Got the king of comedy, Fritzi fresh off a wonderful performance. Except for the final hour of Friday's show. Todd Fritz is here. Seaton, Marv, Paulie, yours truly in the back room, guys. The Brgs. Yes, we will dive into Shador Sanders and why he fell and some of the surprises, highs and lows of the draft coming up. And tonight, Cavs, Heat, Rockets, warriors watching basketball yesterday over the weekend, the Thunder are going to have a lot of time to rest, although as a young team you probably don't want to rest too much. The cabs up 30 on the heat, Nuggets and Clippers series has been wonderful. Tied at two games apiece, the warriors lead the Rockets two games to one. Knicks got a gift at the buzzer as they beat the Pistons 31 and the Timberwolves over the Lakers yesterday afternoon. They're up three games to one. Magic and Celtics, it's Boston three games to one. Pacers in the Bucks three games to one. And looks like Dame Lillard's season is over and not sure the extent of that injury, but it certainly looked bad. I did watch a lot of the Lakers game because, well, we were trying to see if the Lakers are for real and I think there was a stretch when they won eight games in a row and I said if they Continue to play defense. And I thought they had depth, that they would be able to go against these younger teams. Minnesota's a younger team. Oklahoma City's a younger team. Houston's a younger team. You gotta have that energy, and they did not have that energy. JJ Redick didn't make a substitution in the second half. And LeBron looks spent. Luca still, I guess, recovering from flu like symptoms. And you cannot allow Anthony Edwards to get hot, to get confident. He is one of those guys. There's only a couple in the league. When he goes, you're not going to stop him. And he has energy and he gets the crowd into it. He's not afraid of anybody on the floor. And you saw that yesterday. LeBron looked tired. LeBron had a bad, bad sequence with a terrible three and then a lazy inbounds pass. They do have a chance at the very end. And I got Austin Reeves in the corner. That's why you're in the corner. Get your feet set to take that three pointer. You can win the game. You get the ball out of LeBron's hands, out of Lucas hands, you get it into Austin Reeves hands. He's in the corner. He takes an off balance three. He's not even squared up to the basket. And really that's one of those moments that, that'll come back and haunt them because now they're down three games to one. Here's LeBron James on not scoring in the fourth quarter. I mean, we had some really good looks. I mean, Luka missed a, you know, a point blank layup, you know, to put us up seven. You know, I missed a point blank layup to put us up four. You know, we had a couple opportunities. I don't think fatigue had anything to do with that. We just missed some point blank shots, you know. You know, we were getting into what we wanted to get into and we just wasn't able to convert. Okay, if it works, then, you know, not substituting, then we're probably saying, wow, that was a brave coaching decision by JJ Redick, who had this to say defending his strategy. Let's just start with Luka got tripped. I mean, that was a blatant trip. He doesn't just fall on his own. We watched it. You know, he gets tripped. So we should have been at the free throw line. You know, that's not an excuse for why we lost, but we got fouled and, you know, we had a chance to go up. You work on the end game stuff, you know, you draw it up and you tell guys, very specific Things we didn't execute it and very obvious we didn't execute it. So I don't know what, that's my only vantage point. You know, we just didn't execute it. Well, you didn't substitute and they look tired. Certainly LeBron did. And you know, Luca has been under the weather. I just gotta figure you put somebody in, just give him a little bit of a breather because Anthony Edwards and Nas Reed, I mean they got guys who are just going to be a high motor guy. Luca didn't get tripped. Luca stepped on the defender shoe. That's what happened. So he didn't get tripped and so there shouldn't have been free throws there. Austin Reeves wasn't ready to shoot a three. Like look at his, you know, his form. Terrible. LeBron takes a deep three. LeBron with the lazy inbounds pass. LeBron gets called for the foul against Anthony Edwards. That's where fatigue comes in where you do things and you don't go all the way through. Yeah, you missed the three. The inbounds pass was terrible. And you cost yourself you to keep up with these young teams in the West. Yeah, you do need a little bit of depth. And Lakers did not rely on any of that depth in the second half. So they're down three games to one. But you start to look at this O OKC's got more rest here now. I, I, I thought Golden State would beat Houston. I think Houston's on a fact finding mission of let's figure out now what we do next year because we're not going to win the title. But you know, Golden State, let's see if Jimmy Butler's able to play. Celtics that they're going to put away. Orlando, the Cavs looking good against Miami. You know, so there's, there's not a lot of drama other than what we saw with OKC in Denver or the Clippers. And, and Denver has been great. I mean that's spirited. That's back and forth, a couple of possessions. It feels like every single game. And some basketball coming up tonight. 