It's the day before the day we say goodbye to se no Conor or he says goodbye to us. Come on in. Hour one on the program you got the minister of humor, Fritzy Seaton o Gooner. We have Marvin, we have Paulie, the back room guys as well. And yours truly, Dan Hurley of Connecticut, the Yukon Huskies coach, will join us. Scott Van Pelt will join us from Augusta. And Dodger manager Dave Roberts on the show. 877.3dpshow email address dpdanpatrick.com Twitter handle @dpshow Good morning those watching on Peacock. That's our streaming partner. You can also watch on NBC Sports Network. Stat of the Day is always brought to you by Panini America. The official trading cards of the program. The only place to collect the all time grades, the hottest rookies, biggest superstars, Panini America, the official trading cards of the Dan Patrick Show. Instant classics, autograph cards, memorabilia cards, rare inserts. They've got it all for you. Play the day poll question Stat of the day. All of that coming up. Beautiful day weather wise with the Masters underway. We will check in with Scott Van Pelt coming up in an hour from now. Keep this in mind. Nine of the last 10 winners were between ages 27 and 36. I don't know if that factors in if you did a master's pool, which we did yesterday, but if I said I'm going to give you Scotty Scheffler at the Masters or Oklahoma City to win the NBA title, that old topic. Yes, you get OKC or the field or Scotty Scheffler and the field. Well, I would take the field in both instances. But with okc, you got to beat him four times. Scotty Scheffler, you got to beat him once. Now he gets four days to try to come up with a lead that might be insurmountable or to come back from a deficit to win. But I would probably lean towards OKC because it's going to be four games. You got to beat them and that will be very difficult. Okc, by the way, clinched home court advantage. They have the number one seed throughout the tournament. Coming up, the playoffs. All right, let's see. 8, 7, 7, 3 DP show operator Tyler sitting by. He'll take your phone calls. Watching a little bit of basketball. OKC with the win over the Clippers. So the first team with a three season streak as the number one seed overall. The last time this happened, the 2015, 16, 17 Golden State Warriors. You know, if you go back like 20 plus years, we would be asking the question, you get Tiger or the field, or you get the Lakers or the field. Now it's Scotty Scheffler and the field and Oklahoma City and the field. Any other poll questions? Seaton, if you want to go with that one or you had something else for the first hour of the program.
Seaton
Yeah, no, I think we're riding with that one for the first hour.
Dan Patrick
Okay, that's a fun question. All right, so you get OKC or the field. You get Scotty Scheffler on the the. Or the field. So pull question. Play the stat of the day. All of that forthcoming. And operator Tyler sitting by. He'll take your phone calls. We were kind of lamenting the how do I get to watch the Masters? I got to go to masters.com or paramount. Plus, you know, there's. There's quite a few places, steps that you can go and watch the Masters. And, you know, the more we started talking about it, I said, wait a minute, hold on, hold on. It used to be you would get maybe three or four hours of the Masters on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday would be a little more extended. But still, you didn't have these other options. They didn't used to show you the front nine. People had no idea what the front nine looked like. They're like, okay, we saw somebody tee off, but then that would be it. You wouldn't see. And there's so many great holes on the front nine, the first nine. And we would just see, you know, the. The second nine, not the back nine. The second night. See, I would screw up if I, you know, I'd say, man, this gal. Patrons are. I'd be. I'd be in trouble. And having been down there for SportsCenter, you got to learn the terminology. You're reminded now it's not a sheet of paper. But my coordinating producer, Mike McQuaid at SportsCenter, big golfer, and he had to give me this refresher every time that we would go there, because he said, you got to make sure you say the right things. So when Van Pelt joins us, if I say, hey, how are the galleries? He's going to go, patrons, the first nine, second nine. You know, just little things there, but it's fun. You know, I feel like this is the first real day of spring just because, you know, you get to see Augusta and. And it'll be in full bloom. There's no rain. The winds will die down. I'm curious if anybody gets to double digits, you know, by the end of the tournament. But it's fun. You know, Rory doesn't have to worry about this career grand slam. Scheffler just, you know, had a newborn baby. The par three was wonderful yesterday because it's just about family, and I've known Van Pelt for a long time. That's as good a mood as I've ever heard him. He was giddy. He just thought it was wonderful. You know, you got little kids