The American west with Dan Flores is the latest show from the Meat Eater Podcast Network. So join me starting Tuesday, May 6th where we'll delve into stories of the west and come to understand how how it helps inform the ways in which we experience the region today. The other not a surprise. Welcome to the program. It's hour one on this Thursday Dan and the Danette Stan Patrick Show. Gangs all here. The Minister of humor, Fritzi Seaton, Marv Paulie, yours truly in the back room, guys. The Knicks come back down 20 and beat the Celtics in Boston. They're up 20 in the series. The Thunder rolled the Nuggets 149 to 106 to even that series at a game a piece. Warriors are 10 and a half point underdogs at Minnesota. Coming up tonight. Game 2. 8773 DP Show Email address dpdanpatrick.com Twitter handle @DP Show Steph Curry won't be playing. He'll be out at least a week. I don't think he'll be back until game five at the earliest. And if you're Golden State, you got nothing to lose. Just go after it again tonight. Play great defense. Try to frustrate Minnesota. Maybe you when you get back home, you can get another win. Maybe the series is tied when Steph Curry comes back. Best case scenario, probably for game five. 8773 DP show operator Tyler sitting by. He'll take your phone calls. Got a Play of the Day poll Questions? Stat of the Day Good morning. Let them take care of your lawn. They know a thing or two about it. The official lawn care provider of the PGA tour. Go to trugreen.com today. Let the pros do all the work while you sit back and relax and enjoy the results. See trugreen.com for detail. Stat of the Day is always brought to you by Panini America, the official trading cards of the Dan Patrick show. And speaking of a stat of the day, from 1997 until 2024, there were a grand total of 10 playoff comeback wins from at least 20 down on the road. There have been four this postseason alone. The Knicks twice, the Pacers and the Thunder. This is the start of the day brought to you by Panini America. The official trading cards of the Dan Patrick show. The Knicks are resilient, but they're built for this. They're built to beat the Celtics. This is what happens when teams win titles or they're in your division or in your conference. You have to get through them. And the Knicks went out of their way to get the right pieces to be able to compete against the Boston Celtics. Now the Celtics were big favorites to get back to the NBA finals, but the Knicks have a roster worth talking about. Everybody talks about Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, a two way force. Josh Hart, Carl Anthony Towns, Mikhail Bridges. They know their roles on this team and we've seen that so far. And it might not be talent that they have, but there's toughness there, adaptability. It's, it's finding a way or not panicking. When you're down 20 on the road against the defending champs, it would be easy to say, you know what, not our night. Just like we saw with Denver last night. Denver, not our night. We're not going to have Joker, he's fouled out. We'll see you in Denver. But they've done it the hard way. Let's make no mistake about it. You erase a 20 point deficit, you shoot under 30% from three point range. It's not pretty, it's gritty. And it's not going to make headlines the way they play. But I don't think they care. It's their identity. I don't think they care about the aesthetics of a win. You know, you don't get style points here. All they care is that they have a 2o series lead. Now there's plenty of blame to go around, but what normally happens is we'll move past the Knicks and not give them credit. And granted, if Boston makes one more shot, they win last night. If they make a three, the other in game one, you know, so they could easily be up too well not playing well at all. But let's factor in, I don't think the Knicks have played a great series so far. That has to be factored in as they go back to New York Is this on Boston? Yes, because they're the defending champs. They got a deep team. It's loaded. You got experience. You got two really good players, and Brown and Tatum, you got role players. You got everything you need. You have home court advantage. You got everything but that clutch gene that I need to make a bucket here. Hey, we're struggling. I'll make a bucket. And I'm waiting for Jason Tatum. We want Jason Tatum to be a star. It feels like the media, advertisers, like, we gotta. I mean, this guy, we're gonna make him a star. He's gonna do commercials. But is he a star? Is he a killer? Is he just a really good