Sign up@trugreen.com and then sit back and relax. Alrighty. Poll question. Play of the day. Stat of the day. All of that forthcoming. I have the point spreads for the next two games. The final four with March Madness. We'll start there, then work our way back. Illinois is favored by 1 1/2 against Connecticut. Michigan is favored by 1 1/2 against Arizona. Who needs Cinderella's? These were great games. The Michigan, Arizona game, you're going to hear people say, well, that should be for the national title. Well, it's not. You know, it's like Seattle against San Francisco or, you know, hell, that should be for the Super Bowl. But it's not, you know, usa, Russia for the Olympic gold medal. But it wasn't. It was the previous game. Illinois is, you know, you got to watch them. And this is what happens with some of these schools. You're kind of forced to watch them because they're the ones playing in these big games. Illinois is not a fluke. They are a big team. Good team, got a really good coach. And, you know, watching that game against Iowa, they were real. They're relentless. And, you know, I look at UConn, I don't think this is a great UConn team. Not even a really good team. It's just a team. And, and Sometimes that's all you need when you get to this point in the season and Danny Hurley's done a great job. You know, I don't think they have a go to guy and they hung in there. You're down 15 against Duke. You don't lose. Duke doesn't lose those games, right? Yes, they do. It was 19 points at one point in the game. And then you start to Look. Duke's last four losses, led by 14 against Houston in the Final Four, lost. Led by 17 against Texas Tech, lost. Led by 13 against North Carolina, lost. Led by 19 against Connecticut yesterday and lost. This is the stat of the day, Stat of the day brought to you by Panini America. 10 seconds left in the game and Duke had a timeout. Possession arrow to Connecticut. And you know, these are things you take for granted. You want the ball in your ball handler's hands and they had that, you know, do you panic in a moment like that? Yes. Do. Things are, you know, they speed up. You know, same thing with Chris Weber. If, you know, you can't call a timeout, but you get in that moment, you call a timeout, you start to look at, okay, did you try to go over the top? Could you go over the top? You're trying to. If you get it over the top, you get a dunk, the game is over. Or worst case scenario, let them foul you or, you know, you don't want to get the possession arrow. Then all of a sudden, Connecticut is going to have more time on the clock, but you can call timeout. And, you know, I'm sure John Shire said all of those things to his team in that last timeout, but here is the head coach at Duke, starting with the question, what was going through your mind on that last possession? Well, yeah, you just. We just have to secure it, right? I mean, we got it. They had a foul. I was ready for a timeout, and we just got to hold on. And, you know, it's easy to look at that play. You know, I look at every play that happened, especially in the second half. This is not about one play. It's about every play to put us in that position. And that's what you don't want to do, where one play, something can happen. And so for me, look, it's. It's going to be tough, but it's not going to be on one play. And he's right about that. Give Connecticut credit for staying in that moment. You're down 15, you're down 19, but you're chipping away little things. Rebounds, turnovers, points off turnovers. That was the difference. Duke played a perfect first half. Perfect. And when Charles Barkley said, I don't see Connecticut coming back, I go, connecticut's going to win this game because Charles is never right on his bets. But they hung in there, and this is how it sounded. Here is the Duke call on the game winner. Boozer bobbled it back for Sar. Needs to get rid of it. Does for Kaden. Seven seconds. Try to throw it ahead. Deflected, stolen by Connecticut. 2 seconds. Mullens up top for the win. Oh, he hit it. With 3/10 of a second to go, Malachi Smith ran off the bench. That should be a technical, but with 3/10 of a second to go, Connecticut has the lead, 73 to 72. That's courtesy of the Blue Devil Sports Network. Yes, Paul. People on social media, when they heard the Duke announcer try to grab a technical for a player on the bench running two steps onto the court to celebrate, they said, that's the most Duke thing of all time. Yeah, you know, there was another game yesterday that was one of the. Oh, by the way. Oh, yeah, Michigan ended up winning here. You're like, who's the other team that played yesterday? Oh, that's right. Yeah, I got the title odds. According to DraftKings, Michigan and Arizona have the best odds. They play each other. Then it's Illinois and Connecticut. So it's Arizona and Michigan plus 175. Illinois is plus 400. Yukon