The Pittsburgh Steelers said goodbye to George Pickens, sent him to the Cowboys for draft picks, getting at least a third round draft pick. And then I think there's some other paperwork in there of swapping some picks as well. And let me start there because that just happened this morning. Still finalizing this. Jerry Jones hinted at the Cowboys doing something prior to the draft or during the draft that maybe they were going to make some trades. I don't know if this was his big move, but he gets George Pickens. And one thing the Steelers do is they don't do very well when they draft wide receivers. Now they did get Antonio Brown for four time all pro. Chase Claypool had star written all over him, but he didn't last, I think more than two years in Pittsburgh. And Deontay Johnson, he had a thousand yard season. Now George Pickens, his second year in Pittsburgh had 1100 yards. But once they get traded, you know, it's like what Bill Belichick would do. He would trade you a year early than a year late. Antonio Brown never had a 1000 yard season after he left Pittsburgh. Chase Claypool went from promising star to never Getting more than 500 yards after being traded to Chicago. Deontay Johnson, 375 yards last season after leaving Pittsburgh. Now on his fourth team since leaving Pittsburgh. So he went from Pittsburgh to Carolina to Baltimore to Houston. Now with Cleveland, he signed a one year deal and a contract that's not guaranteed. And now you have George Pickens, Pickens in the last year of his contract and you get a guy who does Nike. He's a guy. If you see the highlights, you go, golly, that guy's good. And then you watch the game and you go, God, that guy's not good. You know when you talk about targets and I don't know what the average is for wide receiver, but you know, when you look at a catch percentage, it's probably in the 70s, I would guess for wide receivers. With Pickens, I think it's in the mid to upper 50s. That's not good. If he's your go to guy, you got DK Metcalf. Now there's, there's a lot of ways to look at this. So I'm looking at this at the Cowboys, okay? You get a guy last year of his deal, wants to prove that he can get that next contract. You got CD Lamb there, you know, Dak needs weapons there. Okay, all right. I mean, it's okay, but then I look at the Pittsburgh Steelers. If I'm trying to get Aaron Rogers to come to town, okay, I got DK Metcalf. Friar Muth is a good tight end. Okay. I just got rid of Naji Harris. Okay. And if I'm Aaron Rogers, I'm looking at this going, who else? Who else am I going to throw to here? Because I'm going to guess defenses are going to focus on DK Metcalf. But you didn't draft a wide receiver. So does that make you lean towards their getting Aaron Rodgers or not getting Aaron Rodgers? And if they're getting rid of one of their better wide receivers, who else are they getting rid of? Are the Steelers looking at surveying? Let's just start with their division. Where do they stand? Well, they're third. Okay. You got T.J. watt, who's going to want $40 million a year. Are you going to pony up for that? What do you have to pay Aaron Rodgers if he comes to town? If you're Aaron Rodgers, do you want to come to town? Cowboys, they got to roll the dice mirror in a tough division and, and the Giants will be better. The over under for the Cowboys is 7 and a half wins. That's surprising to me because I would have thought maybe, maybe at nine, nine and a half. But you're in there with Washington now. I think Washington takes a step back a little bit because they won, I think seven games in the last possession. You can't sustain that. The Eagles, we know will be really good and the Giants will get better as well. But if you're, if you're Dallas, you gotta do something. I would expect that they do more than this. You still gotta pay. Micah Parsons, you know, Dak, at his age and injury prone, I don't like that situation. I thought that they were going to make a splash and go after Ashton Genty. I thought, okay, you know, Jerry's going to go and get his next Emmett Smith. In fact, Genti was described as Emmett Smith with more speed. So the Cowboys roll the dice. They make a move here and Steelers get a third round draft pick. And it might be addition by subtraction if you look at what George Pickens has meant to, to this team. But Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh's got to do a whole lot better when it comes to wide receivers and quarterbacks. But you know, these guys don't get second contracts. None of them. But you make a move. Are there other moves to be made for both of these teams? Because they're both kind of, where are we? You know, Dallas might be third in their division, Pittsburgh third in their division. But we'll check in with the Steelers coming up a little bit later on. All right, back to last night. The Indiana Pacers did it again. And there's a crazy stat that's going around, and it should be mentioned. The Pacers, so they win the first two games of the playoff series on the road. But the. I guess the amazing part of this, they outscored Cleveland eight to nothing in the final 50 seconds to win it. And since 1998, playoff teams have won three games when trailing by seven points or less in the final minute of. Of a fourth quarter or overtime. So three times playoff teams have won when trailing by seven or more in the final minute of the fourth quarter overtime. The Pacers own two of those three. So how many games are we talking about where we've had that. That scenario? 