8, 7, 7, 3 DP show. We'll get to your phone calls. Best and worst of the weekend. What you saw that you liked, you didn't like. But the timberwolves rallying from 12 down late in the third quarter. And Minnesota outscored the Lakers in the fourth quarter so far. So so far in all these games, Minnesota's outscored the lakers in the fourth quarter by combined 105 to 69. Whoa. Oh. Start of the day, start of the Day, Start of the day, start of the day. This is the start of the day. Knowing those numbers, that comes back to fatigue to a certain degree. That comes back to depth to a certain degree. You're getting blown out in the fourth quarter by a younger team. Odds to win the title. It's still the Thunder and the Celtics, the prohibitive favorites. Then it's the Cavs, and then after that, it's a distant Golden State and the Clippers. By the way, it's so interesting, the number of people, NBA friends that I have, they're like, hey, how about Kawhi Leonard? And I go, no one ever said anything negative about Kawhi Leonard. When he plays, it's just he doesn't play. So, yeah, when he does play, I expect him to be great. It's just I don't expect him to play. But he's a wonderful player, but we kind of forgot about him. And then all of a sudden he puts up, you know, 30, and we're like, yeah, how about that Kawhi Leonard? I go, yes, he's supposed to be great. Just play more than 37 games this year. That's not asking too much. Okay, Seaton, what's poll question today? Well, we got one here from Marvin. This one. We might as well jump right ahead to it. Now that the NFL draft is over, who do you want to see in Hard Knocks this season? Oh, Cleveland. I mean, right? Cleveland. That's it. It's got to be Cleveland. Cleveland. Yeah, I'm close. Yeah. But it was one of those stories that I wanted it to go away. But if you're NFL Network and the mothership, you didn't want it to go away because the number of people who stayed tuned to the weekend, you know, the Friday and Saturday of the NFL draft and ratings were up, I think 40% for the second day of the draft or the, no, the final day of the draft. That's unheard of. But it's because of one story, one player, Shador Sanders, and the number of revisionist history experts who've come out to tell us now why Shador Sanders dropped. Where were you guys before the draft? Where, where was everybody before this happened? The only thing I told you was at the end of the show on Thursday prior to the first round, my source said, I don't have a first round grade on him. That was it. And he did say this wasn't. He didn't look at the interviewing or, or how poorly Shador Sanders interviewed. He said, I'm just looking at football stuff because I'M looking at what I saw now. He was at the Shrine bowl and, you know, Shador didn't do any of the drills down there and they felt that he was a little standoffish with that. Or, hey, I know where I'm going, where I'm going to be drafted. You know, I'll put up with this sort of dog and pony show. But you start to hear these stories that he's doing a FaceTime while he's in an interview with the Giants. With the team meeting, that would be a red flag. But do I think this is a league wide conspiracy? Do I think it's collusion? I don't. Because the NFL is cutthroat. These coaches know they get two years, maybe three at the most, to be able to hold onto their jobs or GMs. Do I think that everybody went, hey, I'm not taking him, I'm not taking him. I'm not taking him. The one team that really surprised me who did not take him was the Raiders, because Tom Brady's now in charge. Tom Brady has known Shador Sanders a long time. He has helped mentor him. He knows him. And they do have Geno Smith. But I thought if any team who knows him and has the opportunity to draft him, it's the Raiders because of Tom Brady. How many times did they pass on him and they eventually took a couple of quarterbacks at the end of the draft. That surprised me. I think Cleveland, look, do I think the owner said we're going to go up and get him for whatever reason? Yes, I do. I think this was a Jimmy Haslam telling the GM and the coach, let's go get him. You know, let's, let's stop this. He has a relationship with Dion. They developed a relationship during the whole draft process. But I do like that landing spot for him. I would not be surprised at all if Shador Sanders starts a game this year, at least one game with Cleveland. In fact, if you said over under one and a half games for Shador