Phone calls always welcome operator Tyler sitting by 877-3-DP show email address dpdanpatrick.com Twitter handle @DP Show I got the odds from DraftKings this morning because I thought, well, the Rams were busy yesterday. What does that mean for their Super bowl odds? DraftKings has the Rams as the favorite plus 750, followed by the defending Super bowl champion Seahawks at plus 900. Then you have the Bills at plus 1000, followed by the Ravens Eagles. Also the Chiefs are in there after making this big trade. So the Eagles, Chiefs and Packers all at plus 1400 and the Rams over under went from 10 and a half to 11 a half yesterday after they made the trade for defensive back Trent McDuffie. This was a great move I think by both teams. The Rams look like a finished product last last year you had Matthew Stafford mvp, you had wide receivers, couple of really good defensive linemen. But the problem was the secondary. LA surrendered an average of 31 points in their losses last season. Mac Jones and Sam Darnold both threw for over 340 yards against the Rams. Bryce Young and Jalen Hurts threw a combined six touchdowns against this defense. So Sean McVeigh and Les Snead, the GM decided we can't ignore the evidence any longer. So they traded for Trent McDuffie with the Kansas City Chiefs. So the Rams are in a win now mode. And why not? You have an elite cornerback now. Now you can say, all right Trent, there's your guy. You got in Jigba. You Got to take him. And this is going to help out immensely with that defensive line because now you got a guy that you can put single coverage on some of the best receivers, but elite corners are rarely available. But you're chasing a Super bowl in your own division, chasing the defending champs, and you still have the Niners twice a year as well. But McDuffie is going to change the game for them. He's going to change matchups. And for a team already near the top, I like what they did. They want to stay on top of that mountain. But looking back at some of these games, week three, Jalen Hurts, three touchdowns, no interceptions. A.J. brown had 109 receiving yards. Then you had two weeks later against the Niners. Mac Jones throws for 340 yards, two touchdowns. Kendrick Bourne had 10 catches for 142 yards. Bryce Young in week 13, three touchdown passes. Then you had week 16. Sam Darnold, he goes for 270 yards. They lost to the Falcons, but nothing really notable as far as wide receivers there. And then the Seahawks in the playoffs. Sam Darnold, three touchdown passes over 340 yards and JSN had 10 catches for 150. Now you got a guy who's going to make you a whole lot better. And it will come down to this. It's still Matthew Stafford. If Matthew Stafford is able to stay upright for 17 weeks, rams are the team to be. I thought they were the team to beat last year, but look, they had a glaring weakness. And I love the fact that they were aggressive. You give up a lot. And I thought, well, Kansas City is getting rid of a 25 year old defensive back. Now you're gonna, somebody's gonna have to pay him and he's gonna make $25 million a year probably. But the Rams looking at this and saying, maybe we have a two year window with Matthew Stafford, let's go get it again. And they certainly went out and did that. The fact that they're going from 10 and a half to 11 and a half, no other team right now has a win total over under of 11 and a half. The Rams are the first team to get there. So that was yesterday. That was fun and a little bit surprising. But we'll talk some football. Your phone calls always welcome. Come up with a poll question as well. We have baseball going on somewhere in the world with the world baseball. Well, it is called the World Baseball Classic and USA versus Brazil on Friday. Plan accordingly. Lou Holtz passed away yesterday. He was in hospice for a while, age 89. And if you weren't around when he was at Notre Dame. You don't understand the magnitude of he. What he did, what the impact that he had on college football. He was one of the faces, one of the voices, very entertaining, and he brought Notre Dame a national championship. But if you were ever around him, he was. He was a guy who was going to entertain you. Had a lot of great stories, and he loved to share those. But he was more than just Notre Dame's head coach. He coached a variety of places, and I don't think he's in the. The hall of Fame. I, you know, maybe check that, Paulie. I don't know if Lou Holtz is in the College Football hall of Fame, which would surprise me, but somebody was talking about that to me yesterday.
E
Yes, Paul, he was inducted in the College Football hall of fame in 2008.
