The American west with Dan Flores is the latest show from the Meat Eater Podcast Network. So join me starting Tuesday, May 6th where we'll delve into stories of the west and come to understand how it helps inform the ways in which we experience the region today. Listen to the American west with Dan Flores on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Your gut microbiome and those healthy bacteria can actually have positive effects. Your mental health, your immunity, your risk of cancer, almost any disease under the sun. This week on Dope Labs, TT and I dive into the world of probiotics. The hype, the science, and what your gut bacteria are really doing behind the scenes from drinks and gummies to probiotic pillows. Yes, really probiotic pillows. We're breaking down what's legit and what's just brilliant marketing with expert Insight from gastroenterologist Dr. Roshi Raj. Listen to Dope Labs on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. You are listening to the Dan Patrick show on Fox Sports Radio. We did it. We did it. We made it to a Friday. It's a meet Friday at that. The gang's all here. The minister of humor, Fritzi. Yes, it's a Friday, Fritzi, so beware. Seaton's here. Marv, Paulie, yours truly and the BRGs and being a meat Friday, in case you're wondering, and I know you are, we have bacon and egg cheese sliders, sausage benedict sliders with goat cheese and hollandaise sauce. We have locks and bagels, sliders, cream cheese, tomato, red onion and we have spicy bloody marys. Who has it better than we do? Nobody. Yes, Paul, Is this a Friday brunch situation? I think, I think feels brunchy. We have, we have some younger guys here in the younger demo. They like to brunch it. Yeah, yeah. It's really important when you brunch. Oh, yeah. And yeah, Dylan is whipping up a batch here. So he's a young guy. He's the oldest looking 29 year old that you'll find. And he is the. Our chef. And so we have a brunch type meat Friday. All right, come on in. Got a few things. Talk about 877-3-DP show. That's the phone number operator Tyler sitting by. He'll take your phone calls. Come up with a play of the day poll question. Stat of the day. Good morning. If you're watching on Peacock, thank you for downloading the app. And we say good morning to our radio affiliates around the country. You know that the stat of the day is brought to you by Panini America. The official trading cards of the program. Win or lose, we celebrate. That is our motto since we normally lose all remaining t shirts. Just $10 now. DanPatrick.com these are great gifts. They bring your car back to life. Affordable paint jobs, light collision repairs. Get a free estimate today. Oh, better get Mako. We will recap what happened last night at the Garden. Pacers still up. 3, 2. The series goes Back to Indianapolis. That'll be Saturday night. The Knicks are four point underdogs as they try to tie this thing up. We will check in with Ross Tucker. Little football. We stumbled upon this yesterday. Paulie goes, you know, we're 99 days away from the start of the NFL season. And I go, oh, okay, sounds like a segment to me. Let's talk about who has the most pressure on them. And then we had a tier one pressure, tier two pressure, and then all of a sudden it got out of hand and went off the rails, which was great. And I think we were all in agreement that it's Lamar Jackson and John Harbaugh probably with the most pressure going into this upcoming season. Yes, Paul. And of course, Tears of Pressure was a popular 90s punk band, right? Seaton? They were great. Oh, yeah. Years of pressure. We have a poll question. Seaton will have the honors there. College football might be closing in on tweaking their playoff model. We'll talk about that. Also, this is something that we brought up last year and I, I had been told that they were going to expand March madness to either 72 or 76 teams. We had some people on who kind of danced around that. I still think that they're going to go to 72, if not 76 teams for March Madness. We have an update on that coming up as well. Play of the day, poll question, stat of the day, all of that forthcoming. Seaton, what are we going to go with first hour of this award nominated program? Well, we actually have suggestions from everybody this morning. You believe that? Do you want to go with Paul, Marvin or Todd first? Let me start with Todd to dubs. This is his. Let's not overthink it. Poll question. So, dot, dot, dot, dot. Pacers and six Pacers in seven. Knicks in seven. Okay, how are you feeling? I'm feeling Pacers in six. Yeah, I'm good. I mean, I know we get caught up in its, you know, overreaction and it's week to week, night to night and all of that. But hey, Indiana had a bad game. Give credit to the Knicks. The Knicks played great. The Knicks played the way they should play and they