I am. But I'm willing to be open minded to what you need to do, do things different. Baseball is tried. Baseball had a great year. Football, they can't screw it up even with a silly looking kickoff. But basketball got to be careful because these TV networks, streaming services are spending hundreds of millions of dollars, billions of dollars what has to go to somebody and it's going to guys who you would not get out of your bed to go watch if they were playing in your backyard and you don't know when they're playing and if they don't care, why should I care? Now you did try the in season tournament. Okay you did. It didn't change my viewing patterns but okay, they at least try. That's all. We're going to get to the point where you're going to turn on an NBA game or maybe go to an NBA game and there's going to be a player making $100 million that season. How are you going to feel about that? And then when that player sits out, how do you feel about that? And the more you're paying, the more likely they're probably sitting out. So this is happening. I mean, people were apoplectic when quarterbacks were making 50 million. I mean, now we just kind of accept it. You're going to have to accept players making ninety, a hundred million dollars a year in the NBA and it's going to happen in the next five years. So, yes. Is. Are there some flaws with the NBA? Yes, yes. I. Caitlin Clark said the problem is they're too good. I don't agree with that. I think there are some players who are unbelievable, but I think there are a lot of players who are believable, that they're just average or bet little better than average or they're one dimensional. But the players who are great, I mean, Don Chick, you know, for the ages, Joker for the ages, Giannis, like, these are all time great, great, great players. Steph Curry, LeBron, KD, all time. You got a lot. I mean, this next wave better be able to carry more than just the water for the NBA. You know, it's social media. It's being there, it's showing up, it's playing. It's being in big games, playing big and big games like those are the concerns. Now, would I go all in on JJ Redick's coaching this year? I wouldn't. The Lakers are an average team. Accept it. They're an average team. I don't think anything's going to change anytime soon. All right, let me take a break and we'll come back. We got more phone calls. We got our play of the day coming up, and I think that's it. Unless there's something else I'm missing, Paul, that I. You're always good with teases. We're going to play Guess the poll results. Guess the poll results that'll keep them Guess the poll results that'll keep you in your car right after this. The Buffalo Bills only having two Pro bowl players is on brand. On brand. They had two last year. I think it speaks to Josh Allen's value. I do. And once again, as somebody sent a note to me, hey, do you ever sprain your ankle getting off your soapbox? It's like, okay, all right, a little shot there. That's fine. Who sent that to you? Let's out them right now. Yeah, my brother, he got a little downtime here. Now it was somebody else who's in the business, as a matter of fact, and maybe works for espn, but that's okay. Hey, I. I get on my soapbox because I care. Yeah, Paul, you get on your soapbox because you have a national sports radio show. If you don't get on your soapbox. We really don't have a lot to do here. Yeah, that's true. If you stop giving your takes and opinions that you believe in, we're really not going to be going to make it three more years. And I know that I, you know, I'm not down on the NBA. I, I just want to make sure that the NBA realizes that other leagues evolve, other things that need to happen. Maybe, you know, there's going to be something that changes here. I want it for the betterment of the game. I don't want change for change. I just want to make sure that people watch the sport and it's a good sport to watch, a good product to watch. And I can't always say that. Let me see. How about we guess the poll results and then Seaton will give the actual poll results? How about that? All right, so give us the poll question for the ought to win the national title. Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas. Okay, let's see. What does the public think? I don't know. There seems like there's a lot of pro and con with all of these programs. Probably more so with Notre Dame that you're going to love them or hate them. Ohio State might be polarizing to people. Is Texas polarizing? Penn State hasn't been good enough to be polarizing. Who do people want to win? I'll say the Ohio State, Todd. I'm going to say Notre Dame with Texas close behind. Okay, Marvin. Penn State. Oh, Paulie. I think Texas is winning the poll. Satan. Oh my God. Penn State is currently in last place. Well done. Texas is in third place. Notre Dame running away with it. Wow. On both Twitter and the website, normally they conflict a little bit, but people heavy Notre Dame. So people don't hate Notre Dame anymore? Why? Why would we hate Notre Dame? Well, for a long time people hated Notre Dame. Yes, Marvin. They haven't been good enough to hate. Okay. If you're my age, I've never seen him win a national title. Okay, but that's why people hate them though, because they're like they're not even any good. Why do they have a deal like that all by themselves? They're not even any good. Wait, what's your impersonate? What voice do you got working there? Yeah, I don't know. I like to do voices. Is that Napoleon Dynamite? Not even any good. I'll do whatever I feel like. Gosh, yes, Todd, you have a very likable coach, God fearing quarterback. Notre Dame. You got JC on their side. They seem kind of likable. Okay. Just like the Yankees are. You don't like, hate them as much as we used to. The certain team, they don't win enough for us to hate them. Like a whole new generation. It's like, what's the hate against the Yankees? Catholics versus Christians last night. It's an interesting one. Okay. JC Went with the Catholics. JC Never enters the portal though days. If he did. Andrew Deal. That's what I want to know. Andrew in Washington. Good morning, Dan. Dan, it's. Thanks for taking my call. And I guess this is the last show that we can say happy New Year, so. Happy New Year. Yeah. So, shoulder update. I had that surgery December 18th. Nothing went wrong with the surgery. The only side effect was it took them a while to wake me up, which you don't like to hear. And so my small lung sacs in my lungs kind of collapsed. So I was out of breath for at least a week. Had to do breathing, exercise. I didn't know if you had that side effect after your shoulder surgery or any surgery, but it's not fun. I was out of breath when I first saw Jenny Batche, but that's the only time I've been out of breath. I had a question for you in a stat. So with receding coming for the college football playoffs, how does that make conference championships relevant? I know you've went over this before, but I forget what your fix was for that. And my stat of the day is from the break. In the ugliest NFL game this season, the Bears lost to the Seahawks 6 to 3 on December 26th. This marked the third time in 2024 Chicago team lost to a Seattle team 63 since the Mariners beat the White Sox 63 on July 27th and 28th. That's your weird stat of the day. All right. Stat of the day. Stat of the day. Stat of the day. Stat of the day. This is the out of the day brought to you by Panini America. The official trading cards of the program. These point spreads are whack. You got The Bears getting 10 against the Packers. The Bears are playing everybody, aren't they? Like Caleb Williams is playing every. Everybody's playing in this game. Have you watched the past two months of Bears football? Yes, but they're 10 point underdogs against their rivals at green on the road. The Bears have not put up much of a fight the past four weeks. Yeah, okay. I saw where there was a report, I put that in parentheses that quotations. Mike McCarthy might be interested in the Bears. What kind of reporting are we doing nowadays? Might be. I mean, it's not a report, but it's played off as a report. Mike McCarthy might be. What does that mean? Can somebody ask Mike McCarthy. You might be interested in the Bears. This could be his last game coming up this weekend. He might be interested in staying with the Cowboys. Dan Orlovsky from the mothership coming up.