rolling down the hill. They're playing in the sand like it's a sandbox. And it was. It was just fun to see that, because you don't see that side of these. These athletes, but to be able to watch that, it's beautiful. The par three wasn't created when I played there, but that would be. I. I would love to play one one day on Augusta. I would love to do the par three where you could do 18 holes. But I remember it wasn't as featured when I was there. Although I got to the ninth hole on the par three, and Peter Jacobson. I was caddying for Peter Jacobson, and he handed me a wedge. He goes, go ahead. I go, now there's crowd around watching this. And I go, I'm not hitting this. He goes, oh, no. You guys on TV always talk about how easy this is. You know, I misspoke. I caddied in the par 3. So I'm there with Payne Stewart, and pain has given me a lot of grief, as he would always do. That's the kind of person pain was. He loved to needle you. He's like, okay, come on. So I didn't. I didn't hit a tee shot on nine, and I regret that. We got to the green, and I had. Peter Jacobson had, like, a 50 foot crazy breaking putt. And then Payne Stewart goes, go ahead. Why don't you put it. I got. I don't know where I'm hitting. And he goes, all right, I'll read the putt. So I'm there with a, you know, Peter Jacobson's putter, and I'm got to go up over this. It looked like an elephant had been buried in the green, and. And I got to go up over this, you know, hump, and then it, you know, rifles down to the hole, and it's one of those where I just thought, if I get it to the top of the hill and let it trickle down I'm okay. I just didn't want to hit it up and have, you know, be Sisyphus and have, you know, the Rock come down on me. But it was one of those great moments where you get to see these guys with their personalities just having fun because the stress starts today. But Scott Van Pelt will join us coming up. All right, so we got our poll question here. And Seaton's last day will be tomorrow. What do you got like a Christmas sweater on today? What do you got on today? I do. Yeah. You seem like dressed up.
Paulie
Yes, Paul, that's a breezy beachy sweatshirt. Look, I kind of like. It's like we're almost in summer.
Dan Patrick
Oh, okay. I thought it was like a sweater.
Paulie
That's my kind of style.
Dan Patrick
Okay. It's.
Seaton
I don't know. Yeah, just.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, I guess.
Seaton
Getting ready for vacation.
Dan Patrick
Well, all right. You look dressed up. Thanks. Yeah, you gotta comb your hair. You look nice.
Seaton
How about that?
Amazon Advertiser
Yeah.
Dan Patrick
Yeah.
Paulie
Paul, a couple things for you. Dan. Nice Sisyphus reference to start off with.
Dan Patrick
Thank you.
Paulie
A couple more terms at the Masters they don't call it the front nine and back nine. They call it the first and second night. That I didn't know. That's not as obvious. You said patron instead of spectator or fan. Also, they don't use the rough. Second cut. There's a lot of terminology.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, but there's no rough down there. That's the problem. It's not really roughy. They're not ruffians down there.
Paulie
Second cut.
Dan Patrick
I wish they had more rough down there because it used to be these guys would blast it. Now there are a couple of players and this is something that Augustus said yesterday. They may look at trying to limit how far you can hit the golf ball. And I wondered about this for over 10 years. Augusta can do whatever it wants. Augusta can say we, you must comply with what we want out of a golf ball. And so if you're Titleist or you know, tailor made or whatever it is, you must comply with what, you know, their standards are. Cuz there is an amateur who can hit it 325 yards. Carry, carry. So he's going to hit it 340. And look, Rory does that DeChambeau. But here's. You know, I, I forget what his name is, but he, he told the head of Augusta that he carried the first bunker on the first hole, which is a 325 yard carry. Augusta doesn't want that. But you know, they tiger proofed it and everybody was like, Oh, I can't believe they're tiger proofing it. They Jack Nicklaus, they Golden bear proofed it a long, long, long time ago. They've tried to keep up with the times. They. They. They can't add too many yards. They can only they've extended some of these holes like 11. They move back 10. They can't do anything about. You know, there's a few of them where they. They've moved it back as far as they can go, and they want to make sure that the course is able to hold up, But Augusta can do that. If they say, if you're playing here, you got to play with a golf ball that meets our standards. And technology has surpassed a lot. You know, it's made, you know, some of these golf courses obsolete. And, you know, that would make me nervous that you have these courses who have. That have withstood, you know, a century, and I would hope that they would continue to do that. But the Masters did talk about that yesterday.