somehow overcame all of those stars, those celebrities at the Garden and they were able to play basketball. Unbelievable. They won a playoff game at home. Let's celebrate. So I would say Pacers in six. What else do you have, Seton? We have this one's from Marvin. More iconic place for basketball, New York City or the state of Indiana. Whoa. Yeah. Yeah. Marvin is bringing heat five minutes into the Show. Okay. It is interesting, though, that players play in the Garden. They don't play the Knicks or they don't play St. John's they play in the Garden. I don't know of any other place where you go, oh, man, it'll be great. We get to play in the Garden. It's not. You're, I mean, when you face the Lakers, you don't say, we're playing in the, whatever the, you know, arena is. I mean, maybe the fab, Fabulous forum, you know, Boston Garden it used to be, but still. You were still playing against the Celtics or the Lakers. But the Garden, because, let's face it, New York doesn't have a lot of playoff success. Right, Marvin? I think we can, we can all agree on that. Absolutely. Okay. Like, Michael Jordan didn't play. Oh, he's playing the Knicks. Michael's at the Garden tonight. LeBron's at the Garden, Kobe's at the Garden. Yes. Like you're playing at the Building. Even in college, the nit. We're playing at the Garden. Like, it's not where, oh, this is where Landry Fields and David Lee play. No, you're playing at the Garden, playing the building. Billy Joel plays the Garden. Yes. Yeah. No, no, it's. It's the most famous arena. They, they tell you that. It's the most famous. They always tell you that. As a matter of fact, a lot. They tell you. Yes, a lot. It's. It's not home to the, like, NBA champion Knicks or, you know, it's. It's home to the most famous arena in the world, but it should be a great home own court advantage. But then all of a sudden we're making excuses why the Knicks can't win at home. You know, they should. It's a great home court advantage, but the atmosphere there is wonderful. But you do play the Garden. It's not, hey, we get to play the Knicks. Yes, Marvin. And also other places like Rucker park, as far as being iconic for basketball, even in Indiana. What's that Hinkle Field house? Is that where they filmed Hoosiers? Yes. So that's another place where it's like, I don't really know who played. Most people don't know Butler plays there, but you know, that's where they filmed Hoosiers. But also, if you think about Indiana basketball, that's about high school basketball, and it's also about the Indiana Hoosiers. But the Hoosiers haven't been that good in a while. It's still about high school basketball. There's certain states, Pennsylvania, Ohio, that in Texas, where you're getting 10,000 there for a high school football game. You know, certain states, certain sports. But Indiana, when you're getting 10,000 for a high school basketball game, I mean, that's. That's impressive. But New York, New York is about, you know, legendary playground, guys. It feels like, you know, West 4th, you know, the cage there. Rucker, as you've mentioned, Coney Island. Different players from different places. But it's not like they had arenas where you were getting 10,000 or 15,000 to go watch a game. If you had a big game, then you would have that at the Garden. Yes, Marvin. So what about maybe 40 years ago, was Indiana basketball as big of a program as it was in. In the country? Yes. Okay, so I'm counting that also, like, if you're of a certain age, I'm sure you wanted to wear the candy cane stripe and play. I'm sure every single high school basketball player in Indiana wanted to play at Indiana. Right. And played at assembly hall, probably. Okay. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Paul. Yeah. John Wooden's from Indiana. I know he coached at ucla, but he's part of that fabric. You go back to, like you said about high schools, there's a lot of high schools that have gyms of over 8,9000. Steve. Steve Alford played at Newcastle. Bob Knight coached in Indiana, obviously, and the movie Hoosiers. It does feel like Indiana is the capital of basketball in our country. Yeah. Well, the Garden was last night. As the next. Go, New York, go, Chalamet, go. Yeah. Timothy Chalamet. How you feeling, Fritzi, about your Knicks, say, go, New York, Go, New York, go. We are the Knicks and we're doing it for kicks. We're hitting three pointers and you're putting up bricks. Jalen Brunson had 32, so he has 21 career postseason games with at least 30 points, most in Knicks franchise history. Stat of the day brought to you by Panini America, the official trading cards of the program. Also, the victory was the Knicks first home win in Eastern Conference finals since beating The Pacers exactly 25 years to the day. That was May 29th of 2000. I don't know. We're going to try to make this a little bit