A
Oh, good. Okay. Yeah, because I know Digger Phelps, Notre Dame basketball coach, is not in the hall of Fame. Now, that's the Basketball hall of Fame. But for Lou Holtz, he was, as Paulie said, a pisser. Like, he. He wasn't afraid to give you an opinion, tweak you a little bit, yell at the officials, and, you know, you start to look at Notre Dame football. They've had a lot of great coaches there. Nobody more is charismatic, as charismatic as Lou Holtz, but at age 89, and he became a great analyst, a fun analyst. He was with Mark May, with the Mothership, Reese Davis. Reese tells a great story. He played with Lou Holtz at Augusta. Lou was a member of Augusta, and I think when he was at South Carolina, part of his deal when he was coaching there is he got a membership to Augusta. And later in his life, he couldn't really hit it very far. I don't know if he could ever hit it very far. But the fact that he took Reese Davis, Jay Billis, and I think Mark May to Augusta, and he told this story to Scott Van Pelt last night. But the par 3 12th, he would lay up. Now, yes, he would lay up on a hole that was 149 yards, and what he would do is he'd hit it before it got to Ray's Creek, and then he would chip up, and, you know, sometimes he would end up with a par, but he loved playing there. He loved bringing people there, and he would. He would chip up and right before the creek. So he probably hit it 120 yards, and then he would chip it onto the green on a par three. But Rhys Davis tells the story that Lou Holtz won a Bet with Mark May, and he had just had neck surgery. Lou had. And they were going to get a picture because Mark had to give him the money that he won on this bet. And Lou goes, hold on, hold on, hold on. He goes into the clubhouse, he gets his neck brace that he's supposed to be wearing, and he comes out for the picture. To make it even more like, how did you let a guy in a neck brace beat you in golf? Mark, maybe. But that was Lou. He was always one step ahead. And age of 89. He lived a very, very eventful life. Seaton, what's the poll question today?
D
We got two of them here. We might as well start with the Lou Holtz poll question. One of his most famous quotes, Dan, that you love is they put their pants on the same way that we do.
A
Yeah.
D
So it got me to thinking. When you are putting your pants on, left leg first, right leg first, are you not sure? I want to see if we all actually put our pants on the same way.
A
Yeah. This was Lou's, you know, famous quote that he would say to his players just to make it, you know, like, hey, they put their pants on same way we do. We can go out and beat these guys.
D
So are you a left leg first or a right leg first, or are you not sure?
A
I'm left leg.
D
Say I'm right leg.
A
Yeah.
D
And my right leg always goes in first.
A
Yeah. I go left. Yeah. Paulie.
E
I'm a two and jump guy. I put both feet in simultaneously. Pull and jump. It cuts off tons of time. Probably bought me an extra year of life.
D
I think you learned that when you were four, if I'm not mistaken.
A
Too probably.
E
I do. The edge of the bed, two feet in.
A
Pull, jump.
E
Just snap.
A
It's snap.
E
You kids out there don't try it without parental supervision.
A
Yeah. And a snap wouldn't jump.
E
I used to be left leg, right leg. Because right leg, left leg. You're a maniac.
A
Yeah. I'd be nervous, though. Degree of difficulty. Yes, Todd.
F
I wonder how many people, like me anyway, need to lean up against the wall or be in a seated position to put their pants down? Says a lot about your abs and I think your general core. Do you need to be, like, laying down or sitting or up against a wall to put your pants on?
A
How old are you?
F
I am 56.
A
Okay.
D
And you have to be seated to put your pants on?
F
I prefer it's more comfortable for me to be in a sitting position on the bed or up against the wall or just have some Kind of fulcrum to help me get my pants on.
A
Did you say fulcrum? Fulcrum. I'm going to. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's the first time fulcrum has ever been used on your.
F
I don't even know if I'm using it right, but it just sounds like a cool word.
E
Fulcrum is a pivot point or hinge.
F
Yeah. For me just, you know, just standing up and putting my pants. You know, I feel something in my lower back or my quad or something like that or a hamstring. I like to kind of. I need something to kind of lean on.
A
How about you, Marvin?
C
Right leg? Left leg.
A
Okay. It's fine. Anything else that we want to ponder with a poll question here? 2.
D
And jump. And Todd needs a fulcrum. This is. This is producing way more than I could have ever imagined.
F
I like to be propped up a little bit for the putting on of the.
E
I like to live on the edge.
A
Yeah.