plus 550. Here is the Yukon call of the game winner. They double them back to Saar. Now I had Decaden Boozer and a steal. Mullins gets it. It's caravan to Mullins. Long range three. Oh, it went in. Mullins delivers Bedlam. Bedlam here. That's courtesy of the Yukon Sports Network from Learfield. And, you know, that's. That's not a heave. That was just a long jumper for a kid who in high school made about 47% of his three pointers. He was one of the Mr. Indiana basketball players. And, you know, 20 years ago, he doesn't end up at Connecticut, he's at Indiana. But, boy, times have changed. And you start to look at the list of great players that Connecticut has had and has nothing really to show for it. Duke, I should say Jason Tatum, Zion Williamson, Cooper Flag, Paolo Bancaro, Cam Boozer, Con caniple, RJ Barrett, Cam Reddish, Marvin Bagley. You know, I think it was probably 10 years ago when we had Coach K on and I said, you know, would you rather have the one and done or have the guy who's staying there three or four years. He said, you can't pass up the one and done. And this isn't necessarily an indictment on the one and done because you can't pass up Zion or Cooper Flag or the boozers. But you do need those seasoned guys. You do. And I think, you know, UConn's approaches. Let's get one of those guys. And then we're going to have guys who are going to stay two or three years or maybe four years with Reed and. And you do need that. But it was fun to watch, you know, because it was halftime and I thought, I gotta find something else to do and let me watch the golf. And then all of a sudden flip back and I go, all right, they get it to like seven and then they got it to seven and you get it to five, and then all of a sudden it's three. Now all of a sudden that's where you wonder when we talk about comebacks, how much energy do you have once you get back and you're tied or getting really close? It takes a lot of energy to get to that point. You're down 15, you're down 19. Nothing's going your way. You're not shooting well at all. Yukon was 5 of 23 from three point range out, rebounded by six and they still won. But what three of those five came in the last couple of minutes. Those were the big ones. And Braylon Mullins, Darren Revelle, who keeps track of these things, said that the basketball from that shot may be worth up to $350,000. Well, I wonder where that ball is. I don't know how you get it. See, it's weird. Is it yours now? It's. It just Basketball hall of Fame. And it's one of those shots that's going to be worth a whole lot more if Duke wins or Connecticut wins the national championship. By the way, there's so many people who had no interest in either team, probably, except for please don't let Duke win. That's it. It's not necessarily, hey, I'm rooting for Connecticut. You're rooting for Connecticut because you're not rooting for Duke. And I started to wonder, is there any other school? And it's a tribute to Duke that, you know, Notre Dame football, Yankees, who else do you throw in? The Cowboys, the Lakers, maybe, where you just don't want them to win. And it feels like Duke is above all of them, you know, that we, we can't agree on anything as a country. But I think for the most part people agree. They don't want to see Duke succeed. But this isn't a team you dislike. I mean the boozers, I mean Shire is, you know, there's nothing antagonistic or not wild or crazy like Dan Hurt. He's not polarizing. It's just the history and it's a testament to that brand that it still resonates. People don't dislike Notre Dame like this. I mean, you like their head coach, the Lakers, okay. The Yankees, they haven't won. You know, Cowboys, they haven't won. Yeah, Paulie, I think it's 100% right. Duke is at a different echelon of people enjoy watching them lose no matter who it's to. You just take the other side because they really haven't had a long term dip the past 10 years haven't been great, but it's not a dip dip. We will talk to Seth Greenberg from the mothership. He'll stop by watching Michigan, Michigan and Arizona, man, they don't mess around. Even though Arizona wasn't making their threes, but Michigan with Dusty May. So in his last four years he brought Florida Atlantic to a Final Four, brought Michigan to the Sweet 16 in his first year in Ann Arbor. Now he has the Wolverines in the Final four. I did reach out to a college source, I said, hey, what are the chances that these two coaches coaching in the Michigan and Arizona game are one of the two is going to go to North Carolina. And I was told that as of late last night, North Carolina doesn't believe that either one will be leaving their schools. North Carolina still not sure about the Kansas situation. They don't want to lose a great candidate. Billy Donovan is still in focus on their radar at North Carolina and as my source said, he has not said no and people he listens to want