more than, hey, is this a trend with the Pacers? It's one game. That's the way I looked at. I'm not surprised the Knicks won, not surprised that they won in impressive fashion. But, you know, here's the thing. When we, when we look at greatness, you know, Tyrese Halliburton's had a wonderful two or three months here. You still, you have to be great every single night. You got to give me something. And, you know, they're, they're starting five basically was a no show, and that is a problem. Then Pascal Siakam, after the game, was talking to a reporter, and then he admitted that, you know, the Knicks played harder. What? I mean, how much of it was them? I guess. What did they do? Especially on the, on, on their side of the defense? Nah, they played harder than us, I think. I think they play harder than us. You know, loose balls, like rebounds, like all that. We got to be able to win that battle. Pascal, can you make sense of it for those of us who don't play this game at this level? Like, you know, what was a mistake? And you're saying they played harder than you guys. You didn't fight them hard enough. How is that possible? What do you mean? How is it possible to not fight hard enough in game? It's harder. They played harder than us. It's okay. We played hard, but they played harder. What's your point? I don't get it. No, I get the follow up. I get the follow up question. Wait, you just said they played harder than you. You don't say that. Did they execute better? Yes, they played. How is it possible? It's game five of the Eastern Conference finals. You win and you go to the NBA Finals and they played harder. I think it's a fair question. And Pascal Siakam didn't realize what he said because if he had to do it all over again, he'd probably say, you know what? They, they played better than us. They executed better than us. They played harder than us. That's not a good response and a good follow up question as well. All right, so we'll settle on a poll question. And once again, 877 3DP show. Say good morning to the radio affiliates, iHeartRadio and Fox Sports Radio as well. We're. We have our Stanley cup final set. It's a rematch. It's the Oilers rolling the stars. And now it's a rematch of last year. It's the Panthers and the Oilers. You know, there's part of me that's rooting for Edmonton because it's been a long, long, long time since Canada won the Stanley Cup. When you had Montreal in what, 92, 93 with Patrick and nothing else. And the fact that you have teams from Florida, like hockey. Hockey Central is now Florida, where it was Tampa Bay for Three years and now it's the Florida Panthers. And the Florida Panthers just know how to win. But, man, you go back to what Edmonton wanted in 1989 so they got a chance here to represent Canada. How do you think Canada feels when they go, man, we lost our sport. You know what, what happened? You know who was supposed to be watching our sport? Who, who was on night watch then who was doing security? I'll be damn. Florida took our sport right from us. Yeah. Paul. Yeah. You go back and look at the standings from the 70s, and it's a, it's basically a Canadian sport with some good teams in America. But the Gretzky trade, you talk about shifting a landscape. It's obvious, but change everything. Yeah, he brought hockey to the United States. He brought hockey to Southern states. And who would have thought but the Florida Panthers dynasty, question mark. Tampa Bay Lightning went, had a three year run as well. But Edmonton will be heading back to the Stanley Cup Final and the NBA final. Finals starts Thursday. The Stanley cup final starts on Wednesday night. Any other poll questions before we take a break here? See, do you have anything else? Yeah, we got a million of them. Dan. How about Pascal Siakam? Siakam. Saying they played harder is to say throwaway line or embarrassing to admit. Hmm. Well, if he truly meant it, then it's embarrassing. If it was just one of those where you're saying, oh, you know, I should choose my words carefully. But if you say it twice, it doesn't sound like an accident because you're even given sort of that reset. Wait, you said they played harder. That's where you can kind of edit yourself and say, no, no, no, no, I, I meant that they execute better when you say, yeah, they played harder. Yeah, I have a problem with it. Do I think it's going to have an impact on game six? I don't. But, you know, you're looking for morsels, you're looking for anything with your story. And if you're covering the Pacers, then, you know, maybe you got something. Yes, Todd, if he did in fact mean it and was trying to send a message to the team, there's got to be a better way to do that in the locker room and gather the troops and say, we got to play harder than that. We got one more win, you know, we're not done yet. As opposed to sending