D
Here's one from here. 1. Switching up topics A little bit. Here's one from Todd. That's funny. This is the Miles Gar poll question. How many speeding tickets would you need to get in less than 10 years to start slowing down? 3, 5, 7, or at least 9.
A
So he has nine speeding tickets in the last. Since 2017, I believe. So how do you keep your license? I know you just pay a fine, but don't you get points? Don't they. Don't you accumulate enough points that you get your license suspended?
F
At least he's not in the public eye where no one's going to find out about. He can just kind of like live under.
A
Thank you.
D
I wonder how bad of a speeding ticket it has to be. Like if you're always, you know, what is that saying? Like eight year, great, nine, you're mine. Or whatever. If you're always at like nine to ten miles an hour over where it's really not that big of a deal.
A
Or he's not.
D
Oh, it's a significant.
A
Oh, yeah, got it. He was clocked going 94 and a 70.
D
That's excessive.
A
He was clocked going 100 in a 60.
D
That is excessive.
A
Let's see.
E
Reckless, you might say he's a Miles Garrett of speeders.
A
Miles per hour.
D
Yeah.
A
65 in a 45.
D
That's too fast.
A
Yeah, but don't you get points against you and your license and you get a certain number of points and then your license gets suspended?
D
What do you think his insurance is? It's got to be astronomical.
A
I hope he's bundling with Liberty Mutual.
E
Reach out to him.
A
Yes. Yes.
F
What is the motivation, you think, for excessive speeding? You think it's cool you're in a big rush all the time? You like the feel?
A
How about you tell me?
F
Don't know. I don't really speed much. I'm the one that gets in trouble because I'm going too slow in the left lane, so I have to defer to you guys.
A
So what are my options here?
F
It's very cool to go fast. I like how it feels to be in a car that's going fast. I'm in a big rush. I'm very important, and I have to get somewhere as quickly as possible, even at the risk of injuring or killing other people on the road, because I have to just get there fast.
A
I don't know what his motivation is. I've never gotten a speeding ticket.
D
You've never gotten a speeding ticket?
A
No. Yeah. Polly.
E
I think with someone like Miles Garrett or anyone who has a sports car. I'm looking at his car. It's a $300,000 sports car. It's meant to be driven fast, and it's not meant to be on normal roadways. There must be almost like a tick that says, I bought this car. I'm going to stretch it out. It's wrong, but I think that's the motivation.
A
And Shador Sanders. Maybe it's something about the Cleveland Browns that he got to get out of
D
there as fast as he can get it. Now it makes sense.
A
Shador was arrested or. Well, he got a ticket a couple of times, I think, in his first year in Cleveland.
F
Yes, Todd, if you're not showing off, then why can't you just. He's got the money. Rent some time on a racetrack if you feel a need to go really fast and circle. So you're putting other people in danger and how much it costs to go to the Daytona or wherever you have to go. Just do that. Unless, again, you want to show off your car and how fast you can drive, then that's a whole other story. Yeah, I said it. Look at me and look at my fancy, expensive car and how fast I'm driving. Okay, I dare you to pull me over. I'm Miles Garrett.
A
If Miles Garrett came on the show,
F
I would say that.
A
You would.
F
Yeah. Only because you're putting other people's lives in danger because you have to drive your expensive car Fest.
A
Well, those are, you know, when you go a Hyundai in a 60 on the highway, Okay. I mean that, that to me, I, I got to take away your license, I would think. But I, once again, I, I grew up in Ohio, but I don't, I don't know what the laws are anymore with what happens when you get a speeding ticket. I thought that that counted as points and if you got to a certain number of points then they took away your license. Or at least I remember that happening to a couple of my friends who might have been drinking and driving as well. Yes, Paul.
E
I'm on the Ohio DMV website of course, Dan, and they do have a point system and if you go over 12 points for various infractions in a two year period, you get a six month suspended license. So apparently.
A
But if you get caught speeding it in Ohio, does that are those points that go on your license?
E
It also says if you have 15 plus sacks and our defensive player of the year, all rules are waived. It's in the fine print.
A
Yeah, but they still, they, they give him a ticket. It's not like they let him go. Yeah, I mean you still have to pay a fine. He doesn't have to go to court. I don't think. Isn't there a like a miles per hour margin where you go, I think you're going to have to go see the judge for that one.