him out of Chicago. Sure, there's probably some others he's not listening to that want him out of there. But yeah, so that's as of late last night, my source, you start to look at the largest blown leads in tournament history. Iona blew a 25 point lead in 2012. Maryland a 22 point lead in 2001. Cincinnati in 2018 a 22 point lead. West Virginia no. 520 point. Tennessee in oh 720 points. North Carolina this year's tournament 19. Duke this year's tournament 19. Stat of the day. Stat of the day, Stat of the day. Stat of the day. Here comes that. What? Stat of the day. But you know, with the advent of the three pointer and, you know, the proliferation of three pointers taken in a game, you get that opportunity to come back because if you make them, you can make the comeback. And if you're missing them, you allow for the comeback. All right, see what's poll question for the first hour of the program. There's a classic right here. Duke blew that game or UConn won that game. Oh, Duke blew that game. I mean, you can't be up by 19 and then forget how you got up by 19 because they played defense. They were so great on the perimeter playing defense and then all of a sudden they forgot. I was told yesterday during the game, North Carolina is playing not to lose in the second half. And it felt like UConn and maybe Danny Hurley just said, hey, just keep going. Chip away, chip away, chip away, chip away. Hang in there. And you know, then they ended up getting those rebounds and points off. Turnovers were huge for them. And then all of a sudden doubt starts to creep in when you have a 19 point lead and all of a sudden it's single digits. Now all of a sudden you're going, wait, what's happening? How did we get here? How do we hold on and survive? And it was too late. It felt like now, granted, it took a miracle turnover and three pointer, but you allowed Connecticut to have that moment where they, they could win the game and they took advantage of it. All right, 877-3DP show we'll get to your phone calls. Best and worst of the weekend. What you saw that you liked, you didn't like. We'll talk to Seth Greenberg from the mothership. Soccer football is a story we've shared for over 30 years, since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team. Very debatable. And I was their most loyal and sometimes only fan. I love this game. I love its history, its hope, its heartbreak and above all, its beauty. Together we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things football, soccer is the most important. By the way, if you're watching on Peacock, we just unveiled our new grilling partner. Very excited about this Rec Tech. And a lot of things impressed me with the company. They approached us, they didn't think we'd ever be free agents after the partnership we had before. But they came in, did a demonstration, and those things are built like a tank. We also love that the grill can cook up to 1250 degrees. 1250? Yes. Every grill gets over 550 degrees. But we love the versatility, the durability, and the ability to be able to sear your stakes. So we broke them in, and we love the partnership, so it's great. Thank you. I know that a lot of people are curious about that after 10 years with Traeger, but Meat Fridays are going to be a whole lot better with Rec Tech. Yes, Paul, the meat eating continues is what you're saying. Yes, yes, yes, indeed. I wasn't going to let that go in the last two years. All right. 8, 7, 7, 3, DP Show. Email address dpdanpatrick.com Twitter handle DP Show. I've been there before when you speak to somebody after a loss, but they're professionals. Whether it was Mitch Williams giving up the home run to Joe Carter in the World Series in Toronto, Bill Buckner having the ball go through his legs. Now, that error, that game didn't necessarily cost them. That was game six. They could have won the World Series. But he still sat there and answers those questions. Dennis Eckersley with Kurt Gibson. But these are professionals. Kaden Boozer had to sit there and he had to answer these questions. He's 18 years of age. Now, granted, his father is a former professional player. His brother will be, you know, one of the top two or three picks in the draft. And he had played a really good game, and he had to sit there and answer what happened? I turned the ball over. I should have been strong with the ball. Cost our team our season. What did Coach Sire say before in that timeout before you guys were inbounding the ball there? Just that we. We knew that they were going to trap just to be sure. I want the ball. It's tough. That's tough. I don't care if your dad's a former NBA player or not or your brother's there on the team. He sat there. That's courtesy of WRAL TV in North Carolina. They're kids. It's easy for us to say, hey, what are you doing? But I'd love to know what was said in the huddle. I'm gonna guess that, you know, you have a