Paulie
Yeah, Paulie Gary Player, the legendary golfer, was out there yesterday and this morning, by the way, he's 90, and he's way more flexible than any of us in this room. It's very frustrating. He talked about how the long ball really hurts par fives and takes away the challenge of getting a birdie on a par five. Birdie is expected now on par fives.
Dan Patrick
Well, you're going to get guys who hit the ball so far, and then they'll hit a driver, and then they'll hit an eight iron into a par three. It shouldn't be that way, but I'm going to give these guys credit for figuring out how to launch the ball, use the ground. And, I mean, this is scientific of what they've done. And then you add the golf ball there, and then you add club head speed, and then you have the driver itself. Now, your results may vary because my golf ball is not going there. If I hit it 260, I'm like, yeah. I mean, these. These guys. And the joke is, you know, I. When I played out at the. The Tahoe tournament, and I remember hitting a drive, and I thought, man, that's pretty good. And I'm playing with Drew Brees, and he said something about, hey, who put a hotel here? And I go, what do you mean? He goes, no, the hotel that's in between. My ball in your ball. I went, okay, all right. That's funny. Y. Yeah.
Seaton
See, that thing about that Paul was just talking about with the. Your par five is you're driving too far. Now, so it took away the challenge. Sounds a lot like an old pitcher in baseball being like, everybody throws 100 now. What's with everybody? You know, like, people have just refined the game more, and the, you know, I understand the clubs are different. I understand balls different. But, you know, the mechanics and the technique of it are so refined at this point.
Dan Patrick
Well, they enhance the ball. Bats are better.
Seaton
Yeah.
Dan Patrick
Tennis, the rackets are better. You know, this is just technology. But the Masters is saying. And, you know, I'll talk to Van Pelt more about it. He'll have more information. But this is about. We. We don't want these great par fives to be sort of overwhelmed. I mean, they have a par three that's. I think it's on the front nine. It's like 242 yards, and it's uphill. And I hit driver on a par three. I mean, you're not supposed to do that, but that's what the hole is. But then there you can get home. And. And Maybe I birdied 13 and birdied 15, but on different days. But still, I didn't get there in two. I got there in three, which is what, you know, they would love to have. But, you know, it's modern technology. These guys are, you know, they're all mostly jacked, and they're in great shape. Used to be, you know, a golfer could have something hidden in his bag. Little nip here, smoking heaters. You know, it was John Daly, like. Now these guys, probably on a calorie count and, you know, all kinds of uncrustables. Yes. You got somebody preparing their meals and putting them in the bag. But it is great. It's a great event. I say it every year. If you can go, Wednesday is the day to go, because you can. You can see everything. The players in good moods. It's a relaxed environment. Do not take out your phone. Don't. Because I saw his story. Mark Calavecchia got kicked out of the Masters for using his phone. This a former professional. This is a guy who's won a major. He. He won 13 times in the PGA Tour. He won the Open Championship in 1989. He wasn't participating, but he was there on the ground, and he had his cell phone. They kicked him out. Yes.
Amazon Advertiser
He's being heckled now with.
Dan Patrick
Call Kavekia
Paulie
Calcavecchia. Call Kvecchia.
Amazon Advertiser
Like a cell phone call.