D
Definitely.
A
Right.
D
You don't want to get a speeding ticket where they're like, okay, and so your car stays here and you're coming with us. That's, that's a very bad speeding ticket,
A
one you do not want. But 40 miles an hour over the speed limit.
D
Excessive.
A

No, I mean, we could make. Well, yeah, I guess we can. If Trugreen's doing all the work. No one makes it easier. They handle the treatments, the timing, everything.
E
I feel like you see them everywhere.
A
Yeah. Beautiful lawns. And you know, it's true Green America's number one lawn care company. And chances are they're already in your neighborhood.

I'll play, but I'm not mowing.

People want to know about the team building lunch that we had yesterday. All you can eat sushi. And at the very end of the meal, Todd goes to the bathroom, and Eric, the big German, pays the check. But we wanted to give the impression to Todd that he was being left with a check when he came out of the bathroom. How surprised were you when you came out and nobody was there?
F
I was very surprised. And I started profusely sweating six different types of sushi because I know that's about 40, 45 a pop. And there was about a dozen of us, so do the math. A few people had beverages, and I'm like, this is going to be like six, seven hundred dollars where everybody go, there better be. And I opened up the thing, there better be a credit card in there. When I opened up the little booklet
A
to say, yeah, you were okay, and
F
there wasn't a credit card in there,
A
we had already paid.
F
I wasn't aware of that. And I'm like, I can't believe these guys. And then with. With my arms, which are only a quarter inch shorter than yours, I still had trouble reaching to my wallet to see if I had to really figure
A
this out, would you have left the restaurant without paying?
F
I walked out of the restaurant looking around to see where everyone was, and I wasn't intending. I think I just dined and danced. If everybody left, no one's going to
C
pay for this thing.
A
And you were the one that didn't want to Go. You were like told to go. And you go. It's not optional.
F
I thought it was mandatory. But I ended up having a good time. And I had chocolate ice cream, vanilla ice cream, a fried oreo cookie, sushi teriyaki chicken. I went to town.
A
You had four desserts.
F
I was not shy about that. Then Mario had the golf on the other side table. Could I have one of the. I said, there's only two on the plate of the fried. So you're having 50% of my dessert here?
A
Yes, Paul.
E
We ordered shared desserts, which is a little odd because they had these fried oreo cookies and they came like three to a little plate. And we were sharing them. And Todd had his own. He was hoarding a little bit. Mario asked for one, and it was not looked upon.
A
Favor Todd. It was a team building.
F
I know, but it was like three sections. It was one big table, but it was like three groups of four. And I asked the guys in my little group of four, are you guys having any dessert? And they said no. And I proceeded to fill out the form. Vanilla ice cream. Yes. Chocolate ice cream.
C
Yes.
F
Fried oreo cookies. And it all came. So I assume this is all for me. Everyone didn't want it, at least in my section. Then Mario all the way the other end of the table. Can I have one of those fried oreo cookies?
A
Once again, it was a team building. Was it?
F
Now when it comes to dessert, there's no team.
A
Yeah. Yes, Marvin.
C
So Fritzi is selfish and negative.
E
There's no eye in dessert.
F
I was seriously on my way to my car going like, I can't believe no one paid the check. It would just go all. After eating six seven hundred dollars worth of food. We're just going to leave here a
A
couple of phone calls in here, settle on a poll question. More on the Raiders with the Max Crosby situation. Mike Silver with the Athletic. He had a long column, a deep dive on the Raiders, and he's like, you know, hey, this is going to happen. Max Crosby not playing for the Raiders. And now just get it over with. You know, the thing I don't understand is what the Bengals did with Trey Hendrickson because they franchised him. And then, you know, he played, but he didn't play well this past year. Joe Burrow gets hurt, and you get to the trade deadline, and I'm thinking, now you trade. Trade Trey Hendrickson. They didn't. And so now he's a free agent. They got nothing out of that. At at least trade him during the season and get something instead they got nothing for Trey Hendrickson. Kind of surprised with whatever logic the Bengals, they can't have logic on this because the season was over. Now granted, Joe came back and there, there was the possibility Betrayed didn't play very well, but you could have. And you know, there was so much drama leading up to that. I don't know how healthy or ready he was for the season. And at the trade deadline, I got to get something. Yeah.