it out publicly to let the team know, well, he wasn't angry. Like, it wasn't one of those, you know what, they played harder than us, and that can't happen anymore. You know, it's just a they played harder. And then all of a sudden the reporter follows up and says, wait a minute. They played harder. It's game five of the Eastern Conference finals. How's that possible? They played better, but they can't play harder than you. Any other poll questions there that we might have? Yes, Paul, we have two more after the break. Oh, are they after the break worthy? That I can't promise. I'm not making that promise. All right, fair enough. All right, we'll settle on poll question. Phone calls always welcome. We. We will. Oh, I see that. Bryan Cranston, the great actor, will join us. The Mr. Breaking Bad. He's got a new movie out. He'll join us a little bit later on. Ross Tucker will stop by as well. We'll take a break. We're back after this. On the Dan Patrick Show, Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Hosted by me writer and historian Dan Flores and brought to you by Velvet Buck, this podcast looks at a West available nowhere else. Each episode I'll be diving into some of the lesser known histories of the West. I'll then be joined in conversation by guests such as Western historian Dr. Randall Williams and best selling author and Meat Eater founder Stephen Rinella. I'll correct my kids now and then where they'll say when cave people were here. And I'll say it seems like the Ice Age people that were here didn't have a real affinity for caves. So join me starting Tuesday, May 6th where we'll delve into stories of the west and come to understand what how it helps inform the ways in which we experience the region today. Listen to the American west with Dan Flores on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. When you're starting 5 only scores 5 more points than Jalen Brunson. You're probably in trouble. Give credit to Brunson. Karl Anthony Townes playing on a bulky knee. Guess that weren't quite sure how long he could play last night, but he looked pretty active to me. And the Knicks will have a little momentum going into game six. They are four point underdogs according to DraftKings. I look at the people, when they're the beautiful people who are courtside, they get to sit in the front row. I've never had that honor to be able to sit in the front row. Now I'm usually covering a game so it'd be kind of silly to cover a game and sit in the front row. My the closest I came was years ago, not sure if the Lakers were playing the Pacers or the 76ers in the NBA Finals. And I remember going there's Diane Cannon. And I was told by the great coach PJ Carlissimo, ask her about her special brownies. So I walked up to her, introduced myself and I said I was told to ask you about your brownies. And she said here you go. Gave me a special brownie there, don't know what was in it but it was great. And I'm talking to legendary actress Diane Kaylor. Then I start to take a lap around feeling, you know, I'm feeling pretty good, got my brownie and then I see Brad Pitt, Justin Timberlake. So I'm just acknowledging like hey, how you doing? Yeah, how you Doing. And then the infamous Brad Pitt was sitting in his chair. And I'm walking by, and I said something to him. He didn't know who I was. And then I get back to my seat, and that's when Rich Eisen's wife said, you got a bat in the cave? No. No. And I said, what? I said, I just walked by Brad Pitt. I just got a brownie from Diane Cannon. I just saw Pamela Anderson. And she goes, yeah, you got a bat in the cave? Pamela Anderson, Yeah. Decided to go blow my nose. You imagine I wondered why Brad Pitt quickly turned away. I go, hey, Brad. I'm dan Patrick from SportsCenter. You just go up. And then he turned quickly away. As he's staring up my nose, he said, it's not a good time to approach me. All right, all right. Half blue, maybe. No, I'm gonna give you a bloop. I'm gonna give you a bloop on that one. All right, so who would you want to sit next to, though? And let's just say all the celebrities in New York, Everybody who normally goes to the game. You. You can pick one. Todd, I'll start. Start with you, Chris Rock. Okay, Love that. Quick. Okay. Marvin, what about you? Of everybody who normally goes to the game, you get to sit next to Michael Strahan. Okay. All right. Paulie. I would have to go. Patrick Ewing. That would be thrilling to watch him watch the game and hear his commentary. Patrick Ewing. Seaton. I think I'm gonna stick with Tracy Morgan. I like Tracy Morgan. I think he's a lot of fun. Tracy talks a lot. I like Louis or Rory Sparrow. Somebody will get pregnant different. I. That's two bloops here before, you know, a half hour in. Todd, next to me. See me. Great sitting next to me. I love his laugh. I love his giggle. I