player? And, you know, when you think about it, and I watch him, we want to put him in the top five because he's on the Celtics. They want a title. They're competing for titles. But then you watch and you go, and I've said this before, there are times when he drifts, like, he just kind of floats away from the action there. But he can be in a. He can get you 40, he can get you 50. He's a tremendous player. But you start to think about it. Jalen Brown was the MVP last year when they won the title. Jason Tatum going to the bench in the Olympics. Now, granted, he got a gold medal. I don't know if that messes with you or not. And I'm just trying to put myself in that position, if that's possible. Jaylen Brown was their best player. And how many times have we heard that? Is Jason Tatum the best player on his own team? I would say he's still better than Jalen Brown. Jaylen Brown benefits from Jason Tatum, and I guess you can say the other way around, but the whole Olympics thing, like, he. He got benched. Derrick White, his teammate, played more like. It was just. I don't know. It's weird when you go, that guy, when he goes out there is going to kill you. And when you talk about a face of the league, I mean, Anthony Edwards is more of a face. Luke is more of a face. Steph Curry's more of a face. LeBron is more of a face. Joker's more of a. Now SGA coming into the picture. Like, Jason Tatum is a really good player, but to be one of the greats of all time or one of the top five players, I want to see what you do when nobody else is doing anything. And it's not fair to put it all on him. But if he wants it all on him, now is when you Got to show it. You go five for 19. You had to have this win. Everybody thought, okay, it's going to be a gentleman sweep. Well, what do you think now? Do you think the Knicks can get another one? So the Celtics are going to have to win four of five. Okay? And they can. The Cavaliers can win, you know, four of five against Indiana. Like, it can happen. I get it. And it's been crazy so far in the postseason. But. But I start to look at greatness. And you want to be included in the greats. Well, the greats somehow find a way to win these games. These are ugly games. And Boston did go inside to start. They were trying to get to the hoop, and I thought, okay, that's what you're supposed to do. Get some free throws, get some easier baskets. You got matchups that favor you going inside. But watching last night, you just kept waiting, kept waiting, and it never happened. And this is what the Knicks love. It's almost like the Knicks are like Joe Frazier. If you remember watching Joe Frazier fight, he would take three and give you one. When he fought against Ali, Ali was so stylistically superior. He was just flashing look great, and you're just like, okay. And Joe Frazier was like, all right, all right, all right. And now I'm going to hit you with one. And that's the Knicks. The Knicks are a heavyweight that is just kind of taking what you give them, and then you want to see what they do after that. And so far, they seem like they're the ones that aren't panicking, that they're the ones that are experienced. That's what's surprising about this. Here's the final call of last night with the Knicks winning in the Garden. Foreign across mid court with 10, top of the key with eight, defended by Robinson with seven, right wing three. Crossover foul line with four left block step back. Stolen by Bridges. Bridges. Trucks are down for it. They've done it again. They've done it again. The New York Knicks take both in Boston and a 20 lead heading back to the Mecca, courtesy of the Knicks radio network. They did something that I preach about. The best player is not going to beat me, even if the best player is not having a good night. What did the Knicks do? They allowed in quotation marks or forced Jason Tatum to a certain spot on the floor. And then the Knicks surrounded him. They did the right thing at the right time. Here is Jalen BRUNSON on being up 2 0, going home. Realizing the opportunity we have, we just got to make sure we're still locked in. Nowhere close to being done. Just keep making sure our mindset is the same. And I mean, Kat, just the way he started out the game was great for us. And just the way he's been throughout the entire season and he's been one of the best teammates we have. And the way he gives us energy and the way he goes and gets rebounds and what he does that doesn't go unnoticed and he just. This is the way he's been. According to DraftKings, the favorites to win the title, the Thunder, the big favorites. Then it's the Celtics. Then go down the list, it's the Cavaliers, Timberwolves, Knicks and pacers. So it's plus 1. 