E
Paul, as long as we're talking about things that bother us, I don't think this is great at all. For the Chiefs. They got one draft pick, big draft pick back. But it's towards the end of the first round, the 29th from the Rams. Trent McDuffie is a All Pro or second team All Pro defensive back. You, you wish to get guys like that on their team, you're in Mahomes prime. You don't give this guy another contract and lock him up for Mahomes prime.
A
Yeah, but they didn't get just one draft pick.
E
No, they got others, but I don't know, they're going to have to replace him and he seems somewhat irreplaceable at 25 years old. All pro.
A
They got holes. Now, granted, you know, you're going to say, well, you got to fill that hole now too. But how many draft picks do they get? Like four draft picks. And they got another first round pick this year. And the Rams don't care about first round picks. What is it, nine out of the last 10 years, they've traded nine of 10. Jared Verse is the guy they kept. Right. And that turned out to be a great draft pick. But the Rams are like, hey, we'll trade them, we don't care. But for the Chiefs, it felt like I was surprised from the standpoint of Vegas says 10 and a half wins over under for the Chiefs. And I'm thinking, I don't know if Mahomes is going to be ready to go if Kelsey comes back, who cares? Like I, you know, not quite sure. Like if I'm a Chiefs fan, I don't think we're better today. But then this is a team that is pretty good at finding some talent. You know, maybe, maybe Jeremiah Love falls in your lap. That would be a big upgrade. But yeah, I think that they, there's a few more holes that they have to fill. But they did just create a pretty large one with Trent McDuffie. Ben in Milwaukee. Good morning, Ben. What's on your mind today?
G
Good morning, Dan. And Dan chuckled at the Miles Garrett, I was wondering, is Cleveland. Play in Europe next year. Just take an extra day and go to the Autobahn. He can ride his heart out.
A
I like that. Can we check the Brown schedule? Do they play in London next year or some other place? I've been on the Autobahn before, and it's wild because you just have cars that, like these BMWs that just come up on you and you're not Todd. They. You would not do well on the Autobahn.
F
I don't like that.
A
Stay in the right lane. Yeah, because they come up on you and they are flying. And these cars, they are. They are built for the Autobahn. Kurt in Wisconsin. Hi, Kurt. What's on your mind?
G
Hey, thanks for taking my call. Second time, long time. 5, 9, hard 175. I gotta do a shout out to you, Dan, and your incident the other day. I think you saved my house from burning down. I'm gonna set the story. My wife had a colonoscopy done here yesterday, and she was doing the prep solution the night before, and she was in the bathroom, and it got so bad in there, I told her to open the window and light some incense. Well, I go in there and she's got the incense burning and all the old sticks and stuff. And with the methane that was in there, it was an accident waiting to happen. So I just wanted to thank you for. A lot of good can come out of bad. So kudos to you guys.
A
Well, thank you, Kurt. Probably too much information there, throwing your wife under the bus. Yes, Paul.
E
However, you may have saved a lot.
A
I, I. Yes, I did.
E
Yeah.
A
Yeah.
E
Put it on the chart.
A
Yeah. Yes.
D
That meant suggesting that the atmosphere surrounding the bathroom after his wife had used it.
A
Yeah.
D
Should someone have lit a match, it would have caused an explosion.
E
Methane.
D
Is that what we were just hearing right there?
A
I think what he was saying is his wife was burning incense and it burned down, just like my accident. My, you know, fire that raged out of control.
D
Hear the word methane used, which made me concerned that perhaps there was no. I ever, like, light your fart on fire when you were a teenager. That's.
A
Well, thank you, Kurt. Thank you. The Brown. Good luck with this one. The Browns,
F
really?
C
Unintentional.
A
Unintentional.
E
Segue, kill.
D
Segue kill.
F
Better than that.
A
Is that like a segue?
E
Classic radio segue.
A
Kill, penalty kill or whatever. The Cleveland Browns, they play the Saints in Paris, so I don't know how far. You know, if you take the Chunnel, then maybe you could go into the Autobahn.
E
Send that Emmy over.