Sanders, I might go over. We've seen these guys who are fourth, fifth, sixth round picks now in the last couple of years, they get a chance to start. And I think Shador Sanders will get a chance to start. Did he get humbled? Yes, he did. I thought that that's where he was going to go. It's. It felt like that. I certainly felt that he was gonna. I thought he was gonna go first pick, second round. I just thought that that made sense. But it comes back to a lot of different things that it Felt like the guys who do mock drafts, all they did is take whatever was told to them, and then they just kept spitting it back out. Hey, it's. It's Shador Sanders. He might go three, he might go two. I mean, we put the over under at five and a half. I didn't know it'd be five and a half rounds. Vegas had it eight and a half. We thought he was going to go to the Saints. And then all of a sudden, this is where you get the professionals to look at a draft prospect, not guys who are mock draft people. Okay, a lot of that's for clicks. And there's a mock draft for next year already out. It's big business. We understand all of that, but when you get the guys whose jobs are to analyze this, that their job is like the mock draft guys don't get fired. If a scout screws up, the scout gets fired. That's where you get real intel. Now. It takes a while to get that intel. I'm still working on some Cleveland Browns intel, but, you know, that's where you get guys who come in and go, hey, I see this or I don't see that. You know, his arm strength, it's not great. Everybody kept saying the same thing. He's tough, and he is. I put him third on my Heisman ballot. He was tough in an offensive line that wasn't very good. He did have a bailout, certainly with a one great receiver and a very good receiver. Didn't have a running game at all. But some of the things that were said. Nick Baumgartner of the Athletic, he was talking about how Shador Sanders, he basically said to teams, look at the tape. I don't need to be working out. And he goes on to say in his article on the Athletic, you cannot simply declare yourself something you aren't and hope nobody checks on it. Todd McShay had some things to say about this, about what happened with the Giants. It didn't go well. Frustration with him not being prepared. Basically didn't want to go through what everybody else went through. And then the Giants traded up to take Jackson Dart from Ole Miss. Baumgartner goes on to write, the reality here is that Chador Sanders is a good football player, a quality prospect, and someone who could eventually turn into a functional starter so long as he's surrounded by talent and a strong offensive line. But the questions about his arm talent size, pocket processing and general overconfidence were very real. All right, yet another draft analyst who said personality nitpicks. Wouldn't be an issue if he had put together a better tape. One evaluator said that Sanders would have gotten a third round grade in a year with better QB prospects. Now I do believe that. I think he was elevated because there weren't great quarterbacks and Cam Ward would have been the fifth or sixth quarterback last year. So where would Shador Sanders had been on that list? He might have been the eighth or ninth quarterback taken. There were other quarterbacks the teams felt more comfortable with. Jackson Dart is probably a better athlete than Shador Jackson Dart is a really good quarterback. Thought he was going to be a first round pick. Did I think Shedor was going to fall this far? Absolutely not. But you go back to how good are you and you know there's a sliding scale of productivity and then you have this sideshow like Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow was not going to be brought in by teams and they would say this. They didn't want more attention for their backup quarterback than their starting quarterback. So it does happen. Cam Newton, same way. I was just surprised. I thought that in, in a draft that didn't have great quarterbacks maybe somebody's going to take a chance. Now Dylan Gabriel at Oregon is a better athlete than Shador Sanders. He has more passing yards and more passing touchdowns than anybody in the history of college football. He's a Russell Wilson type, left handed and very athletic. Cleveland takes him. So that quarterback room is going to be interesting. You're going to have Joe Flacco in there be like a daycare. You know he's in there and he's 40 years of age and he's got all these younger guys in there. Remember they traded for Kenny Pickett like and you still have desean Watson. It's so Brownsian to do what they did. They congratulations. They did a wonderful job. But I do think Shador Sanders went to the right place for him because he can prove himself. They don't have proven talent in that room except for Joe. But Joe's 40 and a man so. All right, so a lot lot to talk about. Best and worst of the weekend. Settle