would sit next to Timothy Chalamet. I'm gonna get a lot of airtime. Obviously, we can talk basketball, but we can talk acting and, you know, being around beautiful women. So I. I would go with the Chalamet. Timothy Chalamet. Seaton also brought up something that if you have a theme song, like the Red Sox have Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond. Neil diamond is from Brooklyn. And Seaton said this yesterday. He goes, shouldn't you. If you use a song, it should be from a person who is from your city or maybe you're staked. Is that fair kind of caricature of what we're trying to come up with here, Seton? Yeah. Yeah, I think so. I got, you know, that the white stripe song seven nation army is used in, I bet, 95% of sports stadiums across the world, which must be amazing for Jack White to see, because that's pretty incredible. But I always kind of feel like if I was a fan of a Detroit team, I would be like, that's our song, though. White Stripes are from Detroit. That's our song. So we should be the ones using that. Like, you know, a lot of people use Enter Sandman, Sandman, Metallica as a band. They're from. Most associated with San Francisco. So I feel like San Francisco teams should be able to use Enter Sandman. Maybe Los Angeles has a little bit of a claim there too, because they. They did form in Los Angeles, but moved to San Francisco. You know, think about all of the great music from Chicago or from Atlanta. Those teams should be able to use those songs exclusively. And they. I don't know that other areas should be able to use them. All right. Like Outcast. Hey, that should only be Atlanta teams. Yeah. The only ones who can use that. Yeah, absolutely. All right. John Denver is not from West Virginia. Correct. But he sings about West Virginia. All right, this is another wrinkle. This is another wrinkle to it. If the song is about the place, then maybe they should be allowed to use that. Right. West Virginia. Absolutely should be able to use Country Road. Even if John Denver is not from West Virginia, but then Rocky Mountain High, Colorado is. I don't think John's from Colorado, is he? I think he's. His last name's Denver. Yeah, his name is John Denver. Like, we're not gonna. I think that's his real name. I don't know. I mean, is anyone more Colorado than John Denver? He was born Henry John Dushendorf the junior. Whoa. The third. I think it's due. Sendorf. Sure looks like Dussendorf. Well, Henry John Dussendorf Jr. I would change my name to John Denver. Just call me John Denver. Where's he from? New Mexico. Okay. Born in New Mexico. That's a little bit like a Scarface. Or it's like, ah, Tony Montana. Just call me Tony Montana. It's John Denver. Yeah, Paulie. But here's the issue. Go back to Enter Sandman, which is used a lot. Cal football was sleeping. Cal football didn't use Enter Sandman. And Virginia Tech scooped it up, like in 2002 or something. Yeah, they're gonna have to give that back. They have to give that back. They do. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. The Hokies are not gonna like that. Yeah. That's unfortunate. For them, they're gonna have to stick to, you know, Virginia artists. Yeah, this is. You know, we got. We got to inform some teams and some cities that they have to give back some songs here. Yes, Marvin. So does Wisconsin have to give back Jump around by House of Pain? Definitely. Oh, damn. Yeah, definitely. And Killer. Sorry. That goes straight to Nevada specifically. I guess Vegas right there from Las Vegas, but I'll give it to the whole state. I think Reno should be able to use Killer still. You know, some of it is state specific. Some of it is city specific. We're workshopping it still. But. Okay. Yes, Paul, I did some light research. The Pittsburgh Steelers have been using the song Renegade by the perpetually underrated Styx since 2002. And they play it between the third and fourth quarter, and everyone gets pumped up to Renegade. Styx is a true Chicago band. All the guys are from Chicago. But if Chicago sports teams never grab Renegade, it's you snooze, you lose. But not according to your new policy. Yeah, I think they're going to have to give that back to Charlie. Pittsburgh. Right. Okay. All right, this is another question. Weeks just sent this one in. What about thematically appropriate songs like Oklahoma City, Thunder, using Thunderstruck by acdc. This has a lot of wrinkles to it. One, they're an Australian band. Yeah. Yeah. So they have no affiliation with really any city, any state? None that would be relevant to this discussion. However, a thematically appropriate song, that. That's another thing that's worth discussing. The name is in the title. Yeah, yeah. And you're taking it from another country. So there's no one. Our country has no dibs on it. Yeah. I think it's got to stay in Australia personally. But