A
We're gonna win it this year. They're gonna have to give it to us. There is going to be a pro. There will be people outside in New York with signs protesting if we don't win the sports Emmy this year. And I'm not encouraging this behavior, but I welcome it. I'm not discouraging. Yes, Marvin.
C
So that's the. Basically, the BRGs holding up okay?
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's not beneath me to hire people to protest on our behalf. Let's see. Tommy in Albany. Good morning, Tommy. How are you?
G
Longtime listener, first time caller. 6, 1, 2, 25. I got to thinking about your Lou Holtz pants scenario, and it got me thinking. To skateboarding and snowboarding, it's all about what foot you put forward when either kicking a soccer ball or walking upstairs or riding a skateboard or snowboard. And it would be referred to as goofy or regular.
A
Yeah.
G
So, yeah, if you put your right foot in first, you'd be goofy. So I think we may have stumbled upon how people put their pants on.
A
Are you goofy or are you regular? I am goofy, yes.
D
See? But I would be the exact opposite, because I ride regular but put my right foot in first. So right foot would be goofy. But I actually snowboard regular.
A
I've only tried to snowboard once, and I remember locking in my left leg with my knee, and I went, nope, nope, that's it.
D
That's not gonna work.
A
And. And then my son goes, well, just. Just go down the hill. I go, no, just go down this little hill. Here I go. All right, I'll go down the little hill. Went down a little hill of about, you know, 25ft. Got. Took. Took off this snowboard right away. Like, I'm done. I'm going snowshoeing. Yes, Paulie, but.
E
And falling on a snowboard, it's. With you, you fall, like, back. Skate skiing is more like a catastrophe. Stuff flies all over. Nothing flies off you when you're snowboarding.
A
Yeah, I'm not interested in doing either. Yeah, but then you see these little kids, you know, we'd put our kids on skis when they'd be like three or four. They just zoom down the mountain. You know, you get that low center of gravity, and they'd be like, zoom, zoom. And then, you know, you'd have to do a pizza, you know, with your. Your skis or French fries or whatever it's called.
E
Yeah, you got it.
A
Yeah, I got it.
E
S. Turns.
A
Yeah. I might have been there for some of those moments with my kids.
F
Yes, Todd, is it considered Skiing, if you put the equipment on and just kind of walk around it and you don't actually go sliding down just to get a feel for what it feels like. Like on my high school trip, high school, senior trip, we went skiing and I tried, I put everything on and then I just kind of walked around in them for a few minutes and then I went back inside and sat by the fireplace and had hot chocolate.
A
Drew in Cincinnati. Hi, Drew.
F
I saw what you did there.
A
Well, no, you brought it back to you.
F
I thought you were kind of sharing snowshoeing and ski experiences.
A
Drew, very dismissive. The Browns. Drew in Cincinnati. Hi, Drew.
G
Hey, Dan. 5 11, 205. First time, long time. So according to Rapaport last year the Bengals were only offered a fourth round pick for Trey, and the Bengals thought that was too low. Also, if they let him walk like they did next year, they get a comp. If they don't sign someone of similar value at the same position, they would get in 20, 27, a third round pick. So I don't know if it's as bad as what we thought for letting him walk.
A
Okay. Yeah, I mean, I thought they were going to trade him. And at the time, if you could only get a fourth round pick, I mean, I'm surprised at that. But this was a team that you, if you were competitive, you would have kept him, but you weren't a competitive team and you just lost Joe Burrow. I would have thought that you could have gotten something for him and now you get a compensatory pick. Thank you for updating that, Drew. Ken in Connecticut. Hi, Ken.
G
Hey, good morning, dan. Dan at 6ft, hard, 195 hard. Two quick things. When I first got my license, I got two speeding tickets within a year period. And after the second ticket, I had to go to what was called at the time, driver retraining. And that was easily the most boring, excruciating six hours of my life, having to relearn the rules of the road. So needless to say, I've never gone over 67 miles an hour on the highway again. And secondarily, I love the bed and breakfast idea that you had the other day living here in Connecticut. I was wondering, until that happens, do you guys offer tours of the man cave or is that something you would consider?