Dan Patrick
All right. How are we doing today so far? Good. I'm in a lenient mood. I mean, it's a beautiful day, you know, These last couple days are about seaton, so not really, you know, bothered by that one. I'll shake that one off a little bit. As you should. Thank you, Todd. All right, we'll take a break. We'll settle on our poll question. Phone calls coming up, we'll talk to Dave Roberts. We got Dan Hurley, Scott Van Pelt. We're back after this Dan Patrick Show.

You got to do a little work if you want to watch the Masters before the network broadcast. Masters.com I think. Paramount+ yeah, Paulie.
Paulie
Oh, you're just scratching the service, Dan. Today and Friday, you have to start out early@masters.com then you have to pivot to Paramount plus for eight to noon Eastern. Then from noon to two you have to shoot over to Amazon prime. And then 2pm to 6:30pm it's on ESPN. That's Thursday and Friday.
Dan Patrick
Okay.
Paulie
On Saturday and Sunday, the morning Sesh is masters.com and Paramount plus the rest of the day is on CBS.
Dan Patrick
It's a tradition unlike any other.
Paulie
I count six different networks.
Dan Patrick
Yes. Todd. Does the average sports fan or casual
Amazon Advertiser
golf fan, are they willing to do
Dan Patrick
that kind of work? No idea. Casual? No. But if you love Golf, and you want it on background, and you get to see the, you know, the first nine. I mean, you didn't get this opportunity, you know, five years ago, 10 years ago. And I think that that's a benefit if you love golf. And this is a standalone tournament because it goes back to the same venue, the only one that goes back to the same course year in and year out. And, you know, I look forward to it. But the one thing Paulie was saying, man, it just doesn't seem like it's that difficult when you look at that course. And I said, well, TV is very, very misleading, because if you walk the course, it's very hilly. There's no other course on tour that comes close to the elevation of Augusta. You never have a lie that is flat. It's always a little bit to the, you know, leaning this way or that way. Now there's no wind. The weather's going to be great, but that might dry out things. And then all of a sudden, things and. And the greens, you know, when. Okay, once again, I played those back in the 90s, and I was so concerned of how fast these greens were going to be. Now when I was playing them, they're different than how they're going to play this weekend, but it can intimidate you because there's no flat putts either. Like, it's.
Amazon Advertiser
You're.
Dan Patrick
You're like, I got to hit it over here. I got to hit it up here. It's down here, it's side, you know, all kinds of crazy things. So it's very, very subtle. But that's why experience is so important here, because you can try to over, you know, try to dominate it, overwhelm the course, you know, by hitting it as far as you can hit it. But there's still places where it's just you. You got to put it here, and if you don't, you're in trouble. And that tee shot on 18, and I played it all the way back because I wanted to know what that felt like. And it. I swear, it felt like the trees were growing in, making it tighter on the tee box. So when you're hitting your tee shot, you can't help but see the overhanging trees and go, man, I don't know if I can get this through this. And then you do, and you're like, you already felt like, you know, you won something. But even on 16, it's a par three, and, you know, we played. There's no bleachers there. There's nothing there. And you Go, this isn't that difficult. And it wasn't. But then if you Sunday, where it's packed and you know a tournament's on the line and you're Greg Norman and you put it in the water like, you can't even fathom that he did that. When you stand on that tee and you're hitting the same tee shot they're hitting, and you know if you hit it up high, it rolls down and you know you can get a birdie. And I remember standing on that tee and I go, how did Greg put it in the water? But that's pressure and there's, you don't know how to gauge that. You don't know how these guys process that because, hey, Thursday at 8 o', clock, teeing off. Yeah, it's great. Now all of a sudden it's Sunday, you know, like 5, 30, 2 in the afternoon, you're standing over a putt. Yes, Paulie, I have full holes, 4,
Paulie
5 and 6 up. And like you said, it's all rolling. But for a person who doesn't play golf, especially at this level, it looks manageable. But then when I look at a British Open course, one of the UK courses with those pot bunkers and the, the, the rough that's four feet high, it looks drastically harder again, to a layman.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, it is. I mean, it's very difficult. But you know, Tiger famously stayed out of all bunkers for an entire four days at the British Open, which is impossible. I mean, it, it, it's, it's just mind boggling because there, you'll see when you're playing the British Open, you'll be on the T and you'll go, where am I hitting it? Now, these guys know where they're hitting. But I'm asking my caddy, I go, where, where am I hitting it? He goes, right there. You know, he's like, don't you see where you're supposed to hit it? And then you've got all this growth of pot, bunkers, greens, fairway. You don't even know if it is the fairway. I mean, it, it's just those are the fun things now. Steady diet of British Open or steady diet of Augusta? I'll take Augusta. But it, you know, if you're a golfer, being able to experience British Open golf, golf in Europe, it's wonderful. Then the people are wonderful as well. The odds. Scotty Scheffler is your big favorite. Then it's John Rom, Bryson DeChambeau, Rory McElroy, Xander Shafley, Ludvig Oberg, Cameron Young. Let me see anybody else in here? Tommy Fleetwood, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Rose, Robert McIntyre, Colin Morikawa, Brooks Kepa, and Min Wu Lee.