timeout, possession arrow is Connecticut. It's exactly 10 seconds, worst case scenario. Now you don't. Connecticut's trying to get the worst free throw shooter on the floor to get the ball and then foul them. And if, you know, Boozer was 6 for 6 from the line, it just happened quickly. And then all of a sudden, you know, you realize Connecticut's going to win this. It was, wait a minute, turned it over and then all of a sudden pass and then jumper and then all of a sudden it's, you know, three or four tenths of a second left to go. But you know, I give him credit, 18 years of age, they didn't lose because of the turnover. They lost because of other turnovers and the points scored on those turnovers. This is the one going to be singled out. I get it. Kind of a bottom line sports society of that play and that jump shot, but it's so much more than that. But that's one of those ones that, you know, you're trying to figure out what can you say to him? What can his dad say, mom say, brothers say, teammates coach. There's nothing that eases, you know, the pain and he's probably never going to be on the same team as his brother again because his brother's going to the NBA. Now, I don't know if Caden is an NBA player. He's very good. Might be at Duke for four years, but that, that's a. There's a lot of things that probably went through his head that, yes, we lost. He's going to feel like he's the reason why you lost. And it's the last game. I play with my brother Gamp bowling. I know basketball coaches were tweeting and people who played the game were tweeting, said that was the wrong decision to try and throw it deep. But with the possession arrow towards Yukon, I wouldn't think you'd want to just stand there and hold the ball and give them a chance for the tie up when there's two six, 11 guys just down the court. Yeah. I was just wondering, can you throw? You know, worst case scenario. But it happened so quickly. It's easy to say, oh, in that moment, he didn't think he was going to be tipped, but give, give, you know, Demery hit a three and made the tip. And we'll, we'll forget about that. We'll remember Mullins with the jumper. We'll remember Boozer with the turnover there, but was a wild, wild finish. But one play didn't cost Duke. Many plays cost Duke. It was just the final one. We'll. We'll settle on that one. It's easy to do that. But the second half, they. They played not to. Not to lose. Yeah, Marvin. And unfortunately for somebody like Jon Shire, I think now his reputation is he can't win big games or keep big leads. Remember, he had Cooper Flag and Con Canipple last year in the Final Four against Houston when they were up with two minutes left in the game by a good stretch, you know, and lost that game, too. Connecticut scored 20 points off turnovers. You know, that's what brought him back. They played really good defense. I just thought Duke played the perfect half and there'd be no reason to think, why would that stop? But it did. Yeah, Paul, that list you gave of Duke players, they're almost all one and done guys. They didn't have a chance to get seasoned. I was looking at the UConn roster, the first seven players on UConn. Mullins is a freshman. Otherwise, it's three seniors and three juniors. That, that says a lot about why that team can get passed up. You got Tatum, Zion, Cooper, Flag, Paolo Bancaro, Cam Boozer, con caniple, RJ Barrett, Marvin Bagley, Jared McCain, Cam Reddish. You know, I mean, there. It's. When you have freshmen, as we found out with Kentucky, it's kind of fraught with. You get into these tight moments. And we've said this before with Kentucky, I mean, Duke has become kind of the new Kentucky because Kentucky's not getting these players like they once did. Duke is, but nothing to show for it. All right, let's see Chris in Syracuse. Good morning, Chris. What's on your mind today? Hey, thanks, Dan. I got a best and worse than a comment. And Dan, you were right. After all the complaining about Aaron Judge going over five with four strikeouts opening night. He's played in two games since and homeward in both. Like you said, you don't want him on your team. I'll take him. And I wonder if on that last shot, shot by Connecticut. If Bill Murray yelled out, it's in the hole. And to quote Joel and Risky business looks like University Illinois Fighting Illini go into the Final Four and doing it. Five players on their roster from overseas and they account for almost 60% of their scoring and over 50% of their rebounding. I wonder if this will be the new trend in college basketball now that schools can pay their players. And my worst football had its first ever four point field goal on Saturday. In a UFL game, you get four points for a field goal over 60 yards. The NFL Commission says that's a rule that he's toying with. Four points for a field goal and only six points for a touchdown. Yeah, I don't like it. All right. Thank