30 for the Thunder. It's plus 310 for the Celtics. It was plus 185 before yesterday's game. Then you have the Cavs and the Timberwolves, Knicks and the Pacers. Warriors are getting ten and a half tonight in Minnesota. All right, Seaton, what's poll question from the first hour program? Well, we got a couple options here we might as well start with based off the NBA. More surprising, the Pacers are up 2.0on Cleveland or Knicks are up 2.0on Boston. I would say the Knicks up on. On the Celtics. Even though that's lesser of a seating upset. I'm not surprised at the Pacers. I, I said from the outset, I think that they can win this series. The Cavs have injuries as well, so I got to factor that in. The Celtics are healthy. Yeah. They don't have any excuses. Their excuses are. They have no excuses. Yes, Paulie. I went back and looked at the two box scores with the Celtics, and after Game 1, a lot of people said you gotta, you know, shoot fewer threes. And people are like, they're not going to do that. In game one, they attempted 60 threes and 37 point twos. In game two, they attempted 40 threes and 54 twos. They actually did curtail their three point attempts. That might be the wrong decision. Yeah. I want you to be who you are. Don't change now. They averaged 48 threes attempted per game during the season. They attempted 40 last night. I wonder if that was conscious. It feels like or it felt like it when I'm watching because it's almost where you go. Ray Allen said this to us yesterday. He said, I never wanted my first shot to be a three because if I missed, then it's on my mind with the next time. And it felt like the Celtics were purposely trying to get some hoops then you were going to take your threes. But they're not changing. They can't change. This is who they are. They live by the three. They die by the three. This is why you see so many big comebacks now, because you can shoot yourself into a game or out of a game because of the three pointer. All right, we'll get to your phone calls. 8773 DP show email address dp@danpatrick.com Twitter handle @DP Show Cedric Kornbread Maxwell, he is the analyst for the Boston Celtics and a former Celtics player. He'll join us a little bit later on. Actor Vince Vaughn has a new movie out. We'll talk to him a little bit later on as well. We'll take a break. Just getting started here. Hosted by me, writer and historian Dan Flores and brought to you by Velvet Buck, this podcast looks at a West available nowhere else. Each episode I'll be diving into some of the lesser known histories of the West. I'll then be joined in conversation by guests such as Western historian Dr. Randall Williams and best selling author and meat eater founder Stephen Rinella. I'll correct my kids now and then where they'll say when cave people were here. And I'll say it seems like the Ice Age people that were here didn't have a real affinity for caves. So join me starting Tuesday, May 6th where we'll delve into stories of the west and come to understand how it helps inform the ways in which we experience the region today. Listen to the American west with Dan Flores on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Clayton English. I'm Greg Lodd and this is season two of the War on Drugs podcast. Sir, we are back in a big way. In a very big way. Real people, real perspectives. This is kind of star studded a little bit, man. We got Ricky Williams, NFL player, Heisman Trophy winner. It's just the compassionate choice to allow players all reasonable means to care for themselves. Music stars Marcus King, John Osborne from Brothers Osbourne. We have this misunderstanding of what this quote unquote drug thing is. Benny the Butcher, Brent Smith from Shinedown got Be Real from Cypress Hill, NHL enforcer Riley Cote, Marine Corvette, MMA fighter Liz Caramouche. In 2020, a group of young women in a tidy suburb of New York City found themselves in an AI fueled nightmare. Someone was posting photos. It was just me naked. Well, not me, but me with someone else's body parts on my body. Parts that looked exactly like my own. I wanted to throw up. I wanted to scream. It happened in Levittown, New York. But reporting this series took us through the darkest corners of the Internet and to the front lines of a global battle against deepfake pornography. This should be illegal, but what is this? This is a story about a technology that's moving faster than the law and about vigilantes trying to stem the tide. I'm Margie Murphy. And I'm Olivia Carville. This is Levittown. A new podcast from iHeart Podcast, Bloomberg and Kaleidoscope. Listen to Levittown on Bloomberg's Big Take podcast. Find it on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On November 5, 2018 at 6:33am, a red Volkswagen Golf was found abandoned in a ditch out in Sleephole Valley. The driver's seat door was open. No traces of footsteps leaving the vehicle. No belongings were found, except for a cassette tape lodged in the player. On that tape were 10 vile. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Grotesque. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Horrific stories that to this day have been kept restricted from the public. Until now. You feeling this too? A horror anthology podcast. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Settle on a poll question. By the way, if you call in. Tyler taking your phone calls. Tyler's birthday today. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Keep answering phones. Let's go. Tyler. Good job taking care of Winnie. Yeah. Paul. You know, for his birthday, he should make us some lunch. That'd be a lovely gift. I don't know if. You're welcome. Think it make him happy. Okay, I'm sorry. I just whipped up these burgers real quick. Oklahoma City routed the Nuggets to even their series. The Thunder setting a playoff record. They had 87 points in the first half that broke the mark set by the Cavaliers game for the 2017 NBA Finals against Golden State. Now, we were just nerding out on the draft where Philadelphia had the number one pick, they took Markel Foltz and there, there was a trade there and Boston ended up getting Jason Tatum. And going into that draft, I was told by an NBA scout, he said, he goes, I'm missing something. He, he said, jason Tatum's the best player in this draft. And I remember coming in that day because Markel Foltz, I think, won nine games at Washington. They didn't make the NCAA tournament. And I thought he was, you know, a good, you know, college guard, but. All right. And I like, Tatum was right in front of us. He was playing at Duke every single game right in front of us. Markel Folds playing it U Dub. And you're going, have you seen this guy that I don't know, maybe Philadelphia is going to take him. But if you look in that draft, Donovan Mitchell's in that draft. Bam. Out of bio is in that draft. OG Anunoby is in that draft. Derrick White is in that draft. That makes it even more egregious that you whiffed on the number one pick with all those other players who are all star caliber or they are all stars. Dang. Yeah, Paulie. Yeah, they, that was a trade down by Boston. They traded down to three and picked up an extra first round draft pick which didn't amount to much with Philly. So Philly traded up to get Fults. And like you said, there's Malik Monk was in that draft. Mitchell Adebayo were 13, 14, uh, wow. Josh Hart was the last pick of the first round. Derek White second to last pick of the first round. Dylan Brooks was a second rounder. Dang. That was a draft. Yeah, yeah, right. And if you, if you look at that Sixers team, you're right. And you add him to, you know, geez, J.J. redick was still playing on that team. Okay. Joel Embiid, you know, Ben Simmons. I bet you if Jason Tatum is drafted there, I bet you Ben Simmons has a better career than what he had or is having. We couldn't have much of a worse career, let's put it that way. Yeah, but if you put Tatum on there with a healthy Embiid, okay, you got people's attention. Yeah. Paulie, there is a story about that draft. I was just reading that there was a big workout for Jason Tatum and he held it in Los Angeles to have led a lot of different teams. Look at him in Philadelphia, was there in Phoenix and Boston. Anyone in the top eight, the Lakers didn't attend. The Lakers had the second pick. They could have taken Tatum. They took Lonzo Ball, which for a while was pretty good, but they did not attend the workout. I never understood Lonzo Ball. He couldn't shoot, but he did have a really good handle, and he was a larger guard. But I said all along that his younger brother was going to be the best player in the family just because he could shoot better and he had good size and had a really good handle. But, yeah. Boy. Tatum with the Lakers, tatum with the 76ers. We'll get to phone calls coming up. We decided, I think, on the poll question. Seaton. Yeah. I think we're kind of kicking around some poll questions. What if I had said this? If you were betting