Seaton
Okay,
Dan Patrick
yeah, I'm going to take the field instead of Scotty Scheffler, but I would probably take OKC versus the field. Just because OKC has home court advantage throughout, you're going to have to beat him four times. Okay. Couple of phone calls in here. Chris in Syracuse leads us off. Hi, Chris.
Caller Stan
Stan, I got a couple things for you and a question for Seaton. SGA dropped 20 on the nose last night to keep his now incredible 140 game streak with 20 or more points alive. A lot of those games, the Thunder helps him along and make sure he gets his 20 before he hits the shower. And it further illustrates Bam's not alone in getting a little help when it comes to record nights. Also, Dan, you and a lot of journalists are right. The Houston Texans are going with the fifth year option when it comes to CJ Stroud and going with a wait and see approach instead of extending him long term at probably 60 million a year, which Stroud was hoping for. I know Rich in Chicago may still feel that this is a mistake, but the majority of people feel this is a smart and prudent move by the Texans. A question I always wanted to ask. Seaton, I'm guessing for you life's just killing time between games and life's just killing time between songs. Sports and music, two of your biggest passions. If you had to go your entire life with one of them never existing, which one would it be?
Seaton
Oh, man. Never exists. I would have to choose music over sports.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, I would. Yeah, I would.
Seaton
Yeah. Music is like air. You know, you. You need it. It makes everything better.
Dan Patrick
Chris in Syracuse.
Caller Alex
Yeah.
Seaton
I mean, look at how much music they play at sporting events. Yeah, right. Yeah. Makes everything better.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. What else did Chris have to say? You know, he had like a few points there. There was one of us, as he does. I was gonna. Oh, he was talking about SGA getting help. I think SGA took one free throw last night. Does that sound right? Joker had another triple double. Denver, I think's won 10 in a row. I know. Here he comes. He's gonna talk about Joker. He's the best player in the game. Okay. Yes. You're not going to win mvp. Sga. He's done a incredible job for that team. And number one overall seed Joker had a triple double and he play the fourth quarter. Yes, Marvin.
Amazon Advertiser
But why are people complaining about you talking about the most unique play we've ever seen in Wemby and the best player in the NBA currently in Joker. We could be like other networks that talk about the same thing over and over again, but we talk about what's relevant, who's the best at their profession.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, it's okay. I. I think people are going to be on the wrong side of history when they look back and say, wait a minute, that guy didn't win the mvp. He's having a better year than he had when he won MVPs. It's just because his team didn't, you know, he was out. He missed, you know, quite a few games. But he's the best player. He's the most unique player. He's the best player. But, you know, this is about value, how you assess value. Wemby. I've been around this game a long, long time. I mean, God, when you watch somebody improve right before your very eyes, that's what's fun about this. He is. I mean, it's both ends of the floor. It's every single play. You know, some guys, you're kind of looking around to see, okay, wait a minute, where's Cade Cunningham or Jalen Brunson? You know, you're like, guys pick their spots. You can't watch a game with Wemby and not see him do something. Even Joker, certainly on the offensive end. But when you're leading the league in rebounds and assists, if he wanted to, he could lead the league in scoring. Imagine that triple crown. He's not taken anywhere near the shots that he's taken before. I think he took like eight shots last night or nine shots, made seven double figures, ended up with a triple double. He could lead the league. Is there any other player in the game who could lead the league in points, rebounds, in assist? And the answer is maybe Russell Westbrook, maybe Russ. But Joker's the other guy. Yes. More.