1,640 teams are three and 1,640 when trailing by seven points or less in the final minute of fourth quarter overtime. And the Pacers own two of those three wins, both this postseason. Stat of the day. Stat of the day. Stat of the day. Stat of the day. Here comes that. What? Stat of the day. Stat of the day, brought to you by Panini America. The official trading cards of the program. You have to find ways to lose. And Cleveland was banged up. Donovan Mitchell gave you a great performance, but he was spent. He was spent. I think he averaged around 31 minutes per game during the regular season because they have a deep team and they were blowing people out. Now you got to have him play almost 40 minutes. I think he played 36, 37 minutes last night. And he looked tired at the very end. Can't get the ball inbounds. You know, you don't fully block out Tyrese Halliburton. Halliburton is going to miss the free throw on purpose. You have one thing to do. Make sure that you box out the shooter. Halliburton made a great play. Grabs. It goes back. I thought that they were playing decent defense. They were forcing him to go left. He got the shot off. This is how it sounded. Nine seconds. They do have a timeout. Carlisle's gonna let him play. Halliburton steps back and hits Tyrese Halliburton trying to take Cleveland's heart. And it is over. The Indiana Pacers in a game two stunner. Now Indiana, I thought they were going to blow a great chance to go up two zero because Cleveland's without three starters. And you. You should win this game. But they were blowing it. And I thought, boy, you're going to look back and if Cleveland, when they get healthy and then all of a sudden Cleveland's going to be the better team once again. I'm not surprised that the Pacers are up too. Well, I said at the start of the series, I wouldn't be surprised if they won the series because this is probably the first time you're watching the Pacers play or maybe the last series against Milwaukee. You got a chance to watch them, but now they're facing Cleveland. Now you're going to watch them and you see that Hal Burton is a really good player. He wants the ball in big time situations. And I love that you got an experienced coach and Rick Carlisle, like they've been here last year, Eastern Conference finals. They're a really good team. But Cleveland being banged up. Mitchell was wonderful last night, but now you're on the road going back to Indiana and you're down two games to none. Watching the Minnesota series, I kept thinking, where is the energy with Minnesota? I thought that they were going to be, you know, like kids eating candy on Halloween night. Like you're just, you're got so much energy, you're bouncing off the wall. They didn't have that. And that was probably the most surprising part of that, is I thought Anthony Edwards was going to put on a show. I thought he was going to go, I'm going to go off tonight. So you, you get Steph Curry, who had I think 13 points in the first half and he pulled up with a hammy injury. And you know, when you don't go to the bench, you go right to the locker room, then you know it's serious. And Steve Kerr's already come out and said he doubts that he'll be able to play in game two. I don't think this is gamesmanship, I think it's real with a hamstring. But Chris Finch is the Timberwolves head coach and he talked about Anthony Edwards after the loss. What is there to talk about? I mean, you're the, you're the leader of the team and you gotta come out and set the tone, you know, in all ways that that happens. And if it's, if your shot's not going like you, you still have to carry the energy, you know, so I don't think there's, if I gotta talk to guys about having the right energy coming into opening round game, second round game. And you know, we're not, you know, we're not on the same page So I was surprised. I thought Anthony Edwards would bring the energy, but he didn't. You know, he had some decent numbers, but it's one of those where you watch the game. Those numbers aren't truly reflective of what kind of game that he played. But you don't have Steph Curry to worry about. But Buddy healed. Love it. Buddy healed. Take the shots, man. It was great. I was just really surprised that Golden State, you know, quick turnaround and you're going to