you. Chris. Yeah, I missed the UFL this weekend. Oh, no. Yeah, I was busy. We taped it for you. I missed. I missed that. Zach and Knoxville. Isaac, what's on your mind today? Adp. Thanks for taking my call. Best of the weekend, investor of the weekend was that come back in that shot by Yukon. And I just wanted to ask you. It didn't get much traction. No traction on the broadcast, but if you look on social media right after UConn hits that shot, the reference is going to look at see how much time is left on the clock and him and Dan Hurley actually bump into each other. I'm glad there wasn't a technical foul call. But have you seen that video and what are your thoughts on that? I wouldn't have called anything in the moment. Hurley's excited. He's not angry at anybody. He's not trying to bump the official, the officials, his friend in that moment. Yeah, but I, I know the Duke announcers wanted a technical called on the Yukon bench. I mean, they did start to run on. Everybody was grabbing everybody. And I think that was the right no call in that situation. Gus in LA. Hi, Gus. What's on your mind? Good morning, Mr. President. Hoping the boys had a great weekend. That's the weekend, man. Both equally better than worse that game, man. You gotta feel like. Like you gotta feel for Boozer in that moment. You know, it's like, you know, he didn't do that. But at the same time, it's not the kid's fault. He didn't blow the lead. You know, the rest of the team did. It's on the team. The best. Obviously the shot. There's also a little bit of a worse of a weekend and I'm blaming Fritzi for something that he had nothing to do with. So if you boys remember all the way back, a few years back, he did a little comedy sketch with a little section row seat number. And then like, I guess like a, you know, like a week later, I'm at a concert, beautiful girl there and everything like that. I'm enjoying life. And these people in front of me were having a ticket issue. And I'm listening to this conference. I had a good time. But I keep on hearing this guy be like, no, dude, these are our seats. Look, section row seat number. And I'm like, I've got this beautiful woman here. Great concert. And I keep on picturing Fritzi. Fast forward to this past Saturday. I had a cousin of mine pass away. And he passed away a month ago, but he was a veteran. So they had to get like nae, like naval permission to get like the Bugle and all the Navy officers to come out and do the taps and all that, the presentation of the colors. So finally they do it. And it's an emotional day there. We're at Rose Hill Cemetery doing all this. And then finally at the end, after they're done playing taps, the priest comes up. And folks, we'd like to welcome everybody back to the church. There's a nice spread that's been put on by Ms. Burney and everything. And I'm sitting there, I'm like, fritzi, Jesus Christ, really? Fritzi's line from Friday after I die. Yes, the Patrick family would like to invite everyone back there home with their bagels and assorted pastries. Sort of pastries is the funniest part. Can it be just pastries? Why is it always assorted pastries? You can't just have chocolate chip cookies or something like that. Or cannolis. It's got to be a lot of rainbow cookies. You got to mix it up a little. David in Ohio. Hi, David. What's on your mind? Hey, Dan. Got a best and worst of the weekend. Best of the weekend's definitely Yukon draining that three at the end of the game to take down Duke. I can only imagine Marvin's tiny hands steering after that three went down. Worst of the weekend. Tiger woods getting into more trouble this past weekend. Just sucks to see and, and, but could possibly be. Happy Gilmore, three content, question mark. Thank you. All right. Thank you, David. Yeah, we'll talk about the Tiger woods situation. You know, Friday afternoon at 2 o' clock and you, you roll your SUV going through a neighborhood going too fast. But we'll, we'll talk about that. You know, I'm not here to lecture or preach or any of that. It's sad, but I just hope the people around him that's called tough love. And Tiger's still a brand. But man, the this isn't a one off, even two. I mean, this is a pattern. It's a habit. And he clearly needs help. And hopefully those who, you know, you get a lot of people who are paid to say yes. You know, you get handlers who were paid to say yes. And that's this isn't a situation where you just say yes. Mark and Saint Cloud, hi Mark. Welcome back. And a couple of things here. Best of the weekend Gratitude Lumberjacks representing the St. Cloud and Central Minnesota area winning their fifth Frazier cup championship down in St. Louis NA 3HL hockey worst of the weekend replacement ref being talked about for the NFL. As a Packer fan, I already have PTSD with just any talk of a replacement ref and poll question possibility and I've got a happy birthday. Don't cut