Nixon, five, Celtics and six. Okay, I'm gonna go Celtics in six. But, you know, between those two, like, at some point, the greatness of the Celtics has to resurface, which I can't do. Nixon, 4, because that's just ridiculous. No offense. That's ridiculous. How about Knicks in seven, Celtics in seven, Celtics in six. Nixon six, Nixon seven, Celtics six and seven. Nixon six, seven, five. Yeah, yeah. Four, three. That's what I just heard. Six and five, seven, six, and Nick's Celtics. So Nixon, six, Nixon seven, Celtics in six, Celtics. And so that clears that up. Yes. Yeah, I. I don't know what the Vegas thinks, but I would still lean towards the Celtics winning the series. But I. I want to. I want to warn people. The Knicks haven't played great. They played good enough to win. You steal two games, and it's really rare you're stealing two. Like Golden State, they're ten and a half point underdogs. Do I think they're stealing another one? I don't. Denver against OKC last night. They're not stealing that one. That one was over Angela in Oklahoma. Hi, Angela. What's on your mind? Hey, Dan, I just want to say, let's go Thunder and Whisper came in to town and we all cheered for him because we do love him. All right, well, thank you, Angela. Yes, Marvin, Angela's got Betty Davis. She might have been smoking some heaters and drinking some whiskey watching her thunder last night. Yeah, she's precocious. What a unique. What? Kim Karnes? Is that who it was? Betty Davis. Eyes Daddy Diva. She'll tease you just to please you. What's your second favorite Kim Karden song? Yeah, it's like Joan Osborne. Is that her name? What if God was one of us? What was her next big hit? Yeah, I don't remember either. The instrumental version. Thank you, Todd. The live version, the unplugged, the acoustic. Yeah. A dub in Virginia. How are you? You actually got it right. Dan, thank you. Five, seven. First time caller, 1 90. Big fan. Well, thank you. I can't believe I'm talking to you. I'm 64 years old and I've actually lived a whole life. Now. What. What can I do for you? I bet you I haven't watched an hour of ESPN since you left. You know, give him a try. Give them a. Give him a try, Ada. You know, trying hard. Yep. What are you still on? Am I still on? Yeah, yeah. You're still here? Yeah, still here. Okay. I'm sorry. Anyway, about the Knicks. I'll ask you about the Knicks. You guys had the poll question, but don't you think they, in order to win, if they're going to pull the series win, they've got to do it sooner rather than later and. Oh, yeah, yeah. I mean, I go for the jugular Saturday night. Sure. Yeah. I mean, you're not going to let the Celtics go get back in this. I. If I'm the Knicks, I don't pace myself. I'm not planning for seven games. This isn't. You know, there were a couple of fights that Tommy Hearns had where he came out the first round and he basically tried to win in the first round. And he was such an incredible knockout artist. And then he was spent after like three rounds. If you're the Knicks, don't plan on seven, plan on five, plan on four. Six. Yes. Marv, do you think ABC/ ESPN made a mistake by putting game three is at 3:30 on Saturday? I know. They should always be Mark, like, I don't care Marquee Saturday night at the Garden. Yeah. I was surprised. So was Charles Barkley. Charles is like, that should be a Saturday night game. You imagine New York on Saturday night. It is going to be electric. Todd, what's the theme song for the Knicks? How does it go? Say, go New York. Go New York, Go with the Knicks. That we're doing it for kicks. We're hitting three pointers and you're putting up bricks. That's part of it, anyway. Oh, it is. Okay. All right. And then this. We are New York and we love basketball and we are standing tall. We are the New York Knick Knicks. Yes. Paul. Yeah. The next three. 30pm Eastern on ABC. Then there's not another game until 8pm Eastern on ABC. Timber rolls warriors. Is there something in between those that we're missing? Why wouldn't you go back to back Checking Grant in Nashville. Hi, Grant. What's on your mind? Good morning. Happy birthday, Tyler. Say that real fast. I just wanted to comment on the Celtics. Someone can tell them not to shoot threes like I think it was. Paulie said it. They took less this game. It still felt like the same amount. I mean, there was a play where they like, oh, hung up. No, no, we got you, Grant. Oh, my bad. It looks like it hung up on my thing. I think it was. Paulie said that they took less this game, but there was a play where they, like, stole the ball and Drew