Minnesota. Minnesota, you know, here's aunt. Who's. Who's going, hey, I've knocked off LeBron and I've knocked off Luca and, you know, go down the joker. Now I'm going to knock off Steph. I mean, that's quite a resume for somebody who's 23 years of age, but this is your moment. Now, I know he doesn't want to be the face of league, but you got to be the face of your franchise. I just. I was surprised. I thought he was going to put up 40. I thought it was going to be, hey, time to take over here, Steph. You had a great run. It's now my turn, and it didn't happen last night. All right, Seaton, what's the poll question? We're going to go with. We got a bunch of options here for you. All right. By the way, we were just talking about, Paulie and I, about the low energy response from the coach, about getting more energy from the team, which is kind of ironic. It was the least energetic criticism. Let me. Let me hear a little bit more from Coach Finch. What is there to talk about? I mean, you're the. You're the leader of the team, and you gotta come out and set the tone, you know, in all ways that. That happens. And if it's. If your shot's not going like you, you still have to carry the energy, you know, not exactly win one for the G there. We're gonna win, win, win. Where's the energy, guys? You want to win the playoffs, you gotta come out with some energy. If you guys don't mind, could you. My sleep number setting is 75. Yes. Todd, I know you're asked a question, so it's not like it was just kind of something he just kind of threw out there to share with the press, but is that the best way to get a message to Anthony Edwards as opposed to talking to him afterwards about his energy and just kind of calling out your player in the beginning of a semifinal series? What do you think? I don't think it's A good look. Why is that funny? You always put it on me. I was asking. You're asking a question. You. A question, then you ask. Why don't you just say it? Because I want your opinion. No, but you want to tell me your opinion. Yeah, but I want to hear opinion by saying, well, do you think that's the best way to go? But instead of saying, I don't think that's the best way to go about getting Anthony Edwards to play harder. Okay. Wait, are you gonna. No, I just. I just. I posted as a question, but moving forward, I'll say statements instead of questions. Well, no, you. You do this. That's why I'm. I know where you're going with it, so I want to know why you're. I don't think that's quite an ask answer. Ask thing that I've been. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Easy. Here. Crucify. I think, you know, I. I just. I sometimes ask you how you feel, because you're giving me what you really feel, but you're doing it in a question form, that's all. Okay. I was just innocently asking your opinion. No, no, no. It's. It's okay. Share my opinion, like I thought. No, just relax. You're not being picked on. Everything's good. You got a nice giggle from the other side of the glass. So there was some kind of shot there, a little bit. Oh, My God, I'm 16 minutes in. We can't do this. And you know why there's a giggle is because almost everyone in the world can see what's coming except for you. And that's why it's funny, because you walk yourself into this situation all the time, and then it doesn't. It never works out. Well, that's kind of what the. But if a caller was to ask you a question, you wouldn't say, what do you think? Like, you would just. You wouldn't say. Usually callers give me an opinion when they call in, they want to tell me something. There was a hint of my opinion in the question. Todd, stop. Okay? You do this all the time, and I turn it back on you because you want to tell me something that you feel. I do. We do this in. Even when we're not on the radio. I. I say, well, what do you think? So that's all this is. I just ask you what you thought. Everybody gets a chance to have an opinion here. That was all. And I just thought it would be weird if I just said a statement of my opinion as opposed to putting it in a question. I don't know why I felt like I was asking as opposed to saying, okay, that's a bad look. He shouldn't be doing that. That's. That's what you're saying? I should have. Yes, that. Why would you call out your coach? Just say, I think that's a bad look. I think when the coach does that, it's a bad look. What do you think? Okay. That's all okay. It's really simple. We've been doing this for over two decades. We have. Yes, we have. And that makes it even more frustrating that we've been doing this for over two decades. My God. Yeah. How about we take a break here? All right. We'll get two phone calls coming up. Settle on a poll question. I'll tend to Fritzi during the commercial break. We're back after this. Email address dpdanpatrick.com Twitter handle @dp show these guys are so spoiled. We have meat Friday. But I said to Dylan, dylan, why