me off, please. Poll question possibility how about receiving the Final Four since it looks like one semifinal much better than the other. And could you guys send a big time happy birthday out to my Uncle Tom who's been watching you for years. I mean, back when you were broadcast from like 8 to 11 eastern time. And then he'd watch the rebroadcast. He's a huge fan of your show, so a big happy birthday to him would be much appreciated. Happy birthday, Tom. Happy birthday. Loves to watch shows. He never stops watching us. Happy birthday, Tom. Yeah. Yeah, Paulie, I just went back after that. Caller said that Dan Hurley went head to head with an official after that shot. I thought this video was AI. I looked at this. Dan Hurley's jacket is half off because they've been corralling him. After the shot hits by Mullins, he walks up to the ref to just go over like the last few seconds and they kind of just kind of come together, their heads briefly. Very odd. It's, it's, I don't even know how to describe it on radio, but I'm not going to single that out and say, boy, the official should have teed him up. No, I, I think you got to understand the moment there. He's excited, jacket half on, half off. And he's probably, you know, asking about, you know, timeout, all of that, how much time on the clock. They did check it. I think they added a tenth of a second on it. So I think that's just, that would be a, a normal reset in the moment and, but I don't make anything of that. Yeah, Paulie I did go back and look at Hurley on the sidelines when the ball goes up to Alex Caravan with four seconds left, Caravan passes back to Mullins with three seconds left. Hurley turns towards the ref, who's three features left, and starts calling timeout. The ref can't see him because he has his back to him and can't hear him and does not call the timeout. Could you imagine, Because Hurley is signaling timeout as Mullins is getting the ball in his hands. I'm looking at the freeze frame, and that's why. And somebody said, oh, you got to give credit to Hurley. Let his players play. I don't know if he was going to let them play. You know, coaches micromanage, and in that moment, you're like, oh, you know, let's set up a play. Sometimes the best play is to let your players make that play, because I don't want you to set up your defense. Not in the moment. And Mullins, you know, he's the guy who gets the ball. He's the trailer. That's the guy. The trailer is the guy you always got to worry about. You know, Villanova won a national title because the trailer on that play. Yes, Marvin. Watching every single angle of that shot was fascinating. Watching Dan Hurley's mom go, holy bleeping bleep. After they. After Mullins hits the shot, and then Coach Shire going, put your hand up. He's literally, like, gesturing, put your hand up. And watching him turn around as Mullins hits the shot. Like, come on, put your. At least pretend to contest. Yeah, I know. And you could see Shire, who was a great scorer. He knows, like, that that was. That bench knew with that kid. You know, Mullins can make that shot. He hadn't been, but he can make that shot, and a shooter will know. And Shire certainly was that a score. You can see that form is great. Rotation is great. And you can tell if a shot's going to be short or not or even long, because it was going to be on. It was going to be on target. The question is, you know, was it going to get there? And that was Steph Curry like, yeah, Marv, it didn't touch the rim. No. You could tell he's done that hundreds, if not thousands of times. Yeah. Yep. Wild. That shot either kind of stays in Connecticut lore or it advances to March Madness lore. If they go to the championship game, if they would win a title, then all of a sudden, that shot, you know, that shot might turn out to be Bryce Drew. You know, his shot that he had for Was that Valpo? Yes. Seaton, that. To get the steal is highly unlikely. The turnover to get that is highly unlikely. And then to hit that shot, also pretty unlikely. To have both of those things happen in the span of two and a half seconds or whatever, it was crazy. Unreal. Yes. Marvin. Yesterday was the greatest sports moment of my life. Really? Yes. Okay, how about we take a break and then I'll let you tell the world why yesterday was the greatest sports day of your life. Moment. Moment. Okay. All right. So not a day, just a moment. All right, we'll take a break. Our play of the day. I wonder what the play of the day is going to be. Marvin. Now, who knows? Yep. Michigan played well yesterday. Back after this. Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Seaton. Yeah, we got up there. Did Duke blow it or did Yukon win it? I'm gonna let you guess those. I'm gonna say 90% say Duke blew it. 82%. Okay, 82%. A little more reasonable. Connecticut missed 17 of its first 18 three pointers, but made four of their last five, including the game winner, Celebrity Bracket Challenge. Ross Tucker. Ross Tucker has Illinois against Arizona in the title game. And that's that. Princeton Education. I'm in second place. I got Arizona against Florida. Frank Caledendo has Duke versus Michigan. Dylan is fourth. He's got St. John's versus Purdue. He won't stay in fourth. Yeah, that's not gonna hold. Yeah. Rebecca Lowe is in last place. Darius Rucker and Roger Bennett second to last. I thought Ovechkin would end up being in last place. So Marvin, prior to the commercial break, said that yesterday is greatest sports moment of his young life. Correct. Dp Now, I've had great Sports days, Connecticut is one. Before, in your lifetime, they won six national championships. But this one specific moment, this one shining moment. Look at you. One specific. One specific. Is that what they were going to call it? They were one specific moment. Very important to Marv. And so it was against Duke in the Elite Eight. They were down by 19 at one point. But I think. You know what? If you're a Duke fan, the Christian Leitner shot might be your favorite specific moment. So that's what I'm referring to. Or comparing it to, rather. Okay, so a moment over a game, Correct? Yes. Okay. All right. Well, congratulations, man. I got tea this morning. I was up until 1am last night. I am. Okay. We noticed that you had maybe a little glitter on. On your cheek. Is there some. Oh, I do, yes. Paulie goes. I. I could see it. Marvin's got maybe a little bit of glitter on your face. I did not see Tata Delalicious last night, I promise. You could have. Yeah. Okay. It's a celebration. I didn't know, you know, got out of hand. I had two High Noons yesterday. Didn't you? Yeah. Whoa. What? When you're down 19. No. To celebrate. Oh, okay. All right. Oh, no, no, no. I thought you started drinking early. All right. Russell in Philly. Hi, Russ. What's on your mind today? Hey, what's up, Dan? Dan X. Thanks for taking my phone call. Yep. 6, 1, 2, 17. So, I have a couple best and the worst. My best is anytime Duke loses is a celebration in my house. I'm a huge Tar Hill fan. Congratulations, Marvin. And your Huskies. Congratulations to the Wolverines. They came back and stopped the heck out of Tennessee. And my worst is my Phillies losing two out of three to the Texas Rangers. We got to do better. Rice, Harper and the guys. You guys have a good day. Thank you, Russell. By the way, I have a favorite college basketball player. It's not a he, it's a she. Hannah Hidalgo is. The kids like to say she's a dog. She is unbelievable to watch. Notre Dame lost to Connecticut. Notre Dame didn't have anywhere near the talent that UConn has. She is spectacular. She's so much fun to watch end to end. She plays defense. You do not. If you have the ball, do not turn your back on her because she will pick your pocket. There's an Iverson feel to her when Iverson was at Georgetown, where it's just a frenetic pace and she speeds you up. But Notre Dame bounced from the tournament by Connecticut, Mike and Sarasota. Morning, Mike. What's on your mind today. Hey, good morning, DP. First time, long time, five nine and a good dad. Bought 162. So I got a best and a worst best is Marvin Zukon, Huskies. Our whole house was going nuts for that game. I'm surprised the, the cops didn't get called on us the whole time. We were, we were literally rooting for Marvin too. So congratulations to him and his Huskies. Love to see that. And then worst of the weekend is I'm going to take a little sidestep here and go with Israel Adesanya in the ufc. He got handed to losses over this weekend and just tough to see a legend go down, you know, like that. So just best, best to him and, and his future and all that. But anyway, good luck to you, Marvin. Love it, love the show. DP and talk to you later. Thank you. Mike8773, DP show email address dp@danpatrick.com do does everybody have a favorite sports moment? Marvin had his. Todd, do you have a sports moment? Not a game, but a sports moment. The initially the moment was Mark Jackson catching that up. The drive, the 98 yard drive that touched it and that caused overtime that they beat the Browns in the AFC championship game in Cleveland. But the Broncos officially, when Mobley knocked down the ball to clinch The Broncos Super Bowl 32 win over the packers would probably have to trump everything for me. All right, Seaton, do you have a moment? Probably the Malcolm Butler catch that was, I'll never forget that. Where I was, who I was with, what I was doing. That was incredible. Paulie. Ben Zobris double for the cubs in the 10th inning of a 66 game. Game 7 of the World Series. Hour 2 on the way, we'll talk to Seth Greenberg, former college coach, now analyst for the Mothership. More of your phone calls as well. One in the books. Two more to go. Dan Patrick Show. This is an iHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human.