Holiday stepped back and took a three. Then someone else took one. Then Jalen Brown took one. He made it. But like, they. They don't have to do that. It's not like there's no law that says, hey, take every three you possibly can. One of them bound to go in. But this is who they are. They're not changing. They average 48 three pointers attempted a game, and the Knicks know this. Their defense, really their game plan, their scheme is predicated on the Celtics are going to take those threes if they want to go inside. If they want to get twos, the Knicks are probably going to let them or probably not impede them. The way, you know, you just don't want them to get hot from three point range because if they do, then you're going to get blown out. But even if they get warm from three point range, you could be in trouble. Turbo in Buffalo. Hi, Turbo. What's on your mind? Oh, hey, Dan. What an honor. Oh, yeah, I want to talk about. I'm going to respond to your poll question. Celtics and six, they're going to win four in a row. I think you know it. I think other people know it. I don't know it. I don't know it. I try not to know it. All because we get into, you know, dangerous hot takes when we do that. Yes, Eaton. So maybe what I'll do for the poll question, is Nixon 7 or Celtics in 6? Okay, we'll give Knicks the entire series to win, but Celtics have to win four in a row. I think Turbo wanted a pie bet. PI to the face bet that the celtics were going to win the next four. You know when somebody says somebody doesn't have a chance? I would go, no, they have a chance. If you play in a game, play in a sporting event, you have a chance. Never say somebody doesn't have a chance. So many people jump to the this will be a gentleman's sweep. Boston will win the next four. Well, Those are probably casual basketball fans who are just dropping in and going, hey, I guess I got to have a take on this. And then they tell you, yep, Celtics will win in five. I'd love to know what you're saying on your show today or what you're writing today or what's your hot take today? Celtics are winning four in a row. Can they? Yes, but would I bet on it? No, I'd bet against it. I think the Knicks will get at least one at home now. I still think Boston will win. I think that's. That's the unique part of these best of seven series. The best team wins. If this is March Madness, the Celtics are out, Minnesota is out, Cleveland is out. OKC is out. But it's not March Madness. It's a best of seven. Jason in Florida. Hi, Jason. What's on your mind? Hey, how are you? Great. Great. Jace. So I just had a question for you. So I just came back yesterday from the Metallica concert at Virginia Tech, and as you know, they use Enter Sandman as their hype song. And I was wondering, what do you think? Which university has the best three game Hype song or tradition? I would have to look at the list of different songs with different schools, because everybody has won a hype song either before the game. Some have it going into the fourth quarter. But, yeah, Metallica did enter Sandman and Virginia Tech, that's their football song, their hype song. But did Virginia Tech do that before? Mariano Rivera, the Yankee closer, did that because he was Enter Sandman. And then I think Billy Wagner, the reliever for the Mets, did enter Sandman at the same time Rivera was doing Enter Sandman. So I'm not sure which came first. Mariana Rivera got a lot of publicity because the Yankees were winning and he's a hall of Famer. Yes, Paulie. According to the Virginia Tech sports website, they debuted the song Aug. 27, 2000, when they had their new video scoreboard. The first time they played Enter Sandman. Okay. They would not be first. No. This is Mariana Rivera's, right? Correct. Yeah. Football, it's Vatek. Baseball, it's Mo. Yeah, but the originator is Mariano Rivera. Yeah. I'd have to look at the hype songs, but does Wisconsin have Jump Around? Florida has Tom Petty. Don't Back Down. Back down. Yeah, I'd have to look at that. I mean, Enter Sandman and to have them there on campus and they were performing it. That's pretty good stuff. So, Jason, thank you. We'll have to. We'll have to do some research on that. Mike in Buffalo. Hi, Mike. What's on your mind? Today we stop pretending that Jason Tatum is anywhere near what Kevin Durant was, back in his prime. It is exhausting. And this guy clearly does not belong in the conversation. You're. You're exhausted, Mike. Over this conversation? Yeah. Okay. All right. All right, fine. I don't know. And thanks for the phone call. I don't know