Amazon Advertiser
Do you think history is going to be kind of Joker if he only walks away with one championship and maybe four or five MVP awards?
Dan Patrick
Well, they might look at him like Aaron Rodgers. MVPs, one Super Bowl. Is he going to be a top five center of all time? Would be the next kind of step that I would say, yeah. I don't know how history will look at this. He should have won another mvp. I mean, he could. He could have. That Otani kind of. I got five MVPs, finished second twice, but he's going to be second probably again this year. So I don't know. Is he A top five center of all time would be the next kind of question that I would attach to him. And I just don't know if he wants to play, how long he wants to play. I don't think he's going to be that guy who's just hanging on, like, if he's still playing in five years, I will be shocked because I think he'll be all right. This was fun. Now I'm going back home with my horses. Yeah, Paulie.
Paulie
I was going to ask kind of a similar question to Marvin. I think sga, Giannis and the Joker all are going to get a little slighted by history because they didn't come in as stars. All three of them were slow burns. None of them made an All Star game in their first three NBA seasons. They were acquired tastes. You know, Hakeem Olajuwon came in famous. David Robinson came in famous. So on. Shaq was a world famous when he came in, and I think that gives him an uphill battle for relevancy in comparison to those guys. It's a different era, of course.
Dan Patrick
Well, okay, I can look at it two different ways, because Shaq had to then live up to all of this attention. Akeem had to live up to all this attention. David Robinson, all this attention. Whereas Kawhi came in quietly. Joker came in quietly. Giannis came in quietly. Wemby didn't come in quietly. There was, you know, a big curiosity with him, but nobody knew anything about Joker. Nobody. I mean, even Luca. I mean, I saw a video of him playing in a European League game and. But I didn't know there was a curiosity. And I kept going, he's not going to get that shot off in the NBA. He's not fast enough to get. But, you know, once again, he knew. He knows how to play angles. It's same thing with Joker, because if you look at him, you go, man, he barely makes it up and down the floor. And then all of a sudden, he makes it up and down the floor, and then there's a bounce pass, and then there's one over his head, and then there's a three over Wemby. And then, you know, like, that's just understanding how to play basketball. David in Ohio. Good morning, David. What's on your mind today?
Caller David
Hey, Dan Duck's got a couple comments for Seaton. He does a great job with the poll question, and his laugh is very contagious. My favorite laughing moment was Seaton is when Todd kind of slurred his asses a while back. That was really funny. And also the Tony Romo impression is great seed in one question. What would Tony Romo sound like if he was calling the Masters with Jim Nance?
Caller Alex
Thank you.
Dan Patrick
It's a tradition unlike any other. Tony. I don't know, Jason, Is it a hybrid? Is it a four? I don't know. What are you using off the teeth? Par four kind of in the middle here.
Seaton
I don't know.
Dan Patrick
I don't think Augusta would appreciate Tony Romo in the booth. You know, you got to be more. There has to be reverence here. Be funny, though.
Seaton
The predictions are a little different.
Dan Patrick
I think he's going to put this one here.
Seaton
Yeah, no kidding. Of course he's going to.
Dan Patrick
He's either going to make it or miss it, Jim. Thank you, David. Let's see. Dustin in Alabama. Hi, Dustin.