on a poll question. In 2020, a group of young women in a tidy suburb of New York City found themselves in an AI fueled nightmare. Someone was posting photos. It was just me naked. Well, not me, but me with someone else's body parts on my body. Parts that looked exactly like my own. I wanted to throw up. I wanted to scream. It happened in Levittown, New York. But reporting the series took us through the darkest corners of the Internet and to the front lines of a global battle against deepfake pornography. This should be illegal, but what is this? This is a story about a technology that's moving faster than the law and about vigilantes trying to stem the tide. I'm Margie Murphy. And I'm Olivia Carville. This is Levittown, a new podcast from iHeart podcasts Bloomberg and Kaleidoscope. Listen to Levittown on Bloomberg's Big Take podcast. Find it on the iHeartradio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. We'll settle on a poll question. Your phone calls always welcome, as we always do. Best and worst of the weekend. There are a lot of quarterbacks who were drafted. You had Cam Ward of Course. And Jackson Dart. Tyler Shuck. Jalen Milro. I love Seattle. Taken. Jalen Milro thought it was great. Dylan Gabriel goes. Shador Sanders goes. Let's see. Kyle McCord of Syracuse. Will Howard went to the Steelers. I think that was a great pick. He might play, but it, it kind of reemphasize what I thought that they're waiting for Aaron Rodgers. I don't want to say they're praying for Aaron Rodgers, but they had an opportunity to take a quarterback at numerous times and. And chose not to. But Quinn Ewers going in the seventh round, that was a surprise. Graham Mertz from Florida, who was at Wisconsin. Riley Leonard at Notre Dame, went the sixth round here. Yes. I think it's crazy that Shador was taken in the fifth round and he was only the fifth quarterback to go. You usually have 10, 15 quarterbacks taken by then. But he was the. We're talking all about how he fell. I was expected to see a dozen quarterbacks before him, but he was only the fifth and that was by the fifth round. That's crazy. There just weren't a lot of great quarterbacks. Maybe there was one great quarterback, maybe not any. Maybe a couple of good quarterbacks. The sixth quarterback taking whatever it was. Yeah. I told Paulie, I said, go back and look at some of the mock drafts leading up to the draft. Where was the furthest they saw Dion's son dropping? I got a dozen mock drafts from early last week from serious NFL people. The worst I could find is him going 35th overall. Yeah, just a touch in the second round. What's even more weird or equally weird? Quinn, yours was a second or third round draft pick a week ago. Two weeks ago he went in the seventh. That's a drastic fall. There's a guy who passed on 5 or 6 million to stay in college football to leave early. Yeah, I mean, I get it that, you know, you're. You're hyped coming out of high school. He went early to Ohio State, didn't work out. He went to Texas. He was first. The first nil player. It feels like in college football. But, you know, once again, there are people who study the draft. But are you. Are you able to do what the scouts do? You get all of that information and a lot of times it feels like nobody wants to be the outlier and go, you know, this guy isn't that good. Or this guy is really good. I mean, I remember the draft reports prospectus on Cam Newton. They were all over the place. And then, I don't know, is he a good enough passer? Is he. I don't know. He knows how to play football. He won a Heisman Trophy, a national title. Ah, gotta factor that in a little bit here. But do I think, and it was the number one question I got from people, do you think this was collusion with Shador Sanders? And I don't think it is. You know, people put out the word, is this race? You know, I mean not everything is racial like it could be. Maybe we're just assessing him and because of Dion then Dion's got a lot of friends in the media and there are a lot of people who are hyping him up. Well, he's going to get his opportunity here. When you go into a locker room, it's a democracy, all they want to know is can you play? That's it. I mean look at Tennessee with Will Levis. He couldn't play. He wasn't ready to play. They moved on and got a number one pick, got Cam Ward. They, they, they said it's not going to work out. He didn't get a lot of time. They move on. Josh Rosen didn't take long. Now you're going to bring in a quarterback so you, once you go in, all they care is can you help them win a football game? That's it. Yeah. See I like Josh Rose and that is just still underplayed. It is mean spirited how spectacularly bad that whole situation was. Hey, but go back and to be on. He's the most pro ready. He's the most pro ready and you're. These teams are going to regret passing on me, I'll tell you that. I am going to chip on the shoulder. I know I, you can have