if anybody is comparing Jason Tatum to Kevin Durant, but I guess if we are, then okay, Kevin left his team because he couldn't beat the championship. Oh, I think you gotta factor that in, too. Yes, Marvin. Yeah. No one was doing that because Kevin Durant was playing in the Olympics. Jason Tatum was. Jason Tatum just won an NBA title. He was sitting the bench. But who are you going to take in eight games? LeBron James, Jason Tatum, Kevin Durant, Jason Tatum. Sorry, you're out. And you. They went with the old guys, you know, Steve Kerr went with the old guys in the Olympics, but who are you trusting? They all got. Yes, absolutely. Yeah, I had no problem with that. I mean, I. I felt like it became almost this undercurrent of, hey, I'm going to tune in. Hey, when's Jason Tatum getting. Nobody cared if Jason Tatum was getting in until he wasn't getting in. Oh, Derrick White's out there with his teammates out there. Then all of a sudden, it became a bigger story just because of that. If Jason Tatum played nine minutes a game, nobody cares about this story. But it's all of a sudden, oh, Steve Kerr. What's he got against Jason Tatum? Nothing. He just thinks Kevin Durant and LeBron James make more sense. Yes, Marvin. Then another Celtics teammate is going to play more. Drew Holiday. Did Peyton Pritchard play on the Olympic team? Did he get some run? Al Horford. Oh, no. He would have played for Puerto Rico, I believe. But even if he wasn't, he would ask. You would have played more. He probably would have played more. Oh, my God. Yeah, it became a big deal. And then I felt bad for Tatum because you just win the title, but then your running mate gets the credit. He's the MVP of the finals, and then you get named Jalen Brown doesn't make the Olympic team, Tatum does. And then Tatum doesn't play. And then all of a sudden, it's this big snub. Yes. Paul, I don't know if we discussed this before. Would you rather not make the Olympic team or make it. Not play publicly. That's a toughie. I'd rather make the Team. You get a medal. I would rather make the team. It's a great. You still get a medal. You get a great seat. Yeah. You just don't. You. You hope that you're. You know, when you go to a party, when they go, hey, give me your favorite moments from winning the gold medal. And then Jason Tatum has to go, well, you know, I got to watch Steph Curry and I got to watch Kevin Durant and then LeBron James and. And we had a nice dinner and. No, no. What are your memories of playing in the. Well, once again, I. In warm ups, I was really good. I was on fire. Dakota in Kentucky. Hi, Dakota. Hey, what's up, Dan? Hey, man. I'm calling because I think that Jason Tatum has been carrying Jalen Brown, and I think he's. Jaylen Brown's overrated. Are there. Has there been, like, another scenario where you think, like, other players have carried. Because I feel like if Derrick White is in that position, he does almost the same numbers and also. Suck it, Fritzy. All right. Okay. All right. I gotta get that in a couple of shots there. That Jalen Brown carries Jason Tatum. Or is it Jason Tatum carries Jalen Brown? Okay. Didn't agree with most of that call. Yeah. Except for the last. Then he salvaged it with, oh, no. See, this guy does get it. Suck it, Fritzi. By the way, the folks at Celebrity Family Feud wanted to know what our name tags were going to be, and I made a decision on Fritzi that Fritzi goes, can I go with Todd? And I go, no, your name is Fritzi on Celebrity Family Feud, which is fine. It was more. Should I go? Because they were saying, well, Steve usually goes by the first name of all the contestants. And I explained that that's my name on the show. And even away from the show, I'm kind of referred more as Fritz. Even Todd. So, yes, they were cool with that. Yeah. Yeah. You're Fritzy. Yeah. I didn't do Seaton. I didn't. I didn't say anything about your name on your name card or Marvin. Yeah. But you guys are good. Marvin and Paulie are good. But I'm not sure what your card is going to say since you're. Your real first name is Patrick, but your middle name is Seaton. Yeah. They emailed me yesterday. And what are you going to go with Seaton. Oh, good. I like that. Yeah. They say your name is Patrick, right? Yeah. Clearly there's been a question. Yeah. So I said, I'd rather you put semen on there. Can you put semen on there, please, for my mom, God rest her soul. I have to check with legal. We'll get back to. That's this. That's the Steve Harvey face. Yes. Your name is what? I don't know how my mom got to that name for you, but she