what? Oh, wow. Well, Tupac is from Harlem. He was born in Harlem. But then California love. Yeah. West coast is going to have some trouble with that one. Sorry. Gonna have to just stick with Dre only. I don't want to get along with that debate. Yeah, I don't want that. I don't want that heat. Yeah, not at all. Back to East Coast. West coast be. That's it. Yeah, we don't. We don't need any more of that New York state of mind. Is everybody from New York there? Alicia Keys, Is she from New York? She is, I believe. I think she is. New York. Yeah. Okay. Sinatra, Jersey. Jersey. Yeah. Sorry. Does that count? New York, New York. All right. Well, that's the name, though. But, you know, New Jersey gets Bon Jovi. We get Bruce Springsteen. We get. We get a lot. So it's going to be, you know, the Devil's Rutgers and Seton hall are going to have great soundtracks. Yeah, that's. Yeah. Yeah. Marvin, can the Raiders use Viva Las Vegas? Why not? Almost like John Denver. Yeah. Name is in the title. I think you can use it. All right, cool. All right. But that's it, though. Are you the commissioner of this? I think so, yeah. Thus far, I'm the one that stepped up to raise this issue. I like it. I like it. Great Friday topic. Yes. Paul. I just double checked. And the great 70s 80s band journey is from San Francisco. And their song Don't Stop Believing has been used by the White Sox, I think, in 05, just for like a temporary. But isn't a line of the song born and raised in South Detroit, Detroit Red Wings use that song for many years. Don't stop. Okay, so it's been used by multiple teams. Yeah. And presidential campaigns as well, Right? Yes. Todd, if Billy Joel was born in Mississippi, would we have a problem with that? Great song, New York State of Mind. Would that be somehow awkward if they were playing that at Yankee Stadium with the Garden? Hey, you're from Mississippi. What are you singing New York State of Mind about? Yeah, probably, you know, maybe somebody would say, you know, what's he know about New York? He's from Mississippi. Yes. So I'm. This is all mostly tongue in cheek. However, if you think about what we were just talking about with Madison Square Garden, right? And you're trying to think about that as an intimidating place to play, or you're trying to think of it as a place like, wow, we're actually at the Garden. When you walk in there and you hear music that's only from New York or whatever, and the culture and the sounds and everything, I think it would be way more impactful than walking in and hearing like, oh, look, they play that song, too. Oh, look, they're doing Seven Nation army two. Look. Wow, that's cool. But I bet if you went to a place in Detroit and there it's the only place that the whole crowd was doing that, you would be like, this is sick. It's like almost like the homogenization, I guess, of everything everywhere is exactly the same. There's really no difference between playing in la, New York, Boston, Oklahoma City, whatever. They're all. They're all, everybody. We all wear the same T shirt. It's just this color and everybody. It's all the exact same thing. But if you were able to tap into the local culture and things that made it special, I think it would actually help the game back after this. Yes, Todd. It also gets tricky when all of a sudden a song gets attached to a certain player. Like Enter Sandman. That's obviously been used before with teams and players, but when something happens that's so iconic, when that's Mariano Rivera, doesn't it become weird after that? How could anyone really play that? When it's like, it seems like it's Mario and Rivera's coming into the game song, it was like, for now on, like anyone that plays, it's like, oh, that's when Mario Rare came out. Be weird to use that for any other pitcher or player, I think. Yeah. Well, once again, it's kind of tongue in cheek. I don't know if we're going to be able to enforce this. I'd like to consider enforcement on this. There are people who took it very seriously. Oh, really? On social media. Okay, okay, hold on, hold on. There's no way to actually do this, so let's just. Oh, really? Yeah. A little, little blowback. First of all, how can you not even mention Grateful Dead? You're like, oh, okay, sorry. I rattled off three bands that I could think of from San Francisco real quick. I didn't go through the whole catalog. We could do accounting Crows. They're from around here. Around here. Around here. Round. Round here. Yes. Paul. See, you said the Killers are from where? I believe they're from Las Vegas. Okay. And Michigan football uses Mr. Brightside by the Killers as a pump up song, which, by the way, might be the softest of all pump up songs. I don't think, like, I'm gonna crack someone between the numbers I don't pop the Killers on. It's a fun song. Yeah. But I don't know if Sweet Caroline really, you know, is gonna get you started on a seventh inning stretch at Fenway. Right. I'm not going buzzing the tower on someone because I heard Neil Diamond. No way. So good, so good, so good. You know, it's been an interesting part of this actually, is that I've learned a lot of things just reading through the comments section of this video that I posted. 