Caller Dustin
Oh, man, they got me off. Hello. Good to see you again, Dan. Hey. I'm gonna try to get out two quick real things. And a rare request. This is my favorite week of the year. Today is my youngest son's 13th birthday. I skipped going to the Masters 12 years ago today to be at home and celebrate his first birthday. So with that being said, hey, I just really want to say, man, me and so many others really appreciate you guys. Seaton, just so much tremendous stuff you've given to me over all these years of listening to the show and the advice you give. And just like you, man, I've made a lot of different changes in my life so that I could be there for my two sons. So really appreciate that. And, yeah, I knew I wasn't gonna be able to get the rest. So, yeah, man, if y' all want to give my kid a shout out, Bailey Grant, 13th birthday teenager today, that'd be awesome.
Dan Patrick
Now you just gave that shout out. All right. Happy birthday. Yeah.
Paulie
Paul, not to go all Fritzy on you, but if you're gonna miss a kid's birthday, I think the first birthday is the one you could miss. They're not gonna remember it. It'll get lost in the mix with other birthdays.
Dan Patrick
Your wife will remember.
Webull Advertiser
Yeah, Yeah.
Paulie
A couple mimosas should be.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. At the birthday party. Yes, Marv.
Amazon Advertiser
So for my son's first birthday, my wife was like, no, this is about us keeping a human alive for a full 365 days, cuz. She was like, marvin's the father. We're not sure how this is going to roll.
Dan Patrick
Wait, was there a Maury Povich moment here? Oh, wow. What are you.
Caller David
No, no.
Dan Patrick
What are you. What are you talking about?
Amazon Advertiser
No. What do you mean?
Dan Patrick
You just said, and Marvin is the father.
Amazon Advertiser
No, no, no. Marvin. Marvin is involved in this. How long are we going to keep this human alive? No, there wasn't any.
Dan Patrick
It did sound like that.
Seaton
It was delivered a little funny.
Dan Patrick
Yes. Yeah.
Seaton
And
Dan Patrick
Marvin is the father.
Caller David
Look at that stare.
Amazon Advertiser
Oh, give it up for Marvin. Go to a taping of Mori is so good. You see these producers. Shaniqua. Shaniqua get really upset with Tyrone. Get really upset. Shaniqua. Shane get upset with him.
Dan Patrick
Did you work that show?
Amazon Advertiser
I did not. I went as a. What is it like an audience member and it was like, Shaniqua, get upset with him. Get upset with him.
Dan Patrick
Shaniqua.
Amazon Advertiser
Wrong. Daquan is really upset.
Dan Patrick
Wait a minute. Didn't you date Shaniqua? Didn't you go. Come on. In high school.
Caller David
Oh, careful.
Dan Patrick
Did you date somebody named Shaniqua?
Amazon Advertiser
We're up against the heart.
Seaton
Getting a little long here.
Amazon Advertiser
Yes, it is.
Dan Patrick
And you are the father.

Seaton
Yeah, early results. We have two of them up there right now. One provided sort of a 50, 50 from Paul and Chris at Syracuse. If you had to give up one. Sports or music? Right now, music has about 68% of that vote. That is the wrong answer. And who would you bet on to win? Oklahoma City or Scottie Scheffler? Oklahoma City Thunder have about 59% of that vote.
Dan Patrick
All right, Anthony in Atlanta. Hi, Anthony. What's on your mind?
Caller David
Hi, Dan. First of all, wanted to say very touching yesterday when Seaton and Fritzi hugging it out.
Dan Patrick
So that was very nice to see. Second, their fingers interlocking, of course, just coincidence. Yes. Just coincidental. What's going on in society.
Paulie
Society.
Caller David
Had you seen the birth of espn, the piece on the Rats Muffins, the father son who starred in it. And I was wondering if you thought that the way that it was handled with them, once they kind of built it up or brought it to fruition and to get eased out, what were your thoughts on any of that?