don't you whip up some breakfast? And he had some breakfast tacos well, Seaton was in here working. I don't know how he missed that. Everybody else was going out to the kitchen and having breakfast tacos. Seaton just found out that we had breakfast tacos. Yeah, Seaton. Some of us were focused on work here and somehow being called spoiled for it, but some of us were focused on working in here and skipped breakfast. Yeah, Cinco de Wednesday. I missed it, damn it. Yeah, well, breakfast tacos. I know, I know. Damn. I just try to, you know, spice it up a little bit around here, keep you guys on your toes. Right. That's all Dylan. By the way, those were good breakfast tacos. They really weren't. They potatoes out there too delicious. It looked like some type of potato like substance. They had hash browns, sausage, they had avocado, had some hot sauce there. Nobody, man. Yeah, you guys, Damn. I told you, stop putting work before pleasure. Never make that mistake again. Don't I tell you that? We talked about the Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers with that trade that still being finalized. There is George Pickens goes to the Cowboys. Well, when you think of the Cowboys, you might think of Shay and Irving, who joins us on the program. What do you think about. How about them Cowboys there, Shea? Oh, Danny, Danny. You know, this reminds me of the time I quit drinking. And the way I did is I just got into benzos and I accomplished my original goal. But what did it cost me in the end, you know, lot as a gambler, as a fellow degenerate. I stand with Jerry on this game. But it is a game. It's a huge gamble, Danny. And this is God's judgment for trading Amari. This is what they get. What are benzos? You know, Xanax, Danny, Four bars, maybe the ladder. Oh, okay. What are we doing? Okay, but you don't do any of that anymore. Just want to put that out there. No, Danny, I tell you what, you get into those, you'll lose three, four days in a row. It's just. You're gone. All right, well, Jerry said he was going to make some moves. He was all in, maybe make some trades. You. You got George Pickens in a. In a contract here. Yeah, in a rental. It's a one year rental. And you're asking a first year head coach to keep it all copacetic? It's a huge gamble, but they had to do something, Danny. I stand with Jerry when it comes to gambling. I have to. I think the over, under seven and a half wins for the Cowboys. Over. Okay, over. Let's go. Will the Cowboys make the playoffs? No, I don't want to go all there, dude. All right, well, thanks for calling in. Yeah, whatever. All right. That's Shane Irving. He sounds rough. For a guy who doesn't drink or do anything anymore, he sounds pretty rough. Yes. Paulie. I was hoping he'd say they make the playoffs. I was ready to be ready to bet. I was ready. I was jumping in on that as well. I'll go. I'll put 500 against it. If Shea wants to call back in, 500 that the Cowboys don't make the play. Okay. If he wants it. Okay. He's a gambler. He is part of the gambling podcast. Shay, let me know. Call back in if you want to take Paulie up on the bet. He'll bet you $500 the Cowboys will not make the playoffs. So maybe we can reach out to. That's fine. Yeah, sure. I might jump in on that with Paul, but maybe I'll split the 500. Okay. Yeah, we'll do 250 co op there. Yeah. Yeah, okay. All right, we'll get to phone calls. Let's settle on a poll question here. First hour. We'll check in with the Steelers coming up at the top of the hour. What do you have for me? Okay, let's see. Does anyone understand what Dan just said to Todd? Yes or no? Okay. Oh, wait, that's the wrong poll question. I'm sorry. Sorry about that. I'm gonna lose Fritzy the rest of the show. I walked by, and you put your head down. You didn't want to talk to me? Oh, I dropped something on the keyboard just at the exact time that you were walking by. Okay. There. Like a little stain on the X and C and V. I'm like, I must have spilled something. Okay, I. I'm gonna believe you. I think you're telling me the truth. Actually, not. I just giving you the cold shoulder. Oh, I know that. That's funny. Oh, I know that. All right, Seaton, what do you have? Sovereignty. Skipping the Preakness is smart. Or soft. I don't even understand why it's smart. What the heck? Unless there's something wrong with the horse. This is. Horse racing needs this. We get excited when the hat. You have the possibility of a Triple Crown. It always happened, you know, as soon as the derby's over, we're like, all right, what's the possibility? You know, is it a long shot? Therefore, they're not going to win on, you know, a different track, different distance. In, like, the Belmont. They're waiting for the Belmont. The Belmont's. Going to be in Saratoga. It's not even going to be at the Belmont. So you got the Preakness. Not going to do the Preakness. It doesn't it feel like it should be an