A
No, we don't offer insurance reasons. No, we've been asked and no, because if you open it up and you know that no, that wouldn't go well. Be like, wait a minute. There was a time where one person who was working here. He brought his wife. I didn't know a, that he had a wife. I didn't know who she was. And I'm come into the man cave and I see a woman coming out of the bathroom and I go, what is, what is going on here? What? Turns out big German's brother Jay brought his wife to the man cave. And I'm like, what do we, what's going on here?
D
Is this mvbrgj?
A
Yes. Yes.
F
Name of names.
A
Yes. But this was a while ago. This was a, like a year ago. Before he became the most valuable backroom guy. Yes. Marvin.
C
I think it was even further because I wasn't a Dan. That's how long ago.
A
So it's over three years.
C
Yeah. And your face, because you guys were doing a, a photo shoot and she walks out of the bathroom in your face and you said something like, who is this? Like, oh, that's Mrs. Guy.
A
And then I go, what is, is this conjugal visits here? Like, what's going on here? And he still never introduced me to his wife.
G
Never?
A
No. At the Christmas party this year, he introduced me to his wife. I said, well, I, I, I saw you in the man cave a couple of years ago. I can't, I can't leave this environment. You know, maybe I'm going to sign up for another couple of years.
E
Binding contract. Verbal binding.
A
Yeah, no. How about we take a break? What?
C
You know how excited you just made America just now.
A
I know, I know, but I.
C
Two more years, you said?
A
Yeah, I have two more years.
C
So Super Bowl 20, 30.
A
No. Okay. I have two more years.
D
Gonna be two more years of you pump faking people like that.
A
Yeah, that's what it's gonna be. 23 months.
D
I don't know.
A
Maybe. Could be, Might be. All right, we'll take a break. Got our play of the day up next. Back after this, Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all of our shows@foxsportsradio.com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to listen live

You see, these golfers mistaken the True Green lawns for an actual golf course. Have you noticed that?
C
Come on.
A
No, no, I'm serious. Happens all the time. And you know, they're the official lawn care treatment provider, the PGA Tour. So they know what it takes to get golf course quality lawns.
D
So you're saying we could host a tournament out back?
A
No, I mean we could make. Yeah, I guess we can. If True Green's doing all the work, no one makes it easier. They handle the treatments, the timing, everything.
E
I feel like you see them everywhere.
A
Yeah. Beautiful lawns. And you know it's True Green America's number one lawn care company. And chances are they're already in your neighborhood.

Nobody really prepares you for this part of life. When I had some guests stay with me recently, I realized I was missing a few key essentials. I hate when that happens. Really? No more paper towels. Down to the last pigs in a blanket. So soon? I didn't want to interrupt our time together by running to the store or give off the impression that I was unprepared for my guests. Moments like that are a perfect example of how everyday life can surprise you. Some days go as planned and other days, well, life throws curve balls. It's not always convenient. That's why I went straight to Amazon. Amazon helps make it easier to manage both the routine and the unexpected. From household basics to last minute replacements. Oh, my God. The play of the day. This is the play of the day. Check this out on a crowd. Every time he touches it now, he drives right by walls into the lake, goes up and he spikes it down. Flawless finish for Brandon Miller. His first bucket of the game. It's a Dr. Pepper dunk. Charlotte up by 14, courtesy of the Hornets radio network. My hornets are now above.500 for the first time since October. They only had five turnovers. They never trailed. Biggest margin of victory over the Celtics in franchise history. As they rough up the Celtics on the road, they're fun to watch. I don't know how threatening they're going to be. I think they're a nine seed. It's early for my Hornets, but they're fun. They are fun to watch. And of course, you can't think about the Hornets and not think about the 90s when Larry Johnson was their grandmama. And those teal starter jackets.
C
Yes, Marvin, those starter jackets. Teal was a cheat code in the 90s. Like whenever a new franchise came around. Yeah, the Marlins, the Diamondbacks, the Pistons changed their uniforms. They went teal. It was a cheat code at that point. All starting with the Charlotte Hornets for sure.

Thanks for calling me back.
A
Yep.