Dan Patrick
I didn't see it. I met Mr. Rasmussen, but I didn't really know the backstory. And don't, you know, I don't even know what the 30 for 30 or documentary is about, if it's just about the beginnings of espn, because that's what I was told, that there was going to be a movie and this was going to be kind of like the Social Network, because this is about now. They were going to do a documentary based off of Jim Miller's book. And he's been telling me that for, you know, quite some time. I don't know if it's going to happen, but like the Social Network was about them creating, you know, this Mark Zuckerberg and. But there was a book out, so it's based off of that. This was going to be about, I think the beginnings of espn. I don't think it was going to be about, you know, Chris Burman or myself or Keith Oberman or Stuart Scott. I don't think it was going to be about that. I think it was going to be about the inner workings of somebody creating something. And then, you know, big business comes in and they decide that they're going to take over and not look back. Yeah, Paulie.
Paulie
Yeah. There was a book called Accidental Billionaires, and they made it into the movie Social Network. But if you look at that movie about Michael Jordan signing with Nike, when I first heard that concept, like, they're gonna make a movie about a guy signing a contract.
Dan Patrick
Yeah.
Paulie
But you get Ben Affleck in it, you get Matt Damon, all of a sudden it goes somewhere.
Dan Patrick
Well, it's all about, what are you doing? How are you getting that shoe together? You got to put a prototype in front of Michael.
Caller Alex
You.
Dan Patrick
Michael's not involved. It's more his mom who's involved, and she's the one that made the decisions that made Mike a billionaire. You know, the Sonny Vaccaro portion of that. But that's. That's what I think. The espn, if there is a movie, a docudrama, then it would be about the beginnings of espn. Let's see. Alex in Utah. Hi, Alex. What's on your mind today?
Caller Alex
Hey, good morning, gentlemen. Thanks for having me back. So just calling in, just like everyone else. Really wanted to thank Satan for the last several years. We're certainly going to miss him, but I'm really excited for this next chapter in his life. I recently became a father, and so anytime I hear about people making decisions to put their children first really gets to me, which is one of the reasons I love this show so much. You guys all seem to really value fatherhood, and I think you guys are great examples for the rest of us, I guess. One last request from. From Seaton I. Every four years, I am such a soccer fan for the World cup, and so I'm so, so stoked this summer that's going to be here in our home turf. But I just don't know the players or the stories that well because I don't follow it in the. In between.
So if.
Seeing if you had, like, a quick guide or some tips for someone that wants to get into European soccer but that just doesn't know the best way to crack that nut. Yeah. Just hoping to get some tips on how to get into European soccer more,
Seaton
I would stay tuned for that type of content.
Dan Patrick
Oh, okay. Yeah, there's a T. Yeah.
Caller Stan
Yeah.
Dan Patrick
Okay. Yeah.
Seaton
I think what I'm gonna do is do like, sort of a. A World cup primer for the US national team, because a lot of people don't know who they are and then sort of their international counterpart. Right. So, like, if Christian Pulisic is our star winger, than England, it's Bukayo saka. You know, and so you sort of compare them. They play the same position. They do the similar things.
Dan Patrick
Nelly in Kansas. Hi, Nelly. Hey, good morning.
Caller Alex
Thanks for having me on. 62 growing 230. Take the chance to an ode to Seton and the creator originator of Crappensburg State with some Crabsburg State athletic team taglines, if I may. Okay, so the football team. Bloop, bloop. Duke's touchdown. Okay, for the basketball team. Get that chart out of here. For swimming. How about Dukes clear the pool? Or Duke swimming? We put the poo in pool.
Dan Patrick
Thank you, Nelly.
Paulie
Part of your legacy, Seaton.
Dan Patrick
I know Seaton came up with Crappensburg State.
Paulie

Dan Patrick
Yeah, it was like Jimmy Lipper. It was his throwaway lie. Oh, yeah. If they're playing like Crappensburg State, like,
Seaton
I think Alabama opens the scene on
Dan Patrick
Kravensburg State and all of a sudden we created Ravensburg State University. Real school. They got to be sponsored by dude, white man. Gotta be.