1. Almost everyone is sick of hearing Seven Nation army at sporting events. Almost universally, Boston fans are very happy to give Sweet Caroline away to anyone who will take it. That's the overwhelming sentiment. I did a thing about like Oakland versus San Francisco. And like some bands, like, who gets to claim MC Hammer and Too Short. Those are Oakland artists, you know. But it's the Bay area. People also reminded me that Oakland really doesn't have any teams anymore. Are there any popular bands in West Sacramento? Yeah, they. I mean, they still have the Oakland roots, I guess. Let's see, what else? People. A lot of people were discovering that they live in areas that don't really support the arts because they were like, whoa, I live in this place. We don't have any bands. Well, you might want to support the arts a little more then, I guess. Trevor Hoffman came into Hell's Bells. We okay with that? I mean, ac, DC and San Diego, I'm sure they toured there. But he came in with Hell's Bells. Tom in Texas. Hi, Tom. What's on your mind? First time, long time. 58180. So a couple things I had in mind. One was Dylan, to me sounds like Beetlejuice, especially Seedon's impersonation. And Pandora sounds a lot like Molly Shannon from Superstar. Those are both good calls. Thanks. The third thing is the song Mo Bamba is actually about Mo Bamba, the basketball player who went to ut. Him and the singer grew up as friends so that he made the rap song about him. And a lot of people don't know this, but A and M, Texas A M plays that song to live. Which is funny because he's a Longhorn. Yeah, but Mo Bamba, that's from like the 50s, right? Not. Not the Mo Bamba playing basketball. Paulie. There's a rap song that came out when Mo Bamba joined the league that was played around him. And it's funny that the rap song is having a better career than Obama is. No offense. Yes, very much. He's like a bang around center. He's average like 2, 2 and 2. Rocco in Florida. Hi, Rocco Indianette. When I called in, it was before you guys mentioned Sandman and Trevor Hoffman. But I was thinking, I was just gonna say your opinion on how baseball is more of an individual with the songs because it's the only one you can really do with walk ups or. I always remember even seeing, being from Arizona, seeing Angels games. I was only protein, the, you know, the fireman with Percival and stuff. So I remember those and attach it to people more than teams in baseball other than the Red Sox and. Or Frank Sinatra with the Yankees. So yeah, just throwing that out there. 5, 9, 1, 90. But yeah, you guys have a good day. Thank you, Rocco. Yeah, Richie Valens did La Bamba and then I guess the rap song is a. A playoff of Labamba. And I thought, well, La Bramba, it goes back like a hunt, 200 years as a song. And I Think Richie Valens made it like a pop song. Oh, I think. I think La Bamba, I think that goes. Is almost like a. Like. Like a folk song that goes back decades, you know, hundreds of years. Centuries. Oh, dang. Okay. You know, this is all. It's a. We're teaching, we're learning, we're listening. That's. That's what's great here. Just tongue in cheek, like, have a little bit of fun here. Yes, Todd. It was played at the ancient Mesopotamia amphitheater. That's how far back it goes. Like something that's not true. Babylonians were fighting each other, and they'd start singing that. They did. They have fight songs back in the Roman coliseum. Checking. Yeah, the weapons were just different. They were very antiquated. But, yeah, they're throwing little pebbles at each other. They figure it out. Yes, Marvin, as long as we don't mention where Green Day's from so we can stay in our lane, I don't want any issues. Green days in the Bay Area, they can play wherever they want to play. You know how I feel about Green Day. Yep. Yep. They might. Man, they're a tricky one between Oakland. They're Oakland, and they're Berkeley, too, right? Berkeley is that area, isn't it? I. You know what? I'm gonna let that. I'm gonna say Bay Area. Let's just call it Bay Area. Whatever they want, whatever Green Day wants, whatever they want to lay claim to is fine with me. All right, we'll take a break. More phone calls coming up. Our play of the day is next. Jeff Skinner came into the game last night. He had played in 1078 regular season games, most by any NHL forward, fourth most by any player without scoring a playoff goal. He scored his first playoff goal in Thursday night's win. Awesome. Start