G
So, you know, I got plenty of sports takes, Dan. I've called him before, but, you know, I, I heard something on your show earlier today that a grown man, you know, 45 years of age, give or take a few years, Paul Pabst said he jumps into his pants every morning. Now, Dan, this is something that the I team really needs to, really needs to get down on. So I'm going to request that the I team gets on this and we see video evidence of this Paulie pants jump at some point today. Because now, now we can make a family friendly, you know, it doesn't have to, you know, be anything, you know, privacy for Paul. But Dan, this type of psychotic behavior is the exact reason that the Itam was created, so I'm gonna leave it up to you, but I think the. The viewers would like to see this in a, you know, in a commercial break at some point today or, you know, maybe make Dylan do it. Maybe Paulie can, you know, show Dylan how to do the pants jump. But we're gonna. We're really gonna see this, so I'm gonna hang up and watch. Dan, thank you.
A
All right. Thank you, Austin. A lot of people not quite sure what to make of you jumping into your pants each morning as opposed to out of them. Yes.
E
It's like a Lean back on the bed, two feet in, rock back, jump up, pull, secure. Like that.
A
Carry.
E
Struggling.
A
Oh, okay, you land. You landed it.
E
Landed the vault.
A
Arms up. Okay. Part of the problem is Paulie leads the I team. In fact, he's the only member of the I team.
E
Conflict of interest.
A
Yes. But if we can somehow recreate Paulie jumping into his pants in the morning, then we'll certainly try to do that. Peaked. Yes. Chris in Syracuse. Hi, Chris.
G
Hey, thanks, Danny. I got two things for you. It's now March, and Aaron Rodgers is still keeping the NFL and mainly the Steelers, guessing on his future. He's so cryptic when it comes to his professional and personal life. And whoever gets that first picture of Aaron Rodgers and his mystery bride, that may be an even bigger story than where he ends up next fall. And I love. When Lou Holtz first came to Notre Dame, he had the players names removed from their jerseys, giving the Fighting Irish and New York Yankee feel. And even though the Irish haven't won a title since 1988, thanks in big part to Lou Holtz, they still have that New York Yankee feel.
A
Thank you, Chris.
F
Yeah.
A
I didn't remember them having their names on the back of their jerseys at Notre Dame. Yeah, I don't remember that. But I do know when Lou got there, Lou wanted to make sure. This is when they were labeling kids Prop 48. And it was unfortunate that you were labeled Prop 48, because then everybody viewed you as somebody who was not smart. But he got Tony Rice in. He was asking. And Jerome Bettis would tell me this, so I'm not speaking out of school, but he wanted. He had to get two players that probably wouldn't normally get into Notre Dame. And one of those players turned out to be Tony Rice, who's a wonderful person and turned out to be the ideal quarterback for Lou Holtz in winning a national championship. But he. He wanted. And. And then when Urban Meyer was leaving Utah, he wanted to go to Notre Dame. And Jerome Bettis told me this story. He said, I want the same thing that Lou Holtz had. I want to be able to get in a couple players that probably wouldn't be able to get in because of your academic standards. They said no. Urban Meyer kept going to Florida, and we know what happened there. Lucas in Texas. Hi, Lucas. What's on your mind?
G
Hey, Dan. Good morning.
A
Good morning.
G
Two things for you. Number one, hearing about Lou Holtz dying. You know, I started watching college football seriously in the 90s, and I feel like I kind of missed him at his peak. Obviously, at Notre Dame, it just feels like the end. Like he represents a certain kind of golden age for college football where, you know, getting a New Year's Day bowl meant something. It just felt like he represented kind of an age where college football still had this weight before it turned into this, you know, super TV ready product that everyone can have all the time. And number two, man, this is pertinent because I'm driving out on the road right now. You guys were talking about your approach to speed limits. I just saw a person get pulled over for speeding. Well, 25 miles an hour over the speed limit. My approach. I go right at the speed limit, set my cruise and forget about it. But I feel like you can learn a lot about people by their approach to the speed limit. So for you and the guys you see 70 miles an hour on the speed, what is your. What are you setting your Cruise control at?
A
79. If it's 70, then I might go to 79. 78. But once again, I've never had a speeding ticket. I was pulled over once and the police officer said, or the trooper said, where are you going? You're in a hurry. And then I told him where I was going and I was in a hurry, and then he let me go. I didn't play the. Don't. You knew who I am. I mean, I was willing to.
F
Yes, but he said, slow down, slow down. So you knew he knew who you were.
A
What's that? The sports card.
F
That wasn't a strong way to end the hour.
A
It wasn't good.