unwritten rule that if you win the Derby, you're going to go for the Triple Crown? Yes, Paulie, I think that's the problem. It is an unwritten rule. There's some research on this this morning. Sovereignty on Tuesday, before the Preakness bets even started tapped out. It does not appear to be a health issue. It's just a strategy issue to win the Belmont. Sovereignty is the fourth of the last seven Kentucky Derby winners who will have skipped the chance to run in the Belmont. I run in the Preakness. And it's becoming a trend. That's more likely than not in the past decade. It appears to be just a strategy to win the second. Okay, we have load management in all sports. Do we have load management in Triple Crown races? Wow. I mean, is it asking that much? I want the horse to be safe, you know, first and foremost, but this is what horse racing needs. Yes, Marvin, I'm sure NBC is ecstatic about hearing about this. Yeah. You know, it's just. Well, if I just want to make sure. Because I could go on a rant here, but I want to make sure the horse is healthy. We're checking. We looked at a bunch of different stories between 1960 and 2018, no horses skipped the Preakness without an injury issue. Yeah. And now it's becoming a bit of a trend. And I don't know how you enforce this to say you won the Derby, you must be in the Preakness, but boy, it feels like you kind of need to get towards. Because all a trainer has to do is go, you know, he got a bad, you know, leg hoof, something. I haven't seen anything. I've checked the injury list report. You know, for horse racing. I thought he would have been probable. Yes. Eaton. Yeah. Like, the only thing I see is that about the long term health of the horse is what they're. There's been a quote about that, but I do see too, that the two week rest between races is seen as too short. Okay. That. That's not long enough. Should. And can the Preakness bump back, I don't know, a week or two, maybe make it a month in between. I don't know. I don't know anything about this. But if that, if that window is too short, it's not like you need it to be two Weeks, necessarily. Right. I don't know how that lines up sports wise, but yeah, I'm just surprised that, you know, because it feels like I. I have a tr. I have a chance to go for the Triple Crown, or I have a Triple Crown winner, but, you know, once again, this is analytics too, so. Load management analytics. And it's in horse racing. Yeah. Paul, some trainers interviewed for with Sports Illustrated said that the. The Triple Crown window is so short, it causes this. And they do the Triple Crown window short to increase ratings by keeping it as like a six week story. If they open it up and made it four weeks between events, they'd be more likely to have them run into every race. Well, have they had some kind of discussion here with this? I mean, I. I hope they have. I. I don't know. Is there somebody running the Triple Crown, or is it just you're kind of on your own? The Derby and the precursor, is it three separate entities that just. That's what I would be curious about. Has anyone asked the horse's opinion? Exactly. Thank you, Todd. Shay. And Irving is back. Do you want a piece of this bet with Paulie and Seaton? I heard we got a couple squares trying to gamble. Danny. They want to. They want to. Welcome to a man's world. I'm all here for it. Okay, what's a bet? Paulie and Seaton say the Cowboys don't make the playoffs. They'll split you 500, 250 apiece there. You want a piece of that? Give me plus 200. That's a bet. Lock it in. Okay, so explain that, though. Risk five, they give me 1,000 USD Canadian marks or whatever socialist currency Seat has gotten his pocket USD. Okay, so he puts up 500. You might want to find another form of currency there. If, If. If the Cowboys make the playoffs, then he gets a thousand. I didn't know, Shea, you believed that little in your team that you had to double it there? I might be stupid, but I ain't that dumb. Paulie, it's +180 on the Internet right now. Why am I betting you when I can just go to my bookie, the Italian up the street, not only can I get a sand, I can get an Italian hero, maybe a cannoli. He'll also give me plus 200. All right, how about we make it 250 and then you could win 500. All right. Bet. Lock it in. Now. Now. Okay. Nope. No, thank you. You're not doing that? No. Wow. We offered a bet. He passed at his year end. Review. I want you to remember this, Danny. Up, up 600 to your 500. No, give me plus 170 last final offer. Can't do it. Thank you, Shay. More from Shay coming up Thursday on The Gambling Podcast. DanPatrick.com Curtis in Illinois. Hi Curtis. What's on your mind today? Morning, DP Thoughts and prayers to Todd this morning. But more than the Pacers robbed the Cavs for the win last night, the Pacers robbed the fans of the NBA the opportunity to watch Tyrese Halliburton's dad run on a court and get in Ty James's face. He