a chip on the shoulder like Drew Brees had his entire career. But Drew Brees was really, really good. One of the, you know, all time leaders in passing yards. I, I have a chip on my shoulder from my basketball career. It didn't mean anything. It just, you know, 50, 40 years later I'm like, damn it, I'm still want to prove myself. Yes, Todd was Josh Rosen. He was the one that had a Jacuzzi in his dorm room. That's all I know about Josh Rosen. Oh, he's the one that had the Jacuzzi inside. That's pretty co. Thank you, Todd. No athletic ability, knowledge of that. Yeah. Yes, Paul. I've got articles here about Josh Rosen after his freshman year. Said if he were available now, top 34 in the whole draft, he really didn't even get a shot his rookie year stats with Arizona are almost equal to the rookie year stats of Josh Allen in Buffalo. Yeah, but he never got another chance. Really? He never. He started three more games. He was out of the league by 25. How about the most bet team to win the super bowl since the draft ended? According to a friend in Vegas, which team is the most bet team to win the super bowl since the draft ended? Todd, I'm going to start with you. I'm going to say the Buffalo Bills. All right, Seaton O'Connor, once again, this is the most bet team, so you might be looking at the odds that will get you a better return. So I'm going to let you factor that in as well. Seaton. Let's say the Eagles of Philadelphia. Okay. Marvin. The Cincinnati Bengals. Okay. All right. Paul. The Washington Commanders. No. The Kansas City Chiefs. No. Baltimore Ravens. No. Detroit Lions. No. This is all lies. The Chicago Bears. Whoa. I'm sorry, you said the Super Bowl? Yes. Rose bowl, maybe. Yeah. Could the Bears win the Rose Bowl? New poll question. All right, couple of phone calls in here. Ryan in Costa Mesa leads off. Hey. Hey, Ryan. Hey, Dan. Thanks for taking my call. So I got a couple takes for you. I'll start with my humorous one. I saw that Bill Belichick's girlfriend shut down a question this weekend. I love it when kids stand up for their grandpa. And then I got a second take for you on Chidor Sanders. I was thinking about comparing it to the NBA and Bronny James in particular. Just two players with hyped up dads really wanting them to go to certain places. Bronny goes in the first round, Shador goes in the fifth round. Is it possible the NFL is more of a meritocracy than the NBA? Bronnie went in the second round. It's. This is cutthroat. In the NFL, you gotta win. Kevin Stefanski has to win in Cleveland. Former coach of the year. Who knows, like Brian Dable with the Giants. You've got to win. And we've seen these coaches who we think extend their warranty with the team because, hey, we drafted a quarterback. It didn't work out with the Bears, with Caleb Williams. Coaches get fired. It's cutthroat. If Shador Sanders can help you win games, then you'll put up with whatever else comes along with that. You will, you will. And in Cleveland. That's why I thought Cleveland should have taken Travis Hunter and Shador Sanders. Let's go. I would have been fine with that. I think Shador can play. I Think he can start in the NFL? I do, but I think he's one of those guys who needs a. A really solid team around him. He's not going to carry a team, but I do think that he is a solid quarterback. Now, you know, that's like saying it. You know, a girl has a good personality, but, you know, that's kind of the way I view him. I didn't think he was spectacular, but I thought he was tough. And I hope that he has that instead of a sense of entitlement, of, hey, I'm going to go out there and prove myself. And, like, now you have to. Your dad's not the coach. You have to prove yourself. It's the ultimate meritocracy, the ultimate democracy. Go in there and prove yourself. Lucas in Texas. Hi, Lucas. What's on your mind? Hey, Dan. Good morning. Good morning. You know, I. Watching all of this happen over the weekend with Shador, it really made me think that I want to give credit where credit is due. And I feel like a lot of NFL reporters, anyone worth their weight, you know, has been doing this for a while, has kind of been waving the flag, saying that this was, you know, a real possibility. It felt like they were saying, hey, no one is really in love with this guy. And it felt like there was this big disconnect between those reporters who are on the ground getting the facts and then the people that were building these mock drafts, because obviously you need clicks, you need engagement, you need to be in the conversation. And I'll be honest, I feel like, you know, I think shows kind of like yourselves and, you know, the mainstream shows probably tended more towards the. The. The mock draft crowd of, like, how do we keep this engaging and relevant, especially in a not really great draft overall from star power. I just want to give credit. I feel like these reporters were having good, honest and clear