would always ask, how's Seaman? I said, mom, it's seton. Okay. Tell McLovin I'm gonna buy him a comb. He's got to comb his hair. All right. These were the things my mom cared about. Seaton and. And McLovin. All right, we'll take a break. More phone calls coming up. Top of the hour, the radio analyst, TV analyst for the Celtics, Cornbread Maxwell, will join us. We'll take a break, play the days next. Two dollars to five, dollar two to five. Okay. You're a big lotto guy. I am. Okay. Yeah. I'm not. Yeah. I think I only play it when we do it collectively as a group. When it gets to a hundred billion or something, Something like that would be a good one to hit. 100 billion. Yeah. Yeah. I would still come in the next day. See, the problem is, is I. There was like a sort of like a perfect five dollar combo that I would hit usually twice a week where you could get a Powerball ticket, a Mega Millions ticket. Those are the big national lotteries. Each of those was $2 a piece. And then you throw in the local Connecticut lottery for a dollar, then you're kind of in all of the big ones. You do that like twice a week, you know, five or ten dollars. I didn't mind blowing that, you know. But five dollars for one ticket now? Hell no. Yeah. Hell no. Yeah. I can't do it. Yeah. Paul and Powerball, the National game. Like you said, it was $2 for a ticket. And the minimum jackpot would be 20 million. Supposedly with this new system, it'll be a minimum of 50 million when the lottery opens after there's a winner. Yeah, but the odds are still terrible. Yeah, the odds are still. It's 290 million. Slightly less than. Almost completely impossible. Okay, but you play. Yeah. Heck yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What's the most you've won? Yeah, but no, my point being that you raised it. You. You more than doubled the price and the odds are almost still next to impossible. That's my point. I don't mind. I'm good with next to impossible, but not at $5 a piece. And how much have you won on a. On a ticket? On a couple bucks? Nothing. Nothing. Crazy. One time. You know what I did have happen one time I was one number off for every single number. So I would. I would have won like $350 million. But if the say, if the winning numbers were all like odd numbers, like 1, 3, 5, 7, I had 2, 4, 6, 8. Damn it. I was one off on every single number. How does that happen? Todd? We once had five of the six numbers and we were temporarily freaking out, thinking that's got to be worth something. And it turns out that particular game, like 1200 people had five numbers of the six for whatever reason. And it went down to like about an $800 payout, when normally you would think that five of the six numbers would have to be many, many thousands. Yeah, that was weak. Justin in upstate New York. Hi, Justin. Hey, Dan. 5£760. Alright, so the number one song in the nation on the Billboard charts when I was born was actually Bette Davis Eyes, which in my opinion is not bad. So I was wondering if you guys knew or wanted to look up your birthday songs. Well, mine's May 15, 1956. Maybe it's a Elvis song, but I'm not sure. Marvin, do you know? I do. Kenny Loggins, Footloose. It was the number one song. April 13, 1984. Yes. Todd, I'm looking at your birthday of May 15, 1956, and it would be the King, Heartbreak Hotel. Okay. Yep, that's pretty much my theme song throughout my high school days. Seton, what about you? The number one song in America, July 24, 1978. Shadow Dancing, Andy Gibb. Oh, that's a great fire. Fire. I don't think it's. Yup. Paulie, what about you? I have on my birth date Honky Tonk Woman by Rolling Stones. That's pretty good. And a boy named Sue. Johnny Cash was number two. Yeah, that's not a bad one. Honky Tonk Women. That's a great song that. That, that comes on and you're in a good mood. James in Cincinnati. Hi, James. What's on your mind today? Hey, James. Oh, we lost James. Oh, Marvin, is your phone acting up? Okay, but Tyler's gonna get blamed, and it's his birthday. He is. And I feel bad. Tyler. I mean, I know that's not an option there, but I think it's going seven games. Yes, Marvin. I'm gonna enjoy the fake Nick fans in celebrity row. Oh, here we go. Now they have something to cheer about. It's not. Hey, we beat the Atlanta Hawks. This is something big. Yes, Todd. Yeah, but all of a sudden, Shibuzzy's courtside wearing a knickkack. Come on. Really? When? When did that happen? When that start Dochi gonna be courtside? Cardi B will be courtside. One hour in the books. Two more to go. We'll check in with the Celtics coming up.