had to be sitting at home, I'm guessing, and watching his son since he's not allowed to go on the road or even home games as well. But thank you, Curtis. Josh in Texas. Hi Josh, what's on your mind today? Hey, DP, first time caller, longtime listener, 61290 and also with me is Natasha, 5 months, 17 pounds asleep on my chest. So I was calling for the NBA playoffs. Has there ever been a time where all the lower seeds had the series lead? And then possible poll question off of that. Which of the lower seeds, since they all have the lead, is least likely to win their series? My guess would be the Knicks. The Celtics are going to win. All right. This is the first time in the second round that all four road teams won Golden State. I don't know what you know, the health status is with Steph Curry. In fact, here's Steve Kerr talking about Steph Curry's injury day to day. You'll get an MRI tomorrow. Did you talk to him? Just what was. I talked to him at halftime. Just, you know, he's obviously crushed. But you know, the guys picked him up and played a great game and obviously we're all concerned about stuff, but it's part of, part of the game. You just guys get hurt and you move on. Our guys did a great job of moving on and getting a great win. You know, 48 hours after a game seven road win, Knicks at the Celtics tonight and Nuggets at the Thunder. Both games to Nathan in San Antonio. My Nate, what's on your mind today? Hey, Dan, thanks for taking my call. Long time, long time. I know you guys were talking yesterday about the hall of Very good, but I wanted to add another level. All of great but not quite fame. I think Penny was mentioned. Are there any other greats above Very good, not quite hall of Fame right in there. Hall of Great. Any other names you can throw in there? Little wordy. Little wordy we're getting into too many categories there, Nathan. I think we're just scratching the surface of the appropriate amount of categories. Love this. He goes. I love that. It was pretty good. Good. Very good. Very, very good. Right. Why isn't there a Hall of Great? There's definitely some that are greater than very good. Well, we. I think we created that yesterday. The hall of Great. I think we were just doing the hall of Very Good. Oh. And then the hall of Pretty Good. The hall of Good. That was the big debate, really? Is which is better, pretty good or good? Yes, Marvin. And Gilbert Arenas wanted to be in the hall of Very, Very Good. Yeah. Yeah. He wanted to create his own category there. Yes. Paulie, you can't use great because if you're great, you make the hall of Fame. Okay. Unless you're dumbing down the word great. Maybe lowercase great. Okay. Yeah, that. That's another category here. Yeah. A lot of reaction to that yesterday. The hall of Very Good. Very, very good. Pretty good and good. And then the argument was, well, wait, what's more impressive? To be pretty good or to be good? Yes. Marvin. Yeah. Getting a DM at 11:59pm My wife's like, your phone's buzzing. Who's that? And I was like, oh, it's so and so Amari Stoudemire hall are very good. Oh, my gosh. All right. Very good. You could tell this guy was from Phoenix. Yeah. He was like, him, Sean, Mary. And I was like, oh, my God. That was a run. That was a run. They had their window, man. Roger Bell, I think in that window, they had their run. That was a run, dude. That was. That was a whole lot of fun. Young Joe Johnson. Okay. Like 2005. Ish. And I don't know who that second wide receiver is for the Steelers. They passed on drafting a wide receiver. There was speculation leading up to the draft, even during the draft that the Steelers were going to move on from George Pickens. I know that they have Roman Wilson who played for Michigan, kind of undersized. They have Calvin Austin the third. I don't know who else they're going to bring in. I think they have Robert Woods. That's not going to get it done. If you're trying to entice Aaron Rodgers, they're going about it in a pretty interesting way. Let's see a couple of phone calls here. Bill in Boise. Hi, Bill. What's on your mind today? It was calling about racehorse and first time, long time. Okay, so you hit the nail on the head when you said that the end game is no governing body. That seems to be the issue with horse racing in today's world. Every track across the country makes their own rules, so be it. You know who they're going to allow in, what they're going to charge for the race, or what quote unquote medicine they'll allow horses to take. Then the other issue with the race time between races. Typically horses race every four to six weeks. So to start moving those races around, it sort of changes the marathon event of the Triple Crown. All right, thank you, Bill. But if I'm NBC and I'm the one broadcasting, I gotta, I gotta interject here. I have to say, look, we trying to grow this sport. They had good ratings, good ratings for the Derby. Big