writing and reporting for a while, and I think if anyone, they should be kind of taking a victory lap today of. Kind of, we told you so. Yeah, but nobody saw this happening. And thanks for the phone call, Lucas. Nobody had him dropping this far. And now you're getting articles of people saying this is why he dropped. Well, I'd like to have had that before the draft started or before we went into Friday's second round. I mean, this isn't Aaron Rodgers dropping from maybe one down, you know, to whatever 20, 20 some picks. I mean, that was a precipitous drop there. This had a lot to do with off the field stuff. And if you have NFL reporters, were they Worried that there'd be blowback if they said that Shador Sanders is a third round draft pick or a fourth round draft pick. Because now you're getting the, hey, I heard. Or this is what I thought. I was told that. Okay, but that's what this is. That's your job. So I don't know if it's victory lap time. I mean, I think we were all kind of duped here. I didn't get information until Thursday morning during the show from my source who said, I don't have a first round grade on him. I mean, that's about as inflammatory as we had heard. He could go three, he could go to the Steelers, and then he didn't. And then all of a sudden, teams probably realized that this happened with that team, a team that could have taken him third overall, which is amazing. And if you go in there unprepared, you're taking a phone call, a zoom call, Facetime while you're in there with the team. All right, those are concerns. Go back to Kyler Murray. When Kyler Murray was on the show at the super bowl and he, of course, clammed up, didn't want to talk, didn't present himself as a professional. There were teams who took him off their draft board because of that. The interview with Kyler Murray was passed around the NFL from what I'm told, and there were two teams, maybe a third team, took him off their board. Now, they probably weren't going to be in a position to draft him, but they weren't going to. They didn't want to turn over their franchise to him. They thought he was young. They thought he was imitated. Well, thought he was young. They thought he was immature. So this happens. But I think because it's Dion and Shador, you know, it became a huge story. People cared about this. They wouldn't normally care. I mean, Quinn Ewers falls to the seventh round. Will Howard wins a national title at Ohio State. Nobody cared that they dropped. Let's see. Kevin in Texas. Hi, Kevin. What's on your mind? Hey, dp, you got a best and worst for you. Okay. Beth was three days of watching Mel Kuiper almost have an absolute heart attack on stage. Even Reese Davis, who's the calmest guy in media, had to check him on day three. But the worst is a little more interesting point and a good, you know, not a Deep Diver conspiracy. But I really think people aren't talking about enough what Dion said on your show when he said, I would never coach in the NFL unless my Quarterback was the sun. So there's probably 20 coaches that are on a one year. You know, we got to win this year. Who wants that cloud hanging over their head of saying, well, we could bring in Dion if. If all. If all else fails. I just want to get your thoughts on that. I. I can't rule it out. I can't. But do I think that Dion. Yeah, Remember Dion when he was on the show at the super bowl, and he said he's already contacted teams about drafting or not drafting his son? And I think he's quoted as saying that he would want his son to pull an Eli Manning if he was drafted by the Browns. He came out and said, you know, they got Joe Flacco. He's Dion's age. He hasn't said flattering things about the Cleveland Browns. And I get it, but. And yes, we did call for Deion Sanders, Fritchy Fritz. He reached out, see if we could have him on. But I did love the reaction to Shador Sanders being drafted by the Browns. Like, there was true joy there and. And not. It didn't look like he was, you know, kind of had his head down and whining moment or whatever. It was a true sense of joy and I'm sure, relief with that. I don't know him. We didn't have him on the show. I can only speak to what I've been told or what I've read. And once again, when I read something I respect, there are so many great writers out there, but if I can follow up with something that adds to that or maybe takes away from something, I mean, that's my. That's my job, and that's what I did. I was not taking everybody's word about Shador Sanders, but I was not taking everybody's word about a couple of players there, because if you have this, these sources, then why not ask and what's the worst thing they could say? I said this for two weeks leading up to the draft. I'm still trying to find out what the Cleveland Browns are doing. Well, I started to get information Thursday morning during my show. They clammed up. And then I was told yesterday by my source they had