of the day. Start of the day. We love your stat of the day. Stat of the day. Stat of the day. Oh, damn. Give us the stat of the day. Stat of the day. Oh, thank you, Pandora. Thank you. Yeah, that's Pandora, who's from Las Vegas. That's your stat of the day, brought to you by Panini America. The official trading cards of the Dan Patrick show. Hopefully they're still our sponsor after that. Yes, Paul. So Jeff Skinner, you said 15 years in the NHL. He gets his first goal. Imagine the postseason. Postseason. Imagine the defenseman for the other team, like, and then you get yelled at. Why aren't you guys covering? Skinner guy, it's been 15 years. Yeah, he's he played in a thousand games, regular season games, never scored a goal. Just leave him alone over there. Right. A couple of phone calls here. Let me see. Doug in North Carolina. Good morning, Doug. What's on your mind today? Well, Dan, I'm hoping you can help me out with a little experiment. I came across the headline yesterday that read, it's not New York, it's not Illinois. The surprising state has the best pizza in America. So I clicked on it because of you. I thought, oh, it's got to be Connecticut. Dan and the boys always brag about Connecticut pizza. It wasn't Connecticut, according to the study, which coincidentally was funded by the lobster industry of Maine. I don't know why they funded it, but they did. The best pizza in America is in New Hampshire, and I'm figuring you have to drive through there to get home. We need a taste test to see if this is true. New Hampshire apparently has better pizza than Connecticut. That's blasphemous. I can't, I can't believe that. But, but hey, I'll have an open mind if I get to New Hampshire and I'll have to find the best, best pizza that they're talking about in New Hampshire. Yes, Todd, we've all seen those New Hampshire style pizza places that pop up all over the country. So I guess that makes sense. Yes, Marvin, there is a spot called Seacoast in York Beach, Maine. Phenomenal pizza. Okay. No, no, it's good. No, it is phenomenal. It's super Italian. Is it, Is it Connecticut worthy? Is it New Haven worthy? It's Fairfield county worthy. I don't want to put New Haven on it. I won't put New Haven. I, I. Look, there's so many. Like you can accidentally find great pizza in New Haven. Yeah, Paul, I found this study done by the main lobster now, which I've never heard of, but I'm not besmirching them in any way. The study was based on amount of pizzas per capita per person price for pizza in the state and the amount of time and regularity that people order pizza in a state. It's not necessarily about quality. It's about access to pizza. Cost of pizza. Back to you. Yeah, that's completely different. Right? I mean, Doug's got to do more homework than that. Better than that. It's, it's about taste, you know, that's it. Thin crust. That's it. A little crisp on it. Good to go. Yes, Todd. How could it be anything other than taste for that? What a waste of time. Convenience. So how much it cost, how many pies you buy on a given weekend? That's ridiculous. All right. Dave in Washington. Hi, Dave. What's on your mind? I like that we're all upset about this. I am. I got. There's certain things where you go, no, that's not correct. That's all. Hi, Dave. Hey, guys. So I'm thinking, you know, if we're gonna make the Thunder give the song back, let's have them give the team back to Seattle. I still. It's still weird when they go all the okc, the all time leading scorers in Oklahoma City and you'll see Dale Ellis in there and I mean, like. No, no. Xavier McDaniel with the rebound lit. No, no. Jack Sigma. No, no. Yes. Marvin. The beauty is if they go back to Seattle, they'll have no shortage of musical artists to choose from. That is true. That the. That's the least of their worries, though, is to find a theme song when they go back there. Steve in Stockton. Hi, Steve. Hey, what's going on, boys? I just wanted to comment and say the amount of times I'm watching an NHL team, an American NHL team, and they're up a goal or two, and then the moment they play Nickelback guarantee. Elboys, you guys have a good one. Thank you. Yeah. Fair creed. Florida. Florida owns Odin's Creed. That's a Tallahassee specifically. I think Florida State would be all over the Creeds. Okay, but what about Skynyrd is from Florida, but they gave us sweet home Alabama. Yeah. Okay. That could be grandfathered. Okay. Oh, we're grandfather. We can make an exception for things like that. Yeah. All right, all right, all right. One hour in the books on this Friday. It's a meat Friday. It's a brunchy new term. It's our. We're having brunchy today with the Traeger Grills. Will revisit the Knicks and the Pacers and Bryan Cranston, the great actor, in the final hour of the program. Hey, it's Ryan Seacrest for Albertsons and safeway.