number. Certainly right at the very end. You know, they're broadcast right before the race. But this is a three part series that NBC is bringing you. They're bringing you the Derby, the Preakness and the Belmont. But when the lead actor is not going to be in the second part of this series, well, it just takes away all that momentum because we want to see greatness, you want to see sovereignty. Be able to. Then you win the Preakness. And then the Belmont's going to be at Saratoga this year. But, you know, I. To understand what a horse is going through, I don't know how you do that. I'm going to have to just trust the owner and the trainer. And they say that they. They don't want this. This is something that affects their horse long term. Yeah. Paulie the casual fan watches 30 minutes of horse racing. Racehorsing. Like the other guy said a year. Yeah. What's the difference between horse racing and race horsing? I don't know if he's right or really wrong with that phrase. I feel like racehorsing, though, is the way to go. I like that way better than horse racing. Sounds boring, but Racehorsing, heck yeah. Yes. Horse racing is more of a hobby. Race horses, when you actually get involved competitively, it's a little more serious. I'm sorry. I'm a racehorser. You're not a horse racer? No, I'm a racehorser. James in Cincinnati. Hi, James. What's on your mind today? We're such jerks. Hi, James. Hey. So you're looking at this all wrong. What you need to say instead of the second tier of hall of something is to have the Atrium of Fame or the Dining Room of Fame or perhaps the. Your living room of fame. Well, I came up with the idea of why not have first floor, second floor, third floor, penthouse and basement. But that's for the hall of Fame. Like, you get in. Not everybody should be at the penthouse level. Some guys are probably first floor if you want to have a basement, although that designation kind of sounds negative. So. All right, first floor. There's this group. More of a garden. The Garden District. It's more of a garden apartment, really. Yeah. With a view. Yeah. But, yeah, you know, I'd like that. I also am in favor of, if you're a first ballot hall of Famer, your jacket is gold. Like, even it's actual gold. Like a suit of armor. Yes. Like it's a different looking shade because you're a first ballot hall of Famer. Yes. Marvin. It's going to get awkward when people say, all right, Gold Jacket guys. No, no. Hey, Mustard yellow. Move, move, move, move. Dijon Mustard. Move. Only for the Gold Jacket guys. They can get awkward. Dave in Arkansas. Hi, Dave. What's on your mind? They called me Pittsburgh Dave, and I can sum this straight up with one word. And I think Anakin Skywalker said it best. No. They could have traded him anywhere but to Dallas. Dallas is the evil empire. I would rather him Go to the Ravens. Send him to the Giant. I don't. You're not Dallas. No. But you're not playing Dallas. They're not in your division. So who cares if you send him to Dallas? If Dallas is going to give you a third round draft pick? I don't know what anybody else would have given you, but, Dave, thanks for calling it. I don't care if he goes to the Cowboys. Yeah, Marvin, the Cowboys aren't good enough to hate anymore. Yeah. Isn't that sad? Took a while. Took a long time. Almost 30 years before you go. Yeah, you know what? I don't have a real strong opinion on the Cowboys. Yeah, Paul, it happened to Notre Dame football 15, 20 years ago when they weren't. They kind of lost a little relevance in the playoff picture. But then they've made the postseason a few times in the past 10 years. Well, you also like their coach now, you know. You know, I think Marcus Freeman is not a polarizing guy. I think when they got blown out in the national title game, that's where you. You kind of went, oh, man. Feel sorry. Alabama crushed him. Like, you know, we gotta go out to Notre Dame this fall. We need to take the show to Notre Dame. Lovely. Yeah. When's USC playing Notre Dame? Is that October? Boy, it'd be a beautiful time. Peak foliage. Yes. Last time we went out there, I think it was Notre Dame, USC around the same time. I think it's like, late October. Does that Sound good, Marvin? October 18th. Okay. Oh, boy. South Bend. Take the whole crew out there. A couple cold ones. Yes, that'd be great. We'll work on that. Yeah. Seaton. A couple of Ruth geese. Remember, we brought a flask because we couldn't have beer. I look over and Paulie is doing push ups on the sidelines. He's got a flask of whiskey. Veteran move. I can't think of the last time I was that panicked where I was like, what do you mean, no one has a beer. I know. What the hell? What are we gonna do? Red alert. We were at a tailgate and we couldn't get any beer. What the hell? All right, hour two coming up. Ray Allen will join us and we'll check in with the Pittsburgh Steelers. You're listening to an iHeart podcast.