been working on this deal with Jacksonville for weeks. And I said, okay, would have been nice if you could have told me that prior to the draft. But, yeah, by all accounts, everybody loves what Jacksonville did, or I should say what Cleveland did, that they love what they did with that deal. Thought it was unbelievable haul for them. All right, let's see how good Mason Graham is. You got some draft picks there and okay. Travis Hunter is special though. Yeah, Paulie, that's the one. Hang up from the draft. I can't tell whether I completely love or completely hate what Cleveland did. Did they pass on Ohtani a football and draft a couple quarterbacks to make it even messier with their quarterback situation or the other way they built for the future? Got a lot of draft picks by someone overpaying and they have two young quarterbacks who could take over when they get rid of the mess. But I want to know if you're good at drafting. I can't tell. It's like I have. I have all these draft picks. Well, if you said it's Kansas City or Seattle or Baltimore, I'd go, oh boy. Good. That's good for you. It's the Browns, so I'm never quite sure when. When in doubt, doubt the Browns. More of your phone calls. 8, 7 7, 3 DP show Paul in Iowa. Hi, Paul. What do you have for me? Hey, Dan, I got a best and worst of the weekend, but your play of the day first. That made me think, does Carl Anthony Towns deserve the nickname Big Bodega already? I don't think so. But my best of the weekend, two Iowa State receivers, Jaden Higgins and Jalen Noel, both being drafted by the Texans. The Houston Texans now have three Iowa State receivers on their roster. Clone to the bone. And my worst of the weekend. Last night, as soon as Damian Lillard limped off the court, NBA Central posted on Twitter the Bovada odds for where is Doc Rivers coaching next year? What do you guys think? Fritzi, I. Well, let's. Let's ask Doc where he thinks he's coaching next year. You got to give me one more year, man. We had injuries. We got all kinds of issues. We got to give me one more year. All right. Thank you, Doc. Yeah, you just start to wonder about the bigger picture with Giannis. And. And look, we were. The consensus was you getting Dame. Now you get that pick and roll. Now you guys are going to be unstoppable. And it just hasn't gone as scripted and it looks bad for Dame. Buddha in San Francisco. Good morning, Buddha. What up, dp? Happy Monday, boys. Let's go, Fritz. Go. Well, Dan, I'm trying to stay positive, but as a die hard Lakers fan, this has been hard to watch, man. I mean, gosh, I miss Kobe. And somebody's got to tell the Lakers players then not to be surprised by Anthony Edwards. Physical. Physicality. He's a beast. And you know, Dan, like watching yesterday, Anthony Edwards and LeBron's back and forth, it made me think of like MJ and Magic during the dream team transition. Like there's a new sheriff in town and Anthony Edwards is not afraid and he's built like an NFL linebacker, man. I mean it's crazy. But best of the weekend, the interval draft and the motherships coverage coming to an end. It's so nice not to have to listen to all the places that Shadow is going to go and who's taking them and win. And I sure hope that Mel Kuiper is okay. And the worst of the weekend, all the people who think Travis Hunter can play both ways all game, I mean he's 175lbs soaking wet and the first time he gets run over by a Derrick Henry, he's going to be like, I think I may need to make some business decisions. Thank you, Buddha. Thank you. You know, Mel Kuiper is not a hot take guy. He truly believes, believed that Shador Sanders was a first round draft pick. And look, I love the passion that he has. Do I think they gave Mel too much airtime? I do because I think that the whole Shador Sanders, where's he going? Why isn't he going? Kind of hijacked the draft but it was a major reason why people tuned in on Saturday, stayed tuned in on Friday, dominated the, the sports news cycle. Why isn't he gone? What's this about? What do they have against him? What did he do? What did he not do? And we still don't have all those answers, but we will, we'll get those and there'll be more stories that come out. But no one had him going in the fifth round. I think if anybody had maybe in the second round, I mean Peter Schrager, who have as much respect for him as anybody, if not more so, who does this? He said on Thursday morning, I don't know where he's going because there were only a couple of teams that were going to use their first round draft pick on a quarterback. And one of those was the Saints perhaps and one of those was Pittsburgh perhaps. That was it. And then all of a sudden you get into the second round when is he a bargain? That's what I was told. Teams were going, he's too good to pass up. But they passed him up numerous times. Hour two on the way. Dan and the Dan ants, Dan Patrick show. A great lawn is like a great sports team.
